After her post, the Internet was like the volcano that flooded Pompei with lava: Smoking hot. Everyone was talking about the guy in the picture and how intimate they looked. Of course, everyone thought about Callum, and they were right, but they didn’t know it. So, when Y/n, Austin, Anthony and Callum went on the Graham Norton show, they were expecting questions about it.
-
‘’So, Y/n obviously you got a lot of attention this week, because of this’’ Her post appears on the screen. Anthony starts to chuckle. ‘’I know, my back looks great’’ she says, avoiding the question. ‘’You look amazing, but the real question is: Who is the gentleman in the two pictures?’’ Two red arrows pointing at the men in the pictures appears on the screen. ‘’I can’t see him, maybe point it to me’’ she says, sarcastically of course. The publics starts to laugh. ‘’I mean there’s a gentleman in my life, I won’t say who, but yeah. Thought I’d tease the internet a little’’ she says, crossing her legs. ‘’Boys do you know who he is?’’ Graham asked the 3 men. ‘’Yeah, I met him, he’s really nice’’ Anthony says. ‘’He’s amazing, he takes care of my best friend, and that’s all that counts’’ Callum says. Y/n has to bite the inside of her cheek to prevent her from laughing. Hearing Callum talk about himself at the 3rd person almost makes her laugh and blow away the surprise. ‘’Like they said, he’s a really nice guy. Really fun too, we had some great conversations with him. Awesome guy’’ Austin adds. ‘’But what about Callum?’’ Graham asks. ‘’What about him?’’ Y/n asks. ‘’W-w-well you guys. T-t-the internet ships you together!’’ he stutters. Y/n direct answer took him by surprise. ‘’We also have a video of Callum and a mystery lady, let’s take a look’’ What video? Shit?! It showed a video of Callum making out with Y/n, but we couldn’t see her face, it was badly filmed because the only action we could see was between the crack of the door. Y/n tried not to react, and she was hoping that Callum would improvise something. ‘’Graham, I’m sorry, but we’re here to promote our show, Master of the Air, not trying to get to the bottom of the rumors of who’s Y/n dating and Callum’s privacy being invaded’’ Austin said, as calmly as possible. ‘’Austin’s right, plus we have great things to talk about other than Y/n’s dating life.’’ Anthony added the woman smiled to the blonde, who just saved their life. ‘’You’re right, I’m sorry, so Anthony…’’ Graham didn’t talk about relationships that night. When the interview was over and they got backstage, Y/n hugged Austin. ‘’Thank you so freaking much’’ she said. ‘’Thank you, Austin, I really appreciate it’’ Callum said. ‘’Don’t worry we got you’’ Anthony said.
-
After Austin and Anthony’s intervention, the people calmed down on the question, but the internet could still see their chemistry. Callum and Y/n still liked to tease the internet, but they calmed down too. Until the premier in the U.S.A, they kissed at the final premiere, in London. The one in the United-States was the before last premiere they all did. Y/n came on the carpet with a very reviling designer piece that the fans started to speculate.
Tumblr media
-
She didn’t want to come on the carpet dressed like this, but the designer put a lot of effort into the piece, so she wore it. But she already had a team ready inside the movie theater to change her outfit. When she stepped out the car, she felt very vulnerable, she arrived alone this time, she was already gonna get attention for her outfit, she didn’t more publicity. She walked on the red carpet, until she reached her co-stars. ‘’Y/n here! Show us your tits!’’ a male fan yelled, making her very uncomfortable. Callum, who had seen the scene, felt really bad for his girlfriend. He wanted to help her, but if he gave her his jacket, the rumors would just be unbearable, they like to tease the internet, but not like that. ‘’Austin, can you go give your jacket to Y/n, she’s really uncomfortable’’ he whispered. He nodded than went forward, to give Y/n his jacket. ‘’With your boyfriends’ compliments’’ he said, not wanting to be suspicious. She put the jacket on and continued her way on the carpet. They finally did a group photo, after they could go inside, and Y/n could change. ‘’Come on Y/n, you’re not afraid to be shirtless on Instagram! We want to see the tits!’’ another male fan yelled. The guys were all in shook of what they just heard. But Y/n took all the confidence she had left and stepped forward. ‘’Maybe ask politely’’ she gave the men a fake smile before showing him her middle finger. The flash of the camera doubled; she was certainly going to get attention now. But what she didn’t realise was that the hole cast was flipping the guy off. Callum was the first to follow is girlfriend in giving the middle finger, the rest just followed.
-
Surprisingly, it wasn’t her outfit that made the front page, it was the picture of the cast giving the finger to the sexist fan. They didn’t talk about the fact that it was disrespectful, they talked about the fact that men were supporting woman and how it should always be like this. The cast of Master of the Air were now icons in the feminist movement. All thanks to Callum…

Grounded (Thunk!) - Chapter 2 - Bradley Bradshaw x f! Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: You guuuuuys, thank you so much for waiting and for continuing to support the first part of this fanfic. I had a bunch of things to do this past week but I was itching to write this and get it posted! If I made a tag-list would anybody be interested? I’d like to make a formal one if I get anough people to ask. As always, I hope you enjoy!
Blurb: Drinks with Rooster as an apology for throwing a football at your head.
Word Count: 3.4k
Fluff, Eventual Smut (Wink)
Warnings: None (That I know of!)
Read: Part 1
Tumblr media
“You’re going to have to go at some point, you know that don’t you?”
With a whine that vaguely translates into something like “Do I have to?”, you flop back onto the cushiony mattress of your bed. Flat on your back, you lift a velvety pillow and simply cover your face with it.
Hey, if knocking your head against a table didn’t work, maybe slow suffocation will.
The idea doesn’t last long.
Before you know it, the comforting darkness is pulled away from you and you’re forced back into reality. Amelia stands over you with her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.
The way she was so similar to her mother was almost terrifying.
“This is ridiculous.” She points out. “It’s not even a date, he’s just buying you drinks as a sorry.”
You blow a raspberry in her direction and she rolls her eyes. She uncrosses her arms and extends a hand, offering it for you to hold. With a huff, knowing you can never deny her of anything, you take it and she pulls you up. Tries to anyway.
“I just can’t talk to him properly.” You explained. “Seriously Amelia, it’s kind of sad the amount of times I stuttered when he talked to me earlier.”
Pulling you all the way up from the bed to have you finally standing, Amelia shows no remorse on her face. “Well isn’t it great that you don’t have to talk to him then?” She didn’t even wait for a reply before starting her tangent. “C’mon, you have this nice sundress on, you’re glowing from the sun, and freshly freaking showered.” Picking up your shoulder bag from the carpeted floor, she shoves it into your hands. “Can you at least try to enjoy yourself for once? Not put how pretty you are to waste?”
You stare at her for a few moments, and she only responds with raising her other eyebrow. This goes on for a while until you finally sigh. You shake your head and sling your bag over your shoulder. “Yeah alright, maybe I could go out for a drink. Or two.”
Amelia’s face breaks out into a wide smile. “Great, because I was running out of time convincing you.” She confessed. “I have to be at a friend’s place in like, ten.”
She eagerly pushes you out the door and slams it in your face. Before you even move an inch away, she shouts, “Oh! While you’re there, you can convince Pete to make a move on my mom already!” You’re almost certain she shudders from the other side. “The flirting is getting ridiculous.”
When you’re certain she has nothing else to say, you slowly make your way down the stairs.
Talk to Bradshaw and Mitchell in one night?
Yeah, maybe when chickens start flying.

Walking yourself over to the bar hadn’t been as much of a drag as you were expecting. The sun had almost set when you started your journey and being outside no longer felt like the heat had a personal vendetta against you. It was only really a fifteen-minute walk which was perfect because any longer and you probably would’ve started wheezing.
When you get to your destination, the sky was already painted in all sorts of pastel shades. The air was cooling, and the bar, like it always was, was packed.
You were hit with a sea of people. It was interesting for you to see the multitude of uniforms, the different interactions that took place. Despite not liking a big crowd, or rather, not being used to them, coming to Penny’s bar always gave you a sense of warmth. Almost like a big, encompassing hug. Maybe it’s because there’s hardly any trouble due to Penny’s make-shift rule. Maybe it was because of the ringing sounds of laughter heard day in and day out. You can’t really pinpoint why you liked this place so much, but you never really ventured to find out. It just made you feel accepted, and for you, that was good enough.
Making your way through the crowd, you sit on a bar stool and see your aunt on the other side, no doubt flirting away with the Captain that’s making googly-eyes at her. Mitchell is the first to notice you, raising his hand in your direction. You repeat the gesture with an awkward smile.
You watch the two of them for a few more moments and” Amelia is absolutely right. Seeing them dance around each other is almost too painful. Penny tilts her head slowly and turns away from Mitchell with dare you say, a sway to her hips. When she walks to your side of the bar, you meet her coy gaze with a flat look.
“What?” She replied. “It’s no good if you don’t make men work for it first.”
You would agree if you actually believed anybody was interested in you in the first place.
Suddenly, the bell at the door rings indicating someone’s arrival.
“Speaking of men working for it,” your aunt trails off. You’re about ask her what she’s talking about before a booming voice interrupts you.
A gruff man across the room shouts at the newcomer. “You gonna give me a rematch on that pool game or what?!”
An all too familiar voice responds back. “Maybe later.” He suggests. “My damn arms are killing me.”
The man across the room shakes his head with a look of good-nature. “Alright, bring on the excuses.” He teases and continues to immerse himself in the current ongoing game of billiards.
Sure enough, when you swivel your head around, you see Bradshaw in all his tall, sun-kissed, light-haired glory. He’s wearing one of those ridiculous Hawaiian shirts that he somehow pulls-off and tight, tight jeans that are doing wonders for his thighs.
He scans around the space, obviously looking for a familiar face. After a few seconds his eyes land on yours and it makes you genuinely think your heart skipped a beat. He starts making his way to you and something about it is so dangerously dipped in natural bravado. The way he carries himself shows you all that you need to know. Lieutenant Bradshaw doesn’t need to talk about how cool he is because even at a glance, anybody would know he has a charm to him. It’s kind of mesmerizing really.
Stopping in front of you, he gestures at the seat beside you. “May I?”
More alarm bells, holy shit, more fucking alarm bells.
This wasn’t part of the plan. You were supposed to sit here, people watch, and have one, maybe two bottles of beer. The plan was certainly not to talk to a man you’d been thirsting over since the moment your eyes landed on him.
Your eye-candy tilts his head. “Hey, you okay?”
Shaking your head vigorously, you motion to the spot beside you. “Oh yeah, no, sorry-“  you stop yourself and a small chuckle leaves you in noticing how frazzled you sound. “Please, go ahead.”
A small smile of amusement lights his face and it makes your chest feel all warm. He sits beside you and calls Penny over. You suppose you were too busy looking at him to register anything else because before you know it, your aunt places two ice-cold beer bottles on the bar top and says enjoy before returning back to Mitchell.
You’re left alone and you have no idea what to say. Luckily, Bradley does.
Taking a sip of his beer, he apologizes again. “I really didn’t mean to hit you. I guess we all just got a bit too excited.”
Shrugging your shoulders, you dismiss his worry. “No worries, seriously” you take a sip from your own bottle. “Now that you’re paying for my alcohol, we’re definitely even. Besides,” You replay the scene on the beach from this afternoon in your head. “It was nice to see you all finally get along.”
“That noticeable huh?”
“More than the sky being blue.”
He does a singular nod in reply and you both fall silent for a while. It should be awkward, but somehow it’s not. His presence was welcoming. Hard to approach, but comforting you think.
The pilot focuses the conversation on you. “You new around here?”
You survey the patrons of the bar instead of looking at him. “Sure am.” You answer.
“Had a feeling.”
He keeps his eyes trained on you. You try to feign ignorance by continuing to stare straight ahead, but it’s not enough. Heat starts to crawl up your neck.
God, this man hasn’t even done anything worth the abysmal reaction your body has to him.
No. Bad.
You push the absurd thoughts from your brain and stomp them out with a fire. You weren’t getting tangled into anything. You’d be gone in a couple of weeks and that was more than enough reason to stay still. Imagine how awkward it would be to see him again after any sort of entanglement. You already embarrass yourself in front of him and you’ve talked to him a grand total of two times.
Yeah, not your vibe.
A light chuckle escapes your throat. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Were you really that much of a fish out of water?
“Nothing bad,” he reassures “would just remember a pretty face I saw is all.”
The heat crawling up your neck explodes to the rest of your body.
You swiftly turn your head to his direction and was met with a shit-eating grin that almost made your panties drop on site.
Wait a damn second.
Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw was fucking flirting with you and that made all logic and sense go out the window.
Maybe Penny and Amelia were right, maybe you could use a little bit of fun. What was the harm in a little bit of flirting? It wouldn’t go anywhere; you’d just have a bit of banter. Tomorrow, he’ll continue ignoring you again and this whole night will be a stupid memory you get to keep.
So why the hell not?
“You hit all the pretty girls you see with a football, Lieutenant?” The statement was irrationally egotistical and bold.
When he doesn’t immediately reply, you start to panic. Shit, you think. Maybe that wasn’t the right call. Once it slips your mouth, immediate regret washes over you. This is why you aren’t your own hype-man.
Was this supposed to be fun? Did you think it was going to be fu-
“Maybe I do.”
Woah.
“So you lied to me?” You pressed.
“And here I am having a drink with you.”
Silence.
You don’t know whether to be angry or flattered so you decide to be both.
The conversation continues after a small pause from his confession. “Couldn’t just ask me like a gentleman?”
“Do you like gentlemen?”
You scoff. “I like men who tell me what they want.”
You have no idea when the both of you had gotten so close. Not close enough to count every eyelash, but you’re close enough to notice the reflection of the bar’s lights in his eyes. Molten chocolate drizzled with caramel you think.
Bradshaw puts his full weight onto his forearm as he leans over. “Then If I tell you I want to know why you’re so hot and bothered despite not being under the sun, would you tell me?”
“If you did, I’d tell you it was because somebody told me they hit me with a football on purpose.”
His shit-eating grin doesn’t drop. If anything, it gets wider.
The whole back and forth solidifies the fact that Rooster is still very much a cocky fighter pilot. Even if he was one of the humbler ones on the spectrum, doesn’t mean he still isn’t on the cocky spectrum all things considered.
You’d be lying to yourself if you said it wasn’t the tiniest bit appealing.
Amped up on self-confidence, you continue to stare straight into his eyes. Even more silence ensues but it’s different than before. Indescribable, only palpable.
He opens his mouth but before he can get anything out, the same gruff man from earlier calls out to him. “Bradshaw, get your ass over here and give me a rematch.”
Just like that, whatever little spell you were under immediately breaks and you lean back into your chair. You take your bottom lip in with your teeth and glance at the man with the booming voice. “Looks like duty calls, Lieutenant.”
All Bradshaw replies with is a grunt of agreement. If leaving your conversation is affecting him in any way, he does a damn good job of not showing it other than a clenched jaw you would have missed if you weren’t so keen on observing him. Picking up his beer bottle, he then calls out to Penny. “Whatever she gets, put it on my tab.” Penny doesn’t turn away from Mitchell but raises a thumb into the air. The pilot gives you one last lingering look before he strolls away to the pool table.
You can see what Penny finds so appealing about the whole banter thing. If anything, she probably enjoys it even more because she’s miles better at it.
This you think, is definitely going to be at the forefront of your memories for a very, very long time.
-          - -  - - - - - - -
It isn’t long before the hours bleed into the early morning. It had finally slowed as the people exhausted themselves, drunk on the alcohol and atmosphere the Hard Deck delivers. Slowly, in groups, the patrons exit the bar until only a few are left. Glancing around the room, you inadvertently match gazes with Bradshaw once more.
This time, you aren’t the first one to look away.
For a moment, a fleeting second, you think that maybe he’d make his way towards you once more. He moves an inch and almost immediately stops. Suddenly, his focus changes. You follow the trail of his stare and it lands on Pete Mitchell coming your direction.
Re-focusing your gaze, to the blatant flirting that was happening right in front of your face, you shake your head. “You kids have fun, I can close up shop.” You inform your aunt and her pilot before they can tell you any differently. Penny is about to refuse, but you hold up a flat palm. “I’m serious, I don’t mind.”
If he had plans to talk to you again, it certainly wasn’t happening anymore. He snaps his attention back to the other aviators around him. You’ve seen them around. Bob and Phoenix were their call names if you remember it correctly.
Not sparing another glance your way, he follows them out the door.
Penny turns to Pete, and he only shrugs with an impressed smirk.
Before you know it, you’re completely alone in the bar. Cleaning up is fairly light, Penny did the most of it when things started to slow down. You wipe down the bar counter and pick up a few beer bottles and glass mugs. The whole thing takes you a little under half-an-hour to finish.
As you spot polish a few extra glasses, you notice a missed bottle on top of the piano. You make your way over to it with the sole intention of picking the bottle up but once you do, you lightly set it back down. Instead, you sit on the piano bench and start fiddling with the keys in front of you.
Why do you build me up, buttercup baby. Just to let me down?
The chords come back to you in a haze. It’s been a while since you’ve played something and you surprise yourself in the fluidity of your hands. Fond memories of your mother listening in behind you replayed in your mind as your fingers danced. You can’t say you adored the piano. There was never really a reason to want to learn it until University, but in time, when all the hard work and hours of late night practicing were finally starting to pay off, you grew attached to it. It was something that you were proud to play because prior to that, you didn’t even know what a treble clef was.
“That’s sounding good.”
You nearly fall off the bench from how hard you jump, a yelp escaping your throat. After the initial scare, you turn your body swiftly to learn the identity of your intruder.
This has to be a fucking joke.
“Bradshaw?!” You nearly scream, “Jesus, you scared me! What the hell are you doing back here?”
He lifts a crumpled button-up Hawaiian shirt in his hands. “Forgot this. Came back to see if the bar was still open so I could get it.”
You shake your head in disbelief. “Don’t you have like, four-hundred of those things?”
He doesn’t answer your question with an answer, but he does answer it with another question. “Where did you learn how to play?” He switches the topic on you.
With a deep sigh, you turn your body back to the piano. “It was my minor.” You explained. “I didn’t start picking it up until maybe around three years ago.”
He steps closer beside you, and you feel the heat radiating off his skin despite the cooler temperature outdoors. “It sounds good, but what if you try this.” He plays a new chord and you can’t make out how well it would actually sound. “Just humour me.”
