cheating a bit with the yet to be titled bi buck fic. i posted this through snippets of asks but, honestly, i'm so proud of it i'm showing it off here. in full. enjoy

It’s not that he’s ashamed, it’s just… new. A shiny fresh layer of his identity. While he’s very sure he likes kissing men – and extremely sure he loves kissing Tommy – claiming the bisexual label for himself takes longer. Hen, Karen, Tommy and others all tell him he doesn’t need a label if he doesn’t want one, but this feels right. It makes him feel settled.  Lucy and Ravi suggest that he practice saying it out loud, as a step forward when he’s alone. While the idea sounds easy enough, he finds it’s anything but. Especially the first time.  Buck shifts into park, pulls the parking brake and kills the engine. For a few moments he stares into the middle distance, not really seeing anything. His brain is a swirling, chaotic mess of thoughts as he taps out a shaky rhythm against the center console. Thumb, index, middle, ring, pinkie. Pinkie, ring, middle, index, thumb. Over and over while he tries to tame the way his heart beats wildly in his chest. They’re just words. Consonants and vowels strung together and assigned meaning. And yet they’re so much more than that. They are a means to take a concept and make it real. To say that he, Evan Buckley, reformed player who solely dated women is– His eyes flutter closed as he inhales deeply. He pictures Tommy’s face, smiling warmly at him. Soft and assuring him it’s okay. That there’s no timeline to meet. It allows the noise to quiet and mute to something more manageable. He opens his eyes again and focuses his gaze on the rearview mirror. The way the visor creates a shadow, cutting across his forehead. How his eyelashes fan out, and the way his pupils make constant micro adjustments to the incoming light.  His lips part and his tongue touches the backs of his lower teeth, ready to shape and curl around what he wants to say. No sound comes out. Not even a strangled, anguished, frustrated breath. Buck shakes his head and tries again. He furrows his brows together, determined to make some progress. Maybe he can just think it instead.  I’m–  That’s where his conscious brain stops him. A flashing caution sign, a guardrail to prevent him from going too far. A muzzle crafted by years of conditioning. Frustrated, he slams his hand against the steering wheel before grabbing his work bag and slamming the Jeep closed behind him. Drive after drive, each and every time Buck encountered a mirror, he continued to push himself. Sometimes, even after making progress, his attempts were no less frustrating than the very first one. A patient, or family member, would say something that shook his confidence, making him want to curl in on himself. Not that it was any of their business to know who their emergency responders loved or crawled into bed with at night.

The fact that in that scene in the doctor who special Donna’s about to go off with the doctor in the end and her husband is like yeah most husbands would be jealous of their wife hanging out with men in a small space alone but then he looks at the doctor and is like nah not him. Like he knows the doctor wouldn’t be interested in Donna in that way and that she was completely safe from cheating on her husband. Shaun took one look at the doctor and was like I know what you are . He was NOT worried about Donna being alone with him

So, I did watch the 60th special today, which I originally wasn't planning to do, since I'm not much of a Whovian. But curiosity got the better of me, and once your ask came in, I figured why not give it a watch.

After sitting through the whole episode, I still have no idea what the hell actually happened, or what a Metacrisis is, or why they were all fighting evil anthropomorphized dryer lint...but I was still thoroughly entertained. Haha. And there were moments I liked (disability rep with Shirley Bingham whose character actually wasn't about her disability but just her as a badass person!), moments I didn't like, and moments that made me unexpectedly emotional (the mention of Wilf, which given Bernard's passing last year was incredibly poignant and left me in tears).

But what I was really living for with this episode was how unbelievably and incredibly gay it was, in absolutely the most phenomenal way possible. Again, I want to emphasize that I am a very casual DW viewer, so I can't speak to previous seasons or incarnations, but this certainly felt like the queerest Doctor Who ep I have ever seen. The awesome Yasmin Finney as Rose. Describing the Doctor as "male...and female...and neither...and more." Having legend and lesbian extraordinaire Miriam fucking Margolyes as the voice of the Meep.

And of course, the moment you mentioned...

