Hello and Happy New Year! I saw your requests open and I'm not sure if you just forgot to close it (because I saw your drafts post and it seemed like quite a lot,)

But if I'm just in time, may I request Bela, Cass, and Dani having an S/O (preferably fem but can be GN) who was just a regular person at first, but after getting the Cadou, they gain the power to turn into spiders (like the sisters but instead of flies, it's a bunch of black widows)?

I headcanon that the girls, as intimidating and dangerous as they are, are still comically afraid of spiders or anything that eats flies, so it'd be funny to see how they react.

I also share this headcanon.

At first, it seems as though Bela doesn't really have much of a reaction at all. She raises her eyebrows a bit. That's about it.

Then you get closer to her.

And she sort of has the air of someone who got told to "act casual" but doesn't know what to do with themselves.

"Are you alright?"

"Of course!"

"It's okay if it freaks you out, Bels." You're not gonna lie, it scared you when you first realized what you can do.

As soon as you say that, it's like you open a floodgate. Bela starts talking and rambling and you can barely understand what she's saying because she's going so fast and she isn't even pausing to take a breath and—

She stops. You're sort of confused. You don't even think half of that rant was on topic, but she seems much better now.

Why don't you tell her about what things are like now that you've gotten your Cadou? She'd like to hear :))

Cassandra Dimitrescu

Cassandra quite noticeably jumps.

Her form becomes completely solid in an instant.

She then proceeds to let out quite a long string of expletives. You've never even heard some of those curse words before!

She tells you that this whole thing doesn't freak her out, but she's a terrible liar. She's leaning away from you as you try to reassure her. Like, you're kind of afraid she might keel over.

Once she does eventually get used to your new ability, Cassandra actually finds it pretty cool.

The two of you end up making quite the terrifying couple. How very sexy of you guys!

Normal spiders still freak her out, though. She will not hesitate to avoid a room for weeks if she sees a spider that isn't part of you.

Daniela Dimitrescu

Dani straight-up screams.

The scream is blood-curdling. Anyone else in the castle who heard it probably thought a maiden was getting murdered.

It is long. As in, she keeps it going the entire time she's swarming away from you.

You eventually find her hiding on top of a cabinet.

You have to try and coax her into coming down. You're still you! You just so happen to also be a hivemind of mutant black widows now.

"But what if you try to eat me?" It's a bit funny to hear coming out of the mouth of someone who frequently bites people hard enough to rip chunks of flesh out, you think.

"I'm not going to do that, Dani."

Listen, pal. You can think that, but you don't know for sure! Daniela and her family didn't have a thirst for blood until they got their Cadous.

...Or at least, she doesn't think so? She can't remember anything from before then.

Literally, the hardest one to pin down because their entire character is based on the fact that she is a mirror to people to get them to trust her easier. So the voice is more of a Ranged thing than a set one. I once had them appear in my dream though and I'm so mad i can't exactly send that as an example. But her voice ranges from Damiano David of Måneskin to Meryl Streep's performance as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. They usually speak with a very breathy tone, almost whispering in your ear, but with some rasp. For screams though she sounds like the song Nakedness Of Need by Pharmakon. Aaaaand if you're about to get eaten [or are lucky enough to be part of her polycule] they sound like Machine Screw by Type O Negative [which does not have a definitive credit]

While a very minor character, she's Nikki's mother and I cannot leave her out of this. She sounds like Myss Keta <3

They have a small but permanent echo to their voice. It's a voice that is very light and airy, as if a ghost was trying to talk to you. For this, as much as I dislike this person, I think she'd sound like Grimes in the song Oblivion. She doesn't speak much though and often forgets she can't communicate with living people the same way they do with spirits.

Probably one of my favorite voiceclaims: Patricia Morrison of The Gun Club, Sisters Of Mercy, and The Damned. They have this smooth and comforting voice and it's really helpful considering they are a therapist. You could listen to anything they say and you just want to hear it until you fall asleep because of how soothing it is.

Also a favorite of mine, his voice sounds like Prince's. From everything about the pitch, the mannerisms, the dramatics, it just fits him perfectly and most importantly: oh my god he needs to have some slay going for him

They've got one of the most recognizable voices imo, and it's that of Jinx from League Of Legends/Arcane. I think it really matches their appearance and the mask they put around others

📐 Guccio Piranesi

He has the voice and wavering of Peter Garrett of Midnight Oil, specifically in the song Beds Are Burning. But he's got a really fun way of talking that I can't just leave out when speaking. He constantly repeats his sentences in different ways to get one point across, so much to the point where he ends up overexplaining and overcomplicating the message so it's hard to understand what he's saying.

While this isn't everyone, the rest I either do not have enough confidence to set down a specific voice, or I haven't developed their character enough yet.

