Human Sully reader meeting the Metkayina Tribe.
Tumblr media
This is how I would image the reader acclimating to the Metkayina.
Honestly, it was kind of a struggle to get the reader to Awa'atlu. While the Sully's definitely wanted to bring you, there was barley a discussion, they just knew they couldn't be without you.
However, Max and Norm didn't think it would be smart to take you with them. They knew the Metkayina wouldn't be too happy out a human being brought into their clan, so they didn't think it was safe for you.
At this point however, they didn't really have much of a say in where you go. Jake and Neytiri very much consider themselves your parents, so they feel as though they have complete authority over where you go. They knew they could take care of you, regardless of where they went. It was getting too dangerous in the forest, and Jake didn't want his family there anymore.
Like I said, there wasn't much discussion about you leaving with them, it just happened. Jake made sure to stock up on spare oxygen masks and any other things you needed before leaving. Since you didn't have an Ikran, you rode with Jake, even though it causes a fight between Lo'ak and Neteyam, who wanted you to ride with one of them.
It took a while, but once you arrived at Awa'atlu, you were instantly not welcomed. The Metkayina were not happy to see forest Na'vi, especially ones with demon blood. The moment they saw a human was brought along, they instantly wanted to send you all away, mainly Ronal. She was not a fan of humans due to what they had done to her people, and if it wasn't for Tonowari, you would've been killed right then and there.
It was safe to say that you were not welcomed in the clan. Even though your whole family wasn't welcomed, they eventually were able to become somewhat acclimated. You, however, were a human. You couldn't breathe long underwater, couldn't bond with an Ilu, and overall was completely isolated. Your siblings knew what you were going through, and always there for you. Kiri specifically would take you on walks around the shore so that you weren't stuck in the Marui.
It was during one of these walks that you met the younger Metkayina. Tsireya was very nice, which was a nice change of pace from the hatred you were getting from everyone else. Tsireya had this childlike curiosity towards you. She, unlike most other Na'vi, thought you were super interesting and quickly became close friends with you.
Tsireya was the one who introduced you to Aonung, who was not a fan of you. He, like he mother, hated the sky people, and didn't want them anywhere among his clan. He was smart enough not to mess with you in front of your siblings, but when you were alone, he did not hesitate to voice his hatred for you. He would pull your hair, prod at your body, poking fun at how small you were. He would even make fun of your poor Na'vi speak. He and his friends made a lot of your days miserable, but the worst was that you couldn't tell anyone about it due to the collective hatred surrounding you and your family.
Speaking of your family, you did a good job hiding the abuse you suffered from them. That was until Lo'ak got in a fight with him when he witnesses him messing with you, resulting in Jake getting upset. While he was happy his son was defending you, he knew he had an image to uphold, and attacking the chief's son was not a great way to gain the people's trust.
Aonung's bulling eventually died down, due to both Lo'ak and Tonowari. His father, while also not trusting of humans, knew that it was wrong what his son was doing. You were just a child and didn't deserve the treatment you were receiving, regardless of your heritage. Tonowari was more sympathetic to your plight and was grateful his daughter was there to befriend you.
Ronal despised you. She did not want you or your siblings anywhere near her children. She didn't understand Jake's and Neytiri's obsession with you, you were some random demons. In her mind, she saw you as someone trying to destroy her home. It didn't matter what Tsireya told her, in her mind she would never trust you.
Eventually, you were able to build a strong relationship with Tsireya she would take you out on her Ilu's and explore the reefs with you. Tsireya was more patient with you, knowing your limitations and would carefully guide you through the reefs and help you find pretty shells. Aonung did eventually become your friend but would still tease you, just not as much as before. Aonung and Lo'ak became your bodyguards, going everywhere with you. Lo'ak was always protective of you and was not afraid to hide it. Aonung was more embarrassed about protectiveness over you. He didn't understand, you were a sky person, a demon. There was no reason to be so hung up over you. But he couldn't help but become jealous when he saw you hanging out with one of the Sully children or with his sister. It all culminated with him basically demanding you to be his friend and ever since you were always with him.
Tonowari is a good father. A good mate. So, of course he feels bad when he sees you and feels a sense of yearning. He wonders if this is what Jakesully felt when he saw you for the first time. If he felt the same care and longing. He knows it's not right, to care so much about a demon, but he can't help it. Tonowari worries about you always and will always keep an eye on you whenever you travel into deep water with one of his children.
Regardless of how much he cares for you, he will never act upon it in respect for both his mate and Jakesully. He knows what fatherhood can do to a person and would never take that away from him. He instead, chooses to remain content protecting you from the sidelines and making sure no harm ever came to you.
A/n: Please send me any ideas you have for the Metkayina, I would love to hear it.

All That's Left
There's routine and there's getting used to change. Some are quickly adaptable but, depending on the circumstance, it isn't always that easy.
Leonardo x Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: angst
Being a ninja has its perks: one can evade the eyes of man whilst making way to their destination. However, even with such skill, moving through the night is more optimum, especially for Leonardo. Shifting over buildings and hiding around dumpsters is one thing but more open areas are difficult to navigate whilst adhering to the element of stealth. Luckily, the elements are in his favour: the downpour of rain shielding him by both sound and sight. He isn’t typically one to go to such lengths to get to one place unless it’s in the name of a mission but this has become a routine as of late. He does it as frequently as he can given his circumstances but it never feels as though it makes up for all of that lost time. By now, he knows this path like the back of his hand: sneak past ground watch, jump over the gate, and take the fifth walkway from the left. A few more paces and he’s made it. His observance is dim but his lips pull as best as they can at her sleeping form.
"Hey," he greets quietly. "Sorry, it’s been a few days since my last visit."
Despite the blank, paling face that stares back at him, his smile remains. He lays the flowers down and kneels before her.
"I would have brought everyone else with me but I decided to be a bit selfish today. Just the two of us. I hope that’s okay.”
Again, silence follows and he readjusts his sitting position to get comfortable.
"Things have been quiet lately," he continues, his eyes absentmindedly gazing over her bed. "I'd say it's a nice change but I wouldn’t mind the distraction."
He huffs a laugh and his head cranes towards his shoulder before straightening again. The gentle pierce of his brown stare wanders over the rest of the cold space that surrounds them. Despite having come here for the last two months, there’s still something new to look at. He remembers when he first heard of this being her new residence and how long it took to adjust. Often, he still finds himself heading towards her old apartment out of muscle memory.
"I know it probably sounds like a broken record at this point but everyone misses you. I… miss you.”
There’s a grasp on his throat, a squeeze that only tightens the more he tries to fight it. He swallows past the restriction, mouth dry, tongue suddenly alien to him. Just keep a level head. This isn’t anything new by now. His cheeks cave in against the deep intake of air.
"There's a lot I should have said when I had the chance," he whispers hoarsely, though no words follow in this empty promise of rectification.
He can’t do it. His eyes clamp shut with his lips, firmly pressed to hold back the internal incursion. He can't even bring himself to say it: what he wants to say; what he's wanted to say for so many years. There's no point knowing that he'll never get an answer. His fingers dig into the sodden ground, pulling away the strands of grass that have only just begun to grow above her. It breaks beneath his palms and sullies the very hands that tremble under his hunched body. He should remain composed. He shouldn’t fall apart like this. Is it not he who should be able to think straight during dire circumstances such as this? Be the voice of reason? For his family but not himself it seems. Not right now.
With a heavy, laboured breath, his head pries upward to meet her grey face once more. The carved letters of her name stare back at him, dowsed in rain and he can only hope, wherever her spirit may be, that she isn’t crying for him. He doesn’t deserve her tears. He was in South America saving all of those people when he should have been here to save her. If he had come home when he was supposed to, this never would have happened. Leonardo and his brothers would have been back doing patrol before any of this could become a reality. She would still be alive. She would still be with him. He took her for granted and now he’s paying the ultimate price.
“I thought I might find you here,” a voice calls out to him.
A familiar voice. Not the one he’d be wishing for but a welcome one nonetheless. He tears his gaze away from the gravestone to be met by his friend April, who kneels beside him. She tilts her umbrella so that he may be sheltered too and together they sit quietly. Rain is their only comfort with this mutual understanding of unrest in the air. There isn’t anything that can be said to make better of this; nothing that hasn’t already been repeated countless times.
With the clouds readying their part for day’s oncoming dawn, April takes her stand and outstretches a hand to her friend. He waves his muddied fingers with a pathetic attempt at a laugh and rises lethargically.
“Come on. You can’t hold onto this guilt forever, Leo,” she reminds him, just as everyone has been since his return. “She’d want you to let go.”
He's not sure he'll ever be able to rest on that idea. Not until he learns how to say goodbye, at least - the last word he had said to her so carelessly, not realising it would indeed be goodbye.
This is something shorter and a bit different but an idea that would not leave for the life of me. Hope you enjoyed!

I'm having a lot of fun with @thefreakandthehair's Spicy Six Fic Challenge, and while I'm not completely finished yet, I do have something. I'll post the complete thing to AO3 once I'm done.
My prompt is "All these lights, and not a single one is flickering. That's a nice change of pace, huh?" but it does not actually show up in this part. Also, I went for angst with a happy ending, so this part is all angst. Steve-centric, of course.
embraced by the darkness (waiting for the lights) (part 1)
The holiday season had snuck up on all of them. With the gates, and with Max, time had just passed differently. Trying to think back, Steve can only remember volunteering, shifts at Family Video, and making sure everyone around him was okay. He’s had a few calls with his mum, but his parents hadn’t wanted to return to Hawkins considering everything. Not that Steve has celebrated Christmas with them in years; they stopped bringing him with them once he aged out of being his mum’s cute angelic child, aged out of living up to his dad’s expectations. The last time he got close to celebrating Christmas with anyone was when he and Nancy were dating and he spent as much time as possible in her home, but even then he had spent Christmas Day alone.
Knowing that this year would be no different, Steve had been the first to offer to take Lucas’ place in the hospital; allowing him to take a break and celebrate with his family. It was better to be here with Max than be home alone, although there’s not a lot to do other than staring at the walls; white was never a colour he had an opinion on but after spending most of the year in and out of Max’s hospital room, Steve has grown to hate it. The kids' drawings help break up the monotony of the room, and it helps cheer him up to think about them. Even if the paper underneath their drawings remains white.
He has never felt right drawing anything to add to the collection. He loves Max like a little sister, and except for Lucas and El, he has spent the most hours by her bedside, but he’ll always be unsure of his place in other people’s lives.
He thought his parents would always love and care for him, but then they started leaving him alone, they started forgetting about him, and when he no longer had the illusion of a promising future to hide behind, his dad cut him off. The relationship he’s trying to repair with his mum is fragile at best.
And he had thought Nancy loved him but that turned out to be bullshit, and now he still doesn’t know how to be her friend. He doesn’t know how to be Jonathan’s friend either and hasn’t really tried, to be fair. Steve can’t truly look at them without remembering who he was in high school, feels like they’ll always see the asshole that let things happen. He used to be so passive about everything.
He still feels passive sometimes, surrounded by kids so much smarter than him. All he’s good for is being another body between them and the monsters; he knows he can make anything a weapon, knows he can kill a demo-whatever. The problem is when the monster is human and he has to hold back; when he has to be a shield and not a weapon. Some nights, he feels like he has Barb’s blood on his hands. Billy’s too, for what his death did to Max.
During the past months, he has woken up thinking it was Max's or Eddie’s blood. Thinking he could have saved them if he was smarter, faster, better.
He wouldn’t know what to do with himself if he actually were responsible for another person’s death; if he tried to protect and instead caused irrecoverable harm.
With a shaky exhale, he leans back in the hospital chair. It’s not very comfortable, but none of them has ever complained. Trying to find a position that won’t kill his back gives him something to think about, something to focus on that won’t make him spiral. The last thing he needs is to have an anxiety attack next to Max; she would never let him live it down if she knew.
Maybe it would be worth it if it would finally force her awake, if seeing Steve being pathetic was the last push she needed to open her eyes.
He needs to redirect his thoughts somehow. Needs a distraction that won’t push him further towards a spiral. Music is out of the question; none of them has been able to listen to Kate Bush in the same way, and any song now carries the possibility of being life or death for someone. Or maybe Steve is the only one to think that; the others are still happy to fight over control of the radio when he drives them around, and he gets frequent updates on how Corroded Coffin is doing. At least music wasn’t taken from any of them.
There’s something dark about how he feels better when he’s the only one that suffers. Steve would carry all their pain on his shoulders if he only could. Would take all their nightmares and flashbacks and triggers so that they can smile and laugh and continue to be kids. He would take the pain from Robin, and Nancy and Jonathan, and Eddie too. From Joyce and Hopper and Murray and anyone else that has gotten involved.
Steve sometimes thinks he would shoulder the pain of the whole world if it allowed them to be done with the Upside Down. Thinks that it would be worth it if everyone stopped having to grow up so fast.
Thinking about growing up does remind him of the book he brought; the book he always brings. It’s not every time that he reads from it, but it feels like one of those days that need a fairytale to brighten things up. It will give him something to do at least.
The book of fairytales is old, something his mum used to read him to sleep with before his dad argued that he was too old for stories. She let him keep it, a secret between the two of them, a keepsake from when she was a mother and not a distant figure. It’s one of Steve’s few possessions that mean something to him; he can recite each story verbatim if asked, but he prefers having the comforting weight of the book resting in his lap, prefers reading the words from the worn pages.
He flips through the pages to the story of the little mermaid and begins to read, softly enough that only Max can hear him.
Steve wishes that he could find a sea witch now; he, too, would cut off all his hair for his sister to live. Would throw away the dagger too; would turn into seafoam for her. And if not seafoam, a spirit of air.
Maybe Max is a spirit of air, looking down at him now. But that would mean that they’ve lost her—
The heart monitor provides a comforting background noise as he continues to read, doing his best to not stumble over the words that he knows by heart. For now, Max is alive, for now, he can focus on reading for her, for now, he can hope that the fairytale reaches her, wherever she is.
-
He must have dozed off at some point for the next thing he knows a nurse is gently shaking him awake. There’s a paper cup of coffee getting pressed into his hands, although it’s probably much too late for caffeine. Max’s room doesn’t have a clock on their insistence and the dark comes early these days, but he thinks it should be the end of visiting hours if he’s getting woken up. Not that visiting hours always matter; especially the first few months had found them in and out of the hospital at all hours of the day.
“You should head on home, son. There’s snow coming.” the nurse tells him, voice just barely loud enough to be heard with his decreased hearing. Steve thinks he mumbles something coherent in response since they leave after making sure he won’t drop the cup.
The coffee is strong, but the bitter taste helps him come back to consciousness. Sleep comes rarely to him, but it always drags him down deep when it does. He has taken to keeping the nail bat by his bed; needs a weapon close at hand when waking up takes too long. Not like the weeks after something has just happened and any noise has him sitting up, ready for a fight.
If he’s getting less or more sleep now, Steve can’t tell. He gets enough that no one notices, enough for him to function, and that’s enough. It has to be.
Once he’s gotten the coffee down, Steve closes the book that thankfully hadn’t fallen to the floor while he slept, and puts it in his bag before pushing himself up from the chair. Nothing has changed with Max since he last looked at her; the rhythm of the heart monitor is the same. He takes a moment to make sure that she’s tucked in comfortably and that there’s no hair on her face, before saying goodbye with a kiss on her forehead— a last bit of warmth for the road.
-
Sitting in his car outside the hospital, Steve takes a moment to decide where to go. He has been told by Claudia more than once that he’s always welcome to spend time with her and Dustin, no matter the time of day, and Robin has promised to keep a chair free for him if he changed his mind about spending Christmas with her. Even Joyce had sent an invitation through Hopper, and Mrs Sinclair had promised him leftovers if he came by that evening.
Steve doesn’t feel right about intruding on any of them. The one time he tried taking up an invitation, he had sat outside in his car for twenty minutes, stuck in an anxiety spiral, before he drove home. It’s easier for everyone if he just skips the middle step, so there was really only one answer.
He gets home before the snow, but just barely. The first flakes are falling as he hurries from his car to the door, not dressed for the cold. His gloves and scarves have ended up with the others who needed them more; he can make do by zipping his jacket the whole way up and sticking his hands underneath his armpits. And he can surely find another pair of gloves and another scarf if he goes through his parents' things; they have left a lot of clothes behind, and they fit him better every year.
The house is warm in temperature only, and he’s once more thankful that his dad hasn’t thought to pause the bills. His parents' unreliable schedule is good for one thing only; never knowing when they will be home means that the house is always in working order. The downside, of course, is that Steve rarely feels comfortable inviting anyone over; not knowing if his parents will come home or if he’ll have enough time to clean up before they do… He always finds himself getting too worked up to truly relax.
He used to smoke, but then the Russians… it’s not the same kind of drug, but Steve can't stand not being in control of himself. Alcohol is out of the question for the same reason, and partly because he remembers when Nancy got drunk and has felt uncomfortable around intoxicated people ever since, always wondering if they’re going to blow up at him.
Steve wants to be of help, finds a purpose in being useful, in being able to love and be loved in return. To have all that thrown back at him, having it called bullshit… Nancy Wheeler has changed him in many ways, only a handful of them good.
When he shivers, it’s more due to his thoughts than the temperature. Still, he keeps his jacket on even after he has put away his bag and taken off his shoes. Exhaustion has come over him like a heavy blanket now that he’s home, and Steve wants nothing more than to go to bed. He does take a moment to look towards the kitchen, to try to remember when he last ate something, but he doesn’t think he would be able to keep anything down. The anxiety that he had felt in the hospital is worming its way through his veins now, and he wants to be in the safety of his bedroom before it overcomes him.
It doesn’t take long to get there, taking the stairs two steps at a time. He has long since learned how to find his way around the house in the dark, how to do so quietly, and fast. His room is the furthest to the left; turn left once up the stairs, and then to the left again. With his parents' room being the furthest to the right on the first floor, he doesn’t have to be all that quiet, but Steve has always been more anxious than anyone would think.
He would lock the door behind him, but there isn’t one. He can only hope that he remembered to lock the front door; not that a locked door can stop the monsters. Steve glances towards the wall at the thought and immediately glances away; he’s not bleeding; the gates aren’t completely closed even after all these months but they’re too small in size for anything to come through; he’s safe, and he has his bat.
He knows he’s safe, so why is he unable to breathe?
His jacket feels constricting and he cannot get it off soon enough. His throat aches and Steve moves to get out of his sweater as soon as the jacket has fallen to the floor. He needs to breathe, he needs to get everything off, he needs to, needs to, needs to—
Warm tears are making their way down his cheeks as Steve collapses to his knees. The nail bat is too far away, but he doesn’t know what he would use it for. It doesn’t stop him from crawling towards it, wanting the comfort of the wood in his hand. He has years of practice in how to hug it close without hurting himself on the nails.
If he could only breathe properly, he would be singing. There is one song that still brings him comfort, but only when his mind is playing tricks on him. It’s the song, the one that would save him from Vecna. But Steve is almost hyperventilating when he finally gets his hands on the bat; singing would only make things worse. He could force himself if he heard a clock, but much like the hospital room, all clocks are removed from the house.
Even after months of not seeing his parents, it took until he almost collapsed from a lack of sleep and anxiety before Steve removed them. He still doesn’t know how to explain if his parents come home.
Especially not their prized grandfather clock. It’s safely put away in their bedroom, the pendulum having been removed to stop the chiming. He didn’t dare put it in the garage; couldn’t pack it away in a box like he did all the other clocks.
Thinking about clocks - thinking about his parents - does nothing to help his breathing. Steve is fully hyperventilating, the bat hugged close like it’s a stuffed bear. The tears falling down his cheeks feel endless, and snot has started to run down his nose. His lips are salty when he licks them.
If he were a braver man, Steve would call someone. But everything inside him screams at the concept of willingly showing weakness, especially months after everything happened. He hasn’t had to reassure Robin or Dustin or Lucas over the phone since before the school year started.
He spent the anniversary of the mall burning - of the Russians - with Robin, but after that… everyone else just seemed okay.
Steve could barely get out of bed for all of November; couldn’t do anything at all for Thanksgiving.
The tears come harder at that; at the thought that he’s the only one still suffering. His scars give phantom pain as he curls his torso inwards; trying to make himself small while still hugging the bat close. His whole body shakes with his sobs now, they almost get stuck in his throat as he struggles to get any air.
Steve is back with the vines, is back with the bats, is back with the Russians and the demodogs and the demogorgon in Byers house.
And then the doorbell rings, and he’s in his bedroom, is half-naked on the floor with nails dangerously close to digging into his stomach.
The doorbell rings again and the sound echoing through the house shocks him so badly that he chokes on a sob, almost coughing his lungs out as he tries to get himself in control. Whoever is waiting at the door can’t see him like this; can’t see him as anything else but the fighter, the protector, the shield.
He’s tempted to hide in his room until they leave, but he would never; what if it’s the kids, what if something has happened, what if they need him— Steve’s mind is racing with scenarios - each worse than the one before - as he scrambles to get himself together. The bat gets dropped to the floor, and scratches his stomach in his haste, but he can’t feel it as he covers it up with the sweater. He knows he got the sweater on backwards, but that doesn’t matter if something is wrong.
Steve is trying to scrub his face of all traces of tears as he jogs down the stairs, the doorbell ringing a third and then a fourth time in the background. He knows he doesn’t succeed, knows that his eyes must be puffy and red, knows that there’s snot on his sleeves now, and that his hair is in disarray from where he must have been pulling on it in a useless attempt to ground himself. He knows that he must look like a mess and that he has no explanation that he’s willing to give, but hopefully whoever’s at the door has more important things to worry about than him. Most things are more important than him.
His hands are shaking as he tries to get the front door open; he unlocks it and then locks it again, not able to remember which direction is which as his thoughts fly in hundred directions at once. He’s out of breath when he finally gets it open - from the panic attack that he can still feel, from trying to get presentable and down the stairs as fast as possible - but he plasters a shaky smile on his lips in hope of covering it up.
The smile gets slightly more real but no less shaky when the door has opened enough to reveal Gareth and Eddie, the latter looking ready to press the doorbell a fifth time.