What's really interesting to me about this is so much of the writing in this episode was pretty on the nose (thinking in particular of the scene about the Meep's pronouns, which was very well meaning but felt a bit heavy-handed in both the writing and some of the delivery). But I wouldn't say Russell T. Daddy was really going for nuance in a lot of what ended up on screen, which is why this moment stands out and is so interesting and hilarious. You can almost feel Russell abruptly stop short of saying what this is clearly meant to be saying, and leaving it as subtext instead of, well...text. And I've mentioned on my blog previously about seeing the Doctor and Donna's (as well as David and Catherine's) chemistry as very "exasperated straight woman and her chaotic bisexual BFF," so this really seemed to validate the hell out of that. Haha.

So yes, overall, I enjoyed "The Star Beast" much more than I ever expected to, and I'm definitely intrigued to see what the other specials will entail (especially "The Giggle," since NPH is in that one, and the queer quotient will no doubt be off the charts, at least if the production stills/BTS I remember seeing last year are any indication). It will certainly be interesting to see if we get more moments like the one above with Fourteen (Ten? Ten-Four?), so I suppose we'll find out soon...

Grief

Steve had always considered himself a straight man. He knew Eddie wasn't straight, the man had been constantly flirting with him over the last week and he wasn't exactly shy about it. He wasn't exactly sure if Eddie was gay or bisexual, but he did know that Eddie wasn't straight. And Steve. Well, amid the Upside Down and trying to keep Max alive and figuring out Vecna and what to do, had been having a sexuality crisis. Because like it or not, he found Eddie attractive.

Eddie had an infenctious energy, and despite everything the man had been through he kept a smile on his face, the one that showcased his cute little dimples, the one that lit up his whole face, that made his beautiful chocolate brown eyes sparkle with amusement and excitement. And Eddie's flirtation had been heavy. And admittedly, Steve couldn't bring himself to put an end to the flirting, and maybe he'd flirted back a little. Eddie was beautiful, Steve couldn't deny it. More often than not, he was finding excuses to talk to Eddie, excuses to touch Eddie, excuse to look at Eddie. Specifically excuses to stare at Eddie's lips.

His entire conversation where Eddie had encouraged him to get Nancy back had barely even been registered because he couldn't stop staring at Eddie's lips. They were soft, pink and full, the kind of lips that looked like they would be heaven to kiss. And thinking back, this wasn't the first time that he'd wanted to kiss a man, though he'd pushed those feelings aside as quick as they came.

Sure, there had been a brief moment when Tommy Hagan was beating the shit out of him, that he'd wanted to kiss him. And maybe back then Steve would've been a bit homophobic. But then he met Robin, and she became his best friend, and he'd grown as a person, he became an ally. There was a brief moment where he'd even wanted to kiss Jonathon Byers, because despite how they'd started out, Byers was a good guy.

Then there was Billy. Billy Hargrove who was wild and untamed and yes. Attractive. And he'd called him King Steve, and he'd be lying if he said that didn't do something to him. And now there was Eddie. Eddie who was also a little wild and chaotic, but not in a bad way. In an adorable way, and Steve never thought he would find himself calling Eddie Munson of all people, adorable. But he was. Adorable, pretty, beautiful. Gorgeous even.

And this is how Steve got to where he was now. He'd mulled over his feelings, his thoughts, and he'd come to the conclusion, that while he wasn't straight, he wasn't gay either. He was in between. Bisexual. Eddie looked just as pretty as ever, his bandana wrapped around his head, his trademark black ripped jeans with a studded belt, an army green puffy vest thrown over his black leather jacket and his Hellfire Club shirt, and the makeshift shield and spear settled on his back.

"Hey, if anything goes south, I mean at all. You abort. Ok? Don't try to be cute or. Be a hero. You guys are just...."

"Decoys, we know. Don't worry Steve. You can be the hero," Dustin says, cutting him off.

"Absolutely, I mean look at us. We are nooooooot hero's," Eddie replied.

"Ok. Good."

Steve couldn't resist a glance at Eddie. Taking him all in, definitely checking him out, before he knew he had to go. So reluctantly he turned around. Before he could take a step, he heard Eddie step forward.

"Hey Steve?"

Steve turned back around, eyes locking on Eddie, who looked nervous, like he wanted to say something but ultimately decided not to and said something else.

