Imagine AU where Shiro finds the Slate but it turns out that there’s like some kind of cult attached to it, who sacrifice people to the ‘spirit’ of the Slate in order to be protected from the outside world. Shiro is a researcher who’s heard about this group, that they own this fragment of rock that’s said to give people special powers, and he wants to find out more to see if this can be harnessed for the greater good. He’s heard that the people in the village around where the Slate is rumored to exist are insular but he didn’t think that would be so much of a problem, just be friendly and it’s fine. At first it seems like that worked well enough too, he’s welcomed into the village and given food and a nice warm place to sleep.
Except it turns out his food was drugged and he wakes up tied to this fragment of the Slate, intended to be used as a sacrifice to its power. Shiro’s like wait a second I think there was a misunderstanding but the people just say an outsider who knows about the Slate deserves to be sacrificed. Unfortunately the ritual is interrupted by a parrot landing in the magic circle, the next thing Shiro knows a green-haired man in white clothes is standing before him looking curious and the Slate has disappeared. The villagers try to attack the man but he just looks at them and they all disappear on the spot. It turns out Hisui was one of seven ‘Kings’ trapped in pieces of the Slate and somehow the ritual has led him to be bound to Shiro. Shiro is all excuse me what does ‘bound’ mean and Hisui gives a rare smile as he says he is excited to learn more about the outside world, he looks forward to Shiro teaching him.
So Hisui being released has led to instability in the country and now the two of them have to like go on a journey together to find the other pieces of the Slate and awaken them (this all feels oddly familiar to Shiro, who has vague memories of the village he grew up in having a legend about a magic piece of rock and the long-haired spirit who’s supposed to have resided there and may have possibly been bound in the body of an orphaned child but that’s silly, surely just a tale to scare children). The parrot that interrupted the ritual was also affected by it and Hisui can inhabit its body, so imagine a lot of the time as they travel he’s sitting on Shiro’s shoulder in parrot form. He doesn’t so much flirt as he seems unaware of a lot of social norms and is very curious for Shiro to enlighten him, always asking things and not realizing that some of these may be very embarrassing. Shiro is nervous at first but he starts to find that this isn’t so bad of an arrangement, Hisui is an intriguing person — though it would be easier if his eyes weren’t so striking and if he wasn’t constantly so close, because Shiro is becoming entranced and that can’t be good, right.

So imagine that after the Slate is destroyed all people who had their memories erased by the Rabbits gradually start to regain them. Of course this includes Honami. And since she's the only remaining (blood) relative of Anna she probably should (or could) get legal custody of her. I think Kusanagi and Homra won't mind this. But what if Honami didn't wanna stay in Japan where all of this happened, her brother and his wife were killed, she got her memories erased and her little niece was tortured and suffered so much. Given that she's an English teacher I could see her wanting to move to America since she knows the language. Then what would Anna do in this situation? Would she want to go with her aunt? Or would she want to remain together with Homra? I know that things aren't the same after the Slate was destroyed and the Homra members would gradually drift apart, more or less. That presents us with quite the peculiar situation. So what do you think will happen? (sorry if the ask is all over the place, I'm writing it on the go before I forget)
There was a short comic I saw right after ROK aired that had Honami remembering and immediately running to Homra to hug Anna, I like imagining that was canon (and actually Gora did say at one of their K events that Honami may remember Anna post-ROK). I think things would be kinda awkward with Honami remembering, especially since Kusanagi would presumably have to explain both why Honami forgot and why they couldn’t tell her anything afterward. Honami would probably be pretty shell-shocked in the aftermath, finding out about Kings and the Slate and Anna’s powers (they might hold off on adding that Anna is Red King, so they don’t overwhelm her), and even hearing all this I could see Honami being upset with herself that she was able to forget something so important as Anna. Honami asks Anna to come home with her and I could see Anna saying yes but it’s worded in such a way that neither Honami or Kusanagi (or even really Anna herself) knows if this is just a visit or if she’s moving in totally.
After a couple nights together Honami sits Anna down for a talk. She thinks Anna has been through a lot and after all this maybe it would be best to put all this fighting and sadness behind them, suggesting that the two of them together move overseas. I kinda imagine this immediately sparking some tension between her and Kusanagi, Kusanagi knows that Honami wants what’s best for Anna but he also doesn’t like Anna being put in a situation where she has to choose between her two ‘families.’ I imagine him trying to talk with Honami and Honami is also upset herself, because she feels like she couldn’t protect Anna all this time and she just wants to give Anna a normal life. Kusanagi can understand that because he wants the same, but he also wants Anna to choose what she herself wants and is worried Anna will be pressured by not wanting Honami to be sad.
Ultimately I feel like this is where Honami gets the revelation that Anna is Red King. Anna goes to talk to Honami and her fire wings appear, Honami is struck speechless. She remembers what Kusanagi told her about Mikoto’s fate but Anna assures her that it isn’t a problem anymore, no one else will die because of the Slate. But the Slate is also the one who brought her all her precious people and gave her the power to protect them, and she includes Honami in that. Anna doesn’t want to lose any members of her family, not anymore, and so she will protect everyone. Honami says Anna shouldn’t have to do that, they should be protecting her, and imagine Anna just hugging her and saying that because everyone protected her she was able to reach this point. She wants to stay in Japan with Homra and she wants to stay by Honami’s side too, so she wants Honami to know that there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore. In the end I imagine Honami giving in because she does love Anna, maybe they do end up taking like a short overseas vacation together so that they can catch up and Honami can spoil Anna a little but ultimately they come back. After this Anna just goes between staying at Homra and staying with Honami and everyone’s on good terms, it’s less like two separate families and more like Anna’s family just got a bit larger.

