Maya, Carina, and Y/N are walking along a small park near their home. The sun is setting down alongside a hill, and the cool autumn air is moving the few already fallen leaves around. There aren't many clouds in the sky, making the brightest stars already visible on the evening sky.
Y/N smiles, closing her eyes as she takes a deep breath, smelling the fresh air around them. They all wanted to get out of the house, starting to feel a little like the walls were falling down on them, especially Y/N, as she doesn't have the same crazy schedules as her girlfriends.
"Want to go up the hill to see the sunset better?" Maya asks, knowing how much Y/N enjoys seeing the sky change its colors.
They all decide it's a good idea, so they start to walk towards the hill. From further away, it deosn't seem like a too big of a climb. However, as they continue walking, Y/N can properly see how steep the hill is. She can feel her breathing get heavier and quicker the moment they step foot on the base of the hill, but she doesn't say anything. It's just a hill, she feels embarrased to struggle while her girlfriends walk on with ease. At the middle of the hill, Y/N's pace begins to slow down. Her breaths in and out are short and quick paced, but she makes them as quiet as possible so Maya and Carina wouldn't hear. She continues pushing on.
Right before the top, the hill becomes even steeper. Maya and Carina are already at the top, enjoying the way the sun is painting the sky. At the last steps, Y/N's breathing turns audibly wheezy, getting her girlfriends' attention. They walk over to her, worry clear on their faces as they try to ask Y/N what's wrong, but she can't hear properly through the thumping in her ears.
She feels Carina’s hands gently pushing her to the ground. She sits down, her panicked eyes moving between Carina and Maya. “I c-“ she gasps, her lungs feeling like they’re collapsing, “I can’t breathe.”
“You have to calm down, bellezza.” Carina rubs her back, while Maya helps her take off the tight shirt she is wearing. “Take long and deep breaths for me.”
Y/N follows Carina’s instructions to the best of her abilities. It takes a while for her breathing to settle down, which scares both Maya and Carina, as they’ve never experienced something like this with Y/N.
Once Y/N’s breathing is normal, though slightly heavier, Maya grabs her still shaking hand. “What happened?”
“I have asthma.” Y/N tells with a sheepish look on her face.
Her girlfriends look shocked, and slightly alarmed they weren’t made aware of her condition. “Where’s your inhaler?” Maya is frowning.
“I don’t have one.” She mumbles, biting her lower lip. “Well I do, but I haven’t picked up my new dose yet.”
“That could’ve ended very badly, bellezza.” Carina sets her hands on Y/N’s cheeks, making her look at her. “You have to tell us these things so we know what to do when something like this happens. You also need to have an inhaler with you at all times.” Her doctor voice comes out, which Y/N usually finds very attractive, but right now she just feels like a scolded child.
“I know. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
Maya helps Y/N up, giving back her shirt that she slips on. “Tomorrow morning, we’ll go and get it right when the pharmacy opens.” She states, leaving no room for negotiation.
Y/N nods with a small smile, her gaze moving to the sky. “The sun has already set.” She pouts, feeling guilty they missed it because of her attack.
“It sets every night, we’ll catch it again.” Carina tubs her back while they start walking down the hill and back to their house, now in a much slower pace. “But lets not up that hill again.” She grins, kissing Y/N’s cheek.

Could you write a one shot where there is a really bad storm hitting Seattle. Maya and Carina are stuck at the hospital and the fire station, and are trying but unsuccessful at reaching Reader. So they are both worried out of their minds. Then Maya has to go out on a call and find it was R who wrecked their car trying to get home before the storm hit. (Could be severe or non-severe injuries) R goes to the hospital with Maya in the aid car and Carina joins them in the ER.

Authors note: I heard the song "What the water gave me - Florence + The Machine" while writing this story. I would advise you to listen to the song as well while reading through this story to get the feel of a real Station 19 rescue mission like in the series. Of course it's not a must! ♥
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sky over Seattle steadily darkened as pitch-black thunderclouds rolled in like a tidal wave. The wind began to howl as if playing its own somber tune, rushing restlessly through the skyscrapers of the city. Streets were quickly emptied as people rushed home for shelter. The trees bent under the force of the storm as if begging for mercy, but the storm was relentless. It thundered as if Zeus himself wanted to keep the crowds in their place while the rain fell in thick, large drops and threatened to drown Seattle. The sound of the wind, the falling of the rain and the thunder symphoned in a unique melody and conveyed a frightening atmosphere.
The telephones of the active fire brigade beeped in unison, a warning of the approaching storm that came in way too late. The tough captain of the fire department swallowed hard as she could not reach you, who worked just a few minutes away from her. But you did not answer, the connection was already disrupted, appearing to be off. "She wanted to be here fifteen minutes ago, Carina," both her and the brunette's worries grew with every minute through the phone as they imagined the worst possible scenarios without having any sign of life from you.
"Calm down, Bambina. There is probably total chaos on the streets. Fallen trees, flooding. Maybe she is just stuck in a traffic jam or an emergency came in."
The fire station was flooded with red alarm lights, while the walls shook from violent gusts of wind, preventing the young blonde from speaking further. Raindrops pelted against the roller shutter door, which opened more with every second, allowing the lightning strikes to break through their vision. -Fire engines 19 and 23. Ambulance 19 to Cedar Road Lane 6. Car struck by tree, person seriously injured and trapped.-
The firefighters rushed around, donning their suits and gear before grabbing their helmets. Like-minded, they rushed to the waiting vehicles, only Maya stopped briefly. „Please let me know if you hear anything from her. Stai attenta, bambina!" (Be careful, bambina!). She nodded, knowing that Carina could not see the gesture and hung up before hopping into the squad cars and starting the sirens. Pressing the accelerator, they raced through the whirlwind around them, trying to avoid the tree branches as much as possible.
Lightning flashed across the dangerous-looking sky, and thunder rolled at the same time like an angry demon. Maya clung to the steering wheel as she tried to keep her eyes on the wet, blurry road. They made their way through the flooded streets, branches flying through the air and trash cans tipping over and spilling across the sidewalk.
It was as if the world around her was collapsing in a chaotic dance of wind and water. "Listen guys, I know you want to help the person in the car, but first and foremost, think about your health and your life," the storm roared so loudly that it seemed like it wanted to tear the entire city apart and hardly anyone understood what the captain was saying over the radio. "This is one of the worst storms in years, a state of emergency has been declared and normally no one should be on the roads, so it is a mystery to me why anyone would be so dumb to be driving,"
Her team was clearly tense, the radios crackling in their ears, but they nodded to the captain as confirmation that they had understood the message. Maya did not want to lose any man or woman in her group to the storm. "We are approaching the scene of the accident. Be ready for anything, people. We can do this!" she said calmly and encouragingly while the fire engine´s sirens blared through the dark night.
When the team from Station 19 arrived at the scene of the accident, they were confronted with a dark and serious scene. The car is crammed in by a huge tree and is badly deformed, the hood of which is completely smashed and dented while some branches have pierced through the windshield and turned the interior of the vehicle into a field of rubble.
The fire team jumped out of the emergency vehicles and fought through the wind and rain to reach the car. But the captain remains rooted to the spot in front of the stern of the wreck, looking absentmindedly at the license plate, which was hanging askew. "Y/n.. IT IS Y/N!" she shouted unhindered amid the raging and deafening thunder and her team stopped their tasks in shock, Andy and Gibson focusing their gaze from the thick tree over to the woman in the driver's seat, who Warren was already trying to find vital signs on.
Maya lunged forward, her heart pounding with worry. Her helmet was almost blown away by the wind as she stepped closer, the flashlight shaking in her hand as she shone the light through the shattered window. Her heart seemed to skip a beat as she recognized the familiar features amid the devastation. She was confirmed that she did not have a number twist on the license plate, but that it really was you. Seriously injured and trapped in the car. “Y/n!” she cried, her voice filled with a terror she had never known before. Maya knew she had to stay calm now, that she had to be the professional captain, but her heart was screaming with fear and worry.
The other members of the fire department worked quickly and precisely. "Dean, Montgomery. Grab the hydraulic cutters! We need to get her out of here as quickly as possible. Her vital signs are at risk of plummeting!" shouted Warren. They used cutting tools to fight against the metal of the car on the passenger side and the resistance of the tree while Maya knelt next to the wreckage and held your hand, which was probably thrown out of the broken window after the impact and was now lying on the scratched paint of the outer door. "It looks bad in there! Be careful not to hurt her any further, approach carefully!"
Your eyes were dazed with pain and fear, but you were breathing, albeit weakly. Hearing her voice, you seemed to find some peace for a moment, your dull eyes glued to hers. Desperately wanting to say something, you opened your mouth from which blood began to ooze, but your crushed and injured lungs did not even let in air.
"Hold on, darling. Do not say anything, I am here. We will get you out of there, I promise." The blonde whispered, her voice firm to reassure you even as her own thoughts were caught in a chaos of worry and despair. The minutes stretched endlessly as her team struggled to bend the metal and free their captain's fiancée. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the metal gave way. Using their combined strength, Vic and Warren pulled you from the wreckage, carefully, yet as quickly as possible. As soon as they freed you, they carried you to the ambulance. Maya followed them, never taking her eyes off you. Your condition was serious, but you were still clinging to life. "Carina is coming. She is going to be at the hospital, she will be by your side the second you get there. But you have to fight now, okay? Fight for us."
The rain continued to beat down on you, the storm was still raging, but in the midst of this darkness and chaos there was a glimmer of hope- you were saved, and she would do anything now to help you fight through this storm. But it was hard to keep positive thoughts as the storm continued to sing its destructive song. She closed her eyes tightly as she rode in the ambulance and prayed, with your bloodstained hand in hers, that the next morning would bring a certain light to your health.

5 times Maya Bishop tries to confess she's in love with you, and the one time she actually does please?
mayaaaaa my love
the only one
1.
“Hey,” Maya smiles at you sweetly. “What are you doing right now?”
The two of you were the only ones in the station right now because everyone had been called onto a call, so you were doing your chores while Maya was on desk duty.
“Just finished cleaning the table,” You look towards the dining room table, as you slowly move towards the kitchen to clean the counters off. “I’m about to start on the kitchen. What do you need?”
“Do you want to play on the pole?” Maya lifts her brows excitedly. “Come on, It’ll be fun.”
“I’m—“
“Come on!” Maya leans towards you with pleading eyes.
You sigh, giving in to her eyes. “Fine. Only for a few minutes.”
You place the sponge on the kitchen island, and then your hand is in Maya’s. You’re being pulled down the hall until you’re on the overlook above the barn, standing on the platform above the pole.
“Ready?” Maya places her hands on the pole and looks back at you before jumping.
“You know if Andy sees us, she’s gonna kill us!” You yell down to the ground. “And you know I’m afraid of heights.”
“Then why are you a firefighter?” Maya places her hands on her hips, looking up at you from the ground.
“I don’t know,” You shrug.
“I’ll catch you if you fall, I promise,” Maya moves a little closer to the pole. “Come on, you’ve done this before.”
“Okay. Here I come.”
You slide down the pole, thankful you’re wearing pants, but you’d definitely have a burn on your thighs after that.
When you land, Maya has her hands on your hips to stabilize you.
“See? I got you,” Maya skims your face.
“Yes you do,” You laugh.
“Hey. Can I tell you something?”
“Sure!” You nod, opening your mouth to
speak again, you’re cut off by the sound of a horn.
The two of you look out the garage door and see the firetrucks pulling into the garage.
“We’ll talk later. Andy said that they were stopping at the kitchen after, so I better go finish cleaning the counters.”
“Okay. Yeah,” Maya nods disappointedly.
2.
You went out with the team after a particularly hard shift. Most of your calls were surrounded by children, and everyone knew it hurt you on a personal level.
The group and you had a specific table they always went to, because it would fit all of you, so that’s where they went tonight as well.
As you’re getting settled in, everyone decides what they want to drink (mostly beers) and so Maya offers to get the first round.
“Y/n, wanna help me carry them back?” She asks as she removes her coat.
“Sure,” You clear your throat, standing to walk over to her.
Maya places a hand on the small of your back, and you’d be lying if you said it didn’t make you feel so much more better. If you asked her why she did it, she would’ve said there were too many men in the bar.
“You okay?” Maya frowns as she leads the two of you to the bar.
You shrug while Maya orders the beers.
“I’m okay. You know how I am about the kids. And.. the Crisis One calls don’t help me any.”
“I know,” Mayas face held a soft expression, and you loved her for it.
“I hate it on there,” You lean against the bar. “Andy must hate me, because it feels like I’m on Crisis One everyday.”
“You know that’s not true,” She tilts her head sadly. “But we can talk to her about taking you off the Crisis One schedule for a few weeks.”
“Thank you,” You chuckle slightly, leaning your forehead on her shoulder. “I really mean it. You’re the sweetest.”
“Of course,” She smiles. “Hey, could we maybe talk about something?”
“Yeah,” You lift your head. “We can talk soon though, because our beers are here, and it might be better if we talk in a quieter setting.”
Maya nods, grabs a few beers, and walks back to the table with you.
3.
You pull your shirt over your head, in no big rush to get back to your apartment and your lone dog.
Most nights it was lonely, and no one offered to go out anywhere, so you were in no hurry to get home. You’d probably get dinner or something on the way home, then pass out on the couch.
“Where are you going after this?” Maya asked, her back turned to you as she removed her shirt.
“Home,” You laugh, removing your pants. “Back to the dog and my lonely apartment.”
“Wanna grab a bite to eat?” Maya turns her head, trying her best to keep her eyes on the side of your face and not your legs.
“Yes!” You turn excitedly, seeing Maya was already staring at you. “I’m sorry.. it’s just that I was really hoping someone would say that because I do not want to go home right now.”
“Perfect,” Maya lifts her chin. “There’s a small cafe I’ve been wanting to try. It’s halfway between our apartments, so it won’t cause us any grief.”
“Good,” You nod, now trying to finish changing faster than before. “I really just want a good cup of coffee and some greasy food.”
Maya zips her jeans, “Mm yes. A burger and fries sounds so good right now.”
You turn to face to Maya, now fully changed. “Tell me about it.”
Maya laughs humorously, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” You grab your bag, moving to exit the room. “I’ll wait for you out here.”
Maya presses her lips together, her mood suddenly changing.
“Not the way I love you,” Maya says under her breath, slamming her locker door closed.
4.
“I am so hungry,” You groan as you rush into the kitchen.
“Oh?” Victoria lifts her brows. “What are you hungry for? I can get Travis in here to make us something.”
“I kind of want..” Maya trails off, catching your gaze from across the room.
“Spaghetti,” You and Maya say at the same time.
“Oo yes,” Victoria claps her hands together. “I will tell him right away. Because if I try to make it, we might be putting a fire out here.”
You chuckle, “Oh yeah, same.”
“Be right back,” Victoria runs down the hall excitedly.
“You know how to clear a room,” Maya jokes from the table.
You roll your eyes, coming to sit across from Maya.
“I haven’t seen you all day,” You rest your arms on the wood table.
“Well, you are on Aid Car today,” Maya says.
“Yeah..” You nod. “But at least it’s with someone I like.”
“Yeah. What’s not to like about Jack?”
“A lot,” You joke. “No I’m just kidding. He’s been a perfect gentleman.”
“That’s good,” Maya lets out a breathy laugh. “Hey so.. there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you.”
“I’m all ears,” You lean forward.
“I have—“
“Here we come!” Victoria yells, dragging Travis behind her.
“Hold on,” Travis gasps, leaning over in hopes that he can get some air into his lungs. “Why am I here? Victoria was talking too fast.”
“You need to make us spaghetti,” Maya explains.
You look towards her and see her upset face, and make a note to ask her about it later.
5.
Somehow you got roped into helping with another training seminar. Every time either Andy or Victoria somehow got you signed up to help for the class.
This time it was a self defense class, which you had to admit wasn’t the worst of them, but you still didn’t like going to them, let alone teaching them.
You were praying you had someone who knew what they were doing to help teach with you, and apparently someone was on your side today, because Maya was preparing for the class when you got there.
“I must be late,” Your eyebrows drew together awkwardly.
“It’s okay. We were just starting,” Maya shrugs. “I’m Maya Bishop, and this is Y/n L/n. We’re going to teach you some basic self defense today.”
You nod along with everything Maya says, and suddenly you’re being flipped to the ground.
“Oo,” You groan in pain, ignoring the giggles from the teenagers.
“You should be paying attention,” Maya narrows her eyes down at you, offering a hand for you to take so you can lift yourself.
“I know. I didn’t get much sleep last night.”
“Let’s get them set up on an exercise and we can talk. Okay?”
“Sounds good,” You dust your butt off.
You and Maya instruct them on what to do, and she pulls you off to the side so the two of you can talk.
“What’s been bothering you?” She takes a sip of water from the bottle she has sitting off on the table.
“I don’t know,” You lie.
But you did know. You’ve had oncoming feelings for Maya, and they were there now, more than ever. You wanted to tell her, but you were terrified she wouldn’t reciprocate them.
“The dog’s kind of sick,” You look to the ground. “She’s been throwing up.”
That part wasn’t a lie.
“Maybe you should take her to the vet.”
“Yeah, I’m going to tomorrow. It’s my day off,” You bite the inside of your cheek, debating on whether to invite her or not since she was off as well.
“I’m off tomorrow too,” Maya puts her bottle down on the table. “I’ll come too. She’s a big dog. You’ll need help.”
“Thank you!” You smiled wide. “That would be very helpful.”
“Of course. I love you and Missy.”
You tilt your head, and look away, wishing she really meant it.
+1
Maya’s heart was beating out of her chest. It felt like she was going to have a heart attack, and she may as well be. The heartbreak would be all the same to her.
She has to stand back as Andy and Travis work to get you stabilized.
You were working to get some civilians out of their apartment as the ceiling fell down on you. The people managed to get out, but you hadn’t.
Maya ran in to save you, but after she did so, Andy made her stand back. She was a conflict of interest.
Victoria places a gentle hand on Maya’s shoulder as she paces, and Maya throws herself into Victoria’s hold.
No one has ever seen Maya in such a state. Everyone knew of her crush on you, and they were half excited that she was finally going to admit, but they were terrified that you wouldn’t pull through and that all of this happened.
Victoria holds Maya as you slowly wake.
“Ow,” You croak, and Maya is out of Victoria’s hold in a heartbeat. Everyone around you laugh at your reaction.
Maya dives to the ground, pulling you up into her arms, wrapping you in a bone crushing hug.
“Maya—“
“Don’t ever do that again,” Maya berates. “I was so scared.”
“I’m sorry—“
“No. I love you,” Maya lowers you so she could see your face. “And not like a friend, because that’s what you seem to think when I say those three words. I mean more than a friend, Y/n. Ever since your first day here. Even though I acted like I hated you. I really just wanted you to go out with me.”
“Maya.. I didn’t know.”
“I know,” Maya nods. “And I know that I just ruined one of my best friendships ever, but.. it’s worth it if you know. I’d rather you know, and hate me, than you not know.”
“Maya. Shut up,” You shake your head. “And here I thought I was the only one.”
“What—“
Maya is cut off as you press your lips to hers.
Everyone around you claps, and whoops, and you couldn’t care less about your pain, because you finally got what you wanted.

