Irondad fic ideas #151
There is a LOT of Iron Man merch out there. One day, Stark Industries comes out with a line of Iron Man themed night lights that look like arc reactors. The marketing? "For kids who are scared of the dark: Iron Man will protect you."
In completely unrelated news, a whole bunch of child abusers across the country have recently been arrested as a result of  anonymous tips to local authorities.
Bonus:
It's an open secret at some point. Teens who are being abused start buying the night lights. Hell, adults start buying them. Charities pop up to cover the cost for anyone who needs it. Kids who are newly safe often send their night lights on to others ("I'm not scared of the dark anymore," they say).
Even with all of this, nobody snitches to the media or government. They all know grown-ups tend to complicate and ruin precious things.
It helps that the night lights clearly can distinguish between different types of situations. Kids whose parents need mental health or addiction support suddenly find they're being contacted by free services that actually help. If ICE is a concern, the people knocking on the door are not cops but immigrant rights activists. Kids who are hungry get food. Families who need housing support coincidentally find it.
"Iron Man will protect you," indeed.
This fic idea was inspired by this post from @fotibrit!!

Propaganda why Tony Stark is insufferable:
>Makes weapons
>Billionaire
>Made multiple AI Surveillance Robots
>Gaslight a child into fighting a super soldier in a foreign country for him
>His fans are annoying
Portrayed as a hero because? He chose to no longer mass produce war weapons and bombs after suffering the consequences. Huge hypocrite. Doesn't care about anyone but himself. Will backstab people if they believe in human rights when it's inconvenient to him. Seen as a hero while he's the personification of privileged people saying they're not privileged
There’s the usual “he’s a war criminal who only felt bad about it when he realized his weapons were killing white Americans as well as Arab people” reason, and also he’s just super annoying. You had to be there for the original Avengers shitty dialogue a la “we have a Hulk” that had Tumblr in a vicious chokehold. Also he was supposed to FINALLY go away after destroying all his suits in Iron Man 3 but he just… didn’t! Which is bullshit.
Tony is so annoying. When they first meet he straight up bullies Peter into fighting for his personal bullshit, insults and objectifies Aunt May in front of him, spits into his trashcan and is in general being pushy af. He blackmails Peter when he doesn’t wanna come to Germany with him AND HE DOESNT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY HE WANTS HIM TO COME. Uncomfortable vibes lol.
Tony being the one to tell peter “if Captain America wanted to hurt you he would’ve” when Peter was trying to state his case, yet HE’S also the one who put Peter in harms way when he didn’t even want to go with him???
Telling Peter that he should stick to being a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” (stealing his thing once again) when that’s what Peter _was_ doing before Tony took him out of his zone and filled his head with grander things to be apart of….bitch? Die. Ohh waaaait (jkjk) but yeah
Super long, sorry lol
Thinking about how in Homecoming when Peter accidentally caused that boat to get split in half because the Vulture’s gun exploded and Tony was acting like as if Peter was completely in the wrong for going there just because he did it without his permission. He was acting like as if Peter was out of line and “disobeyed him”, trying to act like his father. And then I remember how in CACW he’s the one who scouted Peter in the first place just because he saw he might be useful against a personal squabble between him and Captain America despite knowing that he was a kid and he’s just now acknowledging how dangerous it is because Peter “acted on his own”
Completely hijacking Peter’s superhero story and trying to control his every move (Training wheels protocol and baby monitor thing he put in the suit), acting like Peter should’ve known that Tony would send someone in despite the fact that he’d been ignoring him for 2 months since Civil War and not keeping him updated on anything!!
How the hell is peter supposed to know Tony is going to listen to him when he treats him like a kid instead of a superhero when it’s convenient for him? And when Tony loses his temper after Peter says he’s 15 not 14 like “the adult is talking” bitch he could literally flatten you without your suit!!!
I guess in a way he is acting like a father but like the absentee kind. He’s more like a sperm donor father trying to act like he has any rights over Peter’s life smh.
It’s not that reprimanding Peter for the situation is bad, but the way he makes it seem as if Peter is irredeemable as if Tony wasn't a literal weapons dealer lmfao. He could’ve said what was the truth about it without completely invalidating him saying shit like “no thanks to you” after Peter asked if everyone is okay when it’s literally thanks to Peter finding a lead on those guys in the first place that they were even noticed and it’s not like the FBI being there could’ve in no way caused a similar situation.
And then near the end of the movie when he’s getting crushed by the building rubble screaming and crying for someone to help him where the fuck is Tony?? That scene just proved that he never needed Tony’s suit in the first place to be Spider-Man since he had to use 100% his own strength to lift it off of him. I know he would’ve found the motivation even if Tony hadn’t been involved in the first place to give him the suit, take it away from him and have the words “if you’re nothing without the suit you shouldn’t have it“ echo in his head. Why did Tony even take the suit away? Like as if he expects Peter to stop being spoderman without it??? Holy fuck. This is why you don’t make it out of endgame /j /srs.
When Tony took this suit away from Peter he was like “God I sound like my dad“ shouldn’t that be a red flag to him? Wasn’t he literally just saying that he wished his dad was better than he was?? Lmfao
Propaganda why Victor Frankenstein is insufferable:
Victor Frankenstein is so pathetic not even tumblr could love him. The best parts of Frankenstein are the ones where your blessedly saved from being in his whiny, self deprecating, self centered pov. He’s so conceited that when his creation tells him directly “In revenge for killing the wife you were making for me I’m going to kill YOUR wife to see how YOU like it!”, Victor Frankenstein thinks that the creation is going to kill him and *only* him. (A decision And on top of it, he’s a shitty dad. Truly the worst.
this fucker has zero self awareness, which could maybe be fun to read about! except that 3/4 of the book consists of him constantly woe-is-me-ing about his own mistakes and how he shouldn't be responsible for any of his own actions.
He's not irredeemable, but his refusal to take accountability til it's too late is irritating

