What in the world did Harley Quinn Romances make me read here though.
When they all gathered around the table and it was revealed to be a gathering of Arthur’s exes, I genuinely had a brief moment of a heart attack, at a huge Arthur/Dinah shipper, because Dinah was sitting at that table.
And then this is it. These two pages. Dinah cries. Arthur sees her cry, immediately humps off... and... uh... and then he’s portrayed like some kind of playboy who let her hanging? This even makes it look like she was the one who was trying to run after him (which, as a shipper, I would appreciate).
But this honestly just does Arthur so fucking dirty? Lori’s story, having him be hung up on Dolphin, is at least legit. But this is just a cringe OoC take on Arthur?
You got my hopes up and then you crushed them badly. Though don’t think I won’t be clutching that “Dinah had her hopes up” close to my heart for a long, long time to come, DC.

the premise : u apply lipgloss on felix because ofc he suits glossy lips except it takes an emotional turn???? because felix is perfect sorry. this is fluffyyyy and the sanest reaction to this man being ur bf (and these pics. these pics....)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“lixie, stay still,” you giggle, body nestled between felix’s legs. He's leaning against the bathroom counter, hands propped on the sleek ebony marble as you apply a shimmering lip gloss to his lips.
“but don't you wanna know what changbin said to me?”
“of course i wanna know what creative pickup line he used on you today. of course i do, baby,” you smile and he rolls his eyes at the sarcasm dripping from your tone, his tongue poking against his cheek before gliding in (fake) annoyance over his lips.
“but…” he muses, tilting his head to the side, his hands finding your waist once again (they've been away for two minutes too long).
“but when your mouth moves i can't technically apply lipgloss to it.”
“maybe you're just a bad make-up artist,” he teases, before quickly planting a kiss on your temple. “kidding baby. you're the very best at everything you do.”
“you're actually incapable of being mean,” you laugh heartily, your thumb swiping across his chiseled jaw.
“i am very much capable of being mean,” he pouts, his eyes widening slightly, golden light spilling into his pupils— it refracts into an arrow delving straight into your heart.
“you can't say this in the softest voice and expect me to agree.”
“i am very much capable of being mean,” he repeats, only this time his timber is many many octaves lower. his voice reverberates straight through your stomach, a deep melody orchestrating the untamed butterflies in your stomach.
“this is the equivalent of a kitten throwing a punch to me,” you pull his face closer, and he shakes his head, mouth shut tightly as you reapply the glitter infused gloss on his lips, going delicately over his cupid's bow. his eyes are boring onto you, yet you don't shy away from his gaze. it is a kind one— like a blanket knitted with love thrown over your body.
“done,” you whisper, hands trailing up to his hair, blonde silky locks akin to threads of sunlight. you think he must be favored by the stars— how they stored the sun inside every component of his being for him to keep safe.
“you have the prettiest lips,” your voice is suddenly hoarse, thumb grazing slightly over his lips, ones shaped like a heart— akin to the one freckle he has right underneath his eye.
it wasn't enough for him to have the kindest soul, no, love needed to be etched onto his skin too.
“felix,” you rasp out his name.
he catches your tears before you sense them falling, swiping his thumbs delicately on your cheek. “angel?”
“you're an idiot.”
“am i?” he brings you to his chest swiftly, your nose buried in the orange blossoms and sea notes of his skin— your home, the one you'd recognize in blindness, in despair, in safety, in love.
“i wanted to apply this lipgloss on you because shimmer would suit your angelic lips and then we'd make out. but you just had to be so beautiful and pure that it makes me wanna cry.”
“I'm sorry,” he says and you giggle, more tears spilling from your eyes.
“see, this is what i mean. why are you apologizing. this is so silly and you're so perfect and i can't believe you love me.”
“well i do,” he leans away, kissing your forehead tenderly. the sticky lip gloss lingers on your skin. “i love you so much, angel. i will only ever love you.”
“promise me?” you ask in a feat of vulnerability almost foreign to your being.
“i promise.”
you believe him.
“thank you. please don't put this lipgloss near anyone else or it'll make them cry too.”
“i think that's just you baby,” he grins, his thumb swiping over your thigh comfortingly, then, his nose brushing against your own. “kiss?”
you close your eyes, a sigh of relief, of longing escaping your body. “please.”
to be loved by felix— maybe you're the one favored by the stars after all.

a/n: by popular demand, here is part two of law in pink, and yes, I will be returning to this story in a short series with chapters from ssa woods!reader x spencer. thank you very much again and I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
The first rule everyone should know about you is that they must never mess with your face.
Never.
Because they don't know what a process it is to get it well cared for, hydrated and with that natural glow. They also don't know how expensive your skincare products are (always the best of the best) and your sessions with your dermatologist.
So they should never, but never, mess with your face.
But clearly an unsub wasn't going to know that, a criminal accused of killing 4 women with a twisted mind was never going to think that.
Least of all when his hand punched you straight in the face, splitting your lip and leaving a mark on your cheekbone, causing the taste of iron to be savored in your mouth.
"What, is Barbie going to cry about her face? I don't understand why they sent the weakest one."
You turned to look at him as you heard his sarcastic laugh, which didn't last long as the Gucci logo on your heel was branded on his cheek and he was falling dazed after hitting a box in the process.
"Weak? Please, you messed with the wrong Barbie." You smiled proudly at the sight of him on the floor, pawing at your face and letting out a groan at the sensation of pain. "Now I'll have to make an appointment with my dermatologist and a traumatologist because of you." You sighed pulling the gun away from his body and proceeded to take his hands to cuff them.
Within minutes, you heard some voices calling out to you, so you began to signal where you were. Within seconds, you saw a concerned J.J. and Emily come down to where you were standing, pointing their guns at you.
The scene was amusing and amazing to watch, you on top of a man who was twice your size as well as weight, lying on the ground while his hands were cuffed.
"Malibu Barbie just captured the undercover toy." You motioned for the cops to take him away, noticing how Emily got a close look at your lip.
"That must hurt."
"It'll hurt more for him, these babies are from last season and has a good sole. Fresh from the mail and ready to make a mark." You commented showing your heels to your companions, hearing their laughter at your joke.
The three of you walked out behind the hoard of people, noticing Spencer and Derek getting out of the newly arrived SUV. As soon as Spencer's gaze captured your face in his field of vision, you could feel him notice right away how your wounded face was the focus of the stares.
"What happened?" Derek looked in everyone's direction, stopping your gaze on you and the clear change in your usual 'perfect' face. "Oh no, Barbie..."
"Don't even look at me, better look at him." You pointed your chin in the direction of the patrol car, where your shoe logo was visible on the criminal's ruddy cheek. "My pilates classes taught him a good lesson." You commented smiling, but immediately let out a groan from the pain it was to move the muscles in your face. "But I think it will leave me achy for a few days."
In between conversations, the others convinced you to go get attended to, so you heeded and walked away from them in the direction of the ambulance, so they could give your cheekbone and lip attention.
"Are you okay, Y/N?"
Spencer's soft voice made you forget the pain for a few seconds, turning to see his face and giving him a smile where your white teeth took center stage.
"I'm fine, it was just a tap." The paramedic walked away to leave the two of you alone. You knew it wasn't an answer that would leave Spencer satisfied about your condition, in fact, his intense stare at you was more than enough to make that clear. You let out a sigh, turning to look at the brunette. "Well, I don't think it's just a 'tap out'. I'll have to ask for a couple of days until I show up at the office decently, not with this horrible face."
One of your biggest problems was your appearance, as many may note, because, if you weren't perfect, you couldn't leave your house.
It had to be everything, head to toe, just the way you have it in your head, if not, sorry, but they'll have to wait for you.
"It's not horrible, you still look just as beautiful." Spencer's words seemed impulsive, but they made your cheeks turn pink, even though I wasn't the only one blushing at that moment, Spencer's were just the same.
"You think so?" your eyelashes fluttered softly, watching the boy.
"Y-yes, y-you always look cute, Y/N."
A kiss on his cheek was the positive response you left for Spence to understand that his words were the best choice, and helped push away those thoughts about how bad you looked with a swollen lip and bruises on your cheek.
"Thank you Spencie, your words are always the right ones. Like a good Chai Latte on a cold day." You smiled getting up from where you were, indicating to him that you would go to the SUV.
For the first time in his life, Spencer appreciated his impulsiveness.
Tumblr media
About a week later, you reappeared at the office for a full day's work.
Your body was covered by a pink skirt and jacket ensemble, something that was no longer a problem for anyone after weeks of seeing you arrive like this.
The only thing that wasn't pink at all was your black purse, a beautiful Alexandra. K. Joy and of course, the tray full of coffees you were carrying in your hands.
"Miss Universe, you're back." Derek smiled, causing you to walk up to him and leave a short hug.
"Good things always come back, now be a cutie and help me with this, D." You passed him the tray with coffees, walking beside him as you shared a couple of words.
There was a variety of coffees for everyone according to their tastes, you had taken the time to memorize each order so that it was to their liking.
And as soon as you appeared, you heard Penelope's voice call out to you. Your hand rose to greet her, approaching her with a smile.
"My pretty Y/N." The blonde immediately caught you in a hug, causing you to do the same.
"Penny!" you said cheerfully as you passed her a butterscotch frappe with plant-based milk. "I picked out something I thought you'd like."
"Thanks, cutie. How's your lip?"
"Sore, a little damaged, but better than I thought. My dermatologist recommended a magic cream that Lindsay Lohan used, she said it worked miracles and in two weeks it would be just the way it was."
A smile tugged at your lips, starting to pass out the coffees you had bought until you reached the last one: the one for Dr. Reid.
"Spencie." Your voice snapped him out of his head, turning to see you with a smile.
"Y/N, hey. How are you doing?"
"Much, much better, look... My lip looks almost like it did before! I'll get back to my pretty face." You placed the coffee in front of his eyes, giving him another smile. "A coffee loaded with vegetable milk, I heard around that you're lactose intolerant so I took the liberty of choosing for you."
A blush of embarrassment at that secret settled on his cheeks, causing him to lower his head.
"Thank you, Y/N. I appreciate the coffee." He lifted the cup, taking a sip from it and simply gave you a look, causing you to smile and go to your table.
But it was surprise that settled on your face as you saw a box full of skincare products. Your hands went to grab the products, noticing that it was every single one you occupied and ever mentioned.
"What? Guys... Wow." You held up the little serum box, but the confusion on Emily's face turned your excitement to confusion. "It wasn't you guys?"
"I don't even remember what I did yesterday and I'm going to remember your products, cutie. You take a lot of them." Emily laughed softly, but made you look again in search of the person responsible.
"There's only one person who can remember details like that." Derek's words drew your gaze from your desk to that of a certain doctor, who was shifting his gaze back to his paperwork. "And he hides behind his work."
A soft blush settled on your cheeks, causing you to bring the little box to your chest and press it to your heart, marveling at the detail.
Your feet soon made their way to the desk of the person in charge, and catching him off guard, you left a kiss on his cheek where your pink lipstick was stamped on his skin.
"Thank you, Spencie. I'll take good care of it."
Spencer's heart stopped for a couple of seconds, you could read it.
And as soon as you left, just like a tomato the young doctor's face colored. As a plus, the comments from Morgan didn't take long to come.
"Wow pretty boy, you just won the lottery."
Spencer knew it and that caused him to smile, because boy did he win it.

'I did nothin' wrong!' Floyd thought to himself.
In the shadowed back alley, Floyd sat curled up against the wall, his emotions roiling like a stormy sea after a heated confrontation with Jade. Anger still boiled within him, but the sting of his injuries dampened his spirit.
His left cheek was swollen and discolored, a vivid shade of purple and blue, with a raw, angry red spot where Jade's knuckles had landed with force. A small cut near his eyebrow oozed blood, giving his face a gritty and battle-worn appearance. His knuckles were bruised and bloodied as well, the skin was broken in places from the forceful punches he had thrown.
He nursed his wounded pride, nursing his bruised ego, and found solace in the alleyway alone, away from prying eyes. If anyone had dared to even look at him funny, they would be met with a fierce glare from his mismatched eyes, as if daring them to challenge him to a second fight.
But it seemed his glare wasn't intimidating enough, as your shadow started approaching him, prompting him to look up from the floor. You were a small thing in Floyd's eyes, not the best target for a fight, and definitely easy to throw around.
'Pshh... Just small fry...' he thought as he rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Uhh, hey there," you said hesitantly, holding out a plastic bag Floyd could only assume contained first aid supplies from the red symbols. "I couldn't help but notice you're hurt. Your injuries might get infected if you leave them untreated."
Floyd's initial gruffness wavered slightly as he glanced at you, surprised by your concern. But he didn't want anyone's pity or help, especially not from a stranger. "I don't need any help from small fry like you," he retorted, trying to sound tough and dismissive. "I'm not that weak."
Still, you continued taking steps closer, kneeling down next to him to stare directly into his eyes. "Even strong people can get infections, you know," you said, a wry smile playing on your lips. "It'll hurt more then, so it's better to have it treated now."
Floyd hesitated, torn between his pride and the growing realization that he did need help. Perhaps it was the adrenaline passing, but he could feel his bloodied hand throbbing in sharp pain. He cast a hesitant glance in your direction, taking in the softness and understanding in your face. In that moment, he decided to let his guard down, just for a little bit.
"Fine, whatever," he mumbled, begrudgingly extending his injured hand toward you.
Your touch was gentle and sure, and as you cleaned the wounds and applied antiseptic, you made sure to warn him of the incoming sting, though he seemed unaffected by it all. Despite his efforts to stay aloof, Floyd found himself feeling strangely comforted by your presence. As you continued to patch him up, he felt a warmth spreading through his body, a soft and fuzzy feeling that he couldn't explain. He wondered if that was the infection you had warned him about, but it didn't feel bad or painful; instead, it felt like a balm for his tired soul.
With your curiosity getting the better of you, you couldn't help but ask about the cause of the fight.
"So, what happened?"
Floyd looked at you, his eyes meeting yours, and for a moment, he hesitated. However, the trust he had found in your compassion made him open up.
"Shrimpy's curious, huh..." he replied with a small smile. "Okay, I'll tell ya, but only cuz you're Shrimpy."
You blinked at the peculiar nickname, amused and intrigued. "Shrimpy? Is that... me?"
He nodded happily, a hint of mischief in his eyes. You couldn't help but smile wryly at the odd choice of nickname.
"I had a fight with my brother," Floyd finally admitted, his smile fading into a pout.
"It's Jade's fault!" he yelled, his frustration evident in his voice. "He kept using those weird ingredients in his cooking, even though I hate 'em! I kept tellin' him, but he didn't even listen."
He paused, his voice turning quieter as he continued, "So I broke one of his terrariums to make him stop, but he got really angry..."
You listened attentively, humming as you carefully cleaned the wound on his face. "And so you two fought... I understand how that could be frustrating," you said softly. "You know, cooking takes a lot of time and effort... I'm sure your brother just wanted you to enjoy it like he does."
Floyd glanced at you, his mismatched eyes reflecting a mixture of emotions. He couldn't ignore the gut feeling that maybe you were right.
"Yeah, maybe he did," he conceded, a hint of contemplation in his voice. "But it's still annoying he doesn't listen to me."
You nodded, understanding his frustrations. "Of course, it's not nice that Jade disregarded your feelings," you replied gently. "But you should respect his feelings too. Breaking his terrarium wasn't the right way to handle it."
Your words struck a chord with Floyd, and he felt a pang of remorse for his impulsive actions. He knew better than anyone else how much time and effort Jade devoted to caring for his cherished terrariums, often staying up late into the night to tend to them.
"Aww man... Shrimpy's right," he muttered, feeling the weight of his mistake. "Jeez, what do I do now?"
You offered a reassuring smile, glad that his anger had dissipated. "It's never too late to make things right. The best place to start is always an apology," you suggested. "There, all done," you murmured as you finished placing an island dressing bandage on his face, a smile forming on your face at the job well done.
Floyd, meanwhile, stared at you in a daze, your close proximity allowing him to notice all the little details on your face. He felt his cheeks warm as a gentle affection slowly bubbled inside him. Your genuine care and gentle touch had triggered something deep within him, and he found himself feeling drawn to your presence.
"Floyd!" a familiar voice broke him out of his daze. "There you are!"
Jade stood at the front of the alley, slightly panting as if he had been rushing around. You nudged Floyd gently, having recognized that the man must be his brother, and gave him a reassuring nod.
Floyd glanced at his brother, momentarily torn between his pride and guilt. But he took a deep breath and stepped forward, his voice steady as he said, "Jade, sorry... I shouldn't have broken your terrarium, and it was wrong..." He confessed. "But I don't want to eat any of those weird things again!" he exclaimed with a pout.
Jade's initial surprise gave way to a soft smile, appreciating Floyd's rare willingness to apologize and make amends.
"I understand, Floyd," Jade replied, his tone more understanding now. "And I apologise as well. I should have listened to you and respected your preferences."
Floyd's pout softened as he realized that his brother was willing to meet him halfway. "Really?" he asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
Jade nodded. "Yes, really. Though I do not wish to, I will stop using mushrooms for your meals."
"Wait..." you blurted, turning to look at Floyd. "This whole time, the weird ingredients you've been talking about are mushrooms?"
At he nodded furiously, your incredulous expression only intensified. "But mushrooms are so delicious! Why would you hate them?"
Before Floyd could even start to complain, Jade approached you and clasped both of you hands, his eyes alit with surprise and excitement. "I'm delighted to meet a fellow mushroom lover! Would you like to join me on a mushroom foraging trip in the mountains?"
You blinked, taken aback by the sudden turn of events. As you tried to muster up a response, a pair of strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you backward to meet his sturdy chest. It was Floyd, and you could feel his warmth and presence enveloping you, his chin resting on top of your head, his hair tickling your forehead.
"No way! Go get your own Shrimpy! This one's mine!" Floyd exclaimed, his arms tightening around you possessively to prove his point.
Jade's lips spread into a wide smile, his sharp teeth showing playfully. "Now now, Floyd, I do believe you've broken a precious terrarium of mine," he hummed as he tapped his chin thoughtfully. "It's only fair that you give me something for reparations."
"Nuh-uh! As if I'd let you steal my Shrimpy!" Floyd said. In a fluid motion, he picked you up and started running off with you, while you scrambled to hold on tight to him.
You couldn't help but squeal as the unexpected playfulness unfolded. "W-wait! Floyd! Put me down!"
"Nope! You're my cleaner Shrimpy now! I'm not lettin' you go!" Floyd declared, his voice lighthearted and full of joy.
Maybe you should have been more concerned by his words, but you found yourself so captivated by his joyful and innocent laugh, that you couldn't help but burst into a fit of giggles with him.

