Out of Honey
Yu Gen
Inside his crooked cave made of wood,
the grumpy bear Jugle awoke from the fuss.
Animals ran around and lost control,
the poor Jugle had to hear them all night long.
He grumpy whished for them to disappear,
and like magic from his lips, he fell asleep.
When the sun set and light came in,
Jugle stretched his paws and went to catch some fish.
Soon Jugle noticed something was wrong,
there wasn’t any chirping or a fastidious song.
He frowned and looked around,
surprised at what he found.
He was alone.
Outside the rocky road,
Not a single leaf left its spot.
Jugle laid his back against the trees,
catching the peacefulness he craved to feel.
Days went by for the lonely bear.
He spent them among happy strolls and long rests.
Jugle laughed and toyed with beans,
yet they only danced at his will.
There weren’t any beings to call him out,
neither were there those to put him down.
He was free to do whatever he wanted.
But somehow, he felt haunted.
Haunted by the voices of his friends,
although he did not consider them close till they left.
Haunted by the million dreams of Cassi the snake,
who always had something on the tip of her mouth to say.
He reached the edge of a mountain,
and sat to watch the sunrise.
He closed his eyes; he opened his mouth,
He faced the sky and let the words come out.
Suddenly, the forest was full of joy again.
Not a single animal stood quietly under the pouring rain.
They jumped, they sang, they sniffed, and played,
nothing could silence their famous tale.
Jugle watched as it all came back,
nobody seemed to notice, almost like an act.
He joined them, and despite their surprise,
they let him in with open arms.
In the end, Jugle the grumpy bear was not grumpy anymore.
He smiled and laughed all night long.
THE END
Hello! :)
So, how about some honey to lift your day? Kidding, we only deal with dark cookies and tragic milk. (Yeah, I think I need to check the fridge....) ANYWAY. Hope you like this short story! It was a poem attempt, but since I don't trust my skills as a poet, I'll call it a story instead and wash my hands. (Haha, I'm such a bi#$)
What do you think actually happened to Jugle the bear? What are your theories? Let me read them in the comments! :)

The Granny

Sonia escaped from her daily life at the news of her dog’s sudden departure. With her two small kids and a husband who would rather sleep than visit an old town—far less an old lady—she arrived at her mother’s house.
She told Sonia about almost having a heart attack returning from the market and finding the dog on the floor. The young woman paid her respects and went back to the city. Leaving a nurse to take care of her mother in the dog’s place.
A month later, the nurse found herself ill and died before reaching the hospital. Sonia and her family returned to the old house. When asked, the old woman said she was outside buying groceries when it happened. An unexpected banquet for the children followed the nurse’s short funeral.
Days went by unnoticed. For Sonia, it was tricky to explain how her mother smiled and played with the kids after witnessing death. She remembered her mother’s age and the fact she never was that much of a kind person. The fear of someone deliberating targeting her crossed Sonia’s mind.
With the nurse out, only the gardener remained to take care of the elder. This time they left cameras in the old woman’s house to assure her safety. From her house, Sonia checked the cameras twice a day. After exactly twenty-one days, the old lady’s routine took a twist. She exited the house and cut a strange plant from a pot Sonia never noticed before.
Her eyes widened at the sight of an extremely poisonous Pink Oleander. The old woman carefully placed it in a bowl. She entered the kitchen next, preparing a delicious soup.
By the time Sonia arrived with the local police, the gardener laid next to his bushes, motionless.
The lady appeared with her wrinkled forehead. Rounded brown eyes that haven’t lost their warmth smiled at Sonia.
“Where are the kids, darling?”

Heya, guys! Ready for a short story? Here it goes... Short story: To Live Forever Collection: Death Collector Author: Yu Gen
--------- To Live Forever ---------
Andrea saw kids playing around a fountain, their joy inviting her to astray from her way to work.  “If I was immortal, I could play all the time,” she told herself. After work, she sat on her couch and turned on the T.V. An ad about paradises and monuments popped up. “If I was immortal, I would travel all over the world,” she told herself before turning it off. The next day as she waited for her friend, she spotted skaters in the park staircases and recalled her liking for sports. A dream she never had the guts to turn into reality. Again she spoke to herself before leaving the park. “If I was immortal, I could try anything I want.” The long day was over. Andrea fell on her bed, turning to the unfinished papers on her desk. Pictures of scientists, heroes, and genius minds scattered above them. “If I was immortal, I would have all the knowledge of the world,” she said, a silent tear leaving her eyes as she slept. Her dreams of grandeur floated in fluffy clouds. Ambitions of childhood slipped through the sky, devoured by other’s opinions and formalities of a status-quo.  “If I were immortal, I would be unstoppable,” she mumbled in her sleep, “I would be a legend.” But she was wrong. Heroes are mortals who did what they thought right, despite what others said. Legends are mortals who stood up and faced adversity despite their fear. Myths are mortals whose triumphs were so extraordinary someone turned them into works of art. Immortals were those who lived their lives to the fullest. And in doing so, they left a mark in history. A mark that will live forever.
--------- The End ---------