B A C K S T O R Y

Dani is the daughter of a single mother (Maeva) in the Outer City and some deadbeat bard dad who she's never met and doesn't care to meet. Her mother works as a seamtress and laundress now, but she was a barmaid at a tavern when she met Dani's father. Maeva was still working as a barmaid (this time with a very young infant daughter) when she crossed paths with Brannon Rufford, the human leader of a small band called the Merry Rovers.

Brann's wife, also a Rover, went into labor while they were performing at Maeva's tavern. Maeva helped a little with the birth, but Brann's wife died. She agreed to look after the baby, named Liara, while Brann worked to get enough money to support and feed her. Ever since then, Brann and Liara have considered themselves family with Maeva and Dani.

Though Brann eventually took to roving and barding again once Liara was old enough to join him, he and Liara continued to return again and again to drop in on Maeva and Dani. When Dani was 10, she met her new best friend, a dragonborn bard named Paraxxel who was performing as a street drummer when he got jumped by a small gang. (I have a fic about this lol) She convinced him to join up with Brann and Liara as part of their band. Later, a half-elf named Kellen joined up too (and Liara instantly fell in love with him and swore she'd marry him).

When Dani was around 15, her mother took seriously ill and was bed-ridden for weeks. She worked as best she could to afford healing costs for her mother, but it wasn't enough. Her mother's legs are now permanently weakened and she requires a healer to help restore some vitality to them about once a month.

Because of this, Dani begged to join the Merry Rovers, as they would make more money than she could alone or working as a laundress. Maeva reluctantly agreed, and for the last ten years Dani has been wandering with the Merry Rovers as their main fiddle player, sending money back to her mother as often as she can and thoroughly enjoying the rover's life. To her, the Rovers are as much her family as her own flesh-and-blood mother.

She was out roving and performing with them the day she was taken by the nautiloid. Paraxxel was snatched too. If Dani were a companion and not the player character, part of her questline would be trying to find Paraxxel and rescue him from being a slave of the Absolute.

More for my NTU Spider AU

I'm still working on the acronym because I don't want to spell it out every time, ntusau is still a lot tho.

Going back to my previous idea with Danny having a symbiote instead of spider powers, I imagine it would play out like this:

We start somewhere in the middle of Timmy's story and at the beginning of Danny's, Timmy has already been bitten by the spider and Danny has no ghost powers.

Danny is visiting his aunt and uncle (Cosmo and Wanda) for a little while because his family's house had been over run by ghost and now it needs to be spiritually fumigated, so he's staying with them in the meantime.

He's excited to see his cousin Timmy because they haven't talked in a few years, however Timmy is very flighty and doesn't stick around them for too long before he jets off to do whatever secretive business he's got going on. While his parents and his family chock it up to him being a teenager and wanting to be by himself, Danny thinks it's a little weird and follows him the next time he runs off.

Danny loses him but he does find the local Spider Man fighting Doc.Oct, they're both playing tug-a-war with a vile of black goo. It falls and smashes at Dany's feet, but the two don't seem to notice that they don't have the vile in their hands anymore.

Queue scene of Danny fighting with the symbiote suit.

The next time Spidey and Oct are set to duke it out, our beloved Spider man doesn't show up but Venom does. Doc Oct recognizes the symbiote and thinks it would be interesting to see how it functions now that it has a host and puts a tracker on him, Danny rips him a new one.

Eventually through something funny or something heartbreaking Timmy finds out his cousin took in the symbiote, and once their house is done being spiritually cleansed he leaves with the symbiote in hand to use against the ghosts that plague his home.

I think this would be a good origin story for ghost Danny in this universe, instead of having 2 spiders he just has the symbiote.

I don't think it would be fair to have Danny's symbiote be full on Venom like how he is in the movies, I think his symbiote just influences him instead of talking and persuading him to do things. While the regular Venom is a fully sentient being that talks to Edie, Danny's Venom is more like a dog he can understand the thought process of. They transform the same tho, because I think it would be really cool to have the ghost form morph around him.

Danny calls his symbiote ghost, and the suit his ghost form :]

Thomas asks Alex if she'd give up coffee for him

Alex asks him if he really wants her to answer that and he does so she says "not even for you."

Thomas asks, what about for us?

Alex is confused

Thomas says she did it once

Alex realizes he meant for the twins when she was pregnant. She asks if he wants another kid.

Thomas says not right now but maybe some day. He asks what about her, if she'd give up coffee someday for their family.

Alex smiles and touches her stomach and says ask her again some day, implying she would say yes.

