Olivia went to prom with her high school boyfriend and very good friend. They didn't work out (breaking up during freshman year) but they will always love each other (as friends). Not me over here now HC her high school bf's FC is Dylan O'Brien because

Bryce didn't go to his prom. Between his family's drama and him being in his rebellion stage, Bryce and a few friends hit the beach for a bonfire and moonlight surfing. (Drinks after, for safety-no drunk surfing here)

Ellie is more of a book worm and would have rather stayed home and read a book than attend prom. However, her best friend convinced her to go with her. They wore matching dresses and spent the night being silly, having fun, and just enjoying the event while not worrying about any expectations or drama that comes with prom.

Ethan went to prom because his high school girlfriend insisted. She wore a blue gown so he wore a blue tux, it complimented his eyes beautifully. After prom, Ethan shifted his focus to college (even more so than before) and spent less and less time with his girlfriend until she broke up with him. He understood and seemed indifferent about it which made his girlfriend even more infuriated.

How would your MC (Ellie) and Ethan have gotten together if MC chose Kenmore instead of Edenbrook to do their internship?

Ooo this is interesting, so my first thought was no! lol Because the reason I started writing Ethan and Ellie (well one of the reasons) was I loved how their story had a lot in common with Thomas Hunt and Alex in Hollywood U. I had already established their path from professor/student to a couple. They over came all of these obstacles and challenges to make it work.

In my world, Ethan needed a little more encouragement to pursue Ellie. Thomas and Alex were there to offer him advice and wisdom, things they had to learn and overcome as a mentor/mentee relationship. It was Alex's encouragement and support that helped him take a chance that my Ethan might not have taken because he was too stubborn and Ellie is not as pushy and determined as Alex was with Thomas.

Anyway, so to put Ellie in MassKen takes away that whole dynamic, which is something I LOVE most about Ethan/Ellie. Hence my NO.

HOWEVER! I actually have a coffee shop AU for Ellie and Ethan where Ellie is a barista and Ethan is his grumpy self. He sees the new barista/Ellie and complains that she can't get it right, he wants the usual barista, she's the only one that can make an adequate coffee to his specifications. But Ellie makes a bet that hers will be better or his coffee is on her for the week. But if she wins, he has to be nicer to everyone there. Ellie wins because my girl knows her coffee too.

So I could just have her working part-time as a barista while also interning at MassKen just to get extra money to pay off student loans. So it would fit your question, and allow me to create a different version of Ellie and Ethan and introduce them in my Red Carpet Diaries universe where I've always wondered how they'd fit in!!!

So all this to say, I like it! If I ever finish the coffee shop AU, this version of Ellie will be at Kenmore just to make their dynamic different!

Who made the first move? Both? I honestly don't even know. These two were playing a dangerous flirting game of pushing the other to see who would break first. They really were both into each other the moment they met.

Who wants to cuddle the other longer in the morning? Mal. He's been through a lot and truly treasures feeling safe waking up with Daenarya. Sometimes she'll tease him about loving all the attention and needing so much snuggle time. Other times she'll hold him and kiss his scars and remind him it's okay.

how would Oliva and Ellie respond if they found out a nurse was making tiktoks about their paitents? what about Ethan and Bryce?

ooo this is such an interesting ask. I'm assuming these are negative TikToks and/or ones made without the patient's consent?

Olivia would be so upset and would be genuinely hurt. She would confront the person and tell them to stop and express her disappointment. She would also report them because her patients are all children so being minors makes it even worse. She is like a mama bear and overprotective of each and everyone of her patients.

That being said, Olivia's patients may ask her to participate in their TikToks, especially for dances. Olivia loves dancing and always makes her patients laugh and helps them feel good about themselves. But these videos are always with the patient's and parents' consent and are positive and uplifting.

