This poem is a sedoka (composed of two katauta)--traditionally a love poem. I suppose this is a love poem, of sorts ... because love is needed for those experiencing infertility.
During a hike through the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Gardens, this tree reminded me of my own infertility journey, which for various reasons, produced neither bio nor adopted children.
For those who are experiencing infertility ... my heart is with you. Keep hope. And know that whatever happens, you will survive it.
