Also just since my one jack-psychosis post made its rounds i’d love to add on these things for extra salt in the wound:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> “jack smiles, so happy to be so needed, so loved.”
-> “they’ll never want to be friends again.” [“and that’s important to you?”] “they raised me. taught me to be who i am.”

we make a lot of jokes about miguel being catholic-coded with his mexican-irish heritage and his insane dedication to the idea that to live is to suffer and to suffer is righteous. and that really is true for catholicism, but another aspect i find very interesting about miguel’s catholic-coding is that he doesn’t question the Canon.
catholicism and christianity discourage free thought. that isn’t meant to be an own on the religion, catholicism and christianity just much prefer conformity. the church teaches its disciples that their lives and their futures have already been preordained by God, and His word is final and infallible. to question Him and His teachings is pointless, bc He’s laid it out clear as day in the bible. which you don’t need to read, actually. just leave the interpreting to God and the popes and the priests, sweetie. they’ll tell you how to think.
and that’s the headspace that miguel is coming from. once the Canon is established in miguel’s mind as the end-all, be-all of dimensional stability, he wholly dedicates himself to it. from what we can see (in part one at least), after the incident in miguel’s adopted universe that caused it to completely unravel, miguel, either by choice or in ignorance, never once considers the implication of mitigating the destruction caused by an unraveling.
i want to really draw attention to my use of the word ‘implication’ here, because it’s not that miguel hasn’t thought of mitigating that damage. on the contrary, during pav’s dimensional crisis, we see that miguel has not only thought of, but assembled, a task force that — and i cannot stress this enough — can HALT the progression of dimensional breakdown. we are literally shown in the movie that miguel has already come up with a way to minimize, if not eliminate, an unraveling event.
and of course he has! because he’s a genius! just like every other spider-person, miguel is BRILLIANT. he sees a problem, and he finds a solution that will save millions of lives. because that’s what spider-people do.
but miguel is a catholic(-coded) spider-person. so that’s where the thought process ends. you don’t question what that ability to interfere means for the Canon, because the Canon is infallible. so there’s no reason to look deeper and try instead to fortify these unraveling-elimination tactics. the Canon has the last and only say. it’s a coincidence that these things can be mitigated. and it’s much easier to just follow the Canon anyway.
it’s extremely ironic, honestly. that miguel not only has the answer to the Canon question right in front of him, but was the one to solve it himself. hell, he even knew that miles’s dimension was stable despite miles himself being an “anomaly.” all of the piece of this puzzle are laying themselves out in front of him, but miguel, blinded by his relentless devotion to the Canon, refuses to see them. it’s all very funny.
honestly what i find interesting in this whole situation is that peter b parker, a jewish man, hailing from a group of people notorious for deep dives into meaning and interpretations and who mercilessly question the torah and each other, has gone along with this blind faith interpretation of the Canon for a whole year. he really was totally focused on that baby, huh?

currently declining to study for bio and am instead thinking about college au revalink where they have an apartment together because they are such Boyfriends and link is a bio major because he just Loves Nature but he's struggling with studying (can you see the self projecting😁🙏) he definitely has gifted kid burnout
meanwhile revali is a major perfectionist like if he gets below a 90 on anything he wants to start crying and tbh even a 90-95 is too low for him, don't ask me what he majors in though idk
anyways they are struggling together but link is just not having a good time and is stressing out studying so much he forgets to take care of himself so revali has to get him to remember things like eating regularly or showering or sleeping ANYWAYS i just felt like projecting onto revalink🫶
as a fellow bio major with gifted kid burnout who doesn't wanna study for bio (can you believe i still have a fucking bio lab due tomorrow. it's spring break for me rn. blasphemy.), i 'm 100% all for this projection COUNT ME IN!
link is totally a nature guy but i lowkey feel like he would make a great veterinarian 🥺 he's just a little guy who loves his silly little creatures 🥺🥺🥺 what do you think about revali going to flight school to be a pilot 😳 like i think if revali wasn't doing something viciously intense like. becoming a neurosurgeon or some shit, anything related to aviation is absolutely right up his alley. DEF agree with him being a perfectionist. a 99.9% will make revali lose his shit, he'll be in his professor's office hours taking up the whole time just arguing why he deserves a 103%
link brings home strays all the time and gives revali the 🥺 eyes, and revali is very weak for both link and a cute little creature, but he has to be the voice of reason since they realistically cannot take care of a pet full-time with how demanding school is on both of them. so to compromise, they foster the strays and take care of them with the local vet until they can be taken to a shelter for adoption. link gets hands-on experience which is good for his vet program but he also cries his eyes out every time they send off one of the animals because those are his babies 🥺 link with his strays is that one tiktok that's like BITCH I'M A MOTHER!!!!! NO DRAMA!!!!!
to deal with link's post-foster pet depression, zelda brings her puppy terrako to their apartment to let link cry and play with him, while revali just rolls his eyes (and secretly is looking into surrounding shelters and pet stores to find the perfect pet for the both of them once school isn't so intense for them anymore 🥺)
do you think they have study dates at a cafe or do they stay home and rot in the living room studying together? because i love the idea of study dates but if link is a bio major looking to become a vet and reval is an aviation student trying to become a pilot, these bitches must be stressed out of their mind i think. the week before finals week they're camping out in the living room and haven't slept in their bedroom for a couple days, the room is covered in papers and diagrams and books and pens and markers and flashcards and sticky notes. revali's hair is a mess which is a rare occasion, and it's held up by one of those hair claw clips, he has his glasses on, meanwhile link is lying facedown on the floor having his third breakdown of the hour. in this au i'm thinking that revali is a decent enough cook but neither of them have the energy or the time to go to the grocery store or kitchen to cook an actual meal, so they're living off of takeout and instant noodles for those two weeks. but revali definitely is the one in charge of time maintenance and prying link's ipad out of his hands to make him take a shower or drink water
it all pays off in the end because they both get high grades on their finals!!! link and revali cheer but immediately go to their bed, curl up around each other and sleep for the rest of the weekend because these bitches are exhausted 😭 hashtag ScholarLife

I planned for this be a drawn thing (and still do. Filthy wip in keep reading). But it's taken longer than expected and I have no idea how I'm gonna get the text down or whatever. Keep reading to save screen space.
Species: Armarouge (premature evolution)
Age: 4-5 years old / juvenile.
DOB: 2019-2020. Yet to be determined.
Siblings: A young Ceruledge adopted him (he adores her).
Diet: Omnivore.
Nickname: None was supplied by former trainer.
------------------------------------------------------------
Observations:
A surrender to us by his former trainer. His birthplace was suspected to be a mill. Records show he was in fact a wild Pokémon caught in the Paldea region. The date recorded was just a few days after a record breaking storm had struck Paldea. An examination showed he was missing his pauldrons but was otherwise healthy. Speculation was he was too young to evolve but others noted how the infant Ceruledge had hers. When asked about it he shys away. This has lead to staff thinking they were destroyed in an Pokémon battle the young Armarouge wasn't prepared for (some staff hope that's the case). He is a friendly little Pokemon. He even let me pet him despite us having only just met on the day of his wellbeing being assigned to me. He even tries to pet myself and others back.
Sociable as he is, I've found him finding somewhere quiet to sit when his social battery is low. When it's nearly spent is when he starts to show signs of agitation. Even his sister Ceruledge will be given a warning, not that she understands he wants to be alone given she's a baby. Thankfully even when in this state he's gentle. Just picking her up and moving her out of the area rather than snapping at her. Thankfully this is a very rare occurrence and even then he usually has enough social battery for the infant Ceruledge.
Additional note: though his pokeball clearly upsets him he refuses to let go of it. Staff moved it when cleaning one day and he was distraught when he couldn't find it. That said he equally refuses to go inside said pokeball.
With a friendly disposition, he has little trouble making friends with others Pokémon and human alike, much like his sister. If he finds any food such as fruit or berries, he'll share them. Even his favourites! You could just go up to him and ask and he'll happily give you his meal! One of his favourite meals is a BLT sandwich.
When he's settled down or is comfortable in your company, you may find him napping somewhere. If you have a lit fireplace odds are he's lying in front of it getting a warm. But he will move from the fireplace if asked (even if the other just wanted his spot) and he'll find somewhere else that's cosy.
Known moves:
Although he does as asked such as set the table, go and play, keep still for the nurse at the pokemon centre and so on, he refuses to perform any attacks and asking him to do any clearly stresses and upsets him. He wants to do as asked but can't or rather won't for some reason. It's not me lacking badges. I suspect he's still loyal towards his former trainer and that's the cause of the conflict.
It is likely he knows moves you'd expect from a Charcadet. Ember, Astonish, Clear smog etc. there was speculation he may even know Amor cannon but cannot perform the technique due to lacking his pauldrons.
I'm gonna have to see if there's are any smithies who may be able to help make the young Pokemon knight a pair.

You and Tony were panting, sweat glistening from your naked bodies as you separated to both lay on your backs in bed.
“That was it,” Tony stated, so confidently. “I know it.”
“Tony,” you scolded, “you and I both know it takes about 24 hours before any of your sperm might fertilize my egg.”
Tony turned to face you. “Yes, but I just have this feeling about this time.”
“Just… don’t get your hopes up. Okay? I don’t want this to break your heart.”
“Honey.” Tony moved closer to you, placing a gentle kiss on your lips. “I’m only worried about your heart. But trust me, this is going to work.”
“If you say so…”
“I know so. And if it will make you feel better, then how about another round? Just in case.” His hand began to trail down your abdomen.
“I guess it wouldn’t hurt.” You smiled.
~~~
When your period showed up three weeks later, you knew you weren’t pregnant. But you didn’t know how to tell Tony. It had been so hopeful and it hadn’t been the first time he’d been that hopeful. You two had been trying to get pregnant for about a year now, with nothing to show for it.
Tony was supposed to be at work, well upstairs in the lab. So you thought that you were safe with sobbing into yourself on the toilet. That’s why you practically fell into the toilet when a knock sounded at the bathroom door.
“Honey?” Tony called through the door. “Are you okay? I heard crying.”
“I’m—“ you cut yourself off, needing to clear your throat. “I’m fine, Tony. Just go back to work.”
“That’s not what FRIDAY told me. Come on, babe. Let me in.”
You clenched your eyes shut as you sucked your lips in. One of your arms wrapped around your middle as the other one covered your mouth. Tears slipped through your closed eyes.
“I’m worry,” Tony whispered against the door. “Baby…”
“Just…” you struggled to speak between holding back sobs and breathing. “I need some time.”
Tony sighed. “Okay. Well, I’m not leaving. I’m staying right now here until you need me.” You could hear him sliding down the door to sit on the floor. “Right here.”
Tony’s heart was breaking as he heard your cries from behind the door. FRIDAY was instructed to warn Tony every time you weren’t doing well. So he had rushed down here as soon as his AI had informed him that you were crying in the bathroom. He had an idea of what it could possibly be, making him want to cry as well.
Tony and you wanted a child. But Tony wanted you to have his child. He wanted to pamper you and prepare and stress and do all that new dad stuff. And he wanted you to experience pregnancy. Though, he was slowly coming to the conclusion that just being a parent, watching you be a mother, would be enough. Even if it was through adoption. Tony knew you would both love any child that you welcomed into your lives.
“Tony,” your tired voice croaked.
He knew immediately that you were ready for him. He hurried to his feet and opened the door. He swore you could hear his heart shatter, just as he could hear his own. You were huddled up on the toilet lid, blood shot eyes and tear stained cheeks. There was tampons and pads lining the wall, a sign of what was happening.
“Come here, honey,” Tony said as he scooped you up in his arms. “I’ve got you.”
“I’m so sorry,” you cried.
He began to carry you over to your bed. “Why are you sorry? It’s just a period. It happens.”
“You were just so sure.”
“I know, but you did try and warn me.” He gently set you down on the bed and started to tuck you in.
“I’m so sorry that I’ve failed you.”
“Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah.” Tony cupped your cheeks and forced you to look at him. “You did not fail me.”
“But my body—“
“Decided that now was not the time to house a child in it, and that’s fine. You cannot control that.”
“I just—“
“Please stop trying to justify those negative thoughts. They’re wrong.”
“That’s what I tell you.”
“Maybe it’s cause you’re wise beyond your years.”
“And you’re cheesy.”
“Only for you.” He then kissed you tenderly, trying to pour all of his thoughts and emotions into you. “Now, you’re staying right here. I’ll go grab your favorite snacks, the medication, and your heating pad.”
“I love you.”
“I know.”
~~~
Tony had hoped that with his constant reassuring and support, you would stop believing that not getting pregnant was all your fault. Unfortunately though, it wasn’t helping and you were slowly crawling into yourself more and more. It was getting to the point and you wouldn’t let him touch you but the occasional kiss on the lips. He knew that you needed time to come to grips and question your body. He understood.
You two had been trying for a baby for a little over a year now, with nothing to show for it. Multiple doctors couldn’t even figure out why you couldn’t get pregnant. They ran tests on both of you, and you were both healthy. They just encouraged you two to keep trying, that it would happen eventually. Tony just wished that more of this could fall on him.
Coming to see if you’d like to go out for dinner, Tony exited the elevator to see you out on the balcony. You were looking over the city, trying to clear your clouded mind. Tony quickly came out to join you. He silently debated on whether or not to come up behind you and wrap his arms around you. He gave in to his want, no, his need to hold you. Tony came up and wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into him.
“Tony,” you whined, trying to free yourself. “Let go.”
“No,” he replied firmly. “I will not let go of this beautiful body of yours.”
“It’s not beautiful… I can’t even do the one thing that women were made to do.”
Tony spun you around so fast, you were worried you might throw up. He trapped you between his arms and the balcony’s railing. “Women weren’t solely made to give birth to children. You were made to put men in their place and be so much stronger than us. Yes, women have the amazing gift of childbirth, but there are other ways for you to nurture children.”
“But I want to be pregnant… I want that pregnancy glow… but my stupid body—“
He cut you off with a passionate kiss. “Your wonderful body.” He began leaving wet kisses around your neck. “And I’m about to show you just how wonderful your body is.”
~~~
Tony spent the whole night treating you right in the bedroom. He wasn’t about to let you forget just how amazing your body is. You two were cuddled together in a pile of sweating limbs. Tony was running a hand down your back as your fingers traced his arc reactor scar.
“Tones?” You whispered.
“Yes, dear?” He replied, giving you his full attention.
“What if… what if we adopted?”
“Adopted?”
“Yeah. I thought that since we both want to be parents and my stupid body—“
“Your wonderfully, amazing, beautiful body.”
You sighed. “And my body seems to not like the idea of getting pregnant, we could start looking into adoption.”
“I think that’s a wonderful idea, sweetheart.” He held a kiss to the top of your head. “Absolutely wonderful.” He looked at you with all the love in the world, or so you believed. “I love you.” He kissed you gently.
“I love you too.” Another kiss began, getting more and more heated. “Why don’t we—“
“Try one more time?”
You giggled. “I was going to say celebrate our decision. But that works too.”
~~~
Five weeks later, Tony left on a mission with the whole team. It was a week after the team had left when you found yourself shooting out of bed in the morning and rushing to the toilet. You almost didn’t make it over it in time, but thankfully you did.
“FRI— FRI— DAY,” you called for the AI in between throwing up. “What’s—happening?”
“Well, it looks that you’re about three weeks late.”
“Late?” You questioned as you leaned back against the wall. You wiped off your mouth, feeling slightly better. “Like, my period is late?”
“Correct, ma’am. I would suggest that you try a pregnancy test.”
“Are you serious?”
“I never joke around with you. I could also analyze a blood sample if you’d like.”
“Umm… yeah... okay. Just don’t— don’t tell Tony. No matter what the results are, I need to tell him myself.”
“Of course, ma’am. I have everything set up in the lab when you’re ready.”
~~~
Waiting for the results was awful. You paced in front of your large bed, trying to not chew off your whole thumb nail. What were you going to do if it came out positive? You couldn’t just call Tony in the middle of a mission. He would insist on coming straight home and who knew how long he was still needed for. But then what if it was negative? What if you just had a slight flu? Was it worth telling Tony of your suspicions? Especially since you two were planning on getting the adoption rolling when he returned. You could just sweep this under the rug if it didn’t come out good, Tony would never have to know.
“Excuse me, ma’am,” FRIDAY interrupted your thoughts. You stopped still in your tracks. “The results have come in.”
You took a few deep breaths, trying to calm your turning stomach. “Hold up, FRI,” you said as you rushed to the toilet. You bent over it, dry heaving. When nothing came up, you sat back against the wall. “Okay…. Okay… go ahead and tell me. Just get it over with, I can handle the bad news. I can.”
“Unfortunately, I have no bad news for you.”
“Wh—what?”
“You’re pregnant.”
“I….” Tears filled your eyes. “I’m… I’m pregnant.” You let out a watery laugh. “I’m pregnant.”
“Congratulations. Would you like to call Tony?”
“No. I want to tell him in person… but, actually, do call him. I want to know when he’ll be home.”
“I’m calling him for you right now.”
“Honey? Is something wrong?” Tony concerned voice filled the room.
“No,” you shook your head with a slight smile, your hand going to cradle your stomach. “Nothing’s wrong. I just miss you. When do you think you’ll be home?”
“According to Rogers, it could take up to another week. I’m sorry, baby. I’ve been really missing you too. I’ll try to get home as soon as possible.”
“Okay…”
“I’ll make sure that FRIDAY informs you when we’re on our way. Okay?”
“Yeah. I love you.”
“I love you more, sweetheart.”
“Call’s ended,” FRIDAY informed you.
“Okay, FRI, we need to get to work.”
~~~
“Nice work out there, Stark,” Steve said as the two exited the quinjet together. “Sorry to keep you from Y/N for so long.”
“Yeah, you owe us,” Tony responded.
“You two have any plans tonight?”
“Not that I know of.” He glanced around the hanger as they walk toward the entrance to the rest of the compound. “Since she’s not here waiting, I suspect she’s asleep. She’s been… she’s been struggling lately.”
“Yeah, Nat warned me. I’m sorry that she’s not been able to get pregnant. But I did hear that you’re planning on adopting. That’s good. You two deserve to be parents. Besides, it would be fun having a little one running around.”
“Why? Uncle Steve need help catching a date?”
Steve laughed. “That, I guess, and it would just bring some newfound happiness to everyone. Especially you two.”
“Thanks, Rogers. I’m going to head up now. I’ve been apart from my woman for too long now.” Tony entered the elevator alone.
“Goodnight, Stark.”
“Goodnight.”
The elevator doors closed and Tony couldn’t help but smile. He was so excited to see you again. He had missed you so much and he had been so worried about you falling back into the rabbit hole of hating your body. When he exited the elevator, he came to a sudden stop. The living room and kitchen were completely dark except for the flickering of candles around the rooms. You were standing there in the center, dressed in his favorite dress of yours.
“What’s all this?” He asked as he walked towards you.
“I missed you,” you responded. “And I thought you deserved to come home to a warm welcome.”
“Sweetheart,” he took your hands, “coming home to you is enough.” He pulled you in for a sweet kiss. “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too.” You pulled away making him pout. “I also have something for you.” You turned and grabbed the gift bag that was sitting on the coffee table. “Here,” you gave it to Tony, “open it.”
He looked at you skeptically. “What’s in it?”
“Just open it, babe,” you laughed.
He began to do as he was told. “I swear, if this is a Captain America t-shirt…” Tony pulled the shirt out and held it up. “What…” He turned it around so that the front was facing you, tears in his eyes. The shirt had an Iron Man suit holding the hand of a little Iron Man suit. Underneath it read: #1 IronDad. “Is this… does this mean… Y/N. Are you pregnant?”
“Yes,” you nodded. Tears slipped down your cheeks as you grinned. “I’m pregnant.”
“Oh my—“ Tony dropped the shirt and pulled you in for a passionate kiss. “I’m going to be a father.” You nodded. “You’re going to be a mother.” He kissed you again. “I love you so much.” His hand went down to you stomach. “And I love you so much too, my little bean."

