word count: ~4.3K
paring: Kageyama x fReader
warning(s):  panty stealing, male masturbation, nonconsensual listening (he purposefully listens in on the Reader getting it on), peeping (a hint), and slight obsessive behaviour, Kageyama is a perv in this, so be warned.
authors note: well, much like the Bokuto fic, this has finally arrived; and has taken just as long to complete. After the success of the Perv!Bokuto fic, figured I would continue on and make a series out of it - with the next character (due to popular demand) being Kageyama. If you like it, and want more, please let me know (and who you wanna see next), otherwise please enjoy this fun little piece with our favourite tsundere volleyball player~ 🔮

Having a roommate was a sensible thing.
It meant that bills and rent were split evenly, which in turn meant less stress on a young person’s life to make ends meet -  to not have to worry as much about having enough to eat or being able to buy the important things in life - and it meant shared resources, things like appliances, necessities, and cleaning supplies; which meant not having to worry if you’ll go without for long. And it especially made sense that an up-and-coming professional volleyball player would want a similar professional as a roommate.
At least, that was how Hinata Shoyo put it as he begged, nearly going to his knees, the taller raven-headed man, trying to convince his closest friend to get an apartment in the city with him.
And that was Hinata’s main point:, that he was a friend. One that Kageyama had known for years, which meant that not only were they in a similar boat together (having similar schedules, and professional careers), but Hinata was one of the few people Kageyama could stand being around for more than a few hours.
“So come on please!?” Hinata cried out, clinging to the taller man’s shirt. “You won’t get a better deal, 'cause I know you can’t afford to live in the city yet! And do you really wanna chance moving in with a stranger that you can’t stand!? That might have disgusting habits?”
And well, that was what sold it for Kageyama.
Within a month he was packed and standing in the middle of an empty apartment, with an over-eager red-head as they took the lay of their land; it wasn’t a big place (a standard two-bedroom, one-bath) but there was room to breathe and get comfortable in. And, at the end of the day, if Kageyama had to be stuck living in a place like this and needed a roommate, Hinata was his first and only choice.
It didn’t take long for things to be unpacked and for the dust to settle; because really there was only so much furniture two early twenty-somethings had to their name, but the principal remained the same - that a routine was formed, and rather quickly, that fit Kageyama’s standards.
And really, how could it not? Kageyama would wake up, shower, eat breakfast, and be almost out the door by the time his roommate would finally wake up - meaning there would be no hindrance to the strict routine he wanted to keep and maintain further. And the same can be said whenever he finally got home, he was able to eat and get settled for the evening without too much fuss or interference; able to enjoy the living room, and the apartment as a whole, in peace and silence for a few hours. To allow him to recharge and be more prepared to deal with his more extroverted friend/roommate.
That’s what the weekends were for anyway, to let loose and enjoy life; and that was where Hinata’s presence was appreciated the most - how he was always able to convince him to step out of his comfort zone and try new things. Though Kageyama would be reluctant, would complain and think of any excuse to not go somewhere, he was always thankful at the end of the day to have someone who cared enough about his social life to not let it crumble. Almost strangers during the week, but roommates and friends when the weekend arrived - it was an ideal situation.
And then you showed up.
Appeared within the apartment without warning; sitting on his couch, on your phone, when he woke up one morning, getting ready to start his day and routine of training and maintaining his schedule; you even had the audacity to tell him, with a sickly sweet and obnoxious smile, coffee was made and ready if he wanted any - as if caffeine was good for an athlete. He left without a word, just a mere roll of his eyes and an annoyed scoff before leaving for the day; coming home later in the evening to give Hinata a piece of his mind.
The redhead was apologetic, as always, doing his best to apologize for the lack of proper warning.  “Though, to be fair, she has been over before! You just were never around!” he tried to reason as if that made anything about the situation better. Hinata explained that he met you at a game; you were the one fan he remembered that night - cheering for him the loudest as they played another round-robin in their division - coming up to him afterward and offering him a celebratory drink; and hey, the man was only human.
One drink turned to two, then three, and soon, they spent the night chatting away; he even left with her phone number and the promise to see each other soon. After a few dates, Hinata proposed the idea of going steady, “‘cause seriously dude, she’s really an amazing girl! I couldn’t pass up this chance and let her go!” Things were going pretty well, and after hanging out the night prior you decided to spend the night, that was all.
And it all made sense, one way or another, as to why you were there that morning; you weren't just some stranger in his home - you were a guest, his roommate's girlfriend. Though Kageyama found it hard to believe that the ‘amazing girl’ Hinata kept gushing about, kept going on and on until Kageyam’s eye would twitch in annoyance, could possibly be you.
Because you were a nuisance to his entire way of life. A constant hindrance and blockade in his way as he tried to go about his usual routine.
In the mornings, when he used to be the first and only one up, he would have the bathroom and kitchen to himself; to shower and eat in a timely fashion before heading out the door. Now, after you got comfortable staying the night, he would be lucky to make it to practice on time. You hogged the bathroom, your annoying humming as you brushed your teeth and did your hair took too long for Kageyama’s liking - forcing him to use the kitchen sink to get rid of his morning breath. And if you weren’t taking up the bathroom, you would be in the kitchen, monopolizing the space as you made breakfast; constantly getting in his way, dirtying as many of his dishes as you possibly could, and using up all his food that was in the fridge…; he can’t help but roll his eyes, a scowl on his face, whenever you try to offer the sad excuse of a breakfast you had just created to him - he was always too angry to say anything to you when you did, he would just simply put his coat on and leave.
And it wasn’t just the morning routine you would infiltrate and destroy;, oh no, you seemed to want to rip apart the entire routine - one that took him months to build and maintain. Now, when he would come home after a long day of training, of pushing his body to the utmost limit and wanting to do nothing more than relax in his living room (an area normally empty and silent most days of the week, to just breathe deeply and meditate for a few hours and recharge, was now ruined, as whenever he would walk through the door, there you were sitting on his couch, playing some obnoxious and loud game on your phone, and greeting him once again with that stupid giant smile on your face like you’re happy to see him. It made him stomp to his room annoyed and frustrated - always ensuring he slammed the door for you to hear.
At night it was the worst; normally he would go to sleep without issue - as he would go to bed early enough to miss Hinata’s loud nighttime routine - ensuring that he would get the 8-hours of rest he needed to ensure peak performance the next day. But now? With you staying the night? He doesn’t get nearly that many hours. He knows you do your best to muffle the sounds, to make it seem like nothing else is happening on the other side of the paper-thin wall then you and Hinata trying to get comfortable in bed, but it doesn’t work. Kageyama can hear everything; your moans, mewls, gasps, and sighs of pleasure, they all ring so loudly in his ears making it impossible for him to fall asleep - even after they go quiet, after you have been tuckered out and are fast asleep, they play on a loop in his mind.
He knows that neither of you are aware that he can hear you, that he inadvertently listens whenever you fuck, given the bright and cheery smile you both cast his way in the morning as if nothing has changed, as if he wasn’t in on your dirty little secrets.
But he knows, and it plagues him constantly.
Now whenever he finds you in the kitchen, either making coffee or breakfast that is far too much for one person, he cannot stand near you or look in the eyes whenever you offer him a mug or plate; cannot begrudgingly work alongside you as he tried to fix his bowl instant oats and honey; cannot just merely scoff and roll his eyes at you like he normally would - his biting responses now turned into quiet shakes of his head, his heart beating out of his chest as he tries not to stare at you; as he tries not to be entranced by your plush thighs that were barely caged within the smallest shorts he had ever seen; how they would ride up and hide nothing, giving him plenty of fuel for his imagination.
Whenever he sees you on the couch when he gets home, all sprawled out playing on your phone, he doesn’t stomp off to his room and slam the door like he normally would after finding out you ruined his plans; instead, he’s almost stunned in the doorway as you greet him; having the unusual giant impact of making his cock twitch in his pants, made worse when he realizes you're wearing his old high school's jersey. Merely greeting you with a slight raise of his hand before scurrying off as quietly as possible to deal with the newfound tent problem in his sweats.
And at night, he can’t help himself from pressing his ear to the wall; shirt tucked between his teeth to keep his whimpers and moans down as he stroked his heavy, leaking cock to the sounds of your high-pitched moans; closing his eyes and picturing what position you must be in, how pretty you would look with your mouth stuffed with his length, and how thankful you would be with your pussy leaking his cum. The guilt and shame that washes over him once he cums into his hand is almost devastating, but he cannot help but think it’s worth it whenever he wipes himself clean.
~
You, on the other hand, were clearly blissfully unaware of the situation that had been slowly unfolding over the past few weeks; sweetly ignorant of the secrets your boyfriend’s roommate had been hiding. For all you know, the man who seemed to hate the very earth you walked on - the man who could barely tolerate your existence or be in the same room as you - was slowly starting to warm up to you, becoming somewhat tolerable to be around.
You were ecstatic, happy to know that your relationship with Hinata would no longer jeopardize his friendship with one of his closest friends and overjoyed that the possibility of forcing Hinata to choose a side would not have to befall him. And Hinata? He was just happy to see his two favorite people slowly starting to get along, especially as it meant more opportunities to invite you over.
You liked Kageyama, in the simplest of terms. He seemed to be a decent guy, even if he was high-strung, but you knew it was due to his passion for being the best he can be - and how could fault him for that?
Besides, you liked his company. He was quiet and more relaxed than Hinata was, which at times was a little more welcomed after a long day of work, or when you first got up and haven't had a cup of coffee yet. And he was polite–sweet even, surprisingly so. It always caught you off guard; Whether that be telling you he bought the kind of yogurt you liked or allowing you to watch something on the TV, even though he was clearly just trying to enjoy the living room in peace, Kageyama's niceness always caught you off-guard.
You were grateful for the change in dynamic, even if it did seem out of the blue; it was a welcomed happenstance, one you weren’t going to jinx or question too much. For you were happy to continue on without the answers, happy to continue to be with Hinata and the perks that came with it, happy to finally feel comfortable in his apartment - to live in the shared space without being seen as a burden.
You finally felt comfortable, and really, what was better than that?
~
Well, you were too comfortable.
Kageyama knew it to be fact, though Hinata would disagree.
He was grateful you finally felt comfortable in his home. Kageyama wishes you didn't. Because when a person is comfortable, the little, embarrassing habits that they try to hide slowly start to show. For some, like Hinata, it’s having conversations with himself - sometimes loud, sometimes quiet - as well as leaving half-eaten food in the most random of places because he got distracted and forgot them. Kageyama can even admit that he oftentimes forgets food in the microwave, or leaves his shoes in entranceways, inadvertently causing people to trip on them. All things normal, and natural, once comfortable in a space.
Kageyama wishes yours were little things like that. Talking with your mouth full, or singing loudly in the shower, or leaving wrappers all over the place; anything that could put you in a normal, negative, light (would be better than your bad habits).
But no. Your bad habit was leaving, your panties where just anyone could find them. And he can tell, neither you or Hinata are aware of it.
Kageyama didn’t notice at first, why would he? Why would he care about your clothes, not like he had any use for your dirty laundry? When he finally did, it was an accident. He entered the bathroom after you had taken a shower, and as he placed the bathmat down on the floor he saw them; a navy pair of lace panties just sitting there, right by the tub. The shower he took afterward was long and very cold.
After that incident, he found them more and more; much like noticing red cars only after you start thinking about them. He would notice that you often forget about your panties when you leave the next morning after spending the night; whether in the bathroom crumpled in the corner nearest the tub, or scattered in some hap-haphazard form near Hinata’s doorway.
At first, he tried to ignore them, leaving them there and pretending they didn’t exist. It did help you were usually close by, your “would you like some coffee, Tobio-san?” or “your breakfast looks ready, don’t forget it this time~” often effectively stealing his attention and thus having him suppress his thoughts to speak with you about the little things you leave behind.
Then it turned into something he couldn’t ignore. Llater as he stared at them a moment or two too long before walking away from them; burning into his memory the colour, shape, and fabric type as he uses the image of you wearing them whenever he wakes from a naughty dream, or needed to cool off in the shower after a stressful day, or whenever he couldn’t sleep because his cock ached for you.
But it didn’t take long before an embarrassing habit of yours turned into a disgusting habit of his. His cheeks would burn red as shame would fill his being, knowing he was the very roommate that Hinata had threatened about when convincing him to move in together, but he couldn’t help it; you unlocked something depraved in him and he was just trying to keep it at bay.
He knows you don’t mean to leave them, or at least not in plain view, but after a while he couldn’t help but have that perverted voice in his head tell him that you were purposefully leaving them for him to find; that they were for him, so why not take a pair? What was the harm in doing that?
And try as he might, that perverted voice broke him down - he was only a man after all. A sinful, disgusting man, who was utterly, hopelessly, and inappropriately attracted to his best friend’s girl.
Kageyama didn’t steal every pair, he had to be applauded for that. Not because he had self-control, but rather out of self-preservation to not be caught or confronted by you or Hinata. If he stole every pair then you would start to get suspicious, and that could lead to you asking him the dreaded question of ‘have you seen my underwear Tobio? Maybe it got mixed in with your clothes’ and he knew if you did, his flustered face and voice would give it all away. Or worse, that you would take matters into your own hands and start snooping around his room. He could already feel his stomach drop at the thought of your pretty eyes widening in horror once you found his little stash.
No, he couldn’t have it. So, despite all the voices in his head telling him otherwise,  he had to have some self-control; even if it was killing him slowly.
He wanted to take your prettiest pairs, the ones with lace and silk, but he worried you would notice that for sure, for panties like that are always remembered, so instead he took some of your more plain ones - ones he was sure you wouldn’t notice they were gone as you had plenty of them to spare.
And how useful they proved to be late at night, when he could hear your pretty mewls get higher and higher as you tried to stifle them; not that it would do much, not with how he moved his bed so his head was next to the shared wall, thus gaining a perfect (and comfortable) spot to hear all your pretty sounds. He would wrap your panties around his aching, heavy cock as he used them to help get him off to you; the soft material providing just the perfect amount of friction, different from his fist, to further make believe he was the one ravaging you.
Arm over his face, shielding his eyes from what he was doing and trying to cool his flushed face as his teeth would bite down harshly to his bottom lip, trying to keep his whimpers quiet as he vigorously pumped his twitching cock to you, angry and red in overstimulation. He tried his best to feel satisfied; to reach that high that would finally allow him to sleep…but always ended the same: him bringing a hand up to stifle a wail as he painted those cotton panties of yours with his cum - wishing it was your pussy instead. Shame washed over his being as he kept his eyes shielded from the world. Now that he's gotten away with it, it's only going to get worse from here..
