Hi, Captain
Tumblr media
Maya Bishop x Fem!Reader
First Maya Bishop Fic!
I got this idea from a tiktok I saw yesterday, and immediately thought of writing this.
Let me know what you think!
-grey
———
Maya and Andy arrived at an apartment building in the city. They were driving around in the aid car and were the closest to the location, so they were assigned to the case. They walked in to the lobby, walking up to the front desk.
“Hi, we got a non-emergency call at this location. Do you know who called?” Andy asked, looking around for anyone who could’ve needed help.
“That would be me.” You said, rolling your wheelchair closer to the two.
“Hey. I’m Captain Bishop and that’s Lieutenant Herrera. What seems to be the problem.”
“Oh, wow. They sent the big bosses. Uh, well sorry for calling, I just didn’t know what to do, but I just got back from a trip and the elevator is out of order and as you can see, stairs isn’t an option for me alone.”
“What floor are you on ma’am?”
“Just call me Y/N, no need to be formal, and it’s a long way up. I’m on the twenty-eighth floor.”
“Then you can just call me Maya.” She turns to look at Andy. “How do you wanna do this?”
“One of us can carry her and the other carries the chair?”
“Would you be comfortable with one of us carrying you?”
“As long as I get to my floor then I’d be fine with it.”
Now here you are, on the tenth floor, Maya carrying you on your back, Andy following behind with your chair.
“How are you doing Captain? Still going strong?”
“We trained for this, so I’m doing alright for now.”
“What about you back there?” You ask Andy, holding your arm tighter around Maya’s neck to look at Andy.
“I’m doing fine. Your chair is surprisingly very light.”
Eighteen floors later, Maya sets you down in your chair where you roll yourself to your door, the two firefighters following closely behind.
“Welcome to my humble abode. Would you like something to drink? Water, or a sports drink for some electrolytes? I’ll just give you guys both.”
“This is a very cozy place you for here.”
“It is. I’ve only just recently moved in a couple months ago.” Wheeling over to where they stand, looking out the windows, you hand them their drinks. “I can’t thank you both enough.”
“It’s no problem at all. But how are you gonna get back down?” Andy downs all her water.
“Don’t worry, they’ll have it done by tomorrow night. I have nowhere else to go before then.”
“We have to go, but it was great meeting you.”
“It was great meeting you too, Captain.”
———
Rolling your chair to the front of Station 19, you ring the doorbell. Seconds later, the door opens to a male firefighter.
“Hi, how can I help you?”
“Good morning. I was just wondering if Lieutenant Herrera and Captain Bishop are here?”
“Can I know what you need them for?”
“They helped me out yesterday with getting up to my apartment, so I thought I’d thank them properly with some homemade goodies.” You at, pointing to your lap that had one big box and two smaller boxes.
“They’re currently out in a call, but should be back soon. Why don’t you come in and wait inside.”
He holds the door open so you can roll yourself inside.
“Oh! This box here on the bottom is actually for all the firefighters. I didn’t wanna bring some goodies and leave everyone else out. Could you grab the Mr…”
He grabs the bottom box when you lift the other two off.
“Uh, Montgomery. But just call me Travis.”
“Okay, Travis. You can call me Y/N.”
“I’ll just bring this upstairs and be right back.”
———
Maya and the rest of the team file out of the fire truck, taking their heavy gear off, each doing their own thing. As she walks towards her office, she sees someone familiar.
“Y/N! What a surprise. What are you doing here?”
“Hi, Captain—”
“—Maya, please.” She interrupts you.
“Well, Maya, I just wanted to stop by to thank you and Andy properly. I’ve just—”
“Hey! Who’s this?” You’re interrupted once again, this time by the whole team walking in.
“Y/N! Hi.”
“Hi, Andy. I was just telling Maya I wanted to thank you both for yesterday and made some baked goodies.” You said, handing them a box each. “There’s a bigger box of them for the rest of the team that Travis brought upstairs.”
“Baked goodies?” Vic asked very excitedly, running up the stairs, other on her tow. “You’re the best!” She yelled out, followed by other ‘thank you’s’ from the team.
“Thank you Y/N.” Andy followed the others.
You and Maya were now left alone downstairs.
“Would you join me in my office? I’d like to ask you something.”
“Lead the way.”
Holding the door open, she lets you enter first, closing it behind her.
“I don’t know if this is unprofessional since I am currently on the job, but I wanted to know if you’d like to go on a date with me sometime? Hopefully tonight?” After not hearing an answer right away, Maya grew nervous. “Or, not. It- it’s okay, probably a stupid idea…”
As she’s nervously rambling, she doesn’t notice you staring amusingly at her with a smile. Deciding to put her out of her misery, you interrupt her.
“Maya!” She looks at you with wide eyes. “I would love to go on a date with you.”
“Great!” She clears her throat. “Uh, cool, cool, cool. That’s awesome. I’ll text you.” She opens her office door going out, then opening the front firehouse door, you following after her. “I will text you.”
“You would need my number for that.” You smirked.
“Right! Right. Uh, here.” She hands you her phone, hands a little shaky. “Could you put your number in. Thanks.”
Handing her phone back to her. “I’ll see you later Captain.” You said with a teasing smile, exiting the station to your car.
“See you later indeed.”

Could you write a one shot where there is a really bad storm hitting Seattle. Maya and Carina are stuck at the hospital and the fire station, and are trying but unsuccessful at reaching Reader. So they are both worried out of their minds. Then Maya has to go out on a call and find it was R who wrecked their car trying to get home before the storm hit. (Could be severe or non-severe injuries) R goes to the hospital with Maya in the aid car and Carina joins them in the ER.
Tumblr media
Authors note: I heard the song "What the water gave me - Florence + The Machine" while writing this story. I would advise you to listen to the song as well while reading through this story to get the feel of a real Station 19 rescue mission like in the series. Of course it's not a must! ♥
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sky over Seattle steadily darkened as pitch-black thunderclouds rolled in like a tidal wave. The wind began to howl as if playing its own somber tune, rushing restlessly through the skyscrapers of the city. Streets were quickly emptied as people rushed home for shelter. The trees bent under the force of the storm as if begging for mercy, but the storm was relentless. It thundered as if Zeus himself wanted to keep the crowds in their place while the rain fell in thick, large drops and threatened to drown Seattle. The sound of the wind, the falling of the rain and the thunder symphoned in a unique melody and conveyed a frightening atmosphere.
The telephones of the active fire brigade beeped in unison, a warning of the approaching storm that came in way too late. The tough captain of the fire department swallowed hard as she could not reach you, who worked just a few minutes away from her. But you did not answer, the connection was already disrupted, appearing to be off. "She wanted to be here fifteen minutes ago, Carina," both her and the brunette's worries grew with every minute through the phone as they imagined the worst possible scenarios without having any sign of life from you.
"Calm down, Bambina. There is probably total chaos on the streets. Fallen trees, flooding. Maybe she is just stuck in a traffic jam or an emergency came in."
The fire station was flooded with red alarm lights, while the walls shook from violent gusts of wind, preventing the young blonde from speaking further. Raindrops pelted against the roller shutter door, which opened more with every second, allowing the lightning strikes to break through their vision. -Fire engines 19 and 23. Ambulance 19 to Cedar Road Lane 6. Car struck by tree, person seriously injured and trapped.-
The firefighters rushed around, donning their suits and gear before grabbing their helmets. Like-minded, they rushed to the waiting vehicles, only Maya stopped briefly. „Please let me know if you hear anything from her. Stai attenta, bambina!" (Be careful, bambina!). She nodded, knowing that Carina could not see the gesture and hung up before hopping into the squad cars and starting the sirens. Pressing the accelerator, they raced through the whirlwind around them, trying to avoid the tree branches as much as possible.
Lightning flashed across the dangerous-looking sky, and thunder rolled at the same time like an angry demon. Maya clung to the steering wheel as she tried to keep her eyes on the wet, blurry road. They made their way through the flooded streets, branches flying through the air and trash cans tipping over and spilling across the sidewalk.
It was as if the world around her was collapsing in a chaotic dance of wind and water. "Listen guys, I know you want to help the person in the car, but first and foremost, think about your health and your life," the storm roared so loudly that it seemed like it wanted to tear the entire city apart and hardly anyone understood what the captain was saying over the radio. "This is one of the worst storms in years, a state of emergency has been declared and normally no one should be on the roads, so it is a mystery to me why anyone would be so dumb to be driving,"
Her team was clearly tense, the radios crackling in their ears, but they nodded to the captain as confirmation that they had understood the message. Maya did not want to lose any man or woman in her group to the storm. "We are approaching the scene of the accident. Be ready for anything, people. We can do this!" she said calmly and encouragingly while the fire engine´s sirens blared through the dark night.
