#honestly this trope can work with anyone. well now that i think about.... the less 'on brand' it is the funnier

one of Thee funniest tv tropes is "group of people (better if they're not friends) wake up in the same area after being blackout drunk, with it being Wildly obvious that some crazy shit went down & they have to puzzle it out / fix their mess without anyone knowing"

Pt. 2. to This Series
Summary: How life’s going with the new roomie!! Smutttyyy, kinda smutty
Tropes: And they were roommates. Smut fluff, and a smidge of angst
Word count: 2317
A/N: Yooo, this is my first attempt at writing something… saucy. Lol, what do you think??
At first, Mike had reservations about moving in with you.
He thought it would… change the relationship dynamic.
It does, but not in the way he expects.
“Morning, Abby’s brushing her teeth,” you hand Mike a plate of toast with jam and scrambled eggs, “I have to stay late today. Our department has a project due.”
Mike nods, “Okay,” he swallows a mouthful of eggs, “what time should I go for you?”
You put the egg pan in the sink, on top of two other plates.
“Actually, I’m going out tonight. So I think you’re good until tomorrow morning”
Honestly, it surprised him a bit, when he found out you had other friends.
Well, that sounds bad, he’s just surprised by the activity within your social life. It makes him crave something he didn’t know he cared about.
“Will you be home tonight?” He asks.
You gulp down the last of your coffee like a shot. Then you shrug, “I wouldn’t count on it, but maybe.”
Mike swallows his last bite and takes his plate to the sink, “Okay, be safe.”
You smile and finish getting ready for the day. Mike does the dishes.
To be honest, Mike loves having a roommate.
You split the bills evenly. Mike takes half the rent, you take the water bill. Mike gets electric, but you have the insurance.
It’s nice. It feels like he found an island after struggling to keep afloat.
He can afford to go way down in hours. Rather than carry the weight of two full-time jobs, Mike only has to manage one, with the odd double shift.
There’s a park within walking distance from your house. It has a tire swing. Mike has the time to walk Abby there on weekends, and the energy to give her a boost.
Sometimes, You come home smelling like booze.
Sometimes, Mike stays up past Abby’s bedtime to make lunches for the next day. Or to catch up on forgotten chores.
Sometimes, he stays up just ‘cause he can do that now; without feeling mind-crushing guilt.
Sometimes, you run into each other on those nights.
It’s Friday night, a week after you successfully completed the work project, and you stumble into the house at an odd hour.
You smell like a mix of someone else’s cologne and cheap alcohol. Your lipstick is smudged and your clothes look ruffled.
Mike watches you wobble to the sink after kicking off your shoes.
He pretends not to notice the hickeys littering your neck while you chug a glass of water.
“Rough day?” He means it as a joke, but Mike doubts the concerned tilt of his eyebrows makes it seem like one.
“MMmm nuh uh” you answer; slightly out of breath, “S-sorry, just a lil’ thirsty.”
Mike chuckles. He puts a bowl of leftover pasta in the microwave.
If anyone ever asked, he’d deny it until his tongue fell out. But Mike thinks you're cute drunk, and he likes how the curve of your breasts peek out of that top.
Nights like this make him feel kind of gross. He goes to bed soaked with guilt because he knows he shouldn’t ogle anyone like he’s ogling you.
If you ever found out about how he stared at you after you slumped into a kitchen stool, he’d kill himself.
You’re wearing a skirt, and he can see… he can see the inside of your thighs. You’re slouching too. He can see the trail of purple outline your collar bones, and lead into - No.
He sets the bowl of pasta in front of you and then sits down across from you. He’s praying you didn’t see him twitch under his pants.
You slowly eat the pasta, like you’re having trouble feeling your mouth.
Mike stirs his tea.
He tries not to think about your mouth.
When you’re finished, you look a little less, unbothered. Your eyes go a little dark, and you’re holding your head up awkwardly.
“Ready for bed?” Mike questions. He hopes you don’t hear the desperation hidden in the softness of his voice.
You nod.
He leaves an old pot by your bed before heading to his own room.
Nights like this, Mike feels how long it’s been since he’s gotten pussy.
His dick is throbbing. It’s begging, and it hurts, but he fucking refuses to give in.
Mike tries to clench his legs and think about anything, other than how you might’ve looked riding someone else’s dick.
His hips buck up into nothing.
Your tits would bounce. The other guy probably loved it. Mike bets the other guy couldn’t resist popping your nipples into his mouth. Or maybe he used his hands. Maybe he gripped your tits so hard that you saw stars.
Mike rolls over - face down - his pelvis squishes his boner into the bed at this angle. He’s glad for the pillow that swallows his groan.
He thought the new position would help, but it doesn’t, the friction just makes everything worse.
Mike can’t get those damn hickies out of his head. They’ve seared into his mind like a brand that just keeps bleeding. He wants to lick them. He wants to know what you’d do if he licked them.
Oh god, and your thighs.
It takes him a moment to realize that he’s grinding against his sheets.
He huffs, practically ripping off his boxers and gripping the base of his dick.
He gives in.
He thinks about how you’d look sprawled on his bed.
What would you do? - Mike wonders - if you woke up to him between your thighs?
Mike would go slow, he’d go so slow, and he’d make it feel good. He wouldn’t leave until you shake.
He’d spread you open first; let your legs rest open like a monument. He might indulge himself with a kitten lick along your clit.
Then, he’d slide a finger through your slit.
Would you want to sit on his face?
Mike's balls go tight, his dick jumping as he imagines your weight on his tongue.
He licks his lips, hoping to taste something he’s never had.
He finishes all over his stomach, and tries not to imagine how you’d look licking it up.
He doesn’t know how he’s gonna look into your eyes tomorrow.
It's Saturday, and Mike said he’d give you a ride to a car that you found on Craigslist.
“What happened to your car?” Abby asks at the beginning of the drive.
Mike glares at his sister through the mirror, but he can’t shush her without revealing that he’s already figured out what happened to your car.
“It’s not mine anymore” you respond. Your tone isn’t sad, or forlorn, but the mood shifts anyway.
Mike fills the awkwardness by asking what Abby wants for lunch.
You don’t end up buying the car.
The guy on Craigslist listed the car under Used, Like New but the car was definitely not, Like New.
You apologize to Mike so many times he stops keeping count, but he really doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal.
He had to look for months before he found a reliable car for an affordable price.
He’s sure to tell you as much, but he still finds extra cash in his glove compartment the next day.
Sometimes it feels like you don’t think of him as a friend, just someone you’re living with.
It bothers him.
You go out again on Sunday night, you come home smelling even worse.
Mike’s in the living room when he hears something fumble with the locks. At first, he thinks nothing of it, but then he hears a thump against the door.
Mike peeks through the peephole, and rolls his eyes after he watches you almost eat shit when you lose your footing.
You’re too drunk to stand on your own. Mike doesn’t even bother to ask if you’re okay, he just helps you to your room and puts the old pot near your bed, again.
Abby sleeps across the house, so she doesn’t hear you puke your guts out at 3a.m.
Mike does, and it makes him feel something bad. It’s a feeling he’s not used to associating with you. Disappointment? Disgust?
Something like that - there’s a bit of anger in there too - but it’s also mixed with worry. You’re not the type of person to get black-out drunk on a Sunday night.
But still, that’s two nights this week you’ve come home drunk.
In literally any other circumstance, Mike would mind his own business, but you live with Abby now.
He remembers the little furrow of Abby’s brow when he told her that you got sick. How worried would Abby get if she heard you puking in the middle of the night? How the fuck could he even begin to explain that to her?
Mike doesn’t want her to be around someone who’s drinking themselves stupid; It’s dysfunctional. Didn’t you have enough respect for Abby to understand that?
He’ll talk to you about it tomorrow night, but tonight, he checks the medicine cabinet. Just to make sure you have enough aspirin for tomorrow morning.
The next morning goes normally. You make breakfast. Abby gets ready. Mike does the dishes.
He doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath of the upcoming conflict quite yet.
Mike just picked you up from work. You applied extra makeup this morning to cover up the dark circles under your eyes, but Mike knows they’re there.
“So, wanna talk about what happened last night?” He doesn’t even bother hiding the judgment from his tone.
“What happened last night?”
Mike feels a flame of anger roll through his body. He has to take a breath before responding, “Don’t play dumb”
You stop sipping on your coffee and lean against the back of the seat. You look out the window for a moment, like you’re thinking really hard about something.
Mike’s thumbs lightly tap the steering wheel. He can feel his temper simmer under his vertebrae.
You lick your lips, and fiddle with the hem of your shirt, “Okay, but first I want to apologize.”
He stays silent, but he’s a little surprised.
“I’ve been irresponsible, and inconsiderate, and I’m really sorry. It’s not fair for you to have to deal with the fallout of my bullshit.”
Mike agrees, but he’s not sure what he could say without expressing that agreement. So, he stays silent.
You rub your eyes, “Oliver and I broke up.”
Mike knows this. You didn’t tell him, but he lives with you, it’s not that hard to put two and two together. Why does it matter?
“I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with him, you know?”
Oh. No. He didn’t.
“I just… I’ve been taking it kind of hard,” you sit up, and your voice gains a bit of confidence, “it’s not an excuse, though. I promise it won’t happen again.”
Mike hears your promise, and releases a long breath he didn’t know he was holding.
You wanted to spend the rest of your life with Oliver. That’s… it makes sense that you’ve been getting drunk a lot.
“It’s okay,” he adjusts his hold on the steering wheel, and keeps his tone soft; like he’s trying to caress you with words, “it’s just with Abby - you know?” he shrugs and allows his sentence to hang in the air.
“No, yeah absolutely, I get it. I’m sorry I put you both in that position.”
Your words sound genuine.
Mike literally feels the fight flood out of his nervous system. The emptiness leftover makes him want to go to sleep.
The thought of the conversation tugged on his brain all day, like he was unconsciously gearing up for a fight, and now that it’s over he feels drained.
The drive stays silent until he arrives at Abby’s school. But it’s not submissive or uncomfortable silence. Mike doesn’t feel suffocated by the lack of conversation.
He’s parked at the front of the school when you talk again.
“Are we okay?” you ask, and the softness of your tone makes Mike melt.
“Yeah,” for the first time in the entire conversation - Mike looks at you - and he’s kind of surprised to find you already looking at him, “Yeah, we’re okay.”
Mike did not expect the apology, but he’s glad he got it.
If he’s being honest, he expected you to justify why you’ve been drinking, but your willingness to take accountability came completely out of left field.
That’s not to say Mike feels the apology was unnecessary. It’s more like, he wanted a justification for your behavior; he wanted to understand why you did what you did before getting truly upset with you, but he didn’t expect you to acknowledge how your crisis affected him. But you did.
It’s like, he went into a restaurant expecting his favorite meal, but instead he gets his favorite meal plus an ingredient that he didn’t know would make the entire meal better.
It makes him feel seen.
It makes him like you more.
After that, you seem more comfortable around Mike, and you don’t go out as often.
If you do, you’re home before midnight, and you’re sober.
If you’re not sober, you call, and let Mike know you’re staying at a friend’s for the night.
You act a bit differently too.
It’s kind of strange, because Mike thought you felt comfortable around him before that conversation, but apparently he underestimated how often you try to keep a professional facade around him and Abby.
But now, you allow him to see you in pajamas.
He didn’t even know you owned pajamas.
They’re cute and baggy; fluffy sweats that pool around your ankles, and a matching sweater.
You buy a shelf for Abby’s art supplies. You put it in the living room, in case she wants to draw while she watches TV.
Mike starts to wear sweats too.
Abby’s drawings start to fill up the empty space on the refrigerator

