Y/N couldn’t believe she had let the group drag her to one of the places she hated the most—parties. The only reason why she accepted was because she had just moved to New York after years of living in another country, and she missed her friends. Especially when she heard the news about their attack and the death of Wes and Liv. She needed to be with them, so she transferred to Blackmore University.

“Can you at least pretend you’re enjoying yourself?” Mindy asked, trying not to laugh at the girl’s scowl.

“No, at least people will get the memo. I swear if one more frat boy offers me to go upstairs I’m starting something.”

“Hey, you wanna go upstairs?” a voice from behind her teased.

Y/N laughed as she turned around. “Hi, Chad. You’re the only frat boy I tolerate… most of the time.”

“I missed your grumpiness so bad.” he hugged her. “By the way, this is Ethan. Eth, this is Y/N, my best friend who just moved and our new roomie.”

Standing beside Chad was the tallest 20-year-old Y/N had ever seen. With perfect brown curls and magnetic brown eyes, he was also the most gorgeous guy Y/N had ever met.

Very aware of the pretty girl’s intense eyes on him, Ethan blushed. In an act of nervousness, he foolishly extended his hand. “Nice to meet you.”

Y/N looked down at his hand and with a smile, she shook it. “Nice to meet you, too. I heard a lot about you. Chad is kinda in love.”

He truly spoke a lot about him, and Y/N thought their bromance was everything.

“Damn right. He is my boy.” Chad squeezed his male best friend’s shoulder. “I think you two are going to get along great. You can bitch about parties together while the rest of the group have fun.”

“Have they been dragging you to a lot of parties?” she asked in a sympathetic tone.

“Sadly, yes.” the boy laughed. “It’s nice to know I won’t be miserable alone anymore.”

Y/N giggled. “Hey, thanks for letting me stay in your dorm, by the way. I know we don’t know each other, so I appreciate it.”

“No problem at all, really. Chad says you make the best coffee in the world, and coffee is practically what keeps me alive in college. So my reasons might not be selfless at all.”

“I share the sentiment, and I’ll gladly make you coffee anytime you want. I promise.”

“That’s a dangerous promise to make. I truly do drink a lot of coffee.”

“Trust me, she could make a run for your money. She hasn’t had coffee for like three hours and she’s already Grouchy Smurf.” Chad spoke, reminding the two teens that they weren’t alone. “I’m telling you, you’re going to get along great.”

“I believe it. Hell, I might just have replace you already.” Y/N exchanged a smile with Ethan.

Chad rolled his eyes and scoffed, acting annoyed. Truth was, ever since he had met Ethan, the only thing he could think was what a perfect match he would be for Y/N. Sam and Tara could see it too, but Mindy thought Y/N was way out of his league.

“Whatever, you two party poopers can hide in the corner. I’m going to party.” the boy said, leaving them alone.

Time flew too fast, which was unusual considering they were at a party, but between getting to know each other and light-hearted jokes, they realized almost three hours had passed and together they decided to call it a night.

“Sorry I wasn’t here this afternoon to welcome you. I lost track of time at the library.” Ethan said once they entered their dorm.

“Don’t worry about it. We didn’t do much anyways, they just helped me unpack and then I took the most awesome nap.”

Ethan smiled. “Yeah, you look way too energetic.”

“And you look like you’re two seconds away from collapsing on the spot.” she laughed. “Go rest.”

“Are you going to bed?”

“I’ll probably make some tea and read for a while, I’m not tired.”

“I can keep you company.” he offered. Y/N smiled, he was trying hard to keep his eyes open yet he was still there making sure she didn’t feel alone.

“No, it’s okay. You look very tired and I don’t mind some alone time, really. Thanks, tho. You’re very sweet. “

“Fine, but if you need anything wake me up. I’m serious.”

“Okay, thanks. Good night, Ethan.”

Ethan yawned and mumbled a quick “Night, Y/N/N. It’s was nice to meet you.”

It was a Sunday morning and Y/N woke up in a good mood, so she decided to make breakfast for Ethan and her. Starting with the coffee Ethan had become obsessed with ever since the first time she made it for him, and then she tried to make toasts. Keyword: tried.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck.” she cursed, taking the burnt toasts out of the toaster. “Idiot!”

“Well, good morning to you too.” a sarcastic raspy voice said from the other side of the stool.

Y/N turned around to face the curly-haired boy. “Sorry, Eth. Good morning. I tried to make us toasts but I burnt them.”

Ethan smiled and walked towards her. “Thank you, you didn’t have to. Let me do it, you already did coffee.”

Their shoulders brushed and they stood still, looking at each other in shock. The moment lasted for only a second, but it was a meaningful one. Just one look and a small touch, but they felt enough.

It had been a month since Y/N moved in with the two boys and met the rest of the group. And even though she had built a nice friendship with Anika and Quinn, it was safe to say that Ethan was the one she had connected the most with.

“So, what are your plans for today? Chad already left for the gym and then he’s going to Tara’s.”

“I honestly don’t feel like going out, so maybe I’ll stay in, watch some movies.” Ethan shrugged, giving her a cup of coffee.

“Do you mind some company? I don’t feel like going out either”

Ethan smiled widely. “Of course. What’s your favorite genre?”

“Slashers, horror, suspense… anything gory.”

“Fuck yes. I finally have someone to watch horror movies with.” the boy smiled like a little kid.

“What are you talking about? Mindy’s really into them.” she frowned.

Ethan grimaced and let out a chuckle. “Mindy kinda hates me.”

“What? Why? Are you sure?” she asked, completely taken aback. Mindy sure was a peculiar human, but Ethan was so sweet and funny, there’s no way you could not like him.

“Yup. Surprised you haven’t noticed, she doesn’t hide it.”

“She’s a little distrustful, because of what happened last year.”

“I know. But that’s not it, she actually dislikes me. She says I have the profile of a killer, and I swear to God I feel the disgust on her eyes everytime I’m near. She says something mean about me whenever she can, and she bluntly said you’re too good to be my friend.”