When the team from Station 19 arrived at the scene of the accident, they were confronted with a dark and serious scene. The car is crammed in by a huge tree and is badly deformed, the hood of which is completely smashed and dented while some branches have pierced through the windshield and turned the interior of the vehicle into a field of rubble.
The fire team jumped out of the emergency vehicles and fought through the wind and rain to reach the car. But the captain remains rooted to the spot in front of the stern of the wreck, looking absentmindedly at the license plate, which was hanging askew. "Y/n.. IT IS Y/N!" she shouted unhindered amid the raging and deafening thunder and her team stopped their tasks in shock, Andy and Gibson focusing their gaze from the thick tree over to the woman in the driver's seat, who Warren was already trying to find vital signs on.
Maya lunged forward, her heart pounding with worry. Her helmet was almost blown away by the wind as she stepped closer, the flashlight shaking in her hand as she shone the light through the shattered window. Her heart seemed to skip a beat as she recognized the familiar features amid the devastation. She was confirmed that she did not have a number twist on the license plate, but that it really was you. Seriously injured and trapped in the car. “Y/n!” she cried, her voice filled with a terror she had never known before. Maya knew she had to stay calm now, that she had to be the professional captain, but her heart was screaming with fear and worry.
The other members of the fire department worked quickly and precisely. "Dean, Montgomery. Grab the hydraulic cutters! We need to get her out of here as quickly as possible. Her vital signs are at risk of plummeting!" shouted Warren. They used cutting tools to fight against the metal of the car on the passenger side and the resistance of the tree while Maya knelt next to the wreckage and held your hand, which was probably thrown out of the broken window after the impact and was now lying on the scratched paint of the outer door. "It looks bad in there! Be careful not to hurt her any further, approach carefully!"
Your eyes were dazed with pain and fear, but you were breathing, albeit weakly. Hearing her voice, you seemed to find some peace for a moment, your dull eyes glued to hers. Desperately wanting to say something, you opened your mouth from which blood began to ooze, but your crushed and injured lungs did not even let in air.
"Hold on, darling. Do not say anything, I am here. We will get you out of there, I promise." The blonde whispered, her voice firm to reassure you even as her own thoughts were caught in a chaos of worry and despair. The minutes stretched endlessly as her team struggled to bend the metal and free their captain's fiancée. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the metal gave way. Using their combined strength, Vic and Warren pulled you from the wreckage, carefully, yet as quickly as possible. As soon as they freed you, they carried you to the ambulance. Maya followed them, never taking her eyes off you. Your condition was serious, but you were still clinging to life. "Carina is coming. She is going to be at the hospital, she will be by your side the second you get there. But you have to fight now, okay? Fight for us."
The rain continued to beat down on you, the storm was still raging, but in the midst of this darkness and chaos there was a glimmer of hope- you were saved, and she would do anything now to help you fight through this storm. But it was hard to keep positive thoughts as the storm continued to sing its destructive song. She closed her eyes tightly as she rode in the ambulance and prayed, with your bloodstained hand in hers, that the next morning would bring a certain light to your health.

Lick U Clean*
Tumblr media
Title: Lick U Clean Pairing: Maya Bishop x Reader Prompt: 99. "You know there wasn't a single thing to eat in the kitchen until you walked in." MINORS DNI, 18+ Warnings: smut, top Maya, bottom reader, oral (f receiving) R WC: 789
Maya huffed as she leaned against the counter. She was absolutely starving, but Y/n had only been leaving the grocery store whenever Maya called. There had been ways to avoid her hunger pains, but Maya had been excited to see Y/n after a week of being apart. Y/n's schedule at the university had been hectic, and once that had ended, Maya had to leave town for a conference. The station was receiving high marks for its functionality, even after becoming the laughing stock of the Seattle Fire Department. Y/n had been upset that she wasn't available to attend, but Maya understood and wouldn't have wanted everybody to see how bashful Y/n made her.
"Okay, so, I couldn't get a few things, but we should be all stocked up for the next week or so. Hopefully you can come with me next time," Y/n said as she brought the bags into the kitchen. Usually, Maya would have been right by her side to help her, but instead she was stuck to her spot. Y/n glanced over her shoulder once all the bags were on the counter to where Maya was standing and staring at her. "Are you going to help me?"
"In a moment, I promise." Maya pushed herself up from where she had been leaning against a countertop to wrap her arms around Y/n's waist and pull her backwards. "You know there wasn't a single thing to eat in the kitchen until you walked in."
"Oh, really?" Y/n asked teasingly. She knew that they'd have to be quick about this, but she was also certain that Maya had been thinking about this for just as long as her. Maya hoisted Y/n up onto the counter and secured herself in between Y/n's legs. Y/n bit her lip as she tried not to moan at the feeling of Maya's hips pressing against hers. She didn't want Maya to know how quickly things could be over. Y/n wanted to prolong the moment between the two of them, even if it was just for a few minutes.
Maya undid the buttons of Y/n's shirt as she pushed it off of Y/n's shoulders. Oversized flannels were a staple to Seattle culture according to Y/n, but Maya was pretty sure that Y/n only really wore them out to get away with not wearing a bra. Maya wouldn't complain about that little detail though. Instead, she groped both of Y/n's breasts and teased Y/n's nipples with her fingers. They stiffened beneath her touch, and Y/n wasn't able to hide those moans and gasps from Maya.
"I love it when you get turned on like this," Maya muttered as she kissed a path down Y/n's stomach. Y/n's skin was flushed, and her breathing was already starting to become uneven. Maya tugged at Y/n's shorts and underwear, managing to get both of them down Y/n's legs in one move. There was a moment of pause before Maya moved back in between Y/n's legs. Y/n wrapped her legs around Maya's waist as she pulled Maya in for a kiss. Maya leaned into the kiss, forcing Y/n to lean backwards until her back was against the marble countertop. Y/n unlinked her ankles to let Maya step back and kneel down in between her thighs.
Maya placed her hands on the insides of Y/n's thighs, gently rubbing little circles where she knew Y/n was most sensitive. A feather-light and slow kiss was placed on Y/n's center. Maya's resolve to take things slowly dissolved the moment that she tasted Y/n's arousal. Maya lapped hungrily at Y/n's cunt, as if she was trying to gather each drop so it didn't go to waste. Y/n threaded her fingers in Maya's hair and pulled the blonde's head up so that Maya' tongue could focus on her clit. Maya could have stayed completely still and let Y/n grind herself to completion, but Maya preferred to have an active role in her partner's pleasure. She worked with the gyrations of Y/n's hips to time things perfectly.
Y/n came quickly and with Maya's name being screamed from the top of her lungs. Maya's chest swelled with pride as she stood up and helped Y/n off of the counter. She placed the flannel back over Y/n's shoulders as she ushered her out of the kitchen. Y/n laid on the couch wrapped up in her shirt and a blanket while Maya put away the groceries and returned to her with a small snack for the two of them to share.

“Stop fighting me!” The girl, who you found out was named Kate, yelled. She had you pinned down below her, your knees being freed as you took it as your shot to knee her in the stomach. She groaned, the small moment of weakness allowing you to take her arm and pin her down to be in your previous position. You quickly grabbed the knife from your pocket, placing it against her neck as you watched her struggle to escape.
“Please, I won’t hurt you, just let me go.”
“And who said I don’t want to hurt you?”
“Trust me, you don’t want to.”
“And how would you know that?”
“I can tell, Y/N.” Your eyes widened briefly before you relaxed, trying your best to hide any emotions she could use against you. You had never told her your name, but you guessed she had done some research on you beforehand. Smart move.
“I won’t let you kill her. Even if I have to take her spot, I will die protecting her.” She furrowed her eyebrows as the oxygen started lowering in her body. If she didn’t stop you soon, she knew this would be close to her last breath.
“Who is ‘she’ meant to be?”
“Maya Lopez. I’m not letting you near her.” That only confused her more. She wasn’t here for Maya, she was here for someone else. She had yet to know his name, only knowing he lacked a great amount of hair and was on the larger side. He had conversations with her mother, conversations she later learned led to her father's death when she was little.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She struggled to get the words out. You noticed her breath shortening even more and removed your arm from her neck in fear.
“What do you mean you don’t know? Of course, you know! You’re here to kill her.” Kate coughed multiple times and rolled over on the floor, trying her best to gain the little strength she had left in her.
“I’m not here to kill her, I’m here for him.” She grabbed a photo of the man she was after, watching as the gears turned in your head. You let out an embarrassed sigh and stood up, walking over to her and awkwardly offering your hand to help her stand. You could see the red marks staining her neck, the guilt building up even more.
“Shit, I’m sorry. I-I thought-”
“You don’t need to explain yourself, I understand.” There was a small silence filling the area before she released a chuckle. You looked back at her, silently urging her to speak, anything to fill this unpleasant quiet nature.