I really hope this isn't too weird... I saw a tweet recently talking about a trope of "Just the tip" porn where they promise they won't put it all the way in and then do.
Completely understand if this isn't something you're comfortable with! But I'd love a SoapGhost version (if you are cool, I might ask for other ships too)
Consent is dubious. Consent is shy. Consent is in the other room but they can kinda hear it.
Ghost was just fine with their current sex life. He gave Soap a blowjob or a handjob anytime Soap got hard. He'd think he'd would be happy about that. Unlimited pleasure with no need to give anything back.
But Soap was not. He was constantly begging Ghost to let him please him too. Ghost always brushed it off or insisted not right now.
Ghost was well aware if he actually told Soap no, he'd stop. He'd be upset, maybe a tiny bit of pouting, but he'd stop. Still, he let the little game continue.
Soap stopped mentioning it for a while. Funnily enough, he never sought Ghost out. If he really thought about it, all of their sexual encounters were initiated and started by Ghost. Ghost just didn't get off.
Soap had his fingers dug into Ghost's hair, panting and whimpering as he tried not to come yet while Ghost mused. His fingers were working him open.
In all honestly, he hadn't had sex in years. After Roba, he barely had a will to touch himself, let alone allow anyone else to touch him and see him so vulnerable. It took him this long to be able to do this. In his opinion Soap should be grateful instead of greedy.
Though, that wasn't fair. Soap hadn't even seen Ghost fully undressed.
Johnny sobbed as he came, throwing his head back. Ghost kept his legs open so he could keep going for another minute before puling away.
Soap groaned softly and his hips jerked. He looked down just fast enough to watch Ghost swallow.
"Fuck, Simon. Finally going to let me return the favor?"
"Nah." Ghost stood up.
Soap looked a tiny bit defeated before looking at the bulge in Ghost's pants. Quietly, he leaned forward, mouthing at him. "Don't you want something?"
Ghost felt his cock twitch. It was a pretty picture. But he grabbed his mohawk and yanked his head away. "Maybe later."
Soap made a sinful fucking sound. He ran his tongue along the bulge in Ghost's pants. "Thank you so much, Si." Ghost wanted to think it was his excellent head giving that he was thinking him for but it was instead the idea of later.
He just didn't get the big deal.
Ghost finally gave in though. As he always did when it was something Soap wanted. He found himself surprisingly less comfortable than he expected, but he only gave off confidence, refusing to have Soap seeing him anything but. The idea of Soap finding him weak was nauseating. He didn't want to mess up.
Soap didn't know yet that Ghost was going to give in that, so he started up on it. "If we did fuck, who would top and who would bottom?"
"Don't know."
"Guess we'll have to go by dick size. You know, its completely fine if you're smaller than me. Won't think any less of you." Ghost could tell it was supposed to be a joke but also reassurance. He rolled his eyes as he looked through his drawers for new boxers for Soap.
Soap sighed. "Simon, come on. It's not fair."
"To me?" Ghost unzipped his pants, being silent so he wouldn't know.
"To me! I like helping. I don't get why you're...." Soap trailed off. "ah..."
Ghost was big. He was well aware. Judging by the look on Soap's face, Johnny hadn't thought of that yet. "There. I'd top."
Soap nodded. "I can... use my hand?"
"Where did all that bravado go? Huh? Suddenly get nervous?"
Soap laughed nervously, proving Ghost's words. "Listen.... sure I can't top?"
"Your rules." Ghost started to fix his pants again, going back to his original idea of finger Soap until he came from that. He could let Soap think about it for a few da-
"Wait... I could blow you?"
"Soap, need you speaking the next few days. I've seen the way you handle fingers." Ghost rolled his shoulders. "We don't have to do this."
Soap groaned. "You have too much self control when it comes to sex."
"I get you off and then we can move on."
Soap swallowed and looked at Ghost's cock again. Ghost could see the wheels in his brain moving. He chewed his lip and it was already clear he wouldn't let this go until he got Ghost off.
"What if I promise to just put the tip in?" Ghost asked, curious on if he'd even go for it.
Soap thought about it. He wanted to please Ghost so much. "Yeah. Just the tip. Promise just the tip?"
Ghost laughed. "Yes. Just the tip. I promise." He doubted he'd have that big of an issue with it.
Soap was already prepped which is perfect. He laid back down and let Ghost get on top of him. Slowly, Ghost positioned himself. At this point, he was praying to himself that he wouldn't come immediately. It was definitely a possibility. Gently, he started to push in, feeling the tight walls around his cock.
Ghost hear the whine that came out of him and his eyes rolled back. It felt so good. He forgot how good it felt.
Soap groaned and clenched hard. "Fuck. You're so big. Feel nice?"
Ghost bit his lip to try to shut up and just nodded. This was so much better than he remembered. Soap always wanted more... It wouldn't hurt.
"Ghost? Wha-"
Ghost pushed in more, moaning properly. He whimpered. "Don't make me pull out, fuck, please don't make me pull out."
Soap panted. "Fuck, fucking hell. You're so big. How do you even...." He clenched hard and gasped for air. "I don't think I can fit it."
Ghost started to rock his hips. This is what he had been telling Soap no over? He started to work himself in deeper as Soap continued making sinful noises.
"Si, Simon, Simon." Soap bit his pillow and let Ghost keep going. He started to thrust in with no abandon, hearing Soap's noises being swallowed.
Ghost kept pushing. He knew Soap would tell him to stop if he actually wanted to. That's how they worked.
Ghost moaned when he finally bottomed out. "Fucking hell, Johnny." He panted softly as he started to fuck him. He never wanted to pull out. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
Soap arched his back and let him keep going. Ghost heard, and felt, him come around him. He finished and came inside him.
Soap fell into the sheets and whimpered as Ghost pulled out. His hole gaped and Ghost groaned.
"Sorry."
Soap panted softly. "Don't worry about it. You can do it again, any time. I promise."
Ghost nodded and groped his ass. "I didn't mean to be so rough with you."
Soap moaned and pushed back against him. "Felt so good. So good." He relaxed into the pillows. "You got off right?"
"Yes, Johnny. Sorry for not asking."
"I loved it. Don't even worry."