The Avengers compound was all sleek edges, clean cool-tones, and large floor-to-ceiling windows with not a speck of dust to be seen. It was an intimidating environment, to say the least. What made things worse was Mr. Stark’s hand on his shoulder and the hopeful gleam to his eyes.
The team, he had said. Tony wanted him to join the Avengers.
And with the brand new suit displayed in front of him, too… it was nearly impossible to say no.
Nearly.
When Peter stammered out a polite decline, Tony had looked at him above his lowered sunglasses, incredulous.
“You’re turning me down?” he said, heavy with disbelief. “You better think about this, kid.”
There was a long pause.
“Last chance, yes or no?”
Of course he wanted to say yes—to be in the Avengers, work with Iron Man himself… that was his dream. But he couldn’t. Someone had to look out for the little guy, right? And who better than the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?
“No,” Peter replied.
Not at all used to being rejected, Tony struggled for words for a moment, before reluctantly accepting Peter’s decision, masking his disappointment fairly well. He liked the kid, and it wasn’t exactly fun to have him slip through his fingers like this. With a wave of his hand at Happy, he told him that he’d be driven home.
“Thank you, Mr. Stark. Truly,” Peter hastily said, certain that he’d made the right decision.
Preoccupied thinking about what he was going to tell the fifty reporters waiting behind the doors, Tony absentmindedly quipped, “Yes, uh, very well, Mr. Parker.”
Peter left with a proud grin and a skip to his step, nodding when Happy asked him to wait in the car.
Before he could make his way out, however, a voice stopped him in his tracks.
“That was really ballsy, what you did back there,” you said, observing him with an amused expression, eyes narrowed with curiosity. Peter blinked, recognizing you almost immediately. “Not a lot of people would leave my dad hanging like that.”
With a widened stare, Peter found all the words stuck in his throat. You were much more breathtaking in person, with an intrigued air about you. Though your features took more after your mother, who’d passed away many years ago, Peter noticed that you shared Tony’s smile.
“Uh… yeah,” was all Peter could lamely say.
The subtle beam curving your lips seemed to grow wider. You hummed, soft and lilting, languidly stepping forward with a nod. “Hope to see you around then, Peter.” You took his hand, sliding a folded piece of paper into his palm. “Give me a call if you ever need anything. Or if you just need a friend to talk to, I’m all ears. It’s a private phone—my dad doesn’t know about it. He gets really uptight about me talking to strangers but… you’re not really a stranger, are you? At least, not for long.”
Shocked, Peter could only open and shut his mouth, as if he were a fish out of water.
“I, uhm… thank you. I’ll definitely, uh, definitely take you up on that offer,” he choked out, nodding emphatically.
You gave him a warm smile, accompanied by a two-fingered salute, and in turn, he waved goodbye, palms drenched with sweat as he hurriedly backed away to the car before Happy could yell at him.
Cute, you thought with an amused shake of your head, before making your way back to your dad, who was still muttering under his breath about how he couldn’t believe a fifteen year old had just turned him down.
Tumblr media
Your phone number stared at him every day for the next week. The numbers were hastily scribbled down in blue ink, smudged ever so slightly by the crease of the fold during your rush, but you’d taken the time to draw a smiley face right beneath the last digit. It never failed to make Peter smile every time he gave it a glance.
It took him three days to psyche himself up to even considering calling you, and another three to actually add you to your contacts, his thumb hovering over the call button far too often than he’d like to admit. On the seventh day, Peter pressed with a sharp inhale.
Three rings trilled by.
Peter wondered if you were going to pick up. He wouldn’t really be surprised if you didn’t—you were a busy person, probably, and didn’t have the time to take calls from people like him.
Another ring. And suddenly, your voice reverberated through. Peter sat up on his bed, spine straightening as if it were an iron rod.
“Hello?”
“Y/N! Hi!” he said, voice abnormally high-pitched. He cleared his throat and nervously added, “It’s Peter. Peter Parker?”
A laugh echoed in his ear. He could picture your humored smile. “Yeah, I remember. It’s nice to hear from you—thought you’d never call.”
“You were waiting?”
“Of course, I was. I wouldn’t have given you my number if I didn’t want you to call.”
Warm relief surged through his veins, accompanied by a flustered coil winding within his abdomen. “Cool, cool… so, uh, I don’t want to be too forward or anything but I think you’re… so cool and uhm—” A pause. Was Peter really asking you out on an impulsive date? “Would you wanna hang out?”
On the other end of the line, you blinked in surprise, not expecting his sudden forwardness. You shifted the phone in your palm. “Right now?” It was a good thing you weren’t busy, having caught up on all your assignments and projects. Besides—you couldn’t remember the last time you properly went out into the city with someone other than Happy, Pepper, or your dad.
“Uh… if you’re not busy, that is.”
“You know what—sure. Why the hell not?” you replied, grinning.
Peter did a double-take. “Wait—really?”
“Yes, really. I’d love to spend some time with you, Peter.”
Now it was his turn to smile, pink dusting across his cheekbones. “Great. I’ll text you where to meet, then?”
“Sure, Peter.”
After the call ended, you were quick to change into appropriate attire, not wanting to draw too much attention to yourself. You donned a soft grey hoodie and baggy black jeans, slipping out of your room a few minutes later. The location Peter had sent you was a quaint little library not too far from where you lived, within a manageable walking distance. You were glad that you wouldn’t have to ask Happy to drive you, because knowing your godfather, he’d be hovering over Peter like a vulture.
Just as you were about to slip out, your tote bag slung over your shoulder, Tony popped his head out of the living room, quirking a brow.
“Hey, kid,” he cautiously greeted. “Where you goin’?”
You froze with one foot out of the door. “Library,” you answered, trying you best to appear nonchalant.
“Hm. Which library?”
With a frown marring your lips, you crossed your arms. “Jeez, dad, whichever library! I’m sure there’s, like, a dozen in a five-mile radius.”
Mirroring your attitude, Tony mimicked your squared jaw and rolled his eyes. “You know, if you wanted to hang out with that kid Peter, you could’ve just asked.”
A beat of silence. You narrowed your eyes at your dad. “How do you know about that?”
Tony let out a loud guffaw. “What? You don’t think I didn’t know you bought yourself your own phone? Are you forgetting that your pops is Tony Stark himself? God, kid, you were just like me when I was your age.” He paused at that, rethinking what he just said. “Well, actually, I was way worse.”
He strode forward, smoothing his hands down the sleeves of your hoodie and patting your shoulders. It wasn’t often that Tony was overly affectionate with you, but whenever he was, you always appreciated how genuine he would be.
After pressing a chaste kiss to your forehead, he gently nudged you out the door. “Go on. Get! Scat!” He made shooing motions with his hands. “If you don’t get back by sundown, I’ll have Happy hunt you down and kill the kid town executioner style.” At your scowl, Tony was quick to tack on, “Joking! I’m joking.”
“Bye, dad,” you said huffily, though the affection in your tone was unmistakable. With that, you turned to leave, fishing out your phone to text Peter that you were on your way.
“They grow up so fast,” a voice mused from over Tony’s shoulder, welling with emotion.
He flinched at his friend’s sudden presence, slamming the door shut. “Jesus Christ, Happy, don’t scare me like that!”
Tumblr media
The months flew by in a breeze. You and Peter were now exclusively dating—something that he had asked about early on in your relationship, worriedly gnawing at his bottom lip with the harrowing idea of you turning him down. But you’d been nothing but sweet with him, affectionately pressing your nose into his cheek and telling him that you’d love to be official.
You were lounging on his bed, sprawled over his dark blue comforter, which smelled of fresh laundry detergent and something else entirely Peter that you couldn’t get enough off. He was across the narrow room, hunched over his desk as he hurriedly did his physics homework due the very next day. Idly, you fiddled with the web shooters you had swiped from his bedside table, narrowing your eyes at the wrist fixings and the capsules that held his web fluid.
Only a genius could build something like this on his own, you thought fondly. I’m dating a genius.
It seemed that you had said the last bit out loud, because Peter snorted in amusement.
“Yeah, says you,” he scoffed. “You skipped, like, a dozen grades.”
“Half that, actually. Six grades.”
Peter turned to look at you over his shoulder, arching his brows. “Not to mention your dad is literally the Tony Stark.”
With a hum, you slunk off his bed and languidly draped your arms over his shoulder. “Just take the compliment, Peter,” you said as you pressed a fond kiss to a faint freckle on his cheek. Then, you glanced down at the problem he was solving. “Mmh, don’t forget the negative sign. It’s moving against gravity, no?”
“Right.” He hastily corrected the formula, glancing at you appreciatively. “Thanks.”
“No prob, I make the same mistake all the time,” you quipped. “I’ve been making my own suit with the help of my dad—had to study up a lot on rotational mechanics and material physics. It’s been a pain in the ass.”
Brows raising, Peter dropped his pencil and rotated his chair so he was facing you fully, his knees grazing yours. “What? You’re making your own suit?”
“Yeah,” you said with the beginnings of an excited smile tracing your lips. “I mean, I don’t know if I’ll ever become an Avenger like my dad is but… I don’t know. It’s certainly an option.”
A low groan fell from Peter’s throat, and he buried his face in his palms. “You’re telling me we could’ve been in the same team together? Ugh, stop, stop, don’t make me regret turning your dad down.”
“Oh, no, Pete, I think you made the right choice,” you quickly reassured him, tugging his wrists away from his flushed features. “We’re still young. It’s not fair to put that responsibility on our shoulders as of now.”
The brown of his irises softened. “Yeah. We’re still young,” he echoed, ducking his head to kiss your hand clutching his. “You gotta show me that suit of yours one day, though.”
Tumblr media
Both you and Peter were strolling around an art museum, arms linked and permanent smiles plastered over your expressions as you pointed at various paintings and sculptures. It was nearly an hour into the date when your phone began buzzing in your pocket, and you hastily let go of Peter’s arm to fish it out.
“Hello?”
“Hey, bugaroo,” Tony’s drawl came through your phone. “Where are you? I’m bored.”
A lopsided grin hung onto the corner of your lips at his words. “I’m with Peter right now.”
“Hm. You guys are behaving yourselves, I hope. You using protection?”
The grin melted off your face and you scowled. “Dad, what the fuck?”
“Hey, language!” he scolded, before chuckling dryly. “God, I’m turning into Cap. Anyways—what’re you thinking for dinner tonight? Does Chinese sound good? You wanna invite the Spider over, too?”
You glanced at Peter, who was ogling an abstract painting with a tilted head and a puzzled expression. He’d never really understood the point of this art style, but when you’d explained to him that art didn’t need to be understood to be considered art, he had grown much more lenient with his views of the chaotic splotches of paint. A small smile traced the corner of your lips as you watched his features contort with every one of his thoughts. Peter truly wore his heart on a sleeve, for everyone to see.
“Yeah, sounds great,” you said into the phone. “We’ll be home in an hour.”
Tumblr media
Dinner consisted of warm soup dumplings and stir-fried noodles in flimsy paper boxes.
“Mm, Mr. Stark, these are delicious. I mean, I know you didn’t cook this or anything but it’s still really good,” Peter said around a mouthful of noodles. “Thanks for, uh, inviting me over. It’s an honor, really.”
“Stop sucking up to my dad, Peter,” you snorted, sipping on some iced tea. “He already likes you.”
One of Tony’s brows raised. “When did I ever say that?” At Peter’s slightly mortified expression, Tony rolled his eyes. “I’m kidding. Jokes, kiddo. Don’t piss yourself.”
“Speaking of piss—I’m goin’ to the powder room. Don’t fight while I’m gone,” you unabashedly said, pushing yourself away from the table. You really were your father’s child, Peter thought, mildly amused.
Tony watched you disappear behind a hallway, before fixing his gaze on Peter. The older man drummed his chopsticks by the edge of the table.
“Listen, kid, I know we’re already way past the point of this but as a father—you gotta understand that I have to give you the talk.” It was jarring to see Tony genuinely serious for once. Peter straightened himself subconsciously. “If you ever, ever hurt Y/N, I will stick a rocket up your ass and launch you straight to the moon. Do you understand?”
Peter gulped. “Yes, sir. I got it. You can trust me. I, uh, I really do like Y/N.”
“Oh, you do, do you?”
“...Yes? I’m sorry, I’m confused, do you not want me to like them?”
An unsatisfied noise fell from Tony’s lips. “Eh. I mean, would I prefer Y/N never ever date anybody and stay locked in their room forever, wasting away in front of a screen? Absolutely. But if it just had to be someone… I’m glad it’s you.”
Peter blinked in surprise. “Wow, Mr. Stark. That’s… thank you. It’s a huge honor. I promise I’ll take good care of them.”
“Yeah, don’t push it, Pete. You guys are barely a decade old.”
“Am I coming off too strong?” he winced, recoiling into his chair slightly.
The man across from him gestured to the small space between his pinched fingers. “Just a bit.”
“I’m actually fif—”
“Fifteen. I know. Y/N, too.”
There was another tense moment of silence as Tony scrutinized the young man.
Finally satisfied, he leaned back in his chair and smiled roguishly. “Phew! Glad that’s over with. In all honesty, if one of you were to hurt the other, it probably wouldn’t be you. I mean, let’s face it, you’re dating my kid, kid.”
Before Peter could respond, you slipped back into the room, your hands propped up on your hips. “Really, dad? Are you trying to scare Peter off?”
Your father gave you a sheepish shrug. “It was worth a shot.”
“I can make my own decisions,” you sternly replied. “You don’t need to hover.”
As you sat back down into the chair beside Tony, he wound an arm over your shoulders. “You know, my dad did the exact opposite of hovering when I was your age. He was always too caught up with work and stuff—barely ever saw the guy. Most birthdays n’ holidays and whatnot, he was never around. I don’t know, I just… I don’t want to be like my dad.”
Your features softened with his admission, and you turned to rope him into a proper hug.
When you pulled away, Peter nervously cleared his throat. “I, uh, for the record—I don’t think you can ever scare me off. Not even after going to the moon with a rocket up my ass.”
Tony glared at him, though there was a slight smile twitching at the corner of his lips. “Watch it, kid.”
“Sorry.”

