rare as the GLIMMER of a comet in the ( sky. ) — BIOGRAPHY ;

jasper skellington always believed he was destined for a life of unhappiness. it was a prophecy his mother had bestowed upon him before he could even have a chance to pave a way for himself. it was a lie he carried but soon realized was not true in the slightest. after breaking the amulet’s curse and sending orion to jail ( with one less arm ), jasper was finally free from his tormentor. his name was also cleared as well given donnie, who worked for orion, gave jasper the tools to free himself. thankfully, donnie made backups of the files orion told him to destroy. which brings us to the catalyst of the future happiness jasper would find: donatello hamato.

the two were friends who had a one night stand that turned into friends with benefits. donnie working for orion and orion obsessed with jasper was tricky but jasper didn’t know donnie was working for orion until the turtle told him which of course caused a riff between them seeing as though jasper felt betrayed by donnie. with orion gone, jasper realized he didn’t want his hate for orion to ruin a friendship with someone he cared for. he didn’t have many friends after all. he wanted to keep the few he had. that line between friendship and something more was something they teetered on for a long time. donnie firmly stated that they couldn’t be anything more than just what they were, especially with his dad still missing, and jasper respected that but it didn’t stop him from falling for donnie. 

but a year later jasper asked donnie to be his boyfriend. donnie said no. a few months later he asked again and donnie said yes. fast foward and after a few attempted proposals donnie finally agreed to marry jasper after the third try. one thing jasper always wanted in life was to bring joy. he wanted to be good and do good. even if the town didn’t deserve it after all they had put him through jasper knew there was still hope in hallow falls. the skeleton wanted to be the one to forge that new hope thus he became the mayor of hallow falls, perhaps one of the worst things he had done. jasper never pressured donnie to be his ‘pumpkin queen’ but the two were partners in everything. the town was not fond of donnie given he wasn’t the ideal partner they saw for their golden boy but jasper didn’t care. he was happy. 

it seemed easier in the beginning with donnie building his company and jasper finding his footing. the distance was hard but jasper made it up to donnie when he let work consume him. once kids were thrown into the mix it was harder. jasper had accidentally created their first born, lilith, when messing around with magic he shouldn’t have and donnie created their second born, diana, after creating rey for raph and to be his replacement in the hamato legacy. it was then jasper started missing dinners, he missed things for the girls, his missed things that were important to donnie yet expected donnie to come to things for him and was just overall absent. he allowed work and the town to take over his life and put his family second. it caused many fights between him and donnie leading them into a cycle of jasper making promises he couldn’t keep. they lived in that for a year until donnie filed for divorce in hopes to keep jasper but instead of fighting jasper signed the papers believing this is what donnie truly wanted. 

separation between these two was very impossible. jasper tried to move on with a young vampire named meredith in hopes to give donnie the space he wanted. it didn’t work. divorce didn’t work because these two idiots were yearning, pining and flirting despite being divorced. jasper was firm with the decision that was made and tried to keep it ( even if it wasn’t what he wanted ) but after a failed attempt at moving on, donnie was climbing through jasper’s window like he had so many times in their youth telling jasper all he wanted was him. that was it. their rekindling couldn’t become public until after he was reelected given meredith was close to the head vampires and would surely ruin his reputation, which jasper couldn’t go through again. once that was over the vampire was dumped and it was made public knowledge that, yeah, they were together again. 

jasper tried to be better about being present at work and home for the sake of donnie and the girls. but when donnie was severely injured in his elias home by a foot clan soldier ( with the girls at home too no less ) that caused him to lose his left leg, jasper knew a change had to be made. he gave up being mayor in a blink of an eye. it shouldn’t have taken almost losing donnie for him to come to his senses but he was glad he finally did. the next day jasper resigned and the pair permanently resided in the skellington manor ( of course renovations were done to make that house a home ). jasper remained the spirit of halloween given that was his birthright but went back to his second joy in life: teaching. 