Note: OK, first things first, I started drawing this while traveling on a bus, in an Easternish Europian country, so the roads were very bumpy and it was hard to write, so I'm going to write here the texts too. I hope you like this short story I came up with! ^^ (I'm obsessed with putting easter eggs into everything)
1: God: Today I unite you, God: And all shall witness.
Tumblr media
[Crowley hides themselves with his wings] 2: A: It's alright, my darling. No needd to cover me. God: He is right, Crowley. You can't fight anyone's fate. God: For it has already been written. God: My sweet children, I have sent humanity for you to learn from. God: And you two were the first ones, who ever did. Crowley, my fallen archangel, Raphael, guardian demon of the tree, and aid of humanity…- A: What?! You're an archangel?
Tumblr media
3: C: Does it matter now? A: N-no. God: Aziraphale, principality of the Eastern gate… my softest angel. Your worries may layed to rest, for from this day forward, you shan't leave one another. God: Take my gift, he will be the guardian of humanity. The fruit of your love will be Rathma. A, and C: What?! God: Demon, will you take my gift, and his hand? C: … I'd like to hear it from him first! God: Very well, angel? A: Crowley… I will.
Tumblr media
4: C: Then, C: I will too… God: You may kiss your spouse.
Tumblr media
5:
Tumblr media
6: later, somewhere in London [wings flap, they are falling apart, from being untangled from their wings, finally falling back into cushions at the library] C: What- What just happened? A: I think… we just got married.
Tumblr media
7: C: Angel. Did you really want this? C: I mean, them leaving us alone is nice and all, but… Isn't this going too fast for you? A: Crowley, dear. This was just a ceremony of spending our time together. I think we already did that for 6000 years. C: Did you not hear the part about Rathma?! A: Crowley, I will do no such thing until I know you can love me. C: Oh, so you mean to tell me, you also don't have free will. Beacuse angels can't have that.
Tumblr media
8: C: You just heard Her. We are on our own side. C: You didn't say yes, just because you were forced, right? A: It's not as if we can't set our own pace. She didn't say any date. C: So you do lov- A: Ahah, would you like some wine? Let's get drunk! [alcohol appears]
Tumblr media
9: C: …sure. I'd like to be summoned while I'm too drunk to care about the change of surroundings. If that happens again. [Bunch of alcohol later] C: My point is… Ducks! [A: again?] C: They have eggs. Real good parental defene… defenend… guardians! Put their heir in an egg! Kids fresh out the egg can run! See! Speak too! Snakes have eggs!
Tumblr media
10: A: So you're suggesting we should also store them in an egg? C: I-I-I I mean, I don't suppose any of us want to carry them the way others do, right? A: Like humans? C: Imagine fish… A: Ugh… I'd rather not. A: Do we even carry them? How-… Do they?… How would we even get there? I don't think others have done it before.
Tumblr media
11: A: How are angels born? C: Why ask me? You're the angel! A: You were an archangel! You should know more than I do! C: I-I don't know! C: God sorta just created them! In adult form. Or at least in a permanent state. C: …You don't think-. They will just show up anytime? A: She said they'll be born as the fruit of our love… A: wait. A: If we are good and evil. Then they will be good and evil. But humans are good and evil. What if they will be human? They grow so fast!!
Tumblr media
12: C: I go for a longer nap and they might be old or dead! [Even more alcohol later…] A: I can't help it, I'm an 'Ngel! I'm made out of love. I can only love you. Even if you can't- [Drunk vision begins] C: No. Angel,

Love In The Bureau
Part 2
Tumblr media
They hadn’t seen one another in 8 years until her boss decided to leave, leaving the position of Team Leader up for grabs. Kate wasn’t the happiest when she found out who it was, but maybe something can change this time round...
Enemies to friends to lovers. CM level violence. AU!
By the time Kate made it back to work, the team had seen a complete change in both her and Dean. They had gone from being icy and rocky with one another to being...kind. Nice. Warm people. Something they never thought they'd witness between their team mate and team leader.
One morning, Garcia had walked in, getting ready to place up a few balloons for Kate's 'welcome back' but Kate has already beat her to the round-room.
Kate had been sat with a couple of files surrounding her and two coffee's on the table including two pasta breakfast bowls. One which was Kate's, the other's was Deans.
"Wha-" Garcia had said upon seeing her. "You're back? But - But you weren't meant to be here for another hour."
Kate gave a 'eesh' face when she saw Garcia and the small handful of balloons. "I know. I'm so sorry."
"No, don't be. It's good that you're back. I just wanted to do something nice and fun before you came back."
Kate slowly stood up and walked over to Garcia. "I love the thought. And I love you."
Garcia smiled. "Fine. You're forgiven. Just hug me first."
"I can do that."
The pair shared a tight hug before pulling away, Garcia handing Kate her balloons. "Welcome back!"
"Thank you." Kate smiled with laughter. "I love them."
"Hey, just...out of curiosity, who have you been here with? And how long have you been here? Because I would have bumped into you on the elevator when I came into work this morning."
"I've been sat with Dean," Kate admitted, placing the balloons out of the way before walking to sit down by the desk again. "I couldn't sleep last night. First day gitters, I guess. So, I came in bright and early. Dean was in before anyone so, we decided to have breakfast together and go over a couple of cases."
"Dean?" Penelope smiled as she looked at Kate.
"Don't give me that look."
"What look?" Garcia asked, innocently. "There's no look."
"Uh, yes there is. It's that one you're giving me right now." Kate told her. "That's you suggestive look."
"I don't have a -"
With a quick movement, Kate snapped a picture of Garcia before showing her. "Oh, wow, there is a face. I thought I was really good at hiding my thoughts."
Garcia gave a small pout of sadness at her secret being uncovered.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, that's your new icon picture for your contact in my phone."
Garcia smiled again. "Ooh, yay! Please tell me you've found one for JJ. I can never get the perfect picture for her. Of course, she looks perfect in all of her pictures, but that's the problem."
"We'll catch it one day."
"Not on my watch."
"JJ!"
"Hey! You're back!"
"Thank god."
Before long, everyone was back in the conference room, Dean finally coming back from retrieving the new case file.
"How bad?" Kate asked.
"Oregon."

