2023 writing list

Not exactly a New Years resolution, as those don't often pan out, but more of a personal checklist. Please feel free to stroke my ego by asking me about any of these. If I remember I'll update with links as I finish.

I did not expect to start writing again in 2022, and the fact that I did is completely because of Sandman and the amazing tumblr fandom for it. So. Things I would like to write/finish in 2023:

1.) Black Unicorn AU: it has languished while I put off rereading the source material and write other things. I know HOW it ends but I don't like the ending scene I've written and until I do it won't click. But no one else is going to write this one so we'll keep working on it.

2.) He Would Not Say That: which has expanded to the point where I'm overwhelmed by it and overthinking the morality of fucking your boyfriend's dream subjects, which is a buzzkill because it was supposed to be very un serious sex comedy. Hob would give Chidi Anagonye a massive stomach ache if I could justify the crossover.

3.) Crack one-shot: Come Live With Me and Be My Cat - a spin-off of love to Avelera’s amazing fic and inspired by that great picture that @twottie-m8 did of Hob throwing Cat!Dream at the Corinthian

4.) Some kind of SandOmens side piece PROBABLY attached to Least of These so we can have a good fun "you built a what to whom" reaction from Aziraphale and Crowley.

4a.) The Next Level - wrote this instead, a very soft fluffy little piece where Dream asks Aziraphale and Crowley for advice on being the type of friends who hold hands. We'll see if that scratched my itch to write SandOmens.

5) Actually, let’s throw The Least of These on this list. Didn’t include it before because I started it in Nov/Dec, but it was SUPPOSED to be a soft smutty 5k and now it is 25k and is more plot than smut, and has taken up more of my time than I anticipated

6) As of yet untitled longfic #1: if published will be two separate works, part one a setup of "Dream shows up every couple of years for sex, but in a different disguise every time because he thinks he's smart" and part two is your standard fishbowl rescue/let's rewrite season 1, because we like them. I want this to be better than I feel I'm capable of writing but I keep plonking away at it, and it's 16k words already, which is too much for me to give up on.

7) A Secret Third Thing: (not actual title) where I come to terms with the fact that in killing off Morpheus by having him put half his soul in the Corinthian I accidentally made an OC that I'm kind of interested in.

8) Honeymoon piece: I don't want to write the wedding, that sounds exhausting, but Hob wants to honeymoon somewhere he hasn't been where they can just be themselves, and Dream takes him to a little side project he, Delirium and Destruction started a few centuries back: a friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead while everyone pretends to sleep. The King of Nightmares is a minor celebrity in Nightvale, and he gets to show off his new husband. Silly.

8a) I did, in the end, write a wedding, if a rather hasty one, so we have: Then maybe, maybe, maybe you'd stay which was written almost entirely in 72 hours in a tiny hotel room in a foreign country 6000 miles from home, after my husband's passport got stolen 15 hours before we were supposed to fly home, thus turning the end of our dream vacation into nearly a literal nightmare. Apparently I stress write. You learn things when you travel.

9) The Financial Crimes of Hob Gadling, only of I can think of a way to do it that shows off my special interest without publishing a "How to crime" guide.

10) Longfic #2, working title "All the Things That Lie Undone" - loosely based off the plot of a favorite out of print smutty historical romance novel. Basic plotline is worked out, but so far all that's written so far is the first two chapters and one sex scene.

11) Longfic #3 which has eclipsed all desire to work on Longfic #2, which will hopefully be my Centennial Husbands Big Bang entry.

12) Anything I want, there are no rules, I have permission to have fun and make myself feel happy.

touch and go: ch 1

A/N: so having a bunch of wips means you ignore them and post something new, right? anyway I’ve had this idea for an origins and last life crossover superhero au fic for a while now, and in a burst of inspiration i wrote it! well, two chapters of it. the second chapter you’ll probably get in a week or maybe sooner depending on my patience (and how much of this i manage to write before i lose steam). also this fic believes in he/they scott and she/her ranboo supremacy :D (their origins characters can fit so much gender in them) anyway, enjoy!

Warnings: violence, injury, moral dilemmas

Summary: Jimmy is just trying to live a peaceful life in Orilast City. However once he discovers he has superpowers, his whole life is thrown into chaos when powerful (and therefore dangerous) people want to get him on their side and use him for his powers. Meanwhile Scott is an up-and-coming hero from the city's famed Hero Alliance. But when an encounter with an unpredictable new super turns into a media uproar, his life becomes far more complicated as they navigate what it truly means to be a hero.

Jimmy always joked that his superpower was being really, really unlucky. Which definitely applied to this exact moment, as he was currently hurtling towards the ground at an alarming speed.

It had just been an ordinary day. He nearly spilled hot coffee all over himself on the daily coffee run for the office. Then he tried his best to sort through his paperwork, but he ended up dropping the folder and sent papers flying everywhere. And then when he finally made some headway on getting things organized and starting on what he was supposed to be working on, the building shook with the impact of a nearby hero and villain fight. His coworkers did the smart thing and ran- but Jimmy? Well, curiosity killed the cat for a reason.

So here he was, falling to the ground after another rumble had shaken the building, causing Jimmy to lose his balance and tumble out of a shattered window. Figures this is how he would go.

But then there was a streak of purple and blue light, and he was cradled against someone's chest. The world seemed to come to a standstill as Jimmy’s soft brown eyes met purple ones swirling with galaxies. Their hair was purple too, bits of lights like twinkling stars clinging to the strands. Stars dotted the stranger's cheeks like freckles, and a charming grin spread over their face.

And then they were plummeting to the ground again. A scream ripped from Jimmy’s throat as he clung tight to the stranger. But then they landed, the stranger landing on their feet and sending cracks spiderwebbing across the sidewalk with the impact.

"Take it easy, you’re safe now," the stranger said, before gently depositing Jimmy onto the ground. Jimmy finally got a good look at the rest of the stranger. Galaxies swirled along their skin, at least from their fingertips to their forearms. They wore a light blue overcoat with gold trim with a white shirt tucked into black pants, as well as a gold sash around their waist.

"Who are you?" Jimmy got out, not recognizing him as one of Orilast City's heroes.

"Call me Starboy," he said with another dazzling grin. With that, he leapt into the air with a burst of starlight, going back into the fray.

Jimmy watched with awe as Starboy fought alongside some more familiar faces that Jimmy knew- Crowfather, the Inch, Warp, and Blazeboy- against the feared Southlanders. The Southlanders were a dangerous ragtag group of rogues whose members shifted a bit, sometimes allying with the equally dangerous Fairy Fort, but the usual four were there: Pyroshadow, Mirage, the Detonator, and Scarletwing. Pyroshadow was a demon creature from another realm who excelled with technological devices as well as fire and shadow magic. Mirage could slip in and out of reality, showing up in one place only to vanish and appear in another. The Detonator could create explosives out of anything he touched. And their leader- Scarletwing- well, frankly he just seemed to be a guy with bright red parrot wings. But everyone feared him anyway.