Y/N’s jaw fell open and her heart hurt a little for him. “That’s a load of bullshit. I’m sorry, Ethan. That’s awful.”

“It’s alright. The rest of the group is cool with me, and Chad is already my best friend. I can take Mindy’s comments.”

“Well, you shouldn’t have to bear with them. I swear if she says something about you in front of me I—”

“You’re not going to say anything.” he cut her off. “I don’t want any tension, I’ll just keep on ignoring what she says.”

“Okay, then. I’m not saying anything.”

“Thanks.”

“If you’re present.” she finished. “If she talks about you when you’re not there, I’ll give her my piece of mind. And there’s nothing you can do to make me change my mind.”

“Stubborn woman.” he rolled his eyes.

Y/N gave him a toothy smile. “Proudly.”

Ethan felt like he had been given an electric shock. There was a parade going on inside his stomach, and his heart was beating as if he had ran the longest marathon.

But it was all Y/N and her protectiveness over him. They had known each other for a little over a month, and there she was, becoming his best friend and making him feel cared for and important.

There was one week left until finals, and the anxiety was in the air and printed on Y/N’s and Ethan’s faces. They were both sat on the couch—papers, notebooks and colourful markers sprawled around them—and talking to themselves under their breaths.

“That’s it, I’m out. I can’t stand the sight of you two.” Chad said, pocketing his phone as he stood up from his chair almost tripping over one of the empty cups of coffee on the floor.

“I’m so sorry we’re invested in having a future.” Y/N said sarcastically “If one day you need a doctor,” she pointed to herself and then at Ethan “or a lawyer, we’re definitely not going to be there.”

Chad raised his eyebrows, and bit his lip trying not to laugh. “Okay, whatever you say.” he raised his arms. “Good luck with this one, Ethan.”

“Ethan’s fine, he doesn’t get on my nerves. Unlike you.”

“Because you’re one and the same.”

“I smell jealousy there, Chad. Are you mad your boyfriend replaced you?” Y/N smirked.

“He didn’t replace me. I’m still his favourite, right, Eth?”

Ethan diverted his gaze. “I plead the fifth.”

“He doesn’t want to hurt your feelings, but the answer’s clearly yes.” Chad said to Y/N. “Goodbye.”

Once the door closed, the only sounds that could be heard in the living room were the turning of pages and some frustrated sighs. Ethan was the one who broke first, “Okay, let’s just stop. You’re going to get migraines and I can sense you’re about to burst out crying.”

“Thank fuck, I didn’t want to be the weak one and say it first.” Y/N said in relief, closing her textbook. “Want coffee?”

“Sure” Ethan said with a laugh.

“So…” Y/N started. They had sat on the balcony, with a cup of coffee, to admire the streets of New York at midnight.

“So…”

“Who’s your favorite? Chad or me?” she asked with a playful smile.

Ethan rolled his eyes and tugged her close, so her back was resting against his chest. They both closed their eyes and enjoyed each other’s presence.

Something they loved about their friendship was that there wasn’t any need to fill the silences. There wasn’t any awkwardness because they had learnt to communicate without words, they could read each other’s expressions and body language. Everyone in the group could see they had a unique bond.

Y/N and Ethan never had to say anything for the group to know something stronger was developing between them. Something more than a friendship. They could hear it in their silences, they could feel it on the way home from university—both would walk beside each other and absentmindedly brush their knuckles or lean against the other—, and they could definitely notice the way they looked at each other. Whether the other was looking or not, they were constantly searching for one another. They were falling in love, you could see it even with the lights out.

“Ethan?”

“Yes?”

“You’re my favourite, too.”

Ethan smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Y/N fell asleep listing to his heartbeats.

Things changed after than night. The two friends finally realized what the rest of the group had known for months—they were in love. And with the realization came the fears. Fear of rejection, of ruining a perfect friendship, fear of those feelings being one-sided. And so they spent days trying to push down those feelings until it became unbearable.

“There you are.” Y/N said with a smile once he found Ethan lying on the rooftop. Now that finals were over, the group decided to take a well-deserved vacations and rented a house on the beach. “Can I join you?”

“Always.” Ethan smiled patting the place beside him.

“What a view. Can we stay forever?” Y/N said in a content tone. The sun was setting, painting the sky with pretty shades of bright orange and soft pink, contrasting with the clear blue water of the sea.

I already get to see the prettiest view everyday, was Ethan’s immediate thought. But he couldn’t say that, so instead he went with, “I wish.”

Silence followed those words. This time, it wasn’t the comfortable peaceful one they were accustomed to. There was this loudness in Y/N’s strange expression, like she wanted to get something off her chest but she was overthinking it way too much.

“You can tell me anything, you know?” Ethan said softly.

Y/N looked into his eyes and moved her body closer to his. Ethan’s heart started beating in anticipation, something about that move made him hopeful.

“I just…” she paused. “You’re my best friend, Eth.” they were so close she might as well have whispered those words against his lips.

Ethan smiled and closed the distance painfully slow. If she was any other person, he might have had second thoughts, but not with Y/N. He could read her like his favourite book. “I’m in love with you.” he whispered when the kiss ended. Their foreheads were touching and their eyes were still closed.

(buckle up cause I got a lot)

If Spamton tries to talk about personal memories that he tried very hard to bury, (like his puppitfication), he physically cant. If he talks about a memory that overwhelms him his body would spaz out in glitches and error signs. (kinda like a system crash)

I feel like if the Adds were to get the grasp of healing magic, the first one to perfect it would be Clicks. (bc he already makes tea that heals you!)

Sponsor owns a motorcycle! (because they thought it made them look cool) And regularly takes it out for a spin when he's done with work for the day.

Survey is a secret horror fan, and when having movie nights with the other adds, they would always recommend horror movies that they personally like.