And it did.
Kageyama didn’t want it to, but he fed the beast and now it was clawing at him for more.
And more meant beig risky, much to his dismay. If he could, he'd keep this part of himself hidden deep; but this part could never be sated, not unless he could finally have you. And since he able to fuck you, he had to get as close as he could.
Close meant dangerous. Close meant palming himself through his shorts as he stood behind you while you bent over to grab something out of the oven–trying to distance himself enough so you couldn’t feel him, fighting the urge to pull you by your hips to be flush with his own. Close meant pulling his leaking cock out of his sweats in the morning as he tries to get off as quickly as he can while he peeps through the keyhole of the bathroom door, trying to get a glimpse of your wet naked form through the shower curtain.
Soon, even all that wasn’t enough. Soon, just hoarding your panties wasn’t enough, he had to carry a pair in his pocket - even to practice, despite how easily the flimsy fabric would fall out of gym shorts Soon, just smelling your shampoo as you walked by didn’t leave the lasting impression it once did, now he was reduced to smelling your lavender lotion  you kept in the bathroom as he tried to imagine your soft skin in his hold. And soon, after a long day of training= he would find he was too pent up and tired to even make it to his room. Simply spreading him out on the living room couch and slowly slide your panties up and down his shaft; pretending it's your pretty lips wrapped around his sensitive tip; enjoying the thrill, the shivers of pleasure, in the thought of knowing that you could come home at any moment and catch him in the act.
It was bad, and he knew it, but he still couldn’t stop himself from doing it; from spreading his legs wide on the plush cushions and taking hold of his cock with a delighted sigh; for really, it was the only time he could be vocal and let out his frustrations that he was currently faced with - and the possibility that you might find him was more than worth it for it either meant you would finally confront him and snap him out of his lust-filled craze, or you would join him; either way, it was a victory for the man.
And this habit, this vile and disgusting habit, had now grown into his routine. Instead of coming home, kicking his shoes off, and meditating his stress away he now found peace by coming undone by the thought of you as he did his best not to make a mess of the shared couch.
That was where he found himself now, panting as he pulled his athletic shorts down and freeing his rock-hard cock from where it was uncomfortably caged; wrapping his hand around it with a strangled moan, he began to squeeze the tip; normally he would have a layer of cotton to help soothe his angry erection and provide it that sinfully sweet friction it craved, but you hadn’t visited in over a week - away with Hinata for an away game - and thus he didn’t have any new pairs to use as the others were hidden away, awaiting being washed and returned to you so you could dirty them again.
His hand just had to do as he slowly dragged it up and down, the longwinded whimper clear he needed some relief as his precum slowly lubricated his length, providing less resistance and allowing him to go faster and faster. Before long the only sound that could be heard in the empty apartment were the wet sounds of his hips thrusting up into his fist and the occasional whine that would escape his throat as he tried desperately to finish; all the while his eyes remained closed as he visualized about how pretty you could look bouncing up and down on his cock, how blissfully you would look with your head thrown back as you moaned over how good he made you feel.
“That feels good, doesn’t it baby?” He babbled out, pretending he was teasing you as his hips purposefully thrust up into his tight fist. “Like the feeling of my cock stretching out that pretty pussy don’t you? Nngh! Feels… fuck,,, feels better than Hinata’s doesn’t it?”
His voice was getting higher the closer he got to cumming, feeling his lower stomach twist in knots as he tried to hold back just a little bit longer, wanting to remain in the fantasy he created.
“Just want me to fill you up, don’t you? Make a mess of you for him to find, yeah? Want to show him how to really make you feel good, naughty, dirty, fucking girl. Yeah, just like that, keep doing it just like that, keep squeezing me! I’m! I’m gonna, fuck, gonna cum!”
He cried out, your name leaving his mouth in a broken wail. His body tensed harshly as he threw his head back violently into the pillows and came all over his fist and stomach, body twitching and jumping as he slowly pumped his angry, red cock. He tries coming down from his high slowly; regaining his breath and coming back to reality while still savoring that euphoria.
But his reality came crashing down when he heard your startled and shocked gasp, piecing his ears so sharply that it felt like ice water had been poured over his head,.He whipped his head to face you, entire being filled with fright as gazed at you. Watching as you stood there with the most horrified look on your pretty face, making it clear to him that you had heard everything he said as he feels his whole body heat up in shame and embarrassment; unable to even squeak out a word of explanation or apology.
And yet, a moment passed, and then another, and you still stood there looking at him with the same stunned expression; shoulders still by your ears and body still frozen in shock as your eyes never left his cock - still oozing with sticky cum.
You didn’t run away…. He thought to himself as he heard you gulp down a breath as he stood up. So maybe…. maybe you wouldn’t mind helping him out?

TODDLER!HAIKYUU BOYS that will be possesive over their favorite daycare caregiver.
His favorite game was when you pretended to be a princess and he was the brave and charming knight that saved you.
For his 3 year old brain, you were the prettiest girl he'd ever seen, you always made sure his milk was warm and that he had his favorite stuffed animal whenever he took a nap.
Every time he saw you with another child on your arms, he felt the absolute betrayal. Why would you take care of another kid that wasn't him!?
"No!" he whined as he hold onto your leg while you had in your arms a sleeping little boy "y/n mine!" he puffed out his cheeks as he intensely pulled your shirt trying to catch your attention back to him.
You found him adorable, but every day it was more difficult to keep him from pushing the other kids that got close to you, and you were sure his mommy didn't like you because he seemed to like you more than her; and it was always a problem when she came to pick him up, because he never wanted to leave their place in your arms.

Tobio Kageyama x Female! reader (she/her pronouns)
Warnings: slight angst, swearing, mostly fluff
WC: 3.5k
AN: blah idk what to think about this. It stems from an idea I had a dream about but this is one of those times I’m doubting myself. I low key want to write a part two but I also just wanna bury it 😅
Summary: Years after letting go of the love of your life and starting anew, a change provided by a friend allows you a glimpse into your old life and a chance to reconnect with the person you lost.
♥️ ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
“So, I guess this is it huh?” You murmured, trying your best to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill as you stood in front of your now ex-boyfriend, Tobio Kageyama.
“YN listen, I-”
You put your hand out, stopping the words that were about to surface. You couldn’t stand to hear them; you couldn’t bare listening to those words again when you knew what was about to happen. If this was going to end, it was going to end on your terms.
“Tobio don’t. Please, let’s just say our goodbyes.” He sadly nodded, his head going down as you stood there, the awkward silence filling the air.
“So, you leave tomorrow morning for Italy, right? Are you all packed?” You asked as Tobio rubbed the back of his head. It was a nervous habit he had developed, something he did when he wasn’t sure how to react.
“Uhh yeah pretty much,” he responded, the silence still penetrating the air. You had tried your best to distract from the obvious but the obvious was beginning to suffocate you.
“Ok well I guess this is goodbye then,” you stuttered, trying to contain the tears. The years of memories flooded back, from the first day you met to your first date and everything beyond. You loved Tobio but you knew love wasn’t enough to keep him here with you. When he was first recruited to play in Italy, your first thoughts weren’t how proud you were of him or how this would only further his career. The only thought that filled your mind was how you’d ever bare letting him go.
“Yeah I guess so,” he whispered still standing in front of you, not wanting to hug you just yet. Hugging you would symbolize what he didn’t want to happen, it would symbolize the end of one of the best things that he’d ever had in his entire life. When he was first accepted to play in Italy, all he could think about was how amazing this opportunity was for him, how awesome it would be for his pro career in volleyball. When he shared the news with you, he hadn’t thought through the logistics of a long-distance relationship. The last thing on his mind at that time was how you’d be able to make it work. He’d never imagined it wouldn’t work.
You lunged forward, throwing your hands around his neck as you held him tightly for one last time, the tears you’d been holding in slowly seeping past your lids as his arms encompassed you, pulling you tight against him. You felt so amazing, so perfect against him and he hated it. He hated how this would be the last time he’d ever feel this serene.
You pulled back first, tears flowing down your cheeks as you looked up to him with a small smile, “I’ll be watching you, ok? So, no slacking off.”
He smiled a little and nodded, watching the tears stream down your cheeks, wanting to do nothing more than kiss them away. You slowly backed away, creating distance from him, your legs feeling so incredibly heavy as if trying their best to keep you planted.
He watched as you finally turned around, your arms going around your midsection as you hugged yourself and walking away and right out of his life.
*A Few Years Later*
Your phone rang as you checked the called id, sighing and swiping your finger across to answer the call.
“What do you want now Kuroo?” You ordered as a surprise gasp sounded from the speaker as he finally spoke.
“YN how could you hurt me like this! I thought I was your favorite person?”
You smiled and shook your head, “not by a long shot Kuroo but you are in the top 20. Is that good enough?”
Kuroo chuckled, replying, “I’ll take it! But listen, I called for a specific reason this time. I’m putting together a sort of reunion and I need my favorite photographer ever to help me!”
“Then why did you call me?” You chuckled as Kuroo laughed in response.
“YN, you know how much I love your work and you really are the best in the business!”
You sighed again, knowing Kuroo was trying his best to be flattering, “ok so what’s this reunion? Like a class reunion or what?” The silence filled the call after you spoke as confusion filled your eyes. You pulled your phone away to check if Kuroo was still connected.
“Kuroo-”
“It’s for a volleyball event YN,” he finally responded as your body stiffened. You hadn’t photographed a volleyball event since Tobio had left a few years ago, shifting your passion in a different direction.
“Kuroo I can’t-”
“YN please just hear me out, ok? I know you don’t photograph sports anymore but please, I’m desperate here. There isn’t anyone who can capture the game like you can. I’ve pulled a lot of our high school alumni into this game, and I think it would be awesome if you’d consider it. Kenma’s sponsoring and promoting the event and Asahi is helping with the uniform design. Yachi is also helping with marketing and design. Imagine if we had YN LN, the famous photographer and Karasuno Alum to photograph the event!”
When you first met Kuroo years ago, you were a first-year manager along with Yachi. You’d always thought he was a great leader and organizer as well as a person who could flatter almost anyone if he tried. He channeled his personality perfectly into his career in sports promotion, able to secure deals and push the volleyball league further than it has been in decades.
You looked over to your bookshelf, your eyes landing on the only memory you’d kept from your relationship with Tobio, a photo from his last game with the Schweiden Adlers. You walked over to it, picking it up and rubbing your finger gently down the side of the frame. In the photo you were looking at the camera, smile wide as you hand rested on Tobio’s chest. His eyes weren’t on the camera but rather on you, his large smile and eyes completely focused on you as if nothing happening around him mattered at all.
“YN you still there?”
“I’ll do it,” you bluntly spoke, an auditable and loud “yes” coming from the speaker as Kuroo continued to talk.
“You won’t regret this, Yn!! I’ll text you the details and we can meet in my office soon to discuss what you’ll be doing! I really appreciate this Yn and I owe you big time!”
You didn’t really hear much Kuroo spoke about, your eyes still focused on the photo as you began to wonder if this really was the right choice.
*A few weeks later*
“We just need headshots of all the players who are participating who are currently in Japan, the rest are going to submit their headshots to me,” Kuroo directed as you prepared your camera, making adjustments to lighting and the background as you half listened.
Exasperated, you mindlessly nodded for the 50th time as Kuroo continued to ramble, his nerves on edge since he’d returned from his trip overseas to secure several more players from the “monster generation” to play on the reunion game.
“Well, if it isn’t my favorite girl!” A voice boomed as you turned around to see Atsumu, Bokuto, Sakusa and Inunaki walking into the studio. You smiled, placing your camera down as you went to greet the guys.
“Well, if it isn’t one of my favorite setters,” you joked as Atsumu pulled back from the hug, mouth agape as you chuckled at his reaction.
“Come on Yn, be realistic, he isn’t even in the top 10 on your favorite setters list,” Sakusa grumbled, walking to the corner as Atsumu glared at him.
“Hey hey hey there’s my Yn!” Bokuto shouted, hauling you into a huge hug as you squealed, your feet leaving the floor as he swung you around.
“Bokuto don’t break her!” Hoshiumi snapped from behind him, Hirugami, Romero and Heiwajima trailing after.
“Hey guys!” You cheered, letting go of Bokuto and running to hug them.
“It’s so good to see you again Yn! We were surprised to hear you were involved with this,” Romero remarked as you nodded.
“Surprised but happy!” Hoshiumi added as he hugged you.
“Well, Kuroo begged me to help so I really couldn’t say no,” you smirked as Kuroo narrowed his eyes.
“Geez Yn stop making me seem so desperate!”
“YN doesn’t need to make you seem desperate when you definitely are desperate,” Kenma stated, strolling in behind the teams as you snickered.
“Kenma you really weren’t needed you know!” Kuroo growled as Kenma shrugged his shoulders and headed to take a seat in the corner.
“I heard Oikawa and Hinata were coming too,” Heiwajima remarked as Kuroo confirmed.
“They are going to be flying in next week along with Ushijima and Kageyama.”
All eyes shifted to you at the mention of Kageyama’s name. You really couldn’t blame the guys; they knew you and Kageyama had ended on good terms but also that your relationship had been a sore subject and ultimately the reason you left sports photography.
You had to admit, when Kuroo first mentioned Tobio, a fact he’d somehow forgotten to mention prior to your meeting, you’d thought about dropping out, the idea of seeing your ex-boyfriend and the only man you’d ever loved extremely painful. However, you couldn’t ignore the small part of you that was also excited to see him in person. Sure, you’d watched every game you could, every interview possible. You’d watched the Olympics and even bought a jersey to add to your collection, something you’d never ever let anyone see.
“It’s fine guys,” you explained, “really I’m happy to be a part of this.”
Everyone nodded, not wanting to push the topic. While the guys had always been chaotic and kind of childish, they did care for your well-being, and they loved you.
“Now we let’s get these photos done!”
“Alright, the greatest first!” Atsumu beamed and Inunaki laughed.
“You should be last Sumu, you’ll probably break YN’s camera!” Everyone laughed at Sumu’s expense as you felt the joy of being reunited with the people you once spent so much time with.
*2 weeks later*
You arrived at the stadium, camera and press badge in hand as you adjusted your dress. You’d done your hair and makeup, wanting to look nice and professional for the event. This would be the first game you’d photographed in years, and you wanted to make a good impression. The crowds roared as you entered the gym, the bright lights hitting you as you looked around to see reporters, tv crews and officials fill the gym floor.
