".....You really need to stop. I-I know you said you wanted to be friends, but this is getting out of hand Rook...." Neige's voice shook a bit as he watched the peculiar man. He was perched carefully on his windowsill, his eyes glinting madly in the low light. Rook sighed a bit and stepped into Neige's room, making the poor boy tremble as he backed up towards his bed.

"Rook I'm going to have to call sec-GHHK!" Rook stabbed the knife into Neige's stomach, pushing him back against the bed and making him lay back, covering his mouth. He pulled out the knife and dragged the bloody tip lightly against Neige's face, so as not to damage the skin as he giggled. "Call them. Go ahead and scream Neige. I dare you~" Neige gasped for air as tears rolled down his cheeks, trying to put together some sort of sentence, but failing as a sturdy hand grabbed his cheeks from under his chin. "You know how I feel about you, right Neige? You know how perfect you are, correct?" Neige gave him a weak nod as he sobbed "Please don't hurt me" Rook laughed softly, bringing the knife to his lips and licking it. "No, no no Neige, I'm not hurting you~ you should see the state Vil Schoenheit is in....he's hurting. Which is why I've come here. The little...accident he was involved in....he requires surgical help immediately....and while I could go with anyone else....nobody else has hurt me quite like you Neige. While you are perfect in every way...you still rejected me of your hand in partnership. So I will simply take what I need from you....to give to the man who DOES love me! And happens to be short a couple limbs at the moment. Oh but don't worry Neige. I've tested several other subjects to ensure your beautiful body will take properly to my new love." He leaned in to kiss Neige gently. "But don't worry your pretty little head. It'll all be over soon enough dear~" Neige tried to scream, but he blacked out, only for a moment. When he came to, he was coughing, choking on his own blood as Rook held his severed tongue in his mouth, still giggling. Neige hazily watched as Rook used fishing line to easily slice through his flesh, before everything faded to black. ------------------------------------------------------------

Rook hummed softly to himself as he finished up the job, stuffing the limbs he would use for Vil's body into a bag. He took his time, knowing full well that nobody would notice the beloved popstar was missing until morning. All he would have had to have done to avoid this was said yes, even to just one of the love letters Rook had sent him over the years. But he didn't. But Rook always had backups. He would never tell Vil that though. And now that Vil had "lost" much of his body...and his life, all that was left to do was give Vil the best body Rook could come up with.

I’m boutta hop on the anons submission on the bully AU, when the MC disappears for two weeks and come backs, they’re all like “yeah, I decide to leave for a bit and spend time with my boyfriend at Royal Sword academy. Sorry for the absence, I couldn’t deny his needs.’’ Just for funnies, just to mess with them for a bit. If they go low, MC goes lower.

Also, this bring up the other topic abt bully AU, everyone at NRC is a jackass but what about Che’nya and Neige? I’d like to imagine there just as bad, maybe even worse but they deny those accusations bc they’re supposed to be the “handsome knights that save the princess from the ugly monsters.✨’’ what makes it worse tho compared to NRC is everyone believes them, even the Staff. I mean, why shouldn’t they trust the sweetest most beautiful model in the world and a friendly extroverted cat!

The energy and guts you must have to pull a petty move by disappearing just to hang out with snotty white uniformed men. It hurts their ego so badly killing you may or may have been an accident.

Sometimes they would have to pull some extreme measures. Say if you left the campus with your phone you’ll be easily tracked down. Or maybe someone from the town saw you and ratted you out. What if you didn’t take your phone?; Idia had already placed a microchip inside your flesh. So there’s a possible chance he can hear every conversation you’re having with whoever you’re talking. Talk about controlling your life to a whole new level.

Sass talking is prohibited, but some love it because it gives them a reason to be violent with you. You have no self respect so why are you prancing and buttering up to these white knights? It’s not a fairy tail that five year old you would dream about, so prepared for any misdeeds. And misdeeds they were right.

You won’t be in a good headspace after fleeing to RSA. It’s all made up in your head that these people are good and can help you get away. But their kind smiles don’t reassure you. How tight their grips on your hands and shoulders are as they beg you to stay in RSA. Their behavior is all too similar to how they treated it, making you miss them. Miss that feeling of sadness being washed by their cruel love. Was it even love?