I feel like Banner really focused on clothing after Spamton went missing, (he only really did this as a side hustle/hobby beforehand) as it was a good distraction and a way to cope, and he found out he was really good at it! And made it his primary business.

When an addison gives a gift with no underlying intention/price tag attached, it is seen as a sign of a genuine friendship, familial, or courtship relations, (like when they all gifted Spamton the new phone) as all addisons are selfish in nature

the first one i also share! and it's a bit of why i headcanon swatch feels distant from spamton out of everybody he talks to. Like they were rlly close at one point and talked a lot, and swatch was his shoulder at high stress points in his job. However when the Horrors happened, he physically couldn't explain anything, leaving swatch to wonder what exactly happened to him and then build up resentment for keeping them in the dark. They even tried to help at first, but help turned to hate real fast when neo got involved.

i love the idea over clicks and spamton maybe bonding over some healing magic, like i had something similar in mind for a future chapter but this rlly has me smiling at the possibilities. spamton would maybe give him some tips- for a price. He IS thinking about trying to capitalize the whole healing gig after all since he's good at it.

banner going into clothing after spamton disappeared makes sense, especially with keeping busy trying to forget about him (it's awful hard to with the mannequins looking the way they do, but maybe that's a good thing in the long run) also i adore the mom friend vibe these headcanons have about him. i'd love to add on to the helmet thing, as I feel Clicks would join him on this (he's protective) but sponsor (and maybe even survey) claims it's fine if it was just once.

i completely agree with surv and the holidays. honestly i feel like they're the most ambitious with holiday sales and are unmatched, kind of peaking during seasonal sales in general (seeing how many survey ads are in place when customer shopping is at an all time high). spamton was indifferent to the holiday craze (cuz even when addisons were at their busiest, he wasn't) but liked when everything settled down after they weren't as busy to talk with him again. I have a picture in mind of survey chilling with spamton and realizing this, how happy he is when they're not busy (and feeling as if he was supposed to be), and being happy in return, if not sympathetic to him.

jevil pranking the adds and being a general nuisance is just so funny to me. gosh i can just imagine the absolute chaos he'd bring to a tea shop, mixing up the names and flavors, upon the other things (especially the wallpaper that has me cracking up with ideas). spamton, at the request (and payment) of clicks, gets jevil to stop (maybe. it's unclear if hes actually stopped completely or if there's smaller pranks here and there) but he secretly finds it hilarious.

Top Ten Annoying Children in Choices

There are many children encountered throughout the Choices universe, some more palatable than others. Though they’re all arguably some degree of annoying, this list ranks the top ten of the most annoying children. At least, in my opinion, anyway. So sit back, relax, and read as a 21 year-old grad school student with real life responsibilities tears fictional children to shreds.

10. The Heir.

The Heir is unique in that she’s the only directly customizable child on this list with six different sprites you can choose for her regardless of your own appearance. Throughout TRH and TRF, I can truthfully say I didn’t find anything endearing about her. Like, at all. It certainly didn’t help that PB wrote her like they write animals. But her personality did get slightly better as she aged as the books went on. The same cannot be said about her appearance, however. In fact, I’d say her appearance got worse as the books went on. The Heir as a baby looks perfectly fine. The Heir as a toddler looks like she’d infect me with COVID-19 by spitting a half-chewed chicken nugget into my coffee. And The Heir as a four year-old looks like she’d beat me unconscious with a cane and call me “whippersnapper”.

9. Daughter (MOTY).

Our daughter in MOTY is actually the only child on this list with a genuinely good design. She looks genuinely cute, and that is high praise from someone who doesn’t think kids are cute. I was also sympathetic to her plight as she didn’t fit in well at school and found herself perpetually bullied. However, PB wrote her in such an obnoxious way that I just couldn’t help but be annoyed by her. She’s a gifted and incredibly smart child, but PB could’ve written her so, so much better. To me, she just came across as a slightly less obnoxious Brainy Smurf because of how badly her dialogue and writing were done.

8. Taari.

Taari was a Nothing Character, plain and simple. He didn’t add anything to Endless Summer, and he didn’t appear much at all, which is why he’s not very high on the list. But my god. This kid had practically no sense of self-preservation and Seraxa constantly had to bail his ass out of danger and scold him for getting himself into it in the first place. Kinda like another kid who’s much, much higher on the list, but more on that later.

7. Camellia.

Camellia didn’t appear much at all, but when she did, GOD was she annoying. She mostly appeared in RoE where she and Jiro were constant obstacles during Jess’s job as a tour guide, though she was much less of a brat than Jiro was.

6. Bartie.

You knew going into this list that Bartie would appear here. You knew. Let me summarize it. Annoying family, hideous design as a baby, whiny as fuck, named after Barthelemy. Though interestingly enough, I’d say he and Bianca are the least detestable of the Walker family, which really says a lot.

5. Lula Jacobs.

Kids have no place in horror stories unless they’re integral to the plot, as is the case with ILITW and THoBM. Lula serves absolutely no purpose in Bloodbound and isn’t even remotely endearing. In addition to her character adding nothing of substance to the story, our character is forced to care for her just because. Also? She’s fucking creepy, man.

4. Jiro.

We’re reaching the really annoying ones now. Jiro, like Camellia, mainly appears in RoE as an obstacle during Jess’s job as a tour guide. Unlike Camellia, though, he is almost always the one who causes trouble. He whines, he tries to throw spitballs, he splashes Camellia on the boat ride, and is generally a nuisance during any of his appearances.

3. Augustus Blackwood.

Augustus “August” Blackwood is Vanessa Blackwood’s insufferable, classist little shit of a son. He bullies the main character’s daughter and doesn’t have a pleasant bone in his body. As someone who was bullied myself, I wanted nothing more than for Luz Mendez to punt this little asshole into the sun. He would have been number #1 on this list if he’d appeared more and had a bigger role because I know my annoyance would’ve gone up if he had.

