What makes Yata and Saruhiko so good for each other, romantically and platonically?
The two of them were designed as parallels to each other and I think a lot of that is why they work so well together, both as friends and romantically. A lot of these kinda blur together between both platonic and romantic but just in general as partners, I think the fact that they manage to be different and yet have similarities makes their dynamic work. For example, Yata being loud and impulsive and not the smartest, compared to Fushimi being generally more analytical and cool-headed — Fushimi makes the plans and Yata carries them out. You can see this in LSW with the jungle surprise party (even though they fail, but they had no way of knowing at the time that they were up against a King), Fushimi is the one coordinating things while Yata is the person on the ground. They’re basically a good team in this way, where one can cover for the other’s weakness. They both have a similar sense of stubbornness and not wanting to lose which leads them to work well together, they’re very attuned to each other’s movements and style. Even after being apart for so long they still manage to work together perfectly in ROK to take down Sukuna, they don’t need to even discuss their plan because even in this situation they both know how the other fights (compared to the earlier fight at the beginning of the season, where Fushimi in particular is not even trying to be in sync with Yata, and I think the fight at the end shows that even after all that time Fushimi absolutely could have teamed up perfectly with Yata if he’d been willing to let himself do it).
Emotionally I think they also work well even though they’ve had communication issues, because again there’s a lot of covering for each other’s ‘weaknesses,’ so to speak. Fushimi is intellectually mature where Yata’s not that bright but emotionally Yata’s considerably more mature (not without his problems, of course, but we see throughout the series how he’s growing in that aspect) while Fushimi has the emotional maturity of a kitchen knife. That Yata’s so honest and wears his emotions on his sleeve is I think something that works really well with Fushimi particularly in a romantic aspect, because Fushimi is not at all versed in reading things on an emotional level that aren’t said and I think he’d struggle with a partner who doesn’t show affection strongly because Fushimi can’t help but read lack of affection as rejection. That Yata is very clear and open with his feelings is something Fushimi needs, even in middle school I think Fushimi himself would never want to admit just how much good it did him that Yata would touch him casually, and of course he’s always been clear about that ‘look at me with shining eyes.’ On the opposite side while Yata does struggle to understand Fushimi it’s something he’s willing to work on because Yata’s a stubborn person who won’t give up on someone he loves, Yata knows that Fushimi has prickly parts of his personality but Yata also knows that Fushimi is amazing so he has a lot more tolerance than I think many people would have when it comes to Fushimi being sharp-tongued or gloomy.
Similarly Yata’s bright personality compared to Fushimi’s gloomy one works in their favor. I think having Fushimi there to help balance him keeps Yata from becoming overbearing at times — contrast Yata’s experience with the Yata Team in middle school, where Yata is dragging them around even though they don’t like him, versus how he talks to Fushimi, I think he’s able to keep himself in check more around Fushimi because if he does start running off to do what he wants Fushimi will click his tongue and basically pull Yata back down. For Fushimi, I think it helps that Yata’s so willing to go with Fushimi’s flow and fill silences on his own, not expecting anything from Fushimi other than what Fushimi wants to give. In Side Red there’s the whole scene at the amusement park where Fushimi ends up next to Mikoto and is all uncomfortable and awkward, feeling like he has to say something and hating it because Fushimi can’t stand not knowing what this person wants from him or what’s expected of him. But Yata’s always nothing but clear when it comes to that sort of thing, if the two of them were sitting together Yata’s perfectly willing to keep the conversation going on his own while waiting for Fushimi to chime in with something Yata knows will be amazing. The two of them are just clearly so comfortable together when they’re not at odds, like despite their differences they both fit together perfectly.