I’ve been laid up in bed all weekend with some chest thing. I think my body is trying to get bronchitis. I just want Maya and Carina to take care of me. Any chance you could write a Marina taking care of reader for me?
Waiting For Morning
Tumblr media
〖Summary: Carina and Maya watch over you while you sleep.〗
〖Word Count: 795〗
〖Pairing: Marina x sick R〗
〖Notes: Hi anon! I'm sorry you're not feeling well :(. Drink lots of fluids, rest and please go to the doctor if you need to. I hope this helps you feel a little better <3〗
“Maybe we should take them in,” Maya whispered, trying very hard not to disturb you from your fitful slumber. You had finally managed to fall asleep, but it wasn’t restful in the slightest. You were still coughing even in your sleep, it was a wheezy rattling sound that took so much energy out of you.
She had told you to keep an eye on that cold, Carina had done the same. When they had first started to fuss over you it felt so unnecessary. The common cold was something you could brush off. Until it wasn't. Something about this cold had been different, you hadn’t thought much about the clinging cough but when the fever struck you knew something was wrong.
“No, not yet. They need to rest. We’ll keep an eye on their breathing and temperature, if it gets worse we can take them.” Carina replied, shifting ever so slightly to help you get more comfortable. She had surrendered herself as a living body pillow hours ago, abandoning the nice dinner that she had been attempting to cook.
Maya didn’t seem convinced; her face had been pinched into a concerned expression since you had started to deteriorate and she refused to leave your side. While you clung to Carina she clung to you, worried that something would go wrong the second she took her eyes off you.
“They’ve been getting worse!” Maya hissed, tucking strands of hair behind your ear, periodically brushing a thumb against your cheek.
It was something she’d started to do after you’d had a nightmare and she picked up the habit after noticing how well it calmed you down. Now, whenever you were stressed, had a bad dream, or were sick she’d stroke your cheekbone and brush your hair behind your ear. The combination always worked.
You stirred, waking to a coughing fit that just couldn’t be ignored. You curled yourself into a ball and coughed into Carina’s side, not fully aware of her surroundings. The brunette didn’t protest, she and Maya just rubbed your back and waited for the fit to pass.
When you finally pealed your eyes open with a small sniffle you looked up into the face of the doctor who smiled back at you. For a moment you considered apologizing but you were too tired. You knew she didn’t care anyway so apologizing wouldn’t matter.
“Hello, my love. How are you feeling?” You grunted in response and shrugged, rolling to your other side to face Maya. The blonde kissed your forehead and the tip of your nose, doing her best to make you smile. It worked, it always worked. Even when she was stressed Maya could always make you smile.
“Time’sit?” You croaked, pulling yourself up onto your elbows. The small movement made you dizzy, and you regretted whatever urge decided that you needed to move in the first place. Your whole body hurt, your lungs aching alongside the rest of your muscles.
“A little past two in the morning. Can you tell us how you’re feeling?” Maya asked moving closer, to help prop you up. You leaned against her and shrugged again, already letting your eyes shut for another moment.
“Not great. Why’re you guys still up?” You reached blindly for Carina, hitting her lightly until you found her hand to hold. Her hands were soft and warm in contrast to Maya’s calloused palms. The two were polar opposites, sometimes it surprised you that they managed not to kill each other at the beginning of your relationship.
“It’s hard to sleep when someone you love is sick,” Carina said, cringing at her words. “God that was corny, wasn’t it?” Maya laughed and your lips quirked up in a smile. It was corny, but you loved it.
“It was pretty bad.” You admitted, lowering yourself back against the pillows. This time you dragged Maya with you so that you were sandwiched more comfortably between your girlfriends. You sniffled tiredly and shivered, your discomfort reemerging.
Carina brought the blanket up over your shoulders and Maya kissed your shoulder, both of them doing the best they could to help you feel better.
“If you aren’t breathing better in the morning we’re going to Grey Sloan.” The brunette decided, her anxiety winning over what she knew was likely something that could clear up on its own. She was okay with being overprotective when it came to you. Maya nodded her agreement, but you had already started to fall asleep again, not noticing her reaction.
“Get some rest for now. We’ll see how you’re doing in the morning.” The firefighter wrapped an arm around your waist, spooning you against Carina. The three of you lay like that in a warm cocoon, your girlfriends joining you in sleep only moments later.