New short story! To be honest, it turned out to be a bit sad. I wanted to try telling a story through metaphors alone, haha. Hope you like it! :) Into The Pit  - Yu Gen
His door was open, and she crossed it without noticing. Finding a castle of tragedies, a fairytale of wonders surrounded by a maze of confusion.
Did it even matter being by his side? An immature fool who pretended to care. Keeping his distance from the rift he once pushed her in.
“No need for tears, no need for a heart, the only thing you’ll get from that, is pain.”
He warned, but she was drowning already. Words slipping over her mouth like a maelstrom. Her soul tied by the waves of “maybe’s” and the spaces in between.
Until one day, the water engulfed all her being. She screamed and cried for help, but no heroic act came from him.
After roaming the empty ocean for ages, she came out. Water dripping from her clothes and iced eyes, taking away the innocence in which her journey began.
“Ties and ropes no more, the only thing you’ll get from that, is pain.”
She sentenced, finding new lambs to throw into the pit. Endless hearts rip apart in her hands.
Seeing how the lambs twisted and pray, it reminded her of her weakness. She let the water rise until the poor lambs drowned inside.
And once they rise, poisonous words slipped from their tongues.
“Ties and ropes no more. Love is never enough.” The End

📚 The Time Machine & The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells 🤩
FIRST OF this was so crazy to read!! (in the best way possible.)
Secondly, I still haven't finished The War Of The Worlds! 😭 It's actually taking me a while since english is not my first language and the vocabulary got a bit too complex in some parts. But the story is definitely worth the effort. I just going to finish Asimov first and then move on to this baby. 😁
Tumblr media
➡️ I'm gonna leave the review of The Time Machine here and I'll do another post with War of the Worlds once I'm done with it.
---- Review Time ------
The Time Machine ⌚
✨ I fell victim of the time traveller tales. It was a bit weird at the beginning, where I didn't know if the book was a first person or second person perspective. But eventually I stop caring and enjoyed the story.
Tumblr media
✨ It's imaginative, adventurous and entangles the reader into a set of surrealistic settings concerning the events of the future. Most of the time it got me thinking at night, considering the infinite possibilities in humanity's fate. The races and their descriptions were super creative. The explanations upon evolution and the political perspectives mixed into the plot, mind blowing.
✨ I did find a bit dull at parts, there were moments where I had to read two pages to get into the cool scene. But ultimately, I can see why H. G. Well is considered a sci-fi pioneer.
✨ If you are on the lookout for a creativity boost or a inmersive adventure, I'll definitely recomend it. But don't forget to hang on tight, cause this one is a bumpy ride of awesomeness.

Oh my, this made me laugh since it's a normal thing where I live. Not fiction at all 😂 Mine is full of grown-up people who send memes all day long, chatting regularly among themselves. They even have separated group for the old ones and the young ones. 🤣 Gotta love them.
i cant believe there are really people with family group chats. like if your family has a group chat and yall legit talk regularly and send memes and stuff that’s a different genre of reality i cant conceptualize.. ur family might as well be from a teen tv show im sorry it just sounds like pure fiction

Heya, guys! Yesterday I got into a hardcore "lack of energy" moment. 🤔 I don't know why but I was sooo tired, I only wanted to sleep. 💡The good side is: I got to advance on my reading list!!
Tumblr media
I'm currently reading Asimov, I've found his books very inmersive and the guy is a genius. 🤯 His creativity on descriptions, that although have technical language, you end up picturing the scene on an elegant, exciting manner that enchants your mind. And his plot of AI really picks my curiosity and gets me on the verge of my seat. I want to read all of his works. 😍
Although because I tend to lose myself in books, I have a strict schedule for them. If not, I'll probably end up reading the whole week. Facts: I did that once! 😂😂