You’ll come crawling back to them in shame, because you couldn’t face Neige’s fake persona, reminding you too much of Vil. It lacked the genuine charm. Or how Goldy used you for things to get out of, Ace and Deuce were already a handful and it made your head explode. Everything will remind you of them, their hands and words were first to corrupt your own.

Think again about leaving, because you won’t anytime soon. After everyone has come to a conclusion that you need a babysitter 24/7….even during night hours. Until they see improvement will they let the freedom of “peace”. Rare but who are you to complain.

Now Malleus and Kalim are going to be clingier than ever, you’ve unlocked a sense of fear—they don’t wish to be abandoned by you, or the thought of you doing so in general. It’s humiliating and not their style, makes them lack control. Luckily they’re really good at deceiving people, but you’re not off the hook for Sebek. All types of names are thrown at you. Dirty, dirty, filthy you. His yelling is enough to make you cry because you’re convinced it’s true! You are dirty!

Jade and Trey are the first to blow a towel over your form, give you a sense of comfort until it’s ripped away. Can’t you how much they love this person? It can be you if you’ve behaved, but you want to wag your tail like a dog and catch a bone with those RSA students. They’ll bring it up every time you argue with them. They’ve been nothing but loyal and doing what’s best for you. So don’t come crying when another person skimpily leaves their room all satisfied.

Do this type of attic with them and it’s over. Complete isolation. No talking to anyone. Hell you’re gonna be trapped in a cell or room for months and months. Only ever seeing them. Just them entering to give you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Leaving without a word. Until you fully understand that speaking with any other person can be the downfall of your social life.

Never ever mention Neige in front of Vil, that’s like a death wish and so so petty move. It hits all the spots including his insecurities and overthinking. He’s done everything to be perfect and you still went to see that twerp!! The audacity!! Swear you’ll be leaving his room all bruised and tired, his magic healing any open wounds but leaving the flesh to swell under your skin. You look awful, ugly even. Epel and Rook will gladly bring you back to Vil if they catch you with Neige or the dwarfs.

Going anywhere under their supervision is impossible, Rook placing his unique magic on you so he knows whether you were lying or not.

My gosh Floyd threatening to break your legs is so silly because he does it on a daily. Stop angering him and maybe it wouldn’t happen (eyeroll emoji..). Even Jamil will break your legs on command, usually he’ll do it when sees fit. Bad dogs get left outside to think about what they’ve done, and yes, they did leave you outside before when it was storming to teach you a lesson.

Thinking bout Azul spewing ink from his lips when angered or stressed out. You’re giving him even whiter hair than he has. Too many people at RSA are pure evil. He doesn’t care about you yet you’re the main problem on why any RSA student can just barge in and ruin everyone’s career. He may be over exaggerating but it’s for a good reason. Azul has made some uh, clients in RSA. He doesn’t wanna ruin it because you can’t seem to keep your emotions in checked, and your legs closed…(omg he didn’t say that stoppp)

Arf arf Leona in his cheating era. What am I saying you guys aren’t even official. No one is. But they still like the thought that you’re basically NRC property until graduation. Even after graduation you’ll be passed like a old toy, forced to be fixed and brought anew until it’s time to switch. Leona is one of the closest people you can go to for comfort, not the best option but not the worst. The reason it’s not the best is his addiction to getting you through jealously. Once Leona understands you have fallen victim to Stockholm syndrome does he bring randoms into his bed. He gives a show of softened you’ll never revive until he’s certain to claim you. But it’ll never happen. Not ever with you.

Hi, I read your monster au posts and they are amazing. Though I was wondering what would Rollo be and how would he handle there being a magicless human given his attitude in canon, as well as how would GloMas go down with Yuu and Mini!Yuu in that au?

So, I’d been holding off on answering this for Rollo until I had a better grasp on his personality and behavior, as deciding the monster/cryptid species that fits best is important. But since the Glorious Masquerade is coming to the ENG servers tomorrow (I’m not ready!!!), it feels like the right time to introduce him into the Monster!AU!