GOJOTWINS!AU || greatest gift
request: I have a request for the twin-sided-with-Geto AU if you're up for it (as angsty or as fluffy as you like)? As a last request, Y/N twin asks Satoru to look after his niece/nephew. A child that looks just like Geto but with his sister's eyes.
note: hmmm....I was more concerned between if I want to make it angsty or make it fluffy, since this idea was definitely interesting for me to explore. However! This definitely gave me some creative juices! The entire ‘jjk men as parents’ trope is honestly so cute >< I wish Gege showed more scenes of Geto with his two ‘daughters’ - domestic!Geto sounds so fucking hot 😣😣 but writing this also makes me want to write something like ‘the adventures of uncle gojo and his niece’
warning: spoilers for anime-only fans! proceed with caution
pronouns: she/her

“You need to finish your veggies, Rei-chan. You know the rules.”
The young girl that sat before Gojo pouts softly, crossing her tiny arms over her chest as she turns her puppy eyes up at the older man. Gojo looks down at the pouting girl, his own oceanic blue eyes were shining behind the darkly tinted sunglasses as the young girl - Rei, as she was named - tried to use her puppy eyes to get out form eating all the ‘tiny trees’ that sat on her bear themed child plate.
From the outside you would assume that Gojo was probably just babysitting the toddler; the man is wearing an odd uniform in Japanese norms, but it is still certain that he is in school. And from the looks of things, he is definitely a young adult - no older than a college student, despite how good looking he was. And they were right to some extend; the young girl, besides the eyes, does not look like Gojo Satoru at all.
But Gojo and Rei definitely shared a unique relationship than your average ‘babysitter and child’ one. “Come on, bunny - you gotta eat all the greens if you wanna grow big and strong like your daddy.”
At the mention of her father, Rei perked up immediately; yet immediately deflated at the sight of the broccoli that was held out to her by Gojo once more. Rei lets out a soft whine and a huff, yet she reluctantly leaned forward before she ate the broccoli; making a face at the taste of it on her tongue. “Not a fan, huh?”
“The tiny tree taste bad..,” Rei mumbles quietly as she finishes chewing her mouthful of broccoli, pulling another face that has Gojo chuckling quietly as he grabbed a napkin from the napkin dispenser to clean Rei’s chubby cheeks. “I know they do, bunny. But you gotta eat them to make sure you grow strong, right? You wanna be a sorcerer like me one day, don’t you?”
Geto Rei was not your average child; born with Gojo blood flowing through her veins, she is the ‘love child’ of Gojo Y/N and Geto Suguru; Gojo Satoru’s twin sister and her boyfriend. When Geto first went ‘rogue’ and kill the village he was sent to, Y/N had found out that she was pregnant with his child. She was sure it was his, since Y/N and him have been dating for about a year up to this point. There was no denying who the father was. And that terrified her; she was worried that the elders will do something bad to the child that was growing inside of her.
Even if she is one of the strongest sorcerers of the century, she is still a woman first - and women who are to have kids outside of marriage, and with someone who isn’t approved by the elders of the clan, are just asking for trouble. And whilst she was sure she can take on whatever the elders will put her through, the thought of her unborn child having to deal with the leftover anger from her parents’ actions, to be brought up in a world where others would shun the little bean, was too much to bear.
So, even with Gojo’s pleas for her to stay, Y/N had packed up and left without a trace for others to find her. Yet Gojo was certain she had upped and left so she can spend her ‘future’ with her boyfriend, even if she knows that their love story will only end in tragedy. So you couldn’t believe Gojo’s shock when he opened the door of his apartment one random night, having been roused from his slumber in the early mornings; only to find a baby sleeping peacefully in blankets placed at his doorstep.
Pinned to the front of the baby’s blanket was a simple letter addressed to him, and immediately Gojo knew what the content of it was. There was no denying who the young baby, who Gojo found out was a baby girl, was either. Because in the morning, when the little youngster finally opened her eyes, were a pair of his very own Six Eyes staring up at him curiously as a thick and fluffy head of black hair surrounding her.
“Dear God...wait until ma and pa find out about this...”
That is how Gojo found himself today; third year college student quietly coaxing the young toddler to eat her veggies as they waited at a café for another two kids he had ‘adopted’ to get off from preschool. He was honestly questioning everything he is doing with his life right now. “Since you’ve been a good girl...maybe later, when ‘Gumi-nee and ‘Miki-nii come over, we order some ice cream~”
Just the mention of the frozen treat had the little girl perking up in excitement, causing Gojo to laugh as he gently rests a hand on her head; already being able to sense the waves of excitement that is coming from Rei. “But in exchange, you have to finish your veggies,” Gojo continues as he gestures towards the child plate before Rei; which held a few pieces of veggies from the small salad that came with her meal.
So that was how the Fushiguros found the two in the café, having grabbed some lunch whilst they waited for the two to get off from school. Rei, who looked over when the café doors were pushed open, perked up at the sight of the familiar duo walking towards them. Gojo just grinned and picked her out of her babychair before he sets her down on the ground, watching in amusement as Rei ran towards Megumi and Tsumiki on her chubby little feet.
Megumi, who was her target today, paused before he bends down to catch her as she stumbled into him; scowling over at the smirking Gojo who was still seated at the table. “Don’t worry Megumi-kun. I was 100% sure that you were going to catch her~,” Gojo called back teasingly, his grin only widening at Megumi’s annoyance as the young shikigami user made his way towards the table where Gojo was seated at once more. “Turn that frown upside down, Megumi-kun - try to be like Tsumiki-chan more, she’s super cute.”
Megumi just rolled his eyes as he settles down in a free seat, letting Rei cuddle up into the younger male whilst Tsumiki giggles at Gojo; who had reached over to playfully tug at her cheek. Soon though Gojo gestures for the two kids to order what they want for lunch before they go home; a habit of theirs now since Gojo cannot for the life of him cook.
The one time he tried cooking...well...lets just say the kids have since begged for him to never attempt cooking ever again.
Hence why, after a brief lunch and a brief visit to the grocery store, the four of them made their way back towards Gojo’s home. He had long since moved out from the apartment that he rented in the beginning, understanding how important it is for Megumi and Tsumiki to have their own private spaces to retire to after a long they. Because after all that they’ve been through and are going to be going through in the future as people touched by the jujutsu world, they are still growing kids first. So Gojo had invested in a nice home close that is close to the college, yet not too far away from the city where the kids might feel cut off from their friends on the outside.
“Alright, time to get you into the shower,” Gojo grins at a giggling Rei, who he had set in her baby seat as he puts away the groceries; Tsumiki had offered to make some katsudon for everyone for dinner tonight. Hence the brief stop at the grocery store. Since it was still little early into the afternoon, the two Fushiguro children retired in their rooms to unwind and catch up with homework before preparing for diner. So for now, Gojo and Rei were alone once more. “Gotta make sure you’re cleaned up before your nap~”
Rei just giggles and smiles over at the older man, reaching her arms up so the man can carefully picked her up as he made his way towards his bedroom. It was a normal routine for him to give Rei a shower after coming home from the outside, worried that she was going to be carrying dirt and germs into her bed before she is laid down for her nap. So Gojo carefully filled the baby tub he set out inside his shower stall before he carefully filled it with warm water and bubbles; making sure the water was warm enough before he carefully strips Rei and sets her in the warm bath.
Many people have questioned him before as to why he was taking care of her like she was his own child. Even though she is her niece, her parents are Curse Users; they defected from the jujutsu world in order to live in a life of crime. Or more so Y/N leaving behind her family and friends for something as feeble as her ‘love’ for Geto Suguru. Many people call her delusional, stupid, naïve - no one can picture just what was it that made her choose between the life on the run with Geto, for the luxurious life that the Gojo estate has, and still would, provide to her. Even after Rei was born.
However, to Gojo, he just knew she saw it differently.
If there was one person who he can rely on completely, without having to fear of judgement, it was definitely Y/N. She was his twin sister, someone who ‘cursed’ with the same power as he was, and knows all the struggles and stress that comes with being ‘the strongest’. When she had found out she was pregnant, she was terrified - running into his room in the middle of the night with the positive pregnancy test in hand. She was scared shitless with the entire idea that she was going to be a teen mum alone.
And no matter how much Gojo had tried to reassure her that if Geto was here, he would be ecstatic with the idea that he was going to be a father, Y/N was inconsolable. She was terrified at the idea that not only would the baby will not have a father, they might even have to suffer through the stigma of having a parent that was a murderer in their world. Y/N was also going through it as well; it was clear as day that Geto was the last thing that was truly keeping Y/N sane. Although Gojo and her had a special bond, it was like Geto was that extra support that made sure both of the Gojo siblings were still staying strong.
Maybe it was the stress of the idea that she was going to be called out by the elders of the clan, or her parents might be disappointed in her, or maybe the idea that she was going to be a teen parent itself officially cracked her. Gojo, to this day, isn’t 100% sure as to why Y/N chose to do what she did; chose to stay with Geto even though she knows that it will bring more stigma onto her daughter after she was born.
At one point even Gojo had admitted to himself that she was naïve and selfish for choosing what she did instead of facing the brief music that will come from the adults in her life.
But as he playfully makes animal noises at a giggling Rei, Gojo hopes that Y/N rest easy knowing how many people loves Rei. How Shoko, Mei Mei, and even Utahime had essentially dubbed themselves as Rei’s godmothers and spoil her even more than he does; and that is saying a lot. Sure, the elders were not as welcoming to Rei, even more so because she was not carry the Gojo name on top of the fact that her parents were not married when they had her, were definitely not helping her case.
However, Rei was special. She was born her with her mother and uncle’s Six Eyes; and it was because of this that the elders have yet to officially cut Rei off from her surviving biological family.
Whilst he was thinking back about everything, Gojo’s body went on autopilot as he bathe, dried, and dressed Rei like usual. He kept her occupied to the best of his abilities, but from the trip they had earlier today plus the grocery store trip, Rei was already nodding off when Gojo was blow drying her soft black hair. This caused him to smile as he carefully gathered the little girl in his arms, letting her curl up against his chest as he made his way towards his messy study desk.
Even if he is a sorcerer and taking care of 3 young kids, he still needs to do mundane things like homework before he can fully graduate from Jujutsu Tech. And as much as he wants to just cuddle Rei and sleep as well - he’s been putting off this essay for about 3 days now. And its due date is tomorrow; so he has to get cracking on this essay if he wants to be eligible for the final exam this year.
“I wish I can live as carefree as you do, Rei-chan,” Gojo mumbles quietly to the young girl in his arms, glancing down at her sleeping features as she rests her ear above his heart. It was quite jarring honestly, since the little girl looked like one of his best friends, Geto Suguru. A man who he sometimes wish late into the night that he had made a better effort into reaching out to when they are at their lowest.
Gojo knew that the death of Riko had effected all of them in their own ways; and although Gojo had asked Geto a few times if he was alright, he just wished he tried harder. Maybe if he wasn’t so full of himself, that he tried to spot more of the chances in Geto’s behaviour - just maybe, he might still be here right now. He would be the one who witnessed Rei saying her first words (it was ‘dog’ because of Megumi’s Divine Dogs that he lets out at home), to her standing up on her own for the first time, to her first steps.
Gojo felt guilty for being the one to witness all of her firsts when her parents should be the one to do that.
“I hope you know just how much your parents love you, bunny,” Gojo mumbles quietly to the sleeping toddler in his arms as he cuddles her closer, his somber eyes watching her tiny back as it rose and fell with each one of her deep breaths. “I know you don’t really understand things now, but I hope you do not grow up resenting your parents for giving you away before you even have a chance to know them. Your mother is a brave woman; she knew what she had to do in order to ensure that you’d get to live a fair and comfortable life.”
Only silence greeted Gojo after his soft admission, yet all that did was make Gojo let out a brief chuckle through his nose. “She may call me a dumbass, but she trusted me enough to know that there was no way I am going to let you fend for yourself in this cruel world,” He hums as he reaches up to stroke her chubby cheek ever so slightly, a soft and fond smile tugging against the corner of his lips at how Rei just cuddled closer to him in her sleep.
“Because at the end of the day, you’re the greatest gift that has ever been gifted to all of us.”