Over the following hours, the team, save for Dean and Kate, studied the latter. They no longer sat on opposite sides and ends of the plane but either across from one another or next to. The talked to one another, mostly eye contact when they did. It was like, over night, they had their own language. They didn't even have to speak or look at one another to know what the other was needing or thinking.
But, the team hadn't seen the nights and late afternoons Kate and Dean had spent together finishing paperwork, consulting on cases and just simply talking.
It was definetly a change of pace compared to the last few months of arguing or heated looks that could kill in an instant. That was even if they looked at one another. Or spoke whilst in the same room.
And now they had landed in Oregon, staying in a local hotel close to the station.
"We've only got so many rooms so some of you will have to bunk."
"I call JJ!" Garcia called out.
"I'm not sharing with Reid." Alvez spoke out. "I love you all, but I need my alone space."
"I'll share with Reid." Emily said, raising her hand.
"I guess that leaves you and me."
Kate took the key from the desk. "You better not snore."
An hour later they were on the case and getting to work.
"Who's for coffee?" Dean asked as he walked in with a palate of coffee's. His tie was off, his sleeves rolled half way up and his blazer was thrown on the back of his chair.
"Ah! You are a saviour!" JJ exclaimed, taking her cup.
Other "thank you"'s came from the others however, as Kate took a sip of her's she scrunched up her face. However before she could say anything, Dean handed her a couple of sugars.
"JJ's right. You are a saviour." Kate smiled, taking them from him whilst a small smile came to his lips before he sat down on the table, one foot still on the floor. Kate had stolen his seat.
"Anything new?"
"A couple of tips but Alverez called. It's nothing but they're checking out another one right now. We're waiting for his call."
Dean nodded, turning his head as he was called in by the lead detective on the case.
Four bodies had turned up in the town in a matter of weeks. All died the same. All cut the same. However, there was only something different between the three women. Hair colour.
And now another had turned up. Only, this time, it was a man. Again.
"Alright, Kate and JJ you're with me. Prentiss, call Alverez - tell him to meet us there. Can you take the witnesses?"
Emily nodded.
"Great. Garcia? Press."
Garcia nodded. "Yes, sir."
"Lets go."
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
By the time it reached 2am Kate and Dean were the only ones still awake. He had sent everyone to be hours ago since they'd had next to no sleep within two days. But, of course, Kate didn't follow his instructions. Then again, he wasn't following his own.
They had been down stairs at first before transfering everything upstairs so they could continue working in a more comfortable situation.
And, as the clock began to reach half-past, it finally hit Kate.
"Holy shit!" she exclaimed as she threw her hands up into the air, her pen flying with them. "Oh." She was sat crossed-legged on Dean's bed, surrounded in each case file of the victims.
"What?"
"I found his MO."
"You have? I thought we already-"
Kate nodded. "Yeah. We did. But look at their pattern."
Dean took the photos from Kate's hand and looked down at them. "I don't see it."
Kate stood up in frustrastion stood next to him. Pointing at the pictures, she explained; "Look at them. They remind you of anything?"
Dean was a little silent and then, "Oh!"
"See it now?"
"No." he answered honestly.
Kate let out a groan. "Blue dress, blonde hair. The girl, right? Well, look at the guy. Chrisp white shirt, jacket, pocket watch, nice suit. Hair perfect. And then the second vics. Red hair and a purple shirt and blue-ish skirt. Our second vic? Relaxed shirt, slightly longer, jet black hair? How do you not see this? Ugh, right, look. Our third vic?" Kate said, walking over to the bed and picking up the third girl's picture. "Perfect, long blond hair, pink dress, lips as red as the rose?"
"They're Disney couples." Dean said aloud realising what she had spotted. "They're Disney couples! They're...Disney couples?"
Kate nodded and hummed. "And I bet you any money, if he manages to get a third male victim, he'll be in a black shirt and trousers and have a red jacket."
"You're a genius."
Kate shrugged. "I just watched a lot of Disney growing up. It's kinda creepy, if you think about it. Childhood innocence now broken because of some ranging psychopath with a Disney fetish."
"When you put it like that."
Two days later, they finally caught the Unsub about to mark a final victim. Thankfully, he was arrested before he could do so, but another two minutes and the victim could have died.
And now, whilst the others slept peacefully in their rooms, Kate and Dean had finally made it up the stairs and into their room. However, with all the folders and files of old cases, Disney lore and much more, the pair collapsed onto one bed.
"Sometimes I wonder how we can still do this?"
Dean moved his hand from his face to look at her. "Do what?"
"This. No sleep for three days. Crash for a couple of hours and then solve the case before finally being able to get a decent night's sleep."
"Offenders don't take breaks, Carter. But I get your point."
With silence filling the room, it didn't take long until Dean flicked off the light and they were both dead to the world.
By the time they woke up, JJ was knocking on their door, growing louder and louder with each and every knock.
"Come, guys! Wake up! The Plane's ready, we just need to leave."
Kate groaned as she woke up to the light, as did Dean - neither of them realised however that they had moved closer in the night, Dean's arm lay across Kate's side whilst she lay inches from his chest.
"We better get up."
"I hate Mondays." Kate groaned.
"It's Thursday."
"Well, I hate them, too."
Dean managed to crack a small smile as he got up. "Come on, I'll get you coffee."
"Black?"
"As your soul."
Kate smiled, tiredly. "You know me too well, Winchester."
"Come on, before JJ breaks down the door."
Five minutes later, Dean was ready to open the door when Kate stopped him.
"What are you doing?"
"Just, wait. Is JJ out there?"
Dean looked through the peep hole. "Yeah, but-"
"Just...watch."
As Dean opened up the door, JJ began to speak but was halted when a flash went off in her face. "Thank you." Kate said to herself, and JJ.
"Wha-"
"That's what you get for waking me up."
JJ rolled her eyes. "Fine. Just, come on."
By the time they got back on the plane, Kate was half way through her coffee sat across from Dean by the window, Spencer next to her and Emily sat across from him. Alvez was sat at the end of the plane and JJ was fast asleep.
But, even as they all sat in silence, their each were processing their own thought. And what was going on with Dean and Kate's? Well, they couldn't deny it was the best sleep they'd had in years.
- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Dean and Kate always seemed to find some way to be always touching each other. Whether it be touching legs under the table in the jet as they sat across from one another, like that had done after Oregon, or touching arms when stood next to one another. Or the other having their arm around the other's shoulder - this usually being Dean's arm over Kate's since she was the shorter of the two. The team had even found them holding hand sometimes. This usually happened because they were helping one or the other down or up into something whilst searching a location and clearly they didn't want to let go. But, the odd thing was, neither of them seemed to realise it. It just seemed to happen.
This is what confused the team the most because the pair had gone from hating one another to practically being best-friends over night. They smiled, they laughed, they talked. The team had questioned if they were dating, but since they couldn't just come right out and say it, they had to guess. But, for all that they did, this was just one case they couldn't solve.
Dean and Kate would get coffee together in the mornings. Garcia had caught them a few times at her local coffee shop. Dean knew Kate's order straight from memory as if he'd known it all his life. And she always knew his food order. Just as if she had known it all her life.
They were so in sync on cases that they didn't even had to look at one another to know what the other needed. A case file, a coffee, a screwdriver. That one had been an odd one, something no-one could explain. But Kate found one anyway and handed it to Dean as he was stood in the kitchen listening to the creaking of the cupboard door.
They were always next to one another as well. Dean still did his job as Team Leader of course, and treated everyone the same. But there was just something about his connection to Kate that made it seem different. It ran deeper than even, as the team suspected, Kate and Dean knew.
"I wonder what happened that night." JJ said aloud as herself, Emily, Spencer and Derek sat at the four seats whilst Kate and Dean sat opposite one another at the two seats at the end of the plane, talking and even laughing every now and then.
"What night?" Spencer asked, moving another chess piece.
"When they were kidnapped." JJ said. "They were gone for maybe two hours? And everything since then, they've been like, well..." JJ just nodded towards the pair at the end of the plane.
"Neither of them have talked about it." Emily mentioned. "Maybe they finally talked?"
"Whilst being in a killer's grasp?"
Luke shrugged. "She was put in danger. She was the first of any of us to get a hit whilst out in the field since he took over after Hotch. Maybe that's what changed it?"
"Well, either way, they're both happier." JJ said, her eyes still focused on the pair.
Emily quickly looked over her shoulder. She could see Dean with a clear view, but could only see part of Kate since she was lay with one leg up on the chair.
"Are we sure there's not more to it? I mean, have any of you seen Kate like this before?"
"No."
This was the generic answer becuase, as much as they had all seen Kate happy and smiling and laughing, something about this was...different. And as much as it was their job to read people, there was just something about these two they couldn't put their finger on.
Dean and Kate had gone from hating one another, the hate simply radiating off the gaze they gave one another to something more than friends.
"Maybe they're soulmates?" Spencer offered.
"Soulmates are just a myth." Luke replied.
"Well, during Ancient Greece it was said at the beginning of time humans were first created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces but with the Gods fearing their power, Zeus split them in half condeming them to always be in search for their other half. Maybe they finally found their other half?"
It was plausable. As much as it was a myth. It was once a belief. Maybe they had found their soulmate. Maybe that was why they couldn't put a finger on it? It was something stronger than just love and friendship. It was a soul connection.

A City of Bells
Chaper VI — Part IV
The rest of the day was exhausting. When the Dean and Felicity had disappeared there was a constant stream of ladies to change their library books before the shop shut for the day. Ladies with library books could be very irritating, Jocelyn found. They wanted the perfect book without knowing what it was called or who it was by, and when nothing in the library seemed to be just right they blamed Jocelyn. On the rare occasions when they did know what they wanted it was always out and they again blamed Jocelyn.
“I want a nice book,” they would say to him.
“What kind?” he would say.
“Oh, just nice … By the way, I didn’t like the second book by that man, I can’t remember his name, but you know who I mean; it was quite different from his first.”
“But he couldn’t write the same one over again, could he?”
“Well, anyway, I didn’t like it, and I don’t know why you gave it to me. Can’t you find me a really nice book?”
Or they would say, “I want a book for my husband to read over the week-end.”
“What sort of book?” he would say with a little sigh, for week-end husbands were the worst problem of all.
“Something he hasn’t read before.”
“What has he read before?”
“Really, he reads so many I can’t keep pace. You choose. You’re a man and you ought to know what men like.”
“What did he say about the last one I sent him?”
“He said he wasn’t senile yet.”
After lunch there was Felicity to be seen off at the station. They travelled down in the bus, accompanied by Henrietta and Hugh Anthony, so that conversation was impossible. The only really private remark that Felicity managed to murmur in a moment’s quiet was, “Read that story of Ferranti’s before I come back.”
“You’re as bad as Grandfather,” sighed Jocelyn. “I’m a jaded bookseller, not a magician.”
Then, when Felicity had gone, Mixed Biscuits had to be exercised. Jocelyn and the children took him round by the Palace, his favourite walk, because he could bark at the swans on the moat. At the fat end of the Market Place yet another of the archways in which Torminster abounded led to the great trees and green grass that surrounded the moated Bishop’s Palace. If the houses in the Close, hidden behind their high walls, could be seen with the eyes of imagination as fortresses, the Palace was one in actual fact. Grey, battlemented walls, with loopholes for arrows, surrounded it and its gardens, completely hiding them from sight, and a wide moat, brimful of water, surrounded the walls. The portcullis was still there, and the drawbridge that linked this warlike island to the peace of Torminster.
As they stood watching, the swans obligingly rounded the curve of the moat and sailed royally towards the drawbridge, their necks curving and sinister, their snowy wings graciously folded. Mixed Biscuits barked ecstatically, but Henrietta did not like them. “They’re like snakes,” she said.
The foremost swan turned gracefully towards her and reared his head almost as though he meant to shoot out a fanged, poisoned tongue, but thinking better of it he fixed upon her for a moment the swan’s cold, inhuman stare, and then turning from her with beautiful contempt he pulled with his beak the bell-rope that hung from the Palace wall. He rang it once, imperiously, his concubines falling into place behind him, and instantly a human menial showered bread from a window. This ringing of the bell was the superb accomplishment of the swans of Torminster, an accomplishment that had made them world-famous … Indolent black beaks were lowered to the bread and the crescents of curved necks met other, reflected crescents, and formed together flawless circles … Billowy white feathers, lying on blue water, had the snowy softness of cumulus clouds on a summer day.
“They may be lovely,” said Jocelyn, “but they’re certainly rude birds. Let’s look for the kingfisher.”
They walked on under the trees until a sudden meteor flash of blue shot over the water and was gone. They stood and blinked, but there was nothing there except the unchanging grey walls and their mirrored reflection.
“It’s like a falling star,” said Henrietta.
“Why?” said Hugh Anthony.
“Well, it’s there and then it isn’t there.”
“Too lovely to be permanent,” said Jocelyn gloomily, and wondered if it was true that Felicity had ever been in Torminster.
“We’re coming back to tea with you so as to cheer you up,” said Henrietta.
“Oh, are you?” said Jocelyn. “Thank you.”
“We’ll play hide-and-seek all over your house,” said Hugh Anthony.
“Oh, will we?” said Jocelyn. “Thank you.”

Today i thought of Hans and Midori visiting the PT verse so lemme share my silly thoughts otay...
I feel like Hans would be SO hype when seeing Vigilante bc he's still a bit of a web for Americans (even if he's living in America he doesn't get to experience much of it unfortunately) so seeing a REAL COWBOY in the flesh would be like sooo epic for him sjdgskdgdh
Also i can see him fighting for his life trying to get Noisette to give him his order correctly and she just constantly fails to prepare it 😭
As for Midori I FEEL LIKE NOISE WOULD END UP ACCIDENTALLY SCARING HER bc y'all know Noise he would just drop in ready to throw bombs and stuff and suddenly there's a little girl and she's going to fucking cry because what the fuck is this a terrorist attack who is this man and he's like 😧 because he doesn't want to upset a kid ........
If that did happen i feel like Peppino would instantly go into papa bear mode and just get in front of her and cover her and shit
She really doesn't like being touched by strangers but given the circumstances she can try overlook her uncomfort
Like overall she would be so overwhelmed but also having a good time tbh 😭
I think she would LOVE Brick
Same w Hans I think he would be kinda freaked out at first but then like oh okay it's not so bad
Same cannot be said about Bruno they both would be soooo scared but maybe Midori would be more accepting considering she saw things akin to him before and he is just so nice...
He would actively TRY to behave btw like he would get almost shy around her like his. His papa bear instincts too kicked in both Peppino's literally saw this kid and were like "oh i gotta keep her safe" 🥺🥺😭😭
Btw i feel like Midori would just kinda Roll with it like sure there's goopy monsters and talking food whatever who cares might as well be true but Hans would be so ... Confused? I guess he's just more used to regular completely human humans so he would be just so thrown off by all these nonhumans 💀
Btw Midori would also visit Noisette and she would get SO hype while Midori is just there like 🧍 as Noisette rambles on and on about stuff
Nice change of pace for her to be surrounded by people who are extremely nice to her for no ulterior motives tho... She would do a decent job at keeping it together but it all would be so 💥 internally
Btw if Pepperman and Vigilante met i think they would hate each other but constantly hide it with pretty charismatic speech because that's what they fucking do baby!!!!
I feel like Midori would like Gus also :) he's very calm and he's very kind and his rat is friendly and just his vibe is very peaceful
Btw must say this would also be kinda overwhelming for Peppino who's like trying SOOO hard to appear likeable and cool and normal and stuff in front of his partner's bestie and kid 😭😭 he would probably relax later on the stay though
I feel like Hans and him would even manage to get along to a degree :)
OH RIGHT HANS EVEN SPEAKS ITALIAN THEY COULD EVEN FUCKING BOND OVER THAT A LITTLE 🥺🥺
I can see the Noise sitting on the back annoyed at not knowing what they are saying msdhndhf CUZ HE NOSY
Btw after scaring her he would try to make up for it try to comfort her and or explain the situation..... Like he would genuinely be so upset about making her scared 😭
Btw if Hans somehow ran into Pizzahead i feel like that would be the last straw like he would straight up be like nah that's too far I'm not dealing with this while Pizzahead stands like 😊❓

Tumblr media
Rating: ★★★★☆ Descriptors: Captivating, whimsical, sensory Recommended by: darbyisescaping on TikTok Recommended for: The spiritualist within us all
I was originally drawn to this book for a couple of reasons, but mainly I took interest in the Appalachian setting. I have family history in that area, and I have always heard fascinating things about the folklore surrounding those mountains. I had my assumptions going into this novel about how the Appalachian narrative would come into play. I honestly expected a much more negative light to be shown on the culture there, but I was pleasantly surprised by the emphasis on community that was shared. Don't get me wrong, the negatives were there, too, but the message of found family strongly comes into play in this story.
The blurb above covers the basis of what you need to know about this story, but there is ultimately so much more than what meets the eye. Spoilers may be ahead.
With themes of community, sisterhood, and found family playing an integral role, I wish sometimes that this book had not been entirely from one point-of-view. Mel was a well-rounded protagonist, yes, and the moments of Sarah's memories were a nice change of pace. But there were so many other characters that I wish we had gotten to know on a more intimate level. Mel kept many people at arm's length, although her internal monologuing made it clear how she cared for each of them. I would have loved diving deeper into their stories and all the background movements at play.
This book also leans into the mystery genre, as it builds around an unsolved murder. There are themes of religious cults and corruption of power, but it becomes fairly obvious who will win in the end. I never quite felt the fear that I think was intended, so much as I felt all the tension surrounding the antagonists. Even so, the evil powers that be are those of people you could meet in real life. The author truly encapsulates those small town politics - the greed, the corruption - and how they poison the community and more.
While it is never outright stated, witchcraft is a large part of the story. Folklore, nature appreciation and even idolization, herbal medicine, the ritualistic nature of mundane tasks, etc. It does not try to hide its message, but it never claims to be what it truly is. I have my own history with witchcraft, so a lot of the things described in the story spoke to me in a way that I'm not sure others will understand. It was a realistic depiction, in my humble opinion, right up until the end, but I was hardly disappointed in the ending.
This was a slow read and a slow build to the climactic portion. In fact, if I'm remembering right, I do not believe any real action takes place until the last five chapters or so. There is a lot of intrigue and tension building, but the resolution certainly takes its time to accumulate. I think the slowness is realistic in terms of how long something like this would take in the real world, but it could be a deterrent to some. There were times where I was tempted to set it aside, but those last five chapters drew me in - I was so glad I finished it. In fact, those last few chapters are what made me rate this so highly.
The writing is beautiful, but it is the epitome of purple prose. It reads almost like poetry. The descriptions are frequent and whimsical, whether it is something so simple as a field or the fragrance of baked bread. It is sensory overload and, at times, to a fault. I think the intent was to make the real world seem more magical than mundane, and I respect that message. Life is magical. The world is magical. It takes time to really appreciate the beauty around us, and I do love a bit of whimsy here and there. Yes, folk magic is a key player in this story, but I believe some things could have been shortened or omitted entirely. It was a captivating read in the sense that I felt fully immersed in the setting, and it spoke to the spiritualist in me, despite some excessive moments.
All in all, I ended up really loving the book. It felt personal to a journey I do not often speak of, and I appreciated the magic of this small, Appalachian town and its community. It loses one star only for the flowery writing and the slow pace, but it makes up for it in so many other ways. I am beyond glad I finished this book. I think it will sit with me for a long while.