Peter x Harley fic recs? Pls?
Had to do some digging because I had all these fics bookmarked on my old account but here you go! @loveluststerek

"What the shit," Harley says, and punches Tony in the arm. "You didn't tell me your other adopted waif was hot!"
"Excuse you, what?" Tony demands, at the same time that Peter says, "Um," and blinks his (in Harley's opinion) unfairly attractive eyes.
"Hi, I'm Harley," Harley says, striding forwards and ignoring Tony's spluttering. "And you and I should totally go on a date."
"What have I done," Tony whispers.
(Or: Peter is a disaster bi, and really so is Harley, but at least Harley has his shit together enough to ask Peter out on a date the second he meets him. Meanwhile, Tony is suddenly certain that by introducing these two, he's just triggered the apocalypse.)

When Peter Parker gets a job working at Buzzfeed there's really only one subject he can write about: superheroes. And what superhero does he know better than everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?
What he didn't expect was that everyone would think Peter's new obsession with the hero would be interpreted quite like That.

"Stay?"
Peter finally looked down to see Harley Fucking Keener, Iron Lad, the boy who had caused his shoulder to be throbbing all night, looking away with a slight tint to his cheeks. Peter opened and closed his mouth, no sound coming out.
And he sat back down.
OR: Peter had been living on the streets, dealing with your average homeless vigilante stuff. Things got a bit more complicated when the Avengers started to chase him down.

When Harley finally gets to come to New York to hang out with Tony he's excited to build some robots and blow stuff up. Instead Tony is insisting that he meets that damn intern that he's been bragging about for months. Harley doesn't even have to meet the guy to know he's already sick of Peter Parker.
In other news that cute guy that hangs around the tower keeps running away before Harley can find out his name. Damn it.

Tony tells Peter Parker that a new intern is coming to work at SI for the summer. Peter's class is taking an SI field trip when Harley arrives. Good thing Peter decided to skip the field trip.
Now I apologize if any of these aren't up to your standards, I haven't read them for a long time and just went off of my old account bookmarks. If you want more or have read all of these or want a specific thing just ask! :D

: ̗̀➛ happy superhero day!
Tumblr media
it is national superhero day, and i couldn't go through the day *without* sharing my favorite heroes! so, enjoy my top 5 list for the avengers!
5) Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Tumblr media
honestly, nat is a strangely relatable character for me since she had her childhood ripped away by a third-party to satisfy their corrupted desires. she is a strong and inspiring woman, and all-in-all has a great personality for a character.
4) Thor
Tumblr media
a rather unique character, being a god from asgard. i have yet to watch "love and thunder" (and do not write down any spoilers pls!), but i really have grown to like thor's character. he's a bit arrogant, but his arrogancy is earned at times since; because, after all of the sacrifices he'd made to protect the people and asgard to the best of his ability, he's become more worthy than anyone to be not only the king, but also to hold his hammer.
3) Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Tumblr media
let's face it, every peter parker is a goofball in some way, shape, or form if you notice. but, they're also massive sweethearts that make mine melt each time i watch a "spider-man" movie. it makes me surely wish that i had a "friendly neighborhood spider-man" over here...
2) Steve Rogers/Captain America
Tumblr media
the man, the myth, the legend. honestly, this character is great. he has lost a lot while maintaining all of his morals and learning along with his day-to-day life. i really feel bad for not having the energy to write more about this man now, but i think that steve rogers is the perfect man to make as captain america.
1) Tony Stark/Iron Man
Tumblr media
i really love tony as a character over all from how much he had developed over the series. he really went from being the wild playboy he started off as, to then being a loyal and loving husband and father with his family that he made with pepper. of course, he is still a little bit arrogant and narcissistic, but he changed so much over time that he is definitely not the same character that we started with; but, he is still just as if not more loveable now than he ever has been. i sincerely hope that we get to see this character & robert downey, jr. in a movie again. i miss him sm.
who are your favorite superheroes/avengers?