he became a chemistry professor at walt university. he always enjoyed teaching and watching the hope of the future grow. working with young adults was a nice change of pace. there he was able to balance life and work better. in the middle of all this donnie dropped the bomb that he had another baby just waiting to be born and so their little wes soon follow and remarriage. a few years down the line they had calliope ( donnie wanted four children even if jasper insisted on two ). that was a while ago and fast forward to where he is now with three adults, a teenager and a darling husband he loves more than anything. he had an abundance of nieces and nephews he adored and was surrounded by so much love that he never imagined he would have. jasper is one happy skeleton. his life was filled with many trials and tribulations but eventually he found a ‘happily ever after’. monsters typically didn’t get those endings but this one did.  and for that, he was grateful.

          if you ever wanted to know what jasper skellington was like when he was a teenager just look at his son wesley. the clone of his father and only son between jasper and donnie, wes is the part of jasper that died. a menace with a thirst for knowledge and starry eyes. he may be jasper’s clone but wes is very much his papa’s boy as well. he’s the perfection mixture of both his parents. wes was kind, smart and loving like his father. however he also held donnie’s aloofness and rebellious tendencies and echoed his papa’s feelings of isolation, need to prove himself and wanting to find something that made sense in a world where everything already seemed decided. he’s brilliant, incredibly so, but wes often plays dumb if only to keep the upper hand in situations. he’s quite diabolical when he wants to be. 

wes was the baby that helped bring his parents back together after their divorce. like all their kids, wes was made with an infinite about of love. donnie thought that a baby would bring jasper back to him and while it was a silly thought it wasn’t entirely wrong. in the midst of their rekindling donnie was gravely injured by a rouge foot clan member. it made jasper rethink everything. one of those being more kids. thus wesley was born. donnie always said he wanted a mini jasper to love, cherish and protect. he got exactly that in his only boy. wes was ( and still is ) without a doubt a papa’s boy. from a young age he clung to donnie and to this day still does. he’s close to his dad as well. he looks up to his dad and admires his strength and wisdom but does often clash with him given how similar they are. he is his father’s clone afterall. 

      wesley always struggled with the idea of purpose. having both of his parents who had big legacies attached to them wasn’t easy. the hamato clan was all about destiny and the skellington name held a weight he felt he would only crumble under. lilith always had a perfect sense of self, diana had her path planned for her as her papa’s clone and well callie didn’t have to worry she was the baby. what did wes have? nothing at least he believed so when he was a teenager and lost. after jasper left the role of mayor of hallow falls, any set path wes had was derailed. jasper didn’t want what he had to go through for his son. the town cost him many things - his marriage more importantly and sense of self. jasper didn’t want to have wes suffer the same fate. by stripping that away from him it left wes lost and truthfully insecure because what did he have to offer? it was an existential crisis he dealt with for sometime

      now in his twenties wes has calmed down. don’t be fooled he’s still a menace and a headache on a good day but he’s a lot more tame than he used to be. when he’s not being bombarded by his sisters who love him or hanging out with his best friends ( reggie rogers & lucien reyes-park i love u ) you’ll find wes with his boyfriend, harry teague. they were friends for a long time. like his dads, wes had no romantic interest. unlike his dads, he was well aware of everyone else's interest in him but wes only had eyes for harry. he’s stupidly in love and happy to have found someone who makes him feel alive. wes juggles being a university student ( yes his dad’s his professor and he hates being asked if his dad is single thanks ), working for his papa’s tech company ( that he’ll take over one day ! ) and being a menace to society. as the lone son of jasper he was expected to take over the spirit of halloween title but instead gave that to lili. he knew his sister would thrive at it better than he would. that of course caused problems with his grandparents but wes didn’t care. he happily told them off. he’s writing his own destiny whether they like it or not. he has the support of is parents which is all that really matters to him. he knows now that he has a lot to offer the world. 

