Has anybody heard of the “75 day hard” challenge?
Maybe even the “75 day soft” challenge?
Welcome to Nancy’s “75 (+2 cheat) days super soft for the chronically ill or disabled” challenge
I mean, let’s be honest y’all. Where I am now - both physically and with my arthritis + fibro - I have ZERO chance of completing the soft version much less the hard version. So I created my version, the super soft version. If y’all like it, try it. If it doesn’t fit your needs, modify it. The whole point of the challenge is to challenge yourself physically, and mentally, for the better of your health. My “rules” are below.
Sliding scale of workouts. Yes ma’am. You heard it here. We are not throwing ourselves into the deep end to get hurt. There is a sliding scale of workouts. If you feel it is too easy, jump to the next scale, bump it up a notch. Listen to your body! Also the goal is to try to make it an outside workout, weather permitting (winter is coming up).
Eating better (not just well, but better than we are now). Adjust if needed but here’s my basics. Less than 200 calories of “sweets” per day allowed (candy, snack cakes, etc). If using bread, gotta use that 35 calorie bread (or whole wheat, no white bread). Portion control !!! Low carb option as available, low calorie option as available (my family will eat out frequently - I need options to eat - besides the goal is to eat better, not adhere to a strict diet). Calorie counting possibly if that’s something feasible for you? I home cook a lot as well and it’s insanely hard to count calories on one portion of a home cooked meal.
Only 2 cheat days - Thanksgiving and Christmas. These are very special holidays to my family, I do not want to ever live a life of restricting food on these two holidays (+Easter). - this would also put the ending day as Jan. 1st if I start tomorrow. So not bad timing either…
Weekly progress picture along with my weekly weigh in. I am not a good progress picture person. They are extremely triggering for me. I also cannot do daily weigh ins. I already do a weekly weigh in on Sunday’s. I’ll take a progress picture and store it away (out of sight out of mind) until the end.
10 pages of a book. I’m not particular on what genre or whatever. I have a few “in progress” books I’d love to finish up.
Sliding scale of water intake amount. I am TERRIBLE at drinking water. Even bought the Cirkul cup craze - my kids use my bottle more than I do. I’m gonna start small and end at a gallon a day for that last week. My ounce increments is based on my 22 oz bottle primarily, as I plan to use my Cirkul cup (finally).
Exercise Sliding Scale:
Weeks 1-2: 15mins daily
Weeks 3-4: 15 mins twice daily
Weeks 5-6: 30 minutes daily
Weeks 7-8: 30 minutes twice daily
Weeks 9-10: 45 minutes daily
Week 11: 45 minutes twice daily

Week 1: 10oz
Week 2: 22oz
Week 3: 32oz (1/4 gal)
Week 4: 44oz
Week 5: 55oz
Week 6: 64oz (1/2 gal)
Week 7: 75oz
Week 8: 96oz (3/4 gal)
Week 9: 107oz
Week 10: 118oz
Week 11: 128oz (1 gal)

Thinking about the library scene and how that one shot of Nancy looking at Robin like she’s in love (not the cute and annoyed “you never know” look, the one after that where she looks a little lost and can’t look away from Robin, you know the one) and thinking about how that moment isn’t actually Robin saying something sweet or affirming or caring toward Nancy, it’s her contradicting her.
Nancy says that’s super convenient for Victor and Robin says ‘or super inconvenient’ and for the first time maybe ever in Nancy’s life, someone is arguing with her not to shoot her down, but to push her theory forward. And the fact that that is what has Nancy going all disbelieving heart eyes toward Robin—the idea that she finds someone who actually does believe her shot in the dark but isn’t just going to tag along passively and it has her immediately smitten—is 1) lowkey kinda hilarious, like c’mon Nance and 2) really just phenomenally sweet? And honestly what a strong central core for their budding relationship. What an excellent first example of the way they will continue to both challenge and support each other throughout the season.
And I think this is one of my favorite things about ronance: it really feels like Nancy finally meets her match. Other characters have been willing to keep up with her but it almost always comes from their own motivations (which is fine) or a sense of trying to placate her (which is less fine). Hell, Jonathan spends most of s3 not believing her but tagging along anyway, placating her and her wild theories, and that’s why they have such a huge fight when shit hits the fan. He was supporting her because she’s his girlfriend, not because he actually supported her.
And then comes s4, and Robin owes Nancy nothing when she goes to the library with her. She goes because she genuinely believes Nancy will have a brilliant idea that will save the day. And then she stays because, despite the fact that things aren’t going well, they still might be on to something. And as soon as there’s even a possibility that they might be right, Robin is the one arguing with Nancy that this might be the information they need
And so Nancy stares at her like she’s seeing her for the first time, because when was the last time someone argued with her in a way that wasn’t painfully personal? When was the last time someone challenged her without belittling her? When was the last time someone believed in her so freely and wholeheartedly that they took her ideas and ran with them before Nancy even had a chance to prove herself? Hell, I’d be immediately smitten, too