2. Isaac & Lyra Achilles.

Yes. These are two kids. However, due to them being twins, ALWAYS appearing together, and having the exact same personalities, I’m ranking them as one entity. Anyway, these kids are spoiled rotten, uncouth, uncontrollable, arrogant, and remorseless. They are ungrateful little leeches and I was so happy to get rid of them. I cannot stand spoiled children. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.

1. May.

But Binglebonkus, why is May your number one over these spoiled, entitled little brats? Well, hypothetical person, I’m so glad you asked. While May’s personality is at least pleasant, she has ZERO self-preservation and the most insane plot armor out of anyone in Choices when there’s no reason for her to even have any in the first place. She regularly gets herself into grave danger, forcing others to risk their lives to help her. Feather lost his status as an Elder saving her life, so you’d think she’d be at least a little more careful, right?

Apparently not. We have to save her several times throughout the book and even spend a sizable chunk of one chapter during a battle trying to chase after her and get her to safety. But that’s not even the end of it. Remember how I said children have no place in horror stories unless they’re integral to the plot? May adds nothing to the story like Lula Jacobs, and also like Lula, our character is forced to care for her WAAAAAY more than they really should. The only things that endear her to the player are that she’s super young and presumably orphaned.

With all that being said, PB constantly pushes May-centric diamond scenes on us. Gather plants with May. Buy May this plushie. Tell May a story. Build flower beds with May. PB seems to have wanted May to be like Clementine from The Walking Dead and have us care for her and want to protect her, so they tried to achieve that by pushing diamond scenes with her.

Unlike Clementine, though, May is an incredible liability. Yes, she apparently knows about plants and gardening, but she constantly endangers herself and others, making her unquestionably more of a liability than an asset.

To recap: while her personality is pleasant, I loathe May because she adds nothing to the story whilst being an unrealistic character in that she constantly endangers herself and others while somehow surviving every encounter no matter how severe (like being the only person the Queen didn’t eat, which I call bullshit on) and receives nothing more than a metaphorical slap on the wrist from anyone who has to haul her ass out of trouble. And of course, everyone still unquestionably adores her even after she nearly gets them killed trying to save her for the umpteenth time.

Basically, May is a veritable waste of manpower and resources and could have been a good character, but she was a garbage one instead.

Now for the final classpect chosen for the polls we've got Erik! First of the classpects in which I was certain about the class, not so much the aspect. Once again, dqxi spoilers!

I was somewhere between classpecting Erik as a Rogue of Time or Breathe.

The Rogue is a passive class, described as someone who invites the redistribution of, with, or through their aspect for the benefit if others. In other terms, they're sort of like a Robin Hood! They 'steal' [from/through] their aspect and give it to their team. From my understansing, Rogues are also known for having a perceived lack of their aspect, similar to a Page, but with a tendency to give the little they do have away.

As for aspects, I've got two I've been flipping between. Time is one of two essential aspects of a successful SBURB session, revolving around things like Rhythm, Inevitability, and Traditions/Patterns; there's also a big theme of Death and Sacrifice for Time players.

Breathe, like I said with Jasper, focuses on Freedom, Adaptability, and Leadership. The leadership theme in Blood and Breathe is a little different: Blood focuses on the community and keeping together, strengthening bonds, while Breathe is a more detached leader.

Okay so. It feels like a copout to have the 'thief with a heart of gold' character be the Rogue BUT LIKE SYLV- it just fits. And I have REASONS why I think he could be either Time or Breath.

I wanted to make SOMEONE a Time player, wanted to have them be a successful session. The self sacrificial themes (and to a degree, pattern/rhythm I think) are heavy with Erik, ever since the beginning: he took the brunt of the Vikings abuse for his sister, he got himself caught on the off chance some legend was real, he took a literal leap of faith off of a waterfall for someone he just met, sacrifices his memories so he has a shot at protecting his friends. He makes time for his teammates by giving them openings, cuts down the enemies time with his speed, etc. The themes of Death are also there, with him grieving his sister turned golden statue and her later almost killing him in a rage. (Actually lmao Mia could probably be a Thief, the active counterpart to a Rogue which is funny)

As for Breathe, we'd focus on the Freedom and Adaptability themes. This fits with the 'perceived lack of aspect' seeing as he didn't HAVE freedom, and even when he did he still spent it all on trying to find a solution for his sisters curse. He's adapted to every situation he's been in, knows what to say or how to act. Erik's story could be said to be him accepting his aspect of Freedom, not allowing himself to be tied down, and allowing himself to keep some.

So..... I may sort of kinda wanted him to be a Time player cuz 1) The colors contrast with his hair and 2) I didn't know who else to make a Time guy. Breathe suits him, it REALLY does but he's already BLUE I can't PUT HIM IN MORE BLUE. It's stupid ik but it is driving me insane. Also his super fast moves remind me of flashstepping and Dave Strider....... The more I write the more and more he sounds like the Breath guy I am Suffering.

Le sign. Smurf lookin mf /aff. Might need to start looking at someone else being the Time guy or..... act II end of the world is a Doomed timeline and Serenica is a Time player? So she helps them initiate a Scratch and have the Luminary go back to create a viable timeline?

Summary: Your typical “Oh no, the air conditioning broke at the compound on a really hot day” with a twist. Your also a Jotun as well...and Loki doesn’t know. Hot Climate + Secrets = Uncomfortable Reader 

Pairing: Loki Laufeyson x Jotun!Reader

Warning(s): Kinda angsty?, kissy kissy, hot days (idk might be triggering to some people), lemme know if I missed anything :)

Note: Whatever is written in italics is a flashback 

The heat was abysmal. The hot air nipped at your overheated skin, making you feel as if your insides were sizzling. 

It was an abnormal summer; the government blaming global warming for the unusually high temperatures. But normally you would’ve been fine. 

But then the air conditioning broke. 

At first it wasn’t too bad. There was just a mild sense of discomfort in the morning, but you didn’t feel the need to shift into your original form. But as the day progressed, so did the heat. 