You and Eren have got it going on for a few hours with him and his titan stamina plunging into you without letting you rest for a minute. You haven't even kept track of how long it's been or how many times he's made you cum that night, only focusing on his cock stretching you open and the way he is holding your throat. "Eren, I need to clean up, Im so sorry I didn't know this would happen, oh my-" You wail while pushing your hands over your face but instead of him stopping he just snaps his hips against yours harder and says:
"No. You're doing it again" Needless to say, you do, indeed.
Erwin Smith:
On your break you had snuck inside Erwin's office to steal a couple of kisses which soon ended up with you laying on the table all over his paperwork and him taking out his emotions on your poor pussy, to the point where you swear someone's going to walk in with a noise complain- not just due to your loud moans- but also due to the fact that his unsteady table is repeatedly creaking on the wooden floor.
"Erwin, I'm so close, Erwin I-ERWIN" You scream as you realize what is actually happening and not being able to hold it in. Both of you are freaking the fuck out. On any other situation he would find this really hot and treat you so good for squirting on him but you just came all over important papers which needed to be delivered awfully soon and neither has zero idea of what the hell you're supposed to do now. You freaking out must have been even louder than your sex noises and now you're adamant that everyone heard.
This was a different walk of shame
Levi Ackerman:
He had just changed the sheets to your shared bedroom when you walked in half naked after your shower, instantly igniting something inside him. The past few weeks had been really tiring for both and the only way to take your exhaustion away was having you bounce on his cock until you were in tears and shaking.
"You're gonna cum baby? I'm so fucking close too" He whispered in your ear like a lullaby in-between heavy breaths as he moved your hair out of your face and locked his eyes with yours. His movements were so gentle and passionate until you both grew desperate for your release and soon he was guiding your hips faster and sloppier while smacking your ass. It wasn't long until you started shaking while he filled you up. After you both came down from your highs you gained awareness of your surroundings and immediately shrunk to yourself.
"What are you hiding away for?"
"You just changed the sheets"
"I can always put another ones" He said awkwardly as you tried to shift away from his lap, when he pulled you right back in "It would be a shame if i changed them while they're only this wet. We might as well just ruin them completely"
Connie Springer:
Sasha and Jean were sleeping on the couch next to you after a nice dinner and Connie was feeling really turned on, right from the start of the night when you felt his fingers creeping up inside your panties and circling over your clit before teasing their way inside.
"Can we at least go somewhere isolated? I feel bad for-" You choked trying not to make a sound as his finger where now dipping in and out of your cunt in a desperate need of feeling your walls clench around them "Connie-"
"It's too comfy here, try to be more quiet baby" He whispered back as he lifted your skirt and pushed his tip inside not letting it all in but rather slipping it in and then pulling out and rubbing on your clit until you felt yourself cumming. Hard.
You were trying so hard to not make a noise until you realized what actually happened and turned around to look at your boyfriend in shock with heat rising up your cheeks. This cheeky motherfucker was looking back at you with the biggest smirk before plunging his entire length inside. Definitely proud of himself... And you definetely have to clean up before a) Jean and/or Sasha wake up b) Captain Levi haunts your dreams.
Jean Kirschstein:
Jean and you had been sent on different expenditions for the week so it was safe to say that you really missed spending time with each other. And him inside you.
Once he closes his room's door he already has you pushed against the wall and taking you right there while standing up. Jean is the romantic type but missing you made him desperate for your touch. You were sure you were seeing stars at one point, the way he pressed against you was magnificent and it just kept getting better and better until you felt the bubble inside you burst and soon your juices were everywhere on the floor. Everywhere.
You instantly felt like hiding away and audibly apologized while he still fucked the shit out of you. Confused he started slowing down and voiced his concern over your sudden apology until he realized what went down and blushed. 'Thats it, its over' you thought. Suddenly the most unexpected thing happened. A huge smile crept on his face "I made you squirt! Oh my god you look so hot, I bet Eren would never be able to make a girl sq-" He exclaimed before you kicked his leg.
Armin Arlet:
Armin is such a sweet young man. He had you laid on the bed for him as he slowly fucked into you, gasping in between kisses and telling you just how much he loves you. Gaining more confidence in yourself your moans became louder and louder and soon his pace changed into sharp and quick thrusts.
Your orgasm hit you like a freight train and cherished the way he was the one to make you scream and breathe like that. He felt so blessed that you chose him as the man to have inside your velvet walls and-
Why is the bed wet? Did the rain get through the wooden roof? Why are you trying to hide away? Armin genuinely had no clue.
"Is everything okay baby? Do you feel uncomfortable with the waters?" He asked as more color rose up to your cheeks, refusing to look in his eyes as you awkwardly tried to explain what had happened was not a leak in the roof "What did you say?"
"I squirted"
"Oh"
"Yes"
"This is way more exciting than a leaking roof...Way more"
Reiner Braun:
Reiner is an emotional man and it shows when you get intimate with each other. One time he has you on all fours, with a finger deep in your asshole as he rails your guts.
"Noone else can fuck you like that fuck- what is it baby, is there anyone else that will fuck you this good? Have you crying from their cock? Use your words princess come on" He gasped as his own tears were threatening to fall, seeking emotional validation as well as pleasure as you tried to form a coherent sentence while sobbing "Didn't think so darling, you're such a whore for me"
And in the heat of the moment the offspring of his actions and words erupted from your throat as a loud scream and your juices squirted all over his lap for the first time. The sighting made Reiner cum in an instant and neither had the energy to talk about it, until he embraced you tightly from behind and thanked you for allowing him to be with you and sharing your most vulnerable moment with him.
Berthold Hoover:
His cock felt so good as you bounced on it . In a way it was therapeutic and for the past 7 minutes you've been in this position you've felt constantly on the edge and your thighs burned until sweet release washed you over and soon you were clasping poor Bert's shoulders as you screamed and squirted all over him while he pulled his dick out of your spent pussy and slapped its head on your clit as he watched more liquid come out.
After your orgasm died down a little, instant shame washed over you and you tried hopping away before he hugged you tightly and swayed you without realizing that hes accidentally rubbing you on his cock again and that you are about to pass out....
Ymir:
Ymir is a big tease. A really big one. Proof being her refusing to finally push her fingers inside your soaked slit, instead choosing to just rub up and down while slipping half an inch inside before you grew desperate and moved your own fingers to your clit and rubbing vigorously.
"Fuck" You heard her exclaim before plunging two of her fingers inside "Don't stop touching yourself baby, wanna make you cum like that" She commanded as her fingers dove in and out as fast as she could while you screamed under her touch. Your orgasm came fast and before you knew it, Ymir was soaking wet with your juices . "Never knew my girl could squirt, makes me wish I ate you out instead" She says before diving in.
Mikasa Ackerman:
It was a quiet night with Mika as you laid on your bed next to each other. Your conversation ended with your fingers in her pussy and hers in yours. Both struggled with the pace as you chased your release and her moans in your ear caused you to lose control and instantly let go and clench around her fingers as clear liquid soaked the sheets right beneath you and she turned her head to look at you in awe.
"I'm so sorry Mikasa I didn't know this would-"
"Do you think I can do this too?" She asked with flushed cheeks and an innocent look on her face.
"Eh? Squirt?" You asked and before she had the chance to nod you took out the dildo from your drawer and plunged it deep into her dripping pussy.

A FEAST - Azriel x readder. Prompt - Reader is injured and knocked out for days. Cassian gets him to finally leave your side for one meal and Nyx brings a guest with him...
"The Dragons Song is the best one, hands down." Nesta argued, hacking through the brush.  "That one is full of the same scenes every time." You judged, pushing a branch out of the way. The jungle was a mess of twists and turns to work through, but thankfully one of the fishermen on the dock had sold you a compass at a descent price. "A little more right for a few more miles and we'll be there." You steered her on course.  "At least it dosent say 'honeydew' every scene." She made a fake gagging noise and you laughed. The sound was muffled in the crowded forest. She hacked her way through the brush, one vine at a time. Until you finally reached the clearing. It was hot in the direct sun, a few degrees different than what the shade of the forest had been. You paced the perimiter, meeting her at the other side. "You mean Cassian dosen't like honeydew?" You wiggled your eyebrows at her.  "Az does?" She challenged, earning a laugh from you. "The ones that you like are predictable beyond measure." You countered, earning a quick smile before your attention snapped across the meadow. To a giant hog serpent with venomous tusks that gleamed with their clear liquid. You swore and you and Nesta both drew swords at the same time.  + Nesta ended the hog, but not before it had the chance for those razor sharp tusks to marr your legs with deep wounds. The venom stung, flowing into your bloodstream and paralyzing you slowly. You gasped at the sheer blinding pain it brought. "Nes-" You choked out between sobs. "Tell Az... Tell Az I love him." You smiled to her, putting a hand on her cheek. "No, no way. You're gonna tell him yourself. Stay awake. We're on the way." She reached deep to that bond to Cassian, and a flare of alertness greeted her. Then, a thrill of fire. "On the way. Rhys will be there in a few. Are you okay?" "Fine, she's delirious. She needs a healer and a detox for the venom." She thought back, sighing when she felt Rhys' presence. "Wheres Az?" You managed out of your chattering teeth. You were losing the fight against the venom quickly. It would have you under in a few minutes if Rhys didn't hurry to a healer. He placed a hand on you and darkness surrounded.  "Cassian will-" He started to Nesta, "I know, get her safe." She rushed, urging him to winnow you already. When Cassian saw the amount of blood spilled, he cursed.  "Most of it was the beast." Nesta cleaned her sword on an overgrown leaf that jutted down into the meadow.  Her hands shook when she sheathed it. "Nes." He stopped her when she turned. "Nes..." He repeated, giving her a long look. She tried to hide her face, the terror there. "Lets go." He pulled her to his side and took off, holding her close to him. He said nothing about the tears that flowed to his shoulder. He just gripped her tighter.   + Azriel had nearly broken the door when he stormed in. And he hadn't left your side since. Nesta stayed when she could, letting Azriel relax enough to sleep now and again. He trusted her to wake him if anything changed in your status.  When he woke, he heard his brother's voice first. Quiet an hurried in tone, him and Nesta argued by the door. "He wont leave. You've already tried, just leave him alone." Nesta was scolding. Cassian gripped her hands, then whipped his head over to his brother when he saw him stretching on the bench.  "Hey Az-" Cassian smiled, bounding over to his brother like a puppy. "You remmeber Madja saying it may take up to a week, right? How about you come to dinner up at the house with us."  "I dont want to miss if she-" "Come on, Nyx will be there. Mor's coming back from the continent tonight too." Cassian tempted, poking at the old flame Azriel carried for the female. She was still incredible, and one of Azriels best friends, but he no longer felt that flame towards her. You had come along and crushed it with a bat of your eyelashes and a few quick witted insults at Cas. Nesta started pulling him away, giving you an apologetic smile. "It would be nice for you to be there is all he means." She began pushing him out the door, despite his protests.  "Think about it! She wouldn't want you to be mourning while she's alive!" Cassian shouted, earning a smack from Nesta. Azriel smiled despite the dark nature of the situation. He pulled a chair up beside your resting body. It had been three days. How would he know if you were awake or not? He tugged on that dark link you shared together, and came up with the same unresponsiveness as before. He sighed, but took your hand anyway, falling asleep again to the sound of your soft breathing. + He decided to stay for just an hour. He would spare his family that much. He kissed you goodbye and tried his best to ignore the guilt he felt for leaving you behind. But Cassian was right. He knew that when you woke up you'd be upset about him not going. So he put on his brave face and flew up to the house of wind, to the joy of everyone. They clapped upon his arrival, making his cheeks burn. Mor gave him a hug and promised to catch up. But she hovered around a fae you hadn't met yet. A female that she watched with wide sparkling eyes. Azriel's chest bloomed with pride at the sight of them being so close, so full of life for each other.  He looked away from the two, and sent his shadows out to Rhys. And found what he was seeking. He darted over to the end of the table where the high lord and lady sat across from each other. The head table was empty, and filthy. "That's a small monster if I've ever seen one." He bent and scooped Nyx up from under the table. He wriggled and laughed.  "No monster Azzy." Nyx babbled, pulling on his uncle's hair.  "No pulling hair!" Rhys scolded, making Nyx laugh even more. Feyre sighed. "You're just having fun. How about we go for a fly down to-" "Don't say it, Az." Rhy's tone went from scolding to pleading. Even though the baby couldn't fly yet, it was one of his favorite things to do. He could see how Rhys' son would be skilled at flying with just the way he angled his head when accompanying. Az poked at Nyx's belly and they fought like that for a few moments, Nyx eventually winnowing away with the joy only a child could have.  Azriel froze, looking to the high lord and lady for comfort. Having a baby disappear in your arms was strange, even for Fae babies. "When'd he start doing that?" "Four days ago." Feyre sighed. She looked utterly exhausted. "We've been having to take turns staying up with him." Rhys held her hand across the table, they shared a sweet look together then they both whipped their heads to Nyx in unison. "Dont-" Feyre warned, giving her son a stern look as he pulled at the tablecloth. Amren gave the boy a look of discouragement as well when he looked around for someone to be laughing with him. He stopped after those silver eyes met his.  Nesta gave Az a smile from across the room where she and Cassian welcomed the toddoling boy. "Let's start training, Nyxie. Come on, show me what you got." Cassian got on his knees to the floor and the two began wrestling together. Azriel took a seat beside Rhys, picking at the crackers and cheese platter before him.  "When were we planning on going back to the Island?" Rhys asked, voice low. Cassian rolled with Nyx on the ground, making Nesta laugh when the boy pulled at Cas' hair. "I'm not going until my mate is healed. Maybe you should send them, see how much trouble they can get in."  Az asked, trying to keep the hinting out of his voice. He wanted to go take care of it on his own. The mission on the Island was not complete and he didn't want to risk anyone again. He'd rather do it and make sure it was a finished job. He couldn't bare to see you be hurt over a fellow Valkyrie getting hurt either. "You know they would kill each other.... or themselves trying to protect the other." Feyre smiled despite herself. She knew it was the truth. Her sister being happy for once was a joy like no other.  "Mom and Dad need to eat, Az you too." Cassian ordered. He bounced the boy on his legs, making him pretend fly. Azriel picked at the plate that appeared before him. The warm meat and stew looked incredible, but he couldn't bring himself to eat. The guilt was the only thing that weighed in his stomach. "I should go check on-" He began to say, folding his napkin back on the table. "How is she?" Cassian interrupted from the floor. Nesta was playing with Nyx now, rattling a toy around for him. Azriel kept his calm mask on, trying to fight the urge to check on you. The black haired boy looked to her with upset eyes. "Auntie?" He said, voice a bit whiny.  "Auntie is napping, she'll be back in a little while." Nes assured. Azriel's heart squeezed at the love Nyx showed. Then, the boy was gone.  The parents were digging into their plates. It was likely the only meal they'd shared together in the four days of taking turns watching Nyx. "Rhys-" Az began, terror sweeping his gut. Nyx was no where in sight. Nesta and Cassian both shot to their feet when they didn't spot him.  Then, the plates in front of Azriel clattered and shot food everywhere. Mor and her date yelped and fled their chairs, mor pushing the other female behind her. Azriel's shadows coiled, siphons glared ready to fight.  And Rhys didnt move as he observed the waking fae before him. The tug on Azriel's bond went taut. "Auntie here!" Nyx celebrated, patting your chest. You groaned and cracked open your eyes to see Azriel's shadows swirling about you. "Are you okay?!" Azriel gripped your shoulders,  his warm hands seeping into your thin shirt. The sweats you wore were now stained with whatever food had been on the table. Rhys put down his fork slowly. "I wasn't expecting to be this kind of snack Az..." You said softly. Rhy's cheeks went red. Mor laughed first, her date looked to her with bewilderment and worry. Cassian rushed over and picked Nyx up from your stomach. "I think there's a fork in my back." You said, voice gruff.  A hysterical laugh bubbled from Azriel, then the rest of them were cracking up. "Nyx... Thanks." Azriel breathed, and the boy began clapping.  + Once you were back on your feet and Madja had given you the go ahead to take it easy, you asked Azriel to go on a walk with you. The stretch of your legs was sore, but the good kind of sore that left you feeling better and better with each step. The cool wind from the Sidra whipped around you. He wrapped a wing around both of you as you reached the apex of a bridge.  "I owe that baby everything." He laughed, squeezing your hand tighter. The city was quiet, only soft music coming from the Rainbow and the calm trickle of the Sidra sounding out. "Nyx the Valkyrie deliverer."  You laughed together, leaning against the railing on the bridge. The streetlights above cast a wonderful color over you, illuminating you both in a silvery shade that matched the moonlight. "I love you." You said, resting your head against his shoulder. It had been a long night, and who knew how long of sleeping... but you were tired.  "Love you." He nudged you away so he could hook his finger under your chin and angle you up to kiss him. You wrapped your arms around him and compiled, letting the bond hum through you like a song.

