Curiously I've noticed that myself and others like to dress particularly in colours (compared to others and if we aren't wearing the basic black or white simple stuff of course) related to the chakra/health concerns that we are dealing with at the time.
I've seen some be an outright strength of a person, for example, someone who wears blue almost all the time is great at communicating clearly, they will let you know exactly what they think. Yet if they become unwell, first thing to happen is a sore throat.
See if you can relate to the colour preference:
Red: root chakra, relates to blood circulation, immune system, anger, physical strength, ego.
Orange: sacral chakra, reproductive organs, emotions and creativity. Stress or addictions.
Yellow: solar plexus, stomach, digestion, pancreas,confidence concerns, learning.
Green: heart chakra, health related to heart and lungs. Balance, concerns of level of generosity or openness.
Blue: throat chakra, the throat or thyroid, neck/shoulders, communication, ability to be true to self. Expression of ability.
Indigo: third eye, headaches, migraines, mood fluctuation, sensitivity emotion wise or to outside stimuli.
Shades of purple: crown chakra, pineal gland, nervous system, art and creativity, anxiety, decision making, spirituality focus.

For a bit of context, in May, I attended a beautiful retreat in Greek mountains called Chakras and the retreat was focused on wellbeing, connecting with nature, with emotions, our bodies, and with each other. One thing led to another and now I am, thanks to this experience, involved in a process of app development.
This app will be called Hope and:
it will be completely free + ad-free;
it is aimed to support its users' wellbeing in meaningful and practical ways;
it will mainly be targeted at people under 30.

What Are Chakras?
In Sanskrit, the word “Chakra” translates to “Wheel” or “Disk” and is considered to be a point of energy within the human body. Although there are many smaller chakras, there are seven main ones which have the power to greatly influence your life and health. These seven main chakras each play a different role in balancing your health and can influence the way you feel. This is one of the reasons why it is important to become aware and take care of these energies.
Chakras run along the spine, each taking up a different spot along the human body. Beginning at the base of the spine, the chakras continue upwards to the crown of the head. Each chakra plays a different role in how a person feels both physically and emotionally.

Let’s talk about: Solar Plexus Chakra!
Your own sunshine center, the solar plexus (which is an anatomical body part as well), is located at the top of your stomach and moves circularly. It is the third chakra and rules areas such as self esteem, confidence, social life, happiness and joy! It is represented by the color yellow!
The chakras act like Maslow’s hierarchy. Just an observation!
How did my Solar Plexus get blocked?
The solar plexus can become blocked for a multitude of reasons, such as unresolved trauma (impacts confidence & self esteem) mental health issues (impacts happiness). The solar plexus is right above the sacral chakra which powers creativity, birthing of ideas, and sex drive and below the heart chakra. If you don’t release or you repress your natural creativity or sexuality, it can lead to blockages in the Solar Plexus chakra which is why you may feel low self esteem, or less joyful. Humans are meant to create and when this is blocked it can lead to profound sadness and disconnection from the self.
How can I tell if the Solar Plexus is blocked?
Usually you will know you have a blocked solar plexus if you struggle with your self esteem and confidence. You may also notice a blockage if you lack confidence in your creative pursuits or creations and you feel grief over how you feel about yourself. It shows an issue in energy flow between the sacral and heart chakras.
This imbalance can manifest as anxiety (feeling stress in your stomach), digestive issues (can also be a sign of anxiety), disordered eating, stomach bugs or food poisoning, stomach pain, bloating, cramping, food allergies and sudden intolerances, or stomach ulcers.
Disclaimer: You should seek medical advice if you’re struggling with any of the above issues. Because while I believe energy blockages are the root cause for the disease, just healing the energy blockage doesn’t always heal the physical damage caused by years of imbalanced energy. I’m not a medical doctor so I really suggest you take advantage of incarnating in modern times where access to healthcare is the best it’s been in human history! No need to suffer while you work on healing your energy. Medicine can only help you rebalance.
How to heal my Solar Plexus?
- rub the top of your stomach circularly, as if you were soothing yourself and while doing this, say nice things to yourself, tell your body thank you and how much you love it for all it does for you everyday.
- get out in the sun! Give your sunshine center some sunshine!
- wear yellow! Eat yellow foods and find more ways to integrate yellow into your life.
- meditate while listening to solar plexus healing music or even self confidence subliminals while your sleep.
- positive affirmations! Use positive affirmations to retrain your brain to think kindly. It also helps empower the voice that says fuck off when that internal critic shows up and says shit like, why would anyone care about what you created? And this new voice says because my perspective is unique and valuable. Feed that voice and starve the other.
- do things you enjoy more! If you’re like me and don’t know what you enjoy. Start exploring new things and saying yes to yourself. Want to learn how to make pasta? Do it!
- trust your gut! Yeah intuition is felt here, so heal your intuition, by trusting yourself.
- self care! Do things to make yourself feel good. Paint your nails or take a nice long bath, go for a walk, ways that make you feel loved by yourself.

golden milk for a golden day. 
it has been a gloomy morning today in SWFL. not to mention the temperature has decreased by some 10-25 degrees the past couple of evenings. personally, i favor the warmer weather and humidity. for a lot of us, the colder weather and gloomy skies can take a toll in our confidence in ourselves and for the rest of the day. many of us will take one inconvenience and claim that the rest of the day will go just about the same. we set ourselves up for failure before we’ve given the rest of the day a chance to play out. 
this morning i am sipping on my own golden milk latte recipe that helps warm up the fire in my solar plexus : 
turmeric powder 
cinnamon sticks 
ginger 
clove 
fennel greek 
rosemary 
spruce pine needles 
elderberries 
ginseng root 
astragalus root 
licorice root 
matcha leaves 
marjoram leaves 
after steeped, i added a teaspoon of honey and topped it off with almond milk. 
from a recent perspective healing, i am beginning to see these inconvenient circumstances as opportunities for fluidity, letting go of control, and having gratitude for the experience. now at first that seems like a lot of hullabaloo, but it was not as easy as words can put it. before healing my inner chakra points i let the feelings trapped in those energy centers control my day, how i felt about it, and i let these challenging feelings debilitate me before i could move on from the feeling. some things that can get trapped in these centers are childhood trauma, trauma in self-worth and self-esteem, intrusive thoughts, sensual and sexual trauma, experience with abuse, people pleasing, and a lack in self-expression. when these shadows come up, i like to do things that match the energy on the other side of the spectrum. i’ll dedicate affirming songs to myself and sing them in a mirror, i’ll hold myself a little tighter to show myself that i’m supported, i’ll do breath work techniques and connect with the physical sensations of my body, and most importantly i move! shake, shimmy, jump, kick, stretch, and roll. 
one small habit i have with a lot of intention behind it is putting turmeric in most of my everyday foods. including teas, smoothies, wellness shots, breakfasts, snacks, soups, rice, and most dinners. not only does it add great flavor but i use it to add a bit more healing into what i add to my own body.

i do what i can to let myself, my mind, and my body know that there is plenty of space for me to be, to feel, and to release what is being held on to. i’ve given myself energy work for almost a year now, and in that time i’ve received a lot of help from others perspectives and healing energy. in that time i’ve been given the space to develop my own practice with what works for me, and it’s still ever-changing. healing becomes more easeful when we practice as well as when we are adding to that ease in the process.