You were going to have to shift soon; but you wouldn’t let yourself. Your friendship with Loki was too important. You would happily succumb to your discomfort for eternity if it meant that Loki felt comfortable. 

He hated Jotuns...well that’s what you were told anyways. 

It was the day that Loki had arrived at the tower; a day of anger for most of your fellow Avengers, but a day of celebration for you. You were finally going to see someone of your heritage again. 

As soon as Loki stepped a single foot into the room, silence fell upon it, and all eyes turned to face him. Everyone was on edge--well, everyone but Thor and yourself. 

Of course, you were very accepting of Loki, but just as you were about to introduce yourself, Thor quickly pulled you aside. 

“What in the name of Yggdrasil?”

Thor frowned, “Lady Y/n, I apologise for this because I know of your excitement, but you mustn’t tell Loki of your natural heritage.”

You were gobsmacked for sure. “Wouldn’t it be good for him to know that he’s not alone here? That someone knows what it feels like?” 

Thor sighed, “He hates Jotuns, Y/n. I do not wish for you to be treated harshly because of his already preconceived beliefs. Please, do not tell him.” 

You slowly nodded your head. Anything to make Loki comfortable. 

Sure, it would’ve been great to have someone to relate to--especially in times like this--but ensuring Loki’s happiness and comfortability in the tower was the only goal in your mind. 

You truly appreciated Loki’s friendship, and anything that would tamper with that was strictly a ‘no-no’. 

Eventually, you made our way into the common room and planted onto the couch. Your groan of pain didn’t go unnoticed by anyone; well anyone besides Loki who was camped out in the freezer. 

“Why don’t you go join your fellow smurf?” 

You whipped your head in Tony’s direction and shushed him as quietly as she could. 

“You know I can’t go blue, Tony.” The sadness and pain in your voice didn’t calm the team at all. 

Clint pipped up, “Well, why not?” 

You took a deep breath and scanned the roomy quickly, ensuring that Loki was still locked in the freezer. 

“As you all know, I’m a Jotun, just like Loki. When he came to the tower, Thor and I made the decision to hide my heritage from him. All I want is for Loki to feel comfortable here. He didn’t want to be here in the first place, and I didn’t want to make him feel anymore uncomfortable than he was.”

You sighed, “I haven’t seen my natural form in about a year now...”

Everyone stared at you. Why? You had absolutely no clue. It’s not like you had said or done anything horrible. Sure, not being able to be in your natural form was a challenge at first, but you slowly got used to it. 

Still in silence, you got a bit nervous and began rambling. 

“Guys, it’s really not all that bad. Sure, I haven’t seen myself turn blue for a while; big whoop. I’ll eventually see it again.”

When no one still acknowledged your presence, you slowly turned around and came face-to-face with Loki. A look of pain, sorrow and anger clear on his face. 

Slowly, you stood up and began to make your way out of the room. You had officially done it; you had ruined your friendship with Loki. Just as you were about to leave the room someone pulled you back. 

As soon as your skin began to turn blue you knew it was Loki. You tried to remove yourself from his embrace but found no success. 

His husky voice whispered in her ear, “Look at me, Y/n.” 

You shook your head and refused to meet his gaze. You couldn’t face him if he was ending your friendship. 

He tilted your chin upwards, “Look at me, Y/n.”

You stared into his ruby-coloured eyes; just knowing that your own blood-red ones were staring back at him. 

A tear slid down your cheek, “I’m sorry. You weren’t meant to find out.”

Loki shook his head and dragged her back into the freezer with him. After closing the door, he slowly turned around.

“H-how could you hide this from me?” The stutter in his voice spoke a thousand words. You had really hurt him. 

You took a shaky breath and looked at the floor, “I- I was going to tell you the day you first arrived at the tower; but Thor and I thought it would be better if you didn’t know. I didn’t want you to hate me...”

You heard him shuffle closer. “I could never hate you.” 

You lifted your head up, both pairs of ruby eyes meeting. “Really?”

He took both of your blue hands in his own, “I could care less if you were a Light Elf, Fire Giant or Jotun. Your friendship has made every moment on this atrocious planet worth it.”

Your eyes began to water, “I’m so sorry for not telling you before.”

With that, you pulled him into a hug. And Norns, it felt like Valhalla. 

He kissed the top of your head, “You thought you were doing the right thing, Darling. I cannot fault you for that. But please...”

He took a deep breath, “Please don’t ever hide this beautiful form of yours from me.”

Before you knew what hit you, his lips had collided with your own. Your hot lips danced with his cool ones, a puff of steam emanating from it.  

Your peaceful moment was ruined by none other than Tony, “I don’t need any little smurfs running around the tower.”

Loki pulled back and silently whispered a few curses. 

“One day, I’m going to turn him into a smurf.”

You giggled. “We’ll all be smurfs together.”

With that, you took his lips once more.

So in The Smurf Star Harmony dresses in Scaredy’s Scarlet outfit+heels, which in episode is just to get away from the fans but,, also means he just. Has that in his wardrobe for some reason. And you know what? The more I thought about it, the more that slaps. Harmony likes wearing dresses just as much as suits. And at the end of the day, It’s a piece of cloth. Harmony doesn’t see why the girls should be the only ones enjoying it – look at Clumsy! Clumsy gets it. And Jokey, but well Jokey is Jokey, I don’t think he’s ever needed an excuse, plus, it makes dancing twice as fun. Besides, Crescendo and Surprise were already pre-approved connoisseurs of gender-fuckery involving clothes and makeup so everyone’s wardrobe gets a little extra pizzazz in that house, as a treat.

Anon, that is so sweet! Thank you so much! ❤️ The validation for someone who loves to hear herself talk. Haha! The way I love Brio and every unspoken thing between them. I could talk for hours. And so funny because in the show’s heyday I was such a passive watcher. It was the pandemic that really escalated my fixation and fandom participation. I know I missed so much fun involvement. But really though, I can’t believe how active and committed this fandom still is, over a year after cancelation. Once Brio get their hooks in you they have you forever, I guess.