Starboy was currently locked in combat with the dreaded Scarletwing. The villain was deft, gracefully swooping out of the way of Starboy’s blasts. It soon became apparent that the effort of keeping up the barrage was tiring Starboy out- and Scarletwing realized this with a wicked grin. He abruptly darted forward, arms wrapping around Starboy’s waist as he dived down, driving both of them through the crumbling wall of the very office building Starboy had just saved Jimmy from.

Scarletwing rose from the rubble. Starboy didn't. A satisfied grin broke out over Scarletwing's face, and he poised to strike a final blow-

"No!" Jimmy shouted, hand outstretched- and a burst of blue light hit Scarletwing right in the shoulder. The villain flew, hitting the rubble with a sickening thump. Jimmy stared at his hand in shock.

"Ugh, another starborne?" an irritated voice said behind him, paired with a hand on his shoulder. Jimmy whirled around to see Warp, jostling her hand from his shoulder as he did so.

"What- but I'm not a- what did you call me?" Jimmy frowned, confused. Hadn't his rescuer referred to himself as "Starboy" not "Starborne?"

Before Warp got a chance to answer, a chunk of rubble came hurtling towards them. There wasn't time to move or even scream, and Jimmy squeezed his eyes shut and braced for the inevitable…

But nothing came. Jimmy slowly opened his eyes, and found himself standing a few feet away from the rubble. Warp was stood on the other side of it, her mouth dropped open in shock.

"How did you- you teleport?! But that's my thing!" Warp whined, stomping her foot a little.

Suddenly, Warp's eyes widened and her pouty demeanor vanished into concern as her gaze locked on something behind Jimmy. Someone grabbed him from behind, an iron grip on his arms.

"Neat trick you pulled- maybe we should chat about that," a voice said gruffly- Mirage. Jimmy squirmed in his grip, panic coursing through his veins. He didn't know what was going on, he just wanted to go home-

And then energy flooded into Jimmy. He heard a sharp gasp from Mirage, his grip loosening- and Jimmy’s world suddenly tilted into light and color, flowing past him in an endless stream- until everything went dark.

Jimmy woke up in his sister's living room. Which was strange, because he didn't remember spending the night at Lizzie’s, nor did he remember doing so on the floor as opposed to the couch.

Then Jimmy registered the dust from the building rubble in his hair, as well as Lizzie and her husband, Joel, looking down at him with concern. Jimmy squeezed his eyes shut again with a groan, hoping that this was a dream.

“Oh no you don’t- Jimmy, what happened? How are you in my living room?!” Lizzie demanded, grabbing Jimmy by the shoulders and shaking him a little. Jimmy groggily opened his eyes, giving a defeated sigh. Not a dream, then.

“You think I know?! One minute I’m in the middle of a fight between Crowfather’s team and the Southlanders, and the next I woke up here!” Jimmy replied, voice a little frantic.

“You were in a fight?!” Lizzie asked, voice shrill. Joel soothingly patted her arm, noticing Jimmy’s wince at her tone.

“Well, I wasn’t exactly in the fight. It just sorta crashed into the office. And then I fell from the building- but I was saved by some new hero, Starboy…” Jimmy trailed off, thinking about the purple-haired hero, and how he sparkled and shimmered in the light- and then he remembered how he had gotten taken down by Scarletwing, and Jimmy felt sick. He had no idea if Starboy survived or not.

“Why’d you say his name like that?” Joel asked, squinting a bit at Jimmy. He flushed a little bit, and a wicked grin spread over Joel’s face.

“Don’t look at me like that! He just saved me, that’s all. I dunno if he’s even alive, he took a pretty nasty hit from Scarletwing,” Jimmy said, sitting up and scrubbing his hands over his face. Lizzie frowned a little, and shifted away from Jimmy to grab the tv remote.

The news flickered on, with a grainy picture of Jimmy on the screen. The picture shrunk down to go in the corner, revealing a newscaster standing in the rubble of the buildings from the fight.

“We have an exciting development from the fight against the Southlanders downtown- not only did Starboy make their debut as one of our newest heroes, but a new super revealed themself today- here we have Starboy to tell us about what he saw,” a newscaster announced, and Starboy came into the frame. Text appeared at the bottom of the screen, a scrolling message that read “Starboy (he/they) Shares All: Recounting the Tale of the Newest Super!” Despite being tackled through a wall, Starboy looked as radiant as ever. Jimmy sat up a little taller.

“I didn’t see a lot, but I was the one who saved them when they fell from the building. But then they ended up saving me back- they shot Scarletwing with this bright blue light, kind of like mine,” Starboy explained, summoning a sphere of starlight in their hand to demonstrate.

“So they’re a starborne, like you?” the newscaster asked.

“That’s what we thought at first, but then they teleported just like Warp does- and when Mirage tried to corner them, they vanished the same way Mirage does. And there are some starbornes who can teleport, but we do it in a burst of starlight, not purple sparks like Warp or slipping in and out of reality like Mirage. And they did both,” he explained, slight awe in his voice.

“Oh? Do I detect some admiration for this new hero?” the newscaster asked with a smile that made Jimmy think a little of a viper.

“Well, we don’t know their allegiances yet-”

“Ooh, star-crossed lovers, perhaps?” the newscaster interrupted, enjoying their own play on words far too much.

“I don’t even know them,” Starboy scrambled with a light flush that made the stars on his cheeks shine even brighter.

“Well I don’t know about you, but this picture submitted by an ameteur photographer sure shows some chemistry to me!” the newscaster chirped, and a picture of Starboy holding Jimmy in his arms came on screen. Jimmy had been staring open-mouthed at Starboy, clinging to their shoulders. Meanwhile Starboy had been looking at Jimmy with a dazzling grin, holding tight to him as they floated in the air. New text appeared at the bottom of the screen: “Romance Among New Heroes, or Star-Crossed Lovers?”

“Now I get why you said their name like that,” Joel murmured in a teasing tone. Jimmy’s face burned, and he buried his face in his hands. Lizzie turned off the tv, letting out a deep breath.

“So. When were you planning on telling me you had powers?” Lizzie demanded.

“Not like we’ve been super honest with him,” Joel muttered. Lizzie reached over to smack the back of his head.

“I didn’t know I had powers until today and- he wait what do you mean, not being honest with me?” Jimmy asked with a frown. Lizzie sighed, glaring at Joel a little, before waving her hand. Pink and yellow sparkles fluttered over her, and in a matter of moments iridescent wings sprouted from her back, and a flowery mask shimmered into place over her eyes. Jimmy jolted back, turning to look at Joel- whose appearance changed with a flurry of red sparks to reveal blood red eyes and a dark cloak.