K character with the biggest dick/K characters by dick size???
Some of y’all need Jesus, she said while answering anyway. So first please note this is just based on my opinion and deep textual analysis, and should not be taken as fact. That said, I totally think Mikoto is the biggest. He just has that energy. He already has bigger tits than anyone outside of Awashima, his dick must be big to match. Besides, do you know what the first character shot of K as a series is? That’s right, Suoh Mikoto’s crotch. It must mean something.
Tumblr media
Second would naturally be Munakata, just barely, but enough to irritate him and insist that it can’t be more than a few millimeters at most. The man who wears Speedos without shame knows what he’s packing and refuses to feel shame for it, his morals are crystal pure and his dick as big as his intellect (okay, maybe not that big). Also it’s canonical that his Sword of Damocles is huge, and you know what they say about men with big Swords.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Fushimi and his suspiciously detailed crotch, he and Yata are probably pretty even in the size department just as part of their usual character parallels. If there’s any difference it would likely be that Yata’s is a little shorter but thicker, while Fushimi’s is longer and slimmer. I say this an expert in the subject of Fushimi’s nether regions, being the owner of a sizable amount of Fushimi-centric doujinshis. Anyway, remember it’s not the size that matters, it’s knowing how to use it (neither one of them knows how to use it).
Kusanagi on the other hand probably does know how to use his. I imagine his is fairly average to big, not overwhelming or anything but respectable. Kusanagi doesn’t need a big dick, have you seen the size of his bar? Kusanagi knows his way around hard smooth wood.Totsuka meanwhile I feel like everyone would assume he’s on the small side because he’s the weakest clansman in Homra but I think it would be hilarious if he was only second to Mikoto in size. Like it’s not as if the Homra guys gossip about this kind of thing but you know they’ve discussed it at least once and most people decided poor Totsuka-san must be smaller than average. So of course the first time they all go to public bath everyone’s shocked to find out Totsuka is packing his own Sword of Damocles, if you know what I mean I can’t believe I just wrote that look what you people have done.
On the jungle side, Yukari’s is probably the perfect length and size in every way, because even his dick must be the most beautiful. Hisui is hard to puzzle out because on the one hand he is a zombie wrapped up like a burrito so, like, is the blood flow really flowing down there so to speak. On the other hand he does run a massive internet community and can send people out to take illicit photos and videos with a word so you know that boy has seen things. Either way I bet it gets bigger when he does his magical girl transformation.

Yata now earns a lot of money and wants to waste it all on Saruhiko, who always tries to refuse.
Aw, Yata is definitely the type who wants to spoil his boyfriend. Especially since he’s so used to being poor himself and barely scraping by, now that he has money he wants to finally be the one who pays for stuff. Like imagine post-ROK Yata manages to win a skating competition and he starts becoming more and more successful, unexpectedly turning into a big sports star in the course of a few months. Soon he’s even getting sponsorships and Yata is amazed because he’s never had this much money in his life, I get the impression that his family lived pretty modestly and of course after he leaves home he’s mostly bouncing around part time jobs. Now that he suddenly has money and can afford things that he could never even imagine before it’s like the most amazing thing to him, like is this how Saruhiko feels being rich.
Now that he has money Yata of course wants to spend it on Fushimi too, to give him gifts and cool stuff that Yata could never afford before. Once they start dating I can imagine Fushimi being pretty casual about paying for everything on Yata’s behalf, like Fushimi is always the one silently paying for dinner or buying Yata drinks. Whenever Yata says anything Fushimi teases him over being poor and it made Yata really annoyed, like just because we can’t all have cushy government jobs, but also imagine he’s been a little insecure all this time that he’s like mooching off of Saruhiko. So now that Yata can afford his own things he wants to pay for Fushimi’s too and I could see him even going a bit overboard, like he’s buying Fushimi fancy knives or taking him out to expensive places so Yata can flash all his cash and show that he can take care of Fushimi too.
I could imagine this backfiring though, especially if Yata doesn’t get to take Fushimi out as much because he’s busy with skateboard stuff. Like he tries to gift Fushimi some expensive phone or something so that they can keep in touch when Yata’s traveling for competition and Fushimi gets all sour about it, muttering that the watch is enough isn’t it, or is Yata going to replace that too. Yata’s like what the hell you know I wouldn’t do that, not understanding why Fushimi is so annoyed about it. Eventually Yata manages to pin Fushimi down to ask why he doesn’t like getting things from Yata, like you always bought stuff for me so now I’m buying fancy stuff for you, isn’t that good. Fushimi clicks his tongue and says if Yata’s just trying to pay a debt he can forget it, Fushimi doesn’t want those kinds of things — he doesn’t want useless expensive things like that woman would give him when he was a kid. Yata realizes that just as much as he wants to give things to Fushimi, Fushimi also wanted to give things to him and hasn’t been keeping score at all, he didn’t want anything back from Yata except for Yata to be with him. After this I imagine Yata scales back and starts buying more of the things he would get for Fushimi back when he didn’t have money, even simple things like bringing home Chinese and asking Fushimi to eat with him is enough to make Fushimi happy.