part 2 of the LJY-adopted-by-LQR fic (now also on ao3)
-
“So, did I knock you up before I went to war or something?” Nie Mingjue asked. “Because I feel like you should’ve mentioned it if that was the case. Possibly in a letter.”
Lan Xichen was so tired that it took him a solid minute to parse what was wrong with that sentence and how to respond, and it was not by following his first instinct to apologize that he should’ve written better letters.
“Stop making fun of me,” he said instead, groping towards some measure of dignity.
Sadly, dignity was in very short supply when you were taking care of babies. Multiple babies. Well, one baby and one toddler, which was somehow worse?
Lan Xichen was pretty sure they’d figured out how to time their crying off each other.
“I would never,” Nie Mingjue said, like a liar, and then he picked up little Jingyi and – Lan Xichen simply cannot find another way to put it – shook him, in a manner not unlike testing a melon for freshness.
For some reason, this made Lan Jingyi stop crying and start making snuffling little giggles instead.
“How did you do that?” Lan Xichen asked, eyes wide.
“Do what?” Nie Mingjue tucked the baby into the crook of his arm and scooped up some food off the table, offering it to him, and Lan Jingy actually ate it. “Xichen, are you feeling all right?”
“Shhh!” Lan Xichen hissed, eyes fixed on the baby, which was neither spitting up everything nor wailing as if his heart was broken. “No unnecessary noise during meals.”
Nie Mingjue snorted in amusement. “Sure,” he said amiably, in the tone Lan Xichen had long ago learned meant ‘nice rules you’ve got there, it’d be an awful shame if someone found a loophole in them’. “This isn’t a meal, though; it’s just a snack.”
Lan Xichen eyed the still-not-crying Lan Jingyi and decided that now was not the time for a spirited debate on the virtues of discipline and fulfilling the merits rather than the word of a rule.
“Where’s monster number one gone?” Nie Mingjue asked abruptly. “He must be very good at hiding, because I looked away for a blink of an eye and he was gone.”
Lan Xichen’s eyes slowly dropped down to where a cloth-covered lump was not-so-sneakily edging towards Nie Mingjue’s foot.
Nie Mingjue was one of the foremost front line fighters of their generation, and possibly the previous one as well. His physical ability was matched only by his incredibly keen senses.
There was no way he was not aware of the lump.
“It’s a real shame, too,” Nie Mingjue continued. “I was planning on doing a test of how far you can throw children, but I think monster two here’s a bit too small to make the test worthwhile. But I guess it just wasn’t meant to be –”
You can’t throw children, Lan Xichen was about to say, except Lan Sizhui was tearing off the tablecloth and jumping up in excitement, shouting, “Here! Here! I’m here! I’m big enough! You can throw me!”
“Why does he want to be thrown,” Lan Xichen murmured, bewildered. He’d never wanted to be thrown around as a child. Had he?
In fairness, he wasn’t sure. No one had ever offered.
Apparently, though, Lan Sizhui did very much want to be thrown around, and Lan Jingyi even condescended to allow Lan Xichen to hold him while he watched.
“Higher! Higher!” Lan Sizhui shouted.
“Really? Is this high enough?” Nie Mingjue held him up at eye level.
“Higher!”
“Like this?” Above his head.
“Higher!”
“You sure?”
“Yes!”
“All right. How about –” Baxia slithered out from her place by the door, zipping over until she was right in front of Nie Mingjue, allowing him to step onto her like a stair, and then zipping upwards to about hip-height, lifting Nie Mingjue and Lan Sizhui with her. They very nearly hit a tree branch with their heads. “– this?”
Lan Sizhui shrieked with laughter.
“It’s too early to introduce them to flying,” Lan Xichen objected, because it was. “Mingjue-xiong…”
Nie Mingjue hopped down with a laugh. “All right, one last toss,” he told Lan Sizhui. “Then you nap. Okay?”
“Okay!” Lan Sizhui, who had never once willingly succumbed to naptime in the entirety of the time that Lan Xichen had known him, promised earnestly.
Back into the pile of soft grass he went, giggling the entire time, and amazingly enough he really did fall asleep afterwards. Lan Jingyi, too, had fallen asleep at some point.
“I’ve decided that your brother needs more experience running a sect,” Lan Xichen told Nie Mingjue, who raised his eyebrows. “Starting immediately. I promise to allow you to leave when Jingyi is, oh, shall we say five years old..?”
You could reason with a five year old.
Nie Mingjue laughed.
It was a type of laugh that suggested that he thought Lan Xichen was making a joke. This was incorrect.
“You’d be amazed at how serious I am,” Lan Xichen told him threateningly, “I’m sect leader here, this is my territory, I can have you arrested any time –” but by that point Nie Mingjue was already bundling him off to bed, too, combing out his hair and plying him with snacks and –
This was not helping his argument that Lan Xichen should be allowing him to leave rather than keep him trapped in the Cloud Recesses as a babysitter-slash-love-slave.
Well, he wouldn’t really do that, of course. He’d let him go. Eventually.
It’d probably be good for Nie Mingjue’s stress levels, honestly.
“Seriously, though, how did you do that?” he asked, his head on Nie Mingjue’s lap. “They didn’t cry once.”
“I’m good with kids,” Nie Mingjue said, his fingers digging into Lan Xichen’s scalp in just the right way. “Now can you explain to me how exactly you ended up with them? Two, no less?”
Lan Xichen groaned and covered his eyes with a hand. “Sizhui’s Wangji’s,” he explained. “Not biologically, but he’s put his name down in the family register under his own. But, you know…”
“I know.”
Lan Xichen appreciated that he didn’t need to go into it. The doctors had estimated that Lan Wangji would regain full mobility within three years, so that was the period the elders had mandated for his so-called ‘seclusion’, but with Lan Wangji being locked away like that – even with visitors, even though he was trying his hardest to care for the child from where he was – meant that someone had to care for the child’s day-to-day life until his brother was ready to resume the role.
“Jingyi is a cousin, I think,” he continued. “His parents are dead, and uncle accepted guardianship for him…I think he’s going to adopt him, actually.”
“Then why is he with you?”
“I volunteered.”
“Xichen, I say this with a full heart of affection and tremendous respect for your capabilities,” Nie Mingjue said. “But why in the world would you go and do a stupid thing like that?”
Lan Xichen sighed. The worst part was, he couldn’t even argue that it wasn’t stupid – he was, quite obviously, terrible with children.
“Uncle’s still injured from the war,” he admitted. In fact, his injury was probably even older than the war, dating as far back as the burning of the Cloud Recesses – his uncle had never been much of a fighter, his impressive cultivation strength stemming almost entirely from gentler arts like music and learning and meditation, but when his home and his family and his students were at risk, he’d fought, while Lan Xichen ran. Not just fought; he’d kept fighting long past the point that his body allowed. It only made sense for the bill to need to be paid. “He had a recurrence of an old complaint, not long ago; he started coughing up blood. The doctors insisted that he try to avoid anything that might cause him  stress.”
“Stress. Like, say, a rowdy infant?”
“Exactly like a rowdy infant,” Lan Xichen agreed, glad that Nie Mingjue did not mention that what had happened with Lan Wangji was also likely a source of stress. At least the two of them had slowly started to repair their relationship recently – the heartbreak would kill their uncle sooner than anything else, and Lan Xichen might be weak, but he really couldn’t tolerate the idea of suffering any more loss.
And also, if Lan Wangji could see his way to forgiving their uncle, he might one day agree to forgive Lan Xichen, too.
“I see. So you ended up with the little one, too.”
“Yes. And they hate me.” Nie Mingjue coughed a little. “No, don’t deny it. They clearly hate me. They always cry and spit and yell -”
“They’re children, Xichen,” Nie Mingjue said. “Traumatized children. They do that.”
Lan Xichen didn’t need to open his eyes to know that Nie Mingjue was frowning in memory of pain long past. Lan Xichen remembered, with painful clarity, how young Nie Huaisang had been when Lao Nie had died, how badly he had taken it.
There’d been a lot of crying and vomiting and yelling there as well.
“You’re good with kids,” Lan Xichen said instead of commenting, trading delicacy for delicacy; he would not touch Nie Mingjue’s still-bleeding wounds just as Nie Mingjue avoided his own. “Very good.”
“Well, I like to think so, anyway.”
They remained in blissful, comfortable silence for a while.
“How would it have even worked?” Lan Xichen finally asked. His eyes were still closed, Nie Mingjue’s fingers running through his hair; he never wanted to move again.
“Hmm?”
“If you knocked me up before you went to war. I mean, they’re not even the same age.”
“Well, one of them’s from the affair, obviously.”
“I’m sorry, am I cheating on you now?” Lan Xichen opened an eye and pinned Nie Mingjue with a fierce look that instructed his lover to reconsider.
“Of course not,” Nie Mingjue said, mock-solemnly. His eyes were dancing. “You were so distraught after receiving incorrect news of my untimely demise that you conducted a ghost marriage with my spirit, and then went and had a child to continue my name.”
“…they’re both surnamed Lan.”
“So what? Are you saying I’m not good enough to marry into your sect, is that it?”
Lan Xichen’s cheeks were hurting from trying not to laugh. “I wouldn’t dream of implying such a thing.”
“There you go, then.”
“Can I ask why I felt the need to have a child to continue your name if I had one already?”
“…well, fuck,” Nie Mingjue said. “I’ve got nothing.”
Lan Xichen burst out laughing.

