MASTERLIST
Loki was not someone who was overly friendly. To most of the people in the compound, he was courteous at best. That rule, however, was bent occasionally. The only exceptions were you and his brother (some of the time). He had been smitten with you the moment he saw you though he would never admit it. You were bubbly and light and the exact opposite of him. You were so friendly and kind that it almost made him want to be the same.
You were kind to him, which he was shocked by. Most of the people in the compound tolerated him but they were never caught being too nice. You, on the other hand, were friendly to him the day you met him.
You weren't an Avenger, you weren't really even a fighter. You were a genius in the medical field as well as the unofficial caretaker of everyone on the team. You made sure that they all ate, they didn't overwork themselves, that they were getting enough sleep every night because they were your closest friends. Everyone listened to you. You had this power over them all that they just wanted to make sure you were happy and that meant they wanted to do what you asked of them. They tried their best to take care of you as well.
When you met Loki and were very nice to him, he expected some ulterior motive. He assumed that there was something you wanted or that you would gain his trust and then humiliate him later. So he kept his guard up. This was proved wrong over the months to come. He noticed that you were that kind to everyone and you were just happy to be around other people. He let you in over time.
You became the only person who he opened up to, even more than his brother. You would keep him company even when he lashed out at others and when he was filled with guilt. You forgave him for his past without question and opened up to him as well. It took probably 3 months for Loki to realize that he was in love with you.
He couldn't believe himself. In love with a midgardian? What was he thinking?
But it was undeniable and uncontrollable. He just couldn't help himself. You would read to him and watch movies with him. You would braid his hair when he was stressed and would teach him how to cook when he asked. You were just everything to him. It took him a long time to confess. He was terrified that you would reject him. You could have had anyone you wanted, why would you choose him?
When he did confess, you were thrilled and he couldn't believe it. You kissed him and he thought he could die happy right then and there. He had never felt this much love for anyone besides his mother.
You continued to break his walls down and he fell deeper in love with you every day. He didn't, however, change his behavior towards others very much. He had grown closer to the team, having regained some trust from them all. He was no longer aggressive and he tried very hard not to lash out. Most of that was out of his own desire to be trusted. He realized that he was going to have to make his life work to remain with you and he slowly learned that most of the people in the compound weren't actually as awful as he might have originally guessed. That didn't mean that his personality changed toward them though. He was still slightly cold and short. He wouldn't smile too much and he was what some might call grumpy most of the time.
That only changed around you and everyone noticed. Loki got teased for it constantly and he couldn't care less. He just wanted to make you happy and he had no regard for what anyone thought of your relationship.
He was waiting patiently in the common area of the compound on the couch. Steve and Rhodey were sat on the couch watching something that Loki didn't recognize or care for, it was some kind of reality TV. When he heard the elevator door open he looked toward the door and you were walking towards him. A grin spread over his face and his posture relaxed. He could hear the men on the couch scoff at his sudden change in demeanor. When you got close to him he picked you up and pulled you to straddle his hips on his lap and immediately began kissing all over you. You buried your face in his chest and he kissed your hair.
"How are you, my love?" He mumbled sweetly and you hummed. "Long day?" he questioned and you nodded in affirmation. "Lets go get you some food then, yes?" He asked lightly and you hummed happily. He picked you up and you clung to him, arms and legs wrapping around him. He carried you with ease toward the kitchen. It shocked you sometimes how much he could lift and how easily he lifted you but you had to remind yourself that he was indeed a god.
"How come you never treat us that way?" Rhodey called from the couch and Loki grumbled a bit.
"Oh I'm sorry did you want me to pick you up and make you some tea?" He asked sarcastically and you giggled from where your face was pressed into his chest. He smiled at the fact that he had gotten you to laugh and he set you on the countertop. He tried to pull away to make you some food but you did not let him leave you, still holding on to the front of the shirt that he was wearing. "Do you want to talk about your day?" He asked sweetly, kissing your forehead lightly. You gazed up at him lovingly and his heart skipped a beat.
"I'm just tired. People are annoying and I didn't exactly sleep much last night." You winked at the last part. He smirked at your comment.
"I'm sorry, my love. I was under the impression that you enjoyed what we did last night but I would be happy to give you plenty of time to sleep tonight if that's what you would prefer." he teased and you punched him lightly in the chest.
"Okay fine you're right, I like getting kept up." You confessed. You paused for a moment and his eyes remained on you as he waited patiently for you to continue. "I was mistaken for an intern again today. You would think that after over a year of working here that people would recognize my name and my work but today there were some new investors walking through the facility. When they came to look at my work they started to talk to one of my coworkers and then turned to me to ask me to get them a coffee order while they waited for the doctor to arrive." You grumbled, your mood now sour at the memory. Loki frowned and he felt his anger begin to take shape inside of him. His eyes flashed green for a moment.
"Would you like me to go and teach them a lesson? Perhaps just to mildly terrify them?" he asked, fully serious. That cheered you up plenty and you chuckled. Loki knew that you were laughing because of the absurdity of his statement and the fact that he was dead serious but he was just happy to see you smile again. "I will never understand the midgardian obsession with gender roles. Though I suppose my own identity is more fluid than most asgardians as well." He confessed and you brought your hand to rest on the side of his face. He leaned his head into your hand as he beamed at you. You loved when he compared his home to yours. It reminded you just how powerful he was and that he still chose to spend his days with you. There was suddenly a flash of green before he held his hand out to you, now holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. When you gasped and moved to grab them he slipped from your grasp to move towards the refrigerator.
"Hey that's not fair, you tricked me." You pouted at him, now grumbling that you couldn't hold him anymore.
"Little dove, I cannot make you food when you hold onto me. When I am finished cooking then you can stay with me for as long as you would like." He promised and you nodded solemnly. He quickly pressed another kiss to your cheek before moving around the kitchen to prepare you waffles as he often did when you were having a long day. You observed the beautiful flowers in your hand and watched him as he moved around the kitchen, a million times more comfortable than he had been when he first moved into the compound. You talked contentedly with the people passing by as well as the man who was diligently trying to improve your mood. Occasionally one of the other team members would walk by and laugh a bit at how caring he was acting toward you, all of them just happy you were content though. Eventually Thor stopped by while Loki put some batter into the waffle iron and sliced some fruit.
"You know, this is the happiest I have ever seen him." He stated simply, a smile in is voice.
"It's the happiest I've been too." You responded with a small grin.
"The last time I saw him open up to someone the way that he opens up to you was on Asgard with our mother. She would be happy to see him being so vulnerable again." He patted your back and walked away as tears started to come to your eyes. The brothers would talk of their mother sometimes and Loki often mention the fact that he believed she would have loved you, if not for your own personality then for what you did for her son. You wished that you could meet her.
You were suddenly taken out of your thoughts by someone handing you a plate of waffles and sliced up fruit with a little container of syrup on the side. You looked up at Loki and nearly cried right there. You put the plate aside for a moment to reach out and pull him into a crushing hug. He was a bit startled but responded quickly, a hand going to the back of your head and his fingers brushing through your hair soothingly.
"Did something happen, my love?" He asked softly and you sniffled a bit.
"Just love you and I'm very thankful for everything you do for me." You got out and he affirmed to himself that he would die for you in an instant.
"I love you too, darling, but I slaved away at those waffles and now they are getting cold." He teased and he kissed your hair gently. You took a deep breath before pulling away, looking up at him with love. You smiled and then hopped off of the counter. He walked with you over to the dining table where he sat next to you and serenely waited as you ate, the food lifting your spirits a bit and easing your anxiety of the day. You planned on spending the rest of it with the man next to you as well as every day after that.

LEATHERBOUND - Reader x Cassian - (I think I missed this request but I think someone req’d something similar) Reader is a librarian in Illyria when Cassian comes in asking for help finding something.
Cassian's favorite time of year in Illyria was the winter days where the sun was out. The winds were harsh enough to stun his wings, but the rays from the sun were warm enough for a perfect contrast. Not letting him freeze, but not letting him get too hot either.
The muddiness also became packed ice instead of the mess it had been over the summer. It was still messy in the more trafficked areas, but not nearly as bad. He couldn't hide the joy that rept into his heart at the sight of so many Illyrians taking joy in the season. Small winged children threw snowballs at passerbys from a ledge. A broad winged male scared them off with a flyover. Cassian entered the small shop, the smell of dust and worn carpet whirled around him. It was comforting in a strange way. It reminded him of being a child. Innocent and curiously exploring different shops at his home.
The bell above rang in a dull tone. He looked up and saw the shotty repair job on the ringer. Not exactly as it had been when he was a child, it seemed. "Stay right there!" You called from the back, putting away the stack of books you held. They clattered into the bin loudly. The sound of rustling made him curious.
"I'm just here for-" He called, starting to step further into the room. The books lined the short walls, and the stacks in the middle looked percaiously stacked. They were organized, but the bottom of the stack seemed stained. He doubted the resources for another bookcase were available.
"I know, just dont move. I just cleaned the carpet." You brought a towel from the front desk over and placed it beside the small outcropping of hard wood you had laid out for anyone first entering the store. "This is the last building in Illyria with carpets. I'd like to keep it that way." You said when the dark haired male gave you a pinched look. He bent and began taking off his boots. Boots that looked far too new for the likes of an Illyrian.
Watching him do so, you noticed the two Siphons on his hands. Then the one on his knee. Your head went fuzzy. What had you done to deserve a visit from the Lord of Bloodshed? He noticed your stare and gave you a wolfish smile. You didn't flinch away from it. The wind howled at the gaps in the stone, and you cleared your throat.
"So what do you need?" You asked, crossing your hands behind your back. Ready to be of service. Hopefully he wouldn't demand too much of your small store.
"You said you knew. So you tell me." He said with a sly smile. You stammered, sweat slicking your palms. "I didnt mean- We have several ah..." You looked away, at the different categories of spellbooks and history of Prythian. Shame fell in your gut at the bottom layers of books that made the stack in the middle of the room.
"I'm looking for a cookbook. One with Illyrian recipes." He stepped to the carpet, his dark socks immaculate against the worn pattern.
"Is the high lord a fan of home made treats?" You laughed at the odd request. Then covered your mouth, the embarrassment turned your ears red. "I'm sorry-" "No, its fine." Cassian chuckled, pulling a book off a shelf. It was of the first war, and was bound in dark leather. "He does. But the book isn't for him. The high ladies sister, actually."
The one of hellfire and stone or the one that seemed to be a ghost? You dared not question him. "A solstice gift?" You asked, showing him over to the small cooking section you had obtained over centuries. They weren't of much use in Illyria, but the few travelers found them fascinating.
"Yes, she's had a rough year." His voice was somber, but the hope still lingered in his eyes.
You let the words sink in. The silence wasn't uncomfortable, his presence was warm and welcoming, actually. As if he was putting off a vibe of 'I'm safe.' You handed him a complete cookbook full of basic recipes and baking. The cover was so worn the title was unreadable. Dark spots stained the inner pages, you knew because you'd borrowed the book several times. "We all have." He flicked through it for a moment, smiling. His teeth were immaculate, and a bit extra pointy on his canines. The sight of them sent a thrill through you.
"I recommend the sweet dough. It's spice free, the only thing you need for it is pine needles and sap." You flicked the pages to one you had bookmarked. The opposite side was full of different types of cakes to make with minimal ingredients.
"I'm too familiar with it." He laughed, shaking his head. Some fond memories from long ago lingered there. He could recall the scent of the bread with full accuracy. The way it the needles would char on top of the dough if there were too many.
"How much do I owe you?" He pinned the leather under his arm and pulled a satchel from his pocket. Your heart raced at the glimpse of so many gold coins there.
"Ah- it'll be Twenty silvers." You said, embarrassment coating your tongue. He didnt even look like he was carrying and silver. He eyed you speculatively. "Twenty silvers for a full book?" He asked. You nodded, trying not to wring your hands. He fished a gold coin from the pouch and held it out to you. "Let me get you some change... it may take a second." You fumbled to the desk where you kept your coin inside a spellbound box.
"Dont worry about it. I'll be back another time." He called, setting the book on the floor to pull on his shoes. "Lord Cas-" You began to protest.
"Just Cassian." He corrected, grunting as he pulled on the boots. "Call it a tab." He winked and eyed the ripped, hole filled curtains of the front window. How they swayed in the breeze that drifted in from the rocks.
"I'll be seeing you." His eyes scanned you, and you nodded. "Be seeing you." You said back, your mouth dry. He was intimidating in the ways you'd never thought of. Not in a scary way, but in a sly way that made your heart race. The bell over his head dinged hollowly as he exited, shoving the book into his backpack. You tried not to stare as he left.
+ The Solstice party was a success as it normally was. Nesta kept to herself in the corner with Amren while everyone else exchanged gifts. Elain's eyes lit up at the book, and she hugged Cassian with heart. "I'll be making you something tomorrow." She promised. Cassian felt the flicker of cold over him and shot Az a look. They glowered at one another.
Rhys leveled a look at both of them that got them to straighten up. Feyre handed out mugs of hot cider. Mor brought around a bottle of liquor to mix with it. The night was warm with friends and joy. Besides the cold corner where Nesta sat. Cassian did his best to ignore it. As did everyone else.
He was nearly the last to leave. The cider had effected him more than he thought. But it warmed his insides against the cold wind of Velaris. He wrapped his wings around himself to shield from the cold. He thought of the librarian who had given him the book. His mind drifted to the rest of that day, how Devlon had even seemed cheerful.
He wondered if you were doing anything, if you had any family celebrating with you. If you had a mate that spoiled you. His heart kicked up at the thought of it. He hadn't noticed a ring...or any tattoos to signify a mating bond. He couldn't recall much else. He had been stunned by the beauty and simplicity of you and your shop. He couldnt remember if you had wings.
The frustration ate at him. He had to know more. He needed to know if you had a good solstice. He made a plan. "It would be good karma" He told himself, entering one of the several shops on the way to the townhome. His excitement made it nearly impossible to sleep that night. + "Happy solstice." A voice called from the front door. You hadn't heard the bell chime.
You rushed to the front, making sure that the carpet hadn't been ruined. The curtains whipped from the wind outside. The enormous Illyrian shut the door with a firm gentleness that made your heart race. His hands wrapped around a small wooden box. Well, it was small in his hands.
"It's the day after solstice. Happy late solstice." You corrected, striding over to him and giving him a look about the shoes. They looked incredibly clean. "You still need to take them off."
"I know. You need to open this first." He forced the box upon you and stooped to begin unlacing the boots.  "What-"
"Just open it." He stood and followed you to the counter. Heat flooded your cheeks, you hadn't gotten him anything. Not that you could afford it, or even knew what he would want. "Why did you get this?" You asked, trying to hide the tension in your voice.
"So you dont have to cook that sweetbread again." He said with a grin, staring at you. At how your hands delicately removed the lid from the box. Then at your stunned reaction at the waft of spices that spilled from the box. "Cassian-" You breathed, utterly speechless.
"I have a request too...So you can't say its too much. It's for me too." He went to the shelf where he'd gotten the cookbook for Elain. "Make us these, and we'll call it even."
"Cassian... I'm not a cook. I dont bake." You laughed when he pointed at the spice cakes in the book. "Maybe ask the sister-" You pushed the box toward him, the heaviness of it screamed 'expensive' to you. Guilt marred the joy of receiving the gift.
He pushed it firmly back to you, locking eyes. He noted the way you tensed at that stare. He eased, trying to ignore the scent mixing with the smell of leather and spice. "I want you to make it, using these." He patted the top of the box.
You debated with yourself. The male carried around more gold than you'd ever seen. And he wasn't worried about it. You figured if it was a gift then he genuinely wanted you to have it. You sighed and took the box, placing it under the shelf beside your bag. Your wings pinched at the movement.
You ignored how his eyes lingered on your scarred members. You were used to it from some males, but never one as important and high ranking as him. He shook himself and refocused, pulling himself out of the rage he was feeling at the sight of your ruined wings.
"Any other requests?" You sighed, feigning annoyance. His toothy grin made your stomach do flips.

Hi! Can you possibly do a Mikasa x fem reader where they've been dating and during the Uprising arc in the crystal cave the reader gets hurt Mikasa just gets pissed 😂 Then after the battle some sweet comfort and fluff? Also the others were shocked by Mikasa's behavior cause they didn't know she was dating anyone
“Rage,” Mikasa x FemReader
Tumblr media
Summary: where you ended up getting hurt during the mission to rescue Eren and your secret girlfriend Mikasa shows real emotion about the situation.
Warnings: none! season 3 Mikasa
.
.
.
The team surrounded Levi as they hovered over the secret door that led down to the cave where they assumed Eren and Historia were in. He had went over the plan again, looking down at the barrels the team had put together to throw down there.
“Stay sharp, one mistake can get you killed.” Levi warned before opening up the trap door and everyone threw the barrels in.
Once Sasha had shot the barrels with some flame arrows, the smoke surrounded the lower area of the cave. Then it was the rest of the teams turn to fly in using their gear.
You were nervous, you’ve been nervous since before you even stepped into this but Mikasa, before this mission started, had tried to reassure you endlessly about how she would look after you and protect you if needed but she knew how much of a strong person you were and how you could easily get this done, she had full confidence in you.
The relationship between you and Mikasa was definitely more than just friends. When you first met her when the both of you joined the boot camp at the same time, you two became close from how much you had in common. You both ended up being orphans and taken in by someone else, you both shared a lot and it eventually turned into a secret affair that no one really knew about.
It was then on that Mikasa had gotten very over protective with you and even then, the scouts never thought about it for too long, they thought of it as just Mikasa being over protective with her friends like Eren and Armin.
Your thoughts had moved back onto the mission, it started off great and in the teams favor until the enemies had caught on to what they were doing and how they were doing it and you ended up getting caught above the smoke after slicing someone’s throat open.
The enemy was quick to lunge at you, their blade aiming towards you and surprisingly you dodged just enough that it didn’t strike the area he was aiming for but it did slice your side quite severely.
You had fallen down under the smoke, the ground knocking you out cold and Mikasa had noticed right away.
“Y/N!” She shouted below to you when she noticed your body falling to the ground.
Her anger boiled inside of her and she was quick to spin around towards the guy who had done the damage to you and instantly killed him without hesitation.
After that, the enemy team had backed away and retreated, giving Mikasa time to drop to the ground and go to where you laid. Your eyes had opened up, the pain you felt shooting through your side was like it was on fire.
She quickly took off her jacket and pushed the material down on your wound to put pressure on the bleeding, her eyes connecting with yours and you gave a weak smile, just to somewhat reassure her that you were okay.
“Don’t worry about it, I’ve been through worse.” You joked, making Mikasa crack a smile down to you.
“Shut up, this cut is pretty bad, Y/N.” She admitted, pain written all over her face as she took a look down at the cut on your side.
“I’ll be fine, Mikasa. I’m not leaving you that easily.”
All the scouts had surrounded you, their eyes trained on Mikasa as she was actually showing real emotion which they never seen off of her except rage. Levi had leaned down to lift the jacket and look at the slice on your side, cursing under his breath.
“You two, take her out of here quickly, the rest will go through with the mission.” He ordered and Armin quickly reached down to help you up off your feet which only worsened the pain.
“Take care of her, please. Don’t let her die.” Mikasa stared at Armin and he nodded his head as he and another cadet helped carry you towards an exit.
“Since when are you so caring for someone?” Jean looked down at Mikasa and she gave him a plain look as he teased her.