Yata: Clitoris?!? Labia Majora?!?!? DAMN, SARU, HOW MANY PUSSIES YOU HAVE??
Imagining this with trans Fushimi, where they start dating and Yata suddenly realizes that he has no idea what he’s supposed to do once they get physical. Yata’s always thought of Fushimi as a guy after all and was probably punching people out in middle school for daring to say different, so it’s not really until the first time he gets up enough courage to slide a hand down Fushimi’s pants that he remembers Fushimi doesn’t have a dick down there and oh shit what am I supposed to do. Imagine Fushimi totally mocking him about it too (probably at least in part to cover his own self consciousness, the worry that Yata won’t want to touch him anymore because Fushimi’s trans, because he’s not ‘normal’), like ‘really Misaki a virgin like you can’t do anything.’ Yata insists that it’s fine but he’s all nervous and probably ends up just kissing Fushimi instead, because he doesn’t know what he’s doing and he’s afraid that he might accidentally hurt Saruhiko if he just feels around blindly.
Even Yata can tell that Fushimi’s disappointed though and Yata doesn’t want Fushimi to feel like Yata was purposefully pulling back, so he decides okay even if it’s embarrassing he’s gonna figure out how this all works. Imagine Yata buying a bunch of like sexual wellness type books or like women’s sexual health stuff, even though Fushimi isn’t a woman this will have the info he needs. This leads to Fushimi walking into the apartment to find a very red-faced Yata staring at an anatomical portrait of a vagina and repeating words in confusion like wait Saruhiko how many of these things do you have and how the hell am I supposed to be able to find any of them with just my hands. Fushimi stares at him and then just starts laughing, like Yata looks so ridiculous but also it’s a sudden relief when he realizes that Yata wasn’t disgusted with him, Yata’s just a total virgin is all.

Monsterfucker Fushimi with monster Yata!!!
Finally some good fucking monsters food :3c Imagine monstrous Yata stirring feelings in Fushimi that he never knew (but then again he does hate humans, and Yata isn’t human). Like AU where Yata is some kind of beast that can take on humanoid form but his ‘real’ form is like this red beast with claws and teeth and all that. Fushimi is the son of like a long line of monster hunters but initially he’s actually afraid of them because Niki enjoyed using his son as ‘bait.’ One day though Niki gets killed by a monster and Fushimi wandering alone in the forest is found by another kid his age, Yata, who just so happens to have golden eyes and suspiciously long nails. Imagine Fushimi like collapsing right by Yata, who can’t leave an innocent person like this alone so Yata takes Fushimi back to his place to be taken care of. This leads to Fushimi basically staying with Yata, Yata doesn’t know who this skinny kid is but Saruhiko has amazing knowledge of so many things and Yata loves listening to him talk. Yata’s worried that if Fushimi finds out what his true form is though Fushimi might be scared or run away and so he delays telling him, all while Fushimi knows that Yata is hiding something from him and starts to get paranoid that Yata will leave him.
This eventually turns into a whole messy thing with the rest of Yata’s fellow monsters of Homra finding out that Fushimi’s the son of a hunter and Fushimi leaving to join monster hunting group S4 because he thinks Yata will choose Homra over him and then they’re enemies for a while before finally reconciling. The two of them eventually admit their feelings for each other and imagine Yata’s still hesitant about showing Fushimi his ‘real’ self, Fushimi calls him an idiot and says Yata must look even stupider as a monster if he’s so worried. When Yata finally transforms Fushimi just stares at him for a moment before clicking his tongue and being like I expected something scary but you’re still too much of a shortie. Yata’s all shut up but really he’s relieved that Fushimi’s accepted him and imagine them hanging out more when Yata’s in monster form, like they’ll be sitting together in front of the fire and Fushimi’s reading a book while absently petting Yata’s fur.
Of course then this leads to the whole physical aspect of their relationship, because Yata can’t hold onto his humanoid form well when he’s dealing with a lot of different sensations and basically sex is something where he’ll be so sensitive that he has to do it while in his true form. I imagine this starting with them making out and Yata’s initially in his human form but as he gets more into it he starts to get monster-y, like his teeth get sharper and he’s biting Fushimi’s lips, or his nails grow to claws that start scratching Fushimi’s back (and Yata’s all worried that first time it happens but then Fushimi just licks the blood from his lips and grins, because he wants Yata to mark him, to show the world that Fushimi is his). Sex would be a whole thing because Yata’s trying to control his strength but also he’s just feeling it so much and Fushimi keeps egging him on, moaning when Yata’s claws scratch him, and Yata didn’t know that Fushimi would be so turned on by his beast self.