What makes Yata and Saruhiko so good for each other, romantically and platonically?
The two of them were designed as parallels to each other and I think a lot of that is why they work so well together, both as friends and romantically. A lot of these kinda blur together between both platonic and romantic but just in general as partners, I think the fact that they manage to be different and yet have similarities makes their dynamic work. For example, Yata being loud and impulsive and not the smartest, compared to Fushimi being generally more analytical and cool-headed — Fushimi makes the plans and Yata carries them out. You can see this in LSW with the jungle surprise party (even though they fail, but they had no way of knowing at the time that they were up against a King), Fushimi is the one coordinating things while Yata is the person on the ground. They’re basically a good team in this way, where one can cover for the other’s weakness. They both have a similar sense of stubbornness and not wanting to lose which leads them to work well together, they’re very attuned to each other’s movements and style. Even after being apart for so long they still manage to work together perfectly in ROK to take down Sukuna, they don’t need to even discuss their plan because even in this situation they both know how the other fights (compared to the earlier fight at the beginning of the season, where Fushimi in particular is not even trying to be in sync with Yata, and I think the fight at the end shows that even after all that time Fushimi absolutely could have teamed up perfectly with Yata if he’d been willing to let himself do it).
Emotionally I think they also work well even though they’ve had communication issues, because again there’s a lot of covering for each other’s ‘weaknesses,’ so to speak. Fushimi is intellectually mature where Yata’s not that bright but emotionally Yata’s considerably more mature (not without his problems, of course, but we see throughout the series how he’s growing in that aspect) while Fushimi has the emotional maturity of a kitchen knife. That Yata’s so honest and wears his emotions on his sleeve is I think something that works really well with Fushimi particularly in a romantic aspect, because Fushimi is not at all versed in reading things on an emotional level that aren’t said and I think he’d struggle with a partner who doesn’t show affection strongly because Fushimi can’t help but read lack of affection as rejection. That Yata is very clear and open with his feelings is something Fushimi needs, even in middle school I think Fushimi himself would never want to admit just how much good it did him that Yata would touch him casually, and of course he’s always been clear about that ‘look at me with shining eyes.’ On the opposite side while Yata does struggle to understand Fushimi it’s something he’s willing to work on because Yata’s a stubborn person who won’t give up on someone he loves, Yata knows that Fushimi has prickly parts of his personality but Yata also knows that Fushimi is amazing so he has a lot more tolerance than I think many people would have when it comes to Fushimi being sharp-tongued or gloomy.
Similarly Yata’s bright personality compared to Fushimi’s gloomy one works in their favor. I think having Fushimi there to help balance him keeps Yata from becoming overbearing at times — contrast Yata’s experience with the Yata Team in middle school, where Yata is dragging them around even though they don’t like him, versus how he talks to Fushimi, I think he’s able to keep himself in check more around Fushimi because if he does start running off to do what he wants Fushimi will click his tongue and basically pull Yata back down. For Fushimi, I think it helps that Yata’s so willing to go with Fushimi’s flow and fill silences on his own, not expecting anything from Fushimi other than what Fushimi wants to give. In Side Red there’s the whole scene at the amusement park where Fushimi ends up next to Mikoto and is all uncomfortable and awkward, feeling like he has to say something and hating it because Fushimi can’t stand not knowing what this person wants from him or what’s expected of him. But Yata’s always nothing but clear when it comes to that sort of thing, if the two of them were sitting together Yata’s perfectly willing to keep the conversation going on his own while waiting for Fushimi to chime in with something Yata knows will be amazing. The two of them are just clearly so comfortable together when they’re not at odds, like despite their differences they both fit together perfectly.

NagaShiro x Fae AU where:
The crystal chandelier shimmered beautifully above you, its light seeming to bounce off of every single surface, making the entire room appear as though it were glittering.
It was a magical sight unlike anything you had ever seen before, and yet somehow, it was nothing compared to the other people around you. Just their presence alone, was enough to leave you dazed with awe, and wonder.
If only you could remember how you’d gotten here in the first place.