Twisted Promise AU (Coming Soon)
If Kate was asked what she wanted to be when she was ten years old, she would have replied that she wanted to be a superhero; just like Hawkeye. The world was bright and exciting as a child, especially when the Avengers existed. That’s how the young Bishop grew up, wide eyed and a naive sense of confidence. It was the blip that destroyed every ounce of hope for most people, and it shoved the once blindly optimistic Kate into reality. Her childhood idol was nowhere to be seen, seemingly hiding while the rest of his team fought against the most dangerous enemy to land on Earth’s soil.
She went to work for her mother at Bishop Security, uncovering her deal with Fisk accidentally. It should have bothered the once morally righteous young brunette to know what Eleanor was doing to make sure the business thrived, but for some reason she couldn’t find it in herself to care. Keeping her head down at the company, Kate got her work done and really only got close to Maya. The two bonded over being the youngest and having a lot of pressure put on them.
When tales about a dark hooded figure with a sword that was taking down organizations across the globe began to spread, Fisk began to spread his assets. Kate took an even larger step away from the spotlight in regards to the company, deciding to focus on college and her sports. Her mother was pleased by this, always wanting to protect her daughter.
The Avengers tried, one last time, to reverse the blip. It was a very public and violent fight that ultimately ended in failure. The entirety of public heroes were gone, dead, or rumor has it some are stuck in different universes and timelines. Society didn’t trust them anymore and there was no longer a need for them but the hooded swordsman came back. The Bishops weren’t worried until Kingpin was targeted.
When the Ronin showed up to the penthouse it was Kate that he came face to face with, shock filling his body when he realized she was just a kid. A young girl dressed in a hoodie with a flimsy looking sword attached to her hips, an incredibly innocent looking expression on her face. He was expecting Fisk, or at least his group of workers. His hesitation was his downfall as Kate used his second of doubt to disarm him. The young Bishop wasn’t the one to drop him to his knees though. No, that was Maya the silent accomplice to the young archer. Shooting him three times with a smile on her face; once in the knee, once in the torso, and once in the sternum.
Curiosity got the best of Kate as she unmasked the so called vigilante that had been wreaking havoc across the globe, and there bleeding out on her marble floors was her childhood hero Hawkeye. Clint Barton, the person that made her want to take up archery and the person who saved her life many years ago. The person that disappeared when Thanos came to Earth causing Kate to turn her back not only on him but the idea of heroism. Believing that her hero was nothing but a coward, instead delving into her mother’s operations, he was ultimately the reason the young archer fell into the darkness in her soul.
It was Kate’s arrow, shot from a small loaded crossbow that was concealed between her shoulder blades, that drops him dead. Instead of following through with the original plan of burning the body and suit, the archer decides to take up the mantle. Following in her once-hero’s footsteps in a demented way by working for Fisk, killing any target regardless of who it is.
Carrying the infamous retractable sword, along with a small crossbow and collapsible bow, Kate under the guise of Ronin became one of the most feared members of Fisk’s organizations. The other two were Maya (Echo) and Yelena (White Widow), who joined in favor of following the people who killed the man responsible for her sister’s death. The three of them became Kingpin’s most prized weapons, and were sent out to deal with the most special targets.
——————————————————————————————
The first time she sees you it's past midnight and you’re rushing home after a long closing shift at the small movie theater you work at. She can’t help but think how you look entirely too cute to be her next target, bundled up in an oversized jacket and a beanie that is falling into your eyes. Confused, the young Ronin decides to follow you around for a few days in hopes to gather information that will allow her to understand her assignment. The longer she trails you the more confused she gets, you’re just a normal person. You walk your dog daily, go to work at the theater almost every single day, and eat ice cream in bed while watching Bob’s Burgers episode on repeat. You aren’t threatening nor did you have anything threatening in your apartment.
The first time she comes into the theater you spill an entire cup of soda on the floor, tripping over air as you get distracted by her striking ocean eyes. Little did you know that she was taking advantage of a tactic that Yelena taught her, drawing trust from the target to find a more convenient spot to kill you.
Kate had thought you were adorable, and stumbled through awkwardly flirting back. The archer tried to act cool as she tried to charm you. Her ego stroked when she realized how difficult it was for you to act normally around her.  You cursed yourself as you stuttered through asking her what movie she would be seeing, but she just asked for a small popcorn and left.
You’re ecstatic when the gorgeous brunette begins showing up at work often, getting a small popcorn and leaving. You are hooked, completely infatuated. Every time you work you have to hype yourself up to finally ask her out, you never do. You don’t even know her name yet.
Another day, another shift, and you can’t help but feel disappointed by the lack of ocean girl for the past week. Your co-workers watch the entire day as you perk up each time someone walks through the doors and sulk as you clean up to close. The walk home was brisk, trying to avoid being in the cold for too long but just a few blocks from your apartment you see someone leaning against a street light. You don’t have too much time to try and think of a different route when the figure starts walking towards you, closing the distance swiftly.
The person is shoving you against an abandoned building, back hitting rough dirty brick. Your heart beat is pounding but the moment your gaze catches a flash of ocean blue you calm. “You haven’t been to th-the theater in a while.” Your voice is soft, anxiety making your voice crack halfway.
Kate, who was flipping an arrow in her hand, looks up at you shocked. Her mouth opens and closes a few times, trying to put together what was happening. How were you not scared? An almost complete stranger just shoved you into an abandoned alleyway, and you’re worried about them getting a bag of popcorn? She lets the shiny arrowhead tap against your leg, smirking as you look down at it. “I’ve been planning something a little different.”
Her voice is low causing a shiver to run down your spine as you look at the reflection of a street light shining off the sharp tip. “Usually I don’t get this…adventurous on the first hookup but for you I would.” You’re a bit nervous, but you know you need to be open to anything if you want to keep the most gorgeous girl you’ve ever seen. She’s entirely out of your league, but you won’t let your inexperience get in the way.
She’s staring at you, an incredulous look on her face. Deciding to test you, she lets the her weapon of choice ghost along her body until it’s beating against your skull. Slowly she lets the tip of the arrow dig into your temple, eye widening as you just let her pierce her skin. The girl is pulling away, jaw slack, about to say something when some random girl screams interrupting the two of you.
The girl runs up to you, asking if you’re okay, but you just notice that the ocean girl is gone. A small trail of blood your only reminder of your close encounter with the popcorn girl. Slumping against the wall again, you just nod and grumpily thank the stranger for her help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arms crossed, Kate pouts in the oversized arm chair as Yelena and Maya laugh at her. The glare in her eyes is weak, and her friends know it. “Guys! It doesn’t make sense, okay. Why are they my next target?” Her hands are erratic as she signs, making Maya laugh at the mistakes she makes.
The blonde just shrugs as she struggles to sit up straight through her laughter, but Kate relaxes when she sees Maya get her attention. “The boss has a connection to them that he doesn’t want them to know, Kazi figured that part out but the files are destroyed on what the connection is.” The older brunette shrugs at the end of her sentence, quickly signing an apology before smacking Yelena on the head.
The widow sighs before shrugging too, “I really do not think I can be of help. I could not find anything.” Her sloppy signing still makes Maya smile, knowing English in every way is still a bit of a struggle for the Russian. “Besides, just take the target out and get the job done and over with. It should be easy Kate Bishop.” The smirk on the blonde’s face makes the archer roll her eyes, pouting again at the tease.
The young Ronin nods nonetheless, looking out the window, trying to piece together her thoughts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
For the next few weeks you keep getting in awkward situations with ocean girl, who after you practically begged for the answer told you her name is Kate. You still can’t actually get the nerve to ask her out. You can’t even get the nerve to just try and actually initiate hooking up with her, even though she has definitely tried. Even if every single time you are alone with the brunette ends with her disappearing with no trace, you can’t help but look forward to the next time she pops into your life.
The subway was the most annoying thing ever, preferring to walk everywhere, but you were going to the opposite side of the city so you had no other choice. Your head is down, airpods secure in your ears, as you try to rest a bit before you get to your destination.
You don’t remember dozing off but the feeling of cold metal along your throat wakes you up, a hand in your hair stops you from flinching. Panic rushing through you but the smooth voice that speaks calms you. “We are finishing this tonight, I’m done playing around.”
Slowly opening your eyes, relaxing your face, taking a chance to look up at the ocean blue you crave. “Not that I’m not thrilled to see you because I am, you look amazing tonight by the way, but can I ask if the weird sword thing was necessary?” You don’t mean to ramble but she makes you nervous.
Kate is staring down at you, jaw tense as she takes you in. Your entirely too innocent eyes, sparkling looking up at her like she was the best thing in the world. Your nervous smile, flinching every time your skin is pricked by the sharp blade, but it just makes her melt a little inside at the cuteness. You are the easiest target she’s ever had, honestly you’re the easiest person anyone could have ever been told to kill.
The moment you bite your lip, out of awkwardness mostly because of the heavy silence, it breaks something in Kate. She crashes her mouth into yours, messy and sloppy, but it stuns you nonetheless. This wasn’t the first time someone kissed you, but the way she’s pushing against you is different. No one has ever wanted you like she does at the moment. No one ever touched you like she is.  The blade against your throat retracts, scratching a thin line across your throat, but you don’t have much time to think about it when Kate’s calloused hand replaces it.
Your eyes flick around, grateful for the empty car you’re in, as she moves to straddle you. “I- maybe we shouldn’t do th-” She cuts you off with a sharp slap on your cheek, anger flashing in her eyes before she rubs the red skin soothingly. A small smile reaches her face as she coos over you. You can’t tell if she’s serious or just mocking you, but it makes you blush either way as you wiggle around beneath her.
The flush rises up your neck as she pulls on the baby hairs there, “Oh my sweet little thing, you’re already squirming.” The brunette is moving around, forcing herself between your legs and letting her mouth ghost along your neck.
You can feel the heat in your belly, spreading across your body the more she touches you. The wetness between your thighs makes you whimper, embarrassed at how easy it was for her to turn you on. You let your head shake slowly, cheeks burning as you slam your eyes shut so you don’t have to look at her.
Her hand is already slipping under your shirt, her rough fingers sliding directly under your sports bra. Her palm slides against your hardened nipple, a smirk spreads across her face when she hears your breath hitch. “So sensitive, don’t tell me a pretty pet like you is a virgin.” Her voice is arrogant, as she lets her knee fall between your thighs.
Your hips buck against her knee as it comes to lay flat against your covered center, a pathetic whimper escaping through your lips. Even though it’s a lie you’re adamantly shaking your head, refusing to seem even more pitiful. Letting your eyes close, you try your hardest to ignore the way her hand makes you feel as she palms at your breast. You try to ignore the way you just know your arousal is leaking through your panties as you try not to desperately grind against her knee.
The knee between your thighs is moving, slowly but grinding perfectly into you, and it makes your vision blur. “Now now, don’t lie to me. I’m taking mercy on you, don’t take my niceness for granted. Tell me the truth.” Her mouth is moving against your neck, a particularly hard bite makes you wince as you try to focus. The smallest yes falls from your lips, meek and quiet. “That’s a good girl, I guess I should reward you. Yea?”
Her forehead is leaning against your shoulder, watching as your hips are uncontrollably rutting against her knee. She wants to laugh at how awkward and sloppy it is, but she can’t help the rush of arousal through her body thinking about breaking that. You were going to be hers to ruin, no matter what her job was.
The grip she has on your breasts is borderline painful and you were getting frustrated at not being able to reach your high alone, you were never good at getting off by yourself. You could feel your body starting to give it in, and your mouth hanging open in a silent plea, but it was like you couldn’t fall over the edge. Stuck dangling and Kate was just having a grand old time watching you struggle.
You were completely focused on trying to reach your orgasm that you weren’t aware of the subway coming to a stop, nor were you aware of Kate’s focus shifting. The moment she pulls herself off you, pulling her hood off her head and a gray beanie over her head, a whine tears through your teeth. She’s shushing you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and shoving your heads down to stare at her phone screen.
The archer is watching, through her lashes, as people rush to get into different cars but she sighs in relief when the doors finally close with no extra occupants joining. Making quick work of calculating how long until her stop, less than 2 minutes, she sighs and looks down at you. Your entire face is flushed, your breath coming out in harsh labored pants, and you're rubbing your thighs together in a feeble attempt to find pressure.
Grumbling, she reaches down unceremoniously gathering you in her arms and waits for the doors to open. The moment the metal slides open she’s rushing out, dodging people and shushing you as you whimper with each thundering step she takes. You try to look around, but when you see her taking dark abandoned alleyways you hide your face in her neck instead. The slight pang of fear makes you want to find safety, and for some reason Kate feels like that for you.
The young Ronin sighs as she enters her penthouse, relaxing as the Bishop Security panel comes to life and secures the door behind her. She drops you roughly on the couch before she starts stripping layers, throwing everything around as she tries to take in what she just did. Her boss, Fisk, was going to murder her if he ever found out that this target was alive. Not only was this target alive, but she was keeping them in her apartment and trying to hookup with them.
When she looks up from the glass of liquor she poured, her gaze meets yours and she knows that it doesn’t matter. She was going to keep you, no matter who tried to go against her. You were hers, even if you didn’t know it yet.

Kate Bishop x Female tracksuit mafia member
TW - death, angst
——————————————————
For the longest time criminal mastermind Y/N L/N and avenger Kate Bishop had this little cat and mouse chase throughout the city of Brooklyn, NewYork.
Ten years to be exact.
Y/N was Kates first mission.
“take out the girl, in and out” Clint repeats the mission plan to the young archer
However as we know now, that mission didn’t go to plan. The two archers shot a rigged bomb which they thought was the young criminal. An explosion blasted throughout the fourth floor of the small abandoned building.
this mission left Clint partially death and Kate just got away with a few scrapes though. Y/N however, left that building that night with a new scar and a broken collar bone.
But that was 7 years ago.
Nowadays Y/N is associated with the tracksuit mafia. Kate is still an avenger. The world is breaking apart at its strings, meaning the tracksuits had an opportunity to strike.
———
Y/N’s POV
One thing I hate more than the cold is early mornings, today we have both. Although I dare say Christmas in NewYork is one of the best things to witness every year, it’s also a pain in the ass.
I walk into the warehouse, combat boots echoing throughout the silent room. I must be early. I shrug and whistle some old Christmas song while equipping myself with guns and knifes. I put extra ammo in other peoples guns, knowing today could go tits up.
“Ah there she is. Hey Y/N, come, come we have a surprise for you. Well for boss but your bound to love this” my main man Tomas comes up to me patting my back with a smirk.
Silently me and Tomas walk into one of the farthest rooms from the exit, confused and tired I walk in behind Tomas.
I step further into the dimly lit room to see a chair in the middle with Hawkeye sat upon it. Chuckling I walk in front of him.
“Awe guys I know it’s Christmas but you didn’t have to get me such a thoughtful gift” i quip as I walk around, silently wondering where the protégé is these days.
i turn back to the group of probably 20 men “what do we need from Mr Barton? you know he has a lovely family he surely has Christmas plans with. Cmon guys let’s not keep the poor man too long” I question the group.
“we need miss Bishop..well the big boss does” another man says almost intimidated.
I smirk “oh what has my favourite avenger gotten herself into this time?” I chuckle while turning back to Clint “where’s the girl?” I say, taking my gun out of its holster, placing the cold metal against the older man’s forehead with a smirk.
“your delusional” he says lowly.
“Keep him here till I find the girls whereabouts. I’ll be in my office” i state to the men while I walk away, throwing the gun to Ivan.
———
in my office I shut the door and throw my body onto the faux leather chair at my desk.
“Kate Bishop why the fuck are you under my desk…if you wanted to pleasure me I’m more into knifes and chains” i smirk as I look down at the woman under my desk.
Standing up from her place under my wooden desk she holds me but the throat and straddles me making sure I cannot move “kinky” I state with a wheeze.
“You want out of this business? Say it and I can guarantee your safety with the avengers” she her other hand to grip my chin, making me look at her.
“Ah yes because mister general Ross would been so happy to invite a Romanian assassin onto the team oh wait isn’t one Slavic spy enough or are you guys going down a more ethnic route?” I use my hand to slowly inch Kates hand off of my neck, allowing me to speak without passing out.
she climbs off my lap “tonight there will be a meet up with your team and mine. It’ll end in blood shed. Please Y/N we cannot afford the casualties and neither can you guys. Call it off” she states before opening the window. Cool air seeping through. “See you there drăguţă” ((sweetheart)) I laugh as she jumps out of the window, I then make my way back to where the other men are
“Okay, okay children let him go, we have insight on the avengers” i say with a laugh. Walking over to Barton I grab my pocket knife, cutting his restraints “tell your team to bring their dancing shoes tonight will you?” is the last thing I say before shoving him to the floor, half of my men go and escort him out of the warehouse.
————
laying down in my bed in the warehouse I shut my eyes. Memories flow through my head. The red room. Meeting the avengers. Being kicked out of the avengers. Meeting the tracksuits. Meeting kingpin. With a groan I throw myself out of the bed, realising I did i fact get a good amount of sleep, an hour until this so called fight. I’m already dressed all I need is to brief the team, grab Maya and Kazi before heading out.
————
it’s 11pm, me, Maya, Kazi and a lot of the tracksuits are huddled into the back of a van. Being transported to the garage.
once we make it there the doors open and we all split up around the garage, I send the snipers up onto the roof of either the vans or the building behind the sign, I send the best fighters behind cars and the others stay with me, Maya and Kazi to await for the avengers appearance.
Not even a minute after I’m comes the worlds mightiest hero’s.
“Hey guys, good holiday. Damn I kinda saw you guys as a sunny holiday Christmas people. Not enough money for your Hawaii trip?” I speak first out of habit. People say my job is to be a weapon. I say my job is a full time career in taking the piss out of the avengers. Anywho a fight breaks out and it’s me against the ant man “I don’t want to hurt you kid” he tries to plead “awe Katie look, you have competition here, he cares about me” I frown playfully, punching him square in the nose, I sweep his feet from under him and when he tries to get up again I slam his head to the floor, knocking him out.
Next I go for Spider-Man, i quickly analyse his power, he’s using web slingers “Oo fancy can I try?” I quickly pull the gear off of his wrist, throwing them to Tomas “here bro thwip thwip” he chuckles while attaching them to his person. The little big boy goes to swing his fist at me. i punch the dude in the ribs, he falls to the ground eyes shutting while I shake my hand in pain “ouch that really hurt” i state with a whimper.
Lastly I walk over to Clint, knowing my boys are going to take care of the rest of the team.
“You killed my mother” I say coldly as I punch the man in the face “say her name” I cry out as his back hits the bonnet of a red car, he lets his body slide down the car until he is sat in front of it. “Maya is going to kill Clint” The Falcon shouts out to the standing avengers obviously not knowing I am indeed not Maya.
I stand up and turn around to correct him but before I can say anything I hear the release of an arrow, seconds later the said arrow pierces through my skin, I look down at the arrows placement.
Right through my chest, awkwardly situated on the left side of my body on from what I can gather is my heart.
Pain shoots through my body, forcing me to fall to my knees.
“Shit” is all Clint says behind me.
My former team the avengers and my loyal team, the tracksuit mafia all stop fighting.
Since the arrow left it’s place in Kate’s bow she didn’t stop looking at me.
Both teams ran over.
Kate got to me first. “No fuck, Y/N don’t you dare leave me like this”
“Hey, Bishop, I really like you. You know that?” I say through staggered breathes as I lift my hand up, grabbing the arrow and pulling it out of my body. “you’ve got good aim”
Darkness engulfs my vision and my body falls onto the cold concrete floor.