Which character do you think would elicit panic among the other characters if they say the phrase "Desperate times call for desperate measures."?
Oh definitely Totsuka, Homra despairs of the day they hear Totsuka state that ‘desperate times call for desperate measures,’ all the while smiling very pleasantly. Imagine the Homra guys getting into some spot and Kusanagi isn’t around, Totsuka brightly says if that’s the case then don’t worry, desperate times call for desperate measures after all, and anyway does someone have some flares and a shoe that I can borrow. Yata nervously asks if wouldn’t it be best to wait for Kusanagi to show up and think up a plan, Totsuka’s all don’t worry don’t worry I can handle this, by the way can I borrow your skateboard. Even Mikoto is slightly hesitant, imagine him giving Totsuka a look and asking what he’s planning. Totsuka smiles calmly and says it’s just desperate measures King, don’t worry I’m sure no one will get hurt this time. Mikoto considers that and then is like fine, do what you want, while the rest of Homra are all ‘wait wait what did he mean this time?’.
(Alternatively: Munakata. If Munakata is planning desperate measures then things are probably terrible. If it’s a really dangerous situation like there are hostages or a bomb threat then it’s fine, because Munakata always has a plan and is never that desperate. If they’ve gone on a clan hiking trip and a bear just stole all their food now it’s time to be worried, because Captain is resorting to desperate measures and we’re probably all either going to have to forage for berries or possibly wrestle a bear.)

yata and fushimi doing that iq test scene in young sheldon (intelligence iq vs emotional iq) where fushimi passes intelligence iq test easily but is so so lost on the emotionally intelligent part and opposite for yata
And that’s why they work so well together XD Imagine this as like some middle school test they have to take as part of a lesson, just a standardized test to measure both practical and emotional intelligence. Before the test Fushimi is lightly teasing Yata, like of course Misaki won’t get a very high score on intelligence. Yata’s like shut up, just because you’re going to get the highest grade in the class. Fushimi grins all that’s right, this test is stupid but he might as well try a little just to show up Misaki (and maybe he’s possibly hoping that Yata will look at Fushimi’s score later and call Fushimi amazing). The practical intelligence test is first and Fushimi breezes through it without even really trying, like if he misses answers it’s not even that he didn’t know it’s just he didn’t care enough to try and figure it out. Yata meanwhile is suffering, he doesn’t know any of this and did we even learn this in class, this sucks. Afterward when grades are handed out Yata doesn’t even want to show anyone his, imagine the teacher just sighing at him like this is why you need to stop skipping class. Fushimi just smirks and shows his high score and Yata’s all well forget about mine, Saruhiko did amazing so that’s all that he cares about.
And then the emotional intelligence test happens and poor Fushimi is so, so lost. I imagine the rest of the class, being emotionally stable and all, finish their tests pretty quickly and talk about how easy the test was, most of it is intuitive after all. Yata has a super easy time with this one because he just chooses whatever answer he immediately feels is best, not thinking too hard about it. Fushimi meanwhile probably doesn’t even finish because I could see him getting frustrated at the lack of a clear qualitative answer and deciding that this is stupid and he’s going to skip the rest of class and hide in the bathroom now. Afterward Yata’s talking about how the test was kinda fun wasn’t it, it gave him a personality type ranking and apparently he’s the kind who has a ton of empathy, isn’t that cool. Fushimi clicks his tongue and Yata’s like how did you do Saruhiko, Fushimi shrugs and says it isn’t a big deal, let’s go to the arcade. Yata takes that in and then smiles and says yeah, let’s go, pretending not to notice when Fushimi throws his paper away.

How will the sarumis look physically after ten years? They're getting old and it's cute...
This is anime so they’ll probably just look the same as they do now but with maybe a tiny wrinkle line by each eye XD Technically we already kinda know how Fushimi will look, he’ll probably look pretty similar to Niki but with glasses and a scowl. You know that moment in LSW where Yata first meets Niki and thinks Fushimi will look handsome when he grows up, imagine Fushimi occasionally having a mild crisis over looking more like Niki and Yata thoughtlessly blurts out that Fushimi did turn out handsome just like Yata thought. Fushimi clicks his tongue about it but he’s actually somewhat less insecure about his looks now. I like to think Fushimi does at least get a little less pale and skinny, that post-ROK he’s convinced to take better care of himself and he actually looks somewhat healthy now or at least less unhealthy. I like the idea of him growing his hair out a little too maybe just to differentiate from Niki even more, and he sometimes pulls it back into a ponytail which Yata actually finds really hot.
Yata meanwhile is still waiting for his growth spurt to happen (any day now! Any day!). I feel like he’d be maybe a little less baby-faced at least, like he’s not being mistaken for a kid so much anymore. I could see him getting more visibly muscular too, all that skateboarding and training paying off, and that’s part of what helps him look more like an adult and less like a kid. Fushimi of course isn’t going to complain at all about Yata’s  nice muscular abs and defined thighs, though he still gets to tease Yata about being a shorty. I feel like Yata would grow into himself a bit more by this time, like he’s more confident in his appearance and even though he still rises to the bait about his height he’s less worried about looking childish.