Panic clutched at Jimmy’s throat. Because his sister and brother-in-law were two of the city’s most feared villains: the Fairy Queen and the Red Wizard. Together they led the Fairy Fort, a team of ruthless villains that tormented the city. They were at the center of many conspiracies and assassinations, and were known for frequent infighting amongst themselves as well as against other villain groups they allied with.

“Please don’t freak out,” Lizzie said, hands up placatingly.

“Bit late for that!” Jimmy squeaked, scrambling backwards. The Fairy Queen was ruthless, the Red Wizard was unhinged, and they were his family?! No way. Today had to be some sort of fever dream- first he got caught in a battle and found out he had powers, and now this?!

“I know we don’t exactly have the best reputation-”

“You think?!” Jimmy cried, cutting Joel off.

“But you don’t know those so-called ‘heroes’ like we do, they’re bad news- especially the Crowfather’s team,” Lizzie explained.

“And now they’re probably gonna be looking for you, with your whole… whatever is happening,” Joel added.

“Starboy seemed alright…” Jimmy said softly. Lizzie’s lips pressed together in a firm line.

“Maybe, but that’s how they start. All bright-eyed and hopeful, talking about how all they want is to help people- but then the power goes to their heads, and they just want to help themselves,” Lizzie said darkly. Jimmy frowned.

“But isn’t that what you and the Fairy Fort do?! You just do whatever you want, causing chaos and…” Jimmy trailed off as he remembered that this wasn’t just his sister he was snapping back at- this was a feared villain who wrought havoc over the city.

“It’s not as simple as hero and villain, Jimmy. The lines have always been blurred- it's just that the heroes don’t want you to know that,” Joel said bitterly.

“But you’ve killed people!” Jimmy sputtered. Joel just shrugged.

“It was me or them. Or they were gonna hurt Lizzie. But it’s not like they were great people either,” Joel said, resting what was probably supposed to be a comforting hand on Jimmy’s arm. But Jimmy jerked away- and red magic followed. It flowed into Jimmy, and he was overcome with simmering rage.

“What’s happening, what did you do to me?!” Jimmy demanded, quickly becoming overwhelmed by the surge of power.

“What do you mean, what did I do?! You’re the one taking my magic!” Joel gasped out, sounding a little like he had been punched.

“You can take people’s powers. That’s why you could shoot starbolts like Starboy, but then teleport like Warp, and then teleport like Mirage,” Lizzie murmured with intrigue in her tone.

“But I don’t want this- I don’t even know how I’m doing this!” Jimmy cried, red magic starting to surge around him.

“Whoa- hold on, let’s calm down first- my magic is tied to emotions, you’re gonna blow us all up at this rate,” Joel said, reaching out to take Jimmy’s hands to try and ground him.

This, however, turned out to be a mistake. Because more magic flooded into Jimmy, and Joel cried out in pain. Jimmy tore his hands out of Joel’s grip, scrambling away. Joel slumped over, and Lizzie was quick to rush to his side. She looked up at Jimmy, shock and horror in her eyes.

Jimmy ran before she could say anything, darting out the door and bursting into the sky with the Red Wizard’s- with Joel’s magic, ignoring Lizzie’s shouts after him.

Just a few notes on my RP rules.

01. Flexible.

✧ First off, I’m willing to rp with anyone from any fandom and even OCs. Concerning plots, we can always work something out and see what happens next. I’m pretty flexible with ideas so I can rp anything.

✧ I RP canon/au/crossovers…even crack just for the hell of it. Whatever as long as it's fun.

02. Shipping.

✧ I am willing to be multishipping with anyone, I guess it depends on how the chemistry is between our characters. Who knows if it’ll work out.

3. NSFW.

✧ NSFW, I’m willing to do this as well but please it has to be 18 and over, Mun is over 18. No exceptions.

✧ NSFW threads will be either under Read More or not, it all depends on my rp partner. And they will be tagged accordingly, #;; nsfw #;; nsfw-ish.

THERE WILL BE TRIGGER WARNING ON EVERY TAGS I MAKE WITH JAEKYUNG WHEN ITS NEEDED. As we know, the manhwa is graphic. I would like to express that despite how I am portraying this character, I will portray him as in the manhwa, he is rude and brutal.

4. Godmoding.

✧ No Godmoding, which is obvious. So please do not do that.

05. Threads.

✧ If I do forget a thread, please let me know since I tend to be busy with work and real life. But don't mention it every 10 minutes. It just gets annoying and makes me think of not responding. Not to be a pain but I want to be considerate.

06. Hate.

✧ I will not and refuse to tolerate hate that is sent to me. So don’t bother because I’ll block you on sight. Do not send any kind of hate to anyone. I know a lot of people may not like this character so please be respectful and do not send me hate messages. I will just ignore and click delete, so please don't bother.

07. Asks.

✧ My inbox is open 24/7. Anons are welcome, same for any random asks from any of my followers. I enjoy talking OOC as well so please feel free to ask me anything! And don't be afraid to approach me!

08. Followers.

✧ New follow starters are not written (it's because I suck at coming up with starters ;3;) but feel free to tag me if you have one! But if I do feel inspired to send you one, I will tag you, and it's up to you if you want to reply or not. If you don't, no hard feelings!

09. Disclaimer.

✧ Disclaimer: I do not own any of the series that my muses are in, they belong to their respectful owners. I will add more information as I continue to work on this blog.

10. Muse =/= Mun.

✧I do not condone what my muse does, or say. I have a muse who could do terrible things and in many people's eyes, is a complete jerk. I do agree with most of the things he has done, but I believe in my heart as the manhwa progresses, I think Jaekyung will come around and be a better person. The manwha is not completed yet so who knows what will happen in the future.

However, I don’t condone his behavior or his words when he hurts others. Just because I write it doesn’t mean I condone such a thing.

11. Icons. ✧ Icons are made cleaned, and edited are made by me, but the icon graphics are made by so please…don’t steal. Fanart, gifs are not mine and if I have the source for them, I will make sure to post it. But if I can’t find them, I will let you all know and I would appreciate it if you help me in finding them. If the creator doesn’t want me to use them, then I will immediately apologize and take them down.

Hi, helloliriels! You seem a nice sort so I’m going out on a limb here (am pretty new, dumb question):

What is a crack fic? I know angst, I know whump means something significantly bad actually happens to a main character. I get smut, fluff, dom/sub, bdsm, A/B/O universe- But I can’t get a handle on crack.

So glad you asked! There's a lot of people bringing this up actually!! Happy to answer any questions I can, anytime!

For the challenge I'm leaving it open to the authors to say what would be crack for them to write. But basically ... If you've thought up an idea before but been like ... nawwww, that's a little out there ... kinda crazy?? ... We want it! It could even be an absurd concept written seriously, as long as the overall idea brings a smile. I'll even take dark comedy (love it). Authors challenging themselves to write that one fic that they just couldn't bring themselves to write - cause it's just too silly! Release the KRAKEN!