Imagine Shiro as like this old timey scientist who is studying the existence of fairies and general supernatural phenomenon. Shiro believes that fairies exist and their power could be used to help the world and bring happiness and peace (…Shiro does not know a lot about fairies, even though he’s studying them), or at least maybe their more malevolent sides can be tamed somewhat. There’s this old forest that’s supposed to be a known haven for strange activity and Shiro goes there often to investigate with his sister Klaudia. They’re warned that many people have disappeared in that forest so they should be careful, Shiro says it will be fine because they’ve never had any trouble in this forest. On one visit however he ends up getting separated from his sister, he knows they were just together a moment ago but suddenly he can’t see her. He gets concerned, running around looking for her, and that’s when he trips over a branch and falls into a ravine.
When he opens his eyes again he’s in this fancy silver coat standing in the middle of a ballroom, with this huge chandelier made of glittering gems above him. The ceiling of the ballroom looks like an enormous jungle tree, all glittering green vines and vibrant bark, and the gems from the chandelier cast light all around the room. Shiro finds his attention dragged away from the chandelier to all the people around him, who are dancing as if Shiro isn’t even there. They all look almost human but not quite, like something diagonal to human in a way he can’t place but which is fascinating. Suddenly the crowd stops dancing as this fairy in purple steps out from a doorway, stating that ‘the King’ has arrived.
As everyone turns to watch the chandelier suddenly goes dark, with a spot of light only on Shiro. He can’t see any of the fairies anymore and then this green light starts to shine as someone walks out of the door. Fairy King Hisui is dressed all in greens and whites, with a parrot on his arm and feathers in his hair, and his eyes are shining green as he greets Shiro. There’s something mechanical abou his voice, something analytical that again feels just this side of human. Shiro wonders how he got here and Hisui says that Shiro is his guest, Hisui has been watching Shiro for so long and is intrigued by him. It happens that Shiro’s sister has been kidnapped by foreign fairies that are intruding upon Hisui’s forest and he would like to assist Shiro in saving her. Shiro knows full well that you shouldn’t trust fairies or make deals with them — but there’s something about Hisui that also makes Shiro intrigued, and he decides a little temporary alliance couldn’t hurt, right.

Saruhiko gets charcoal for Christmas when he's little.
Oh you know this happened at least once, Niki wouldn’t be able to resist. The first time Fushimi’s all excited for Christmas, when he’s still young enough to think that maybe Santa exists and maybe he’ll get presents. Niki sees his kid looking all cute and tentatively hopeful for Christmas and warns him that he needs to be good because Santa is watching. Fushimi looks at him wide-eyed as Niki explains that Santa is actually a creepy man who will turn into a scary monster and eat bad kids, then chew up the bones and spit the coal into the stockings of other bad kids as a warning. Fushimi just freezes and Niki laughs, it really is fun to see his little monkey make such an expression. He laughs even more on Christmas day, when he shows up first thing in the morning because he wants to see Fushimi waking up and getting his presents (Niki’s bought him a bunch of gag gifts, which will explode or melt or break in two the moment his kid touches them). Fushimi looks in his stocking nervously and there it is, a stocking full of coal. Niki’s like uh oh you better hide from Santa, look he’s coming for you, and has a good laugh as his poor son runs upstairs to hide.
After this Fushimi is pretty jaded, every year he gets coal and honestly he doesn’t even mind it so much anymore because that’s his least problematic gift. It’s not like Kisa gives him anything and Niki will never stop giving dangerous gifts, Fushimi doesn’t even bother to open those anymore. The coal really becomes less of a bad present and more something that he can try and launch at Niki’s head once he gets it. Sometimes he thinks about using it to set the whole house on fire but he thinks Niki would enjoy that too much, instead he just tosses the coal on the carpet and wonders if Kisa will even notice the mess. (When he spends his first holiday with Misaki he doesn’t even look in his stocking until Yata prods him and it’s full of little trinkets that Yata spent all his pocket money to buy and Fushimi just stares at it wide-eyed, because his stocking has never had anything but coal in it before.)