“My relationship with her is none of your concern, Jean.”
“Your relationship? So I’m assuming more than friends then?” He chuckled, stopping once he seen the deadly look on her face.
“Now isn’t the time to chat about secret affairs, we need to get Eren and Historia out of here.” Levi looked back at the cadets then around the area to try to come up with some plan until the cave started to give in, everything shaking and crumbling around them.
After the collected Eren and Historia, they finally made it out after the large titan had moved towards the wall. Mikasa didnt hesitate to come to where you were, laying in the carriage as the horses rode back to the wall where the titan was heading.
Everything was a blur to you until you were in a bed stitched and wrapped up perfectly fine. Mikasa was sitting beside the bed with her head on the mattress as she slept, little did you know the mission was already done and the titan that came was long dead.
Your fingers had gently traced through her hair, sighing under your breath feeling guilty for being reckless to let yourself get sliced up even if your attention was away for a second.
Mikasa was quick to wake up when she felt your hand, her eyes instantly moving up to yours and you gave her a smile before brushing her hair back. She leaned over without a word, the sudden impact of her lips on yours had completely caught you off guard but you weren’t complaining.
“You’ve been asleep forever.” She huffed out when she pulled back from your mouth and you leaned forward to wrap your arms around her in a tight hug, ignoring the pain in your side.
“I’m sorry.” You mumbled into her shoulder and she kept her grip on you, being careful to not hurt you in anyway as she ran her hand up and down your back, comforting you.
“Don’t be, it wasn’t your fault.” Mikasa had kissed the top of your head, it was nice to see her so comforting and loving but it was also shocking to see it as well.
It took a lot for her to be touchy like this, she was never one to show a lot of emotions but she did sometimes through her actions but you were the opposite, you always gave her affection.
that’s what made Mikasa fall for you more, the affection she was receiving from you was definitely something she didn’t think she would need until she met you.
.
.
.
I tried to make this as lovey as possible, hope it turned out okaaaay.

Heya, it been awhile XD
As always, I've been enjoying your fluffy snippets, but if you're up for some angst...
Ruby is a newly graduated Huntress following up on a child trafficking ring in Mistral m, which ends up taking her to Atlas. There she stays at 'The Glass Unicorn' and meets a maid called 'Cinder'. A woman who has long given up on her freedom and what it means to be a Huntress...
Otherwise, if you're still enjoying the fluffy side of things, some fluffy BeesSchnees is always good XD
Ruby sighed as she looked between a paper in her hand and to the hotel standing in front of her. For a moment, she was a bit confused on what The Glass Unicorn had to do with any sort of child trafficking ring. However, the name of the woman who owned this place came up more than once on the ledgers of that old barn. And if she wanted answers, she was going to need to start her.
Rain started to pour from the sky as Ruby walked into the hotel, pausing for a moment as she felt out of place. Sure, there were hunters and huntresses from all over, but even for Atlas standards, this place was higher end. Everywhere she looked, all she saw was an excuse for wealth to be displayed. Once she regained her composure, she walked up to the front desk. “I need a room.”
The blonde woman looked Ruby over for a moment before noticing it was a huntress in front of her. With a few quick clicks on her keyboard, a card popped out of her computer. “Room 402. Meals will be brought straight to your room. And dont bother talking to the staff.”
Ruby looked at her curiously as she took the card. “Why not?”
The woman looked directly into Ruby’s eyes. “Its not their job to talk to anyone.”
Ruby sighed and put the card in her pocket, turning to start heading up the stairs. She looked around as she walked, all the patrons seeming to enjoy everything the hotel offered. It all reminded her of why she was doing this: to try to make the world a better place. And right now, Atlas was not that better place.
Ruby watched a few of the staff bring out meals to the patrons, along with anything else they needed or cleaned up any messes that were made. The longer she watched, the less convinced she became that this hotel was going to be the link to this ring. Everything she found always became a dead end and this last lead of hers seemed to be no different.
“What do you think you’re doing?!”
Ruby looked up at the third floor, watching one of the patrons yelling at one of the maids. She tried to get a better look, making her way to the stairs on the opposite side as she watched the maid drop to the ground to pick up the food that fell on the ground.
“I’m sorry, I didnt mean to-”
“Didnt mean to what? Give lousy service?” The patron spat at the maid, pushing past her and knocking her over. “Lousy maid bringing over half cooked food…”
Ruby watched the maid move her hair out of her face as she started to scrub, hearing a small sigh escape from the girl. She felt sorry for the girl, walking over to her. “Ah… miss… I was hoping I could ask you something.”
The maid didnt look up, seemingly avoiding eye contact with Ruby. “I-I’ll make sure your room is cleaned once I’m finished here.”
Ruby knelt down and picked up some of the fruit that had spilled. “That’s not what I was going to ask about. I was hoping you might be able to answer a few questions I have about this place.”
The maid stopped and slowly looked up at Ruby with tired eyes. “Y-you’re a huntress…”
“I am. What is your name?”
“Cinder.”
Ruby smiled and extended a hand to Cinder. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Cinder smiled for a moment, then it quickly disappeared as she quickly started to work again, keeping her head low. “I’m… I’m not allowed to talk to you. Please, go to your room and I’ll bring you your meal.”
Ruby was about to speak until she heard a voice coming from behind her.
“Cinder, you’re needed in the kitchen.”
Ruby watched as Cinder stood up and started hurrying off past her, making her way downstairs. “Do your staff always get treated like this?”
The woman from the front desk stood behind Ruby, shaking her head. “Only that one. She’s a bit of a… problem. The only reason I dont fire her is because she’s one of my daughters. She knows she’s only to be seen, not heard. I’ll make sure she wont bother you again.”
Ruby watched the woman turn around and head back downstairs towards the kitchen after Cinder. At this rate, even if this ended up as a dead end with the trafficking ring, then maybe there was something else that she could fix.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cinder winced a bit as she brought a tray to room 402, doing her best to keep from moving the collar that was around her neck. Everytime she messed up, all she could feel was that familiar sting. And every time, it hurt. She adjusted a small cloth she had around her neck, hiding the scars from the collar. She quietly knocked on the door, praying that whoever was in this room wasnt going to treat her like the rest of the patrons did.
Ruby slowly opened the door and smiled a bit at Cinder. “I was wondering when you’d come around.”
Cinder looked away a bit, holding out a tray to Ruby and staying quiet. The pain from her last punishment still lingered around, and she was terrified to be caught talking to anyone now.
Ruby noticed and sighed, taking the tray. “If you’re not going to talk right now, then maybe you can help me out with a few things in my room. There’s a few spots that could use a bit of cleaning.”
Cinder nodded and slowly walked into the room, pausing once she saw Ruby’s weapon laying down on a table. It wasnt the first time she had seen a hunter’s weapon within easy grabbing, and wasnt the first time she had the desire to reach out for it.
Ruby noticed and walked over, picking up her weapon and smiling a bit. “Like weapons too? You can hold her if you’d like.”
Cinder hesitated for a moment, wanting to reach towards the weapon. She stopped half way and sighed and she pulled her hand back. “I… cant.”
“Why not?”
Cinder didnt answer, looking away from Ruby. She didnt know how to tell a huntress that she had to get away from her family. That she’d do anything if it meant not being with them anymore.
Ruby sighed and sat Crescent Rose down. “You… wanted to be a huntress at one point, didnt you?”
Cinder froze on the spot. The thought had occurred to her, and there was that one huntsman, Rhodes, who taught her a few things, but he disappeared when she was younger. “Y-yes… but its… more than that…”
“I’m not sure I understand.”
Cinder looked around nervously before pulling down the cloth around her neck and pulling up the sleeves of her outfit. Scars lined her wrists while one scar circled her neck exactly where her necklace, the collar she wore, sat.
Ruby frowned when she saw the scars on Cinder, picking up her weapon and heading out of the room. “Stay here.”
Cinder nodded and sat down, terrified about what was going to happen. She had spent years trying to figure out how to get away from the madam, but all of her attempts at obtaining a weapon to get away had failed. And now, an actual huntress had seen the marks that had been left, the reminders of each of her failures on running away, each mistake she had made while working.
It wasnt long before Cinder heard muffled shouts from outside the room, her sisters and the madam clearly angry at Ruby. She cowered a bit, thinking she knew exactly what to expect: Ruby was going to let the madam in just like everyone else. She’d believe the lies that were told, that she was a troubled child that was taken in by the gratitude of the madam’s heart, that she was a thief and a liar that everyone had to keep an eye on. Even after the shouts died down, she still waited, flinching as she watched the door open.
Ruby rushed into the room, blood dripping from her scythe as she grabbed her things. “Cinder, you’re coming with me.”
Cinder felt a bit confused, hesitating for a moment. “You… want me to come with you?”
“Well, currently you’re unemployed and have nowhere to go. You can either stay here in Atlas, maybe find your way down to Mantle and find a job, or you can come with me and I can help you become a huntress. I can at least teach you how to defend yourself and others from the grimm, maybe even help you take the exam for your hunter’s license. Give you a new start.”
Cinder was still a bit confused, but followed after Ruby, pausing as she saw the madam laying on the ground in a pool of her own blood. “You killed her…”
Ruby sighed as she kept walking. “She attacked me first. I thought all of this was going to be a dead end, but it seems like I ended up on the right track after all. I know you were bought through a child trafficking ring, and I know you’re not the only one she had purchased. If you can help me get a bit more proof, I think I can put an end to this. I know its a bit late and there isnt much I can do about what had happened to you, but I can at least help you with your new freedom now.”
Cinder sped up to catch up to Ruby, sticking close to her. “But why help me? I’m… I’m just a nobody. A kid that was sold into this life. I dont deserve any kindness.”
“Because if I cant help someone, then what’s the point of being a huntress?” Ruby stopped for a moment, pulling out her scroll and holding it up to Cinder to take a picture. “And besides, the world is already cruel enough. I think its time we try to make it a better place.”

A case in suburbia, domestic dynamics, and a forever home. What could go wrong?
the moment i’ve been waiting for! chapter one is up now! read here or under the cut.
Cas and Dean were searching for a forever house. They had been pretty much since Cas got back from the empty. They were ready to distance themselves from hunting. Dean had always wanted a sort of suburban, white picket fence life, even if he didn’t admit it to anyone. And since he already admitted how he truly felt to Cas, why not throw his need for a domestic lifestyle into the mix. Cas was all for it. Ever since Jack had given up most of his powers to Amara, thus causing her to take his place as God and him almost human, Cas had been hoping for a place to raise him like a normal child. The bunker was great for hunting and a place for Cas, Dean, and Sam, but not so much for raising a 5-year-old kid.
House hunting had been a burden to bear, but they were making out alright. Up till this, they’d looked at about 3 other houses. They were all a no for different reasons. The first one Cas decided was in a school district that wouldn’t be good for Jack, the second didn’t have a big enough garage or backyard, and the third didn’t have enough bedrooms for all of their family to stay. With the whole credit card scam they’d been running for as long as they remember, budget wasn’t really a problem, but they didn’t want something extravagant.
There it was, 538 Chapel Street in Pine River Crossings. It wasn’t too far out of Lawrence, only a few hours' drive, and all the houses looked nice. Very cookie cutter, but that was sort of the appeal. They couldn’t guarantee that they would fit in with the traditional, upper middle-class people, but what the hell, if they could kill god they could take suburbia.
A few days passed, and they were set up to look at the home. They drove the hour and a half to the next medium-sized town with the belief in their minds that this was the one. It had all they needed, a two-car garage, a respectable school district, and two guest bedrooms. They were so caught up in this concept they made the mistake of not checking the news for the nearby areas. Once they arrived, a realtor who showed them around the dwelling greeted them. It was all they could ask for and more practically too good to be true, especially for people like them. The actual presentation of the house went over without too many problems. The person exhibiting the residence commented on how it had been on display for almost a month now, which was the first red flag. A house as nice as this, in a densely populated area, would usually not be on the market for that long in weeks unless there was some hidden con.
They signed on it not a day after seeing the house in person. It was all set up and they could officially start moving stuff in the next week. They officially shared the good news with everyone the day after they signed. Sam was beyond happy for them. Not only would he finally have a space to himself, he was proud of his brother for living the life he’d always wanted. Jack was thrilled that he would get to go to actual school and have friends that were his age and not cosmic entities. In the meantime, Cas did more research into the neighborhood. There was their hidden con. The newspaper Cas had pulled up on his phone said, “Local Couple Murdered in Own Home.”
“Dean, look at this.”
Okay, that was a setback. A murderer on the loose in the neighborhood they were moving into was not exactly what he had planned, but he had delt with worse. “Alright, that could be a problem.”
“I think it’s a little bigger than a problem,” Cas retorted.
“Is it our type of thing or just something local law enforcement could deal with?”
Cas read on in the article, “the couple was stabbed, there was no sign of forced entry, neighbors reported nothing amiss besides lights flickering before the murder. The weapon, as well as the perpetrator, was never found. No official suspects have been labeled, everyone has seemed to have an alibi.”
“It definitely sounds like our thing. Lights flickering, no breaking and entering, and all.”
They decided they could pose as residents, as it seemed perfectly normal for the newcomers to be concerned about the literal murderer on the loose. Since Cas was newly human, and Jack was, well, 5, Dean thought they might need outside help. Being out of practice to spend more time with your husband and child really had its fallbacks. Sam was off the table as backup. He was out of town and Dean didn't want to interrupt his first weekend without him in god knows how long. Plus, they needed someone who wouldn't draw too much attention to their family dynamic.
“Hey, Cas, what do you think about calling in Claire to help us with this one? You think she’d do it?”
“Calling her in for help is a good idea, whether or not shed actually do it is another question.”
“I’ll call and ask, and if she wants to help, and if not then I can think of something else.”
He kept his promise and called Claire not an hour later. He decided it might be best not to tell her it was undercover work, or that it was taking place in a white picket fence neighborhood, as that might turn her off from it almost immediately.
“Hey Claire, its been too long since we’ve talked,” he started.
“Hi Dean. what do you want, there’s no way you’re just calling to catch up if you’re starting with ‘its been too long.’”
“You got me there. I was just wondering if you wanted to come with me and Cas on a hunt. Its not too far from the bunker and we’d have you back home in a week.”
“Sure, that works. When do we start?” She hadnt seen Dean and Cas since they rescued Cas. That was over a month ago, she’d been meaning to visit, but she’d been so busy with hunting, and getting to know Kaia again now that she was finally back. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to reconnect and not miss out on anything too big back at home.
“If you could come down here by Wednesday, that’d be great.”
“Sounds good. I’ll see you then.” She was tempted to sign off with an ‘I love you’ but she was never a lovey-dovey person in that way.
On tuesday she promised Jody she’d be extra careful and would be back in under a week. Kaia told her to make sure to call every day and update her on what was happening. Claire agreed, promising to keep in touch. She spent the rest of the day driving down to Kansas.
Back on Dean and Cas’s end, they were trying to get the house set up for 4 people when they had no furniture prior to this. Cas had always loved furniture shopping even before he had a use for it. When he worked at the Gas-and-Sip, he would browse the home improvement magazines in his spare time. Dean was pretty much the opposite. He had never had reason to care for it, so he didn't. Maybe his hatred for Swedish furniture was rooted in his deep-seated commitment issues. It didn't matter much why he hated it, he just left most of the choices up to Cas. there was then the issue of appliances and such you couldn't find in a furniture store. That was left up to him. Cas sent him out to Walmart to get things for the kitchen. That was something he could do. He picked out a mixer, some silverware, and a pioneer woman kitchenware set. It came with pots and pans, mixing bowls, and a few normal sized plates. That was enough for him to consider it an absolute steal. He brought his finds home to the bunker, setting them on the table designated for things that were to go in the new house. Jack was sitting on Cas’s lap, pointing at things on the computer.
“What’re you guys finding?” Dean asked, hovering behind Cas’s shoulder.
“Djungelskog!” Jack exclaimed, showing Dean a photo of a large stuffed brown bear.
“I thought you were looking for furniture?” Dean directed the question more at Cas, but he was still looking at Jack.
“We are. Jack just got us a bit sidetracked. We found the majority of what we need. Among other things not of as grave importance.”
Dean looked over the shopping cart and then gave the go ahead. Not before adding the stuffed bear to the cart, though.
The next day Claire arrived. Everyone was thrilled to see her. Jack ran up and threw himself around one of her legs and Cas gave her an awkward dad side hug. Dean wondered when he would tell her what the hunt would actually consist of, but he didn't want to interrupt the moment.
A few hours later, Dean fixed everyone a real dinner and had them sit down at the kitchen table. The realization dawned on him that this was going to be his last sit down meal officially living in the bunker. Everyone sort of just sat in silence for a beat. Perhaps reflecting on their own lasts of officially living there. “Claire, I sorta forgot to add this when I called you, but the case is a lot of undercover work. Also its in a suburban area.”
“And why didn't you tell me this sooner?”
“Well to speak freely, I wanted you on this case and I was worried it would make you not want to come.”
“It almost does, but i'm already here now, and i wouldn't want to waste a days driving on something i'm not actually going to do.” She guessed this would probably take longer than a week. “And i'm guessing this isn't just something you decided to do out of the goodness of your hearts?”
“We bought a house in the area, and we just wanted to make sure it was safe,” Cas explained.
“Hang on, you bought a house for real and you didnt even think to tell me? You didn't think that that was valuable information?”
“It didn't come up in our phone call,” Dean said.
“And? That’s no excuse to leave your daughter out of major life events!” The ‘daughter’ part just sort of came out without her noticing, but seconds after she said it she regretted it. God, how embarrassing.
“You’re right. We should’ve told you sooner. It was kind of a recent decision, though, so you haven’t been out of the loop for too long,” Cas said.
The next day was moving day. Dean loaded the appliances into the back of Claire’s car, since the back of the Impala was already full. Claire took her own car, while Dean, Cas, and Jack rode in Baby. Their real furniture was being delivered as they spoke. Cas offered to ride with Claire, but she assured him she’d be fine by herself. The drive wasn’t even that long, especially compared to the distance she drove yesterday.
Dean was silently nervous. He wouldn’t admit it out loud but it was written all over his face. His first real stable house, with the man he loved, and his two kids, he could only hope that he didn’t mess it up. Cas put a hand on his shoulder showing he saw how Dean was feeling.
They turned onto Chapel Street and pulled up into the driveway of the house. It somehow looked bigger and more daunting than it had during the walkthrough. Claire arrived almost ten minutes later. Everyone just sort of paused in front of the house for a minute, reveling in the stability most of them had never had.

Tamaki fic:
you and tamaki were on a mission together, and you were sticking together like you normally do. you took the lead, you always did, so he wouldn’t get hurt.
you were sent to infiltrate a small base that the lov had, it should be easy in and out, there should be 3 people inside, take them out and it’ll be over.
you both approached the building slowly and scoped out the inside through a window, seeing a back door that was not guarded and you both snuck over to it
“ok tamaki wait until I give you the signal and I’ll distract them”
you turned your head to get his approval, but instead you saw him busting the door down, trying to take all the villains himself.
luckily you were there to back him up, and you took them down with ease.
when the villains were taken by the police you went to find tamaki and give him a piece of your mind.
“Tamaki! What were you doing you could have been killed?” you were scared for him, you were also pissed because he was doing this so recklessly, did he not care for you at all?