He’s getting by.
After spending such a long time in the hospital, battling against death yet again, Tony Stark is back home with his family. He was in a coma for most of the past months, unfortunately missing his daughter’s birthday. She didn’t mind and instead they made a super special birthday party when he came home. It was very fun.
If not for one thing missing.
No, someone.
Tony can’t tell how he knows that someone is gone. When he invited people, he knew there was one that he wanted them to attend the most. He knew there was someone he’s been quite literally dying to see again.
And yet he has no idea.
Regardless, Tony lives by.
Until one night…
Morgan is asking him to read her a story, so Tony checks her bookshelf, noticing there aren’t only regular books, but hand-made ones as well. Curious, Tony takes one of them…
“Irondad and Spiderson”.
Tony feels something in his head. Like a spark. A lightbulb that flickers.
It’s him, as Iron Man, flying while the… “Spiderson” is shooting webs next to him.
“Daddy?” Morgan calls him.
He stares at the cover intensely.
Only for him to realize that this is probably a character Morgan created.
“Oh, I just found this comic of yours,” Tony smiles, trying to ignore the spark inside him. “Irondad and Spiderson.”
Except Morgan frowns as well.
“I didn't draw that,” she says.
The spark grows bigger.
“Wh… What do you mean?” Tony questions. This doesn’t make sense. “It has your name in it, see?”
Even as he gestures at it, Morgan only shakes her head with conviction.
“Nope. Never saw that in my life.” Although saying it kind of dramatically, she’s very serious.
Tony opens the comic, the first page introducing Iron Man and…
Spider-Man.
“Your friendly neighborhood hero that always saves the day. But he gets in a lot of trouble, so Iron Man has to take care of him. The two grow closer and they become like a dad and his son.”
Tony didn’t realize he said that out loud.
“Read it! Read it!” Morgan says excitedly, maybe enjoying the premise.
Despite the millions of questions in his head, Tony clears his throat and begins.
Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, is a regular teenager who lives with his Aunt May. He was bitten by a radioactive spider that gave him spider powers. One day, all of a sudden, Tony Stark arrives at his home to offer him to fight by his side, since he sees great potential in him. Their first fight is against… Captain America. They didn’t win, but Tony wants to keep in contact with Peter. The kid begs him to be an Avenger, so much that he messes up a lot and he loses his suit. Then, Peter proves himself to be a true hero by fighting a super villain named The Vulture with nothing but his homemade resources. And he also proves to be humble when he declines becoming an Avenger when Tony offers him. Despite this, Peter and Tony remain in contact, and might even grow closer beyond the superhero life.
The comic ends there.
“I liked it!” Morgan says.
Tony, he…
He…
“Daddy, are you crying?”
Is he?
He only realizes that when a tear falls on the comic.
“Oh,” Tony dries his eyes, except more tears keep coming. “I- I don’t know why I’m–”
Regardless, Morgan has scooted closer to him to wrap her small arms around his neck.
“It’s okay,” she whispers. “It’s gonna be okay.”
The comic falls from his hand, landing on the floor.
Tony is shaking so much.
Why?
Why is he?
Why does this emptiness hurt ?
He finds out there are more Irondad and Spiderson editions Morgan made. Quite a few.
They’re filled both with action-filled plots and slice of life moments. Like Peter and Tony watching movies together. Going to the lab to update their suits. Spending time with the bots. Times when Peter nonchalantly dismisses his wounds so he doesn’t worry Tony.
All of these comics, they…
They’re so familiar .
Somehow.
Because he knows Morgan wouldn’t come up with such… specific stories involving her dad. Sure, his daughter is extremely creative, as most children are. But there’s also the fact Morgan doesn’t recall drawing these comics in the first place. Pepper doesn’t remember seeing her making them, either.
Something is wrong about all this.
It’s like Tony is being haunted by a ghost. A ghost named Peter Parker.
A rather familiar sensation, too.
He even checks his files, just in case. But there’s… nothing. Like a great portion has been removed without notice. F.R.I.D.A.Y didn’t detect any anomaly that could’ve sniped them.
He only reaches more dead ends, no matter how hard he tries.
It doesn’t make sense. Why can’t Morgan remember? Why can’t Tony remember?
Why–
His phone is vibrating in his pocket.
Happy.
Tony hasn’t heard from him in a while, since the party.
“Oh, hey,” he picks it up. “Were you taking another vacation from me?”
Happy laughs. “I wish.”
“Hey,” Tony pretends to be offended.
“No, really… a lot has been going on.”
“Is that so?”
“Yeah, I’ve been busy taking care of this kid.”
Tony frowns. “Kid? You have a kid?”
“No, not that kind of kid, Tony.”
“Then what kind of kid?”
“He’s… someone’s nephew. I knew this woman named May, who unfortunately… passed away recently. She was the one who raised this kid, and he doesn’t have any family left, so I’m looking after him instead.”
Tony’s inner lightbulb flickers again.
May.
Aunt May.
Who has a nephew…!
“Happy,” Tony says seriously, “what’s the kid’s name?”
“Oh, his name is Peter. Why?”
“His name is Peter Parker?”
“Yes, Tony. Do you know him?”
He stares at Morgan’s comic in his hand, staring most specifically at the panel of Peter and Tony’s first meeting.
“Is he there with you?” Tony asks.
“Wh- yes, he is.”
“Okay. I’ll be there in five.”
“Wait, Tony–”
He hangs up immediately, leaving the comics and questions behind for his loyal Iron Man suit. He makes sure to text Pepper to let her know where he’s going.
Indeed, he arrives in five minutes at Happy’s apartment. Tony barely gives him any mind, instead looking for the kid.
“Where is he?” He demands.
“Tony, you’ve got to tell me what’s going on,” Happy stops him. “Do you know Peter?”
“I think… I do.”
Seeing the pain in his tone and his eyes, Happy’s expression softens.
“Just… go easy on him. He’s in a rough shape. After everything that’s happened to him…”
Maybe that has to do with why everything is wrong. Why everything seems empty.
Happy is guiding him to a room with a closed door, not before he knocks on it.
“Peter?” He calls. “Someone wants to see you.”
They both wait.
Eventually, they hear slow steps coming to the door.
And it opens…!
Revealing a teenager whose curls are completely messy, his brown eyes are exhausted and heavy, and he looks… sick. As in, mentally sick.
Still, Tony can tell the kid also has a lightbulb in him since he seems to brighten up with his presence.
“M-Mr. Stark,” Peter says with emotion .
Peter knows Tony.
He knows .
He even looks like he’s going to cry at any moment.
But…
Instead, he forces a smile and offers a hand to shake.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Peter says.
Tony stares at his hand.
Then at his face.
Peter looks broken.
So…
Tony hugs him.
As tight as he can.
“Mr. Stark?!” Peter blurts out.
Hugging him…
Is familiar, too.
It’s warm and precious.
It’s warm like all the hot chocolates they drank together. Like the laughter they shared during movie nights. Like the moments of comfort after bad days and harsh battles. Like their first hug in five years.
Tony sniffs.
“I remember, Peter,” he whispers. “I remember you.”
The kid freezes.
“Y-You… remember me?” Peter’s voice is tiny and watery.
“I do.”
Peter loses it.
He’s crying like never before. Like he has held this inside him for too long.
“I’m so sorry, Peter,” Tony says, despite not knowing what happened for his kid to be in such a state. “I should’ve been there for you.”
“I-I-I’m sorry,” Peter sobs. “I’m so sorry, I’m…”
“Shhh…” Tony rubs his back. “I’ve got you, Pete.”
They refuse to let each other go.
“I m-missed you,” Peter says.
“I missed you, too…” Tony pauses dramatically “... my Spiderson.”
Peter snorts. “What?”
“What?”
“That’s so dumb,” Peter giggles.
“I know you like it.”
He only faces Peter again to see him smile.
“Yeah,” the teen sniffs, his face a wet mess.
Tony smiles back, content.
He found him.
He found his lost son.
Now, whatever happened, he’s not sure how they’re going to deal with it now. What he’s sure of, is that he’s taking care of his kid again.
Like Irondad once did.

Heya! ✨ Just gonna sneak into your ask box reaaaaally quick! I Hope You’re feeling better after being sick for the while— don’t stress too much!
I really wanted to know if you already know how your story will continue (an enemy? A friend? No, just your friendly neighbourhood spiderman) and if you very very possibly would give us a sneak peek?
Apart from that I have a lil request juuuuust if you wanna; would you write for Bucky, Tony and Steve? Like breaking the last bit of ice between the white Wolf and iron man thanks to Steve? Some tickles for everyone maybe— with steve helping both parties only to get teamed up on?
And one last question; would you consider a continuation for Suit up? Just Y’know consider— I’d love to know how that would end big chaos?? Or humble?
And just for the record; no pressure! Just options hehe ^^✨
Anyways! Wish you good day/night for now and I can’t wait for what you’ll come up with in the future! ✨ 🫂
Hiiiii~ I am all better now, thanks for asking ^-^
I have a solid idea where "An Enemy? A Friend? No, just your friendly neighborhood Spiderman" is going, and I'm working on the second (third?) chapter atm. (Spoiler: Sam hates his life, and the bird bros have a looong way to actually being bird bros)
Your request sounds cute, I'm gonna include that in my list, let's see where that is going. I hope you don't mind longer prompts….. (staring at the last prompt, which escalated into an 8,000 and above word monstrosity)
A sequel for Suit Up is already in the making, and I have a title for it too! Like, I suck at title choosing, it's always a pain to think of something fitting but this time, I had the title right at the start! Unbelievable, but it did happen lmao.
What about u tho? Everything alright?

Ultimate Spider-Man: Marriage, Kids, and Heroics in the Ultimate Universe!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Exciting news for all you Spider-Man fans in the Ultimate Universe! Spidey has grown up and tied the knot! Yes, your dreams have finally come true – Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are now a happily married couple. Thanks to the talented duo of writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Marco Checchetto, we're getting the Ultimate Ultimate Spider-Man, where Peter and MJ are not just wedded but also raising two kids. And fear not, because Peter still manages to be your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Hickman dropped a hint that this new Ultimate Spider-Man would resemble "Peter B. Parker" from "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" – the one who's married and a parent. Turns out, he wasn't joking, and fans who've longed for Peter and MJ to be together are in for a real treat when "Ultimate Spider-Man #1" swings into action this coming January.
Marvel is shouting from the rooftops, proclaiming, "That's right, Spider-Man is a married man!" Get ready to meet Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, now known as MR. & MRS. PARKER! They're one of pop culture's most cherished couples, and in the Ultimate Universe, their bond is stronger than ever.
In this ongoing series set in Marvel's fresh Ultimate Universe, you'll meet a different Peter Parker – older, wiser, and juggling not only being a superhero but also a husband and a dad. Balancing these responsibilities has never been more challenging.
To mark the return of the Parkers as a married couple in some corner of the multiverse, Marvel has unveiled an incredible new cover for "Ultimate Spider-Man #1" by Elizabeth Torque. She's also creating variant covers for the first four issues of the series. Additionally, there's some cool promotional art by Ryan Stegman.
Jonathan Hickman, the mastermind behind this new Spider-Man story, explains, "When we decided to explore the story of an older Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man, we wanted to take a different approach, starting his superhero journey from a place that breaks tradition. Peter and MJ being married is just one of the choices we've made to make this Spider-Man story feel truly 'different'."
So, mark your calendars because "Ultimate Spider-Man #1" swings onto shelves on January 10. It's time to embark on a new chapter in the life of your favorite web-slinger. Meanwhile, in Ultimate Universe #1, Thor doesn't need anyone's permission to wield Mjolnir. This one-shot lays the foundation for the new Ultimate line of comics. The new Ultimate Universe began earlier this year with the Ultimate Invasion limited series and continues next week with Ultimate Universe #1. This one-shot is written by Jonathan Hickman, illustrated by Stefano Caselli, and colored by David Curiel, and it's all set to kickstart an exciting new line of Ultimate comics.
Oh, and keep an eye out for Iron Lad (the Earth-6160 version of Tony Stark) and the new Earth-6160 Reed Richards donning some Doom-like armor.
Marvel's official synopsis for the new issue reads:
"THE SPOILS OF VICTORY! After the world-shaking conclusion of ULTIMATE INVASION, a new team of heroes assembles to safeguard the future! From the genius mind of Jonathan Hickman and the superb artistry of Stefano Caselli, don't miss out on this foundational issue for the new line of Ultimate Comics!"