can you show off your K collection?
The whole collection, you say :D I have a lot, so under the cut so as not to clutter up everyone’s dash.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First: figures. The large military figures are from Alter and the slightly smaller Fushimi one is from Union Creative. The Alter ones are better quality but honestly I like the more dynamic pose of the UC figure better, there’s a matching Yata that I don’t own largely due to lack of space that’s very cool (however the UC Fushimi also has a truly terrifying alternate face…). The larger chibi figures are lottery prizes, I bought them separately in order to be sure I got what I wanted. I like the winter ones best, someday I need to get the Munakata from that set. The smaller figures are a Niitengo Deluxe set, I actually have a couple duplicates from this because I bought two sets. The ‘regular’ set had Mikoto and then there was a special set — I think it was an Animate exclusive? — that had Munakata along with alternate Fushimi and Yata figures. Then I have the teeny Shiro, Fushimi and Hisui which are keychains, I picked those up at a con (they didn’t have Yata which is why I ended up with Shiro and Hisui in there).
Tumblr media
Also on the figure end I have these little guys: K nendoroids! Wait, you may be wondering, I don’t remember any K nendoroids. That’s because we have no official ones (still mad about that!) so I had no choice but to make my own by modifying parts of existing nendoroids. The clothes were purchased from various places online.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next is my full set of K nuis. It took a while to get all these, because when they released the ‘clansmen’ sets I only bought the Blue clan and then regretted it. And no, they didn’t make an official Niki nui, since I had extras I modified them. Hidaka, Benzai, Niki and Douhan are my own customs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More plushies. I believe the larger ones were Sega prizes? I found Munakata and Fushimi being sold as a set online and then hunted down Yata later. The chubby birds are from the Chun Colle line, and of course I had to buy them their own (love) nest. The Saru cat had the clothes sold separately, I think the original listing showed them with a white cat but the black was all AmiAmi had at the time so I have black cat Saru. The Sarumi nuis are from the second release around ROK airing, they’re a bit different than the first release — a little less chubby with more scruffy hair. I have Munakata too, as you can see he’s…busy on top of my desk.
Tumblr media
Standees, because everyone needs a little anime boy on their desk. As you may notice, one of these things is not like the other. That’s right: Yata’s wearing bunny ears! Also Kuroh is there. At the time I bought the little Fushimi with the drink the cheapest one on sale had both Fushimi and Kuroh being sold as a set, so he’s here too.
Tumblr media
Speaking of standees, here’s a few more along with other lotto prizes. These were all from the specific Fan Clan lotteries, you had to be a member to draw. The big Fushimi picture and the water bottle were both grand prizes that I managed to win, so I got to choose my character for those (…don’t  ask how much I spent….). The Fushimi picture has hardware in the back that you can use to stand it up but it’s mostly hanging out hidden by my drawers because I don’t have space to display it right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few miscellaneous things. The Sarumi plate is official goods, the Akiben cup is a fan made product. The glass has Fushimi on one side and Munakata on the other though it’s hard to see, this was I believe also a lotto prize but I got it as a free gift from a shopping service. The pillows are also both official, the one on the left is the Kotobukiya dream cushion and yes I did buy the whole pillow just to use the Fushimi cover. The incredibly gay pillow featuring Fushimi touching himself while looking at a photo of Yata he’s pinned to his pillow is also, amazingly, 100% official merchandise.
Tumblr media
Jumping around to some more official stuff, these are all my physical media. Missing Kings is actually the Japanese release, which has subtitles but no dub. It released before the US version even had a release date on the books so I bought the Japanese version instead (I don’t dislike the dub but dubs are also not something that’s a dealbreaker for me). I also have three stage plays — fun fact, the US and Japan are in the same region for blu ray — these are not subtitled.
Tumblr media
Novels (and a couple CDs). From the top left, we have the All Memories book, Case Files vol 2, Lost Small World, Idol K, the little short story booklet that came with the pre-MK S4 drama CD (with the glasses drama on it), the three anime adaptation books, the aforementioned drama CD and the Idol K CD.
Tumblr media
Next, manga. The top left corner is the K Poe Backs book, which has a bunch of mini first person comics of the cast seducing ‘you’ the reader. The top right is the K Maniacs book which is an official doujinshi book, it has no pairings but a lot of older Sarumi doujinshi artists are involved and Fushimi and Yata definitely dominate the book. I have the special Animate of editions of Gakuen K volume 3 and Missing Kings, because I liked the covers. The LSW books are all the special editions as well, the little booklet on the bottom right came with the final volume. The booklet between the two volumes of Days of Blue also came with that second volume and has the special Cherry Blossom Viewing chapter. (Meanwhile I just realized I don’t have Return of Kings….I need to buy that, I like the art.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some more random goods. The purse, hat and watch are all from Super Groupies collabs. I have the Super Groupies S4 wallet as well but it felt weird to take a picture of my own wallet (incidentally, if anyone sees the Super Groupies S4 earrings let me know, I didn’t have my ears pierced when they came out so I didn’t buy them and I want them now). The necklace was for Fushimi’s birthday, there’s a couple Yata ones that were made as well and another Fushimi one that’s blue but this is the only one I bought, it has a tiny S4 logo. The two tins are official teas that were made, the Homra one is my favorite of the two and is a pretty red.
Tumblr media
Some more clothes. I skipped most of the Super Groupies collab clothes for sizing reasons but these all fit and again, all are official. The shirts are from a collab with the brand Avail, they did shirts based off Shiro, Kuroh, Mikoto, Yata, Munakata and Fushimi. I have the Yata, Munakata and Fushimi ones, the puzzle piece S4 logo that’s Munakata’s is my favorite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My wall o’ keychains. I actually have a lot of keychains on various purses so this is not all of them (I may have mentioned before that I’m also into lolita fashion so I have lots of purses, forgive me for not digging up all of them for keychain pics). The wall is missing a lot of Fushimi keychains though because they’re on my Fushimi ita bag.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ll probably redo this at some point (I don’t really like backpacks so this doesn’t get worn much) but here’s a lot of my Fushimis that aren’t on other purses. I also have some new Sarumi ones I just bought, these are for the Sarumi ita bag I have in progress. This covers most of my collection, I also have a lot of posters and some magazines that aren’t convenient to get pictures of. This doesn’t count my, uh, extensive doujinshi collection either, just know that the bottom shelf and a half of my bookshelves is 90% Fushimi-centric doujinshi. I may be ever so slightly obsessed.