Kuroo waved at you as you walked over to him, noticing how truly huge the event was.
“You look great Yn! Absolutely gorgeous!” Kuroo yelled, the noise on the stadium floor loud as you blushed as his compliment.
“This is amazing Tetsuro! You really pulled this off!” Kuroo beamed with pride as you looked around, the photos you’d taken of the the players printed on banners that filled the stadium. You’re eyes trailed until they landed on Tobio’s banner, his face exactly as you remembered it. You smiled a little, looking around at the crowds.
Daichi, Suga, Asahi, Yamaguchi, Tsukki and Yachi all waved as you smiled and vigorously waved back, excited to see your old teammates.
You saw Kenma in his box, probably waiting for Kuroo as he gave you a chin lift and returned back to his phone. You noticed others from high school in the stands as you stood in the grandness of the court. You’d truly missed this feeling.
The whistle blew as Kuroo squeezed your arm and excused himself. You took your place on the side of the court as the teams were finally presented.
Team A parades out first, their flashy style of green and black jersey’s adding just the right pop of color. Oikawa and Hinata smiled and waved at you as you snapped their pictures, capturing the best angles you could.
Team B followed shortly after, their gold uniforms giving the perfect amount of class and sophistication. You wanted as Ushiwaka, Bokuto and Hoshiumi strolled across the floor, Bokuto frantically waving to the crowd as you giggled at his boisterous spirit.
Your eyes shift to Joffe who followed and to Inunaki right after. You were checking your camera before looking up, your eyes dead locked on Tobio’s as he stopped mid stride, his eyes widening as of in shock.
Tobio knew he would see you here, after all, it was a big part of the reason he agreed to join in this reunion game. He had thought about you almost constantly since leaving years ago, hoping he’d once again get the chance to see your beautiful face. He’d been preparing for weeks, going over how he’d casually walk by you, nod his head and try to act cool. He’d even prepared a few things to say to you if the opportunity present itself.
However, all his past thoughts and plans went straight out the window upon seeing you. You stood there, more breathtaking than he’s ever imagined. Your hair and makeup were flawless and your outfit fit your body like a glove. His mind drifted back to all of the times he’d made you laugh, all the times you’d spent together since meeting in high school. His heart hammered thought his chest, his jersey feeling as thought it was rippling from the aftershock.
You stood there, a small smile on your gorgeous face as you lifted your camera to snap his picture. Your eyes watered upon seeing him, something you’d known would probably happen.
“Kageyama moves dude!” Yaku whisper shouted as Kageyama snapped back to reality, his brain processing that he was holding up the line of his teammates.
“Oh sorry-” he apologized as he glanced forward and made his way to the starting line. His mind emptied of every thought he’d had, filing instead with your imagine as it implanted itself in his brain. At the greeting line, he turned to see you now staring back at him, the same sweet smile he loved plastered on your flawless face.
You couldn’t help but smile at him. Tobio was almost exactly as you’d remembered him. Sure, he was a little bit bigger; he’d obviously gained some muscle and matured since living in Italy but deep down, he was still the same boy you’d remembered from high school. Your heart fluttered just watching him, the memories of all your time spent together flooding your brain.
“We’d like to welcome you all to tonight’s special match. Team A vs Team B, a mash up of Japan’s best!” The announcer rang as the crowds cheered. You quickly made work of snapping as many pictures as you could, moving from side to side to capture the men’s forms prior to the game.
You’d been known as a legend in the sports world, your talent for photography starting in high school and only furthering afterwards. Your photos made the cover of many Japanese magazines, thanks to help from Akaashi as well as covers world wide. Noya would often send you texts, showing you how he’d send your photos all across the globe on his travels. Even Hinata had snapped a selfie or two with your magazine covers.
Tobio watched as you worked, following your every move as he prepared to warm up. He loved how passionate you were about photography. Since moving to Italy, he’d continued to follow your career collecting magazines that features your photographs and following your instagram page. He never interacted with you but that didn’t mean he didn’t order prints and support whatever projects you partook in, donating money to fundraisers you sponsored.
As the warmups began, you took your place at the side of the court. You watched as Hinata, Goshiki, and Romero all spiked. Balls slammed on the floor as the memories of your days photographing volleyball continued to flood your mind. You chuckled as you remembered how many times you’d nearly been hit or how many times Tobio would pull you off the court because he didn’t trust someone not to harm you.
He’s been protective of you even in High school, Hinata often teasing him about how he treated you like you were made of glass. In hindsight, Hinata probably knew better than anyone that his best friend was in love with you way back in high school.
You turned back to see Kageyama holding a volleyball, his focus still on you as you exited the court for the teams to switch. He shifted his attention back to the spikers as he took his place near the net. You were caught in the moment, his beautiful and perfect set gliding through the air as Bokuto slammed it into the opposing court, the crowd cheering him on. Tobio hadn’t changed, not one bit.
The game started as you began maneuvering the court, trying to capture as many shots as possible. The energy was palpable as you moved all around. Set after set, you found yourself drawn into every single play, every single serve and spike. This is why you loved volleyball.
At the end of the game, you tried to compose yourself, coming down from the high of an incredible match. You’d managed to run through nearly three memory cards, taking well over a thousand pictures of just the game itself. The guys took pictures with fans after the match as interviewers and Tv personnel flocked to their sides.
However, your job was complete, the requirements set forth by Kuroo full-filled. You walked over to your camera bag and began to disassemble and put away your equipment. Unbeknownst to you, someone had followed you.
Tobio stood a mere two feet behind you, his eyes tracking your bent over form as he tried to gather up the courage to speak to you. He’d never had a problem speaking his mind, never an issue telling people what he thought but for some reason, his mouth was incredibly dry despite drinking an excessive amount of water.
He watched as you fiddled with your camera bag, the same bag he’d gifted you for graduation years ago. It was your favorite color and just the right size. His chest filled with pride knowing you were still using it, that you’d still been keeping him close.
While he was staring, you’d turned around, startling and grabbing your chest in surprise at the giant, 6’2” setter standing behind you.
“Good god Tobio you scared me!” You laughed, your hand over your chest as you tried to regain composure.
“I-damn, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to- I was just wanting to… hi YN,” he finally stuttered out as you smiled up at him, his beautiful blue eyes lighting up with joy.
“Hi Tobio. Long time no see!”
“Yeah it’s been a while,” he mumbled, rubbing the back of his head, “I’m glad you could make it.”
“Me too! You did amazing out there. I’d forgotten how different seeing you playing in person was!” You added as he lowered his hand down.
“Seeing me in play in person?”
“Yeah silly, I told you’d I’d be watching you. I meant it. I’ve watched every game,” you answered. He knew you wouldn’t lie to him but just hearing you say it, after wondering for years if you were watching, it made him feel incredible.
“Hey Yn, I’m in town for another week, would you maybe consider having dinner with me?” He inquired, desperately hoping you’d agree to meet with him.
You eyes widened at his question. You hadn’t been expecting this, hadn’t been expecting him to ask you to dinner. You’d thought he might say something to you but never this. Before you could answer, he continued.
“If not it’s ok, it’s just that, well I’ve been thinking about you since I left, and I’d really like to catch up. But if you don’t want to-”
“I’d love to Tobio,” you replied as he jerked back a little.
“Wait really?” You giggled at his reaction as you nodded in confirmation.
“I’ve been thinking about you to, and I’d love to go out with you.” He smiled down at you as your beautiful doe eyes met his.
“Hey Kageyama! Come on man we are going out to celebrate!” Hinata shouted as he waved to you. You waved back as Kageyama looked conflicted between you and Hinata.
“Go and have fun, ok? Text me tomorrow and we will make a plan to meet,” you assured him, squeezing his bicep as he smiled back and nodded. He turned, running towards the locker rooms before stopping and turning back. He ran back up to you as you watched in confusion before being swept up into a tight hug, your body instantly relaxing as you hugged him back. Yep, you definitely missed this.

midnight blue ribbon. - k.tobio
Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: muggleborn siblings, (name) and tooru oikawa, were seperated by a divorce, (name), stayed with her father, starting her magic studies at ilvermorny, and her brother stayed home in england, studying at hogwarts. but somehow, her parents work it out, (name) would be a transferee at hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. facing all sorts of new faces, and new obstacles. any obstacle, you would face head on, as long as the crow with a scroll of parchment tied shut by a midnight blue ribbon, keeps tapping at her dorm window.
warnings: foul language, suggestive jokes (of course, these are hormonal teens we're talking about.), fem reader
genres: fluff
notes: SORRY IF THE SYNOPSIS IS TOO LONG THIS STORY IS A LOT.. this is basically a movie-only harry potter fan makes a hogwarts au so sorry if i have misconceptions on how things work in the wizarding world. and for the sake of the story, oikawa and you are 6th years (both are 17), tobio is a 5th year (he's 16). also i have no idea how the dorm rooms will work so i'm freestyling, since j.k rowling did NOT mention anything about how many students there will be in 1 dorm room since how are there 5 gryffindor boys in their year..? this will start out as an experimental oneshot, and if i get asks to make this a series, i'll continue it! (with painfully slow updates), ALSO I'M FILIPINO I GREW UP WITH ENGLISH BEING A SECOND LANGUAGE SO IM SORRY IF I SCREW GRAMMAR STUFF UP!! definitions for unfamilliar creatures, potions and spells will be linked.
Tumblr media
you thought silence was bearable. well, in fact, you loved silence, it gave you space to think, and relax. but the silence of sitting in the same compartment as your brother, tooru oikawa, is undoubtedly, uncomfortable. not because of the divorce of your parents, and so many years being apart, but because right in front of you, is a 17 year old tooru. he's grown taller than what you expected, and he's now a man. it's hard to find a topic that you'd think your brother would fully engage in a conversation for. you kept thinking of something to talk about, to break the silence, usually, siblings would chat casually, but you eventually forgot what it felt like having a brother. but before anyone in the room could speak, a group of three boys knocked on the glass sliding door of the train compartment, and welcomed themselves in. the boys are about your and your brother's age. a silver haired boy that's surprisingly tall and buff for a teenager makes himself home to the spot next to you, and the other two, a boy with brown hair and sharp green eyes and a boy with intentional bed hair and a cheeky smile sat at the spots next to tooru, sandwiching the poor guy between them.
"woah, that's rare of you to sit with some girl and not with us."
the one with the rooster hair spoke up, and slapped your brother's back with a little smirk, earning a pained groan from him. the others just snickered.
"heya, honey. i'm tetsuro kuroo, but you could call me yours."
he extends his hand to you, expecting a handshake.
"i'm—"
as you grab hold of kuroo's hand, tooru pinches him, forcing him to retract his hand.
"she's my sister, (name). and (name), the idiot next to you is kotaro bokuto, and this lad on my right is hajime iwaizumi."
tooru smiles at you, like it hasn't been years since you've seen eachother. the train engine makes its loud debut, the horns sounding, signalling that it's ready to go. the train departs the station, and your conversations with the 4 boys continue.
"well, if she's your sister, how come i've never seen her round the castle?"
bokuto examines your face with wide, curious eyes, and with a hand to his chin.
"that must be because her robes are blank. she's a transferee, i think."
iwaizumi just casually crosses his leg over to his other, and relaxes his back onto the cushion of the seat. kuroo smiled, he caught sight of the old trolley witch walking along with a cart filled with sweets, stood up, and bought something for himself. tooru had his head back, clearly fighting his sleepiness, bokuto on the other hand, is busy showing off his chocolate frog cards to you, but all the information just slipped your mind. kuroo returns to his seat, and hands you a cauldron cake in a small, colorful box.
"thought it'd only be right to give you a hogwarts welcoming gift."
you accept it gracefully. this guy's not so bad, not like his hair, at all. you space out, while looking at the box, and you smile at it like it's your first child.
all of the boys in your compartment, slowly fell asleep as time progresses on your trip to your new school. as the morning, turned into noon, nearing sunset. you got a little bored, and started to observe the students walking past your compartment. most were first years, with blank robes like you, exploring around. but one student caught your eyes. A boy with dark hair, slightly younger than you, angrily stomping around with a scowl on his face, a few black feathers flying out from.. wherever. you wondered, whatever could have caused that terrifying expression? but, you decided not to ponder on it a little more than that. you stayed awake the entire time so you could wake your brother and his friends just on time to hop off the train.
the train stopped at its one and only destination from king's cross; hogwarts. you woke the boys up, one by one.
"we're at hogwarts, get up everyone."
the four groaned, and eventually got up, to get off the train, with you following along. a giant man with an equally giant beard named hagrid, guided the students to where they needed to be. in a boat. honestly, it felt like you were in a can of sardines, since the boat you're on is filled with 17 year olds. you looked at the boat that's floating beside you, it's the guy who's running around with feathers up his ass, or something. he's a lot more charming, and a lot less scary than when you first saw him. sitting beside him, is a bright orange haired boy, you could've sworn you saw him as a big, spiky, floating tangerine that someone could've casted the levitation charm on in your peripheral vision. the orange little guy is bouncing around on the boat, causing little ripples to appear in the still water, an older silver haired boy that appears to be a seventh year, holds the boy down, in fear of the boat flipping upside down.
"they're a rowdy bunch, don't mind them, unless you'd love to lend an ear to their extensive, passionate talks about quidditch."
"i don't know about that, tetsu, that little shrimp there's pretty fun to talk to!"
bokuto waves at the boy he's talking about, getting a cheerful wave and a very loud "HELLO, BOKUTO!!" in return, before that same seventh year scolds him. kuroo notices you staring a liiiittle too long at a certain boy, that's now currently yelling at his.. friend? aquaintance? enemy? you don't even know. he chuckles, he's about to say something to tease you for staring, but he'll keep it to himself. for now, at least. the boats start moving towards the large marble castle, built atop an island. the boats dock at a safe spot for everyone to get off themselves, and the first years excitedly glance around, their eyes darting from place to place, with a sparkle of wonder in them. you were about to follow your brother and his best men directly into the great hall, but iwaizumi stops you.
"oh, uh. you're supposed to go with the first years. you haven't been sorted yet, so you'll go a bit later than we're going. and don't fret, transferees get sorted first, it'll be over within seconds."
you nod, and you nervously started to walk in the direction of the first years, nervously waving your new aquaintances, and your brother, goodbye. you follow the tiny children to a hallway, where bags, trunks, the cages and carriers of the students' pets are stacked, up some polished stone stairs, to a large door, which you assume is an entrance to the great hall. a witch stood there, presumably waiting for the first years. which would be the professor, stepped in front of the many tiny witches and wizards, you tower over them, making you stick out like a sore thumb.