“These marks definitely won’t be going away for a while.” She noticed your guilt-ridden face and shook her head.
“Don’t feel bad, sweetheart, they’re not that bad.” She said, “If anything, they’re kinda hot.” You laughed at her words, slowly trailing over to her and motioning for her to look up. She did as you asked. You examined her red skin while her eyes couldn’t leave you. She watched the concentration on your face with a smirk, the woman you just beat up was being cared for by you so gently, it was almost as if you hadn’t just choked her out. You finally caught on to her glances and nervously looked back down.
“Don’t look away, sweetheart. You’re beautiful.” She snapped her fingers in front of your face to get your attention back on her.
“Are you seriously trying to fuck me after I just tried to kill you?” You crossed your arms against your chest as she stared at your breasts, they were practically calling her name. She licked her lips and moved her eyesight back to be inline yours.
“Hm?”
“Did you even hear what I said?” She nodded, clearly lying her way out of it.
“Okay,” You started, “Then tell me what I said.” She closed the small space between you two, imagining your plump lips on hers. Your fit body beneath hers once more, but this time, it won’t be due to a fight. Her hand made contact with your cheek, cupping your soft face and pulling you closer until you could feel her breath against yours.
“I think you were saying something about how badly you wanted me to kiss you right now.” She trailed on, not being able to waste another second and connecting her lips with yours in a hurry. Her hands found place on your lower back near your butt as your placed themselves on her chest, slowly going down as the kiss progressed. You could feel her hardened length pressing against your core, begging for any sort of touch.
When it got difficult to breathe you finally released her lips, your eyes widening as you backed away from her lust-filled self.
“Kate, we can’t do this.”
“Why not?” You had just kissed her, practically made out with her and now you were denying it?
“If my boss finds out-”
“Don’t worry about her right now, baby, just think about this.” She could see you debating with yourself on what you wanted to do. You wanted more than anything for her to fuck you, have you make a mess all over her until you couldn’t take it anymore. But you knew the consequences as well. If Maya found out you had slept with someone she had been looking for for nearly 3 years, she’d kill you.
“Tell me you don’t want this.” Your lack of response caused her to continue. “Tell me you don’t want me to fuck you. I bet you’re such a hard little worker, willing to ruin your wants for Maya’s needs. Are you my good girl, baby?” You nodded breathlessly.
“Yeah, you are. Now why don’t you get on your knees for me, love.” Your knees hit the ground with a small force, your hands trailing to her pants. You cupped her covered length and smiled as you could hear her breath hitch. She smiled and fluttered her eyes shut, your fingers slowly unzipping her jeans until she was left in just her boxers.
“Stop being such a tease and just-”
“Just what, Katey?” Her cheeks reddened at the nickname, you took notice.
“C’mon, Kate, tell me what you want me to do.” You mimicked her words from earlier, chuckling to yourself as she groaned in frustration.
“Just- fuck me already!”
“Now, now, baby, didn’t your mother ever teach you some manners?” She was nearly fed up with you, it wasn’t the time to tease, she was desperate. Her cock was dripping in pre cum as you slowly trailed her boxers down her legs.
“Please, Y/N. Please fuck me.”
“That’s more like it.” Your hands went up and down her hips for a split second before finding their way to her leaking cock. You wrapped it around her length and kissed the head, smiling as you caught the small taste of her.
You made her feel things no woman had ever made her feel. She was in need of more, your mouth wasn’t enough. And when she fucked your face with little to no mercy, she could only imagine how your pussy must’ve felt. Your walls gripping her with dear life as she filled you up until you were dripping.
“Lay down, baby, I need to fuck this sweet cunt.”
“Fucking on a rooftop, real romantic, don’t you think?” Her cock prodded at your hole, her fingers finding their way to your pulsing clit. Her lips attacked yours in a frenzied haze. She couldn’t get enough of you, of your body, of the way you fit so well in her arms.
“My perfect little girl, so pretty you are.” Her free hand went to your nipples under your shirt, pinching and tweaking them until you were squirming beneath her.
“Shh, it’s alright, my love. I’m gonna take care of you, I promise.” You nodded, the words trying to escape only failing as the pleasure became unbearable.
“Kate-” You gasped out. “I need you. I need you inside of me.” You cupped her cheeks and made her stare directly into your eyes, her pupils being dilated and blown out. You were just the same, staring at her with a certain want in your eyes.
“Didn’t your mother ever teach you your manners, hm?” She mocked, listening to your whines with a grin. You could feel her slowly filling you up, your mouth letting out a gasp before dropping open as moans tumbled out of you. She kissed your forehead, letting her lips linger for a moment too long.
“Tell me when I can move, okay?” She waited patiently as you adjusted to the stretch. You had never felt so full. You knew it was wrong, yet, it felt so sinfully sweet. You prayed nobody would ever find out about this, but you didn’t want to stop. You didn’t want to consider the consequences, you just wanted her.
“You can move, Kate.” You mumbled out, your hand interlocking with hers as she started a slow yet harsh pace. You bit your lip as the fiery pain slowly faded into one of pleasure.
“Oh, daddy.” You moaned quietly, feeling Kate stop as she rendered what you had just said.
“What did you just call me?” Before you could apologize she continued, “Say it again.” Hearing those words leave your lips was like heaven. She couldn’t help the way she thrusted into you with such force, you drove her insane.
“Please, daddy, please fuck me harder!” Her hand snaked up to your neck, your breath being cut short as she choked you harshly. It was enough to leave a mark to tend to tomorrow, you assumed it was payback to the ones you left on her.
“That’s it, moan for daddy, baby. Be the perfect little slut I know you are.” The coil in her stomach tightened as you clenched around her.
“Fuck! Daddy’s gonna make you a mommy, baby. You want that? You want daddy to fuck you full of my cum?”
“Yes, daddy! Please fill me up, I need it so bad!” She tried her best to warn you, but she failed. Her release shot deep inside of you, filling your tight hole as she stilled. You snapped, the two of you finishing in sync. You scratched down her back leaving red marks behind. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head, Kate’s hand resting on your stomach as she felt a small bulge. She grasped your hand into her own and placed it on your stomach once more.
“You feel that? You feel how deep I am inside of you?” The euphoric feeling was a long-awaited one. It had been months, almost years since you had felt that good. You didn’t want it to end, but you knew Kate couldn’t be seen near you. So, you soaked in the little time you both had left, holding her against you tightly and not letting go until she had to say goodbye once and for all. Just to be safe, she gave you her number, telling you not to call on your phone but a burner phone in case Maya tracked who you called.
It had been close to a month since that day and it had never left your mind. You’d lay in bed, all alone as you slowly fingered yourself, trying anything to get that same feeling you had with Kate. But as of late, you’d been beyond sick. You had a feeling you knew what it could be, Kate hadn’t worn a condom and while you were on birth control, it didn’t always work. You had called in sick, lucky enough to be granted the day off as you were closer to the boss and she knew how hard you’d been working. The timer went off, and you turned the test over and prepared yourself for the worst.
“Shit.” Two lines. Positive. You were pregnant. And it was Kate’s baby. The woman your boss had been after for years was going to be the mother to your child. What had you gotten yourself into?

“Male, 35, GSW on his abdomen, unconscious at the scene but woke up in the ambulance.” Ben shouts outs as he and two doctors wheel the gurney inside the hospital.
“What happened?” Y/N asks, staying outside, though ready to go in if extra hands were needed.
“Attempted break in, homeowner shot him.” Andy explains, pushing the ambulance doors shut.
Humming, Y/N glances towards the road. “Is there anyone else coming in?” Andy shakes her head with a slight smile. “Boring.” She cringes instantly after the word leaves her mouth. “I hear what I said.”
Andy laughing pulls Maya’s attention away from the wheel. She opens the door and turns her head towards them, her eyes widening the moment she notices Y/N.
“Quiet day, huh, Doctor Y/L/N? Want me to bump my head into something so you get something to do?”
“Please, Andy, I’m so bored.” She groans, looking at the lieutenant with desperation in her eyes. “I need brains to poke.”
Shaking her head, Andy smiles. As she opens her mouth to answer, Ben walks out of the hospital. “Lets go Herrera and Warren.” Maya shouts out, closing the driver’s seat door.
“Sorry Y/N, I’ll see you later, yeah?”
“Yep! I’ll be at Joe’s today if you want to join me.” Y/N smiles and starts backing away from the aid car. “Warren! The lack of date nights you and Bailey have is starting to affect the rest of us. Fix it.” She half playfully commands with a slight smirk and one of her brows raised.
“Copy that Y/L/N.” Ben chuckles before climbing to the back of the car.
“Who was that you were talking to?” Maya asks, her eyes locked on to the road to seem as nonchalant as possible.
“Dr Y/N Y/L/N, a neurosurgeon, also a friend of mine.”
