“NO FUCKING WAY,” are the first words you’re met with as billy wearily opens the door you pounded on just moments ago. his expression, once groggy and obviously sleep-ridden, now wide awake at the sight of you.

“well, are you going to let me in, cowboy, or are you gonna leave me out here in the snow?” you tease, nose a dusty shade of maroon, bitten with the brutal winters cold, and billy cannot believe his eyes.

If there was one thing Steve still wasn’t used to after the serum, it was that women wanted to date him. It was strange even after he was taken out of the ice that people actively sought out his company when they used to overlook him. Bucky no longer had to convince his dates to bring along another girl for him. And Natasha, of course, did her best to set him up with a few different women.

He relented when he realized she wasn’t going to stop.

The other dates he had been on had initial awkwardness in the beginning, but he felt none of that when he held out his hand for you. Even through the fabric, he felt electricity crackle between the two of you. Like a natural fit.

“Now, I should warn you,” you began as he led you out of the apartment building. “I kind of deviated away a bit from the normal first date dinner."

“I’m sure whatever you have set up is going to be amazing,” he smiled, giving your hand a small squeeze.

“Thank you,” you smiled. “I wanted to make it something to remember.”

“If I were a better gentleman, I would’ve been the one to plan this.”

“You think I’d make you plan your first date since you’ve been unfrozen?” you asked incredulously as you began to walk again. “Never.”

Steve opened his mouth and closed it just as quickly as you pulled him along the sidewalk. He didn’t have the heart to tell you this wasn’t his first date. Not when you looked so happy.

“Here it is!” you grinned.

A large horse and carriage stood by the curb with a coachman who tipped his hat. The red plush bench had a blanket for extra warmth and Steve noticed a small table with two drinks and a large box across from where they’d sit. He could smell the pizza from where he stood.

It was from his favorite restaurant.

“I thought we could have pizza and drinks while we looked at lights around the city. And there’s a bakery stop along the way so we can have dessert,” you explained as you approached the carriage. “I figured this would give us a chance to talk and see how beautiful our home looks when we’re not fighting to keep it safe.”

Steve didn’t get in right away as his eyes met yours, memorizing how beautiful you looked under the city lights. You held your breath as he stepped closer. He knew you put a lot of thought into this evening. That alone made him feel special.

"But if you hate it, I can-"

“This is incredible,” he said as you breathed a sigh of relief.

“Really? Because your silence made me a little nervous,” you giggled.

Steve held up a hand to stop the coachman from helping you in, wanting to do it himself. “I'm sorry. I’m told I can be a bit stoic,” he joked, settling into the carriage beside you once you got comfortable.

“Didn’t I tell you? This is a stoic free carriage,” you teased.

"If anyone can make me smile, it's you."

He hoped that didn't sound cheesy.

"I like making you smile," you said as the carriage began to move.

The two of you traded stories as you ate and rode through the city. The lights brought warmth to the night sky, but he found himself staring at you more than the scenery. By the time you finished eating the pizza and stopped for warm, freshly baked cookies, he had his arm around you and the blanket over both of your legs.

"So, is this how you pictured your first date?"

"No, I didn't. This is even better," he smiled, brushing a bit of chocolate from the corner of your mouth away with his thumb.

"It is?" you asked, your voice soft as he brought his thumb to his mouth.

"It is," he said, unaware of how enticing he looked as he licked it clean. He bet you tasted just as sweet. "I wish Natasha had set you up with me first."

The longing in your eyes shifted to confusion. "First? What do you mean?" you asked before you nodded in understanding. "I'm not your first date, am I?"

Steve briefly closed his eyes. Shit. He didn't mean to say that. He was a terrible liar though, so he knew he couldn't come up with an excuse.

"No," he said.

"I'm so sorry," you said, picking a bit at the blanket and avoiding his gaze. "That was a really dumb assumption on my part."

"It wasn't dumb," he promised. "I don't exactly go around broadcasting my personal life."

That happened to him enough while he was under the ice and you wouldn't have known.

"It was dumb, but thank you."

He didn't want you to feel bad or embarrassed. "Look at me, please."

It took a moment, but you slowly turned your head toward him. He wanted to kiss the uncertain expression off your face. Leaning in, that's exactly what he did. The brush of his lips against yours was soft and full of promise.

Perfect.

"This is the best date I've ever had," he whispered.

"Our date isn't over yet," you smiled when he leaned in for another kiss.

Joe Burrow x Fem!reader

Lil thing I thought of when I seen this picture, pure fluff, no smut.

You were herding cattle on your 30 acre ranch in western Ohio with your boyfriend Joe. He was a simple guy and never wanted anything too huge and extravagant. But you were adamant about buying this property and raising black angus steers.

You rode your prize barrel racing horse, Comanche, and he rode your favorite paint mare, Euro. He looked around admiring the lush landscape ahead.

While you were ogling at Joe, one of the calves ran into the woods behind your house. You and Comanche took off like lightning to catch that steer.

Joe pulled Euro to a halt and watched as his girlfriend chased a wayward calf all through the grass. He could help but laugh as you roped the calf and trudged back to him

"What're you laughing at?" You asked playfully.

Joe continued to laugh more at the way your southern accent altered your voice.

"Nothing, just watching my girl chase after our next meal."

You laughed and punched him in the arm and pulled the calf behind you.

It was getting late and as you herded the last steer into the sorting pen, you heard Joe sigh beside you.

"Finally, there all rounded up."

"Not all of them." You said feeling high spirited.

And just like that you took off on Comanche yet again, Joe trailing behind on Euro.

Joe grabbed his lasso and whirled it around above him, attempting to get it over Comanche and pull you to a halt.

He tried relentlessly, but Comanche knew how to duck and weave anything being thrown near him. Being a champion barrel horse came with it's perks.