random  facts

being donnie’s son means that wes is connected to the hamato ninpo. it’s a recent discovery and he’s still navigating how to use it. since diana now has a bow and arrow, donnie’s bo staff has been passed down to him. like donnie he’s able to conjure weapons with his mystic ability. he’s able to transform donnie’s staff into a scythe. his ninpo is black and tied to the phases of the moon. the different phases are shown on his body. ( inspo / x )

as a half skeleton monster the transformation wasn’t as seamless as it was for jasper. it takes an hour for jasper to turn back into a human whereas it took days for wes to transform back. unable to bear with the idea of his son being uncomfortable donnie found and herb that would make wes’ transformation easier the way it was for jasper. they grow it in their garden at home to have on hand. with it wes is able to transform just as fast as jasper. he doesn’t skeleton out a lot because of how time consuming the process is but he does when necessary. he only removes body parts when needed since donnie doesn’t like seeing his son dismembered.  

very protective of his family. he used to get in many fights when he was younger defending his family’s honor, mostly donnie’s. he heard the horror stories of how his father’s parents treated him and how the town turned on him during orion’s lies. wes also grew up watching hallow falls mistreat his papa. as he got older he stopped using his fists and started using his words to tear people who had things to say about his family. fiercely protective of his sisters. his sisters are so damn safe bro. he loves them with everything he has. however, diana is his parent in crime. his best friend. they’re lovingly called the lavender twins. 

named after iconic horror director ( creator of a nightmare on elm street & scream ) wes craven to keep in theme with the spooky / gothic aesthetic jasper had going on. donnie would be damned if their son was named freddy or jason. his middle name is bestowed upon him by serena. she blessed each hamato-skellington child with different things. for wes, it was lavender to ward off bad dreams. so to honor his best friend, and his husband’s affinity with purple, wes was given the middle lavandin 

wes is a certified genius. we know this. look at his parents. wes is so smart that at nineteen he figured out a new formal to solve an equation. he was able to write a phd level thesis for this new formal of course with the help of donnie because he wanted his papa to be part of that because wes didn’t think of it as a big deal. it just made sense to him

𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐭    —  favorite characters I play / played ; play

so i did the math and over the course of ten years here at walt I've played 26 characters. not including mickey, scar or next gen babies ( because if I had to count my kids from beyond the grave we'd be here forever ) THATS A LOT. now I have ten ( nine active ) and I'm like wow !! how do I pinpoint a favorite !! i love all my characters. asking me to pick my favorite character is like asking me to pick my favorite kid. I won't do it for the present gen but for next gen I say with my whole chest it's josh. this is my current favorite roster of characters I play. whether it's because of their story, connections or because they hold a special place in my heart these are my top four. it would have been top three but the PSD I used had 8 slots so top four for present and next gen let's goooo.

jasper skellington

jasper is the most complex character i have ever written and created. for that I'm very protective of him because, like jack skellington as a whole, he can easily be misunderstood. i can't continue talking about him without thanking bee for creating a character with such love and depth and bea for taking orion and pushing my creativity because her idea for what orion framed jasper for was the catalyst to a lot of jasper's development. listen, I love my bone man. he's one of the more stressful characters I play but writing him often pushes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to use my creative muscles. i noticed long ago that I had a habit of picking up characters who were human and didn't have powers or if they did, I didn't mention it often. jasper is the first non-human character I've played. and let me tell you I've ran with it. creating what a skeleton monster is has been great. I've had a lot of fun developing lore for hallow falls, the skellington lore, what being a skeleton monster means for jasper and what being a skellington means for him. you know, his story is the story of what happens to a good person when they're finally pushed too far. exploring the fine line between revenge and redemption has been interesting. if I had to pick one piece of media that perfectly encompasses him it would be taylor swift's album reputation. the entire album. like there's not a song from it that doesn't fit him in some way. on her rep tour, one quote was "and in the death of her reputation she truly felt alive" and that's jasper. he had to kill his old self to survive and the loss of what he was to the town has allowed him freedom. i mean not really with orion's shenanigans but eventually when it's all said and done jasper will get the peace he's sought after. again, I love the complex dynamics between him and other characters, the development that he will go through during the amulet plot and just jasper as a whole. I'm very thankful that one day I decided I wanted to play him. it'll be a year soon that I've had him and I haven't known peace since.