"welcome to hogwarts. i am professor mcgonagall, the head of gryffindor house. now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors, and join your classmates. before you take your seats, you will be sorted into one of four houses. they are gryffindor, hufflepuff, ravenclaw and slytherin..."
professor mcgonagall stood with a graceful, and dignified stature, and continued to explain about the house cup, and its point system, based on the behavior and achievements of the students of a hogwarts house.
"the sorting ceremony, will begin shortly."
she walks away, leaving to enter the great hall. while you wait, you keep yourself occupied with a chocolate frog card, that bokuto gave you earlier on the train while he talked about his full collection. it's a card of godric gryffindor. you were busy assessing the design of the card, when a little girl with a head of familliar orange hair, tugs at your robes.
"i see you have a godric gryffindor card! uh, can we trade? i have a helga hufflepuff one, if you're interested. i have 5 copies of her, so don't worry. i reaaaaally need that one to complete my hogwarts founder cards!"
you smiled, and you gladly accepted her trade offer.
"of course, i'll take you up on your offer. here you go."
she beams, and she takes the card out of your hands, and replaces it with one that's of helga hufflepuff.
"my name's natsu! if you ever have a card of merlin or of ollivander's, you can easily find me if you wanna trade some more!"
"well, i'm (name), i can't completely guarantee i'll get those cards, i'll at least make sure to expand my inventory."
you laughed, and natsu reminded you of your own tiny 11 year old self, cheerfully chatting with your classmates at ilvermorny. professor mcgonagall walks in again.
"we're ready for you now, please follow me."
the professor leads everyone through two large doors, which proceeds to the great hall, where there are four long tables, hundreds— no, maybe thousands of students are sitting at. floating candles dot the ceiling of the hall, you overhear a student talking about how the ceiling is bewitched to look like the night sky. you, and the first years are led to the front of the hall, facing all the hogwarts students in the tables of their respective houses, some looked bored, and didn't bother observing the sorting ceremony, others excitedly waited for their younger siblings to be sorted, and a few people looked interested in the older kid in a sea of first years. you turn to your other side, you saw a long table similar to the tables you've just seen, but a little shorter. there, sat several professors, and professor dumbledore. then your eyes lead you to a small stool, with a hat on it.
"all right, will you wait along here, please? now, before we begin, professor dumbledore would like to say a few words."
mcgonagall stepped aside, for everyone to see the wizard, rising from the main table. it was just something about the third floor being a dangerous place, and about the forbidden forest being.. well, forbidden.
"when i call your name, you will come forth, then you shall be sorted into your houses, but, first, i would like to make an announcement to.. all students."
professor mcgonagall walked up to the center, and talked with a stern, and booming voice, enough to be heard from the end of the great hall,
"before we begin the sorting ceremony of the first years, i would like to welcome a new student from ilvermorny, being a transfer student, i, and the staff of hogwarts, expect you to welcome her with open arms. now, will miss (name) oikawa step forward to have your house sorted?"
you gulped, as you sat on the stool, mcgonagall picks up the hat, and places it upon your head.
"now what have we here?"
the hat spoke. the hat spoke. and you thought your life was magical enough, now there's a talking hat, on your head.
"quite the interesting girl we have.. let me ask you, what house would you prefer to be in?"
"... never thought about it, sorry, sorting hat."
"would you walk a path you create for yourself, or would you walk on the path that others paved for you?"
"... i would rather walk the path i create myself, i guess."
"you'll be great in.. hufflepuff!"
the students clapped, and mcgonagall pointed at the hufflepuff table, for you to know where you now belong. you stared at the helga hufflepuff card you traded your gryffindor card for. would this be some funny coincidence? you sat down at the table, and you were sat beside a blonde girl with hazel eyes, and a boy with long hair, tied into a bun, and facial hair. he oddly looks like an adult.
"i know what you're thinking, with the facial hair, stature, i know. i'm asahi, i'm a seventh year. nice to meet you, and welcome to hufflepuff."
he took your hand, and shook it.
"nice to meet you too!"
you felt like he was easy to talk to, despite his intimidating features.
"and i'm hitoka..!"
the girl beside you, yelled a little too loudly, and students from other tables turned their heads at her. she quickly sits down, and slams her head against the wooden table.
"oh my god, are you okay?"
you panicked, and put your hand on her shoulder, to make sure she's okay.
"god, that was embarassing!"
asahi, from beside you, sighs, and quietly pulls out his wand, and conjures up a spell.
"glacius."
the tip of his wand glowed a cool white, a small blizzard of snowflakes clustered up together, the cold breeze rushing into a cup, freezing the water, and they turn into ice cubes. the silver haired older kid you saw earlier while you were in a boat, quickly pulls out a handkerchief, flattens it onto the table on your side.
"wingardium leviosa."
asahi casts the levitation charm on the ice cubes in the cup, the ice floating seamlessly in the air. asahi lowers it down onto the small cloth that was laid down. he wraps it up, and hands it to the young girl beside you.
"you do this every year, hitoka, that head slamming's gonna turn you dumb, you've already earned a p in your defence against the dark arts o.w.l's!"
"that's because i missed studying for that! i was taking extra classes and i had too much on my hands!"
that same silver haired guy held genuine concern for hitoka, sort of like tough love from a mother. the blonde groans, the faint bruise on her forehead is already embarrassing enough to deal with, but it hurts like hell.
"if you're wondering, the student that is incredibly infuriated, yet worried about poor hitoka beside you, is koshi sugawara, the hufflepuff house prefect and head boy."
asahi introduces you to the student. he's quite the charmer, his face sort of looks.. refreshing. sugawara smiles at you, and opens his mouth to say,
"hitoka's fine, she's always gets like this whenever she meets someone new. last year, she's knocked down a full cauldron of draught of living death, onto a gryffindor student, yu nishinoya. she was partnered with him in potions class. it melted through his robes, and i had to help a prefect carry him to the hospital wing."
sugawara grimaces, remembering the time the potion melted a hole through his robes, and lightly burned nishinoya's skin. the sorting ceremony concluded, and the feast begins. silver platters filled with all kinds of food, suddenly appear at the students' house tables. you, of course, picked your favorites from them, you hear really aggressive muffled yelling from the gryffindor table. you raised you head from your food, and to the source of the commotion, that same duo from the boat, were eating really fast. that feathery, dark haired boy was eating fast, but he gives time to chew, and not look like a mess. meanwhile, the ginger that sat beside him, energetically stuffed his cheeks to the brim with all kinds of food, stacking platters upon platters.
"how the hell does hinata not get a stomachache after his eating competitions with kageyama? i'd immediately surrender within 7 full plates.."
asahi, sort of looked sick. though, you agree with what he said. you can eat no more than a few plates before feeling sick from being full, and begging for the food to digest faster.
"all that food, and none of that goes to his height."
you saw a blonde boy with a brown undercut at the slytherin table, snicker at the two, a boy with grey hair, and the same undercut that looks exactly the same as him, just doesn't bother looking at the two.
"atsumu miya, and his twin brother, osamu. they're slight assholes— actually, maybe a little more that slight, if there's a word for that. atsumu is a loud asshole, and osamu is just a little more discreet about his assholeyness, you know? but they're tooootally monsters at quidditch. maybe them being mean little dudes give them an advantage. oh! and i'm satori tendo, by the way! nice to meet a student from ilvermorny!"
another spiky haired student appears in front of you. and you'd be convinced if someone told you that hogwarts is a magnet for people with weird hair. you just smiled, and shook hands with the guy.
"also, oikawa? would that mean that you'd be the sister of mr. freaky pleasant face?"
tendo squints at you and tilts his head.
"mr. freaky pleasant face? does tooru hook up with girls or something?"
at the mention of his name, your brother turns to your table. he's a slytherin, so he's quite close to where you are.
"no, i do NOT get into those kinds of activities."
he defends himself with a sure and stern voice. and he glares at tendo, the look on his face saying 'if you say anything that's weird and absolutely untrue to my sister, i'll smash your face in with a quaffle.'
"well, he does have lots of girls pining after him, it'd only make sense if he'd done that with some of them. also, hey (name)! shame you're a hufflepuff, i would've loved showing you around the common room."
kuroo waves at you with a stupid smile, but immediately drops it when tooru elbows him in his sides.
"well, that's that."
tendo giggles a little at the situation. later, your house prefect leads you and the new hufflepuff residents to your dorms. sugawara suggests that you should be beside him, so you don't accidentally bump into a shorter first year. your group of hufflepuffs are lead to an underground passageway, the basement of the castle, decorated with lots of paintings of food.
"the paintings are there, 'cause the kitchens and the hufflepuff dorms are kind of in the same corridor."
sugawara says, beside you. this passageway is lit warmly, with torches. despite this being a basement, it gives off the most homely energy. you could hear the house elves behind the shut castle kitchen's doors chatter, and prepare recipes that could possibly be for tomorrow's breakfast. you could smell the familliar scent of baked goods wafting into your nose.
"other students drop by the dorms and common room regularly. it's pretty comfortable, and it feels like home. not just to hufflepuffs, but to all hogwarts students."
sugawara then stops in front of a circle door, framed by pretty vines, a pile of large barrels were stacked in a shadowy recess on the right-hand-side of the corridor. sugawara tapped on the barrel two from the bottom, a barrel middle of the second row in a rhythm that sounds similar to the name of the hufflepuff founder, 'helga hufflepuff'. the lid of the barrel swung open, and sugawara turns to all of you.
"(name), you go first, then i follow. the rest of you first-years, just follow along with us please."
"do i.. crawl through?"
"what else would you do? now go ahead."
you gulped, and entered the barrel, crawling along the sloping, earthy passage that seemed to travel upwards, revealing the common room, in its cozy, yellow glory. the hufflepuff common room is said to 'always feel sunny'. and it really does. no wonder why people love this place, the place has circular windows, that have a view of a vast land of grass and dandelions, the room is just the perfect place to be, the smell from the kitchens are making this place even cozier. there are interesting looking plants, their pots, hanging from the ceiling. sugawara snaps all of you out of your awe, and reminds you that you're here to look at where you'll be sleeping for your stay at hogwarts. the dormitories are reached through round doors in the common room. he opens the dormitory doors, to a stone staircase, one end, spiraling downstairs, and one end for upstairs.
"girl's dorms are up there, boy's dorms are down here. your belongings should've already been brought to your dorms. if there's anything missing, or if there's a mix-up in anything, let me know, and i'll help."
sugawara gestures you up to the girl's dorm, where you find that the dormitory is actually a tower, dorms seperated by years. the sixth years are on the sixth floor, so you head up there, alone. you arrived at what you assumed to be the sixth year girls dorms, there are several circular doors for you to go through, but luckily, there are names on small wooden planks for students and their roommates. you enter the dorm with your name on a plank, and only one other student. 'yui michimiya'. you immediately spot your cat, in her carrier. she must've waited for you, beside your own luggage and trunks, all this time. you immediately free your cat from her confines, and set down her food & water bowl. you notice that your roommate's immediately tucked in for the night, dozing off in her bed.. the lights were dimmed down to adjust to the night. someone knocks on your dorm door. you get up, to open it, and there standing before you, is sugawara.
"madam sprout wants you to be in the common room with the first years, it's mandatory. she'll just hand you the timetable schedules, and some guidelines, and the history of hufflepuff, and what not. i'm sure you already know your way, so i'll just head down to the boys dorms."
he smiles with his lips, and moves out of the way, his arms leading you out of your dorm room, sort of like a 'ladies first' gesture, and you make your way down first, and opening the door connecting the dormitories to the common room. there, you find around 10 first years, the amount of hufflepuff girls and boys split evenly into a 5:5 ratio, sat on the many couches and chairs. you make your way to an empty solo couch, and madam sprout clears her throat to turn the chattering students' attention to her.
"first years, i'm your head of house, madam sprout, and i'd like to welcome to your house, hufflepuff! now, before we go on to hand out your timetables for class, let's go over a brief introduction to the founding of the hufflepuff house, and helga hufflepuff's role in founding hogwarts."
she did exactly what she said, and touched on the topics she mentioned.
"helga hufflepuff was one of four founders of hogwarts, while the other founders, godric gryffindor, salazar slytherin and even rowena ravenclaw chose their favorites or, 'special students', helga hufflepuff accepts all witches and wizards of all backgrounds, whether you'd be a muggle, a pureblood, or a halfblood."
you were trying not to fall asleep immediately, but once the short history lesson ended, she handed everybody their set class timetables. the first years have transfiguration in the morning, and you have potions. madam sprout dismisses all of you, and you and the 5 other hufflepuff girls head into the girls dorm tower, and tucked in for the night. you quietly open your dorm door, careful not to wake your roommate, and you changed into a nightgown, a sleeping garment you thought was corny, but your dad insisted getting you lots of elegant nightgowns, as hogwarts is a castle, and you're a lady, and you'll fit right in like a character from a fairytale. well, he's certainly right about that, looking at yourself in the mirror, it felt sort of awkward, but it also felt right. being a student in a gorgeous historical castle wouldn't be that bad. and with those thoughts, you head straight to bed.
-
you jolt awake from the sound of metal dropping. you blink your eyes, to adjust to the sunlight, shining from the dorm windows, and you see.. your roommate. yui michimiya. she bent down on the floor, not noticing you, already awake. she picked up what seems to be her ring from the floor with a subtle smile, and proceeds to turn in your direction, and lands her eyes on you, with a shriek.
"good morning.."
you waved at her, a yawn accompanying your morning greetings. what a great first impression. you looked at your pocket watch. 5:24 am.
"merlin, you scared me!"
michimiya puts her hand to her chest, with a slouched pose to make it look like she's seen enough of things that scared her.
"i'm yui, i'm pretty sure you've seen the name on the.. thing?"
she adjusts her tie.
"uh, yeah. why are you up so early? don't classes start at 8?"
"oh, uh, i usually go for a morning stroll, but you could also take that time to freshen up, eat breakfast, and stuff.. sorry if i'm not a good hogwarts tour guide, i just have a lot going on. sugawara usually wakes up earlier than everyone, so he must be in the common room. you could ask him!"
michimiya quickly dashes outside. i wonder what's gotten her like that? you decide to change into some new robes, and get ready for the day.. and maybe make a stop at the kitchens for toast. you adjust your yellow and black tie in the mirror, eyes lingering on the hufflepuff patch on your robes. your first day in hogwarts, ever. you grab your leather book bag, not bothering to check what's in it and you head to the common room, to find michimiya, chatting with an older student in the same house, their fingers interlocking, and they look.. very in-love. you thought she went for a stroll.. but you'd rather not think on it. you find sugawara, on the common room couch by the fireplace, reading a book. he turns to you and he waves.