Also, as for whether or not RSA has seen Yuu/mini!Yuu, I think at least Che'nya and Neige and the dwarves have seen them yes! Outside of those, I leave that up to you/whatever direction the game takes us down next! And thank you so much, I'm glad everyone loves the AU's ;;v;;

To answer the question, I decided to base him off the French (and coincidentally Louisiana) cryptid “feu follet”, otherwise known as a Will-o’-the-wisp. Why did I choose this versus creatures like the “Beast of Gévaudan” or the “Gaueco” which will make him a fluffy canine monster? Well, while I think both would be interesting concepts to work with, neither of them really seem to fit the vibe I got from him as he’s portrayed in the beginning (…well, before chaos as usual hits the fan of course). Plus, it was also an interesting excuse to delve into more of the non-animal based ones besides Ortho being a golem!

WARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD AND MENTION OF DEATH BASED ON THE MYTHOLOGY OF THE FEU FOLLET/WILL-O’-THE-WISP!

Anyway, I picture him being more of a feu follet/Will-o’-the-wisp as a call to his UM “Dark Fire” and his last name Flamme, which translates to “flame” in French. Hence, as a “ghost light”, it seemed more fitting! Feu follets are said to come in various shades of blue, yellow, red, and even green—now imagine him changing color based on his emotions and having to control that side in public! His poker face means nothing behind that handkerchief if he turns colors! 😂 (Especially if you keep in mind color theory!)

While they’re also generally harmless, however, if you’re familiar with the legend of Will-‘o-the-wisps (which has multiple different variations and stories across the world!), following one at night thinking it’s a fellow traveler can lead to one’s death in a marsh, bog, swamp, etc. Typically, they’re seen in a graveyard or one of the above-mentioned areas. Since no one knew how dangerous Rollo was until it was too late, it seemed fitting for him to be one!

By the way, he can be corporeal to handle things or be hugged by someone. He can also phase through things he wants to avoid…now imagine his hat getting caught between the fence bars! 🤣🤣🤣

With that out of the way, let’s discuss his reaction to Yuu and mini!Yuu!

Given that he’s more comfortable with non-magic users, he’d be fascinated and charmed at the thought of humans—creatures of historic legend and cryptic bedtime stories—being non-magic. A world where magic doesn’t exist and no one will be consumed by blot or harmed by spells gone awry? He’d likely want to know more, but he wouldn’t want to get too close—after all, he’s not exactly keen on making friends or showing a vulnerable side. Yuu is gonna have their work cut out for them if they want to give him pets and scritches! Their best bet is in private where he’s less likely to react so strongly (though if he learns that getting the majority of Yuu’s attention is enough to annoy Malleus and the others, I can see him being smug about it and letting them praise him 😌).

As for mini!Yuu though…

Mini!Yuu: *toddling around the room, giggling as they support the large puffy cap on their head*

Azul: “Where did you get that, little one?”

Mini!Yuu: “Mr. Rollo dropped it and let me wear it!” *adjusts the cap with one hand to try and look up at them before bumping into Deuce’s leg* “Oof!”

Deuce: “Oop! Careful, Yuu!”

Riddle: “I’m surprised he allowed you to wear it given his position as Student Council President.”

/Meanwhile/

Vice President: “Uh…President Rollo? Where is your cap?”

Rollo: *holding handkerchief to his mouth* “Yuu wanted to know how heavy it was.”

Vice President: “Y-you’ve never let yourself be out of uniform!” *gets emotional* “But you’re allowing the human child to wear it…that is so precious!”

Rollo: *scowls, his wisp body turning reddish-pink in embarrassment*

As for how the whole event would go down…well, I can imagine that Rollo would believe he’s doing the right thing, so him possibly trying to separate Yuu from the others using the flowers would be even more terrifying! For mini!Yuu, the whole situation would be absolutely terrifying for the toddler since I doubt the others would have let them come with them to stop Rollo. So, the boys would likely leave them with Grandpa Trein for safety until the whole situation is done and over with.

Once all is said and done, it’s really up to Yuu to decide how they see Rollo after the fact. As for mini!Yuu? Whether they find out it was started because of him or the boys kept it under wraps just like everyone else in NBC being ignorant of what happened, they might just be happy to see he’s okay. Now imagine him dancing with mini!Yuu at the end of the event like Charlotte with Prince Naveen’s younger brother from Princess and the Frog!

IDK if I'm gonna do an AU where NRC is just filled with non-humans and MC is the only human or have a completely different setting where it's basically fantasy village filled with the TWST boys but monsters. Twst x Ever After High au.