“Stop fighting me!” The girl, who you found out was named Kate, yelled. She had you pinned down below her, your knees being freed as you took it as your shot to knee her in the stomach. She groaned, the small moment of weakness allowing you to take her arm and pin her down to be in your previous position. You quickly grabbed the knife from your pocket, placing it against her neck as you watched her struggle to escape.
“Please, I won’t hurt you, just let me go.”
“And who said I don’t want to hurt you?”
“Trust me, you don’t want to.”
“And how would you know that?”
“I can tell, Y/N.” Your eyes widened briefly before you relaxed, trying your best to hide any emotions she could use against you. You had never told her your name, but you guessed she had done some research on you beforehand. Smart move.
“I won’t let you kill her. Even if I have to take her spot, I will die protecting her.” She furrowed her eyebrows as the oxygen started lowering in her body. If she didn’t stop you soon, she knew this would be close to her last breath.
“Who is ‘she’ meant to be?”
“Maya Lopez. I’m not letting you near her.” That only confused her more. She wasn’t here for Maya, she was here for someone else. She had yet to know his name, only knowing he lacked a great amount of hair and was on the larger side. He had conversations with her mother, conversations she later learned led to her father's death when she was little.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She struggled to get the words out. You noticed her breath shortening even more and removed your arm from her neck in fear.
“What do you mean you don’t know? Of course, you know! You’re here to kill her.” Kate coughed multiple times and rolled over on the floor, trying her best to gain the little strength she had left in her.
“I’m not here to kill her, I’m here for him.” She grabbed a photo of the man she was after, watching as the gears turned in your head. You let out an embarrassed sigh and stood up, walking over to her and awkwardly offering your hand to help her stand. You could see the red marks staining her neck, the guilt building up even more.
“Shit, I’m sorry. I-I thought-”
“You don’t need to explain yourself, I understand.” There was a small silence filling the area before she released a chuckle. You looked back at her, silently urging her to speak, anything to fill this unpleasant quiet nature.
“These marks definitely won’t be going away for a while.” She noticed your guilt-ridden face and shook her head.
“Don’t feel bad, sweetheart, they’re not that bad.” She said, “If anything, they’re kinda hot.” You laughed at her words, slowly trailing over to her and motioning for her to look up. She did as you asked. You examined her red skin while her eyes couldn’t leave you. She watched the concentration on your face with a smirk, the woman you just beat up was being cared for by you so gently, it was almost as if you hadn’t just choked her out. You finally caught on to her glances and nervously looked back down.
“Don’t look away, sweetheart. You’re beautiful.” She snapped her fingers in front of your face to get your attention back on her.
“Are you seriously trying to fuck me after I just tried to kill you?” You crossed your arms against your chest as she stared at your breasts, they were practically calling her name. She licked her lips and moved her eyesight back to be inline yours.
“Hm?”
“Did you even hear what I said?” She nodded, clearly lying her way out of it.
“Okay,” You started, “Then tell me what I said.” She closed the small space between you two, imagining your plump lips on hers. Your fit body beneath hers once more, but this time, it won’t be due to a fight. Her hand made contact with your cheek, cupping your soft face and pulling you closer until you could feel her breath against yours.
“I think you were saying something about how badly you wanted me to kiss you right now.” She trailed on, not being able to waste another second and connecting her lips with yours in a hurry. Her hands found place on your lower back near your butt as your placed themselves on her chest, slowly going down as the kiss progressed. You could feel her hardened length pressing against your core, begging for any sort of touch.
When it got difficult to breathe you finally released her lips, your eyes widening as you backed away from her lust-filled self.
“Kate, we can’t do this.”
“Why not?” You had just kissed her, practically made out with her and now you were denying it?
“If my boss finds out-”
“Don’t worry about her right now, baby, just think about this.” She could see you debating with yourself on what you wanted to do. You wanted more than anything for her to fuck you, have you make a mess all over her until you couldn’t take it anymore. But you knew the consequences as well. If Maya found out you had slept with someone she had been looking for for nearly 3 years, she’d kill you.
“Tell me you don’t want this.” Your lack of response caused her to continue. “Tell me you don’t want me to fuck you. I bet you’re such a hard little worker, willing to ruin your wants for Maya’s needs. Are you my good girl, baby?” You nodded breathlessly.
“Yeah, you are. Now why don’t you get on your knees for me, love.” Your knees hit the ground with a small force, your hands trailing to her pants. You cupped her covered length and smiled as you could hear her breath hitch. She smiled and fluttered her eyes shut, your fingers slowly unzipping her jeans until she was left in just her boxers.
“Stop being such a tease and just-”
“Just what, Katey?” Her cheeks reddened at the nickname, you took notice.
“C’mon, Kate, tell me what you want me to do.” You mimicked her words from earlier, chuckling to yourself as she groaned in frustration.
“Just- fuck me already!”
“Now, now, baby, didn’t your mother ever teach you some manners?” She was nearly fed up with you, it wasn’t the time to tease, she was desperate. Her cock was dripping in pre cum as you slowly trailed her boxers down her legs.
“Please, Y/N. Please fuck me.”
“That’s more like it.” Your hands went up and down her hips for a split second before finding their way to her leaking cock. You wrapped it around her length and kissed the head, smiling as you caught the small taste of her.
You made her feel things no woman had ever made her feel. She was in need of more, your mouth wasn’t enough. And when she fucked your face with little to no mercy, she could only imagine how your pussy must’ve felt. Your walls gripping her with dear life as she filled you up until you were dripping.
“Lay down, baby, I need to fuck this sweet cunt.”
“Fucking on a rooftop, real romantic, don’t you think?” Her cock prodded at your hole, her fingers finding their way to your pulsing clit. Her lips attacked yours in a frenzied haze. She couldn’t get enough of you, of your body, of the way you fit so well in her arms.
“My perfect little girl, so pretty you are.” Her free hand went to your nipples under your shirt, pinching and tweaking them until you were squirming beneath her.
“Shh, it’s alright, my love. I’m gonna take care of you, I promise.” You nodded, the words trying to escape only failing as the pleasure became unbearable.
“Kate-” You gasped out. “I need you. I need you inside of me.” You cupped her cheeks and made her stare directly into your eyes, her pupils being dilated and blown out. You were just the same, staring at her with a certain want in your eyes.
“Didn’t your mother ever teach you your manners, hm?” She mocked, listening to your whines with a grin. You could feel her slowly filling you up, your mouth letting out a gasp before dropping open as moans tumbled out of you. She kissed your forehead, letting her lips linger for a moment too long.
“Tell me when I can move, okay?” She waited patiently as you adjusted to the stretch. You had never felt so full. You knew it was wrong, yet, it felt so sinfully sweet. You prayed nobody would ever find out about this, but you didn’t want to stop. You didn’t want to consider the consequences, you just wanted her.
“You can move, Kate.” You mumbled out, your hand interlocking with hers as she started a slow yet harsh pace. You bit your lip as the fiery pain slowly faded into one of pleasure.
“Oh, daddy.” You moaned quietly, feeling Kate stop as she rendered what you had just said.
“What did you just call me?” Before you could apologize she continued, “Say it again.” Hearing those words leave your lips was like heaven. She couldn’t help the way she thrusted into you with such force, you drove her insane.
“Please, daddy, please fuck me harder!” Her hand snaked up to your neck, your breath being cut short as she choked you harshly. It was enough to leave a mark to tend to tomorrow, you assumed it was payback to the ones you left on her.
“That’s it, moan for daddy, baby. Be the perfect little slut I know you are.” The coil in her stomach tightened as you clenched around her.
“Fuck! Daddy’s gonna make you a mommy, baby. You want that? You want daddy to fuck you full of my cum?”
“Yes, daddy! Please fill me up, I need it so bad!” She tried her best to warn you, but she failed. Her release shot deep inside of you, filling your tight hole as she stilled. You snapped, the two of you finishing in sync. You scratched down her back leaving red marks behind. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head, Kate’s hand resting on your stomach as she felt a small bulge. She grasped your hand into her own and placed it on your stomach once more.
“You feel that? You feel how deep I am inside of you?” The euphoric feeling was a long-awaited one. It had been months, almost years since you had felt that good. You didn’t want it to end, but you knew Kate couldn’t be seen near you. So, you soaked in the little time you both had left, holding her against you tightly and not letting go until she had to say goodbye once and for all. Just to be safe, she gave you her number, telling you not to call on your phone but a burner phone in case Maya tracked who you called.
It had been close to a month since that day and it had never left your mind. You’d lay in bed, all alone as you slowly fingered yourself, trying anything to get that same feeling you had with Kate. But as of late, you’d been beyond sick. You had a feeling you knew what it could be, Kate hadn’t worn a condom and while you were on birth control, it didn’t always work. You had called in sick, lucky enough to be granted the day off as you were closer to the boss and she knew how hard you’d been working. The timer went off, and you turned the test over and prepared yourself for the worst.
“Shit.” Two lines. Positive. You were pregnant. And it was Kate’s baby. The woman your boss had been after for years was going to be the mother to your child. What had you gotten yourself into?

Heat Kills
Plot: Reader has an heatstroke caused by an intensive workout.
Maya Bishop x Carina DeLuca x reader

You can't stand the heat; you’ve hated it since you were little, always. When summer came, you were happy just because school was over but, at the same time, you hated the forty degrees you had to endure every single day.
Then you became a professional soccer player and, having always played on teams up north, you never felt as hot as you did this season with the OL Reign. Although the Seattle Women's soccer Team has been a great benefit in your career, this scorching heat is truly terrible, especially since you are not used to it.
A small sigh leaves your lips as you grab your water bottle and tuck it into your backpack, ready to face a scorching workout in the ten o'clock morning sun.
"Good morning Bella, where are you going?" Carina hugs you from behind, her breasts pressing against your back as she fondles your butt with an amused smirk on her face.
"Car I'm on my way to practice and I'm already late ... as much as I would like to slam you against this table, unfortunately I can't."
You turn around, staying in her arms and kissing the tip of her nose with a smile.
Carina pouts, and after a few seconds, just long enough for her brain to work and understand what you've just told her, her gaze changes to a frown of confusion and concern at the same time.
"The weather alert has been issued, didn't you see it Bambina? You can't train in this heat, it's going to be 104° F out there..."
You sigh and shake your head slightly. You knew this conversation would happen, and you also know how it will end. Probably with a gorgeous, sexy Italian doctor very pissed off at you.
"Car, I can't miss another workout. Less than two weeks ago I was sick and couldn't train for almost a whole week, I can't miss any more days. I have to earn my place on the team, you know it's important to me…like this"
Carina shakes her head several times, hard. She tortures her lower lip, clenching it between her teeth, and although you find it very sexy, the particularly pissed off look on the Italian's face gives you pause to comment on how hot she is when she does this.
"You'll get sick if you run in this heat. They can't make you train with a weather alert, è sconsiderato e stupido. Cazzo."
Your lovely girl rants in her native language, and you foolishly fail to control yourself and let your eyes wander to the clock hanging on the wall behind the angry doctor.
You had never done that before.
"Are you really thinking you're going to be late? No way, you can't really think about going y/n. Ugh, who am I kidding? Of course you want to go, sometimes I think you're worse than Maya...you know what, fai come ti pare."
"Carina, wait-"
Before you can even try to stop her and reason with her, the brunette locks herself in your bedroom slamming the door and making the whole apartment shake.
You know her, you know that she just has to let the pissing go now. So, despite the knot in your stomach from the fight and with the excuse of giving her the space she needs, you bend down to pick up your duffel bag and then leave the apartment, stuffing your car keys into the left pocket of your shorts, ready to head to the soccer field.
.........................................................................................
After only an hour and a half of practice, you realize you've screwed up big time when you start to lose all feeling in your body and feel like you're floating on air. Your teammates are no better off than you are.
You cast a glance at Coach Harvey, praying that she will notice the terrible condition you are in but you doubt it. After all, she is sitting in the shade and with all this heat you doubt she is really watching you. At least, not today.
The ball is put back in the middle, after Clarke has scored one of her famous goals, and the coach blows her whistle. You run nonstop to get to Clarke's side; you cross the half-court line and are careful not to be offside as you pass the ball between you over and over again.
You don't know how but suddenly you are no longer in control of your body and your right foot ends up over the ball instead of to the side. In less than a second, you find yourself on the ground groaning in pain as soon as you hit the ground.
"Fuck."
You snort, wrinkling your nose and taking the hand offered to you without even understanding who is offering it to you. Octavia gives you a smile, although she can't really hide the worry on her face.
She helps you to your feet and puts a hand on your shoulder.
"You don't look so good, are you okay?"
Meanwhile, the other girls have taken the opportunity there to take a break and drink some water, and you don't blame them, especially considering that you still have another hour of training ahead of you.
Octavia Blake is many things but she is definitely not a quitter. Never.
"You're really hot y/n, are you sure you feel good?"
You don't answer her, you don't feel good at all, and you can't even understand her.
"I don't think Carina and Maya would agree, you know? I'll take you to them."
You don't really understand what she is saying, not at all. The heat clouds your mind; you run a hand over your forehead, you have the impression that you are dripping with sweat but actually you are not, your hand is completely dry when you pull it back.
Not good, not good at all. A cold shiver runs down your spine as you lean against Octavia making her support you even more and she is the one who supports you even more.
From that moment until she takes you to Station 19, you don't notice anything, just her shaking you from time to time as you go, calling your name several times as you continue to lose consciousness. The only time you realize you are at the station is when Andy and Vic help Octavia get you out of the car.
They’re probably calling your name but you can't answer; honestly, you don't even know how you are there, really.
You don't know how much time has passed, but you only begin to understand what is going on around you because of your Italian girlfriend's warm hands caressing your face.
"Bambina, bambina look at me. Are you okay? Can you hear me?"
Carina swipes a strand of wet hair from your forehead, bringing it behind your ear. The doctor pulls a small flashlight out of her gown, turns it on and holds it in front of your eyes while she holds your head still.
"Y/n, follow the light, honey. Follow the light, okay?"
You wrinkle your nose, and the nausea you have been feeling up to this point only increases as you are blinded by the flashlight.
You scan Carina with one arm, turn onto your side and vomit all the contents of your stomach onto the floor.
Carina strokes your back, trying to give you as much comfort as she can, while Andy shoves an IV of cold fluids into you.
"Andy, call Maya. I think the heat stroke is a lo worse than I thought. She's not even sweating..."
As soon as Carina sees Andy running down the hall to find your firegirl, she immediately turns to you and takes the thermometer out of Vic's hands. She sticks it in your mouth, even though you are not very cooperative, and waits for you to make the sound to check your temperature: 104° F.
Carina gasps and her heart stops for a few seconds; she is more than aware that such a temperature is very dangerous and could even make you convulse.
You start sobbing and try to reach Carina with clumsy and uncoordinated movements, seeking the comfort of a hug. You feel so bad that you do not realize what you are doing; it is as if you have no control over your body. Your confused state only makes the doctor more concerned.
"Bella we can't, your temperature is too high."
Carina bites her lip, trying not to cry. She wants to hold you in her arms but she can’t.
"Car..."
Carina feels her heart stop when suddenly your eyes roll back and your body is suddenly shaken by convulsions.
"Damn it, no no no. Come back to me, Bella.”
Carina turns you on your side, pulling up the arms of the cot and takes care of your head.
"Vic, give her a 12-mg Diazepam drip!"
Vic goes to the station's medical supplies in a flash and rummages around until she finds what Carina asked for. She prepares the solution and inserts the IV into your left arm, which Carina says is your best arm for targeting veins.
In less than three minutes your body has stopped moving. Carina pulls your hair back from in front of your face and leaves a kiss on your forehead before unwinding the IV bag a bit to check the speed at which the drug is being administered.
"Carina!"
Maya Bishop, Captain of Station 19 as well as your girlfriend, comes running up to you. Concern fills her blue eyes that you love so much.
"What happened? Andy told me you were with her but she didn't tell me what it was about..."
Maya takes your hand between her own wincing in shock when she feels how much heat your skin is giving off.
"Shit, she's burning up. We have to get her to Grey's Sloan."
Carina and Maya exchange a glances. Carina twists her lower lip between her teeth and runs a hand through her hair. Both you and the blonde know that this gesture indicates that the brunette is very worried about something.
"No, you know how much she hates Bella hospitals. We can't, we can't do that to her. Let's take her to your office and use your shower to cool her down."
Maya leans over to take you in her arms but Carina stops her, shaking her head firmly.
"You have to be very careful Maya, we shouldn't even be moving her but we need to get her temperature down quickly. She had a seizure and I'm afraid she may still have another one.”
Carina whispers, her voice breaking as she thinks back to the feeling of a few moments ago. Maya takes a deep breath; she doesn't think she has ever been so scared in her entire life. She barely nods, taking you in her arms with such gentleness that she is surprised herself. Maya walks down the corridor to the door of her own office; Carina opens the door for you, and as soon as you cross the threshold, she closes it again.
The blonde firefighter lays you down on her bed, paying special attention to your head as Carina kneels beside you. She puts two fingers on your right wrist to check your pulse while looking at the clock on the wall.
"Pulse is dropping, we need to cool her down now, Maya-“
"Shit, she's seizing. Maya, help me!"
Carina turns you onto your side, removing the pillow from under your head and being very careful about the arm in which the IV needle is still stuck .
"Maya, Maya I need you to focus amore mio. She needs you; Maya look at me" Carina groans in frustration and concern for the blonde, watching her stand absolutely still in front of this horrible sight, "Maya!"
The firefighter blinks a few times before recovering from her shocked state and jumping into action. She lifts everything around that could hurt you and helps Carina hold you on your side so you don't choke on your own tongue.
It takes a good three interminable minutes before the seizure is over and Maya and Carina's arms ache from the force they had to use to hold you down.
"We're running out of time," Carina says, starting to remove off every layer of clothing but your underwear before taking you into her arms. Maya looks like a machine, she does everything Carina tells her to do - like turn on the shower, for example - but her eyes are blank, the Italian knows very well that the blonde is not in a good headspace right now but now the priority, as much as it hurts her to have to necessarily choose between the two of you, is you.
Maya turns on the tub's faucet and waits for it to fill. Carina steps in and slowly and gently losers you into the tub. You gasp, your eyes jerking open as your body feels the excessive change in temperature. A whimper escapes your lips as you try to pull away from the icy grip but firm hands hold you down, whispering excuses you don't want to hear right now.
"N-no, f-cold. I-I don't want to."
Chills run down your spine, making you whimper softly as you try to pulls your girls closer to you.
"I know Amore, I know... Shh, it's okay. You'll get better, you'll get better."
Carina rubs your back, somehow trying to comfort you without giving you too much heat.
The Italian puts her hand on your forehead, feeling that your temperature has dropped a bit.
"Maya I'm cold, I'm cold, I don't want to do this anymore. Please, I don't want to do this anymore."
The fever makes you start cry and your body is shaken by sobs that only make you feel worse.
Her name spoken by you make out of the near catatonic state she has been in.
“Baby, you need to calm down, this is not good for you okay? I promise it will be over soon but this way you are putting to much strain on your heart love. Please calm down."
Maya takes your hand and brings it to her own chest for you to follow her breathing and you do, unconsciously and maybe out of habit, but you do.
Carina keeps an eye on your heartbeat the whole time; her fingers never leaving your pulse for a moment, and her heart only seems to start beating again only when your pulse slows down and becomes stable again, at least for your current condition.
More than twenty minutes pass in the freezing water before you are finally covered with at least a T-shirt and then placed on the bed in Maya's office. Under cooling blankets, contrary to what you would have liked. Your mind is clearer and Carina and Maya are very relieved about that.
"What happened?"
Your voice is barely more than a whisper. You are struggling to find the words and your mouth feels as if it is stuck. It is also exhausting to talk right now, you can barely move your head towards them to look into their eyes as you speak.
"Heat stroke, Octavia brought you here Bella. You've had two convulsive episodes from a high fever. It's down now, but you're not out of the woods yet, so you need to rest."
Carina strokes your face as she points to the IV in your arm. As soon as you see it, you panic. You sit up and scratch your arm to pull the IV out. Under normal circumstances, you would think before you act but now, the delirium of heatstroke is just flying the last neurons you had.
"No no no, the press will go crazy with this news. I can't stay in the hospital, I have to get out of here; an OL soccer player in the hospital for heat stroke, n-"
Maya grabs your face and, to your and Carina's surprise, slaps you. Not so hard that it really hurts, but hard enough to bring you back to reality.
Although shock, fever, and heat stroke cloud your mind, you recognize where you are in a few moments.
"Oh...we're in your office."
You place the hand you were about to use to remove your IV at your side and give them a small apologetic smile.
"It's okay Bella, now get some rest. I'd like to keep you here a little longer for observation. We’ll take you home tonight, if all goes as it should."
Carina leans over you and plants a kiss on your lips, followed soon after by Maya.
"Now Maya and I will talk, you rest. Oh, and don't even think you've escaped the lecture. It’s waiting for you as soon as you feel better.”
Carina smiles at you with a wink and then leaves the office followed by Maya. Not before the latter mimics you an "I love you" with her lips and mentally asks you to pray for her. Surely, Carina won't let her get over the slap she gave you a few minutes ago.
Hey, thanks for reading. I know it's not much and it’s not that good but it's better than nothing, right? Write a comment and tell me what you think. Have a nice day!
p.s: I wrote this because it's like thirty-five degrees in Italy and I'm dying :)