You don’t know who makes the first indication that you both should play together it just kind of happens naturally. You scootch to make more room for him on the bench and he sits down beside you, letting you get a whiff of the scent that surrounds him.
He smells like summer. All sun, and sweat, and expensive cologne.
You start playing the beginning of the song again, but you let him handle the chords. He presses down on the same keys he did earlier and damn he was right, it did sound better. The both of you continue to play your separate parts and as the lyrics of the song start, you hear his warm voice start to sing.
“Why do you build me up, buttercup baby. Just to let me down?”
He sings loudly, care-free, like he doesn’t have a care in the world.
Amusement passes through you and if you had the chance to look at yourself in the mirror right this second, you know that you would have a smile as wide as the ocean. He’s so into singing, so lost in the melody that it’s hard not to join in.
So you do.
You start to sing at the top of your lungs and in the brief glances you make in between, you see Bradshaw with a smile that probably mirrors your own. Seeing him like that, with you, makes the thump in your chest double.
“I need you!”
“I need you!” He sings the adlib.
God, you both probably look drunk off your assess right now because you certainly feel like you are. You feel loopy, and sweaty, and that feeling in your chest certainly feels like indigestion.
“So build me, buttercup. Don’t break my heart.” You end the chorus portion of the song strong while looking at each other.
When you both finish, his eyes are scanning your face and you do the same.
This time, you’re close enough to count every eyelash. Hell, you could probably count every single hair on that moustache of his.
Your breathing starts to deepen and so does his.
His gaze lands on your lips and by now, you can hear the thrum of your heart in your ears.
You expect him to kiss you. You want him to kiss you.
But he clenches his jaw and moves back.
He may have distanced himself from you, but the intense gaze doesn’t leave the glint of his eyes. Like there’s a battle going on in them, in him.
“Can I drop you off?” He offers.
Swallowing thickly, you don’t know how you manage to find words, but you do. “Yeah- um, sure. If you don’t mind.”
“Wouldn’t be asking you if I did.”
He slowly lifts himself up from the piano bench and heads for the door. You’re still sitting and reeling as you keep your eyes locked on him. He turns and notices you still immobile. Bradshaw cocks his head.
“C’mon buttercup, it’s late, don’t keep me waiting.”
That’s when your heart flatlines instead.

hi i have a request for headcanons :] how would the sextuplets react to an s/o who is objectively a functional member of society (job and/or school, booming social life, well liked, etc) but for some reason simps really hard for them. it can by goofy or not, depends on what you think!
osomatsu san/reader | reader who is a functional member of society who is head over heels for the brothers
Tumblr media
A functional member of society in love with a NEET? Oh, what a thought! All of them equally are just as infatuated with you, maybe even more so as you are just shining with confidence and wit. So imagine their surprise when you finally ask them to be your boyfriend! They all react differently so let’s see up close and personal.
Osomatsu: - How are you with him, seriously? Everyone wants to know. - A shitty NEET with such bad habits like gambling and drinking and you looked in his direction? He’s just as shocked as everyone else to be honest. - Although, he’s not complaining one bit.  - Proudly parades you around in front of his brothers, like damn he might as well have won the lottery. - Oh, they are so jealous by the way. - At first, he doesn’t really change besides that but a little bit into your relationship, he starts making small changes and working up to the big ones.  - At first, it’s picking up after himself and doing more chores around the house, then it’s actually looking for jobs and talking about moving out one day. - Soon enough, he ends up doing just that and moves in with you, even holding a job and stops complaining about it all the time. - He’s trying, for you, and that is a lot coming from him.
Karamatsu:  - Oh, be prepared anon.  - This man will make it known that he is just as much in love with you back.  - Things like surprise flowers and gifts show up at your work’s front desk, only the best for his Karamatrsu darling! - “Oh my darling flower, it makes my heart palpitate just to know how much you adore me!”  - Of course, you are eating up every cheesy line and equally spoiling him despite his surprise when you do so, despite still living with his mother he’s not used to being spoiled like this. - Like you swear you saw tears when you gave him a gift on your first date, and it was something so simple too. A guitar pick with yours and his initials on it. He swears to use it all the time, and he does, especially when he serenades to you. He even started to freak out when the image on it started to fade.  - At first, he refuses to let you pay for things even though you have a job and he doesn’t. After a few high-priced dates, he finally lets you help with the costs and even slightly enjoys being spoiled by you. - To still help out and spoil you, he even starts working at a nearby clothing store. - Your love is so annoying to everyone around you but the both of you don’t care, not one bit.
Choromatsu: - To his non-existent calculations, you two should NOT be a thing, but he doesn’t care at this point. - He’s also kinda jealous of you? Like you’re everything he wants to be but he quickly gets over that once you ask him out.  - At the beginning of your relationship, he is constantly stuttering and sweating from his nerves but he’s over the moon about finally dating you, he always has his signature smile on his face.  - When you start holding hands, you can physically feel his whole body shake just from your palm against his.  - Of course, you are no better as you are in LOVE with this man. - You’re both a couple who are head over heels for one another and very much show it instead of saying it. - It took you guys weeks just to say ‘I love you’ which ended in you running away with your hands covering your face and Choromastu shouting to the night sky of how he was in love.  - He also starts to become a functional member of society (with your help and motivation). - Soon enough, he’s living with you and has a job of his own, and surprisingly to him he couldn’t be happier getting out of the NEET lifestyle he was in for so long.
Ichimatsu:  - He can barely believe it himself, how could someone like you be in love with him? - You were a knockout, a functional member of society and he was just a shitty NEET, a nobody who no one wants. You must be fucking around with him.   - And he really thinks that at first, it takes a bit of persuasion for him to believe you are actually infatuated with him.  - On your first date, he would sit tables away from you as you drank a milkshake. His face turned bright red as he tried to sip from four tables away with a long straw. - You would simply smile at him, telling him it’s ok to get closer and that you were truly interested in dating him. - Soon enough, you two were doing regular couple stuff like holding hands and regularly going on dates.  - As you both get further into the relationship you notice he starts to really change things, Ichimatsu even gets a job at a local cat cafe. - Soon enough, he’s living with you and holding down a job he actually enjoys (although interacting with people still irks him).  - Although, when you first asked him to spend the night at your house, he spontaneously combusted right on the bench.
Jyushimatsu:  - Oh ho ho! This man is ecstatic! - His brothers swear that he’s been faster with his batting swing when you both start dating. - It’s like he has a new form of motivation when practicing baseball, running faster, swinging harder and throwing farther all at the same time. - He also seems happier than usual (somehow) , his smile widening whenever he sees you and your wonderful face.  - Will point you out to his brothers whenever he sees you, like he’s bragging or something. “Ha ha look, it’s my partner! Do you see them, huh? Huh?”  - He also starts working as well, hoping to start working as a baseball player in the future. - With your help, he eventually works up to that point and starts playing in local leagues!
Todomatsu:  - Oh he’s the most smug out of all of them. - Of course, he has no idea why you looked in his direction but he’s so glad you did.  - When you told him you were in love with him, he dropped his coffee you two had gotten minutes prior. Of course, he spilled it all over you and profusely apologized about it while helping to clean you up. - Luckily, it was iced so it didn’t burn or anything so you simply just smiled and told him he was fine and it was ok.  - Totally rubs it in his brother's faces, just like Oso and Jyushi but he’s more of a bitch about it.  - “Oh would you look at that, I have a partner now who’s actually interested in me. Score one for the youngest!” - He actually got a scoreboard for it too, the bastard. - He eventually goes back to Sutabaa, working the same position he did before. - He’s officially out of NEET status when he moves in with you and he’s so happy about it as he went up a level as a human once more!

She groans again, still running down the street of her boyfriend’s apartment block, stopping momentarily when she gets to the steps to try and catch her breath, then she’s running to the lift.
She hits her fist on the door until someone opens up, “Where’s Caleb?”
“Good afternoon.”
“Where is he, Mitchell? Don't mess around with me.”
“Um, him and James went down to the studio, I think, no- they’ve gone to run some errands, like groceries and stuff.”
“How long?”
“Not sure-”
“How long will they be?”
He shrugs a little watching her anxiously tap her foot on the floor and check the time. Fifteen minutes, she curses herself for wasting time by stopping by her place to pick Button up, but she didn't want the dog to be alone all day.
Button goes to walk into the flat but Mitchell steps in the way, “You can wait, but, he’ll have to stay out there.”
“She’s coming back with me, just- tell him to call me, he’s not picking up, I really need to talk to him right now.”
Mitchell chuckles a little, “What are you gonna do, break up with him or something?”
Yes.
“Just-” She sighs, “Tell him to call me, please.”
He nods brows raising in annoyance as he closes the door behind her.
She sighs looking down at Button, “Ready to run like your life depends on it?”
They get to the studio a few minutes after Matty’s set to arrive, she waits for the lift to their floor and when it takes over twenty seconds to arrive she’s legging it up the stairwell, passing Ross on the way who confusedly yells after her.
Button, decides to hang back, keeping Ross company, “What’s wrong with your mother today?”
Tommie, once again, falls through the open door.
“Ah, there you are, Tom, come here, quick, quick-”
“Matty, I need to talk to you, please-”
“Wait, just let me say something first please, it’ll be quick.”
He grabs her hand and smiles at her as he drags her further into the studio, “Matty, I know what you’re gonna say-”
“You do? Did George tell you? I’m gonna kill him.”
“Yeah, yeah. Well, kind of, look, I just went to see-”
“Oh, is this her?”
A woman with bright blue hair stands quickly, putting a smile on her face as she plays with her flannel shirt nervously.
Tommie pauses, eyes glancing to Adam who’s sat on the edge of the arm chair George resides in.
“This is my girlfriend, Ashley.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Tommie. I just want to say you have a great voice, George just played the new song for us.”
“Oh, did he?” She sends a small glare the drummer's way but he only twirls his long hair and avoids eye contact. “It’s nice to meet you too.”
Just then her phone starts buzzing, the familiar tune of The Bad Thing by Arctic Monkeys fills the space and she takes it out of her pocket.
“Oh, sorry, I better take this.”
Matty nods, letting go of her hand so she can step outside.
“Hey, babe, just got in, sorry I left my phone at home, everything okay?”
She glances back at the closed door, “Yes. Yeah, everything’s fine, sorry if I panicked you, I uh… it’s stupid.”
She hopes he’ll drop it, but the stalling gives enough time to think of a true excuse, so when he asks what it is, and reassures her he won't think it's stupid, she gives her a lie.
“I lost my book. My leather one, couldn't find it anywhere, freaked out, thought maybe I left it at your place. It was just in the studio, George picked it up for me.”
“Okay, that’s good. Is that it?”
She sucks a deep stuttering breath in and looks to the door again, “We’ve been together over a year.”
“Yeah?”
“Move in with me?”

George’s eyes meet Tommie’s across the table and he gags causing her to snort.
The water she had been drinking lodges itself in her throat and she turns red as she coughs, fist curled and hitting her chest.
Ross’ brow raises as he starts tapping her back. But when the victim of their laughter reaches across the table, hand touching hers gently and questions ‘are you okay?’ George has to bite his lip not to laugh.
“I’m fine, thank you, sorry,” She clears her throat, “Went down the wrong way. You were saying.”
Ashley, or Halsey as she was known in her music career, carries on explaining her ‘totally crazy experience at Coachella’ as Matty sits with an arm around her shoulder.
“So…” Adam says, making the situation a whole lot more awkward from the uncomfortable pause he leaves between his words, “Where are you from?”
“New Jersey.”
“Cool, cool. What's it like there, nice?”
She nods, “It's pretty good.”
Tommie glances over at George again and he’s still pulling faces so she looks away and shifts a little in her seat. Until Ahsely’s telling another childhood story about something to do with a washing machine and she’s tapping Ross’ thigh to get him to move.
“I’m gonna go for a smoke.”
“Me too.” George agrees quickly.
“Gasping.” Ross adds as he stands after them.
Adam, who has been trying to quit for the last couple weeks, also stands, “Yeah, I’ll grab us all some drinks on the way back in then, yeah?”
Matty waves them all off, his eyes glued to Ashley as she turns to him to continue her story.
When they get outside they all glance over to the window booth they’re sitting in, “Please tell me Claeb and I aren’t like that?”
“Not even Adam and Carly are like that.”
“Hey.”
George’s nose curls, “She’s practically riding his thigh as she speaks to us.”
“G!”
Tommie’s hand hits his chest and he shrugs as he hands her his lighter so she can light her cigarette, “What? Look at them-”
The three follow his eyes to see her now fully perched on his lap, instead of just the half leaning position she had had before, their faces inches apart and a smile on Matty’s face.
“I’ve never seen him so smitten.” Adam comments and George shrugs.
“He’s not smitten with her, he’s smitten with whatever it is he's on.”
“What?”
“He’s high, not on weed, I don’t know what he’s taken, but he's definitely not sober.”
Tommie turns to watch them again, “Really? I didn’t realise he’d started doing other drugs.”
The other two send a stern glance to a wide eyed George. A big secret the band have been keeping from her slipped out in a few seconds. A secret they’d been keeping for two whole years.
“Drink, probably.” Adam says, trying to cover their tracks.
Not that ‘Gullible Tommie’ has realised anyway. Despite being the smartest in the band, she can sometimes be the most stupid.
She watches Matty tap her thigh and she climbs off of him so he can get up and go to the bathroom.
George drops his cigarette to the floor, stomping on it before following him through.
He rushes forward to grip Matty when he sees him bent over the sink, hand gripping his collar and bringing him up.
“What the fuck you playing at? Matty….”
“What?” He rubs the back of his hand against his nose, “Leave it, George, just a bump.”
He shakes his head, taking some tissue to clean the drugs over the restaurant sink, “Who's this bird you’ve suddenly brought round?”
Matty rolls his eyes, “Have some respect, G, that’s not a bird, it’s my girlfriend.”
“When’d that happen?”
Matty shrugs, turning to the mirror and fluffing up his long curly hair, pushing some sunglasses on and fixing the collar of his leather jacket. “Don’t know, pretty recent.”
“Pretty recent?” George repeats in a question, “Well, it was almost pretty fucking recent when you were crying in the studio to a song you wrote about Tommie.”
He shrugs, “Time I moved on from Tommie, she doesn't like me, and I don't like her. God, why did I tell you about that?”
“You showed up to the studio a drunken mess after being out with her and Caleb for a drink. Wrote a whole song ‘bout it, sobbed as you sang it.”
He shrugs, “That was last week. I woke up, opened my eyes. I’m not good for Tommie, she’s not good for me. The end.”
“She heard the song, Matty.”
Matty pauses, eyes shifting over to him in the reflection of the mirror, “And I’m pretty sure she’d just come back from breaking up with Caleb when you introduced Ashley to us.”
He shakes his head quickly, “What song?”
George’s eyes fall and Matty presses further, “G, what fucking song?”
“Somebody Else.”
Matty curses quietly, then he shrugs, “That's the only one?”
“Yeah? Why-” He pauses, “Matty…”
“What?”
“Don’t tell me what I’m thinking is right.”
“Then don't tell me what you’re thinking.” He mutters and splashes some water on his face.
Before he can leave though, his hand curls around the metal bar to open the door, George's hand mirrors his and curls around his arm.
“She was finally being happy, Matty, and I’m your best friend too, I want you to be happy-”
“But she comes first?”
“I’m not saying that.” He sighs, “I want you both to be happy. But whatever this thing you’ve got going on in your head you need to sort first. You can’t keep starting something just to stop it with her-”
“Nothing started-”
“What about all those times on the rooftop?” Matty freezes, “I’m a light sleeper, and you’re an open book when you’re drunk. Tell everyone everything.”
Matty rubs his burning nose and sniffs, “Neither of them meant anything-”
“They did to her.”
Matty shrugs, “So what? You’re telling me to break up with Ashely because Tommie liked getting off with me-”
“No.” George says firmly, “I’m telling you to leave her alone until you’re out of this weird hole you’ve dug yourself into. She doesn’t deserve it. I’m telling you to stop the drugs, like you’ve promised. I’m telling you to let her be happy. Help her be happy. However it is, you have to do it, by being with her, or by leaving her alone. Just let her be happy.”
He shoves him towards the sink, pushing some tissue into his hand, “Now clean yourself up and get a fucking grip. Or I’m telling Tommie.”
Matty’s eyes form desperate pleas as he grips George’s shirt harshly tugging him towards him. Using the sink to hold them both upright, “Don’t tell Tommie. I-I fucking… I fucking swear, G, do not tell Tommie what’s been going on.”
“Then wise up, Matty.”

So I don't have anyone to talk about my CoD OCs. I have two, Sunny a 5'5" trans man and a former Combat medic and his best friend and partner in crime Vamp a 6'3" recon specialist. Sunny got his nickname because his Unit called him their little ball of sunshine. Vamp claims he got his nickname because of his inhuman proficiency with a knife and would be covered in blood more often then not after a successful mission. in reality it's because of incident involving a late night cranberry drink run gone bad in which some new guys startled him covering him in red juice making him looking a bit monstrous. every holiday/birthday Sunny gifts him novelty juice packs that look like blood bags, because how else do you feed the vampire? a major side effect that it has started the rumor that Vamp is an actual vampire and Sunny is his handler in company's they've worked with in the past. is it that good or bad? who knows, it makes them memorable at least.
Sunny left the military due to his father getting ill and his mother needed someone to help run the florist shop and given that his sibling's jobs are "actual life long careers", according to his mom, he finishes out the end of his contract and goes home accepting his fate. However Vamp one day shows up to the shop and is like, "hey b!tch! Guess who's gone into the private sector and wants to take your ass with them?" Basically kidnaps him because Sunny deserves to do be doing something he wants to do not what his family expects of him. So they kind of bounce between company to company mostly doing temp work.
Over time they've added new skills to their resumes like Sunny gets good at undercover work using his florist background to send hidden messages. Vamp learns coding and gains a particular knack at making EMPs with limited resources.on the field Sunny is confident and can command a room and is unusually strong being able to carry people two or three times his weight off the battle field. out of the field he is a stuttering shy mess who gets embarrassed easily. even then he always makes sure to greet everyone with a smile even when he's freaking out.
Vamp on the field is cold and calculating. he moves fast and prefers close combat in the dark. off the field he's light hearted, cracking jokes, and giving shit to people he considers close especially Sunny. Vamp is also a bit of a nerd but don't call him that he takes great offense to that.