Hello! I saw your works of what Kaveh and Cyno would be like as parents... That leaves me thinking of Al-haitham as a father. Would him take his child to his grandmother? Would he read them advanced physics books? (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
scholarly lineage.
summary. what would alhaitham be like as a father?
trigger & content warnings. brief hypothetical mentions of assault in general, can be interpreted as s/a, but is not explicitly stated to be that way. sensory overload mentions. spoilers for alhaitham's character stories.
tropes, pairings, fic length, & other notes. fluff. dad!alhaitham & reader. 0.7k words. they/them pronouns for reader. in this fic, alhaitham and the reader are both written as neurodivergent in some way; interpret it however you please!
author's thoughts. OUGDHSJGSJSG wait this is so cute. dad alhaitham..... it is such a cool thought, because with alhaitham, i don't think there's any obvious or "correct" way to write him as a dad. he could be overprotective. he could be very casual, the "cool dad" if you will. also i know i haven't been posting as much recently! it's literally only because i've been hyperfixating on hsr... whoops. /lh
Tumblr media
alhaitham as a father is a very interesting concept to me. now, believe it or not, i feel like he is a less strict father than cyno. he's actually relatively laid-back.
alhaitham is the kind of guy who raises his child to be smart. he raises them to play the game, not to be played by it, you know? therefore, he believes in his child's judgement and their ability to make wise decisions. he feels no need to be protective over them.
(however... that does not mean someone could do something harmful to them and get away with it. if anyone does anything to hurt them? abuses them? verbally, physically, or worse? good lord, he does not take well to that. he is a man with power, and by the gods, he'll use it if he has to in their defense.)
if his child has sensory issues, alhaitham is very attentive to those things and will get them any and all needed accommodations. if they struggle with auditory sensory issues where they get easily overwhelmed? they'll have ear pieces that match his. <3
when people point it out, depending on who they are, they will get one of two responses; either him very blatantly admitting that yes, their headset matches his, or him getting a little embarrassed and claiming it was all he had on hand at the moment. liar. /lh
it's kaveh that gets the latter response, of course.
if they ever happen to get annoyed with their father in their moments of overwhelm, he doesn't take it personally at all. sensory overload will do that to a person. he gets it, tbh.
i think alhaitham would definitely want his kid to attend the akademiya. ideally, haravatat, but he supposes he'd be okay if they enrolled in a different darshan. he'll recover...
UNLESS they enroll in kshahrewar. alhaitham would NEVER recover from a betrayal of that magnitude!! however, his grandmother herself was from kshahrewar, so... well. he'd get over it, he guesses. he'd still prefer if they enrolled in haravatat.
whatever darshan they enroll in honestly doesn't matter, though, because if anyone gives them trouble for any reason? all alhaitham has to do is give the problematic person a single look and suddenly the issue is resolved! apparently people think he's scary. not that he minds. he likes it that way; it keeps trouble away from both him and his child.
of course, he won't intervene unless they specifically seek out his help, because he knows his kid can handle themselves. still, he pulls a few strings behind the scenes every now and then. he doesn't really want to see his kid struggle. he knows they're intelligent, and he also knows he doesn't have to worry about them not wanting to work for themselves. therefore, he sees no reason to let them struggle needlessly.
he'd also understand if they weren't too big a fan of being surrounded by so many people. he isn't fond of it, either, so he'd let them stay in his office whenever needed. he'll even invite them to do their classwork in there rather than anywhere else in the akademiya, simply so that they don't have to be around a bunch of random people they couldn't possibly be less interested in.
alhaitham definitely read his kid very difficult books when they were little, which would totally lead to them being ahead of their peers. that really wouldn't be unexpected, i think. they probably enrolled in the akademiya a little early.
you know that "i know you don't know any astronomical pretentious voluminous colossal words" audio? yeah, that was alhaitham's kid when they were small.
also, yes, alhaitham would absolutely take them to his grandmother!! i think she would see their father in them, just like how she saw alhaitham's parents in him. of course, this is before her death.
i think alhaitham would ultimately be content that his child got to meet the woman who raised him.
to think that she saw himself in them...
it brings him an odd sense of pride and comfort.
and as a little treat:
kaveh is kind of like another dad (or like a wine uncle LMAO) for them. do what you will with this information.
please consider reblogging, it helps me out quite a lot!

I have a million thoughts about the ending of ofmd. I think overall it felt a bit rushed, through no fault of djenks or anyone else, but because they were given less episodes to work with.
All things considered with a shortened season and budget cuts I think they pulled it off pretty well.
The one thing that I just can’t get past is Izzy. Don’t read any further if you don’t want spoilers.
so, David Jenkins has said that the plan was always to kill Izzy off. And honestly, I think there was a way to do that where I still could have been satisfied with the ending even if I didn’t like seeing my fave die. But because it was a shorter season, it felt rushed. There was barely any time for mourning, to really feel the impact of his death. Even if it had been to save one of the crew that might have made it feel more congruent with his arc this season. But it was so sudden and we didn’t get time to sit with it before everyone quickly moved on to their happy endings. It just felt like such tonal whiplash.
(I also in general have a real disdain for the trope of traumatized characters only finding rest or redemption in death. But that’s more of a personal preference.)
I can totally understand why Izzy would have to die from a symbolic perspective. As he says to Ed in his final scene, they were both a part of Blackbeard. However, he also spent this season growing outside of that relationship, building a family with the crew and finding out who he wanted to be. From a queer perspective, it felt really jarring watching a character like that finally come into his own only to die shortly after (I am absolutely not saying that it was homophobic. I am just saying as a queer person it was hard to watch that journey end that way. This show is the farthest thing from homophobic.) Also the symbolism of his leg and him being part of the Revenge only to die and be left behind? Really painful to watch. (Also I have feelings about the disabled character being the one to get killed off but idk quite how to write about that right now)
My final gripe, was his death scene. Everyone acted beautifully in it, as usual. And I’m glad that he apologized to Ed for his role in feeding into Blackbeard. But I didn’t like that it was all about Edward. The line where Izzy tells him he has a family and they love him felt so out of place. Because we’ve seen very little this season of Ed interacting with the crew (after terrorizing them as Blackbeard of course), but beyond making general amends his story has been focused a lot on him and Stede this season. Izzy is the one we’ve been seeing find a family with these people.
Anyway, I think they did a decent job all things considered and it’s not their fault it felt rushed. Con O’Neill is an acting master and I loved watching him do his thing. I feel kind of bad for complaining about the ending because this show has given me so much in terms of representation and queer joy, but this one moment just doesn’t sit right with me. Overall very grateful for this show and I will miss Izzy so so so much.

