WAHHH mismatched socks, the elastic of his calvin kleins (that u bought him) peeking out at his backside; he nearly trips over his work bag that's waiting for him on the floor and practically slides right into your full-length mirror--you're really rooting for him and even though he wouldnt say it, he'd try to strangle himself if he lost his job for being late just one too many times--because he's rushing to get out the door.

you can hear him from the kitchen where you're putting together lunches (not for him specifically, but because you already make something for yourself, you might as well...you're welcome, touya), AND YES IT'S SO HARD not to laugh when the door bursts open and he's looking like a little fool with his black and white hair actually combed down and smudges around his eyes from trying + failing to get your eyeliner off of him.

(also, did he use your hairspray that was sitting on your vanity? maybe. okay, yes. though it's no surprise he knows where everything you own is lmfao)

he stills refuses to let you put things in a lunch box, but no way in HELL he's not shoving the wrapped sandwich and bento full of fruit into his bag before !!! kissing you goodbye!!!

it's truly like a dream come true 'coz even though part of him feels like a DOG having to work for the man, making you happy is what MAKES HIM HAPPY and being able to fill your (and now! his) room with more cute and pink things is his new favorite hobby...

(and even though he blushes like hell doing it, the next lunch date he's picking you up from, he's paying the whole table's bill in CASH and not taking no for an answer. makes him feel the best he has in a while. even though he's still eating everyone's leftovers lmao.)

llevar has so many different uses - basic Spanish it's either "to carry", or "to wear (clothes)"... it also means "to give someone a ride" but that's essentially "carrying/transporting" just with a person

Time is a bit different. It gets translated as "to have been (doing)"

You consider it sort of like a pattern of sustained activity

So it's something like "I've been saying that for years" and "I've been away for almost a month"

People bring it up a lot in ways to express time, especially with por and durante as "for"

As an example, someone might say he estudiado por tres meses or you can say llevo tres meses estudiando both come out as "I've studied for three months" more or less

The only grammatical thing to note is that llevar will then use a verb in the gerund form; decir in your example turns to diciendo, in mine estudiar to estudiando

Regular time phrases with por or durante as "for/throughout" don't need that

And because llevar is a sustained pattern, it will also come up in questions of "ago" or "since/for how long" which is normally done with hacer ...such as hace un año que vivo en la ciudad "it's been a year since I started living in the city" can be phrased as llevo un año viviendo en la ciudad "I have been living in the city for a year"

This is a super useful phrase for connecting clauses and paragraphs! You can use it just like it's English equivalent.

Example 1:

きれい な 都市 です。加えて、そこは 多く不思議な物語を起きている~

kirei na toshi desu. kuwaete, soko wa ōku fushigi na mono o okiteiru...

It's a beautiful town. Moreover, there are many mysterious things going on there...

Example 2:

朝食は美味しいです！加えて、全部は自分でつ作ったが印象的です。

chōshoku wa oishii desu! kuwaete, zenbu wa jibun de tsukatta ga inshōteki desu.

the breakfast is delicious! moreover, it's impressive you made it all yourself.

honestly reading fanfiction is kind of fun not even on like the level of eating junk food i just really love to see unskilled writers with their natural inclinations and quirks

～たて + ～たばかり: Want some freshly-baked cookies?

The suffix ～たて can attach to the ～ます - stem of any verb to mean "freshly (verb)'d." The most frequent places you'll see it are in reference to food.

Ex. この焼きたて（の）パンがおいしい。 このやきたて　（の）ぱんが　おいしい。 This freshly-baked bread is delicious! However, it can also be used with some other verbs:

生まれたての子犬たちが可愛かった。 うまれたたての　こいぬたちが　かわいかった。 The newly born puppies were cute.

When a noun follows ～たて , then usually a の connects both words, though sometimes it is skipped, eg. 焼きたてパン.

【～たて ｖｓ～たばかり】

Now, you might have heard of the grammar point ～たばかり already, which expresses something similar.

The biggest difference between ～たばかり and ～たて, is that ～たて always includes the meaning 'new' or 'fresh' and has a positive meaning. Note that it cannot be used to express the passage of time. eg. ～したすぐあと (Just after I did [verb]) or ～してからあまり時間が経（た）っていない (not much time has passed since I did [verb]).

～たばかり on the other hand is neutral and focuses on the time after something has passed.

〜たばかり → indicates that not much time has passed since the last time it was used/done 〜たて → new and fresh, as not much time has passed since the last time it was used