I'd like to think that Sunny's friendly demeanor and much smaller size would make him at least approachable to Moose, but I'm pretty sure Moose would also come off as intimidating to the shorter man, especially if he finds out that moose is one of the favorite children in shadow company without knowing why, if Sunny has learned anything from jumping from company to company is that you don't mess with the favorite. not that he'd want to mess with Moose he just wouldn't want to risk miscommunication, something he sadly excels at when out of the field.
I think if Moose met Vamp on the battlefield he'd stay away from the man, but if Sunny and Vamp got hired on as temp contractors to shadow company. Vamp would try and talk to him especially since he always wants to learn from any of the tech specialist's in each company they work with. Sorry this ran rather long.
- 🌻 🦇
Moose has had some bad experiences with mercenaries who are temporarily brought into Shadow Company’s ranks so he tries to keep his distance. Whether or not he comes around depends on what the other Shadows have to say about them.
Moose is normally very work oriented on the field (and usually very far away from active combat). Graves places him somewhere with a team of Shadows and Moose won’t move unless Graves tells him to. But, if possible, Graves won’t have Moose on the field at all and he would be support from a much safer and controlled location.
Off the field and not during a mission, if Vamp approaches him to ask him about tech, Moose may agree to show him some things depending on what the other Shadows have said about him. Same goes for Sunny on whether Moose approaches him or lets himself be approached.
The whole vampire rumor would definitely take off in Shadow Company considering they love shit like that, and next thing you know Vamp is being addressed as “Count Fang” in a email. Moose didn’t actually mean to send it with that name and now he’s dying because he’s embarrassed and partially terrified of what Vamp would do. All the other Shadows are laughing their asses off and Moose is just losing his mind over how he addressed the guy who is very good at stabbing.

Loki laufeyson x Y/N Time of love
alr New fanfic series! kinda nervous bc idk what to do- BUT ILL TRY MY BEST LITTLE ONES!!! listening to my hype playlist aint helping im abt to dance
WARNINGS: mentions of abuse, cursing, strict parents, knife/dagger. if you dont enjoy or feel comfortable with these topics you're free to leave!
-You were a simple 29yo woman with abusive parents. You had no other place to stay, and your best friend had strict parents. They don't allow anyone else but family members in their house. You were in a miserable life, but your friend supported you all the way. Today those sorry excuses of parents let you go to the busy street where it looked so beautiful. Can't believe they let you out the house with booty shorts and a oversized hoodie and headphones
Tumblr media
(this but it was night time)
-Just now getting out of a place you see everyone freaking out suddenly. "What the hell could be going on?" whispering to yourself. You saw this gut in gold, green and black holding some staff with a bright blue light at the end of it. To be honest, he was kinda cute. He starts to introduce himself. You thought this guy was just doing the most, until he shouts. "KNEEL". Every person starts to kneel before the man, he did look dangerous and like he can do some serious damage to this part of the town. You jumped and stood there against the shop wall.
-He starts to look if everyone followed his order but his eyes are locked to yours. You wanted to run out of there and get to your house but you didn't budge. He makes everyone make a path to get to you. Your bag of food dropped out of your grasp, your eyes went wide, and you started shaking. He's in front of you. Staring at you. You expected worse like he would make you kneel but, he took off his helmet and put the staff against the wall
-"Hello there mortal." He says blandly looking up and down at your figure. You start noticing and wanting to cover your plush thighs but you feel like you can't move. He starts to speak but notices your red face looking somewhere else from his gaze. "I'm Loki, God of mischief and I am burdened with a glorious purpose" Did he really just say that? "O-Oh I'm Y/N" Stuttering because of his tall figure with his hands next to his mid section to show that he wont hurt you.
-Out of nowhere he makes a dagger appear and hands it to you. He smiles while you hesitantly take it from his cold hands. "Thank you.." "Don't think of me as a villain, I'm like you. Neglected." He sure did look like it. You thought this was a myth but you snapped out of your trance when some guy in the american flag colors appears behind ya'll. "Excuse me for a moment" Loki says giving a warm smile and wink.
-You were positively sure this was not the first meeting you guys would have. You grabbed your bag and ran back to your house. Opening the front door, your dad comes to the door to yell at you but then notices you're shocked and almost traumatized. "The fuck your scared for? We didn't beat you up THAT bad!" You don't give an answer, but the fact that you met a GOD. A LITERAL GOD. "Why aren't you ANSWERING MY QUESTION!?" Your dad yells before throwing a beer bottle at you. You then again snapped out of your trance and use the dagger that Loki gave you
-You crashed the glass bottle to the floor and your mother then came to the scene to find a shocked father and a scared but still shocked daughter. "What the actual FUCK is happening?!" You were gonna say something but your father just had to cut you off. "YOUR STUPID LITTLE GIRL JUST CRASHED AND SPILLED A FRESH BEER BOTTLE TO THE FLOOR" You looked at him with disbelief. "You threw it at me! What was i supposed to do?!" "LET IT HIT YOU BITCH! WHY DO YOU HAVE A DAGGER TOO?!" Your mom just stood there but then heard you had a dagger, she never raised you like that but then again she abused you from 4 years old.
-"What is wrong with you Y/N?!" That. Was. The. LAST. Straw. "Y'know what? I'm DONE! IM 29 YEARS OLD, A FUCKING ADULT. YOU WONT LET ME LIVE MY LIFE, YOU WONT LET ME HANG WITH THE ONLY FRIEND THAT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE FAMILY, AND THE FACT YOU GET MAD OVER THE SMALLEST THINGS!! I MET A GOD WHO'S FIGHTING A SUPERHERO, AND THE AMOUNT OF TIMES YOU BEAT ME UP!" The parents look flabbergasted at the sudden outburst of their daughter "Do you know who your talking to little girl!?" your mother who had the audacity to blurt. "YEAH THE BITCH WHO CANT TAKE PROPER CARE OF THEIR DAUGHTER!" You said before leaving once more to your room to pack up and leave this retched household. -I wonder if i'll meet him again...- (- - mean thoughts)
GAWD DAUYM AM I TIRED. sometimes on july i just cant sleep and it happened last july so thats why this took so long but I TRIED MY BEST LITTLE ONES (why does little one remind me of thanos???)

Spelled (Carlos de Vil x Sanderson Daughter) Descendants 3- Ch. 9: Redemption
Tumblr media
The blade that causes the most agony is the blade that takes its time.
The metal running through flesh and blood,
Its sharp emotion cutting into fear itself.
Your mind stops entirely, it’s too late to realize…
Hope is the blade that has pushed me to this. I can’t blame my mother, my coven, or Carlos. All of this is because I dared to hope. I chose to partake in this rotten fairytale, the one with the evil witch and no happy ending.
As I fly over Auradon I feel no reason for remorse. The citizens are still cowering in their homes but it doesn’t matter. I mean no physical harm to them. If they cooperate nicely then all I ask is for my father’s release and my own solitude from the law. Ben’s turned to stone and Mal’s obviously not a reasonable figurehead so I will consult my demands with the new queen: Audrey.
It’s no trouble to find her. The giant beacon of pink light in the sky leads me straight to the palace and I spot the pink villain on the tower. When she sees me Audrey’s face twists into a taunting smirk.
“Hm. Come crawling back, have we freak?”
“You were right, Audrey,” I mutter as I land and dismount my broom. “Mal is nothing but a vicious, back-stabbing liar. She never wanted to keep the barrier open, and she never wanted to let me be free. She just wants to use my magic for herself.”
Audrey’s cruel gaze softens and she lowers the scepter. “I’m sorry to hear that. What about the others?”
My breath stutters and I look up with glowing eyes. “You… You know what you did. Thou cast them into stone!” I seethe. “And now that everyone I care for is either locked away or dead, there’s nothing holding me back. Uma predicted I would become a villain. Why test fate?”
“Magica?” A familiar black feline jumps onto the stone wall. I look away to avoid his judgeful eyes. “You’ve been busy.”
“Not now, Binx. I don’t need a lecture right now.” I let out a heavy sigh and turn to Audrey. “I have come to ask for thou’s permission to release my father and allow us to return home. Alone. Away from everyone. I promise I will not bother your reign as long as we are left alone.”
The pink-haired AK takes in my words with an amused look. She paces a few times and then says: “Funny. After all this I thought you’d want more.”
“I don’t want more. I just want my life back.”
She hums. “Very well. But first I need you to help me secure a certain asset.”
Something about the way she says it triggers my pulse to strike. “What asset?”
Audrey points the scepter and sends a blast of energy across the grounds, striking a nearby tree. When the smoke clears I see what- or who, she was aiming for.
“Let me go!” Celia shouts as Audrey’s magic pulls her towards us. “I’m not on Mal’s side anymore!”
“That’s too bad,” Audrey says. “Because Mal still poses a threat to me and you’re going to be my insurance that she doesn’t try anything against me. As long as I have you she can’t do anything drastic.”
A hostage? No, I don’t like that. And neither does Binx.
“Magica, stop her! This isn’t right!”
“If it means I can be left in peace…”
No. It’s still not right. Celia shouldn’t be caught up in this. This is between me and Mal.
“Audrey, there are other ways-” I start off slowly.
“Here she comes!” she cackles and looks up at the darkening sky.
Mal, in dragon form, comes flying towards us with Audrey blasting magic everywhere. Unlike previous times I don’t see any anger behind Mal’s eyes. Did she just show up for a peace offering?
“Help me, Mal!” Celia shrieks and Audrey pulls her closer.
“Come save your little friend, Mal!”
Mal it seems is trying to put together how to attack without hurting Celia. All she does is circle around and growl with no intention of blasting any fire.
“Help me out!” Audrey barks and tries to curse Mal. “Come on! Blast her!”
Down below I see Uma and Harry run up, and I can tell they’re planning on stopping us. At least they’re unscathed. But Uma’s fearful and disappointed stare makes me wonder just how evil this side is.
Despair will cloak my being.
My mortal self will subside.
The face of Death I’m seeing…
To a frightful fate I’m tied.
“Hold still, you little brat!” Audrey hisses at Celia. “Once these two prissy VKs are taken out I’ll finally get what I deserve!”
“Mal! Do it together!” Uma shouts from the ground.
Using both her shell and Hades’ Ember in Mal’s clawed hand, Mal blocks Audrey’s next lightning attack and sends it back to her, knocking her down. Mal descends and turns to human form, approaching us very slowly.
“Magica, I know you’re mad. You have every right to be. I’m a terrible friend and a selfish queen who thought if I locked away potential threats then I’d be doing the right thing. But it’s not. I can’t just assume that evil can be locked away. I need to settle things diplomatically.”
From the ground in hear Audrey scoff. “Ha! She’s trying to sweet talk us again. How ‘bout that, freak?”
The guilt and dread, pooling in my stomach.
The sorrow of humanity is stressing.
My time winds down to the final hour.
The hope and joy wanes from my conscience.
“My. Name. Is-” My eyes glow bright and I hold up my arms, both flickering with purple sparks. “Magica. SANDERSON!”
A powerful spray of flames bursts from my chest and spreads out in waves. Audrey cries out and is slammed against the wall even harder. She hisses in pain and sends out her own blast from the scepter. Time to end this once and for all!
“Praesidium! Praesidio nobis! Protegat nos cara Domine!”
A circle of purple runes sparks to life and spreads across the land.
“Magica! You can’t-!” Binx screams over the roar of my energy.
I know I can’t. No witch can cast a spell this powerful without a full coven. But if it means providing protection for Auradon then it’s the least I can do to repay my sinful vengeance.
“Praesidium! Praesidio nobis! Protegat nos cara Domine!” I rasp in a shaking voice.
My energy is almost gone. As if someone cut out my heart. Audrey’s unconscious and is no longer trying to attack. My work is done.
My mind goes fuzzy and I feel myself collapse against the stone floor. All I can hear through the ringing in my ears is Mal and Binx trying to reach me.
Death is inevitable.
A knife through the heart will stop any flow. You will die, you will slow.
A hint of red will stain the floor,
After you have entered the door,
You will shriek.
Moan.
Die.
Not a quick death,
But just enough for you to feel your senses weaken.
A slow, miserable death.
A long and sad death.
But I am not alone. Through my glazed vision I see both Mal and Uma are kneeling next to me, while Binx is pawing at my chin.
“My prophecy did come true, Sparky,” Uma whispers. “But instead of destroying the world, you saved it.”
The black veil of grief clouds the bliss of Life. Will I make it through the night?
“I’m so sorry,” Mal’s breath hitches as she tries to block tears. “This is all my fault.”
Yes, it is her fault. But it is also partially my fault for letting things go this far. As I lay in despair, my dress torn and my skin covered with multiple cuts, all I can think of is that the deed is done. I am at peace.
Despair will cloak my being.
My mortal self will subside.
The face of Death I’m seeing…
To a frightful fate I’m tied.
“I- I don’t know if I will wake up,” I choke down a breath. “I only ask for your forgiveness.”
“Of course, Magica. But you need to stay awake. We’ll find Fairy Godmother, she can-”
Mal’s words are muffled out and my mind urges me into darkness. So now it ends. Without seeing mother, without keeping my promises. My last regret is that I never got to say goodbye to Carlos. I didn’t even get to tell him I still love him.
“For God shall bring every work to judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14
My own sins are tested. It’s in His hands now.

Mad Thomas
Fear street 1666 Mad Thomas x Reader
Summary: Mad Thomas, Aka the town drunk. Y/n Miller, Aka Hannah Miller's sister and the Pastor's daughter. What happens when she gets stopped by Thomas on her way to the forest for the fruits of the land thing?
Warnings: smut I guess? Well kind of smut??? It's not really smut???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Y/n!" Her mother called to her from the kitchen, slight evidence of annoyance in her voice, causing Y/n to sigh and walk away from her chores in her room.
"Yes, mother? What is it?" She asked somewhat quietly as she approached her mother.
"Can you see why your sister is taking so long with her chore outside?" Her mother clearly looked upset.
Y/n nodded, walking to the door and opening it, seeing Hannah talking to Sarah Fier.
Y/n smiled at Sarah, having no problem with her she didn't see why not, Sarah smiling back at her as Hannah looked to her sister.
"What is it?" Hannah asked timidly.
"Mother wanted to know what has been taking you so long out here-"
Y/n was interrupted by their mother, "and that she has to come back inside!"
Y/n rolled her eyes, "and that you have to come back inside. Don't worry, I won't tell her that you've been talking to Sarah." She said in almost a whisper, careful to not let their mother hear.
Sarah sighed, "I'll see you tonight, Hannah."
Hannah nodded to her, "of course." She then walked past Y/n into the house, their mother starting to say harsh things to her as Y/n started to close the door behind her.
"Where are you going?" Mrs. Miller's direction turned towards her other daughter.
Y/n turned her head towards her, "going to check on father, is all." She lied.
Mrs. Miller huffed as a response, letting Y/n go.
Y/n smiled at her mother before closing the door behind her, looking towards Sarah.
"The full moon rises before nightfall." She said with a smile.
"A good night to enjoy the fruits of the land. You're going too?" Sarah raised a brow in surprise.
Y/n chuckled, "why of course. I may be the Pastor's responsible daughter, but that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun once in a while right? And Hannah needs it since our mother has been especially hard on her lately." She sighed as she started walking with Sarah.
Sarah nodded in understanding, "it's because of me, isn't it?"
"Most likely. I wouldn't be too worried though. Just as long as you don't do anything bad, I'm sure you both will be fine." Y/n explained, examining the people around her, waving to Abigail as she dragged Constance off with her.
Y/n looked down to see a bag in Sarah's hand, and that they were headed in the direction of Solomone Goode's home. "What have you got in that bag of yours?" She asked.
"One of the piglets that had gotten stuck. I wanted to give it to Solomone as a gift." Sarah responded, and just as she said that, a small oink came from inside of the bag.
Y/n chuckled, "Ah, alright well I'll leave you to it. I might as well actually check on my father while I'm outside."
"I'll leave you to it, then." But just as Sarah was about to leave, the door to the outhouse burst open, a drunken Thomas stumbled out of it.
Both girls groaned in annoyance at the boy as he stumbled towards them.
"I can see A secret about you, girl." Thomas said as he walked straight towards Sarah.
"And a good day to you too, Thomas." Sarah replied calmly, though slightly annoyed by his presence, trying to step forward away from him but he stopped her.
"Don't you want to hear it?" Thomas questioned.
"Thomas, leave her alone she doesn't want to deal with you right now." Y/n said, grabbing his arm.
Sarah nodded, "please just leave me alone."
But Thomas didn't listen, he just shook Y/n's hand off, contuing to bother Sarah. "I can see everything. I can see all the dark secrets in Union."
Sarah scoffs, "you must be busy." She then pushed Thomas away and started to walk, Y/n gasping as Thomas persisted, grabbing onto Sarah again.
"I see darkness in you, girl!" He said as Sarah struggled in his grip.
Y/n grabbed him, forcing him off of Sarah and pushing him. "Be still, Thomas!" Y/n warned as Sarah glared at the man. Thomas just laughed.
"Sarah, it's best if you go now." Y/n sighed, eyeing Thomas to make sure he doesn't go after Sarah again.
Sarah nodded, then turned around and continued her walk to Solomone's home.
"Beware, Sarah Fier!" Thomas laughed again.
Y/n scoffed, "Thomas, would you please stop being so crude to Sarah? She's done nothing wrong."
Though it seemed that Thomas wasn't exactly listening to her words, only looking at her and grabbing her wrist, leaning in closer to her.
"And you, you hold many secrets." He told, holding her wrist tightly but not too tightly, which is strange for him.
Y/n's cheeks started to turn pink, her face feeling warm as she stuttered, "i-i have no idea what you are talking about. You are completely mad, Thomas."
Thomas smirked, letting go of her wrist, "you hide behind a facade, girl. But I know who you really are." His eyes practically pierced through her own.
Y/n's heart was beating erratically at how close he was, and the lowness of his voice...she knew he was just drunk and had no understanding of his words, but she almost felt like he did in fact know.
But it was something even she didn't want to admit. She didn't want to admit that Y/n Miller, the Pastor's daughter, was in love with the town's famous drunk, Mad Thomas. But she couldn't help it. There was just something about him that made her so strangely attracted to him, but she could never put a finger on it.
He laughed once more, walking away (more like stumbling away).
Y/n sighed, taking a moment to calm her flushed cheeks before spotting her father and heading her way towards him.
