Requiem of the Wreckers to me is like sam raimi spiderman 3 to so many people. It’s such a trainwreck it’s amazing and my mind will not shut up about it. Rotw gets better (worse) every reread, I get frustrated over what should’ve happened and how it should’ve ended, and then I’m like “here’s what character A should’ve done here and maybe if we had more pages (screen time) we could’ve gotten more buildup for character B.” I reread it again and it’s even more frustrating but it’s so bad it’s good and fun that I can’t look away. Tarantulas did that for some reason. Springer was like that somehow. They’re in a barn. Ok. Don’t even get me fucking started on whatever the hell Overlord was doing. Hey why don’t we question the implications of this specific plot point that exists only for there to be a shocking reveal of a returning character that also uses previous elements established in the narrative? Yeah but what if we really question it? Like a lot? Is this what it’s like to be obsessed. You make an AU to carry the weight of poorly explained story elements in a trilogy-ending comic book that only so many have read. And its obscurity and absurdity makes you love it so much it becomes self indulgent to the point you get shy when you share it. It is about a poorly explained plot element that you aren’t supposed to question but I did the opposite and made it a problem. Just like the comic itself. I do not understand the grapple it has on my mind and why these writing decisions were made, why did some of these things end like THAT, how did this shit escalate. The writing in this post is as unhinged as the writing of Requiem of the Wreckers because that is what it is. Unhinged. Please read it you will not be disappointed (by what I’m saying). Never before has a comic book driven me this mad

Is the Last Stand of The Wreckers worth reading? And is there anything that I have to read before it?? I’ve read Lost light/mtmte and a few issues of Rid2012
Ok you’re actually ahead of me in that aspect- I need to consume more media and not make it the fuck up. The wreckers series is a trilogy, with Last Stand and Sins of the Wreckers being the last two in the series. I wanted to read those two and then reread MTMTE/LL that’s why I read it.
Do I think it’s worth reading? Ehhhh.
It’s only 5 issues long. If you go into it not sleep deprived and not at 1 am I think you’ll be good. But be mindful if you are sensitive to gore or hard subjects I would either not read it or take breaks between issues.
It helped me learn the characters more- I actually LOVE Springer now thanks to it. He’s so kiss kiss. But I would say it’s important to Prowl/Fort Max’s story and that’s about it. It doesn’t affect MTMTE much other than Fort Max (my poor sweet baby)

looking at the list of deaths wiki's star wars kill count page is frankly hilarious. the first three, even four, are unsurprising.
there's obviously armitage hux with his lovely 155 billion (which damn, i didn't know it was that much, i'd expected like half that). then there's darth nihilus, whom i had not heard about, as im not up to date with legends, at 6 billion. and then there's tarkin with the death star at 2 billion. those are the big three with their absurdly but unsurprisingly high numbers
after that there's krennic with 11 million and then...
get this...
ahsoka tano with 4 million...
there were apparently 3.5 million droids in the factory her and barriss blew up, who all count. that absolute icon killed 3.5 million droids at age 14
barriss, my dear, is of course right after her with the 3.5 million. then wrecker with 2.5 million and lando with 1.8 million.
and next is luke skywalker, because he blew up the death star and killed 1.6 million people with it. again, a way higher number than id expected but i also live in a country with a population less than that so i have a really hard time imagining that amount of people. still, it's insane
and after that we have count dooku with a slightly lower number of 1.5 million. that one's, again, not surprising and in this case id even expected more
the most shocking thing to me is actually the fact that anakin skywalker, darth vader, is in 14th place. apparently he killed only 150k people on screen. i mean we all know his kill count is probably in the millions by the end of his life but damn, 150k is a shockingly low number considering who he is and what he's done. and most of that is droids anyway
(rex, holdo, hardcase, grievous, rey and saw gerrera are other notable characters in the top 20)

Could I have a second request please? 13 and 37 with Wrecker? Thanks so much for writing! 🎉
Hello @merkitty49, thank you for the awesome request.
I love Wrecker, all I want is to be hugged by him. So this is a somewhat indulgent fic. Tiny bit. Anyway, enjoy. It's smaller than the other fic, but I hope you enjoy it either way.
Love oo
Never Abandon You
Warnings: Breaking someone else's stuff, repairs, discussing dream, anxiety of abandonment, tears, comfort, kisses, caresses, I think that's it. If I miss any please let me know.