Similar vein to to School for Good au with @writing-heiress, where Twisted Wonderland is the fairytale world and everyone is related to their fairytale counterparts. Only with the conflict of Ever After High where everyone has to sign the storybook of legends fufill their predetermined fates of reliving their parents stories. Riddle is the next Queen of Hearts, Chen'ya is the son of Chesire Cat, Malleus is the next evil fairy that curses the next Sleeping Beauty, who is Silver.

Neige and Vil are obviously filling the role of Apple and Raven respectively. Where everyone is afraid of Vil because of his mom and Neige as the next Snow White, so everyone adores him. When Vil hypothetically asks Crowley what would happen if he doesn't want to sign the book, he tells him flat out, "Your story ceases to exists and you will go poof." Cue the whole Royal and Rebel conflict of students that want to follow their destiny and students that want to have choice. With Neige trying to convince Vil to be evil and sign and Vil thinking Neige is being selfish.

Maybe Yuu fills the roll of C.A Cupid. Maybe theyre not specifically Cupid, but they were sent to the fairytale world from the Monster High universe to help guide everyone and Grim is their little monster cat helper. And maybe they hear the narrators too, just because.

《Summary 》: You are willing to end things with NCR once and for all. But will you really defeat them? You are just some prefect with no magic right?

You felt like puking, just the thought of maybe having to return to NCR gave you a stomach age. You really didn't want to, but Crowley kinda forced you, since the school was kinda on fire with out you controlling the students.

"Hey, you aren't going there alone." Your friend says, offering you a kind smile, holding up her guitar. Neige stood beside you, with a slight smile on his face.

"We are prepared. Amanda made sure you will get in safely and I can get my final revenge on Vil and my stalker." The petit boy says. It was surprising just how he managed to plot a murder looking like a baby puppy. Amanda's words, not yours.

"Of course I did! We shared fan fic tags, we are basically married!" She says leaning into your face teasingly before booping your nose. She looks back at Neige. "Isn't that right monster fucker?"

You giggle, starting to laugh. "Yup, you are never getting rid of us!"

Amanda binds her hair into a low ponytail before tugging at her clothes. She looked like a business woman.

"Are ya ready to go? If we're late we going ta ruin the suprise, wouldn't want that wood ya?" Amanda's accent sounded everything but like that of a cowboy, but that mayde ths whole thing funnier, especially when she would probably talk the whole time like this.

"Yup! Ready as I'll ever be!"

You sat down in the carriage that had been send to pick you up, personally by Crowley. Amanda rode by you on a horse. It was a pretty black horse and she looked like a queen on it. Neige was of course also somewhere but he probably was hidden better.

You can't help but chuckle to yourself. Over the past month Amanda had been helping you with making sure you would get your revenge and helped you incredibly much with finding a portal back to your home world.

She had gone further with her studying in two weeks than Crowley in almost a year. You sigh, looking at your phone.

Neige had also become an important part of your life and acting like his girlfriend had it perks. Though you had to gag mentally every time you remembered that the both of you acted like a sob story online.

The carriage comes to a halt and you see the Night raven college in all its glory and you try to get rid of the lump in your throat as you step out. Amanda steps down from the horse next to you and offers you her hand.

You take it, squeezing it. She simply let's you do that, acting like she wasn't noticing it. But she let her thumb run over your palm soothingly.

"There you are!" Crowley says opening his arms. "Welcome back, we have lots of things to do!" He seemed to expect you to go back to him, to stand by his side, but you stay glued to Amanda.

"Prefect."

You recognised his tone. The same tone he used to threaten you, with less food, less money or even worse threatening to throw you out of the school.

"No. I won't be coming back. I will pay of my debt, but I won't be coming back."

Crowley seems to go quiet, his eyes widening in suprise before he starts to growl.

"Who do you think you are you wretched magicless-" he cough, pretending to smile. "I mean respected member of our school."

Amanda had slowly pushed you behind her back. Her brows furrowed, she would probably have an anger outburst if he continued. You wanted to sooth the situation, well for now, you wanted to ask Grim were he would like to stay and get your stuff. After that chaos would be okay.

"I am just here to get my stuff. The money you need will be transferred to your account. " You yell, glad that Amanda was supporting you in this situation.

But before you can go do anything a person walks up to the NRC gates.

"Herbivore?" Leona stares at you, his eyes twitching as of he was on high alert. The new glasses he had to wear didn't suit him. He seemed wary of you.