The Truth of the Matter
A four part miniseries
@wonderland-girl143-blog @gregre369 @420-hun
Part One
Part Two
Robin poured over the book that Eddie had bought at the Flea Market. She was reading it rather intensely. She looked up at Eddie.
"You said you bought this at a Flea Market?" Robin asked.
"Actually, it was free. There was this woman selling only this. I thought it was strange, especially when she wouldn't sell it until I came up. She said, "This is for you," and gave it to me," Eddie said. "I tried going back the next weekend, but she was gone, and no one ever heard of her."
"That is. . .odd," Dustin said.
"Well, everything else is in English, but the spells are in Latin," Robin said.
"No, they were all in English. I read English," Eddie said.
"Uh, Eddie, you weren't speaking in English when you said the spell," Lucas said.
"I wasn't?" He asked.
"No," Dustin, Mike, and Lucas said.
"Why are you still glaring at me, Michael?" Robin asked. "I almost punched you, but I didn't. . . Anyway, it says here that only people with Wiccan blood can automatically translate the spells in their head and perform them."
"Wait, does this mean that I'm a witch?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah."
"Holy shit! This is the COOOLEST!" Eddie yelled.
"Hey, maybe you can use your powers to help Steve find his parents," Dustin said.
"Oh, shit, that's right. . .Harrington was kidnapped," Eddie winced and whirled around. "Sorry, man."
Steve had plopped down on Eddie's throne and leaned back against it as he crossed his legs. He was staring straight ahead, looking at nothing. Eddie tried to ignore how good he looked in that chair and also the fact that he wanted to untangle his legs to sit down in his lap. His face looked troubled, so Eddie easily pushed those thoughts away.
"You okay, man?" Eddie asked.
"Steve?" Robin asked.
"Shit! Robin, who's at the store?!" Steve asked, sitting up.
"I closed the store and hitched a ride with a customer. Keith is going to be pissed but I thought you were being murdered," Robin said. "Anyway, more important things to focus on here, babe. Are you okay?"
"Well, my parents aren't my parents, which I kind of always thought, but I didn't think they kidnapped me. Do you think they might have killed my real parents?" Steve asked.
"I don't know, but we're going to fucking find out because you look like a goddamn kicked puppy and the way you're inflating your eyes like that is killing me," Eddie said as he ripped the book out of Robin's hands.
"We're just going to ignore a lot of the secrets that Steve spilled, right?" Dustin asked.
"Even the sex dream about - " Lucas started to say.
"Yes, because that's my fucking sister and Will's brother!" Mike exclaimed.
"Ah, the sex dream. Did you mention the clown sitting in the corner watching while it made balloon animals?" Robin asked.
"No!" Steve scowled. "Fucking clowns."
"Did you really touch Steve’s dick?" Dustin asked Robin.
"Yes, and my lesbianism is still very much intact," Robin said. "Thank God."
"I thought we weren't going to talk about this!" Mike yelled.
"Mike's such a prude. He's afraid to talk about sex even though we're all sentient walking water bags made of sex and flesh," Dustin said.
"Okay. Now, you just made me uncomfortable. Never describe it like that again," Eddie said.
Dustin gave him a toothy grin, and he smiled softly before looking back at the book.
"What are we going to do if my parents are like dead or on the other side of the world?" Steve asked.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, Steve," Dustin said.
"You want to know, don't you?" Robin asked.
"Yeah. . .yeah, I guess," Steve said softly. "I guess it's the feeling that I don't know what to expect here that's overwhelming me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up for really good parents."
"That makes sense," Robin said softly. "I'm sure it'll work out."
"I can't believe Eddie's allowing you to sit in his chair," Mike said. "No one sits there except for him."
"It's cause he's pretty," Eddie said without looking up, and Steve giggled. "Hey, I found it! Steve, get your gorgeous ass in the circle and take off your shirt. Oh, you also need a blank piece of paper."
"Does it really need me to take off my shirt?" Steve asked.
"Yes it does," Eddie said seriously.
Dustin looked over his shoulder, frowned, and opened his mouth to say something. Eddie quickly put his arm around him and pulled his face to his chest, cooing at him. Steve looked doubtfully at him for a moment before getting up off the chair and pulling off his shirt. Dustin shoved Eddie away, scowling at him. Eddie grinned at Steve as he moved back into the circle with a sheet of paper. Eddie relit the candles and got the others to stand around Steve.
"Am I good?" Steve asked.
"Hold on, you need to be a little bit more even," Eddie frowned.
He placed his hands on Steve’s hips and moved him slightly.
"I think you're just finding any excuse to touch me," Steve smirked.
"Who? Me?" Eddie asked innocently.
"If I look in the book, it's not going to say I need to be shirtless, is it?" He asked.
Eddie smirked and moved his hands to Steve’s stomach. He dragged his fingertips up, moving softly over his skin. Steve shuddered. He rested his hands on his pecs for a moment before moving them to his shoulders.
"On your knees, big boy," Eddie said as he pushed him to his knees.
"I just want to remind you that there are children in the room, and one of them is me!" Robin yelled and Eddie jumped.
"What were we doing?" He asked as he blinked a lot.
"Oh my God! Finding Steve’s parents!" Dustin shrieked. "Have your way with our babysitter later!"
"You act like it's my fault!" Eddie exclaimed. "Tell Steve to stop being so pretty!"
"Steve! Stop it!"
"I can't help it! It just naturally happens," Steve smirked.
"Well, since you're not human, I guess you could say it's SUPERnatural," Robin said.
Robin and Steve giggled before high fiving each other. Dustin sighed.
"Steve, do you want to find your parents or not?" Dustin asked.
"Not if you're going to have that attitude," Steve scowled.
"It's his tone, right?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah, let's get this done before our kid has a conniption," Steve said.
"He's really eager to meet his grandparents," Eddie cackled.
"Oh, now, you're in on the joke?" Dustin asked as Mike and Lucas laughed.
"Yeah," Steve and Eddie said.
Eddie opened the book and began to chant. The lights flickered, and the flames from the candles shot up in the air. Wind whipped around the room as Eddie continued to say the spell. Steve twitched and then shook before falling backward. He started shrieking in pain as the paper fell from his hands.
"Eddie! Stop! Stop! STOP! SOMETHING'S WRONG!" Lucas yelled.
Eddie stopped the chant, and as soon as he did, Steve stopped screaming.
"My back, my back. . .something's on my back," Steve said.
Eddie shut the book and rushed so quickly to get to him that he ended up sliding across the floor on his knees. He turned Steve over to find a painful looking rune flaring up in the middle of his back.
"What the fuck is that?" Mike asked.
Eddie opened the book and began flipping through the pages, cursing as he did so. Meanwhile, he had Steve’s head in his lap, blinking up at him.
"Okay, it says here that it's some sort of rune of protection. . . Against fae. . .you know, fairies. . .a witch placed it on you," Eddie said. "Well, that's fucked. . . No wonder your parents couldn't find you. . .well, let's see if we can't get this fucker off of you. . . Shit, I hope I can do this. . .it says I need to be related to the witch who placed the rune on you."
Eddie took one hand off the book and began stroking Steve’s hair. He muttered something, and the page turned. He did that quite a few times as he read.
"Eddie, what did you say to the book?" Mike asked.
"Oh, I said,"Turn the page." I guess I was speaking in Latin again," Eddie said.
"That's so cool," Dustin muttered.
"Okay. . .getting this rune off is going to hurt a lot. . .do you want to do this?" Eddie asked Steve.
"I'm used to a little pain. Bring it," Steve said.
"Okay, sit up," Eddie said and pulled a knife out of his pocket.
Steve sat up, putting himself on his knees again. Eddie sat behind him and muttered something else. The spellbook floated in front of him, and he opened the knife. Eddie sighed and hesitated before placing a kiss on Steve’s shoulders blade.
"Is that part of the spell?" Steve asked.
"No, it's just going to fucking hurt a lot. It's basically me cutting it out. . .so, yeah. . .sorry, so, so, so sorry," Eddie said.
He muttered another spell as he looked at the book and held the knife over a flame, letting it get hot. He chanted for a moment, and the flames flared up around the blade. Eddie hovered the blade above the rune and started to say the spell as he moved the knife as though he was actually cutting it off. Steve let out an inhuman shriek, his yells bouncing off the walls. The wind picked up, the flames grew higher, and the lights above them exploded as Eddie continued to chant. Tears rolled down Steve’s cheek as he threw his head back. Finally, Eddie stopped, and Steve collapsed in relief.
"Shit, that did hurt," Steve said, and he paused when he didn't get a response. "Eddie?"
Steve turned around and found Eddie still sitting on his knees. Blood was pouring out of his nose. He swayed and fell backward. Steve moved over to him and cradled him in his arms.
"Eddie?" He asked.
"There was a suggestion in the book to not overdo it. I was just like. . .fuck it, I can do it. I'm fine, I'm fine. . .I just need someone's lips on mine," Eddie said and closed his eyes, puckering his lips.
"Alright, I'll just go find Principal Higgins, shall I?" Dustin asked, peering over Steve’s shoulder.
"I'm up, I'm up!" Eddie sat up quickly. "Oh, too fast! Sleepy. . ."
He pressed his cheek against Steve’s chest and closed his eyes again. His snores filled the room.
"I guess we'll take him back to my place," Steve said and picked him up.
Robin pulled out a tissue and wiped Eddie's nose.
"Hey, Steve?"
"Yeah?"
"Your tits are still out, you slut."
"Right. Thanks, Robin."
When Eddie woke up, he found himself in a very ugly room. Plaid walls, plaid curtains, plaid sheets. . .Eddie screamed. He screamed louder at the single car poster hanging on the wall. . .it was all so sad. Steve burst into the room, wielding a bat with nails.
"Steve, where the hell am I?" Eddie asked.
"My house and my room," Steve said.
"Oh my God, this is your room? This is hell, Steve," Eddie said in horror.
"Well, my parents like everything neat," Steve said.
"You mean, your kidnappers," Eddie corrected.
"Right," Steve frowned. "Come on, let's get something in you."
"Hell yeah!" Eddie exclaimed and started unbuttoning his pants.
"What are you doing? I was talking about food. There's pizza downstairs," Steve said.
"Yeah, that's what I was talking about," Eddie said quickly. "I was just unbuttoning them to make room for the pizza."
"Right," Steve smirked. "As much as I would love to do that with you, some secrets should remain secret. I do not want the kids to know that I'm a screamer. Let's go, sweet cheeks."
Steve slapped his ass and Eddie cursed.
"I hate you!"
"No, you don't!"
Dustin immediately threw his arms around Eddie the minute he walked into the kitchen. Steve smiled softly at the sight of them and ruffled his hair.
"You scared the shit out of us, man," Dustin said. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Just needed some rest," Eddie grinned. "What time is it?"
"Almost midnight. Are you going to do the location spell again?" Mike asked.
"He just woke up, Mike. Let's get some food in him first," Steve sighed.
"After I eat," Eddie said, snapping his fingers at him.
Sitting down to eat, Eddie spent the majority of the meal laughing with the kids and playing with what he thought was Steve’s leg under the table. It had been Robin's.
"You could have told me!" Eddie hissed.
"Then it wouldn't have been funny," Robin replied.
They gathered in the living room and pushed the furniture out of the way to create the circle. Eddie knelt in front of Steve this time, the book floating beside them, and the piece of paper on the floor.
"You don't have to do this, you know," Steve said.
"I kind of do. . .I judged you harshly before. . .because you're a jock and because of the assholes who's bothered us in the past. I used to think that since you had a big house and a fancy car that you had it easy. I used to mock you mercilessly in Hellfire, and that wasn't right of me to do that," Eddie said. "Not all jocks are bad."
"Well, no one is perfect," Steve said. "This is a lot even for all of that. Thank you, you're a good man."
"I mean, so are you," Eddie said, blushing. "I'm still an asshole though."
"Yeah, that's true," Steve said with a grin.
Steve cupped the back of his neck and pulled him for a kiss. It was short and sweet. When Steve pulled away, Eddie let out a soft giggle.
"I am loving this," Dustin grinned and then frowned. "But also, gross."
"Yeah, kids never like it when their parents kiss," Robin said, and Dustin sighed loudly.
Grinning, Eddie performed the spells without any problems. Words appeared on the paper. One of them was an address in Indianapolis, and one of them was a plot number for the cemetery in Hawkins.
"Well, shit, I guess one of my parents is dead," Steve frowned.
"Sorry, Steve," Dustin said quietly.
"We don't have to do it tonight, but we can check out the cemetery whenever you want to," Robin said.
"I'm curious now, and at least, I'll get one answer tonight," Steve said. "Although, going at night seems like a bad idea."
"Don't be a chicken shit, Steve, let's do it," Dustin grinned.
So, now, here they were. . .at night. . .in a fucking graveyard. They had flashlights, and Steve made sure to bring his trusty bat. Meanwhile, Robin made sure to bring a thermos full of hot cocoa that she was currently sharing with the boys in front of them. Eddie was walking beside Steve, swinging his arms and letting his hand brush up against Steve’s.
"So, was that kiss just a one-time thing, or are you planning on doing it again?" Eddie asked.
"I definitely want to do it again. . . Would that be okay?" Steve asked.
"Definitely," Eddie grinned and then paused. "You said back in the drama room that you'd always be in love with Nancy Wheeler."
"Well, yeah, a part of me, anyways. There's just so much history there, and she's just so. . . Nancy. She's beautiful, and she cares so much about people. She's willing to put it all on the line for her friends and for her family. She's the bravest person that I have ever met. I don't regret falling in love with her. . . But I regret that I didn't get to know her best friend and I wish I could have been there for her when she needed me the most. I know what happened to Barb wasn't our fault, but I still can't help feeling guilty. I think there's always going to be that connection between us," Steve said.
"I know that Barb died, and she was Wheeler's best friend, but isn't it that Brenner's guys fault? The one Dustin told me about?" Eddie asked. "Why would you feel guilty?"
"Well, it was the first time that Nancy and I had sex together. While that was going on in my house, Barb was being dragged into the Upside Down and . . . Well, you know. . ." Steve said.
"Holy fucking shit. . .yeah, I could see how that could mess you both up," Eddie said.
"Yeah. . .it's pathetic, I know. . ." Steve said.
"No, man, it's not. You're not pining after her, you love her, and you accept the fact that you're not going to be together. I can see why either of you would want to hold onto the good parts of your relationship. You all have been through so much shit and if you guys can come through it all while still having love in your hearts. . . It's amazing," Eddie said.
"Yeah," Steve smiled and paused. "Have you ever been in love?"
"I've come close. I think at the time, we both had stars in our eyes, and all we saw when we looked at each other were plane tickets out of town. In the end, I couldn't leave town, but she could have, and after everything she did for me, I couldn't go with her. I wish I had done it better, but yeah, I pushed her away so she wouldn't come back," Eddie said.
"Damn, you white fanged her?" Steve asked.
"I mean, I guess you could call it that," Eddie said. "You know White Fang?"
"Yeah, it's not my favorite," he said and paused. "I wish things had gone better with. . ."
"Paige," Eddie said.
"Paige," Steve said.
"I wish things had gone better with Nancy," Eddie replied.
"Yeah," he said softly.
"You like women, too?" Steve asked.
"Yeah," he replied. "It took me a while to realize that I liked men at all or that I was even flirting with them. According to my best friend, Ronnie, it's not exactly very straight of me to go on rants about jocks' sweaty muscles."
"Was I in one of those rants?" Steve asked as he stopped and turned to Eddie.
He pulled Eddie into his arms, wrapping his arms around his waist.
"You were very prominent," Eddie said bashfully.
"Maybe you didn't hate me at all," Steve said, his eyes twinkling. "Maybe you just had a type."
Eddie kissed him, and Steve smiled against his lips. Eddie wrapped his arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss, moaning into his mouth.
"REALLY ROMANTIC, STEVE, MAKING OUT IN A GRAVEYARD!" Dustin yelled. "YOU'RE KISSING OVER DEAD PEOPLE!"
Eddie growled as he broke the kiss and Steve bit his lip to keep from laughing.
"NO ONE IS SUPPOSE TO KNOW WE'RE HERE BUT IF YOU KEEP YELLING LIKE THAT THEY'RE GOING TO. . .BUTTHEAD!" Eddie yelled back at him.
"FOUND IT!" Lucas yelled.
"I don't think they understand the word subtle," Steve sighed. "Although, neither do you, so they're definitely yours."
"Were there doubts?" Eddie asked with a dramatic gasp.
Steve smiled softly at him, grabbed his hand, and laced their fingers together before pulling him in the direction of the kids. When they got to them, Robin and the kids were whispering together.
"There's no fucking way!" Mike exclaimed. "He never had kids!"
"That you know of. I imagine that it was probably painful to talk about your son getting kidnapped and being unable to find him in your own hometown," Dustin said.
"What? What is it?" Steve asked.
"Are we even sure it's the right plot?" Mike asked.
"Yes!" Dustin and Lucas exclaimed.
Steve moved towards the gravestone and shined his flashlight on it.