Finally you stopped Comanche like you were reigning, as he dug his back legs into the ground, Euro didn't quite get the message to stop and kept running.

You laughed at the way Joe tried to get her to turn around. As he walked back to you, he hung his head in embarrassment.

"Oh Joey, looks like this one got away." You said as you hopped off Comanche's back.

"Yeah but guess they aren't all meant to be caught, some are meant to be wild." He said as he jumped off Euro before waltzing over to you to plant a kiss to your forehead.

You walked with him to the stable and took the saddle off Comanche and gave him some extra hay and water.

Joe finished brushing down Euro and put her back into her stall. He walked over to you after he seen you struggling to get the heavy western saddle back up on the high rack.

As you were walking back to the house you stopped in your tracks. Joe turned to look at you and noticed you were a couple feet behind him.

"Are you okay?" He asked, a worried expression plastered on his face.

You just looked at him and took off running behind you, looking back to see of Joe was following.

His long legs caught up to you quickly, his strong arms grabbed your waist as he gently tackled you to the soft grass.

You both started laughing immediately as you laid on his chest, looking at the stars. He wrapped his arms around you and held you as tight as he could without hurting you.

"Did I ever tell you how much I love you Joey?"

"Everyday sweetheart, but I will never get tired of it."

He kissed your head once more before sitting up and carrying you to the house.

OH GODS THAT IS AN EXCELLENT ASK

Blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)

Zagreus. Oh my god, Zagreus. My favourite video game protagonist hands down.

Many of my Felix mutuals like to joke that he would never play video games because of the whole “controlling a character” bit, but I’m here to tell you: he would play Hades, in fact he did play Hades while watching his father slowly die in the hospital, delivering the final blow without breaking eye contact Every. Single. Time.

And of course, he developed the biggest crush on Zagreus.

Zagreus spent his entire life (potentially centuries?) enduring the most horrifying abuse and then just. Woke up one day and decided he had had enough. He dies again and again and and again, always respawning in the very same prison he grew up in no matter what, but he does not let it get to him; instead, he picks himself up and tries again, just for a chance to catch a glimpse of the sun. Not taking any bullshit from anyone, but remaining kind and soft through his entire ordeal.

A model and an inspiration to us all. ❤️🩸

When I saw her eyes, I cried. Because one of the first things Zag asked Hades upon learning the truth about his parentage was wether or not he had any siblings. If there was someone like him, out there, going through similar hardships.

I was so happy for him I did not immediately realise that meant we would get a hella sapphic game. 🧡🌙

✨How did you come up with the OC’s name?

Since Blaze & Marine have very on-the-nose names based on their powers I wanted a similar kind of name for her. So I thought of a bunch of earth-related names that I thought were cute, Quake I was on the fence about but after talking with some friends (shout-out to the bumblekast server) who liked it I started warming up to it too.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

Late teen/young adult. Older than Blaze

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

Not currently.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?

Anything Lychee flavored. Tropical fruits are always a hit in general. Never eats meat.

💼 - What do they do for a living?

A traveling oracle, she can pick up vibes and premonitions from certain gemstones or rock formations. People seek out her help for advice or if there’s land that needs excavating

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

At her core Quake is just a big rock nerd. She likes learning and going to museums if there's any kind of exhibit about geology

Also all her jewelry is handmade so she's good at metal craft, all her rings are melted down ores & metals she's collected. There's a story behind each one.

🎯 -What do they do best?

Crush rocks. Look at rock. Know where rock came from.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

She loves to just sit and enjoy her surroundings, no drama, only sitting

She hates shopping for herself. She doesn’t mind it if it’s a gift, but clothes shopping for herself in particular she’s just really uncomfortable with the whole experience (look around, looking at sizes, trying them on, figuring out if she likes it enough to wear more than once, standing in line to buy it. etc. )

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?

I could be cheesy and say when she made friends with Blaze & Marine, but other than that she's always traveling she doesn't usually spend time with other people on her birthday or holidays - but one time a town she was staying at found out and threw her a small surprise party and she still cries when she thinks about it.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

Sometimes picking up & and experiencing the memories of an old rock aren't always pretty. She doesn't like to talk about them.

🧊 - Is their current design the first one?

There’s a few initial sketches I did to get the overall idea going, but currently she’s on her 1st finalized design

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

I like powerhouse ladies and I like plus-sized representation in my favorite media, Blaze currently doesn’t have that in the Sol dimension so I took that as a challenge to see if I could make one. Sega also (currently) isn’t really keen on large mammal designs like elephants or horses, so I wanted to see if I could make a large hooved animal fit into the Sonic template.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in?

I picture her fitting right into a kung-fu movie, as either a wise mentor or the hero's traveling companion, or even a mini boss depending on the situation.

She would hope she fit right into a cozy slice of life drama or a hallmark movie though, but she has too much of a fantasy character presence

💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?

Identifies as a girl, she/her/they pronouns, Ace Lesbian

🙌 - How many siblings does your OC have?

Currently 0. She views Marine as what it would be like to have a little sister though.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Parents? In Sonic’s world? Ha!

Her oracle powers can be traced through her lineage though. I imagine she would view them with respect.

She’s cute and she can punch a rock in half

I also just like gentle giant characters. She's oc comfort food.

✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?

Not as much as I should but I really want to change that, I think there’s so much potential to explore Blaze’s world and it’s just sitting there.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?

Absolutely not. Even if there was a dire situation where death seems like the only way out, I’ve seen enough magical girl baloney to know there’s always another way. Blaze & Marine would snap her out of that “I have to end myself here to save everyone” mentality, but that's the only kind of scenario where I'd even think about that.

Claustrophobia, including feeling closed in by big crowds