as most of you know, my very patient father has been letting me make him watch the entire MCU with me for the last year or so. these are his opinions about his favorite and least favorite characters:
FAVORITES
hawkeye. "arrow guy. he's normal and a dad."
bruce banner. "the hulk seems like a nice man."
loki. "i like loki. i'm rooting for loki. this movie would have been better with loki in it [every time there is a movie without loki in it]."
ant-man. "he's funny and charming and handsome, and he's a dad."
steve. "he's a grade-a beefcake."
bucky. "was that bucky? bucky was there. he's mostly a bad guy but you said he's a good guy so i guess he's a good guy."
sam. "i like the flying captain america. his speech was important, and he doesn't like to kill people. he doesn't use guns."
peter parker. "i like spider-man. he's a friendly neighborhood spider-man and a nerd. what a fine actor. he reminds me of a young michael j. fox." [????? MY DAD HAS NEVER SEEN MICHAEL J. FOX IN ANYTHING????]
black panther. "this was actually a good movie. your mom really likes killmonger. she has a crush on him."
shang-chi. "i like him. he's a good guy, and he has spider-man energy. he's just a dude."
jimmy woo. "i like jimmy woo. why isn't he in more things? shouldn't the fbi be taking care of some of this terrorism and crime?"
kamala khan. "this was the best show besides loki. i like her spider-man energy, she was charming and it was appropriate for children."
LEAST FAVORITES
tony. "tony is based on my boss. i could have gotten one of the iron man suits back when they made the movie but you didn't like marvel yet, and i'm too short."
doctor strange. "he is too snarky. too much snark. there's no soul in that man."
rocket raccoon, specifically, of the guardians of the galaxy, whom as a whole he does not like. "i don't like that raccoon. that raccoon is too much of a curmudgeon."
thor. "this movie was really bad. i was rooting for loki."
moon knight. "i didn't like egyptface. dark sand. mirror man. what's he called? the sad man. the one you like. not bucky. llewyn davis. i never like him. except in star wars. but i don't like him in star wars as much as you do."
He has no opinion on anyone else because he cannot remember who they are to save his life. Before Infinity War I made him a 90-minute powerpoint presentation to remind him who everyone was and he still asked who everyone was when they showed up. when we saw love and thunder, he forgot who jane was between the end of the movie and the post-credits scene.

Peter Snaps Instead Ao3 Recommendations
Down Came the Rain by RisingAnarchy
Chapters: 1/1
Peter had lost enough people in his life to know he never wanted to lose another. Too many people have come and gone to the point where he couldn’t take it anymore. Tony was not allowed to sacrifice himself, Peter would make sure of it.
He’d made that mistake before, countless times before. He wasn’t going to let go of the only thing close to a father. He couldn’t.
Too many mistakes later, he figured it out. Luckily, the boy leaned fast enough to make sure it never happened again.

“That’s not your responsibility!” He could see Tony racing towards him now, hear the strain of his repulsors as he pushed the suit go faster. It wouldn’t make a difference. Peter had already made up his mind. “We don’t have time for anything else,” he said.

Irondad fic ideas #110
The Iron Spider suit is a completely sealed environment. During the pandemic, Peter has been using this suit to stay safe on his patrols and to give Tony and May peace of mind
However, he quickly realizes that the suit also gives him an amazing opportunity. In these new and upsetting times, with everyone stuck at home, afraid and isolated from each other, Peter, in the Iron Spider suit, can pretty much go wherever he wants
So, during the pandemic, Peter expands his usual patrol routine. In addition to his daily grind of getting cats out of trees and stopping bicycle thieves, he starts delivering food and other necessary items to those who can't leave their homes
Maybe someone is immunocompromised, so even after lockdown ends they need to stay inside. Maybe someone is sick and staying home to heal and to keep others safe. Peter visits their fire escapes with groceries, offers to do their laundry for them and walk their dogs. He entertains kids with sick parents through their windows. He gives someone a hug who has been stuck alone in their room for days. It becomes commonplace to see Spider-Man swinging through the city with, essentially, care packages.
Eventually, people start leaving notes on their windows about things they need. Most of the notes start like, "This is only for if you're not too busy!" but Peter loves being able to bring someone their favorite tea, or to help a young mother stock back up on baby formula. Some of the notes are about other people, "My friend at 123 Something Street is sick and he really loves this one pho place..." All of the notes end with sincere gratitude.
(Some of the notes just are gratitude. Paragraphs and fanart and so many people expressing their thanks.)
In this way, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man keeps everyone connected and cared for, even if they first thought they were alone
Bonus:
Inspired by Peter, Tony starts up a new charity (alongside all of his other pandemic relief efforts). The charity allows people to make requests for things they need and to note gifts they'd like to send to others.
It's all ranked by urgency, with the most vital stuff getting sent to people right away. But, the public is also encouraged to donate to a fund (with Tony matching all their donations) to make the less urgent things happen too. Because yes, needs are important. But fulfilling small wants -- giving each other things that aren't exactly required but are deeply appreciated -- is how we show we really care
In this way, the whole city can be inspired by Spider-Man
(Without even having to leave their homes -- since, obviously, the charity's care items are delivered by Iron Legion robots)
Whatever acronym Tony uses for the charity's name, it has something to do with Spider-Man and how, in spite of tough times, we are all still one big neighborhood
This fic idea is dedicated to @lbozzie! Happy belated birthday! I am leaving this fic idea on your fire escape for you to find <3

A Heart Of Iron Chapter 17
Tumblr media
Chapter below cut
TONY
Tony's on a ship that looks like something out of Star Wars when something taps him on the shoulder. He spins around, repulsors at the ready, when he sees a floating red cape that he recognizes as Dr. Strange's cloak.
"Wow," he says as he lowers his repulsor, "You are a seriously loyal piece of outerwear, aren't you?"
"Yeah, uh, speaking of loyalty," someone says, and Tony spins around to see a 16-year-old Peter Parker wearing a red metal suit that has a black spider design on it outlined in gold, a suit that he made.
"What the-" Tony starts, but Peter cuts him off.
"I know what you're gonna say-" Peter started, but Tony interrupted him.
"You should not be here," Tony says.
"I was gonna go home-" Peter starts, but Tony interrupts him again.
"I don't wanna hear it," Tony says, upset.
"-but it was such a long way down and I just thought about you-" Peter continues.
"And now I gotta hear it." Tony says exasperatedly.
"-and kinda stuck to the side of the ship. And this suit is ridiculously intuitive, by the way-" Peter talks over him.
"God damn it," Tony sighs.
"-so if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here," Peter says, and Tony looks at him harshly, the cloak also spinning around to face him.
"What did you just say?" Tony asks, voice filled with annoyance and a little bit of anger.
"I- I take that back," Peter says guiltily, "And now," he continues, "I'm here in space."
"Yeah," Tony says, stepping forward, "Right where I didn't want you to be. This isn't Coney Island. This isn't a field trip. This is a one-way ticket, you hear me? Don't pretend you thought this through."
"No, I did think this through. I did think this through!" Peter says emphatically.
"You could not have possibly thought this through," Tony says, talking over him.
"You can't be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there's no neighborhood." Peter says, a note of finality in his voice. Tony stares at him, mouth open in a mixture of shock and confusion, "Okay, that didn't really make sense, but you know what I'm trying to say."
Tony stares at him speechless, breath shaking with emotion, before he sighs and relents, saying, "Come on. We've got a situation."
The first thing Tony felt when he woke up was someone laying next to him, arms wrapped around his waist. He started to go back to sleep before realizing that this wasn't one of his hookups. It was Loki. Tony shot awake.
He carefully removed Loki's arms from around his waist and rolled over to get out of bed. He put his feet on the floor, took 2 steps, and promptly fell on his face with a loud thump, waking up Loki.
"Tony? What's going on?" Loki asked, voice rough with sleep. He slowly sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
Tony felt his face heat up, and he quickly turned away. "Nothing! I just forgot about my wheelchair for a second. I'll be fine!" he said hurriedly, fumbling in the dark for his for the bed to pull himself up. Loki let out a quiet laugh before walking over to Tony and helping him into his wheelchair.
"There we go!" Tony said, and he tried to pop a wheelie, immediately regretting it when he fell flat on his back. Loki laughed and helped him up again.
"Hey, JARVIS? What time is it?" Tony asked, looking up at the ceiling.
"It is currently 5:33am," JARVIS said, and Tony let out a sound of disbelief.
"Why did I wake up at this ungodly hour?" Tony groaned, throwing his hands up in the air.
Just as he said that, Steve poked his head in through the door. "Hey! Are you coming?" he said, before doing a double take. "Is that Tony?"
Tony flushed bright pink at the reminder of where he slept. "Hey, Steve," he said.
"Okay? Anyway, Loki, were you still going to come on the morning run with me?"
"You run?" Tony asked Loki, turning his wheelchair to face the other man.
"Yeah. It's just something I do to help wake up," Loki shrugged, "Usually about 13 miles or so."
Tony's heart skipped a beat at the thought of Loki, sweaty and out of breath, relaxing on a bench after just running 13 miles, and that was definitely not an image he should be thinking about right now. Trying to distract himself, he responded, "You run 13 miles every morning?"
"Not every morning! Sometimes, when I'm feeling lazy, I'll only run 10," Loki said defensively, and Tony laughed.
"Okay," Tony said slowly, trying to process that information. Eventually, he let out a little laugh, and, with that, Loki went to the bathroom to change into his running clothes. Once the door was closed, Steve turned to Tony, looking for an explanation as to why he was sleeping in Loki's room. Tony took a second to debate whether or not he should tell Steve about the dreams, but he realized that, if he wanted to try and change what he saw, he was going to need help.
"So, basically, I've been having these dreams. Well, they're not exactly dreams, more like visions of the future that come when I'm sleeping. So far I've seen Stephen Strange in some weird wizard gear that looked like something from DND saying that he saw 14 million outcomes, and that we only won one, a little girl, I think she was mine and Pepper's daughter, going to bed, something about me figuring out time travel, Loki dying, and, most recently, Peter as a teenager on a spaceship that looked like something from Star Wars. The dream about Loki dying is why I was here," Tony rambled, and Steve looked more and more confused as he went on.
"Wait, wait, wait. How do you know these aren't just dreams?" Steve said, bemused.
"Because some of the things that are in them are real, like the planet Strange and I were on. Apparently it's called Titan, and that's where the giant purple grape was from," Tony explained, "I'm telling you this because I think we need to stop it. Loki dies, Steve."
"Tony, how do you even know we can change it?" Steve said, and Tony stopped, shocked.
"Because we have to. Strange said that we only won one out of 14 million possibilities. This might be it," Tony said, not wanting to think about what would happen if they failed.
"What if it isn't? Tony, what if you're wrong?" Steve said, and Tony stilled.
"No. I can't be," Tony said quietly, "If I'm wrong, then he dies. I can't let him die, Steve. I can't."
Steve looked like he suddenly realized something, and then his look of disbelief softened and shifted into one of understanding and worry.
"Tony-" he started, but just then, Loki came out of the bathroom, wearing Tony's t-shirt from the 1970 Stark Expo and a pair of black jogging shorts. Tony felt his face heat up, and Steve sent him a knowing look before he and Loki left the room.
Tony decided to use the time he had before Loki got back to start a journal about the dreams. He rolled back to his room, went to his desk, pulled out a blank journal, and started writing.