"Make him pay."

Steve gave a nod and started walking away. And then his heart started pounding, something told him that he should take his chance now or he would regret it later.

"Steve, what are you doing?" Nancy says when Steve turned around, yet again.

But Steve ignored her, and with enough courage and confidence as he could muster he strode right up to Eddie, grabbed him by his jacket to pull him in. And kissed him. Eddie's lips were exactly what Steve imagined they would be, better even.

He could faintly hear the surprise of Dustin, Nancy and Robin and for a brief moment Eddie was frozen, but then he was kissing him back, his hands finding Steve's own jacket to tug him closer. It wasn't a long kiss, but it was everything Steve needed. He hadn't read it wrong, the flirting had been real, and the kiss had honestly felt like coming home, a sensation that was new to Steve, but very welcome. Steve gently broke the kiss.

"Stay alive ok?"

Eddie gave a nod, his adam's apple bobbing slightly.

"You too."

Finally they let go of each other and Steve left with Nancy and Robin to go to the Creel house.

• sometimes, he'll take a moment during the day, after a fight or a snack or something, just whip out a compact mirror and his lipstick and will do a touch up, just sharpening the lines or fixing the pigment. Sometimes, time constraints mean he has to multitask, and his crew knows firsthand how his voice evens ever so slightly while he's distracted. They will never get sick of it, though, the way that his smiles come a little easier, the way his eyes glint with half a million thoughts, the clear edges to his countenance and yet the softening of the defensive bits as well.

• Crocodile and Mihawk accidentally happen across Distracted Buggy Charm by chance. He's pouring over a map for a trade deal, putting his hair up, and talking out the thought process behind the food budget and arrangements there. They both pause for similar but differing reasons - for Crocodile, it's the actually really well thought out spiel the clown has, and then his smile and glinting eyes when the logia user looks up steals the businessman's breath; for Mihawk, there is a shift in the condensed maelstrom of Buggy's Haki, a shift in the chaotic whirlwind the clown was known for, the movements hiccupping before cohesively shifting into a shared direction with a nearly alarming strength of will. Buggy's microexpressions and movements himself merely arrest the swordsman further, sharp golden eyes committing that scene to memory without hesitation.

• Buggy has a lot of random skills that don't seem immediately important, but he's been just about everywhere and done just about everything. Including things people really, REALLY would not expect of him. He even worked retail for a while, and so he's got HELLA patience when he needs it. It's just... so much energy. On a bright note, he's also really good at organization, and he is the king of color coding - it's both a Buggy Thing and kinda an ADHD thing. He has a VERY specific organization thing, and he's also really aware of his surroundings - this leads to some really sweet, pull-out-all-the-stops shenanigans that gives people butterflies.

• Buggy doesn't do feelings halfway, he's either experiencing emotions through a fishbowl, going through the motions kinda, OR he is absolutely SMOTHERED in them. This includes love. Buggy loves with all he has and so he directs that love to his people. Yes, more than half the crew had some kind of crush on Buggy. Yes, the majority of the escapees are Simps for it. Yes, Buggy doesn't realize this in the slightest. He's just VIBING and sometimes people get all pink around him, not his problem but he WILL swing by the med tents, don't want his precious crew and men to be hurt if there's a cold or smth going around after all.

• Buggy is a cute stimmer. Most people out and about don't register it as such, or find some of them annoying, but his fans and crew and men find it charming as all hell because he stims with his Devil Fruit, clicking joints, or fiddling with his hair, or spinning. His Happiest Stims include happy flaps, spinning on his toes, and smooshing his own face or bouncing. On Extra Great Days, he even squeals, starry eyed and buzzing. It's absolutely adorable, and even the affectionate biting is well received.

• maybe a little more suggestive but he's also. Really flexible. He's got the bisexual afflicition of never sitting properly in a chair, and sometimes he'll have one leg thrown up over the arm, and he's got some seemingly inhuman flexibility that has nothing to do with his Devil Fruit, so sometimes he'll casually be sitting, sit up, lean forward, and it makes people go Oh My Seas Hello Sailor-

Miraculous Headcanons: LGBTQ+ edition

Marinette - chaotically bisexual

Marinette is obviously attracted to Adrien and has been mentioned to like other male characters romantically in the show but is seen in moments being flustered with female characters also (at one point I felt like she was queer coded) but she definitely gives me big bisexual energy.