Lick U Clean*
Tumblr media
Title: Lick U Clean Pairing: Maya Bishop x Reader Prompt: 99. "You know there wasn't a single thing to eat in the kitchen until you walked in." MINORS DNI, 18+ Warnings: smut, top Maya, bottom reader, oral (f receiving) R WC: 789
Maya huffed as she leaned against the counter. She was absolutely starving, but Y/n had only been leaving the grocery store whenever Maya called. There had been ways to avoid her hunger pains, but Maya had been excited to see Y/n after a week of being apart. Y/n's schedule at the university had been hectic, and once that had ended, Maya had to leave town for a conference. The station was receiving high marks for its functionality, even after becoming the laughing stock of the Seattle Fire Department. Y/n had been upset that she wasn't available to attend, but Maya understood and wouldn't have wanted everybody to see how bashful Y/n made her.
"Okay, so, I couldn't get a few things, but we should be all stocked up for the next week or so. Hopefully you can come with me next time," Y/n said as she brought the bags into the kitchen. Usually, Maya would have been right by her side to help her, but instead she was stuck to her spot. Y/n glanced over her shoulder once all the bags were on the counter to where Maya was standing and staring at her. "Are you going to help me?"
"In a moment, I promise." Maya pushed herself up from where she had been leaning against a countertop to wrap her arms around Y/n's waist and pull her backwards. "You know there wasn't a single thing to eat in the kitchen until you walked in."
"Oh, really?" Y/n asked teasingly. She knew that they'd have to be quick about this, but she was also certain that Maya had been thinking about this for just as long as her. Maya hoisted Y/n up onto the counter and secured herself in between Y/n's legs. Y/n bit her lip as she tried not to moan at the feeling of Maya's hips pressing against hers. She didn't want Maya to know how quickly things could be over. Y/n wanted to prolong the moment between the two of them, even if it was just for a few minutes.
Maya undid the buttons of Y/n's shirt as she pushed it off of Y/n's shoulders. Oversized flannels were a staple to Seattle culture according to Y/n, but Maya was pretty sure that Y/n only really wore them out to get away with not wearing a bra. Maya wouldn't complain about that little detail though. Instead, she groped both of Y/n's breasts and teased Y/n's nipples with her fingers. They stiffened beneath her touch, and Y/n wasn't able to hide those moans and gasps from Maya.
"I love it when you get turned on like this," Maya muttered as she kissed a path down Y/n's stomach. Y/n's skin was flushed, and her breathing was already starting to become uneven. Maya tugged at Y/n's shorts and underwear, managing to get both of them down Y/n's legs in one move. There was a moment of pause before Maya moved back in between Y/n's legs. Y/n wrapped her legs around Maya's waist as she pulled Maya in for a kiss. Maya leaned into the kiss, forcing Y/n to lean backwards until her back was against the marble countertop. Y/n unlinked her ankles to let Maya step back and kneel down in between her thighs.
Maya placed her hands on the insides of Y/n's thighs, gently rubbing little circles where she knew Y/n was most sensitive. A feather-light and slow kiss was placed on Y/n's center. Maya's resolve to take things slowly dissolved the moment that she tasted Y/n's arousal. Maya lapped hungrily at Y/n's cunt, as if she was trying to gather each drop so it didn't go to waste. Y/n threaded her fingers in Maya's hair and pulled the blonde's head up so that Maya' tongue could focus on her clit. Maya could have stayed completely still and let Y/n grind herself to completion, but Maya preferred to have an active role in her partner's pleasure. She worked with the gyrations of Y/n's hips to time things perfectly.
Y/n came quickly and with Maya's name being screamed from the top of her lungs. Maya's chest swelled with pride as she stood up and helped Y/n off of the counter. She placed the flannel back over Y/n's shoulders as she ushered her out of the kitchen. Y/n laid on the couch wrapped up in her shirt and a blanket while Maya put away the groceries and returned to her with a small snack for the two of them to share.

Hi, Captain
Tumblr media
Maya Bishop x Fem!Reader
First Maya Bishop Fic!
I got this idea from a tiktok I saw yesterday, and immediately thought of writing this.
Let me know what you think!
-grey
———
Maya and Andy arrived at an apartment building in the city. They were driving around in the aid car and were the closest to the location, so they were assigned to the case. They walked in to the lobby, walking up to the front desk.
“Hi, we got a non-emergency call at this location. Do you know who called?” Andy asked, looking around for anyone who could’ve needed help.
“That would be me.” You said, rolling your wheelchair closer to the two.
“Hey. I’m Captain Bishop and that’s Lieutenant Herrera. What seems to be the problem.”
“Oh, wow. They sent the big bosses. Uh, well sorry for calling, I just didnt know what to do, but I just got back from a trip and the elevator is out of order and as you can see, stairs isn’t an option for me alone.”
“What floor are you on ma’am?”
“Just call me Y/N, no need to be formal, and it’s a long way up. I’m on the twenty-eighth floor.”
“Then you can just call me Maya.” She turns to look at Andy. “How do you wanna do this?”
“One of us can carry her and the other carries the chair?”
“Would you be comfortable with one of us carrying you?”
“As long as I get to my floor then I’d be fine with it.”
Now here you are, on the tenth floor, Maya carrying you on your back, Andy following behind with your chair.
“How are you doing Captain? Still going strong?”
“We trained for this, so I’m doing alright for now.”
“What about you back there?” You ask Andy, holding your arm tighter around Maya’s neck to look at Andy.
“I’m doing fine. Your chair is surprisingly very light.”
Eighteen floors later, Maya sets you down in your chair where you roll yourself to your door, the two firefighters following closely behind.
“Welcome to my humble abode. Would you like something to drink? Water, or a sports drink for some electrolytes? I’ll just give you guys both.”
“This is a very cozy place you for here.”
“It is. I’ve only just recently moved in a couple months ago.” Wheeling over to where they stand, looking out the windows, you hand them their drinks. “I can’t thank you both enough.”
“It’s no problem at all. But how are you gonna get back down?” Andy downs all her water.
“Don’t worry, they’ll have it done by tomorrow night. I have nowhere else to go before then.”
“We have to go, but it was great meeting you.”
“It was great meeting you too, Captain.”
———
Rolling your chair to the front of Station 19, you ring the doorbell. Seconds later, the door opens to a male firefighter.
“Hi, how can I help you?”
“Good morning. I was just wondering if Lieutenant Herrera and Captain Bishop are here?”
“Can I know what you need them for?”
“They helped me out yesterday with getting up to my apartment, so I thought I’d thank them properly with some homemade goodies.” You at, pointing to your lap that had one big box and two smaller boxes.
“They’re currently out in a call, but should be back soon. Why don’t you come in and wait inside.”
He holds the door open so you can roll yourself inside.
“Oh! This box here on the bottom is actually for all the firefighters. I didn’t wanna bring some goodies and leave everyone else out. Could you grab the Mr…”
He grabs the bottom box when you lift the other two off.
“Uh, Montgomery. But just call me Travis.”
“Okay, Travis. You can call me Y/N.”
“I’ll just bring this upstairs and be right back.”
———
Maya and the rest of the team file out of the fire truck, taking their heavy gear off, each doing their own thing. As she walks towards her office, she sees someone familiar.
“Y/N! What a surprise. What are you doing here?”
“Hi, Captain—”
“—Maya, please.” She interrupts you.
“Well, Maya, I just wanted to stop by to thank you and Andy properly. I’ve just—”
“Hey! Who’s this?” You’re interrupted once again, this time by the whole team walking in.
“Y/N! Hi.”
“Hi, Andy. I was just telling Maya I wanted to thank you both for yesterday and made some baked goodies.” You said, handing them a box each. “There’s a bigger box of them for the rest of the team that Travis brought upstairs.”
“Baked goodies?” Vic asked very excitedly, running up the stairs, other on her tow. “You’re the best!” She yelled out, followed by other ‘thank you’s’ from the team.
“Thank you Y/N.” Andy followed the others.
You and Maya were now left alone downstairs.
“Would you join me in my office? I’d like to ask you something.”
“Lead the way.”
Holding the door open, she lets you enter first, closing it behind her.
“I don’t know if this is unprofessional since I am currently on the job, but I wanted to know if you’d like to go on a date with me sometime? Hopefully tonight?” After not hearing an answer right away, Maya grew nervous. “Or, not. It- it’s okay, probably a stupid idea…”
As she’s nervously rambling, she doesn’t notice you staring amusingly at her with a smile. Deciding to put her out of her misery, you interrupt her.
“Maya!” She looks at you with wide eyes. “I would love to go on a date with you.”
“Great!” She clears her throat. “Uh, cool, cool, cool. That’s awesome. I’ll text you.” She opens her office door going out, then opening the front firehouse door, you following after her. “I will text you.”
“You would need my number for that.” You smirked.
“Right! Right. Uh, here.” She hands you her phone, hands a little shaky. “Could you put your number in. Thanks.”
Handing her phone back to her. “I’ll see you later Captain.” You said with a teasing smile, exiting the station to your car.
“See you later indeed.”