Shot Heard Around the World
pairing: Jack Sloane x Reader
prompt: 13. "Because I love you, you asshole." + 26. "Is that blood?" "No."
"Y/n!" The sound of the gunshots was practically deafening, but somehow you still heard Jack's voice through them. You fell to the ground with an unimaginable pain. This wasn't just a flesh wound; it had to be much worse. Two bodies fell to the ground behind you, and then Jack was by your side. She was saying something, but you couldn't hear her over your own blood rushing in your ears. She looked frantic though, and you felt incredibly guilty for worrying her.
"Let's get her out of here," Gibbs said as he pulled Jack away from you. You closed your eyes as medical personnel rushed in to take you away to the hospital.
"I have to go with her Gibbs," Jack told him. Gibbs nodded in understanding. Jack gave him a pat on the shoulder in thanks before rushing to catch up with you. She held onto your hand the entire way up to the emergency room, only leaving your side whenever the surgeons took you to the operating room. Then, she spent her time pacing around the surgical waiting room as Gibbs, McGee, Bishop, and Torres sat in their seats.
"She's stable and in recovery. It'll be a few hours before she'll wake up, but if one of you would like, you're welcome to stay in her room with her. We find it's nice to wake up with a familiar face after surgeries like this." Jack felt like a weight had been lifted off of her chest when the doctor told her you were okay. Nobody stepped up to wait in your room. That was Jack's job, the only one she'd be able to do until she saw with her own eyes that you were really fine.
"Y/n," Jack gasped as she saw you in the hospital bed. You looked so small and scary laying there with tubes and wires surrounding you. She had never seen you like that, nor did she ever think she would. You were supposed to be the hero, her hero. She couldn't imagine going on if she had lost you. After all, in most stories the hero isn't supposed to die, and Jack hoped that her story wasn't an exception. It was the least she thought she deserved after everything the universe had put her through.
Jack paced around your room for at least an hour and half before she tired herself out and had to sit down. She held your hand in hers and watched it. Stable meant that you'd made it out of surgery with a pulse. It wasn't a guarantee that you'd be completely there afterwards, and Jack realized that the longer your hand sat limply in hers. Four hours later and she finally felt some movement when your fingers twitched against hers. Jack tried not to get too excited about it, but she couldn't help but shoot up straight as board in her seat at the small movement.
It was another couple of hours of sitting there in your room before something else happened. Jack sat there for all of it wide awake. You didn't move much more after the initial twitch until you woke with a small gasp. It was one of pain, like you were experiencing getting shot all over again. This time there were no deafening shots being fired all around you or general chaos ensuing. Your eyes shot open, and doctors rushed in as your monitor started beeping rapidly. Jack sat back and out of the way as the doctors sedated you. You went right back to sleep after that, and Jack sat there waiting until you were lucid again.
"Hey there," she greeted you. Her voice was quiet and raspier than usual. You weren't ashamed to admit the tingle it left in the pit of your stomach. Jack's morning voice was always so hot to you, but you could tell from looking at her that she hadn't gotten much sleep. "How are you feeling?"
"Like I've been hit by a semi. Is that blood?" Your brows furrowed as you pointed at Jack's shirt. She looked down and realized that there was in fact blood on her shirt. Everything had been so hectic for her since you got shot that she hadn't even thought to change.
"No," Jack lied. You gave her a disapproving look and Jack pulled her jacket shut to hide what she could of the stains. "That's not important. I'm just glad that you're here."
"You and Gibbs were in there with me, not like I'd die on either of you," you told her. Jack smiled at the thought. She knew about your history working with Gibbs, and how important the man was to you. The fact that you held her in the same regard of importance as him was nothing short of an honor. "Besides, do you think a couple flesh wounds is gonna stop me? I'm a fucking marine babe."
"You're definitely something..." Jack trailed off. You scoffed, and she shot you a playful smile. "You did have me worried though, really worried."
"Why?" you asked, as if the thought of Jack worrying about you was ridiculous. She could go on without you, you were sure of it. To you, the world wouldn't stop without you. If anything, you sometimes you thought her life would have been better without you in it, even if it hurt to think about.
"Because I love you, you asshole." Jack swatted at you. You winced when her hand hit your shoulder, and immediately Jack's face fell.
"Ow, my feelings! I'm not an asshole," you huffed. Jack ducked her head down to hide her yawning as the exhaustion of the past 24 hours settled in with her. "I love you too, by the way. So long as we're saying things to each other."
"But if we're not saying things?" Jack asked. You sat up as much as you could and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth. Jack cracked a smile and gave you a kiss, one that made your heart skip a beat or two.

Since that phone call with Penelope, she’d been over nearly every night for a week with plates of treats and onslaughts of apologies. Each time she came knocking, you told her there was no amount of persuasion that could change your mind. And yet the following night, she’d be there, a new type of pastry in hand and a new set of reasons why Spencer was worth the trouble.
First, she brought blueberry muffins and reasoned that deep below that prickly exterior, he really was everything she promised –– sweet and caring. But that must be deep, deep down. Like, The Lost City of Atlantis, deep down, because you didn’t expect it to surface any time soon.
Then, she brought fudge brownies and explained that his behavior wasn’t personal –– he was getting snippy with everyone lately. And while you maintained that anybody would have a hard time getting along with Spencer, you were absolutely positive that it was now impossible for you.
Quite frankly, it wasn’t just Spencer who was unwilling to play nice. You hated him. More than you’ve ever hated a stranger.
You wished him a lifetime riddled with minor inconveniences that would drive him to the edge of insanity. You wanted him to miss all his trains by just a quarter of a minute; close enough so that he could see it leave the platform, knowing he almost made it on. You wanted him to constantly feel like he was about to sneeze. You wanted his socks to be perpetually wet, and if he should happen to put on a dry pair? You hoped he stepped in a puddle.
That was all you could think about as you laid out on your couch, munching on one of Penelope’s lemon bars while she paced around your apartment. She kept going on and on advertising Spencer to you. As annoying as it was, she was also saving you a ton on groceries that week.
For the most part, you filtered her out. Not a single word that came out of her mouth was believable anymore, especially not when she was talking about Spencer. Despite what Penelope thought of him, you saw in him what she refused to accept.
As her speech came to a close, she looked at you like she expected a response to dignify her prattling.
“Give it a rest, Penelope. He’s a lost cause,” you laughed dryly. “He doesn’t need –– nor does he want –– anyone in his life.” At the very least, he definitely didn’t want you.
“Yes, that’s the problem!” If you’d been listening to her, you would’ve heard her saying the same thing. “He doesn’t want to date!”
Your head just about exploded when she said that.
There had been countless, fruitless conversations about this, and all along she saw the gaping hole in her supposedly airtight plan?
“If he doesn’t want to DATE, then WHAT was the point of this?!” Your fingers pressed the bridge of your nose; you suddenly felt a headache coming on. Funny how it always happened around the time of day that Penelope came to visit.
Penelope stopped pacing. She stalked over to your couch, picked your legs up by your ankle, and moved them to make space for herself. You begrudgingly sat upright as she took her place beside you.
“Because he’s not himself anymore. He’s not open like he used to be. Not to the people who care about him the most, and certainly not to the world.”
Penelope toyed with the hem of her dress, distracting herself from her quivering lip before pressing on, “Spencer Reid has always wanted love. And it’s not right that he no longer believes he can have it.”
You hadn’t seen Penelope look so desperate until now. It was concerning. Because what could make her look so hopeless? What could make Spencer so hopeless?
“Penelope, I don’t know what’s wrong with your little friend, but… there’s a lot more bubbling inside him than you’re letting on.”
She chewed up the insides of her cheeks, wincing to herself at your incredibly accurate claim.
“You are hiding something, aren’t you?” You narrowed your eyes on her. You were no detective, or whatever exactly her team did, but she was just awful at concealing her thoughts.
“It’s not my story to tell,” she murmured.
She could already feel herself about to give it away and doubled down her mental defenses against it. Focusing extra hard on keeping Spencer’s privacy intact. If only you knew her track record with secrets, you’d be proud of her for staying quiet this long.
“What isn’t your story?”
“That his girlfriend died last year.”
She spilled it before she even realized what she was saying. You’d just asked so nonchalantly that she forgot she was talking aloud. Penelope turned purple, terrified now that the whole truth was out there.
You couldn’t even take satisfaction in the fact that your trick worked. You were just as mortified as Penelope, and if you weren’t already sitting down, you knew you’d need to. You assumed there was something deeper going on with him, you didn’t think it was a dead girlfriend. That was some Nicholas Sparks shit.
“He pretends like he’s fine but I know he’s not. And if he found a way to move on, maybe he’d start feeling as okay as he claims to be,” she sniffled before snot could run from her nose, tears lining the rims of her eyes. “I know I should’ve given you the full picture, but I didn’t think you’d go for it if you knew…”
You were too floored to process it all right away. This added a whole new layer of complicated to an already uneasy arrangement.
“Well, I know you’re right about one thing. I would’ve said no.”
She gave you a set of pleading eyes, praying you’d see where she was coming from.
“I know,” she whispered defeatedly. “But maybe... now that you know, you can understand why he acts out the way he does.”
“Penelope, I can’t just… make someone move on, or –– or get them to believe in love! Especially when it’s fake.”
How on Earth did she expect you to pull that off? Did that guy from A Walk to Remember move on when Mandy Moore died? You hadn’t seen the ending of the movie, but you assumed not.
“I’m sorry, this is just… a lot bigger than the favor I thought it was ––”
“What if I could return it?” she cut in. The gears in her head started to turn, figuring ways to patch up the holes she made.
“There’s nothing I need from you.”
That couldn’t be true. Penelope looked around the room and it didn’t take her long to think of it.
“I can help you sell your art,” she tempted, gesturing to the scattered canvases. “You make all your income from this, right?”
You didn’t want to give any fuel to her fire, but you nodded. “What if… what if you didn’t have to settle for local buyers? What if I told you that you could make way more money selling them to the whole world?”
You chortled at her idea.
You were a local artist, through and through. Your art got put in local galleries and sold to local buyers. Nothing more, and that was fine with you. You realized it a long time ago that it was just a pipe dream to think you’d be more.
“I’m serious! You could get a separate painting studio, and stop living in one? Huh?” She wrapped her hand around your shoulder, waving the other in the air, urging you to picture it with her. “Imagine this: a kitchen that’s separate from your living room. A bed, inside it’s own four walls, and more than twelve feet from where you cook your meals.”
Pushing aside her so blatantly insulting your apartment, if that were a possibility, you’d want nothing more. But it already sounded foolish and you hadn’t even heard how she planned to pull it off.
“Penelope, I’m fine where I am. I make the money I need, and that’s... it’s fine.”
She gave you a pointed look. “You know, I can hack all search engine results to make sure you are what comes up first anytime someone enters the word ‘painting’, right?
An airy chuckle left your lips. Of course she could. You patted her thigh twice and stood up, prompting her to follow you to your door –– hopefully, so she can show herself to the other side of it. “Still no, Pen.”
“Just take some time to think about it!” Her voice carried through the wood as you shut it on her.
*
There was this one bench in Kenilworth Park – the one that overlooks the crystal clear pond – that you’d always been able to rely on to fix any problem.
There was hidden magic in the bushes that sprawled out from the edges of the water, surrounded by spiky green blades of overgrown grass. A simplicity you loved in baby ducklings paddling into the tiny body of water, swimming close together so they don’t get lost in, what seems to them, a whole ocean. And clarity provided by the freshest air in the world, under the shade of the big oak trees on a late summer afternoon.
But at the present, none of that came close to being enough.
The artist’s block started off as a minor inconvenience, but without your permission, had stretched into weeks of steadily declining motivation. Each new idea felt even worse than the last, and you were acutely aware that there would come a point where you’d officially hit maximum capacity for how awful they could get.
Still, that didn’t seem to light a fire under you. You happily coexisted with the blank pages of your sketchbook. Staring down at them, laying open on your lap in their stark-white glory, you felt like you were playing a waiting game. If you stared long and hard enough, maybe they’d flinch.
Unfortunately, you never got to find out who won, because your phone rang inside your pocket. As if the caller had interrupted an incredible genius at work (which couldn’t be farther from the truth), you hastily raised the phone to your ear, slamming your sketchbook shut.
“Hello?” Your voice wasn’t as kind as it could be for someone with nothing better to be doing. Two seconds later, you learned who was calling and came to regret it.
“Hi, This is Rebecca from District Arts, calling with a message from Andre ––”
“Oh, hi!” you tried to walk back your previous tone, straightening up in your seat and pitching your voice higher, “Yeah, I’ve been waiting to hear from him!”
While Rebecca intimidated you, Andre happened to be your closest friend at the gallery. He worked closely with the artists to curate their collection and help them make sales.
“Does he want to sort out what to set the opening bid prices at for my new pieces?” A handful of days ago, you sent him pictures of your new work and were waiting to hear his thoughts. You’d always been able to trust his opinion, and a vote of confidence from him might be just the thing to inspire you.
“Uhm…” There was a criminally long pause on the other side of the line, ended by Rebecca’s weary inhale. “Unfortunately, we’re calling to inform you that your pieces will not be included in the next rotation.”
For a minute, you weren’t sure what to make of what she said. You’d never heard those words before.
“What – what do you mean?” you laughed nervously. She probably misspoke. Perks of friendship aside, Andre always included you in sets.
“Ugh, let me just get him…” her voice faded away as she put the phone down.
That wasn’t exactly the reassuring statement you were looking for. In the time it took for the call to switch hands, your confusion finally melted in. And then quickly boiled into anger.
The District Arts gallery changed their entire collection every two months. The pieces shown accepted rolling bids throughout the full eight weeks, finally selling at the end of term to their highest offer. After that, the pieces got taken down, sent to happy new owners, and the entire gallery reset with entirely new works.
So if you missed one rotation, that meant waiting two months to get back in.
“Andre, how am I just cut from the gallery!” you barked before he could get a word in. If he didn’t like your work, he could’ve just said so.
“No one said that ––”
“Okay, let me rephrase.” You pinched the bridge of your nose, something you found yourself doing quite frequently lately, and took a deep breath in and out. It was seemingly just for show because it did absolutely nothing to calm you down. “Why wouldn’t you put me in the next set? I’m in all of them!”
“I know you are!” He sounded just as upset. “It’s just that… we give you the biggest space we have, because you always manage to fill it up. But this time… I’m not so sure you can.”
“That’s ridiculous,” you scoffed. “What makes you say that?” You asked that, but you knew.
“You’ve only finished three pieces… I’m worried how you’ll deliver seven more before we set up.”
“But… it’s four weeks away, I could do ––”
“And it took you four weeks to make what you have... I’m sorry. We couldn’t take that gamble.”
He took your silence as an opportunity to turn off the work talk and speak, just friend to friend.
“You know that I trust you and I’d hold that spot if I could. But, I also know what you’re going through right now, and… I don’t know, maybe letting yourself rest would be a good thing?”
Your heart paused. By, “knowing what you’re going through”, you assumed he didn’t mean the little artist’s block.
“If you’re implying that I can’t do my job because of what happened with Cyrus –”
“I’m not, I’m not....” he backtracked as quickly as he could. “But take another look at the paintings you showed me and tell me if they feel like you.”
Even if he was right, you wanted to fight him. You wanted to cry. You wanted to beg that you didn’t need that big space; you were willing to downsize and just turn in the three that you had. Even if they got shoved into the corner where hardly anybody bothered to look. You just couldn’t afford to go two months without the income.
But even with tears beading up, you realized that the gallery couldn’t afford it either. They needed to bring in money and you couldn’t do that for them this time. So they were right to go to someone who can.
“Right,” you sniffled, recollecting yourself so he can’t hear the shakiness in your voice. “I understand. It’s a big risk, like you said… It’s for the better.”
Andre tried to thank you for being understanding and spewed some sort of encouragement. The words flew over your head. You managed to toss in a few ‘mhmm’s and ‘sure’s at the right places to coast you along until the call finally ended.
As soon as it went dead, you dropped your phone to the side and brought your hands to your face, rubbing them furiously over your cheeks. Your fingertips pressed hard into your eyelids, trying to forcibly reabsorb the tears threatening to spill.
It almost worked, until you tried to breathe.
A full sob escaped in that one gulp of air and you succumbed to it. But the loud crunching noise of some pedestrian walking over the falling leaves destroyed your sense of privacy, and you quickly wiped away all signs of your breakdown. The crunching stopped just short of your bench and on instinct you flicked your eyes up to see who the intruder was.
You did a double take. It was him. That fucking asshole.
He was standing there, looking dumber than you could even remember, with his hands in his coat pockets and a curious look on his face as he watched you cry. Tucking your sketchbook under your arm in haste, you made it a point to stand up with as much aggression as possible, rolling your eyes at him.
“Don’t worry, I’m leaving,” you barked. “No need to yell at me this time.”
You bristled past him, barely refraining yourself from checking his shoulder as payback. You wanted to believe you were better than him, but it did sound incredibly tempting. He stood there for a moment before turning on his heel and following you.
“Wait,” he groaned.
You didn’t listen, neither stopping nor slowing down.
“I said wait,” he huffed as he caught up to you, popping up at your side and jogging along as you kept going.
“Yeah, because I need to listen to a guy who yells at strangers in bookstores.”
Now that you’d brought up the elephant in the room, your feet started moving even faster, working double time to get you away from him.
Damn the fact that he had those long legs. He didn’t even break a sweat trying to keep up. He was inescapable.
“Well, if you waited like I asked, you would’ve gotten an apology for the ––”
“Gee, thanks!” you yelled, stopping for only a second to turn to him and give him a mocking bow of your head, hands clasped together like you were praising at his altar. “I was waiting with bated breath for that! Thank you, kind sir, for now my life can go on.”
“Look, I’m actually sorry,” he snapped. Then in realizing the irony, softened his voice, “I’m sorry for being rude. I was having a bad day… not that that’s an excuse.”
You stared at him blankly, just watching his mouth moving quickly and waiting until it finally stopped.
“Did you need something?”
“Did you… did you not hear what I just said?!”
“No, sorry,” you smiled, voice sweet like sugar. “My ears filter bullshit. Wanna try again?”
He scoffed, looking away like he couldn’t believe you before stepping even closer. “What’s your problem?”
“Me!? The fuck –– what the fuck is your problem?” You turned and stormed off again, seething at his audacity. Spencer just couldn’t relent his annoying tendencies and followed yet again.
“My problem is that I’m trying to be nice, and you’re not letting me!”
You got a good, hard laugh out of that. “Okay, first of all, having to apologize for yelling at me and pushing me isn’t exactly the best starting point for the journey of becoming a nice person.”
“Like I said, I was having a bad day.”
Under your breath, you muttered, “Well, I hope this one’s even worse.”
“Why are you such a ––” He stopped himself from finishing that thought. Even in his worst mood, he wouldn’t cross that line.
But he didn’t need to finish it, you knew exactly where he wanted to take it. The soles of your shoes scraped against the loose gravel as you came to a grinding halt, ears ringing.
“A what?” You turned to face him, a sarcastic smile on your face growing wider as he started to shrink more and more. You got up close in his face, daring him to say what he really wanted to. So he could reinforce your belief in exactly the type of person he was. “A what?”
Spencer pursed his lips and shook his head, refusing to say it no matter how much you challenged him. If he wasn’t going to have the balls to say it, you decided to take it upon yourself.
“Tell you what, you keep thinking about it and get back to me the next time you’re in a cunty mood.”
The word he was thinking of was probably not as bad, but you had a habit of escalating things. Even if you took this one too far, you didn’t care.
Before you tried to take off again, Spencer’s hand flew to your elbow. He tugged you back, forcing you to turn around and face him. He didn’t know his own strength; without any resistance, you came stumbling into his chest, at risk of falling over if it weren’t for his tight grip on your arm.
It took you a beat to push him away with both your hands on his chest, vocalizing your disgust for being so close to him.
“Can you stop trying to disagree with me for a second? I’m trying to tell you that you’re right, I was being a… well, you know…” He avoided the word. Apparently ‘cunt’ was where he drew the line. “I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve it.”
Your nostrils were still flared and blood hot as ever, but he made you pause. He looked sincere, if not a little tinged with guilt as well. You were suspicious of it.
“You saw me crying and felt bad, didn’t you?”
He laughed darkly. “Well, I saw you, yes. Did I feel bad? No.”
“Oh, my God,” you growled, berating yourself for getting close to believing he might be capable of decency.
“I’m joking! I’m joking.” He squeezed your elbow twice in earnest. “I did feel bad, but that’s not why I wanted to say it.”
“Okay.” You weren’t ready to give him a real smile, so you flattened your lips into a thin line and nodded once slowly, and left it at that.
You still weren’t a fan, but the apology did dampen some of the resentment. Maybe he wasn’t the worst person alive. You’d settle for saying top ten most annoying, instead.
Minutes later, you came to the startling realization that he was still on the path, just two paces behind you. You flinched when you saw him out of the corner of your eye, not expecting him to still be here.
“Uhm. Where are you… why are you still following me?”
“I’m not. My car’s that way,” he gestured to the parking lot at the end of the long walkway. “I forgot my loaf for the ducks.” He didn’t mean to offer that information up, it just slipped out. He could practically see your smug expression coming before it even got there.
“You’re not supposed to feed bread to the ducks. It’s bad for them.”
“I don’t.” He didn’t care to explain this to you, but he couldn’t have you thinking he was any less competent than he really was. “It’s a special bread made from water and seeds that were ground into flour. It’s duck-safe.”
“They make duck-safe bread?” Now that was something you’d never heard before.
“No… I make duck-safe bread,” he said softly under his breath.
You didn’t know how else you were supposed to react to that besides laughing wildly.
“You make it?” He nodded like you were the crazy one here. As if he wasn’t the one spending his spare time grinding up seeds and baking loaves of bread for ducks, donning a frilly pink apron and oven mitts as he did so. At least that’s how you imagined it. “Why not just feed them the seeds?”
“Because, loose seeds will sink in the water and can potentially clog waterbeds and cause foreign bacteria growth in the pond.”
“So you… hand-make the seeds into a little loaf of bread so it doesn't do that?”
He confirmed. You pondered silently for a moment, then absolutely had to ask, “You ever eaten the duck bread before?”
Spencer was caught off guard by that question. His cheeks deepened to a rosy color.
“Yeah, well, it was the house so…” he laughed nervously and stared at his sneakers. “It’s actually not too bad.”
You weren’t entirely surprised by that. You remembered what his grocery basket looked like, and given those same options, you probably would’ve tried the duck bread too. Still, you cracked the smallest of grins at knowing he makes bread for ducks. The one, sole redeeming fact you’ve learned about Spencer.
You reached your car first, and Spencer stopped in front of it with you.
“I’m actually sorry, you know,” he whispered once more, hand resting at the top of your car door as you opened it. He wasn’t talking about the incident at the bookstore.
“Yeah…” For a while you were so busy being angry at Spencer that you forgot about your own problems.
He noticed your nose was still red around the edges, eyes still a little bleary. “Are you okay, by the way?” His voice was too soft, too genuine.
You shook your head no.
“Is there anything I can do?” You shook your head again. And then you had an awful thought.
You knew he was just offering to help just to say it, because that’s how people react when you say you’re not okay even if they don’t care. But there actually was something he could do for you… Something that Penelope could do.
“Uh, no but…” you fixed your hair and tucked it behind your ear, seamlessly switching to a flirtier voice. “If you still feel bad about the other day, you’re welcome to make it up to me.”
Spencer cocked his head to the side, unsure of how he could do that.
“Hang out with me sometime.”
“H-hang out?” You could tell that it flustered him, even if he tried to play it off. He swallowed thickly, nose twitching and brows scrunched together.
“Relax, I really do just mean hang out.” You were lying through your teeth. He didn’t need to know that.
As if he didn’t want to think about it for a second longer and just get out of this conversation as quickly as possible, he agreed without thinking it through. He didn’t even ask why an almost complete stranger would want to hang out with him.
You stuck your hand out, expecting him to hand over his cell so you could put your contact into it. He rocked on the balls of his feet, watching as you input your contact and sent yourself a text on his phone.
“Hi, this is…” you read out your message as you typed, pausing at just the right place. “What’s your name by the way?”
“Oh-uh, I’m Spencer.”
A devilish grin took over your face, hidden from his view while you were looking down at the screen. He was going to be easy to fool.