MC Who Does Not Fear Death x OM! Demon Brothers
Or maiming, or apparently any other consequences. You’ve walked into this situation with absolutely no filter and no fear. Time to tear down every structure of Devildom society.
Tumblr media
Lucifer
You look at him with a withering stare when he tries to intimidate you into behaving.
“I was summoned out of my trashy apartment to this place, where literally anyone could snap me like a twig on accident. I’m just working on the assumption that I’m already dead.”
He sternly looks at you. “You’re under my protection during your time here. No harm will come to you.”
You snort derisively, which visibly irritates him. “Don’t worry about it. I won’t come back to haunt you if it happens.”
As you continue through your life in Devildom he keeps calling you out for meddling and all that, like usual, and he HATES that you literally *do not care* when he threatens you.
Like HE knows that he wouldn’t hurt Diavolo’s transfer student but YOU are supposed to be AFRAID of him dammit.
His frustration at this ends up turning into a form of respect. You’re about the only person who will stand up to him, and tbh like you’re so fucking fragile but you’ll yell at him all day? That takes guts. Annoying guts. But you’ve got guts.
But also STOP IT. He has enough stress in his life and now he’s constantly terrified that you’ve decided it’s a great idea to adopt a baby balrog
Which you did once. He’s just afraid that “Flamin Hot Cheeto” is going to come back since you somehow managed to imprint on it.
despite the fact that the BABY could easily tear your arms off on accident
Not to mention he gets the flack for EVERY SINGLE ONE of these following stories. You stress him out so much. Please. Please, stop.
He’s almost to the point of begging. The Avatar of Pride is three steps away from either locking you away for the rest of the year or begging on his knees for you to calm down.
 But you know you’d find a way out if he locked you up so no worries. It’ll be a good challenge.
Mammon
“Well you WON’T be dead because it’s my job to protect you! Are you doubting the Great Mammon?!”
Stupid human. Yeah, you’re fragile and weak, but that’s why HE’S your bodyguard now, and there’s no way in hell (lol) that he would let you die on his watch.
Lucifer would kill him.
You welcome the challenge, and he thinks it’s funny at first but quickly becomes a flustered mother hen.
“NO, we are NOT going out to Madam Scream’s at 3am! Do ya know what kinda CREEPS are out there at 3am?!”
And you sneak out the fucking window.
He has had more heart attacks in the past week than he has had in the last 100 years of life.
He starts agreeing to your ridiculous adventures JUST because then he can actually keep an eye on you.
He adores the chaos of the laugh that bursts from you every time you narrowly escape death.
He HATES how often you have to NARROWLY ESCAPE DEATH. So he will never tell you.
He almost doesn’t have time for his own shenanigans anymore, because all his time is taken up by trying to make sure you stay alive.
And you’ve figured out that if you turn *any* of your ideas into a money-making one, he will join you whole-heartedly.
So you bribe him because what’s money to you anymore anyway?
Leviathan
I mean he doesn’t leave his room much, so tbh he probably just gets texts from you that make him want to scream.
‘hey uh levi say if someone were to hypothetically be stuck in a succubus’ devil basement to become an unwilling sacrifice to asmo what would that person, hypothetically, do?’
‘probably die’ is usually all he sends back
You always come back, because he always sends a text to the other brothers. In that case Asmo came to rescue you himself and scold the succubus.
You become the friend that he makes funny throwing-shade reddit posts about. (Devvit? Devil reddit? Eh??)
‘Levi so this has nothing to do with anything but is there a cure for a dangerously potent ‘always win at rock-paper-scissors' curse? Asking for a friend’
‘Friend is being held hostage tho so maybe be quick about a response’
He didn’t even know that kind of curse existed. None of them did. What the fuck did you do.
How did you get taken captive by playing rock paper scissors?
He doesn’t know. Nobody does. He expects the play-by-play so he can recommend it as a new anime to his favorite producers.
Somehow your chaotic plans end up with stories almost as great as TSL.
Beelzebub
He physically carries you around.
He’s like “fuck this you can’t get into trouble if I’m holding you.”
If Beel’s on MC watching duty, he’s almost the only one who is successful, just because you physically cannot get away.
But at the same time, he is very easily bribed.
So yes, he’ll go to Madam Scream’s with you at 3am. Sounds like fun.
But he is very protective after losing someone he cares about (who you remind him of so much….) so he keeps you close when you’re out and about too.
If you start getting into a fight with some other demon he literally just takes the fight for you and wins with no trouble at all.
You like having Beel with you.
Especially finding street festivals! You’re in a whole new world and there’s a MILLION things to try. Beel is more than happy to try them with you.
But that leads to arguments about whether deadly creatures to humans are still deadly when dead.
“No, you can’t eat that it’s on fire. I know even small fires hurt humans. I’ll eat it for you.”
“That hot sauce makes every demon I know cry. You really shouldn’t buy a bottle. Please. No, don’t try it. No, that’s too much for one-- oh. Oh no.”
He forgives you as long as you don’t actually get hurt and you give him your leftovers.
Asmodeus
“If I get wrinkles because of you I promise you will never hear the end of it. I will curse you forever.”
He swears on every single one of his lovers that you have started giving him grey hairs.
GREY HAIRS, MC.
Why can’t you just settle down and let them all take care of you? You don’t have to prove anything to the other demons!
But you will. You’re living in Devildom now, and by everything unholy, you are going to live that life to its fullest extent.
He was thrilled at first when you were all for joining him at his nightclubs and parties. Now he hides every party’s date from you.
That time you almost threw yourself off a balcony to try and emulate a very drunk demon’s newest dance move.
“I need to stay TRENDY, Asmo!! I’ll be fine!!”
Ever since learning Demonus doesn’t affect humans you have challenged every single stuck-up tough boy to a drinking contest.
And every single time you win, Asmo has had to *narrowly* save you from being killed by said demon.
And you just say “he deserved it” every time.
And like, yeah okay, he probably did but YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO DIE.
Somehow, you manage to out-party Asmo.
dON’T TELL THE OTHERS but he lives for the times when you practically fall asleep on his shoulder while coming home from a rager. You may not get drunk, but when you’re sleepy, you’re so affectionate and something in his heart melts.
Satan
At first, Satan was all for the rebellious “life life with no restraints” thought process you explained to him.
I mean, he didn’t like the assumption that he and his brothers couldn’t control themselves to not accidentally kill you, but also… fair.
But he didn’t realize that this mindset followed through for EVERY demon in ANY place.
Including RAD, where old and wizened demons were *really* not used to being contradicted
Which led to you “accidentally insulting” your 5000 year old Human Studies professor by giving them a pop quiz on current memes (which they failed).
And left Satan as the one who had to make sure that said professor didn’t kill you.
And the thing is, this keeps happening.
You’ve written all over the school’s library books, pointing out every error.
You *continue* to argue with the demons who threaten to kill you when you say silly things like “No, Solomon did not learn his sorcery at Hogwarts because Hogwarts isn’t REAL.”
(Solomon, meanwhile, refutes you vehemently and seems to grow three inches taller every time you glare at him.)
Satan assures you that he values knowledge and truth and all that, but could you maybe find a less dangerous way to push it?
No can do, Satan, because you already had plans with Mammon to use a curse that writes the history of the actual Sorceric Academy that Solomon attended like 400 years all over the desks in Human Studies. It’s activated by anyone saying “Hogwarts”.
No, no, Satan, it’s brilliant, because you can’t do magic. It can’t be you who did it.
Satan, no don’t tell Lucifer.
I thought you hated him. Satan, wait.
You are the only person in the history of ever who convinces him to come to Lucifer for intervention. You wear that badge with pride and also deep, deep, bitter sadness.
Belphegor
Like, through the plot your willingness to be a thorn in anyone’s side just to get more information really works for Belphie.
He’s like all I gotta do is ask? Sweet. Yeah. Go, human.
But then when he’s all big and threatening and “im gonna kill you” and you just kind of look at him and nod like “yeah, this checks out.”
Frankly, that’s rude, MC.
And then he keeps threatening to kill you and it doesn’t even PHASE you like. You just keep listening to him rant and going “OH i think i get it now”
He liked that you were always looking for more information when he was the one pushing you around, but now?
No. Human, he is going to KILL you here, STOP ASKING QUESTIONS.
And then you do the time-travel bit, and see that he *literally has killed you in one timeline* and you just like
Shrug it off and keep talking about Lilith???????
Tbh what probably stopped him from doing it again is just that you’re fucking insane, MC
“MC, you literally just saw yourself dead in Mammon’s arms”
You wave your hand vaguely in his direction and say, “Yeah okay, but can we talk about the lack of communication in this household because it is tearing this family apart.”
What the fuck MC
When he’s back to normal, tbh he loves that side of you. He loves getting into shit when he’s not sleeping. He will 100% encourage you and be there to make sure that you *don’t* actually die again.
He’s the only one who doesn’t actually try to stop you. Who knew he was so into chaos.
But if you try to drag him to a plan when he should be sleeping he will be like Beel and literally just hold you down while he naps dammit. You brought this on yourself. He needs sleep.

Steve Rogers x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 1500 words
Warnings: Reader cannot get pregnant
Summary: Steve reacting to the news that his s.o can’t have kids after really wanting to start a family
——————————————————————————————————
Steve Rogers was an All-American man from a different time.
He was raised with very sturdy morals and ideals, and because of that, he knew exactly what kind of life he would have. It was never even a question in his mind.
Even after being Captain America, those things had never really changed all that much.
In fact, they only got stronger when he met you.
After Peggy, Steve didn't think much about falling in love or getting married. However, you came into his life and just switched everything he'd believed all around.
You were the kind of woman that he wanted to raise a family with. The kind of woman that he was dying to give a tiny house in the country with a white picket fence surrounding it.
You were the kind of gal his mama would have been glad to meet, and that was more than enough for Steve to start shopping for rings and picking out baby names.
He had his plan and with you by his side, it was all coming together. Nothing could have made him rethink that.
...Or so he thought.
You had been having some health concerns lately, and when you decided you couldn't put it off anymore, you went to the doctor.
It took several miserable hours of getting poked and prodded over and over again, but eventually they figured out what was wrong.
Though, the side effects of your diagnosis ended up being the most troubling.
While what you were going through wasn't terminal, it certainly was going to change your life forever. During your visit, your doctor informed you that would never be able to bear children.
It was a simple fact, something that you had likely been unable to do all your life, but it was enough to shatter your heart into a million pieces.
In your line of work, you had admittedly never really given children much thought, but that wasn't because you didn't want them. It was just because you had other things on your mind.
However, hearing that you wouldn't have that option at all changed that everything for you. You wanted to be able to make that decision for yourself and your own body had robbed you of that.
It wasn't fair.
It was an impossible thing for anyone to deal with. Having to come to terms with that, even internally, was just too much,
Though, it only got worse when it hit you that you'd have to explain the entire situation to Steve. As your partner, it was something you'd have to share with him eventually and you were sure he'd be broken-hearted as well.
He had always talked so fondly about having children in the future, from what they'd look like to how they would act but you couldn't give him that now.
No matter how much you wanted to, it physically wasn't in the cards for you, the doctor had made that very clear.
There were just so many unanswered questions and it made you want to be sick on your drive home from the office.
Would Steve even want to stay with you after finding out the news? Would this be some kind of deal breaker for him?
You weren't sure.
Honestly, the only thing you were sure of was the fact that you were terrified of how he would react when he found out.
You were scared, but you knew that you'd have to tell him eventually. It wasn't exactly something you could work around.
In some of your past relationships, it may have been a conversation for a later day but Steve had been talking about children since you met.
At first it was a lot to take in, as it would have been for any modern woman, but considering the fact that your life was far from typically in the first place, you were quick to let that go.
What more could you expect when you got into a relationship with a ninety year old superhero. It was a shock to you that he didn't have children already, to be completely honest.
Now though, you didn't know if he'd ever get that chance, at least, not if he wanted to be with you.
Thinking of it that way, you had more reason to believe that Steve would leave you over this than reasons to think he'd stay.
It was less than comforting to think of it that way, and only increased how aggressively you were pressing down on your gas petal.
In any case though, you had more than enough time on your way home to overthink how the conversation would go. For better or worse, tonight was the night.
Putting it off wouldn't do anything for you.
~
Steve knew there was something wrong immediately.
As soon as you came through the door, your anguish filed in behind you, filling the space entirely. So much so, in fact, that had you and Steve been entirely strangers, he still would have picked up on it.
However, knowing that something was wrong didn't mean that he could pinpoint exactly what that was. Just that he could tell you had something on your mind, did not mean he had any other clues.
The only thing he knew was that you'd gone to the doctor today, and while he had not been able to accompany you today, he panicked as soon as that realization hit him. If it had something to do with that, anything could go wrong.
Your health wasn't something to be messed with, of course.
"Hey, are you okay? What happened?" Steve asked, immediately pulling out a chair for you, before sitting down across from you in his own. It was a sweet gesture, one that was oddly well placed all things considered, but didn't make you feel better.
Frankly, you nearly clasped into the chair, feeling the weight of the words on your mind without being quite sure how to share them. It would have been so much easier with good news, or if you had no news at all.
...But knowing that wasn't going to change anything.
So, after sitting in silence for what felt like a million years, you sighed. "The doctor told me that I can't have children today"
The words left your lips quickly, before you could torture yourself more with waiting. You had no way to process it, or to explain yourself, but getting it out there was what you'd been stressing out about this entire time.
Though, now that it was out, you didn't feel any more relieved than before. If anything, there was a new pressure present now that you weren't prepared to deal with.
"I understand if you don't want to be with me anymore, I know how important kids are to you" you whispered,
When Steve said nothing, you decided that his silence was a sign that he was trying to find the words to dump you without being too upfront or aggressive. The worst part, by far though, was the fact that you couldn't even blame him for wanting to.
It wasn't what you wanted, but you knew that it wasn't something you could fight if he just couldn't come to terms with it.
However, as soon as you said that, Steve seemed to snap out of what he was going through. "No, that isn't it. I mean, they are important to me but they aren't everything" he started, moving to change his posture from where his arms had been folded, to reach out to grab your hands in his own.
"I want to have kids some day, sure, but that isn't going to mean anything without you" he shrugged, tears pricking in your eyes at that. You had been holding it in all this time, trying to be strong, but at that moment, you realized something you hadn't thought of before.
You realized that you weren't alone.
Steve had been here all this time, and while you were convinced he was going to leave you as soon as he heard the news, that wasn't even what he wanted to do. In fact, before you mentioned it, you weren't even sure if he'd thought about it at all.
"You're sure?" you sniffled, wiping away the pools of tears that had settled at the base of your eyes, that were beginning to burn. Of course he was, and while Steve had no idea what you were going to do, you had options.
Medicine had advanced quite a bit since he'd been in the ice and he knew that there was quite a bit that could be done, and if that wasn't ideal for you, adoption was always there too. There was nothing wrong with anything like that either.
"Of course, it's you and me kid, no matter what" he grinned, leaning forward to place a kiss on your forehead. It brought a smile to your own face, though you only felt slightly better about it. It had gone much better than you assumed it would this morning.
After all, Steve was right. It was always going to be you and him, even when you did decide to start a family of your own, in whatever avenue you chose.

Hawks w/ fem!reader who’s struggling to conceive
Request: If you're still accepting bnha requests, I was hoping you can write one for Hawks and his s/o (defs can be gender neutral, trans, etc.). I've become attached to the kiddos you have written for them and I'm wondering, what if they had trouble conceiving? From IVF to surrogacy, not everyone has an easy time making kids. Whatever route they take is up to you (whatever fits best), but I think it would be a sweet moment where they dont think they can ever have kids then BAM! Suddenly, twins. - @sykandron
I’ve been reading some hc from other fandoms *cough* Haikyuu *cough* and I felt that it was about time to tackle this ask. Since I’m a 17 year old toddler you would assume that I know nothing about this. But I study biology and that doesn’t make this any easier bc I don’t know a single thing about this topic. So I did my research and I tried my best. Hope you like it. Love yaa. 💖💖💖
warnings: triggering content, trouble conceiving, some depressive thoughts.
Tumblr media
-Keigo and you have been together since high school and he married you last year.
-Even though he’s a pro hero which is a very stressful and time consuming job, it doesn’t take him much time before he wants to start a family.
-You are in love that’s for sure so a person made form your love is not hard to imagine but you are beyond concerned.
-Keigo doesn’t have much time for himself and as much as you don’t mind not seeing him for long amounts of time but a child needs to see their father.
-And you don’t believe that you can raise a child on your own.
-Your relationship has been built on trust and communication, so you sit down and talk everything through him.
-If he’s being honest he has been concerned about the time he will get to spend with his child as well because he’s number 2....and that’s a handful.
-So you made an agreement.
-You would make a schedule that Keigo would have to follow unless something urgent came up and he would try to minimize his time spent at work.
-You would give this schedule a try for a month and if he could keep it up you would begin to try for a baby.
-Surprisingly he made it work and had to leave for an emergency only four times.
-So you got to baby making and you went at it for months.
-When you got no results even after trying the “best” positions and eating specific foods that would make you more fertile, you started getting discouraged.
-Keigo suggested going to the doctor to check if something was wrong, with both of you.
-After your appointment you had to wait for some days before you could get your results back.
-And boy if they weren’t disappointing.
-Turns out that you both had problems of your own, Keigo not having a strong enough seed and you having an overly hostile environment so conceiving would be a challenge.
-To say your were devastated was an understatement.
-You closed yourself off and for the first time in your relationship, there was no communication.
-Keigo tried talking to you, tried to pull you out of your own thoughts, but to no avail.
-Your brain was working against you and it showed.
-You wouldn’t eat, you slept longer and became sloppy in the workplace.
-He would find you bawling your eyes out in the bathroom and then coming out with a hollow look.
-It was killing him as much as it was killing you.
-So he did some research.
-And when I say some I mean that he went to like 15 doctors and bought 50+ books about the issue and he came up with around 10 solutions to your problem.
-Of course the last two on the list were the ones you wanted to avoid, adoption and sperm donation, not that you minded adopting but you wanted a small Keigo to be honest and the idea of donation was off the table.
-You felt very uncomfortable with the idea.
-So after he talked to you and convinced you to try what he found, you agreed to try for a year.
-If nothing came of it you would adopt.
-And that’s how it all started.
-Vitamins and special pills, doctor appointments and hormonal treatments.
-Nothing seemed to work and you were staring to get disappointed.
-It was nearing the end of the deadline you had set when you started throwing up in the morning.
-Your appetite changed and everything smelled awful, your feelings were all over the place and you couldn’t seem to control your tears.
-Keigo was the logical one for once and took you to the doctor.
-When he came inside the room with the results of your tests with a smile so wide and bright that it blinded you, you knew something was up.
- “I’m happy to announce that you made it! You are pregnant dear.”
-You swear that the whole clinic heard your squeals.
-Keigo went full dad mode even though it would be some time before the baby could actually be seen on a sonogram.
-He changed his work schedule even more, staying home longer and minimizing his patrols.
-Sure he was the number 2 hero but his baby is his top priority and you cannot change my mind.
-When you got your first sonogram and saw them, Keigo had been called in for an emergency and try as he might he couldn’t avoid it.
-You had to push him out of the clinic because he wouldn’t leave.
- “The public is in danger you dumb bird!”
- “I AM NOT MISSING MY CHILD!”
-What in the world??
-You got home before him and you waited patiently, sonogram in hand and two champagne glasses one for actual champagne and one for some apple juice.
-The moment he stepped through the door he rushed to you and would’ve tackled you if you weren’t pregnant.
- “Are they healthy? Is everything alright? I don’t like that smile you’ve got. Is it the baby or because I ate your Doritos, I swear I’m going to buy you more!”
- “YOU ATE MY DORITOS????”
-When you raised your hands in the air he saw the pictures you were holding and he focused on that and that alone.
-You followed his gaze and giggled, patting the space next to you and pecking him on the cheek.
-He looked at the images in front of him and....was confused beyond belief.
-Is..is that a baby? It looks like a shadow. Is it a shadow? Are all babies shadows? Shadow babies....
-Seeing the look on his face you let a hearty laugh before grabbing his hands and making them into fists.
-You brought them together and traced one of them with one finger while your other hand was tracing one shadow on the sonogram.
- “That’s one baby and that’s another baby.”
-He froze, looking at his fists with his brows furrowed until it hit him.
-Twins.
-He was having twins.
-All this hard work for a baby and he had been blessed with two.
-He looked at you then, tears forming in the corners of his eyes as a smile made its way on his face.
-He hugged you tightly, his tears wetting his your shirt and a string of ‘thank you’s and ‘I love you’s spilling from his mouth.
-He was truly happy with his family.
-Just him, you and your two nuggies against the world.
BONUS:
- “Weak sperm my ass I got you pregnant twice in one go.”
- “It doesn’t work that way you dumb KFC meal.”
- “Chicken nugget juniors disagree with you. Ain’t that right my little chicks??”