I kinda like this as being post-ROK Everybody Lives where Hisui is a lovable scamp who just every so often tries to take over the world or whatever and Shiro has to go into jungle’s headquarters and scold him over it XD Like it’s not as if Hisui is still trying to be a bad guy and trying to make everyone Kings again — there’s no Slate anyway so he can’t, say in this AU the Slate used the last of its powers to keep Hisui alive — it’s just that he had a lot of Ideas on how to make the world better and he would like to attempt to make them a reality. And anyway the Silver King should appreciate this, shouldn’t he, after all when he discovered the Slate Shiro wanted to bring happiness to everyone. Sure sometimes this leads to large explosions or unfortunate mysterious fog that covers half the city and once Hisui may have been almost responsible for a tsunami but he had the best of intentions.
Munakata probably thinks that it would be best to imprison Hisui for the safety of everyone but Shiro’s begged him to have some leniency and let Shiro handle this. Munakata’s not pleased but he supposes that Shiro is the best person for this job, being closest to Hisui, and sighs as he says if Shiro could please be sure that no harm comes to the city (well, not like Munakata can talk about property damage, considering what happens every time he and Mikoto fight). Shiro laughs sheepishly and says he’ll handle it, and heads down into jungle’s not-so-secret base to tell Hisui to knock it off. Hisui is eager to show Shiro his new plan and Shiro reminds him that he promised not to destroy the city, Hisui is confused because he’s certainly not intending to destroy the city, it’s just a thing that could happen. Shiro says if it could happen maybe Hisui shouldn’t do it this time. Shiro does know that Hisui has the best of intentions and Hisui appreciates that, he decides very well if Shiro stays for dinner then he won’t attempt to make the city better by potentially destroying half of it.

post betrayal/pre s1 yata won a overseas vacation and leaves for a couple of weeks and fushimi looses his mind for a day cuz every single thing reminds him of yata
Fushimi walking by the house of someone who owns a chihuahua and it starts barking at him as Fushimi’s all ‘sometimes I can still hear his voice….’. Imagine Fushimi only even knows that Yata’s on vacation because like Anna or Totsuka decides to tell him, they figure Fushimi might be upset if he notices that Yata’s missing and decide they should make sure he doesn’t worry. Fushimi of course just clicks his tongue and is all ‘don’t care, don’t talk to me’, but really he has absolutely noticed that Misaki hasn’t been around lately. He was probably coincidentally walking by some of the places Yata’s been known to work, like not that he was actually looking for Misaki or anything, it just happened to be on his patrol and if he was looking inside well maybe there were some Strains or something around there. When Fushimi says he doesn’t care Totsuka just smiles and says well, I hope you don’t feel too lonely Fushimi. Fushimi clicks his tongue again, like what a stupid thing to say to the person who broke things off with Yata to begin with.
Except then as the days go by Fushimi is absolutely getting increasingly on edge and more snappish than usual, wondering how long Yata’s vacation is anyway and when will that idiot come back. Fushimi refuses to entertain such thoughts for long though, like why does he even need Misaki and anyway isn’t his work easier without anything to distract him. He goes out on patrol and hears a skateboard and immediately he’s turning with one hand in his coat going for a knife, only to realize that it’s just some random kid going by. Fushimi gets this disgusted look and mutters ‘stupid’ under his breath, like what is he even getting excited for. As he continues to patrol he happens to look up while passing a store and suddenly finds himself standing in the window staring at this black beanie set up for sale. He finds his hand reaching up to scratch his scar and quickly turns away, hands in his pockets and back hunched as he goes back to patrol.
Soon a couple weeks have passed and it’s not like Fushimi misses Yata or anything but every time he spots Doumyouji’s red hair out of the corner of his eye he does a double take. Whenever S4 runs into Homra he’s all tense and smiling for a moment before he realizes that Yata isn’t there and now he just doesn’t care at all, playing on his PDA and looking dissatisfied (and imagine Totsuka just waking over wondering how Fushimi is holding up while Fushimi’s blandly like I have no idea what you’re talking about). Seeing cars makes him think of the wheels of Yata’s skateboard, seeing vegetables makes him think about how stupid Misaki always tried to make him eat them, he’s started looking for pineapple flavored Caloriemate. Fushimi absolutely doesn’t care that Yata’s gone but also he almost threw a knife while passing a group of kids playing baseball. Some poor innocent mother named her daughter Misaki and feels a chill out of nowhere while calling the girl’s name in public near Tsubakimon. Fushimi is absolutely fine and he doesn’t feel any knot of tension easing the day Yata finally comes back (Yata has no idea why Saruhiko is more energetic than usual when they fight, good thing he had such a relaxing vacation).