Ririka Momobami x She/Her Reader (feat. Kirari being a nuisance)
A/N: Ririka’s relationship leaves Kirari feeling a bit envious and curious. Never a good combination. I think Kakegurui Kari ruined me from ever characterizing Kirari in a proper way. Anyway, hope y’all enjoy! Word Count: 3,456 (what are the odds?!)
“Ririka, how is it that you and (Y/n) are already in the hand holding stage of your relationship?” Kirari had asked out of the blue at dinner whilst swirling her drink, watching the liquid spin around.
Ririka recognized that look in her sister’s eyes. It was a dangerous one, boredom. And if there was one thing the older twin knew about how her sister dealt with boredom, it was to stand back as far as possible and disappear into the background. She couldn’t not answer Kirari though, that would just pique her interest even further. So, Ririka assumed the best disinterested face she could muster and answered her sister’s odd query.
“(Y/n) brushed her hand against mine one day when we were walking in the school forest. We looked at each other and we just sort of gravitated towards each other. Now it’s just something we do.” Ririka shrugged before savoring the last bite of her meal. Unfortunately her answer did not yield the desired effect as Kirari leaned forward a bit in her chair, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
“So you’ve communicated your intentions telepathically. How does one go about achieving that in a relationship?”
Ririka swallowed, wishing she could have chewed just a bit longer on the delicious morsel. “Not at all. We just... read each other’s cues.”
“So it’s like gambling?” Kirari asked, intrigued.
“In a way, I suppose.” Ririka said. She didn’t think so, but if there was one thing her fish brained sister understood, it was gambling. It was just about the only reference she understood besides those related to outer space, baseball and the ocean so naturally, she applied it to everything.
“Hmm, I see.”
Ririka had a moment when she thought Kirari was satisfied and was about to excuse herself to her room. Unfortunately, Kirari wasn’t quite done with her yet.
“So will you use the same method when you share your first kiss as well?”
Ririka fumbled with the silverware before she could place it back on the table. A fatal mistake in the presence of her twin.
“You’ve already kissed then? My, Ririka, you’ve only been together a couple of months. Aren’t you moving a little too fast?” Kirari asked, an amused and all knowing smile pulled at her blue stained lips.
“I assure you my relationship is moving at a normal pace. (Y/n) has been wonderful and hasn’t pushed me into anything before I was ready.”
“Is (Y/n) often the one to make the first move then?”
“If you must know, she is. She has more experience than me when it comes to these things.” Ririka answered, eyeing the grand clock none too discreetly. She hoped Kirari would lose interest soon.
“I see, more experience then.” Kirari nodded thoughtfully.
“Yes,” Ririka sighed, “If you won’t be needing anything else, then I’m going to my room.”
“There was one thing.” Kirari spoke, pausing Ririka in her tracks. “I will be needing the mask for tomorrow. There is something I must observe.”
“Very well.” Ririka answered plainly. She knew if she turned the questions back on her sister she’d be met with riddles and she was too tired to decipher them tonight. Ririka leaned over the large table and set her mask in front of her sister. “Good night.”
“Good night.” Kirari grinned, pulling the mask up to her face just enough to cover her chilling smile. It was an action that was completely performative, that much Ririka knew. If only she could understand just what her sister was up to.
Ririka simply continued on her way, getting ready for bed in her en-suite bathroom before falling into bed and wrapping herself up like a burrito. She reached her arm out for her phone and pulled it into her cocoon, smiling as she read (Y/n)’s goodnight text. She sent one of her own and was about to put her phone back on her charger when she remembered she wasn’t going to be herself tomorrow and frowned. She messaged (Y/n) again to fill her in on the switch as she usually did when they came up. It was something she really felt compelled to do after she and (Y/n) started dating. The last thing Ririka needed was for Kirari to upset (Y/n) while masquerading around as herself. With her message sent, Ririka put her phone back on her nightstand and curled further into her burrow of blankets.
***
(Y/n) walked through the main gates of Haykkaou Academy the next morning, breezing right past the students loitering around, not quite ready to enter the property for one reason or another. Usually Ririka would be waiting nearby, but sadly this was not going to be one of those days.
(Y/n) decided she’d head right into the school and do some work at her desk or maybe gamble with her classmates if they were paying something that caught her interest. She had just finished switching her shoes at her cubby when another pair of feet stopped right beside her.
Craning her head, (Y/n) was very surprised to see a familiar theatre mask smiling down at her. A sight that she had grown used to over the past couple months she had been dating Ririka. (Y/n) stood up, confused but no less delighted by her girlfriend’s sudden appearance.
“Hey! I thought you said you were busy today.” (Y/n) said.
“...” Only a small crackle of static as Ririka took a breath reached (Y/n)’s ears.
“What’s up, is your sister driving you crazy again this morning? Is that why you’re here and not in the council room?” (Y/n) asked, closing her shoe cubby. She knew Ririka wasn’t much of a conversationalist so she wasn’t particularly bothered by the silence, but a, ‘good morning’ would be nice at the very least.
She did not receive a greeting, just a blank stare through the black holes of the mask.
“Well, I was going to go to our classroom and hang out until class started, but if you’d rather go somewhere more quiet we can do that too, what do you think?” (Y/n) asked.
“Let’s do what we normally do together in the morning.” The distorted voice replied. Not that (Y/n) could know for sure, but it almost sounded commanding.
“...Okay then. I’ll just have to change my shoes again real quick.”
(Y/n) changed her shoes and started walking back to the courtyard, pausing momentarily to give Ririka a questioning look as the masked girl watched her move.
“Ririka, are you doing alright?” (Y/n) asked. She felt like she was playing twenty questions without getting any hints.
Ririka tilted her head just slightly before falling into step beside (Y/n). Her knuckles brushed (Y/n)’s hand and made the other girl stare at her oddly from her peripheral but other than that, they continued through the students coming into the school as they left. Ririka was intermittently bumping hands with (Y/n)’s in the process until she surprised (Y/n) by taking her hand completely.
Ririka hardly ever was the first to initiate contact, much less when other students were around to witness it. Even when the president had happened upon them, Ririka would get flustered and shrink away. Now here they were in front of the school’s main entrance surrounded by students, and Ririka had scooped up her hand and laced their fingers like it was nothing. Her hand wasn’t even clammy or shaking at all. Needless to say (Y/n) felt that something was off with Ririka today. In fact, she would bet big money that the person holding her hand right now wasn’t Ririka at all!
(Y/n) knew about the twins tendency to switch off whenever Kirari deemed it necessary, but never had the president bothered with (Y/n) while pretending to be Ririka. Just what was the president doing? (Y/n) decided she’d play along for now, to hold her cards close to her chest until she figured out Kirari’s game. (Y/n) doubled down, curling her fingers over the incessant imposter’s hand.
Once they arrived at their destination, a secluded part of the school forest away from the noisy courtyard, (Y/n) assumed her usual position sitting with her back against a grand old tree. Testing Kirari, she patted the free space between her legs, intending for the president to sit with her back to (Y/n)’s front. Then they could listen to the songs of the forest as (Y/n) normally would with Ririka. Speaking of which, (Y/n) was going to have to apologize for showing Kirari their secret spot. Honestly, Ririka would probably not be too pleased about any of this situation but (Y/n) just had to find out why the president was doing this.
The masked figure loomed above (Y/n) for a moment before beginning her decent, but to (Y/n)’s shock, the other girl took the cue as a signal to straddle her so they were both facing each other. Years of gambling helped (Y/n) hide her horror well, as she smiled the fakest smile to ever exist. Just who the hell did the president think she was? Well, she was trying to be Ririka, but was failing miserably.
Swallowing her urge to lash out at the younger of the Momobami twins, (Y/n) continued to pretend nothing was wrong and continued her reconnaissance, resting her hands over Kirari’s thighs.
“Anything on your mind, Ri? Do you need something?” (Y/n) asked, feeling proud of how smooth and unassuming her voice sounded.
Another crackle of air and a tilt of the head was the only reply (Y/n) received. Really, it was like Kirari didn’t know how to be Ririka at all beyond the mysterious vice president. When Ririka took on Kirari’s role, she did so extremely well. It kind of scared (Y/n) how well Ririka could impersonate her twin. The same could not be said for Kirari. She didn’t seem to know how to act like Ririka at all. At least, not in this instance.
It was a bit infuriating really, to think Kirari actually thought she was getting away with her little charade while putting in so little effort. (Y/n) was about to tell Kirari to get off of her when a hand reached up between them and pulled at the mask, slowly lowering it to hover just above the president’s nose.
Perhaps she wasn’t too bad after all. Downcast eyes, timid yet deliberate movements, even the faint flush of her cheeks seemed legitimate and for a second (Y/n) almost believed her. Almost. But the amusement that seemed to be ever present in the younger twin’s eyes could only hide so deep in crystal blue irises.
“I need you. Show me, show me how you take charge.” The twin’s voice whispered, taking in the cadence of her sister with frightening precision. Yes, the tone was good but the words were so wrong. Ririka would sooner shoot herself in the foot than say something she would consider so embarrassing.
Just what the hell was this girl after? What was she gaining from this torment? Was this some kind of gamble and depending on (Y/n)’s reaction, could be someone’s undoing? What was the right move to make?
“(Y/n), please. Kiss me like we’re doing it for the first time again.”
“What the hell?” (Y/n) couldn’t keep it in anymore, if someone was losing a bet right now she was sorry, but she could only handle so much ridiculousness. “What game are you playing, president?”
(Y/n) tried to wiggle out from underneath Kirari but she held firm, the facade she had put up melted quickly as she allowed the mask to drop on the ground beside them and pushed (Y/n)’s back firmly against the tree trunk with one hand as she grinned down at her fellow classmate. The effect wasn’t quite the same without the striking blue lipstick but it was still enough to make (Y/n) shiver.
“So you did figure it out. I was wondering why you would be holding out on me. I was beginning to think my dear sister was wrong about you.” Kirari mused, eyes glinting. “The only other person that can tell us apart is Sayaka, what gave me away?”
“First, get off of me.” (Y/n) said, making a shooing motion between them that made Kirari giggle as she stood up. “Second, you have to tell me what your goal was in all of this.”
“My goal hmm?” Kirari tapped her chin thoughtfully as (Y/n) got up from the ground as well. “Well, quite simply it was for research.”
“Research about what?”
“About your relationship with my sister.” Kirari answered.
Like that made anything any clearer. (Y/n) pressed a hand over her forehead, the other a firm fist against her hip, “but why?” She asked.
“I think I’m entitled to having my curiosity sated now.” Kirari said instead, looking over her plain, pale nails.
(Y/n) pushed an audible huff of air through her nose, choosing to cross her arms tightly over her chest instead and even going as far as to tap her shoe against ground. Kirari actually rolled her eyes at the display, an action the president wouldn’t give the general masses the pleasure of seeing lest she appear too human.
“I just don’t understand how you and Ririka have only been together for three months and you’re already holding hands and kissing when I’ve been with Sayaka for nearly two years and we have done neither. Ririka said you were the more experienced one, I thought I could learn something from observing you.”
“Wait, you and Igarashi are actually together?” (Y/n) couldn’t believe her ears. Igarashi obviously worshipped the ground Kirari walked on but (Y/n) had always found it hard to understand if Kirari was just stringing her along or not.
“Of course we are. I didn’t build that tower for just anyone.”
Ah yes, Ririka had told (Y/n) about the tower. What lunacy. She would be surprised if Igarashi truly understood what Kirari was going for there.
“Did you actually ask Igarashi to date you point blank or did you just imply it? You should know how her mind works by now.”
“But I don’t. That’s what makes her so spectacular.” Kirari sighed pleasantly.
“Well trust me, if you make your intentions absolutely clear I’m sure you’ll see some changes in your dynamic. Tell you what, let’s go to the student council room and sort this all out now before classes start.”
“Are you hoping for a seat on the council? Is that why you want to get involved?” Kirari smirked.
“I’m just trying to help my girlfriend’s sister so she doesn’t pretend to be her in my presence ever again.” (Y/n) shook her head and started to walk back to the school. She took out her phone and texted Ririka to let her know they were en route, “and I knew it was you because Ririka doesn’t act like that with me. I will not elaborate because the last thing I need is for you to get anymore funny ideas.”
Kirari hummed with amusement before placing the mask back over her face and together they made their way back to the school and up to the council room. Thankfully Ririka must have been able to end the meeting early because only she and Sayaka were left in the room.
“Oh thank god,” (Y/n) sighed walking over to Ririka’s side to rest her forehead against the older twin’s shoulder, making her blush and ruining the carefully crafted persona of her younger sister.
“What are you doing?” Sayaka said indignantly. “You can’t just come in here whenever you wish. Anyone with council business could come in and think you were involved with the president instead of the vice president!”
“Sit down Igarashi, I’m about to do you the biggest favor of your life.” (Y/n) said, lifting her head from Ririka’s shoulder to point at Kirari as she removed the theatre mask and placed in on the table. “Kirari wants to date you.”
Sayaka blinked, processing the words before her skin turned beet red, equal parts embarrassed and angry.
“That’s not funny, Senpai!”
“It’s not a joke! C’mon Kirari, tell her.” (Y/n) said before cupping Ririka’s ear to whisper, “If this doesn’t work out, I’m gonna scream.”
“It’s true Sayaka, though (Y/n)’s approach seems dull and predictable, it has come to my attention that you may not understand that I wish to be with you,” Kirari glided forward, her hair flowing behind her like a curtain, her hand outstretched to Sayaka, “so, hold my hand Say-a-ka, and be mine.”
“Uh oh.” (Y/n) and Ririka muttered in unison as Sayaka babbled, her head moving jerkily between Kirari’s face and her outstretched hand before her knees buckled. She almost hit the ground but Kirari caught her just in time, grinning down at her secretary.
“I told her to sit down.” (Y/n) said, shaking her head.
“It appears that Sayaka needs a nap. You two can head to class, I’ll watch over her.” Kirari said, placing the unconscious secretary on the couch.
“Sure, you just want an excuse to stay out of class.” (Y/n) turned her attention back to Ririka, still in her sister’s make up, braids and annoying ruffled shirt. “Come on Ririka, let me help you get changed real quick.”
“Okay.”
Ririka grabbed her mask from the table and together they headed to one of the side rooms off of the main council room where the twins kept their spare uniforms. While (Y/n) helped Ririka gather her belongings and remove the fresh blue nail polish and smooth out her hair, she told Ririka all about Kirari’s invasive behavior.
“So yeah, it was super weird but I guess it was worth it if it means she’ll be too busy with Sayaka to be too interested in what we’re doing.” (Y/n) explained, brushing Ririka’s hair into place. On the last stroke, she reached in front of Ririka to put the brush back on the table and as she went to withdraw, her wrist was gently encased in Ririka’s hand.
“Ri?”
Ririka tugged on (Y/n)’s arm until she sat down on the bench beside her. It took (Y/n) everything she had not to giggle once she registered the sweet pout the older twin was sporting.
“You held hands with my sister,” Ririka grumped, “you held hands with my sister and let her sit in your lap.”
“Yes, very begrudgingly I did. Only because I wanted to know what she was trying to do, but I promise it’ll never happen again.” (Y/n) spoke seriously.
“Good.” Ririka sighed, resting her head on (Y/n)’s chest, making her laugh.
“We can’t stay here all day. We have about fifteen minutes before we have to get to our classroom and you still haven’t changed your blazer and shirt.”
Ririka whined quietly before tilting her head up to look at (Y/n). “May we, first could you,” Ririka bashfully tapped her lips, still stained with blue, “you know.”
“Happy to,” (Y/n) tucked a strand of Ririka’s hair behind her ear, “let me just wipe that lipstick off first.”
Softly but thoroughly, (Y/n) ran the cleansing wipe across Ririka’s lips a few times until all that remained was muted pink. Then she dabbed at them with a wet washcloth so no trace of the bitter tasting makeup remover remained. As soon as she removed the cloth she leaned in, meeting Ririka lips with her own.
(Y/n) pulled away after a moment, a smile splitting her lips upon witnessing the relaxed and dreamy look on Ririka’s face, her cheeks dusted in a pleasant pink color that complimented her bare lips.
“I’ll wait for you to finish changing and we’ll walk to class together, okay?” (Y/n) said softly.
“One more first, please.” Ririka asked, pulling (Y/n)’s blazer to bring the girl closer.
“Of course.”
Another kiss and the fifteen minute buffer before class became eight minutes and they had three floors worth of stairs to climb. (Y/n) waited for Ririka to finish changing in the hall. She would have waited in the main area of the council room, but Kirari was sitting on the council room couch with that little smirk on her face. Her calculating eyes watching (Y/n) move across the room as the president patted Sayaka’s hair while the secretary remained unconscious with her head in Kirari’s lap.
When Ririka emerged, mask set into place, (Y/n) looked down both ends of the empty hall. When she was satisfied that no one was around, she pulled the mask to the side, surprising Ririka and making the vice president’s breath hitch.
“What?” Ririka asked.
“Just making sure.” (Y/n) replied, kissing Ririka’s nose before covering Ririka’s glowing face with the mask once more.
(Y/n) took Ririka’s hand and they jogged up the stairs, managing to slide into the classroom moments before the teacher.