75 DAYS HARD CHALLENGE: DAY I
Previously I announced that I will begin the 75 Days Hard Challenge at the first of July. For anyone unfamiliar, the Challenge takes 75 Days and follows these daily rules:
Choose a diet and follow it (without cheat meals or alcohol)
Complete two 45-minute workouts daily (one needs to be outside no matter the weather)
Drink a gallon of water every day
Read 10 pages of nonfiction
Take progress pictures
If you skip or miss a task you must start over
Things you should know:
I decided to try this challenge because I want to improve my mental toughness and physical fitness (also I want to prove to myself that I am consistent). It's probably not for everyone, so there is also a soft version of this challenge called 75 Days Soft Challenge.
I prepared for this challenge a month in advance. I tried out what diet suits me the most without craving cheat meals, decided on what books I want to read and what kind of workouts are the best for me.
I don't want to bother you with a daily follow up of my challenge, but please consider I'll try to do an update every 1-2 weeks.

My current routine on this challenge varies from day to day because I do work shifts but there are a few things that stay consistent during this challenge:
Diet:
I decided to do IF with a 16:8 ratio. I start eating at 10am and have my last meal at 6pm. Mostly low carb, high protein. No meat, no sugar, limited dairy. Please consider that every human is different and what may work for me, won't do it for you. I decided to become vegetarian a month ago and I don't regret it yet.
2. Workouts:
I am not an athlete. Therefore two heavy workouts a day would cause me injuries. I'm taking a 45 minutes outdoor walk everyday and the second workout is whatever suits my day the most. For example on Mondays I'm going to a yoga class, therefore this will be my second workout.
3. Hydration:
To be honest, I had to change this one a bit. I'm drinking one black coffee every morning and I'm also having a tea before I go to sleep. This intake plus a gallon of water would be too much for my body. I decided to drink 3 Liters of water everyday and the missing 0,7 liters will be tea and black coffee. I'm not drinking anything else for the duration of this challenge. No soft drinks, no alcohol, no milk (except for coconut milk for my overnight oats).

Two Week Maslow’s Pyramid Challenge

You might have come across Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It basically talks about all the needs a person generally has in the life and as they scale up.
It starts with physiological needs (food, water, clothing, shelter) at the bottom. Next is safety, followed by social needs (friends, family), then esteem needs (reputation, competence, achievement), and the last one being self actualisation (self fulfilment, growth, etc).
I’ve thought of using this structure, tweaking it slightly and setting a two week challenge for you.
“Count” in this challenge refers to the number of times you’ll do that activity in those 14 days.
If the count = 14, that means everyday. They’ll be marked in green because you absolutely cannot skip them.
If the count = 3, it means you pick any three days over the course of your challenge.
I’ve attached a bingo because I thought it would be more fun to cross something out and see how far you’re getting along. You’ll see it at the end of the post.
Save the image and tick it off as you complete it- or better yet, print it out so that you get the satisfaction of really crossing it out with a pen!
This is what the CSB take on Maslow looks like:
* Physiological: you will eat two nutritionally dense meals and at least 1.5-2L of water. This could mean adding a salad or juice to your diet; or practicing healthy eating habits; intermittent fasting; whatever works for you. Attempt to not eat any junk or sugary drinks during this challenge. (Count: 14)
* Safety: (here, employment/ personal growth) Read at least two case studies/ research reports/ academic articles in your field/ the field you want to be in. (Count: 2)
* Social needs: reach out to a friend or family member who you have been contemplating of reaching out to/ haven’t spoken to properly in a while and ask how they’re doing. (Count: 2)
* Esteem needs: create a list of 5 affirmations you think are the most relevant to you at THIS moment. Say them out loud, to yourself in the mirror, every single day. (Count: 14)
* Self actualisation: we’ve got a few here, so let me list them down.
1. Meditation / mindfulness yoga session (count: 6)
2. Creativity: a little activity of your choice. It can be colouring books/ solving a puzzle, crossword, anything of your choice. (Count: 1)
3. Beauty: spa day of your choice. I like to go all out with facial and full body waxing, a face mask or even a massage. (Count: 1)

Habits I picked up because of school that I keep up with (on my semester break)
Waking up early- I find that, with few exceptions, I wake up before 8:30am every day.
Study groups- okay I’m stretching the definition here, but I have productivity days at coffee shops with my friends, where I work on job applications, blog posts (hehe I’m writing this one from the coffee shop), or work on hobbies (mostly crochet and embroidery).