Alya - straight ally

I cant really see Alya any other way, I think shes attracted to guys for the most part, thats not to say she wouldn’t make for a good bisexual or pansexual character but I see her as heterosexual.

Chloe is a character I really want to touch on more, despite Thomas and the other writers basically saying, “fuck her” I believe she had potential with character development and progressing in the series but like with any side character in this show the writers decided to ship her off to NY with her abusive mother who rarely acknoweledges her existence. The only person we really see Chloe take romantic interest in is Adrien but it’s really stale as the only downright real reason she does like him is because he’s rich and a model not really anything else (like personality, if he even has one anyways...lol) but her interactions with Sabrina are interesting tho, I’d say while it’d be nice to see her as sapphic struggling to come to terms with that part of her identity, (this would make for good character development & personality shifts) both Audrey & Andre are definitely the type of parents to be homphobic.

Sabrina - straight (possibly bi?)

I simply don’t think Sabrina is into girls, with Chloe being an exception but theres difference between friendship and romantic feelings. She puts up with Chloe more than anybody in the show does and doesn’t show interest in any males (doesn’t automatically mean she’s into girls; alike Clawdeen) but she could still be straight and just really likes Chloe (though it’s not healthy because why would u want to put up with anyone like that? not unless she has really low self esteem issues.

Lila - Unlabeled

Lila’s the type of character that there are endless possibilities of who and what she is. I get the sense that she could fake her sexuality one day and be another the next (literally) her character is highly flexible and can fit whatever situation it calls for.

Kagami - Lesbian/Sapphic (comphet issues)

When Kagami was introduced, I liked her character she was characterized with high confidence, sharp wit, intelligence, grace, straight-forwardness, though socially inept she was ready to make friends and meet people. I could not. for the love of Christ see what she saw in Adrien. Hell, same with Chloe or Marinette. he has zero backbone, no passions other than the ones inflicted on him by his dad, and is described as literally “perfect” depsite not being so. For that reason, I could not see Adrien & Kagami as a couple. While i stopped watching the show a long time ago, I enjoyed the Marigami moments indefinitely.

In honour of getting though Witcher season 3 I would like to share with you my thought process while watching this show, not that anyone asked. Can you tell Jaskier is my fav?

Season 1

Me, seeing Jaskier for the first time: a baby! Must protect, already fave.

Me throughout the season: How are you still alive? And how are you not aging?

Me still at season one going through social media: oh, so you don't like Jaskier, huh? Square up bitch cos I'm coming for your ass. Also why the hell is he called Dandelion? Jaskier is a buttercup not a dandelion? Dandelion would be so fucking funny though [image of Sid and last dandelion of season vivid in my mind]

Me still on season one: ok I know we NEED to normalise closeness between two male friends but that's definitely gay, right? Like Jaskier just readies such dumbass bisexual energy and he so clearly is in love with Geralt

Me, during the mountain scene: Bitch, bitch, bitch how dare you [actually insert the Jaskier HOW DARE YOU picture] actually stops watching the show for like a week

Season 2

Me, immediately at the beginning: where's Jaskier? Where's my man? My child? Where's that idiot?

Me, after I see Jaskier: what have they DONE to you? But the songs absolutely slaps (talking about the whore song that was so funny)

The apology scene: Nope, nope, sir that's the most half assed apology I've ever seen

Overall season two: yes, yes serious matters and Jaskier is a comic relief but could you just try to give him some more screen time like bitch he's trying his best, he risks his life, he does some good, he loves Ciri and Geralt just fucking appreciate him! I know it ain't about him but for being Geralts friend for so fucking long I think he deserves some appreciation for his accomplishments from others characters, even a little

Season 3

Sees trailer: "Dear friend.." ahaha that's for Jaskier for sure! [Sees a blur of him] oh thank god he's in here!

Me, after seeing Jaskier: oh, god oh no. Why, why, WHY?! WHO they fuck took the game design?! Put it back I say PUT IT BACK!!!