"good morning, (name)! heading to the great hall for breakfast? i'll come with you."
"i thought i'd need a good meal before doing anything."
sugawara chuckles, and guides you out of the common rooms, from the passageway, to the great hall. only a few students are eating, after all, it's only the beginning of the breakfast hours. sugawara leads you a table where his friends are sitting at. this time, the houses aren't divided by tables, but students are free to come and go from one table to another. you are sat at the gryffindor table, a house where majority of sugawara's friends are in.
"yooo suga!"
a loud student with a small stature greeted sugawara.
"oh, (name), this is uh, nishinoya."
"is.. is that the draught of living death guy?"
"ah, well, yes."
sugawara awkwardly scratches the back of his neck, since nishinoya's pretty embarrased about that incident.
"it's the transferee girl! i'm shoyo hinata, transferees are pretty rare around here. what's ilvermorny like? is the food different?"
the boy with a meadow of orange on his head eagerly asked you so many questions, and his friend pulls him down onto the bench by the robes.
"can't you stay still for a second? don't ask questions all the sudden."
"and this grump over here is tobio kageyama."
hinata pointed at the guy he was referring to. you looked over at him, and you waved with a friendly smile. he just.. didn't wave back? or say anything? he just stiffens and doesn't spare you a glance. sugawara looked at him with a knowing smirk.
"don't tell me.."
hinata looks at the both of them, confused, nishinoya deciding he'll keep to himself, his mouth is busy chewing his food anyway. the gryffindor's breakfast table sort of looked like a buffet, with a spread of all sorts of breakfast food. you let out an awkward sounding fake laugh, then grabbed some toast, and other stuff you like, and you ate your food, in silence.
"where's kei? thought he'd escape bokuto asking for homework answers."
the words of nishinoya's question were muffled, since he stuffed his face with seemingly one of all the food on the table.
"asking? that's borderline harrassment."
sugawara directs his head to a cheery bokuto asking all sorts of questions to an amazingly tall boy, with blonde hair and glasses and a blank face across the great hall, at the ravenclaw table. he makes his way to the gryffindor table, with bokuto sticking to him like glue.
"hey, hey, hey! it's (name)!"
he walks behind you and ruffles your hair. the beanpole sits next to you, and quietly continues eating, silently sending an apology to you, hoping that bokuto's attention would be diverted from him.
"hey, could you ask tooru if he's doing well in any of the subjects? i want him to catch me up on anything."
"oh, sure! nice to see ya again, and enjoy your first day (name)!"
you waved bokuto goodbye, and sighed. you liked his prescence, but you needed a little chill today.
"that was smart."
"thanks..? uh.."
the guy beside you praised your efforts at driving bokuto away, the ravenclaw notices how you were about to call him by name, but you don't even know it.
"kei. kei tsukishima."
"oh, uh. thanks, kei, i'm (name)."
he nods, and continues poking at the fried chicken on his plate with his fork. wow, this guy's pretty hard to talk to. sugawara leans in closer to your ear and says,
"don't worry about him, he's not used to interaction with girls, same with kageyama."
sugawara chuckles, he's a pretty good guide. after you were finished with eating (and chatting with all of gryffindor), you stood up, and pulled out a piece of parchment with your class schedule on it. you had a potions class at seven, it's now currently 6:47 am. you figured you'd get to class early. sugawara, tsukishima, hinata, nishinoya and kageyama got up with you too, all of them, except sugawara going ahead, it's just kageyama lagging behind the group.
"sugawara, could you show me where the potions classes are?"
"oh, i have divination, and i need to get there fast.. hmm.. oh! tobio has potions next, he could show you. tobio!"
he called out to the boy, and he came jogging back, with a menacing look on his face. scary.
"could you lead her to the potions classroom? i have divination, i'll think of something to pay you back!"
he froze up, again. does he really not like you? or is he just like that because you're an older girl?
"... sure."
"i'm counting on you, thanks, dude!"
sugawara ran to the exit of the great hall, waving to the two of you behind him. now, it's just you and mr. girl anxiety. he turns to you with a weird face.
"f..follow me."
merlin, his talking game with women is at rock bottom. compared to your brother, who could charm people to his advantage, this guy's charisma is abysmal. hopefully, he grows out of it. you apologise to him in your head for straight up insulting him. well, maybe his awkwardness is his charm. you two started walking out of the great hall. you're having trouble keeping up, since this guy makes crazy strides with his long legs. you were panting just from trying to keep up with him.
"w—"
you inhale, exhale.
"wait! merlin, you're fast."
he freezes in his steps. you were leaning on the stone walls, sitting on the dusty floor, just resting. he realizes he was walking too fast, and extends his hand towards you, averting his gaze.
"sorry. but we'd best not be late, i'll.. i'll walk a little slower this time."
looking up at him from this angle, he's bloody gorgeous. dark hair, eyes the color of the deepest parts of the ocean, you're almost tempted to dive in. his lips turning into a subtle pout, his unbelievably perfect eyebrows furrowed, disappointed by his mistake. you sigh, and get up, with the assistance of your grip on his hand.
"it's okay."
and this time, he adjusts to your pace perfectly, like you're walking with a reflection of yourself. freaky. you arrive at your classroom, and you enter, to be greeted by the sights of a low ceiling, shelves filled with potions, cauldrons, all sorts of glassware and equipment, and potion ingredients, students bringing out their books and their own cauldrons. professor snape turns his head, he stares down at the both of you, an intimidating energy emitting from him. but really, it's just him applauding the transferee for being early, usually new students would get lost inside the castle before they could make it to class. your wise decision to ask to get someone to lead you to the right place saved you from embarassment on your first day.
kageyama taps your shoulder, pointing at the cauldrons on the shelf. you had your cauldron in your trunk, and somehow its' whisked itself out of it and put neatly on the potions classroom's shelves. you both grab your respective cauldrons and found a table where you could make potions in peace, in the back. kageyama pulls out a chair for you to sit in, and made himself comfortable on the stool beside you. that's kind of him. you looked at the boy beside you, he has his book of advanced potions out, so you grab your book bag, and looked inside. your herbology book, history of magic, DADA and astronomy book were all in there, but.. you realize that you forgot your potions textbook. you look for professor snape in the room, maybe he has a spare book! but, he's quite scary to talk to, so asking him for a spare is crossed out on the list. so you turn to the only option left.
"uh, hey, tobio. could you share the book? i forgot mine back at the dorms, i wanna do some light reading."
"yeah, it's alright, i guess.."
he slides the textbook in your direction.
"don't you need it too?"
"yeah, but i don't find it to be necessary reading before class."
ouch, was that a jab at your habit of reviewing, or is he just this honest? he really doesn't sugarcoat things. you quietly open the book so you could read. suddenly, kageyama places his two long fingers onto the paper of the book, and gently moves it a little towards him. and under his breath, he mumbles,
"i guess i could use some reading."
odd. that's odd. he said that he didn't like reviewing before class, but now he's doing it. pick a struggle, man. you move your chair closer to his, so you could see better. your arms were touching at this distance. kageyama let out a quiet grunt, his eyes narrowing at the words printed onto the paper, his eyebrows furrowing in what seemed to be frustration, his cheeks blooming into the subtlest pink. if he's that bothered just by reading, why'd he volunteer to read with you anyways? a few minutes pass by, and class begins, kageyama pulling his eyes away from the book, and sighed in relief. snape warned every student in his class that 'there will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class.' and taking turns asking every student questions, including kageyama and you.
"where would you look if you were to find me a bezoar?"
"i— uh.."
kageyama aggressively flips the pages of his advanced potions book, but snape slams the book shut, almost trapping kageyama's whole hand in there, if it weren't for his reflexes.
"take this seriously, mr. kageyama. where. would. you. find. me. a. bezoar?"
"uh.. something about a goat stomach."
"so close, yet so far. you, new student. where would you find a bezoar?"
you jolted, and pointed at yourself with wide eyes and raised eyebrows.
"who else in this room would i ask?"
"uh— a bezoar is a stone in a goat's stomach.. that can save you from.. almost any poisons?"
"end that sentence with a period, ms. oikawa. but alas, you are correct. five points to.. hufflepuff, and for that poor answer from mr. kageyama, five points will be taken from gryffindor."
snape narrows his eyes at you, before proceeding to continue with his lessons. you put your hand on where your heart would rest, currently beating as fast as a zouwu. and about as fast as a zouwu, the classes end, leaving students with free time after dinner. there was a windstorm earlier today, and the owl post was delayed until tomorrow afternoon. you're just strolling with kageyama and hinata, the carrothead wanted to show you the gryffindor seeker and the gryffindor beater's skills at the quidditch field, and you were making your way there, but a pretty girl with glasses comes up to the three of you, and hands you a poster for a stargazing event to welcome new and senior students to hogwarts.
"you guys should check out if you're interested! now, i've gotta go pass these on to the others!"
the girl ran, she ran at impressive speeds, like she was born to be a track athlete. you stared at the poster in your hands, the two boys peering behind you to see what's up.
'stargazing event for old and new students at 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm at the astronomy tower. food catered by the house elves! (professors agreed to let us do this.)'
there was an enchanted moving picture below the text, the stars were shooting across the night sky, above hogwarts. despite looking so hastily printed, it's still quite impressive. hinata showed amusement and showed amusement at the poster and the upcoming event that happens in an hour.
"ooh.. seems cool! wanna go, kageyama?"
"that's stupi—"
"i'd like to go, free food is free food."
you shrugged, hinata nodded and threw finger guns your way, and anticipated an answer from the boy with hair colored like the night sky.
"... free food wouldn't be so bad."
hinata quite literally jumped for joy, and you three decided to pass the time by slowly strolling to the astronomy tower, since you're pretty far from it, seeing as you're near the greenhouses. you continued talking to both of them, but you notice kageyama stop in his tracks, and he looks up at the both of you.
"i think i forgot something, i'll go back to the divination classroom, i think i'll make it on time if i ever find it immediately, you go on ahead."
as much as kageyama hates being left behind by his rival and friend, hinata, this time he strangely decides to not come along.
"well, you're gonna miss out on everything, since you couldn't even find your quill when you placed it under your book."
hinata commented. he was referencing to the transfiguration class earlier that afternoon, when professor mcgonagall wanted us to take notes, but kageyama couldn't find his quill.
"oh, fuck off."
kageyama huffed, and jogged straight for the divination classroom. when the time came, you were at the charms classroom's entrance, near the astronomy tower. there were already lots of students by the time you got there. hinata's eyes sparkled at how pretty the entrance of the astronomy tower looked. there were floating lanterns, with balls of light that looked like stars in them, and bright ravenclaw blue ribbons and sashes hanging above the entrance. the students seemed to have dates or have brought their romantic partners along. you see familiar faces, like the slytherin twins from earlier, atsumu and osamu miya, with gorgeous girls from the houses of gryffindor and ravenclaw, even kuroo, with a boy that looked like a girl, with short bob hair that looked to be dyed blonde, as the roots of his hair were black. he seemed to be best friends with him, he seemed disinterested in the astronomy event as a whole, since he's just reading.
"woah, good job, g.g.g!'
hinata said, with an impressed voice and crossed arms.
"g.g.g? what's that?"
"gorgeous glasses girl! y'know the girl from earlier?"
you laughed, hinata's got such a creative mind, making all sorts of remarks here and there. kuroo waved and greeted you with a smile, dragging the poor ravenclaw along, the boy grimaces, as kuroo takes his book, and sort of 'confiscates' it.
"heyy, (name)! and of course, hello, shrimpy."
at the mention of the nickname 'shrimpy', the boy beside him, became a little less disinterested, his scowl transforming into a blank face, his eyes sparkling in interest juuuust a little at hinata. you're willing to bet they're really close. hinata wraps his arm around the two tone haired boy's shoulders, and they continue chatting about quidditch, quidditch teams, and if he (pudding head) will continue being a seeker after suffering a major injury. it seems that the pudding haired boy broke his arm in his last quidditch match, and it hit his motivation really badly. but then, it hits you, hinata's distracted, and he's slowly walking toward the astronomy tower without you.
"hey, hinata! hey— ugh, it's no use, he's incredibly distracted."
"haha, when they're talking, especially if they haven't seen eachother in so long, it's almost like they're in their own world."
kuroo crossed his arms, and watched them walk away.
"besides, you've got me now! i'm interesting to talk to, y'know!"
"you're interesting when you're interesting, and that's not right now."
"ouch."
-
inside the tower, there were tables with roll-top chafing dishes in all shapes, similar to a muggle buffet. the food ranged from salads, pastries, meat dishes, desserts and drinks. the students were at the astronomy tower's railings, admiring the stars, there were a group of students who volunteered to sing on a built stage, dressed in shiny suits and dresses, singing songs in the genre of 'bossa nova'. kuroo had acompanied you in the tower, talking, or rather, complaining about how your brother's a little too charming for his tastes, and about how he's using that charm to weasel away from trouble, and left the blame onto him or his friends. well, that didn't sound uncharacteristic of him, you're speaking from experience, you didn't even bother to resonate with him since it's not like you've never tried to flutter your eyelashes a bit too hard to get yourself out of trouble. like brother, like sister.
but kuroo got a little caught up in the small crowd of his admirers, immediately healing his ego, and let you 'go on ahead'. you're fine with him just talking to someone and staying beside him, but this is still about the third time this has happened that evening. your mind wandered to the location of kageyama, and if he managed to find the item he's searching for, while swishing the party punch you've got in a glass, in your hands. some guys tried to get your attention, but you didn't bother. later, most of the girls in the room with you suddenly squealed. your brother, was fashionably late as usual. 'the best man in the room always comes late.' he always said that as an excuse when he's late for dinner, when he really just was snooping around your mum and dad's stuff from their time at hogwarts. oikawa approaches you, but you notice he has no partner. you look at him, confused.
"thought i'd show some decency and make a good impression on you."
"so you're only indecent when i'm.. not around?"
your brother hisses, obviously embarassed by how you took his words, but he knows you like to joke around.
"i'm surprised you're not in slytherin, seeing how your comments are."
"well, i know my limits."
"you know, we haven't had a proper conversation the entire day."
"i mean, i was busy with adjusting to a new environment."
he nods. then, from his robe's pockets, he takes out a box, one that's old, the printed red color on it is cracked, and he placed it in your hands.
"what's this?"