-------------------------------------------------------
Y/n took a deep breath as she took small, quiet steps down the stairs in her house quiet as to not wake up her parents, and saw her sister at the door.
They nodded at each other, linking arms and walking towards the forest.
Lizzie and Sarah appeared, stealing Hannah away to collect the berries as Y/n chuckled to herself, continuing on her way to the party.
As she entered the woods, she heard ruffling noises behind the trees. Of course she thought nothing of it, the thought of one of the party-goers or an animal only crossing her mind.
But as she walked further, she was suddenly pulled behind a tree, she shrieked, a hand quickly covering her mouth as she was pushed up against it.
She recognized it immediately, looking up to see the face of Thomas. Though she had calmed down a bit, she was still a little freaked out about the sudden actions of him. "T-Thomas what are you doing?"
Thomas had a smirk on his face as he looked at her, "you're mother and father wouldn't like if they found out you were out here at night. I expected this from your sister, but from you? I would have never guessed."
"What I do is none of your business, Thomas. And my parents do not control me." Y/n stood her ground, but Thomas was so close she could feel his warm breath on her face. She was trying her best not to show her blush.
Thomas chuckled darkly, "now now, there's no need to lie. I know you care about what your parents think."
Y/n's eyes narrowed, "you know nothing." Her heart was thumping so loud in her ears she swore everyone could hear it.
But Thomas ignored her, "I also know that you feel something for me. I see it in your eyes every time you look in my direction."
Y/n scoffed, "you really do live up to your name, Mad Thomas. I feel no such things for you. Your drunken mind must be playing tricks on you." Her breaths were becoming sharp as Thomas leaned in closer to her.
Thomas chuckled once again, "there is no need to lie, love. I've got secrets of my own." He lifts one of his hands that were pinning her against the tree, gently pushing away some of her hair away from her face, then stroking her cheek lightly.
The action and nickname caused a shiver to go down her spine, her cheeks getting warmer as she kept her gaze on his own, her breath hitching. "A-and what are t-those secrets, Thomas?"
He leaned in more, his lips close to her ear as he whispered, "why should I tell you mine, if you won't admit your own?"
Y/n went silent for just a moment, then sighed. "If I admit mine, would you tell me yours?" She said in almost a whisper.
He leaned his head back to her face, "I will do better. I'll show you." He moved his body closer to her this time, holding her gaze.
It made her weak at the knees, her trying her best not to fall. "Alright, you want to know?"
Thomas nodded.
"I-Im in love with you. I know I shouldn't be, but i can't get those thoughts out of my head. There's just something about you that irks me so much but at the same time makes my head spin."
His eyes widened in surprise, he was only just teasing her after all. He didn't know she actually felt that way about him. He quickly went back to normal, plastering his famous smirk back onto his face, "and what kind of thoughts are those?"
Y/n gulped, "that is something you do not need to know. Now, it is your turn. What is the secret you so desperately want to show me?"
Thomas kept his eyes on her as he slid his hands down to the strings that held the front opening of her dress closed, "my secret is this."
She gasped as he began to pull at them, loosening the top of her dress and having it come undone.
Her hand instinctively reached out to grab his wrist, stopping him. "What are you doing, Thomas?! We aren't even wed!" She whispered.
Thomas shushed her, putting his hand back onto her now-bare chest. "Don't worry, dear."
A shiver went down her spine again, "for a man who listens to God and tells one of my greatest friends practically the devil, you sure do a lot of sinning yourself." She smirked, suddenly gathering courage.
Thomas' eyes narrowed a little, "that is different." He growled.
"Oh? How so?" She began to tease him, though one of his hands were still on her chest, she thought nothing of it.
Thomas' mouth opened and closed, trying to find words but coming up with none. He then pushed himself away from her, turning around to leave.
Before he could, Y/n grabbed his wrist, making him turn towards him. "Now hold on a minute, Thomas. Who said I wanted you to stop? You cannot leave me here like this without having done anything to me." She snarked.
"Why should I? You did try and use my own words against me." He said as he walked closer to her once again.
"Surely you can take a joke?" She questioned with a smile.
Thomas rolled his eyes, then suddenly pushed her against the tree for the second time, leaning in close to her, their lips noses only a few inches apart.
Y/n didn't wipe the smile off her face as she guided one of his hands back to her chest, the sleeves of her dress slowly falling down causing it to slide off of her shoulders slightly.
Thomas smirked at her, his mood quickly changing before he kissed her deeply, hands gliding into places they normally shouldn't be, his lips traveling down to her neck as she leaned her head back on the tree in pure ecstacy, never having had this experience before, it was a new...amazing feeling.
-------------------------------------------------------
Y/n entered the part of the forest where the rest of the teens were, looking around to see Sarah and Hannah missing, while the others were all dancing and hanging around, some even making out with each other.
She felt a tap on her shoulder and looked to see Lizzie, who looked at her with a disapproving yet concerned look.
"You're late. What took you so long?" Lizzie asked.
Y/n's mind thought back to the previous events, a small smile appearing on her face, "I, uh, got... distracted."
-------------------------------------------------------
----
Tell Him Later
SECOND PART - Part 2
platonic!Tony Stark x male!reader
pronouns: he/him
summary: life had been hard for you, but your escape is Stark Industries. What happens when your escape turned against you too?
WARNINGS: divorce, blood, panic attacks, scratching at skin
 “No!” You yelled as your project flew off to the other. Tony was cackling while holding his stomach. “O-Oh my go-o-o-od…” He dragged out between laughter. His hand slapped the table and there were tears in his eyes. He was breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath again and you looked over at him. “Tony! It isn’t funny! It’s gonna break!” You yelled back at him, although this was the wrong choice as he doubled over in laughter. The table was a mess and you were near tears of laughter from the situation and anger for your project not working. “O-Ok.. come on kid l.. Hehe… let’s get back to working on this… what is this?” He spoke, looking at the mangled robot. He thought it would make you laugh, but it sadly did the opposite. You frowned, your face leaning into your hands as you sighed.
“Tony…” you spoke. You felt tired and upset. Lately things haven’t been going well at home, so the Industry was your only escape. You mother had been yelling at your dad more, for stupid things that he didn’t even do most of the time! The sun beamed down in the lab, signaling that your escape-hours were ending. “Sorry, Tony. I gotta go, Mom’s been wanting me home earlier.” You spoke, lying through your teeth. There was a hint of dread in your already tired sounding voice. ‘Why do things never go as planned for me..?’ You asked yourself in your head. You frowned as your nose felt warm. That was a signal that you would start crying soon. It always happened, and you didn’t know why. Maybe it was genetic.
Tony looked at you, his eyes softening. “Hey, kid… you know, you can talk to me whenever you want.” He spoke, patting your shoulder. You stifled a cry and nodded, your voice was weak with the feeling of tears welling up in your eyes. Tony pat your shoulder again. That was your que. You sped out of the lab room, backpack on your back and your headphones plugged into your phone. You turned on your Spotify playlist as you listened to the opening. Your tears fell at the song. Freaks by Surf Course. You smiled as the song played and as the tears fell down your face. ‘Maybe tomorrow,’ you thought to yourself, ‘maybe tomorrow I’ll tell Tony what’s been happening.. Maybe he can help me.’
It didn’t happen tomorrow. Or the Next day. Or the Next. Tony was gone. ‘Probably fighting... he’s an Avenger, after all. Just hope he stays safe.’ You would tell yourself. Tony came back, although it was after 2 weeks. He brought this kid with him. You thought nothing of it, probably a newbie, maybe he’s showing him around? ‘Weird, how’d he get accepted at this time?’ That question popped in your head so many times, it was almost like the plague. It was strange… eh, whatever. You’d tell Tony what was happening during your lab time today.
‘He didn’t show up…. He didn’t show up! What was happening? Maybe that new kid was asking him a bunch of questions. He'll be back tomorrow.’
.
.
.
Why do you get your hopes up?
.
.
.
.
2 weeks. It had been 2 weeks since he had turned up to your daily lab time. Your parents had gotten the divorce they needed, but you were still in shambles. The divorce was ugly too. Screaming from both sides, including some yelling from you. However, you were still turning up to work everyday as this would go down at home. Somehow you had remained at the top of the leaderboards in Stark Industries. The first place rank thing, that was the only keeping you motivated to work. You wanted to be like how Tony had described you, “the son he never had.”  But there was this one kid, Peter Parker. He had passed your name and made it to first place.
You cried when that happened. It wasn’t even something to cry over, you just bursted out in tears. At other times, this would motivate you, but without Tony’s words of encouragement and with what was happening in your life, it brought you down into a new low. You were full on sobbing, your head ached from the tears, your hands were numb from working. Your eyes hurt and you were  sure the whole building could hear your cries. “Why won’t you stop crying, Y/N?! You’re such a baby, mom was right!” you yelled at yourself, crying even more at the thought. Your hands tore at your hair and your breathing got heavier. It was to the point where your chest had hurt and your ears were ringing, but you continued to spew hateful words at yourself. You could barely hear Tony yelling for you.
Tony had been walking down the halls of Stark Industries. He saw that Peter had beat you, and was shocked and proud of him. He wanted to see how you were doing, because he knew that you could bounce back to be even better… or so he thought. When he heard crying, he thought you had hurt yourself, so he turned to the supply closet near the room that he had passed. He waltzed over to there speedily, hoping the injury wasn’t too bad. But when he heard “Why won’t you stop crying, Y/N?! You’re such a baby, mom was right!” come out of your mouth, he clutched onto the med kit and ran to your lab room. When he got there, he was shocked, frozen in place.
Your desk was a wreck and you were full on sobbing. You were tearing at your hair and you had blood coating your hands. ‘That’s… from his scalp..’ Tony realized, his eyes growing wider at the thought. He jogged over to you, noticing your breathing was getting heavier by the second. “JARVIS, What’s wrong with him?!” Tony demanded as he called out to you. “K-kid… hey, can you hear me?!” You looked up with a dead look in your eyes. He was scared for your health, your head was bleeding at an alarming rate from the way you had scratched at it. “It appears he’s suffering through a panic-attack right now, sir. From what is happening, it looks like he will need medical assessment for his scalp.” JARVIS spoke, informing that man who was trying to get your attention.
Tony looked at you, and then around. “W-well how do I help him?!” Tony stuttered back. He couldn’t handle his own anxiety attacks, how was he supposed to help someone through a panic attack?! “Try to get his breathing levels at a normal rate, sir. It could help tremendously.” JARVIS informed. ‘O-Ok..’ Tony tried, you were still scratching at your scalp, the blood was dripping from your hands onto the ground. Your breathing was still heavy. He grabbed your shoulders, and in the calmest voice he could, he started speaking. “Hey, kiddo, look at me. Look, follow my breathing.” You sort of followed, your breathing wasn’t steady in the slightest, and you could barely hear him, but you were trying.
He smiled at the attempt, but still made you follow it. 4 in, 6 hold, 5 out. It probably wasn’t the right breathing method, but it was working. It took 13 minutes for you to get your breathing steady. Tears were still flowing from your eyes, and blood had stained your hair. Tony held your shoulder and you started to feel the pain in your scalp increasing. “I-I’m sorry, Tony…” You spoke, hiccupping during your words. Tony turned over to you, shocked at what you had said. “What do you mean you’re sorry, Kid?” He asked, the worry in his eyes showing. “I was acting like a child, I should’ve been better…” At this point you were spewing all the nonsense out of your mouth that your brain could come up with. Tony was confused at your words and patted your shoulder, stopping your rant.
“Kid, you don’t have to apologize for a panic-attack. You were, and probably are still hurting. Mentally and physically, which by the way, we should get you checked up.” He cut himself off, which made you laugh. “JARVIS-” He spoke, but the AI cut him off before he could speak. “I’ve already gotten medical help, sir. The wait will be 2-3 minutes.” Tony smiled, as you yawned. “Kid, don’t you dare fall asleep, cause I don’t want you dying on me.” Tony spoke, seriousness in his voice as he was keen on keeping you awake and alive. You lulled your head over, sleepily, but your head was hurting. “I want to rest…” You spoke, tired. “Nope, MEDIC!” He yelled as he plucked you from your spot in the ground, alerting the medic of where you two were.
 Yeah, you’d tell him later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ᴀ/ɴ: AHHHH I AM GLAD YOU LIKE MY WORK LUV 🥺 I hope you enjoy this one as well 💘 also I tried changing from headcanons to a really small drabble here :D
Tumblr media
Dazai Osamu:
Tumblr media
Dazai never wondered about how tomorrow will play out, he never looked forward to it. He never thought about his future unless it ended with him taking his life away. He never thought he would be committed to live let alone to someone.
But you came in and changed that for him.
First from strangers to friends, from friends to best friends, from best friends to lovers, from lovers to fiancé’s and from fiancés to husband and wife.
He never imagined being in a relationship with anyone yet here he was laying on the couch with you trapped in his arms while talking with a voice he always found music to the ears.
“Hey ‘samu..” your voice suddenly called out to him in a small tone while he tilted his head. Why did you get anxious suddenly? Did something happen? Why are you nervous? He couldn’t place his hand on whatever made you feel this way right now but nevertheless he wanted assure you.
He rubbed your back hoping it can give you a push forward and that you can tell him what’s on your beautiful mind. “...what do you think about having a baby?”
Oh. So that is what it’s about.
“It’s just a hypothetical question by the way!” you stuttered confirming his suspicions before he hugged you tightly and buried his face in the crook of your neck. “I am pregnant ‘samu..” you ended with a smile. “Thank you...thank you, thank you..” he kept repeating the same words like a chorus that he memorized by heart.
Dazai was happy, his heart is full. He didn’t take a life now, he made one. He made one with you, his beautiful wife and his loving belladonna. Eyes getting teary, he smiled against your skin. He pulled back and connected your foreheads.
“God I love you more than anything.”
He said with a tone nothing less than sincere and passionate. Had you expected this reaction? A part of you told you that he won’t like it, but another told you he will be the best father he can be and won’t leave you.
And then the mood turned 180 degrees as Dazai turned to his goofy self and started screaming “WE ARE GONNA HAVE A BABY!” And that’s how he started his mission of telling everyone in the ADA about the wonderful news.
But despite his exterior, you both knew that he was genuinely happy with it and it’s not his clown mask that is supposed to convey his true happiness authentically. That’s why what’s under the mask and behind the walls is only preserved for you.
His belladonna, wife and mother of his children.
Chuuya Nakahara:
Tumblr media
You felt somewhat confident and more assured about telling Chuuya about the two lines that changed your entire lives.
He had been having a baby fever lately, always glancing at the babies’ isle, sometimes trying to subtly make a baby laugh and feeling joyful when it does. It was another reason that made you know he is a wonderful father.
You heard the door of your house freak open with the usual “I am home!” of your dear husband. You smiled at the sound of his voice and felt a kiss on the top of your head. “How are you, dove?” He asked before hanging his coat and taking a seat beside you.
You giggled and assured him that you are okay then held his hand. “Chuu I wanna show you something.” You carefully let out, you had been planning this for a long time after all. He squeezed your hand ushering you to go on.
You got a box and placed it on the table. Chuuya started wondering if you got him a gift. Excitedly he looked at you then back at the box slowly pulling off the top of it. He pouted in confusion when he saw a pink shirt, nevertheless he took it out and saw the writing that said “Mama Chihuahua”
He blankly stared at the shirt and let out a mocking laugh “very funny, dove.” You encouraged him to keep looking and the next thing he got out was a blue shirt with “Papa Chihuahua” he furrowed his eyebrows starting to see a certain pattern.
He subconsciously hoped it was what his heart desired for some time now.
He lastly pulled out a yellow baby onesie with the writing “Baby Chihuahua” he then gripped the shirt tightly and looked at you in complete shock and disbelief. “Y/N you are-“ “ pregnant.” You ended with a soft grin.
Chuuya hugged you tightly and cheered, “HAHA YES FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS!” He started peppering kisses all over your face and chuckling, it truly fulfilled what his heart has been longing for.
Chuuya held your hand and kissed the ring on your finger and vowed once again but for a different person “I swear on my life that I will protect you and our baby from everything and anything.”
His eyes held a certain look of stern and honesty. Chuuya was always a loyal man to anyone who shows that they deserve it and he was one to keep his promises.
And until now he had kept himself true to his vows, and he won’t hesitate or fail to be true to the one he made just now.
Atsushi Nakajima:
Tumblr media
(Atsushi is aged up to 23 cause I am not letting you guys be teenage parents at 18 👩‍🦲)
Atsushi was always good with kids. It honestly reassured you that whenever you guys will have a child then it will be easy and nice for them to interact.
Despite rambling a lot about how kids are adorable and how he wants to squish their cheeks, He has never asked you if you ever wanted a child or suggested having one. Not that you were expecting him to since he does get shy quite often.
Even after 5 years of being together and being married just last year, kisses from your turn his face into a pink hue. Truly a lot of milestones have been placed in your relationship and you two enjoyed every single one of them.
Today however was a new milestone.
As soon as his eyes landed on the pregnancy test you forgot on the sink of your shared bathroom last night, he got overwhelmed. He held the test shaking and slid to the ground.
You are pregnant.
Happy tears flooded his yes as a smile cracked so wide reaching his eyes, Atsushi was strong when needed but right now he wanted to show even to no one just how happy two dashes made him be.
He stood up slowly not to wake you up and kneeled down to your bed. He kissed the top of your head, wiping his tears so they don’t fall on your face and wearily whispered “thank you...”
He held your body tenderly and a smile never leaving his face as he kept talking to your tummy hoping that even now his baby would hear him and know that his dad is already ready to welcome him with open arms.
A/N: I don't know why Remus gave me such Heath Ledger vibes when I was writing this but he did and I am honestly so fucking proud of it. Now, I really want to make myself some rice and chicken... or just rice. I hope you like it <3
REQUESTED BY @cloudywitchh: Hiiii, Im not sure if your requests are open, but if they are i have one. :)) Before I request, I want you to know that I love your oneshots and series! ive been binge reading. Could you possibly do a Gryffindor reader that has both james and remus that like her. oneshot or series. if you choose to write it, thank you, if not i understand
XX
Souls meet when eyes do and it hasn't been much easy to hold yourself back when such mesmerising hazel eyes had done nothing but watch you seductively.
At first you couldn't feel it but after a while, something in the back of your mind told you to look a certain direction. When you did, your eyes met his and a certain colour started to appear on your cheeks.
