Starting the 75 soft🍯✨
Tumblr media
Week 1/10.5 (.5 is the 5days)
Cw:319.6 (gw:300)
Motivation ✨
My confidence. I want to be comfortable again in clothes and just being able to be free from my disgusting self hatred thoughts. Also I have acute back pain and chronic knee pain. I want to resolve that as well.
My cheat meat will on Sunday or Friday. Most likely will be a cheat snack and not a meal.
My diet 🥗
A low carb diet. Im not doing keto because the body truthfully need carbs. No sweets, soda,or fastfood. Cooking and meal prepping so itll reduce my chance of getting fast-food.
Books
Omg I have plenty of choices but ima start off with Hood Feminism. Maybe my textbook pages count? 🤣

Today's Workout: Chilly!
It’s interesting that they’re doing the personality in a computer thing again but I don’t mind it. I love this app too much to complain about any kind of repeated tropes when we’re 10 season’s in at this point. I’m honestly glad just to be using it again because it felt good to keep moving. As for my food, all I had was a salad today. And I struggled to finish it. Looks like using the anti-gas…

Has anybody heard of the “75 day hard” challenge?
Maybe even the “75 day soft” challenge?
Welcome to Nancy’s “75 (+2 cheat) days super soft for the chronically ill or disabled” challenge
I mean, let’s be honest y’all. Where I am now - both physically and with my arthritis + fibro - I have ZERO chance of completing the soft version much less the hard version. So I created my version, the super soft version. If y’all like it, try it. If it doesn’t fit your needs, modify it. The whole point of the challenge is to challenge yourself physically, and mentally, for the better of your health. My “rules” are below.
Sliding scale of workouts. Yes ma’am. You heard it here. We are not throwing ourselves into the deep end to get hurt. There is a sliding scale of workouts. If you feel it is too easy, jump to the next scale, bump it up a notch. Listen to your body! Also the goal is to try to make it an outside workout, weather permitting (winter is coming up).
Eating better (not just well, but better than we are now). Adjust if needed but here’s my basics. Less than 200 calories of “sweets” per day allowed (candy, snack cakes, etc). If using bread, gotta use that 35 calorie bread (or whole wheat, no white bread). Portion control !!! Low carb option as available, low calorie option as available (my family will eat out frequently - I need options to eat - besides the goal is to eat better, not adhere to a strict diet). Calorie counting possibly if that’s something feasible for you? I home cook a lot as well and it’s insanely hard to count calories on one portion of a home cooked meal.
Only 2 cheat days - Thanksgiving and Christmas. These are very special holidays to my family, I do not want to ever live a life of restricting food on these two holidays (+Easter). - this would also put the ending day as Jan. 1st if I start tomorrow. So not bad timing either…
Weekly progress picture along with my weekly weigh in. I am not a good progress picture person. They are extremely triggering for me. I also cannot do daily weigh ins. I already do a weekly weigh in on Sunday’s. I’ll take a progress picture and store it away (out of sight out of mind) until the end.
10 pages of a book. I’m not particular on what genre or whatever. I have a few “in progress” books I’d love to finish up.
Sliding scale of water intake amount. I am TERRIBLE at drinking water. Even bought the Cirkul cup craze - my kids use my bottle more than I do. I’m gonna start small and end at a gallon a day for that last week. My ounce increments is based on my 22 oz bottle primarily, as I plan to use my Cirkul cup (finally).
Exercise Sliding Scale:
Weeks 1-2: 15mins daily
Weeks 3-4: 15 mins twice daily
Weeks 5-6: 30 minutes daily
Weeks 7-8: 30 minutes twice daily
Weeks 9-10: 45 minutes daily
Week 11: 45 minutes twice daily
Water Intake Sliding Scale:
Week 1: 10oz
Week 2: 22oz
Week 3: 32oz (1/4 gal)
Week 4: 44oz
Week 5: 55oz
Week 6: 64oz (1/2 gal)
Week 7: 75oz
Week 8: 96oz (3/4 gal)
Week 9: 107oz
Week 10: 118oz
Week 11: 128oz (1 gal)
I will update daily with how it went. Wish me luck y’all 🤞🏻🍀

Jumping on the #fitember Challenge hosted by @btchthatfightsbears First a quick reintroduction for anyone new to my blog. I go by m0tiv8me and have been a fitblr on Tumblr since January 2014…does that make me an OG?? Anyway that’s when I officially started getting serious about working out and eating better consistently and improving my mental and physical health. I thought I had it all figured out until about mid 2017.
That’s when my demons came in force for me and a lot of really tough hardships fell upon my family that I struggled to process and deal with. It threw me off my routine and eating habits and I backslid and battled heavy depression. I tried to restart my journey in 2018 but big challenges in my work life kept me in a mentally challenging place. I changed careers in 2019 and my mental outlook started to improve drastically. However my new job required a lot more travel than I was used to. I was accustomed to only working out at home and I found the long hours and constant travel really hard to try to do any type consistent workouts.
Enter 2020, we all know how that year went. Forced to be at home actually helped me get back into a bit of a rhythm with my workouts and I felt like I was once again starting to find consistency but the mental roller coaster that was the whole year left me feeling mentally drained and often defeated and hopeless.
By 2021 I started to lose interest in working out all together but still tried. A neck and back injury in the early spring put me out of commission for several months and by the time I was all recovered I had lost all drive to do anything. I spent the remainder of 2021 and first half of 2022 really working on my mental health, focusing on being grateful and thankful and working hard to calm my anxieties, fears and frustrations. I started lifting again in August and have been sticking with it and feeling good. After a month just trying to workout each day has begun to feel like too vague of a goal so I decided to join a challenge and set a small healthy habit goal for September.
My mini healthy habit goal for September (fitember)
A minimum of 100 push-ups and 5 minutes of planking each day. This will be in addition to any other type of workout I may do. If I feel like doing more I will but the goal is no less. I kicked off today by doing them first thing this morning. Day 1 = mission accomplished!
My unhealthy habit dump for the month will be sweets. I’ve fallen back into grabbing a cookie or some ice cream or other sweet treat for a snack and they just make me feel deflated and lacking energy so I’m kicking them to the curb for the month. When I do crave something sweet I’m going to drink some water instead.
So there you have it, you’re all caught up now will you join me in the #fitember challenge and pickup a new healthy habit and dump a bad one for the month?? @btchthatfightsbears has the all deets on her blog go check it out and let’s make September ROCK!!

Today I went to Aritzia and tried on a fitted white dress. I took both the L size (my usual size) and an M sized dress. My mom told me to try first the L because it was probably the safest bet (mind you, she's lost weight and is now a size M and wants everyone to know). Well... Size L was big on me!!
However, it was a bit see-through and I'm still not comfortable with bodycon dresses.
But guys!!! I CAN FIT INTO A SIZE M!!!
Weight wise, I'm still overweight, but I think my body composition changed and it's more toned. So maybe I'm losing fat but gaining muscle?