"the thing you gave me before you left with dad. you told me to return it to you when we meet again, but i couldn't find the right time to."
you look down at the box, and opened it. the specially enchanted mokeskin pouch that your parents had enchanted to share between yourselves, and a note, containing the promise of returning the box to you. you take out the pouch, and you opened it, inside was pictures of the two of you with your parents on vacation in romania, your mother's color changing gloves, and the invisible ink you bought with your first allowance of 40 galleons. your eyes softened at the items, and the memories that came with them, and you looked up at your brother with an emotional face.
"i thought you forgot."
"i certainly almost did."
you were slowly getting used to talking to your brother again, and it felt so warm being with family in an unfamiliar place. you look around, craning your neck to sort out a person in the crowd of red, yellow, green and blue.
"who are you looking for? you have a date or something, eh? eeeehhh?"
your brother squints his eyes at you, curious of who was able to convince his sister, despite your comfortable and chill personality, you usually refuse any advances that involve outright flirting.
"excuse you, i don't have one. just a friend i'm waiting for."
"that's exactly how it sounds like. a date."
"do you actually know what a date is?"
"you're asking the right person!"
you waved violently once you spotted the person you were waiting for—
"tobio kageyama! over here!"
"his full legal name, and everything. also, kageyama? that guy's your date?"
you lower your hand, once kageyama sees you, he was coming towards the both of you, then backs away a little bit once he sees oikawa.
"tobio, it's fine, just pretend he doesn't exist, did you ever find what you were looking for?"
"hey, you're not answering me!"
"oh, good evening, uhm, oikawa..? i never managed to find anything, so i'll have to continue looking before curfew."
"just call me (name), we're both oikawa, so it's kind of weird."
kageyama nods, but the tall toddler next to you is just looking between the gryffindor, and you. sort of like a 'what's your relationship with him???' you completely block your brother's prescence from your sight. he notices, and with a huff, he pushes the two of you away from eachother.
"you ought to stop.. being so.. so... frivolous!"
the chocolate haired boy you call your only sibling, sternly yells, and glares at the both of you, the other students glancing your way.
"what was that for?"
"it's almost to 10:30, so you two best be off to bed in your seperare houses, no boy and girl action shall happen between you kids, you hear?"
"hey, i was born 20 minutes earlier than you, you have no right to tell me what my bedtime is and the professors clearly allowed us to stay up past curf—"
the 20 minute younger oikawa sibling pushes both you and kageyama out of the astronomy tower, from the top, down the stairs, complaining about how he's acting like the older sibling, quite embarassing being babied by your younger by a few minutes brother. he heads back up and on his way up the stairs, he kept glancing at the both of you.
"he's weird."
kageyama remarked. you had nothing to say but you just gave him a nod to say that you definitely agree.
"should we go back up?"
kageyama looked down at you.
"no, i'm pretty sure tooru will stop us."
"fair point, i think that the professors might show up to interrupt to make sure that the party ends by 10:30."
he shrugged. at this point, you two were pretty tired.
"i'll just go to bed then, it's better if i sleep early anyways."
you raised your hand for a moment and dropped it, a lazy goodbye to the gryffindor behind you. but he calls out your name.
"(name)!"
you turn to the boy, a short distance seperates you two. you hummed to acknowledge his calling.
"i, uh.. isn't it rude to let a girl walk alone?"
"no? i don't think it is."
"oh, uhm, see you tomorrow.."
his cheeks were dusted with a light pink, and just awkwardly waved, and he walked in the seperate direction. weird. but you unknowingly turned down kageyama's very vague offer to walk you to your house's common room.
-
after a long walk from the astronomy tower to the hufflepuff girls dorms, you flop onto your bed, uniform still on, you're not even bothering to change into a nightgown. you rolled around in the sheets for a while, waiting for your eyes to feel heavy and fall asleep while practicing the spells of 'nox' and 'lumos'. the light flickers from the tip of your wand, as you say the required words for the spell to work, you were getting sleepy, your hand slowly letting go of your wand. before it slips through as your hands relax, a loud tap is heard on the glass of your window. you simply dismiss it. then, a louder tap echoes through the room, waking you up.
"oh, merlin's beard! what is that sound!?"
you drag yourself from your bed and assessed the window, the glass has been shaped, and you could barely make up what's outside. all you know is that the culprit of the window tapping is round. you open your window, to see a crow. a very beautiful one, its beak was holding onto a teeny tiny roll of parchment, a cloth rolled into it with very familliar patterns, tied shut into a neat bow, by a midnight blue silk ribbon.
"you got a message for me, little guy?"
you hold out your hand, so it can just drop it onto there and go back to its owner. it did, but it never left your side. you unroll the piece of paper, revealing the hankerchief your mother gave you before you went to america with your dad. the paper under it reads;
'you dropped this, be careful of your belongings.'
and nothing else was attatched. you were wondering why the crow wouldn't leave when messenger birds were usually trained to leave immediately after someone recieves something they brought. you squint at the object reteurned to you, and you look through your pockets to find they were empty. so you really dropped it.
"thank you, feathery friend. you can leave, but before you do.."
you tied the ribbon included with your missing hankerchief onto its neck, and the bird flew away. 'what a strange bird.' you thought. and you decided that was a sign for you to change into your nightgown and not sleep in your uniform.
-
the next day wasn't so bad, you were a little more familliar with the layout of the school, though you almost were late to charms class. speaking of charms, you just finished the class, and all of you were dismissed by professor flitwick early, since he figured that the next lesson would be too much to fit into one class. you had actually befriended the boys that you sat next to, the miya twins, though they were not your type of people, they were easy to get along with. one of your favorite moments in your first charms class would be when professor flitwick asked if you could magically persuade a pineapple to dance off your desk, and the miya twins just blasted their pineapples off the desk.
"well, professor, ya did say that we'd have 'ta get the pineapples off our desks, magically!" atsumu argued.
"and they did spin 'round a little.. wouldn't that count as a dance?" osamu backed his brother up.
"no, you blasted it using flipendo, and they didn't dance. two points from slytherin."
you chuckled to yourself at their ridiculous behavior. you felt a finger tap at your right shoulder, you turned, there was nothing there, then at your left, still nothing. you frantically turn and find the miya twins snickering at you.
"heya, pretty! ya ready for some lunch? we got great people to introduce ya to at our table!"
atsumu wrapped his arm around your shoulder. but osamu just stays by your side, students pass by, heading to the great hall or talking to their friends. you smile at atsumu, but in the distance behind him, was kageyama, with messed up hair, and a very disappointed professor mcgonagall scolding him for missing transfiguration, while on his way to the great hall. you look at him, he's pretty fucked up looking. his necktie isn't even tied, and he forgot one of his socks. then you notice, a silky, shiny blue ribbon, tied to his pinky finger. that very same midnight blue ribbon that you tied to the crow last night.

SENTIMENTAL !
no one expectes to meet a girl claiming, she’s a girlfriend of infamous setter from karasuno, a bag full of containers with cinnamon rolls, and strawberries.

“what?” a bald boy inquired, his eyes scanning your posture with a terrifying smirk on his face. he leaned his back onto the doorframe, letting out a chuckle. “kageyama, someone who claims to be your girlfriend is here!”
you knitted your eyebrows together upon hearing his laughter, gripping the bag’s handle tighter, waiting for the dark-haired boy to show up at the entrance to the gymnasium. you’ve spent the entire of last night trying to master your recipe of cinammon rolls, so you could give them later to tobio as a small gift.
you two were still in that phase of your relationship, when you both needed the reassurance, as if it seemed impossible for any of you to have a significant other. and to be honest — you loved showering your boyfriend with little presents, that — you truly wished — would look at them later, in his twenties maybe, and remember you well.
you wished you could capture the moment, when he noticed you standing outside, a spark lit up in his eyes as you placed a peck on his cheeks, before it tinted pinkish. “y/n- hey, what you’re doing here? i thought you had the club meeting.” you beamed at the sound of your name in his mouth, shrugging prior.
“it was rescheduled, you know.” you tilted your head to the side, feeling how fluffy your knees are getting with each second he looked at you so intensely. “and you said you forgot your lunch, so i brought you something i wanted to give you later.” you handed him the bag.
“cinnamon rolls?” he looked down, biting back a smile prior to averting his gaze to you, heart fireworks blew up in his eyes. “gosh, i love you. thank you so much.” before you could react to the confession, he kissed you, — which you didn’t expect at all, since his teammates were around — placing a hand on the back of your neck.
“l/n-san!” a certain redhead called out from the depths of the hall. “you should definitely go out with us after the practice! we were supposed to get some rice cakes and onigiris at ukai’s.” hinata jumped right next to you, making your boyfriend pull away awkwardly.
“i’ll agree with the shrimp, there should be at least three intelligents there or we all get mad.” a boy from your homeroom spoke out, taking a place next to the bald guy. “you should come with us, really.” tadashi, another boy from your class, chimed in.
“i mean, i don’t wanna interrupt—” you began, looking at the dark-haired boy. “it’s okay baby, you should go, if you want and have enough time, of course.” he muttered so quietly, you were the only one able to hear him, at least you thought so.
he got so incredibly handsome over the year that keeping your eyes off him was even harder than at the beginning. his hair a little longer than usual, with his amazing hairstyling skills (you had to teach him how to style his hair properly), the smile he would always send you, whenever you caught eye contact, got even more… ethereal.
before you could even realize, you ended up at your house (since it was the closest to ukai’s store), watching horror on the couch. tobio’s hands clutching you in a hug, nishinoya, and tanaka hugging each other eagerly, hinata sat on the carpet, laughing out loud whenever yamaguchi, narita and kinoshita flinched. the others just simply laughed along with shoyo.
“you should try some of the pastries and cinnamon rolls i’ve made for tobi.” you smiled, looking at the boys who reciprocated your smile. “they’re delicious.” tobio commented, making himself comfortable on the couch. “shut up, they’re decent, not poisoned or anything, but decent.”
“you guys shouldn’t really listen to her, mrs. l/n has a bakery, and she thinks that her baking isn’t as good as her mom’s.” he tilted his head to the side, sending you the most precious smile you’ve ever seen.
you loved how confident he grew to be, you adored his outgoing self, how openly he acted around his close friends. you like to believe you were one of the main reasons for his change, since you really liked to drag him with you to some family events, knowing god damn well that there would be lots of people your age.
“your mom has a bakery? we have to go there sometime!” hinata exclaimed happily, turning his head towards you prior to snatching a warm cinammon roll from the plate.
“god, l/n.” tsukishima looked at you, his eyes growing wider. “they are delicious.”
when the movie marathon finally came to an end, you plopped on the seat closest to your boyfriend, who immediately showered you with kisses. “gosh, you don’t even know how much i love you, y/n/n.”

Good mood
Pairing: Oikawa x Male Reader Word count: ~ 2 600 Genre: Fluff / Enemies to lovers if you look really hard Summary: Oikawa meets Seijoh's former ace.
A/n: ty @jxtblacksoc00l for the support
Tumblr media
“Hi, hi, sorry!” Oikawa chuckled a little as he scratched the back of his head, expecting the chorus of complaints from the rest of the team about him being late once again, but it never came. He furrowed his eyebrows whilst dropping his bag by the side. Where was Iwa-chan, anyway?
“Oikawa-san!” Lev smiled. “You’re late again!”
“Heh,” Oikawa breathed, tilting his head, “had a... problem.” He twisted his mouth a little at the unusual amount of girls on his way right when he wasn’t in the best of moods.
Lev raised his eyebrows lightly, but his face softened. “Well, I believe you still didn’t lose the best of it. (Y/n)-san just arrived!” He motioned to behind him, and right behind the back line, a guy stood holding a ball up while his other hand simulated and moved around explaining the type of serve he explained to... Iwaizumi. So that’s why Oikawa wasn’t being spammed with a thousand messages asking his whereabouts nor received a ball on his head when he stepped in the court.
“Who...” He mumbled, narrowing his eyes, but Lev’s—and even his—attention was on (y/n)’s serve. It was a lot like Oikawa’s, at first, but the strength it contained was a lot greater. Cheers coming from his teammates filled the court right after the deafening sound of the ball hitting the ground. They all stood there, watching what was going on instead of having all those balls that littered around in actual action. Even Irihata laughed, with his arms crossed over his chest.
“What are they feeding you there, boy?” Irihata patted (y/n)’s back.
(Y/n) laughed, shaking his head and took a step aside at the moment he noticed Iwaizumi getting ready to try the same serve. The ball didn’t hit the ground with the same force as (y/n)’s, but Oikawa could see a difference there. (Y/n) commemorated, clapping before high-fiving with Iwaizumi.
“Hiya!” Irihata grinned. “I’d like them to see you in a match! C’mon, everyone! Usual team A and team B formation! (Y/n) is going for serving, team B!” He clapped his hands, immediately receiving a ‘yes’ in unison from all the players while they started moving. “We just need—”
“Hi!” Oikawa waved with a smile.
“Huh— Oikawa!” Irihata clicked his tongue. “You better not get late like this for the serious matches, you listening?”
“Yes!~” His face remained the same as he walked away, telling his teammates they’d start with the first rotation. He stretched quietly, observing Iwaizumi and (y/n) decide who was going to start with the ball—Iwaizumi tossed him the ball, having Oikawa smile on his way to behind the back line.
The other coach—Mizoguchi—blew the whistle once everyone was in their right positions and, after he did it a second time, Oikawa bent his knees lightly, a smile forming across his face as he spun the ball between his hands before throwing it in the air. Right under his infallible aim, (y/n) received it with a firm dig.
Oikawa wouldn't admit it, but he wasn't really expecting this. The game was tight. Not like the usual when they play against each other, but something he could compare to playing against Shiratorizawa. It wasn't enough to use all of his weapons—he had to be constantly aware of his opponents and his own team, every millimeter they moved. And yet...
The sharp sound of the whistle filled the court again while the coach extended his arm to team B. Oikawa's eyes went from him to the board, twisting his mouth at the A 18 – 20 B displayed on it.
"Whatever," he mumbled as he followed the rotation.
"You must be Oikawa."
He looked up from the board to see (y/n) through the net, smiling—his eyes roamed over Oikawa from head to foot.
"Yes..." Oikawa narrowed his eyes with a pout. "And you?"
"Oh, right, you weren't here when I arrived and introduced myself. Irihata-san said you're always late." His lips parted into a grin, in a tone that Oikawa wasn’t quite fond of—it made his cheeks heat up, hence he had to look away for a moment, taking a deep breath.
"Where are you from, anyways? Nekoma?"