Steve
Asking Eddie to move to Indy with him and Robin is the most natural thing in the world. After Vecna they became SteveandRobinandEddie, so it just made sense to live together.
Everything is perfect.
It changes one night, at their favorite gay bar. He and Eddie nurse a couple of beers at a hightop, while Robin dances with a cute blonde. Steve half-heartedly shimmies along to the Madonna song pumping through the speakers. Eddie watches him vamp to Material Girl with a look in his dark eyes that Steve can't quite read. It's not the usual fondness he's used to from his friend; too dark and too serious. It makes him nervous.
Eddie drains his drink, mouths the word "bathroom," at Steve, then disappears in the crowd.
Steve sips his own beer, letting his attention drift until he finds Robin, still dancing with the blonde, looking like she's having the time of her life. He expects Eddie back at any time, only--ten, fifteen minutes pass with no sign of him.
His eyes start scanning the crowd in earnest, desperately seeking familiar leather and denim and long dark hair. Anxiety builds in his chest, a dull sizzle beneath his skin.
He finally spots a set of leather-clad broad shoulders towards the back of the room. Eddie has one hand braced against the brick wall, pressed up nice and close to someone Steve can't quite make out.
There's bile in Steve's throat, nausea clenching at his stomach. He shouldn't look; he can't tear his eyes away.
The person is revealed in a flash of light from the dance floor. He has an All-American jaw, swoopy dark blond hair, and is wearing a grass green sweater. The closest thing to Indiana golden boy in the place, second only to Steve.
Room suddenly spinning, Steve struggles to catch his breath, but gives up entirely as Eddie closes the remaining distance between himself and the mystery man, sealing their lips in a searing kiss.
Steve watches, feels himself breaking apart piece by piece. He thought--he thought they were something. Becoming something. All their late night talks and casual touches. He'd been working up the courage to make a move for weeks, and now--
Maybe it's a mistake. Maybe Eddie breaks the embrace and gives an embarrassed chuckle before he comes back to Steve, only he doesn't. The kiss ends, sure, but then Eddie is taking the guy's hand, leading him down the hall towards the bathrooms.
Hands clutched in his hair, Steve sinks into a crouch. He pants, huffing like he just ran sprints, can't catch his breath. Tears dance at his lash line, threatening to fall. He can't have a panic attack now, here. Doesn't want Robin to see; doesn't want Eddie--
It's all too small, too tight, too loud, and Steve shoves his way outside. He rounds the building before sinking to the ground, hands shaking.
He waits outside until Robin and Eddie emerge from the club, both flushed and sweaty. He doesn't speak to either of them and they spend the drive in silence.
When they get home, he goes straight to his bedroom.
"Ste--" Robin calls, but he lets the door shut behind him. He doesn't think it slams.
Eddie
Steve hasn't spoken to him in weeks. Not since that night at the bar. When Eddie hooked up with a guy and he's pretty sure Steve knows; pretty sure it's why they're no longer on speaking terms. Eddie keeps meaning to confront him. He really does. It's just--it'll change everything, and his life was finally going okay for once.
He reaches his limit when he joins Steve in the kitchen before work, and the guy literally, visibly flinches away from him. It hits Eddie like being punched in the dick.
"What the fuck, Harrington." Eddie's voice is too loud in the small space.
"S-sorry, I'll just get out of your way." Steve's eyes don't stray from his own hands.
"I hook up with one guy and now can't even bear to touch me?"
"What? Eds that's not--"
"Don't lie to my fucking face."
"I wouldn't. Eddie, please--"
"I can't believe that this is the last vestige of King Steve. Can say you're cool with me, but when you see me do gay shit, you can't hang? Fuck you. I'm done. I'll be gone by the weekend." His voice stays remarkably steady, even though he's pretty sure not even the bat bites hurt this much.
"Christ, Munson, I'm not freaked out cause I saw you do 'gay shit.' I don't care." Steve's looking at him now; his little mouth held tight and mad.
"Like hell you don't. You haven't spoken to me since it happened."
"Not because I'm homophobic, asshole."
That makes Eddie laugh, shrill and mean. "Oh yeah? Then why."
"It doesn't matter." Steve yanks his hand through his hair.
"It does to me."
"Just drop it. You don't have to move out. I don't care who you fuck."
"You can barely stand to look at me!" Eddie shouts; doesn't mean to. "What if I bring someone home, huh? How are you gonna cope with that, knowing I'm fucking a guy in the next room?"
"It should have been me," Steve screams.
Neither of them move in the ringing silence that follows. Eddie's throat is tight.
"Wh-what?" He manages.
"Forget it." Steve turns to go. "Just--forget I said anything."
"Steve." Eddie follows him into their living room. His heart's beating all funny. "What do you mean?"
"It's nothing," Steve's face is leached of color; his eyes too bright.
"Please? I want to understand."
Steve laughs a little, looks absolutely miserable. "I saw you. With the guy. And he...he looked like me, right? And I don't understand why I'm not good enough."
Eddie swallows hard. "You don't--you're not--I didn't think you were a choice. For me."
Steve's chin drops, anywhere but on Eddie. "Yeah. Well. Surprise." He doe a pathetic flourish with his hands that clenches at Eddie's heart.
"Ah," is all Eddie can manage. The world is shifting under his feet, tectonic plates realigning as he processes Steve's words.
"It's--it's fine that you don't feel the same way. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you have to like me, and I--I was trying to get over it. I didn't want to--"
Eddie can't stand to listen to another word. He crosses the distance to Steve. "Shh, sweetheart. It's--just. Stop okay?"
Steve is looking up at him now, doe eyes wide.
He laughs, genuine this time. "Stevie. I've had a crush on you for years. Years. I used to make the guys go with me to Starcourt. I told them it was because I liked seeing King Steve laid low. Really I just liked how you looked in those little shorts." Steve giggles, face blushing such a pretty pink Eddie almost forgets what he's saying.
"It only got worse when I met the kids, with how much they talked about you. And then I met you for real? Pssh," Eddie waves his hand in the air. "Gone. No hope for Eddie Munson when you're--you're so pretty and bitchy and brave and hot, Steve, and I'm the weakest man in Indiana.
"That night. That guy. It was--I'd just overheard you and Robin talking about a cute girl, and I realized that I had to stop doing that to myself, pining over a straight guy who could never see me like I wanted. I decided that I'd try to pick someone up, force myself to see you just as a best friend."
Steve's face falls impassive. "Did it work?" He almost whispers.
"Not even close, baby," Eddie whispers back. "I'm hopeless for you."

When you're back at the base, the first thing that you get from your team is collective stares
"What happened to your cheek?" Price asked, visibly concerned
"Got punched by an asshole." You replied, still holding the ice pack against your face
"How did it happen?" He then glares at Graves, "You let this happen on your watch?"
He throws both of his hands in the air, while maintaining his smug face, "Easy there, soldiers." He said, "Sorry that I got your princess harmed, but it's necessary for the mission."
"Necessary?" Price growls, "Watch your mouth when you speak, Graves."
"Alright, alright. I'll leave." He then pats on Gaz's shoulder before turning around
The group immediately approaches you after he leaves, trying to look at your wound
"Whoa, he really gave you a nasty punch." Soap commented, "He wore rings?"
"All over his fingers."
"It'll take long before the bruise heals." Ghost interjected, "Since you're the medic here, I'm sure you know what's best for you."
Price nods before he looks at you, "You don't have to work today, you can rest after a mission."
"No, I'll come to work." You said, "Don't worry about me, captain."
He seems reluctant, but lets you do it anyway
Thankfully, your job requires you to use a mask, so most of your bruises are concealed.
At dinner, Graves brings quite a lot of alcohol to celebrate their mission. (The team had retrieved the important documents, as well as eliminating the target, so It's pretty much a success)
You usually skipped alcohol, but tonight you feel like you need it, so you join in
The table that you're in is pretty big, so three other soldiers are sitting with you and you team
Surprisingly, your team can handle their alcohol very well, but Soap is a lively drunkard, he talks a lot, and keeps the alcohol flows
Meanwhile, you're a chatty drunk. You can't keep a secret when you're drunk
"He touched me with his filthy hand, so of course I'd slap him." You confessed, "But then he dared to punch me in the face. The audacity."
"That's rough." Gaz winced
"But y'know, sometimes our job comes with those kinds of things." One of the men shrugged, "I didn't ask for it when I got shot or tortured, but then again, that's the consequences of my job."
"I didn't ask to be a surveillance." You hissed, "I'm just a medic, for God's sake."
"You could've ask him—"
"I did! I even tried to reason with him but nooo, he did care." You grit your teeth, "Even after roping me into this, he never once gave me any info for the mission and told me to be pretty and meek. At least I could've prepared if he told me things I could be dealing with during the mission."
"Cut it out, boy." Price stopped him before he could reply, "Y'know Graves was in the wrong here. We always brief our soldiers before missions."
"I'm not defending him."
The other man, who's silent for the whole interaction, finally speaks, "Maybe he did it because you've been using his name for unnecessary things."
You snort, "Somehow borrowing his name equals me almost getting raped?"
He shrugs, "Sometimes mentioning a certain name equals death."
"Yeah, okay, I get it." You immediately got up from your seat, "I'm just a spoiled bastard who can't handle the slightest discomfort aren't I?"
"Where are ye goin'?" Soap called when you're walking away
"My room. I'm tired of this shit."
Once you get into your room, you don’t bother to change your clothes as you go straight to bed
Of course, after getting angry and all, you can't immediately fall asleep. It takes about 15 minutes, before you're free from your anger
Then, you hear a knock on the door, before you hear a voice calls your name softly from outside
"Are you still awake?" You heard Price spoke
You contemplate whether you should answer or not, and decide to pick the first one
"Can I come in?" He asked, and you said yes
He steps inside, and pulls a chair by your bed. You turn around to see him, not hiding the tears streak on your face
"I'm sorry for what happened earlier, I hope you know he didn't mean that."
"I know." You frown while looking away, "I know all of those soldiers didn't mean to yell, or use hurtful words, I understand that, but I always try to comfort them, not telling them to grin and bear it."
He nods understandingly, "The constant threat in the field does make people numb to other's needs."
"Why are you here? Are you apologizing on their behalf?"
"No, I just got a feeling that you'd change division if I didn't clear it up."
You let out an amused snort, "I was just thinking about leaving. I hate Graves anyway."
"I won't force you to stay but I'll be very sad if you don't, you know how much I love your food." You roll your eyes at him, he chuckles, "Please hold on for one more month, then we'll go back home, to our base."
"Well, I can't disobey you if you say that, Captain."
"You better be."
You chuckle at him, and he gives you his usual (and sweet) smile. "Thank you, Price. I really do."
"No prob." He pats your arm, "You can talk to me whenever you want."
"I'll keep it in mind."
The next morning, when you're preparing your medical equipments, a patient comes into the room, and catches you by surprise as you recognize his face
"Johnny? Oh—" You hurriedly come to his side, "What happened to your face?"
"Got into a fight last nite." He grins, "Y'should've seen the other guy tho."
"My God, why did you do that? Who was it?" He looked away when you asked him, "... Don't tell me,"
"Ye don't 've ta worry 'bout it, bonnie."
"You can't make me not worry about you." You retorted, "They could've given a penalty!"
"Nah, they won't. 'M too valuable for that."
"Still," You let out a sigh, "You didn't have to do that."
"Yer angry at 'em."
"But it's only for a moment. I'm… used to that."
He looks at you for a moment, before pulling your hand into his. "Bonnie, ye kno' when you asked me to be a fake boyfie, ye told me that no one in the group'd be willin' ta help ya?" You furrow your brows at him as he continues, "Well, t'was a lie. They won't hesitate ta help ya, bonnie. But I didn't tell ya because I don't want 'em to."
You open your mouth to speak, but no word comes out of your mouth.
He chuckles at your silence, before giving your shoulder a pat." Make of that wha' yer will."
With that, he left the room. Leaving you there, dumbfounded, before you realize you haven't even treated him yet
You thought about him for half of a day, until lunch came and you sat down on the table without looking around. You didn't hear when the chair beside you was pulled, before someone took a seat
"Man, I miss your cooking." You snapped out of your thoughts, as you turned to see Gaz. "Everything tastes bland here, I can't even tell the difference between one dish and the other."
You chuckle when he pokes out his tongue in dismay, "I miss cooking too," You stare down at your plate, "... Helped me clear my mind."
"What's on your mind?" He asked, "Care to share?"
"Not sure if you'd wanna hear it though."
"What are you saying?" He retorted softly as he gave your shoulder a squeeze, "You know I'd listen to you."
"You're sweet, Gaz." You chuckled, "But really, I just wanna go back to our base. But at the same time, I feel like I'm just retreating back to my shell. I know that I can't be choosy for this job, but I wish I could be with you guys for a long time."
His gaze stays on you for a while, before he speaks in a hushed tone, "Don't tell anyone that I say this to you, but last night, me and Price were discussing about your contract, and," He leans closer, "It's possible to do a rescission for the contract. Since you've been put in harm's way."
"Really?"
He nods, "He might pull some strings to get you back, but the higher ups would dismiss it since you're not an operator. We're confident that this'll work, since Laswell herself has approved it."
You look at him for a moment, before pulling him into your arms. "Thank you." You said to him, "I don't know what I'd do without you guys."
You feel him smile before he pats your back, "People said that you're a spoiled princess," He grinned, "But we certainly don't mind spoiling you."
"You'll regret it someday."
"You're worth the regret."
His words stuck with you for the rest of the day, and somehow it lifted up your spirit as you took care of the wounded with ease. At night, when you're walking back to your room, you spot the masked man in the hallway. His head turns when you call his name, and you wave at him.
"Hi."
"Hey."
"Are you done for the day?"
"Mostly." He replied, "Just need to fill some paperwork."
"Alright then."
The two of you would bid goodbye, if you both didn't hear the angry stomp echoing in the corridor. You turn your head towards the sound, and your blood runs cold as you recognize the face
"I need to talk to you." Graves said with an unmistakable rage in his voice, "My office. Now."
You're about to open your mouth before you feel yourself pulled, until your body bumps against a hard muscle. It takes a second before you realize that Simon has his arm wrapped around you.
"Get outta the way, boy." He warned with a glare, "It's none of your business."
"No." He stated, as he kept you by his side
He snorts when he hears it. "No?" He sneered
"If it's about the revocation of the contract, she's not the one who filed it." He glared, "I did."
"Oh." He raised his brow in a mocking manner, "So you're the one who wrote those things?"
"Affirmative." He responded, "I was the one who saw her during the assault, so I'm eligible to give the account as a witness."
You see his muscles harden under his neck, as he hisses to the masked man, "I hope you're ready for Russia because that's where I'm sending you."
"Go ahead and try."
Just like that, the storm has passed by.
You don't know how long you stand there, before he reluctantly lets you go from his arm. You clear your throat as you step aside to face him.
"Um… Thank you." You told him while looking down
You feel his eyes on you, before his hand reaches up to pat your head. "It's nothing."
He bids you goodnight as he tells you to return to your room. You obey as you walk to your door, but when you look back to see him, you still find him standing on the same spot
The next morning, when you deliver your report to the Captain's office, you notice a familiar figure by his desk
The two men were talking, before they lifted their head when you walked in
"Hi." You greeted them, "Hope I'm not interrupting?"
"Not at all." Price reassured, "We were just discussing over something."
"Somethin' ta help fo' yer case, bonnie." His captain nudged him when he said it, "Wot? 'M sho she a'ready knew."
"Is it about Graves?"
"Well," He sighs, "It is. We were just talking about the things that he submitted as evidence."
You shot him a puzzled look, before you turn to Soap.
"The letters, bonnie." He grinned, "I gave him the letters tha' bastard wrote."
"You still had those with you?"
"'Course!" He chuckled, "Ah wanted to use it to rile him up, turns out they're useful for yer case."
"While they won't be included as real evidence, they're enough to convince Laswell to give her approval."
You look at him, while hugging the file close to your chest. "Price, I don't know if I could even repay you back—"
"Don't worry about it, (Name)." He dismissed it by a flick of his hand, "It's my job to ensure your safety."
"And out job ta keep the valuable member o' the team by our side." Soap added with a pat on your back, "Graves can bugger off with his shite."
"Oh…" You cover your mouth, trying to contain your emotions. "Thank you, I—"
"Stop it, bonnie." He said as he pulled you against his chest, "You owe us nothin'."
You didn't cry joyless tears, but they didn't know since you couldn't speak through your sob. You feel bad for causing them to panic, since you cry not out of distress, rather, you're touched by their kindness. When you feel Soap's embrace tightens, and your Captain's hand on your back, you can't help but indulge for a little while