Y/N is running towards Maya and Carina’s house, having lost her car privileges, because according to her father, she needs to use every minute of her life to train for the Olympic tryouts. Even going to her sister’s house.
Her legs are screaming at her to stop, or even slow down her pace, but she can’t afford to slack off. She needs to be the best, just like her sister. You need to be more like your sister. Your sister was a lot more serious about this than you are. Did you know your sister has a gold metal from the Olympics? The sentences run through her head as she pushes herself to speed up on the last meters. Considering the way her father uses her sister’s success against her, it’d be easy to become bitter to her too, but Y/N loves her sister. Maya is her safe place. Has been since she was born.
Panting slightly, Y/N comes to a stop in front of Maya and Carina’s house. She does a few harsh knocks on the door, but decides to just open the door with an extra key she got from the couple. She steps inside and closes the door behind her, immediately hearing loud voices coming from the living room.
“Hello?” She calls out, not wanting to walk in on anything she shouldn’t be a part of, but no one seems to hear her. Y/N starts walking towards the shouting, her heartbeat fastening with every step.
“You know that isn’t how it works!” Maya’s loud voice boom through the house. “I can’t just-” the sentence gets cut off by a groan.
In the logical part of her brain, Y/N knows Maya is nothing like their father, but the way she sounds when angry is so similar to him. Her breath hitches as a bang comes from the living room. All the memories of Lane throwing something her way coming up. “Shit.” She mumbles, leaning against a wall to calm down.
“I can’t talk about this right now.” Carina sighs, walking out of the living room, but stopping the moment she sees Y/N in their house. “Maya!”
“What n- oh.” Maya stares at Y/N, instantly worried of her. “What are you doing here?” She sets her hand on her arm.
“I was just really stressed about the tryouts and dad, so I wanted to come here, but then you two were fighting and I didn’t know what to do, and I-“
“Hey, hey, hey,” Maya pulls her into an embrace, “it’s okay. You’re okay.” She rubs her back. “I’m sorry you heard that.”
“What did your father do?” Carina asks, also setting a hand on Y/N’s shoulder once she pulls away from the hug. Maya glances at her girlfriend at the question, but doesn’t comment on it.
Y/N shrugs, leaning to the touch. Ever since Maya started dating Carina, the Italian has become another safe place for her. “Telling me to train a lot, gives me no breaks, yells,” she hesitates for a moment, “sometimes he throws stuff.”
Maya and Carina look at each other, the latter has a look on her face that Y/N can’t decipher. It looks like the subject makes the couple tense. “Has anything hit you?” Y/N avoids eye contact at the question, which makes Maya ask it again, “has anything hit you? Are you hurt?”
“It’s not a big of a deal. He wants me to do well on the tryouts and get a gold medal like you did.”
Rubbing her forehead, Maya starts pacing. ”It is a big deal, honey.” Carina’s hand goes up to brush her hair. She has a worried look on her face. “He is abusive.”
“Carina.” Maya speaks up. “He just- he wants us to succeed. He is the reason I have my medal.”
“Don’t say that stuff in front of her.” Carina whispers, as if Y/N wouldn’t be able to hear her. “He is hurting your little sister, Maya. He hurt you. He is not a good father.” The conversation is starting to get heated again. Clearly this was the subject of their earlier fight too. “I know you don’t want to accept it yet, but you have to agree that she’d be better off with us.”
Y/N frowns. Were they talking about her? “We’ll talk about it later.” Maya mumbles, turning back to her sister, clearly ending the conversation. “Carina cooked some lasagna earlier today, you want some?”
“Dad said not to eat too much.”
Biting the inside of her cheek, Maya shakes her head and pulls Y/N to the kitchen. “Well, I say you eat some lasagna. And then the three of us can watch a movie, okay? You’ll sleep over this night.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Carina speaks up, having followed them to the kitchen. “We’ll paint our nails and do our hair, have a pillow fight,” she laughs, “all the things they do in those American films, right?”
“Okay.” Y/N nods with a smile, already feeling like a small weight has been lifted. She knows it’ll all come back when she goes back home, but for now, she’ll enjoy Maya and Carina’s company.

⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ This one-shot includes the topic of suicide and the plot is presented. If this triggers you too easily or you just can´t handle the subject, I urge you NOT to read this work. I am NOT embellishing this topic under any circumstance. Read at your own risk.
I have to post this request in two parts again because I wrote too much. Also I let out a small detail because I didn´t know how to write it. I'm sorry! ♥
The caustic stabbing feeling in your stomach, which had been creeping up all afternoon, became more intense the louder the discussion between the three of you got. "I am not overworking, I am fine!" you screamed at Carina and Maya as they watched you start throwing the dirty dishes into the sink in a rage.
The blonde, who was sitting on the couch and nervously fumbling with the thread of her jeans, was protecting herself by silently enduring the consequences of the dispute that had arisen. The brunette on the other hand, tried to address the issue by placing a hand gently on your forearm, trying to calm you down while you unfolded wildly about the latest suspicion that the two had thrown into the room.
You knew exactly, what they were getting at.
For a few weeks, you were hardly at home. Working late into the night and studying hard at the library for your graduation simultaneously, you oscillated between stressful things and barely had any time in between to provide your body and mind with the care it needed.
Of course you knew what you were doing was not healthy, noticing it clearly from the lack of sleep and the resulting dark circles that adorned your tired, lackluster eyes. Throbbing headaches stretching from your temples to your neck, mixed with accompanying dizziness and reduced performance, became commonplace.
"Maybe you should think about quitting your job at the station," suggested Maya, who had spoken up for the first time in this argument. She did not want to see you leave the team, you were an important link that held it together and enabled good cooperation. But she knew from your behavior and your manner how close you were to a breakdown.
Dismayed by the statement thrown in, you tossed the sponge into the sink and braced your lower back against the metal tub. Arms crossed strictly under your chest, you furrowed a brow and pressed your lips into a thin line.
"If you would spend a little less time on the treadmill and instead help get the vehicles back in shape for the next call, I probably would have time to relax between those since you are so worried about my health" you complained immediately.
You were getting tired of having these conversations that always ended up with a discussion. The topic was always present and got on your last nerve. Of course you understood that they only wanted to protect you and keep you safe, but that was absolutely not necessary.
Before the blonde could begin to protest your argumentation, a loud whistle cut through the commotion and ripped through your eardrums. "HEY!" the brunette yelled, making you wince next to her. With a wave of her hand, she indicated that you both should remain quiet before taking up her word once again.
"Stop that crap, arguing does nothing but upset us further and make the situation even worse by one of you both being angry and saying something that you can not undo!" At the end of her announcement, Carina raised her voice a bit while examining you both. You glared at Maya and had to control yourself not to go ballistic.
"Mhmm.." you mumbled and left the room of action to disappear in the direction of the door. You quickly pulled your keys and jacket from their places before you turned back and addressed your last words to the blonde. "Maybe you should consider that your support would also be helpful instead of telling me through the flower that you want me out of your territory"
With these words, the front door slammed shut. Hastily, you ran down the stairs of the apartment complex to your parked car around the corner, which you got into and drove away with no real plan of where to go.
Loud music blared around your ears as you drove through the streets of Seattle, your mind hanging deep into the clouds. The traffic lights were on your sides, allowing you to drive through without hitting the brakes or using the clutch.
It was liberating to experience a moment without any real task, but this feeling did not last. As soon as you crossed the middle of the intersection, you could only see a black jeep from the corner of your eye, which was heading straight for you and had no chance to dodge.
All you could hear was the screeching of the rubber-coated tires on dry asphalt, subsequently, the crushing of heavy metal when your car flew over the intersection and came to rest in a nearby garage. Dust swirled through the air. A frighteningly shrill sound in your ear and throbbing in your right temple were the first things you consciously perceived.
With great effort, you managed to keep your eyes open, though your lids were heavy as lead. You carefully felt the back of your throbbing head with your right hand, while the other managed to support yourself on the console between the two front seats.
You flinched as your fingers slid over the wound. Distraught, you brought it back in front of your blurry vision as you raised your forehead from the steering wheel and looked at your fingertips, dark blood dripping down them.
What had happened?
Your gaze wandered away from them, following the blurred figures rushing wildly around what was still recognizable as a car. A hot wave of panic made its way through your body and made the sweat of fear break out of your pores.
Frantically twitching eyes, scanned the entire environment while your brain tried to process the unfamiliar images. You desperately tried to focus and organize your thoughts, but your awareness has been miserably limited by the darkness looming ahead of you.
It only took seconds for your eyes to close and the world around you to fade away with voices echoing in your ears.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Carina hurried down the hall. The imagine that presented itself was terrifying when she took the first step into a trauma room. "What happened?" she cried through the frantic attempts of desperate help as she disappeared into the crowd that had gathered around you in the small room and reappeared next to Miranda. "Car crash, somebody hit Y/n"
Her light brown eyes scanned the battered body of the woman she truly cared about, which lay still like a statue. Most of your clothes appeared to be covered with clotted blood while your face had bruises and scratches all over. Fleetingly, she perceived the information given by the attending physicians. "Extensive superficial injuries, broken ribs, possible craniocerebral trauma. Internal abdominal injuries,"
She nodded understandingly and leaned towards your face, whose otherwise glassy eyes were closed. Your pink, plump lips were dull and sallow, and matched the pale color of your graying skin. Carina´s breath caught in her throat, she could not breathe. She bit back a cry of horror, only to cover her mouth with her trembling hand.
"Is she..?"
Nobody answered her right away, finding it tough to offer her a promising answer while they fought for your life. Pressing her palms together in a praying gesture, she hoped some higher entity, that she did not necessarily believed in, could hear her and keep you alive.
"Got a weak pulse, she needs to go in. Now!" As soon as those words left the Chief Surgeon´s mouth, Carina scurried to the side with considerable effort to let go of you, letting out a stiffed moan.
She watched as your limp body was rolled out of the room with hurry, blood dripping from your hand onto the floor. The brunette looked after you and frowned, concern and worry washing over her face.
Carina knew that you were a fighter, but she also knew that she could do nothing but hope.