🍬🍭🧃🍄CRACK FIC🍄🧃🍬🍭:

Fan fiction made to be ridiculous, absurd, surprising, over-the-top, wild, funny, or just to get a laugh. Might be a gotcha right at the end! (dreams, hallucinations, etc).

AUs List

Ok, wow. Y’all really liked my last Au post! Because of that, I now have enough confidence to post a list of all the dumb AUs me and my sisters, @baaaa-king and @omniithedeer, have come up with. If you’d like to enquire about any of these ideas, send me an ask!

Danny Phantom AUs.

1. An AU where Danny and Dani get adopted by a ghost family and gain 400 siblings and an Eldritch grandma.

2. Supernatural Delegations AU (a one shot of the same name is in progress.) Other supernatural/paranormal beings exists and commonly interact with each other. Ghosts have been out of contact since Pariah Dark’s reign, and when they hear about the new monarch (AKA Danny), things get wild.

3. Young Ancients AU. A forgotten ghost artifact is rediscovered, and all the ancients hold a meeting to decide who should have it in their possession. Pariah crashes the meeting and, in the scuffle, activates the artifact, de-aging everyone into their teens. Of course, they go to Danny for help. We have collectively decided that Pariah is British. No one has a say unless it's to confirm.

4. Addams Family Danny Phantom crossover where, after Danny’s powers are reviled and the whole Fenton’s A+ Parenting, Danny runs away. He ends up being found and adopted by Morticia and Gomez. Honestly disappointed no one has made this yet >:(

5. Ghost Royalty AU. Danny, Sam and Tucker are all royalty/nobility in the Zone (Undergrowth is less of an ass here, and formally adopts Sam in Urban Jungle instead of mind controlling her. You already know Danny and Tucks royalty qualifications. Also, I know this isn’t my AU specifically, but my sisters and I have a lot of prompts, so its here.)

BNHA AUs.

1. Isolation AU, inspired by Telescope by Cave Town. AFO is not Hisashi. Inko, Mitsuki and their husbands went to a fertility clinic to have children via IVF. The clinic is actually the fore front for quirk experimentations funded by AFO. Izuku and Katsuki are born from the clinic and taken away, while AFO administers a mind-altering quirk on them to make them believe their children are stillborn. They are then taken and raised in a facility with other children for 15 years before Aizawa comes and rescues them.

2. Gore Warning for this AU!!

Isolated Cannibals AU, Inspired by Animal Cannibal by Karen Skladany. Quirked Izuku AU, specifics below.

Izuku and Katsuki are kidnapped just before their quirks came in and given to the Doctor to perform experiments on them. Along with the quirks they were born with, they were given copies* of a quirk called Carnivore, which lets them digest any form of meat from any creature, and get more nutritional value from it. They can still eat fruits and Vegetables though. For 12 years, they were tortured, tested on, and used as “Disposal” for failed experiments and Nomu before they got rescued.

* Izuku’s quirk is called All for All. He can temporarily posses a quirk, make copies with either temporary or permanent features, and either bind them to himself or another person of his choosing. He can also get creative and merge two copies into one unique customized quirk. The strength of the copied quirk depends on his base quirk, so the more he practices, the stronger the copies. Holding too many quirks could affect his physical and mental health, along with possessing the original drawbacks of the copied quirks.

3. A crack AU where everyone from Class 1A + Monoma and Shinsou is related to the Addams family.

4. Homestuck crossover AU where Izuku has a tiny bit of Troll Ancestry in his bloodline and that makes him pupate when he’s 4 and in an ironic jackpot of the Troll Genetics Lottery, he pupates into a Fushcia blood Troll. This is not his actual Quirk though. His actual quirk is a mix of hydrokinesis and the ability to control sea life. Think of Percy Jackson’s demigod powers. He also has natural pheromones that allow him to control or manipulate anyone his Troll instincts think of as lesser both Humans and Trolls. I plan on making Alternia invade Earth. It happens a few weeks After the Kamino Arc.

Miscellaneous AUs.

1. Homestuck AU where there’s A mafia/syndicate organization called The Ophiuchus Collective that believes in blood equality and that rank should be dictated by hard work. The Signless helped the syndicate in the past and owe him the favour of taking care of his descendant. As they hate owing favours, once they found Karkat they do everything in their power to protect him and ascend him to the position of Heir to the Leader.

2. Smitten Kitten Eyes: Post reveal crack miraculous AU where after a mission Plagg reaches his daily cheese limit (so as to not eat his family into bankruptcy) and Adrien refuses to give him more. Because of this, the next time Adrien transforms, Plagg leave his Chat Noir eyes once everything is over. Now he must navigate life trying to explain to everyone who doesn’t know why he has Chat’s eyes. Marinette has a blast the entire time.

International Fanworks Day 2022

Thank you so much to the Creative Lounge for making these bingo cards for International Fanworks Day 2022!

I filled out both cards and there are a lot of stories so I’m putting the rest of this post under a cut.

Favourite Trope: Seducing Tobirama for the pining trope. So much pining!

SO much research: Courting Culture Confusion. I keep having to break for research spirals. 🤣

Smallest thing you made: No Stars in the Sky. Only 41 words.

Was supposed to be a one-shot: Escape and Evade. This was only ever supposed to be a short thing - the first chapter was supposed to be a stand alone one shot. Whoops. It ended up being 38K and the first part of a series that is currently 490K... and still ongoing.

Flowed from my fingertips fully-formed: (Im)pure Chaos. It just happened!

Created during a weird rush of energy: Founders Fairy Tales. I wrote 11K over two days - I don't know what happened.

Cried while creating this: Not Even the Law Can Help You. Oh yeah. Buckets of tears.

Train wreck turned into awesomeness: Orienting an Orbit. This story fought me like hell, but I quite like how it turned out.

I had to create new tags: Sharks Hug With Their Mouths. I definitely had to create new tags for this, including a new tag for the relationship.

No beta no regrets: Almost everything I've ever written. Only one of my stories has been beta'd - Silence is Golden.

I invented this rare pair: Blondes Save the World. This relationship tag didn't exist on AO3 before I wrote it, and this is still the only story on AO3 with this ship.

Au/crossover that no-one asked for: The Wrong Question. Definitely no one asked for this one. 🤣

Successfully wrestled into submission: Slither and Stalk. Another story that fought me, but I actually like.

Fave OC-centric work: Home is in the Heart (of the Ocean). Niko is my very first OC in Naruto fandom and she's dear to my heart.

Was supposed to be fluff, (I swear): The Closing of Our Shared Narrative. I don't know how the angst crept in...

I sleep-created this: Bad Moon Rising. The second chapter was entirely plotted in my sleep - I'm a lucid dreamer so I do that sometimes.