Me seeing Radowid: *squints as he praises Jaskier, clearly flirts with him and actually appreciates him UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE* I want to trust you but that would be a mistake

Me, throughout the season: ah, so you finally admit that Jaskier is in love with Geralt who somewhat patched things up with Yen so you give Jaskier a new love interest, who is a man [icarly interesting image]

(listen I loved them this season but it felt like a weird sudden jump in their relationship and idk, by this season rocked I just wished they included Jaskier more and if canonicaly were not getting Graskier then fucking give him some screen time as a part of a family! He's great with Ciri!)

Also that Valdo scene was fucking HILARIOUS

Me when, suprise, suprise Radowid did a backflip: I knew it, why am I surprised, I knew it. Jaskier why do you have a TYPE?!

Final thoughts: Jaskier fits perfectly into their witcher family dynamics just give him more screen time! Please! also very curious about Radowid redemption arc although I'm not ready to let go yet, and also may I add the music, fantastic, don't care if it's periodic or not Joey my man you killed it.

It's clear that Jaskier has a type for like unrequited/getting hurt type of love or the writers just love whumping him which like fine but then make it fucking seen like by others? It takes a fucking plot device character in SEASON 3 to see it? like give me some fucking comfort as well you assholes.

Also super weird that they went with the game design and gradually changed it simultaneously ageing Jaskier. I mean why now? He hasn't aged in like a decade and then he suddenly did? Just keep him immortal will you?

NEW EP OF 911 SPOLIERS ⚠️

So as most of you guys are aware I’m currently going through cloud 9 with Buck being a CANNON BISEXUAL AHHHHHHH. Now, with this being FINALLY being canon I have a list of things I except from Bucks new storyline

1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT RUSH BUCKS STORYLINE! 911 was already renewed for a season 8 (because they’re just like that😝) so there’s absolutely NO need to rush his storyline. Sooooooo many people feel seen by 911 doing this, so their main priority should be to let this storyline actually be realistic and relatable because let’s be honest by doing this I’m sure 911 views have sky rocketed (by not only old fans coming back but by other people seeing this show has bi reputation) so their best choice is to keep fueling that passion from those specific group of people

2. Buck should have trouble with his sex life. NOW HEAR ME OUT PEOPLE. Buck has never been with a man before, only women, which means he’s never had gay sex before. Now there’s not a huge difference with straight sex and gay sex but if you’re used to only being in a straight relationship and suddenly you’re in a relationship (somewhat) with a man IT CAN FEEL LIKE IT! And let’s be honest, it’ll be SOOOO in character for Buck to freak out over having sex with Tommy for the first time 😭😭😭

3. Him and Tommy should atleast make it though this season. Like everyone I really want Buddie to happen, however, I really want Buck to be truly COMFORTABLE with his sexuality and used to being in a relationship with a man. This kinda ties in with not rushing his storyline. Not to mention Tommy isn’t even that bad fr, like people are kinda pushing it by hating him so much 💀

4. This is more of a personal want but I CRAVE a good love triangle, hear me out yall. Buck is finally getting used to being with Tommy and Eddie has slowly started forming a crush on Buck. One night Buck and Eddie are talking and Buck starts talking about how happy he is with Tommy. Eddie walks closer to put his hand on Bucks shoulder and say how happy he is for him but after a while they just stopped talking and stares into each others eyes then slowly lean in for a kiss. They could either kiss (Buck starts leaning into it) but stops and says this isn’t right he’s with Tommy OR before they could kiss Chris shows up screaming about wanting pizza (Eddie plays is off like nothing happen BUT Buck stands there deep in thought ‘holy shit we almost kissed”

maven was the first born child to ciro & renata cortés. this was not a happy, loving family. his mother was forced to marry his father due to him stealing her selkie coat.

when his sister, echo, came along, maven even at the young age of three, remembered it being a very bittersweet moment for him. he was ecstatic to have a baby sister, but knew she would likely get the same abusive treatment his mother and he received.

as the pair got older, the abuse got worse. their solace could only be found in each other and in the ruins of tulum where they would explore, both in and out of their selkie coats.

while both kids suffered at the hands of their father, echo got the worst of it, taking more after him with her temper.

eventually, echo killed ciro. their mother told them to run and took the fall for the murder.

they ended up settling in san arcadius where maven decided to run an aquatics store.

inside information -

maven and echo can communicate without using many or at times, any words.

despite everything he went through when he was younger, maven is a very happy go lucky person. or at least, that is the types of vibes he gives off. more than anything, it is a coping mechanism to hide his pain.

he is extremely protective of his sister, wishing he had taken more of the beatings when they were younger.