Y/N POV:  I feel my nerves going wild as I walk through the doors of Station 19. I used to work at Station 10 but, I got offered a position here for what reason i'm still unsure but, who says no to a job at the 19? I am really excited because I've heard so many stories about these guys and they're basically famous in the firefighter world.
I look around for a second before seeing someone walking my way.  Andy - "Hey can I help you?" she said with a warm smile.  Y/N - "Yeah, un I'm your transfer from Station 10." Andy - "Oh yeah y/l/n (your last name) right?" Y/N - "Yeah that's me." Andy - "Okay great, uhm I'll go get Captain Bishop to give you the run down." Y/N - "Okay thank you." Andy - "Oh, I'm Andrea Herrera by the way, but call me Andy."  She extended her hand for me to shake and I took it. Y/N - "Okay Andy." She gave me a smile and turned towards a door that I assume leads to the Captain's office, considering it had 'Captain Bishop' plastered across the front I would think I'm right, and she knocked on the door opened it and said Andy - "Hey Bishop the new girl's here"  Maya - "Send her in."
I walk in and sitting behind the desk is probably the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen, and I've seen many in my time. Her piercing blue eyes stared at me her beautiful blonde hair slicked back into a ponytail and a smile on her lips, wow. I sit down on one of the chairs on the opposite side of the desk and wait for her to say something. She speaks up as soon as I sit down. Maya - "Hey, so I'm Captain Maya Bishop, I don't really care if you call me Maya, or Bishop or Captain, like I really don't care but there are a few ground rules here so.." She explains all the rules about the Station like not taking other people things, or food out of the fridge for that matter, or when you're on Aid Car you don't go on calls no matter how big, you stay on your task, and most of all don't be rude or cruel to the others. She told me they're like family and family have each others back which I though was really sweet. Maya - "So now that that's over and done with, let's give you a tour of the place."
She began to lead me round the Station, showed me the locker area, changing rooms, inventory rooms, bedroom type things and so on.
The last place of the list was the beanery because that's when I'd meet everyone. We walked in while the team were eating their breakfast and chatting amongst themselves. Maya - "And this is the beanery the best place in the Station in my opinion."  The crew chuckled and murmured in agreement with her before realising she was giving me a tour. Jack - "Oh hey, you're the transfer from 10 aren't you?" Y/N - "Yeah I am, I'm y/n y/l/n by the way." Jack - "Jack Gibson." Vic - "Victoria Hughes, but everyone calls me vic." Travis - "Travis Montgomery." Dean - "Dean Miller." Andy - "I already told you my name so don't expect another introduction." Everyone laughed at her antics and then invited me and Maya to sit down.
The first minute was awkward but after the ice broke a bit it felt like we'd all been friends our entire lives. I sat next to Maya and to say I was a little nervous would be a massive understatement. I mean, who wouldn't be nervous, she's literally perfect but, she's my captain, she's Captain Bishop and I can't have feeling like that towards my Captain so I just tried to push those thoughts to the back of my mind while we were talking with everyone which surprisingly worked.
Time skip
By this point we were all just doing mind numbing chores like checking the hoses and stocking the rigs when the klaxon rang out.  Klaxon - "Aid Car 19 respond, Apartment fire Maine Street" We all rushed to get our gear on and got in the trucks. Andy was driving, I was in the back and Maya was in the front with Andy. Me and Maya had to stick together today because I'm new and she's the Captain or something like that. I didn't really understand I mean it's not like I'm a rookie I just transferred but whatever, I get to spend the entire shift with Maya, I'm not complaining. Andy slows down and comes to a stop outside a 5 story apartment building with a raging fire on the 3rd floor that was ripping its way through the building. Maya - "Okay people listen up! Herrera, Gibson go get the hoses set up and ready for use, Montgomery, Miller, Hughes start evac in the building get everyone out of there!"  She was so hot when giving orders. Oh my god. I've got to stop thinking like that.  Maya - "y/l/n, you're with me. We're doing a sweep of the building, look for structural damage that could cause harm or poses a threat to our team or possible vics inside and close any and every fire door in that place to help get this beast under control you got it?" Y/N - "Got it Captain." Maya - "Good, okay come on people let's roll."  She yelled that last part out to everyone.
We put on our masks and hooked up our oxygen tanks and set off into the building, the first floor was completely untouched by the fire and only a very small amount of smoke was coming through the vents and a lot of people were already waiting there for evacuation. The same can't be said for the second floor though. The fire had already ripped through the walls and smoke was heavy. It was really fast spreading too, we were dealing with a big one.
As we are making our way through I hear a creaking noise and head to check it out, the fire has spread to the support beams, the building is officially extremely unstable. I radio in my findings and tell Maya. Maya - "Okay, damn. We're gunna have to work a lot quicker than what we though. I've swept the whole of my side are you done?"  Y/N - "Yep, no vics and fire doors are closed." Maya - "Okay good, we're heading up onto the floor that the fire started on so please be careful while we're up there okay?" Y/N - "I will be, same goes for you okay?" Maya - "Yeah don't worry your pretty little head about me." I chuckled and followed behind her as we walked to the stairwell. She had an unfamiliar softness in her tone when she told me to be careful, it wasn't the kind of careful you'd say to anyone or in like a 'you're my friend so I care about you' way, I don't know it was just different. But, I need to put that aside because we have bigger problems right now.
As soon as we open the door to the 3rd floor a wave of heat washes over us, making the pair of us step back a bit.  Maya - "Wow, you got your fire extinguisher?"  Y/N - "Yep, you got yours?" Maya - "Yeah, don't be shy to use it okay? This is a big one and I don't  want you getting injured." Y/N - "Same goes for you Maya, don't try to be a hero, put yourself first."  She smiled before walking in and telling me to take the right side and she'll take the left.
It had been about 20 minutes since we parted ways and I had just shut the last door and finished my sweep. I looked around and there was no sign of Maya anywhere.  Over radio -  Y/N - "Captain you there?" ~ static Y/N - "Captain Bishop?" ~ static Y/N - "Maya, I need an update." ~ static
Shit. I quickly switch channels and say I'm not getting a response from Maya so I'm going to look for her.  Over radio -  Jack - "Do not go in there alone, wait for backup. That's an order from your lieutenant y/l/n." Y/N - "Gibson! I need to go in it's been over 20 minutes since we split off to sweep so who knows how long she's been down," I say in anger, "I'm going on whether you like it or not." Jack - "Hey! Y/l/n don't you da-"
I switched back to the channel me and Maya were using and tried radioing her again. Still no response. I begin to trace her steps looking at hallways with closed fire doors, which she's obviously not down because she'd close the doors as she comes out so she doesn't block herself in, and finally I see one that's completely open all the way down apart from one, right at the end of the corridor.
As I make my way down I hear that dreaded beep. It was Maya's PASS device. Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. I quietly mumble to myself as I pick up the pace and follow the sound.
I come to a room and see a collapsed, actually I don't even know what that is but Maya's under it so right now it doesn't matter what it is. I manoeuvre around it and pull up one side that snaps off and i throw it in the other direction. I pull up piece after piece until I finally see her red hard hat sticking out. I don't exactly know what came over me, probably adrenaline but after seeing that I placed my hands under that slab and lift it off her in one big motion.
I immediately crouch down and check her pulse, stable and strong. Good. As I'm doing this a piece of wall collapses right next to us. So that's what it was. Because of this Maya begins to stir as I try to give her my oxygen mask. Maya - "What happened- hey no no no, you need that." Y/N - "and? so do you, you were crushed by a wall." As I said this another massive flame went up opposite us. Maya - "Y/n listen to me, leave me here, get out now." Y/N - "No way, I'm not leaving you behind, nothing you can say will make me change my mind." Maya - "Y/n pleas-" I cut her off before she can say anything else by licking her up bridal style and I begin walking out of the building. At that point back up had arrived and we're just arriving on the 3rd floor as I was carrying Maya out.  Jack - "I told you not to go in alone!" Y/N - "Yeah well, when your Captain's PASS device is going off and she's being crushed by a wall in a burning building, there isn't really any time to wait for back up Gibson." He sighs and agrees as we walk out. Andy and Jack had handed off the hoses to Vic and Travis and Dean was helping patch people up so, they finished our sweep while I carried Maya out the building.
As soon as we got outside I took her mask of so she could breath and then took off my own. I walked over to the rig and set her down on a stretcher. She had slipped unconscious again at this point. I put the oxygen mask over her and checked her vitals.  Dean - "Hey, what happened? I heard some commotion on the radio." Y/N - "A wall collapsed on her so I had to get her out but so far from what I can tell from the work up she has no crush injury's and her vitals are stable so she would be just fine." Dean - "That's good, and thank you for saving her y/n. Means a lot and, is a very good first impression." I chuckle and say no problem. My attention is them drawn back to the stunning blonde woman i front of me as she begins to stir.  Maya - "Hey, what happened? Am I okay? I mean I'm not in any pain so I assume I'm okay." Y/N - "Yeah surprisingly you're completely fine, you must be the chosen one or something because when most people have a wall collapse on them they sustain some form of crush injury's but you? None." Maya - "It's because I'm just so awesome and intimidating that the wall was too scared to hurt me." Y/N - "Oh really?" Maya - "Yeah, mhm." I started giggling at her antics "What? You don't think I'm intimidating?" Y/N - "Well... I mean, a smile like yours doesn't exactly scream 'I'm scary be afraid of me!' to be completely honest with you."  Maya - "What's that supposed to mean? You think I've got a nice smile? Because if so then I think your smile is stunning just for the record" Y/N - "I think you've got a beautiful smile. I think you're beautiful."  Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink with this comment and she looked down. Maya - "Thanks, oh and thanks for saving my life as well." Y/N - "All in a days work." Maya - "Oh my god that is so corny!" I laugh at her comment and her smile just widens at me. Maya - "What can I do to repay you?" Y/N - "Now you sound corny, but in all honesty, you don't have to give me anything. It's not like I was just gunna leave you." Maya - "I know what I can do." Y/N - "Oh yeah, and what's that gunna be?" I ask teasingly. She grabs my hand and gets off the stretcher and drags me into the rig. Maya - "Come closer." I take a step closer to her and her other and finds it's way to my hips while the other still clutches my hand. She's a few center meters taller than me so I have to look up at her, her shining blue eyes that are usually so hard to read are now filled with love and care. I blush and look down. She brings a finger to my chin and makes me look up at her. Maya - "Hey, don't look away. Then I won't get to see your pretty face and, I won't get to give you your payment." Y/N - "Which is?" I ask completely clueless as to what's about to happen. She takes one look at me and her eyes flick down to my lips before she leans in. I was shocked at first and didn't respond but after snapping back to reality I kissed her back. Our mouths glided against  each other as if we'd done it a million times before. Her soft lips felt like heaven on mine. She ran her tongue across my bottom lip asking for access with I happily granted. My hand made its way up into her hair as her hand that was on my hips gravitated towards my waist. I pulled away to catch my breath. Y/N - "You know that was probably the best payment ever." Maya - "Really? Well you'll love the next part back at my house tonight, and tomorrow night at Joe's when I take you out." Y/N - "Oh really?" Maya - "Yep, so what do you say?" She seemed nervous. I made the Maya Bishop nervous? Wow. Y/N - "I would love to, especially the first part." She laughed and gave me a peck on the lips and let go of me. Maya - "I'll see you after the shift then." I said bye and watched her leave to go help patch up some vics.
How had I gotten so lucky?

You couldn’t remember the last time you’d gotten sick. Not an exaggeration, you genuinely couldn’t remember. Maya had a stomach bug a few months ago and she had assured you that you would end up getting it, basically promising that you would soon be joining her on the bathroom floor.
Not to brag, but you hadn’t. Instead, you’d managed to take care of the firefighter and Carina, who had succumbed to the same illness only hours after Maya. Your girlfriends were incredibly glad that you hadn’t gotten sick, both because they needed help (though they’d never admit it) and because you were….somewhat of a pain when you got sick.
It didn’t happen often, it practically never happened, but when it did you got hit hard. And when you got hit hard, you got a tad whiny. They both agreed that you had the right to be overdramatic when you got sick it was never a minor cold, it was the flu, pneumonia, food poisoning, strep, and even chickenpox. The three of you were all confused about that last one, but you had been holding onto your girlfriends with everything you had.
The morning you woke up with a stuffy nose and a sore throat you knew that you were in for a week of hell. The alarm blared in your ear, pleading with you to turn it off and get ready for the day. The sound hammered against your skull, pounding nails of fire into your brain. No matter how much you wanted to, you couldn’t make yourself get up. You couldn’t move, your stiff limbs absolutely refused the orders to move.
“Y/n, turn it off,” Maya grumbled, nudging you in the hip with her knee. She was wrapped around Carina with one of her legs draped over your torso. The woman was practically the definition of a bed hog, but you couldn’t help but enjoy it. The way she starfished out across the mattress was so cute (most of the time).
When you didn’t move to quiet the alarm, she sat up, groaning loudly as she smacked the stupid device.
“I do not know why you’re complaining, it’s your alarm, Maya,” Carina said in response, a yawn following immediately after her sentence. The blonde smacked her phone until the blaring stopped and you let out a sigh of relief, curling back up so that you were a small ball.
“Y/n? Are you okay bambina?” The brunette asked, sitting up beside Maya. You sniffled in response, rubbing your knuckles against your runny nose. A harsh cough erupted from your lips, your chest burning and your body convulsing with each expulsion of air.
You leaned over the bed and spit a glob of mucus into the trash can, wondering what was wrong with you this time. The crackling in your lungs and what was probably a middle-grade fever suggested bronchitis. You’d heard Carina talk about medicine enough to diagnose yourself pretty well over the years.
Tears sprang to your eyes and you touched your throat, the light probing of the skin causing more pain somehow. You turned to squish your face into the pillow, trying to seem less babyish than you felt. Every time you got sick your emotions went absolutely haywire and it was humiliating.
One of your girlfriends (probably Maya, she was closer) laid a hand on the nape of your neck and gasped softly. You could practically see the worry on her face even though you were facing away from her.
“Car, she’s burning up.” The blonde murmured, getting a soft curse from Carina.
“She came to see me at the hospital the other day. It was overrun with flu patients.” The Italian replied, looking a little pleased with herself for remembering the expression. You rolled over, your lower lip quivering as you looked into the loving faces of your girlfriends.
Carina leaned across Maya and laid the back of her hand against your forehead, her expression souring. She tucked a few strands of hair behind your ear and rested her palm against your cheek lovingly.
You pulled away to sneeze into your pillow, the loud sound wearing you out even further. You honestly couldn’t remember the last time that you had felt so sick, but you knew that it would probably end in hospitalization if you didn’t cooperate.
You began to cry in earnest, shaking with coughs as your sobs irritated your throat and lungs. Maya, who wasn’t always the most physically affectionate, pulled you into a tight hug, allowing you to tuck your head under her chin, against her chest.
“Okay, babe. You chose the right time to get sick because Car and I both have the day off. Just lay back down and we’ll get everything taken care of. Does that sound good?” She murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head.
You sniffled and nodded into her chest, beginning to feel more comfortable with the idea of being sick. It was almost frightening to think that you would be alone, but knowing that the women you loved would be there to make sure that you didn’t die was nice.
“Did you feel sick yesterday Y/n?” Carina asked, prompting you to think back to the day before. Now that she’d mentioned it, you’d felt sort of heavy yesterday and a bit tired, but you’d chalked it up to a poor night's sleep the day before.
Maya had had a particularly bad nightmare and had woken up screaming. It had just been the two of you so it had fallen to you to take care of her, to calm her down. It had been a long night for the both of you, after she finally fell back to sleep you had remained awake just in case the blonde needed you again.
“Kinda.” You rasped, wrinkling your nose in shock at how your voice sounded. It was the first word that you had spoken during the conversation and you truly hadn’t expected to sound as bad as you did, especially in just one word. It was congested and hoarse and grated against your raw throat.
“Geez, that doesn’t sound great. I’ll go make you some tea, see if we can sort that out a bit.” Maya pecked your forehead before slipping from the bed and padded out of the room on bare feet, seeming to forget about the slippers which she typically wore.
You rubbed your nose against your fist and frowned over at Carina who was scooting closer to you, wearing what you liked to call her ‘doctor face’.
“Carina-”
“Hush. May I feel?” She asked, gesturing toward your throat. God, she was preparing to give you a full exam. You loved her very much, but you hated medical professionals. You coughed into your shirt and forced yourself to sit up, a rush of dizziness flooding through your head as you did so.
“Yeah.” You mumbled, giving a weak shrug. Carina placed her hands at the base of your throat, probing swollen glands with incredibly gentle hands. She moved up to under your eyes, frowning slightly as you winced when she pressed there.
“Your sinuses feel a bit swollen. Did it hurt?” You nodded and leaned forward to lay your head on yer shoulder.
“Oh, cara mia. In a few hours if you do not feel any better we can go to Grey Sloan and get you seen.” She said gently, rubbing your back in a comforting manner. You didn’t want to go to the hospital, but if she was right about a sinus infection you knew that you wouldn’t have much of a choice.
“Alright, I’ve got chamomile tea with lemon and honey and a thermometer,” Maya announced, walking back into the room with not only that but also a bottle of what may be the most vile thing on earth: cough medicine.
“Thank you.” You managed, taking the steaming mug gratefully. You blew on the hot liquid and took a careful sip, a soft smile spreading over your cracked lips. It was the perfect temperature and although you couldn’t taste it, you were sure that it was amazing. It soothed your throat and that’s all that mattered.
“Of course babe, it’s the least I could do. What’s with the face, Carina?” The blonde asked, nodding toward the Italian woman who was gnawing on her lip with worried eyes.
“We are going to end up in the hospital. It’s always the hospital with this one.” She grumbled, squeezing your elbow affectionately. There was no real malice behind her tone, just mild annoyance mixed with concern.
Maya chuckled and sat back on the edge of the bed, scooting you over a bit. She dragged the thermometer across your forehead, resting it on your temple as the three of you waited for the beep.
“We’ll try to avoid that this time, right Y/n/n?” You cracked a smile and took another sip of the tea, settling back into bed. For now, you weren’t going anywhere. “Oh, by the way, I snuck the medicine into the tea so you’re drinking it all.”
The look on your face must have been priceless because both women started to cackle, Carina even going as far as to double over as tears came to her eyes.
“That was uncalled for.” You grumbled, eyeing the drink in a new light. It wasn’t like you could taste the medicine, but knowing that it was in there made you hesitant to drink it. Part of you debated trekking to the kitchen to dump the whole thing out.
“Drink it all and I won’t help Carina make you soup later.” Maya threatened, reminding you of her utter lack of skill in the kitchen. She had given you and Carina food poisoning once over bad lasagna and you had vowed never to eat something she cooked again.
“Fine, I’ll drink. But I want cuddles. Will you give me cuddles?” The brunette on your left wrapped her arms around your waist and kissed your collarbone, pushing her nose against your skin.
“Of course bella. All of the cuddles. We can watch whatever movie you want and I’ll make Pastina with Maya locked in another room.” Carina chuckled, nudging the tea a bit closer to your face. You took a deep sip, almost finished with the mug.
Now that you knew it was in there what was left of your sense of taste was picking up on the medicine. It was no longer the best thing that had happened in days, it was now disgusting.
“You can’t taste for shit, stop complaining. Come on, one more sip and you’re done.” With a slight eye roll (which you regretted, it hurt) you took one big gulp, finishing the rest of the medicated tea.
“You win.” You rasped, shoving the mug back towards Maya, who was wearing an amused expression on her face.
“Thank you, my dear.” She singsonged, taking the mug as she leaned forward to kiss your forehead.
A non-fever-related blush crossed your cheeks and you hummed quietly, curling back up under the blankets. For now, you could relax. Maybe it would get worse, but even if it did, these two had your back. Dating an EMT and a doctor could really come in handy.