Hi, there~! So I have this really fun idea in my head. I would like a headcannon in which the fem! reader asks the Dorm Leaders to be her pretend boyfriend. But what happens when the boys fall in love for real? Super fluff, please! Thanks!
Fake/pretend dating with dorm leaders
Includes-Leona Kingscholar, Azul Ashengrotto, Malleus Draconia, Kalim Al Asim, Vil Shoenheit, Idia Shroud, Riddle Rosehearts
A/N- I think these are the longest headcanons I’ve ever done but I love this trope-
Please reblog or comment if you enjoyed!!
Leona Kingscholar-
It was some dumb bet from Ruggie but you’d lose too much money if you lost, so you sucked it up and went over to ask Leona to be your boyfriend or at least pretend so you wouldn’t go broke
He’s snickering the entire time, eyes glimmering with amusement as you mumble your request
He takes great enjoyment in your embarrassment and you almost have to scream it at him to get him to agree
He agrees, just for a week and you have to do whatever he says in return have fun cleaning his room and other messes
Ruggie is now extremely happy because you have to do his job
Leona likes how he can obnoxiously pull your hair in magic history when he’s bored, and haul you away from classes
Oh also, now you’re basically a human pillow, he’s constantly dragging you too take naps with him
Leona’s still smart and observant, he knows when he’s in love with you and will likely burst into whatever class, club, or nap you were having to ask you out. For real this time.
Azul Ashengrotto-
Honestly he’s the one who asks you too fake date him, his business has been getting less publicity lately and dating the new magicless dorm leader would definitely incite some good rep
Plus now he can coerce you into turning your empty dorm into a mostro lounge branch! In return he’ll pay you well and help you with any studies for the entire rest of your school year!! It’s a good deal and you sign it with a contract
At the beginning it’s all very normal, but slowly he begins to enjoy this deal more than he thought he would
Azul is a bit touch starved so every time you lightly kiss his cheek in pubic, he completely flusters
It’s the same for you when you happen to be working on a extremely hard piece of homework and he whispers the answer in your ear and then swiftly walks away as though nothing happened
It’s a fun game and even at the end of the year he doesn’t want it to end
“ Shall we extend this contract? Forever?“
Malleus Draconia-
Lilia had seen you and Malleus talk once, and now all he thinks about is what color he’ll wear to your wedding
He’s constantly “coincidentally” signing Malleus up for all the classes you take or "coincidentally" locking you two in broom closets
It’s very exhausting, and when you both have had enough you and Malleus decide to pretend to date to get Lilia to calm down for a while
Spending time with Malleus you got to know him more than anyone probably could. He’s not used to company considering how most people are afraid of him, but begins to enjoy it
He comes to ramshackle dorm every night for his daily walk, now opting to take you along. The moon and his hand holding yours is the only sense of direction you have, but it’s all you need.
“Perhaps we could do this forever?” “I’d like that”
Kalim Al Asim-
It’s not super complicated with Kalim, you want him too pretend to be your boyfriend? Sure that’s fine!!
One of the best things about him is that he won’t push you on why you want him to do this. You’re his friend, if fake dating will help you in any way he’s down!
That changed when he realizes he’s actually falling for you
Kalim is typically pretty oblivious so he doesn’t know exactly what to do
Suddenly, something that was a casual thing is something he can’t live without
The moment he realizes this, he drops everything and runs to you-and just by the look on his face and the way he crashes his lips on yours, you know this was never pretend
Vil Shoenheit-
Vil is famous, being in a relationship would cause huge scandal and completely ruin his career, but sometimes he feels alone and wants to be cared for the way he sees the couples laughing through the hallways with hands clasped
He doesn’t want to ask any of his friends so why not the person he just so happens to be alchemy partners with?
So one day, out of nowhere he’ll blurt-“will you let me be your boyfriend?-pretend of course.” Once you accept he’ll try all the stereotypical couples things
Picnics, ice skating dates, stargazing, cooking together, cute stuff
Vil finds himself getting a little too attached, he feels so at ease with you
It’s scares him a little, the way he’s already fallen so deeply for you
But he loves the way things are now, real or not he doesn’t want to ruin that
Idia Shroud-
You need a date to the school dance, he needs a date to the dance. . .
But really when you come up to him asking him to pretend to be your date, he’s half flattered-like his face is entirely red and he can barely answer, but another part of him is a little sad
You don’t want him too be your real boyfriend? He brushes it off, far too happy to at least be your date to be too bothered
He picks out his best suit and shows up with flowers, gentlemanly but still in a nervous sweat
Everyone is a little suprised to see the both of arrive together, and as Idia’s about to run out far away from all the stares, you pull him to dance
He’ll never forget how it felt to melt into your smile and the feeling of slowly forgetting that anyone else was even there, laughing and twirling- it didn’t feel fake
It felt like the happiest night of his life. “Could we go out as a real couple?” He says it confidently because it’s something he’s sure about
Well so much for fake dating, you answer him with a passionate kiss
Riddle Rosehearts-
It was some dumb dare from Ace and Deuce, you had enough with their teasing about how you would you would be single forever and now to spite them you were standing in front of Heartslabyul’s dorm leader, persuading him to pretend to be your boyfriend for a while
At first Riddle is very offended that you would ask him on a fake date, and for something so silly? But eventually with the promise of strawberry tarts and the thought of Ace and Deuces shocked faces, he gives in
The entire Heartslabyul is shocked that their stony strict dorm warden is dating someone
Riddle has never been in a relationship so he’s actually quite nervous, he almost screams the first time you grab his hand
He’s completely red afterwards and refuses to look at you
He tries to deny actually being in love with you for as long as possible, but he doesn’t want to lose you either
After shoving his pride down for a bit, he invites you for tea and a heartfelt confession

So. I hate that this even has to be stated, because it should be a GIVEN, but.
This project and all people involved in the process of making it DO NOT, under any circumstances, tolerate:
- Racism
- Ableism
- Transphobia
- Homophobia
Or any other kind of bigotry, hate speech, harassment, or general shitty behavior. We are appalled at the things we are seeing being sent to other creators askboxes, even fans askboxes, and are severely disappointed in the community for behaving in this manner.
We know this is a small-but-loud minority of hateful members, but still. It's not acceptable. In no world should someone be called a "monkey" (HELLO??? DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF???) or sent transphobic messages in their askboxes.
Frankly, it's a bit terrifying. Where will the line be drawn for these harassers? How far is too far for them? What will they do next? Do I need to worry about my friends or fans in this community being sent death threats, next?
I'm appalled, but moreover I'm genuinely concerned about this community. We came here to share stories, be creative together, and have fun with a wider community who love the themes and tropes we love. Now, it feels almost as though the community is being turned against eachother from the inside out. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if maybe some TERFs/SWERFs or other bigoted people are capitalizing on the drama to stir shit and have a smokescreen under which to send their hate - it's unfortunately a tactic I've seen happen too often in too many communities.
While I have no proof that this is what's genuinely happening, I would like to encourage fans and creators alike to keep an eye out, block hateful anons where you see them, and if you feel safe and mentally well enough, check blogs that show up in your block lists to verify this suspicion.
I do not want anyone to retaliate to these blogs, as that would be lowering yourselves to their level and involving yourselves in drama that would be stressful on your mental, emotional, and possibly even physical health. I do, however, think it may be a POTENTIAL STRATEGY (note I say potential, here) to share these blog names PRIVATELY, and ONLY for the purpose of blocking and blacklisting - nothing else.
Again, do not retaliate to these blogs if you do happen to find out who they are. I strongly discourage that action and am not advising it in any way.
Retaliating against them would do several things:
- Give them an "excuse" to continue sending hate.
- Involve you in potentially dangerous drama.
- Expose you and your friends to hate campaigns and all associated hate messages.
- Continue a cycle of drama that nobody needs.
- Generally making the community even less safe.
So please, IF YOU DO find out who these people are, share PRIVATELY and SOLELY TO BLOCK/BLACKLIST.
In general, let's make this community safe, not only for races of all kinds, but also for every disability that we possibly can (we understand that some accommodations contradict eachother, which is a symptom of how varied the disability spectrum is, but that's deserving of a whole post of it's own), every sexuality under the sun, every gender expression and lack thereof.
We stand with the queer, disabled, and POC members of the yansim community, who quite frankly have made this community POSSIBLE. There's no denying they are a large percentage of this community and as such deserve respect for building the foundations of this place.
To my fellow creators, stay strong, turn off anons if you feel the need to, and don't let the hate drown out the work you're putting into this world.
To fans, please show eachother and creators your support, keep making fanart and blurbs and fanfics and headcanons, and in general keep putting good out into the community to keep it alive and drown out this hate and drama.
We CAN make it through this, we CAN keep going, and we CAN continue creating wonderful stories - together.
Stay safe, hydrate, eat, take meds/breaks from binders and gaffs/sleep if you need to, and we love you.