Bryce would confront the person. It would start more as a, "are you kidding me" with this kind of lighthearted disappointment. Depending on if it was a one time thing and the person felt bad or if it was reoccurring would depend on how the tone in the rest of the conversation went. He would probably make it known what the person did so everyone could be on the look out to make sure it didn't happen again. Though if it happened to one of Liv's patients he would have zero chill about it.

Ellie would be disappointed in the lack of professionalism. She would request the person stop and if they do it again she would report them. However, being the rule follower she is, she would probably report the infraction to Ethan (asking him not to say anything yet) and/or write out a report but not submit it until the incident happened again.

Ethan would report it immediately. He already dislikes social media so he has zero patience for that sort of thing.

Thank you so much for sending this. I'm happy you enjoyed One Day at a Time. I loved (and hated) writing Ellie's PTSD. I am definitely a fluff writer so angst and heartbreak was kinda new for me but it felt so authentic to the character that I had to explore it. I know that even now, Ellie still has flashbacks, she still struggles from time to time, but she has made a lot of progress. I hate how PB kinda brushed over it with such little regard to how much that trauma would affect MC and those around him/her.

For therapy/counseling:

Bryce and Olivia, no

Ethan and Ellie, yes

Thomas and Alex (HWU), no

Thomas and Alex (RCD), yes

Both Ethan and Ellie and RCD!Thomas and Alex suffered a trauma for which they went to counseling for.

Ellie really struggled (and still struggles) with PTSD from the attack in book two. It is something she lives with daily. She has overcome a lot, but she definitely needed therapy to help her get there. She attended some sessions alone, but Ethan also went with her because he was definitely effected by her near-death experience as well. They learned how to cope individually, and as a couple. They worked together to overcome the tragedy and support one another through their internal struggle. They continue going to counseling periodically to keep their relationship strong and keep communication open.

Similarly, RCD!Alex had nightmares and a great amount of fear stemming from both the intimidation and assault by Viktor as well as the stalking. While not as severe as Ellie, Alex did struggle with these events. Thomas did his best to help her through them, but Alex did go to therapy for a while. Thomas went with her (at Alex's request) so that he could learn strategies to help her when she was having flashbacks and how to help her avoid triggers since Hollywood is filled with the possibilities for similar situations to arise again. Getting Bogart definitely helped Alex and gave her some added security. She no longer goes to therapy.

If you meant solely couples therapy for just relationship issues, not anything else, then not really. I think both these pairings definitely worked on their relationship while attending therapy for other reasons, but I'm not sure they would have gone without a triggering event (if that makes sense)

Thank you again for the ask. I mentioned Ellie going to therapy in a fic or two, but I really want to explore it more because it is important to show characters as broken and needing help, because they're human too!

if any of your pairings were in an orpheus/eurydice situation, would they look back or make it out without looking?

Ooof this is so hard!

Thomas and Alex: Thomas wouldn't look back, he's disciplined enough to trust the process. Alex if she were in the situation. She would want to look back, but I think she'd be strong enough not to.

Similar to these two would be Ethan and Ellie (though Ellie would be less tempted than Alex, she's more disciplined) and Beckett and Emma.

I worry about Mal and Daenarya. I'm not sure. I think they would be so so tempted to look back. Half because they would want to be sure they're there, but half because they would want to tease each other about something or other and totally forget that they couldn't turn around. I think Daenarya would be stronger than Mal. I really really worry about Mal, especially after loosing MC for a year in Book 2. I don't want to think about it. 🙈

Bryce and Olivia, I do worry about them too, but I think they'd survive it. They just would be tempted more than the first group.

Trystan x Lilah: Trystan would be all for it. Lilah I'm still getting to know her comfort levels. I feel like at first no, but I think Trystan will be good for her so maybe?

RCD Hunt x Alex: No, they're more the sit and talk about their day, just video chat to see each other, they fall asleep together on video chat.

HWU Hunt x Alex: I think they would, once Alex teaches Thomas the wonders of technology, I think they could have some fun! They have a different (more adventurous) relationship than their RCD counterparts!