“Huh.”
Andy looks at the side of Maya’s face with furrowed brows. “Why?” The blonde shrugs, making Andy gasp. “You’re interested in her!”
“No, I didn’t say that.”
“You didn’t need to. If you want to, I can totally set you two up. She’s single.” She wiggles her brows with a giddy smile, always happy to play matchmaker to her two closest friends. “Ooh this is so exciting!” Clapping her hands together, Andy celebrates the revelation and takes her phone out to start texting.
“Andy, no. Do not set me up with her, you hear me?”
With a grin, Andy turns to look at Maya. “She’ll be at Joe’s this evening if you want to accidentally bump into her there.”
“I won’t.”
“Okay.” Andy grins.
“You’re interested in Doctor Y/L/N?” Ben pipes up from the back, having heard the entire conversation.
Maya lets out a short breath. “I am not interested in anyone, I don’t have time for that.”
“You had time for Jack.” Andy mumbles, which makes Ben let out a quiet oooh sound.
“Okay, first of all, that wasn’t a thing. We had fun for a short time, I didn’t get engaged to him.”
“Okay, now.” Andy points a finger towards a slightly grinning Maya. “That was uncalled for. That- I was a different person back then.” There wasn’t any tension between them, they were able to tease each other about these things now. “Just go see her, I think you two would like each other.”
Maya groans, pacing in front of Joe’s door. She isn’t sure if she should go in, and the fight inside her head isn’t helping her at all. She wasn’t going to go there, but she happened to walk past the bar and started wondering what would happen if she does go.
Pulling her shoulders back to straighten her back, Maya grips the handle and opens the door, stepping inside.
As she walks to the bar top, her eyes wonder around the room, looking for the one she is there for. She notices Y/N sitting at a small table near the dart board.
Clearing her throat, Maya orders a drink and walks over to her. “Hey, you’re Doctor Y/L/N, right? Andy’s friend.”
“Hi!” A bright smile appears to her face as she turns to look at Maya. “I am, and you’re Captain Bishop. Wanna sit down?”
Maya nods with a grin before sitting down opposite of her. ”Andy speaks very highly of you. How long have you known each other?”
“Does she now?” Y/N giggles. “I met her when I was in med school, so, for a long time. Now tell me, in what context have you two been talking about me?”
With a chuckle, Maya tilts her head. “In good context.”
“Ooh, that’s not gonna be enough.”
“Maybe I’ll keep it to myself for now, I don’t want you walking away just yet.”
“Using my nosiness against me, I like it.” She smirks, taking a sip of her drink. “Is this one of your captain moves?”
Maya shrugs. “I could show you my captain moves, if you’d like to come home with me.” She leans her elbows to the table so she could be closer to Y/N. There’s a constant sly smile on her face as she stares at Y/N, studying her expression.
“Well, I can’t say no to Captain Maya Bishop, can I? However, I don’t do things once and then run away.”
“I’ll take you to dinner.”
“Lovely.” Y/N smiles and lets the rest of her drink slide down her throat before standing up. “Lets go then.” She gives her hand for Maya to grab, which she does as she leads them out of the bar.

As Maya stormed down the block, coat whipping around her, she could hear Diane in her head.
"You aren't running from your wife…you're running from what becoming a mother -- rather suddenly, I might add -- is bringing up for you. Your fear of abandonment. Your fear of passing on what was done to you. Fear of doing to Liam what was done to you. A desire to protect Liam from the dangers of the world, some of which came too close to home when you saw your brother at the parade. You're actually facing the reality of the danger you put yourself in every day."
Maya kicked at an errant pine cone in frustration, furious at its audacity to be in her pathway. She watched it bounce into the road.
Diane was so full of shit.
And she was also so right.
She stopped at a crosswalk, contemplating where to go. She was still learning the neighborhood. She had driven through dozens of times in her tenure at 19. It was a different view from down low; when her blood wasn't spiked with adrenaline.
It was a cute area, with plenty of ranch-style homes and a few craftsmans, all with yards and dogs and SUVs and either a miniature soccer goal or a basketball hoop in the front. She knew of a park a few blocks to the west; she wanted to take Liam there to walk around when the weather finally warmed up.
The moon gleamed brightly above her -- full and voluminous. Out in the open, it was actually kind of pretty. She often saw it through smoke, through the window of the engine, the skylights of the barn as they backed the trucks in after a call.
In the distance, she could hear a siren.
She wondered, briefly, how the night was going for the crew.
At work, it was an omen and magnet for the unusual -- A call where they ended up uncovering a whole family of raccoons hiding in someone's attic; a crashed charter bus carrying the University of Washington's Husky band, where the director was less worried about the minor injuries of his students than he was about the damaged sousaphones and snare drums.
Weird shit always happens on a full moon.
No wonder she and Carina fought. That Liam wasn't sleeping.
Diane's voice chimed in to refute almost immediately.
"This didn't happen because of the full moon. It happened because you have a new baby and you're in a new house and you're maneuvering those changes."
The voices of reason in her head had changed over time. Her father, for years, barking at her to be better, work harder, to always win.
Eyes forward.
Occasionally, it was her own. Or Andy's. Carina's was most prominent.
Lately, though, Diane started to sneak in. Calm and firm and loving and honest and little tolerance for bullshit, at times making her flinch, but not want to run away.
The siren changed tone. Or maybe it was one of the neighborhood cats she saw on her morning runs.
It sounded like a baby's cry.
Her heart rate spiked, her breathing shallowed.
Liam needs you.

New one-shot went up last night. Enjoy!

Summary: Maya and Carina have a second date right after their first one.
A/N: Well, it has been a while and yes, as always I have been going through a lot of stuff. But, I wanted to put this forward as I was enamored by last night's episode. I hope you like it.
_____________________________________________
After talking to Andy about the photos, and calming her friend down enough to know she wouldn't do anything rash, she returned to her bunk. Now that the photos were out of her mind, all she could think about was Carina.
She closed her eyes and the feeling of her wife's lips on hers returned. She smiled from ear to ear as she replayed that kiss in her mind again.
She gently ran her fingers over her lips. That kiss was amazing. So much better than their first one. It was everything she had hoped it would be, but it was so much more. The first time they kissed, they were strangers. They had just met.
But, this time, the woman she was kissing was the love of her life. She was her wife. So, the kiss was familiar. But the sensation also felt new. As if just like their relationship, they were also exploring physical intimacy from the very start.
She couldn't stop thinking about Carina. So, when her phone chimed with a notification, she moved faster than she ever had to reach it.
“I had the greatest time today, Bambina. I hope we can do this again.”
She called her wife instead of replying and it was answered before the first ring.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
Both of them were silent after that. They were both listening to each other through the receiver. Maya touched her screen softly, just to feel closer to Carina, and she gently cleared her throat.
“Where are you, Dr. DeLuca?”
She asked and she could feel Carina smiling at that name.
“I am sitting in my car, in the station parking lot.”
Maya shot up on her bed, now worried.
“Why? Are you okay?”
“There is this firefighter in the station, Hot, blonde, muscles for days. You may have seen her around. I kissed her today and I can't seem to shake off the giddy feeling.”
“I might know who you are talking about and if I didn't know any better I would say you have a crush on that firefighter or something.”
They both chuckled at the mention of the conversation Carina has had with Vic a few days earlier.
“What if I do?”
Carina replied and Maya held her breath. She didn't want to cross any boundaries, and she didn't want to invade Carina's space, but she did want to let her wife know how much that thought excited her.
“I think she will be honored. She  will tell you that your crush is just as fiercely reciprocated, and she will ask you to come back inside so that both of you can see the stars from the roof of the fire station.”
She knew Carina was biting her lower lip, thinking about the answer.
“If I come in, do I get hot chocolate?”
“Anything for you, Dr. DeLuca.”
“Do you have little marshmallows?”
“As a matter of fact, we do.”
“I would love to watch the stars with you, Bambina.”
“Don't get out of your car, please. I will come out to get you.”
Maya goes through the station and reaches the door of the familiar car leaning down. Carina looked at her with a smile plastered on her face.
She never realized how much she missed that carefree, somewhat flirty smile till she couldn't witness it every day she woke up, till it didn't greet her every time they looked at each other.
“Are you ready for date number two, Dr. DeLuca?”
The Italian nodded enthusiastically unlocking the car door. The lieutenant offered her a hand and she could see just a moment of hesitation on Carina's face before she entangled their fingers.
“Lead the way, Lieutenant Bishop.”
She smiled and pulled Carina along. They first went to the kitchen and she let go of Carina's hand reluctantly to make her the promised hot chocolate. The next few minutes were spent looking through the kitchen for all the ingredients for a hot chocolate.
Carina hopped on the counter as Maya started making the hot chocolate. She could see the gears in Maya's mind running at about a hundred miles an hour.