Would Empress Luz (once things are cleared up with Raine and Darius via mindscape trauma adventures) want to try reuniting with Camila via portal? I can see things re her and Vee and everything else coming to light (if Vee could even keep up the illusion that long) being very interesting/traumatising. Both for Luz, Vee and Camila and for Hunter and the rest of her newer adoptive family (Raine, Darius and Eda. I'd hope there'd eventually be a happy ending to it, but it would take some work.
ooh i actually do have an answer for this one!
in this AU, luz has been in the isles since she was about four, so her memories of the human world are vague and dreamy. she remembers having had human parents who loved her, but she wouldn't be able to pick them out of a lineup. (this also led to some upsetting discussions in my writing group chat about the consequences of her being raised by a colonizer - she's lost her spanish, is slightly more anxious about gender roles, etc, it's...... deeply sad and shitty)
the idea of returning to the human realm honestly scares the crap out of luz.
for one, she's much more comfortable around magic than she would be in a magic-less world; even though she KNOWS that she wouldn't be physically disabled in the human world like she is in the isles, and that she'd have an easier time finding food that doesn't make her sick, etc. she has some anxieties about how maybe she ~*~belongs~*~ there, because belos coming to the isles was clearly Not Fucking Good For Anyone. and on a more pointed note, belos used the human world to threaten her when they were fighting about hunter. so she has Very Few positive associations with the place
i'm FASCINATED by the concept of vee managing to escape and switch places with her around that time, i hadn't considered that before and it's. harrowing. it becomes kind of a changeling fairytale, right, except the changeling Knows she isn't human and remembers just enough to be TERRIFIED of being found out and sent back to the fae world.... GOD. poor vee. this is DELICIOUS.
the version of the story i've been working with so far, though, is one with this idea from my friend mock, because it fucking Haunts Me:
vee ends up escaping at around the same time as canon (well -- two years later, since luz is sixteen when the major events of the story play out). and when vee sees camila coming in the house, she takes the shape of the first person she sees in photos.
toddler luz.
aka. the daughter that camila is reasonably certain has been dead for over a decade.
i'm just imagining camila like. having a shaky near-sobbing breakdown and scooping vee-luz up and calling a friend like, i need you to come over and tell me if i'm hallucinating or if i'm seeing a real ghost. because camila KNOWS that if her daughter was alive, she'd be sixteen now.
i THINK vee would fess up pretty fast after that. because she feels Horrifically Guilty, AND because she can't play a Miracle Baby without inviting questions from much scarier humans, And because camila seems both so kind and so upset that vee is hoping she can make a break for it if she has to.
it's common knowledge in the isles that the princess is human, even though belos isn't out as human himself. because belos has been using luz as an excuse to do some human-supremacist white-savior-trope "the titan brought her from Real civilization to save you from yourselves <3" bullshit
and i think that vee would probably tell camila that. i'm 50/50 on whether vee knows luz's name or not (she certainly wouldn't know the name 'noceda,' at least). but either way, i think that camila would be like. okay. i have to be practical. i can't get my hopes up like this. my daughter is dead and it would be insane of me to chase this fantasy.
.....but i Have to know.
and like. she ESPECIALLY fucking has to know if she's heard even a Fraction of what vee has been through. vee has probably characterized the princess as just as evil as the rest of the royal family. but camila knows that even IF that's true, upbringing has a big impact on someone's character, and if her daughter was raised by an evil fascist then..... someone has to help her. no matter how terrible she is.
so i just imagine like. camila managing to find her way into the boiling isles (how this happens is up in the air. i haven't figured out exact portal logistics), IMMEDIATELY outing herself as a human, and demanding to see the emperor. and being told that the emperor died very recently, but she can meet the empress instead.
and it's luz. and luz's public-facing persona is made of steel (albeit friendly and kind steel), but her private self is transparently fragile in ways that are Extremely Alarming, and camila is like.
okay.
what. the fuck. did that man do to you.
(there's a background fic here. for anyone looking for expansion on uh. what exactly that man did to her. yikes!)

Red Hood, other Anti-Heroes/Villians and the issue with killing in comics.
First here's the thing before you read this, I just wanna say this isn't a post complaining about if killing is good or not, far from it so don't worry.
Tumblr media
I also wanna say really like Jason Todd. One of my favorite Robins though I like him more as Red Hood. My only issue with him is that DC is stuck with his direction as a character(Not as much as Tim at least). For a lot of reasons
One of those things is that anti-Heroes don't work in main superhero universes at least in DC, in Marvel killing isn't looked down on much unless you do it like the Punisher(Consistently, no exceptions and extreme)
When I'm talking about Anti-Heroes I mean who don't hesitate to kill, because the definition of Anti-Heroes even include guys like Batman, Spider-Man, Iron man and Daredevil (Classical Anti-Heroes,Disney Anti Hero,) talking about the types like Huntress and Red Hood(Unscrupulous Hero) and Punisher (Nominal Hero).
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Analysis/AntiHero if you wanna know what I'm talking about.
Tumblr media
An issue they have is that they kill criminals consistently, and those criminals include supervillains but in comic books, villians in comics are kinda a commodity. Villians are what makes the heroes. So DC obviously will never let Jason kill the Joker or Riddler or Poison Ivy or Bane, or let Frank Castle kill Green Goblin or Kingpin. That's getting rid of a commodity that writers need for stories.
It's why I laugh when people say why doesn't Batman kill the Joker or something, they won't let him guys. Joker is too popular to kill same with the rest of his rouges, the writers need the villians to continue writing more stories and if time has taught us anything is that new villians don't even catch on most of the time to replenish the old popular ones.
So Frank and Jason and left to keep offing mooks, looking stupid and incompetent for not taking out the actual threats or just offing D-listers, it then brings up the question of why doesn't JASON kill the Joker since he's always talking about how willing to kill he is. yeah sure they'll write Batman like the biggest dick to fight him not too but there has been times when nothing has been stopping Jason to do it, see what I mean?
There's also another thing that DC and Marvel just won't let chracters less popular than the big no kill rule big heroes be more effective (and this is coming from a guy whofor the most part is anti killing). You really think Marvel is gonna let Red Hood have the moral high ground with Batman or Punisher with Spider-Man or Captain America?
But yeah I don't wanna get into the whole 'should heroes kill debate' here just making a point.
This is why they honestly work in outside comic universes like the games or movies. See the 'Superhero Movie Villains Die' trope
Tumblr media
Basically they just don't mesh well with the status quo nature of comics.
So now we have heroes/villians(yes I consider frank a borderline villian) who are known for killing but can't kill anyone significant for multiple reasons, like how Red Hood by the New 52 had like 83 kills but no one in there was anyone actually important.
This is why Punishers best run was in an entire different universe where heroes didn't exist so he could kill Kingpin without issues. With Punisher they can always stick with that or just do what they usually do and make him take out mooks and barely developed rouges. They recently made him the head of the hand and gave him superpowers, it's actually interesting in my opinion.
With Jason it's more complicated. There's two sides, he drops guns and killing and joins up with the bat family as a kind of character development or he unrepentantly leaves the bat family behind and starts killing people and using guns then runs into all the issues I mentioned above. The latter side believes that hum dropping killing and guns removes everything that makes him interesting while the former believes it's good character progression for him to drop it. I think both have good points.
Personally I think they should lean into the supernatural side of him, like go all in and make him the dude in the Batfamily that handles supernatural threats, his the only one in the family that has straight up superpowers (Edit: forgot Duke, forgive me but he got them before him so point stands I guess) with his All blades so take those and have him to team up with Zatanna or Constantine, fighting vampires and zombies. (Happy to see they are doing this with Cass kinda I haven't read Spirit World)
Or they lean into the Task Force Z/Outlaws/DCeased aspect of him leading other Mistfits, Anti-Heroes and Villians into becoming better people like with the thunderbolts from Marvel. Maybe hook him up with some kinda of government connection so people he kills aren't illegal during this redemption quests or something.
Well I've got nothing else to ramble about.

sts day! :bongo:
Do you have a trope or theme that makes it into everything you write? Is it intentional or does it just Happen?
Sts day! :D
Well. More or less. I'm just gonna pretend it's Saturday. Ahem.
I was also tagged by @winterandwords and @moremysteriesthantragedies AND @clairelsonao3 with basically the same question, and I am not gonna type it three times, soooo...
Rules: Look back on your work, both past and present, finished and unfinished. What are five to ten narrative elements or tropes that continuously pop up in your work?
You can probably fill a bingo sheet with things that make it into everything I write, but I don't like thinking too hard about themes/tropes—look at the right list and everything is a trope. At the same time, I don't want to say "oh yes, that's clearly what I intended" because somewhere out there is some asshat who will tell me I Am Doing It Wrong, and I am not dealing with that.
🌟 Magic!
I just love myself some magic in any shape or form, even if it's just a part of the world. Healing magic. Elemental magic. Floaty things. Glowing crystals.
🫤 Loneliness
Almost all my protagonists are alone in one way or another; no friends, family dead or estranged, betrayed by a lover, you name it.
😭 Hopelessness
I want my chars at their lowest point and then a bit lower, half a step away from death and knowing there's no way out. And then I want them saved <3
🩸 Blood
Is blood a theme? It is now. All the mental anguish isn't fun if there aren't at least some injuries to go with it.
🌈 Queer Characters
In different flavors, though my heart belongs to my ace babies.
👩‍🦯 Disabled Characters
It's not usually something I mention, but well. It happens. Especially if you bury them under a mountain, or blow them up, or... uh yeah.
🌎 Low Stakes for the World, High Stakes for the Characters
No one's saving the world. There's no chosen one and no hero's journey. The characters are just trying to live their life in peace (and I am trying to stop them—for a while.)
💜 Happy Ends
I'm not writing anything without a happy end. Honestly, I even avoid character death (good guys) along the way. There's so much of that out there, and I don't want to do it, simple as that.
As for the question which of those are intentional and which aren't, I plead the... which one is it where you don't have to incriminate yourself?
I'm gonna tag @little-peril-stories @serotoninshift @verkja and @starlit-hopes-and-dreams if you want to do it!
If anyone else wants to do it, I'll leave it as an open tag.