Notion schedules-I used to keep weekly and daily schedules on notion to track schoolwork, but I now use them to track my work schedule and hangout dates with my friends
Always keeping lists/notebooks around- I am rarely without a notebook in arms reach. I have a notebook in my bag and by my bedside. I keep sticky notes in my apron at work so I can write things down and add them to my notebooks. I used them as a type of bullet journal but with none of the structure.

I still study- I just now have full control on what I study. For example, I plan on teaching myself the Dewey decimal system soon. (And picking up some asl)
Digital art- what started as doodling in the margins of my digital notebooks has become a full-blown hobby of mine.
Visiting the library- honestly, I just find the library to be a very comforting place.

Writing book reviews- while my book reviews for my blog posts are far less structured and formal, they only exist because I got used to writing them for school.
Reading nonfiction- I found through online classes that I enjoy reading textbooks and nonfiction work.

Listening to audio books- I started listening to audio books back when was both full time student and working full time because I had no time to sit down with a book. Now its my preferred way to read.
Picking up hobbies- I am always looking for my next hobby to pick up. Last year I picked up painting and crafting. I also tried out wax seals and gardening (shout out to the two plants I haven’t killed yet).

Day 1/75
Workout 💪🏻 : we went to the pumpkin patch today and spent like 2.5 hours outside. A ton of walking, a ton of running and playing. Even played outside with the kiddos for a bit. Based on when I had my phone on me, it was definitely more exercise than normal. Pictures below!
Eating better 🍴: we did eat fast food today. My husband totally catered to my new diet too! He got me zero sugar coke & Pepsi (because he was unsure which I would want). He even changed where we were going to eat because of the calorie count (sonics calorie count is insane, with no healthy options - I guess they’re off limits now). I ended up getting a meal 620 calories for brunch. 620 calories for dinner as well. Snacks were like two bites of a snack cake, maybe 2 cups of kettle corn (3 cups is 170 calories), a teaspoon of caramel (I was craving something awful), and like 3 sips of regular soda. I did really well with not drinking a ton of calories - which was surprising. Though I will admit my willpower wasn’t as great - my husband helped a ton. He kind of reminded me that 3 cups is a lot for like half as many calories as my original snack craving (lately has been an apple with a tbs of caramel and a tbs of peanut butter). He was admittedly a really great help today for my first real day.
Weekly progress pic/weigh in 📸 : picture has been taken and uploaded to Dropbox as to not trigger anything. Weighed in at 285. This is my 3rd (maybe 4th?) week consecutively maintaining this weight.
10 pages of a book 📖: I have been recommended forever ago to read Good Morning Monster. I read the first 2 or 3 sections and haven’t picked it up since. It was nice getting back into it. I can’t wait to read more tomorrow ❤️
Water Intake 💧: blown out the park. Was supposed to do 10 oz and I’ve done a full 22 (full Cirkul bottle).
Overall not a bad day. Here’s to hoping tomorrow goes just as well! ❤️😊🍀

Dazai is always trying to get leftovers from his coworkers because Dazai never prepares his meals in advance. He's not going to waste time in the morning making food when he can count on his coworkers having spare so often.
He especially likes getting leftovers out of Kunikida, because it's a challenge and Kunikida's cooking is by far the best out of the whole office. If Dazai asks Atsushi for leftovers, he'll grumble about it and scold him a little, but he'll give them over. However, Kunikida puts up a fight, every moment spent trying to heist the food away from him only makes the prize all the sweeter.
Kunikida is meticulous about everything, including his meal plans. He knows exactly how much he should be eating and prepares his food accordingly. It really makes no sense why he has left overs so often or why they're practically the size of a whole extra meal.
Other than the fact he does it on purpose. Otherwise his partner will go most of the day not eating at all. He'll never admit this, nor the fact the only reason he puts up such a fight when Dazai comes after the food he made specifically for him, is because he knows it keeps Dazai interested. If things are too easy, he'll stop wanting them.
Somethings are better kept secret.