the dim glow of fairy lights strung across lottie’s backyard cast a warm, golden hue over the party. the yellowjackets had won an important game the day before, and as usual, lottie’s parents were out of town, so there was no hesitation about throwing a party to celebrate the win.
you leaned against the wooden fence, holding a red plastic cup filled with something that tasted like a fruit punch spiked with some sort of liquor. you weren't exactly sure what was in it, but you were certain that more than half of the cup was pure alcohol.
your peace was interrupted by an all-too-familiar optimistic voice. "y/n! i've been looking for you," jackie said, grabbing you by the arm and dragging you away from your cozy corner.
"what are you doing?" you asked the blonde girl as she pulled you inside the house.
"we're playing a game," she said with excitement.
"don’t tell me it’s spin the bottle," you groaned as you saw people gathering around.
“come on, y/n, don't make that face,” jackie said, “maybe tonight's your lucky night,” she added with a wink, making you chuckle.
"alright, everyone! time to play!" she declared, ushering everyone into the living room. of course, she wasn’t going to play, being in a relationship with jeff. however, her nosy ass always wanted to be in charge of spinning the bottle—and potentially ruining people’s nights, you thought.
in no time, a group of people started sitting in a circle right in front of you. you noticed a bunch of yellow and blue bomber jacket owners gathering around. it was sort of a tradition that after every winning game, if there was a party, the yellowjackets would wear their bomber jackets all night to stand out. the owners of the bomber jackets in the circle were lottie, shauna, melisa, and surprisingly, laura lee. there were other people from school as well, including randy. hesitantly, you sat down between melisa and some random guy.
jackie took the bottle, giving it a vigorous spin. as the bottle spun and slowed down, its neck pointed straight at randy. then, after another spin, it landed on avery, one of the cutest seniors. a big smile lit up randy’s face, and you could practically feel his eagerness from a mile away. however, avery, with tousled hair and captivating, smoky eyes, shot randy a look of disgust. you could tell she wasn't too thrilled. unaware of the girl's reaction, randy stood up, all pumped and ready to head to the closet. you couldn't help but stifle a chuckle, and you noticed shauna letting out a relieved sigh.
"enjoy yourself," lottie teased, giving avery's shoulder a pat, to which she responded by rolling her eyes.
as they made their way to the downstairs closet, jackie spoke to the rest of the group. "okay, guys, brainstorm! what if we send two pairs at a time? it'll make things go quicker," she suggested, and everyone seemed to be on board.
“great!” she exclaimed before giving the bottle another spin. this time, though, it landed on you. jackie couldn't hide her excitement; she suppressed her smile and playfully wiggled her eyebrows up and down. “i wonder who the lucky winner will be,” she said before giving it another spin.
the bottle spun again, and you felt your heart sink as it stopped at shauna. you saw her face turn pale, and then red with annoyance. she glared at you as if you had somehow rigged the game.
jackie clapped her hands and squealed. “oh my god, this is perfect! the two most unlikely people to ever hook up.”
"this is gonna be interesting," lottie remarked with a smirk.
jackie seized both of your arms and whisked you towards the stairs. “come on, you two, don’t be shy! it’s just a game, have some fun!” she urged, but your attention was fixated on the irksome sound of laughter and cheering from the others.
you tried to resist, but jackie was too strong and excited. she pushed you and shauna into the upstairs closet and slammed the door behind you. you heard her shout, “seven minutes, starting now!” before her footsteps faded away.
you and shauna stood in the dark, facing each other. you could barely see her outline, but you could feel her hostility. you heard her snort and say, “this is ridiculous. i’m not going to waste my time with you.” she added, “just stay away from me and don’t touch me.”
you retorted, “fine by me. i don’t want anything to do with you either. you’re the last person i would ever kiss.”
she scoffed dismissively. "that's good then. it would be a waste anyway." her words carrying more weight than you anticipated.
shauna leaned against the wall, arms crossed. following suit, you leaned on the opposite side, feeling the bitter tension lingering in the air. you stood in silence for a moment, listening to the faint sounds of partying from below. you both felt uncomfortable, but neither was willing to break the silence.
then, she sighed. “you’re very annoying,” she muttered under her breath.
"you're not exactly a breeze yourself," you shot back. "not to mention stubborn as hell and fucking rude," you added, unable to restrain yourself.
her lips curled into an exasperated smile. "at least i don't act like i'm too good for everybody. you're the most stuck-up person i've ever met."
“well, at least i don't live under my best friend’s shadow. when we go downstairs, we should ask jackie for your daily dose of croquettes, you fucking lapdog.”
her eyes narrowed and she glared at you for a moment. “what was that?” she asked with a slight growl in her voice.
you stood your ground. “i said that you're a lapdog, bitch,” you enunciated each word with a sharp edge, your frustration boiling over.
shauna's eyes flashed with anger as she lunged forward, grabbing your shirt and forcefully pushing you against the drawer behind you. her hand moved up to your throat, putting just enough pressure to make it hard to breathe. attempting to pull away, you realized she was stronger than you anticipated. her face hovered inches from yours, her gaze intense, as if daring you to make a move.
before you knew it, you were gripping her wrist and pulling her tight against you. she tried to resist but you didn't let up. the closeness of her body, the heat of her breath, was making you light-headed. the smell of her perfume was intoxicating. your breath was short and hard as you stared into her eyes, and you couldn't help but wonder what would happen if you kissed her.
“don't look at me like that,” she breathed, her voice low and hoarse. you noticed that she was blushing ever so slightly.
"like what?" you whispered back, your breath tickling her skin, making her feel hot and flustered.
"like you want me," she mumbled quietly, a hint of uncertainty in her voice, her breath teasing your skin.
“who said i did?” you replied nonchalantly, trying to resist the urge to lean in and press your lips against her.
she leaned in slightly closer, her lips just a few centimetres from yours and whispered, “i know you want to.” a few seconds passed in uneasy silence as the tension built between the two of you, the heat from her hand on your neck making you weak.
"fuck it," you muttered under your breath, finally giving in and pressing your lips against hers.
her eyes fluttered shut as you made contact, responding to your kiss as if her life depended on it. she slid her hands to the sides of your face, her fingers threading through your hair and holding you against her. the kiss was bruising and intense as your hearts pounded against each other. your hands found their way to the small of her back, drawing her nearer as you lightly nibbled on her lower lip. it felt like an eternity before you pulled away, both of your breaths laboured, foreheads resting against each other.
“i fucking hate you,” you whispered, peering into her eyes, her grip on your face still firm.
“i hate you more,” she murmured back, almost petulantly, before pulling you into another passionate kiss.
as your lips melded together, she smoothly moved her hands down to your waist, skillfully guiding you to perch on top of the drawer. almost instinctively, you parted your legs, coaxing her to stand right between them. her hands travelled up to your upper thighs, gripping them firmly as her lips trailed a path along your neck, planting open-mouthed kisses all the way to the sensitive skin beneath your ear.
every fibre of your being screamed to touch her, to feel her everywhere. in a desperate attempt to do so, your fingers instinctively traced the outline of her jeans' waistband, gripping it and pulling her closer while wrapping your legs around her. a soft moan escaped your lips as you felt a bulge pressing against your center.
sensing your arousal, she seized one of your wrists, guiding it to her bulge, placing your hand directly over it and giving a good squeeze. "you like that?" she husked, a smirk playing at her lips. you could only respond with a breathless sigh.
encouraged by your reaction, she returned her hands to your upper thighs, holding them even more firmly as she pulled you against her bulge with deliberate, slow motions against your clothed center.
“mmh-” you moaned as you slid your hands under her shirt, fingers digging into her toned abdomen, leaving marks as you held on tight.
her lips captured yours once again, in a slower but equally intense kiss as before. the rhythm of her hips matched the pace of the kiss, her movements deliberate yet forceful against you. as your left fingertips continued to graze her abdomen, your right hand began to tease her chest, slipping beneath her bra. a soft groan escaped her lips at the contact, sending vibrations against your mouth.
growing a little desperate, she paused for a moment, eliciting a groan from you. sliding her hands to your waistline, she started unbuttoning and unzipping your jeans. equally eager, you assisted her by shedding your jeans and letting them cascade to the floor. at the same time, she undid her own jeans, allowing them to pool around her ankles, revealing her standing in nothing but dark red boxers, a strap peeking out.
drawing closer again, she didn't immediately resume her previous movements. instead, she lowered her face and gently rested her left temple against your cheek, her gaze fixated on the silhouette of your lower body.
her hands found a resting place on your thighs, softly caressing the spots where she had left gripping red marks just moments ago. each warm breath against the side of your neck intensified the pulsating sensation at your center. slowly, her hands traveled upward, reaching the hem of your panties, fingers slipping beneath. her index finger played with the fabric, pulling and letting it slap against your skin. the sound echoed slightly denser than cotton, catching her attention. as her fingers lingered against your pelvis, she slowly traced her thumb across the warmth and moisture of your clothed center.
“fuck, you’re so wet…” she whispered against your skin, her eyebrows furrowing, almost whimpering at the thought of being responsible of turning you on like this.
unconsciously, your hips began to move, your center yearning for more than just a lingering touch, but she held back. in your desperation, you pressed her against you with your legs, a sudden move that prompted her to place her hand on the wall for balance. she chuckled at your desperation, and you moaned at the contact of her hard length flush against your wetness.
"okay, okay," she said with a smirk, yielding to your silent pleas as she planted a small kiss on your cheek.
her fingers deftly slid to the hem of your panties, pulling them down and letting them join your discarded jeans. following suit, she lowered her boxers, allowing them to fall gracefully to her ankles.
her body drew closer to yours once more, but this time, one of her hands held her cock, while the other rested on your hip, unconsciously caressing your skin with her thumb. you felt yourself melting into another kiss, her mouth was warm, but her tongue was even hotter, exploring every inch of your mouth.
your breath hitched as you felt the tip of her strap tracing circles around your clit, and a loud groan escaped you as she rubbed her length against your wet folds, maintaining its stiffness with her grip.
“just put it in already,” you pleaded, the sensations in your core becoming too overwhelming to bear.
shauna's lips curled into a sly smile as she met your gaze. "good things come to those who wait," she quipped as her mouth found its way back to yours once again.
“whatever, shakespeare,” you breathed out as she continued to tease you, her length slipping against you due to your wetness.
“that was actually violet fane, a british au—”
“yeah, yeah, shut the fuck up,” you groaned, annoyed at the teasing. you couldn't take it anymore, you slapped her hand away, taking her girth in your hand, surprising her and causing her to lose her balance once more. pulling her closer by it, you aligned her tip with your entrance. she smirked, finding your sudden dominance hot, and she didn't stop you as you used your legs to push her against you, feeling her cock slowly entering and stretching your walls.
your head fell back as she bottomed out inside you, her strap-on so large that you could feel it pressing against your cervix. you slid your hands to her shoulders, gripping her tightly, and she hugged you by the waist, so close that you could feel each other's heartbeats. shauna's fingers wrapped around your hair, gently tugging your face to the side and exposing your soft neck to her mouth. she traced her lips down your neck, her tongue exploring your skin with each kiss. her breaths brushed along your skin as she nibbled at your earlobe and planted teasing little bites along your jawline. with her other hand firmly on your hip, she slowly shifted her hips back and then bottomed out again, falling into a steady rhythm. a soft groan escaped her lips as she felt the strap's rigid back massaging her throbbing clit.
your eyebrows furrowed, and soft moans escaped your lips, lost in the intoxication of her kisses and the steady friction of her length against your tight walls. your hands tightened their grip around her toned shoulders.
shauna lifted her face from your slightly swollen and moist neck, peering into your half-lidded eyes. “you okay?” she asked with tenderness, her voice low and raspy, her fingers gently caressing the side of your head.
"look at you, who would've thought that all you needed to become a softie was to get laid,” you teased, meeting her gaze and sliding your hands from her shoulders to around her neck, biting down a smile.
she breathed out a chuckle, rolling her eyes. “i’m not a softie, i was just being nice,” she grunted while slowing down her movements.
“i know, i’m just fucking with you,” you said, “i’m okay,” you added, giving her a soft smile to let her know you appreciated her concern.
just as she was resuming her rhythm, you both were interrupted by a glimpse of movement through the slight slit of the closet door. someone was walking past. a moment of frozen silence passed as you both tried to remain still. the person's footsteps faded as they continued down the stairs. you breathed out softly and relaxed, exchanging a glance with shauna.
“shit, that was close,” she whispered, exhaling sharply and slowly letting go of your hair, her other hand still resting gently on your hip.
"yeah, too close," you murmured quietly. “let's just stay silent,” you suggested.
“good luck with that,” she replied cheekily before giving you a quick kiss on the lips. she moved both hands down to the middle of your thighs, opening your legs wide and holding them in that position with her palms.
with her thick cock still inside you, but unmoving, she teasingly slid one of her hands towards your center and started to slowly toy with and pinch your swollen clit with her thumb.
“oh, fu—” you began, but she quickly hushed you with her lips, giving you a deep, bruising tongue kiss.
her calloused thumb continued drawing incessant circles around your throbbing nub. by the time your legs started twitching, indicating your urge to close them together, she swiftly returned her hand to its original position on your thigh, keeping them wide open, and began thrusting into you with harsh movements.
despite the tightness of your walls, her cock slid smoothly in and out, coated with your abundant wetness. her hot center pulsed with each firm thrust, pressing against her clitoris. she penetrated you so deeply that you could almost see your belly skin pushing from the outside. each time her tip pushed onto your sensitive spot, your eyes rolled back, and both your moans were muffled by her tongue, which melted against yours.
your arms were wrapped so tightly around her neck that you were almost choking her, your lungs desperate for air but unwilling to let go of her. she momentarily let go of your legs, lifting the white shirt under her flannel and tucking half of it behind her head to keep it out of the way. resuming her rapid thrusts, you could now feel the toned skin of her lower abdomen slapping against your clitoris with each motion.
“enjoying yourself?” she asked breathlessly with a half-smile, her mouth finding its way back to yours once more.
you could only manage a muffled response, unable to form words. you placed your hands under her bra and began to play with her nipples, squeezing her breasts as you pinched them between your fingers.
“mmh– that feels good,” she husked out, prompting you to pinch her nipples even harder. her movements started to get sloppy, but it felt so good that she was trying her hardest not to cum yet. she removed her hands from your thighs, instead, holding you closer by resting one hand against the top of the drawer next to your thigh, and the other one pushing you closer by wrapping it around your lower back.
you tried to help her by matching her rhythm, moving your hips against hers. sliding your hands to her back, you held her by the shoulder blades for stability. once you had a good grip, you increased your pace against her.
nuzzling her face against the crook of your neck, she maintained her relentless pace. the room echoed with the sounds of her grunts and the slapping of skin as she pounded as hard as she could. it didn't take long before both of you reached climax. with one final, deep thrust, you felt her faux white cum filling you up, and you both rode out your orgasms together. she softly collapsed on top of you, her weight keeping you pressed against the drawer.
loosening your strong hold on her shoulders, you now held her gently as both of you caught your breath.
after a few moments of silence, she gently disengaged from the embrace and stood upright. "we should probably get back now…" she said, her voice still a little hoarse from all the grunting.
“right,” you replied softly. with that, you slowly got up, stretching out the discomfort in your hips and back. you both dressed in silence and once you were both finished, shauna opened the closet door, motioning for you to go out first.
“looks like chivalry isn’t dead,” you joked awkwardly, making her smile.
the both of you made your way downstairs, and she couldn’t help but notice the way you walked, slowly and a little clumsily, causing her to chuckle. upon reaching the bottom, a round of applause greeted you, courtesy of lottie, van, and nat, who were comfortably seated on the couches directly in front of you.
“and now,” van declared, her red cup serving as an improvised megaphone, “i present to everyone the official champions of seven minutes in heaven!” she glanced at lottie, who was busy checking her watch. “breaking the previous record of…” van paused dramatically.
“forty-five minutes and thirty-eight seconds,” lottie declared, raising her eyebrows in genuine surprise.
you rolled your eyes at them, trying to hold back the smile tugging at your lips. “like you didn’t sit in that circle just to get into laura lee’s celibate ass pants,” you retorted to lottie.
“fine,” lottie admitted with a grin, “but let’s not forget who willingly spent over half an hour in the closet with their mortal nemesis,” she defended herself.
van, still using her red cup as a makeshift megaphone, leaned forward with a mischievous grin. "so, shauna, was it everything you dreamed of, or should we recommend a more skilled partner next time?"
shauna narrowed her eyes slightly at van's playful snark. in the past, she would’ve likely scoffed and rolled her eyes in response, but now, there was a hint of amusement lurking behind them.
"she was okay," she replied nonchanlantly, a smirk on her face as she shot a teasing glance at you. "she's not so bad when she keeps her mouth shut," she joked, making everyone laugh in surprise.
“okay,” you interjected, feeling a bit sheepish with a blush on your face, “i’m heading to the kitchen for some water,” you announced before striding away.
you heard van's voice crackle on with her red cup, "we want all the details later!" she shouted, causing the whole group to burst into laughter, making you grin with embarrassment.
as you made your way towards the kitchen, the party noise faded into the background. you grabbed a glass of water, and while you took a much-needed sip, you heard footsteps approaching.
shauna joined you by the sink, grabbing a glass of water and taking a sip before turning to look at you. her eyes met yours and lingered for a moment before she spoke.
"so," she began as she leaned against the counter, “jeff’s taking jackie home tonight. do you need a lift home?” she asked, her big eyes staring at you attentively.
“oh, don’t worry about it,” you stammered nervously, “i can just tag along with lottie or tai.”
“i don’t mind, really,” she insisted, her dark eyes lingering on your lips before meeting your gaze again. you felt your heart pounding in your chest. the way she was looking at you was making it hard to think straight, and your body was getting all warm and tingly.
“well–“ you began, but before you knew it, she approached you and gently took hold of your chin. drawing you closer, her lips met yours. they were tender yet firm, and your breath was steady as you whispered, “i wouldn’t mind either.”
you allowed her to lead the kiss, her tongue making deliberate moves between your lips. her hands cradled the back of your head, fingers entwining in your hair as she drew her body closer to yours.
a soft whimper escaped you, arms wrapping around her waist. the heat inside you intensified as your bodies pressed together. her tongue explored your mouth, breath growing heavy as she tugged at the hem of your shirt. shauna lifted her leg slightly, wrapping her thigh around yours to pull you even closer. urgency filled her movements, her pulse quickening, and her breath became shallow. suddenly, she pulled away, looking up. “maybe we should go,” she whispered, her breath catching momentarily as her heart thumped against her chest.
“yeah, we should,” you mumbled, still dazed by the intensity of the kiss. your brain was foggy, struggling to process what had just happened.
exiting the party, the two of you strolled towards the car. shauna opened the front seat’s door and motioned for you to get in. you took a quick glance at the other guests, but luckily, none of your friends seemed to be paying attention to you two. you climbed into the passenger seat, and shauna closed the door behind you.
it was quiet inside the car, only shauna’s soft music played. she glanced your way from time to time, a teasing glint in her big eyes. you couldn’t help but notice her gaze, and a smile crept across your face as your heart beat faster. each exchange seemed to thicken the air, causing your cheeks to burn.
approaching your destination, shauna slowed down. the road became dark outside the car, the streetlights casting a dim glow over the pavement, which turned into the driveway. she brought the car to a halt and turned to face you. you sat there, waiting for her to say something, but neither one of you spoke. her big dark eyes were fixed on yours, her expression soft and curious.
"um, so…" you mumbled, looking down for a moment before meeting her gaze again. “thanks for the ride,” you said.
"yeah, anytime," she replied softly, her eyes lingering on yours a moment longer before refocusing on the road ahead. taking a deep breath, she cleared her throat, adjusting her grip on the wheel as you reached for the door handle.
"wait," shauna intervened before you could open the door. gently grabbing your arm, she turned you towards her. warm eyes locked onto yours, and her breath seemed to catch as she sought the right words. you couldn't help but notice the soft, delicate features of her face and the way her eyes seemed to glimmer with affection. "i was wondering…" she began, her voice soft and unsure. the tension in the air heightened as her words hung there. "can i call you sometime?" her voice was barely a whisper, and her gaze seemed shy.
"i- yeah, of course," you replied softly, feeling your heart skip a beat as you gave her a soft smile. you had never imagined this kind of interaction with her, but now that it was happening, it felt right.
"how about this weekend?" she asked with a hopeful smile.
"yeah, i'd like that," you responded, giving her a gentle nod. shauna's face lit up, and she gently squeezed your hand before unlocking the car doors.
exiting the car, you bid shauna goodnight and made your way into your house, the sound of her car fading as you closed the front door behind you. racing upstairs, you burst into your room and leaped onto your bed, burying your face in the pillow.
you lay there for a few minutes with our heart was racing, feeling butterflies fluttering all over as you replayed the night’s events in your head.
finally, you rolled over onto your back, allowing yourself a moment to catch your breath. however, your peace was soon interrupted by a tapping sound at your window.
you sat up immediately, surprised by the sudden noise. you cautiously walked toward it to check what it was.
as you got closer to the window, you could see shauna, leaning against the fence below it, her hands stuffed in the pockets of her jacket. you noticed that her face was upturned to your direction, eyes fixed on you, her breath fogging the glass.
without thinking twice, you scrambled to open the window. "what are you doing here?" you asked, meeting her eyes.
for a moment, she didn't respond, her cheeks flushed and her breathing steadying. yet, her gaze remained focused on you, and her mouth had curled into a small smile. "i wanted to see you one more time before the night is over," she answered, her voice soft. "mind if i come up?" she added.
you replied instantly, "yeah, sure, come on up."
as she climbed the exterior walls of your house, you took a deep breath and opened the window wide enough for her to enter. upon reaching the window frame, she met your gaze, your faces inches apart.
"you could have just knocked on the front door, you know?" you teased, biting down a smile.
shauna shrugged, feeling a little embarrassed. "can't a girl be romantic anymore?" she quipped with a smirk.
"oh, is that what this is?" you mocked, giving her a teasing look. "you breaking into my window in the middle of the night? romantic would’ve been knocking on the front door with flowers."
"i don't know, climbing up the building, clinging to a fence, and sneaking into your window seemed pretty romantic to me," shauna replied with a smirk, her hands gripping the window edges.
"shauna, i live in a one-story house," you chuckled softly.
"well, my point still stands," she playfully retorted, rolling her eyes at you. "and your windows are abnormally high, my arms are aching," she added.
“oh, sorry,” you said, stepping aside for her to enter.
"it’s fine," she replied, stepping inside. however, her footing slipped, and she tumbled onto you, sending both of you into laughter as you landed on the floor.
you sensed her warm breath near your neck, her hair gently brushing against your face. your bodies were close, and her arms wrapped around your waist. you couldn't help but notice how close she was, and how good she felt against you. her deep eyes looked up at you, her lips forming a slight smile. gazing back at her, you timidly slid your hand across the floor until it found hers, intertwining your fingers. she locked her hands with yours, and both of you held the gaze for what seemed like an eternity.
"can i kiss you?" she whispered, her eyes searching yours for the answer.
your heart raced, and your blood rushed through your veins.
"yes," you replied softly, and she leaned in, placing her hands on your cheeks as her lips met yours.
your lips parted as she kissed you softly, her lips tender and soft. it was nothing like the fierce way she had kissed you at the party. her tongue explored your mouth with deft and practiced movements, and as you pulled her closer, she leaned into you, holding you tightly.
as you pulled away, your lips were aching to feel her again. “stay the night?” you asked her.
her soft, dark eyes locked onto yours, her breath quickened and her cheeks flushed slightly. you held each other's gaze until she finally spoke.
"i’d love that."