“I was doing my job y/n j-just like you. I don’t need you to take the lead all the time.”
was he really upset over this? you were only trying to help him why is he making a big fuss. you didn’t want him to get hurt, to be home one day and for him to never come back to you, you were only trying to protect him
“but we’re in this together, me and you are supposed to look out for each other and-“
“well maybe we shouldn’t be together if your going to hold me back like such a burden!” tamaki was loud, but he held his head low
your heart shattered at those words, all you were doing was trying to protect him, why couldn’t he see that?
you stood there baffled staring at him with wide eyes, tears bubbling and silently falling as your heart broke.
he finally looked up at you and immediately regretted what he said, he just wanted you to know that he could take care of himself.
he had messed up.
you turned away from him and started walking, and he called after you, grabbing your arm only to gave you harshly pull away.
you started running, you had to be anywhere else but where he was. you needed to get away from him he was closely following you, trying to get you to just stop and talk to him
you lost him eventually, it was a busy day and you ran all the way to the middle of the city. you let your mind wander while you kept walking. we’re you trying to hard in your relationship?
you finally stopped walking and ended up in front of your shared apartment. Why had your legs taken you here? you didnt even know if you and him were together anymore, so how were you going to walk in like nothing happened?
you walked up to the door, should you knock, should you just walk in? you walked in and saw tamaki sitting at the table, he was obviously crying, he was shaking and his eyes were red from crying. your heart broke even more from the sight.
When you walked in the apartment he looked directly at you, and stood up he opened his mouth to talk but all that came out was a sob.
you put your head down to avoid the sight and walked to your shared bedroom, you had to leave, you couldn’t stay after what he said.
as you walked he started following you trying to see what you were doing. what he said was a mistake, you knew that right? He didn’t mean it, he loved you and how you tried to protect him. It showed that you cared
you grabbed a bag from under your shared bed, and walked over to your closet shoving all the clothes that you saw into your bag.
if he thought you were such a burden then you’d leave. hell be free from you and able to do what he wants.
he stood in the doorway and his heart started to race when you grabbed your bag, his stomach dropping.
“Y-y/n what are you doing?”
“I’m leaving.”
your voice sounded so cold, how could you say that? how could you leave? he really didn’t mean what he said.
“n-no you c-cant leave! please I-I didn’t mean it! you can’t leave me alone..” his voice trailed off as he started to cry again, he knew he messed up bad now. you gave him all his confidence, and you loved him at the same time. without you he would be nothing.
you ignored him as you finished packing your bag, and you pushed past him, pushing your feelings down you walked over to the door, stopping for just a second.
he had followed you the whole way there, and stood behind you as you stopped
You turned your head over your shoulder slightly, tears running down your face
“your free tamaki”
and with that you left,.
left him to be alone. to shatter into the ground and become the person he used to be.
Mirio:
you and mirio had been together for a little now, you were 3rd years and you both had hero work to do, so you didn’t get that many times to be alone, but you could tell that something was bothering him.
mirio was usually happy and bright, always smiling. lately you had noticed him spacing off and getting distracted. so you both had a free night tonight, you were going to go to his dorm and spend it with him.
after school you headed to your dorm and got ready, packing a overnight bag and started to make your way to his dorm.
when you got there you knocked softly said a “mirio it’s me” and he let you in, you sat on the bed and waited for him to come in.
he walked in and you noticed his aura was immediately off, and his smile wasn’t like it always was.
“mirio are you ok? You know you can talk to me right?”
“I’m ok y/n no need to worry”
that set you off. there was something obviously wrong, and he was just ignoring that fact?
“mirio something’s obviously wrong please tell me”
you sat in silence for a moment, before he started talking
“I’m always there for everyone. anything anyone needs anything from me I’m there. I’m there talking to them about there problems. and I’m good at it! you know? but what about me?” mirios voice started getting louder, you scooted away from him a little, ready for the worst.
“what about me huh? am I not important? no one ever fucking considered me. Not even you. and now your asking me, after I’ve been messed up all week if I’m ok?” he scoffed and turned his head away from you “Get out”
you turned your head towards him and widened your eyes in disbelief, how could he do that to you? you were worried the whole time. Could he not see that?
“no.”
“no? Y/n I said get the hell out of my room before I make you” he was fully yelling now, standing on the side of his bed looking at you
you felt small under his stance, tears starting to fall from your eyes and you got up, grabbing your bag and walking towards the door
“I was trying to help you.” your voice was filled with venom and you walked out the door and slammed it behind you, you heard the door open and close but you could care less, you were walking anywhere away from this.
you could feel his presence behind you, feel him watching you.
you turned around and came face to face with him, and you looked up at him with anger written on your face
“what do you want togata.”
he looked taken back by the name but he hung his head low, not giving a answer.
you let out a scoff and kept walking, walking into a empty alley, losing him for a few minutes.
you walked down the alley, now hearing footsteps behind you, you walked forward before a van pulling up stopped you, and before you knew it you were being pulled into a van, screaming for help trying to fight them away.
mirio was still following you when he saw the van pull up, his heart started to race and he ran towards you, but he couldn’t stop you from being pulled into the van and driving away.
it happened in a second, before he could even blink.
someone had taken you, and it was his fault.
poly fic:
you were supposed to be going on a date with your boyfriends tonight, but you were going to be a little late after them. you were working late and told them you’d meet them there.
you got ready quickly and walked to meet them at the restaurant they planned for you to.
some people might think it’s a little weird to be dating more then one person, but for you it worked. one was outgoing and one was the complete opposite, it worked perfectly.
sometimes you did have doubts, I mean where did you take place,? they complimented each other well but how did you take part in that?
you pushed those thoughts down and walked up to the place, looking around for them
when you spotted them you saw them both laughing and smiling, and it hurt. it looked like they’d be fine without you. you put your facade back up and walked over to them, sitting down.
it had went well, but you also noticed that when you arrived, they both didn’t laugh like they had when you saw them. you tried, but nothing seemed to work.
you had a feeling in your gut, and through the night it spread to your whole body, hurting and wrenching in pain, it took a toll on your heart.
When you all had finished, they were a little drunk so you called a cab and you all went home.
When you got home you helped them in bed and sat on the couch, thinking over what happened through the night.
had you been that much of a burden to them? you never noticed it before now. they would be much better without you, they looked so much happier just the two of them.
you started pacing around, going through options in your head
if you stayed it would take a toll on there relationship, you did nothing but hold them back.
but if you left, it would only hurt you.
so you decided, you would leave.
you went into your shared bedroom and quietly grabbed a bag packing your clothes, now that you thought of it you had to keep your clothes in a container under the bed while they had there’s stored in the dresser and closet.
should have seen it coming right?
you finished packing and we’re about to walk out when you heard moving on the bed and you stilled, your hand about to grab the doorknob stopped
“y/n? Where are you going?”
shit, it was mirio.
“nowhere mirio, go back to sleep.”
“why do you have a bag?”
you closed your eyes and eternally cursed at yourself. your body tensed when you heard more noises, great you had woken up tamaki.
“w-what’s going on?”
his voice broke your heart, and all the emotions started coming back up, your heart ached more then it ever had.
you turned your head and met both there eyes, and there’s widened at the sight of your face, it was streaked with tears, your eyes were red and your cheeks and dark shade of pink.
mirio quickly got up and walked over to you, while tamaki started crying along with you, knowing what was happening
“y/n you can’t leave us” mirios voice was sad, he was frowning, and you heard tamakis sobs in the background, breaking your heart even further.
“it wasn’t supposed to be like this, you were supposed to be sleeping.” you hung your head low, not meeting his eye contact.
he reached out for you and you quickly pulled away, he wasn’t going to pull you back in.
“I’m leaving. you are both better off without me. please don’t try to stop me I-I want you both to be happy” crying overtook your body now, you pulled your arms around yourself, trying to find some comfort.
“y/n what are you talk-“ Mirio was quickly interrupted by tamakis cry’s, and he went over to soothe him.
that easy for him to back down huh? seems like you were right.
tamaki cried loudly, shouting at you to stay, saying he needed you just as much as mirio.
you turned opening the door walking away from the crying, you couldn’t take it, you needed to leave now before they could suck you back in
you were about to leave when someone grabbed your arm, turning to see tamakis tear struck face, he stood in the hallway, his quirk holding you in place
mirio came up behind him, eyes wide, tears falling silently
you turned your head away, you couldn’t bare the sight of them like that.
“p-please y/n d-don’t leave!” tamaki said and cried loudly, trying to pull you back with his quirk, but you pulled away harshly, slamming the door behind you
as you walked away, back at the apartment tamaki collapsed on the floor.
where did they go wrong? when had they lost you? you were the love of there life. and to think they were going to propose to you, maybe it’s because of dinner, they were nervous. I mean who wouldn’t be nervous when you were going to ask someone to spend the rest of there life with them?
now, they were alone. without you.

Keeping Up With Seijoh Ep. 3
a/n: uwuwuwuwu this is an au since yanno,,,, they didnt really make it to nationals :(
for more seijoh content, check this masterlist out!
GUESS WHOS BACK! BACK AGAIN!
anon:
may i request a scenario where seijoh made it to nationals and atsumu flirts with reader🥺
Tumblr media
CAN WE BLS STOP THIS SANGWOO/ATSUMU TYPA BEAT BC I HONESTLY DONT VIBE W IT AND IT LOWKEY SCARES ME A LITTLE :o
OMLOMLOML YALL MADE IT TO NATIONALS
to be honest, it was,,, unexpected
you were sitting there, on the bench and gripping it in anticipation as seijoh and shiratorizawa were once again at a match point thanks to kyotani’s angry spike
going past 31, they were now 31-30 with seijoh in the lead
you could tell ushijima was getting antsy despite him covering it up and encouraging his team with a one-liner
your own team was buzzing with both nervousness and hope and iwaizumi was clenching and unclenching his fists in anticipation for the last toss
when the ball went up, oikawa’s eyes flashed, arms moving to set and the red-haired spiky guy was now watching which spiker he was going to give it to
however
he tossed it to no one
instead, oikawa’s hand flicked and he dumped the ball
it was like in slow motion and as shiratorizawa’s players scrambled to the floor,
it was too late
the ball bounced on yellow polished floor before rolling away, completely unaware of what just happened and the lives it just changed
your mouth hung open, eyes trailing after the rubber ball like every single people in the gym
then it finally hit you
‘YOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
a scream from iwaizumi lit the candle of happiness and you didnt even care, running out to the court to jump on your captain, tears flowing down his face and his arms squeezing you tightly against his chest
‘AKLDFJJSHKFEOIOWIHFSKESIFOEWIHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
it was all a jumbled noise from everyone, your team, your coaches, the fans in the stand, and even from that orange boy and his team
the boys were hugging each other and crying and sobbing but oikawa’s hold remained on you, your own tears mixing with his sweat and coating his neck
‘you did it, oikawa-san. you did it’
you whimpered and he laughed and you felt him nodding
‘we’re going to tokyo. nationals!’
he choked out
‘OIKAWA!’
the entire gym rumbled and you basked in the joy that the entire team radiated before having to stand with the coaches so they could shake hands with shiratorizawa for a good game
the locker room was loud, even much louder than the gym, with kindaichi’s loud sobbing and mattsuhana’s loud celebratory singing and iwaizumi’s joking shouts and eventually joining in
iwaizumi held his arms out for you and you giggled, crashing straight into him
you wiped his sweat filled face and he sat down on the bench, with you standing between his legs and his large hands gripping your waist
‘it’s not a dream, right?’
he whispered, eyes closed at the gentle feeling of you caressing his face
‘no, iwa-san. nationals is ours’
you soothed and he let out another loud laugh before pulling you close and burying his face in your stomach, probably crying again but this time, out of joy
for years theyve tried
and now, they succeeded
well,,, nationals should be a good thing, right?
hmm,,, maybe the honor of going
but the other players??
oh god
it was obvious when miyagi’s representative entered through those doors and eyes immediately went to their manager
it wasnt like you were the only female manager but you were an unfamiliar team so you have never been seen before
uwu youre so pretty like bow down to the goddess
oikawa’s hold on your hand was tight and his eyes flitted to everyone who looked at them, as if signalling them to back off and you were his
‘wahh, oikawa-san! kageyama told me that the best of the best are in here! he told me to look for fukurodani and nekoma!’
seijoh’s eye twitched at the mention of your new-found friend who you’ve been texting back and forth and him secretly teaching you everything about volleyball since your own team has been too busy preparing for nationals
they watched you try and stand in your tippy toes to find the apparent red and black jerseys and the black, white and gold jerseys
hmm,,,, it seems everyone had the same colors
‘ne, y/n-chan, you trust our team, don’t you? if anything, we’re part of the best of the best! you got the best setter right here!’
oikawa grinned but you nodded distractedly
‘come on, we got to go unpack and train’
iwaizumi nudged so you had to stop looking and you followed your captain, who still held your hand
but this is a typical fanfiction ladies and gents
as you were walking towards the locker room, there was a team that wore maroon colored jackets and were walking towards you
again, this is seijoh’s very first nationals so nobody really knew of them
they were more familiar of the white and purple jackets of shiratorizawa rather than the mint green and white of seijoh
however, oikawa seemed to know them
‘ah’
he whispered out, making you look up at him but his sights were straight towards them, a hard and cold look
‘ara? fresh blood?’
you cringed at the weird analogy and the guy with the black tips, who you infered to be the captain, elbowed him
 ‘excuse us’
he nodded in greeting and you noticed the guy with the bleach hair and you did a double-take, blinking rapidly
‘oh sangwoo?’
KSLDFJKDLFJSLDK KILL ME ALREADY
watari coughed, knowing exactly what you meant and it seems nobody else did except for the sangwoo look-a-like
and he raised an eyebrow in interest
‘hm? you called?’
another guy with gray hair, who looked exactly like him, rolled his eyes and he pulled him forward to walk after their captain
but he didnt let off yet
as he passed you by, he leaned close, breath fanning your ear
‘but its miya atsumu, baby girl’
ON GOD I WANT TO COMMIT WITH HOW GROSS HE IS LIKE BLS
kyo, who was behind you, growled at him and pulled you behind himself
‘she has name, fcker’
atsumu faked a surprise and backed away with his hands up
‘alrighty, then. didnt know you had a bodyguard, girlie. but maybe,, later on, we could get to know each other. alone’
YALL THIS IS GOING TO GET BETTER LATER I PROMISE HES NOT A WEIRDO PERVERT AS HE SOUNDS
osamu was annoyed and dragged him away, leaving you with your team, who were also extremely pissed off, especially oikawa
‘heh, the best setter in the country and yet he acts like a horny dog’
oikawa seethed, a pointy smile etched on his face
‘eh? best setter?’
you wondered but not given an answer because your captain would be damned if that atsumu decided to show up again
the locker room was actually the same back home
but kindaichi was sobbing again
‘t-this room! the best of the best! i cant-too much-’
you were busy hugging him and wiping his tears to notice the third years huddling over by the corner
oikawa was sitting on the bench while iwaizumi was changing into his practice jersey and the other two were flanked beside the captain
‘of course theyve got their eye on her now’
oikawa mumbled, fingers laced together and touching his lips
‘what can you expect? y/n-chan is an extremely pretty girl’
mattsun shrugged
‘but ugh, if i see that cheese face again,, i will fight’
iwa threatened, angrily slipping his arms through the holes
‘he reeked nasty! gross!’
makki agreed
‘so we’re agreeing to keep her in our sights right?’
they agreed to oikawa’s question and were going to stick by that word
but,,,,
what can you expect from star-struck players?
maybe its because theyve worked for so long to reach this point that the fact that they’re even standing in the tokyo stadium felt like a dream
‘guys, i need to go and fill the bottles really quick’
they mumbled distracted agreements so you sighed and lugged the crate of bottles
thank god there was a fountain nearby and as you were capping the last one, a familiar voice rang from behind you
‘oh? baby girl?’
you flinched at the weird nickname and thought that if you stayed quiet, hed leave
‘chibi? hey?’
he asked and made his way to your side, you closing your eyes and looking off to the side
atsumu thought you were interesting, not like every girl who would spread their legs at him and press up to him
the fact that you even AVOIDED looking at him was so foreign to him and your dismissive attitude made him so drawn to you
‘look, im sorry if i made ya uncomfortable earlier’
he,,, apologized?
but you didnt know who he was so you didnt know how out of character it was for him to even say ‘sorry’
'miya-san, hello’
you mumbled, eyes now opened but still focused on the bottle you gripped
he cracked a smile and was he,,,, nervous?
usually, hed say something dumb or sarcastic to cut the tension, but it was like he was even,,, careful,,, with what he wanted to say next
‘how-um-you like it ‘ere?’
if osamu was to see him now, he’d think his brother was kidnapped by those aliens oikawa swore up and down were real and was replaced by some opposite dimension version of atsumu
you gulped, mustering up a small smile before turning to look at him
‘miya-san, dont take offense to this, but just know i have a very loud voice and i can lift 80 pounds. and im the first one to ever beat iwa-san in an arm-wrestling match’
you puffed your cheeks in intimidation with your eyebrows furrowed but accidentally looking more cute rather than scary
were you,,, threatening him?
atsumu paused for a second to assess the situation and really understand the underlying meaning of your words
then he laughed
a real hearty laugh that made him go for a whole minute
‘-ahahaha!! whew, chibi-chan, ya’r a rare one’
wait i dont know how to type you’re with an accent !!!!!
he let out a few more chuckles then wiped a tear that fell
you just stood there 🧍‍♀️
‘you think its funny, miya-san? yahaba-kun and i also have a supernatural telepathy phenomenon-’
‘chibi-chan, i swear i wont hurt ya’
he promised but you backed your face away, an eyebrow raised
‘thats what they all say. if anything, youre scaring me more so i’ll-’
‘wait’
he held out a hand out but he quickly curled it, pulling it back to his chest
‘i,,,, listen i know how basic this may sound but,,,, youre the first to ever be like this to me’
you rolled your eyes
‘you think i havent heard that before? i have oikawa-san in my team, for god’s sake! ‘youre one of a kind’ ‘youre not like other girls’ yadda yadda’ try harder, miya-san’
you tilted your head with a crooked smile
were you,,, playing hard to get?!
atsumu’s eyes shined, wanting to finally do the chasing rather than being chased
‘well, first off, chibi-chan, i need to know your name’
he leaned forward with his hands buried deep inside his maroon jacket pocket
‘my name? what good will that do? you already call me something else dont you? a name is meant to help people call each other and youve been calling me ‘chibi’ so what’s the point of giving you my birth name?’
even with a straight face, atsumu right away knew of your teasing as your eyes were shining brightly and had a hint of amusement in them
oh my god hes in love with you
he was in disbelief of your attitude towards him so he nodded slowly and laughed again
‘what can i do to earn that name then, chibi-chan?’
ehehehe kuroo,,,,, im in danger
you crossed your arms and pouted, leaning forward
‘ehh? why do you want it so bad? do you call others ‘chibi’ too?’
your expression of suspicion was so adorable that he couldnt stop himself from lunging forward and squeezing your cheeks between his fingers
‘so cute. youre my only chibi, chibi-chan’
you hummed, swiftly wiping his touch away from you
‘doubt it. ive only met you today and you’re already acting like this. what makes you think i think youre genuinely interested in me, miya-san?’