Clone wars headcanons that took me forever to edit
I feel like my last couple of headcanons have been mushy so I’ve decided to write some shit Ahsoka and Anakin do that piss each other off 
Ahsoka bites the skin around her nails all the time and most of the time she won't stop till they’re bleeding 
Anakin’s tried literally everything in the book to get her to stop 
He tried putting spices on her hands forgetting that she likes spicy food, he’s tried painting her nails (like that’ll do anything) but she keeps picking the paint off, now he just uses the force to remove them from her mouth 
That’s gotten a few growls from her but at least it makes her aware she’s doing it but it doesn’t stop her from bitting them a couple of seconds later
Honestly he’s given up and just sits in silence while she complains about the pain
Anakin paces whenever he’s even slightly nervous and she can tell how nervous he is depending on how fast he moves 
If he’s just kinda anxious he moves pretty slow but if he’s like one shirt caught on a door handle away from a panic attack he’s teleporting 
When Padme told him he was gonna be a dad he was ecstatic for about 24 hours but after that some invisible timer went off in his head he booked it to Ahsoka’s house (she lives down the street cause of course she does)
Walked into her room and woke her poor sleepy butt up with all his pacing 
Girl swears to this day he broke the damn sound barrier with how fast he was moving 
She just wordlessly sat up and patted her bed cause she knew she wasn’t gonna get any sleep until he did 
She sat by him and listened as he rattled off all his worries and only really stepped in when the darker thoughts surfaced when it was all said and done she turned to him and said “Now let me kriffing sleep” 
Should he have probably left the room yeah but he got a total of 30 minutes of “sleep” that night so it’s not surprising that he knocked the fuck out of
Padme was a little bit alarmed to wake up without Anakin but was quickly soothed when she read Ahsoka’s message “Your nerf herders with me” 
She knew the pregnancy would dredge up some unhappy feelings and she also knew Anakin can’t think clearly if he doesn’t have Ahsoka to sort through the bullshit in his head 
She just got ready for brunch with her two favorite people and smiled cause she knew Obi-Wan and Rex would join them for dinner with or without an invitation 
When Anakin and Ahsoka were living together they would kick each other out of their own bathrooms 
Why? Well Ahsoka said Anakin’s had better lighting and water pressure and Anakin would do it to spite Ahsoka because he knew it would piss her off  
Slowly but surely their stuff gets moved into each other's bathrooms and it’s a weird amalgamation of crap 
Also when they were living together Anakin would ask Ahsoka if she was hungry before cooking and she’d often say no because she didn’t want to impose but his cooking always looked and smelled good 
So half the time girl would just end up eating some of his food when she thought he wasn’t looking 
At first he was like “Snips you said you weren’t hungry” to which she would respond “Yeah I wasn’t hungry then but I am now” after that he starts making more food on instinct cause damn that girl can eat 
Anakin gets back at her pretty easily tho by taking the first bite of her food whenever they go out to eat his excuse is that he’s “making sure it’s not poisoned” he never does this to Padme cause he respects her too damn much 
And he can’t use that trick on Obi-Wan and Rex cause the former taught him the trick and the latter has a bullshit detecter built-in 
Both Anakin and Ahsoka pull that trick on the twins tho (which gets them a quick scolding from Padme) 
Speaking of the twins it’s not surprising that as they grow up they realize that their auntie isn’t human so of course like any normal child they have questions and Anakin being the little shit that he is spots an opportunity for some laughs 
So he turns to the twins all serious-like and goes “Well my loves we actually found your auntie in a dumpster we have no idea where she came from” the twins are distraught and go to the nearest adult who just so happens to be their uncle Rex 
And Rex also being a little shit backs up Anakin’s story with so much sincerity that even Anakin believed it a little bit 
The twins being the angels they are apologize to their auntie for her terrible origin story with tears in their eyes and her reaction more than made up for the swift ass-kicking the boys got  
When Anakin was taller than Ahsoka he made her life hell by making fun of her every time something was even slightly out of her reach
He would make a big deal about grabbing it for her while commenting about how the temple’s architecture wasn’t made with the “young ones” in mind 
Obi-Wan has turned multiple blind eyes when Ahsoka socked the shit out of his arms when he tells one too many jokes some days
When she finally grows taller than him she makes the biggest deal about it and no one can blame her 
While Anakin is the pilot Ahsoka is easily the navigator she often jokes that Anakin wouldn’t find his way out of bed without help 
Which is funny cause he often acts like a herding dog with her putting his hand on her back or holding her arm to guide her 
But he’s wrong 9/10 times so it’s not uncommon to see Anakin guiding her in one direction and then see him get dragged in the opposite direction a couple of minutes later