(Y/n) had a proud glint in his eyes. "Yonan university."
Oikawa's eyes widened. "Yonan?" He could remember some great sport highlights coming from there, including the cycling club that went to the nationals and a rising volleyball potential.
"I remember watching Seijoh against Karasuno last month," (y/n) said, "then I immediately needed to contact Irihata-san."
"You're saying I caught your attention?" Oikawa blinked, placing his hands on his hips as he threw his nose in the air. "You see, I—"
(Y/n) stepped back at the same time Oikawa's head lunged forward harshly.
"Iwaizumi!" Oikawa shouted, staring at the owner of the 'serve', but all the other did was to stare back coldly. Mizoguchi blew the whistle again, arm extended towards team B. "What do you think you're doing to waste a point like this?"
(Y/n) laughed, making sure Oikawa met his gaze before he moved on. Fuck. Oikawa opened and closed his mouth a couple of times, but fell silent. Whatever he had to say, it wasn’t the right time nor place. He had to put his mind into the game; he could talk to (y/n) later, maybe even ask for his number... Fuck, it was all about that, right? After all, he was in college already and could work as a good contact to help him into opportunities, help him train. It was all of it that made him feel like he needed to have (y/n)'s attention on him the whole time, right?
Oikawa swallowed dryly as he watched (y/n) talk with Hanamaki, making a few hand gestures. The sharp sound of the whistle put ground under his feet again and he pursed his lips. The game. Focus on the game.
-🏐-
A 35 – 33 B
Oikawa’s hands rested on his knees, his calves and upper arms aching a little more than normal. He ran a hand through his hair to get the strands of hair unstuck from his sweaty forehead, breathlessly thanking the manager for the towel they reached out to him.
Now, (y/n) would want to come talk to him, for sure. He had contacted Irihata because he liked his game, right? It was because he was interested in him, he could help him improve and— Wow, (y/n) interested in Oikawa... fuck, fuck, fuck.
Still, he just stood there with Iwaizumi again. Whatever he was explaining, he needed to move his hands around constantly—sometimes Oikawa could identify he was acting as if holding a ball. Was Iwaizumi really even paying attention? His knowledge would have much more use with Oikawa, for sure.
(Y/n) smiled, pride swelling in his chest at how Iwaizumi immediately started practicing what he had explained and it seemed like it wouldn’t take long until he mastered a new technique. His eyes wandered around the court—the team members continued their activities, practicing and eventually looking over at him. All of them were into something. All of them but Oikawa. He almost laughed at the sad lump in the corner of the court. Oikawa didn't seem to be that dramatic at first sight—couldn't even notice (y/n) approaching.
"You alright there?"
"Huh?" Oikawa's eyes widened at the moment he recognized the other, and immediately put himself up on his feet. "Hi—" He clicked his tongue. The towel that hung on his head fell on his face with the sudden motion, leaving him in a cursing mess as he removed it to place it around his neck instead. His cheeks were probably red, but he didn’t have anywhere to run away now, so he just sighed. "Um, yes, I'm fine! Just a little..." He tried to play it off, smiling, with a hand on his hip.
(Y/n) narrowed his eyes. "Riiight..."
"Did you study here, (y/n)-san?"
"Yes, ‘graduated two years ago! Irihata-san used to be my coach as well," he answered, looking around the court with nostalgia heaving in his chest. "But must I say, he is doing a good job with you!" His eyes met Oikawa's with a smile. "I didn't expect you to give me so much work! That was a nice match! You got a lot to explore there." He punched Oikawa's shoulder playfully, having the other blush.
"You think so?" Oikawa hummed, a hand over the place he had been punched, but soon turned his expression into the best smug one he could, with his eyes on the ground and a shaky smile. "Well, yeah, you're not wrong!"
"Well, you—"
Oikawa cleaned his throat, pointing at (y/n). "Would you like my email? My phone number? We need to get used to playing with each other so we don't lose any time when I get to Yonan."
(Y/n) scoffed and stared at Oikawa long enough to make his attitude falter before he finally pulled out his phone.
-🏐-🏐–
"(Y/n)-san!" Hinata's voice echoed through the court among the sound of balls hitting against the ground for the warm up, making Oikawa want to curl up, but... (y/n)?
They had been texting each other for quite a while now, even if (y/n) always answered him either early in the morning or late at night nor answered every single message. It was a little annoying, but it still made his day when he spotted the little compliments and little hearts among the messages. Still, the thought of talking with (y/n) in person after all of that had a knot in his throat. Did he catch on to Oikawa's attempts to flirt? He never said anything about it through texts; maybe he preferred to tell Oikawa in person that he should stop.
"Tooru! Set, come on!" Iwaizumi clapped his hands in an attempt to get his attention.
"Iwa-chan!" Oikawa whined, pouting as he nodded towards (y/n)'s direction, holding the ball close to his chest.
Iwaizumi huffed. "He will come talk to you, don't worry. I'll kick his ass if he does anything wrong. For now, just do your job!"
"You're so evil to me! You know I'm in such an emotional state and you keep pushing!" His bottom lip trembled, but it was a matter of time until Iwaizumi threw a spare ball at him.
Focusing wasn't that easy, not while he could hear (y/n) talking with Ukai, Hinata and Suga in an enthusiasm that was still strange to Oikawa.
"Oops!~" Oikawa clicked his tongue, ignoring the glare Iwaizumi shot at him. "Sorry, Iwa-chan, mistakes happen!" He shrugged and left behind a complaining Iwaizumi so he could go after the ball.
"Ohh, hi!" (Y/n) grinned at the sight of Oikawa approaching him—he had in hands the ball that had been accidentally thrown his way. "I was just going to talk with you after finishing here!"
Hinata raised his eyebrows, mouth half open. "You know each other, (y/n)-chan?"
(Y/n) hummed with a nod, tossing the ball back to Oikawa.
"He went to Seijoh! No wonder he'd want to know how the current team is doing." Ukai crossed his arms, adjusting his stance once Aoba's player took a place next to them, almost a contrast to Suga's modest greeting.
"Needed to know if my legacy is being taken seriously!" (Y/n) stared at Oikawa with a smile tugging on his lips.
Oikawa rolled his eyes, mirroring the grin as he leaned over to (y/n) to throw an arm around his shoulders, letting the ball fall to the ground. "You should be worried about it being replaced, actually."
Ukai laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah, good luck!"
Whatever they said, Oikawa only had eyes for (y/n). The older one had his arms crossed over his chest as he eyed Oikawa from close, pulling him out of his trance by bumping their foreheads together.
"Stop talking shit."
Rolling his eyes, Oikawa was about to speak up when Hinata cutting in had him actually huffing.
"(Y/n)-chan, please don't fight!"
(Y/n) shook his head and patted Oikawa's back as he moved away from him. "As if I would lose," he chuckled, having fun with the glares he received in response. "Anyways, I'll be back later. Why don’t you come with me to grab something to drink, hm?" He placed his hands on Oikawa's shoulders to push him lightly, waving at the others as they walked away.
"What are you doing here, again, hm?" Oikawa asked as they left the court, met with the silence of the outside that was only interrupted by the birds occasionally chirping with the soft sound of the wind through the leaves of the nearby trees. Not many people were out and around during the week of recess, which thankfully granted them a lot of peace and space for the training matches. "Did you miss me?"
A smile traced (y/n)'s face, his eyes lingering over Oikawa as he walked over to the vending machine, standing in front of it with his hands on his hips. "What do you want, hm?"
"Uh— Me?" Oikawa hummed, moving to next to him, and pointed to one of the drinks behind the glass. He was about to mention he didn't have any money when the other just paid for everything, handing Oikawa his drink. "You didn't answer my question."
(Y/n) didn't react at first, instead opening his drink to take a sip of it, almost making Oikawa question if he had heard him in the first place. "Well, I did want to see you again, does this count?"
A soft red tone took over Oikawa's cheeks—he hummed in an exaggerated, thoughtful manner. "Well, of course! I'm sure having me in your mind was extremely tiring. Must have taken away some of your sleep." His answer earned him a chuckle he couldn't quite read.
"I'm not the one who answers the other in less than a few seconds even when the messages are sent at 3 in the morning."
Oikawa couldn't help but pout at (y/n)'s words. "Why are you so mean, (y/n)-san?" He whined.
"Ah, c'mon," (y/n) chuckled, throwing an arm around Oikawa again, "'m just fucking with you."
At first, Oikawa's intention was to bump their foreheads together like (y/n) had done, but it happened with less force than expected and just had him resting his forehead against (y/n)'s instead. His breath hitched as he noticed what he had done, but he preferred to remain silent. (Y/n)'s breathing fanned over his face, warmth irradiating from him.
"Who would say someone that smug would turn out to get flustered so easily?" (Y/n) raised his eyebrows lightly. His hand slowly dropped from Oikawa's shoulder to his waist to pull him a little closer—Oikawa blushed, placing a hand on his chest, though he ended up unconsciously holding tightly onto it, knuckles going white with the grip on the part of the shirt he had wrapped his fingers around.
Oikawa could barely think about anything properly. "I— Please—" He received a hum in response before (y/n)'s lips pressed against his softly; it took Oikawa a little to react, hence (y/n) was already pulling away when he locked their lips properly, letting the tension slowly slip away. His fingers instead met (y/n)’s neck as he allowed the other to deepen the kiss.
The sudden sound of steps had Oikawa pulling away immediately, cheeks deep red, and opening his drink with an awkward cough. Kuroo raised an eyebrow at them on his way to the vending machine, mostly questioning (y/n)’s laughter.
“Good mood, (y/n)?” He hummed, eyes narrowed at the products lined behind the glass.
(Y/n)’s lips pursed into a smile. “You could say that.”

YANDERE KAGEYAMA TOBIO HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
You might be a classmate of Kageyama or a fan of his or his classmate when he was a kid or whatever. But SOMETHING about you will CERTIANLY draw you towards him. You might be gentle and kind or fierce and strong and loyal, either way, he still finds you interesting and his eyes will be on you and aren't gonna move anytime soon, THAT'S for sure
Milk boy will try to be your friend and try inserting himself into your life
He is a silent and observing yandere and chooses to show his affection and love through actions rather than words since actions speak louder than words, right?
Possessive ASF and I mean that LITERALLY! He keeps notes and tabs on whatever you do, be it you going downtown to that new roller rink that opened, your favorite store to shop, your favorite cafe and he even keeps tabs on your friends whom he hates and loathes since he always thinks they're trying to get closer to you. If anyone from your friend group tries getting closer to you, he'll start plucking them like little weeds? How? By 'accidentally' spraining their ankle or fracturing their arm and NO, he doesn't give a DAMN if it's a guy or a girl, in the end, they're just trying to take your for themselves
He can be controlling at times, forcing you to eat your food when you're busy doing something else or insisting on walking you home or him dragging you to his volleyball practices and stuff like that
He isn't called 'The King' for nothing. When he's determined to make you his, he'll keep on trying till time ends
At some point, you'll notice a shadow around your presence when you walk these days and when you turn around, you won't see anyone and you'll just shrug and continue on your way. In case you're wondering what the heck that was, oh, it was just Kageyama stalking you so don't worry. He's just making sure you're doing all right and you're safe and he's like your personal bodyguard/ shadow from far. This man is an accomplished stalker no doubt about that. Not to mention that he's also EXTREMELY overprotective of you now. And if he wasn't clingy before, he certainly is now
Will he kidnap you? Well, it depends on the situation you guys are in. If he manages to find a way into your heart, well and good. If you're in a relationship with him, he'll slowly start to get more.... dominating and possessive and a bit controlling as well, telling you who you can hang out with and who is bad for you and all that. He'll try twisting your mind, convincing you what he's doing for you is all for your best interest and well being and that's all he wants. If you're being stubborn or adamant about something, he'll gently but firmly cup your cheek and tell you that he only wants what's best for you and he just wants to keep you safe and he'll plead and cajole you into listening to him and eventually, you'll just cave in. He KNOWS how to wrap you around his little finger. Slowly, he'll start to isolate you from your friends and start distancing you from the outside world and by the time you realize what's happening, it's going to be too late. If you try leaving him, he knows EXACTLY how to get you back since he can read your every move like an open book
If you start fighting back, he'll just feel a mixture of sadness and anger inside him. But, mostly anger because he's doing so much for you and you're just not willing to cooperate and sad because he really doesn't want to fight with you
He will sometimes take you out but ONLY if you hold his hand and not talk to anyone outside. And if anyone askes about the 2 of you, Kageyama will say that he's in a relationship with you and will ask that person to get lost
He likes having you lie down on him as he pats your head gently. He might not look like the person who likes cuddles, but he enjoys them with you and he likes your cute little hands as well and takes his time admiring how soft and small and gentle they are
The more you reject and fight him, the more angry and intense he'll get. He'll literally be a beast if you keep driving him over the edge. He'll let your bad behavior slide for the first few months or so since he'll get how lost and lonely you're feeling but you have him now, you don't need any other person in your life. If you're REALLY feeling alone, he'll give you kids and have a family with you so you won't be able to leave him now and you're permanently bound to him for life
His children would most likely be whacked out crazy psychopathic lunatic nutjobs like him and he'll help his kids in achieving the person of their dreams and will make sure to teach them all about courting a person. Btw, your kids have a platonic yandere love towards you and are VERY VERY overprotective of you, EXACTLY like their dad. Anyone tries hitting on you while you go out, they'll just kick 'em in where the sun doesn't shine and will ask dear old dad to finish the job by killing them
When it comes to rivals/ enemies, Kageyama will want things done quickly, fast and as soon as possible so he can get back to you. He also knows how to get rid of any evidence of murder and will make sure not to leave any incriminating evidence behind whatsoever
If you try escaping, punishments usually include locking you up in a room for a couple of hours, that's all. And maybe restrict your usage of your favorite things but once you say sorry to him and apologize, he'll just say, "I hope you remember your lesson'' and will pull you onto his lap and cuddle you. If you're squirming and trying to get away from him, he'll just be like "Be quiet and stop squirming'' and nuzzle his face into your neck leaving your face a bright crimson red
If you managed to escape from him or if someone were to take you away, he'd be EXACTLY like a storm. Too many emotions and feelings of his would come into play. He'd be feeling a mixture of anger, sadness, devastation and pain and he'll vow to find that person who took you and END them once and for all before you can even call it a day for even DARING to think about you. Will get you back no matter what

running buddies
ushijima, iwai, kageyama, bokuto, hinata, and oikawa x gn!reader
notes - ngl, this is really self indulgent bc i always thought like, how come readers are never working out with them? since im a runner, i wanted to write something where i can represent my athletic readers and have the reader actually participate in the activities.. ykwim 😭
tw! none so far. just.. running 💀 lowkey boring. whoops
youre not exactly an early bird, but once you wake up, the adrenaline starts pumping and youre no longer dreading the run. waking up is hard, but once you start running and feeling it in your veins, you’re unstoppable. which is why youre compatible with him! he like to wake up early and go on his runs, and you enjoy the feeling of running. the run just clears your mind and gives you time to enjoy the scenery while everyone else is still asleep. giving you time to appreciate your surroundings and explore new areas. a bonus, catching up on podcasts (totally not canon). and while youre running, your mind is distracted by the man running beside you. he always motivates you to keep going and push yourself. not only has he improved your stamina, but your overall athleticism. getting together with him was a life changer, not only did he make you happier, your life and everything changed for the better. youre healthier, much brighter and just overall happier. but one thing, running is also just really calming and intimate in a way where nothing else can compare.
totally not a canon event bc i started doing my morning runs again my has my life been better. i dread the thought of actually running, but once i start running, i love the feeling. so this is just something i thought of while on a run 😭

Sleep - Kageyama Tobio
Tumblr media
AU: Regular
Tags/ Warnings: GN! Reader, ooc Kags (?), more like a drabble than a full story
Word Count: 1.3k
Tumblr media
You'd wake up in the morning and only feel the lingering warmth of Kageyama in your bed. Indents in the pillows and crumpled-up sheets were your only evidence that he actually came back from his practises. He was careful not to wake you up, but sometimes you wished he did. Sometimes, the nights where he accidentally nudged you or pulled too much of the blanket were the only time you saw him.