‘fate?’
this time, you chuckled, head leaning down
and as you looked back up, your heart stopped
by the distance, there was a familiar-looking haired boy with golden eyes and an also familiar black hair and steel blue eyes
oh dear
your emotions went sour but you saw the black and white-haired male laugh and the steel eyed male shake his head in disapproval but had the hint of the smallest smile
they,, were now happy
‘fate, you say’
you mumbled distractedly
‘fate instilled magnets in us so i just cant help but be drawn to ya’
atsumu grinned but you averted your eyes to look at him, a soft and genuinely happy look
‘would those magnets be strong enough to draw us together, even if we were in another life? if we were fated, would we meet again?’
you looked up at him, your eyes still glistening but this time, with the slightest bit of hope
atsumu sent you a confused glance but he still shrugged
‘i guess so, if i’m so drawn to you right now. maybe in our past life we were,,, together?’
he tested out, expecting you to roll your eyes and walk away but you laughed
‘well, i just witnessed it happening so maybe its possible?’
you wondered out loud
atsumu blinked again, getting more and more interested in you
‘chibi-chan?’
he asked you and you jumped slightly to look at him with a smile
‘say, miya-san, what if i told you that i remember my past life? and what would you say if i told you that you were in it?’
you grinned but atsumu scrunched his face together before smiling
‘hmm, i dont know what youre sayin but it proves my point!’
he exclaimed but you cocked an eyebrow, a sad smile resting on your lips
‘now what would you say if i told you that you were my nurse?’
a/n: omg i actually hate how this turned out like bls blast me on this
a/n pt 2: during my break, i actually re-read ‘in another life’ and i wrote this up after i finished it again and can i just say? I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CREDITS TO LITTLELUXRAY ON AO3

re: fumetsu no anata e as of chapter 139.2
this started as a response to @bestbonnist‘s post on chapter 139.2 but now i’m just dissecting differences and similarities between tonari, mizuha, and kahak like im writing an essay for a uni class. i interchangeably use he/they pronouns for fushi and my writing may be clumsy (bc im not actually writing for uni ❤️).
mizuha is a broken mirror to tonari (and kahak a foil to the two aforementioned) in this modern-day arc, especially in their expressions of love for fushi. tonari’s love for fushi is aged over hundreds of years and mizuha’s, at first glance, is an infatuation just based on how long they’ve known each other. im the biggest kahak stan ever, but even i understand kahak’s love started as an infatuation for parona’s form. though, i’d consider the word infatuation compromised when it comes to defining mizuha’s love, bc u cant be sure if her love for fushi is entirely her own, seeing as it had been passed from generation to generation of guardians.
Tumblr media
(chapter 134, read right to left)
tonari and mizuha aren’t that different once you look deeply into the both of them. mizuha’s personality and actions are factors in tonari’s dislike of her, but what ultimately repels tonari from mizuha is that she knows they’re similar, and that manifests most clearly in how she reacts to fushi being with mizuha. i.e. resenting fushi for using her friends’ vessels to help their “love life” in chapter 135.5. she can’t stand mizuha bc mizuha is able to express her love for fushi and fushi does not reject (or accept) it; tonari still hasn’t fully admitted to herself that she likes fushi romantically (perhaps because she can’t separate it from the devotion that led her to harden her body to poisons and to promise her corpse to rest at fushi’s feet), so seeing mizuha appear to progress further than she has irritates her. as for kahak, tonari only has the biases of the other pseudo-immortals and her own of past hayase reincarnations to rely on. (this is not as plot-related, but these two also both like books. kahak read tonari’s fushi book, so i wish they actually met, but in a world where tonari didnt hate hayase beyond death.)
tonari as a child seemed like she thought herself superior to others, perhaps a natural result of her upbringing. she was raised on a prison island, but she herself never committed any crime; banding together w other kids like her, writing about her life in her book (which keeps her separate from or above others in a way). but this thinking ceases at her relationship w fushi. however, i believe this started before they even met. tonari’s childhood dream at seven years old was to write a book her father would be impressed by. she also used to believe in god, while her family was still whole. she even prayed to god when he decided to participate in the tournament in chapter 35. however, she stops referring to god by the time her father had shown tarnish. coincidentally, she meets fushi, who would “upend everything... jeannanda and [her] fate.” she ends up, instead of writing for her father, writing a book to allow a peaceful existence for fushi for whenever they decided to come back. this act shows that the adult tonari has written fushi to a level above her, out of her reach.
Tumblr media
(chapter 35)
here i’ll quote ray’s words about kahak and tonari: “she also has a surprising amount in common with Kahaku, too, with the ‘I want to protect you even if you disagree.’” the way tonari had waited and honed her body for fushi resembles kahak’s attachment; she had finished living for herself, so now she was only allowing herself to live to further create an ideal vessel for fushi (which also brings up one of hayase’s goals). the difference is that kahak lived for fushi because, as raikkousaki said, fushi was the only thing he was “ALLOWED to live for.” however, while tonari is unquestionably devoted to fushi now, what pulled her to him was black hood’s coercion. as a result of black hood’s words to her, she manipulated fushi into helping her solve her problems, to save her from the island. this first “meeting” also revealed that she was attracted to their white hair; she later admits that she admires their fair skin, contributing to the idea that she could view fushi as the equivalent of a god or at the least, a vision of purity (which is :/ imo, bc of her dark skin). we should also keep in mind that, this, technically her first impression of fushi, and his later display of violent immortality in the arena would further his image as a “legend.”
mizuha was exposed to fushi’s immortality and reveres him like tonari and kahak respectively do and did. instead of the specific word “legend,” it’s “immortal monster.” her first formal exposure to fushi’s fabled power was not unlike tonari’s, since mizuha had went into her grandfather’s library and read on fushi in chapter 124.1. after this, she manipulates fushi to save her, again paralleling the beginning of tonari’s relationship with fushi, but it’s from her overbearing mother and herself. both tonari and mizuha forced their problems onto fushi, but mizuha doesn’t have black hood stepping in front of her saying “you must lead him.” instead, she may have been influenced by the left hand, but i believe mizuha’s thoughts are majorly her own (left hand lies in wait within mizuha’s consciousness like a predator), and what they appear to say is that she’s leading fushi until he decides to follow her willingly. as for kahak, we only have a few pages on his childhood and what we can make of it and of his actions as an adult is that he was willing to follow fushi wherever they went, until left hand betrayed them both.
mizuha’s superiority complex comes from a different place than young tonari’s; she was a prestigious child from young, in addition to her fear of her uniqueness fading as she aged. this caused her to feel separate from other children. when she meets fushi, she sees how different he is from everyone else and uses subtle ways to keep him with her, while never directly admitting she wants him to stay with her, except for ch 125′s “i’m scared. stay with me tonight,” after her mother’s sudden murder. she usually uses excuses instead, like cutely demanding fushi to walk with her after school and go on dates with her.
Tumblr media
(chapter 36 vs. chapter 128.2)
as fushi was introduced to the people around tonari and mizuha, they received similar reactions, i.e. “your hair is so pretty!” and “woah, his hair is white!” in the pages following these, the similarities continue into tonari and mizuha gaining ownership over fushi: in ch 36 oopa declares “tonari found him. so he belongs to tonari,” while the islanders try to get on fushi’s good side, and in ch 128 fushi goes out of their way to ask which club mizuha belongs to when asked to join a club (vocalizing her claim on them so she doesn’t have to directly do so).
Tumblr media
(chapters 38, 106, and 139)
when the opening comes for mizuha to actually admit her feelings in chapter 139, she tries, but demands instead, “so... love me.” this recalls kahak’s confession to kai in 105.3, that he wants to “protect fushi’s humanity.” kahak and mizuha were both covered in blood when they spoke, but the atmospheres and characters are different; mizuha is clever w her words, but still too immature to let go of her pride, whereas kahak was the exact opposite. he rid of himself of his pride for fushi when he was a child, but said a lot of the wrong things to fushi when it came down to it. additionally, mizuha, when she wants something, she’ll phrase her words so that it seems like there’s only one choice: to follow her. this has been the case for others including fushi (chapters 120.2′s testing of hanna with “if i died, would you cry for me?” and 132.1′s “i’ll teach you about love” and the following guilt-trip). tonari is more direct with her words and meaning than either mizuha or kahak, bc of her personality. she directly confronts fushi when she realizes he had felt betrayed by her in chapter 38, because she still needed him for his plans. but mizuha is more direct with her actions; in chapter 129.1, she latches herself onto fushi, while trying to get information out of him. after the failed marriage proposal, rather than physically attaching himself to fushi like mizuha, kahak used acts of domesticity and protection to subtly appeal to and maintain his space next to them.
Tumblr media
(chapter 38 vs chapter 139)
tonari’s “there are people in this world who are better off dead” above isn’t far from the knockers’ reasoning behind “wishing for death is paramount to being dead” and the reason for mizuha’s mother’s death: left hand decided to “eliminate the cause of [mizuha’s breaking point’s] stress.” what this shows is that tonari can also justify murder, though granted, this is from a hundred chapters ago. however, this black and white thinking comes back in the modern era where tonari holds prejudice against mizuha because of her relation to hayase. tonari knows her dislike of mizuha is unfair, she can’t get around it. tonari is still as prideful as she was when she lived on jeannanda; it’s just that she is able to use fushi to justify her opinions now. i also want to bring up mizuha’s reaction to her mother’s death and funa’s knocker’s “purging and guidance.” mizuha seems comfortable with the sight of death, despite having a more normal childhood than tonari, because her actual main concern overwhelms it; she is always thinking on how she can appeal to fushi (almost like kahak), or in other words, how to salvage her pride. so instead of being concerned over being the actual murderer, she is concerned with appearing as a murderer to fushi.
so to actually answer ray’s question, objectively, tonari’s love is as excessive as kahak and mizuha’s. but personally, i think tonari’s love for fushi right now is also unhealthy, though it comes out of good will. kahak’s love also ended in fushi’s benefit, but it was undoubtedly unhealthy. and ofc, mizuha’s love is also unhealthy; she reaches for fushi for perfection, tonari reaches for fushi for humility.

saving a princess who doesn't need saving
Genre: fluff
A Hanta Sero x reader
Here's Part two of sero x princess! Reader
Synopsis: A time where elves, fairies, dragons, and other wonderful creatures live in harmony, how would you choose to live? On a pirate ship? Making potions? Who do you stumble upon along the journey? A soldier, a poet, a king? Well, that’s for you to decide.
 (masterlist is under navigation!)
a/n: hey guys! You guys enjoyed pirate sero so much so here we are again~ I'm still in the middle of my hmc phase so I'm also going to try not to let that show with this fic in particular. I also kind of changed the course of this but if you enjoyed it so much anon, i could make a part 2 or something! Requests are open so please don't be shy to request anything! Let's get started~
Tumblr media
"what do you mean by 'raiding a kingdom', captain?"
 "I said what I said."
Captain bakugo said to one of his duller crewmates, Denki. Everyone was in shock to say the least. You raided other ships and bumped into the navy at sea before but raiding an entire kingdom? What was their captain thinking?
"wouldn't that be a little off brand for us pirates, Captain?" sero asked, re-tying his bandana on his head, looking inquisitively at the blonde hothead who was scanning his big map resting on his desk.
"we're not doing it for the knack of it. We're doing it because a lot of people are stuck in poverty and being abused by their king. We're doing them a favor by saving them from harm. We can also get all their riches and give them back. Win-win." bakugo said as he marked the place where the ship would meet the rocky cliffs where the castle was perched high above it. Even though bakugo seemed like a very evil person, he was really kind-hearted and always placed others before himself. Everyone, including sero admired that. That's why they joined his crew in the first place. A sea robin hood they called him. Sero wanted to be known as someone who was like his captain, someone who was willing to fight the world if it meant to save others he cared for.
"we'll arrive there at dawn. Since climber over there is the most flexible out of all of us, he could get a rope up for use to get to and storm the castle." bakugo said, pointing at sero. You see, sero was known for being the most flexible out of everyone. He could climb the tallest poles and cliffs and make it look so easy. He nodded his head in agreement. There was no one else better for the job anyway.
Everyone left the room and went off to get ready for the big fight. Mina, denki, and kirishima decided to chat and plan in their quarters, bakugo stayed in his study to thoroughly flush his plan of attack out and sero decided to stay on the dock to look out at the dark and shining seawater under the crisp and white moonlight, waiting for the clock to tick down before he could finally help his crew win and free people.
This could be a step closer to person sero truly wants to be.
Tumblr media
The sun was barely peeking out of the horizon when the crew docked the ship and handed sero a long rope. With ease, the raven-haired boy started to climb up the rough terrain to use as leverage. Soon the rough side of the cliff turned to the smooth limestone of the castle. Sero couldn't tell how far up he is when he jumped over one of the balconies and tied to rope tightly to the banister, letting the other pirates take their time to climb up the rope.
He turned around to check the insides of the castle but was met with a knife made of crystal to his throat. He looked into your (e/c) eyes and admired how your face was twisted with this determined look. You wore a dress made of the finest silk and lace, making it seem like you were innocent, naïve but you were quite the opposite. You looked like you were willing to slit his throat right there- wait, what was he doing? Why was he staring at you? You were on their side so why look so starstruck?
Sero reflexes moved as his hand swiftly grabbed his sword and hit your knife out of your hand, you moved to catch it only to be met with the same position you tried to place the pirate in, his sword pressed to your throat. "you have courage and skill princess." you looked down and kicked his feet, causing him to fall to the ground. Just as you were about to retrieve your knife back, he grabbed your arm and pulled your back into his chest, sword back resting on your throat. "but not enough to defeat me." he whispered in your ear. He got a whiff of your hair, making him turn away to try to get your mind off of it.  He was a pirate so why is a small sniff of your scent making him blush.
You glared at him from the corner of your eye. "why are you here anyway?" you muttered angrily. You knew there was no use for squirming or breaking out of his grasp. If he was here to take over the castle then he wouldn't mind killing you off.
"we're here to save your peoples' asses from your asshole of a king, that's what." someone said. you looked over to see a blonde man, you presumed he was the captain. Next to go over your balcony was a pink-skinned girl, a boy with a streak lighting bolt in his yellow hair, and a man with a toothy grin. "take care of her, climber. We'll deal with the king. This little princess is already too much trouble if he let her roam." the captain said before pushing the glass doors into the castle open and striding in with his other companions, walking out into the corridors. You could hear the battle erupt between the guards and their little group.
"look, I don't like my father as much you guys do," you said, trying to look back at the black-haired man to no avail. His grip was tight yet gentle on you. It wasn't as rough as you imagined being held hostage would be. Was he purposefully being gentle with you?
"what do you want to do then princess? You giving me a sob story won't give me a reason for letting you go." he taunted you. You could tell he had a smirk on his face as he said these words. You scoffed at that. Damn, he really did knew what he was doing.
"look, if you're going to fight for the freedom of my people, then I would join you instead of being locked in this tower with my father and his ulterior motives," you said. People would've thought you were lying but what you said was true. You knew of your father's intention from the start but you had to play dumb if you didn't want to die in the hands of assassins. "I trained for this moment. I can help you." you pleaded. If it was your choice, you would've disposed of your father a long time ago but he just had too many guards around him that you couldn't seem to get him alone in a room.
Sero's breath hitched. You sounded so strong and confident. You reminded him of bakugo, how headstong and how you thought of others. But even so, could he really trust you? He thought for a moment before turning you in his grasp. You finally got a good look at his face. His black hair tied in a small bun at the back of his head, his eyes glistened in thought, a scar running down his lips but it didn't make his lips any less delectable- wait, what were you thinking? He was a pirate, your captor, a potential enemy if he doesn't accept your offer of help.
 "fine."
 "what-"
"It was either you fight with us or against us. I'm glad you actually chose the right one. Don't make me regret this." he said, handing you your crystal knife then taking your wrist and pulling you into the chaos of battle. He swung his sword at the guards, encouraging you to join in too.
"man, how am I going to explain this to bakugo." he muttered under his breath. He looked back at you and smiled. Maybe it wasn't such a bad decision to let you fight with them. He'll just have to convince bakugo that having you in the crew would be one of the best decisions he could make.
Tumblr media
And that's all! I had loads of fun thinking of lines and stuff for this prompt. Hope you guys also had some fun reading this one! Requests are still open for this series by the way so please don't be shy to leave anything! Love you guys 💖♥️💕

This Series is also a tickls series, so if you dont like it, sorry oof.
Fandom: Marvel
-
"CRAP" Sam yelled as he flew right under a collapsing tie beam. "Language!" The cap yelled through the intercom, they were on a mission. There had been an explosion in an old warehouse building, no one knows how it happened but once they got there the place was covered with fire and dead bodies.
They were now in the building, fighting what they believed to be ex hydra workers that went into hiding for more experiments.
Cap fought from the ground whilst Sam was trying to get some shots from above while reading looked for any potential prisoners.
"Ain't seeing nothing from RedWibg Cap, the place is about to blow, we've gotta get out" Steve had just taken out about 17- now 18 Hydra agents, throwing them in the burning flames or beating them in combat.
"Alright, have one more look around the perimeter. Nat get the Jet prepared for exit incase the place actually does blow" He yelled, fighting off the last two Hydra agents in his area, throwing one onto another knocking them into a large fire screaming.
"K, sam make sure there arent any survivors" Nat ran back to the jet and started it up, the lights turning on as it slowly began to hover over the ground.
"Will do Widow" Sam flew up above the collapsing building to get another view of the area.
"Black Widow or Natasha" A sassy voice explained down the intercom.
"Okay Spider Lady" A grunt was heard that made both Cap and Sam laugh. Sam was looking through Redwing and his own eyes and couldn't seem to spot anything. "It all seems clear" Just as he were about to fly back down though he noticed something.
A young girl, her hair stuck together with some blood, mixed with dirt and wood. Her skin covered with brown mud and small cuts, she wore a white ripped hospital gown, too no longer white- or had seemed to be in years?...
"Holy shit-"
"Language!"
"There's a kid- west bound, see if you can get her. Covered in dirt and seemingly blood, right near where the fire seemed to have started from the burnt wood scraps and dying fires around her"
"A kid? West bound? Nat how long we got left?" Steve asked, running through the flames, dodging their burns and running as fast as he could.
"Before the place explodes? From my view about 150 seconds, just over two minutes. But you're gonna need to be fast so we can all get out." Nat watched over the intercoms and the computers showing where Steve was.
"Take a left"
"What?"
"Take a left! I'm giving you the fastest route to the west bound. Keep running until you find large doors, go through them and the last one at the end should lead to the girl"
Steve stopped asking the questions and complied. It wasnt his first time saving a kid, but the closer he got, the more he saw about the place. Cages, torture chambers, training halls.
This place wasnt a good one, especially for a kid... He thought.
He found the large doors, chained shut. Before he reached them he threw his shield, breaking the locks almost instantly. He ran through, but stopped in his tracks. The room was full of blood, the sticky walls glossed over, there were bones, some shattered, some scattered. Not hundreds, probably enough for the bodies of a good couple of people though... it was gruesome. Some of the worst things he had seen in a while, probably since... well. The blip?..
How was a kid kept here? How did we not know sooner?...
The thoughts span round the super solider head, taking up more time than he would have cared for.
"Steve? What's happened why'd you stop? We've got a minute!" Nat asked, she was getting impatient, the adrenaline was rising and so were the flames, everyone felt on edge here, as soon as they stepped down something felt very wrong.
"Shit, yeah. Alright, I'm going!" Steve ran and soon found the young girl, she didn't seem too strictly harmed for being so close to the flames. And for surviving in this, this prison.