Saruhiko gets a fat boyfriend so now he has a very comfortable pillow at night.
Today's theme is ‘Fushimi gets a good night’s sleep on top of other people’ XD Imagine Fushimi feeling so comfy though, he didn’t realize what a good pillow his boyfriend’s stomach is. I could see him being a little fussy about having a fat boyfriend at first, like Fushimi wants to steal all the covers before his boyfriend can, or getting huffy if there isn’t significant room on the couch. His boyfriend takes this in stride, presumably you don’t get up to dating Fushimi without knowing the kind of guy he is, and tries to make sure Fushimi has plenty of room at all times. I could  see his boyfriend enjoying being so much bigger than Fushimi though, like imagine Fushimi’s boyfriend just randomly picking Fushimi up whenever he feels like it or carrying him around their apartment, Fushimi’s so skinny he’s super easy to drag around.
Fushimi grumbles about being carried so much but he also secretly kinda likes it, there’s a feeling of being spoiled that he actually enjoys. And of course when Fushimi’s complaining about not having enough room in the bed what he actually means is that he wants to sleep on his boyfriend, who has a nice comfy stomach. It would probably be a little weird for Fushimi at first, who’s always been so adamant about sleeping alone, and initially I imagine him and his boyfriend sleeping in separate beds because the closeness is too much for Fushimi. But at the same time Fushimi can’t stop the urge to keep checking and making sure his boyfriend is still there, which is how it eventually happens that his boyfriend wakes up to find Fushimi fast asleep on his stomach. Naturally when seeing Fushimi so innocent and sleeping his boyfriend absolutely can’t move and so just watches him, all while Fushimi enjoys the softest pillow.

Fushimi likes to sleep/lay on his boyfriend's chest and listen to his heartbeat. Yata loves this position because he can kiss the top of Fushimi's head.
This being the only time Yata can reach to kiss the top of Fushimi’s head, of course >:D I imagine Fushimi being kind of clingy anyway, like he won’t admit that he wants to be close to Yata but I can totally imagine him just flopping on top of Yata without a word. Like Fushimi will get home from work and Yata’s laying on the couch or sitting on the bed and Fushimi just climbs right on him. Yata gives a small protest like geez Saruhiko it’s a good thing you’re not very heavy you know, I need to breathe here. Fushimi just grumbles that he’s cold and Yata smiles all right I better warm you up then. If Yata tries to move Fushimi will get all fussy so he has to resign himself to sitting there with his boyfriend resting on him, Yata figures well there are worse things than getting to be Fushimi’s pillow. Fushimi always falls asleep with his head on Yata’s chest too, like the sound of Yata’s heartbeat is soothing to him (he won’t say it, but Yata knows that Fushimi likes it because as long as he can hear Yata’s heartbeat he knows that Yata is there, that Yata won’t leave). When he starts to get drowsy Yata will tell him it’s okay to just sleep if he’s tired, Fushimi says he’s fine but of course he doesn’t move. Yata kisses the top of his head gently and Fushimi just relaxes on top of him and that’s the best part for Yata, seeing how Fushimi, who so rarely relaxes around anyone, just completely drops his guard for Yata.

What if someone attacked a member of HOMRA with the intention of carving off their mark? Providing someone can reach it?
Why did that ‘if they can reach it’ immediately make me think of someone trying to pin down Kamamoto so they can get at the mark on his butt XD I imagine the hardest part of this would be the actually properly catching a member of Homra and trying to get the mark off, especially since outside of Yata (who always shows his off) I’m not sure how well known it is where each member has their mark. To carve it off someone would have to basically pin down the member in such a way that they couldn’t fight back and that they would be docile enough for the attacker to strip them down and find the mark. I suppose this would be doable for a Strain or a big group of attackers against a single Homra person, and especially if someone managed to get the jump on Totsuka, but it certainly wouldn’t be easy.
As to if they could actually get the Homra mark off, there’s really nothing in canon to say whether that would be feasible or not. Fushimi got rid of his obviously but that was him doing it to his own mark, which is different than someone else trying to. I kinda like the idea of the mark being something that’s so connected to the Red King himself that if someone tried to carve it off against the owner’s will there would be like a sudden huge burst of fire to protect it, even if the owner is unconscious, simply because the Red power protects its own. On the other hand if it's just a symbol and has no extra protection I assume it would be possible to carve it off the same as any mark. Doing so would probably make whoever did it Homra’s public enemy number one though, I feel like this is a great way to get yourself no blood, no bone no ash-ed by the Red King himself.

Transfem Fushimi has a girlfriend and also wants to get in touch with feminine things like her. She teaches her how to use make up and style her hair, that's how Saruhiko learned to braid her own.
I imagine this as a post-ROK thing, not even thinking about Fushimi’s girlfriend as being a specific member of the cast but this is the point where Fushimi is in enough of a headspace to actually want to care about her appearance. Like prior to this I could see her presenting in a more androgynous way even though she identifies as female, she’s just not interested in trying to make herself look cute at all. I could see this being kind of a self loathing thing too, like somewhere in the back of her mind she still thinks that she’s not ‘really’ a girl, the way Niki would always taunt her and call her a boy, and part of her was unwilling to fully make herself seem feminine because she thought it wouldn’t look right on her, or that people would assume she was weak and a target.
But then post-ROK when she’s in a slightly better mental state imagine her with her girlfriend and idly wondering if makeup is as big of a pain as it looks. Fushimi’s never shown any interest in this kind of thing before but imagine her girlfriend is super excited about this, because let’s face it she’s probably been dying to give Fushimi a makeover (honestly I could see this even in a platonic scenario, like Fushimi says something to Awashima and now all the ladies of S4 have pounced and are going to make Fushimi pretty). Fushimi has no idea how to use makeup and honestly even her hair routine is fairly simple, it’s not like anyone ever taught her to do this, Kisa certainly wouldn’t have. The first day Fushimi shows up in the office with a bit of makeup and braided hair half the squad are falling over themselves to compliment her, Fushimi clicks her tongue and says it’s just some stupid makeup. I imagine she might not do makeup super often, just because I could see Fushimi finding it a pain to deal with every day, but she’ll do it for dates or special occasions. She does braid her hair a little more often though, because it’s easier to fight with her hair in a braid, and her girlfriend is probably pretty happy to see how cute Fushimi looks like this.