I think if I had to pick my favorite headcanon (there are so many!), it would be about this smurfing scene.

I was absolutely obsessed with this whole scene for a while there! The way Rio is just sitting out there. Not texting her, not calling her. Just sitting there in the dark. She only saw him because he flashed his brights at her when she was taking trash out. So by all presumptions he’d been there a while. And when she asked him what he’s doing he said, “Just thinking.” Oh, you’re thinking? What are you thinking about, Rio? Sitting alone in the dark outside your gf’s house. 🤡

The headcanon is that s4 finally started to show us glimpses of brooding Rio, and in this particular moment he was sitting in his car, regretting all his life choices. This came on the heels of one of his first vulnerable moments – “Kinda like being almost pregnant,” when he touched the wet money. He showed his hurt in that moment and I think that hurt continued to show in this smurfing scene. He’d been all in his head out there all alone. Maybe hating himself, maybe hating her. Maybe wondering why he keeps fucking with her at all. Wondering why he even cares that he took all her stuff but she didn’t even care and just bought new stuff with HIS money, and was inside with her husband who she kept enabling despite him being a terrible person. Rio didn’t know exactly how he was terrible. Just that he was. And on top of all that, she was in there thinking about what wonderful people she and her dumbass husband are, and thinking how Rio’s a bad person while Rio himself is outside her house fixating on her entitled ass and helping her and trying to think of ways to divert heat off her while she’s probably plotting to kill him or jail him or whatever it is she decided to plot next. Just that turmoil in his head, I’m convinced he was fidgeting his beautiful little fingers and brooding about Beth.

And then she came outside and he flagged her down because he just couldn’t help himself and she acted so put out by his presence like usual.

“Just thinking.” About you.

“You’d rather I do it inside?” Where you’re hiding your true self as if you’re better than me. As if you deserve my kindness. As if you deserve my money. As if you aren’t a conniving bitch who’d kill me if she could and take everything I have, take a father from his son and not blink an eye.

“How’s Dean?” You had enough yet? Has he fucked someone else yet? You like how he makes you feel? How he has no idea who you are? Hates who you are. Wants you back barefoot and pregnant, serving him. But you want him, huh? Wanna spend my money on him? Let him have rule of the kingdom I made? Get me out of the way so you can ruin everything I created? For who? For you? Or for him?

The way he looked at her and the way she didn’t even see how he looked at her in this scene. The way she slinked down in her seat when Dean came outside and Rio watched her with all that self-hating resentment he felt for her. Yeah, he needed something from her. And yeah, he threatened her to get his way. But it cost him something, too. The way this man has no idea how to extricate himself from toxic situations. He almost feels safe in them. Chaos is familiar to victims of abuse so he seeks it out because he doesn’t know how to be without it. And Beth is nothing but chaos.

I appreciate the ask! I can do more of these. There are so many moments between them that are so laden with meaning that’s unspoken and unacknowledged. I just love them. These emotionally stunted little babies with all their big feelings. 🥰🥰🥰

All of Annie’s love interests are tied at 0/10 wouldn’t recommend. I could do a whole separate TED talk on Annie and her problems. 😂

There she stood, in all her sassy glory. Her yellow orbs glisten in the sunlight like cat urine or the moon's glow. A few days prior, y/n decided they were done with being a lonely, sad, and miserable fortnite player and discord mod. They went onto the dark web and searched “Order A Bride.com”. Y/n clicked the first one they saw, someone named Stelle. She was beautiful, and y/n couldn’t care less about her personality. Back to the present, y/n stood frozen. It was love at first sight. They couldn’t take their eyes off of Stelle’s orbs.

Y/n cleared their throat. “Ahem, you are my wife?”

Stelle suddenly became very nervous “y-y-y-y-y-y-y-yes I-I-I-I a-a-a-a-a-a-am……..”

“No need to be worried, Kitten. I will take great care of you.” Y/n laughed darkly. “One rule, don’t make me angry. When I get angry, I see red! You don’t want to see my dark side.” Y/n growled like the alpha werewolf they are.

Stelle flinched in fear. Y/n let Stelle into their house. “You sleep here.” Y/n said as they pointed to a dog cage. “W-what?! B-B-But I’m your w-wife! Don’t I s-sleep with y-you?!” Stelle exclaimed in fear.

“Ugh fine. If you’re going to be a jerk about it.” Y/n groaned. They led Stelle to their room. As soon as Stelle stepped into the room, she passed out. The epic gamer discord mod smell flooded the room and knocked her out. Y/n shrugged and went to their computer to start playing fortnite. Then Y/n remembered something. “Oh my giddily goodness! I am no longer single he he he ha! I am no longer cringe!” Y/n cheered as they spun in their Valorant chair.

Then Stelle woke up. “W-what happened?” She asked worriedly. “Nothing Kitten, you are just weak. Now let’s go watch anime together grrrr.” Y/n growled as they dragged Stelle to the living room couch. Y/n decided to put on My Hero Academia. “I just love Tor-door-oh-key! He is so ka-why-ee! Gosh, look at me sharing all this with you. I’m such a baka!”

Stelle sat there confused and terrified. Then suddenly, she was transported to another dimension. “H-hello?” She called out into the darkness of the void she fell into. Then she saw Y/n. With their 3 foot tall frame and golden hair. (if ur bald, use this line: With their 3 foot tall frame and glistening smooth baldness)

Y/n’s blue ocean skyline galaxy rainbow water rainy icy snowy blue orbs shone in the emptiness. “Y-Y/n?” Stelle called out.

“Hello Kitten.” Y/n spoke, their voice booming with power and dominance. “You have not been good.”

“W-What?! I have been amazing!” Stelle yelled.