"Yes. Kingscholar, it's me." He was scared, you could tell, the way he backed away as soon as he could tell it was you. Would Floyd be scared of you like that too? You hoped so.

The fear he has gets replaced by a wobbly smirk, the edges of it twitching.

"Huh? Came back after realising you didn't have anywhere to go!" He tries to humiliate or even hurt you. You smile at him kindly, catching him of guard.

"Oh no. I found a new place to stay in. I would just like to pick up some stuff." And you walk past him.

NRC has changed. The weather is bad, green thunder everywhere and collared students running around in fear, but no Riddle or Malleus.

You walk into the school straight to the mirror chamber, ignoring the students you walk past. Amanda is always right next to you, closely watching in order to make sure no one would attack you.

You notice a student with a bruised face, his make up is smudged. It's Carter, the person you ruined the reputation of, the same goes for Azul. You didn't see him, but you just knew it.

The most mirrors are smashed, though it didn't matter just as long as you could get Grim out of there. For the first time you are here in this school you feel powerful, the pain and the fear that lingers in the air is boosting your confidence.

The only thing that didn't change is Ramshackle. You open the door, looking around. Grim pounced at you hugging you in the process. He cried loudly almost choking you in the process. He of course was informed on your were abouts, but he wasn't sure if you could keep your promise.

"Well Grim, you have the choice! Either-"

"I am going to go with you, Henchman!"

You were surprised by the fact that Grim didn't even listen to the other offer, but you were relieved after all leaving Grim here on his own would make you feel horrible.

You are about to leave NRC, but a thunder flash, crashing right into the floor in front of you stops you. Malleus was here.

The only person you truly feared out of them all was him. He was like a child, throwing a tantrum but with thunders.

He was strong and he could probably just get rid of you, but you had build a wall between you and them. Not even Ace and Deuce would be able to call you back now.

No manipulative Kalim, No Vil humiliating you, no Azul, no Trey, no Floyd. No more pain.

Amanda had put a hand on your shoulder squeezing it supportingly. You decide that you would directly at Malleus, your eyes having a quiet threat in them. He shouldn't dare to touch you. He was taken aback and you look at Amanda. Who had started to pull out her guitar.

"Don't try to stop me." You mutter, grinning. Sebek of course comes charging at you, but simply with a look of your eyes you tell Amanda to use her unique magic. She does so, making Sebek dance.

With that you leave, being greeted by Neige.

You smile a bit driving back to RSA, and for the first time in your life you feel untouchable.

Rook 32! (Neige concert lmao)

Hi anon! Rook is very oc in this but I hope you enjoy the fic! I had fun writing Yuu being grossed out at happiness lol :)

Prompt 32.  my friend drags me to the concert of some boy band that I can’t stand because they didn’t want to go alone and you overhear me complaining about how awful they are and decide to prove me wrong in a heated debate

Note: Modern au, aged up characters, me lowkey ranting about NRC losing to RSA, mention of game events, "Heigh Ho!" is a fan translation (cries in EN server)

Yuu was annoyed, very annoyed. She was annoyed at the world when she got dragged out of her will, and her roommate, Rielle, was currently having the time of his life at the Neige LeBlanche concert.

Who was Neige? One might ask. Neige was a talented actor and singer known for his cutesy looks and friendly personality. It was nice for some people, but not Yuu. She was not a fan of him at all. Too bad she was sitting in the front section, close to the stage, of the concert, or else she would've booked it out of there. 

"Did I ever tell you that I hate you?" Yuu turned to her red-headed friend, who pouted in response.

"But you said that you were my friend yesterday!"

Yuu rolled her eyes. "Yes, until you dragged me here! That was when I revoked your friend status."

Rielle stopped pouting and gave his most adorable puppy eyes his blue eyes could muster. "C'mon Yuu, this will be fun. You will have a great time, I promise."

Yuu only crossed her arms and sighed. Here goes the next two hours of her life wasted on this concert. "I am going to die."

"Of fun!" Rielle beamed and turned his attention back to the concert. Neige had finally arrived, along with seven dwarves standing behind him.

"Hello, everyone! How is everyone tonight?"

Yuu winced as every fangirl/fanboy screamed their heart out for the performer. Yuu could feel her hearing starting to degenerate. "If only I invested in some earplugs," she grumbled and glared at Rielle, who was too busy fanboying to care.