“What is going on Maya?”
She asked and Maya snapped her head up, looking at her favorite brown orbs staring at her with worry.
“Nothing. I just… I am just thinking about what is going to happen when we talk to the Chief tomorrow.”
Carina pulled Maya close by her hand and put one of her hands on her cheek. Maya leaned in the touch, savoring it.
“It's going to be fine, Bambina, and even if it's not, we will get through it. Okay?”
The use of we brought tears to Maya's eyes. She took a deep breath in and placed her softly over Carina's that was still on her cheek. She gently held onto the brunette's fingers and kissed their tip.
“We will.”
She promised and placed another kiss on Carina's palm before letting go of her hand to focus on the task at hand.
They were conversing, smiling, and just enjoying each other's company when they were interrupted by Vic.
“Ohhhh is that the fancy hot chocolate? Can I get some? Please?”
She pleaded and before Maya could say anything, Carina nodded her head. Maya looked at her surprised and she shrugged.
“We'll share.”
As soon as the hot chocolate was done, Maya poured it into two mugs, putting some marshmallows in both. Carina picked up one of the mugs and said bye to Vic before she got out of the kitchen.
“You are going amazing, Bishop.”
Vic said, taking a sip of the hot chocolate, and Maya chuckled.
“Thank you.”
She said genuinely and hopped up the stairs to catch up with her date for the night. Carina was waiting for her at the top of the stairs.
As soon as they stepped on the roof, it reminded her of the last time they were there. She could feel Carina's fingers tensing in hers as well. She slightly increased the pressure in her grip, in case Carina decided to leave her for good, in case she realized she deserved way better than the chaos that she caused.
They both looked at each other. They had always been good at communicating without words. But, right now none of them could sense the storms raging inside each other's hearts.
“I am so sorry.”
It was Maya who broke the silence.
“I know I sound like a broken record by now. But, I am. I am sorry that I made you feel like you cannot trust me, I am sorry that you have to think twice before holding my hand, I am sorry that nothing I will do in this lifetime will ever absolve me from what I have done to you.
I know I have been trying to win you back. But, today, I want you to know that I will let you go. If you want to leave me, I will let you go. You deserve someone so much better than me.”
Maya's hand still had a strong grip on Carina's. But, she wasn't looking at her anymore. Her eyes were now focused on the moon in front of her. She could see it blurred out from the curtain of her tears. She was waiting for Carina to leave, to take the offer when she was engulfed in a strong hug.
The hug almost threw her off balance, but she managed to stay afoot and realized that her beautiful wife was holding her with everything she had in her.
“I don't want to leave, Bambina. I never did. Even during our darkest times, the thought of never being with you again, never feeling your arms around me, has only brought me immense pain. I know we have a lot to work on, but I do not want an out. I want you. I need you, Maya. I cannot… Please don't leave me.”
Maya could feel the sheer force in her wife's grip on her. She felt her shirt getting soaked with her tears. As if she feared that if she let go, Maya would disappear. Her grip on her wife instinctively tightened.
“I am not leaving, ever. I am here.”
She whispered assurances in her wife's ears as she gently caressed her hair. She settled on one of the benches as Carina held onto her tightly. She was still gently stroking the doctor's back as Carina finally stopped sniffing, and looked up.
“I am sorry for being such a mess.”
She said, her voice hoarse. Maya softly wiped the tears off her cheeks and softly kissed her shoulder.
“You have nothing to be sorry for.”
Carina was now a bit calmer and she reached for her mug of hot chocolate.
“Our hot chocolate is now lukewarm chocolate, Bambina.”
She said with a cute pout on her face.
“Well, we can always make more.”
She smiled widely and took a sip before passing the mug to Maya.
Both of them knew they had a long way to go. They knew they had a long road ahead. Very hectic jobs to go back to, and very hard decisions to make.
But right there, in each other's arms, sharing hot chocolate, it felt like time stopped. For a few moments, it felt as if nothing and no one else existed in the world other than those two.
“We are going to be okay.”
Maya mumbled softly and Carina tightened her grip on Maya's neck, snuggling closer.
“We are.”

Marina x daughter!reader?
Daughter works at GSMH as a trauma specialist but she takes Owens advice about possibly joining the army. Carina finds out and goes mama bear on him.
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
You, a trauma specialist at Grey Sloan Hospital Memorial, have tried everything to reshape your life over the past few months. Although you were satisfied with the current version of it and grew up in a stable environment in which your mothers had a harmonious marriage and were always there for you when you needed them, there was a huge lack of variety.
Already a few months ago you noticed that you felt more uncomfortable in your work and since then you have had the desire to do more with it in order to remain happy. But it was still totally unclear in your eyes how to change it. After a while, your colleague Owen Hunt noticed it too and decided to talk to you while you were restocking and reorganizing the emergency room inventory.
You listened carefully with a searching look as your experienced colleague began to talk seriously about his own experiences in the army, about the discipline, the varying challenges and the opportunities that presented themselves. He emphasizes his words with deep and clear gestures while you nodded every now and then, showing signs of uncertainty but also more obvious interest. Your work became more and more forgotten the more you listened to him and the further the conversation went, the more your interest increased and the happier you seemed to be about the new opportunity in your life.
After a few minutes of deep conversation and the army memories shared by the emergency surgeon from his time, you looked at him seriously but still with a soft smile, looking for an answer. Owen placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder and nodded encouragingly. You seemed to have already made a mental decision. Now you just had to get through the hard part of this plan- you had to tell your parents.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Days had passed when you had the conversation with Owen Hunt, and since then you could not live a minute without the thought that your life could change drastically. However, you still could not bring yourself to even begin to tell your mothers what you had planned for your future and what idea had implanted in your head. And so you hid every piece of information you had requested in your room, hoping neither Maya nor Carina saw it until you were ready to confess it to them.
But during your shift at Grey Sloan Hospital, Maya walked through your room with a vacuum cleaner and, unbeknownst to you, began cleaning it. While she was vacuuming under your bed, she came across a hidden package from Owen to you. Curious, she pulls it out and opens the already opened package. In it she found an information sheet for the army with your name on it. She stares at the paper in disbelief, her expression alternating between confusion, concern and surprise.
Maya could not believed what she was holding in her hands and her eyes filled with tears as she tried to understand why you had not told Carina or her about your decision while she pulled out her cell phone to call her wife. The blonde sat down on your bed while the phone rang, the vacuum cleaner already turned off and lying on the floor, still holding the information sheet in her hand. Her eyes were blank as she tried to get her wife on the phone. "Maya, I have two women in labor-"
“Our y/n wants to join the army,” between quiet tears and the crackling on the line, she thinks about the possible reasons that could have motivated you to take this step, and another wave of concern and anger overcomes her as she stroked the trauma surgeon's name written with a thick sharpie. "What are you talking about, bambina?" the brunette spoke up, trying to process the sudden news.
The world seemed to stand still for a moment around the two women as they struggled with the thoughts that perhaps you were about to make a big change in your life that they did not know about. "I was going to vacuum her room and then I stumbled upon a package from Owen. There are information sheets and even a registration form," Maya heard the Italian woman's deep sigh and growing annoyance, so she kept her mouth shut and listened to the noise in the background, waiting for an answer. "I will call you back Maya, I need to have a word with someone."
With these words, Carina ended the conversation with her wife and quickly ran to the emergency room. The atmosphere is tense as the brunette, with an angry expression on her face, charges at the man she had already had her sights on when the elevator doors opened. Her eyes spark with anger, Owen immediately turning around as she screamed his name, immediately recognizing the tension on her face. "Carina, what-"
"How dare you put such nonsense into my daughter's head?" the Italian woman lets out her anger with a loud outburst, stabbing her finger several times with full force into his chest. She waves her hands wildly and her voice is sharp and angry. Owen tried to answer, but she cut him off with another angry torrent of words. Her gestures become more energetic, her voice louder. "You have to know better! She does not belong in the war!"
"She wants more discipline and more variety. New opportunities. So I told her about the army, nothing more, calm down." words fly back and forth between the two as Carina screams out her frustration, disappointment and anger at Owen's actions. Her anger seems to know no bounds and she lets out all of her emotions without regard for loss. "Idiota! Come puoi essere così idiota!" (Idiot! How can you be such an idiot!)
The trauma surgeon tried to defend himself, but Carina didn't let up. She looked at him hatefully and crossed both arms over her chest. "You know what the army does to you, you yourself were plagued with PTSD, you even wanted to strangle your wife in her sleep!" the angry words hit him like lashes, and he seemed to be overwhelmed by her emotions. He tried to get her attention, but Carina was too caught up in her anger to listen.
The tension in the room reaches its peak and Owen finally becomes silent and resigned. The words dry up, but the anger is still in the air, heavy and burdensome. Carina disappears in total frustration and leaves the former soldier standing in the emergency room, all eyes on him.