Part 2 of Aithusa as a Human Child
Part 1 Part 3 Part 4
Arthur makes a point from now on to ask about Aithusa and to see her when he has the chance
Besides, it gives him a chance to see more of Merlin, since the man barely has enough time to chat with Arthur between chores, Gaius, and Aithusa
And Merlin is ecstatic that Arthur’s been seeing her more often, even joining Gwen and Morgana or the knights when babysitting duty is on
A few months later, Arthur realizes he hasn’t been forcing himself to see Aithusa, he genuinely cannot wait to see her at the end of his day
(He also cannot wait to hang out with Merlin and make the man smile, but that’s irrelevant)
He even ends up babysitting her a few times, when Merlin’s off fighting bad guys helping the ill and injured in town
(The first time he does this, he spends nearly thirty minutes staring at the baby doing absolutely nothing, because what is he supposed to do? Dance a jig? ((Don’t worry, he figures it out eventually)))
A few months later, Aithusa is nearing her first birthday
(Well, it’s the day they found her, everyone except Gaius and Merlin thinks she was a few weeks old when they got her)
Arthur decides there should be a celebration, since so many servants love Aithusa, and she’s practically a celebrity as Merlin rushes around with her strapped to his chest
The council rejects the idea, saying that she’s only an adopted daughter of a lowly servant, not enough to warrant a celebration
Arthur gets pissed off at his council’s dismissal and, out of petty and spite (and quite a bit of love), decides to make Aithusa his heir (the council is shocked and tries to stop him, but as Gaius quickly points out, Arthur is king)
When Merlin finds out, he has to physically restrain himself from ripping Arthur’s hair out
“You made Aithusa your heir so you could throw her a birthday party?!?!”
“Yes?”
“You absolute idiotic clotpole—“
Yet, multiple benefits result from this, including Aithusa’s promotion in title, negating the fear of Arthur not having an heir, providing a nurse to help with Merlin’s duties, and starting a path for Aithusa to receive a royal education
And, of course, a birthday party, which celebrates Aithusa’s birth and her new rank as the Crown Princess of Camelot
Merlin may or may not sulk for part of it, until Gaius slaps some sense into him and points out this is exactly what he’d want for his daughter
Merlin is pleasantly shocked at the realization that 1) he loves Aithusa as a daughter, 2) he is happy for her, and 3) he’s just being petty at Arthur for not discussing it beforehand
And yeah, he lets himself celebrate (to Arthur’s and the knight’s joy) and lets the nurse take her to bed that night
Arthur makes a sweet confession to the crowd about Aithusa as his new heir and daughter, but toasts to her true father, Merlin
(Merlin does not cry, he does not, no—)
He does let himself get a tadbit drunk, which results in him and Arthur both drunkenly stumbling down the hall to the king’s room
Arthur confesses about loving Aithusa like his own child and how the heir appointment was more than a petty jab at his council
Merlin confesses that Aithusa loves Arthur like a father, and he knows that Arthur will not only be a great king, but also a great dad
(Arthur does not cry, he does not drunkenly sob into Merlin’s shoulder in the middle of the hall until Merlin shoves him into his chambers, he does not—)
But Arthur does confess to the stress of being king, the fear of failure, and the overwhelming burden on his shoulders as a leader and father. Nothing he hasn’t discussed with Merlin before, but it’s an added effect when he’s crying into Merlin’s shirt and can barely form the words
It hasn’t helped that Merlin leaving him for Aithusa struck him to the core, but he doesn’t dare confess that—not even now
Merlin, in all his glory, calms Arthur down and gets him to bed, then sits with him on the covers and gently soothes him
Right before Arthur falls asleep, he grabs Merlin’s wrist and asks him to stay, which Merlin promises to
Merlin manages to shuck off his boots before passing out on the blankets
He wakes up once and is struck by how quiet it is without Aithusa. He ends up sneaking down to her room and watching over her crib for a minute—only a minute, it wasn’t that long, despite what the nurse says
The next morning, Arthur wakes up and finds himself in an empty room, but breakfast is waiting for him on the table. And Arthur—being Arthur—jumped to the conclusion that he’d chased Merlin away and would be forever alone and he was going to be a horrible leader and father—
Thankfully, before he started panicking, Merlin pops in and explains he dropped Aithusa off with Gwen and Morgana, he told the council that Arthur is ill after a long night of feasting and won’t be joining them, there’s a hangover draught for him on the table, and now they’re gonna sit down and talk about everything Arthur said the night before
Arthur almost (almost) wishes Merlin hadn’t shown up, because the talking bit terrifies him
But they end up having a really good, long discussion about Arthur’s self-worth and his reign. Merlin reassures Arthur’s choices so far, and points out his successes as maintaining peace and stability, even after Uther’s death.
They discuss the council—a frustrating debate for the past year—and Merlin helps him finalize who to keep and who to replace, since many of the men do not adequately represent the people nor are they willing to work with Arthur (most have been at his neck since he took the throne)
Merlin suggests adding Morgana and some knights to the table, which Arthur jumps at the chance. But when Arthur suggests Merlin join the council, Merlin refuses, saying that Gwaine or Gwen could easily represent someone from the town better
Arthur is baffled at Merlin’s refusal until Merlin shyly admits to not wanting to lose his position and—more specifically—his connection with Arthur
Arthur is conflicted over Merlin’s refusal. He wants Merlin to receive the respect he deserves, but doesn’t want to force him into something he doesn’t want, yet knows that the only way for Merlin to accept the job is if Arthur pushes him, but then if Merlin joins council he won’t be Arthur’s manservant and neither of them can have that
Eventually, the conversation swings to what Arthur said about being Aithusa’s father and not living up to the role
“You’re her father, Merlin, I wouldn’t take that from you.”
“Why can’t Aithusa have two fathers? She’s got two mothers, she’s got several uncles and and a grandfather and many adoring fans, what’s another family member to the mix?”
“But I can’t live up to—“
“Yes, yes you will—not because you’re a good king—because you’re a good man. You can and will take care of her, and if she doesn’t view you as a father now, she’ll most certainly view you as a father in a year. No—a month. She loves you, we all love you, we know you can do this.”
(Arthur does NOT cry again, he would never do that—)
And then—just to add more feelings—Merlin admits that leaving Arthur when he did for Aithusa was wrong—even if it felt justified. He knows Arthur was struggling and apologizes for what he did
Arthur makes Merlin shut up pretty quickly and apologizes for disregarding Aithusa in the beginning, especially for not seeing how important she is to Merlin and the others and not taking the time to learn about her himself
(Merlin does NOT CRY—)
After that heartfelt bundle of tears, the men go check on Gwen and Morgs and the baby, where they’re playing some game with some horses Gwen sewed
When they enter the room, Aithusa looks up and goes, “Er-in!” And immediately runs to Merlin
It takes them all a second to realize she’s saying a rather botched version of Merlin’s name
Merlin just about smiles his face off with glee, and the others aren’t much better

Random Shigaraki Headcanons
This boi. This grubby boi. I love him so much but at the same time he would probably literally dust me so... (oof this one kinda dragged on and on... lol)
Literally has no idea about real-life relationship dynamics outside of what he’s observed in his own parents, in Sensei, and in Kurogiri. All he thinks in the beginning is that people who claim to love you will stand by and let you be hurt, that villains took care of him better than any damn hero, and that he can only truly rely on himself. (And Sensei.)
It takes a loooooooong time of interacting with other people to break himself out of this mindset, and even then, sometimes it comes creeping back if bad things happen.
Getting into canon territory with this one, but really, really, reeeeeeeeally hates heroes because they didn’t even bother to help him when he was going through a whole mental breakdown. Literally one of the only reasons he hates them so much. I know this is pretty much canon, but I doubt he would ever grasp Stain’s ideology of ‘maybe some are good’ because in his eyes, not even the underground pro heroes even bothered to see if he was okay. Remember the scene from the manga with the old lady when he was a child? Yeah. There were bound to be heroes he bumped into, even off-duty ones, and nobody even gave him another glance.
Has extremely bad abandonment issues. If he likes you, he’s gonna want to keep you because he didn’t really have anything nice to call his own while growing up, and Sensei kept him fairly isolated so he literally tolerates nobody else other than him and Kurogiri at first. Reacts horribly when his friends want to break off the friendship. Goes through a whole depressive episode for a while, his old insecurities pop back up, and he really thinks he’s worse than trash and not worth anyone’s time or attention for a while. Prime time for Sensei to further twist his mind.
On that same note, if you’re dating, for the love of everything still good in this world do not break his heart. He will never forgive you. Literally will go to the grave before he forgives you for doing what you did (whether it be cheating on him or completely dropping him like a hot potato). Although this might also extend to little issues that make him feel like you don’t love him enough, he’ll forgive you if you show him plenty of attention and apologize for whatever he was upset over. If you cannot remain patient through his toxic mindsets, it’s best not to get into a relationship in the first place with him if you want to still remain friends afterward, because breaking it off means instant heartbreak.
Anyway! Back to happier, funnier hcs!!
The whole embodiment of the “Wears black in summer because I look good and am willing to suffer” vine. Will not give up his comfy black shirt and sweats for anything because yes, he does look good in black, and yes, he is willing to suffer. He’ll switch to a v-neck tee though. Even he’s not that masochistic.
Really prone to dry skin. I know that’s canon, but just... this poor man can’t keep moisturized to save his own life. Constantly has to apply a special moisturizer that’s specifically made for ultra-sensitive skin and has no scents whatsoever.
Will gripe about having to spend so much money on ointment and moisturizer for both him and Dabi. It’s one of the very few things they bond over, other than having a shitty father and pushover family... and their hatred of All Might.
Shigaraki 100% would be Dabi’s alibi if he actually managed to kill Endeavor. When it comes to the shitty dad club, he’s a fuckin’ ride-or-die.
Kinda sensitive over the fact that both he and Midoriya have the same sort of red shoes, but he loves his pair too much to throw them out. Purposefully aims for Midoriya’s shoes every single time they meet each other on the off chance that they get ruined enough for him to get different shoes, unknowing that he literally can’t just... get differently-colored shoes due to him being originally Quirkless (yes, The Shoes™ theory strikes again)
Literally never forgets a single thing about people he cares about. He’s the type of person who will remember every single thing you tell him about yourself, and especially birthdays. While he doesn’t exactly show his affection very loudly, he would be the type of person who tell you “happy birthday” on the day of as soon as he first sees you, and would treat you a little nicer all day that day.
This boy just has the biggest, scarred heart for his ‘good crowd’. I cannot stress enough just how much like Midoriya he could’ve turned out if he hadn’t been abandoned by society. This mf would give the green bean a run for his motherfuckin money.
“I really just hate the world and everything in it... except for you, maybe I could make an exception for you because you’re nice to me and I appreciate your company too much”
Even though I hc quite a few League members to be like cats when it comes to affection, Shigaraki’s spirit animal is a cat. Likes to lounge about in off-moments, slow to affection and very quick to remember exactly how people treat him, yet if he likes you he shows affection quietly enough that it’s not obvious at first. Like “oh, you’re in the same room as me. It’s not like I missed you or anything, me sitting right next to you at the bar when it’s totally empty means nothing. The fact that I’m looking right at you when you’re talking doesn’t mean I like you.”
LOVES HUGS. If you hug him and he likes you, you’ve probably made his whole day. Depending on how things are going, probably his whole fucking week. Just please hug him, he needs positive affection so bad
Major tsun-tsun. The most tsun-tsun. Grumpy until you get to know him, and if he likes you he’ll show you in little ways: listening to your ideas more, letting you stay closer for longer, maybe getting you something like food.
AFRAID OF TOUCH. I REPEAT, AFRAID OF TOUCH. Not from anyone he likes, of course; this baby is so touch-starved that he deserves a thousand hugs. But if he likes you, he will not initiate physical affection because he’s so afraid of accidentally dusting you. The memories of his family dying (except for his father, because #FuckKotaro2k21) haunt him almost every time he dreams (and if that doesn’t, then other traumatizing events certainly do), and he absolutely would not forgive himself if he dusted his favorite League member/civilian.
Definitely likens the rest of the League to his MVPs after a while of knowing them. Knowing how he operates, it’s adorable.
Would begrudgingly let Toga play around with his hair. I can just see him sitting blank-faced, staring at the mirror as she talks about whatever while brushing and braiding it into a cute plait. He would be hesitant to undo her hard work afterward, no matter how much he grouches that it “ruins his boss vibe”.
The kind of person to go to McDonalds at 3 AM just because he was craving chicken nuggets and ranch. Yes, ranch. He’s an old-school mf who don’t got no time for no barbecue.
Gets really irritated over Toga mooning over Uraraka and Midoriya, but doesn’t stop her from talking about how much she wants to ‘be’ them. (Encourages homicide. Advises homicide. Spinner has to stop her from actually getting ready to commit homicide.)
Disgruntled™
G L O A T S about the time he took away Overhaul’s chance to use his Quirk. “Yeah, we would’ve been satisfied with Compress taking his left arm away to be petty, but then Overhaul had to be a sentient piece of dick cheese, and well, y’know I couldn’t let him get away with that”
It’s becoming a problem. The others have learnt to tune him out once he gets going. Compress just smiles under the mask when he remembers it. Nobody knows what he’s really thinking.
His damn crowning moment. His apex point. There’s no going further beyond that (until he finally defeats Midoriya and takes over Japan as the world’s most feared villain of all time).
“Shigaraki, I’mma let you finish, but AFO still holds the record for being the most infamous villain of all time! Of all time!” <-- let the boy dream okay, he’s been waiting for this moment his whole damn life
Can you tell that I’m still horribly salty over Overhaul being an ass? Because I’m still horribly salty over Overhaul being an ass
Chronic emo phase. Hears the G note and just sighs heavily
Has probably seen hentai. Doesn’t really get the appeal of high-pitched feminine screams. Probably more of a tiddy man than an ass man. Just... boobie
His first fictional crush was Aeris/Aerith. Legitimately lost his shit when she died.
Man Crush Monday is Sephiroth all the way. Especially his one-winged angel form. Wanted to cosplay him for Halloween but didn’t because the cosplay was too costly.
Will make “That’s what she said” jokes in the most deadpan voice. At least Mustard kinda snickers at them.
Probably would’ve been pretty patient with Eri. Her traumatic past certainly would’ve pitted her as a kindred spirit with him, and he would think her Quirk would be a powerful asset if used right. Probably would’ve practiced it by destroying something and then telling her to rewind it so that he can break it again.
Shigaraki, holding Eri by her armpits: “I’ve only had her for ten minutes but if anything happened to her I’d dust everyone in the room to make her feel better”
The rest of the League: “???????? Okay?????”
Legitimately holds a powerful grudge against parents who abuse or neglect their children, especially against abusive fathers. Almost as powerful as his hatred for All Might. Will actively go after someone he sees is abusive to their children and will not let them live.
Would probably adopt an orphan after killing their abusive parents. “Oh, that was your dad/mom/parent? Well guess you’re mine now. Let’s go get chicken nuggets, kid”
Might somehow rope Dabi into going abusive-parent-hunting with him during a raid. Takes great pleasure in seeing the guilty party’s horrified, pained look on their face as they slowly dissolve into a pile of ash.

