it's about time i officially shared my design for Clip from my hairdresser au! here's the silly boi himself!

a.k.a. the most complicated character i've ever designed...

that's my boi, despite his crazy design, i love him. his silly top knot hat, the horn-like points around his faceplate, his speckled colours, his four arms, and his funky pants. he's just soooooo fun.

Clip likes to play games and knit! he even made the patchwork pants he wears (he made Sun and Moon a pair too, but they're too precious for them to wear... also a little gaudy to wear in public—doesn't stop Clip tho!). He actually makes everything the boys wear, since there's not a lot of things in their size/shape.

instead of resting at night, he can be found in their living room, playing Kirby 64 for the nth time and/or knitting something. he's just too restless to stay still, he's always gotta be doing something and if it isn't gaming, knitting, or hairdressing, then he's up to No GoodTM.

Clip... likes popping balloons. he says "Goodnight!" with each popped balloon and once he's done, he tosses up the scraps like confetti all while giggling joyfully.

needless to say, he is not fun at parties. Sun and Moon don't let him near balloons for this reason.

and yes, he has sewing needles on hand at all times. for fashion emergencies... and for unsuspecting balloons.

Clip's not allowed to have a phone (just imagine all the in-app purchases Sun and Moon would have to deal with), but he likes to keep up with his customers and their games, even if he doesn't get their fixation over bluenets he'll never openly admit it but he prefers curly-haired blond hunks that look sweet in soft pastels but could also squash him like the spider he is

also, he's great at microbraiding! though i imagine if Sun and Moon are free, they'd come help to shorten the wait but also to compete and see who braids the most (Clip always wins of course—make anything into a game, and he's winning)

aaaaand there's this! i wanted to make sure Clip would be able to freely rotate his waist so his arms could have their full range of motion, and this was the solution i came up with: a crop top on top and a wrap around his waist. and Clip here is being a sneaky little scamp about it.

backtracking to 2 weeks ago in Titans #6 for a sec when Dick expressed how he wanted to look for Damian - it was nice to get a nod of Dick being concerned, but i was a bit bummed he didn't start a search. and i get it, the world needs saving, Dick's gotta do what he has to!!

different writer/story, but this line popped into my head the moment Babs said Earth needs the Titans

Damian means the world to Dick!! the Titans can take care of the literal world without him for a bit!!

but ykw it's fine since this issue proved me wrong, and Dick looks for Damian anyway!! 😭 basically "the world's still in danger but my brother needs me right now" this was just the start of the issue and i fell to my knees THEY BOTH REALLY DROPPED EVERYTHING FOR DAMIAN

the part where they plan to wait out Damian's match was so funny to me because Dick keeps repeating to Jon that they shouldn't engage, but then Dick just goes "NEVERMIND i'm going in" 😭 he couldn't stand watching Damian be hurt anymore i'm weeping

with context this is actually so sad for Damian orz otherwise i just wanted to say i love these drawings!! it's just a really cool page to me - i love the posing, especially in the hands/claws!! the intense expressions!! also so efficient in showing how the match escalates with Damian quickly overpowering Gail (along with seeing Jon's dread 🙁)

not sure if it's intentional, but Dick's speech to Damian in B:WFA ep 113 is kinda brought to canon here through both Dick and Jon

this was a sleep deprived reactionary rambling, so not much thought is left in my head lol i was hoping for some cute cat Damian shenanigans, but i'll happily take Dick and Jon being protective over Damian! 🥺

I must know, for purely scientific reasons, does Blade blush?

Speaking in a purely physical sense, no, he does not! He has an expression that you can read as his "blushing" (read: it's a scowl) but he doesn't display any actual redness or flushing! Maybe around his ears, but even that's a stretch, I don't recall ever describing him doing this in past writing! I could just see it, but I can't say it's canonical! 😅The people we know to actually physically blush are Trouble, Shery, and Briony; Red gets a flush up his neck, but I don't know if you count that as a full on "blush" or not; I think Riel and maybe Lavinet are probably physically capable of it, but rarely do so because of their control over their physical reactions and emotions.

In January, I had a mental breakdown and lost my shit about how I felt like I didn’t have enough time for me, all my energy goes to other people, and my head is spinning 24/7. I wasn’t sleeping through the night and if I did fall asleep, I was awoken by night terrors.

I’m not one for self help books, despite my love of reading. I think they’re cheesy and all the same “lalala bullshit” of meditate! Eat well! Wake early! Gratitude! But thiiiiis book 360-ed my mind on self help books.

This author approaches anxiety and overthinking in a realistic way to stop the overthinking with positive changes. The tips and tricks to come back from reality and out of your mind are actually usable in the day to day life, even when I’m working with customers. My therapist always suggests yoga or mediation and it makes me want to scream because it never is plausible in the moment of when I’m having panic attacks or I’m stuck in my head.

This book will be a tool I will probably always open when I’m struggling in the future. The way it actually HELPED and has brought me some calmness in my mind makes me want to stand on a street corner and preach about this book. I know it’s only been a month since I lost it, but I can already feel a lightness coming over me after reading this. I feel more in control over my mind and how I react. Now it is up to ME to utilize these tools and act on the want and need of change. Highly recommend for anyone who is stuck in their head or feels like they’re not living in reality.