Title: Favorite Things
Pairing: Maya Bishop x Reader
Prompt: "You look better in my clothes than I do."
Word Count: 484
The midday sunlight poured in through the halfway-shut blinds. Ash groaned as she tried to turn away from the light. She could have sworn that Maya had closed the blinds fully whenever she had left that morning. Ash didn't remember much from the morning whenever she had just barely been awake enough to register that Maya was even leaving.
They had spent their night drinking. Ash didn't know why Maya had been so upset, and even if Maya had let it slip, Ash was too drunk to remember. They had done shot after shot before finally just getting their own respective bottles to hold. There were bits and pieces of the night scattered around in Ash's memory, but nothing concrete.
"Shit," Ash grumbled as she slipped on a sweatshirt she found on the ground by the bed. It wasn't hers, but Maya was supposed to be off at work all day. Besides, Ash doubted that Maya would care that much. Maya had been getting sappy, and Ash was almost certain that they were so close to moving in together. No more splitting up their time between the two homes. Maya had been adamant at first she wasn't going to get into another relationship, but she had gone back on that word within a couple of months of casual sex.
"I thought you'd never get up." Ash jumped at the sound of Maya's voice. Maya laughed at Ash's reaction, but the laughter slowed whenever she saw what Ash was wearing.
"What?" Ash asked. Even if Ash had been fully focused on getting to the kitchen for coffee, she would have noticed the way that Maya was staring at her. The stare wasn't a bad one, just one that Ash knew meant she'd probably be late getting ready for work.
"You look better in my clothes than I do," Maya said as she got up from the couch. Ash let Maya pull her into an embrace. Maya was still staring at Ash, which made the other woman a bit nervous, so Ash leaned up and kissed Maya. "Although, I have to admit that it's not my favorite thing to see you in."
"Oh, and what would that be?"
"Nothing." Maya grabbed the bottom of the sweatshirt and lifted it up over Ash's head. Ash wasn't completely naked, but a shiver ran down her spine as her torso was left exposed.
"This doesn't really seem fair. You've got all your clothes on, and I'm half naked," Ash pointed out. Maya lifted her up over her shoulder and carried Ash back into the bedroom. Ash giggled as she was tossed onto the bed, and once more again whenever Maya started taking off her clothes.
"Better?" Maya asked. She twisted her body just enough to subtly pose and show off her muscles.
"Much." Ash reached out to grab Maya by the hips and pull her onto the bed.

(repost from a previous reblog from @/hope-4better because i feel guilty. Sorry!)
What Maya did, IS a blackmail ATTEMPT which has failed. But let's dive a little on what might be the reason why Maya did it.
Right now, thanks to her actions, she has successfully made enemies from both sides : 1) the side that would lose if she gains (Beckett for his post), 2) the side that has the power to benefit her (Chief Ross).
Now, she is punished AND bullied by both parties, which is a TORTURE if you've ever been stuck in one.
And Maya was right, she was impulsive at making that call. The smarter, more strategic move is to gather evidence of the affair and anonymously tip a higher authority than Ross, and THEN, do the same with Beckett - eliminating her enemies one-by-one.
BUT for Maya, they are NOT her enemies. She just wants her job back.
Maya is essentially okay with the affair - just like she is okay with Vic's affair with Chief Ripley. She has no intention of destroying anyone's career (Ross's, or Beckett's), or destroying anyone's relationship, or breaking Andy's heart if she revealed the news, or damaging Sullivan's reputation/promotion - She. Just. Wants. Her. Job. Back.
She didn't care about Sullivan's promotion. She didn't even care about Beckett - but him being incompetent, did give her MORE reasons to make the attempt rather than, like she said during the greencard interview, continuing to 'clean up their piss'. If Beckett is a respectable Captain, i bet she wouldn't take the shot. Afterall, she had suggested Andy to replace her because Andy was 'rightful' and 'she deserves it'.
She wants her job back and now there are more reasons that she SHOULD.
So, the fastest and most 'harmless' way, from her perspective, is to "threathen" Chief Ross with a Fact. For Maya, that would be an easy decision for Ross to make : "give this kid her job BACK, and i won't have to lose anything."
BUT she didn't expect Ross would be righteously FAIR to Beckett, when she wasn't rightfully fair to Maya. We have to note that Maya didn't understand WHY she couldn't get a fair trial or get her captaincy back. "I saved a kid's life!"
And after Chief Ross's talk, she still couldn't understand WHY her rightful action was being severely punished. She didn't put her team's life in danger compared to a drunk Beckett, reading a map upside down and almost leading the team into a disastrous outcome WHICH SHE had helped to prevent.
So, in her mind, Chief Ross didn't care about what was right or wrong. In her mind, Chief Ross was impulsive and emotional, and probably cared about her relationship more than anything (based on the battlefield story that she told Maya). And every evidence that she gathered, pointed that Chief Ross would make the easy decision and everyone would benefit from her action ; Carina, her family in the making, herself, Chief Ross, Sullivan, 19, Andy, SFD.
But she was wrong.
And now she IS painfully learning that, "Maybe there's no reason for this. Maybe i am punished because I am... ME." And she voiced it out in the engine that everyone deserved compassion and empathy but her.
And everything around her is slowly pointing to that.
On the rooftop, her ask to Carina was simple as much as it was complicated, "Please, just be on my side".
It is a plea : "Please, don't punish me too."
"Hey, I was trying to get my job back, okay? For us. For our family."
Carina scoffed and called it crap.
Well, maybe it is crap. Maybe Maya Bishop is selfish. She is already dark and twisted.
"You know what, fine! So, what if it was," she said it again, "I want my job back. Is that a crime?"
No, it's not. But blackmail is a crime.
Maybe Maya Bishop should be heartless and objective; just gather evidence and report it! That wouldn't be a crime, right? Just like what Sullivan did when he reported Beckett. After all, he was doing it to save the team.
And Carina couldn't have a baby "with THAT"
"With that?"
She checked another box in her head.
It's me.
----------
To conclude, in climbing their career ladders, simply put :
Maya is Chaotic Good which is, sadly, the people who probably suffer the most amongst the goodies. She was a competitive runner who came second because she stopped to help someone who got injured during a race and got punished for it. And now the pattern repeats.
Sullivan, on the other hand, is Lawful Evil and that's why he is so proud of himself for always 'winning' by the rule. I hope he will learn his lessons too as much as Maya is learning hers. He is not necessarily a bad person, but he is certainly cunning when it comes to achieving what he wants - a natural politician.
If you can have Sullivan's level-headedness and patience, and Maya's valiant heart, chances are, you'll do better in your career progress without creating too many enemies.
For relationship advice, career advice, and more, experience life 😎

Standing in the Ruins
Summary: The world as Kate knew it may have ended but she was just getting your world ready.
Pairing: Dark! Kate Bishop x Reader
Genre: Plot and stuff with some nice little smut
Word count: 2.9k
Warnings: Dark Fic (mentions of killing, kidnapping, weapons) Semi-Public Smut, slight degradation (If I missed anything important, let me know)
A/N: I became obsessed with the idea of Kate keeping the Ronin suit, and here we are.
***MINORS DNI*** ***18+***
Tumblr media
Twisted Promise AU (Coming Soon)
If Kate was asked what she wanted to be when she was ten years old, she would have replied that she wanted to be a superhero; just like Hawkeye. The world was bright and exciting as a child, especially when the Avengers existed. That’s how the young Bishop grew up, wide eyed and a naive sense of confidence. It was the blip that destroyed every ounce of hope for most people, and it shoved the once blindly optimistic Kate into reality. Her childhood idol was nowhere to be seen, seemingly hiding while the rest of his team fought against the most dangerous enemy to land on Earth’s soil.
She went to work for her mother at Bishop Security, uncovering her deal with Fisk accidentally. It should have bothered the once morally righteous young brunette to know what Eleanor was doing to make sure the business thrived, but for some reason she couldn’t find it in herself to care. Keeping her head down at the company, Kate got her work done and really only got close to Maya. The two bonded over being the youngest and having a lot of pressure put on them.
When tales about a dark hooded figure with a sword that was taking down organizations across the globe began to spread, Fisk began to spread his assets. Kate took an even larger step away from the spotlight in regards to the company, deciding to focus on college and her sports. Her mother was pleased by this, always wanting to protect her daughter.
The Avengers tried, one last time, to reverse the blip. It was a very public and violent fight that ultimately ended in failure. The entirety of public heroes were gone, dead, or rumor has it some are stuck in different universes and timelines. Society didn’t trust them anymore and there was no longer a need for them but the hooded swordsman came back. The Bishops weren’t worried until Kingpin was targeted.