Did you ever go to that butterfly show? What if Munakata turned into a butterfly but Fushimi ended up as a moth? Wouldn't he also have some complex that he's not beautiful and of course he'd get stuck as an ugly bug? Munakata would still want to flutter and fly around with him though and show him how beautiful Fushimi really is.
Idid go to the butterfly show, it was really nice! I even got abutterfly to land on my hand for a bit. I also saw the perfectScepter4!butterfly but unfortunately it was really hard to get apicture because only the outside of their wings were blue so youcould only get a picture of the blue part when they were flying (Iposted a quick video of them on Twitter though). So imagine Fushimiand Munakata both get hit by the butterfly Strain – who is maybeeven an actual butterfly – and Munakata turns into fabulous bluebutterfly while poor Fushimi is a moth, one of those big ones thatlands on the outside of your bedroom window overnight and freaks youout when you see it there in the morning. Everyone is immediatelyconcerned because while Munakata is hovering daintily around a flowervase Fushimi keeps heading straight for the chandelier. Awashima hasto order an immediate shutdown of all the lights just in case, it’sthe only way to make sure Fushimi doesn’t go set himself on fire.Whether he’s trying to do it on purpose or it’s just the moth parttaking over no one knows but it’s best not to get too complacent justin case.
MeanwhileFushimi is a very gloomy moth, like he can see that here Munakata’sbecome a lovely butterfly and poor Fushimi is some gross bug again. It’s bad enough that he’s a bug at all, Fushimi can just feel thegerms all over his body and he’s disgusted by himself. Munakatadoesn’t want Fushimi to just sit and sulk on his desk though andkeeps trying to encourage him to come enjoy all the lovely flowers.Munakata does this by just fluttering around him in a circle andFushimi gets more and more annoyed, unable to express his irritationin any other way but flying off. Maybe though Munakata tries to showFushimi that he’s just as interesting a bug as Munakata is, likeFushimi’s moth wings have their own interesting pattern and they’reactually not that different from Munakata’s – while his wings areopen they’re sparkly and lovely but when he lands and closes them theother side of his wing are brown and dull, much like Fushimi’s look. When they sit side by side on the desk they don’t even look thatdifferent – in fact Fushimi’s a little cuter because he’s kindafuzzy and people would probably want to pet him if they could whereasMunakata’s body is more delicate and can’t be touched, Fushimi isactually the more cuddly and cute of the two. Fushimi is not exactlypleased at being called cute but on the other hand it is better thanbeing disgusting, though it doesn’t stop him from finding theunderside of a leaf to cling to in order to avoid everyone for therest of the day.

Title: somewhere between the surface and the sea bed
Fandom: K Project
External: AO3 / ff.net
Summary: Fushimi supposed that being marooned was bad enough, being marooned with an idiot pirate like Misaki was worse.
Notes: Sarumi Pirate AU. Because I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean a while back and it just occurred to me that this fandom needs more pirate AUs.