You watched him, he watched you. "Yes, Potter?" you asked with a smirk forming on the corner of your lips.
He smiled, tilting his head a bit to the side before speaking. "Had you done something new with your hair?" he asked, glancing up at your hair as you let out a laugh.
"Not really."
"Well, no matter of it." he leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest. "You look absolutely stunning."
You felt your heart flutter in your chest but you were not about to let him know that. "Thank you. When don't I look absolutely stunning." you joked and he rolled his eyes.
"Hey, mate." Remus came into the common room and tapped James' shoulder as he passed him by, sitting next to him.
James smile faded a bit. He was a tad disappointed in his friend's presence. Everything had seemed to go so well between you and him. If the two of you continued to be alone, he would have had more confidence to ask you out on a date. Knowing that Remus took fancy in you too, it was a bit challenging to do so.
"What's up, Moony?" James looked at him, clearly not in a friendliest tone Remus was used to.
Remus' lips twirled upwards and he felt amused by his friends' frustration. He looked at you and smiled wonderfully. "Hi." he said and you smiled cheerfully, oblivious to the competition in front of you.
"Hi, Remus."
You seemed to be a tad disappointed as well. You loved to flirt with James because it seemed so easy and fun to do yet sometimes you couldn't understand whether he truly likes you or if he's doing it just out of fun. But you live by your mother's words; If a man truly likes you, he will do absolutely everything to let you know and pursue you.
That was why you were always so laid back. You didn't overthink anything when it came to boy. They seemed to think more simply than girls and whatever they did, they did because they wanted to, not because there was a whole scheme behind their actions.
You could see a bit discomfort in James. You couldn't really figure out why but he started to pout, which had made you a bit more uncomfortable around both of them.
Remus, however, loved to talk to you. He was open and honest but sometimes you felt as if he held too many secrets inside of him. To you, he was a bit harder to get to know, no matter how much he could tell you.
"You're going to love this, (y/n)!" he started to sound more excited. "I had found the oldest yet most interesting place a few nights ago-" he hear- both of you heard James scoff to that. "And I know your curious spirit cannot wait to explore it."
"Where?!" you threw all your books away and jumped forward. Old ruins and historic backgrounds always made you overly excited. You must have gotten it from your dad's side of the family. Everybody seemed to be more of history freaks and you were no different.
"I can show you. What do you think James?" Remus turned to James, who only laughed.
"No, thank you." he stood up and stretched his arms over his body. "Rocks and dust? Not my cup of tea. If I wanted to take a girl I fancy-" he looked at you with a grin and a soft chuckle. "I'd take her somewhere more romantic." he walked to you and winked. "A lovely restaurant or a walk among the trees under the moonlight." he was leaning down to you, close and observing the flush in your cheeks.
Your eyes were meeting and it lit a fiery spark between the two of you but as you didn't want to give him the pleasure of it, you rolled your eyes and moved away. "That's a bit of a cliche, isn't it, Potter?" you stood up and stretched your back as well. "I don't do romance." you turned from James to Remus and smiled excitedly. "Shall we go and explore!?"
"Yes we shall."
---
Remus hasn't felt you this excited over some 'rocks and dust' in all the years he had known you but he had felt his heart fill with joy and love when he could see how a person can live for the small things in life. You didn't care about wealth or power, neither if a person was physically beautiful and attractive. You neither cared if person had its flaws, you still loved anybody for who they were; good or evil. You always tried to look the best in people and your gift was, that you always seemed to bring out just that out of everybody and especially out of him.
As the two of you had walked, he had realised that he wants to tell you something important to him. It wasn't a secret to his friends and family but it was a shameful secret to him and to everybody else.
"Can I tell you something?" he asked as the two of you were climbing up the hill.
"Yeah." you stopped, gasping for air and putting your hands on your hips. "I think we need to rest too." you smiled and he laughed.
"It's not that far. We're almost close."
"My heart is almost close to stopping too."
He laughed again and sat on the rock, finding the moon shining on him as if it was leaving its fullness from a few days ago. "I just have the need to tell you this... and I'm serious."
You looked up at him and found the moon perfectly cut out the colour of his green eyes. "Your eyes look so pretty in the moonlight." you said without any filter but sat down next to him.
"Thank you."
You smiled and looked up at the moon before taking a look of his worried expression. "What is it?" you shoved him a little as he smiled. "You can tell me your deepest darkest secret." you joked but it was no joke to him.
"Well... I'm... I'm a werewOlf." he stuttered out, trying to sound casually as he said so but unsuccessful.
You only stared in silence, clearly processing the information as he was impatient to wait for your reaction. Your eyes only narrowed at him and you nodded. "I knew it."
"You knew it?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I mean, I didn't know it. I just know there was something to you that I couldn't put my finger on but I kind of knew it. It did cross my mind once but I brushed it off quickly. I didn't believe it but apparently my intuition was on to something." you laughed and stood up, offering him your hand. "Shall we continue?"
"You don't seem a tad phased by it." he took your hand gently and stood up.
"Oh, I am but I really don't mind people being people. You know?" you started to talk fast. "I don't judge people by their flaws, more by their actions and I don't seem why your werewolfness would bother me when there are far worse withces, wizards and Muggles in this world, who are far more worse than any werewolf I had encounter. Which, you're the first but still. You don't seem the one to eat children and howl at the moon."
He let out a loud laugh. "I don't eat children but I do the latter."
The two of you walked up the hill hand in hand, him trying to pull you up as his steps were much larger than yours. He was more of muscles than you, faster and careful as for you seemed to trip over a branch or two.
He had opened up as the two of you made your way to the top and started to walk on the flatlands. It stretched far away from the castle but you could see the ruins so clearly from the distance. The light of he moon made the subject far more pleasing to the eye and at that moment when Remus was talking to you and your eyes seemed to wander on the view- everything seemed to be perfect and you imprinted that moment into your memory so that you can look back and re-live it all over again.
As he talked, he seemed more lose and excited. He hadn't held back on anything. He had told you about Animagnus forms of his friends and how he isn't the only one who howls at the moon. Sirius apparently loves to do it just as well in his other form. He had constantly made you laugh by his full moon stories and how he accepted the awful fact of his life-long destiny of sharing his body with a beast.
He was glowing, literally glowing when he was telling you all the things he was hiding from you and for the first time, you were the one to listen and he was the one constantly talking.
"We're here!" he pointed at the ruins of an old castle. It wasn't big or notorious as Camelot or Hogwarts or any other historically known castle. It was small and poor in it's built but it was still a castle, just not the traditional kind.
He let go of your hand and it gave you a sort of an electrical shock as he did. You seemed to be so comfortable and in love of holding hands that you completely forgot what it was like without his fingers intertwined with yours.
It wasn't for long though. He had opened the old wooden door for you and offered you his hand to lead you inside. "After you, m'lady." he bowed as a gentleman should and you hurried up inside, taking him by the hand and leading him behind you.
Your wands needn't to be lit as the moonlight made it's own natural light through the large gaps between the rocks. Nature made it's own charm by growing vines around the walls, flowers and grass among the cracks. It truly did feel more magical than the magic itself.
"Oh, Remus look!" you ran to one of the walls and saw names carved in. "Ibzan." you smiled back at him.
"Old biblical name." Remus followed and saw many other names written around it. "Arthur." he laughed. "Wouldn't be an English castle without an Arthur in it."
"Tatiana." you looked at it. "Like a princess." you looked at him but he seemed to be very close to you, staring forward. His chest was against your back and his head leaning over your shoulder. You didn't have to look back. You could only move your eyes to the side and see him there.
He seemed to be so focused on the rocks in front of you that he hasn't even noticed you marvelling at him. All you could see, for the first time noticing his sharp, nicely structured side profile. His cheek bones were finely defined, his lips sharp and plump and his eyebrows nicely arched.
He truly was a beautiful boy and you hadn't noticed it till now. His palm was placed against the rock as he was supporting himself but when he had noticed you looking at him, he slyly looked back. A corner of his mouth quirked up and he said: "A girl doesn't need to be a princess to have a beautiful name." he spoke low and quietly.
The spark that James lit before was over-flamed by the passion Remus arroused in you. Before you knew it, he was leaning down and kissed you softly. One short kiss and it was enough to tempt you for more. You put your hand around his neck and pulled him down for me, smiling into it as you had felt him smile as well. As heavy as they felt, they seemed light as well because no kisses seemed to be as perfect as his; soft, teasing yet deep and passionate.
When he placed his hand on your cheek you could feel the dust set on your skin. You let out a giggle and he pulled away. "What?" he smiled but then just noticed how dark your cheek was. "Oh, my-" he let out a laugh, then looked back on the wall his palm was pressed on before. "I am terribly sorry."
You laughed as well. "Don't worry." you continued to laugh and wipe it away. "It'll probably wash away."
"Probably." he tilted his head a bit and gave you a peck. "And we should probably head back."
Putting your arms around his neck, you made a big stretch and looked up at the sky. "Ugh..." you looked back into his green eyes, burning your soul into sparks and bitses. "But it's so beautiful here." you let out a small whine and he chuckled.
"Well, (y/n)(y/l/n). I didn't think you did romance." he teased.
"I don't. I let the man do all the romance for me." you stepped on your tiptoes and brushed your nose against his.
"That's a bit unfair."
"I wouldn't worry if I were you, Lupin. I have time to make it fair."
"Glad to hear it."
One Locker Down
Kenickie Murdoch x Reader
//Grease popped up in my playlist yesterday and my childhood crush reignited itself
Senior year was going okay. Your grades were stellar, your standing in debate club was unchallenged and your personal best was improving every time you swam. But you were missing one pivotal thing to be considered the ‘complete senior.’ A relationship. You became embarrassed simply at the thought. You were cute and nice, just a bit awkward. Your social skills couldn’t hold a candle to those of Patty Simcox or the Pink Ladies. You usually preferred to keep to yourself but as senior year drew closer, you longed for more than what you had. On the first day of school you considered your options as you walked.
Are there even any options? Can you think of one person outside of your activities that even knows your name?
You were a bit discouraged walking into school as you found your way towards your locker. With your mind lost in thought, you had no time to react before bumping into none other than Kenickie Murdoch. He turned towards you directly, mouth open to begin sending a barrage of insults your way before he saw you. His mouth hung open a moment and then shut quickly. You stood there like a deer in the headlights, still waiting for the attack that was never to come. Kenickie bent down and picked up your books as you brought yourself out of your state of shock.
“I am so sorry!” You said bending down to help him, only to bonk heads with him instead. Kenickie rubbed his head and pulled off his sunglasses.
“Jesus, babe! Are you trying to send me to the hospital?”
You felt yourself blushing at what he called you and you quickly shook your head ‘no.’ Kenickie handed you your books and you went around to the locker right next to his.
“What’s your name?” Kenickie asked suddenly.
You stuttered out your name and he grinned at you.
“I like it,” he said smoothly. He looked like he had more to say until someone down the hall shouted for him. He gave you a wink and strolled down the hallway. You felt your heart beat wildly in your chest until you realized what had happened.
Ohhhh no. Not him. Not Kenickie. He’s a playboy, a greaser, not to mention he’s trouble incarnate.
But it was too late. You had it bad.
--
You didn’t see Kenickie until a week later. You were at your locker packing up for the day and when you closed the door, he was leaning against his locker. You stifled a scream and put a hand to your chest. Kenickie smirked at you.
“What’s the matter? Did I scare you?” he asked, pushing himself off the wall to face you.
“Just surprised me is all,” you tried to answer confidently, but it came out very unsure. Kenickie backed you into your locker and put his left hand next to your head, blocking you in on one side. You bit your bottom lip and stared up at him.
“How is it that I never noticed you before?” Kenickie eyed you up and down. “You’re hot stuff.” You thought you might die right then and there.
Kenickie thinks I’m hot? Is he feeling alright?
“Thank you,” you said shyly, keenly aware of how close he was to you and only wanting him to get closer.
Suddenly Kenickie moved away from the lockers and started walking away, calling back to you, “See you around gorgeous!”
You resisted the urge to dance your soul right out of your body and you headed the opposite way.
--
Kenickie’s POV:
“Kenickie who is that?” Sonny gestured to (Y/N) standing at their locker.
“Yeah, we’ve seen you talkin’ to em a whole bunch lately,” Putzie added.
Kenickie rolled his eyes and looked at the other T-Birds.
“What are you knuckleheads doing spying on me, huh?” He started to comb his hair, slick with grease, back.
“We just wanted to know what the plan was, boss,” Doody piped up. Kenickie looked at him confused.
“Plan?”
“With the nerd! We were thinking you could leave em a note inviting them on a date, tell em to wear something real flashy, and then they show up and you ain’t there!” Doody exclaimed. At this, the T-Birds erupted into laughter, hooting and howling like animals. Kenickie shut them up with a quick smack to the back of their heads.
“Enough clownin’,” he said, putting an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
“Come on Nickie, it’ll be funny!” Sonny begged.
Kenickie thought about it for a moment or two before saying, “Gimme some paper.”
--
Your POV:
You stood at your locker, feeling flustered. You had found a note from Kenickie. You read it over again just to be sure. It said:
“Dollface, you’re lookin’ extra good today. I was thinking maybe you and me could meet up tonight. Wear something to show off your assets. See you at Frosty Palace, seven o’clock. -KM”
You didn’t know what to think. Sure Kenickie had been nice to you lately, but the T-Birds were known for pulling stunts to hurt people’s feelings. You thought about what you wanted to do the rest of the school day, through swim practice and on your walk home from school.
Kenickie is probably just doing it to be mean. But he did say all those nice things to me… Then again it might’ve been a trick to ensure I’d come. But why go through all the effort just to stand me up? To make me look silly?
You walked into your house, waving to your mother as you went upstairs. You laid on your bed and yelled frustrated, into your pillow. You stayed there for a few moments before you heard your door creak open. You sat up as you mother walked in and sat on your bed.
“What’s going on?” Your mother asked, running her hand through your hair.
“I like this boy, and he asked me out tonight but I don’t know if he’s just going to ditch me,” you sighed. Your mother looked thoughtfully for a moment as you waited patiently for her sage wisdom.
“I think you should go. What does it matter if he stands you up? Go because you want to. If he’s there, great and if not, you can find someone else to spend time with. You are a beautiful, smart and kind person. You can get anyone you want so show that boy that you don’t need him, but you’re willing to give him a chance.”
You smiled and nodded at your mother and she helped you pick out a cute, but fairly modest, outfit for tonight. Then she helped you do your hair and by the time you were done, you looked great.
Kenickie, I hope you’re gonna be there. Cause I am gonna knock your socks off.
--
At six fifty your mother dropped you off just down the street from the Frosty Palace. You thanked her for everything and started walking. You hoped against hope that this wasn’t a trick. Your mother’s words had touched you, but you knew what you wanted, and you wanted him.
As you approached Frosty’s you scanned the parking lot, but saw no sign of him and your heart dropped into your stomach. You crossed the street and looked inside, but you still didn’t see him. You rounded the corner, intent on sitting on the bench so no one could see your tears, and there he was. Kenickie freaking Murdoch. He was leaning against the building, smoking a cigarette and as you walked up, he looked over at you.
“Whoa, look at you,” Kenickie smiled at you. “You look… amazing.”
You grinned at him and grabbed his hand, pulling him inside before he could even finish his cigarette. After a night of drinking milkshakes, eating burgers and playing songs on the jukebox, Kenickie drove you home. Once you got to your house, Kenickie parked and turned off the car.
“I had a lot of fun Nickie,” you said sweetly.
“Yeah, me too,” he said scooting closer towards you.
You leaned up and kissed his cheek. As you started to lean away, Kenickie caught your chin with his hand and kissed you hard on the lips. You kissed him back with intensity and wrapped your arms around his neck. His hands grabbed your waist, sliding them under your shirt and rubbing small circles into your skin. You squeaked in surprise and Kenickie took the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. You were enjoying the moment so much you could barely tear yourself away from him when he tried to lay you down.
“Kenickie,” you mumbled as he kissed your neck.
“Mhm?”
“I don’t think I’m ready for that yet,” you said gently as you pushed yourself back a bit. Kenickie begrudgingly pulled away, giving you one last kiss.
“Whenever you’re ready babe, I’ll be here,” he said, winking at you. You giggled and hugged him. He held you close, his hand running through a section of your hair.
“See you next Friday?” You asked.
“You know it,” Kenickie smirked as you got out of the car. You waved goodbye to him and watched him speed down the road.
Oh yeah. I got it bad.
Loving You (Wanda Maximoff/Reader)
Summary : The worst that could ever happen just happened to you.
You were a beta. Being an omega could’ve been better but no, God decided to fuck you up.
In a world, where Alphas and Omegas are considered the best, being a beta meant that you were just going to be an average person. Always in the middle.
People don’t look the same at you. You had potential. At the top of your classes, taking all of the AP Classes. Now, you doubt that even Colleges would consider you.
Ever since, Asami Sato has proven that even Omegas can change the world, people have been considering them as equal to Alphas… but never Betas. When has a Beta ever change the world?
So you shut up and hide from the world as you try to graduate and maybe get a job in your Family’s Company, R Firm.
But a chance encounter with a gorgeous Omega will change everything up.
-
Warnings : Omegaverse. Beta!Reader x Omega!Wanda Maximoff.
-
New series! After a month. College does seem to hate me that much.
You sigh as you trudge the halls of your high school. It was lunch break and almost everyone is in the cafeteria, obviously not you, though. You’ve been reading inside the library when Miss Danvers kicked you out, saying that she needs her lunch break too. You sigh and sit in front of your locker. You open up your book and begin reading.
Reading is one of the only things you could enjoy these days… you still remember the day you got your evaluation test.
-
You tremble as you stare at your test result. You were a beta. Tears spring up in your eyes but you quickly wipe them away. You could hear some people cry and some sniffle. You guess they were betas too.
“Y/LN?” You stop and turn to Janine Rivera, she was one of the juniors. A popular Omega who is in your AP English Class.
“Yes?”
“Do you want to-?” You stop and gulp. Janine cuts off herself and gets your test result. You don’t fight her because it’s better to just rip the band-aid off. She scoffs and shoves the result back to you. “Megan!” Another girl looks at Janine. “Cross off Y/LN! She’s a Beta!” She shouts and everyone quiets down. You take a deep breath and walk off. The murmurs then start. You feel tears again in your eyes and you wipe them away again.