I always pictured some of the clones being Bisexual pansexual and Demisexual

Especially Fives he gave me BIG bisexual vibes he would seem like the type to see a cute dude and go all heart eyes

I just imagine Jessie and Fives at the 79s and Fives nudges Jessie and he goes "you see what I see" and Jessie nods "oh yeah she is beautiful" and Fives makes a face amd goes "what no I mean the guy next to her excuse me I think I'm going to try my luck" and in the end Fives is grinning waving the paper of the guys number while Jessie cheers him on

I also feel like Echo maybe pansexual? He just seems like the type to get to know the person before he determines if he is attracted to them just imagine a friend's to lovers trope with Echo it would be so cute and I feel like it's what he deserves

Also I just love the idea of Echo being the batches mom or motherly in a way like imagine Hunter and Crosshair arguing and it starts escalating and Echo comes in and goes nope and puts them both in timeout and makes them write apology letters to each other (personal experience my dad would make me and my brother write apology letters to each other it was mostly a sneaky way to trash talk each other at first then admire each other)

And in that same breath if Fives was there he would 100% not let crosshair go to the Empire like the end of season 1 Fives would go "Crosshair get your ass on that ship now or I swear to the galaxy I will drag you myself" and of course no one thinks Fives is for real but they are all horrified (especially crosshair) that Fives picked him up and is straight up dragging him back on the ship scolding him and saying he could be Emo on the ship AWAY from the empire meanwhile Echo is like "yeah Fives you show him"

Bisexual Fives honestly just makes sense. Chef's kiss, 10/10 headcanon 😘👌🏻 I love that mental image of Fives and Jesse at a bar making heart eyes at different people. I could even see Fives looking at both the guy and the girl and arguing with himself over which is hotter 😂

Also thank you for noting some of the clones would be demi, too. I only recently learned about this identity and found so much of myself in it, and it's just so comforting to think of other characters being the same way when it comes to attraction and relationships. I can see Echo, Crosshair, even someone like Cody being demisexual.

Yes, Echo being the Batch's mom is pretty much fact at this point. 🤓 Just look at what happened as soon as he left them. All that bickering and poor decision making wouldn't have happened if mom was around...

That's an interesting thought though, about what Fives's dynamic with the Batch might have been. I could see him as another chaotic brother when they're on regular missions, but he likely would've been much quicker to want to save Crosshair than the other Batchers were. Look at the lengths he went to to save Tup! He would've tirelessly worked toward getting Crosshair freed from the Empire's control. So yeah, if Cross then turns around and insists on pouting on a platform by himself? Not happening. He is getting his ass on the ship and being grateful for it, thank you very much.

Also going through Maya’s route again really drove home the parallels with Maya and Aziz’s routes.

Whereas all the other parallel routes (Talia & Conrad, Jo & Viv, Imani & Alyosha) share a lot of similar events, plotlines or scenes, I feel like the parallels in Maya & Aziz’s routes are more thematic than anything. (Spoilers)

In Maya’s route, we learn that she was once in love and in some kind of relationship with the goddess Persephone. During the game Maya is still very much stuck in a toxic situationship with her. Persephone claims to love Maya and expects to Maya love her back, but she only uses that as an excuse to make Maya do her bidding. Even if once upon a time Maya might have had feelings for Persephone, she has clearly moved on emotionally. But she also feels like she cannot get out, both because she feels a huge debt for Persephone for helping to pay for her transition, and also because Persephone treats her like property and will not let her go.

Then we get to Aziz’s route, where Sam is also very much struggling to get away from another goddess, Inanna. It’s supposed to be a working relationship, but Inanna clearly acts like she owns Sam and doesn’t accept a no for an answer from him.