"Got her, how long have I got left?"
"45 seconds"
Steve now had the young girl over his shoulder, he was trying to run even faster than he had before. This place. Something else had been happening here.
As the 100 year old ran though, he seemed to notice the fire die down wherever he ran to, creating a simple path for him to run in. He spotted the jet, Sam was standing in the open doorway, waiting to see if cap would make it. Silently cheering him on.
"10 seconds Cap"
"Start taking off now, we'll make it."
"FUCK NO! HURRY UP MAN" Sam yelled, this time to Captain America ratger rgan through the intercoms.
Time felt like it was going in slow motion, Steve got close enough just to jump and as soon as he did the whole place behind blew up. It all went so quickly after that, Sam grabbed his hand, holding on with all his might as Steve held the young girl. Nat, quicker than ever, sped off into the sky, miles from the ground to make sure the explosion wouldn't hit them as harshly as it should have.
Steve lay on the floor, with the young girl cradled in his arms behind the shield so she wouldn't get burnt. He was staring at her, even though she was covered in- well not so flattering things, she was beautiful. Something within began stirring. Something warm, familiar...
"Holy shit my dude. We almost died!" Sam droned, going to sit down on the chairs they had.
"We usually almost die, its part of our job" Nat explained, walking in and rolling her eyes. "Nahhh, Nat even you know that place was off" Sam looked over to the spy who sighed and walked over to Steve to help him up.
"How's the kid?"
Steve stood up and pulled away the shield to show off a little girl with y/c/h hair, covered in mud and pieces of blood, tucked up into his chest, breathing gently. "Wow" Sam sighed from the back.
"She's not in as much bad of a state as I would have imagined?" Nat said, watching over the little girl. "She wasnt too close to the big fire, must have been thrown into the mud and spotty snow from the explosion." Sam suggested.
Steve just held onto the small angel in his arms. He felt as though it were only he and she in the world, that time was no longer relevant. He memorized every piece of her face, even the pieces with dirt, cuts and bruises.
Suddenly Nat snapped him out of it, "Alright, I'm going to go get Bruce over. See if she's alright. For now just but her on a bed." Steve nodded as the Spider left to go call Dr. Banner.
"We haven't got beds though?- oh fuck you man" Steve laughed at Sam, he had just pulled out a bed from the sides of the ship. "You didnt know?" He teased. He and Nat had let sam sleep on the chairs or ground for the past few years. It seemed to be a secret agreement not to tell him amongst the avengers.
"Nah man, that's cold" Steve placed the little girl down and pulled up the walls of the bed to make sure she wouldn't fall out. Watching her little breaths as Sam's words started to fade away.
"Oi you even listening to me?" Sam asked unamused sitting up and looking at the fallen solider. "She's gonna be alright Steve" Steve sighed, deep down he knew she'd be fine. But he felt something strange. Fear. Like he had just found an old journal or someone he hadn't seen for a very long time.
He sighed and stood up, walking over to the bird man who was now sitting up watching the soldiers actions. They both heard Natasha in the background talking with Bruce.
"She's gonna be alright Steve"
"I hope so..."
It was a while till they had all landed at the compound. Rogers and Wilson played some card games- dont question it, Roger's made Tony buy him loads for each mission. He enjoyed the games. He also won most of them.
Steve picked the young girl up and brought her to Bruce as the doors opened up, they lauded her down on a hospital bed and hurried off. Bruce stayed back checking in on everyone. "The mission?"
"A success as always"
Steve seemed quiet, Sam answering fir him rather than fir himself. He watched the girl be scurried along into the building.
"Did you clean all her wounds?"
"Mhm"
Steve looked down and nodded before they all began walking. He didnt mean to seem any less- well captain america-y, but he definitely had something on his mind. Bruce began to follow quickly to ask what's up.
"Hmm? Oh.. nothing. Just worried for the child" Steve tried to brush the feeling off but couldn't his gut had other plans. They wanted to see the girl, see if she was okay.
"She's gonna be alright, she only needs a few tests done- safe ones of course, blood pressure, cut cleansing etc" Bruce smiled at the much taller man. Oh god he was short. Steve smiled back to the Dr with 7 PHD's.
"Thanks Banner, I'm gonna go see Stark"
"Okay, stay safe, I'll tell you when she's improved"
Steve nodded and walked into the building, turning an opposite way to Banner and going to go see Stark. Steve was secretly very grateful Bruce would tell him about the child once she was improving. He felt a connection.
"Stark?" The 100 year old asked, knocking on the doors to the Lab.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, Open the Doors for Roger's Pleade and Thank you" The billionaire didnt move from his seat, he had been working on some new tech as usual.
"Thanks F.R.I.D.A.Y" Steve walked in, still in his spandex from the mission covered in blood and dirt with little scuff marks all over from the fire flames.
"Its an 8 Code Pin Rogers"
"I know I know, I just can't seem to remember it"
Tony rolled his eyes and looked up leaning on his chair with one arm resting over the top.
"What's up?"
Steve furrowed his brows. "Hmm?"
"You, you seem... less Super, more Man"
Steve rolled his eyes, "I'm not Super Man Tony!" Tony just shrugged and chewed the side of his cheek.
"Dunno there Cap" The genius stood up and walked over to him, the man was much seemingly smaller without his heals on, just bare foot walking around. He got extremely close to the Cap and got on his tip toes leaning in. If he wanted he could have kissed the man he were so close, though they both knew it wouldn't happen, Tony just liked getting close to annoy people.
That's when the billionaire squealed and almost fell to the ground with a jump back, a light blush on his face. "Dick" Steve smirked at the man, he sure was one ticklish man, billionaire, genius who cares. He was still ticklish. Tony went to go sit back down.
"So what's up?" This time, happily keeping his distance.
"I saved a kid today"
Tony furrowed his brows and chuckled, slowly clapping his hands. "Well done soldier, you saved a kid"
"Tony im serious"
"Well I didn't really think you were lying-"
Steve stepped forward making the Billionaire loose his confidence. He never minded being tickled, but then again it didnt help his reputation being melted into a giggly mess. He was still really nervous. Steve smirked at the man but then continued.
"She was covered in dirt and bits of blood. But before I found her, I ran through a hall. It was Dark, but the raging fires lit it up. There were bones, scattered. Probably enough for a good few people, some big some small. And blood, all over the walls..."
Steve tensed up, remembering the place. "It reminded me of the war with Thanos."
Tony stayed quiet, no longer fearful of childish tickles. It seemed horrifying. Even for them. "Okay, send me the Locations, I'll get F.R.I.D.A.Y up and working on it alright?" Tony wasn't the best when it came to comforting, but he knew he could do something.
Steve looked up at him and smiled thankfully, but Tony coukd tell there was something else bothering. Yet he didn't want Steve to be too focused on it all.
"Hey, here" Tony grabbed something from within a draw, it had a captain America's shield on the front, he handed it to steve. Just a normal sketch book. And some pencils. "You're welcome to use these and sit down at the window or something while I work. Keep your mind off things.
"Thanks Tony" Steve smiled at the billionaire, he wasnt great at comforting, but he knew what Steve wanted. It was a strange friendship that's for sure.
"Look at the first page too! I did a little something" The billionaire smirked as Steve turned the book open, on the front was an IronMan helmet with a little speech bubble saying "I Am IronMan" and a little stick figure with a shield in a cage in the bottom corner saying "I stink!"
Tony burst out laughing at Steve's expression. Let's just say his laughing continued for longer than expected...

Love Finds A Way
(sequel to “See You Again) ( A Harry Hook x reader story)
Part 11
"I love you."
Harry cradled her jaw with his palm as his thumb gently glided across her cheek.  Hadley closed her eyes leaning into it.
"Haddie… I … I love you too."
Hadley's heart nearly leapt out of her chest.
Harry ducked his head slowly bringing it closer to hers. He was close enough that she could still smell the sea and metal permeating from his jacket.
She sucked in a sharp breath just as his lips were about to collide with hers.
However….  Their moment was interrupted by a shriek coming from the deck.
Startled, the two jumped away and looked around for the source, only to notice that the music had stopped and Ben and Uma had stopped dancing.
Grabbing Harry's hand,  Hadley led them back to the main deck.  She stopped when she saw the others still on the stairs, this time looking to the opposite higher deck.
"Cool stained glass window" Hadley said pointing at as she stopped next to Evie.
"Buts whats going on?" Hadley questioned as she looked around at the others.
They all shrugged.
"Ben's been spelled" Mal squeaked.
"Uma found your spell book" Evie realised.
"Ohhhhh.." Harry started " so tha's what happened".
"Wait … Harry did you know about this?" Evie asked looking over at him.
"Nah.  Wasn't me business." Harry shrugged.
Mal looked from the window to Ben knowing what she had to do.
There was a lot of back and forth between Mal and Uma trying to keep Ben's focus and a little of Uma shouting at Fairy Godmother.
Mal gained his attention and she started rambling, a little too quickly for Hadley to understand.  Her rambling ceased only when she stepped forward and kissed him.
All around people were gasping,waiting.
When she pulled away there was a moment where no one said anything, the only thing heard was Ben whisper Mals name.  The whole deck signed in relief that the king was back to normal.
"True loves kiss… works every time" Evie sighed wistfully.
Uma however, had other plans as she rushed towards Fairy Godmother demanding and reaching for the wand.
When Hadley and Evie blocked her path Uma looked for another way out.
Glancing over the railing to the water Uma smirked dashing over towards it. The Vks and everyone else rushed after her yelling for her to stop. She stops and turned around still clinging to the railing as Mal spoke up.
"Uma, I know you. You are so much more than just a villain,  and you have to believe me because I've been there.  Do not let your pride get in the way of something you really want."
Uma looked around, then her necklace, or well her mothers necklace started glowing.  Mal stepped forward to take her hand, but Uma turned, climbing up and over the railing, all while they shouted for her to stop.  She dove into the dark waters the rest running to find her but she didn't surface.
Suddenly the waters started swirling, creating a large whirlpool. It got bigger and bigger, until it was taller than the yacht itself.  Every one backed away scared.  Hadley felt Harry's arm wrap around her waist pulling her close to him.
The cyclone suddenly burst as Uma sprung from its middle spraying water all over the deck and everyone who ran trying to shield themselves. When the water subsided they ran back to the rail, to find Uma, this time as a giant cecaelia. The long tentacles matched the teal of her dress and swirled just under the surface of the water.
Uma laughed maniacally, spreading her arms wide as she taunted them.
"True loves kiss won't defeat this. The world will know my name." She screamed.  She started snapping a tentacle at the deck causing everyone to duck and be sprayed  with water again
Harry pulled Hadley close, he noticed that Evie was directly in line with a tentacle snap and thought fast.  He quickly grabbed her arm pulling her towards them and shielded them both.
Uma snapped a few more times to startle everyone, laughing the entire time.
When it was safe and they could stand properly again Evie, although stunned, thanked Harry for saving her.  He, however, had no time to say anything because Mal started smoking.  Literally smoking. Purple and black smoke wound around and completely enveloped her as her eyes glowed vibrant green.  Those closest to her quickly backed up unsure of what was happening. Ben went to rush towards her but was blown back when a gust of air came through the smoke clearing it.  Left in Mals place was a brilliant purple dragon.  Evie and Hadley looked at each other in shock, jaws hitting the deck below.
"Did you know she could do that?!" They both frantically asked as they ran to the rail which dragon Mal had flown over.
Uma cackled but quickly stopped when Mal Got a fireball at her.  She retaliated by snapping a tentacle at her.
They ducked as Mal flew over the deck to avoid it.
Mal circled around and blew a straight line of fire right to Umas head, which she narrowly missed by ducking under the water.  Only to resurface, causing a large wave  to splash up the side of the boat and rock it.  Everyone screamed and held onto each other to try and stay up as the yatch rocked roughly.  They were all startled when Ben let out a loud roar. He threw his crown and jacket at Jay and dove over the railing despite everyone yelling for him to stop.
He swam in between the two looking from one to the other begging them to stop.  He started talking about listening and respecting each other.
The crowd stood in suspense after Ben asked Uma to be a part of the difference and not be against it.
Umas features softened, shoulders slumping and tentacles no longer in defense as she thought.  She stretched out one to Ben's outstretched hand and delicately placed his gold ring on it.
Uma smiled sadly saying nothing as she turned and ducked under the water swimming off.
Hadleys head hung.  She was hoping that Uma would accept his offer.  She felt Harry's hand on her shoulder as she looked up, giving him a tight smile as he watched Uma swim away.  Everyone's attention had turned to dragon Mal as she hovered over the deck with a puff of smoke, human Mal landed on the upper deck magically changing her dress to match the one in the glass window startled as the fabric started singeing.  She patted them out quickly and evie met her at the bottom of the stairs and led her to Ben, again, and tripped when Evie pushed her to him.
"I owe you guys so much" the vks laughed as they agreed with him.
" really, if there is anything you need or anything i can do for you please-" he was interrupted by Evie stepping up.
"Actually there is Ben, um, I know a girl who would really love to come to Auradon. Its Drizzellas daughter, Dizzy.  She's like a little sister to Hadley and me." She smiled at Hadley.
"Then she should come." Ben smiled.
He started to say something Hadley interrupted this time.
"Ben there are a lot of kids who would really love it here in Auradon.  Kids just like us who deserve a second chance."
"Can we maybe get you a.. a list?" Evie said hopefully.
"Yes absolutely"
Everyone cheered until a guard came up with Mal's spell book that was found below deck.  She ultimately decided to give it up to Fairy Godmother, who eagerly took it and whisked away with it.
Hadley felt her arm being tug gently. She turned around looking at Harry who was smiling just as wide. He tugged her closer holding her hands.
"Make sure me name is at the top of the list would ya."
Hadley feinded  thought for a moment.
"Hmmmm… Dizzy definitely is first on the list." She teased.
"Oh really?" Harry chuckled and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Hadley laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Hadleys smile grew wide looking up into his eyes.  They seemed brighter, more blue, like the kind of blue Hadley had only seen in an Auradon sky.
They must have had the whole crowd invigorated because Evie and Ruby both shouted " Kiss her!"
Harry and Hadley laughed along with the rest.
He looked down at her smiling as she jokingly shooed at them.
"Ye don' have ta tell me twice." He whispered.
He gently grabbed her chin making her look up at him.
She closed her eyes and met him halfway as he leaned toward her. His soft, but slightly chapped, lips collided with hers and the rest of the world slowly faded out.
His arm around her waist pulled her closer and his other hand moved to rest on her cheek.
Hadley felt her cheeks radiate heat but couldn't care as she kissed him.
They were so lost in each other that they didnt see the others scheming.
Hadley and Harry pulled away laughing when they felt a spray of cold water hit them from all sides.
(Ben)
Looking back at yesterday
I thought I gave it everything
But still there's so much road ahead of me
Harry wrapped his arms around Hadley's waist hugging her close.
(Mal)
When I looked into your eyes
I guess I didn't recognize
Who we are and all that we can be
Harry took hadleys hands following everyone elses movement.
(Ben and Mal)
Sometimes it's hard to find yourself
But it's worth it in the end
'Cause in your heart is where it all begins
(All)
We gotta be bold
We gotta be brave
We gotta be free
We gotta get loud
Making that change
You gotta believe (whoa)
We'll look deep inside
And we'll rise up and shine
We can be bold
We can be brave
Let everyone see
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me
Hadley let go of Harry's hand as Evie pulled her to the ships railing looking out at the isle.  Carlos joined them and the three linked arms.
(Evie, Hadley and Carlos)
There's something special that I've learned
It's together we can change the world
Everybody's got something that they can bring
Mal and Jay joined them.
(Mal and Jay)
When you take a look inside yourself
Do you wish that you were something else?
But who you are is who you need to be
Evie pulled Mal and Hadley away holding their hands.
 (Evie, Mal and Hadley)
Sometimes it's hard to find yourself
But it's worth it in the end
'Cause in your heart is where it all begins
They separated and formed a large circle with everyone else splashing in the water and laughing.
(All)
We gotta be bold
We gotta be brave
We gotta be free
We gotta get loud
Making that change
You gotta believe (whoa)
We'll look deep inside
And we'll rise up and shine
We can be bold
We can be brave
Let everyone see
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me
Everyone  joined evie and Ben at the stairs.
(Evie and Mal)
We all can do a part
We know that it can be the start
To bring about the difference that we need (yeah)
(All)
I promise we can work this out
I promise we can see it through
Hadley reached out and grabbed harrys hand.
Don't you know it's up to me
It's up to me and you
They charged the center of the dance floor splashing as they went and formed a large circle  with people dancing in the middle.
(All)
We gotta be bold
We gotta be brave
We gotta be free
We gotta get loud
Making that change
You gotta believe (whoa)
We'll look deep inside
And we'll rise up and shine
We can be bold
We can be brave
Let everyone see
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
Hadley pulled harry out to the middle. He scooped her up and spun around as the water went flying. He quickly kissed her as he set her down. He grabbed her hand as they danced out of the circle.
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me (whoa, whoa, hey)
It starts with you and me
Mal and Ben waved to the crowd as they cheered.
The Djs kicked back up and upbeat music flooded the deck.
Hadley held harrys’ hand as he spun her and she kicked water up at him.
Only a few more chapters until the end :’(  but at least they finally kissed!! If you like part 11 and would like part 12 please comment and like!  As always you can read the illustrated version over on my Wattpad (@phelpsphan).  If you would like to be added to the tag list please message me!
Summary: You would think that six months in Auradon would do any villain kid good.  Well, not Hadley.  After the events of the Coronation, Hadley's mood took a downward spiral; and for one reason, guilt.  She'd broken a promise and left her best friend on the Isle of the Lost.  How will she handle seeing him again when certain circumstances bring her back to the Isle? Will she finally tell him what she really feels?
Disclaimer: I do not own any characters in Descendants.  Hadley and the plot between her and Harry are mine.

Cliches - Carter Hart.
Tumblr media
Carter Hart x Reader.
Summary: Carter is the popular guy while Y/N is just the girl who keeps to herself. She starts tutoring him and they rekindle a friendship that they used to have which leads to even more after learning to trust each other again.
Word Count: 2.5k
Warning: maybe a bad word or two and hints of a bad home life.
A/N: Before anyone comes at me, yes this is like a walk to remember but with my ideas and a different take on that. But it does have the aspect of two opposites attracting. I really hope you guys like it.
Carter Hart was the residential popular boy at Lakeview High. Everyone knew him and he tried to know everyone. Carter was big on meeting new people and starting conversations wherever he was. He wasn't popular for being rude, being the football captain, or dating the head cheerleader. Carter was actually popular for being nice. Yes he did have a spot on the football team but he didn't think he was better than anyone else and treated everyone the same.
Y/N was the residential shy girl. She kept to herself and her life motto was the less social interactions the better. Y/N didn't perceive to be rude she just didn't like to put her walls down for people that would just walk away. She felt as though keeping to herself was the best option. She did put her walls down for her best friend but he just walked away after they both went into highschool.
Carter and Y/N had their fair share of interactions throughout highschool. But during their entire childhood they were glued to the hip. Carter was the only person that had seen Y/N be herself yet when they went into highschool that all changed. Carter joined the football team saying that he would still have enough time for his best friend. But after the first week Y/N was by herself and Carter was mostly with his new friends that included football players and cheerleaders.