You walk home because inside your school felt so suffocating. People were going home anyway to tell their families their evaluation result. As you stood in front of your house, you feel your stomach cave in. You’re afraid to face your parents. Your Alpha Mother would surely get angry. Even your Omega ma would look at you with disappointment. Your two Alpha sisters would get disgusted. Just imagining their reactions make you cry.
“Y/N?” Your sister, Alsie, gets out of her car and you cry even more. She quickly kneels besides you. “What’s wrong!?” You refuse to answer so she guides you inside. “Ma!?” Your Omega Mother, Dahlia rushes downstairs and gets to you.
“Y/N!? Are you okay?”
“M-ma.” You stutter and cry even more. Your other sister, Valerie, gets downstairs too and fusses over you. You faint and they panic even more.
When you came to your sense, you’re in the living room with your Alpha Mother, Zale, is hovering over you. She sighs in relief and shouts that you’re okay. She was about to leave and you bite your lip as you grab her arm.
“Mom.” You say weakly and Dahlia gives you a glass of water. You sit up and gulp it down in one go.
“What’s wrong, little one?” Zale asks gently and you try not to cry again. God, their gentle affections and kindness, will it go away once you tell them what you really are? That you’re just a Beta and not like them? Will they throw you out? Disown you? You take a deep breath and you look at them.
“I-I” You tremble and put the glass on the coffee table. “I’m a Beta.” You look down and clench your fists, waiting for their reply.
“Oh, Jesus, it was just her evaluation result.” You look up and see as your all of your family collectively sigh in relief.
“Damn it, Y/N, don’t scare us like that.”
“My little sister is a goddamn drama queen, who freaking guessed?” Zale slaps Valerie softly on her arm.
“Why were you so afraid, anak?”
“I thought you guys would get angry and disown me.” You sniffle and Dahlia quickly hushes you and hugs you.
“Y/N, little one, that doesn’t matter to us.”
“Dude, that’s like the least of our concerns.”
“Oh? What matters most then, Val?” Valerie glares at Alsie and look away. “Your potential mate, that girl call-“ Valerie screeches and attacks Alsie who dodges quickly. You laugh at their antics and everyone looks relieved at you. They hug you and you hug them back. Grateful that they accepted you.
-
You were just humming to a song that’s been stuck inside your head when someone calls out.
“Excuse me?” You look up and gulp. The girl looked stunning and words seem to be stuck in your mouth. It felt like everything around you was moving slowly.
“Y-yes?” God, human interaction was not a daily occurrence for you, people tended to avoid you like the plague in School and the house is quieter now that both Zale and Alsie are off to college. Both of your moms never push you to talk about anything and simply bonds with you through food and TV.
“Can you tell me where I would find this classroom?” She pushes the schedule onto you and you hum. You knew the school halls like the back of your hand, it was easier to navigate that way. You felt your heart beat faster as you give it back.
“Yeah. You should take a left there and it should be the fourth room on the right.” You point it out and she nods. She smiles at you and you feel your heart skip a beat.
“Thanks, stranger.” You nod.
“Wanda!” Someone calls out and you both turn to the newcomer. “You know where the classroom is?”
Yeah. Come on.” They both turn to leave and you stare after them. Wanda looks back and waves at you. You simply put your hand up in a lame attempt to reciprocate.
“Fuck.” You whisper softly and put your hand to your chest. You will yourself to calm down before resuming to read your book.
-
You yawn as you step inside the cafeteria. It’s been a week since you gave Wanda directions… a week since and you’ve been avoiding her. Every time she would wave her hand at you, you’ll turn to the other direction. Anytime she tries to call you, you would run the other way. It was hard since she’s practically a dog just begging for your attention… this is why you really prefer cats.
You get a tray and get your usual lunch. You’re not in the library since Miss Danvers apparently quitted and even though students usually man the counter, you’ve decided to eat like a normal person this day.
“Hey!” Wanda calls out and you felt your stomach drop. She was with the Avengers. They were the most popular group in school, even more than Seniors despite being Sophomores like you.
Tony and Vision Stark are smart, and people are saying that they’re going to take the world in a few years. With Stark Industries, they might as well do that.
Natasha Romanoff is the heir to the Romanoff Airlines, and she has been basically to everywhere and knows many languages.
Angel Garcia is one of the only people who seem to take every AP classes like you. She’s a smart Omega that you have no doubt will take the world in a storm. Some says she’s a power Omega to Natasha.
Pepper Potts is already showing signs of a great businesswoman and is already interning at Stark Industries. She’s the soulmate of Tony Stark.
Steve Rogers is another example of a power Omega, with his buff body and being the captain and quarterback of the football team.
James ‘Bucky’ Barnes is an Alpha who is also the ace of the Basketball team. He’s the Alpha of Steve Rogers.
Thor Odinson is an Alpha who can make girls wet their panties without doing anything but existing. He’s the heir to Mjolnir Constructions.
Sam Wilson is an Alpha who loves flying more than anything else, he’s father is a pilot at Romanoff Airlines.
You gulp and turn away from her. Walking to a smaller table with no one. You turn to look and see Wanda’s disappointed face. You sigh as you eat and take your phone out. You read fanfics as you eat your lunch.
It’s not like the Betas at the school have not invited you to eat with them but you preferred to be alone, talking to no one and be in your own world.
-
Wanda sighs and turns back to their table.
“Something wrong, младшая сестра?” Pietro asks and Wanda huffs. She gets her tray and was about to go to you when Sam grabs her arm.
“I wouldn’t go to Y/LN. She’s a Beta.” She stops at that and pulls away from him.
“So what? Is that a sin?” Natasha scoffs at Wanda.
“It means she’s a trying hard nobody.” Wanda glares at her and Natasha smiles.
“She’s still in most of the AP classes though.” Angel says and Tony scoffs.
“Only because her mom and sisters threatened to sue if they didn’t let her.”
“Jesus, what a spoiled brat.” Wanda’s eye twitches at that and she drags Pietro away from them.
“THOSE are you new friends?”
“Yeah? They’re the coolest people, Wands, trust me.”
“Coolest? They’re judging someone based on their second gender.”
“It’s the truth, though.” Wanda crosses her arms and Pietro shrugs. “Betas are just average people, Wands, don’t put too much faith in them.” Wanda huffs and looks at you but you were already gone.
-
You stretch your body before going back into your research. You’re inside the library after school and you’ve already texted your moms about being late.
“Is this seat taken?” You look up and see Wanda with a book of her own. You shake your head. “Do you mind?” You shake your head again and she sits down besides you. You were so focused on doing you research that you haven’t noticed that Wanda has been staring at you. You only notice that she hasn’t opened her book yet. You look to her and meet her eyes.
“Um?” You blush and Wanda looks away as she opens her book. “Is that The Flower Girl Wore Celery?” Wanda nods and you squeal lightly. “They have this? Where’d you find it?”
“In the literature section? There’s a whole lot of Children’s books there.” You sigh.
“Maybe after I finish this dreadful thing.”
“I’m Wanda by the way.” She holds out her hand and you take it while blushing.
“Right. I’m Y/N.” Wanda smiles at you and you gulp.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N.” You nod and try to focus on the research. You finally finish after an hour and you stretch your body.
“Finally done.” You say and Wanda hums. She’s already finished the Children’s book and was now reading a novel.
“Here.” She gives you the book and you smile at her.
“Thanks.” You begin reading the book.
Your phone rings just as you finish the book, you quickly answer it and it was your Mom.
“Y/N? Are you still finishing your research?”
“No. I’m already done, just going to return all the books that I’ve borrowed.”
“Okay. Your Ma is already cooking dinner.”
“Alright. I’ll finish up and go home.”
“See you later, little one.”
“Yeah. Bye, mom.” You hang up and sigh.
“You okay?” Wanda asks and you hum.
“Just a little sore.” You gather all of your things and put them into your bag.
“You’re leaving?”
“Yep. Ma’s cooking and my mom’s going to get angry if I’m not home by the time she finishes.”
“Let me help you.”
“You sure? Some of these reference books are heavy.”
“Yep.” She picks up the books that you left behind and follows you. You begin returning the books while Wanda hovers behind you. “You’ve been avoiding me.” You drop the last book in your hand and it drops on your foot. You whimper quietly and pick it up. You immediately sit and Wanda looks down you. “You okay?”
“F-fine.” You stutter and stand. You take all the remaining books from her and return them. After you return the last one you notice Wanda and blush. You look down. “Sorry.”
“For what, exactly?” She gets into your vision and you sigh.
“For avoiding you? Getting involved with me won’t do you any good.” You pick up your bag and leave the library with her.
“Why not?” You sigh.
“Because I’m a Beta. And you’re an Omega.”
“So what?” You look at her, not believing her words…
“I’m a Beta, Wanda, you’re an Omega, you should hang out with another Omega or an Alpha, not a Beta like me.” You get something from your bag and present it to her. It was a bookmark, a simple one with just words on them. “My apologies and try to read all the books written on it. They’re all pretty good.” Pietro calls out to Wanda and you both turn to him. “I have to go.” You leave her behind and Wanda sighs. She smiles as she reads the bookmark’s contents.
Strike Three
Tumblr media
Summary: Everybody makes mistakes. Your first mistake was telling your family that you were seeing someone when you were just as single as ever. Your second mistake was asking Pietro to fake a relationship to keep your family off your back. Well, maybe that wasn’t such a mistake.
Pairing: Pietro Maximoff x Reader
Word Count: 3,826
You didn’t have the best track record with relationships, you knew that. Even if you didn’t know, your family would have made damn sure to inform you. You knew they only fussed so much because they loved you, because they wanted the best for you. But they were such a headache sometimes.
You were going bonkers now. Your mother was becoming overbearing with her insistence that you needed to hurry up and settle down, and your sister was positive that she could handle the whole thing for you. She herself was engaged, so your mom agreed that she probably knew how to steer you back down the proper path.
And maybe it was the exhaustion of hearing them try to arrange a good relationship for you, or maybe the panic of listening to your sister talk about her new coworker (who was a very impressive man, don’t you know?), but for some reason, you went and said something so painfully stupid.
“I’ve been seeing someone.”
That was nearly a month ago, and your entire family was pestering you for more information. You felt bad avoiding their calls, but you were bluffing and you had barely gotten out of that conversation alive. Your sister was bringing her fiance to Christmas, so of course that meant you were expected to bring someone as well.
Avoiding conversations about your nonexistent boyfriend was growing difficult. You’d been holding out hope that you would find someone by the time the holidays rolled around, but no luck. A real boyfriend would have been ideal, but your frantic attempts at finding someone to play the part also yielded no success.
You had of course contemplated faking a breakup, but that would only further their idea that you couldn’t handle your own love life. You had dug a hole that you just couldn’t climb out of.
So with one week to your family’s Christmas gathering, you were sitting on your best friend’s bed with your head in your hands.
“I am so royally screwed, Wanda. Stevie is going to force me to go out with some accountant or one of Adam’s firefighter friends, and my mom’s gonna make me marry him. Then what?” You wailed. She laughed, finally looking up from her phone.
“Who’s dating an accountant?” Pietro’s voice made your complaints die on your tongue. He was leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his chest. With him standing there having heard about your pathetic predicament, you couldn’t help the embarrassment that coursed through your veins.
“(Y/N) apparently. If they don’t find a date to Christmas with their family.” Wanda answered him. You groaned again. “They told everyone that they have a boyfriend, and now they have nobody to show.”
“I’ll do it.” He offered so nonchalantly that it took a second to process. Then you’d sat up so fast that you got dizzy.
“For real? You’ll do it?” You clasped your hands together in a silent plea, and Pietro shrugged.
“Why not. Text me the details,” He left you shouting your appreciation after him as he made his way back to his own bedroom.
A week passed by, and you had confirmed your plus one. You kept the information you shared minimal, just giving his name and saying that you hadn’t wanted to say anything until you were sure he’d be able to come. You were nervous about the whole thing, a whole list of things that could go wrong playing on an endless loop in your head as you tapped against your steering wheel.
A few moments passed before he finally came out with his suitcase in hand. Three nights at your parents home with your sister, and your friend who you’d somehow coerced into pretending to date you seemed like a nightmare. But Pietro’s presence was calming. He sat his bag in the back and settled into the passenger seat. He had the brightest smile on his face.
He buckled in and sorted out the music as you started on the drive back to your childhood home. The quiet between the two of you lasted a while before he broke it.
“So what’s our story, cupcake?” He smirked and turned the music down, looking over as you spared him a confused glance.
“Our story?”
“Yeah, you know. How we met, how we got together. The story we’re gonna tell our kids one day.” Your stomach flipped. What were you getting yourself into?
“Um, I guess we met through Wanda,” You started, keeping your eyes on the road and gripping the steering wheel tightly so you didn’t have to focus on how strange the whole conversation felt.
“And I saved you from some drunk creep at a party,” He started. “I took you to iHop-”
“And we’ve been together ever since!” You finished with a laugh. It was mostly true, everything he mentioned had happened, just not exactly like that. It made you feel a little better knowing that you weren’t lying to your family, just...rearranging the truth.
“See, baby, we’re gonna be just fine,” The sound of the pet name flustered you much more than you were willing to admit. You rolled your eyes and cleared your throat.
“Okay. But if we’re gonna make it, there’s gotta be rules.” You warned him. He motioned for you to go on. “Rule number 1; No saying I Love You. Rule Number 2; No kissing. Not under any circumstances. And Rule Number 3; No catching feelings.”
“Easy peasy,” He chuckled. He didn’t understand why you were so paranoid. There was no way he was going to let them set you up with one of their awful picks for you. No, you deserved better than that. So he’d follow your rules, and he’d save the day if it killed him.
The rest of the drive consisted of him playing music, and the two of you joking around like nothing was any different than it had been from the beginning. But you couldn’t ignore the way your heart stuttered when he’d jokingly call you by those stupid affectionate names, or the way your cheeks burned under his attention. The tension and worry lingered, thinly veiled by his stupid knock knock hokes and classic rock.
It was mid afternoon by the time you pulled into your parents driveway. You were helping Pietro unload the boatload of presents you’d brought along for your family when your older sister came racing out of the house. She squealed and bundled you up into a tight hug like you hadn’t seen each other in years.
“You brought a boy,” She noted as she stepped back, hugging herself against the cold. You bit your lip and nodded a little.
“Stevie, this is Pietro. Pietro, my big sister Stevie.” You stepped back and glanced at Pietro. He had the most dazzling smile on his lips, one that made your stomach flutter. And Stevie certainly seemed charmed enough.
“So you really do have a boyfriend. I was beginning to think he was fake,” She teased. You and Pietro shared a look and he seemed to be barely stifling his laughter. You glared, a silent warning to keep his mouth shut. “They barely told us anything about you. I can see why they were keeping you a secret, if I didn’t have Adam I’d be stealing you away.”
“Well, good thing we’re here for a couple of days. You guys can get to know everything about each other. But can we pretty please get this stuff inside before it gets nasty out here?” You begged, readjusting the armful of gifts you’d grabbed. Pietro huffed and took them easily.
“I can get them, don’t worry.” He insisted. You hesitated a little but he was already following your sister inside. So you grabbed your bag from the back and closed the car up to join them inside.
Once you walked in, you were met by the smell of baked goods wafting out the door. You kicked your shoes off and set your bag down by the stairs. Your family had already stolen your boyfriend- fake boyfriend- by the time you slipped into the kitchen.
“Your favorite kid just got home, but all you care about is the new boyfriend, huh?” You teased, sliding up to hug your dad, then your mom. Pietro sort of liked the way it sounded when you said that. Boyfriend. He knew he wasn’t really the boyfriend, but it was a nice thought.
“You didn’t tell us he was so handsome,” Your mom chided, giving your shoulders a squeeze. Your face flared hot and you glanced at Pietro.
“Don’t worry about me. Your family is great, they’re already trying to feed me.” He smirked. Truthfully he seemed oddly comfortable in the role, but you were glad he wasn’t freaking out. Of course for the sake of not having to date someone with a stick up their ass. But the fact that he was giving you his usual laid-back grin didn’t hurt.
“Why don’t you two go up to your room and get settled in. Dinner will be done soon. (Y/N), your old room is all set up for you two.” Your mom cooed, turning back to the food she was working on. You glanced towards the stairs.
“He’s sleeping in my room? With me?” You asked, glancing between faces. You were used to sharing a room with your sister on the holidays and whatever guys you brought along were usually put into her old room. You supposed that changed now that she was properly engaged.
“Well duh. Adam’s sleeping in my room when he gets here.” Stevie answered. You gave a tiny nod. Made sense. You grabbed your bags and nodded for Pietro to follow you upstairs. He gave a smile to your family and let you lead the way to your bedroom.
Once the door was shut, you groaned and leaned back against it. Once again you were asking yourself the same question. Just what had you gotten yourself into. The idea of pretending to be in love with Pietro was one thing. But now you’d be sleeping in the same probably too-small bed for three nights. That must have been crossing some sort of line. You could sleep on the floor. It was hardwood but you were pretty sure you’d survive it. Or maybe you could take turns.
“Piet, I’m so sorry. I really didn’t think they’d put us in here together.” You sighed. Pietro was too busy perusing your room to really think too much of it. There were still a few pictures decorating the back of the door of you and your family and friends. A couple band posters were left up, and there was a stack of books in the corner. “But now that Stevie and Adam are actually engaged...I’m sorry.”
“Chill, it’s no big deal.” He sat at the edge of your bed and you nodded. It was nice seeing him settle so easily into a space that used to be strictly yours. You supposed it wasn’t so bad to share it with him.
The evening passed much faster than you had expected. The worst part was dinner. Your future brother-in-law had shown up which helped to ease some of the tension. But nevertheless your family was all over Pietro. He reached over and gave your hand a squeeze as you sat down, and you knew he’d never let you down.
Throughout the meal, he complimented your mom’s cooking. He talked about his classes, and about being on the track and field team at his college. Within minutes he had everyone eating out of the palm of his hand.
The most startling part was just the way he talked about you. The way he’d just look at you for so long that it would make your throat go dry, or the way he’d beam when asked about the two of you.
“I just knew when I first saw them that no one else could compare. I love them,” He’d said. And he’d looked at you like he never wanted to look away. Your stomach did somersaults and you’d focused on the mashed potatoes you were poking at.
Strike one.