Biggest thing you made: To Tempt a Target. 114K words. The only thing bigger is the series bible which currently stands at 141K.

The one that haunts my dreams (finished or un): There are three of these, all unfinished. Death is Not the End - because the short story that I posted is only the beginning of a giant AU, Hold Your Children Precious - a really dark cannon divergence AU, and an as yet untitled (and utterly crack) idea in which Naruto canon is actually a D&D campaign played by the members of the Akatsuki IRL. Hidan is a med student and health nut, which should really tell you exactly how crack it is...

So underrated: The Mirror Wheel Eye by @pentapoda. I cannot believe this only has 157 kudos!

Made you feel emotions (how dare): A Gift Just for You by @creative-sweets. Super sweet and cute!

Brought you into a fandom/ship: As Is the Sea Marvelous by @blackkatmagic. The story that dragged me screaming (with joy) on to the MadaTobi ship and gave me an understanding of the Founders Era.

Learned so much from this: a symbol of subjugation by evocates. A seminal foundation of this fandom for me.

Fanwork that inspired me to create fanworks: naruto short fic tumblr fills by @robininthelabyrinth. My very first Naruto story is based on chapter 89 (Run) and written with nirejseki's permission.

Fave twist on a trope: Konoha is the Clownfish AU of the shinobi world by drelfina. Amazing take on the mpeg trope, just amazing.

Made me scream in the comments: Wingtips by @good-grievance. Scream, keyboard smash, everything.

A+ characterisation: blood rare and sweet as cherry wine by @asukaskerian. Fantastic characterisation, just wonderful, and such fantastic world building! Fraternal polyamory! Incredible!

So fluffy it gave me cavities: Storehouse Treasure by @dahtwitchi. This is the story to reread when I want to be happy. I could just squeeze Kura forever, she is so cute! (Although Madara would murder me.)

Helped me to heal: (If you are not by my side) What does it matter if I can ascend to the highest peak? by drelfina. The very first story I read with the MadaTobi pairing and the one which made me go, “wait, is this Naruto?????”

The one everyone should read: Under a Teardrop Moon by @writhingbeneathyou. To describe this would be to ruin it. Just read it, it's wonderful.

Reread immediately: Of Demon Fish and Time Travel by @kitsunekage88. Amazing time travel AU. I cannot help but re-read it whenever I see it.

Spiciest smut: Gentle Scales by @artbythedarkside. I'm a huge fan of this story. HUGE.

Hurt so good: We Bleed the Same by @madmothmadame. Oh god. So good, and so painful, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Lost sleep, no regrets: In the Eye of the Beholder by @hali-ra. I read all 90K in a single night and I regret nothing. NOTHING.

Hats off to this mash-up: oh, but the revelation of stardust by @pearlescentpearl. MCU and Naruto are not fandoms that I ever thought could be smashed together but WOW. I read this story before I even knew who Tobirama was, and it's only gotten more excellent since.

The head cannon that lives in my head rent-free: Eyestealer by @robininthelabyrinth. Amazing. I have never seen this concept done anywhere else and I cannot write Hashirama without thinking of this story.

Is it weird that I want to fic this fic?: Tobirama-Centric Snippets and Oneshot Collection by @kitsunesongs. Chapter 7 (To the Waters and the Wilds) and chapter 9 (The Senju Spring Festival) are especially inspiring!

Pulled off a really tricky scenario: I'm powerful (with a little bit of tender) by @silverutahraptor. Beautiful lyrical story telling. Chapter three is my favourite.

Wish it were canon: War In Times of Peace by @raendown. Oh this one, how I wish it were canon, I really do!

Fave OC-centric work: Doing the Work by MarbleGlove. An absolute joy to read, an incredible example of how an original character can impact canon.

The one that I hold out hope that it will be updated one day: Captured Crimson by @emilx311. I waited... and it happened! Good things do come to those who wait! 💚💚💚💚💚

Because I thought it would be cool to write them down somewhere.

For ones that I may write in the future, I will try to avoid spoilers, but I don't care too much about scrapped ideas so you can use them if you find them interesting enough. Most of them are crossovers, though, so yeah.

Don't have that many at the moment but I'll add more here as time goes on!

Scrapped Fic Ideas

1. "A Smoke to Cleanse Our Souls" (I think that's what it was called. I can't find the document :/)

2. "Let the Undead Beware, Too!"

Fandoms: Undertale x Genshin Impact (Never written for Genshin before...)

Summary: Two skeletons get lost on the wrong side of Wuwang Hill. A particular starry-eyed funeral director has her eyes on them.

"Come on, I'll help you pass over! What? The afterlife? No, no, pass over the hill, silly! I'm not going to kill you! Hehe, can skeletons even die anyways? Maybe we should find out!"

(What the summary says. Basically an AU where the UT and Genshin universes are the same, monsters are free from the underground and Papyrus and Sans accidentally end up on Wuwang Hill in the middle of the night. At first, Hu Tao, being Hu Tao, did what she used to try to do to Qiqi- bury them, cuz they're already dead. Of course, she quickly warms up to them and realizes that they're not... dead. So this is just crack and fluff.)

Unused Fic Ideas (May write in future)

1. "Mind Games"

Fandom: Gravity Falls (However, this is also heavily inspired by "Friday Night Funkin': Mind Games" but I wouldn't call it a crossover. More of an AU. Although the Dearests are here.)

Summary: With Stanley being pronounced dead years ago and nobody else to trust, Stanford struggles to find a place to hide his final journal, and worst of all, Bill still has free access to his mind whenever he sleeps, making him hit a complete roadblock. Until, one day, he hears rumours of a real, actual psychic who could help him with his dream demon problem, who is apparently taking temporary residence for a job- somewhere in Oregon.

Meanwhile, Stanley is doing great, or as great as he could. Despite the fact that he's made millions from his service to the Dearests, he's still too afraid to show his face to his family, especially since he had to erase his identity in order to be able to keep his job. His employers assigned him yet another dream demon problem- those had been popping up more and more recently- but who was he to complain? He was doing just great, after all. Even if it was a little lonely.

(Or: Psychic!Stan AU based off of FNF Mind Games. There's A LOT of details and lore here, and psychics work MUCH DIFFERENTLY THAN TRADITIONALLY, but I'll have to make a separate post for this. I can't describe too much of what happens in this fic without there being spoilers. Just watch this.)

Fandom: Friday Night Funkin' x Undertale (Cuphead and BATIM are mentioned as this is based off of this fantastic mod!)

Summary/Excerpt:

Boyfriend hissed, barely dodging the attack as the edge of the Gaster Blaster's laser beam singed his shoulder, taking off a good chunk of his HP and causing the red heart representing his chest to flicker as he took damage.

While he wasn't weak enough to collapse from the pain, per se, it didn't mean that he didn't falter, and he paused for a moment, just to catch his breath if not for another reason.