Just like many other gods and goddesses we meet in the story, Persephone and Inanna seem to view S.Humans as servants, barely human and not really having agency. Free will and being able to choose your destiny and how you live is one of the overarching themes in the whole game, and many of the gods don’t seem to think S.Humans are allowed to have that. At one point, Farah wonders “Do all gods see everyone like that? Or is it just us S.Humans?”

Maya and Persephone’s relationship also parallels that of Sam and Aziz’s, and shows how badly loving a god could turn out. Maya and Sam both have a romantic history with a god, even though Sam has been in denial about Aziz being one. Whereas Persephone will readily manipulate Maya’s emotions, uses her “love” for Maya as blackmail material and won’t accept any kind of disobedience, I feel like Aziz does not actively try to stop Sam from making his own choices and does not try to play mind games with him. Sure, he is very open about pursuing Sam and wanting him to come back to both him and Inanna, but I never really got the vibe that Aziz would have tried to manipulate Sam.

I think it’s also interesting how many of the gods seem to view S.Humans as not fully human because they view them as obedient dolls, whereas Aziz says that he sees Sam as not fully human, because to him Sam is something more than regular humans.

To me, it feels like someone like Persephone or Inanna probably could never separate their relationships from wanting to rule over others, whereas with Aziz it feels like he does have his own twisted way of loving, but it’s on different terms from mortals. He is drawn to Sam’s destructive potential and pushes him to fulfill that potential even if that is probably not the thing that would be best for Sam. He is even pretty flippant about the prospect of Sam dying, because reincarnation is a thing and a god has no trouble waiting for someone to be born again. From a human pov these things are a bit ??? but from a god’s pov they probably make total sense.

Anyway I don’t mean to excuse Aziz’s douchebag behavior or anything but I really felt like his feelings and vulnerability for Sam were genuine, especially contrasted with Persephone and Maya’s situation. And even though being a god explains a lot about his character it also doesn’t mean that he is exactly the same as some of the other gods.

Also, thinking about the “good” endings where the lesbians (Maya and Farah) say ‘fuck this shit, let the gods fight it out themselves and we can get outta here’, whereas the chaotic bisexuals (Sam and Aziz) decide that the only way to win is to kill the old gods and then proceed to become just as bad if not worse than them 😂

- to keep in theme with jasper and victoria’s love for gothic and horror they named their son wesley after iconic horror director wes craven. it seemed on par with their son because he just loves making people scream. wesley and his twin cthulhu came to be with the aid of the dark arts. their mother was having trouble convincing so with a little bit of black magic the twins came to be. he was half skeleton monster which means while he could do all that his dad did it came with a price because of his human side. his body wasn’t fully made to withstand all that was needed so wesley could pop parts off but it left marks on his body - unlike his father. as for a full skeletal transformation? wesley attempted it once and the pain was too excruciating he had to stop. ironically, he was left with a broken arm.   

- wes was gifted the same brilliant mind his father had. he was a certified genius except he didn’t use his intelligence to its full potential. jasper had always sought out something more in life but wes was just content with where he was. he didn’t want to be grand or special, he was fine with slacking off and not giving people expectations. he didn’t want to live up to the skellington name which he was well aware was powerful in hallow falls. it was once besmirched but his father had fixed his reputation, leaving citizens to continue to grovel at their feet for forgiveness. he was the only son in a sea of girls and while jasper didn’t want to pressure his son he also wishes wes would see his potential. 

- he graduated the top of his class but never applied himself to do extracurricular activities or anything. wes had the grades but he let everything else slip. he would much rather be at the skatepark or smoking weed rather than doing bake sales or whatever the golden kids did. for lack of a better word he was fine with being a loser rather than being popular.  

- currently wes works at the comic shop in elias. if he’s not causing mayhem with the teague triplets, or annoying his sisters, he’s with his boyfriend, harry, minding his business, keeping his side of the street clean !!

- personality wise –  absolute fucking menace. very sarcastic and never takes anything seriously. he’s a little crude sometimes. is also known to be moody, chaotic and destructive. he has his moments of intelligence and being the voice of reason but it’s far and few. he plays dumb a good chunk of the time and finds it amusing when people realize that he has more than one brain cell. despite all the annoyance, he’s very loving, loyal and funny.