"Tonight, I will start my show off with a familiar song. This one is one of my favorites, Heigh-Ho!"

"A KIDS SONG?!" Yuu exclaimed and turned to Rielle. "Is he serious right now?"

"Of course he is!" Her friend replied as Neige sang the first few verses. 

The sun calls for us with a wave of its hand Our morning is here Let's all get ready Who's sleeping in? Pull him out of his futon Hurry up, hurry up! Let's go, let's go! Good morning, everyone!

"I am living in a nightmare!" Yuu groaned as everyone sang along. The words sounded cult-like in Yuu's ears, and she already wanted her misery to end. If only a monster appeared and ended the show…a girl could dream. 

Yahoo, yahoo What a fun song Let's all spin around and dance Come on, let's hold hands Let's all laugh and dance

"Does this boy even hear himself? Spinning around, laughing, and dancing. What a goody two-shoes! He sounds so fake!"

“Excuse moi, madamoiselle. Roi de Neige sounds very passionate about his words.

Yuu, annoyed, turned to the stranger next to her. He had long blonde hair, green eyes, a shirt with "I <3 Neige," and a wide-brimmed hat with a feather. Yuu questioned why the guy didn't get complaints from the people behind them. "Well, his singing makes him sound like a little boy, and he's what? 18."

The man arched an eyebrow and crossed his arms. All of his attention was focused on Yuu. "Oh? Tell me, madamoiselle. Which artists do you prefer?"

"Well, I like Poppu Myūjikku because they have a variety of music, unlike this Cocomelon remake."

The man hummed in thought. "I see what you mean. Roi d'Or is a good drummer, Monsieur MagiCam is also a good singer, and Monsieur Curiosity has a very unique taste. I saw a video of him smashing guitars and stage diving on MagiCam. Tsk tsk." 

"Oh yeah? Tell me, what makes Neige so interesting, then?"

The man smiled as if rose petals were floating around him. "Well, his songs have so much meaning behind them; it just makes you want to sing along! His innocent demeanor attracts people and animals to him. Also, he has worked hard to get to where he is now. Just staring at him now makes me wish for world peace."

Yuu laughed mockingly. "World peace? That sounds stupid. Besides, Neige is not the only hard-working celebrity. There is Vil Schoenheit, who works ten times more than Neige and is a better celebrity than him!"

(Somewhere in the same city, Vil unknowingly smiled as he fixed a lavender-haired boy's makeup).

The man stood up straight and looked down at Yuu in annoyance. "Roi de Poison is beautiful but not on the same level as Neige. In fact, both of them competed in a singing competition, and Roi de Neige won."

Yuu felt a vein pop out of her forehead. She had remembered seeing that competition and how devastated Vil was at the results. He was so close to winning, but he lost by one point. What pissed her off the most was that he lost to the very song Neige started the concert with. "WHY YOU!!! Neige is nothing compared to Vil, and Vil deserved that win!" She yelled out with angry tears running down her eyes. Her response shocked the man, and it seemed like no one else heard it as they were too busy cheering on Neige. 

"Hey, Yuu." The redhead behind Yuu interrupted, causing her to turn her attention to her friend. "Are you okay? I heard you yelling just now."

Yuu wiped away her tears with her hands. "I just want to go home, Rielle. Please take me home."

Rielle looked at her with concern. "Are you sure?"

"Please!" Yuu pleaded, and Rielle nodded. 

The man sat there frozen as he watched the encounter. Suddenly his mouth moved before he could think ." Wait."

Yuu turned to the man. "What do you want now?"

The man dug inside his pocket and pulled out a neatly folded handkerchief. "Here, and I'm sorry about earlier."

Yuu stared at the handkerchief and the man before reluctantly taking it. She just wanted to leave without embarrassing herself in front of more people. Yuu said nothing as she and Rielle left eh venue, leaving Neige and the mystery man behind.

The birds were singing a sweet melody outside of Yuu's window. The sun shone brightly, and everything reminded her of Neige's concert and the mystery man. Yuu shook her head. She wished she knew who he was now that her mind had settled. She could return his handkerchief back and apologize like an adult. A knock interrupted Yuu's thoughts, and she called for someone to come in. A familiar mop of red hair and blue eyes entered, carrying a glass of water. 