For the writing asks, how about any of these?
17 - Do you have a writing routine?
56 - Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?
77 - Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?
Ty!
Thanks for the questions!
17. Ugh, not really. I tend to just write when I have downtime, but, honestly, there are absolutely times when it's been less downtime and more like...I'm having to choose between writing and the giant pile of clean laundry sitting in my living room and the laundry is simply being neglected (this is definitely just an example and definitely not reflective of the giant pile of clean laundry currently sitting in my living room. Of course not.). I do probably need to have more of a life routine in general because I know I do better with one, and writing will be a regular part of that, but right now, it's just sort of a whenever I can sort of thing.
56. Oh, for sure. There are some themes in Purpose of Heritage that I wish I'd either introduced earlier or made a bit tighter. I generally like Collateral and I think it ties into The Empire Strikes Back quite well, but there is some minor inconsistency in character interactions in early chapters that I don't feel made sense even just a couple of chapters later, so I could do with rewriting that one (I'm not going to, to be clear). And I feel like the pacing of Spiral Together could use some work. But I made a rule for myself when I first started posting that I wasn't going to do retroactive edits because otherwise...I would probably still be rewriting Collateral. Once it's posted, the only edits that are made are if there is a typo egregious enough for me to go to the trouble of updating the story on FFN. Because updating stories on FFN is a pain in the butt, so if the typo isn't egregious enough to warrant that, I don't edit retroactively. (There is technically one exception to this: I changed a line in Reconstitution, but I changed it so soon after posting, I would be shocked if anyone read the original version.)
77. I enjoy writing fanfiction for a number of reason. I like the community aspect of it -- there are a bunch of people who have strong feelings about characters and worlds and stories, so much so that they want to create things themselves. I like the ability to take a franchise that's understandably pretty surface-level given its target audience and delve deeper into possible character motivations and realistic depictions of what a character might be going through emotionally. I like being able to drop right into the fun stuff without having to do a bunch of worldbuilding if I don't feel like it. And I like that tropes are a thing, and that we could all look at them as lame cliches, but instead, we kind of just embrace the fact that we each like certain tropes, and sometimes it's not about the originality of the idea, but the artistry in executing a well-worn concept. That's fun to me.
Thanks again for the questions!
ask me stuff!

Okay so the polls have determined I'm talking about LPS.
Tbh, I don't have a whole lot to talk about when it comes to my favorite little toys from the 2000s, especially since my collection is at home, but I do have a few things!
First is my favorites! Aka Creme (Angora Rabbit #2480) and Tytus! (Goat #1786). Creme I've had since I was a kid and was one of my first pets (along with the Rat #2481 she came with who I've since lost)
Tumblr media
Them
There's also my girl, Sydney Petrovsky. I was gonna replace her before she quickly grew on me
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her neck spring or something is broke so her head sinks down, making her a little short and 9 year old me painted her with black oil paint that smugged her original markings a bit. All in all, she's a little roughed up but I say that adds to her character.
An example of how she should look is Sara, the replacement I forgot I ordered, who, while damaged, is still in a little better condition than Sydney.
Tumblr media
Asides from my favs... I guess I gave Garrett, the pet I brought with me to work. Since my apron has a pocket, I've been bringing one of my pets with me every shift.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gecko.
Edit: since this took me two days, Garrett was who I brought yesterday. Today was Alli
Tumblr media
Honestly, LPS was one of my main hyperfixations as a kid. One of my mains before discovering Undertale and I frequented LPStube as much as I could back then. (Though oddly I never got into LPS Popular and still haven't watched it). I remember watching Cookieswirlc a good amount before they started making non LPS content. As well as a lot of skits and music videos. My friends and I would even make up a couple ourselves (though we didn't really have the resources to upload them, we could still record on my mom's camera and stuff.)
Because of this, I have a few old LPS series concepts. They're not all that good because I was like, nine. But I think it'd be interesting to revisit them sometime. The first series I can remember was Peter and Piper. Since I had a double of Monkey #485 (Likely because I somehow got one from my girlfriend considering she has one Squirrel #484 which came in a playset with the monkey).
The "plot" (if you could really call it that) of the series would be that the protagonist, Peter, played by one of the monkeys, had the power to... genderbend. Piper being his girl counterpart (played by the other monkey). Could I have executed this idea with just one monkey, likely. Was it a cringe idea especially considering modern times? Yes.
The other characters was a G4 Wolf (#3806) and a G3 Guinea Pig (#3299) who I don't recall the original names of, but whom I've since dubbed Lisa and Harvey. I also remember Lisa had ice powers, causing Harvey to sing Let It Go to annoy her. There was also something with the school mascot (because of course it was set at a high school) being a hybrid of a bunch of animals including like a tiger and a bear and a dragon I think.
I'm not sure how to adapt it, asides from probably making Peter a magical girl or something? (Also probably trans as I like that better than the gender bending thing)
The second show i had even less for. It was called Twins and stared Creme (my favorite Angora Rabbit from above) and another Angora I had at some point, a pink one with striped ears, #2132. (I've since lost this pet. Might've traded it with a friend)
Tumblr media
It was about an evil mirror dimension. As a kid, I used to believe mirrors were actually viewing portals into other dimensions and the inhabitants were opposites of us or something. A pretty common trope but I think nine year old Lorrie actually believed it.
Tbh, the concept of the 2nd one would work better with doubles compared to Peter and Piper, which might be possible with just one pet.
Anyways, that's all I have on LPS for now, anyone has any questions about my thoughts on certain pets or even some series, then shoot me an ask.

Well, after that fic, I need the Cinderella AU more than ever, can you imagine Hunter fighting with Amity and Willow? And then he is normal Blight, fighting her and all, insulting her and having no mercy, and then "Oh... Will-I MEAN plant witch😳 are you ok? O-oh... You want me to stop fighting? Well if you ask me like that, being so kind 👉👈" so shy and you have Amity looking at him so confused.
THANKS FOR THE RECOMENDATION!!! 💞💞💞
You're welcome!!! ^-^
HONESTLY I think if Amity realized that GG has a thing for Willow she would try to kill him on the spot. (The only thing stopping her would be Willow herself because she finds it hilarious)
GG would be all tsundere-like "It's not like I have a soft spot for her or anything" because he's a coven official and he's got to keep up appearances.
But the real Hunter is absolutely open and obvious about his feelings. He doesn't need/expect Willow to return them, he's just happy to have an opportunity to actually express them.
A lot of the dynamic would depend on whether others know his real identity or not.
Because if they did know, even "fighting" with Amity at some point would become routine and insults aren't serious. Hunter still believes Belos is the best thing in the world, he still needs his Hollow Mind moment, but he also cares about the other witches and has nothing against them, they just need to understand that if everyone followed Titan's will things would be better! But he doesn't want anyone to doubt him or his loyalty to the coven so he tries to keep up appearances. And everyone thinks it's so funny to see him try to pretend to not have the fattest most obvious crush on Willow. He would say something dumb as GG (he likes making up dramatic speeches but doesn't always think them through), and when he's in the Normal Hunter Mode everyone would be like "Oh why are you sitting so close to Willow? I thought you said her vile sorcery wasn't strong enough to distract you from the Titan's plans?"
Of course this dynamic can't last long, and eventually a Hollow Mind esque thing would happen, because you just can't keep someone who works directly with the main villain in your friend group with them changing sides or betraying you.
If they don't know however... I don't know how that would happen. Maybe Hunter wears a concealment stone under his mask and it changes his appearance when he meets Luz and Amity but he doesn't wear it for some reason when he goes to meet Willow? And the whole kidnapping bit at the end doesn't happen. He still goes by Caleb. Now this one has genuine secret identity.
Willow enjoys how flustered she can get the Golden Guard, but why would she think twice about him when Caleb is so sweet and right there? Maybe the fact that GG is attracted to her just makes her angry. He's a creep and he's working for Belos. It makes her skin crawl that he's probably having some weird fantasies about her. Maybe she even thinks he feels the same for her as Warden Wrath does for Eda. She likes Caleb, but he's so secretive. He probably doesn't feel comfortable sharing his secrets yet, and he's definitely not attracted to her like that. Why couldn't she catch his attention instead of GG? (This probably frustrates her and makes her go all out on GG when they meet).
In this one it might be the opposite to the previous actually: Caleb feels too scared to slip up and reveal his secrets, but as GG he has more confidence to actually say what he thinks (more or less. He still needs to keep up appearances).
But of course Luz and Amity from their encounters and Willow herself eventually sees that he's not that bad, that he has a heart and doesn't like to bring harm to people and he's just really misguided. Aaaaand there comes my favourite trope "I'm in love with two people what should I do (but actually those are the same person)"
Eventually the secret identity would have to get revealed, I don't think it would be too dramatic, but it would probably happen like. Just the day before Hollow Mind or something.