☆ Ethan Ramsey x Ellie Shepherd

Like so many others who have answered this (and similar to Bryce's) I do think Ethan wakes up early to exercise or run just to clear his head and start his day feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Ellie would definitely not be on board with that. lol She doesn't mind waking up early as much as Olivia and Alex despise it, but she's more of a yoga girl than running in the cool Boston morning. So this conversation definitely could happen for this situation.

Another possibility would be if Ellie asks Ethan to add Bryce on Pictagram because she's tired of him harassing her to get Ethan to add him. Ethan still refuses (he has 3 friends: Ellie, Alex, and Thomas) and is more amused by how much Bryce wants to be added. One day Ethan will eventually add Bryce and Bryce will be very disappointed to see there are like 5 photos and they're all ones Ellie or Alex made him post. Though, I totally am curious if somehow Bryce and Alex become friends through Ethan's social media page. That would be an interesting friendship. Maybe Olivia can be the twin's pediatrician... you know because it totally makes sense to have a pediatrician across the country.. but I digress.

Is it weird that my first thought is Daenarya asking Mal to kill a spider and Mal is afraid of it so he won't do it, not even for her?! lol I don't know where that came from but Tyril's afraid of geese so Mal being afraid of spiders just feels right lol

I also have this weird feeling if Daenarya ever asked Mal to ask for directions the conversation would go similarly. He will not do it, he insists he knows what to do and where to go even if he's lost. Poor Mal 😆

So those are the thoughts I had that I'd still like to play with, but just incase I don't get the time, I wanted to at least share this much!

1. That Time Keeley scoured the locker-room for forty-five minutes to find and remove a spider, while the entire team balanced on top the benches arming themselves with rolled-up newspapers and pretty hefty looking books to protect themselves from said spider.

(For the record, Keeley doesn't think a little arachnophobia is anything to be embarrassed about, but she does think it was a little strange that Jamie nearly burst into tears when she threatened to christen the arachnid 'Jamie the Spider' and keep it in a match-box as the team's new mascot.)

2. That Time Roy asked them to keep an eye on Phoebe while she was visiting the Dogtrack and within an hour she'd gone missing twice (they found her both times), learned ten new swear words (in three different languages), learned how to do a dirty tackle, and looked inside Jamie's locker.

(When Roy mentions a month later that Phoebe has been drawing impressively anatomically correct pictures of women's breasts at school, the team exchange terrified looks. "It's not as if the pics are of Keeley anymore," Jamie whispers. "That...that would be worse, wouldn't it?"

"I don't think it makes it any better, bruv," Isaac says.)

Also what if Emilia has to have medical exams/check ups to test how the cadou is acclimating/affecting her body/health and she just. Freezes up, has a panic attack and tries to escape by bursting into spiders. (because the last person who gave her these exams/tested her abilities was Miranda. Who has no tolerance with children, or adults. Let alone people who have mentally regressed to the age of ten.) So she'll only have the exam if they're really slow, gentle, and if Mia does it for her, but-

The thing is, you know Miranda would have to be the one doing those exams in the first place. Because at the end of the day, Emilia is still her experiment, she's the one with all the notes, and she did the same thing for the girls when they were newly reborn, as well as the Lords. Because Miranda needs to know absolutely everything and won't risk Alcina lying to her about something just because she's grown attached.

I don't think Emilia would have panic attacks over it but she's definitely anxious and prefers to have Mia with her. Mia makes sure Miranda doesn't do anything sketchy and/or hurt Emi at all (especially since Mia has also been poked and prodded by Miranda before, and knows this woman can be unnecessarily rough), despite Miranda muttering about it.

The sisters are there, too, because they know it's scary. It was scary when they were all going through it together, they couldn't imagine doing it alone, even with Mia there. They remember it being quite invasive (if not a little painful) and they all get anxious seeing the set up again. (On the bright(?) side, Miranda gives Emilia a little bit of praise for being "Much better than [her] siblings", so that's something). It does make them slightly more sympathetic towards her. Cass and Daniela start getting along with her better, anyway.

Emilia definitely gets a treat for being brave, though. And so do Cass and Dani, because they'll whine if they don't.

The one thing I don’t understand about Far From Home is why at the end of the second Venom movie they made a big deal about them coming into the MCU and Venom possibly meeting Tom’s Peter. But then they immediately go back at the end of Far From Home? Like. What was the point? 😂

Oh, you mean "No Way Home??"

Yeah, I'm not sure.. I'm not even sure how the spell worked as applied to Venom, since it was only supposed to pull in people who knew Peter Parker was Spiderman? The only way it makes sense for him to show up is if you know that all of the Venom symbiotes are connected in like, a great big hivemind. And that they all know what the other symbiotes know.

So, basically, because Topher Grace Venom from Spider-Man 3 (how about that sentence, huh?) knew that Tobey!Peter was Spiderman, then in the grand-multiverse of multiverses, Tom Hardy's Venom would "have" that knowledge, too. And the spell was obviously imperfect.