leonardo hamato

listen i don't remember what life was like before I had leo. suddenly one day I had him and now he's just part of me. realizing I was indeed the blue turtle was a wild discovery but one I am very happy for. leo is now what wally was once to me. he is the muse I pour most of myself into. where I begin and he ends is a very thin line. like jasper, I have enjoyed world-building with leo. Much love, care and time have been put into the hamato-verse. i am thankful every day to have tori, mike and bee with me as my red, orange and purple. we do indeed share one brain-cell. I've gone above and beyond with leo as a character. from his mutations and what would be left behind from it, researching red ear sliders, what traits he would take on from his turtle DNA ( the amount of research and analysis videos I've watched is silly. i didn't do this much research in school for fun ), and how that would affect him in the long run, the hamato ninpo and what that means for him and his powers and trying to mesh all these turtle media together to bring to life a character that is reminiscent of the past leo's we've seen but also making him my own. i enjoy the journey he goes on from an insecure leader thrust into a position he didn't ask for to the wise sensei we all know. ( and yes he is a snitch in the future. he doesn't care he's 44. he's too damn old for his brothers to be acting a fool. he's letting splinty know the buffoonery that happens. ). i definitely have put a lot of love and time into him in the short amount of time I've had him. like sometimes I just talk about him and I just cry because I love him so much. again, he's a character that has pushed me out of my comfort with writing. i have made myself cry many times with his replies because I just don't know when to shut up with all this inner dialogue. i love leo, I love the hamato brothers, i love the future hamatos, I love the extended hamato family and i just love turtles.

reagan cymbeline

my angel ! my baby ! my sunshine ! we know what tangled and rapunzel means to me. the fact it took me until 2019 to take her up. FOUL. CRIMINAL. i love reagan so much. to have the opportunity to play a character that means so much to me I can't put into words how that feels. I'm lucky to have such an amazing flynn rider ( literally when I tell you I could have not asked for a better eugene. like tiff is a god sent. an angel. the better half of new dream ) to bounce off of and bring blondie to life with. like leo, reagan is another facet of me. rapunzel is a character that I hold near and dear to me. she is the character I see myself most in. literally people see tangled things and tell me they thought of me. that's how intertwined we are. so to bring her to life has been so much fun and like LOWKEY cathartic. her story had taken twists and turns ( hi benny ) but I am very excited to delve more into tangled lore, play out big plot points and have her reach her life after happily ever after.

wally axiom

i played wally from when i was 15 to 25. that is many seasons of life. that's a long ass time to play one character consecutively. my brain fully developed while I played them. there is a frontal lobe now. for ten years they were the character that meant everything to me. they were the character that I pour so much of my soul into. they were the character everyone knew me by. wally and I we've been through it together. we've seen some things, we've experienced some things. some were great. others things... not so much. i am very proud of the journey they have gone on. an ending I wish to have myself one day of happiness, growth, and fulfilled dreams. i know they're happy somewhere in retirement with their lovely boyfriend and wonderful kids. AND YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S WHAT THEY DESERVE.

joshua axiom-hawkins

i already said josh was my favorite child and i stand by that. he was my first next-gen baby. the first baby to be born in the present gen. MY first baby to be born in present gen. he's gonna be nine in September. jim and wally have a whole nine-year-old. that's crazy. like the fact, I know when he's born is foolery. ( it's September 12, 2014 ). I've enjoyed exploring him through his adolescence and adulthood. i love that he now has fight club to be part of, I've love expanding on that and his life with dante. and also he has like a great dad. give it up for great dads. jim hawkins you will always be famous. i love josh so much. like that's my baby fr.