Once dinner had come to a close, you and your sister worked at clearing the table. Your mom ushered the boys towards the living room to relax while the three of you worked on cleanup. You carried an armful of dishes into the kitchen, depositing them on the counter and drawing up some dish water, but not before flashing Pietro an apologetic smile. He just winked and slipped away.
You stared into the sink, watching the suds as they foamed up. Maybe asking Pietro along was a bad idea. Your dad was becoming pretty buddy-buddy with him, and your mother seemed to adore him already. Your fake breakup was probably going to be harder for them than it was for you.
“So,” Stevie set a last stack of dishes on the counter and smirked. “Pietro is really something, huh?”
You chewed on your lip, giving your full attention to the dishes you were scrubbing clean.
“He’s sweet. And he seems pretty in love with you,” Your mom added. And just like that your heart was leaping back into your throat. Who knew Pietro Maximoff was such a good actor? And who knew you cared so much?
“Yeah, he’s pretty great isn’t he?” You smiled, a sick sort of despair clogging in your chest. “Too good to be true,”
With the three of you working together, the cleaning went by in a jiffy. Soon enough you were settling in the living room with the others. You sat on the couch beside Pietro as they all continued their discussion.
You tried not to tense up as he pulled you closer by your waist without so much as a glance. You slowly relaxed and snuggled even closer. Your head rested against his chest like it was meant to be there, and your arm found its way around him. He was warm, that was all, and he smelled nice...You were selling it, nothing more. Just selling it, even as his fingers moved to play with your hair.
“It’s getting late. You four had a long day, we should all get some rest.” Your dad decided. And with the way you were half asleep in Pietro’s arms, you couldn’t argue.
He carefully maneuvered you off of him so he could stand up. You weren’t sure when the two of you had started holding hands, but yours was clutched firmly in his, fingers intertwined as he pulled you to your feet.
“C’mon baby, you’re sleepy.” He mumbled. You nodded and said your goodnights to everyone before letting him lead you up the stairs. You slipped into your room and dug through your bag for your sleep clothes. Once you’d pulled them out you glanced up at Pietro. He chuckled and turned his back.
Once the both of you had changed, you laid yourself down, watching and waiting for Pietro to join you. The silence as he climbed into the bed was heavy, both of you deep in your thoughts and being exceptionally careful not to cross any lines or take up too much space. You were hyper aware of every breath you took, and of every miniscule brush of skin.
You did not have feelings for him. Sure he was handsome, and considerate. Not to mention how funny he was, and the way he fit in with your family better than anyone else you’d brought home. But it was cliche. He was your best friend’s brother. He was Pietro for fucks sake. Falling for him just wasn’t in the cards.
You didn’t remember falling asleep, or moving a muscle all night, but you woke up in a mess of tangled limbs. He’d slung his arm around your waist and nestled into your chest, and you had flipped your leg over his. He was warm, and you could feel his breath tickling against your neck. That alone had your heart rate flying through the roof.
You were careful not to wake him as you slipped out of bed. He shifted and you froze until you were sure he’d fallen back into his deep slumber. You took a moment, just admiring him all sweet and conked out, his hair a mess and a tiny bit of drool slipping past his lips. Gross. But adorable.
You got ready for the rest of the day and slipped downstairs to find your mom and sister back in the kitchen working on a breakfast spread. You leaned against the door. You could hear Adam and your dad chatting from the living room.
“Want a hand?” You asked. Your mom smiled at you.
“We didn’t want to bother you guys. Where’s the other lovebird?”
You rolled your eyes, but it was too late to hide your smile.
“Still sleeping. I thought I’d let him catch a little extra shut eye.” You explained, moving to help set the table while they cooked. Nobody said much after that, just talking about all of the family gossip you’d missed out on while you were away.
Meanwhile, your mind was drifting to all the ways you could make this up to Pietro. You didn’t have the opportunity to think much on it as he came down the stairs.
He was still tired, you could tell. But his hair was wet from a shower, and he’d changed into a charmingly ugly sweater that clashed with his usual vibes. It was endearing, you couldn’t deny that. He moved to stand by you, arm wrapping around your waist and his hand landing on your hip.
“Good morning to you too, sleepyhead.” You teased. He laughed quietly, but then he pouted.
“You left me.” You smiled and leaned your head against his shoulder.
“You just looked so peaceful. Plus I wasn’t ready to deal with you yet.” You dodged away from him as he tried to grab at you, giggling and stealing away into the kitchen again to grab the platter of pancakes. Your mom and Stevie shared a knowing look that you disregarded.
Breakfast, much like dinner, had gone without a hitch. The two of you bantered the way you always did. He stole a bite from your plate, and you took a drink from his cup in retaliation. As he finished eating, his hand found yours. You gave him a puzzled look, and he simply slotted his fingers in between yours.
The conversation lasted until everyone was finished. Then everyone was ushered to the living room for the gift opening. You and Pietro were still hand in hand when your mom stopped you in your tracks. You were about to question why when Pietro guided you to face him by your hips. Your hands pressed against his - rather firm - chest.
“Mistletoe,” He whispered. Your eyes flicked up, then back to his.You were suddenly very warm. You had rules, and this was seriously not fair. You leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Both of you were fairly willing to call that good. Stevie, however, was most certainly not.
“That’s pathetic. Give him a real one. It’s Christmas, (Y/N)!” She argued. You looked at her, then back only to find that he hadn’t looked away from you.
“Yeah, baby. It’s Christmas.” He half-teased, hoping to ease some of the building tension. You thought on it, considering shattering what was left of your rule into pieces. But before your flustered mind could come to any sort of decision, you were being kissed.
You curled your hands into the front of his sweater, and melted against his lips. They were softer than you’d expected, and the kiss was much less demanding than you had thought it would be. When you pulled away, he brushed his thumb over your jaw.
“Sorry,” He whispered. You shook your head, but you still couldn’t look him in the eye. The urge to feel his lips against yours was a little too strong, and who knew what you’d do if he kept looking at you like that. You pressed your lips together like you could forget his taste.
“Don’t be.”
Strike two.
The gift exchange was exceptionally uneventful after the mistletoe ordeal. Your mind was still wading through the fog when your mom opened the last of the gifts. You were all about to sort everything out and pack your gifts with your things when Pietro spoke.
“Oh, I almost forgot something. Stay put.” He carefully freed himself from where you’d been leaning against him and headed for the stairs. You sat patiently, sharing curious looks around the room. You hadn’t talked about presents.
He only took a moment, coming back with a small box wrapped neatly in pale blue paper. You figured that was Wanda’s doing.
“Here. I don’t know if you’ll like it but…” He passed you the gift, and you smiled at him. You stared at the little box for a long moment before you finally took off the paper. You didn’t notice all the attention shifting to the two of you as you took the lid off.
“Oh my god, Pietro,” You gasped, your hand moving to cover your mouth. Inside was a stunning silver bracelet with several little charms on it. You carefully picked it up and worried each charm between your fingertips. “You shouldn’t have. I didn’t get you anything.”
“You didn’t need to. Look, this one is for that iHop trip, remember? And this one is for the when Wanda introduced us at the beach. And this one is for the butterfly exhibit you made me take you to. Oh, and this is for this trip, see?” He rambled. Tears pricked at your eyes and you giggled. You were in so deep, and the bracelet must have cost him a fortune.
“Put it on me?” You looked up at him and he nodded. There was a pause as he took the bracelet from you and fastened it around your wrist. You admired it with a lovesick grin.
“I’m in love with you.” He spoke firmly, and your heart skipped a beat.
“I love you too, Piet.” You slid your hand into his and he looked down at how nicely your hand fit into his. Like you were meant to be.
“I don’t want this to end,” He locked eyes with you again, praying that you really understood what he meant. He wasn’t sure he’d be able to build up the confidence to confess all over again if you didn’t. But he didn’t need to worry about that. You lifted your hand to cup his cheek.
“Then I’m yours forever, Maximoff.”
Strike three.
And there was so much to talk about, but in that moment none of it mattered. Not when the pretending was finally over, and you were having the best Christmas of your entire life.
Title: One Shitty Friday Night (Part 1)
Pairings: Peter Maximoff x Fem!Reader, Colossus x Shadowcat
Summary: Set after the events of Deadpool 2, you and your boyfriend Peter are on a double date downtown with your fellow X-Men Piotr Rasputin (Colossus) and Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) when Deadpool and Russell arrive unexpectedly. Chaos and violence naturally ensues, including taking down mafia henchmen, dealing with news media and paparazzi who circle in with the action, and a jealous Peter. This will be concluded in Part 2 with the mixed reactions of Logan, Charles, and Erik when you all bring Wade and Russell back home, etc. 😄
Notes: For simplicity’s sake as Piotr R. is normally called “Peter” as well, he’ll just be referred to as Colossus here.
Warnings: Some alcohol use. And it’s Deadpool, so a lot of cursing and irreverent jokes of course. This started out as just crack!fic that became actual fic that had to be split into two parts because it hit post limit. Holy cow.
Peter Maximoff x Reader Masterlist
—————————
Kitty all but snorted, trying to put her drink back down on the table before it could end up fully sideways instead as her laughter left her trembling.
Colossus sighed quietly, but you could still see the warmth in his eyes as he looked down at her before helping dab up some of her errant wine off the table with a thick cloth napkin.
It was late Friday night, and save for your semi disapproving, large and very Russian designated driver, the other three of you were now several drinks deep and a bit too loudly enjoying Peter’s retelling of the Led Zeppelin cover band debacle. You’d been there with him that night, but it never got old the way Peter told it.
“I shit you not, and this guy still keeps hitting on Jean.” Peter continued, his third nearly empty glass of craft beer still in hand. “Scott’s about to fry the dude. They’re playing Immigrant Song, and these lasers start up. All dudebros in the club go wild, and Scott tries to sneak off a warning shot. Freaking air balls it! I have to move like forty people and it still blows a damn hole in the wall. But nobody even noticed! Fake Robert Plant is screaming his heart out and everybody is just eating it up. I swear my Dad could have flown in there, cape billowing and they still would have thought it was part of the show!”
You were at risk of being elbowed in this small restaurant booth, with how animated Peter was as he spoke beside you. But you didn’t mind. The lighting was dim, possibly verging on romantic, the smell of good food from the kitchen reminded you of what was to come, and you were just enjoying time with some of your favorite people.
When Peter did finally drop his hand again though, the not so subtle movements of it then up your thigh also promised something much more personal later tonight. Maybe it was the warmth from the mixed drinks you were also nursing, but you shifted your leg a little, pushing even more into his touch under the table. Your movement just signaled your silent agreement to him that tonight would be a perfect night to be throwing clothes on the floor as soon as you got back to your shared room at the mansion.
It’d been a long, tiring week after all. Helping teach classes during the day and training your ass off in the danger room every night, you didn’t think it was unreasonable to cut loose a bit now.
Even Colossus was chuckling a little at last, but the big guy was always softest around Kitty. You in particular had been one of her biggest supporters when she’d first confessed her attraction towards him. You’d noticed his bashfulness with her as well, and all the little glances he’d given her long before she’d ever worked up the courage to ask him out.
But that seemed so long ago now, it was hard to really remember a time when they weren’t together. Almost as long as you and Peter really.
You glanced up as the waiter came back by to check on you all, saying your food would be out in a few more minutes and asking if anyone needed more drinks.
“Oh gosh, we’re really running up the tab right?” Kitty smiled.
You could see the little bit of relief in Colossus’ expression as she waved the waiter off though, her current wine glass still nearly full. “I’m fine for now, thank you.”
Peter glanced at you and you nodded as well. A buzz was fine, but you didn’t want to be climbing the mansion stairs full on drunk tonight. “I’m good.”
As the waiter left, your conversation got a little more subdued. You leaned into Peter somewhat, hip to hip in the booth as he put his arm around your waist.
Kitty was now talking about a movie she thought you should all go see next weekend if you could. You were just in the process of agreeing as you’d wanted to see it too, when Colossus suddenly went stock still, a look of real surprise on his face.
Kitty evidently noticed as soon as you did, you both staring up at him in unison.
“Do not turn around,” He instructed to you and Peter, eyes locked on something behind you.
Of course when told to do one thing, it would take everything in Peter’s willpower to not do the opposite. But to his credit he actually did hesitate. “Do we need to be dodging something? I mean, I can move us if I need to, man. You just gotta let me know.” Peter stated.
“I don’t think he’s seen us yet. Please do not draw attention.” Colossus responded, still frustratingly vague to the rest of you.
But he hadn’t metaled up yet, his skin still entirely human looking. So on the plus side, it couldn’t be someone he thought an immediate physical threat.
You glanced to Kitty for some hope of explanation as she was seated beside Colossus and facing the same direction. But she was too short in comparison to him, and couldn’t see all the way across the booth dividers as easily as he could. “Well who is it?” Kitty demanded quietly.
But you heard an impatient voice carry over clearly from the nearby restaurant entrance.
“Look, you know he’s here. I know he’s here. Don’t make me leave you guys a bad Yelp review. I will totally Karen that shit up. I’m just here for him.” A pause. “...And some of the cannolis. God, I love those things. You went a little scarce on the filling last time though. Don’t make me add that to the Yelp review.”
You heard the hostess stutter, fear evidently building. “Sir, firearms are not allowed in this restaurant. The owner, he, I...I can’t.”
There was a loud sigh from the man, the distinct sound of a gun cocking, and then all hell broke loose.
“WADE!” Colossus screamed, your entire table flipping as he stood up, metal now encasing him in this even larger form.
Abruptly you were now standing back by the entrance yourself. Peter had one arm around you, and the other around Kitty as he let you both go just as instantly, having just brought you there before he disappeared again.
That little flare up of vertigo from the speed and sudden stop didn’t mix well with the alcohol, and she and you both stood there another moment, queasy as Peter appeared again with an armful of guns.
It would have been comical as he clearly had no idea where to put them now, but everyone else that had still been in the restaurant was already screaming and running for the doors in a panic.
The owner of the multiple guns couldn’t care less about the crowd however, only turning his full focus to the lot of you then in exasperation.
“Oh my God, you anti second amendment, mother fuckers. I’m in the middle of a job here!”
“You can’t just point guns at innocent people, Wade! We have talked about this many times!” Colossus retorted, all seven foot of him now standing over Deadpool with paternal like annoyance.
“For fuck’s sake, it’s called a threat. I wasn’t going to kill her you overprotective, asshat! Now Giovanni is probably holed up in some pussy ass panic room, or he’s already ghosted me out the back door! And yes, I know that is such a stereotypical mob boss name and totally sounds like the Pokemon villain. Fuck him and his always trying to take Pikachu! He had a talking cat the whole time who just wanted his love, but no, got to have the electric rat. Fuck!”
“Language, Wade!” Colossus scolded. “There is still a child present!”
And honestly in all this insanity, that was the first time you actually noticed Russell also still standing there. Everyone else in the room had now fled out into the street.
“I’m fucking fourteen,” The boy replied defiantly. “And yeah, we were working!”
“Daddy and angrier metal daddy are just talking, hon.” Deadpool commented, waving a hand.
There was a small gust of air beside you and you looked to Peter knowingly. Wade’s guns were now all on a table, though intentionally still distant from your current position. “So I just made a couple laps.” Peter spoke up. “The cops are already coming, and there’s still a bunch of guys in the basement. They were opening some crates, probably getting weapons? I didn’t know if we were taking them out yet though. I didn’t touch anything. But is Giovanni like a big dude with gold rings and all?”
“I’m telling you besides the drug and human trafficking, it’s practically more criminal how much he sets back Italian-American stereotypes. They are an honest, manicotti making people goddamn it.” Deadpool answered.
You really were starting to regret the amount of drinks you’d had. If you’d known tonight was going to be anything like this, you would have gladly stuck to water. Your head was already trying to throb a little as you finally spoke. “So, does this guy actually have warrants out on him? If the cops come, they’re all going to end up shooting each other most likely. Can we just defuse this by giving him up to them?”
“I would say we assist to prevent unnecessary bloodshed, if that is the case, yes. I’m sure the Professor would prefer that.” Colossus agreed.
“Freaking goody two shoes, all of you.” Wade sighed. “But he has to get arrested or dead okay? I don’t get paid otherwise.” He paused though, then looking back up to Colossus before suddenly elbowing him. As if he’d even really feel that. “And hello rudeness, are you not going to introduce me to your little girls night out club here before we go bust some heads in a gratuitous X-Force/X-Men hotties crossover?”
“X-Force?” Kitty asked, sounding as already over this as could be.
“Well, we are a little empty on the roster at the moment. Some...unfortunate parachuting incidents. Wind advisory that day. You know how it goes.” Deadpool shrugged.
By her expression, no. She did not know how it went.
But the sooner you started, the sooner this could be over. Colossus motioned to each of you in turn, “Peter, (Y/N), and Kitty. These are my teammates and friends.” He nodded back to Deadpool, “And this is Wade.” And then to the boy. “And Russell.”
Of course you already knew who they both were. It’d been a bit of a scandal really, with the whole Essex House fiasco and the deaths that had occurred there. Fair or not, a lot of the blame had ended up on Juggernaut the second time around though you thought. Which is why Charles hadn’t had to deal with too much bad press in the aftermath.
You could not let this become another Essex House situation for the X-Men though. You were about to speak up about heading to the basement together and Deadpool staying out of your way so you all could neutralize everyone without any fatal hits, when he gasped dramatically, making you freeze again.
“Kitty!? Like an actual girl named Kitty? Oh my God, this whole time I thought you were his cat!” He hit his own leg, laughing. “I’m thinking, holy shit this guy loves his goddamn cat, but who am I to judge you know? I had a dog named Mr. Shuggums. Cutest little fucker.” He took a breath. “I miss him.”
“Wade.” Colossus groaned. “We do not have all night.”
Okay, so there was still something sweet about Colossus gushing about his girlfriend even to this manic mercenary. But no kidding, this show really needed to get on the road here.
“Guys, why don’t we just let Peter disarm them all, Colossus, you grab Giovanni, and Kitty and I deal with anyone who still resists? No one has to get hurt, and then it’s all done, easy.”
“And then we go find somewhere else to eat. Killing me here. I wanted that damn calzone and tiramisu.” Peter sighed, pulling his goggles back down over his eyes again. “More guns coming up.”
He disappeared at once, but when he didn’t return immediately as you were so accustomed to, you and Kitty exchanged a nervous look.
And after only another few seconds, your instincts told you something had definitely gone wrong.
“Is the basement directly beneath us?” You asked Deadpool sharply, already reaching out a hand to Kitty. Your adrenaline was starting, all good feelings gone as it was now time to act.