"Good morning, Yuu." Reille smiled hesitantly as he handed her the cup. "I see that you are awake now. How are you feeling?"

Yuu drank the water and smiled. "Better now. Thank you."

Rielle sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm sorry for dragging you to the concert. I thought that you would have fun when obviously you didn't. I will make sure to not do something like that ever again."

Yuu smiled sadly and looked down at the empty cup in her hands. "It's alright. I forgive you."

"That's good. Speaking of, you need to look at MagiCam.

Yuu tilted her head in confusion. "Why?" Rielle opened his phone and showed Yuu the screen. It was a video of an interview about the concert, and on it was none other than the man from yesterday wearing his ridiculous hat and shirt. "Great Sevens, is this real?"

"Just watch." Rielle pressed play, and the man's voice filled the room.

"I enjoyed my time at the concert, and I'm not just saying this as the Eternal Snow fan club president." The man and the interviewer laugh. 

"Are there any memorable moments from the concert?"

Yuu felt herself suck in a breath as the man's voice suddenly turned serious. 

"There are. I met many fans during it, but also someone who was not a fan. Someone as passionate about other celebrities as I am with Neige. However, I said some things I regret, and for that, I am sorry. I hope to apologize to you in person, but this will do for now."

"Thank you for those words, and I hope you will find this person one day. Thank you for speaking to us, Monsieur."

The man only laughed. "You can call me Rook Hunt."

"Yes. Thank you, Rook. This is NRC News signing off."

Yuu and Rielle sat in silence. Yuu was busy processing everything when she suddenly remembered something. She reached over for the discarded handkerchief on the nightstand and examined it. 

There, embroidered in purple, were the letters "R.H."

The partnerships are:

Ciel + Zero (Guilmon X)

I didn't draw her with goggles here, but she has them. She uses a visor while researching "digital phenomena."

Unlike the regular Guilmon line, Guilmon Xs' digital hazards are sealed thanks to the X-antibody.

Elpizo + X (Patamon)

Elpizo pushes X to digivolve and become more powerful, while X tries to get him to calm down.

Neige + Craft (Grapleomon) are a different kind of partners.

Neige's a journalist chasing rumours of a secret government division. She's also looking for her old friend--though she can't remember his name or what he looks like. Meanwhile, Craft wants her to stay far away from what he's up to.

More long, rambly (subject to change) plot stuff under the cut:

The secret government division (basically a cross of DATS and Hypnos) has been researching the 'chosen child' phenomena. Wouldn't it be useful, to harness the ability to control powerful monsters? Particularly if you wanted to exterminate this parallel world full of walking nukes, thinks Director Weil.

Ciel either knows exactly what's happening or has men in black style amnesia to stop her from forming a resistance too early. In both options she has a creeping sense of dread/guilt that she's done something terrible and left someone behind.

Zero definitely has amnesia. Ciel first finds him as a hurt Gigimon, plopped out of her computer when she wishes to be stronger to protect others.

Arc 1: Involves Ciel and Zero getting used to a partnership as monsters start appearing in Arcadia city

Half of these encounters are solved without violence. Most digimon are fleeing to the human world for safety--only some elites are seeking to harm humans. Ciel ends up creating a network of digimon in hiding.

T.K. Thoreewon (but much prefers 'Elpizo') is Ciel's lancer, and he's far more ruthless than her. He doesn't have a digimon partner though, despite how he wants to help out in battles.

Occasionally after each battle they catch glimpses of a flickering angel, who repeats the message "stop me."

They eventually do, tracking down the vengeful Holyangemon who's been driving digimon to flee the digital world to escape his reign.

Curiously, Holyangemon (previously Seraphimon X) was once known for his peaceful policies and caring nature. He was one of the few leaders left after a nightmareish red dragon tore apart the world. But citizens whisper he changed after he left for the final battle to seal away that dragon--not just that he lost his X-antibody and dropped down a level. However, no one saw the old human escaping the scene that day when his monster was defeated.

Ciel, meanwhile, has a terrible sense of recognition when she sees Holyangemon's control ring.

Arc 2 involves investigating cases of missing digimon. Ciel has a theory it's humans--though others report a lion general doing the dirty work. At the same time, Elpizo's new partner Patamon rings deja vu...