Hii! If its no trouble then could I get a zoro and reader fic where shes naturally clingy but he's the complete opposite and always brushes her clinginess off?? And she get sad/insecure abt it so she stops being clingy towards him and he gets jealous and boom!fluff!! Maybe shes still clingy towards the rest of the crew? Thankss!
Hii, i love this request! I was thinking in smth similiar, thanks <3
i hope u like it!
characters: Roronoa zoro (opla)
Since the first day you met Luffy's crew (you were the last one to join), they noticed you were clingy. Ussop and Luffy were okay cause they love love so free hugs from you after a bad day? Hell yeah! , Sanji loves everything that comes from a woman, so he liked you right away, with Nami it was a little hard at first, but it only took you a few weeks to make your way through her heart, after all, you were her only girl friend, and Zoro, that green-haired man, let's just say it's complicated, you'll be all over him and he'll always complain but he never actually move you away, and the times when he did it, he'll be so nice to you that it'll actually make you be closer to him.
But everything changed since last night when all of you were drinking in a bar, you always admired how much Zoro could drink without getting drunk meanwhile you, with only two drinks, were already dizzy. You're aware that you're being too clingy with Zoro right now, but that's your love language, you're better with actions than words. As you sit by his side, you're touching his fingers from his left hand. First, you start touching carefully, it felt like the breeze, soft and almost like it wasn't there. At some point, you think he's drunk 'cause he didn't say or do anything. He just keeps drinking without looking at you. So this courage you and after a deep breath, you grabbed his hand placing it over your lap, you took a sip from your drink, trying to act indifferent. You sense his body tensing up and you know you shouldn't have grabbed his hand.
“Can't you stop being clingy? I don't want you touching me” Then, he removes his hand from your grip.
You froze for a second, you don't know how to react, it's the first time he snaps at you for your touch. You clear your throat, unsure of what to say, you're feeling a mix of feelings and none of them are good, “I- I'm gonna get another beer” with tears in your eyes, you don't wait for an answer, you practically run away from him, the bar is crowded so you hide between them, you don't want him to see you like this, see how much it affects you his words.
You're glad that your friends aren't there, they sure would pity you and that's the last thing you need right now.
Maybe I made him uncomfortable? I crossed a line?
There were a lot of questions in your mind but you had your answer when you lifted your eyes from the ground, back to him, seeing him with a girl sitting where you were just a few minutes ago. She's flirting with him, you can tell by the way she's rubbing his shoulder, you don't stand watching this scene, he practically snapped at you but he was fine with a girl he just met? Idiot.
You left the bar before seeing how Zoro pushes the girl aside, stands up and starts looking for you.
The next day, you walked straight to Zoro's room, it was your routine, you'll wake him up to train together, but after last night you feel insecure.
Should I give him space?
Hesitating, your fist never touches his door, instead, you turn yourself, heading to the front of the ship. You decided to train alone, you start throwing punches into the air, but it's not the same without Zoro.
“Hey, want a partner?” Your head spins faster to the voice thinking is Zoro, but for your disappointment isn't. “Only if you can block my moves” A smile finally cross your face. “Oh, you bet I can!” His cheerful voice always lifts your mood.
Meanwhile, Zoro was in his hammock, hoping you would show up at his room to wake him up, as you always do. Five, ten minutes and nothing, you aren't there. The memories from last night hit him, he knows he fucked up but if you knew the truth about his behavior, would you laugh at him?
He made his way through the ship, hearing your laugh, his heart skipped a beat, he rushed towards you, only stopping when he's a few steps away from you, watching how the sun shone on your skin, making you glow, he's stunning by your beauty. He keeps watching you training with Luffy, he wishes it was him with you, to touch you, to see your brightly smile, to be close to you. He wouldn't admit but he's feeling a little jealous of his captain right now, he sighed and walked away, this was his fault after all.
Later that day, Zoro is cleaning one of his swords, is peaceful, too peaceful, he misses your voice, every time the two of you are bored, he will clean his swords and you'll lean your head a little bit on his shoulder, he'll complain but he won't try to move you, not like he did in the bar. You'll be there by his side reading one of your many books, sometimes you'll read to him, and he loved every second.
But every time you crossed paths with Zoro, you ignored him, as if he didn't exist and this hurt Zoro's heart, he knew he deserved it so he let you be. But how much can he endure? How much does he need to suffer?
The sound of your laugh brings him out of his thoughts, his eyes instantly look for you, and he sees your figure with someone else- it's Nami. You're sitting on the ground of the ship with her, laughing at something she said, her head resting in your lap while you brush her hair. His eyes widened, what the fuck?
He clenched his fists, he thinks for a second about going to yell at Nami to stay away from you, you're supposed to only touch his hair not hers. Zoro took a deep breath reminding himself this was his fault and, maybe, it's better for you to stay away from him, then you won't be in danger.
“Dinner's ready!” Sanji's voice echoed through the walls and a few seconds later the kitchen was full with all the crew, everyone has their designated seat, Luffy next to Nami, Sanji will stay in the kitchen, Usopp in front of Luffy and Nami, in another situation, you and Zoro would sit together, in a corner, to talk- well, you talking and Zoro listening and sometimes making some comments. Now, you were sitting next to Usopp, too close to him for Zoro's liking.
If everyone noticed your change of place no one said anything, and you were glad 'cause you didn't have the energy to explain to them why Zoro disliked you so much, even when you didn't even know why.
The dinner passed quickly, all the time you were chatting with Usopp, both of you exchanging stories of your adventures before joining Luffy's crew. He kept you so immersed in the conversation that you forgot, for a moment, your problem with Zoro.
After dinner, you went to the main deck, the stars were already in the sky, shining so bright that the view was beautiful. The sea breeze was cold, making your body shake, with nothing on you to cover your body, you embraced yourself.
“If you want, I can hit Zoro for you, you know that, right?” Sanji's voice startled you, he was behind you, and he put his jacket over your shoulders without asking. “Don't know what are you talking about” You played dumb not facing him. “So you aren't mad at him for dating—” “HE'S DATING SOMEONE?” You turned so fast that you crashed into Sanji's arms. He quirked an eyebrow “Caught you” Your face was flushed, how could you fall for something so stupid?
Unbeknownst to you, someone further away has been watching all. Zoro went after you when dinner was over, he wanted to talk to you and apologize but someone had beaten him to it. He couldn't recognize who the person was so he waited, but when you were in Sanji's arms, his world stopped, he didn't think twice before rushing toward you. When Zoro was near you, you didn't notice him, but Sanji did, with a mischievous smile he leaned his face closer to yours.
Then you felt a strong arm on your waist pulling you to their chest. You felt the muscles on your back, you had felt it before when you had fallen asleep over him. Your legs turning to jelly, if it wasn't for his thigh grip, you would be on the floor.
The cook has a smug smile on his face “If you hurt her again, I'll kick your ass, Roronoa” he left walking back to the kitchen.
Zoro doesn't waste time and takes the jacket off your shoulders, and he hugs you by your waist. And you're shocked. You're feeling a lot of emotions. You tried to fight back, to break his grip but he only hugged you tighter. You give up, turning your body to face him, your arms around him, your face in his chest, hearing his heartbeat. You left yourself enjoying being in his arms for a moment but you remember the words he said to you last night. The way he broke your heart and he was here, hugging you like nothing happened.
You're mad, you hit hard his chest, making him step back. Your lips are trembling, “You have no right to say I'm clingy and then come here and hug me as If you care about me” you look so vulnerable that Zoro doesn't know what to do. You waited for an answer or an apology but nothing came out of his mouth, this upset you.
“I'm sorry” He whispered so low that you aren't sure if you heard it. Taking a deep breath, Zoro's ready to get you back.
“I'm sorry but every time you touch me, I melted under your touch, and that scared me 'cause I didn't want to become too attached to it, but today, when you were ignoring me and hanging out with the others, I feel so jealous even if you were only near them, then I realized that I want you, more than a friend,” tears are falling down your cheeks, “And when we're in fight with other pirates, they seem to notice how I care about you, how worry I'm for you, because they always threaten me telling that they'll hurt you,” Zoro brings his hands to your face, wiping away your tears, “and that makes me lose my temper, that's why I snapped at you last night, I thought It'll keep you away from danger, but after being without you today, I realized that I need you more than anything” using his thumb to swipe slowly across your lower lip, he leans closer to you, you close your eyes and you feel it, his lips are softer that you ever imagined, your body is no longer shaking, now you're feeling warm and it feels good, it feel perfect.
The two of you break the kiss to catch your breath, “Fuck, can we do that again?” He whispers against your lips. You pull him into another kiss, smiling.