wesley skellington

my favorite child of next-gen that's not josh title bounces around with each next gen. for some time now wes has held that title. i get emotional every time I think about wes is the part of jasper that died that gets to live on. jasper gets to protect his younger self in a way that he wasn't and have his son grow up in love. he's gone through many changes in these last few months. he is not the wes you all saw last next gen. I'm very excited to reintroduce him to you when the time comes. i love his thirst for knowledge and to dismantle the skellignton patriarchy, his devotion to his family and though he is a genius, dare he say ( and emphasis on he ) the smartest in his family man does some headass shit and I love him. he is indeed my favorite menace to society. wes & harry u own my heart.

caspian mcqueen

my favorite scallywag. i love caspian. idk what else to say. like he held that second favorite title for so long before wes was born. he's the first character I had to really have powers when we decided to add a magical element to walt. I've enjoyed curating what it means to have these ghost abilities and how he fits into his giant family with them. caspian is the odd one out because of his powers and it's an interesting dynamic to explore, especially because he has a big family. so there are many moving parts. then you add on extended family and PHEW. that and having a famous race car driver for a dad and a pirate turned adventurer for a mother it's all fun to explore. he might live in a world with powers and magic but he was made to feel like a freak because his powers were paranormal and supernatural so having to deal with that truth has been fun for me. i love his silly band, I love his relationship with hallie ( they're happy somewhere on their ship hehe ), I love his bromance with davu and he's really grown up a lot in the four years I've had him. so like I'm proud of him fr.

fox jones

i don't play many villains or mean characters most of the time. in my roster, there are three and fox is one of them. i gave him a tragic ass backstory because I was left to my own devices. now I have this feral bastard. playing out his story of overcoming your circumstances and not letting them taint you forever has been one I've enjoyed. he's not a villain he's just a boy. a boy who needed love and he found it in his family and in stefan. when jean and I were talking about sereddy's future and their kids her saying that serena knew that their kids were meant for them really fucking got me. so to play with that idea and for fox to begin in a place with such hostility to now be raised in love, it makes me weepy because serena and freddy had it HARD growing up ( part of the my dad sucks club you know ) so their kids know nothing but love. it's a hard adjustment for him but you know it's called growth baby. he's getting there. he's pretty, he's feisty and I love coming up with dumb comebacks for him. he's had some iconic one-liners over the years.

The awkwardness between them had almost disappeared and Donnie was mostly happy to have a friend back. “Yes, it is. Life color or so Mikey claims.” He sighed and tired to get a look at the price tag. “I can’t tell how much it is and it seems like a frivolous purchase regardless.”

🎃 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────    jasper nodded in response. things with donnie had seemed to settle. jasper really hadn’t had time for any resolutions to take place given he was wrapped in orion’s web that he hardly saw anyone now.  “ life color ? ”  the skeleton asked. he moved himself around to get a better look at the price.  “ it’s expensive. i’ll tell you that. however, if it is something you really want you deserve to buy nice things for yourself every now and then. ”  which was easy for jasper to say given his status.

🎃 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────    “ it is a lovely jacket. ”   jasper spoke as he looked to the article of clothing in the window then turned to look at donnie. the skeleton had been making his way back to his place after lunch with haven. on his stroll he ran into donnie and well now here they were walking down mainstreet and looking at the satin jacket in the window.  “ purple is your color. ”  he added with a head tilt. he had picked up on donnie’s obvious affinity with the color long ago.  “ i think you should take it home. ”

Donnie’s head tilted as he looked into the window. He knew that this particular store was extremely expensive but the satin purple jacket on the mannequin was calling to him. He could see his eyes shining in his reflection. It wasn’t a very concealed fact that Donnie loved the finer things in life but he never really indulged in it except for when it came to spoiling his family. Yet here he was debating that jacket he knew was well into the hundreds. “I mean who could blame me for not wanting to take this beauty home?”