Has sought out powerful magics without thinking to harness it for their own advantage, talks with a fire demon like its a pampered little pet, walks into danger with a stiff upper lip and an even stiffer, tackier, hat. They trade insults with him—as he deserves, who is he kidding—until the both of them are standing at the Gates of Suliman’s castle.

And then that tacky little idiot helps him when his magic fails. Cheers him on with genuine kindness and offers him an arm when his muscles are put under the strains of his real, battered, body for the first time in ages. When Suliman strips him of everything he has left, the poor little Shopkeep he once cursed out of nothing but cruelty takes him with them—saves him too. Okay, so I was thinking back to the early stages of creating the Monster!AU and remembered a question brought up by a friend: how does Vil view Yuu/mini!Yuu? Would he be jealous that they were an even rarer species than him? (Not including dragons of course)

The answer is yes and no. He would feel some jealousy at the amount of attention Yuu is getting from around the world (which now that I think about it, would be more than him and Neige in game), but above all he would feel pity and sympathy for them. After all, he knows how difficult it is to find others of his kind even with social media making it easier to connect. To be the only human alive in Twisted Wonderland...he can't even begin to comprehend how lonely they must feel, but he can sympathize enough that he makes sure to keep checking up on them.

You could say he develops a fondness for them early on. As for mini!Yuu...

Vil: *holding the toddler in his arms* "I've only had Yuu for a day, but if anything were to happen to them, I would destroy everything at this school."

Cater: "Um...I'm pretty sure that's not how that goes."

Vil: "Did I stutter?"

So...yeah! While mini!Yuu was practically adopted by Lilia already, Vil somewhat fills in a maternal role during their stay in Twisted Wonderland. In a way you could also say that he and Rook co-parent whenever Pomefiore is in charge of babysitting. 😌

It takes a village to raise a child, but Vil will drop-kick anyone who makes mini!Yuu cry. >:V

The Town of Holyisle: A human town with a monastery run by the abbot, Rollo. The population of the village is fully human and monsters are seen as enemies that should be shunned.

Yuu's Home: Home of the witch, Yuu, and their cat-like imp familiar, Grim. They often make potions for the Riverside Village and the town of Holyisle.

Riverside Village: A farming village that's the home of both monsters and humans. The Lord of the Village is the centaur, Riddle, whose servants include Trey, the minotaur, as his personal cook, Cater, the slime, as his financial advisor, and Che'nya, a catfolk menace who refuses to leave. There are also two newer servants, Deuce, the rabbitfolk, and Ace, the satyr. Another notable figure is the local historian, the human Trein.

Shoreside Reef: A town just off the coast filled fully with merfolk. The head of the village is Azul, an octopus merfolk who also engages heavily with trade on the island and has established a number of businesses on land. His closest confidants are Jade and Floyd, twin eel merfolk who do the dirty work for Azul.

Haunted Cave: A mysterious cave guarded by a small automaton named Ortho who is meant to protect the cave from outsiders, but he mostly just spends time with the resident ghost who is also his brother, Idia.

The City of Pomme: A large city with a population that's mostly monsters. The Lord of the City is the demons, Vil, who is also a popular actor in his theater company. His personal assistant is Rook, a troll and hunter, who was a fan of his performances. The new up and coming star is the fairy Epel who has been taken under Vil's wing. Another popular actor is the angel Neige who is the lead actor in a rival theater company. Another notable figure is the seamster and fasion designer, Crewel.

Duskfall Savanna: A fully monster city with a majority of the population being beastfolk. The lord of the city is Leona, a lionfolk, who doesn't really like his position. His personal servant is the hyenafolk, Ruggie. The gardener for Leona's estate is a wolfolk named Jack. Another notable figure is Vargas, a manticore, who is known for causing chaos from time to time.

Scalding Oasis: A desert city known for its many monster artisans and high quality goods. The Lord of the City is the harpy, Kalim, who is always accompanied by his servant, the naga Jamil. Another notable person is the ghoul, Sam, who runs the most expansive market in the entire oasis.

The Dragon's Domain: A territory ruled by the dragon, Malleus, who lives in his own personal tower. The others who live in his territory include the vampire batfolk, Lilia, the lizardfolk, Sebek, and the centaur, Silver who help care for the territory and act and confidants of Malleus.

Old Ruins: Not much is known about the old ruins other than it acts as a home for a dark feathered harpy.