I think it was just a bit of fan service, combined with the fact that a bit of the symbiote stays behind in the MCU-Verse, setting up a potential for a Venom to exist there. So, I think that was the point. And because who doesn't want more Tom Hardy?? And isn't it in-character for Eddie and Venom to go on a chaotic Mexican vacation with Dani Rojas???

But I quite like the idea that the Sony-verse Tom Hardy Venom's Peter Parker would be the Andrew Garfield Peter Parker. Which, they could definitely do.

Best of Marvel: Week of April 3rd, 2019

Best of this Week: The Amazing Spider-Man #18.HU - Nick Spencer, Ken Lashley, Erick Arciniega and Joe Caramagna

I had literally never heard of Gibbon until these last two issues of Spider-Man, but with such a short time knowing him, I am heartbroken. Gibbon has had a hard, terrible life full of mockery, failure and obscurity. This issue was amazing and by the end, Nick Spencer adds more weight to Spider-Man's shoulders.

In his childhood, Gibbon was made fun of for his ape-like features. He could take the bullies words and beatings, but more than anything he couldn't stand their laughter. While thinking of this, he's being chased by people in Kraven the Hunter's robot suits who make fun of him for being so sad.

We learn that, to avoid laughter, Gibbon seeks refuge in the heights of trees and later applies this to his adult life in New York as he sees Spider-Man swinging high in the sky. Gibbon thinks that maybe he can be a sidekick and enjoy the freedom that the skies bring, so he introduces himself to Spider-Man in a suit he wore while he was in the circus. Spider-Man, much like the bullies and circus crowds, laughs in his face and Gibbon fights him in a rage, setting him down a path of villainy.

Meanwhile, the chase gets even worse as he's stabbed, shot, and losing blood very quickly after being betrayed by The Vulture who uses him as bait for the hunters. At the same time, he thinks back to his former girlfriend, Madame Serpent, who is also being hunted and thinks maybe he can help her, but chooses to not, thinking she's better off without him.

In such a short time, going through all of the downs in his life, it's hard not to feel for this character. He doesn't believe he can do anything right, he's perpetually down on his luck and he just wants to be left alone. He isn't angry and is even remorseful for how he handled his first encounter with Spider-Man and wants to apologize. However, even his refuge in the trees can't save him as he's slowly succumbing to his wounds and falls, alerting nearby hunters who decide to put him out of his misery.

As he lies on the ground, bleeding out, Spider-Man arrives for his last moments and he just wants to spill his guts, but is unable. Ken Lashley's art and Erick Arciniega's colors turn this already depressing story into an even more somber affair as we see Spider-Man hanging his head at another life he couldn't save while Gibbon ends his inner monologue with, “Well, at least no one's laughing now.”

That's the kind of gut punch that events like this are supposed to have! Spider-Man's no stranger to such things, but he begged Gibbon to come with him, knowing that Vulture would do something villainous and he did. Spider-Man knows that Gibbon won't be the last to die during this and that's the motivation he'll need if he wants to overcome Kraven and the rotten bastards helping him. Nick Spencer does it again, high recommend!

Things are not what they seem.

Runner Up: Prisoner X #2 - Vita Ayala, Germán Peralta, Mike Spicer and Joe Sabino

At least that's what Lucas Bishop thinks after someone slips him a note telling him “The dream is real. Reality is false. Get out!” Having been suffering hallucinations that he doesn't quite understand, he asks who gave him the note and what the heck it means. Of course he gets nothing but guff from the other inmates because he used to be an X-Man, the elite who made the laws that made them go to jail.

He tries to get answers from Polaris and Dani Moonstar, both of whom seem to have some semblance of their past memories, but is either rebuffed or left hanging when the laughter that's been menacing him begins to show again, also echoing the appearance of a woman with an M on her face similar to his own.

As if things couldn't get any more creepy, he's attacked by what appear to be clones or hallucinations of almost every incarnation of himself.

Prisoner X does a great job of seeding a mystery. Who's the one laughing in Bishop’s head? What exactly is Forge doing in the background and what is the true purpose of the prison beyond his explanation of rehabilitation? Who is the mystery woman that also has the M Brand on her face?

If there were any criticism I could lob at the story, it would have to be the inclusion of Dani at all, given she's also appearing in the Uncanny X-Men main series and it's been presented that if anyone was near X-Man when he created his Mutopia, they were in one world and not the other. Gabby and X-23 can be excused by saying their series takes place before the events, but Dani is currently among Cyclops team of mutants and I do not like lack of story coordination.

But overall, this story is very interesting and I'm a Bishop and Polaris fan, so this gets a recommend from me.