All you could hear from inside the ship was Wrecker’s frantic voice, “Please be okay. Please be okay, please be okay—”
“Wrecker?” You slowly step on to the ship, and as soon as you see him, you have to fight back a laugh. “Wrecker, what … ahem, what’s going on?”
As soon as his eyes locked on yours, you could see fear in his eyes, “Mesh’la, I screwed up!”
“What happened?” You walk closer and you see Tech’s spare goggles in Wrecker’s hands, the lens is cracked, and it looks like he tried to tape it back together. “Oh sweetheart, what happened?”
“Well I was too wired to fall asleep right away, so I came here to work out, and while I was distracted, I … I accidentally stepped on his spare ones.”
“Thank goodness it wasn’t his main set. Okay, I think I can help you with this, pass me his goggles, and if you can grab my toolbox from up top that will help.”
“On it!” He didn’t even think twice as he handed you Tech’s goggles, you slowly and methodically removed the tape Wrecker used, trying to keep the adhesive residue on the tape and not on the goggles themselves. Shortly, you had all the pieces of Tech’s goggles laid out on Gonk’s surface.
Wrecker watched you work in awe of your talent, passing your tools without a second to spare as you asked for each of them. You were almost done, when he noticed the look on your face, tilting his head slightly as he looked at you, “Mesh’la, why are you up?” It finally hit him that you were even up, “Can’t sleep?”
You cleared your throat as you glanced up at him, for a brief second before focusing back on the goggles, “I had that dream again.” You kept your head down, not wanting to see the worry in Wrecker’s eyes.
“Mesh’la, you know we’d never abandon you.”
That dream, that horrendous dream of someone walking away from you, and no matter how hard you scream, no matter the tears streaming down your face or how outstretched your hand is, they refuse to turn back. You try to run after them, only for you to realize you’re standing in quicksand and the harder you struggle the more it swallows you whole. That’s when it hits you, you’re alone, they didn’t come back for you. They didn’t bother to fight for you, and no matter how much you shower them with love, no matter how much you plead and beg, they leave you alone, to be swallowed by the darkness.
Wrecker gently touches your shoulder, softly puts the weight of his hand on you letting you know he was there. He was always there. “Mesh’la, please look at me” he tilted his head down to catch your eyes; and as much as you wanted to avoid him, you couldn’t. Not when he speaks in that soft tone, when he does everything he can to get you to look at him. And especially, since you finished putting back Tech’s goggles.
Despite your inner voice, your eyes slowly shift and focus on him.
“Mesh’la, we would never leave you. You know that. We all love you. You’re family and our friend.” He took a deep breath as he shifted closer, his hand cupping your cheek, “I’ll never leave you. Even if I lose my mind and it tries to tell me to leave you behind, I couldn’t. My …” he cleared his throat, “my heart won’t let me leave you.”
Tears slide down your cheeks as you look at Wrecker, “You mean it?”
“Mesh’la, I love you; you know that. Why would I ever leave you? You are my soul, my heart, and my breath. You’re my life. How could I leave the very person that makes my heart beat?”
“I don’t know” you wipe away a tear, “I know it doesn’t make sense. I know you’d never leave, I know you love me, but every time I have that dream - - everything I know … it just…”
“It just gets drowned out by the nightmare.” You nod in agreement, wiping another tear, as Wrecker guides you to his lap, he holds you close, his arms caging you in keeping you safe. He presses a kiss to your forehead as one of his hands gently strokes your head. “Mesh’la, regardless of how much that dream drowns out your reality, I’ll be there to pull you out. My arms are strong enough to lift a shuttle, I can lift you out of your nightmare.”
You bury your face into the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent, “Thank you, love. I love you, more than I can say.”
“I love you, too. Nothing you say or do, no outside force, or even inside force could make me abandon you. Even death won’t make me leave you.” He places a gentle kiss on your temple, holding you as close as possible, “Okay? I promise. I will never leave you.”

Bad Batch Theory Time
I’ve been thinking and what if season 3 of the Bad Batch is the final one but it parallels Return of the Jedi? Think about it. The Bad Batch so far seems to be paralleling the OG Trilogy.
The first season was like A New Hope. Like Luke, the Bad Batch find themselves thrust into something bigger than themselves when Order 66 is initiated. They spend the rest of the season trying to figure their new place in the changing galaxy. At the end, something is destroyed, bad guys get away, but our heroes are still ok. In A New Hope, Luke and the Rebels emerge unscathed and ready for a new adventure.
Then we have the second season, or The Empire Strikes Back. Both Empire and BB S2 end on a cliffhanger with our heroes in shambles. Luke learns the truth about Vader, loses a hand, and Han is captured and shipped off to Jabba. Similarly, we lose Tech, Crosshair and Omega are captured, and Hunter & co. are left to lick their wounds.
It seems like season 3 of the BB (which is inevitable) could follow Return of the Jedi. Think about it, Crosshair and Omega ultimately being rescued or escaping could parallel Han’s rescue. A happy ending would parallel the celebration on Endor. Hunter, like Luke, will be even more serious after losing someone so dear.
These are just my observations but I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do y’all think this show is paralleling the OG Trilogy?

Dear Vector Prime, I'm familiar with Rhinox's cameo and offscreen death in Armada, but what were Cheetor, Airrazor, Terrorsaur and Predacon up to around that time and in the aftermath?
Dear Beastlier Bonder,
Those individuals all had stories of their own, and their various fates never intertwined. Nevertheless, I shall attempt to provide summaries of their activities.
Cheetor, as Galvatron stated prior, was a member of the Wreckers. Cheetor was known for his stealthy abilities, and for the ego that came from multiple successful infiltration missions. Sadly, like many of the Wreckers, he met his end at the hands of the Decepticon Skywarp, who severed his thrusters in flight mode and sent him falling to a lethal crash.
Airazor was one of the most loyal and professional of all Autobots, which made her forced betrayal as a result of shadowplay all the more traumatizing. While in their thrall, she was driven to help the Decepticon generals Deadlock and Thrust in poisoning the waters of Tlalak, leading to the planet's downfall and a defeat for the Autobots. She underwent counseling for this after the Unicron Battles with Red Alert, and mostly recovered by the time of the search for the Planet Keys, but she would always bear scars from this incident.
Terrorsaur was a member of the Decepticon rank and file, who never accomplished much despite his relative level of skill—something that you can likely attribute to his arrogance. Nevertheless, Terrorsaur fought in the Unicron Battles, survived, and reluctantly entered an era of peace with the Autobots afterward. Still believing himself to be destined for greater things, he attempted to join Scorponok and his Terrorcons, only to be rebuffed due to not being one of Megatron's so-called "elite warriors".
Predacon ignored the matter of Unicron's emergence, so caught up was he in his drive to "evolve" Cybertronians into techno-organic beast modes. When Scorponok and his Terrorcons entered the scene, he found them a subject worthy of intense study. It wasn’t until the hunt for the Cyber Planet Keys that he became an active thread, assuming the form of an Animatronian theropod and staging an uprising on the Jungle Planet. He got so far as challenging Scourge, only to meet his end at the hands of the dragon bot's axe blade.