dad to the rescue - christian pulisic
summary: when Y/N and Christian's daughter is frightened of the doctor, Christian comes to the rescue to calm her fears
pairing: Christian Pulisic x reader
word count: 2.0k
warnings/tags: descriptions of a doctor's office, needles/injections, anxiety, lots and lots of fluff
requested: no
notes: Hey y'all! I've been feeling pretty uninspired recently, but I have more time to right now that school is out. So I decided to rewrite this old fic that I wrote several years ago for another fandom to try to get the creativity flowing! So if you read a fic similar to this for someone else years ago, no you didn't. It's definitely not my favorite thing that I've written, but hopefully, it'll get the ball rolling!
Tumblr media
“Mommy, I don’t like the doctor. It’s scary,” Lily whimpered as you helped her climb out of her car seat and onto the pavement.
You glanced nervously over at Christian, pleading silently for his help. You were naturally a nervous person—a trait that was dialed up to 11 when it came to your daughter. You were just as terrified, if not more so, than your daughter for this visit. Knowing that she was scheduled to receive an injection, you had convinced Christian to take the day to leave training early and accompany the two of you to the appointment—he always knew how to help in these situations.
“It’s gonna be okay, sweetheart. You’ve got Mommy and Daddy here with you, and…” He trailed off, squatting down so that he was on her level, and he loudly whispered, “I hear they have toys in the waiting room!”
Lily’s face brightened instantly at his words. “D’you want to go find out?” he asked her excitedly, and Lily nodded her head quickly. Christian sprung to his feet, and the two of them raced to the door, hand-in-hand, squealing giddily as I watched them with a huge smile spreading across my face.
Christian pulled open one of the doors, letting Layla speed through and waiting behind to hold it open for me to walk through. He gestured for you to pass, muttering a short, “m’lady,” as you walked through, causing you to giggle and roll your eyes at him.
Lily was inside, trying her hardest to pull open the second set of doors, but it was too heavy for her small self. You reached forward, pulling lightly on the door, and she gasped, thinking she had finally gotten the door to budge on her own, before racing through and straight into the waiting room.
Christian followed in behind you, placing a gentle hand on your lower back. You spun around, pulling him toward you with a firm grip on his shirt and planted a long, firm kiss on his lips. When you pulled away, he had a massive grin on his face.
“What was that for?” he asked, still smirking down at you.
“No reason in particular,” you shrugged, holding back a grin of your own.
“Well, whatever I did, I should do it more often,” he leaned down, pecking your lips once again.
You swatted his chest, gently pushing him away. “You have a daughter in there that has been promised toys and playtime, so you better join her. I’ll sign her in,” you said, pointing to the door of the waiting room.
“Yes ma’am,” he retorted with a short salute, and you punched his shoulder. “Okay, okay, I’m going!” He grinned from ear to ear as he quickly joined Lily in the waiting room.
You turned around, heading to the front desk to sign in and receiving a clipboard with paperwork to fill out.
You sat in the waiting room, occupying your time by filling out the papers and occasionally glancing up to watch your husband and daughter playing enthusiastically with the toy cars. You couldn't help but smile as Christian made motor noises and loud honking sounds with his mouth as he wheeled the cars across the playmat toward Lily.
Before long, a nurse came to the door, sweetly calling out, “Lilian Pulisic?” even though the three of you were the only ones there.
“That’s us!” Christian smiled, standing from the floor and taking Lily’s hand, sensing that her nerves had quickly returned with the appearance of the nurse. As he led her over to the nurse, the fear was back on her face as she clung tightly to his arm, but she seemed to be slightly more confident as she walked with him.
The nurse weighed her and measured her height. Lily jumped up and down when the nurse told her that she’d grown 3 inches in the last year. After taking a few more measurements, the nurse led your little family into a small exam room and let you know that the doctor would be there soon.
You and Christian sat down in the chairs as you watched Lily wander the room, pointing out the various animals painted along the walls of the room. You pulled Christian’s hand into your lap, intertwining your fingers with his and gripping it tightly. Your worry for your daughter had quickly returned as you sat down in the hard, plastic chairs, and Christian sensed this, beginning to run his thumb over the back of your hand in an effort to soothe you.
A few minutes later, a young female doctor walked in, stethoscope hanging around her neck and computer in hand. Christian lifted Lily to sit on the exam table before settling back into his seat next to you.
“Hello there! You must be Lilian!” the doctor greeted warmly. “Do you go by Lilian?”
Lily remained silent, glancing nervously over at you with wide eyes.
“Go on, it’s okay,” Christian encouraged her softly.
She looked back at the doctor, replying with a quiet, “My name’s Lily.”
“Oh wow! Your name is so beautiful!” the doctor said excitedly, and a small smile appeared on Lily’s face. “Well, my name is Dr. Jones, but you can call me Anna.” Lily giggled and you could tell that she was already warming up to the doctor.
The appointment continued normally and Lily grew confident enough to answer most of the questions on her own, which caused your heart to swell with pride. Anna only turned to you and Christian to get more precise answers about Lily’s eating and sleeping habits.
Anna listened to her heart, took her blood pressure, and checked over every part of Lily’s body, from her head to her toes. Lily laughed especially hard when Anna looked in her ears (she told you between giggles that it tickles) and when she used the mallet on Lily’s leg to check her reflexes.
“Alright, we’ve just got one more thing to do and then you can go home!” Anna said as the appointment seemed to be coming to its end. “I see we’re scheduled for a vaccine today?” she asked, glancing at you and Christian for confirmation.
“Alright, so what we’re gonna do, is we’re gonna give you a little shot right here,” she explained, drawing a small circle on Lily’s left arm. “I know that sounds really scary, but it’ll feel like a little pinch, and then it’ll be over, okay?” Lily seemed a little uncertain, but otherwise fine. Anna left, but not before explaining that the nurse from before would be back in shortly and giving Lily a high five on her way out the door.
Just moments later, the nurse returned, carrying a tray with some alcohol swabs and a needle on it. The moment Lily laid eyes on the tray, she began to panic.
“Mommy, I don’t want a shot,” she cried, the tears quickly welling up in her eyes and spilling down her cheeks. You jumped up from your chair as she reached out for you, rushing to her side and hugging her tightly as she cried.
It hurt you to see her this scared. You swallowed the lump in your throat, doing your best to speak softly and calmly to her. “Shh, baby, it’s okay. You heard Dr. Jones! It’s just a small pinch and then it’s over. You can do this!”
Your words seemed to do nothing to calm Lily nerves, and she whimpered, pulling you closer by the fabric of your shirt.
You felt Christian’s hand on your back, telling you that he was standing just behind you. He placed a quick kiss on your cheek, whispering in your ear, “Here, let me.”
You stepped back, watching as Christian sat on the table next to Lily, holding your shaking daughter as she clung tightly to him. He shrugged the jacket he was wearing from his shoulders, pulling the short sleeve of his T-shirt up and over his left shoulder.
“Hey, look here,” he spoke soothingly to Lily, holding out his tattooed arm for her to look at. She slowly looked away from the nurse, who was preparing for the shot. “Tell me all of the things you see on my arm.”
Lily sniffled, wiping her nose on her sleeve, but her crying seemed to be slowing down now. She ran her small hand along his arm, trying to find something.
“There’s a tiger,” she spoke slowly. Christian turned his arm so that she could see the face of the tiger more clearly.
“Very good!” Christian exclaimed, and a small smile appeared on Lily’s face. “Now try to find something else.” He glanced at you as she continued looking, shooting you a quick smile before returning his attention back to his little girl.
Lily jumped as the nurse wiped her arm with the cold alcohol swab, her focus leaving Christian’s arm as the fear in her eyes returned.
“It’s okay. She’s just cleaning your arm,” Christian explained sweetly. “Keep looking.”
“S-some letters,” she stuttered, pointing at Christian’s wrist. He nodded with a short “mhm.” Her fingers trailed up to Christian’s shoulder. “A bird.” She brushed her fingers across his skin, down the inside of his arm. “And that’s Mike.” A short giggle fell from her lips as she reached the tattoo of the one-eyed, green monster from Monsters Inc., a movie that she had watched many times with her father.
Christian noticed the nurse uncapping the needle, and he moved to point out something else so Lily would remain distracted. He flipped his arm over, pointing to the chess piece on his forearm. “And this here is a chess piece. It’s called the queen.” Lily tapped the inked game piece with her fingers, clueless to the movements of the nurse next to her.
As the nurse put the needle in her arm, Lily whimpered quietly. She gripped Christian’s arm tightly in her small fingers, clamping her eyes shut as she let out a small cry.
But the shot was over as quickly as it had started.
“It’s over,” Christian spoke to her, kissing the top of her head while she still held tightly to his arm. Lily looked up at his face, and Christian's heart tightened a little as he wiped the tear streaks away with his thumb. “You’re okay, sweetie. We’re all done.”
The nurse put a bandage on Lily’s shoulder as Christian slipped his arms back into his jacket.
Soon enough, we were dismissed from the room, and Lily reached out for Christian to pick her up. She lifted her arms into the air toward him, wiggling her fingers with droopy eyes—clearly exhausted from the whole ordeal. She was barely awake enough in his arms to pick out a sticker before dropping her head onto his shoulder as you signed her out.
The three of you walked out the front doors of the office and to the car. Christian carefully shuffled the small girl out of his arms and into her car seat as you held the door open. Lily had managed to fall fast asleep in the time it took to reach the car.
You closed the door gently, attempting to keep from waking her up. You softly pushed Christian into the side of the car, resting your hands on both of his cheeks as you planted a firm kiss to his lips.
When you pulled back, Christian had a confused but pleased grin on his face.
“You’re incredible. You know that?” you asked as you felt his arms snake around your waist, pulling you further into his body.
“You really think so?”
You nodded in response. “You have such a way with her. I would’ve absolutely been freaking out along with her.”
He quickly kissed you again, a mischievous smile on his lips. “You know,” he started slowly, his smile only growing as he spoke. “We could always have another one.”
“Now you’re getting ahead of yourself, Pulisic,” you laughed, pulling away from him and beginning to walk around the car to get in on the passenger side. He reached to try to slap your butt as you walked away, but you jumped out of the way, dodging his hand and causing both of you to giggle as you ran around the car.
You heard him call from the other side of the vehicle. “You didn’t say no!”

Can you do a Bucky barnes x female reader angst based on Call out my name by weekend.....
Like Bucky and reader used to date and reader have been with Bucky in ugly times but he leaves her for someone else...
But reader having a happy ending and Bucky regretting........
By your big fan 🌝
Tumblr media
18+ minors dni
Ex bucky x reader, destroyer chris x reader
That song is sexy as hell. I know this isn't straight up cheating but this smells of Bucket to me. sigh. Okay. Here we go.
You really have been with him through everything. The absolute worst of times, holding him, cradling him, loving him through every nightmare, every breakdown, talking him through every insecurity he feels. You are his safe place, the one place he can cry and sob and be himself with no judgement.
You run your fingers through his hair while rocking him close to your body each night, deprived of sleep just like him but you'd never let him suffer alone.
Until.
He claims he needs a fresh start. The more he's with you, the more he remembers the dark sides of his past. You're special, but you remind him of every moment of weakness he's had. You don't remind him of happiness and hope. When he sees you, he sees the place he goes to cry and he doesn't want that anymore.
He just can't see a future with you.
It's over.
You're struggling to keep it together, your heart in pieces while he's flourishing, learning how to love himself now and be more independent. It's hardly been a few weeks until he has a new girl around. He thinks he's found happiness, there's a part of him that feels oddly hollow. There's something missing. He brushes it off because it'll pass and he's dating someone new anyway. She looks very much like you but that's where the similarities end. He learns that very quickly.
She's not sweet like you.
Not patient like you.
Not loving like you.
Not beautiful like you.
She's not you.
Bucky realizes his mistake very quickly, whatever stupid reasons he had for wanting to break up make 0 sense, he understands that now. He tries to have a conversation with you but it's impossible with the team standing in the way each time he comes by your room. Steve hasn't punched Bucky yet but he's very close to hitting him on the head with his shield if he comes to you one more time.
Bucky went looking for you in every girl he came across and it was never the same. You're all he can think of, and it doesn't stop him from calling you for. You can hear his cries at night, your name falling from his lips when he has a nightmare. He's whimpering and crying, he needs you back, he's so scared but he can't do anything about it, he made his choice when he left you.
He calls you for even when he shouldn't.
"Y/n..."
"What the fuck?!"
"I-
Bucky doesn't even bother correcting himself, simply getting off his newest hookup and putting his clothes back on. He doesn't even hear her screaming at him, truthfully he doesn't care, he can just think of you. He wants to call for you, he wants to be wrapped in your warmth, coming undone for you, making you feel good but it never happens.
When he sees you in Chris's arms, he doesn't know what to do with himself. Your new boyfriend won't let Bucky go near you with a 10 foot pole. He treats you like a princess. Just like you deserve. He's protective over you. He's always by your side.
"I love you sugar" He has you on his motorbike, parked outside the compound, his arms around your waist, trailing kisses down your face to your neck. "My pretty girl"
Bucky freezes seeing you both, seething watching the way his hands are stroking your waist, the waist he used to hold onto, the place only he used to be allowed to touch. When you see Bucky, your heart races. Anxiety takes over. You love your boyfriend but you can't help the new fear that has clouded your brain, a part of you is always scared he might leave just like...
"Baby, look at me" He breaks you out of your trance, his thumbs wiping away the tears you didn't even notice spill down your cheeks. "Sweet heart, I'm here" He holds you close to his chest, he knows everything that happened and he's ready to be patient with you and show you exactly how you deserved to be loved. "It's okay baby, m'not going anywhere"
Bucky hates himself even more because not only did he hurt you but you now also feared people would leave you without warning, just like him. He wants you back, every single day but it never happens.
***
Nothing gets easier, even though a part of him is happy to see you doing better. Much better. You're smiling, laughing, surrounded by the team while you look open presents, giggling at the cute little onsies and baby toys the team has brought for the baby shower. Tony got your little one a tiny custom leather jacket to match his dad. There's a set of tiny silver rings. There are way more toy motorcycles than toy cars.
You're in your own world now, with your husband, a little baby on the way.
The pain he's feeling couldn't be worse.