Once he was done writing, he closed the journal and asked JARVIS for the time.
"It is currently 6:31am," JARVIS said, and Tony sighed, put the journal away, and started heading to the kitchen to get started on breakfast.
When he got there, Peter and Ned had the Lego Death Star out again and were working on it. They heard Tony come in and waved at him without looking up from their project. He let out a little laugh at their focus, before he asked them what they wanted for breakfast. The answer was a resounding "Chocolate chip pancakes!"
Tony got out the pancake mix and had JARVIS play his cooking playlist. He started to blend the ingredients as Highway To Hell came on. He started to sing along, and, before he knew it, Loki and Steve were back.
"Hey guys! I'm making pancakes!" Tony said, trying to ignore the fact that how Loki looked after his morning run was definitely making him flush red.
"Cool!" Steve said, turning to look at Peter and Ned, "So, how is it going, Ned?"
Ned looked speechless at the fact that Captain America had spoken to him and remembered his name, so Peter responded instead. "It's going really good, right, Ned?"
Ned, still in shock, just gave a quick nod. Steve smiled and said, "Can I help?" The two boys quickly said yes, well, Peter said yes and Ned gave a frantic nod, and started explaining the instructions to Steve.
Meanwhile, Loki had walked over to Tony and started helping him make the pancakes, and the fact that he kept bumping into Tony while he was doing that did not help with Tony's heart rate. By the time they had the first batch of pancakes ready, Tony's face was flushed red and his heart was racing as if he was the one who had just run 13 miles. They called everyone for breakfast, and it only took 30 seconds before the others were barrelling into the room.
Once the pancakes were distributed, Tony and Loki joined Steve, Peter, and Ned. They spent the rest of the morning working on it, and, by the lunchtime, they had finished it.
"So, guys, what do you guys want to do next?" Tony asked.
"Ned, do you wanna see my room? It's super cool!" Peter asked the other boy, and the two immediately ran off in the direction of the room. Tony let out a little laugh at that, and the three of them went over to where the others were watching Lord of the Rings.
Steve walked over to the couch, and Tony and Loki chose the two beanbags that were sitting side by side. They settled in, and started to watch the movie. Well, Loki started to watch the movie. Tony, however, was trying to calm his heart rate down.
He had just gotten calmed down when Steve motioned for him to go over to him. Tony rolled over, and Steve immediately leaned in to whisper in his ear.
"Are you going to tell the others about the dreams? If we're going to try to stop them, we'll need all the help we can get," Steve said quietly, and Tony froze. He started to think about it, and the more he thought, the more he realized that Steve had a point. He nodded at Steve and then turned to face the rest of the group.
"Guys? I have something to tell you."

