The idea that consuming violent fictional content makes you violent is so absurd to me

Like I unironically read some pretty horrific stuff for funzies. Like full on torture scenes. Lots of people dying, loss of limbs, characters pleading for mercy and not getting it. I get a kick out of it.

However, I'm also the kind of person who let a raccoon live in my attic for two years because I felt guilty about kicking it out.

Maybe being aware of the horrors of the world teaches you to take action to prevent them.

I Am So Deserving Of A Soft Space

I am so deserving of a soft space. I give myself permission to raise my standards when it comes to the people I allow into my life, that I allow to interact with me. I am deserving of feeling seen, of having people that are soft, gentle and kind with me. I am deserving of having people that are curious about me.

I am deserving of having people in my life that are curious, lovingly curious about me...who want to show up for me in ways that are gentle and soft and kind and understanding. People who are not going to gaslight me, bully me or make me feel like my experience is without value. I deserve to be in a space where I don't have to run through a scenario 5,000 times before expressing it, for fear of being shut down.

I deserve grace. I deserve grace. I deserve grace.

I deserve the grace that I extend to others.

I deserve to feel safe. I deserve to feel heard. I deserve to feel seen. I deserve to not feel stupid or confused or wrong all the time, just because I'm struggling to express myself. Just because I have struggled to be vulnerable doesn't mean I deserve punishment. Just because I don't show up perfectly today doesn't mean I deserve punishment. I deserve energy that is gentle with me, that communicates with me, not the one that goes away for hours leaving me in the dark, nor the one that combats at me. I deserve to be in a space where I can earn money in a way that allows me to create with joy and intention, to be used in a way that people recognize my talents and want to embrace them & expound upon them. I deserve to be in a relationship where I can easily be myself, where I can easily express my feelings and be myself and know that it's not going to be thrown back at me.

I surrender. Universe, make me a reciprocal to my desires.

The reasons why people like doja and kim k are so successful is bc they compromise and are willing to be "unselfish"/adaptable to get ahead. They both have-

It's crazy to me that they have all these signs near the same degrees, they have a lot in common. This combination of signs would describe someone who is hungry for loyalty, power, security/stability, money, popularity, love and also enjoys being useful to a sacrificial extent.

-in their charts. It's like they're chameleons, able to blend in, be cordial, people please. If they didn't have those qualities and were selfish, stubborn, closed minded, they wouldn't be where they are.

People pleasing and trying to cater to others needs can get you very far but it won't be fulfilling bc what you're doing is abandoning your own wants/needs for the sake of being easily accepted/digested.

But my point is, the more people can manipulate, shape/mold you, determines how much you'll be liked esp in a place like hollywood where there's a bunch of selfish "diva" types. They need/want more impressionable, flexible people. Not just in Hollywood but everywhere.

The harder you are to work with the less people want you around them. So some people will really sell themselves out to be on top. They end up canceling out their own individuality, to be someone else's muse/project.

It's def not a bad thing to be open minded though, if you wanna be more successful than learn how to make yourself useful to others. It's smart to be thoughtful and considerant, rather than selfish, and ignorant.. you make more connections by being socially aware, adaptable, friendly/charming than you do when you're only looking out for yourself.