Alright, let's get this straight. You are praying for the Great Seven, or whatever it is in this TWISTED wonderland, to be transferred away from Pomefiore! (Pure crack content with a lil bit of yan spice~)
No, it's not fun having to do these damn skincare, especially with Vil around you, ready to reprimand you for slacking off! Posture check, outfit check, hairstyle check, fragrance check, dialect check! Rook is sure as hell happy to assist Vil in checking on you! He really should have just let Azul and Kalim fight about who gets to keep you in their dorm.
It feels like Vil is just living beneath your skin like the beautiful parasite he is now, so by all might after punching Crowley right in the guts, he hands you a phone. Well, technically, he's only lending you his spare phone, stingy.
"Aren't I very kin-" Another punch right on his jaw because his beak ass mask will hurt your fist.
Alright, an admission for NRC's dorm, this is it. This is your one and only chance to actually make Crowley agree to transfer you to another dorm.
He sure took his sweet ass time in introducing everything in that stupid voice of his but here comes the moment of truth! Just tap the screen and pray for the best. It's a 1/7 odd and you sure as hell wish you won't be transferred to Heartslabyul. Riddle's name alone is enough to make you think Vil might actually be a better choice here.
Savanaclaw sounds peaceful enough, Leona got that lil Ruggie around after all. Ignihyde is great, you can just be the little introverted ass you are and send some game invitations to Idia and Ortho every now and then.
But of course, Octavinelle is a great option to start. You have a high affinity with those sea mafia and you just have to be careful not getting tricked by their scheming nature.
Scarabia? Great. You got Kalim. He will spoil you rotten and squeal in joy the moment he knows you are transferring. You are not sure about Jamil though, seeing how he has to take care of 2 babies now but he will manage.
Last but not least, Diasomnia. While you do have a great relationship with Malleus and co, Lilia is the real highlight here. You get a friend whom you can actually drag into a fistfight like the good ol'days Lilia misses (does he?). You two are old old, it'll be nice being able to vibe with him more in pulling stunts plus your life there will be made easy by Lilia and Malleus.
So COME NOW! Do not shoot me into Hearslabyul by all means!
A hand takes away your phone before you can see the 2D character appears on the screen. You know damn well which dorm's uniform this is because well, you are wearing it right now.
""I am Pomefiore's dorm leader, Vil Schoenheit."" Uh-oh, not only are you shitting yourself over the 1/7 odd, why are you hearing double? (This really happened. I got Vil's despite trying to transfer them away in my first go.)
""Are you the new student?"" By all means, yes. Ignorance is bliss.
""Hmm? Well, you may have been sorted into Pomefiore in the first one go."" Oh great Seven, in TWO go. Don't look up, don't look up.
""But, you are still very naive."" You admit it, you are naive enough to not include Pomefiore in the 'Do not shoot me into Heartslabyul and Pomefiore by all means!'
Like the brat you are, you close your face with both hands and look up, "Oh my, housewarden Schoenheit, what are you doing here?" If you can't see him, he can't see you.
Well, that is until Rook pulls both your hands away from your face, "My, my, mon chèri, you shouldn't hide your beautiful face from us, do never shy your beauty away as you exist to enchant everyone."
Now you see Vil's feature being graced with a smile yet you can feel just how threatening his aura is right now. You are in a BIG trouble. Not only did the Great Seven grace your prayer of not getting transferred to Heartslabyul, but they also grace you back in this stupid 1/7 odd!
"Let's have a pleasant chat about this, shall we?" And with that, Vil drags you by the collar of your uniform like a stray cat you are, ready to be starved and drenched in cold water.
"Don't worry, I'll share my dinner with you later~" "Really-" "Rook, no."
PS: Turns out the person who alarmed Vil was Rook himself because well, he sees everything that you are doing, whether creepily or thoughtfully? Who knows~ Now you'll just have to hear Vil lecture you again.
PS 2: Epel thoughtfully shared 1/3 of his dinner in exchange for you teaching him how to fight bare-handed like a Savanaclaw.

continuation of this, though not necessarily immediate, and in fact precursor to this. If I write enough parts of the events of this night, eventually it'll coalesce into a coherent fic, right?
Fëanor slammed down the now-empty goblet of his latest rightfully earned apology drink, then narrowed his eyes suspiciously at his latest apologizee, across the table. His vision was wavering around the edges, after most of a bottle of this rich Maiaran vintage all on his own (the table overall was halfway through the third). But the day he was too drunk to glare suspiciously at his half-brother was the day he'd return to Mandos for a neighborly cup of tea.
"Why art thou being so nice to me?" Fëanor demanded. His diction was still crisp, though he could admit that his vocabulary was wavering across millennia.
Fingolfin, not a few cups in himself, rested his chin in his palms and stared back at him with cow-eyed contemplation.
"Am I being nice to you?" he asked philosophically.
"Never mind," Fëanor grumbled. "Now I want to punch you in the face again. Normalcy hast resumed."
"I guess I have been," Fingolfin continued musing as though Fëanor hadn’t spoken. He seemed to be looking straight through Fëanor's head, with those big grey eyes so frustratingly like their father's. "I suppose it's just difficult to be as harsh as I used to be, when I feel like I understand you so well, brother."
Fëanor recoiled upright.
"You know nothing of me." he hissed. (Though he did feel a bit like a petulant half-century to speak so.)
"Don't I?"
Fingolfin looked at him now, with terrible sympathy.
"Did you not hold yourself responsible for the deaths of thousands, including countless loved ones—countless save that you could never not keep count—indeed, do you not still, as you've admitted this night? Did you not race forward alone to challenge the Enemy, confident if not in your victory, then at least in that nobody else had as much of a chance, and if you could end even just your own suffering, it would be worth it? Did you not die in an apogee of burning wrath and utter, utterly helpless despair?"
Carried forward the strength of Fingolfin’s speech, by the currents of wine and truth both flowing so richly this night, and by his own damn vow to do better this time, Fëanor muttered, "I deny none of it."
Fingolfin opened one hand, palm up, to say, Well? Look at me. He raised his chin, for once not contrarily proud, just casting into the lamplight the scars of a crushed neck, which lingered even in this re-incarnated form.
Fëanor reached forward and shoved the third wine bottle toward him, as well-earned tribute and because remembering one's death wasn't pleasant for anyone. Especially when one did so just to disarm querulous kin.
Arafinwë and the girls, thank Eru, were off on the sofa pretending to be absorbed by a new picture of whatever iteration of great-grandchild Arafinwë's eldest's descendants had spawned now. Habit (and the need for a change of topic) made Fëanor think sourly of how he'd lost that contest, too—though, to be perfectly honest, he'd lost that one when the Trees still shone, when exactly one of his seven children showed any interest in having their own.
Still, sour it was. He swiped the remedy of the evening back from Fingolfin and pour himself another goblet, burning and sweet.

Misunderstanding. Part 6
Tumblr media
Warnings- Bit angst, Steve being mean at the beginning. -----------------------------------------------------
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH HIM?!” Steve yelled, storming over and glaring at you.
“I thought you were in danger, but you’re busy sitting cozily next to him! Like I don’t even exist!” He shouts, his anger fuelled by jealousy, more than anything else at that point. “You don’t care about me!” he continued, glaring at you. “Just because you’re mad at me, doesn’t mean you can go off and flirt with someone else!”
“Steve... it's not what it looks like let me explain...” But Steve cuts you off, yelling more profanities.
“I don’t want to hear it! You’re just like every other girl who breaks a guy's heart! As soon as something better comes along, you move on and forget me!” Steve’s jealousy was beginning to spiral out of control. He was furious that you were sitting next to another man, despite not knowing the reason. Steve continued, his words becoming more and more harsh.
“Steve, please just…” Tony tries to explain, but Steve cut him off. “Stay out of this, Stark! This isn’t your business!”
“Just listen to us, Steve…” Natasha tries to interject, but Steve cut her off as well. “I don’t want to hear it, I’m done!”
Steve continues, speaking directly to you now. “I trusted you. I care about you. And you just go and ...” he pauses, “Did you even have feelings for me at all?”
“Steve please” your eyes well up.
The sight of your teary eyes made Steve's heart lurch a little, but his anger still overpowered his emotions. He looked at you, his expression still filled with a mix of fury and pain. “How could you... how could you do this to me?”
Steve's voice softened just a little before he continued, “I loved you.”
Matt, having had enough of Steve's harsh words and assumptions, picked up a brick from the debris around them and hurled it straight at Steve.
Steve was taken by surprise as the brick flew through the air, his eyes widening in shock. Everyone else stood frozen, stunned by the sudden act of defiance. The brick struck Steve on the shoulder, causing him to grunt in pain and stumble back a few steps.
Steve was too stunned to react immediately. He cradled his shoulder, pain radiating from the point of impact. Natasha and Tony looked wide eyed at Matt, their expressions a mix of shock and astonishment.
“Oh my god…you hit him with a brick?” you asked too stunned, with his action. Matt turned to look at you, a hint of a small smirk on his lips as he spoke. “He deserved it,” he said bluntly, his voice firm.
Natasha covered her mouth to hold back a laugh, while Tony looked at Matt with new found respect, though he would not accept that.
Steve glared at Matt with pure anger, cradling his shoulder which was likely to bruise soon. “You...I'll kill you-” Steve started to take a step forward, ready to punch Matt.
“Take one more step forward and we all will die!” Nat warns him. Steve froze, his face twisted in anger, fists clenched and ready to strike. But Natasha's words stopped him dead in his tracks. He knew she wasn't bluffing, no matter how angry he was.
His eyes darted between you, Matt, and Natasha. His frustration was evident as he knew there was nothing, he could do without endangering everyone. “What the hell does that mean?”
Matt turned his attention back to Steve, the cocky smirk still on his face. “It means...” Matt began, his voice calm but firm, “We're sitting on a bomb. If we move too much, it'll explode. She's sitting next to me because we're keeping the weight balanced. I mean I’m the blind one here, but clearly it’s you behaving like one”
Steve blinked, his anger momentarily replaced by shock and disbelief. “You're sitting on a…what?” He looked between you and Matt and then down at the bomb beneath you both. “You're serious?”
Tony and Natasha watched the realization dawn on Steve's face. His whole demeanor changed after he heard about the bomb.
“That's right, Cap. They're literally sitting on a bomb.” Tony tells him.
Steve went silent for a moment as he processed the information, his eyes darting from the bomb to Matt and then to you. The gravity of the situation suddenly hit him. “Why didn't you tell me that?”
Nat couldn't help but chime in, her voice filled with the gravity of the situation. “She tried to...” Natasha replied, “But you were too busy yelling to listen.”
Steve's face hardened as he glanced at you. Guilt started to creep in as he realized his mistake. His anger had blinded him, and he had accused you without even letting you explain.
Steve looked down, his eyes landing on the bomb. “How…how we can save them? You got this figured out right Tony?” He asked, a hint of fear in his voice.
“There are different wires, connected. As soon as I figured out the code system, we need to cut them at the same time.” Tony tells him with a calm yet serious tone.
Steve's face paled as he looked down at the bomb again. The reality of the situation sinking in. Tony speaks at, his voice filled with a mix of seriousness and sarcasm. “I guess that's the end of your little jealous fit, huh?”
Steve didn't respond. He was still struggling to reconcile his anger and jealousy from earlier with the life-threatening situation you all were in now. Nat gave him a hard look, her eyes filled with admonishment. “Maybe next time, listen before you act like an idiot.”
Steve shot a glare at her, but he couldn't argue. He knew she was right. He had acted rashly, letting his emotions control his actions, without even giving you a chance to explain.
Tony spoke again, trying to lighten the mood a little despite the dire situation. “So, to recap, we're stuck in a bomb situation, kid's sitting with Mr. Daredevil because they're keeping it from exploding, and Cap here blew up on them because he thought she was cozying up with another guy. Anyone miss anything?”
Nat rolled her eyes at Tony's attempt to lighten the tension, but couldn't help but smirk a little. Steve just looked more annoyed and guilty at the same time.
“Guys please…” you tell them and Steve avoided your gaze, the guilt and regret evident on his face, his heart tightening in his chest as he heard the compassion in your voice despite everything, he had put you through.
“All right let's get back to work, Capsicle and Romanoff search the other rooms and see where the wires end. When I tell you to cut, cut the wires.” Tony tells them.
Steve hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering to you, concern etched on his face. He knew it was his fault that things had gotten so messed up between you two, but that didn't mean he didn't worry about your safety.
“I'm not leaving her alone with him...” Steve muttered, his tone laced with worry.
Tony looked at Steve with an impatient look.
“She'll be fine. I promise you, I’ll keep her safe. Now go.” Tony said firmly.
“I’ll protect her too.” Matt chimes in and Tony shots him a glare. “No one’s talking to you.”
As Steve prepared to leave with Nat, he cast one last glance at you, his worry evident in his eyes. He looked torn between wanting to stay and make sure you were safe and carrying out the assigned duty.
You and Steve exchange a look. A look of something hopeful.

an absolute win for the transmasc community 🙇
ngl I'm a sucker for sickfics and would love to read anything involving Remus looking after an ill reader who's neck deep in homework and refuses to take a break. maybe they fall asleep in the library, maybe they grumble about not being able to taste anything at breakfast, i dont know, take any creative liberties you'd like 😌
Oh i actually love you, i was thinking about writing earlier and this is the perfect excuse 😭 thank you my love
idk why i started off so angry at the start, i was trying to make him seem frustrated 😔/swearing/author cannot write for shit ☹️☹️/the layout is weird but if i don't do it in bulletpoints it'll be worse 🌚/author is British don't even start with me. 'Bollocking isnt British slang' WELL I USE IT OK 😕😕/not proof read, might go back and tweak it but i doubt it, sorry my love/do these warnings make me sound like a dick? ☹️
Remus Lupin x ill transmasc reader
Obviously you had to get ill now. Absolutely fucking brilliant.
You were absolutely balls deep in work that will not help you in the future whatsoever. Which is really a punch in the face cause you don't even have balls
Remus, of course, being the absolute star he is, wasn't the biggest fan of you overworking yourself, especially in this state
He tried to gently coax you out of this habit. Which worked for about half an hour before you got straight back to it
It's either an absolute bollocking from the teachers or an absolute bolloking from your immune system. Great.
You were currently hunched over a desk in the library, trying to focus.
Lines weren't lining. I swear, you read the same line about 57 times over and it just wasn't going in
You lay your head down in frustration
Look, you didn't mean to fall asleep, but it's grasp was just so comforting
It wasn't until about 20 minutes of Remus asking your mates where the hell you were until he found you absolutely knocked out in the library
His lip quirked up slightly, stroking your cheek gently
He packed up all your books. Another day.
Listen, he would've carried you but with his joints that is not happening
He awoke you as peacefully as he could. He felt like shit about it too.
"Sh, shh, i know dove, i know darling, we'll get you to bed, yeah? Atta boy"
Of course, you can lean a good amount of weight on him as you walk
When you protest slightly he gives you a stern look
"Love, you're pale, your voice sounds like your nose has earplugs up it. Just, let me take care of you. For the hell of it, yeah?"
God, his voice could convince the most stoic person on earth.
Eventually he got you into bed, warm hands taking your binder off (gifted by the courtesy of James)
Normally, after all that moving around the school you'd be awake again, but God everything about that man is so relaxing
He gently, as if he's handling a porcelain doll, dresses you into something comfier, kissing your forehead
"Need anything baby? Tea? Hot chocolate?"
Eventually, you dose off, a side table of neatly folded tissues and a body filled with warmth.
ACTUALLY PROUD OF THIS ONE?? WOAH??Kinda didn't get across amazingly that reader was sick, sorry pookie ☹️☹️✊️ hope you enjoyed lovely!!