“You didn’t follow the one rule.” Y/n screamed in anger. “This is my dark side GRRRRR!!!”

“AAAHHHHHH” Stelle screamed as Y/n bit Stelle’s neck. Stelle felt her teeth fall out and be replaced. She had fangs?!

“W-what happened?!” Stelle asked quickly.

Freaky Tales had been a completely different experience for Jack. Until that movie, he had done roles where his character didn’t have a love interest, much less a kissing scene. It was a thing that had made him nervous since the beginning, because he knew that his co-star, Y/N, had been involved in several romantic comedies so she had experience.

However, his fears were soon erased once he got to know her. Y/N made him feel comfortable and one thing he loved about her was the way she complimented him every time they finished filming a scene together. Jack was immensely glad to call her his co-star and was happy with the chemistry they showed on camera.

The two teenagers relationship soon started resembling their character’s one. Lucid and Vicky were two friends who were obviously into each other, but were too scared of rejection so they kept their feelings to themselves. For that reason, it wasn’t hard for the actors to get into their characters and nail the sentimental parts. And even though both of them were excellent at their job, the whole cast knew there was something deeper there, that there was more than just acting. The two friends could fool each other, but everyone in that set was aware of the way they basically radiated happiness when they were together. Hence why they were all sad when the last day of filming arrived and there hadn’t been any changes on the relationship.

And now, one year later, the cast was finally going to reunite for the premiere of the movie at the Sundance Festival. Y/N and Jack had been looking forward to the event because it had been months since the last time they saw each other.

“Oh my god.” Jack heard a familiar voice speak. He turned his head to the side, spotting his friend who was smiling like the Cheshire cat. Forgetting about the flashing lights and the interviewers, he made his way to her and instantly wrapped her in a hug. “The mullet is back.” she said against his chest.

Jack laughed and stepped back. “Hello to you too.”

“Sorry, hi.” she chuckled. “The mullet is back!”

“Yeah, I heard you the first time.” he rolled his eyes. “I kinda had to bring it back, you were harassing me.” he said in a playful tone.

“I did not harass you, idiot.” she softly pushed his shoulder.

“You have been sending me daily texts for a month, telling me to bring it back.” he pointed out.

“I was doing God’s work.” she shrugged. “You look really good, Jack.”

He felt the warmth spreading on his cheeks. “Thanks, Y/N/N. I missed you.”

“Missed you, too. And Jesus, have you gotten taller?”

He smirked “Maybe you’ve shrunk.”

“Fuck off.” she rolled her eyes.

“Let’s go, smurf.” he grabbed her hand, guiding her towards the carpet to take pictures. “You look gorgeous, by the way.”

They smiled at each other, the butterflies in their stomachs let them know that despite not having been able to see each other often, their feelings were still intact.

Y/N and Jack sat next to each other for the movie screening. It was the third and last day of the festival, and the two friends were sad they were going to be apart again. They hadn’t acknowledged it because they didn’t want to ruin the mood, but their hearts sure felt heavy.

The kissing scene was approaching and they began squirming on their seats, remembering that day at the set and most importantly, how good kissing the other had felt. They both replayed those moments more often that they’d like to admit, and they’d be lying if they said they didn’t want to experience it again.

When the kiss was shown on the big screen, Jack and Y/N couldn’t help looking at each other. They exchanged love-sick smiles and began blushing when they felt the cast’s eyes on them. Trying their best to ignore it, they set their focus on the movie until the credits rolled in.

Now was the part Y/N dreaded the most. not matter how many times she had gone through them, interviews still made her anxious.

“Hey, it’s going to be okay. This time, we’re doing them together.” Jack rubbed her arms. His words calmed down her nerves, and after giving him a quick nod, they walked towards the interviewers.

They started with simple questions, regarding their characters and the movie plot and then the male interviewer finally asked the expected question, “How did you feel during the kissing scene?”

Jack spoke first, “When i first got the script, I was super nervous about the relationship between Lucid and Vicky. It is my first character with a romantic interest, and that made me worry I was going to act awkward, especially because Y/N was used to it. But I soon realised I was being silly, she never once made me feel insecure about it. She helped me a lot, never judged, and always asked if I felt alright. And when the day of the kissing scene came, she basically tired herself out by reassuring me it was going to turn out perfect. So I felt very comfortable during the kissing scene. I’m very glad it was with her, she’s not just an amazing actress, she’s also the best co-star in the world and the sweetest girl I’ve ever met.”

She looked up at him in awe, wondering if he realized he was the most perfect man to ever exist. Okay, maybe she was a little biased considering she was head over heels, but Jack truly was incredible.

“Wow, how could I ever top those words?” she laughed, “I really don’t know what to say. I never doubted he was going to nail his performance, and I’m really glad he felt comfortable with me, because I sure did feel comfortable with him. Since the very first day. I mean, just one look and you can tell he’s got a heart of gold. There was nothing awkward about the kiss because we trust each other so much and we knew that there would be no judgment or weirdness after the director yelled ‘Cut’. We have an amazing friendship.”

“Well, shit- oh sorry, shoot.” he apologised. “You didn’t have a problem with topping my speech, that’s for sure.” he smiled at her, wrapping one arm around her shoulders. “But yes, she’s right. We formed an amazing friendship, and she’s stuck with me forever now.”

God, I hope so, Y/N pleaded internally.

“Kid, come here.” Pedro told Jack once he saw Y/N was nowhere in sight. “I think it’s time. I beg you, ask that girl out.”

“W-what?” Jack squealed. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Come on.” the older actor sighed. “Everyone knows it. To be honest, we expected you to end up together before the filming ended but it’s already been a year and you’re still stuck on the friendzone with her.”

“I don’t know… what if she says no? I might die, and I’m not even kidding.”

“She’s not going to say no, kid. She’s down as bad as you. Ask her out, you’re not going to regret it. Trust me, okay?”