When the Ronin showed up to the penthouse it was Kate that he came face to face with, shock filling his body when he realized she was just a kid. A young girl dressed in a hoodie with a flimsy looking sword attached to her hips, an incredibly innocent looking expression on her face. He was expecting Fisk, or at least his group of workers. His hesitation was his downfall as Kate used his second of doubt to disarm him. The young Bishop wasn’t the one to drop him to his knees though. No, that was Maya the silent accomplice to the young archer. Shooting him three times with a smile on her face; once in the knee, once in the torso, and once in the sternum.
Curiosity got the best of Kate as she unmasked the so called vigilante that had been wreaking havoc across the globe, and there bleeding out on her marble floors was her childhood hero Hawkeye. Clint Barton, the person that made her want to take up archery and the person who saved her life many years ago. The person that disappeared when Thanos came to Earth causing Kate to turn her back not only on him but the idea of heroism. Believing that her hero was nothing but a coward, instead delving into her mother’s operations, he was ultimately the reason the young archer fell into the darkness in her soul.
It was Kate’s arrow, shot from a small loaded crossbow that was concealed between her shoulder blades, that drops him dead. Instead of following through with the original plan of burning the body and suit, the archer decides to take up the mantle. Following in her once-hero’s footsteps in a demented way by working for Fisk, killing any target regardless of who it is.
Carrying the infamous retractable sword, along with a small crossbow and collapsible bow, Kate under the guise of Ronin became one of the most feared members of Fisk’s organizations. The other two were Maya (Echo) and Yelena (White Widow), who joined in favor of following the people who killed the man responsible for her sister’s death. The three of them became Kingpin’s most prized weapons, and were sent out to deal with the most special targets.
——————————————————————————————
The first time she sees you it's past midnight and you’re rushing home after a long closing shift at the small movie theater you work at. She can’t help but think how you look entirely too cute to be her next target, bundled up in an oversized jacket and a beanie that is falling into your eyes. Confused, the young Ronin decides to follow you around for a few days in hopes to gather information that will allow her to understand her assignment. The longer she trails you the more confused she gets, you’re just a normal person. You walk your dog daily, go to work at the theater almost every single day, and eat ice cream in bed while watching Bob’s Burgers episode on repeat. You aren’t threatening nor did you have anything threatening in your apartment.
The first time she comes into the theater you spill an entire cup of soda on the floor, tripping over air as you get distracted by her striking ocean eyes. Little did you know that she was taking advantage of a tactic that Yelena taught her, drawing trust from the target to find a more convenient spot to kill you.
Kate had thought you were adorable, and stumbled through awkwardly flirting back. The archer tried to act cool as she tried to charm you. Her ego stroked when she realized how difficult it was for you to act normally around her.  You cursed yourself as you stuttered through asking her what movie she would be seeing, but she just asked for a small popcorn and left.
You’re ecstatic when the gorgeous brunette begins showing up at work often, getting a small popcorn and leaving. You are hooked, completely infatuated. Every time you work you have to hype yourself up to finally ask her out, you never do. You don’t even know her name yet.
Another day, another shift, and you can’t help but feel disappointed by the lack of ocean girl for the past week. Your co-workers watch the entire day as you perk up each time someone walks through the doors and sulk as you clean up to close. The walk home was brisk, trying to avoid being in the cold for too long but just a few blocks from your apartment you see someone leaning against a street light. You don’t have too much time to try and think of a different route when the figure starts walking towards you, closing the distance swiftly.
The person is shoving you against an abandoned building, back hitting rough dirty brick. Your heart beat is pounding but the moment your gaze catches a flash of ocean blue you calm. “You haven’t been to th-the theater in a while.” Your voice is soft, anxiety making your voice crack halfway.
Kate, who was flipping an arrow in her hand, looks up at you shocked. Her mouth opens and closes a few times, trying to put together what was happening. How were you not scared? An almost complete stranger just shoved you into an abandoned alleyway, and you’re worried about them getting a bag of popcorn? She lets the shiny arrowhead tap against your leg, smirking as you look down at it. “I’ve been planning something a little different.”
Her voice is low causing a shiver to run down your spine as you look at the reflection of a street light shining off the sharp tip. “Usually I don’t get this…adventurous on the first hookup but for you I would.” You’re a bit nervous, but you know you need to be open to anything if you want to keep the most gorgeous girl you’ve ever seen. She’s entirely out of your league, but you won’t let your inexperience get in the way.
She’s staring at you, an incredulous look on her face. Deciding to test you, she lets the her weapon of choice ghost along her body until it’s beating against your skull. Slowly she lets the tip of the arrow dig into your temple, eye widening as you just let her pierce her skin. The girl is pulling away, jaw slack, about to say something when some random girl screams interrupting the two of you.
The girl runs up to you, asking if you’re okay, but you just notice that the ocean girl is gone. A small trail of blood your only reminder of your close encounter with the popcorn girl. Slumping against the wall again, you just nod and grumpily thank the stranger for her help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arms crossed, Kate pouts in the oversized arm chair as Yelena and Maya laugh at her. The glare in her eyes is weak, and her friends know it. “Guys! It doesn’t make sense, okay. Why are they my next target?” Her hands are erratic as she signs, making Maya laugh at the mistakes she makes.
The blonde just shrugs as she struggles to sit up straight through her laughter, but Kate relaxes when she sees Maya get her attention. “The boss has a connection to them that he doesn’t want them to know, Kazi figured that part out but the files are destroyed on what the connection is.” The older brunette shrugs at the end of her sentence, quickly signing an apology before smacking Yelena on the head.
The widow sighs before shrugging too, “I really do not think I can be of help. I could not find anything.” Her sloppy signing still makes Maya smile, knowing English in every way is still a bit of a struggle for the Russian. “Besides, just take the target out and get the job done and over with. It should be easy Kate Bishop.” The smirk on the blonde’s face makes the archer roll her eyes, pouting again at the tease.
The young Ronin nods nonetheless, looking out the window, trying to piece together her thoughts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
For the next few weeks you keep getting in awkward situations with ocean girl, who after you practically begged for the answer told you her name is Kate. You still can’t actually get the nerve to ask her out. You can’t even get the nerve to just try and actually initiate hooking up with her, even though she has definitely tried. Even if every single time you are alone with the brunette ends with her disappearing with no trace, you can’t help but look forward to the next time she pops into your life.
The subway was the most annoying thing ever, preferring to walk everywhere, but you were going to the opposite side of the city so you had no other choice. Your head is down, airpods secure in your ears, as you try to rest a bit before you get to your destination.
You don’t remember dozing off but the feeling of cold metal along your throat wakes you up, a hand in your hair stops you from flinching. Panic rushing through you but the smooth voice that speaks calms you. “We are finishing this tonight, I’m done playing around.”
Slowly opening your eyes, relaxing your face, taking a chance to look up at the ocean blue you crave. “Not that I’m not thrilled to see you because I am, you look amazing tonight by the way, but can I ask if the weird sword thing was necessary?” You don’t mean to ramble but she makes you nervous.
Kate is staring down at you, jaw tense as she takes you in. Your entirely too innocent eyes, sparkling looking up at her like she was the best thing in the world. Your nervous smile, flinching every time your skin is pricked by the sharp blade, but it just makes her melt a little inside at the cuteness. You are the easiest target she’s ever had, honestly you’re the easiest person anyone could have ever been told to kill.
The moment you bite your lip, out of awkwardness mostly because of the heavy silence, it breaks something in Kate. She crashes her mouth into yours, messy and sloppy, but it stuns you nonetheless. This wasn’t the first time someone kissed you, but the way she’s pushing against you is different. No one has ever wanted you like she does at the moment. No one ever touched you like she is.  The blade against your throat retracts, scratching a thin line across your throat, but you don’t have much time to think about it when Kate’s calloused hand replaces it.
Your eyes flick around, grateful for the empty car you’re in, as she moves to straddle you. “I- maybe we shouldn’t do th-” She cuts you off with a sharp slap on your cheek, anger flashing in her eyes before she rubs the red skin soothingly. A small smile reaches her face as she coos over you. You can’t tell if she’s serious or just mocking you, but it makes you blush either way as you wiggle around beneath her.
The flush rises up your neck as she pulls on the baby hairs there, “Oh my sweet little thing, you’re already squirming.” The brunette is moving around, forcing herself between your legs and letting her mouth ghost along your neck.
You can feel the heat in your belly, spreading across your body the more she touches you. The wetness between your thighs makes you whimper, embarrassed at how easy it was for her to turn you on. You let your head shake slowly, cheeks burning as you slam your eyes shut so you don’t have to look at her.
Her hand is already slipping under your shirt, her rough fingers sliding directly under your sports bra. Her palm slides against your hardened nipple, a smirk spreads across her face when she hears your breath hitch. “So sensitive, don’t tell me a pretty pet like you is a virgin.” Her voice is arrogant, as she lets her knee fall between your thighs.