Happy Holidays (Kate Bishop x Romanoff!Reader) - Chapter 16

Kate and (Y/n) make their way up to the apartment, (Y/n) watching their six.
“We’re at the door,” (Y/n) tells Clint.
“We’re good,” he replies, looking through the apartment window with his binoculars.
(Y/n) places a cautious hand on Kate’s shoulder as the archer wiggles the contraption in the keyhole. Kate tenses when the lockpick stiffens, and she turns the doorknob and pushes the door open.
The door creaks as it swings open, and (Y/n) tenses, her grip tightening a little on Kate’s shoulder.
The two step into the room, (Y/n) close behind Kate, her senses on high alert - like her mother had taught her.
Always be aware of your surroundings, Natasha had always said, and (Y/n) had learned her mother’s craft, though not in the ways Natasha had been taught - and not like Mom had ever told me what had happened in her early life. (Y/n) shakes away the thought just as lights in the corners of the apartment flash.
Kate immediately pulls out arrows, firing at each of the lights, covering all four in a purple sludgy, goo.
“You okay?” Kate whispers, a frown etching her face at the distracted look on (Y/n)’s face.
“Hey, what was that?” Clint asks, having seen the flashing lights through his binoculars.
“I don’t know,” Kate replies, leveling her bow again. “There are, like, strobe lights attached to the wall.”
“What do you mean, strobe lights?” Clint asks.
“I don’t know,” (Y/n) replies, stepping silently towards one of the goo patches on the wall.
“Yeah, what do you see?” Clint questions.
“What’re we looking for?” Kate asks and (Y/n) hums her agreement.
“A watch, vintage Rolex,” Clint answers, and (Y/n) and Kate begin to search the kitchen and living room of the apartment. “Belongs to someone I used to work with.”
“Is it Mom’s?” (Y/n) wonders aloud, confused as to who Clint could be talking about.
“No, it was someone before Nat,” Clint replies, and (Y/n) grows more confused.
“Is that the whole story, Clint?” Kate asks, seeing the confused look on (Y/n)’s face.
“They’ve been out of the game for a long time,” Clint says, “but their identity is still attached.”
“They?” (Y/n) wonders aloud.
“Hmm,” Kate hums. “And if the Tracksuits find out about it?”
“It would blow their cover,” Clint replies. “Good-bye, friend.”
“Hey, (N/n (nickname)),” Kate murmurs, and (Y/n) looks over, thankful for the darkness so Kate couldn’t see her flushed cheeks.
“You find it?” (Y/n) asks.
“Mmm hmm,” Kate pockets the Rolex, and sees SHIELD, the SHIELD emblem, and Agent 19 engraved on the back.
“Agent 19,” (Y/n) reads. “Is this Bobbi’s?” (Y/n) asks Clint through the COMMs. “Isn’t she Agent 19?”
“She is, but she took it from my friend when they retired,” Clint replies.
“Hang on a minute,” Kate spots a notepad a few feet away on another counter. “Somebody, somebody is taking notes on your family, Clint. And, uh . . .” Kate’s voice falters, and she shows the notepad to (Y/n).
“What?” Clint asks, and (Y/n) can hear his frown of concern.
“Clint Barton,” (Y/n) reads, “wife, Laura; daughter, Lila - age fourteen - son, Cooper - age sixteen - son, Nate. Niece - in quotation marks - (Y/n) Romanoff, age twenty-two.”
“Kate. (Y/n). Get out of there now,” Clint orders and (Y/n)’s gaze darts across the apartment.
“What? Why?” Kate asks, lifting her bow and nocking an arrow.
“That light’s an alarm. It’s a silent alarm for people that can’t hear,” Clint tells the two young women inside the building.
“Oh, my god,” Kate mutters, catching sight of the picture frames on the console table.
“That’s Maya’s apartment,” Clint says. “All right, I’m coming -” Clint’s voice is cut off by a grunt, and all of (Y/n)’s instincts scream - RUN!
“Kate,” (Y/n) turns to the archer beside her, whose eyes had widened with terror.
“C-clint? W-what’s going on?” Kate’s voice quavers and (Y/n)’s heart clenches with pain.
Kate doesn’t even really see what happens next, but the next thing she sees is (Y/n) and Maya fighting, trading heavy blows.
A particularly harsh blow to the face makes (Y/n) recoil, blood pouring from her - now - broken nose.
“Maya’s here,” Kate rasps, stepping forward to meet Maya.
“Yeah,” Clint grunts in reply. “I can see that.”
“Then why didn’t you tell us?” Kate questions, pulling (Y/n) back as to avoid more injury.
“I did,” Clint replies as Kate blocks an attack from Maya.”Maya’s on the roof with me.”
“No, Maya’s definitely here,” Kate chucks a vase at Maya, but it misses and shatters against the wall.
Maya lands a blow, punching Kate in the face and (Y/n)’s face grows hot with anger.
“A little -” Kate starts but (Y/n) moves to meet Maya again. (Y/n) blocks a kick to the ribs with a hand, and stumbles slightly, and she kicks (Y/n) back into the couch and she flips over the back, her head smashing into the coffee table.
“Give me a second,” Clint replies, grabbing his bow. “Incoming.” Suddenly, there is a sound of a large metal object hitting the side of the apartment, and (Y/n) shakes the dizziness from her head, and stares at the zipline leading to the rooftop across from the building. “Get on the zipline,” Clint tells the young women.
“Kate, let’s go,” (Y/n) says, pushing Kate towards the open window, having to dodge multiple attacks from Maya to get Kate to the broken window safely.
Kate turns, about to ask whether (Y/n) wanted to go first, but then she sees the blood trickling from the back of her head.
“Go, now,” (Y/n) orders, tossing Kate her bow and pushing her towards the window.
Kate listens, using her bow to slide about halfway down the zipline before the angle is so shallow that she can no longer slide down.
(Y/n) lets out a curse, grabbing the end of the zipline, pulling down slightly, increasing the tightness of the rope, and allowing Kate to slide the rest of the way down.
(Y/n) looks around now for something that she could use - as Kate had used her bow - but then she looks at her gloves before she just goes for it.
(Y/n) stares at the woman in the mask, and the woman lifts a gun.
Clint panics slightly, stepping between the woman and (Y/n).
Someone kicks both Clint and the woman back - Maya had joined the rooftop fight.
Kate lets out a harsh grunt of pain as her bow is thrown to the side and she stumbles back, falling to the ground.
Maya glowers at the masked woman, and they start fighting each other for a moment - enough time for (Y/n), her mask now pulled up over the bottom half of her face, to move over to help Kate to her feet.
Suddenly, a bright red light distracts (Y/n) from Kate, and she looks up to see the masked woman having lifted her arm, shooting what (Y/n) could only describe as her mother’s Widows Bites - just red - at Maya. The deaf woman flies backwards, landing on her back.
Kate had moved faster than (Y/n) had realized, because when (Y/n) looks back over to the masked woman, time seems to slow.
The masked assassin spins around Kate, and time seems to slow even more when the woman throws Kate off the building.
(Y/n) freezes completely, collapsing to her knees, and she’s thrown a memory. The memory.
“Under totally different circumstances, this would be totally awesome,” Clint says, and (Y/n) smiles slightly, taking her mother’s hand.
. . .
Natasha lets out an annoyed groan, “I bet the raccoon didn’t have to climb a mountain.”
“Technically, he’s not a raccoon, you know?” (Y/n) grins at her mother.
“Oh, shut up,” Natasha ruffles her daughter’s hair and (Y/n) swats her hand away, looking exasperated - but amusement flashes in her eyes. “He eats garbage.”
“Welcome,” a voice echoes, and all three snap into action - Natasha draws both pistols, Clint draws a sword, and (Y/n) pulls out one pistol.
“Natasha,” a cloaked figure rasps. “Daughter of Ivan. Clint. Son of Edith.” The figure seems to turn towards (Y/n), standing lightly to the left of Clint and Natasha. “(Y/n). Daughter of Natasha.”
“Who are you?” Natasha snarls, the two older Avengers stepping forward to block (Y/n) from the cloaked figure’s view.
“Consider me a guide . . .” the cloaked figure replies, “to you . . . and to all who seek the Soul Stone.”
“Oh good,” Natasha replies sarcastically. “You tell us where it is, then we’ll be on our way.”
The cloaked figure mutters something in German that neither of the Avengers can make out. “If only it were that easy.” The man swishes towards the edge of the cliff. “What you seek lies in front of you. As does what you fear.”
(Y/n)’s chest tightens as she looks over the side of the cliff. Natasha slides a pistol into a holster, and closes her hand around the back of (Y/n)’s suit.
“The stone’s down there,” Natasha rasps.
“For one of you,” (Y/n) realizes that the cloaked figure was the Red Skull. She’s heard stories. “For the others . . . In order to take the stone . . . you must lose that which you love.” (Y/n)’s jaw clenches. “An everlasting exchange,” the Red Skull continues. “A soul for a soul.”
. . .
“How’s it going?” Clint chuckles nervously, pacing around the top of the massive rock. “Jesus.”
(Y/n) sits beside her mother on another rock.
“Maybe he’s making this shit up,” Clint says aloud.
“No,” (Y/n) says, the first time she’d spoken in the half hour of shock that had gripped the three Avengers. “Remember what Rocket said? He said that Thanos took his daughter, Gamora, and he got the stone, but she never came back.”
“I think we both know who’s not sacrificing themselves,” Natasha says, and she and Clint meet gazes.
(Y/n) glowers at her mother for a moment, then she gets to her feet, making her way back over to the edge of the cliff to look down at the steep drop.
“Whatever it takes,” Natasha murmurs, though it was loud enough for the others to hear.
A look of disgust flickers over (Y/n)’s face - not at the prospect of her mother possibly sacrificing herself to save the world, but the fact that she might have to live without her mother. I won’t let her sacrifice herself, (Y/n) comes to the conclusion. Mom’s a more important figure to the world than I will ever be. It has to be me.
“Whatever it takes,” Clint replies, his eyes straying past (Y/n) to the abyss beyond.
Natasha glances over at Clint, then rises to her feet. “If we don’t get that stone . . .” Natasha’s voice is softer, so that (Y/n) can’t hear, “billions of people stay dead.”
“Yeah,” Clint replies.
“Then I guess we both know who it’s gotta be,” Clint mutters.
“I guess we do,” Natasha replies, her gaze strays to her daughter, who is still looking down at the drop. Her chest tightens at the thought of having to leave her daughter alone, but the only thing that she can think is that Clint’s kids - her niece and nephews - were younger. That had to be enough.
Clint reaches out, taking Natasha’s hand, squeezing it gently.
“I’m starting to think we mean different people here, Nat,” Clint mutters.
“For the last five years, I’ve been trying to do one thing,” Natasha replies, but Clint holds up his other hand to stop her. “To get here. That’s all it’s been about. Bringing everybody back.”
“No, don't you get all decent on me now,” Clint replies.
“What, you think I wanna do it?” Natasha asks. “It can’t be her,” Natasha can’t look at her daughter again, knowing what she was about to do. “I’m trying to save you and her, you idiot.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t want you to save me,” Clint pulls his hand from Natasha’s. “How’s that? Natasha, you know what I’ve done. You know what I’ve become.”
“Oh, I don’t judge people on their worst mistakes,” Natasha replies.
I’m sorry. I love you, (Y/n) thinks, takes a deep breath, and steps over the edge.
Though it felt like years, (Y/n) had only been stuck in time for a few seconds. She scrambles to her feet, and sprints to the edge of the building, her mask slipping down to hang around her neck.
Her chest untightens as she realizes that Kate hadn’t hit the ground - she was being suspended about twenty feet above the ground by a wire.
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” (Y/n) mutters, staring down at Kate.
“Pull me up!” Kate cries, and Clint runs over to the edge of the building.
Clint simply reaches down, grabbing the wire keeping Kate suspended in the air. A split second later, Clint severs the wire with his knife, sending Kate through a collection of string lights below. “Get outta here,” he calls down to the young archer, now lying on her back on the ground.
Kate lets out a frustrated huff, and storms off.
(Y/n) lets out a grunt as a figure pulls her back, and she hits the cement rooftop. She springs to her feet, getting distracted by the slamming of a door.
Before anything can happen, an arrow blasts everyone to the ground, including the archer the arrow had come from - Kate Bishop.
There is a high pitched ringing noise, and the masked figure shakes their head.
Kate rises to her feet, and Maya joins her, kicking the archer back and over the courtyard gap.
Kate’s back hits the edge of wall, and she lets out a yelp of pain. Kate gets to her feet, leveling her bow, and pointing it at Maya. WIthin the next five seconds, an arrow is imbedded in Maya’s shoulder.
Maya meets Kate’s gaze for a moment, before she pulls the arrow out of her shoulder, running for the edge of the building and jumping onto the rooftop of a lower building.
(Y/n) runs towards the masked figure, and she and the woman - (Y/n) assumes - trade blows, as if they’d had similar training.
(Y/n) rips off the woman’s mask, and then gets electrocuted by what she again guesses is a Widow’s Bite. She grabs at her neck.
The woman stands, her back to Kate, but then at the sound of Kate’s bow, being drawn, turns around.
The blonde woman shakes her head slightly at Kate, and the archer loosens the bow. She fires a grappling hook at the roof of the building and the blonde woman repels down the side of the building.
Kate runs to (Y/n)’s side as she pulls the remains of the electric webbing from the side of her neck.
Kate’s touch is gentle as she tilts (Y/n)’s head to the side to see the damage.
“Who the hell was that?” Kate asks.
“You don’t want to know, Kate,” Clint replies.
“I cannot be your partner if you don’t tell me what’s going on,” Kate replies, helping (Y/n) to her feet.
“You’re not my partner. Do you understand that?” Clint snaps, startling (Y/n) slightly. “You never were. Neither of you.”
(Y/n)’s expression hardens. “Excuse me?”
“Someone has hired a Black Widow assassin,” Clint replies.
“Fuck,” (Y/n) mutters. Now she knew why her and the woman’s fighting moves were so similar.
“This has gotten very real, very quickly,” Clint backs farther away from the two young women. “So I’m doing this alone.”
“No, you’re not,” Kate replies, and (Y/n) sees Kate’s eyes watering - as though she was about to cry. (Y/n) takes Kate’s hand, squeezing it gently. “Look, I know that tonight didn’t go as planned, but we chose to be here. I understand the risk, I understand all of that.”
“I’m not gonna do it,” Clint’s jaw tightens. “D-do you hear me?” There is a moment of silence and he says again, “Do you hear me?”
Clint moves towards the two young women, to grab his backpack. “Go home. It’s over.”
Kate goes to pull her hand away from (Y/n)’s, but (Y/n) just tightens her grip in Kate’s. The young archer looks surprised for a moment, but she allows (Y/n) to pull her away.