INTERVIEW WITH A WRITEBLR — @vmccombs
Who You Are:
V McCombs || She/her
I've been a military wife for more than thirty years. As a result, I've lived in England, Germany, Japan, and all over the United States. I have my MFA in Creative Writing, and after more than fifteen years teaching college writing classes, I've decided to try my hand at being a self-published author.
What You Write:
What genres do you write in? What age ranges do you write for?
Fanfic, fantasy, and sci-fi. New Adult and Adult.
What genre would you write in for the rest of your life, if you could? What about that genre appeals to you?
science fiction, I like how it forces you to speculate about what might be.
What genre/s will you not write unless you HAVE to? What about that genre turns you off?
Romance. I find it very limiting. I tried writing romances for a company before, and they made me adhere to a boring outline.
Who is your target audience? Do you think anyone outside of that would get anything out of your works?
People who like sci-fi and speculative fiction. I think anyone who likes a good adventure story would enjoy it as well.
What kind of themes do you tend to focus on? What kinds of tropes? What about them appeals to you?
I tend to write characters who need to figure out what they really want in life. I like it when my protagonist is full-on focusing on something, only to realize what they want is really something else.
What themes or tropes can you not stand? What about them turn you off?
I don't think I honestly have anything that turns me off in general. I find anything can be appealing, if it's written well.
What are you currently working on? How long have you been working on it?
A novella called Your Artificial Afterlife Awaits. I got the original idea almost two years ago, and now I'm working on what I hope will be the final draft.
Why do you write? What keeps you writing?
Because I get these ideas, and I feel like they have to come out. I enjoy working with stories, and even though the writing itself sometimes makes me crazy, not being able to write makes me more unhappy than anything.
How long have you been writing? What do you think first drew you to it?
I've been writing on and off since I was a kid. I've always been a voracious reader, and even back then, I would have ideas about where the stories I read should go.
Where do you get your inspiration from? Is that how you got your inspiration for your current project? If not, where did the inspiration come from?
I get my inspiration from a lot of places. I read a lot of articles about science, and that gives me my inspiration when I'm writing science fiction. This story though came out of another story I was trying to write when I realized I'd created this side character that I really wanted to be my protagonist
What work of yours are you most proud of? Why?
My one short story that's been published by an online mag. Obviously, it's partly because I can point to it and say it's published. But also because I was given a very short format to work with, and I feel like I managed to pack in a lot of story and emotion in those two pages.
Have you published anything? Do you want to?
I've had one short story, "The Enclosed Check Should Cover The Damages," published online. I've also tried to get a few books published here and there, but after years of rejection, I've decided to try self-publishing.
What part of the publishing process most appeals to you? What part least appeals to you?
The amount of time traditional publishing takes is looking less and less appealing to me. I want to speed things up by self-publishing, even though it means doing my own marketing. But I've worked on literary journals and for newspapers before, so I think I can handle it. Also, I'm excited about doing my own formatting. It's something I've really enjoyed in the past.
What part of the writing process most appeals to you? What part is least appealing?
I love rewriting. I can rewrite all day. Drafting, on the other hand, is both fun and challenging. It's fun when you get into the flow, but challenging when you're staring at a cursor that's mocking you.
Do you have a writing process? Do you have an ideal setup? Do you write in pure chaos? Talk about your process a bit.
I like quiet when I write. I'm easily distracted, so noisy environments put me off. My favorite place to write is anywhere in my house I can take my laptop and hide away for a few hours. So long as I've got that and a glass of water, I'm in good shape.
Your Thoughts on Writeblr:
How long have you been a writeblr? What inspired you to join the community?
I've been a writeblr since 2014, although I deleted the old one and started fresh just last year. I like having a place to discuss what it's like to be a writer, and even more importantly, what it's like to be a writer who's trying to publish their own work.
Shout out some of your favorite writeblrs. How did you find them and what made you want to follow them?
I like @thebibliosphere because she's so great about sharing information about self-publishing. @theplottery because she posts stuff that makes me think about my writing. And for just pure fun and tag games, I've done a lot of interacting with @Nanashi23, @ezestreet, and @toribookworm22.
What is your favorite part about writeblr?
Seeing posts that make me think
What do you think writeblr could improve on? How do you think we can go about doing so?
I'm not sure if this is a writeblr thing, or a Tumblr thing, but I often see people who just post blindly trying to find more like-minded writeblrs to follow. This tells me we need better ways for finding each other.
How do you contribute to the writeblr community? Do you think you could be doing more?
I'm mostly just reblogging anything I think more people should see and playing tag games. I'm also trying to curate my own tag list, so if anyone wanted to find a particular writing tip, or piece of self-publishing info, I've collected, they can. I'd like to make my blog a hub of useful information. But like I said, it's fairly new right now, so that might take some time before I get it exactly the way I want it to be.
What kinds of posts do you most like to interact with?
I like tag games, but I'm really drawn to discussions of culture, history, and language. I think that's because I've been so many places, and when I see someone who's uncertain about something, I like to jump in and help.
What kind of posts do you most like to make?
I like both posting about my writing and telling stories about my past.
Finally, anywhere else online we may be able to find you?
Nothing current, although I've started blogs other places over the last twenty-five years or so. I need to create a proper web site, but right now, I'm just focusing on getting this last draft done.
Questions For Fun:
Where has been your favorite place to live in and why? Have you ever based any place in your works off of it?
I would say my favorite place to live has been Germany. The people are very nice, the country is beautiful, and it’s a great jumping off place for seeing the rest of Europe. Especially if you go by train. I have not used it in any of my work as of yet. I will probably do so in the future.
What is your favorite sci-fi trope? If you can't pick, how about a favorite scientific development?
I’m sort of fascinated with advances in medical technology. I have some minor issues I was born with, so the idea of being able to use tech to modify yourself has always been I interesting to me.
What is the most valuable lesson you learned in the process of getting your MFA? Why?
I think the most important lesson I learned is to not be so defensive about my writing. We did a lot of workshopping, and some people were better about it than others. I quickly realized I didn’t want to be one of the jerks. I also learned how to pick and choose which critiques I should listen to and which ones I should ignore.