SaruMi go to the zoo and keep trying to insult each other by comparing them to animals.
Fushimi pointing out that everything with the name ‘pygmy’ or ‘little’ in its name must be related to Misaki while Yata’s like at least I don’t look like a penguin XD Imagine this was initially intended to be a romantic date too, like Yata figures this is one of those places people go on dates and if they go on a weekday it won’t be too crowded so Fushimi won’t complain. Of course Fushimi complains anyway (it isn’t Fushimi if he’s not complaining) because it’s outside and smells like animals and anyway only little kids go to the zoo. Yata’s like come on it’s fun, remember when we went in middle school, when Yata’s mom was taking his siblings and Yata and Fushimi came along to chaperone. Fushimi claims he didn’t care for it then too but really it’s probably a precious memory of his because he’d never been to the zoo before that and rather than watching the kids they probably spent the whole time running around together with Yata staring at all the animals and being super excited. Fushimi gets a small smile thinking about it and Yata just grins, knowing that even with all the complaining Yata’s definitely won this round.
They wander around the zoo looking at animals and of course when they get to the monkey house Yata can’t help but tease that hey, isn’t that gloomy one there you. Fushimi clicks his tongue and says the monkeys are definitely more Yata’s type, being uselessly loud. He spots one cage and is like here’s your soulmate Misaki, a pygmy marmoset. Yata probably doesn’t know what ‘pygmy’ even means (much less marmoset, imagine him being like did you just call me a bug), Fushimi’s grinning as he reads off the information plaque about how this is the smallest monkey in the world, just like Yata is the smallest Homra member. Yata grumbles that Anna is smaller than him and Fushimi’s just like ‘right now,’ Yata says to shut up and let’s go look at some birds. Yata probably points to a random crow eating trash off the ground and is like that’s you, being a nuisance, while Fushimi is like aren’t you the crow as he points out an exhibit featuring the Australian little crow.
Yata decides birds are no good, let’s just go check out the arctic animals inside. Fushimi finds himself staring at a snow leopard and feeling like it’s familiar somehow, but definitely not Misaki-like. Yata’s looking for something to compare to Fushimi, like hey there’s a stingray you’re definitely prickly like that. Then he sees a gloomy little penguin standing away from the other ones in the exhibit, it has ring marks like glasses around its eyes and maybe it keeps waving a wing like it’s gonna smack anyone who comes near. Yata’s like that is definitely you. Fushimi blinks and then clicks his tongue, he is not a penguin. Yata’s decided though, he’s like nope, you’re a penguin. Fushimi says he doesn’t need to hear that from a pygmy marmoset, Yata’s all okay penguin whatever you say. (They keep teasing like this the rest of the day but then imagine at the end of the date Yata goes into the gift shop and buys Fushimi a little penguin charm and Fushimi retaliates by getting Yata a monkey one. Later Yata spots the penguin charm dangling from Fushimi’s PDA and grins.)