You knew his drive, passion, and love, maybe more than he did, so you understood why he got up earlier than you and why he was home after you were already asleep or on the brink of sleep that you’d only exchange a few words before he told you to rest. You had long days too, and even though you tried to stay up, even if you found it easy to stay up late before, the tiredness of the day would get to you, and you’d fall asleep unintentionally before midnight.
Somedays were better than others. You’d had lunch and dinner dates and special occasions that he took off. Other days you wouldn’t see him at all, and you had a creeping suspicion that today would be one of those days.
It didn’t even bother you that much, you liked having time to yourself and making your own schedules that didn’t necessarily have to fit Kageyama’s, but today you felt it — or rather, you felt nothing except for the lingering warmth and the indents in the bed that made you feel alone.
You’ve lived by yourself before. Technically, you lived by yourself now; this entire week has been a test trial since Kageyama suggested moving in together. You knew that he had late nights and early mornings — you also had late nights and early mornings — but you were starting to feel his absence. You still had your lunch and dinner dates, breaks between his practices, both mandatory and voluntary, and your own schedules, but you expected him to actually be at home.
When you were in your own apartment, it was different. You expected and were comfortable being alone, and knowing that you and Kageyama were together was enough to ease your mind into a nice relationship.
You woke up alone like you usually did. You went to sleep alone like you usually did. But now, the emptiness dawned on you and you felt more were glorified roommates rather than anything else.
Tumblr media
Kageyama looked forward to seeing you today. You were already sleeping by the time he stopped practicing and he promised one of his teammates that he would train with them more in the morning. He missed you. Yes, he slept beside you that night but he hasn’t heard you talk or laugh since…he couldn’t remember when and that was a bad sign to him.
The adrenaline of the practice ran through his blood, and the rush of the final games of the season settled in his bones. Volleyball was his passion, but you were the rest of his life. He was never good at expressing it, but he hoped you knew because he felt like you knew everything.
Which is why when Kageyama saw you pacing outside of the entrance of the gym with your arms crossed so that you could pick at the skin of your forearm, a rush of panic filled him. What could have happened from the time he woke up to lunchtime?
His hand clutched together on the strap of his bag.
“Hey,” he said.
You paused at his voice. “Hi,” you said. You were shifting your weight from one leg to the other, which told Kageyama that you’d still be pacing if he didn’t grab your attention.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“What time are you going to be back tonight?”
Kageyama furrowed his eyebrows. “Probably late. We’re figuring out a new play since we got a new member. We want to get the timing right before our final games.”
You nodded. “I’m going to sleep at my place today, then.”
“Why? Is there something wrong? You know you can just move things around however you like it.”
You bit the inside of your cheek. Kageyama saw you beginning to pick at your fingernails. He stepped forward and encased his hands over yours; they were cold.
“I’m alone,” you whispered. In a stronger voice, with no anger and lingering sadness, you said, “I wake up alone and go to sleep alone. You’re never there, so why am I living at your home, trying to see if we can live together when you’re not there?”
“I—” He never wanted you to feel alone. He felt horrible that he didn’t see it sooner. Kageyama replayed the past days in his mind, and you were right. He thought that things would stay the same; his days didn’t change much, and he got the chance to come home every day to you.
After the moment of his hesitation, you continued, “I can’t even blame you because I know you want to train and that your games are coming up; I want you to train and become better. I just can’t sleep in your apartment again alone.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?” you sounded out.
Kageyama nodded, more sure. “Yes. I’m sorry that I’m not there, I want to be, and I think I can be, just not right now. This is why we're trying, and we can try again another time when things have quieted down. I don’t want to lie to you. I already promised that I’d help my team, and that means being at home less, but I don’t want you to feel alone. If you're more comfortable at your apartment, then go there for now.”
“We’re okay?”
“We’re fantastic.”
You smiled. The tension relaxed from your shoulders, and you held his hand as fiercely as he held yours.
“But,” he said. “I have grown used to sleeping beside you, even if you don’t know I’m there. Can I go to your place instead?”
“Only if you wake me up when you come in.”
“You want me to wake you up?”
“Yes.”
Kageyama made a sour face. “Are you going to yell at me if you do?”
“Nope.”
He sighed. “Whatever you want.”
Tumblr media
You had drifted in your own bed. All of the lights were still on and the warm water that you had brought up to your nightstand was slowly cooling down without having a sip taken from it.  You didn’t hear the keys fitting in the door or the gentle way Kageyama had pulled the door closed and taken off his shoes.
Your room was his first stop. You were curled into a ball near your side of the bed with your eyes closed and the steady rise and fall of your chest.
He hated to do it, but he crouched down beside you and placed a hand on your arm, shaking it carefully. “I’m back.”
You didn’t move. He sighed and shook a little harder. “Please wake up. I don’t want to wake you up, but you asked for this.”
Your eyes cracked open. “Hey.”
“I’m back,” he repeated, smiling. He didn’t like it, but maybe he needed to wake you up too. Just for a moment to hear your voice.
“I see that,” you mumbled. “Thanks for waking me up. Now, go away so I can sleep again.”
Kageyama scoffed. “You asked me to do it.”
He kissed your forehead and stood up. He rubbed his shoulder and headed towards the bathroom to shower before sleeping.
“Tobio?”
He turned. “Yes.”
“Come to bed quickly.”
Kageyama doubled back and kissed you on the forehead again. “Whatever you want.”

Grabbing his shirt and pulling him to your eye level, seeing his pretty eyelashes flutter in confusion before his eyes go wide in realization. Your lips a hair's-width away from brushing against his own as his eyes become half lidded, but just as he made the move to kiss you, you move your head to the side and whisper in his ear, "You're so cute."
He didn't talk to you for thirty minutes as he sat down to recover from embarrassment.
For characters like: Izuku Midoriya, Hinata Shoyo, Aether, Tamaki Amajiki, and Tobio Kageyama

Making him mine - Sawamura Daichi
I never felt sorry for her. Though, it's also true that if it wasn't for her, I would've never noticed him.
It wasn't difficult to find out that our captain had a crush on him. Michimiya senpai would deliberately go to the vending machine far away from our girl's gym just so she could catch a glimpse of him practising. I wondered what was so great about this guy that he had all her attention. What was so great about the captain of the boys volleyball team - Sawamura Daichi. So I went to one of their matches. I tagged along with our own girls when the Karasuno boys team had their finals against that powerhouse, Shiratorizawa. I remember being impressed that they made it. But of course, that wasn't the only reason I got interested.
What caught my attention about him was his very aura and confidence, equipped with the skill to back it up. Throughout the match, I was entranced by the clear faith he had on his team and his own abilities. He stood behind the team, supporting them, not just literally with his saves, but also mentally. I could tell it was because he was there on the court, that order was established and everyone could do their best.
It was after I saw this side of him that I wondered to myself, what would it be like if I had someone like that in my life? That was when I knew, that Sawamura Daichi was someone I wanted. I wanted him to be mine. I didn't care that our captain liked him. She never did anything about her feelings. It wasn't like I was stealing him from her when he never belonged to her.
After that day of the match, I made my decision to win his heart.
Everyday I'd go to the boys' gym and "volunteer" to help out with small chores. Our own volleyball practise never lasted as long as the boys' anyway. Their managers didn't mind, in fact, we got along well and they quickly found out why I was there, since I wasn't exactly trying to hide it, I was very obvious with my advances. When they had time to cool down, I'd go Daichi and offer him a towel and water bottle, even though I didn't need to. I always made sure our fingers touched whenever I gave them. I'd ask him for tips about how to remain calm at court. I'd talk about anything that would gain an interest from him. Everyone knew he was the only one getting my attention like this, everyone but him.
For some reason, he didn't seem to notice my feelings until much later. My actions may have started small at first, but they gradually increased with time. I started surprising him by coming towards him and wiping down his face myself. I'd ask him to help me with my returns and deliberately suck at it until he accepts my suggestion to teach me by holding me from behind. I'd touch his arms and go "wow~ they're so hard!". Ofcourse, my efforts persisted outside the gym. I was in the year below him, so it was hard to see him at school but I tried increasing our interactions. During break, PE, or changing classrooms, whenever I saw him, I'd go to greet him and chat a little bit. If we didn't have enough time to talk, then I'd leave with a wave. Whenever they had practise matches outside school, I'd come along with them and always sit next to him. His best friends already knew how I felt about him so they were more than happy to save me the seat next to him. I'd rest my head on his shoulder, even if my eyes were open and he knew I wasn't sleeping. Eventually, I started purposely staying back late until their practise ended, and this naturally led him to offer walking me home, like I knew he would. The first few times, I didn't try anything. I closed the gap between our bodies with every passing day.
One evening, I held his hand in mine. He didn't resist. We stopped walking before we reached the gates to my house, and I stood in front of him, holding his hand, and asked "Senpai...how do you feel about me?". His face was red, even in the dark, and I knew it was time to make my final move. I stepped closer to him and softly asked "can I kiss you?"
After a few very long seconds, he answered my question by leaning down and closing the gap between us. That night, he finally became mine.

Haikyuu: Oikawa Toru x Reader MANEATER
POV: Reader who knows her self worth, doesn't believe in competition and is becoming a high value women. Watching everyone bow around her ;)
Tumblr media
Aoba Johsai High the place to be or so you thought, apart from the ridiculously good boys volleyball team the school itself was pretty average.
The thing that definitely annoyed you the most is the Toruu Cult groups!! The endless squealing, uwu voices and don't even get started on the fan pages and utter desperation that oozed out of these girls. But all those girls were nothing compared to the Devil herself.
Tumblr media
Emi Yamamoto (girl with the bowl cut PS: made up name!) Not only did her and Fumiko join The Seijoh's Girls Volleyball team but they also used it as a means to try to get closer to The King himself.
You'd occasionally seen him in class from time to time. He looks pretty bored and flustered off the court depending on his mood. He never really took notice of you cause of all the cultists swarming to him.
Present time:
You were so annoyed being given detention for not wearing the right coloured socks. School can be so petty sometimes. You huffed finally grabbing your books and started heading towards you locker all the way on the other side of the school.
The school was so quite having all the other students left. You eventually reach your locker at the end of the hall the sun rays still shinny in through the glass door. If they day couldn't get any worse your lock got jammed. "Clink, Clang Clak" you were getting frustrated the noise catching someones attention. You were too busy to hear foot steps or notice someone standing behind you.
Oikawa: "Well aren't you just gorgeous, Ive never seen you around before" he say with a confident smirk.
Y/N: "Sorry I'm not interested in being apart of any of your fan clubs" You still continued rattling the lock around.
Oikawa: "Wow someones fiesty, Im sure nothing like a couple of photos with me wont fix." He moves placing his forearm up against the lockers next to you slinging his arm over his head. Oikawa was very amused and very curious to get a closer look at you.
Y/N: "Im sorry my lock is jammed, if you could help me fix it that would be more than enough." You let go of the lock tucking your hair around your ears out of your face. Sneaking a glance at Oikawa. You admit he was tall, chocolate, sweet and very handsome. Definitely hasn't met he match yet, you knew from then on school was going to plenty fun.
Oikawa: "Well of course I can help you out with that, anything for you" He winks his eyes lingering before fiddling a little and un-jamming the lock, taking it off for you.
Y/N: "Thanks....Can I have my lock back?" You'd finish putting your books away.
Oikawa: " If you can get it, sure you can have it back" He smirks holding it up high way above your head.
Y/N: " Im not doing this." You open your locker grabbing a pencil and jamming it through the hole making some what of a temporary lock. "Listen Oikawa Im going home you can keep the lock" you stuff your bag with homework turn around and start making a b line towards the locker room exit.
Oikawa: He quickly catches up with you grabbing your wrist gently spinning you around to face him bringing the both of you a lot closer. "It is getting late, you're not a bag girl are you? Acting all mysterious, out late and trying to run away from me" He towers over you with a big smirk as he stared into your eyes.
Y/N: You look down smirking "Well what do you want me to be" you say looking up at him with a very seductive gaze. He looked a bit shocked. You took the chance to free yourself from his grip and start quickly going to the exit. "Thanks Oikawa-chan loved the chat" you chirped giggling a little. You had him exactly where you want him now.
Oikawa: He watch as your figure slowly faded, sure there were plenty pretty girls at Aoba Joshai but you were different. Heavenly, you were absolutely breath taking. Oikawa snapped out of his trans smirking "This will be fun" he chuckles. "Well better get back to training before Iwaizumi growls at me"
Little did Oikawa and Y/N know Emi and Fumiko were watching scheming on what they should do. They could feel the heat in their cheeky and the envy already consuming them. The tension between everyone was getting thick!
Part 2 coming soon: Now the stage is set things are gonna get hot and spicy, might consider Oikawa x reader x kageyama!!! Bring in a love triangle ooooo. Will leave link when post is out or feel free to like and follow for more content love you all xoxo