Leigh, I'm so sorry to burden you with this, but I've followed you for a few years and witnessed how supportive you've been with SuperCorp fans and the shared disappointment with how the show ended, so I feel safe writing to you.
All the WLW shows getting cancelled fucking sucks. And it hurts. Not because I've necessarily been a big fan of them all, but simply because my voice and story, as a consumer and queer woman, doesn't feel valued.
When I heard Netflix cancelled Warrior Nun, I got angry, and I've been so ever since. It somehow hit different this time, and the cancellation doesn't make sense to me. I've loved the show since its first day on Netflix in 2020. I fell in love with the characters and the actors who portrayed them. I fell in love with the story they were telling and how it was told. Something about Warrior Nun just felt different to me.
Now it's almost 7 in the morning where I live, and I haven't been able to sleep. I was reading a Warrior Nun fic - as one does - and then all the feelings suddenly hit me. Angry turned into sad, and I feel sort of silly for admitting this, but I actually cried. I read somewhere that the brain can't differentiate real people from fictional ones, and I think I'm kind of mourning the loss of the characters 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've never felt this way before and I honestly don't know what to do about it. The whole situation just sucks.
Do you have any advice on how the consumers can be heard by big companies like Netflix and how we can get them to actually value their WLW shows?
Again, I'm sorry to lay this on you, but I don't really have anyone to talk to about this, and I'm just sick and tired of the situation and needed to rant.
(I appreciate you and wish you and your loved ones a happy new year)
It's not a burden at all, I'm glad you feel this is a safe space. 💜
Everything you're saying is relatable and valid as heck. When a show means the world to you, especially if you're part of a marginalized group and taking hit after hit after hit no less... it can be exhausting, infuriating, demoralizing, and so many other complicated emotions when you lose that art that struck you so deeply, that you related to, and that you looked forward to more of to get you through life.
To be honest, I feel like for the most part, fans are doing as best they can as far as efforts to keep shows around. There really are no more tangible specific solutions for fans aside from what's being done, and that's what's frustrating. The endless rewatches, fans doing street team style spreading the word on their own (even spending a lot of money) to make up for lack of official marketing, getting influencers and press behind them, etc. It's actually a sad state of affairs that in recent years, LGBTQ fans have WORK, and FIGHT and PUSH and even PAY constantly to keep a wlw show on the air or to try to get someone to make a ship canon after queerbaiting, or to get more screen time or respectful exploration for a wlw pairing, or to make TPTB see how bad the bury your gays trope is (time and again and again), etc -- rather than just sit back and watch and enjoy.
Fans shouldn't have to work so hard for entertainment, and yet queer fans so often do. And even when people successfully give a show solid numbers, sometimes it's still not enough, and like WN, a well-reviewed, heavily watched series gets the axe anyway.
So it's not on the fans. It's on those at the top, at the end of the day.
Alas, if I had to make some kind of a suggestion... all I can think to say is on the macro, bigger picture level. And this will take some self reflection and increased empathy for some people (sadly a thing some may not be capable of). But... collectively, some people in fandom spaces (small portions, but loud ones) for wlw shows have got to try to stop the silly fanon vs canon wars, and gatekeeping, and jealousies, and creating unnecessary drama and toxicity. There really should be no rival fandoms in wlw spaces at all, unless a show has a fully wlw love triangle or something and people are Team Ship 1 vs Team Ship 2, lol, but even still -- it should be a 'fun' battle, not a toxic war that hurts real people, drives away viewership, etc.
If most people in queer fandoms stuck together, and respected each other's ships even if they don't ship it or watch the show, and generally were supportive of each other as fellow queer fans in their battles against cancellations, in demanding queerbait to be made canon, fighting the BYG trope, etc -- LGBTQ fandoms would have such a collective, expanded power behind these positive efforts. And either way, even if all efforts fail to save a show, etc, at the very least, it would help create a safer, healthier space for queer fans online.
And I know, asking toxic people to not be toxic seems futile, but some people simply need to be reminded that we're all in this together and working together is always going to be ideal when facing off against the real opposition: corporate bias / phobia in the media / industry space.
Ultimately, it's 100% on TPTB at the shows and networks/streamers/studios to do better -- at times creatively, and other times as far as marketing efforts. Sometimes both.
But in the meantime, as far as fandom spaces, some LGBTQ fans gotta try to learn to stick together as much as possible. While there will ALWAYS be toxicity in every fandom from all backgrounds, and fans cannot control each other, I am noticing that as time goes on, and as more wlw fandoms get hurt by networks and streamers, the more angry people are understandably getting, the more reactive and protective of their shows and ships people are getting, and the more then they lash out and try to gatekeep and attack their fellow queer fans and allies, which is... just not it. It's counter productive.
Point is... fans are doing all they can IMO as far as tangible efforts to save (or fix) certain shows. And the rest is on the creatives, the networks and streamers, etc. But in the meantime, at the very least, people shouldn't attack true allies who have proven their support, nor especially attack fellow queer fans who just want to see what a show or ship is about or make positive parallels to their other faves, etc as it could be extra viewers for the show that they're running off.
TLDR: Stay focused on the real problem: corporate media's bias / phobia. Fight them collectively, not each other.

Dangerous Romance Ep 6
Last week, everyone went to an open house at university, June showed up and I loved her instantly and so did Pim you're not fooling me lady, and Kang remembered that he's supposed to have a crush on a girl after he started feeling a little too fluttery around Sailom. Fortunately there's a girl he already knows who fits the checklist of things that he should be looking for, so he decided to ditch Sailom at every opportunity to try to get something started with her. Less fortunately he learned that apparently they have the same taste in boys when she reveals that she has a crush on Sailom, too (I say apparently because I don't buy it for a second. You can't fool me, show).
This ep we're gonna get some jealousy and I hope it's fun. Since I have decided to just go ahead and embrace whatever this show wants to give me all I am hoping for now is jealous!Kang shenanigans and the return of the escorting plot. Because mess and angst is my bag, I can never get enough.
LOL she's basically describing Kang here. Like word for word, that's hilarious. Although I do think Kang already felt some kind of way about Sailom from the beginning. Homoerotic bullying and all.
But now he's gonna be a butt. I am kind of living for this. He's such a brat.
"Come on, Kang, he is a person. He's not something you can toss around.' THANK YOU. What is it with all these spoiled rich boys and their treating people like objects?
Honestly though Kang has good taste. Both of his crushes are awesome.
Aw Sailom. Trying to be a nice guy while Kang is all up in his feelings. I don't even like love triangles but I just can't take this one seriously enough to be bothered.
Oh man Napdao is such a mess. I already love her to pieces because June but oof, I can tell her student teaching career is gonna give me all the secondhand embarrassment.
Lol the music. So dramatic.
Well that was quick. And here I thought Kang would stew in his own feelings more. Silly me, Kang doesn't stew. He makes his feelings everyone else's problem. I know this.
Actually I do find that a little refreshing? More forthrightness (even if he is a little punk about it) and less stewing in your own juices and then randomly lashing out ftw! Let's cut out the misunderstanding and lash out while letting everyone know exactly why you're doing the thing!
Hahaha okay bonding over sports. Of course.
Still not taking this love triangle seriously. I'd say sorry but I'm really not.
Oh wow she really is upset. Huh.
Digging the montage of triple upset. Everyone here is ridiculous.
Uh oh we have boys in the rain. One of them is gonna get sick.
We could do this without the extended flashback guys. Please trust that Perth and Chimon can do the work required here - we don't have to see all the moments that prove that Sailom likes Kang. We know. You have two excellent actors here you don't need to spoonfeed us like this. Trust them, please.
And okay, did not expect a Sailom confession this episode. Alriighty then we're just gonna do this thing then.
Is it weird that I'm kind of digging it?
I have to say, I have mad respect for anyone who confesses in these shows. Because i have never in my life been able to do that. I admire the courage it takes to put yourself out there.
Right. I think that Saifah is gonna screw some shit up here, but I laughed out loud when he called Sailom out for eating in the dark like a creep.
Called it. BL boy in the rain means sickness is immanent.
Kang cracks me up. So in love with Pim and so protective of her feelings right up until his actual crush confesses, and then it's "Pim who?"
Ah yes, the wet towel. Also known as the only thing that can cure a BL fever.
I make fun, but I do love the trope. Also the awkward way he's doing it is hilarious to me. Prime "I have never taken care of another person in my entire life and have no idea what I'm doing." But at least he's trying. I kind of love it. Call me a sap but I am such a sucker for this kind of thing. Doubly so when it's coming from a character who clearly has no clue but doesn't let that stop them.
Tumblr media
Aw, I really do love the friendship between Sailom, Auto, and Guy. I hope we see more of it. I kind of love Guy spoonfeeding Sailom even though he has two perfectly good hands.
"Do you like me?" Is that not what he's saying (it's totally what he's saying)? Brave.
Too bad Kang isn't.
And more flashbacks because they apparently don't trust their excellent actors to get across how everyone's feeling in this moment. Sigh. Seriously why cast these two if you're gonna do this? Plus we really could put more here. All the flashbacks feel like filler.
LOL FOREVER at the mood rain.
Pim really is the cutest.
Pfft okay that water thing was super petty but also hilarious.
Kang is such a ball hog.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH AGAIN. Do you think we're dumb? We do not need constant flashbacks explaining yet agian that Sailom is Kang's wind. We can understand this ourselves I promise.
And finally he passes the ball. Finally. And ha, it's pretty true to life that people only notice the goal.
Ah, so all the cute Guy and Sailom moments were jealousy fuel. Oh why do I keep finding this show so funny.
KIss!
And a flashback because heaven forbid we miss a chance for one of those.
I wonder how many we'll have next week.