But you’d worked together long enough now, you didn’t have to explain your plan to her or Colossus.
Yet when the previously mouthy merc had no instant response, just staring at you in thought, it was clear he hadn’t done any recon beforehand at all. He’d literally just walked in here and expected everything to work out.
“Perfect.” Kitty said sarcastically, glancing quickly to Colossus as she took your hand. “You’re our backup, dear, in case our vertical entrance doesn’t work out. Come find us.”
“Always.” He said, already turning, his weight shaking the floor as he ran to look for any stairway downward while you and Kitty dropped straight through the floor.
It was surely a risk of its own to use her phasing ability so blindly as this. You could end up in a too small crawlspace, in underground piping, a sewer system, anything really. She’d make sure not to go solid until it was safe, as to not impale or bury you alive of course. But if Peter were in trouble, there was no time to waste by ending up at a dead end and having to go back up and try again.
You’d held your breath, as there was no way for you to process oxygen either as your lungs and every other part of you shifted through the other matter. It was darkness and insulation, pipes, and conduit that flashed by at first. But in the fractions of seconds that it took to fall, you had already powered up. The white light of your energy field overtaking your body, shielding you both as you did fall into a larger open area.
It was even darker than the restaurant above, all concrete and dampness. The glow from your body was the brightest thing there as much more men than you’d expected all turned in surprise. You saw the glint of multiple gun barrels now, but the thing you wanted to see most was Peter’s silver hair as you’d scanned the area for him instantly.
There was a stairwell in the distance. He was laying near the bottom of it. But you had no time to be shocked or afraid, only anger swelled as you released Kitty’s hand, making you solid again. “I’ll get him.” Was all you said. Letting her know to protect herself as you flew to him. Bullets couldn’t hurt her if she was ready for them. But Peter would be defenseless without one of you now, and by means of your power of flight you were the faster of you and her.
The man closest to Peter had a different kind of gun though you realized. Something you didn’t recognize at all as he aimed at you. You splayed your palms to create an energy shield in front of you as he pulled the trigger.
It didn’t make a sound though. But everything around you instantly distorted as pain exploded through you. You saw five or six of him now, as your feet hit the ground, unable to concentrate enough to fly then. But even as you stumbled, realizing your shielding wasn’t fully stopping whatever that weapon was doing, you were still able to expand your shield rapidly, hitting the man with the force of a car in your pain and sending him flying into a nearby wall, the weapon clattering to the ground lightly against his now limp body.
But you still felt like you were going to puke.
“Kill them you idiots!” Someone screamed.
You dropped yourself, laying over Peter just as quickly, grateful to feel him breathing as you focused through the pain to extend a shield around you both as the gunfire started.
“Bitch!” Another man yelled as Kitty just walked unharmed through all the flying bullets towards you.
“Shadowcat actually,” She said, skilled enough in her powers to choose what was solid and what wasn’t. Just the outside of her fist being all she needed to crush his nose in one punch with a squirt of blood, and only the end of her foot used as she swept her leg after to knock his own right out from under him.
Even among your own team, sometimes people could forget that that petite Jewish girl was about as skilled a martial artist as anyone could be.
“Babe?” You heard against your ear though, glancing back down to Peter. There was real relief even in the chaos as you saw him smile up at you.
He talked back against your ear in the noise as Kitty continued to utterly wreck the guys around you. “I fucked up a little, right? That gun...they already had it going, aimed at the door when I came back, a trap...I think I hit every stair on the way down...I still see like three of you right now.”
“Ditto.” You breathed.
And then there was another even louder noise as the remnants of a door also came flying down the stairs. Colossus barreled in behind it like a stampeding elephant, Deadpool right behind him as they leapt over the both of you and joined the fray.
“We found the basement!” Deadpool announced gleefully, swords swinging. “Don’t think they’d even locked the door back actually, but fuck if big Russki doesn’t love a dramatic entrance!”
For a moment you thought all your words about at least trying not to kill had been for nothing, thinking Deadpool was going to chop these men into literal pieces. But even as blood sprayed left and right, you realized he was just cutting tendons. The men then unable to hold their guns, unable to stand at all as he crippled each he reached in succession.
It was still completely horrific, but hell, how much could you really ask for from someone like him? Especially when you yourself had slammed that one man into a concrete wall as if he were a ragdoll. You glanced over anxiously for a moment, glad to see him shifting a little, but still crumpled exactly where you’d thrown him. He was alive, a small relief at least.
Obviously the other gunmen hadn’t had a prayer either though once you’d all been down there together.
Colossus already had a still cursing Giovanni slung over one shoulder as you were now helping Peter back up and trying not to step in all the blood as you all walked over to Kitty.
“What a mess...very interesting weapon though,” She spoke of that odd gun that’d been used on you and Peter, it now in her hands as she turned it one way and then another examining it. “I’m bringing this back with us. The police don’t need anything like this. Hank and I can figure out how it works. And how to defend against it hopefully before we run into another one of these out in the field.”
“It seems this Giovanni was more a threat than expected,” Colossus said, giving the still squirming man an unhappy look, before looking back to you all. “Are you alright, Peter?”
“I’m still hungry.” Peter grumbled, an arm over your shoulder to still help stabilize him as his other hand went to his head as if it were pounding. He also had some bruising starting on his face, no doubt from his tumble down the stairs. “I wouldn’t have drank so damn much if I’d known we weren’t going to eat...”
With the speed of his metabolism, that alcohol likely was hitting him pretty hard now on his already empty stomach.
“We should turn this guy over and get out of here.” You agreed. Though you didn’t feel so hot yourself. Still a little nauseous from whatever that weapon did to your senses. But at least you weren’t seeing triple of everything anymore.
“Hold it, girl scouts!” Deadpool piped up, chipper as ever as he grabbed something at Giovanni’s neck before any of you could think to stop him.
The man choked just a moment though, before a piece of metal snapped off into Wade’s hands. It was a necklace, with a symbol of some sort. You saw just a glimpse of it before Deadpool pocketed it. “No proof of finishing the job, no payday for DP. No payday, then no liquor, no coke, no hookers. Am I right?”
It was too difficult to tell when if ever he was serious, and you all chose to ignore his comment, starting back up the stairs. The odd sounds of bullet fragments falling back down the stairwell caught Peter’s attention though as he gave a grossed out look to Wade for a moment.
The now impact deformed bullets were starting to work themselves back out of all the bloody holes in Deadpool’s costume. You knew where you’d seen that before of course, but Peter was the only one that actually said it aloud.
“Damn, you and Logan would be a pair.”
There was a pause, and you could swear even with the mask, you thought you saw Wade’s cheekbones move in a way that signaled he was outright grinning from ear to ear. “At least someone gets it. He still won’t return my calls though. Such a diva lately.”
Once you did get to the top of the stairs, you only found a very agitated Russell standing there, Wade’s guns in his arms. “You took long enough, the cops are outside you know. I’m not going back to jail for you!”
“Cool your tater tots, kid.” Deadpool responded lazily, in no hurry, but grabbing the weapons back to holster them all regardless.
“I could have finished this faster! I would have fried their asses!” Russell argued.
“You would have been shot. Fire does not stop bullets.” Colossus only answered matter of factly.
Russell made a face, but Wade cut him off before he could say any more.
“Now now, listen to metal daddy. No sass. And actually, I think there’s something we should talk about, champ. X-Force is way more badass and all, but we don’t exactly have a training and junior member tier yet. Maybe later. You might want to think about riding home with these guys and checking their setup out. I don’t have any powers myself to relate to you like that, except me being very shootable, devastatingly charming, sexy, smart, and a competitive level Skee-Ball player...”
Deadpool sighed, continuing. “But these guys have a Danger Room. Which is totally not a sex dungeon, yeah I was bummed about that too. But they could let you unleash that school shooter level teenage angst and burn all the shit you wanted until you really figure out your powers.”
Russel bristled. “I’m not a school shooter you prick! And you always said the X-Men were neutered dweebs and-”
Wade coughed loudly, ushering Russell forward suddenly as you all continued to walk. “Hah, kids. Such darlings. Mishear everything don’t they?”
Colossus only answered without offense though. “The offer is still open, Russell. Though you have said no before. The Professor would never turn down a young mutant in need.”
It was Peter who surprised you a little, a smirk on his face as he contributed. “Freaking sweet house too, man. Xavier’s loaded. Big screen TV, a pool, basketball court, your own room, supersonic jet. Bunch of cute girls as well, or cute boys, you know whatever you’re into.”
“I’m not gay.” Russell huffed, but actually looked to be listening now as he didn’t immediately spit back with a sarcastic retort.
Though you gave Peter a weird look and he just grinned. “What? I stayed for you didn’t I, babe? Just saying. I wasn’t exactly on board with the whole team thing before that either. I know where he’s coming from is all.”
“It’s up to you, Russell.” Kitty said more diplomatically, before returning to the matter at hand. “We’re parked at that parking garage two blocks south. Everyone meet back there, Colossus and I will hand this guy over to the cops out front. The rest of you, I’m sure there’s got to be some emergency exit you can sneak out of. Probably better to split up actually. Less attention.”
Just as Kitty had suggested, Deadpool and Russell went out one way, and you and Peter another. You came out onto another street behind the restaurant. And you’d just finally started to relax again, Peter taking your hand in his own and walking away like an honest to God normal couple for once, just out on the town together before you noticed an oddly placed white van with distinct lettering on it.
Peter saw it too just as the light from a camera hit you both.
“Hell,” You breathed.
“Want to run?” He asked seriously.
“Too late, they’d just film us ditching, and say we had something to hide.”
Your headache was returning in full force you thought as you steeled yourself, seeing the reporter now in a full sprint towards you.
“It’s Quicksilver! And (your codename)! The X-Men are here!” A woman shouted.
As you walked closer to the news van, the camera flashes only increased. It looked like a small group of paparazzi had also camped out here, hoping for this exact result. How did word travel so damn fast?
“Marcia Fletcher, WAFN nightly news!” She introduced herself at once, her camera man there just as quickly, huffing a little from the run as he got you both in focus.
You could see the lights on on his camera as she shoved her microphone in front of you and Peter. “You’re on live coverage of the Ruffiano’s restaurant shootings with WAFN. Is it true that Giovani Marcello was apprehended here tonight by the X-Men? And how did you know he was here when he’s been on Interpol’s most wanted list for four years?”
You knew without looking at him that Peter was happily deferring the speaking role to you now as you tried not to look rattled. You attempted to think of what Charles would and wouldn’t want you to say, even with the pain in your head and lingering nausea. “We didn’t know who was here. We were in the area and saw people running and went to help, that’s all.” You lied.
“But the reports of gunshots, witnesses also said Deadpool had drawn a gun on a restaurant employee and Colossus was seen inside. Is Deadpool now affiliated with the X-Men again? Did he shoot anyone?”
“Deadpool is not affiliated with the X-Men. Colossus was here tonight, but he only would have been defending anyone he thought in danger. Deadpool did not shoot anyone.” You tried to keep to short truths that time.
“But then why was Deadpool there? Should people really believe it would be a coincidence that the X-Men and Deadpool would be at the same incidence at one time if not working together?”
“Well you’re here aren’t you? Are you affiliated with us?” You replied before you could stop yourself, though still restraining the annoyance you really wanted to put into that statement. “Trouble attracts a crowd.”
Peter made a sound, a restrained laugh you knew. But before the reporter could blurt out another question, one of the now growing number of paparazzi called out, “(Your codename), hey look here! Is it true you and Quicksilver are still dating!?”
You knew better than to be baited, humoring any of them just made it worse. They were like piranhas. But Peter couldn’t help it, turning to look as so many cameras flashed. His arm slid around you protectively. “Why wouldn’t we be, dude?” He called back.
“Are you saying the photos of (your codename) and Gambit were before you two reconciling?”
It took every ounce of your self control to not respond, but oh God did you want to. It was the mission in Tanzania. You knew it. You, Storm, and Gambit. Peter had stayed in the U.S. for that one as it’d been the holidays and his Mom had wanted both he and Wanda over for some time together.
After the mission was over, the three of you had ended up on one of the beautiful Tanzanian beaches for a single day. Just a single day to yourselves.
You’d had the audacity to wear a revealing bathing suit though and you and Remy had been photographed together, him shirtless of course because it was a goddamn beach. And laughing and smiling because, surprise, you were friends! And they’d cropped Ororo out in all the closeups for complete loss of context.
It’d been a thing in some of the tabloids for a while, but you really thought that had finally blown over. Of course if anyone asked Remy, he liked to play coy on the whole subject to keep up his God’s gift to all men and women sex symbol status.
“Peter, let’s just go,” You whispered in his ear, sure anything else said would only make things worse.
But you could read him all too well, and when he turned his face to look back at you, you already knew what he was going to do. You didn’t try to stop him, because never would you humiliate him on live television with any type of rejection, but oh, you would never live this one down. Never.
He kissed you hard. And there was nothing fake about it, honestly the kind of kiss usually reserved for your bedroom as you felt heat rising up in you. The camera flashes clicking over and over as you could still taste the alcohol he’d drank before.
When he finally released you again, you gasped a little. He gave the photographers a ‘fuck you’ look, before speaking just to you. “Now we can go.”
“Fly or run?” You breathed.
“Fly please. I’m still about half out of it.” He admitted.
You powered up to some surprised and excited sounds from the crowd. Your whole body glowing white again in the energy you emitted.
“Wait, aren’t you going to stay and talk to the police!?” The reporter shouted.
“They know where to find us if they need us.” You answered, extending your energy field around Peter, before you took off vertically, making sure to get sideways over the rooftops as soon as you could though to breakup their camera angles and finally give you privacy again at last.
You landed gently atop the parking garage only a few moments later, letting him go again as you powered back down.
“Are you mad at me?” He asked, just taking your hand again though.
“No.” You said truthfully. “But, I have no idea what we’ve really just done. We still have to go home...home where the Professor always watches the 10:00 news with his late night tea.”
Peter sighed, only half joking. “We could always go stay with my Mom for a while?”
You just moved in closer, pulling him against you as you laid your head on his shoulder. “We’ll survive, babe. Somehow we always do.”
“I think that says more about you than me though. Pretty sure I’d be face down in a ditch somewhere already if it weren’t for you.”
You chuckled, wrapping your arms around his neck then before raising your head back up to kiss him once more. Much softer this time, and even longer than his jealous little display a few minutes ago.
He made one of his little noises of contentment, hands sliding down to squeeze your butt through the thin pants you were wearing. As he pulled your hips tighter against him, he broke the kiss enough to speak regretfully. “I really was hoping to get lucky tonight...”
“Same.” You smiled. It had been a while. Mostly from you both being so tired by the time you finally got in bed. Passing out on each other had more been the norm the past couple weeks. “We get some food in you, and see where things go?”
“Gross! Get a room!”
You startled at the sudden shouting, having wholly thought yourselves alone up here in the moonlight.
Peter rolled his eyes, yelling back at Russell, “Kid, we have one! And we’d already be back there by now if it wasn’t for your little mafia hunting shenanigans!”
You looked over to see Deadpool and Russell both standing in the doorway to the parking garage stairs.
Wade whistled, leaning back against the doorframe. “Way to take down that Marcia Fletcher a notch! I always found her too uppity to be honest. I think she’s still butt hurt that they didn’t give her the lead anchor spot when Carl Sanderson moved to the early bird morning show. Tanya Meyer on the 5:00 news though, that’s my girl.”
You blinked. “How...how do you know-” It was literally minutes ago, it would have taken them just this long to walk here.
Deadpool lifted up his cell phone. “Facebook live, bitches. Don’t you follow WAFN? The recipes they post from Saturday morning cooking with Pat are always delish.” He looked back down at the phone though, happily reading. “Hah! Peggy Fredrickson from Brewster, New York thinks Marcia’s contouring and drawn on eyebrows are getting worse. Fire your makeup person, Marcia.” He tapped something on the screen. “Like comment! Oh, and Michael Morris from Ridgefield says who wouldn’t do Remy LeBeau. Damn, Michael, all out and proud on main.”
Peter let go of you, taking an annoyed breath. But then looking back to you. “Please let me at least prank Remy, something, anything.”
“But he didn’t do anything.” You replied, though only more stressed now that this was already blowing up on social media.
“Exactly! He should have at least denied it! But no, Mr. cool Cajun can’t admit that you’d actually choose me over him.”
“Hey now, I think you’re looking at this the wrong way, Quickie.” Deadpool interjected. “There’s always the ménage à trois option. I mean he’s French right? And Michael from Ridgefield is just spitting truth. Who wouldn’t want to do Remy LeBeau? He could shuffle my cards anytime.”
“You guys are so fucking weird.” Russell groaned. “Can we go find your damn car now?”
But you didn’t move yet, still looking fully at Peter. “Wade’s just trying to get under your skin. We all know how Remy is. He’d flirt with a piece of cardboard if it suited him. It doesn’t mean anything to him.” You recognized that Gambit was physically attractive of course, you had eyes too after all. But that was the only extent of it. You loved Peter. Not to mention you wouldn’t at all want to get on Rogue’s bad side. She and Gambit were tumultuous enough without someone else being added to the mix.
“This is adorable, really. But I did bring ‘good job team for sending a little girl selling, gentrification funding, pencil dick mob boss to butt fucking federal prison’ cannolis. Want some?” Deadpool offered, lifting up a large takeout box you somehow hadn’t noticed before.
Peter’s shoulders dropped a little, still heavily annoyed though eyeing the box. “So does this mean you’re coming back with us too?”
Wade shrugged, “The kid doesn’t know you guys. What kind of daddy would I be if I didn’t at least go and make sure he actually wanted to stay in your little mutant commune before I ditch him there?”
“You aren’t my damned dad.” Russell said, though almost sounding too tired to argue further at this point. He reached up, taking a cannoli from the box and biting into it as he started to walk back down the stairwell. “What floor is the car on?”
“Just one down from here, you already passed it. Black SUV,” you answered. Colossus and Kitty must not have been here yet if Wade and Russell had made it all the way to the top deck without finding them.
Peter grabbed your hand again, walking with you to the doorway as he grabbed three cannolis out the box begrudgingly with his other hand. He passed one off to you, before biting into the other two in quick succession.
And you only had a moment to see all the thick scarring under Wade’s mask as he lifted it just enough to start eating one himself, before turning to follow you both out and down the stairwell.