Can i get a scenario where mikoto is comforting a sad and lonely reishi. Like he's doing it in his own way the best he knows how. Like maybe he won't leave munakata alone all day, but doesn't say why. And towards the end when munakata is finally starting to feel safe he just breaks down crying with Mikoto holding him
This being Mikoto I imagine his way of helping is such that Munakata assumes that Mikoto’s just bothering him all day, totally unaware that Mikoto is actually trying in his own way to take Munakata’s mind off things. Imagine this in maybe an Everybody Lives style AU and say Munakata’s dad collapses one day while at work. He’s in the hospital and Munakata’s brother is with him but Munakata himself has only time for a short visit, because he’s so busy with work in the aftermath of the Slate being destroyed. He’s aware that his dad is getting on in years and Munakata tells himself well objectively this is to be expected but really it’s very hard on him, because even though Munakata is different from his family and rarely gets to see them he still loves them.
Mikoto notices right away that something is off with Munakata, like they run into each other dealing with a Strain and Munakata doesn’t even lecture him about being lazy and there’s no strength in the punch he aims at Mikoto’s head. Imagine Mikoto even says as much, like ‘you’re off your game today, Munakata,’ and Munakata gets just the briefest of pained expressions, so fleeting most people wouldn’t have even noticed, but Mikoto does. Munakata says he is perfectly fine thank you and Mikoto makes a hmm sound, figuring this guy is as always an idiot.
So after this meeting Mikoto decides to stay with Munakata all day, like Munakata goes back to his office and Mikoto is already there moving around puzzle pieces. Munakata huffs that he will be unable to get any work at all done with Mikoto there and Mikoto’s all ‘too bad,’ burning a puzzle piece. Munakata decides to go get some tea to calm his nerves and Mikoto comes along too, telling Munakata to buy things for him (and Munakata keeps calling him a child and telling him to pay for things himself, but still puts everything in the basket and pays for it all). Munakata goes back to do some work and Mikoto takes a nap on his desk chair while Munakata sits on the tatami sorting papers.
Later Munakata tries to sneak outside for a smoke break and Mikoto is already there, easily lighting it for him. Maybe right before this Munakata got some bad news about his dad and he’s extra on edge so he finally just gets too exasperated, wondering what he could have done to Suoh so badly that he’s been bothering Munakata all day, not even giving him more than a moment alone. Mikoto takes a long drag on his cigarette and then says ‘just figured you looked like you shouldn’t be alone today.’ Munakata’s eyes go wide as that sinks in and he doesn’t quite break down but he ends up sagging against Mikoto, head buried in Mikoto’s shoulder as he says Mikoto is certainly an insufferable man. Mikoto just gives this noncommittal ‘yeah,’ wrapping an arm around Munakata and then just standing there holding him close in silence.

I'm sure you've been asked this, but imagine post-ROK, yata starts realizing with the help of other people that his feelings for fushimi mayy be more than just platonic. And then he asks fushimi out at the worst possible time like at his job and it totally catches fushimi off guard
I can totally see Yata just blurting it out at the worst possible time, like Fushimi is swamped with work and there are a bunch of witnesses and Munakata is probably there smiling and making everything worse XD I imagine Yata spends at least some time trying to convince himself that these feelings must just be platonic, he’s just happy to have his best friend back that’s all. Some of this could really be even just Yata having been actually crushing on Fushimi since middle school and so it really doesn’t occur to him that he’s in love because his feelings never changed, he’s been unaware for years now that he was in love. The other Homra guys can totally see it though, Yata coming back to the bar after going drinking with Fushimi and talking about what a great time he had with Saruhiko. Chitose laughs and shakes his head all you’re crushing hard huh, Yata’s like wait what crush no, it’s just that Saruhiko is so cool, that’s all. Akagi adds that it definitely sounds like a crush and the whole Homra alphabet agree, like come on Yata we know you’ve been in love with him since you guys joined up as snot-nosed middle schoolers. Yata doesn’t want to believe it, all but I’m a guy and he’s a guy and anyway we’re friends, and the Homra guys are just like that shouldn’t matter and anyway it’s so obvious to everyone that you’re in love.
Yata definitely wrestles with this for a bit, like he’s got the one two punch of discovering his sexuality and realizing that he’s been in love with his best friend for ages, and probably also worrying like what if those guys were wrong and this isn’t love and I screw things up just when me and Saru were becoming friends again. But eventually he has to admit it to himself, that when Fushimi’s rare smiles make his breath catch and his heart pound, he really is in love. So now he has to figure out how to tell Fushimi, he’s never confessed to anyone before and he doesn’t really know how to do it. He’s also still a little worried about getting rejected, like Yata thinks he’d be fine with it and would be friends with Fushimi anyway but what if Fushimi gets skittish about the whole thing and doesn’t want to be Yata’s friend anymore.
Maybe what spurs Yata on is he walks into the bar one day and Kusanagi tells him there was an incident at S4, Fushimi was injured. He’s okay but refusing to go to the hospital because there’s work to do and Awashima was wondering if Yata could help with that. Yata barely hears the last part, brain immediately latching on to ‘Saruhiko was injured’ and he grabs his skateboard and heads straight for S4. Imagine him rushing into the office where Fushimi is rebuffing Hidaka’s attempts to get him to lay down, complaining that it’s just a minor head wound and he needs to finish this paperwork first. Yata yells his name across the room and Fushimi freezes, looking up all ‘Misaki?’. Of course everyone is staring at them now as Yata rushes over to him and starts fussing, like you’re bleeding idiot why aren’t you resting what if something happened to you. Fushimi clicks his tongue, not sure why Yata is even here, and then Yata gives this relieved sigh as he says he was so worried and finally he just blurts out ‘I’m in love with you.’
The entire room goes dead silent and imagine Fushimi’s face getting red as he’s like what are talking about, Yata says he didn’t mean to just spit it out but he wasn’t lying either. Yata suddenly realizes that they are the center of attention and also Saruhiko’s King is smiling and he’s all awkward now, grabbing Fushimi by the wrist like come on let’s go to the infirmary and we can talk while you get your head bandaged. Fushimi’s brain is still rebooting so he lets himself be dragged off and he doesn’t even complain, staring at Yata like he’s seeing something entirely new for the first time.