"Just keep attacking," A voice in his head Boyfriend could distinctly recognize as not his own murmured, the tone comforting at first, yet something about how they spoke put him on edge. "Just let me take control, let them get the ending they want, and you can go home to your girlfriend. You want that, don't you?"

H...Home?

G-Girlfriend...?

He had forgotten what his true goal was, having been blinded by curiosity. He wasn't supposed to be making friends. He was supposed to be trying to survive, to get back to his own universe where he was supposed to be...

How had he forgotten that?

If whoever this was could truly offer him this, then...

Remembering what he had lost, and equally tempted by the offer, Boyfriend obliged.

(Or: The Genocide Route of Friday Night Funkin': Indie Cross, from the point of view of a confused Post-Pacifist run Boyfriend. One-shot. Title of the fic and the fic itself based off this banger of a song.)

Fandom: Undertale x Friday Night Funkin' (Once again, based off of this mod!)

Summary/Excerpt:

"HUMAN! SO YOU REFUSE TO FIGHT... BUT INSTEAD... YOU WANT TO SING SOME TUNES????"

Boyfriend happily beeped in confirmation, causing Papyrus' eye sockets to widen, but he continued grinning nonetheless.

"NYEHEHEHEHEH! WELL, THE GREAT PAPYRUS NEVER BACKS DOWN FROM A CHALLENGE! I SHALL ENGAGE IN YOUR ART OF... EHH... WHAT WAS IT? RAP BATTLING? RATTLING? AND THEN I SHALL CAPTURE YOU, AND BECOME PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD!" Papyrus was practically glowing as his scarf blew in the wind which came from... somewhere, enthusiasm and determination clear in his voice.

Boyfriend flashed a side glance to Sans for permission, who shrugged and gave him a look which said, 'just go with it.'

Facing back to the taller brother, he beeped once more in agreement, making the other laugh once more.

"SPLENDID!! NOW... PREPARE YOURSELF... TO BE MINDBLOWN!!"

(Or: After the pacifist run of Indie Cross, Boyfriend somehow returns to the Underground in a different timeline, yet Sans still remembers him from their time together. some of the best fantasy au fics for bnha that i've read

i decided to make a fic rec list of one of my favourite aus/fusions. mostly midoriya-centric, there are some crossovers (with hp), and a lot of different ways in which the authors have taken them - so it could be Quirks, ghosts, outright fantasy aus, spirits, witches etc etc. there isn't a specific order and there aren't a tonne (these are the ones i could find buried in my bookmarks lol), but the ones on the list are all really well written i love them.

i've tried adding relevant information, the summary (shortened if it's pretty long) and just. adding some random tags that may be important. not all of them though. obviously this is not a complete list and there will most definitely be more fics out there, if there are some really good fics that you know that aren't on this list, feel free to tell me, i'd love to read them!!!

1) How many works do you have on AO3? 46. And not all of them have been transferred over from FFN. There’s at least another dozen between multiple fandoms over there, lol.

5. Which of your fic do you want more attention for? Difficult question for me to answer. I’ve been gifted with lovely feedback on most of my work. I guess if I were to choose one it would be Locking Up the Sun (Batman)? It’s a Fantasy AU. A fantastic exercise in world-building. I had so much fun with it that I’ve been playing with the idea of spinning bits of it into an original work.

6. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? YES. I try to respond to every review and comment I receive. I understand it takes a lot of time and energy for some people, but from the moment I posted my first Merlin fic in 2011, I needed to respond, even if with nothing more than a little thank you. And I’m not about to stop the habit. I met some of my dearest friends responding to reviews. I still meet wonderful people doing so. :) 7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Uhhhh, I’m not sure? I guess it depends on perspective. Most of my fics end happily, or rather, I am quite heavy-handed on the comfort part of the Hurt/Comfort trope. I do bittersweet more often than I do angst. I wrote a Merlin AU inspired by The Picture of Dorian Gray about Uther Pendragon that was pretty angsty? Grief was another one, also in the Merlin fandom. I’m sure there were some in my FFN Merlin oneshot collection Rabbits and Bathroom Breaks that apply, but lord knows I hardly remember half of what I’ve posted in that monster.

8. Do you write crossovers? Once. I wrote a Rise of the Guardians/Frozen crossover with an Elsa/Jack Frost pairing as a gift for a friend. 9. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Oh, of course. Who hasn’t? I’ve been cursed out more than once, too. It always stings, but it’s a matter of stepping back and asking myself: is this constructive? will this make me a better writer? Once you frame the comment/review that way, it’s a bit easier to see that it’s unproductive to linger on it for long. It’s someone’s personal preferences and/or beliefs not aligning with your own. Or someone who can’t quite distance themselves from fiction enough to realize you are not always what you write, nor are you a reflection of the characters/plot you’re writing about.

10. Do you write smut? if so what kind? Rarely, and only as crack or as a joke. Nothing I would ever share in public. RIP Uther Pendragon/Troll fic of circa 2013-2014. I do so wish I’d saved you somewhere safe. 11. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, but I have no idea where they are posted or in what language. Most of the requests came over FFN, so I’m sure they’re available somewhere. In some capacity.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not quite. My friend and I wrote every other line of the aforementioned Uther/Troll fic in a chatroom, if that counts. 13. What’s your all time favorite ship? I’m far more interested in platonic/family relationships in pretty much every fandom I’m in. If I were to choose one? Adam Hayes/Caleb Michaels from The Bright Sessions. Or Barry Allen/Iris West in The Flash.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? *eyes Shift warily*

I KID. I made a promise over half a decade ago, and I intend on keeping it. In all seriousness: A Merlin time-travel fic I started ages upon ages ago. I hardly remember what the point of it was. There is a fun scene I’ve considered posting as a oneshot more than once over the years, though, just because it makes me laugh.

15. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue, I think? I love it.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Imagery/action. Give me a single scene focused on a conversation between two hopeless individuals that need some TLC and let me forget about where they are sitting or if they are sitting at all or if there are things that need describing around them, please and thank you. 17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I’ve done it, in some capacity. I used my knowledge of Latin grammar from old high school classes to try to write spells for Merlin fics. I probably butchered quite a few, lol. I think it’s important to use language as accurately as possible, though, if it were to be used at all. Most of the time I take the lazy man’s route and use dialogue tags and italics, just so I can avoid making ignorant mistakes. As a reader, as long as I have translations in front of me, I’m golden. 18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Merlin. I owe that fandom everything. 19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? Come Alive. I don’t know that I have ever had so much fun writing anything in my life. a million dreams (my Flying Grayson time travel tear-jerker) and Not a Bit (my MLB Brothers AU, inspired by the original PV) come in close second. I dig my family feels, obviously. 20. What fic are you most proud of? Shift, my Danny Phantom AU, if only because it’s been seven years since I posted its first chapter. Writing it has felt like pulling teeth at certain points, but it has been with me for a long, long time. Rereading it is like looking at a time lapse of how I’ve developed as a writer, lol. Heart of Gold (Merlin) is another. Before Shift, it was the longest fic I’d ever written, one, and it was my first time really developing an OC/attempting a redemption arc as well. It was far from a perfect fic, but boy did I feel like a queen when I finished it. I’m sure you might’ve done something like this at some point, @cdelphiki, but here you go! @breynekai-tfc, too! ▪︎Greg was Feeding Fred at the Tavern - At first watching, one may be confused as to where all the food Greg was gathering went, why Fred was wearing lipstick and why he was refusing to talk to Beatrice. Shown in a deleted scene, this all explained, as Fred tells Beatrice that he didn't talk to her because Greg was feeding him.