With oath sworn like these
Summary: Rowan and Aelin are tired parents. Lorcan and Fenrys are to the rescue.
Ao3
Part of my Comfortember2020
XXX
Rowan startled awake as a pricing cry of a baby filled the air. Beside him, his Fireheart groaned and turned over, gently holding her stomach.
"Not again," Aelin murmured, "Mala above, the poor boy is going to cry and scream his voice away,"
Rowan murmured his agreement and was about to get up when their son's cries suddenly stopped. His wide eyes met his wife for a split second and then he was jumping out of the bed and racing toward the jointed nursery.
They had sent the nanny away. No one was supposed to be-
As he was about to open the door, a familiar wave of controlled, dark magic hit him and he sighed in relief.
He turned to his wife who was hurrying up behind him, a worried look on her face.
"It's alright," he told her, "It seems like out broody companion finally made it,"
Rowan opened the door and sure enough, Lorcan was pacing the length of the room while gently cooing at the baby in his arms. Cadyn was still softly sniffling but the attention of his uncle seemed to have done the trick. He was a lot more calmer.
"You know," said Aelin, "You could have announced yourself better. Nearly gave us a scare,"
Lorcan gave her a sheepish look, "Apologies. The storm slowed me down a bit but I promised Fenrys I would be here to train the recruits with him first thing in the morning. I was passing in front of your suite when I heard him cry. My ears are a bit more sensitive than your human guards,"
Rowan smiled at him. Lorcan might have a hard time sparing any sincere apologies but Rowan knew he meant that one. The older male had made it no secret that he adored the Whitethorn Glathynius children and he took the safety and care of their children as seriously as he took his own.
"He is at the peak of his cold," said Aelin told Lorcan, while gently stroking Cadyn's hair, "And honestly I haven't seen him this peaceful in days. I never had this much trouble with his sister,"
Rowan moved closer to his wife, gently placing a hand on her back, "It's not your fault, Love. Every child is different. And I haven't had much luck either,"
"Not to mention the two of you weren't in this much stress when you were with Evalin," said Lorcan
"Oh?" said Aelin, raining her eyebrows, bemused. Rowan's own lips quirked up in a smile
"Hmm," said Lorcan, his eyes on Cadyn and completely oblivious to their amusement, "You have all these treaties lined up and not to mention you became with child again only four months after this little one was born, and now you're five months along. Small children can pick up on moods, you know. He's probably sensing that his mama is very stressed and very tired while his papa is ready to pull his hair out,"
When he didn't get any response, Lorcan looked up to see his Queen and companion suppressing laughter.
"What?" he said, annoyed
"Pray tell us, Lord Lorcan Lochan," said Aelin, a grin on her face, "How did you come to know all this? If I didn't know better, I would say you've been taking lessons from the healers and midwives,"
"That name," He growled at her, "You are very lucky I'm holding your child right now,"
Aelin merely smirked.
"Come on, Queen," Lorcan grumbled, "You know my son and daughter are only a year apart. Who do you think walked around with Zirrek while his mother was carrying his sister,"
"I'll give you that," said Aelin, "Well, thank you for your service Lord Lorcan Lochan but we will relieve you now,"
Lorcan looked to the child and then to Aelin's outstretched arms.
"I have a better idea," he said, "Why don't you two say goodnight and I'll stay with the little one. Poor thing is probably going to want constant company,"
"We can-" started Rowan
"And probably needs it too just in case he develops a fever," continued Lorcan, talking over Rowan
"Lorcan," said Aelin with clear exasperation in her voice
"The two of you seem much too tired to be staying awake and I know you don't want to bother the nanny since you already sent her away,"
Rowan raised his eyebrows at him, "Are you sure this isn't another attempt at spending more time with and I quote 'the most adorable little thing'?"
Lorcan stared back at him with a blank face, "You have meetings in the morning too, don't you? I can function on very little sleep, you cannot,"
Aelin sighed and turned to him so they could lock their eyes together.
He's being annoying again. We never should have introduced our children to him.
A much as it pains me to admit it, he is right.
Really? He'll become even more insufferable about hogging them.
Fireheart.
He's worse than Fenrys!
After a little more back and forth, they finally turned back to Lorcan. He looked at them expectantly.
"Fine," said Aelin, "But I expect my child to be in perfect shape come morning,"
"Of course," said Lorcan, in obvious delight. He gave Cadyn over so they could say goodnight. The little boy squirmed a bit in their hold but settled back when they gave him back to Lorcan. If Rowan didn't know better, he would say Cadyn preferred the other male.
"Don't be foolish," said Lorcan
Rowan looked at him in surprise, "What?"
"I know what you're thinking, idiot," he said, "I'm just a lot warmer than you, that's all,"
Aelin snorted, "Come on, Buzzard. Uncle Lo has it handled I think,"
"Yes. Yes," said Lorcan, practically shooing them away "Go to sleep. Cadyn and I will be fine,"
Rowan shook his head as they headed back to their room. As he closed the door behind him, he heard his companion murmuring to his son.
"Did you hear that, Cadyn? You're going to spend the night with Uncle Lo. Yes, you are,"
Rowan couldn't help but smile to himself at Lorcan's, admittedly adorable, antics. If he had known that it would take children to make Lorcan more tolerable, he would have made the cadre adopt a hoard of them years ago.
xxx
Lorcan had stayed up with Cadyn the whole night, gently coddling him and giving him his draughts when necessary. Now, he stood by the window as the sun coloured the horizon, almost as beautiful as the precious little one in his arms.
"You're a beautiful little thing, you know," he said to Cadyn, "I don't know how your parent created two people as lovely as you and your sister but it happened,"
Cadyn stared at him with his Ashryver wide open ad curious. Usually, he would have answered with a little coo of his own but right now, he was silent.
"Still feeling a little weak, aren't you?" he said, "The healers are probably setting up now. We should get you checked out, hmm?"
Behind them, the door opened and Lorcan instantly recognized the scent.
"I did not expect you to be here," said Fenrys, "You didn't stay in your room?"
Lorcan turned to him, grinning at the younger male's surprise at seeing Cadyn in his arms.
"I spent the night," Lorcan said, answering the silent inquiry, "He was sick and crying, figured I would give his parents a break,"
Fenrys snorted as he came closer, "And I'm sure your intentions were entirely selfless. Absolutely nothing to do with spending time with 'the most adorable little thing', hmm?"
"You say something once," grumbled Lorcan, "And they never let it go,"
Fenrys snorted, gently stroking Cadyn's cheek. The little baby turned his head toward his other uncle, arms waving as he recognized the familiar face.
"How tired are they?"
"I really don't think they should be woken up right now, especially since they haven't gotten up themselves. Really, when was the last time Whitethorn slept in?"
Fenrys grimaced
"Their meetings," he said, "I told them they should give more responsibility to the nanny and the governess. It's what they're paid to do,"
"You can't completely blame them," said Lorcan, "They don't want to be the kind of parents that depend entirely on others to raise their children. As it is, someone is going to have to do something about those meetings now.
"Well, you're the Lord," said Fenrys
Lorcan snorted, "Yea, and then Aelin will cut my balls off for even daring to touch her schedule,"
Fenrys shrugged, "Tell her I was the one behind it,"
"Well," said Lorcan, pondering, "I suppose that could work,"
Just then Cadyn let out a small sound, the first one he had made since his crying himself out the night before.
"I think our prince agrees," murmured Fenrys, gently placing a kiss on Cadyn's head. The little boy let out a happy little squeal in answer, weakly waving his arms.
"I'm going to call Nox," said Fenrys, "The three of us will figure something out, give them a little more time,"
"Moonbeam-" Lorcan tried
"I'll get the healers for Cadyn too," Fenrys called out right before shutting the door behind him.
Lorcan sighed.
"That one still has the brain of a hyperactive child," he told Cadyn
Cadyn cooed in response.
"Of course I'm right,"
xxx
When Rowan woke up, his first thought was he hadn't woken up this refreshed in a while. His second thought was oh shit.
The rays of sunlight coming in were completely wrong. They were supposed to be up ages ago.
"Shit," he cursed out loud.
It was loud enough to wake his wife up too. It took her a few seconds to get her bearings right but once she did, her eyes widened.
"We are very late," she said, "Very very late. Why didn't anyone wake us up?"
"I don't know," said Rowan pulling clothes out of the closet, "But we need to get ready,"
Aelin nodded and turned her head toward the nursery door, "I'm going to quickly check on Cadyn,"
Rowan nodded as he put on his shirt, "I'll come too,"
They stepped through the door and stopped. Cadyn was laying on a blanket on the ground while Evalin was gently playing with his hands. Fenrys was curled around the children in wolf form and Lorcan was watching from where he was perched on the arm of the sofa. How he got his large body to balance there, Rowan would never know.
As soon as Evalin noticed them, she got up and started to run toward them.
"Mama! Papa!"
Rowan grinned down at his daughter, the sight of his child chasing away any irritation from having woken up late.
"Princess," he cried, matching her enthusiasm and scooped her up. The little girl giggled and kissed his cheek.
"I had breakfast with Fenrys and Uncle Lorcan," she said, as Aelin took her and kissed her head.
"Oh did you now?" said Aelin, "Now only if these males had woken us up on time,"
By now both Lorcan and Fenrys were standing and winced at her dangerous tone.
"Uh," started Lorcan, "We moved your meetings around. The dignitaries are watching the session we were supposed to train. The tour of the gardens has been moved to a 'sunset tour' thus your meetings will not start for another hour and...let me see...twenty-two minutes,"
"Gives some more time," said Fenrys
"Oh and I took Cadyn to the healers," continued Lorcan, "He should be fine in a couple more days. Evalin is had her breakfast but we brought some extra with yours just in case she wants to eat with you,"
"Breakfast?" asked Aelin, tone carefully measured
Lorcan's eyes flicked to Rowan's for a brief moment before going back to the queen.
"Uh, yes," he said, "We thought it would be a good idea,"
"He keeps saying 'we'," said Fenrys, mischief clear on his face, "But really he was the one who arranged it. Nox and I just nodded and followed along,"
"Really?" said Aelin, voice quiet
"Fenrys Moonbeam!" hissed Lorcan and then turned toward Aelin, "Look, you were obviously tired and I figured it wouldn't be too big of a problem and it was Fenrys's idea to begin with-"
He abruptly trailed off as Aelin took a few steps forward and wrapped her arms around him. Lorcan's expression went from comically baffled to absolutely panicked. His eyes widely bounced between Rowan and Fenrys, his whole demeanour screaming 'help me!'.
Neither of the males stepped forward to help, quite content to watch his discomfort. Fenrys had even picked up Cadyn so the little prince could watch the show too.
After a few moments, Aelin stepped back and quickly cooled her expression.
"We will blame that on the fact that I am pregnant and hormonal,"
Lorcan vigorously nodded his head, "Of course. Whatever you say,"
"Good," said Aelin and turned toward the table, "You said something about breakfast,"
Lorcan instantly took to the subject change, "It left it in the other room in a warming tray. I'll be right back,"
He stepped into a room and came back with cut-up fruit, warm eggs, bread and fresh juice. As promised there were smaller portions for Evalin.
"Here you go," he said, setting everything on the table, "You can eat, get ready and then be down for your meeting in about an hour,"
"We can take the children if you like," said Fenrys
Aelin's eyes met Rowan's for a second and then she smiled at the wolf, "No, Fernys. It's fine,"
"Alright then," said Lorcan, already backing toward the door, "I'm going to leave now,"
Rowan smiled. The older male really wasn't hiding his desire to be out of there as soon as possible. It seemed like the show of affection from Aelin had disturbed him enough to even willingly leave Evalin and Cadyn's side.
"We do have those recruits to look at," said Fenrsy, obviously taking pity on his former commander.
"Yes. Yes," said Lorcan, "The recruits. Have a good morning,"
With that, Lorcan practically ran out the door
"I think you might have broken him a little," said Rowan
"Maybe," said Aelin, amused
"I'm going to go make sure he's not too broken," said Fenrys, "You all try to relax a bit,"
"Thank you Fenrys," said Aelin
Once the young male was out of the door, Rowan sat down with Aelin and placed Cadyn in his lap.
"I have a pretty great court, don't I?" said Aelin while storing their daughter's hair.
"I suppose you do," he murmured, "I suppose you do,"