Your hips buck against her knee as it comes to lay flat against your covered center, a pathetic whimper escaping through your lips. Even though it’s a lie you’re adamantly shaking your head, refusing to seem even more pitiful. Letting your eyes close, you try your hardest to ignore the way her hand makes you feel as she palms at your breast. You try to ignore the way you just know your arousal is leaking through your panties as you try not to desperately grind against her knee.
The knee between your thighs is moving, slowly but grinding perfectly into you, and it makes your vision blur. “Now now, don’t lie to me. I’m taking mercy on you, don’t take my niceness for granted. Tell me the truth.” Her mouth is moving against your neck, a particularly hard bite makes you wince as you try to focus. The smallest yes falls from your lips, meek and quiet. “That’s a good girl, I guess I should reward you. Yea?”
Her forehead is leaning against your shoulder, watching as your hips are uncontrollably rutting against her knee. She wants to laugh at how awkward and sloppy it is, but she can’t help the rush of arousal through her body thinking about breaking that. You were going to be hers to ruin, no matter what her job was.
The grip she has on your breasts is borderline painful and you were getting frustrated at not being able to reach your high alone, you were never good at getting off by yourself. You could feel your body starting to give it in, and your mouth hanging open in a silent plea, but it was like you couldn’t fall over the edge. Stuck dangling and Kate was just having a grand old time watching you struggle.
You were completely focused on trying to reach your orgasm that you weren’t aware of the subway coming to a stop, nor were you aware of Kate’s focus shifting. The moment she pulls herself off you, pulling her hood off her head and a gray beanie over her head, a whine tears through your teeth. She’s shushing you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and shoving your heads down to stare at her phone screen.
The archer is watching, through her lashes, as people rush to get into different cars but she sighs in relief when the doors finally close with no extra occupants joining. Making quick work of calculating how long until her stop, less than 2 minutes, she sighs and looks down at you. Your entire face is flushed, your breath coming out in harsh labored pants, and you're rubbing your thighs together in a feeble attempt to find pressure.
Grumbling, she reaches down unceremoniously gathering you in her arms and waits for the doors to open. The moment the metal slides open she’s rushing out, dodging people and shushing you as you whimper with each thundering step she takes. You try to look around, but when you see her taking dark abandoned alleyways you hide your face in her neck instead. The slight pang of fear makes you want to find safety, and for some reason Kate feels like that for you.
The young Ronin sighs as she enters her penthouse, relaxing as the Bishop Security panel comes to life and secures the door behind her. She drops you roughly on the couch before she starts stripping layers, throwing everything around as she tries to take in what she just did. Her boss, Fisk, was going to murder her if he ever found out that this target was alive. Not only was this target alive, but she was keeping them in her apartment and trying to hookup with them.
When she looks up from the glass of liquor she poured, her gaze meets yours and she knows that it doesn’t matter. She was going to keep you, no matter who tried to go against her. You were hers, even if you didn’t know it yet.

Station 19 6x16
This episode was boring
Danielle's directorial debut was good. She had some interesting angles and shots that I loved, some others not so much, but I hope she directs more episodes.
Ben's storyline is so boring. Taking a third of the episode for that. Why do I need to listen to the mom talk about leaving him or whatever? Wasting time here. Emily sucks as a writer.
Carina wasn’t on the episode. I'm still in shock. She has been part of Station 19 for like 300 seasons now, and they still can't find a way to include her without attaching her to Maya.
Danielle said Carina was on the first draft instead of Bailey but they change it because, for the storyline, Bailey made more sense. You are replacing a regular character (and one of the most popular ones, btw) for a guest star. Ben and Carina are besties.
They really missed the opportunity when they shut down the PRT.
I really thought they were doing better with the clinic storyline for Carina.
Everybody agrees that something is going on with Beckett. Either he is suicidal: Making amends, Not pursuing his captaincy, Giving away personal stuff, etc. OR they have no idea how to make him “good”.
However, I think he should have apologized to Maya personally. He was an important factor in her breakdown.
I get that Maya needed to be out of most scenes because Danielle was directing, but why was she all alone in there? I don’t know if that is how it works but thank god they were not violent because she is strong, but she is tiny.
I love watching them eat as a family. I missed that.
I really wanted to see a Marina scene directed by Danielle. I think she knows about the walls, the cuts, etc. I trust she can do a better job. She is the captain of her own ship.
The fact that Theo really believes he is the best option to be Captain. In the promo for the next episode, he is the first to stand up when they ask who wants to be Captain. Boy sit down.
If Andy doesn’t get to be captain, I’m going to be mad. It's her time
I don’t want Maya to pursue captaincy for now, but I want her to explain why. Her mental health, family first, etc.
Why did they need a sub if Beckett came back? This new girl can go and take Theo with her.
“I refuse to let you end up in a bed in this hospital like Bishop did” Now, why is Maya catching strays, or Carina for that Matter? Is Bailey implying Carina didn’t care like her?
Love the scenes between Ross and Andy.
Tumblr media
Carina has Maya sleeping and giggling at her job like a loser.
I guess Maya and I will stay in this moment until the next episode.

I’m the Tornado - A marina one shot based off of 6x01
It’s been a long time since I’ve written, so I hope you enjoy 🙈
Three weeks. Three weeks had passed since their fight on the rooftop. Since then, there were even more fights, nights on the couch or in the guest room, lots of running, long shifts for the both of them, and lots of hurt. Carina was hurting, she knew that. But she was hurting too and she didn’t know how to figure it out. Maya bishop was a winner. She always excelled…and now she was failing. Failing everything, destroying everything in her path, creating chaos in the calm…she was the tornado. The running and extra shifts started first. If they thought she was doing too much during the six months leading up to the tornado? They were wrong. She barely slept, which was understandable given the beds at the station where she was spending most of her time. She’d try to go home but it would end in a fight and back to the station she’d go. But it wasn’t the beds...it was her mind. At first, sure, she’d exhaust herself so much that she would sleep. But when that didn’t do the trick, she resorted back to what she knew, just like she was doing with everything else.
It was comforting at first, the thoughts about the clouds. She’d lay and think about the clouds she’d flown in years ago and how soft they looked. How much rest she could actually get by taking herself to them...it was peaceful and calm when the world was chaos. When she created chaos. However, the night she realized just how often she was thinking of the clouds, she shook with fear. She tried to think back to the last time she had these thoughts so frequently. It had been years. Before Carina, absolutely. During their split when she...created chaos.
“I’m the tornado.” The firefighter shot up from her laying position to where she was seated with her knees pulled to her chest. Maya felt the increase in her heart rate first, followed by the quickened pace of her breaths. Usually she would pace or run, but she was frozen. “Eyes forward....No! No.” Usually she would put her eyes on Carina but she wasn’t there, no one was. “Come on Maya....deep breaths...Steps for cleaning and gearing up the engine.” She closed her eyes and began to talk through the steps, shifting her focus elsewhere until her breathing began to steady and she began to calm. After a few deep breaths she was up and ending her extra shift early, carrying herself to where she truly needed to be.  It was the middle of the night. She showed up to the apartment like a defeated dog. The lights were off, except for the glow of the bedside lamp. Carina fell asleep reading, she already knew. The blonde quietly set her bag down and took her sneakers off. She crept through the apartment, and stood by the doorway first, watching her wife.
She could feel the tears already forming back up in her blue eyes. She almost lost this….she could still lose this. She was the tornado. Maya tiptoed over, swallowing the painful lump in her throat. She gently grabbed the iPad and set it down. Her fingers grazed the switch on the lamp, finally turning it off. She needed the darkness. She needed to hide. The vulnerability she felt she could show to the Italian woman had altered some. She couldn’t face this in the light.
Maya got on her knees and took Carina’s hand that was somehow elegantly draped over the side of the bed. The doctor must’ve been exhausted, because she hadn’t budged during any of this. Maya took a shaky breath, “I...I’ll get help. I promise.” Her tears began to slip silently down her cheeks. “I’m sorry. I’m broken and I’m scared…I-I’m the tornado…but I’ll get help. I’ll learn to be better. I love you. I’ll learn to stop creating chaos. I’ll get help.” She whispered, her voice thick with raw emotion. She wasn’t saying this to wake Carina up. After the day she had? She just needed to get it out to the only person she needed to say it to.  After the softest kiss to the slender hand she held, Maya took a grounding breath and arose to her feet. She fixed the covers over her wife and quietly closed the door. She resorted to the couch, instantly taking her phone out and called Diane Lewis. It went to voicemail, as expected, and without hesitation Maya Bishop spoke into the phone, “Diane, hey, it’s Maya Bishop. I need help. I’m safe, this is not an emergency. But when you have availability, I’d like an appointment. I’m ready to do the work.” She was ready to put her tornado days behind her.