Saruhiko getting a bit emotional when he spends time with his daughter and with how much she looks like him, especially when he was really young.
What I like about this is imagine Fushimi thinking his daughter looks like him and it doesn’t even occur to him that this makes her look like Niki too, like he’s just unconsciously stopped associating his own face with Niki. Imagine he has this cute little baby daughter and initially he doesn’t really think of her as looking like him, all babies look alike right. But as she gets older he can see the resemblance more and I imagine people telling him that a lot, like he brings her to S4 and everyone is cooing over her like doesn’t she look like a tiny Fushimi-san. Fushimi hadn’t really thought about that before but now that he looks at her he can really see himself in her, in her eyes and her face, the big difference between him as a child and his daughter is that his daughter actually looks happy. And imagine it’s not until some time later, as he’s thinking again about how much he sees himself in her, that he does actually realize that he hasn’t even thought of Niki once. Now that those looks are reflected in this kid it’s like all of a sudden his face is really his own, not an echo of the ghost he wants to forget, but his own face that was passed down to his daughter and that man isn’t part of it at all.

I imagine Kusanagi would be like 😂
Person A: "Be quiet.”
Person B: “…..I didn’t say anything?”
I mean this is probably Kusanagi regularly when he’s at the bar, he can just sense when the Homra guys are gonna get rowdy XD Like imagine he’s on a call with a supplier for one of his restaurants, he’s busy taking notes about pricing and inventory and such and Yata comes walking into the bar. Kusanagi immediately pulls the phone away from his ear for a moment as he covers it and sternly tells Yata ‘Yata-chan, be quiet.’ Yata’s like ‘…but I didn’t say any—‘ and immediately cuts off with a gulp as Kusanagi makes a slashing motion by his throat. Yata sighs and sits down at the bar, pouring himself a glass of water as Kamamoto walks in looking for him. Again Kusanagi looks up with a ‘be quiet,’ Kamamoto looks apologetic even though he hasn’t actually said anything yet and meanwhile Yata’s wondering why Kusanagi was still looking at him.
Eventually there’s a growing crowd of alphabet boys at the bar, all perfectly silent as they sit awkwardly waiting to be able to talk again. Anna primly walks downstairs and Kusanagi just smiles at her, Yata starts to ask why she wasn’t told to be quiet and is glared into silence. That’s when the door swings open and Mikoto and Totsuka walk inside, Totsuka happily greets everyone even as they’re all frantically making ‘be quiet’ gestures. Totsuka’s all ‘hmm? Is something the problem? Is there something on my face?’. Yata finally hisses out ‘Kusanagi-san said to be quiet’ and now Kusanagi is like ‘Yata-chan, quiet.’ Yata’s like wait why me as Totsuka laughs and says maybe it’s just that Yata looks loud is all.  Meanwhile Mikoto starts quietly snoring on the couch and no one says a word, if Kusanagi wants the Red King quiet he can do that himself.

Yata wishing his daughter was more playful and Fushimi looks at Yata with a raised eyebrow like "she's literally fresh out of the womb..."
BTW, can we get Saruhiko bonding with his daughter? I think the world is in need of that.
Imagine Yata being concerned that his kid is awfully quiet and sits around a lot, like what if she grows up to a skinny nerd like Saruhiko instead of strong and active like Yata XD I could see him being worried in an overprotective sort of way, like he has little siblings so intellectually he knows that brand new babies aren’t the most active and it’s not like his daughter can do much besides eat and cry and poop but still, he thought she’d be a little more active like him. He’s wondering if she’s sick or should we take her back to the doctor, do you think she’s eating enough, maybe we should take her outside more. Fushimi just clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes all aren’t you the one who’s supposed to know about babies, she can’t even roll over yet give her some time.Yata laughs and says that’s true, maybe she needs a little more time.
Though he has noticed Fushimi staring at their daughter a lot too, as if he’s not entirely sure what to do with her. Fushimi denies it but imagine whenever he has to handle the nighttime feedings and things like that, Fushimi probably takes care of those a lot because he’s most often the one still awake late at night. He sits there with the kid in his lap and a bottle and just watches her, like trying to reconcile that this kid is his and he’s her father and this tiny human is dependent on him. It reminds him of his own shitty parents and he starts to feel nervous again, but then his daughter coos and tries to grab onto his thumb, laughing happily. Fushimi’s eyes get all wide and his daughter looks right up at him, so happy, and imagine Fushimi just clicking his tongue and muttering ‘don’t think you can butter me up.’ But of course he’s totally charmed and Yata probably finds them both in the morning asleep in the chair, Fushimi cradling the baby gently.

