I'm seeing a lot of "Kaeya doesn't care for Khaenri'ah" for a while now in various socmed but like... this is the same dude that:
1. kept a portion of his father's notes about his clan when it was supposed to be burned
2. tested out the waters with Venti/Barbatos by putting a threat/warning in a letter
3. technically tried to run away from Dawn Winery to be able to go to Sumeru to learn more about Khaenri'ah when he was a kid
4. has his play performance imply that he is annoyed/mad about his birth father's actions BUT would like to keep both enemy and home nations safe and at peace
5. Avoids elaborating on Khaenri'ah but unafraid to say that that is his ancestry (in fact, he uses it to his benefit)
6. chose to keep using "Alberich" as a surname (he had his chances to change it, and no one could call him out, and yet he kept it? Again, what for?)
7. is torn with the idea of duty to his home nation and the love that Mond gave to him (character stories)
tbh I think Kaeya still cares for Khaenri'ah (whether it is because of his father's orders, or his own heart yearning for what could have been, or that he simply and genuinely loves his heritage). We still have Mona's voiceline saying that he has to make a choice someday, so clearly something is eating up his mind.
What I do theorize Kaeya is trying to do is to look for a different solution where he doesn't have to choose between Khaenri'ah and Mondstadt. That's what his Veluriyam Mirage vision is for- a mixture of the star of Khaenri'ah and the vision case of Mondstadt. In a realm where your dreams could be a reality, he decided to give himself both.
And honestly, could he possibly have both someday? Or does he need to realize that he can only have one?

"batman is morally grey" HE'S LITERALLY THE SYMBOL OF HOPE IN GOTHAM AND THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST ALL THE CORRUPTION IN THE CITY.
If he's gone Gotham literally lost their hope and gets even worse.
The guy doesn't kill, he thinks guns are the cowards weapons, he supports rehabilitation of criminals (all in canon btw) he's not morally grey.
Btw love this scene from the movie because it's basically a visual metaphor of what batman is, THE LIGHT IN THE DARK GUIDING THE CITIZENS OF GOTHAM TO SAFETY.
Tumblr media
"oh but he's a billionaire that can do more" AND HE DOES, he put so much of his money to help Gotham with multiple projects that he's literally a target of so many corrupt groups. He literally dismantle a criminal organization by giving actual jobs to the members of It. Every time something big destroys part of Gotham he gives money to help the people affected.

don't use "ftm" it's outdated and offensive. it implies that the trans person was their agab, which we never were. i was always a boy, never a girl who became a boy.
i'm 35 years old. i've been IDing as trans or something similar to trans for nearly 20 years. i was probably calling myself FTM while you were playing tag during recess, anon.
i WAS a girl. i IDed as a girl early in my life. i recognized myself as a girl, called myself a girl, lived as a girl, and was a girl. who then IDed as a man. hence, F t M.
spend more time worrying about yourself instead of strangers on the internet, anon.
sorry not sorry if this comes off as needlessly hostile, but i've been getting a lot of shit from a lot of teenage trans kids about the language i use to describe my own goddamn experience, and i'm growing real fuckin weary of it.
i have elder trans friends who call themselves transsexuals and transvestites and trannies. are you going to seriously go to a 60-year-old trans person who survived the reagan years and tell her she's not allowed to use certain language to describe herself because it might offend the delicate sensibilities of some teenager on the internet?
do yourself a favor and log off, find some real-life trans people who are over the age of 20 or 25, and spend time talking to them instead of getting all holier-than-thou at random strangers on tumblr.

Painting "gifted kid discourse" as "smart kids vs disabled kids" is particularly annoying considering how many former gifted kids have been abused and denied diagnosis for debilitating conditions because "they're smart, they can't possibly have that."
When it comes down to it, the real struggle isn't "gifted kids vs non-gifted kids," it's "kids being abused by the system in a multitude of different ways, ALL of which are bad."

And honestly? This is what makes "The guy who didn't like musicals" and "Black Friday" great horror stories.
They're mostly comedies, but they have this underlying tension about something thay shouldn't be horrifying, being horrifying (musicals, a stuffed animal)
It's even aknowledged in TGWDLM. When Paul first proposes to Emma the idea of they being stuck in a musical she laught it off and he claims for her to consider the implications. Later in the musicam she is horrified and says "she didn't consider the implications".
So yeah, the idea of everyone waking up tomorrow and starting to sing out of nowhere? TERRIFYING
The idea of a monster being hidden in something as harmless as a stuffed animal? TERRIBLE
And that's why it workd
a horror film not being scary isnt a bad thing. horror is supposed to HORRIFY, and conflating it with this obsession with scares has really messed with the genre imo. its why so many films are ineffective with audiences, because they leave no lasting impression due to the fact that filmmakers are focusing so muchon trying to scare you and not actually exploring things that deeply unsettle us.

Not only we don't talk about bruno
But the entire sequence at the dinner table at Isabela's proposal
Until it reaches Julieta, it's only the warm colored madrigals talking about it.
Dolores to Camilo, Camilo to Felix, Felix to Pepa and then Pepa to Julieta.
The warm color family is a bunch of gossips
And they have the child that hears everything.
Good for them
"we don't talk about bruno" is 100% confirmation that warm colored madrigals gossip

I feel like the conversation around "cancel culture" is inherently disingenuous because half the people in it are defining cancel culture as "experiencing consequences for shitty actions" and the other half are defining it as "online spaces dogpiling people for vague hearsay of a vaguely problematic thing they may or may not have actually done fifteen years ago, and may have been entirely made up by people who have personal beef with them." One is good. One is very bad. But they both get referred to by the same term, and that's...an issue.
Like, if I hear somebody complaining about "cancel culture," what do they mean? Did they say something racist and get called out for it, or are they being smeared and called an abuser by a bunch of te/rfs because they participate in BDSM, and nobody bothered to fact check it before hurling around really serious accusations?

Bitty has a tik tok and films a video with the castaway audio.
Jack immediately gets war flashbacks.
AU where Jack, as a youth, briefly bopped around showbiz under a stagename so he could actually try it without getting cast just because of his name and he was really drawn to voice acting because people know his family and his face but they don’t know how he sounds and then y’know hockey took over
I guess what I’m trying to say here is that Jack is the singing voice of one of the Backyardigans and the only other person who knows is Holster because he was ALSO a voice actor for the Backyardigans as a youth (he’s specifically responsible for the he UGH. You know the one) and they have a tense but deeply serious pact to never ever ever ever ever talk about it