[Info updated as of Patch 5.55]
Name: Listelle Viyrel
Unsundered Name: Ephine
Gender: Female
Age: 21 in ARR, 26 in EW
Race: Raen Au Ra
Relationship: Official with an untempered Elidibus, but still lowkey that not a lot of people know of their status.
Family: Biological family is unknown. Her adoptive Miqo'te parents she keeps in contact with. The Scions of the Seventh Dawn and Elidibus are her main sources of 'support' these days.
Orientation: Bisexual / Demisexual
Nameday: 16th Sun of the 4th Umbral Moon [August 16th]
Abilities/Talents: Archery, Botany, Cooking, Able to speak multiple languages [thanks Echo], Healing, Reading.
Job: Former conjurer turned White Mage; Archer/Bard; Adventurer; A Scion of the Seventh Dawn; Botanist whenever help is needed.
Appearance description: A pale-skinned Raen Au Ra that stands at 4 fulms and 9 ilms. Listelle has dark blue, shoulder-length hair with bangs that naturally curls at the ends. Black highlights are added into the mix and always reapplied whenever they start to fade. Sometimes, puts up her hair in high side-ponytail that has a braid embedded around the back of her head. Has side bangs that hang from her face with this hairstyle as well. She has heterochromia eyes with her left being a pale blue, while her right is a bright purple. Listelle is slightly muscular, but also petite. Her body has vanilla scales peppering her body here and there. Mostly can be seen on her face; Her horns a slightly curled, but go backwards only a bit from her face. The tail she has a few spikes here and there, but it's thin. Mostly spiking at the end of it. Usually wearing a pair of reading glasses, because her eyesight isn't 100%.
Unique features (scars, tattoos, etc.): Multiple scars across her body from battles over the years. The biggest one was from the first meeting with Zenos, where he ended up nailing her in the abdomen badly. The scar is a jagged line in sideways line that covers a good portion of her middle to lower back. Listelle is very self-conscious about this particular one; Doesn't like wearing gear that shows off that part of her body.
Personal Beliefs (religious or otherwise): Fully believed in the Mothercrystal and the Twelve, but has changed since the events of SB into ShB. Mostly because of what Elidibus and Emet-Selch had told her. Still believes in a sense of one's wrongdoing will bite them in the ass later in life.
Residence: Medium house plot on the beach in Shirogane, Hingashi. Amaurot on the First.
Birthplace: Somewhere in the Black Shroud.
Dreams: When the world is done being saved, which is almost never; Wanting to have a peaceful life with Elidibus as much as possible; Hoping that one day more White Mages can be sanctioned by the Padaji; Maybe one day have children, but that's not as important.
Fears: Dying when the world needs her the most; Seeing close friends and family die in front of her again and again; Injured to the point she can't fulfill her duties as Warrior of Light; Losing any of her senses.
Introverted / Extroverted / Ambiverted (bold what applies)
How do they handle stress?: When in front of people, she tries her best not to show she's bothered. There are ways for others to know she's about to hit her limit. Listelle is known to pace around a room, fidget with her hands, and get teary-eyed, but the latter is hard to see. Only ways she can combat it is behind closed doors, or out in the wilderness when no one is around. Going out into nature to find plants or hit trees with her axe is one way. Another way is to basically beat her frustrations out in cooking or baking foodstuffs. Resting under trees when only one can hear naturalistic sounds.
What’s the state of their living quarters? (messy, clean, etc.): That depends. Usually, it's a disorganized mess. Much to Elidibus's dismay, she can usually find things easier than him. If he ever tried to clean her home, she'd yell at him on not being able to find anything. It's not completely trashed, but enough to know someone lives here. As the Warrior of Light, she doesn't get enough time to do homely chores. So, it's mostly left go for weeks at a time.
How do they handle meeting new people?: Listelle usually is kind and friendly to people she meets. Though, it depends overall on the new person (or group)'s attitude, body language, voice tone, and facial expressions. If they come off rude and negative, she is more reluctant to be as nice back. However, since she is not the diplomatic person, she usually leaves all the table-talking to her fellow Scions. Will chime in with a few words, if asked. It all depends on the situation and people involved.
When facing certain doom, what’s their outlook?: It's...questionable. Try to keep a stoic facade, but inside she would be screaming. Or, she'd probably look at like this: Why not going out with a huge bang of glory, and take her foe(s) with her? As a healer, she understands death, but is afraid to die at the wrong time. Regardless, she will tackle it the best she can.
What do they do to relax?: Reading any books she has in her shelves. Have Elidibus tell her stories of the world before it was Sundered. Cooking and baking when she has the time. Gardening, when she has time, yet again. Sitting under trees listening to nature. Go to the beach when no one is around. Stargazing with Elidibus at night.
What’s their favorite outfit?: Her 'civilian' clothes with the Azem constellation crystal as a necklace pictured blow.
Tumblr media
Traumas: It's been several over the last few years of becoming the Warrior of Light. From being a healer, she has had a hard time accepting she can't save everyone. The loss of Haurchefant hit her physically hard. He saw Listelle as herself, not just the 'hero' or a weapon to be used by the city-states. Still goes to visit his grave in Coerthas when she can. Seeing the turmoil Garlemald had done to Ala Mhigo and Doma's regions. Zenos yae Galvus, because he reminds her of herself at certain times. How they can relate, as much as the Raen wishes not to admit it. The entire events of Shadowbringers with fighting for another world to holding in the light corruption. Her aether is still a mess, even after Ardbert had joined his soul with hers. Ending Emet-Selch's life, even when she understood his plight and ideals. Having to fight and kill Elidibus; The ONE PERSON that understood and had true affection for her. Yet, he was tempered by Zodiark, so they were forced into battle. It still haunts her to this day that she may lose Elidibus forever.
About them as of current story patch: As of Patch 5.5, Listelle is struggling on what to make of seeing that being surrounded in light. Being told the Final Days is coming--which is no doubt with Fandaniel and Zenos--and the entire world is on her shoulders. This is stressing her out to no end, even with Elidibus trying to keep her calm. He is her main anchor to keep her grounded currently. With the possibility of going to Sharlayan, she is not happy. Possibly having to keep the untempered Ascian unseen, depending. For now, she is stressed and pacing about what to do.
History: Listelle was found outside the doors of a Miqo'te couple living in the Black Shroud. Only a single note saying: "I cannot care for her; I'm possibly dead by the time you read this. Her name is Listelle; Please raise her well". The baby was an Au Ra Raen female, but they had no idea if there was such a family nearby. Living mostly in an isolated area, they didn't get many visitors. Just some adventurers, botanists, conjurers, or miners that came through the area. Despite this, they willingly took the baby in. They had issues trying to concieve their own child, so Listelle would fill the void. The void of trying to have a child, which they had now.
The Raen would come to know her parents as Sizha Vebei, her mother, and Rehzih'li Vebei, her father. They lived in a small cabin in the Southern part of the Shroud. Away from settlements like Camp Tranquil and Quarrymill, they kept to themselves for the most part. They raised their adoptive child as good as any adoptive parents could. With the times that Rehzih'li would go to Gridania for work and supplies, he would ask around about Listelle's family. He usually came up empty handed as per usual. This went on for years, until the Seventh Umbral Calamity hit Eorzea.
Listelle was 16 summers old when Bahamut broke free of Dalamud to reign terror from the heavens. The Black Shroud went up in flames in several areas. Thankfully, herself and her parents survived, but lost their home to the flames. The family was devastated, but then they decided to move on to a battered up Gridania as other refugees. They would have to make a new life within the city-state.
To the five years leading up to ARR, Listelle practiced conjury within the Stillglade Fane. Her parents had taken up other odd jobs to support themselves and their daughter, so Listelle had decided to do the same. With people becoming adventurers, the Raen decided to do the same. With her aetherpool higher than most, she fit right in with the Conjurers' Guild. Even with weird looks, the Au Ra flourished under their guidance and care. She would learn how to properly harness healing magics, as well as learn to borrow from the very Elementals of the Twelveswood.
Eventually, Listelle would become more involved with restoration efforts to help Gridania. Only her efforts would soon become widespread. Widespread enough for a certain organization to recruit her to their cause..

Feelings towards others: (add or remove as relevant)
- Elidibus – Her official partner, who she had a rocky relationship for years. However, it changed much after his defeat by her hand on top of the Crystal Tower in the First. She loves the Ascian dearly and would do anything for him. He had been there as well for her during some stressful times, despite him being under Zodiark's influence. They confide in each other constantly, and is a major support pillar for Listelle.
- Emet-Selch [Hades] – Despite their brief interactions, Listelle came to understand more about the Ascians. Even if it was a hard pill to swallow, the brief details Elidibus mentioned to her started to make sense. Like pieces to the puzzle was finally coming together. She would indulge and ask him a lot of the Ascians' history, the Old World, and the like. As much as her comrades didn't like their Warrior of Light conversating with their worst enemy, she ignored them...sometimes. She was upset to end his life when they couldn't come to some sort of understanding. She still has sobbing fits over Hades' demises, because of the fact of the Azem constellation crystal she has. It was even hinted that he knew of something going on between her and the Emissary at the time. Listelle always denied it, but there was a twinkle in those golden eyes that he knew of something.
- Feo Ul - As much as Listelle appreciates them, she can't deal with their sudden mood swings. The Fae being the Fae, she can't understand the times she gets yelled at for not summoning them. Being called cruel and heartless by Feo Ul made her uneasy around the pixie. Just over the course of the Shadowbringers, she saw the good in the King of Faeries. They became the next Titania, yet, they still treated Listelle as their most precious mortal. After all, they WERE connected by a pact! Feo Ul was another pillar during her struggle to contain the light corruption within her. The constant affection and support helped keep the heroine to move forward.
- Alphinaud – Meeting him the first time made her want to rethink her choices. However, with his constant presence helping her with 'official talks', she has been grateful for him. He has come a long way and has grown. Listelle hates meetings, and groans anytime Alphinaud tells her she has to go. Because she is the hero, she has to go, despite her wild protests.
- Alisaie – It took a bit for them to grow on one another. Alisaie understands when Listelle has her moments. Moments she wants to hide, but also treats the Raen like an actual person. Not just the hero, not just the Warrior of Light. Listelle finds herself getting teased when Alisaie fawns over her, depending if she's down or upset about something. Mostly by Y'shtola though.
- Y'shtola – Their relationship is...weird at best. Y'shtola and herself have their moments when they get into arguments. However, she knows the Miqo'te woman wants the best for her. During the events of Shadowbringers, she was worried over Listelle's state of taking in the Lightwardens' corrupted aether. Y'shtola and Ryne were there for her as they journeyed to Emet-Selch's domain. Full of Light, the heroine had a hard time doing basic tasks at times. Due to this, Listelle appreciates her. Just doesn't like when she teases her about Alisaie and G'raha's constant admiration of her.
- Thancred – Saw him as a flirtatious man who she didn't want to deal with at all. He even made comments about her 'beauty' on several occasions to get under her skin. However, as the years went by, she began to learn he was a lot more. Mostly learned this during her time on the First with the others and Ryne. Just the interactions between him and Ryne made her heart ache for them both. Including when they had to go back to the Source.
- Urianger – This Elezen made her want to rip her hair out most of the time. Just the way he spoke, his mannerisms made her so confused. Had to get the other Scions to repeat what he said to her many, many times. Still not fond of his secrecy behind her back on the few times. However, she does understand it's a necessary evil, yet she hasn't completely forgiven him yet. Though, she does appreciate any vital information he can provide her.
- Tataru - Oh sweet Tataru...Listelle loves the receptionist to death. Another person who treats her like she's a normal person. However, how she manages to get things done makes Listelle double think herself. Like the time the Lalafell wanted her precise measurements to get her outfits made. Just the way Tataru brings up results is quite...scary. The heroine watches herself whenever she's around the Lalafell woman.
- Minfilia - The first person to understand she had the power of the Echo. All those years of not understanding random visions she had when she was a child. She learned more from Minfilia over the course of the years. Only to be upset when she disappeared, then find out she was connected to Hydaelyn. She looked up the Hyur and she still misses her from time to time.
- Papalymo - The duo of 'Yda' and Papalymo made her giggle at times. There were times she didn't quite understand the relationship between the two. She got along with the Lalafell fine. That is, until he sacrificed himself to contain the newly born primal at Baelsar's Wall. She wanted to stay behind and help him, but alas, was forced to flee with the others. She still thinks about him from time to time, hoping he's watching over them from afar.
- Lyse - Wasn't sure how to feel about her until after the whole incident at Baelsar's Wall. She had come to understand Lyse as someone who wanted to fight for her homeland. As they journeyed over Gyr Abania and Othard, she had come to see the woman in a new light. With how she handles matters in Ala Mhigo with Raubhan at her side, she hopes the city-state flourishes under their care.
- Gaius – Rivalry since taking on the Ultima Weapon. However, with tackling the Weapon Project, she put aside her dislike for him. In order to stop these machines of death, she would work alongside him. Listelle began to see him in a new light as the Weapons consumed most of the orphans he saved back then. With only Allie left and the Weapons done with, she hopes Gaius can find some sort of peace.
- Nero – Despite him working at the Garlond Ironworks now, she still finds him quite annoying. Though, she has to admit he has helped her on several occasions when Cid couldn't. So, she'd tolerate the man at best.
- Cid – Thankfully to the Garlean many times over. With his few interventions to save her from certain doom, to helping her take down Omega. The accomplishments and shit they've seen and done is enough for a novel or two....or several. She gets along with him fairly well.
- Haurchefant – The Elezen man from House Fortemps and Camp Dragonhead. It was no wonder the silver-haired male admired her from the start. Even wanting to rush in to stop her from taking on Shiva. Never do anything reckless again! He had said to her, which she had meekly agreed to. When fleeing from the bloody Ul'dah banquet, he was a pillar of strength during that time. With most of the Scions gone, she blamed herself for their loss. Alas, Haurchefant wouldn't have none of it. Always cheering her up with hot chocolate and word of encouragement. However, when he died in her arms saving her from a pillar of light...Listelle was devastated. She was depressed for a long time, and still is when she thinks about it. Still blames herself for his death, even if he wanted her to smile. "A smile better suits a hero"; A statement she won't forget easily.
- Aymeric – The first meeting with him..she wasn't impressed. She had heard Ishgardians were uptight and unwelcoming. As much as he sounded polite, she didn't trust him off the bat. However, as time went on, she began to realize he was much more than. Even inviting her to a dinner after Nidhogg's defeat, which she enjoyed. Just his question about what she wanted for herself? She knew not the answer to that at the time. Regardless, the Raen goes to visit him when she can.
- Estinien – This dragoon is so stiff was Listelle's first thought. She didn't exactly like him off the bat. However, the journey across Dravania opened him up to her. She did try her best to understand him, but it was hard. As the years went by, she had come to know he had paid respects to Yysale, which she appreciates. Even the time when she collapsed in the Ghimlyt Dark, trying to persuade Zenos/Elidibus to stop this madness. Estinien had rescued her, which opened her up to that he was more good than she thought. Now with him joining the Scions, more opportunities to know him better have opened.
- G’raha – Annoying scholar to deal with when looking for the damn aethersand. Made it a game, then she promptly yelled at him for making her run around more than she had to. Investigating the Crystal Tower together, she did appreciate his work. When he locked himself away in the tower, she was a bit sad to see him go. Listelle did understand why he had to do it though. During the events of Shadowbringers, she had her suspicions on who the Crystal Exarch was. She couldn't completely confirm who it was, until she was being consumed by Light Corruption. Despite all this, she scolded him greatly after winning the fight against Emet-Selch. She knew he had a deep admiration for her, but only saw him as a friend. Regardless, their friendship is still healthy and blossoming.
- Other Warrior of Lights - Appreciates their hard work and resilience to keep the fight going. No matter what, as long as there is a light, they can still prevail.