Carter tried talking to Y/N, ok maybe not having a full blown conversation but sending a simple hello her way. But every time he tried she would walk the other way. She didn't want to deal with him. If he had ignored her all of freshman year, she could ignore a simple hello. As she walked to her english class she took a seat towards the middle where she could blend in. There was about ten minutes before class started so she buried her head in a book to avoid conversation. What brought back her attention though was Carter walking in with his friends laughing loudly. Y/N looked up and they made eye contact for a second. She smiled at him shyly and put her book away as the teacher walked in.
Carter was failing english badly. If he didn't show up to class everyday he probably would've had a better grade than now. He needed to raise it up to play football or his spot would be given to someone else who had better grades. If he let it go down one bit more, then his whole football journey was over. Now he didn't want that and his teacher had talked to him about getting a tutor. Now Carter knew that getting a tutor probably meant that he would get stuck with some dude that only cared about homework. That is why he groaned at the idea but if it was supposed to help him so he was supposed to say yes right.
As class ended Carter headed up to the teachers desk as you packed up your stuff. You noticed that they were talking so you decided to pack up a bit quicker to leave and give them privacy. But as soon as you were gonna walk out the door your teacher called you.
“Y/N could you come here for a second please.” you put a smile on your face and headed back inside. “Mr. Hart here is in desperate need of an english tutor and I would like you to help him.” Those were the last words both of you guys wanted your teacher to say. Both of you interrupted them with banter.
“Why me, there're so many people in the class.” you said.
“Yeah i don't think that is gonna work out.” Carter said. It was like he was reading your mind.
“Well that's the only solution and there will be no further discussion exchange numbers and start as soon as possible.” your teacher said and pushed you out of their classroom. Little did Carter know that you never had the guts to erase his number.
“Here plug in your phone and i'll text you when i'm free.” Carter said, handing you his phone. Glad to know that he didnt save your phone number. You were kind of hurt but it didn't really matter right. It's not like you were going to call him.
“Look Y/N, i'm sorr--.” before he could end his sentence and go on giving an apology you stopped him because right now you didnt want Carter’s pity. “I'm just helping you pass, I'm not trying to reconcile.” you said as you headed to the last place you wanted to go, home.
Today was the day that you were going to have your first tutoring session with Carter. You weren't too thrilled to say the least. But anything to get you out of your house for a bit. It was after school and you headed to the library to wait for Carter. You sat down at the table and waited for Carter. You thought maybe he would arrive in twenty minutes but after forty minutes of waiting you were getting irritated. He didn't even have the audacity of sending you a text that he was gonna be late. After one hour of waiting you decided that he had wasted enough of your time and you decided to pack up. That's when Carter came rushing in.
“Oh gosh Y/N, i know i'm sorry for making you wait but Coach decided to have an emergency meeting, i'm so sorry. Im here now.” Carter said exasperated.
“You could've at least sent a text.” you suggested.
“Coach doesnt let us use our phones.” Carter said hopeful that maybe you would stay cause he really didn't want to mess this up on the first day. You decided that he seemed like he was being honest so you shrugged your backpack off and took out the textbooks. After the next two hours of him studying his butt off, you decided it was time to wrap it up.
“Same time tomorrow and don't be late.” you said walking out into the now dark sky.
The next day Carter asked you to meet him in a cafe. You weren't sure why but you decided that a nice warm drink didn't sound too bad. So you headed over there after school and set up everything. After everything was laid out you thought it was the perfect time to order a drink before Carter got there. You ordered your usual hot beverage and were about to pay when Carter came up from behind you and told the barista “Oh and one cappuccino, thanks” he said, handing her his card. “Thanks you didn't have to do that.” Y/N smiled shyly at Carter. Maybe tutoring him wasn't going to be too bad.
“No problem, now where did we leave off on yesterday?”Carter said, actually sounding like he was excited to learn. After both of you guys got your drinks, there was less studying involved and more talking. Carter started talking to you about football and you liked how his eyes lit up when he talked about the subject. About one hour of just talking you decided that it was time to get back to studying  before it got too late. Before leaving the cafe, Y/N pulled out her favorite book out of her backpack. “Here I thought you might enjoy this, it's one of my favorites.”
“Thanks, I'll let you know when I finish it. Carter said, grabbing the book from the girl and their hands slightly brushing.
A few days later you were in bed ready to go to sleep when your phone started ringing. You thought it was probably a unknown number so you let it ring, but after four rings and no signs of hanging up you decided to pick up.
“Hello” you said, sleepiness evident in your voice.
“Did I wake you up, sorry, I just wanted to let you know that I finished the book.” Carter's giddy voice was heard on the other side of the phone. His voice though had no sleep evident in it whatsoever.
“Look Carter, I don't want to sound rude but why couldn't you just wait till tomorrow to tell me, it's 12am?’ you asked him questionaly. The truth one he couldn't sleep all night, thinking about how finally things with you guys could be fixed. And he just wanted to hear your voice.
“It was a really good book and i had to tell you, i'll see you tomorrow then.” he said hanging up the phone knowing that it was a bad time to call you but glad that you picked up. He took it as a sign that maybe your friendship could be restored.
The next day you headed to school and stopped at your locker to drop some stuff off. When you were pulling stuff out of your backpack. Carter approached from behind you. “Heres your book back” Carter spoke up.
“Shit Carter, you scared me.” you said as your notebook fell to the ground.
“Sorry, just wondering if we were gonna meet up later.” Carter cluelessly asked.
“Well yeah, that's basically the agreement.” Y/N stated, kind of annoyed because he knew that they were supposed to meet mostly everyday due to the teachers orders.
She got to the cafe where she sat at the same table as last time. As she waited for Carter she took everything out . The bell above the door rang signaling the arrival of someone, and it was Carter. They exchanged their hellos and got to tutoring. After what seemed like forever of studying, Carter decided to bring up a question that seemed to be bothering him all day. “So do you have a problem tutoring me or what, cause let me just say i'm not the biggest fan of this either.”
“What do you think Carter, that I think this is a fun way to spend my time, tutoring you.” giving the word you a deeper meaning. Carter was confused on what she meant.
“You really don't remember, you pretended I didn't exist.” the girl said, feeling more vulnerable than ever.
“ You are the one who's always mad at me, you stopped talking to me, freshman year.” Carter told her, saying it in a way saying it was her fault.
"Really, on the first day of school you didn't see me down the hallway and then turn the other way.”  Y/N said pleadingly. At this point it seemed that they were competing seeing who could say it in the most hurtful way possible.
“I didn't know what to say.” Carter said looking down.
“ How about hey Y/N, how's it going?” she said spitting it out a bit more harshly than she meant to. She couldn't take this right now, so she packed up her bag and headed out the door. Carter didn't really process what was going on until the ding  above the door signaled that she really had left.
When you got home you heard the sound of yelling, crying, and the shattering of glass. You decided that the best option right now was just to lock yourself in your room and with your thoughts. You went to sleep listening to music and the next day you got ready for school.
As you were at your locker Carter appeared again. He saw the way that you looked tired and drained and even though you weren't on the best terms decided to ask you how you felt. “Hey, you ok?” he asked concerned.
“No offense but I really don't want to talk about my personal life with my ex best friend.” you looked at him and shrugged your shoulders. Carter understood so he wasn't mad about it.
“No tutoring today right? I'll see you in a couple days then.” he said waving goodbye. Even though you didn't really appreciate tutoring Carter you didn't really want to go home so you were kind of bummed out that there wasn't tutoring today.
Two days later there you were at the same table with the same stuff laid out in front of you. Again waiting for Carter. He walked in and took a seat. “Before we start I just wanted to make sure that you're ok.” he said, looking concerned.
A slight blush appeared on your cheeks because even though he asked you the same question two days ago he was still concerned. “Like I said before, I don't really want to talk to my ex best friend about this.”
“Well then don't think about me as your ex best friend, think about me as your therapist.” you laughed but when he didn't laugh back you knew that he was serious. “Oh you're being serious.
“Yeah I am, now tell me what's wrong.” he said, getting all serious but it didn't last long because both of you burst out laughing. You liked this, just being able to laugh with him again. Like everything was back to normal. But everything wasn’t back to normal and it probably wouldn't but in the end you were having a good time.
After that day you tutoring Carter had become less of a task and more of something that you enjoyed. It had become less stressful and you actually felt like you guys had a good chance of repairing your friendship. Maybe even having the possibility of bringing it back to how it was before. Now that's the way you felt, but you weren't sure how Carter felt. Maybe for him this was just tutoring.
Now Carter saw that maybe he was slowly breaking down your walls again. He was slowly seeing the person you were in middle school again. He liked that. But he thought that maybe you just thought that this was something you felt obligated to do and nothing else.
The next day at school Carter was talking to his friends against their lockers. You were walking towards your locker when you heard the topic of conversation. Now you weren't trying to be all up in their business and invade their privacy but it seemed like they were talking about you.
“Oh look it's your little girlfriend, you're not gonna say hi.” one of the cheerleaders said in a snarky voice. All his “friends”  around him laughed at the girl's comment.
Carter thought that maybe if he went along with it, they would stop. “She isn't my type anyways, you know that all she is to me is my tutor so I can pass English and still be on the football team.”
After Carter said that you knew that you should've said no to tutoring him and just told the teacher that you were too busy. “Im so stupid, i should’ve let him fail so he could see what its like to lose something just how I lost my best friend” you told youself as you wiped a tear with your sweater sleeve.
Well now you could tell that it seemed Carter didn't feel the same about your friendship finally getting a bit better or becoming reconciled. But deep down Carter knew that everytime he saw you his face would light up and that he was slowly falling hard for you. Yet he couldn't let his friends know because he knew that if they did find out they would just tease you and he didn't want that because you didn't deserve it.

Treat you right, H.Hj
Tumblr media
Warnings:
Smut. Fluff.Angst. I dont usually write angst.
Tumblr media
‘Then just fucking leave!’
The words left your boyfriends lips,
He was drunk, and he was enjoying himself. The dull hum of the random party song did little to cover the sudden outburst of pure anger. You had said to him that you wanted to leave, that you didnt feel good anymore- especially when he was so close to this girl, and that girl. He failed to see the way your confidence shrunk every time someone would come up to you and say, ‘isnt that your boyfriend?’
You should have known, from when you started dating it was like a marathon you had never trained for, like a pole vault with a broken pole- like a-
Forget it, it was broken, it wasnt working. It never did. No metaphorical saying could make it sound sweet enough- worth the pain. Because it wasnt.
While it wasnt easy to admit it, you needed him.
Well, you thought you needed him.
As everyone watched on in horror , you turned around and walked away, as your supposed boyfriend glared at you, arm slung around another girls waist, the aftershock of the volume of his voice causing the party to come to an almost complete stop, people parting to let you through.
You had gotten about halfway down the street before you heard the slam of a door and footsteps, quickly barrelling toward you.
‘Y/n-! Wait’ you stopped. Only because it wasnt him. You didnt even know he was at this party.
Hwang Hyunjin had been your best friend since middle school, he grew up beside you as you both bonded over dance and fashion. His dog practically half lived at your house, and he never failed to make you smile.
But now it was different.
You had hurt him.
‘Hey-hey-‘ his voice was soft as he pulled you into him, pressing your face into his chest as you inhaled all that was the perfect man.
When Hyunjin entered highschool, you expected him to ditch you. He was picture perfect, and a decent guy, popular and sporty. You expected the worst.
But to your surprise, he was by your side the entire time. He became everything you adored, everything that made you smile, you were eachothers first kisses- hyped up on adrenaline and horror movie spirit, wandering hands and shy trust.
He never left your side, however, he did have a crush, and that was not you.
You were quick to say yes to any guy who asked you out, desperately trying to show that you were fine, that you were going to be fine.
Hyunjin dated here and there, but he never dated the girl he said was the one. He always talked of her, but always ended up with someone else.
While he became a probably the kindest and sweetest playboy anyone would ever meet, you fell for the opposite.
He used you, dumped you and got back together with you, for almost a year on and off.
You also did the exact thing you thought Hyunjin would do.
You ditched him. You avoided him.
While your boyfriend was an asshole, he was extremely fragile in his masculinity. While he told you when you were alone that you meant nothing, in public, hed boast about practically owning you.
He told you to stay away from Hwang Hyunjin.
So you did.
While you had to admit you had some of the best times, you were mentally a mess.
You lost trust in everyone, even your best friend.
Y/n?
Y/n?
‘Y/n? Baby?’
You snapped out of your thoughts, sound and sight coming back as you realise where you stand was the same as where you zoned out, your head still against Hyunjins chest .
He seemed to be freaking out, probably because of your spacing out.
‘Yeah?’ You said still spaced out.
His breathing calmed and his arms tightened around you. You could tell his mind was racing.
‘Lets get you home’
He didnt take you back to your place, he took you to his. Everything felt like it was in slow motion as he let you inside, you knew his place like the back of your hand, but you felt lost.
You felt so guilty, so sad. He was still here for you even after you chose an asshole over his company.
It wasnt until you were sitting on the corner of his bed, did you see his face properly.
A split lip, and what looks to be a forming black eye.
‘Jinnie-‘ the nickname slips out and you almost curse yourself at how fast you get up to check on him.
He stares down at you as your hand reaches up to touch his face, his check nuzzling into the palm of your hand as he closes his eyes, inhaling softly.
‘I broke his nose’ is all he said, before pushing you back, until your knees hit the bed.
Your back hit the sheets, your hair flying out around you as he leant over you. ‘You avoided me’ he whispered, arms now holding himself up over you, your breath hitching as he stared into your eyes.
‘For almost a year you avoided me, y/n.’
You felt horrible. You hated what you did.
‘But I know you didnt want to.’
Your eyes widened slightly as you waited for him to continue.
‘Ive seen your looks, the way your eyes find mine across the room, the way whenever you were with him, youd look for me.’
‘I missed you so much’
He practically whined, his weight pressing down onto you.
While you shared all those firsts in highschool, now it was different, you were both fully grown and able to comprehend your emotions, and while you were broken, you longed for him.
‘I missed you too- im so, so sorry Jinnie’
The tears fell before you realised, and Hyunjin couldnt help but smile softly as he brushed them away.
‘Youre here now. And so am I. Im not letting you go again.’
‘Hyunjin what do you-‘ he couldnt mean it, why do you feel like a little girl beneath him, why does it feel like hes confessing.
‘Shutup. Just shh, we both love eachother, y/n. Ive always loved you, okay? So let me have this okay?’
All you could do was nod, letting the man above you crumble, heart beating in a mess as his lips pressed against yours.
—-
The rolling of his hips was torturous, he was so, so deep, you couldnt form any word other than his name.
‘Years- fuck, we could have been doing this for years-‘ he groaned, his hands holding yours in a soft grasp beside your head as he continued making love to you.
—-
Your clothed makeout session previous to this was a mess of passion, hands touching- renewing closeness, it almost felt like nothing had changed.
You felt him, hard, against your thigh and you couldnt help but whine, softly into his ear.
He smiled, ‘if we do this, just know I am still taking you out tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.’
‘Ill-‘ he started again, his babbling adorable, exactly how you remembered him.
‘I know, Jinnie. Youll treat me right.’
‘Youre damn right’
—-
This is shitty, im so sorry. Life is hectic right now.

Carry Me Away With You: SnowBaz Fanfic
Simon Snow doesn't expect much from life. His father has drilled into him from the beginning two things: work alone and never trust vampires. Simon breaks both rules in a matter of days. After he collapses at the doorstop of an unknown house, he's pulled into a world he has no idea how to escape from. The question is: does he want to?
...
AH! This is my Carry On Big Bang 2020 fic. I'm so excited to have finally posted it. It also comes with AMAZING artwork by the extremely talented @thehoneyedhufflepuff on tumblr (who's also a fantastic writer on Ao3 with the @ The_Honeyed_Hufflepuff - I'd definitely recommend the Fire-verse fics). Please, please, PLEASE show them some love both on here and tumblr. The artwork is magnificent and exactly as I envisioned Simon and Baz in this time period. (scene from fic) (title scene-isn't is beautiful?!)
Here’s the link to the tumblr post!
Thank you @carry-on-big-bang for giving me the opportunity to work with such an amazing artist and fellow fic writer and for putting on such a wonderful collaboration project. I have truly enjoyed every interaction I had with @thehoneyedhufflepuff and encourage everyone reading this to go give them a follow and read their amazing work on Ao3.
As always, here’s the link to the Ao3 version in case you prefer to read that way: https://archiveofourown.org/works/26150491/chapters/63625177
On to the fic!
Lover.
The word felt foreign on Simon’s tongue, like a heavy alcohol or a long-rusted coin that played on the tip of the tongue. There was nothing else, though. ‘Fling’ felt like a small blanket: it covered the important parts (the lovemaking, the flirtatious smiles, the sharing of a bed), but it also left out the parts that made Simon’s legs turn to jelly (the deep conversations, the sweet cheek kisses, the touches that lingered for hours afterwards).
Partner, however, did not fit either. Partner implied official courting, and this…was not that. Official courting entailed walks in the park with a supervisor, love letters sent in perfumed envelopes, and an eventual proposal of marriage.
It did not entail laying bed together with only centimeters of space between, breaths mingled in the shared space. It certainly did not entail what had occurred a mere half-hour before now. ‘Partners’ did not entail premarital relations, and those relations certainly did not occur between a supernatural creature of nightmares and a boy raised to kill such creatures.
Simon placed his hand tentatively on the side of Baz’s face. His eyes were closed, but Simon knew better; sharing a bed for the past month had taught him when Baz was truly gone to the world. The pounding pulse point and flickering of eyes gave the vampire away. He was resting, but not out.
“Darling,” Baz drawled, and it made Simon flush (not that he wasn’t already red from head-to-toe; Baz had that effect on him). Baz’s eyes cracked open, and he flashed a smile that forced Simon to see what made vampires so alluring to the regular eye. “Darling, do you have any idea what time it is?”
A laugh bubbled out of Simon’s chest, and he looked past Baz’s head to stare at the grandfather clock that stood ominously in the corner of the room. It was one of Simon’s favorite objects: dark blue, a sun and moon facing opposite each other, stars sliding past as did the hours of the day. Baz had bought it for him a mere three months ago, placing it in their shared chambers so Simon knew the time.
Baz was weird like in the sense that there were no clocks beside this in the manor. Time is cyclical, he had explained to Simon once. He hated it because it reminded him that of what he was: stuck moving forward in his mind while his body remained in the past. Simon progressed forward, though, and he had been adamant about having at least one way of telling time. He’d even withheld himself from Baz until the vampire had conceded, a glare on his face the entire time.
Simon often stared at that clock as they made love.
The clock read slightly past two in the morning, and Simon told Baz as such. Baz hummed in response and placed his hand on Simon’s neck, thumbing a mole that rested above his pulse point. Often, that mole would have a ring of purpled bruises around it after nights like this, and the very thought had Simon suppressing a smile. Baz, however, did not conceal his affection, and he placed a long, slow kiss to Simon’s lips.
Simon had long ago (give or take three months) begun to categorize the kisses they shared. The most common were the ones shared in private that would have the public outraged: brushes of lips against cheeks and foreheads even though they were not married. What a scandal, Simon thought distantly. Those kisses occurred in passing when one of them would be running to the study or just about to leave the house for some reason or another. Simon adored these brushes of affection that had no real bite; it meant whatever this thing that was happening was more than sex.