Peter had left school early to tend to ‘Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man’ business. He told Aunt May that he would be home later, and not to wait up for him. He needed to make some more web fluid and Mr. Stark wanted to talk to him about a new suit he was working on.
When Peter got to the tower he walked to the lab. When he walked in her saw Natasha, Bucky, Steve, Sam, and Tony. Tony was working in his Iron Man suit, and the others were sitting at a nearby table eating pizza.
“Hi Mr. Stark,” Peter says walking over to the table Tony was at and slinging his bookbag off his shoulder and putting it in the chair.
“Underoos.” Tony says, not looking up from his suit.
“Peter where’s Spidergirl? She didn’t patrol with you today?” Nat asks, then takes another bite of her pizza. Peter blushes at the name for you.
“Oh Uhm, no. She had debate club, then had to go to the library and study for a big test she has coming up.” Peter says, grabbing his web-shooters out of his bag.
“Good,” Sam says. Everyone looks at him with a confused expression on their face. “What?? They are always touching. Holding hands. Kissing. IT’S WEIRD.” Sam states, to which Bucky points at Sam and nods in agreement.
“I think you’re just jealous that you’re 40 and single. And they’re 17 and in love. Keep your bitterness to yourself.” Natasha says. Sam rolls his eyes and shoves a slice of cheesy bread in his mouth.
“She’s a Stark, why wouldn’t he be in love with her?” Tony says eyeing Peter, “You are in love with her, correct Parker?” Yes! Of course, he is in love with you. He’s been in love with you since 7th grade when you asked him where Mr. McCayers classroom was. He tried to distract himself with Liz when you started dating Brad Junior year. Little did he know, you only dated Brad to distract yourself, then Brad tried to feel you up at homecoming in front of his friends, and you left him there, in the middle of the gym, by himself, single.
“Yes, Mr. Stark. I love her.” Peter nods and grabs the things he needs for his web fluid. Tony mutters a ‘good’ and Nat murmurs an “as you should”
It's around 7:30, everyone was working on their own thing and Peter was doing some calculus homework because Tony threatened to take the suit if Peter didn’t keep his grades up. Peter's phone started ringing and he saw your name.
Peter answered and put it on speaker, nobody batted an eye.
“Hey sweetheart, what’s up?” Peter asks as he continues working on his homework.
“Nothing much went to debate club with Mj, then the library and got a bunch of homework done, and now I’m on my way back to the tower. god, whoever said Senior year was gonna be laid back and easy, can sucka dick.” Peter lets out a small laugh and Tony lets out a small chuckle, and Steve stares daggers at him. “Anyways how was your day?” y/n continues.
“It was pretty good, I went to Dehlmers after patrolling, and got you and me some food. It’s in the fridge with your name on it. How about you?  How was your day?” Peter asks.
“Aw, I love you so much, thank you. It was pretty shit. First, you leave early, then Ned and Betty were being all weird and coupley at lunch-” she starts, but then is cut off by Peter.
“But we’re all coupley at lunch...”
“Peter, you hold my hand while we eat, you don’t feed me. And no, before you say anything, I do not want you to feed me. Anyways, after lunch, Betty walked Ned and me to our Literature class. And Ned went in for a kiss and Betty basically tongue fucked Ned's mouth in the middle of the hallway. With that being said I think Ned is going to lose his virginity tonight, then Mj will be the on virgin left.” You let out a small laugh and everyone’s eyes went wide and Peter's cheeks flushed.
“Of fuck while on that topic, I’m gonna pick up some condoms, I think we used the last few last nights. Also, you know what would make me feel better-“ you were quickly cut off.
“I, uh got to go.” Peter quickly hangs up leaving you confused at the other end of the now hung-up line. “Mr. Stark, let me explain-”
“Explain? Explain what? That you’re having sex with my daughter? Oh just wait until she gets home.” Tony says
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You walked into the local convenience store and picked up a 36 pack. This may seem like a lot, but you guys are 1. horny teenagers and 2. Peter's endurance is UP there.
"Y/n?" when you look up you see Ned, standing there with a 2 pack of condoms in his hands.
"Oh! Hey Ned." He looks over at your hand. Jed reads the box,
TROJAN Magnum Large Size Condoms For Comfort And Sensitivity, 36 Count
"36?!? Why so many?" I let out a small laugh and walk over to him.
"He's Spider-man, what did you expect? Uhm, are you and Betty gonna..?" You ask
"Yeah.,.. I'm kinda nervous. I have no clue what to do. I've watched porn, but I'm still a virgin." You can tell Ned is freaking out about it.
"You got this, if Betty loves you she won't judge you if you aren't good the first time. Practice makes.... better." You say giving him a reassuring pat on the back. He gives you a small smile and you say your goodbyes.
You grab a few more things, your favorite chips and drink, and Peter's favorite drink and candy.
You get in line to check-out, there are 2 people in front of you so you pull out your phone and see a text from Peter.
Baby Boy❤️: Baby! You messed up!?!!!
Me: What? lol
Baby Boy❤️: NOT LOL YOU JUST TOLD YOUR DAD YOU ARENNT AVIRGIN.
Read 7:59
You sigh and roll your eyes, putting your phone in your pocket.
“I can help who's next in line.” Someone says plainly, but you recognize the voice. You look up and see Flash. Flash Thompson. You internally groan and walk up to the counter. “Oh! Hey Y/n” He says.
“Hey Flash, I didn’t know you worked here.” You set your stuff down on the counter, and he smiles.
“Yep, ‘bout a week now. Brad's uncle is the manager here, and he got us a job. Brads in the back right now.” He starts scanning your stuff and you speak,
“Nice. Surprised you guys aren’t goofing off right now” He rolls his eyes in a dramatic way.
“Yeah right. We are very responsible and respectful and, uhm, re- respectable.” You both laugh, and he scans the last item. “That’ll be 26.38. Do you want a receipt?” He asks. You grab out a $20 and a $10
“Here you go.” you hand it to him. “And yes please.” He hands you back your change and hands you the receipt. “See ya.” he says and hands you your bag.
“Thanks, see ya. “ you grab the bag from him and head back to the tower.
~~~~~~~~~~~
When you got back to the tower F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke.
"Miss Stark, your father has requested you to go to the main lab." You sign and walk to the lab. When you get in there you see Peter and Tony sitting next to each other at a table. Nat, Buck, Steve, and Sam were also in there. They were at the same table, and Bucky snickered when he saw you walk into the lab.
"Hey everyone." You smile. Peter shoots you a 'help me' look. You walk over to your dad and set your stuff down. "Friday said you needed me." You smile at him.
"What do you have in the bag?" Tony asks.
"Snacks." You say.
"That it?" He asks, crossing his arms.
"Dad," you warned.
"Go on, tell me."
"Okay fine." You grab the bag and give it to him. "Here. Have a look." You say. He pours out the contents of the bag and his eyes go wide.
"TROJAN Magnum Large Size Condoms For Comfort And Sensitivity, 36 Count?? 36?? LARGE? Oh my god. I was just going to give you a hard time but now all I can picture are things I never EVER want to see." He groans. You stifle a laugh and Nat snorts, then whistles making Peter blush.
"At least you know we are using protection. And I'm on birth control. So if I were to, uh, you know, get pregnant, it would just be the world telling me to fuck off." You shrug.
"One, I would just like to say, language. Two, you guys are way too young to be engaging in, uh coitus." Steve says this time you let the laugh fall through your lips.
"Just say sex, Steve." Nat laughs.
"Everyone has sex. Well, maybe not Sam-" you start
“What is with everyone teaming up on me? I get laid." Sam aggressively crosses his arms.
"Mhmm sure ya do Sam. Anyways, back to what I was saying. You and Pepper were the ones to put me on it when I was 16 in the first place." you say.
"Well, I didn't want that Brad guy getting you pregnant." You basically gag.
"Wait you told me that you and Brad didn't do anything. That I was your, you know, first." He mumbles the last word, and you look over to him.
"Over my dead body, would I EVER let him touch me like that. Gonna make me throw up my lunch Parker." You walk around our dad to Peter and give him a brisk kiss. "I love you." You whisper in his ear. He smiles. "Well, I'm staving. Where did you say my food was Pete?"
"In the fridge, it has your name on it." He smiles and you walk away, with your bags.
"What- WHat? Just like that? She walks out? She isn't in trouble for being in the sheets with Spider-boy over there?" Sam throws his hands up in the air.
"Shut up Pigeon." They hear you call from the hall. Your dad can't help but laugh.
"Well, she's 100% your daughter." Natasha chuckles, not looking up from her magazine.
Your phone dings twice. One text from Peter and one from your dad.
Baby Boy❤️: Im surprised your dad didn’t kill me.
Me: eh, he loves you too much.
—————
Man Of Iron: Remember kid, I only have three rules. 1 NEVER while I am in the house. 2 Always be safe. 3 you can always come to me or Pepper (preferably Pepper) if you need to talk about that stuff.
Me: Thanks dad, I love you.
Man Of Iron: I love you too lady bug

With a smile, you close your phone and grab your food out of the fridge.

Sitting atop a building that had become familiar to him in the last four months, his hands freezing despite the built-in heater that Tony had created in his suit, all he wanted was to shove his hands in pockets or mittens because God, New York was so cold this winter.
It wasn't snowing, not yet, but it would probably be within the next few hours. Everyone walking about below him was bundled up, making him think that maybe next time he would wear that Spider-Man sweater Ned had given him as a joke, over his suit. After all, heroes had to stay warm too, didn't they?
He shifted slightly on the ledge, trying to remain a bit hidden but also stay out enough so he could watch the front door of the apartment building across from him. For the last couple months he had kept up this routine, at eight pm every night. He felt ridiculous about it, but it wasn't like he could stop himself from pausing his rounds to sit on this ledge and wait. He never had that kind of self-control.
Right on cue, you came out into the open, your apartment door slamming as you rushed to lock it behind you. Peter felt relief, and the usual stab of pain in his gut, when he saw you shove a hat over your head and glare at the sky. He chuckled lightly at your expression, knowing how much you hated the cold, but loved the snow - ironically.
As you began walking down the street, pulling on mittens and biting your lip in concentration as you struggled to get them on your freezing fingers, he stood up and followed, rubbing his hands together for a bit of warmth.
He swore to himself every night it wasn't creepy that he followed you. Okay, maybe a little, but he couldn't help it. You worked a night shift at a local 24-hour cafe, something he protested against when you two were dating, and he didn't like the idea of it any more now.
Peter just wanted to make sure you were safe. He was doing his job - you were a citizen, he was the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, it would be messed up if he didn't make sure you got to work safely.
His eyes were on you as you finally got your gloves on, shifting your purse and walking with a bit of a quicker pace. He remembered how paranoid you got about walking alone, and he knew you had a right to be - how many people had he saved from muggings in random alley ways?
It had been four months since you ended things, but it still made his heart hurt to see you. He didn't see you any other time, because when you left, you had no reason to visit his side of Queens. You went to a college in a different borough, and you only lived and worked here. Peter lived on the other side of town.
Maybe, he always thought, that was why you waited until graduation to break up. He knew he was hurting you by always skipping dates, or being extremely late, or not telling you the reasons for his tiredness and bruises. If you had dumped him while you were still seniors, you still would've had to see each other every day.