Saruhiko being hesitant to grow closer to Yata again because of a lingering feeling that it'll all happen again and maybe even worse than before?
I could see this happening, especially if things start to change in their relationship. Like Fushimi is managing to keep it together and stop worrying about things breaking again while he and Yata rekindle their friendship but then he starts having romantic feelings and now suddenly it’s like wait no stop emergency emergency. Maybe Yata even ends up confessing and they’re both happy for a while — but an actual relationship involves a lot of ups and downs, and Fushimi is very much not ready to recognize that those downs are natural and not a reason to immediately shut down.
Like I could see after their first fight, say it’s something silly and they end up making up afterward so Yata’s happy and everything’s good. But Fushimi can’t stop obsessively turning the whole thing over in his head, the things he said in the heat of the moment, the way his heart suddenly started pounding harder when Yata looked upset. He tells himself not to think about it, it’s solved already after all, but then the next mild disagreement rears its ugly head and Fushimi’s feeling uneasy and nervous again. I could see him pulling away from Yata a little, like suddenly he has to work more hours and he doesn’t have time for dates or things, he doesn’t even really stop by the bar anymore. Fushimi knows he’s ignoring Yata and that it won’t end well but at the same time he can’t help but feel like maybe he was wrong after all, maybe everything really will break and what if this time it’s worse, what if Yata never wants to see him again.
Of course this time Yata is a little more ready for things, and has learned better than to just assume things and get angry without understanding. I imagine he would corner Fushimi at some point and get the truth out of him, reminding him that Fushimi did promise to say things in a way an idiot can understand and Yata is right here listening so say it again, even if he thinks Yata won’t want to hear it keep saying it. Fushimi being Fushimi he tries to deflect but Yata’s already been through this once and he’s not willing to give up easily this time, I think he would be firm until Fushimi admits the issue. Once Fushimi mutters out ‘what if…it’s worse this time, when I ruin things’ Yata just sighs and grabs him, pulling him close as he’s like it won’t be, I’m not gonna let it be worse, and you have to believe in me for once.

I watched season two a couple of months ago and just recently now im wondering in episode one where saruhiko has yata pinned to the wall how did they fucking get outta that? Like, did they make out or smth?
I mean obviously, there’s only one way out of a kabedon XD I imagine once Fushimi has Yata pinned and everything he started gloating, mocking Yata for being so easily caught. Yata’s like it’s not my fault you fight dirty, Fushimi smiles lazily and says Misaki is too weak, that’s all. Yata’s body suddenly lights up red, trying to melt the knives, and Fushimi gets an irritated look as he puts his own red power into them. Yata gives a smirk and suddenly pulls away, ripping his shirt as he rolls to one side before Fushimi can stop him. Fushimi’s already swinging his sword though, Yata does a spin on the ground and makes a tornado of flames to push Fushimi back and give himself room to move.
Yata manages to grab his bat while Fushimi’s distracted, suddenly a few more knives come flying through Yata’s flames and probably rip his clothes even more. Yata’s like y’know this was my best shirt stupid monkey, Fushimi laughs mockingly like do you even have decent clothing that doesn’t look like the clothes of a worthless thug, Misaki. Yata decides this is getting in his way now and pulls his hoodie off, fists clenched and ready to fight again. Fushimi looks him up and down, strangely intent, and Yata’s like ‘…what? We’re gonna fight now, right?’. Fushimi shakes off his momentary hesitance and pulls out a few more knives, and they start fighting once again. (Eventually the Reds and Blues return to the building where the whole thing started to regroup, and the half naked Awashima looks at the now half-naked Yata, his tank top also ripped to shreds, and raises an eyebrow at Fushimi.)