Simon ached for the bruising crush of lips that occurred when they fell into bed. He yearned for the swelling of lips and clashing of teeth and maybe the accidental cut of a fang-on-lip. Even the tiniest bit of venom would set his body aflame, and Simon likened it to the fever, only where Death had touched him before, Baz now did.
The ones Simon treasured above all others were these kisses: no heat, no bite, but also not something entirely platonic. A feather-light kiss on the cheek could be taken romantically if it were between a man and a woman, but Simon knew that, if ever caught, Baz would claim brotherly affection for Simon, explain that that’s how his Parisian family acted, that physical affection was common between two friends. These kisses, on the other hand, would have them thrown in jail. Simon would be forced to flee over the crime of homosexuality, and Baz would pay his way out of a scandal.
There was no denying that these kisses that occurred in this bed were of the utmost romantic quality and kind and would put many husbands and wives to shame.
Baz drew back and smiled, his eyes still pleasantly closed. He sighed through his nose, and Simon allowed himself to steal a glance. This was so new, and he was afraid that one wrong look would shatter the beautiful bubble he’d surrounded himself in. Baz had probably done this with many people before. He was…older. That’s all Simon knew. There was no discernable year or century to pin him down in, but Simon realized months ago that Baz had seen the sun rise on this Earth possibly over one-hundred-thousand times.
Baz had probably been in love before. The thought made Simon blue. Baz was his first everything; Simon was Baz’s first nothing.
It is probably love, Simon thought as Baz slowly peeled his eyes opened. There was no explanation other than a spell of sorts (not like a witch’s spell, but like a spell of sickness) that Baz’s vampiric charm had placed Simon under. His father used to warn him that vampires were excellent charmers and that the only way to save oneself from their grasp was to remain alert at all times.
Simon’s father would be rolling in his premature grave right about now.
The sheets shifted between Simon’s legs as he pressed closer to the lukewarm body across from him. Baz never ran hot; his skin was usually cold to the touch. Nights like these, however, coerced the little blood in Baz’s body to rise to the surface, turn him a color like the living, and make him vampirically burn up (though vampirically burning up meant room temperature for humans).
Baz pressed his lips into the mop of curls atop Simon’s head and breathed in deeply. His arms came to wrap around Simon’s back, and his hands splayed across Simon’s shoulder blades. He said something, though it was muffled by Simon’s hair.
“Hm?” Simon asked, turning his face upward to look directly at Baz. He pushed the raven hair out of Baz’s eyes. “What did you say?”
Baz subconsciously turned his cheek into Simon’s touch, and Simon bit at his lip to keep in a smile. “I said,” Baz murmured, turning back to Simon, “that we are spending Christmas in the Surrey House this year. I forgot to tell you this morning.”
Simon giggled at that, and Baz lightly slapped his side. Of course Baz had forgotten to say that this morning; other…happenings had occurred. Simon had also giggled because calling it the Surrey House put the building to shame. In Dorking, the manor (as it should be called) sat on acres of sprawling land that included part of a natural river, a small section of local woods, and a large field. Baz’s family’s business was still a mystery to Simon, but he at least knew how Baz made his money. Wine was apparently very expensive in large quantities, and the cellar of the manor could hold the worth of an entire village.
The manor itself was no laughing matter. Crafted with the finest cobblestone, it had stayed in Baz’s family for centuries, and even with what little Simon actually knew of Baz’s family, the amount of rooms in all the property Baz inherited gave away enough to know that many children had been born. Because Baz was the eldest (cue laughter) and had lived the longest (cue even more laughter), all the property had been passed to him.
And now Simon reveled in it. The large London townhouse they occupied for the majority of the year was Simon’s favorite. The memories here were richer than any fine chocolate or wine that Baz could procure.
“Why can’t we spend Christmas here?” Simon asked quietly, his fingers idly playing with the long strands of Baz’s hair. “We’ve never just stayed-“ Simon stopped himself prematurely. He wanted to say ‘home’ but couldn’t let that word slip from his mouth. He’d stayed with Baz in this house for almost three years, and he’d never left to live elsewhere, but the word ‘home’ insinuated something Simon would not admit to himself. He started again: “We’ve never had Christmas here.”
Goosepimples raised on his arms as Baz’s hands drew nonsensical lines across his back. Baz lowered his head down, and his lips were pressed against Simon’s forehead as he explained, “We’ve never done a lot of things, darling.” The pet name caused Simon to blush and stutter, and he could feel Baz’s smile against forehead. “We always spent Christmases in our other properties when I was little.”
Simon thought about that for a moment. He did not have very memorable Christmases growing up. His greatest gift as a child had been a stocking with three ripe oranges in it. Simon had known the money his father had sacrificed to buy such fruit. With Baz, however…he’d never had such wonderful gifts in his entire life, and they hadn’t even been given to him for celebrations.
Simon recalled one morning where he’d complained of his weathering shoes, and not even four hours later, Baz had presented him with the nicest pair of leather boots he’d ever seen. Sure, they were not to be worn in public (Simon had received an entire outfit from Baz’s…sister? ...for going out in), but they were gorgeous and, no doubt, expensive.
Then there was the jewelry - the gorgeous amethyst ring that sat on the bedside table had been a birthday present last year. In truth, Simon had not expected anything from Baz in any capacity when they’d decided he could stay in the house for an indefinite amount of time. He’d not expected that, in the middle of the hottest summer in a long time, Baz would nonchalantly pass him the most expensive thing Simon had ever set eyes on and insist he keep it. He’d not expected Baz to tell him it was an heirloom dating back at least one-hundred years, and he’d not expected to later cradle it to his chest and cry.
As if to add to their conversation about Christmas, Simon looked over towards the window and saw snow falling outside. The snow had been coming down steadily over the last few months, but it had only begun to stick recently. He smiled to himself as he watched the windowsill become more and more covered. Snow had brought him here in the first place; it was only natural he be thankful for it now.
  …
He was almost dead; that Simon Snow was sure of.
He could not feel his toes, and the crystalline breath puffing out from his mouth was becoming smaller by the minute. He was dizzy, hungry, and more tired than he’d even been in his short life. A cut on his forehead trickled blood into the snow beneath his feet, and he barely had time to register why or where he was bleeding before he fell onto the pavement beneath him.
Thank Christ he was in an alleyway. Had he been in the street, feet would have stepped over and onto him, and he might crack a rib. Although, Simon thought to himself, this was a fate worse than death. Perhaps he should let the Lord have Their way with him. If this was to be his death, then why not welcome it?
Simon could not go home. His father would never accept a defeat like this. Simon could practically hear the frustration that would be present if he tried to make his way back to their little house on the outskirts of town. How was it that Simon had been out hunting vampires for three months and not caught a single one? How was it that Simon had left a strong, capable, young man with fervor in his eyes and returned a skeleton of his former self?
The truth was simple: Simon was very nearly dead. He knew he’d caught the scarlet fever, and Simon also knew it would kill him like it had killed thousands of other.
Simon dragged himself to his feet and rounded out of the alleyway, turning onto a dimly lit street lined with houses. This is not such a bad place to die, he thought to himself. Maybe no one would pilfer his body for the money that did not exist or the jewelry that was absent. Perhaps he’d retain some dignity in his death.
Simon stumbled barely two meters in front of himself before he fell down against the door of a nice house. He could feel the warmth through the door. It was almost sad to die on such a lovely doorstep. Telling by the clickity-clack of footsteps from behind the door, he’d probably disturbed the lady of the house. Somehow, Simon could not find it in himself to care as he slid into what must be death.
But it was not death. Indeed, Simon had lapsed into a comatose state, but he awoke to the sounds of a plate clattering onto a table. The room was warm, and when Simon tried to move his hands, he found himself between a lovely down comforter and an even lovelier mattress. A fire burned brightly in the corner of the room, and he watched as a silhouette of a man moved in front of the flame.
“Am I dead?” Simon asked, his voice hardly above a whisper.
The man laughed, and he sat down beside the bed. His face came into view, and Simon saw the most beautiful person God had ever created. Then the beautiful man brought a cool washcloth down on Simon’s forehead, and Simon then realized how much he was burning up.
“Lord above, no,” the man answered. His touch was gentle across Simon’s aching head, and he placed the towel down a moment later to instead bring a glass of water to Simon’s lips. Simon arched into it, and a pained noise escaped his lips as the water slid down his throat. When was the last time he’d had water? Did brown snow count?
After the glass was drained, Simon began to take in his surroundings. The room looked to be one of a rich man: the walls were lined in beautiful wallpaper, plush rugs were laid down across the wood floor, and the size of the room was larger than the house Simon had grown up in. The man wore a waistcoat with a gold pocket watch, and his hair was swept back neatly from his face, though a piece was falling into his eyes. Could Simon even call him a man? Upon further inspection, he could not be older than his mid-twenties, and even that was a stretch. There were no wrinkles or stress lines, and his eyes held a kind light.
“Are we,” Simon started, his voice cracking on the second word. A second glass of cold water was placed to his lips, and Simon began again. “Are we sure I am not dead?”
The man smiled. “Who are you?” he asked, brushing back matted curls from Simon’s head. Simon internally hoped he did not look too worse for wear. “How did you come to be on the streets?” the man continued.
Simon did not know how to answer that. His name would be a good place to start, though he wouldn’t give his full name. “I am Simon.”
  …
The packing for the Surrey manor proved to be more difficult for Simon than he’d originally anticipated. They’d be gone for the second half of December and a little into January, and the capacity of Simon’s suitcase was being tested to the highest degree because of his coats (courtesy of Baz’s…sister?). Baz had not said to pack lightly, but Simon didn’t like the idea of bogging down the carriage with an extra suitcase. Plus, Baz had already sent ahead a few trunks of clothes and other things to the manor earlier in the week.
Speaking of the devil, Simon nearly leapt out of his skin as cool arms surrounded his middle. Of course, there was no need to be frightened. Simon had long since been used to both the temperature of Baz’s skin and Baz’s ability to be deathly silent.
Baz’s chapped lips brushed against the nape of Simon’s neck, and he pressed a chaste kiss there. “Packing?” he asked, as though he did not see the myriad of clothing strewn about the room. The wardrobe was open haphazardly, revealing Simon’s messy side. He never put away his clothes with care like Baz did. They were clothes. Why did they deserve such high care?
Simon placed his arms over Baz’s and leaned into the embrace, closing his eyes and resting his head atop Baz’s shoulder. The fact that Baz was a behemoth had once bothered Simon, but now it made lounging together easier. Simon could always fit his head neatly onto Baz’s shoulder, and Baz’s hands fit perfectly in the dip of Simon’s lower back.
“Unsuccessfully,” Simon replied, sighing through his nose. “If we were not going for so long, I would not require so much clothing.” Baz chuckled behind him, and Simon smiled to the ceiling. He ran his hands idly over Baz’s exposed forearms. Today, Baz had stayed inside the house and, therefore, had not changed into any outerwear or even bothered to keep his long sleeves down to his wrists. Truly, it was a state of undress Simon had never expected of the wine merchant to be capable of. Simon had expected the ‘young’ business tycoon to always be dressed in a matching frock and waistcoat and buttoned up to the nines, but formalities had long since disappeared between them.
“Is there also business to attend to in Surrey?” Simon wondered aloud, pulling himself away from Baz and turning in his embrace. When they were this close, Simon had to tip his head up to look Baz in the eye. Baz nodded, and Simon sighed. Work plagued the both of them.
“Not on Christmas,” Baz reassured, bringing up a hand to tip Simon’s chin up. “Not in the whole week before or after Christmas. I cleared all of it for us.”
Us. The word made Simon swallow thickly. He nodded, walking away from the warmth of Baz’s hold (that he got from Simon’s body heat) and rummaging through the wardrobe. Simon heard Baz sigh, and after a few moments of silence, he assumed Baz had left. However, a whisper only a hair’s width away surprised him.
“Pack what I brought you from France,” Baz whispered, pressing another chaste kiss to that mole on Simon’s neck. Then he was gone.
A furious blush ravaged Simon’s cheeks, and he needed a few moments to steady himself. France. Baz’s purchase in France. That trip alone turned Simon’s internal temperature up a few notches. It seemed like ages ago, but it had really only been two months since France. The French had strange ideas of erotica, and Baz had seemed to be in line with all of them. Pack what I bought you from France. Christ, Simon hadn’t looked at it since France for a reason. It embarrassed him, and the fact that he liked that embarrassment made him even redder.
Simon opened a small (locked) drawer on his side of the wardrobe meant for expensive jewelry and priceless cufflinks and pins, and he pulled out what Baz had bought him in France.
  …
The paperwork piled nearly a meter high from the floor. Baz entrusted the various receipts, warehouse reports, and paperwork tracking of the wine to Simon. Officially, Simon was brought into Baz’s household to deal with the paperwork that accumulated at the end of each month. Unofficially, Simon had been brought into the house to die.
Simon admitted to himself that this was a much better outcome. When he’d fallen against the door five months ago, who could have known he’d end up with a well-paying job? So well-paying, in fact, that Simon was able to send lumpsums of money back to his father under the pretense that it was payment for hired slayings. His father was none the wiser as to the actual situation of Simon’s employment.
As Simon crossed some ‘t’s and dotted some ‘i’s, his thoughts ran to Baz. They had been doing that more often as of late, and while Simon had once been able to pin it down on acquainting himself with his employer (friend), he could no longer fall under that umbrella. The thoughts (once just about the upkeep of Baz’s hair and the price of his clothing) now turned to running his hands through that hair and peeling away that expensive clothing until it lay on the floor beneath them.
Simon cleared his throat and refocused on the task ahead. He’d lost track of a sentence concerning a shipment of sherry to a port in Boston. As Simon read about a spilled barrel, a hand on his shoulder jolted him from his thoughts.
Baz’s chuckle reassured Simon, and he looked up from the candlelit paperwork ahead of him. The stack on the floor had to be completed and filed within the week. An entire day of Simon sitting at the desk had already elapsed, and he could guess why Baz had entered this small study that had been given to him.
“Have I missed supper?” Simon asked, looking back at the death certificate of the sherry. Baz’s hand lingered a moment longer before falling away, and Simon missed the cool touch through his thin shirt.
Baz came to lean over him and stare at the document in front of Simon. “No,” he replied, his breath ghosting over the shell of Simon’s ear. Simon’s eyes flicked to the side, and he was met with a Baz deep in thought. “I’ll have to speak to my Boston warehouse manager. Sherry is too expensive to be wasted.” Baz turned to look at Simon, and the close proximity of their lips had Simon’s face heating up. Hopefully the candlelight covered the flush of Simon’s neck and face.
Simon turned away and pulled a separate document out, and responded, “You were compensated with the price of a barrel and a half for the ruined barrel.” He pointed to the line in question where the price was brought up, and Baz hummed noncommittedly in his ear.
Very suddenly Baz was standing behind Simon, and Simon floundered to turn in his chair and face him. Baz was still deep in thought, though Simon couldn’t imagine why. Sherry was not Baz’s largest exports if the receipts were to be believed, and even if it was, why would it give him such a headache? A single barrel in six months was nothing compared to what some other merchants lost in a single day.
“Something on your mind?” Simon asked. Baz’s eyes slowly ghosted over to Simon, and Simon had the distinct feeling of being seen but in a distant sort. Like Baz had recognized a version of Simon that existed before and was instead remembering that Simon.
After a moment of silence, Baz regained composure and smiled. His canines flickered in the light, and Simon fought the urge to cover his neck. Of course, there was no reason for alarm. Growing up with his father, however, left some stones Simon was willing to leave unturned, at least where it concerned Baz.
Who was not a creature of evil.
“We should eat,” Baz suggested, looking towards the door of the study. “It should be about time.” As if on cue, the bell signaling supper rang, and Baz smiled again. “Join me?” he asked, as though Simon could deny.
Simon had picked up on the habits of his employer (friend) in the first few weeks of living together, but they seemed to become stranger as time went on. Baz hardly ate, and when he did, it was only a few bites. Most of his diet (in front of Simon, at least) consisted of wines and cheeses. No substantial food ever made its way into Baz in front of Simon. That was not to say that Baz could not eat sometimes later when Simon was not around, but it made no sense to Simon that Baz would invite him to eat in the dining room only to actually eat later.
 Unless…
Simon shook the thought from his head, and it was soon replaced with images of a rather biblical sense.
  …
The Surrey manor was alive and bustling when they arrived. The snow had nearly postponed the trip, but it had let up in time for the carriage to safely carry Baz and Simon to the manor. The Surrey manor had more servants than their normal lodgings did, and when Simon had first asked why years ago, Baz had not answered.
Simon partially knew why now. The part he knew was that Baz kept his more expensive wines in the cellars beneath the manor. That answer used to satisfy Simon, but now it caused him to wonder more and more. They had promised honesty once after Baz’s nature had been revealed. The promise had been broken only once, and it had been by Simon, so he didn’t have a right to question Baz’s extra patrolling of this particular property.
The trunks were carried to the room by two men Simon had met briefly last year at the manor, and then Baz was swept away into work. Tonight, a key investor was scheduled to dine with Baz, and while Baz hadn’t directly said it, Simon was to remain scarce throughout the night. At least he’d brought a few packets of paperwork that needed doing.
The room he’d previously occupied here was locked, and a servant instead directed Simon to a room he knew Baz had occupied the last time they were here. The bed, while not as comfortable as the one back in London, welcomed Simon comfortably, and he laid down to rest for a few moments. As it often happened when Simon was left alone with his thoughts, they turned to Baz. The investor coming over tonight both invested in and bought the most wine from Baz. That was the only reason Simon had to be scarce tonight. Usually, Baz showboated him until Simon’s feet grew tired, but with the higherups, a previous street boy who did the paperwork usually set them on edge. How could they trust their money with a boy of no more than twenty-one who only knew basic economics and had not studied traditionally a day in his life?
A soft knock at the door had Simon sitting up, and a servant walked in carrying a tray of supper. Simon then noticed the lighting had changed significantly and realized he had fallen asleep while thinking about wine investors. He thanked the servant and ate in silence, staring around the room. An ornate, golden clock stood in the corner, and Simon laughed quietly. A floor length mirror occupied another corner, and a dark wood wardrobe already filled with their clothing sat against the wall. Overall, it was a plain room in comparison to their normal lodgings, but Simon felt the hints of Baz in the room. The comforter was a deep, wine red, and the bedframe was made of cherry wood. Ornate carvings decorated the tops of the posters of the bed.
The Surrey manor deserved to be a real home, Simon thought. He and Baz used it for maybe a month out of an entire year, and it sat empty for the rest of the time. About every two weeks, Baz would send a few servants to tidy the place, but other than that, these two weeks were the longest anyone lived here. Simon had to wonder if this had once been Baz’s childhood home. It was simply too large and too grand for it to be a getaway or a vacation home. The location was optimal, the plot of land was supreme, and the aura exuded warmth. This had to have been something to Baz. Otherwise, he’d have sold the property long before Simon came into the picture.
A servant came to collect his plates, and Simon was once again left in silence. The bustle of London - people shouting, carts rolling by, factories churning - usually lulled Simon and comforted his always anxious mind. Now, there was only the occasional laugh from downstairs and the chirping of a bird here and there. The silence chilled him to the bone.
Simon set to work on the stack of papers before him, deciding that the scratching of pen on paper would soothe his weary soul. The monotonous chore that was paperwork left Simon feeling purposeful. If Baz trusted him enough with finances, then he would do a damn good job at it. Of course, this was a far cry from what his father would have wanted.