▪︎Elijah Wood Voiced the Crazy Driver - Exactly what is says on the tin, the nutty driver was voiced by Wood.

▪︎Cloud City is Heaven - A popular theory that Cloud City actually represents Heaven.

▪︎Greg is Greg Universe - A headcanon/theory that has mostly died out that Greg is the same Greg in Steven Universe.

▪︎Bee Beatrice - Beatrice was originally cursed to become a bee, but was changed into a bluebird to match better with the seasonal autumn theme.

▪︎Pat McHale Voiced Wirt's Voice Crack - Wirt's voice crack when asking the Beast Are You? was actually done by McHale, not Wood.

▪︎The Other Actors Harassing Elijah Wood When Singing Wirt's Song - In order to make the performance as awkward as possible, the other actors were asked to yell and demand Wirt to sing. This can be heard in the episode.

▪︎Come Wayward Souls Has the Same Melody as O Holy Night - The song shares a cadence with "O Holy Night", and can be sung to its tune.

▪︎Black Turtles Origin/Purpose - No one knows why the black turtles exist, and McHale has said that they're just one of the unexplainable things of the Unknown.

▪︎Anna Never Left the House - In the aforementioned comics, it is shown that Anna had never left the house, living on her own until the Woodsman's return.

▪︎Sailor Suit Greg - Greg originally wore a sailor suit, but was changed later on to his current, Johnny Appleseed inspired outfit .

▪︎Tome of the Unknown (original plot) - Early concepts had the Beast ( then known as Old Scratch as mentioned earlier ) scattering the pages of the titular book for the brothers to collect. Each page would come to life and the brothers would explore each story.

▪︎Babes in the Wood Title Origin - The name of this episode comes from an old story of a pair of children getting lost in the woods, dying, and being buried in leaves by robins.

▪︎poorlydrawnotgw - This was a blog created during the poorly drawn series meme period. It consisted of poorly drawn and very strange shitposts and has since been deactivated. I was a part of it as mod Goopy Wirt and only have a handful of images saved from it.

▪︎Read and Listen Book Lost Audio - A read and listen book was created, with the book being read by Greg's Frog, who would stop every now and again to talk about being a frog. The pages can be found online, but the audio is currently lost.

▪︎Skinless Witch - A scrapped episode concept involved a skinless witch that kidnapped Greg and rode him like a horse.

▪︎Gentleman Burglar Wirt - A scrapped concept in which Wirt breaks into a woman's home, who is charmed by this young man who has come to visit her.

▪︎Animal Transformation - It was originally planned for Wirt and Greg to be turned into a bear/dog and a duck and remain that way for several episodes. This was later used in the comics.

▪︎The Unknown is influenced by Wirt's mind/interests - The Unknown is influenced by those who walk in it, in this case, Wirt. This includes the old timey mystical nature of it, as Wirt has been stated to have an interest in old folk tales.

▪︎Good Guy Beast/Black Train Scrapped Concept - In an earlier draft, the brothers were on a train, heading to what they assumed was death. They jump off, ending up in the Unknown. The Beast tries to get them back on the train, which turns out to be heading back to life.

▪︎Evil Woodsman - At one point, the Woodsman was intended to be under the influence of the Beast and tried to sabotage the brothers's attempts to return home.

▪︎Lorna Reading the Tome of the Unknown in the Epilogue - In the epilogue, Lorna can be seen reading the titular book from the aforementioned scrapped plot.

▪︎The Beast was Originally the Devil Himself - The Beast was first designed as a devil-like character, the aforementioned Old Scratch.

▪︎The Brothers Never Went Home/The Hospital is Part of The Unknown - a theory based on the fact that the edges of the screen are still blurred at the end of chapter 10, the rushed narration, and the lack of consequences of nearly drowning.

▪︎Beatrice Seeing Wirt Nude - In one of the comics, Beatrice accidentally sees Wirt while he is washing his clothes in the river.

▪︎Sara is a Descendant of Lorna - A theory that Sara is a distant relative of Lorna.

▪︎Exists in the Same Universe as Clarence and Home Movies - The most well known piece of evidence is the overhead shot of the town matching the town that Clarence is set in. Wirt and Greg also have a cameo in another episode, and one of the final episodes shows Brendon Small of Home Movies runs a movie rental store in the town, connecting all three series together.

Happy One Year Anniversary to The Old Guard 🎉🎊👏🏻🥲❤

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much the movie means to me and share my love for the fandom 💕

Thanks to TOG I reentered fandom for the first time in over a decade (#momlife), when before I maybe liked and sometimes reblogged some stuff here and there, now I've essentially turned a decade old personal blog into a fandom blog haha. Also before, I maybe did some rpging online but it wasn't really a social thing, and posted a few original stories on fandiction.net like fourteen years ago 😅

Technically I joined AO3 almost six years earlier (I need to update my bio), but as the screenshot says:

TOG helped me work up the courage to post!

SO, I started writing - here's my first original post I posted for the fandom (a meta about the potential interfaith marriage possibilities between Joe and Nicky). Because of the feedback, I felt encouraged to explore the idea in my very first fic I posted that very day! And I - haven't really stopped since 🙃

Oops.

I've shared a few times, but writing has been a wonderful therapeutic outlet for me, both creatively but also to explore possible repetitive themes that I come across and discuss in therapy as well. Of course, I also have written crack fics haha, but in general, as my therapist says, "You must have had a lot to say, and found a way to say it."

So, even though I'm slowly sliding into other fandoms (though in the peripheral of TOG since it's only crossover AUs for Luca/Marwan characters atm), there's simply no way I cannot think of this movie fondly that has helped me feel comfortable to share, be vulnerable, and make friends during such a hard time to boot (side eyeing the pandemic hard).