“ i think we’re the only ones who can decide that for ourselves. some people live in a box on purpose. but the universe has to be bigger than that. i always liked the idea of … you know how some people thought the horizon just ended, as if the ocean led to a great big waterfall into space ? we should bring that back, ” she said with a decisive smile.

🎃 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────   it was for this very reason jasper had grow quite fond of belle’s presence. she held the same curiosity he did. the spark he once held had dimmed over time but it was slowly being relit the more he spoke to her. she reminded him there was much to discover and question in this life.  “ sometimes people are placed in boxes searching for an escape. you are right i feel most limit themselves and accept what is before them. they don’t realize that the universe is vast and free will is one of the greatest gifts that can be given. i do believe it is bigger than that. a great waterfall in space, huh ? i would travel the sea more if that was what was waiting for me at the end. ”

“Are you going to tell me there’s a werewolf running around?” Donnie would probably believe it actually. This city had been nothing but strange. “That’s because I prefer comfort over looks. I do wear t-shirts from time to time.” He watched him sit and he was slightly distracted by the outfit’s shimmer. He’d been wanting to ask where Jasper had disappeared to but he also didn’t want to cross boundaries. “Huh, never noticed that. But you’re not actually dead. Your heart beats. Don’t remember that in your closet but okay. It’s…serving it’s purpose. It’s just not something I’d imagine you’d wear.” 

🎃 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────    “   there   could   be.   i   have   yet   to   meet   him.”         jasper   wouldn’t   be   surprised   if   there   was   a   werewolf   among   them.      “   i   was   talking   of   ..   other   monsters.   ”      he   hinted,   rubbing   the   amulet   that   was   around   his   neck.   it   seemed   as   though   the   mere   thought   of   orion   caused   his   skin   to   itch   around   the   piece   of   jewelry.      “   ah,   from   time   to   time.   not   often,   hm   ?   ”      he   teased   lightly   with   a   small   smile.   he   finally   sat   beside   him   and   let   out   a   small   huff   of   air.   he   reached   for   donnie’s   hand.      “   see   ?   cold.   ”      it   was   for   emphasis   on   the   skeleton's   statement   that   he   was   indeed   an   ice   cold   individual   and   swiftly   let   it   go   as   fast   as   he   had   grabbed   it.      “   i’m   not   dead,   no,   but   halloween   and   death   are   intertwined.   it   does   beat   but   differently   than   yours.   grim   reapers   also   run   in   my   family   so   that   might   also   be   an   added   factor   to   the   deathly   cold.   ”      jasper   snorted   an   amused   laugh.      “   how   deep   were   you   in   my   closet   ?   it’s   not   the   most   ridiculous   outfit   i’ve   put   on.   there’s   this   pinstripe   suit   my   father   gave   me   with   a   bat   bow   tie.   it’s   ...   something.   ”

Raph was doing his best impression of a wallflower. It’s not that he wasn’t social and liked to have conversations and meet people. It was that this was way out of his comfort zone and he was getting a little overstimulated by the glittering outfits and the overly glamorous event. He did enjoy experiencing something new but he needed a break so he was walking back to the quieter desert table when he was tugged back by his jacket. He turned slightly to see the man untangling them. “That’s fine, man. It happens.” The outfit was extravagant and Raph couldn’t help but take it in. 

🎃 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────     jasper   felt   bad.   he   was   trying   to   do   his   best   to   not   be   a   problem   tonight   as   he   had   unfortunately   become   during   the   halloween   bash   and   yet   his   outfit   seemed   to   have   a   mind   of   its   own.      “   i   suppose   it   does.   ”      not   as   often   jasper   thought.   during   these   events   ?   more   likely.      “   here,   allow   me.   ”      the   skeleton   began   as   he   freed   them   from   their   tangled   outfits.      “   again,   i   apologize   for   that.   i   hope   your   outfit   isn’t   ruined   in   anyway.   ”      he   paused   giving   the   guy   a   once   over   before   speaking   again.   “   the   red   really   suits   you.   ”