Simon’s mind often turned to his father these days. If Simon remembered the date correctly, his father’s birthday had just passed. They’d never celebrated when Simon lived with him; there was too much training and prepping to be done. At the end of the night, maybe his father would allow Simon to have a sip of port, but that had happened perhaps three times over the years. Celebrations just were not important when there were vampires to hunt and kill. His father had instilled the idea that vampires were virgin defilers into Simon’s mind, and while true for the situation between Baz and himself, Simon had come to realize that most vampires simply wanted to be left alone.
His vampire just so happened to want the opposite of that. A hand at the back of his neck caused Simon to nearly spill his inkpot, and perhaps doing paperwork on the bed was stupid. Baz laughed as Simon carefully closed the inkpot, placed the wet paperwork on the bedside table, did away with the pen, and finally looked up.
Baz’s tense face seemed alight when he looked down at Simon, and Simon smiled as he rose up on his knees. The mattress only added to their already obvious height difference. Simon came to rest at Baz’s shoulders, his knees sinking into the duvet. He did not mind, however, as it was the perfect height for him to place his hands atop Baz’s shoulders and rub. The muscles there seemed knotted with stress, and Simon sighed.
“Are you ever not wound up like a clock?” Simon asked, dragging Baz onto the mattress. As tonight’s outfit included a three-piece suit, the act of stripping Baz took longer than Simon would have liked. Finally, pale skin exposed itself, and Simon kept his shudder at the sight of Baz’s back to himself. They had spoken of it once before: the scars had been from a brutal whipping exactly once in his childhood, but his vampire skin had not healed properly because of what he was whipped with. Now, scars littered the expanse of his broad shoulders, and Simon pressed chaste kisses to each. It was routine now.
“You know how I hate clocks,” Baz replied. Simon laughed and pressed one last kiss to Baz’s back, lingering for only a few extra seconds. Luckily, someone had placed oil in the bedside table, and Simon slowly warmed it between his hands as he sat on Baz’s thighs. At the first press of Simon’s hands into Baz’s lower back, Baz let out a groan loud enough to shake the house.
“How was supper?” Simon asked, working a knot in the lower of Baz’s back until it loosened. This was his absolute favorite (non-sexual) thing to do to Baz. It was another way of being useful, and Simon prided himself on the fact that only he could provide this relief to Baz.
“Long,” Baz replied, groaning again at the pressure of Simon’s palms. “He wanted to withdraw his investment because of that fucking barrel of sherry.” Simon dug the heel of his palm into the middle of Baz’s back, and the crack that sounded through the room caused Baz to let out an orgasmic sound. “Fuck, I love it when you do that.”
Simon’s face flushed, and he coughed as he continued rubbing circles into Baz’s back. The silence did not stretch on uncomfortably, but there was something in the air neither of them were able to address. “So, he wanted to leave because one of my fucking stupid warehouse managers dropped a barrel. I told him about the price for breaking a contract, and he still seemed to want to leave. Thank God for whiskey, because I think that’s what got him to stay.”
As Simon lazily rubbed the excess oil into Baz’s skin, he found himself listening to Baz’s sherry problems and not even being bothered by how boring they were. He logically knew that if someone else was telling him about the trials and tribulations of shipping sherry, he’d fall asleep, and the realization made his stomach lurch. He knew what this was, and Baz knew, too. When would one of them say it, though?
  …
They had fought before. Once, Simon had forgotten to do a few pieces of paperwork that nearly cost Baz a key investor, and they had dished it out for a good half-hour before both going out for some time to decompress. Simon apologized, and Baz did, too. Simon had been tired during that round of paperwork; Baz had been stressed all day before finding out about Simon’s mistake.
But this was different. This wasn’t about paperwork or investors or wine. This was about Simon and Baz. This was about feelings, and Simon sucked at feelings. He’d inherited it from his father. Being raised to be a vampire slayer could do that.
This was also, coincidentally, about vampires.
“You lied to me!” Simon shouted, hastily packing his belongings into a trunk. Granted, there were not many things to be gathered. It was more for show than anything else. “I’ve lived with you for nearly two years, and you’ve lied to me the entire time!”
Baz stood in front of the fireplace, jaw clenched and hands balled into fists. He was strangely composed for such an explosive conversation. Simon wanted to throw something at him, punch him, make him respond, make him yell. It wasn’t fair that he was the only person angry. This wasn’t going to be a one-sided argument.
“Do you have anything to say to me?” Simon demanded, finally stopping his movements and just…standing there. His shoulders slumped. There were tears in his eyes.
Baz turned slowly on his heels. Finally, Simon saw his face. It gave away nothing; Baz was always stoic during moments of high tensions. When Simon had nearly died those first few weeks, Baz’s face had remained a blank sheet. When his…sister? ...had died in childbirth and the letter had been delivered, Baz had said nothing and simply locked himself away. Now, though, there was no room to separate the two of them. There was no veil of death that cleaved them apart. There was only three meters of wooden floor and carpet.
Baz closed his eyes, and Simon watched as a few tears slipped down his cheeks. “You lied to me, too, Simon,” Baz finally murmured. The orange light of the fire made him look like a statue on fire. His eyes seemed to be ablaze, though that could be literal given the circumstances of his humanity. “I’ve lived with someone raised to be my murderer for nearly two years. How do you think I feel?”
Honestly, Simon had not thought of it that way. However, the part of his brain that his father had trained screamed at Simon that Baz killed innocents to live and that he was probably more than a few lifetimes older than Simon. It unfortunately cast everything into a clearer light: why Baz did not eat in front of Simon, why he left for days at a time on ‘trips’, why he had so much property and no living family.
“Have you killed people, Baz?” Simon asked. He desperately wanted to leave the house and never turn back. He should have listened to his gut. It had screamed at him for over a year that Baz was not human. Simon should have taken his father’s lessons to heart. He could be dead now. It was only a miracle that Baz had spared him.
“How dare you!” Baz snarled stomping away from the fireplace. Finally, Simon thought. Finally, this anger could be mutual. He stopped just a foot short of Simon, hand pointing directly at Simon’s face. “You don’t know shit, Simon Snow! How dare you say that! How dare you!” Up close, Simon saw more tears gather in Baz’s eyes. “Are you asking yourself why I haven’t killed you yet?”
“Fuck you!” Simon retorted, pushing Baz’s hand out of his face. “You’re a fucking liar, Baz Pitch!” Simon didn’t know why he was crying so suddenly. Well, he did know why. He’d just thought that Baz would be honest with him concerning everything, and this felt like a betrayal of the deepest kind. “You…you lied to me!”
Simon covered his face with his hands, feeling the dampness soak the sleeves of his shirt. Damnit, he thought. Why couldn’t he keep it together for ten minutes?
His hands were pulled away from his face, and before Simon could curse Baz for it, cold lips were pressed against his own. He vaguely understood that this was a kiss. Simon had never kissed anyone before. Training to kill vampires ruined any chance of his social life. Baz’s hands, still holding his wrists, slowly travelled down to Simon’s waist, holding him steady as he pulled back.
Simon was still crying, though no choked noises were escaping his lips anymore. “I don’t understand,” he whispered, because he really didn’t. Simon was not a product of fine breeding. He did not have status or wealth. He was human. He was male. But Baz’s lips on his own had felt realer than anything else in his life prior had ever felt. Simon rested his hands on Baz’s biceps, feeling the warmth leave his fingertips. “I don’t understand,” he repeated, looking up at Baz through clumped lashes and tears.
In response, Baz smiled down at him softly. There was no malice, and while Simon did see canines, he was not afraid. “Do you really believe I would have kept you here if I did not care for you?” Baz asked, running a soothing hand through Simon’s hair. “Even just a little bit?”
Simon burrowed into the space where Baz’s shoulder met his neck and hiccupped, feeling fresh tears spill down his cheek. Baz’s hand stalled in Simon’s hair, and he hastily began to apologize, which made Simon cry heavier.
Hours later, with the candles extinguished and the anger from the day gone, Simon realized Baz had never truly answered any of his questions.

“He’s not stable! He needs to go see a professional!”
“”He’s just a kid!! We can’t do that to him!”
“You didn’t see it, he was talking to no one, Arthur! Our son has officially gone insane!”
Both parents were arguing downstairs while y/n sat in his room. His back was against his bedroom door as he hears his parents argue about his ‘conditions’. He knew that this day was going to come, that his parents were going to crack and send him away to some asylum just because he was talking to Kylo who somehow did exist but not in person?
He groans in frustration and covers his ears with his arms, not wanting to hear his parents arguments anymore he just wants to block them out he just wants to block it all out!
“How you holding up?”
“oh shut up!!” Y/n shouts at kylo who stood by his bedroom window, it was dark outside and the moon was the only thing that lit up his room. “This is all your fault, if you just didnt get inside my head!”
“My fault? This was never my problem, the force guided you to me and a connection was created. I wanted to destroy that bond but I couldn’t, I can’t break what has been made between the two of us.” Said Kylo as he approached y/n, he held out his hand for y/n but this time the gloves were removed. He could see his hand this time I and clearly. “I know that you are stuck here and that you want to get out.” He bends down to his height and says. “come with me, I can help you. What you have doesn’t matter to your people but I do. I know what you are and what you have is powerful, I can train you and we can become one with the force.”
Y/n glares at Kylo and slowly laughs. “your crazier than me.” He whispered out and leans his head back against his door and blinks back the tears.
Leave everything behind?
Start over?
Not be seen as a freak or a monster?
He began to think about his parents, When was the last time that he’s actually had a happy moment with them? When was the last moment that they went out together as a family? When was the last time that he received a kiss from his parents? He was just wasting his time here, before he knows it he’ll be stuck inside a hospital and surrounded by therapists and doctors who’ll question him about his life and kylo.
Kylo.
Kylo has already proven to him that he was real, that damn bastard was able to steal his headphones and bring them back the next day. He thought he lost them and lied to his mother about them being broken, he felt Kylo’s hand when he was returning them meaning that he was real. If it was all an illusion then he wouldn’t have felt him and he wouldn’t be able to feel his emotions and this strong power that surrounded him.
He leans forward to see Kylo sitting in front of him, his Hand reaching out for him. “I can help you.” He whispered again.
Y/n sat up and reached out to take kylo’s hand into his own, he can feel his hand and how warm it was. He moved his fingers to graze against his pulse and he felt a light bump, he’s real. He’s really real, but was he here?
“We have to go.” Kylo lets go of his hand and Y/n lowers down his own hand and stands up with him. “Go where?” He asks.
“Some where far away from here.” And with that he disappears for a short period of time.
Y/n can hear his parents coming up the stairs a sudden panic fills him up.
“Leave, grab what you need and meet me outside.”
He hears Kylo’s voice in his head once again and quickly got to work, he grabs his backpack and stuffs in things that’s considered important to him. He makes sure that he has everything before zipping it up and walking towards his window. He slides it open and jumps out without thinking, his landing was stable enough for him to land. Groaning he stand up straight and began to rush towards the woods, he can hear his parents calling out to him which only causes him to run faster, He needs to get away and fast.
Y/n pants heavily as he ran, he takes a shot cut to the bridge.
“You’re almost there.”
He hears Kylo’s voice near by, each time he got closer to the bridge the voice in his head was slowly fading away like a heavy weight being lifted.
“Y/n.”
He stops on the opposite side of the bridge, on the other side he see kylo waiting for him. A large ship was behind him, ready to move. “Let’s go.” He can hear him say as y/n moves his legs to cross the bridge.
“Y/n!!”
He can hear his parents screams which makes him run towards kylo, he just has to get away. He ran to him with fear taking over him, he feels kylo walk towards him and pull him into a warm embrace. “You’re safe now.” He whispered against his hair before pulling away and guiding him towards his ship. “We should leave, people are waiting for us.” He instructs.
“Who’s waiting for us?”
“Supreme leader, I seen that you’ve broughten your new apprentice.”
Y/n was standing behind kylo, hiding from the unknown faces from the unknown world. All of his life he thought that his people would never reach past mars but yet here he is, standing inside a ship that was located far away from the Milky Way, far away from earth and it only took them a few seconds to arrive which left y/n shocked.
As he stays hidden behind Kylo he glances to see the tall ginger haired man. “He looks weak.” He blurts out. Causing kylo to glare at Hux.
“He’s—“
“I’m not weak I’m just new.” Y/n shot back with a small glare, stepping out from behind kylo as he stands up For himself. “All my life I thought that there was nothing else in space but here I am, standing in front of people who have been traveling around space for years. So I’m not weak, if I was the weak one then I wouldn’t be here, I would be out there back in my room and hiding myself from the world that I truly hate. I;m glad that I’m here because from the looks of it I seem to have potientional here!” He was glaring at Hux now and standing in front of him.
Hux doesn’t flinch nor does he say anything, he simply looks up to kylo. “I like this one.” He earns a small nod from Kylo which leads to Hux nodding back in return. “Your chambers are ready, just don’t destroy anything that’ll take days to repair.” He warns before turning around and leaving.
Y/n watched the ginger walk away and frowns. “Who was he by the way?” He has no idea who he just yelled at and from the looks of it he seemed like a pretty important person on this ship. “He’s general Hux one of my trustworthy companions.”
“General?! I was yelling at a general?!” Y/n yells out in panic. “Why didn’t you say anything?!”
“I enjoyed watching.” Kylo says.
Y/n could only blush in embarrassment and follow kylo down the lit corridors. It took y/n awhile to memorize the whole place, he had to keep track of where he was going so that he wouldn’t end up lost. Kylo has guided him to his chambers and allowed him to explore the ship without causing any trouble.
“I’ll be in a meeting, don’t cause any trouble. Feel free to roam around the ship but don’t go anywhere your not suppose to be.” Kylo instructs. He stands outside his doorway as y/n enters his own room and looks inside, his eyes widen in amazement. This room was bigger than his back on earth, the bed was large and wider too. The room was all covered in a black color with hints of gray.
He sets his bag on the bed and listens to kylos instructions before turning to look at him. “How long will you be gone?” He suddenly asks and bites his lip nervously. A habit that he had suddenly picked up from his mother. “I won’t be gone for long, but if you need me—“ he approached y/n and taps his temple. “—you know where to find me.” With that he leaves the room.
Y/n remains inside his chambers for the first ten minutes of arriving, but once he reaches another minute he groans in frustration. He was bored out of his mind and exploring wouldn’t hurt right? It was a huge place and he was afraid of getting lost and causing trouble but let’s be honest, when hasn’t he ever caused trouble?
He unzips his bag and takes out his phone and earbuds, slipping them on he plays some music and makes his way out of his room. The door sides open for him which startles him a little before relaxing and continuing on with his journey. He takes a left and decides to see what he can find thats interesting.
Y/n hums to the music that was playing, he randomly takes turns and heads down different floor levels. He explores the ship and is able to find the control room, peaking inside he sees multiple people on computers and barking out orders that y/n couldn’t really hear since his music was playing. He looks up ahead to see the ginger haired man again, frowning a little as he watched him stand tall with his arms behind his back as he shouts out orders.
He reached up to pull off one of his earbuds.
“—I want all cannons to be checked, the next time we use them I want them to have full power!”
He raised a brow and listen as the General continued to bark out orders. He turns to leave but ends up stepping on his own shoe lace and trips forward, stumbling inside the room that was full of working people. The loud thud caused everyone to turn their heads towards his direction.
“What are you doing here?” He hears the General say as he stands in front of him with a glare on his face.
Y/n scrambled himself off the floor and stands up, clearing his throat nervously as he answers. “I’m sorry, just wandering around.”
“I thought Ren told you to remain inside your chambers.” Hux questions.
“Yeah, but he told me that I was free to roam around as long as I didn’t cause trouble and from the looks of it, I seemed to have stumbled into some important things. I’m sorry for bothering you I was just curious about your position and all...” he says shyly and fidgets with his headphones, he would wrap the wire around his fingers as a distraction.
Hux could only stare at him, he was different from Ren. This man wasn’t full of darkness he was just anxious and nervous and he’s been there before, once with his father.
He looked innocent and almost looked like a lost puppy.
Hux couldn’t be upset about this and simply sighs. “That’s quiet alright.” He whispered out, hoping that the others around him didn’t hear. He wasnt one for being nice and he didn’t like showing it.
Y/n smiles softly at the other. “Do you mind If I stay around? Maybe you can teach me a thing or two about this place and in return I can teach you something about earth?” He offers with an awkward smile. Hux thinks about the offer and sighs. “Fine.”
It was weird how the two had suddenly gotten along, they two were able to open up to each other without being afraid of talking about their pasts. Y/n learned about Hux’s childhood and how his father was abusive towards him and how he left his own mother to die. Y/n told Hux about his own parents and how they were loving at first but once the force came to him they immediately avoided him and everything that they once had was cut off without hesitation. His parents feared him and sent him to live in the outskirts of London, far away from social places.
“That must’ve been awful for you, you’re quiet young to be going through something like that.” Said Hux.
Y/n scoffs and rolled his eyes and stares out the large window. “Me? Let’s be honest here you’ve had it harder than me. You were hurt as a child and no one did anything to help you.” He gently placed a hand on Hux’s shoulder and gave him a sympathetic smile. Before Hux could say anything else a booming voice filled the room.
“General.”
Y/n flinched at the sudden dark voice, he turns around to see Kylo standing in front of the two. His arm quickly drops from Hux’s shoulder and by instinct he hides behind Hux. He’s got to stop doing that.
“Y/n I thought I said not to cause any trouble.” Said Kylo.
“I was simply teaching him a few things, supreme leader.” Hux steps in to defend y/n but quickly regrets it when Kylo held up his hand to silence him. Y/n takes notice of this and comes out of hiding, “Stop it, leave him alone.” He shouts out. gaining the rest of the troops attention. Y/n stands between the two and glared at kylo. “Like he said he was just showing me around, don’t blame him for my mistakes.”
Kylo frowns under the mask and lowers his hand. He was able to feel a strong power coming from y/n, it was like a protective shield was around him. Stopping him from doing anything to hurt anyone. “Leave him alone, I’m warning you.”
“Is that a threat?”
“Yes.” Y/n answers back without hesitation.
He hears Hux’s breath hitch as he stands frozen in place, his eyes wide in shock. No one has ever threatened Kylo Ren before and if they did they would usually end up dead. But y/n wasn’t afraid of him, he’s been fearing his whole life that having Kylo stand in front of him was like another daily task for him to go through. He didn’t care about what others thought of him, he simply wants to enjoy this day by at least making one friend on board.
“Very well, you are to meet me in the training room in five.” Said kylo and turns around to leave the room. Y/n could only glare at his back before he disappeared. “Dumbass.” He says.
“What did you say?!” Kylo barges back inside the room with his light saber on this time. Y/n tilts his head to the side, unafraid. “that’s new.” He points out and stares at the light saber, the same one from his dream. “I asked you something.” Said kylo as he held the saber in front of y/n, close to his face to feel the heat radiating from it. But that doesn’t scare y/n. “I said nothing, oh, one and powerful supreme leader.” He smirks at kylo and reached up to gently push the saber away from his face. “Ill try to find the training deck, sir.” He walks past Kylo with a grin still on his face.
Kylo watched him walk away, his grip on the saber tightened.
“From the looks of it he won’t be easy to train.” Said Hux, earning a growl from kylo as the two gave each other a death glare. “I’m going to enjoy this.” He added with a smirk on his face.