Some of my favorite fics have been the ones that explore themes of communication in relationships (both platonic and romantic), love languages that can help people feel seen and heard, as well as explicit consent, healing after trauma (and that the path isn't always linear), and aspec sexuality (I projected my demisexuality hard in some fics yo). If you want to check some of them out - though really no pressure, I'm very humbled to have had as much support as I've received over the last eleven months! - here are the top four based on hits:

I'm also very grateful for the love that's been given to me here - the likes and reblogs and sweet hashtags people have left me on my fics and art, you loves are wonderful and I am so happy to hype and cheer you on as well 💖

Right now, I have a super long WIP spreadsheet that will keep me busy through September (maybe even October), and I'm so looking forward to continuing to share with you all - and see what this fandom continues to produce, because y'all are awesome.

Sorry for the delay, I just know that whenever I make rec list it usually ends up taking a while.

With that, Harry Potter fics are a big genre. Just saying Harry Potter in general really isn’t that specific to me so this is across genres/character focuses/you name it.

yes!!! always!!!! no matter what u comment, i will respond!!! and if i don't, it's probably cause ao3 didn't notify me properly or i didn't see it in my inbox or something

as for why, it's mostly to do with like...i know how hard it can be for some people to comment, even just a bunch of heart emojis or a 'i loved this!' or something short and simple? and it means a lot to me that ppl are going out of their way to say something nice, no matter how small, and it's really really important to me to acknowledge that

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

hmm,,,,,this is a hard one, cause for a very long time, my policy was that my fic would always have a happy ending? and for a long time, that was true!! but the dabihawks interaction (during the raid) broke me, and from an emotional standpoint, i think freeing icarus (x) is probably the one that has the angstiest ending of the two or so that i wrote in that time?

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

u know i really haven't written any crossovers? it's normally not my thing cause my brain typically focuses on a single thing and doesn't really have the capacity to think about more than that, so i end up writing just au-style or fusion-style (shoutout to that one bnha but it was scooby doo fic i wrote - x)

i don't think i'd be opposed to writing a crossover but i'd have to be SUPER inspired by the idea and both fandoms lmao

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

aha yes, i have. the only straight up hate i've received was on a kaeluc fic (surprisingly not because it was kaeluc, but bc i was 'mistreating' kaeya in the fic) - to be entirely fair, the commenter pointed out something that i hadn't realized myself, and it led to a second piece of the story that helped me tie up some loose ends, but...let's just say they weren't very kind about their feelings lmao

other than that, i had someone very upset because i didn't tag which character was bottoming in a fic (valid if that bugs u!) and they read through most of it before getting to the smut (and said that they enjoyed everything up to that point) then said they were 'disgusted' by it. i have opinions on that and a few other comments they made, but i will keep them to myself lmao

and beyond that, just a few ppl on my xiaoven fic saying that they were unhappy about the background kaeluc (which is tagged lmao) - really no hate whatsoever til genshin, honestly, which is...very hmmmm :) lmao

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

yep!!! mostly vanilla or vanilla-adjacent lmao i'm not super into heavy kink, although i know if epi reads this she's gonna call me out for being a monsterfucker bc of my dragon!zhongli smut :) lmaoooo but really i tend to write pretty vanilla smut! i also prefer to avoid any noncon/dubcon or hate sex or anything particularly angsty, just not my jam to write!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

hmm i don't think so? although i don't heavily monitor ao3 (or wattpad/ffn), so i can't really say that for sure lmao

Have you ever had a fic translated?

yes!!! i've had a few fics translated to russian (little bird is one of them!) which is very sweet and i hope that anyone who prefers to read in russian has been enjoying those fics!!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

alksdfjklsdf only once, and it's deadass how me and rose got together. we decided to co-write a podcast au fic for the phandom (x) and ended up flirting via google docs asldkfjkldsfj

What’s your all time favourite ship?

what a horrible question, making me choose between my children like this!!!! sdlfkjdskf tbh i'm not sure i have a real answer bc it changes as i go? and 'favorite' is so vague,,,,,favorite to read? to write about? to think about? asdklfjkjsdfk i really don't know if i have an answer, but i'll maybe say kaeluc for now lmao

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

well first and foremost, with only 2 exceptions, i never post a fic unless it's done. i tend to follow wherever my passion leads my brain, so i'm notorious for jumping around between stories and taking breaks from long fic and returning later on to finish them, and i know that i would not do well under the pressure of posting something unfinished and trying to finish it in a timely manner

that said, many wips sit in my google doc folder, but one is Well Known as the one that has followed me through both the phandom and bnha (rose keeps asking who i'm gonna switch the chars to in genshin, but i think it suits bakudeku too well to do that) - only the lonely survive. it sits at like 36k in my wip folder, and i adore the story dearly and i want very much to finish it, but it never makes it quite to the forefront of my motivation, and so it rarely if ever gets worked on...i hate the idea of 'never' finishing it, but it's unfortunately quite likely that i won't 😭😭😭

What are your writing strengths?

emotion!!! and immersion!!! it's my goal in a fic to make it as immersive as possible and saturated with emotion to help convey that feeling of being in the place of the pov character, and i think i do it pretty well. also just bc i feel a little obligated to say it - another strength is actually sitting down and putting words down. i know that's a struggle for a lot of writers and i often get,,,,lovingly bullied? i guess? lmao for being able to bash out a few k in a day most days

What are your writing weaknesses?

this isn't so much a weakness i guess but i am basically incapable of treating crack fic as crack. if i have a cracky idea, it will, without a doubt, end up turning into a Perfectly Serious fic somehow (notable 'crack treated so seriously that it's no longer crack' fics include: todoroki doing the freeze-the-ocean thing from frozen 2, 'shmigaraki', todo and denki get together bc of vine references, the league sells feet pics, shiggy and natsu own a nightclub/bakery, scooby doo but make it bnha, and dabi getting his ears pierced at claire's)

but in all seriousness, i think my main weakness is that i often get comfortable? and i'm not one to typically push myself forcefully out of my comfort zone when it comes to stories that i come up with on my own, which often means that ideas inspired by discussions with others are what prompt me to branch out and try new things?

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i think, like anything, it has its place? there are certainly stories where it makes sense to do that and even adds depth to a story, although i personally am not exceptionally comfortable enough with other languages (except maybe asl) to do that in fic myself without the assistance of someone very comfortable with that language lmao

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

the phandom! not really my jam to write rpf anymore but it definitely got me started and i'm really grateful for my time writing there, as everyone was super supportive and kind, and it was really a perfect place for a beginner to get comfortable and practice

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

again, forcing me to choose between my children...i really don't know that i can pick one fic bc they all exist in such wildly different spaces? i poured my worldbuilding soul into the king of disaster series (mainly dabihawks - x), exile (dan and phil - x) was my first massively long fic, our hearts are heavy burdens we shouldn't have to bear alone (chayea - x) is probably my favorite character/character dynamic study, i'm exceptionally proud of the smut in chosen (zhongchi - x), the list goes on and on and on lmao like. i could probably list half my fics as favorites in some regard dsflkjdfsjkl