Building on the AU of Blue king mikoto with awashima & co as clansmen and Red king munakata with kusanagi and others as clansmen, what would season 1 have been like? Especially in terms of Totsuka still getting shot & the colourless king in adolfs body, what sort of path or roles do you see Munakata and Mikoto playing here?
I can definitely see things being different in this AU scenario. One of the big things that comes to mind is the likelihood that Munakata would be more stable as Red King than Mikoto is in canon, Munakata's personality just strikes me that he would be closer to Anna in terms of control than Mikoto was. So already now in Munakata's case he knows that losing Totsuka isn't necessarily something that's going to send him over the edge, like I think part of the reason Mikoto was so willing to go after Colorless in canon is he knows that without Totsuka it's just a matter of time before his Sword falls anyway so he might as well get revenge while he still can. In Munakata's case, while Totsuka's death is a blow it isn't the kind of thing that will destabilize his Sword so I think he would be more cautious in how he approaches apprehending Colorless. I think he would definitely still want to find Colorless and help Homra get their revenge, there's no question that this person who killed one of their own needs to be taken care of, but there are other methods of doing so beyond simply rushing in headlong to attack.
Actually what could be interesting is Munakata, being a devious kind of guy, decides to use Scepter 4 to hunt down Colorless instead, like Homra's still doing their own investigation like in canon but he's being deliberately destructive because Munakata knows that Scepter 4 will at some point be required to intervene. Mikoto's not thrilled about this and I think he'd be well aware of what Munakata's doing and he thinks it's a pain, that guy using whatever pawns he can and not caring what else happens. Mikoto makes it clear that he's not going to get caught up in whatever frilly little game Munakata's playing and Munakata just grins and lights up a flame in his hands as he says Mikoto will have no choice, as Blue King he's forced into the role of Scepter 4's leader and he has to keep the peace. Mikoto figures he can keep the peace just fine by kicking Munakata's ass and Munakata is pretty much waiting for that, he wants to be taken into custody so that his people can move more freely and he can gather intel from inside Scepter 4.
What would be interesting is then imagine here Munakata has all these plans but what he doesn't realize is that Totsuka's death has destabilized his Sword, Scepter 4 having access to machines that can record a person's Weismann level they can see that the Red King is losing his control and this makes Awashima and Fushimi in particular pretty concerned. Mikoto just sighs and says that guy's always a headache, and then goes straight down to the cells to let Munakata know what kind of a dangerous game he's playing. Munakata is surprised to hear that but he doesn't intend to stop either and they're basically on different sides of the same conflict as in canon. In this scenario though I wonder which one would end up killing Colorless, like imagine them still fighting at the school island when Shiro appears with Colorless trapped in his body, Munakata prepares to slay him and then Mikoto just steps in the way and does it instead. Which now puts them in this interesting position when MK and ROK come about, because Mikoto's Sword is now crumbling and Munakata is greatly displeased that he owes the Blue King a favor (Mikoto isn't too thrilled about it either).

ok hear me out -- Fushimi giving Munakata a flower crown .
Moving this one up in the line a little because I wanted to write some Reisaru for Munakata’s birthday and this seemed like a good prompt for it :)

So uh, how about Scepter 4 red light district AU (because I can't resist Prostitute!Fushimi).
Munakata would run like the most well-oiled machine of a brothelever, he’s not letting this place just be a seedy den of sin it isgoing to be a very efficient and high-end den of sin thank you verymuch. Fushimi would be somewhat of a specialized taste as far ascustomers are concerned, everyone’s attracted to his face but hisattitude can put people off. Maybe at first especially some customersgot pissed at Fushimi for being short with them or talking back, likeone guy even attempted to slap him and discovered that Fushimi has anice knife holster under his clothes and he knows how to use it.Anyone who dares complain to Munakata about how he needs todiscipline his whores better is informed that if they do not know theproper way to deal with one of his employees then perhaps thatcustomer’s money is better spent elsewhere, as they clearly are notneeded or wanted at this establishment. Fushimi’s a bit amazed thatMunakata gives him so much freedom, considering this is businesswe’re talking about, but Munakata always just smiles and notes thathe is well aware of the way Fushimi is and he hired Fushimi with thisawareness in mind, so why would he expect Fushimi to change simplybecause some customers are unable to deal with a prostitute whorefuses to fake affection towards them.
I imagine in this AU Fushimi probably has less touch issues, sincehe’d be letting customers put their hands all over him, though at thebeginning especially he probably doesn’t put a lot of value on hisbody anyway. Maybe Munakata lures him away from Homra, which is likea seedy gambling den that hires guys out for protection purposes andof course Fushimi doesn’t fit in there because he’s this skinny palenerd and who would expect that he could handle himself or protectanyone from anything (maybe he’s even had a couple customers in thepast assume he’s like Homra’s whore and Fushimi got scolded forpulling knives on them in response). Munakata is of course entrancedby Fushimi’s looks and all his potential, he feels that with theright training Fushimi could be incredibly popular despite hisless-than-ideal attitude. That he finds Fushimi quite visuallyappealing is, of course, also a plus.
He doesn’t allow Fushimi to work as an actual entertainer in thebrothel for a while though initially, as he observes Fushimi’sbehavior with customers and doesn’t like what he sees – maybeFushimi does get to take a few customers to start with and Munakatawatches how Fushimi deals with them before taking them up to aprivate room and then how he acts afterward bringing them back down.Munakata can tell that Fushimi’s not really placing any value on hisbody whatsoever, like he sees sex as not even a business transactionbut like something he has to endure and not even be ‘present’ for andeven lets people bruise him a little as long as he gets paid in theend. Munakata doesn’t care for that as he wants Fushimi to enjoyhis work. Maybe a little Reisaru situation where Munakata gets toplay teacher and shows Fushimi all these tricks on how to makesomeone come undone without even touching them and how to really feelhis encounters, to be more than just an empty body and to instead bethe one in charge making the customers bow to his pleasure andto enjoy letting him do it. Naturally this requires properdemonstration, Fushimi finds he unexpectedly likes that too.Fushimi’s also a quick study and soon he’s pretty much the mostasked-for prostitute in the brothel, like people pay to have him sitthere teasing them for ages before even allowing them to lay a handon him because he’s just so good at it.