Jack thought about that conversation for the rest of the evening, and he decided to risk it. If Pedro was right and everyone else thought the feelings were mutual, there must really be something between him and Y/N, right? There was only one way to find out.

“I can’t believe it ended.” Y/N pouted.

“Me neither. I had the time of my life.” he smiled. then, after taking a deep breath, he tugged her arm. “Y/N, I need to tell you something.”

“Yeah?”

“I… If I’m wrong, things might turn uncomfortable, but I honestly have a really good feeling about this. And before I ask you, I need you to know that there’s no pressure and that no matter what you say, I’m still going to be here. You’ll always have me, okay?”

“Okay… you can trust me. You’ll always have me too.”

Jack nodded and looking her straight in the eyes, he said, “I really like you, Y/N/N. I’ve liked you for a whole year, and it’s insane the amount of times I wanted to tell you, but fear got the best of me. I just, I don’t want to keep on hiding my feelings. I like you so much it’s consuming me. and I need to ask you, would you like to go on a date with me?”

Y/N had daydreamed about this day for a year, so it felt a bit surreal. but Jack was actually there, in front of her, telling her he liked her and wanted to be more than friends. “It was that day you brought me breakfast at the set.”

“What?” Jack frowned.

“Remember that day I forgot to have breakfast?” Jack nodded. “You told me to wait, and then appeared fifteen minutes later, with my favorite coffee, that vanilla muffin I love and the most beautiful smile ever. That was the day I realized I liked you.”

“For real?” he asked, unable to hide his happiness.

Y/N nodded and quickly raised onto her tip-toes to hug his neck. “I like you so much it’s consuming me.” she repeated his words. “And there’s nothing I’d love more than to go on a date with you.”

He let out a breath of relief and hugged her tightly. “By the way, you’re so good at speeches. This is the second time tonight I’m trying very hard to stop the tears.”

Y/N laughed “Oh, prepare yourself for cheesy posts on instagram with even cheesier captions.”

“You make the posts, I make the playlists. Deal?”

“Deal.”

Hmmm about HawaiiDelilah Twitter person…don’t native Hawaiians have a passive aggressive (or heavy disdain) towards the us government? Since you know….the government overthrown their monarchy and they can’t find their first king due to fear of the us government stealing it at the time.

I would say so many curse words and slurs towards Biden that would make a sailor blush.

Gonna start near the end and then possibly bounce around, the $700 sounds a lot less insulting when you realize those went to everyone in the burn zone and were meant to be a 'we know you've lost everything, which includes your clean pants, food, medications, personal hygiene products, ect. so here's this money go get what you need to keep you going for a bit till we can start assessing the damage and figuring out how best to distribute aid.

My house burned down when I was in kindergarten, nobody but the pets were home, dogs were in the back yard, cats weren't so lucky, everything was gone.

Crashed at the house of family from our church, that also happened to be the family doctor (weird) with the clothes on our backs.

So the next day the 4 humans and 2 dogs had to get some clean clothes, thankfully my dad made enough money so that part wasn't a issue but if it had been then someone handing my folks $300 each would have been the world and while not enough to hold until insurance started paying out, it would be a start.

I was kinda livid about the $700 thing till I looked into it, but like I said it went to everyone so the guy with 12 million in the bank got it and the guy with 12 bucks in his pocket got it, it's rapid relief and buys time to assess the needs. I think it's one of the lessons learned from the Katrina response, not enough money to blow on frivolous things but still enough to keep you going.

All that said given the date on that tweet, the person making it wouldn't know all of that yet I don't think.

I did look up their history of voting and who wins and pretty much the only time a republican pops up it's because they're the president.

Group therapy session with Dinah - bring it on. I've said this before but I do like how much we’re actually seeing of the mental health check in sessions and now in more forms than just one on one. The fact that everyone is so open with each other here emphasises how these sessions must have been going on for a while in the background for everyone to be so comfortable with each other.

So we have 3 outsiders, 2 Team-ers, 1 Leaguer, and Gar - I like that there's a range of people at the session

Vic & Violet’s friendship is great - I kinda always forget that its a thing and then they have moments that remind me - and then I'm like - oh ye, Violet literally saved his life so many times and that meant a lot to him.

I just had to look this up - but I did not realise Lia was supposed to be Scottish!

"Gee, I wonder who that could be?” I love this more chilled out Tara - She's fun.

Halo's got a costume redesign and I love the new style - the only thing I don't really like is the purple that's still on the hood - it just doesn't go with the red, Yellow and blue that's now on the body. I don't think it would bother me as much if there was some other purple bits else where - like on the hand and feet bits that are now red, or even a slight purple outline at either side of the rainbow. Other than that I really like it - it really shows that they are taking control of all aspects of their life - which is great!

"I have continued my journey but you are still stuck where I left you a year ago!" → Which highlights an interesting parallel between the scenes at Taos and those in Markovia - Dinah stressed the fact that everyone there was in complete control of the experience they had there - no one was being told what to do or how to do it - they guide each other but ultimately make their own choice on how to progress. As we see from both gar and violet, this makes for a really positive experience which helps a person change for a better. Where as with Brion, he's surrounded by those who are manipulating him, making his choices and tricking him into believing they are his own - he's stuck in the same state he was in a year ago because he has no control in his own kingdom or in being his own person - he's basically a puppet tied in place with no way to brake free. The can't progress because he isn't allowed to - and so he'll remain stuck until he finds a way to gain some control back in his life... though I doubt that's gonna happen any time soon.

So while there was no Ed content ☹️ or anymore Bart development - which I had a feeling might happen - this was still a seriously enjoyable episode and it really had a season 1 vibe about it - at least to me it did anyway. I did not expect what we got with Brion but I did actually like seeing it and realising he’s maybe not the evil villain I was expecting him to be. It’s actually kinda sad how controlled he is. In contrast, it makes me really happy to see how much Violet has grown whilst on their journey of self discovery and seeing how much control and confidence they now have is a really uplifting sight to see. Bring on the next episode!