He hated himself for doing that to you, but ever since May and Ned found out about Spider-Man, his life had gotten so much more complicated. He realized things that he hadn't considered before - they were in danger now because of him. They had knowledge of who Spider-Man was, and if that ever got out, it could get them hurt, or worse. He couldn't take back the fact that they knew, but hell if he wouldn't try to keep it from you. You were such an important person in his life, and if endangered you for something like this, he would never forgive himself.
When you turned a corner, he shot a web at the adjacent building and swung off, following. He didn't mind if anyone else saw him, but he would rather not have you see him. Of course, you didn't know it was him, but he also didn't want to freak you out if you realized Spider-Man had been stalking you for the last few months.
He landed on the side of the building, climbing up easily and perching on the ledge, watching with relief as you made it into your cafe, the sound of the bell ringing reaching his ears, something that he never would've been able to hear had it happened prior to the spider bite.
Waiting a few seconds before he hopped off the building, he knew you would be safe while he did the rest of his rounds before returning back here to see you home safely.
It was two am when your shift ended (Peter had no idea why you decided to take that time, since you loved sleeping early) and he was waiting once again on a building rooftop where he could see you clearly.
This time, he noticed what you were wearing, and his chest tightened when he noticed the familiar grey sweatshirt that was a bit too big, rolled up once at the sleeves and hanging loosely over your work uniform. His breath caught when you shoved your hands into the pockets, a small smile on your face before you continued on your way home.
You still wore his sweatshirt. It was his favourite on you - in fact, he had given it to you to keep, even though he liked it so much, just because you loved it more. Seeing you in that piece of his clothing was the final breaking point for him.
Before he knew what he was doing, he dropped down in front of you, making you jump back a bit. His brain screamed at him to stop before he did something stupid, but you relaxed with a sigh, a small smile on your lips when you realized who it was.
"I was wondering when you were gonna approach me," you laughed lightly, causing him to frown behind the mask. His head tilted to the side slightly.
"What?" He asked, not bothering to cover up his voice at all. He didn't think that you might recognize it, and if you did, he wasn't sure he cared anymore. He just needed to talk to you before he went crazy.
"You've been following me," you said flatly, your voice not carrying any hint of accusation or fear or anger like he might've expected. His eyebrows raised in shock, his thoughts jumbled as he tried to form a sentence, or an excuse, anything.
"Whaaaaat?" He asked, laughing lightly, "Ma'am, I think you're mistaken-"
"I'm not stupid," you ran a hand through your hair, and he realized you didn't have the hat this time. "I've seen you, you aren't as stealthy as you think."
"Oh," he scratched the back of his neck, not sure what to say. He thought he had been pretty good about not being seen, but he should've known you would realize, since you were pretty perceptive that way.
"What made you decide to drop down and finally say hey?" You questioned teasingly. Peter was surprised he hadn't broken down yet - he hadn't been this close to you, or talked to you in so long, it was causing his head to start hurting.
"I-I um, thought I'd, offer to walk you home. It's pretty late."
You bit your lip, "I'd like that. Thanks."
"Of course, it's kinda my job," he gained a bit more confidence, grinning when you chuckled and rolled your eyes, walking next to him.
"Your job, huh? Does someone pay you?" You asked, making him laugh and shake his head.
"Nope," he sighed, "I get paid in churros sometimes, though."
You gave him a weird look, making him laugh again, "Helped an old lady with directions, she bought me a churro. Pretty good pay if you ask me."
You snickered, "Spider-Man's got a sweet tooth. Who knew."
He shrugged, "Who doesn't have a sweet tooth?"
"Touché," you crossed your arms, trying to get more warm, even though your ex-boyfriends sweatshirt was comfy.
In all honesty, you don't know why you still had it, much less why you still wore it. It certainly didn't help you move on, and since you ended things in the first place, it wasn't right of you to keep it. But you missed Peter so much, especially on cold days like this, and this sweater was one of the last things you had to remind you of him.
"You alright?" The soft voice broke you out of your thoughts, and you glanced at Spider-Man's mask.
"Hm, yeah," you answered, "Just had a long shift, and I zone out sometimes."
"How come you chose a night shift?" He asked curiously, which caused you to eye him, but he didn't seem to notice.
"Um, it was just more convenient. I go to school, when I get back I do my homework, and then I go to work. It's a good system."
"Yeah, good except that you walk alone at the worst possible times," he pointed out, making you shake your head.
"You sound like my ex," you rolled your eyes, not seeing him tense. "But I can handle myself. Plus, I heard there's this superhero guy that watches out for Queens."
You said the last part teasingly, making him laugh despite your earlier sentence. Now it was his turn to roll his eyes at you.
For the rest of the walk, you noticed things about Spider-Man that reminded you way too much of Peter. Enough to make it more than just a coincidence that he scratched his neck the same way, or moved his hands in gestures just like your ex did. The thing that really gave it away was his voice, because even though you hadn't heard it in months, the more the hero talked, the more you became sure it was him.
When you reached the door to your apartment, your heart was racing. You missed Peter so much and never felt enough closure with the break-up, and if this was really him, you might have answers to the unanswered questions. And maybe you wanted to see his face again, even if you would break down later because of it.
"Night, Peter," you said softly, eyeing him to see if he would catch what you just said.
"Night, Y/N," he said back quietly, and you could hear the small smile in his voice. Your chest tightened when he responded, confirming your suspicions.
You stared at him, waiting for him to catch on. Even though he was a genius, the boy could be kinda dense sometimes.
"Oh shit," he finally blurted, making you want to burst into laughter, but you managed to keep a straight face.
"You've never been very good at keeping secrets," you said quietly, a sad smile on your lips.
He carefully pulled his mask off, since no one in their right mind was up and around you two right now. Your breath caught when you saw his face for the first time in so long - the brown eyes you would always get lost in, the curls you used to love to run your fingers through. His slightly chapped lips that reminded you of memories too painful to think about. Of course, you noticed the other things - the bags under his eyes and the bruise on his cheeks, things that drove you crazy not to know the cause of.
And now you did.
"Y/N," his lips formed around you name as though it held such importance, and you shut your eyes for a moment and took a breath. He didn't say anything else, so you decided to talk.
"Peter," you replied after a moment of silence, meeting his gaze again, "Why have you been keeping an eye on me for four months?"
"You know why," he said instantly, making you bite your lip.
"Why didn't you just tell me you were Spider-Man?" This time you said it in a whisper, even though no one was around. The idea that he didn't trust you with this secret hurt, and it felt like your heart was breaking all over again.
He hesitated, fiddling with his fingers and biting his lip, avoiding your sharp gaze. "You know I couldn't let anything happen to you, Y/N. If you were kept in the dark, it would be safer."
You scoffed, making him meet your eyes again. "That is the lamest thing I've ever heard."
He knit his eyebrows, "Your safety is the most important-"
"Peter," you interrupted, "Me knowing you were Spider-Man would have made me more safe. If I was in danger, I could have called you-"
"But people could have found out!" He interrupted you this time, running a hand through his hair and tugging at the strands a bit, his voice cracking once from the stress of the conversation. "If you knew, and someone knew that you knew, they could've hurt you to get to me, to find out my secret. I didn't want to tell anyone for this exact reason, especially not you. Sweetheart, if anything happened to you, I don't know what I would do with myself."
You stared at him for a moment, your eyes a bit wide at his outburst. The last time you saw him get this emotional was when you left, and the memory caused your fists to tighten, hating yourself more for doing that to him.
"You still have that sweatshirt," he pointed out, desperate to change the subject, even though he wasn't getting far from the topic. He said it before he could realize how dumb it was to, but luckily you didn't seem upset by it.
"It's a really comfy sweater," you said with a shaky laugh, easing the tension only a bit, "But...that's not why I kept it."
His eyes met yours, which had started tearing up a bit.
"Why did you keep it?" he asked in a quiet tone, one that you wouldn't have heard if it hadn't been so quiet aside from the snow starting to fall and the occasional car driving on the other side of the building, far from you both.
"You know why," you repeated his words from earlier, your voice catching a bit at the end. It seemed he got what you were saying, since you both meant the same thing when you said the words to each other.
He stepped closer to you hesitantly, one of his hands still gripping his mask tightly. His other one reached upwards to cup your rosy cheek, the contact making his heart race and fingers tremble slightly, because God, it had been so long since he'd touched you.
Your eyes shut and you leaned into his gloved palm, your other hand coming up to cover his hand and holding it tightly, afraid he'd let go and remember how much you had hurt him all those months ago and leave.
"I still love you," he finally managed to say, causing you to open your eyes to look at him, seeing the adoration in his eyes as he smiled softly at you, his thumb brushing along you cheek.
"Even though I hurt you?" You asked shakily, to which he nodded, leaning forward to press his forehead against yours.
"I deserved it," he chuckled, interrupting before you could protest. "You probably thought I was in a secret fight club or something. I should've been more honest and told you from the beginning, but I was too scared. I'm the one that hurt you."
"First rule of fight club - don't talk about fight club," you said jokingly, causing him to laugh and get those crinkles by his eyes that you loved so much.
"I love you," you smiled after a moment, causing his gaze to meet your again, his eyes hopeful. "I never stopped. Clearly, I have a hard time moving on."
You gestured to his sweatshirt, making him grin again, before he leaned forward to press his lips against yours for the first time in what felt like forever.
Your hands went to cup the back of his neck while you tried not to smile into the kiss, only pulling him closer and wishing this moment didn't end, because it was all you had been dreaming of ever since you stepped out of his apartment.
His hands were now tangled in your hair, his mask discarded on the ground as he held you as close as possible, not thinking of anything but the feeling of you finally held against him again. When you had to pull back for air, he let out a shaky laugh, causing you to smile a little breathlessly and give him a weird look.
"I can't believe it was this stupid sweatshirt that finally gave me the guts to jump down and talk to you," he explained, tugging the strings a bit.
"Well, I'm glad it did," you replied, pulling him in for another kiss as the snow fell more heavily around you both, and despite the cold, you hadn't felt this warm in a long time.