I love you, mum
Remus Lupin x Reader
Requested - Noppe
Summary - Remus Lupin was the love of your life, right? You thought so, that was, until he came home from an order mission finding you pregnant and hating it with his entire being. Can you handle that?
Trigger Warning - cursing, mentions of abortion, mentions of pregnancy, rude as hell Remus.
This one is kinda lengthy, so, fairwarning. I'ma make it a series, so, Part 1!
There he stood, right before you, his bag packed as your eyes watered. "I know 'm love, but you know how the order is. I don't get to pick when I go." He took you into his arms, his hand immediately running through your hair.
You both were 24 now, honestly surprised with the way time had flown by even with the pending war surrounding you. He, James, and Sirius were going to investigate a lead, one that involved the fourth member of their family from Hogwarts, Peter.
The night Peter was trusted with James, Lily, and Harry's lives, Voldemort had shown up, prepared to murder them in cold blood. The only thing stopping him that night was that you, Remus, and Sirius paid a surprise visit to your favorite new family, wanting Harry to experience a Halloween as normal as you all could make it.
Harry had been zooming through on his broom in his Kinmare Kestrels costume, the five of you cheering him on as if he was in the middle of a quidditch game himself. Voldemort had made himself known quite quickly, assuming the three of them were on their own, but was met with a small army, prepared to protect your family.
Now, Remus was leaving to go find Peter, along with looking into how deep his dedicated now lied with the monster attempting to rule your world.
"I'm going to be back before you know it. I'll be nice and safe, and I'll be home after this months turn, so we won't even have to worry about that when I come home." You nodded, but teared up at that.
"But, who'll patch you up and kiss all your bruises?" You asked softly, pushing back some of his hair to gaze into his eyes. "'M sure James and Sirius will be more than happy to help me out like they used to, although I don't think either will kiss the bruises - not that I'd want them to." He grimaced at the thought of one of his two best friends kissing each healing wound on his skin after a horrible night of turning.
"Just, come back safe, okay? Don't do anything stupid, don't let Sirius talk you into doing something irrational, don't let James cry too much about Lily and Harry either, please. I can't even imagine how they're doing. Just come back safe to me." You kissed him softly, pulling him closer to your body, only wrapped in a robe, holding him as close to you as you could.
"Of course sweets. You be safe too, go see Lily and Harry, go see Molly and the kids, don't stay cooped up in here missing me. I'm sure Molly would love to bake with you and I'm sure Lily would be more than happy to eat at much as she can, especially now that we all know she's pregnant again." He laughed softly, kissing your forehead.
"Okay, okay, go, before I lock you in the house and break your wand so you can't leave." He chuckled, wiping a few stray tears from your face as he kissed you one last time before moving to leave the comfort of the home the two of you built together.
Five minutes without him had you sobbing and feeling empty.
Six days without him had you throwing up.
Two weeks without him had you taking a pregnancy test.
Two weeks and three minutes without him had you sobbing as the plus sign on the test.
Three weeks without him had you hiding it from your best friend.
Four weeks without him had you looking for the baggiest of his sweaters and wishing he would finally come home.
Five weeks without him had you shaking in fear, fear of your growing stomach and fear of the second turn he would be fulfilling away from home.
Six weeks without him had you going to the appointment without him, without anyone knowing.
Six weeks and two days without him had you sobbing.
Six weeks, two days, and thirty four minutes had you screaming in joy as you wrapped your arms and legs around his warm hold, clutching onto him with dear life.
"Remus John Lupin!" You yelled, tears falling harder as you felt the worries of him being dead in a hole left your shoulders.
"Oh my sweet love, I've got you, yeah? I've finally got you." He whispered. Your arms were tight on his frame, holding him like you were afraid this was a dream, for him to fade away and leave you once more.
He had walked you to your bed, sitting on it with you set in his arms, his nose sniffing your hair, letting your scent calm him and moony. "Oh my girl, I've missed you so much." He whispered, your tears finally slowing. "I've missed you, bubs." You whispered, your eyes meeting his to press your lips upon his, holding his face close to yours.
Silence filled the room, his hands wandering your skin, making sure each inch of it was the same as he remembered. He didn't falter, until his hands slipped under his sweater, feeling the bump under his hands.
"The fuck?" He whispered, pulling away from you. "What's going on?" He asked you, his eyes sharp on your own.
"Um." You said, your head falling and you stared at your hands. "'M pregnant, Moons." You whispered, moving off of his lap to lift up the warm fabric, showing him your bump. "Twins." You said softly, looking up into his eyes.
"You're joking." He said, his voice void of emotion, it staying the same pitch with each syllable.
"Does it look like I'm joking? You're staring at the bump. I haven't told anyone, waiting for you to get home." You were waiting for a smile to break out on his face, for his eyes to light up, for him to wrap you in his arms once more and spin you and gently as he could before bending down and kissing your belly once - twice - three times.
But, it didn't happen.
Two minutes after he knew had you silent.
Three minutes after he knew had you shuffling back from foot to foot.
Four minutes after he knew had your eyes welling up with tears.
Five minutes after he knew had you breaking the silence, your voice louder than expected.
"Say something, Rem!" You yelled, flinching at the sound of your own tone.
"I - uh." He said, one of his hands moving down his face to attempt to shake the shock from it. "No." He said after another moment, standing up and moving across the room.
"No, we aren't having a kid, let alone two! No!" He paced back and forth, shaking his head. "No way. We're gonna have to figure something else out." He spoke, stopping to think, his face pointing up at the sky. "I'm sure there's something we can do to fix this." He said, finally turning to look at you.
"Fix this? There is nothing to fix, you prick!" You yelled, tears falling once more, but for a much different reason. "I'm fucking pregnant, this isn't something you fix!"
His eyes grew angry, glaring at you like never before. "You know how I feel about having kids! No!" He shouted, his tone matching yours.
"Fuck you." You whispered, shaking your head. You picked your wand up from your bedside table, flicking it once before a suitcase appeared and clothes began filling into it.
"What are you doing?" He asked, his voice monotoned once more.
"Leaving." You spoke the word, shivering at the idea of it. But, once the bag was packed, your hand wrapped around it's handle, you quickly turned on your heel, unsure of apparating out of the flat while pregnant.
"Where are you going?" His voice was slightly softer now, the actions of the moment catching up to him.
Before exiting the place you called home, more so, leaving the person you called home, you whispered. "I dunno."
Your wand was held out, summoning the Knight Bus, letting you onto it and paying the fee before looking at the man before you.
"Where to?" He asked, his left eyebrow raised at you.
You didn't think you could go to Lily and James, not wanting to face Lily's wrath towards Remus along with her hurt for not knowing about your pregnancy. You couldn't turn to Sirius, knowing he would hate his best friend in a way you could never want for the man you loved.
"The burrow, please."
The bus took you there after dropping off the two people before you, assisting you with your bag to the front door before disappearing.
Your hand shook as you knocked, but heard the pitter patter of the feet of her many children before a yell from the woman herself. "I don't know who's at the door! Charlie can you please change Ginny!"
The door flung open, revealing the woman to you. "Oh! Y/n!" She spoke, her face breaking out into a warm, wonderful smile before letting you in. "I haven't seen you for a little while, I was about to send an owl your way." She said, leading you into the home and back into the kitchen where the smell of Mince Pies filled your nose.
"'M sorry, Molly. A lots happened."
With tears in your eyes, you stood before Molly, the woman you saw as your own mother. The woman who celebrated with you when Remus asked you out. The woman who held you when you cried after your first argument with the man. The woman you had planned to tell about your pregnancy, but feeling your heart break each day you waited to tell her.
You had it all planned out. You were going to show up with Remus, once he found out and the two of you celebrated, wearing a sweater that covered your bump - much like the one you still wore. You would be holding two bags, one for each of the parents you loved so much, with a shirt for them both with the words "first time grandparent" on it.
But now, you had to tell this woman that you had kept your pregnancy from her for this long, your spouse had practically told you to get rid of the babies, and that you had left him.
"Molly, I'm pregnant." You whispered, pulling his sweater up to show the adamant bump. "And Remus wants me to get rid of them, so I left him." Your voice was breaking, shaking, and terrified of what you were to do now.
Her eyes filled with tears of her own, her arms wrapping around your frame and holding you to her. Molly Weasley: Best Hugs. She held you for a minute, letting your sobs fall from your body, holding your shaking frame. Once you calmed down as much as she thought you would, she sat you down on the kitchen chairs.
"Oh, sweet girl. I'm so sorry." Her wand flicked, bringing you a warm cup of tea before she settled in the seat beside you. "You're more than welcome to stay here. We can move Charlie in with Bill and you can take his room. You know you're more than welcome to." Her voice was soft and sincere, looking at you with the look you wished your fiance had looked at you with. Her hand reached to tuck a stray piece of hair behind your ear before moving it down to press softly against your growing stomach.
"Molly, you know I can't do that. I wouldn't want to put Charlie out of his room. Plus, I'm going to be getting bigger and eating more soon, I don't want to be in the way." You explained, watching as she shook her head. "In no way would you be in the way. Plus, I'd love to be here with you through this!" She exclaimed, taking your hand in hers.
"Honestly, Molly, I don't want him to find me." You admitted softly, your heart hurting at the truth. You hated how he had talked to you, how easily it was for him to suggest he "took care of it". It hurt you to your core. He was the man you thought would stand beside you through everything. Through the fears of financial trouble, through the happiness of your own home, through your pregnancy. But now, you were all alone. Your soul felt cold, the warmth he provided now long gone, leaving a feeling as cold as the harshest winter in it's place.
"Oh, honey, I understand." She said softly, nodding.
After another minute or two with the wonderful woman, you looked at her. "Molly, could I use some parchment and a quill? And your owl? I wanna write to Lily." You said softly, hating to intrude, but knowing that with one person told, that would soon turn into two, then 9, then everyone else you could imagine.
"Of course love! Of course! Bill, bring me some parchment and a quill please, y/n needs it!"
Bill soon came in, hanging you the items you requested before rushing back outside to play with his siblings. "You can go sit in the living room and write, okay?" She pushed back your hair, smiling at you before allowing you to walk off, going to write a letter for James and Lily, along with one for Sirius.
Your hand was shaking as you pondered what to write to your best friends. How do you explain that you're pregnant with their best friend's kids, that he doesn't want them, and that you've left him, all in the same day that they got home?
You set your fears aside and wrote to your best friends, letting everything out that you could.
Dear Lily and James
I'm so glad you're safe, James, I was so incredibly worried. I'm so happy you're back home with Lily and Harry.
You guys might be wondering why I'm not using our owl, that's actually what I was writing you about. I left Remus. Before you're freaking out and such, I'm also pregnant. He wanted me to "take care of it". His words, not mine.
It's twins. I don't know the genders yet, but I'm 6 weeks along. Absolutely huge though. That's a lie, I just feel huge. I can still wear one of his sweaters to cover the bump. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, Lils. I wanted to wait until Rem got home and us be able to tell you both together. Don't worry, I'm writing Sirius about it too.
I don't know where I'm gonna stay, if I'm being honest with you. I'm at Molly's right now, but I'm not staying long. I'm not staying at yours either - especially not with you pregnant too Lily, and with Harry. I can't do that to you guys. Plus, like I told Molly, I don't want Remus to know where I am.
I know that might seem wrong, but he wants me to get rid of them. I can't ever do that. They are apart of me, apart of us both. I'm growing these two precious beings that are half of us and full of our love - well, my love. How am I supposed to look him in the eyes and see him hate me as I grow our kids.
I'll write you both after I'm settled somewhere, but this will be my only letter until then. I love you both so, so much. Give Harry a kiss from me.
You folded the letter up and wrote one quite similar to Sirius before tying them to Errol and sending him off to your three best friends.
You stood and waddled back to find Molly with Fred and George outside, scolding them for attempting to get Ron to fly on their broom and hit the Bludger before it hit him.
"This is what I have to look forward to, huh?" You asked, a light smile on your face.
"Oh yeah, they're twice the trouble." She laughed, smiling. Fred and George smiled at that, proud to have caused Mischief in their family. "But they give you twice the love." She spoke, watching as they ran off while their mother was distracted.
The two off you walked towards the house once more, talking. "Did you decide what you want to do?" She asked finally, looking at you.
"I'm going to the states. I have some family there that I want to go visit, one with a guest house that I can stay in. I owled to them when I sent Lily and James one." You stood before her, tears welling up.
"You better come see me all the time still, send me pictures of you growing. Send me the address so we can come see you, especially in America! Don't let me go without seeing you growing my grandbabies." You nodded, wrapping her up in your hold.
"I won't, I swear. I'll send you so many owls, you're gonna think I am living with you." She kissed your temple, holding your cheeks.
"Okay, I put your bag upstairs in Bill's room, just as a precaution. Do you want me to go get it or-" she was cut off with a frantic knock, the hits not stopping.
"I'll go get it, that sounds urgent." You both laughed softly, your swollen feet carrying you up the stairs and to Bill's room, grabbing your suitcase before heading down the stairs.
"Molly, where is she. I just want to see her." You heard Lily speak, her voice hurried.
"Sirius, let me go! She's in there, I know she is!" Remus yelled, his voice carrying up the stairs.
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit." You mumbled, looking around the stairs for some kind of hidden passage. It's a wizard and witch house, how is there not a hidden passage?" You reached for your wand, your eyes squeezing shut as you realized you set it down to write to your friends.
"Stop it! All four of you!" Molly yelled, her voice sharp. "There is a woman in my home who is pregnant and does not need this kind of stress. Now, I will ask her if and who she would like to see."
While she was speaking, you creeped down the rest of the stairs and slipped into the living room, grasping your wand.
"Worse than my own kids, I swear." You heard her mumble before walking towards the living room. "Y/n, dear? I'm sure you've heard them by now but the boys and Lily -" she cut herself off, her eyes finding you holding your wand and suitcase, your eyes welled up with tears and your lip between your teeth.
"I love you, Mum." You whispered, before clutching your belly in protection with your arm holding your suitcase, apparating from the warm home.