Silent Treatment Part 2 ~ Mansk x Selective Mute Reader
Silent Treatment Masterlist Masterlist
Synopsis: After agreeing to join the Recoms on their mission, they set off to explore the forest of Pandora.
Warnings: Vivid bad dreams, minor panic attack, description of hunting and animal death
I had been tossing and turning most of the night, unable to close my eyes for quite awhile. There seemed to be no way to get comfortable in the human made bed. Though after a few hours, I was able to lull myself into a somewhat deep sleep.
I didn't dream of much, but I did think of my family. I thought of how worried my mother might be. The terrified look on Tuk's face as she was grabbed. The crack that had punched it way through to Spider's mask after he had fallen. That one kept coming back repeatedly through the night. Each time worst than the last. Images of what could have happened if it wasn't just the crack. Sometimes, glass was cutting just face, others it had shattered completely as he suffocated on the air around us.
I slowly began to gain consciousness as my body was moving almost aggressively. It stopped for a moment, before I felt someone touched my wrist. I jerked awake as I moved away from the feeling, pressing my back against the wall. Letting out a angry hiss, my heart beats against my chest as adrenaline coursed through my veins. I blinked rapidly while trying to get my eyes to adjust to the lighting in the room.
"Hey, hey it's okay! You're alright. Everything's alright, (Y/n)." His voice hits my ears before I can actually see him. My eyes slowly adjust to see Mansk staring up at me with concerned look on his face. He holds his hand up as I begin to calm my breathing down. My heart still hammers in my chest as I focus on his eyes. They felt so comforting as I sat there, just looking directly at him. As my body started to calm down, a sob forcing its way out of my throat. Slumping forward, I held my body up by leaning on my elbows as tears start falling out of my eyes. I feel Mansk place his hand on one of my shoulders, rubbing small circles through the fabric of his shirt. "It's alright. You just had a bad dream. Everything's alright, just take a deep breath."
Gasping between each sob, I claw at the sheets as I continue crying. He continued rubbing my back, trying to help me calm down in whatever way that he could. Slowly but surely, my breathing started to even out as my eyes started to dry up. Pushing my body back up with a shaky breath, I wipe my face with the back of my hand. Sitting up fully, I rock back and forth gently as I try and calm my mind from the intense emotions I just went through.
Mansk slowly moves away from the bed to grab some things around the room. I feel him look at me occasionally as he moves from one place to the next. After a few minutes of doing whatever he's focused on, he returns back to look up and over the railing again. Reaching up towards me, he holds out an open bottle. "You should drink some water. It'll help calm you down so you can get ready. We still have some time before we have to leave."
I reach out to take it with shaky hands. Bringing it to my lips, I take a few small gulps before taking a deep breath in after I pull it away slightly. I breath slowly as my heart begins to beat regularly again. Taking in a few more drinks, I hand the bottle back to Mansk. Rubbing my eyes, I groan at the pounding that is starting to form in my head.
Taking the bottle back, he put the cap back before moving to place it down on his desk. His attention was back on me again, though he did keep a bit of distance between us. "Are you okay?" His voice was soft as he questioned how I was doing. Giving a small nod, I moved to sit on the edge of the bed. Looking down towards him, I give Mansk a small smile in reassurance.
Jumping down, I land a couple of feet away from him. Standing up straight, I feel his shirt rub itself against my upper thigh. A small blush begins to form on my face as I take it off quickly. I was embarrassed that I hadn't taken it off while I was still in the bed. Once it's over my head, I practically shove the clothing into his hands. He seems shock by the sudden mood change, but takes the shirt back without complaint. Turning my attention away from him, I fix my top to make sure it isn't out of place.
Once I'm sure that my top is covering everything properly, I look back over at him. He appears flustered at the fact he had just watched me grope myself. I give him a confused look, not understanding why he was so embarrassed as it was a normal thing to do for the clan if incidents ever happened. He quickly cleared this throat, seeming to want to change the conversation as soon as possible. "We should start getting to the meeting point. Do you need anything to eat?"
I shake my head at his question. I remember eating some of the sky people food Norm and Max had made once when I was younger. I didn't care much for the taste back then, and they actually put thought into what they were making. I doubt that I want to know what these sky people deem as 'eat able' for their 'Na'vi' soldiers.
Mansk takes my answer without question though, moving around the room to grab the last of what he need before moving to the door. Pulling it open, he let's me go into the hallway first. When I step out, I noticed that not that many people were hanging around like the day before. Though, it could still be fairly early for a majority of the people that were working in the building. Once he made it out into the hallway, he closed the door and started walking away.
I make sure to follow close behind, not wanting to get lost in the maze like halls. His steps are confident as he leads me to the area where we are supposed to meet everyone else at. It does take a few minutes, but eventually we get to a certain hallway. Multiple doors run on one side of it while the other has only one set of double doors. My ears strain at the sound of the outside world just past the door, wanting to be there again.
Mansk went to one of the doors on the opposite wall, pushing it open as he turns towards me. Looking between me and the double doors, he gives me a somewhat questioning look. "I'm going to get ready. You can come in here or stay out here and wait. But don't go outside until I'm done, alright?"
I give him a small nod in understanding as I lean against one of the walls. It apparently pleases him, because he immediately goes into the room and closes the door. Resting my head against the wall, I let out a small huff as I begin waiting. I heard loud voices come from the room once Mansk had walked in, but they were muffled extremely. So I didn't know what kind of conversation was happening in there. There wasn't much other noise in the complex other than that though. I stood there in silence for a few minutes waiting for almost anything to happen.
The distant sound of footsteps hitting the ground cause my ear to perk up at the sudden noise. Looking in the direction it's coming from, I wait to see who will walk into view from around the corner. When I see the blue body of a soldier followed by the body of a human boy, a small smile spread across my face in relief. Once Spider notices me, he runs over to me to wrap is arms around my waist. I hold him close to me as I gently rub his back, happy to have him in my sight again.
Quaritch walks closer to us, an amused smirk present on his face. I give him a small glare, noticing that he is already in all of his gear, minus the weapons. I give him one last look before turning my attention back to Spider. Pushing him back just enough that I can get a good look at him, I begin to check his body for any form of injury he could have gotten since yesterday. I take notice of his mask that is hooked onto the string of his loincloth along with the oxygen tank it's hooked to. Taking a good look at it, I make sure that the glass is scoff free.
Spider pulls away as I continue to look over him. He laughed at the concern I was showing, not knowing why I was incessant to check up on him. "Calm down, I'm okay (Y/n). It was just one night, it's not like I was locked outside by myself."
Giving him an unammused look, I pull away from him completely. I finally felt convinced that he was unhurt since Quaritch took him to wherever he did yesterday. Before anything else could happen, the door opened up as Mansk, Lyle, and Z-Dog all came out with one another. They all have their gear on minus the weapons, just like the Colonel.
Lyle smirked as he saw me standing there, clearly still in his mood from yesterday. Z-Dog quickly took notice and shoved his head as she moved past him. I smiled at the look on his face when Z-Dog pushed him slightly. Mansk moved over to stand next to me, his glasses resting on top of his head.
Lyle takes notice of how soon we are by each other again. His voice sounds disturbingly sweet as he gives a stupid smirk, "Aw, look at the cute little couple. They can't stand to be away from one another."
"Back off Lyle. You're just mad that she called you out in front of the team yesterday," Z-Dog tried to shut down Lyle, clearly unimpressed that his attitude was still the same from the night before. At least she wasn't the only one who felt that way. Spider was glaring up at Lyle after the comment left his mouth. He clearly didn't like the way he was still treating me from the night before.
Before the conversation could go any further, Quaritch started heading towards the double doors. "Alright that's enough. Put your mask on kid, we're going outside."
The rest of us followed after Quaritch so we were standing by the door as we waited for Spider. He rolled his eyes, but reached down to put his oxygen mask on.
Once he was sure it was secured correctly, he joined the rest of us at the door. As soon as he came to stand by us, Quaritch put in a code to the keypad beside the door. They soon opened, allowing everyone to walk into the small pace the was used to separate the base and the outside. Quaritch was the last to walk in, making the door close by pressing another button. Once the door was sealed, the pressure of the room shifted, no longer feeling like what it was like in the building. It felt like the atmosphere that I was born to live in. Just before the second set of door opened, I place a hand on Spider's shoulder to pull him a little closer to me.
Once the door opens up to the outside world, the both of us immediately walk out of the small space. Making sure that I'm still within a decent distance from Mansk, we watch as the soldiers begin to grab their weapons from a row of lockers that line one part of the wall. Checking out the surrounding area, I notice a few of the soldiers from yesterday standing around. They all seem to be ready to go, but not everyone seems to have arrived on time.
Once everyone had grabbed their weapons, they moved to join the rest of the group. I tried to lead Spider towards them, but he stayed in place with a confused look. "Are we not getting our bows back?"
Quaritch stopped walking, turning to face us slowly. He had a thoughtful smirk on his face as he looked between me and Spider. When he finally spoke, his tone was serious, "And why would you need them to begin with?"
"To go hunting. The food you guys have to eat sucks." I smiled at Spider's response, proven right about choosing to not eat earlier. Though I thought that was a reasonable enough response, Spider added another good point, "Besides, we need to be able to protect ourselves in case something happens."
Quaritch seemed to think for a second, letting out a small chuckle once he came to a conclusion. Walking back to the lockers, he opened one and pulled out one bow and the arrows that went with it. Walking over to us, he held out my bow for me to take from his grasp.
As I reached out, he started speaking again, "(Y/n) will get her bow back. And she'll only use it if given permission to do so. Mansk will keep ahold of your arrows until you need one. Spider, you'll be sticking with me, so you won't need anything."
I glare at the man as I finally take my bow from his out stretched hand. I wasn't impressed that he wasn't giving Spider anything to protect himself with while we out there. And the fact he was giving Mansk more control over me than was needed. I rolled my eyes in annoyance as I put my bow on so it was resting on my back.
Looking down to see Spider's reaction, I could tell he was upset with the decision. Before he could say anything that could get him in trouble, I gently squeezed his shoulder before pushing him towards the rest of the group. I let go of Spider as I go to stand off to the side of the group with Z-Dog. Her face remained neutral for the whole ordeal, but her eyes did hold a small bit of sympathy.
With the situation settled to his liking with no vocal complaint, the Colonel clapped his hand together. "Alright, now that that's settled, let's get started."
When we finally made it to the forest, the group had begun to explore the forest slowly. They were trying to learn how to 'act like Na'vi' so they could find my family, like their leader had advised them to do. Most of them were clumsy as they walked, but they were slowly figuring out how to move through the forest without much incident. Spider was helping lead the group with Quaritch, while I stayed towards the back to keep an eye on everyone. I wanted to try and make sure none of them did anything stupid while they were out here.
Mansk was walking along side me, though he made sure to keep a few feet between us. Out of everyone else, he seemed to have the least amount of trouble as we got deeper into the forest. I would look over at him occasionally, just to check and see how he was doing. If he noticed me looking at him, Mansk didn't say anything about it. In fact, it seemed like we both had an unspoken agreement that we wouldn't actually acknowledge one another after he was put in charge of my arrows. I knew it wasn't his fault or choice, but I still had the right to be upset about what happened. And he was willing to be the person that I was angry at.
In front of us, Spider had stopped walking as he got to the center of a small clearing. Everyone gathers around him while he looks around for a second. Once he is satisfied with what he sees, he looks up at Quaritch as he begins to explain, "We should make camp here for the night. Eclipse will be in a couple hours so we have time to prepare. We can gather fire wood and forge for some fruits."
Some of the soldiers seemed uninterested in spending the night out in the open. Quaritch however, gives a small nod in agreement to the suggestion given to him. "Alright, we'll set up camp for the night. But I don't think fruit will be enough to feed everyone. Got any bright ideas on how to fix that dilemma?"
"I will go hunt for food." Everyone turned to look at me once that statement left my mouth. A few looked skeptical about the idea of me going off in order to find them food. I didn't pay them any mind, looking at the Colonel to get his permission.
Spider decided to speak in my favor as Quaritch and I continue to stare at one another, "It's would be a good idea. (Y/n) is a capable hunter for the clan. She can track a big enough animal to be able to feed everyone."
The Colonel let out a sigh as he nodded his head. "Alright. But no trying anything funny while you're out there. Remember, Mansk will be keeping a close eye of you. You don't want him to turn on your little collar now do you?"
I gave him a sarcastic little smile before turning towards Mansk. Looking down at his shoes, I gave them a small kick as I mumbled, "Take off." Staring back at him, I noticed that he seemed uncertain about my request. I gave another small kick which seemed to bother him enough. As he kneeled down, I closed my eyes to focus on the sounds around us. Paying close attention in one direction, I heard the call of a couple of grazers which could be just about a mile or two out.
When I opened my eye again, Mansk had just taken his shoes off completely. He stood up slowly, tossing his shoes towards the rest of the group. I brought my bow into my hand before grabbing his arm to lead him in the direction I heard the grazers. I heard a few of the guys laugh as I pulled Mansk along, but he didn't protest as I continued to drag him away into the forest. In fact, he seemed eager to get away from the rest of the group.
We had been walking for about 5 minutes, when Mansk suddenly stopped walking, catching my attention quickly. I turned towards him confused about the sudden change he was displaying. He reached around to where my quiver was, grabbing ahold of it before handing it towards me. I was shocked as I look up at him, unsure on if I should take it from him or it was a trick. He gave a small sigh as he grabbed my hand to place it within my grasp. I looked at him in confusion, not understanding what was happening at the moment.
I think he was returning my gaze, but it was hard to tell with his glasses on. Mansk was quiet for a moment before finally speaking, "You know when you'll one better than I will. I'll take it from you before we get back to the group. Just... don't do something you might regret."
I gave him a slow nod as I put my quiver in its rightful place on my body. My eyes search his face for a moment, but I frown as I get to the glasses covering his eyes. Reaching out, I carefully pull them from his face. He flinched away, but I stand firm on the choice to take them off. Once I remove them from his face, I hand them back to him. I look down at his hand as he takes them back, my voice soft as I explain to him, "You need to see where you go on a hunt. Pandora will kill you if you don't pay attention to her."
He seems a little shocked by the concern I show for him, but he still listened to what I said. Instead of putting the glasses back on, Mansk tucked them into the collar of his shirt. Giving him one last look, I turned back around to continue on with the hunt. I could hear him follow behind me, causing me to smile a little. It was obvious he wasn't trained to move around the forest quietly like my siblings and I were. Though, it wasn't as bad if he had kept his boots on.
We continued to walk in silence as I was looking for any sign of animals the further we got. Looking down at the ground, I noticed the hoove prints of a hexapede imprinted into the mud. Kneeling down, I take a closer look at the tracks to get some more information. I notice that they are extremely fresh. They couldn't have been made more than a half hour ago. Turning back to Mansk, I see that he is looking down at me intently. Putting a finger to my lip, I point towards the tracks as I stand up slowly. He looks down at them, giving a nod in understanding to the information I was try to relay to him.
We continued onward, more cautious with the prospect of the hunt. I brought my bow in front of me as I reached to get an arrow out. My movements are silent as I notch the arrow while I scan the surrounding area. Hearing the sound of flowing water, I quietly hide in a group of shrubs. Motioning for Mansk to follow my lead, I slowly peek out to take a look around. There is a small stream not too far out, a lone hexapede having stopped to take a drink from it. Luckily, it didn't seem to have heard the both of us approaching. I feel Mansk crouch down next to me as he looked towards the stream as well.
Taking a deep breath, I bring the bow up and pull the arrow back in order to make the shot. Waiting for the right time to take the shot, the hexapede's head came up as it finished taking its drink. Breathing out slowly, I release the string as I watch the scene closely. When the arrow hits, the creature falls down without making any noise of discomfort. A clean kill without any unnecessary pain to the animal.
Running out of the shrubs to the creature, I double check to make sure it's dead. Letting out a small sigh in relief, I say a soft prayer to thank Eywa for providing us with the a successful hunt. I pull the arrow out as gently as I can, grimacing slightly at the sound that it made.
Placing my hand on the creature, I turn around to look back towards Mansk. He had moved out of the plants to take a look at the hexapede. I give him a small smile as he walks closer to get a better view. Soon, he's kneeling beside me to get a better look. His amber eyes scan everything as his face turns thoughtful as he continues to stare. My eyes soften as he reaches out to gently rest his hand against it. I stare at his hand for a little while, touched by the compassion he had for the animal. Finally, I look back towards his face, wanting to say something to him. However, the words get lost in my throat when I see movement right above his head.
Looking above him, I place my hand on top of his arm as my mouth hangs agape. He looks at me before moving his gaze to look upwards himself. A small woodspire floats down slowly, right above Mansk. I watch with bated breath as it lands on his forehead caressing it for a moment before it moved downward. My eyes followed it as it moves to place itself against my hand that's holding his arm. It stays for a moment, calming my racing heart at its presence. Just as suddenly as it came, the woodspire floats away back into the forest.
I watch it leave with Mansk, neither one of us saying anything. When I finally look back at him, he appears confused by the whole ordeal. A frown is on his face as he looks at me to ask, "What just happened with that?"
A look of awe spread across my face as I looked into his eyes. My voice was quiet as I gave him a small smile, "It is a sign. Eywa has chosen you."
~Hey everyone! Sorry for the long wait for part 2. Life has been a bit hectic but I will get the next part out soon than it took this one. As always, feel free to request!