Sweet Nothings
(God!Technoblade x Male!Reader)
Read Me on AO3!
~~~~~~
You were very content with your life in this tiny village. Business was at its peak, and you were well known amongst the people. You had your regulars that came in daily, and you even had found an apprentice to help you out around the shop. Niki, was a great apprentice, learning how to bake and tend to the bakery on her own. The eagerness in her actions made you confident that she would be just fine taking care of the place in your stead, when you needed a break once in a while.
 One early morning, when the world was still dark, you walked the cobblestone streets to your bakery. The warm glow of the over hanging lanterns washed over your form. There was a cold nip to the air as you walked. Letting your eyes wander, your eyes spot the decorations overhead. Festival decorations, for a festival made in celebration of the era of peace among your lands, and for the blood god.
Today was Niki’s first day alone in the bakery. Your job today was to set up a booth and run it for the festival. You had the perfect spot to entice travelers from across the world to eat your delicious baked goods. Town square was the perfect place, but you… had scored the place closest to the entrance of the town square to set up your booth. The area that had gotten the most foot traffic in festivals. You were excited for what could come of this. Your bakery could very well thrive off this one day alone!
 The bakery before you was already lit up. You smirked knowing that your apprentice had beaten you to the punch. You twisted the doorknob and walked in whistling a familiar tune, signifying to Niki that you weren’t some stranger just walking in.
 “Morning boss!” Niki leaned out from behind the doorway of the kitchen as she said it. “You’re looking really handsome today!” Her eyes sparkled and you smirked. The garb you had chosen for the festival cost you a pretty penny, but it was worth it.
 “Well, a man has gotta look his best for his business don’t you think?” You ran your fingers through your hair, before putting your chef’s hat on. “How many goods have you made so far this morning my dear?”
 The beginning of the morning went by smoothly. You had set up your booth while Niki had made quadruple the amount of baked goods that you normally made on a regular day. Festivals were good for business and you didn’t want to keep the people waiting. Now… You wished the middle of the day went just as smooth.
 More foot traffic meant more problems… Thieves taking from your stock, people touching everything they didn’t intend to buy, people who weren’t satisfied being rude, and so much more. You had your hands full with everything. By the end of the festival when lanterns were sent into the sky to celebrate the blood god keeping peace across the land, you were out of breath. Your booth had seen it’s last customer of the day, and your head was still reeling. But that didn’t stop you from lighting your own lantern. You let it go as you still stood next to your booth, unaware of the fact that eyes lingered over you, as you closed your eyes uttering your thanks to the very blood god who watched you with curious eyes.
 His eyes spotted your lantern ascending into the sky, he didn’t make himself known to you, He scanned over you once more before he followed the lantern’s light, awaiting the moment that it would come down. When it did, he looked at your handiwork adorning the material. Drawings and script told a story of your gratitude, that, without the peace that he had given, you would be a broken man with no passion in life. This peace gave you enough to stand on so you could pave your way into a successful business.
 A slight smile pulled at his lips, a mortal had piqued his interest, there was definitely more he wanted to know about you. He would rest now and make himself known to you later. He held onto your lantern, keeping it for himself.
 Days passed, and you struggled with the volume of customers who had come in. So each day you adjusted your inventory, to keep up with your customers. There were times when you could breath in between bursts of people. You could cry at the success from the booth just days before.
 On one of your breaks, you sat down on a stool to help ease the discomfort in your back. You had been on your feet the entire day and you needed this break. You reveled in the silence and peace, you closed your eyes, letting out a little sigh. When the door opened, and you heard the bell sound off, signifying a customer, you gave off a small, tired grunt.
 “Welcome to my bakery, how may I help you-” When you opened your eyes all the air left your lungs, and you couldn’t say any more. In front of you, stood a very tall man, with long pink hair, a golden crown that reminded you more of a circlet gilded his head. His ears were pointed and downturned, making it obvious he wasn’t human. His eyes rivalled the gold that sat atop his head. Deep purple to black armor hugged his body and a royal red cloak spilled from around his shoulders.
 His eyes studied your face, and you felt a blush redden your cheeks. He moved around your bakery in the most graceful way you had ever seen anyone move and you fought to regain your composure.
 “Make yourself at home, take a look around and if you need anything you can just ask.” You bowed your head to offer your respect to him. When his eyes searched over you once more you cleared your throat. Was this guy a soldier? A commander? His aura was one that suggested he was a man of power. Even so, this guy didn’t know what to get… His eyes wandered around looking at all the pastries and other baked goods, it was obvious he was having trouble deciding on what to get.
 “Would you like a sample?” You offered, you almost shrunk at the man’s gaze, but you didn’t let yourself falter you held out a cupcake for him to take, and when he took it, you felt your heartbeat in your ears. When he hesitantly took a bite, you visibly relaxed when he gave you a smile, crumbs falling from his lip.
 “I’ll take some more of these.” His deep voice shook you to your very core. Strangely, as much as this guy was intimidating… He was alluring, and you packaged up more cupcakes for him, giving him an extra one, because he was a first-time customer. Or… At least you told yourself that.
 “Thank you very much! Here is your order and should you come back you will be welcomed with open arms!” You told him your name as he held his hand out with his payment. When he dropped it into your hand your eyes widened and in the palm of your hand were three gold pieces. Your heart dropped and when you looked back up, he was gone. You charged mere copper for your goods, not gold??? You were dumbfounded.
 Months had passed, and the mysterious stranger came in each and every day. Ordering and trying new things from you. He had become a constant in your life, and you found yourself growing closer to him. You found out his name was Techno, and he was a war hero. You could tell he was leaving bits and pieces from you, but you figured if he wanted you to know he would tell you.
 One night you locked up your bakery, and you were just about to head home. Your steps echoing off the cobblestone path once more. You looked up to see Techno, knelt down in front of someone, holding out a loaf of bread out to a straggler down on his luck. You had sold Techno that bread earlier. You couldn’t help but feel the smile tug on your lips. Techno stood tall after the straggler thanked him profusely, his eyes finding yours. You felt your heartbeat faster, as he towered over you.
 “You have brought beauty into this world and it’s a crime not to share it.” Techno cocked his head at you, his hand resting on your cheek. “I would like to see more of the beauty you create.” He drops his hand from your face, holding it out for you to take.
 You sigh happily, intertwining your fingers with his, happy to follow him wherever he would lead you. He led you to a place where you could see every star, away from the village. Foliage surrounded you and it was a nice change of pace rather than the buildings around you.
 Techno looked at you, as you marveled at the scenery before you. He basked in your presence; you were such a breath of fresh air opposed to every other mortal around. He watched you make your way to a nearby stream, kneeling letting the cool water flow through your fingers. Techno summoned forth your lantern. When you stood and faced him again, you were shocked at the lantern in his hands.
 “How did you get that?” You felt heat rise up to your cheeks.
 “It tells a beautiful story.” He ignored your question, “Of a man, who was cast out based on his preferences… Going on a hard-earned journey to make a bakery. Determined to be successful, while hiding who you truly are, is… Tragic.” Techno cupped your cheek, his eyes boring into yours. “I do not wish to take credit for your hard work because I slaughter those who wish to upset the peace.”
 Your eyes widened; the blood god was real… And he was standing before you, gazing at you with a fond expression. This beautiful man before you stroked your cheek with his thumb, and you felt your tears coming forth. You were scared, scared to tell Niki of your preferences, in fear she would abandon you. If any of your patrons knew, your business would be ruined…
 “This world is filled with cruelty.” His words caused shivers to go up your spine. “I… want to shield you from that cruelty.” He leaned closer and closer to you, his lips just barely grazing yours. “If you’ll have me.” He barely whispered, but you heard him loud and clear. You threw your arms around his shoulders, standing on your tip toes to push your lips against his. That was when your tears spilled forth.
 The two of you, melted into each other, the moon above shone down on you. Before too long this towering blood god cradled you in his arms, your head resting on his chest plate. You thought you were content with your life before… What you had before couldn’t compare to what you had now. Technoblade the Blood God had fallen for a mortal, and no one could take you away from him.