A little rambling: on grief; and grieving a dog, a cat, an unborn child, and pieces of me that got hurt along the way.
2300 words under the cut.
It’s a very gloomy day today. I don’t usually mind; I like rain. But on a bad day, or a bad week, it only seems to insulate me in my own dark thoughts. That’s what today seems to be. I’ll work on fixing it later-- getting some exercise, sunlight if the clouds clear, making some tea. Should’ve done that already, but I forgot. Ate half a banana, at least.
As I’ve complained about a few times lately, I’ve just not been doing especially well. When and why did it all start? It’s hard to say, but this ‘unwellness’ spell seems most potent starting April 11th (my anniversary, unfortunately, which is why I can remember it), when I came down with a gruesome stomach bug. Really haven’t been feeling right since. I’m really bad about being sick; it scares me and I handle it badly. I assume that’s part of what has messed me up.
But grief is the other part, I think. Grief, and my being scared and worried that what caused it could strike again at any minute. Look, I’m... 32 now, and I’m sure that most people by this age have experienced profound loss. I’m probably not unusual, and I’m certainly not alone, but I think all the loss I’ve experienced is just piling up on me now, like there wasn’t enough time to process the new fresh ones before newer fresher ones came on, and so now even the old tough scars are aching.
When I was a teenager, my parents died. They were old, and it was health problems. It was not a surprise, but that didn’t make it easier to deal with in freshman year of high school. (What made it easier to deal with? Rabidly cleaning out the fridge and watching Lord of the Rings tapes the neighbors lent me. That’s all I did for three days after my mom died.) It’s been a long time-- more than half my life ago-- and I do feel like I’m ‘over it’, but sometimes it just wells up, tears from nowhere. Maybe that’s just how grief is.
A certainly had a good decade of my 20′s. I got married at 19, and had a pretty uneventful set of years. That felt normal to me. I do think, though, that the loss of my parents haunted me in that time, quietly. It influenced everything I did; it probably still does, if only because it changed the person I have become. But other than that, things were good, I think.  My dog Roxy died two years ago, when I was 30, not long after I got back from seeing my siblings for the first time in ages. She was violently ill, and died right in front of us as we were getting ready to take her to the vet. I think I’ve written about it. In fact, the next day I wrote a depressing fanfic piece, certainly as a coping mechanism. (It made people cry, so, mission accomplished, I guess.) I think that helped a lot. A few months later, my in-laws’ dog died too, while mom-in-law was on vacation, and that was rough as well. I wrote another sad fanfic about death. I really like both of these pieces, because they mean something, and they’re very raw. Furthermore, I’ll always have them, as tokens for Roxy, Ginger, and the little pieces of me they crushed when they died. I don’t know if the exchange is worth it, but it’s what I have.
My grief over Roxy was gentle, as time went on. It didn’t bother me. I think I’d processed it well. I’d written out my feelings. I held her body in numb arms as my husband dug her grave. It was okay.
In early 2020, basically on my 31st birthday (and right as Covid was happening), I found I was pregnant. Long story short, those were the densest two months of my life, where everything seemed to change so quickly. My thoughts and feelings could fill so very many pages; this is not the place I’ll leave them. The point of this particular story is that it didn’t work out. The baby ‘died’ not terribly unlike Roxy had-- violently ill, in front of me, with far too much blood. I passed out three times-- the real start of this current fearful nature, because I cannot overstate how very much I felt like I was going to die. I went to the ER; it was miserable, an ordeal I could say quite a lot about. I won’t, though. I have before, and I likely will again, elsewhere.
This... This grief... I think I still don’t know what to do with it. I don’t think I ever will. Months later, I started writing a fic to deal with my feelings, though it took 90k words and many months before I got to the part where I could really delve into my trauma. And it has helped, I’m sure. I’m really sure. And I care about this fic so much, because like the others it is raw and real and it’s something I’d never have if not for my experience. Again, it may not be a fair trade, but it’s what I have.
I don’t grieve for the baby. It didn’t make it far enough to even have a heartbeat. It doesn’t have a name, a gender. It doesn’t have a grave. We let the hospital take care of it. But I still grieve. I’m sad. Wrecked. I grieve what it could have been. I grieve the hope that was spent and lost on it, a precious resource that will take a long time to grow back, if ever. I grieve over not only my own disappointment, but my husband’s, and my in-laws. They’ve never pressured us to have kids, but they’re in their 60′s now, with no grandchildren. I think they feel... lacking, in a way. I understand. I feel the same (though different). I wanted to give them that. I wanted to have that.
I still....?
I can’t say. I don’t know what I want. The event complicated my already complex emotions. I’m still waiting for them to simplify. Maybe they will, or maybe they won’t.
I was alright for a while. Stressed enough because of Covid and family’s declining health. Then in early April 2021, just a year after the miscarriage, I got badly sick. Gross, but not what most people would call a real issue. But only a year after the miscarriage, when my body betrayed me and I was at its horrid mercy, this felt like too much. Again I felt like I was going to die. A week of near delirious fever and nausea; I’d have handled it badly enough in any other circumstance.
As expected, I got through it. A horrible week, but just a week (or so). And then my dog Tobi died, just days later.
This is it. This is the one I... I’m speechless about. The one I... maybe haven’t processed enough. I was just back from the edge of being badly, violently ill. I didn’t have the energy to write, physically or emotionally. And that just made it worse. I love writing. It’s my outlet (surprising, I’m sure). I wanted to write. I thought I ought to write. I needed to write. But I couldn’t. I couldn’t muster the words. I still... can’t.
Tobi was... my baby. Not literally, of course. I didn’t conflate him with my lost child or anything. Tobi was 14. I’d had him since I graduated high school and got an apartment. Adopting him was one of the first things my husband and I did as an established adult couple, before we were even married. He was there, at my wedding. The photographer took a cute picture of me holding him before the ceremony. He was 11 months old at the time. Still had all his brown spots before they turned tan, then later white. He was there; he was always there. He was my entire adult life. And now I’ve lost him, the pup I had longer than my marriage (though soon we will outlast him). He was the big brother to all my other pets. He practically raised all the cats, and they adored him. (Tobi was a chihuahua, so they might have thought he was just another cat.)
He was a sweet boy, who loved his mom and dad first and foremost. When he was little, he was scared of everyone else. Eventually he warmed up to strangers and friends, and in his old age he mostly liked to nap somewhere on his own. He was silly and playful; he always chased the cats when they wanted to be chased. It was a game they all loved.
The vet... well, we took him in when he started to cough badly. He’d had a cough for a few months, but it wasn’t constant and didn’t seem to be affecting his quality of life much. But that day it was bad, so we took him. (We can’t afford frequent vet visits, so this was clearly desperate.) The vet took him and put him on oxygen. We had to stay in the car because they weren’t open for human guests. Then she came and told us a scan had revealed cancer, marbled through his lungs. He was suffocating. In fact, he wouldn’t likely even make it home, not even the two mile drive. We had to put him down. My husband and I cried like babies. We’d never put an animal down before. Generally speaking, we don’t really ‘believe in it’, if that makes sense. But faced with this situation, we had no choice.
I didn’t see him again. I think that’s the worst part, though it would have been equally bad to see him, I think. And it was all so sudden. He was playing and chasing the cats the day before. Begging for treats of human food. Barking at the Roomba. And then I had to pay hundreds of dollars to say goodbye to him. It felt so unfair. I cried all day. My husband and I, we just went home and laid down and wept.
But I still haven’t written about it, not in the way that I wrote about the others. For all that I wrote here, it doesn’t begin to encompass my deeper feelings on what it means that he is gone, and how I felt to have to make that decision. I have ideas. I think I know what I would write, if I could, but writing... still mostly eludes me. I may try. I probably should.
I take a deep breath. I know I should sum this up and take care of myself, but there’s yet a little more to say.
I think Tobi’s death is a large part of what affects me still, but several weeks ago I had what I could only call a panic attack. In the middle of the night I awoke, my heart beating rapidly, a horrible feeling of dread like certainty that all I could possibly do was die. It took over two days for me to feel mostly normal again, and then I still felt vaguely nauseous for two weeks. Then, just a few days ago, it happened again, but this time before bed. I could feel it rising in me, this indescribable sickness. It took several days ago before I felt normal. And this is where I am now.
Sadly, a little while after the first panic attack, my husband and I failed to save a malnourished feral kitten. It was not a surprise, but yet one more reminder of the fragility of life, and how little I can do to keep death away from those I care about. This poor thing, it was so desperate to live, but nothing we could do could save it. I could have poured all my time into trying, could have scrounged up money to take it to the vet (when I should take my own cats, who all have colds), but I know better. I know... so much of the time, there’s nothing you can do. And now I’m trying to help what might be its siblings, a few cute feral kittens nearby. My favorite seems... a little lethargic, and not very interested in eating the wet food and meat scraps I sometimes bring by. I don’t think there’s anything I can do, if it ends up being sick, if it ends up being malnourished. I can’t bring it inside when it could infect my own cats. I have to care for them first.
But knowing that it could die... it bothers me.
And knowing that I could die. I could die. I’m too aware of that, on top of everything else. I hate doctors, so I never go. (Also I’m poor.) This toothache? Could be a terrible abscess. My brother went to the ER for sepsis from an abscess tooth recently! That’s probably what caused the panic, to be honest. But then... why have I felt so week? Is there a problem with my blood? Am I sicker than I know? Do I have breast cancer? My grandma did, and I know I should get it checked out, but it’s just ONE MORE THING. It’s always like that.
And that’s... how I feel right now. Covered in ‘one more thing’s on rainy days and night-work schedules. Trying to take care of myself but not always knowing what that means. Lacking the inspiration to do the things I know I enjoy, because worry and apathy holds me back from everything.
I’m okay. Really. No day of mine is ever entirely without merit, and I have plans to do most of the things that should keep me healthy. But the day is short when my needs and long, and the day is long when I’m paralyzed by apathy.
So. I’ll just take it a moment at a time. And when I can, I’ll try to keep writing.

Have any of the Foretellers or Luxu ever called MoM 'dad' or anything close to it? You've referred to them as your kids in the past, so is their relationship with him a father-children one (adopted/father figure/etc) or a mentor one that sometimes blurs into being a parent figure?

Master Report – Adopting Ava It seems my mother was right in her sentiment of my ability to take in strays or rather my inability to not take in strays. Since arriving in this world, I have spent the time researching for a way to return to my own timeline, reading multiple libraries worth of content as well as anything the Moggles can be convinced to lend me. Indeed I’ve formed quite a fine working relationship with the Moggles though that may be my decision to share advanced potion recipes from the future. Anyway back to my ability to take in strays which only Riku with his infinite patience and cold hard logic could ever dissuade, It was not a particularly conscious decision on my part, I had just celebrated another birthday by using the kitchen of the local bakery to make a rather nice cake. I headed to the bridge overlooking the river to eat it in peace. I did not react as fast as I could have to what happened next mainly because I had never been a victim of such an audacious daylight robbery before. I gave chase and soon cornered the ambitious thief only to be surprised by the culprit, Clad in scruffy clothes and more than a little undernourished, the thief in question was a small child. She was a tiny little thing and I could tell not proud of her theft despite the fact that she had clearly not been eating right and consistently in a long time, she clearly begrudged the act though not the necessity. Coaxing her out to the nearest park bench we began to talk. The child, emboldened by the cake or more likely the sugar in it told me about her life. Of her life as an orphan and the near squalid conditions of Daybreak Towns orphanage and the uncaring matron to her eventually wandering on the streets. Now had Riku been here he would have likely tried to stop me from my next course of action, had Kairi been here she.. would likely be cheering me on the entire time. Nevertheless, I maintain walking up to that orphanages doors and walking out with the adoption papers for my little Ava was the most righteous act I have performed in my entire life. I expected the actual process to be much harder but I am known in this town as a respected figure in good standing with the Moggles Guild and a skilled warrior both so that very likely sped up the process.

Master Report – Adopting Ira, Gula and Invi In my own time, they talk about The Age of Fairytales like the entire era was a utopian ideal, it was not, I cannot stress that fact enough. Thankfully neither Ira, Gula or Invi remember their families and perhaps that is for the best, at most they know that their traveling convoy was ambushed by monsters on the roads between settlements, not an uncommon tale, unfortunately. That is enough, I see no need to put them through more senseless trauma in explaining the whys and hows. For the first time in a while, I used my Keyblade to travel between the settlements looking for any living relations who could take them in, I was unsuccessful. I already knew the deplorable state of Daybreak Town’s orphanage, my daughter Ava still wakes with nightmares, and knew they would not get the care and support they desperately needed there, at least this way I don't have to bother with the paperwork though and Ava will be pleased to have some playmates.

Master Report – Adopting Aced and Luxu I get the feeling that at this point even Kairi would be agreeing with Riku on the issue of picking up strays. Two boys both recent arrivals in Daybreak Town, were left behind when one of the trading caravans left without them, thinking it an accident I used the Keyblade to catch up with the group and left them more than a little infuriated by what I found. The boys had been left behind intentionally, Luxu’s parents who had been members of the caravan had perished recently leaving him as an extra mouth to feed with no one who cared for him. They called him an extra expense, I call them scum. Now, while leaving Luxu behind in an established settlement safe from monsters is preferable to abandoning him in the wilderness their next action with Aced was reprehensible. Aced was left behind because he was loud. He is a six-year-old child. Rambunctious and happy as can be child and they left him behind because they wanted to save money on monster repellent. ‘They’ being his father, grandparents and older sisters. I don't even have the words for how furious I was then I heard that. I told them to leave Daybreak Town and never return, else I would deal with them. As far as Aced and Luxu know the entire caravan left them behind by mistake and was set upon by monsters leaving no survivors. They are mine now.

The Master of Masters sighed exaggeratedly placing his hands on his hips “I seem to have lost something” He announced loudly, quiet giggling alerted him to the location of one hider. “Oh Ava, Invi, Ira, Aced, Gula, Luxu” The Master of Masters called “Where have you all gone?” More giggling “Sshh, quiet Gula! Papa’s gonna find us!” The Master of Masters grinned and dramatically swooned in place with faux woe “Its so sad, without my children I fear allll those warm chocolate cookies I baked might just go to waste” The Master of Masters paused for dramatic effect “I suppose I’ll just eat them all myself then” Aced barrelled into his legs from behind with a warcry of protest to the dismay of the other hiders, The Master of Master reached around as he stumbled and fell and grabbed the squealing child mercilessly tickling him into gales of laughter. “Oh Lookie Lookie I found a ticklish little bear cub, Looks like I’m not going to be eating the cookies alone after all” The Master of Masters stood up putting the pouting Aced under one arm like a bag and noogieing him gently “Let us go cub, for chocolate awaits!” The Master of Masters paused and looked closely at the couch cushions reaching a hand in to pull out “Ohhh look cub, a snake hatchling, how adorable!” The Masters cooed Invi blushed as she was also picked up. The Master of Masters yelped as Gula sprinted out of cover from under a table and leapt onto his back scaling his way up until he sat on the Master of Masters shoulders gripping his hair like reigns to keep his balance “I gotcha papa!” Gula announced triumphantly “Yes, you did little my little sky leopard” Gula pouted The Master of Master paused then had a idea “I'm so very short, can you see any unicorns or foxes running about from up there, Little Sky leopard?” Indignant cries of “Papa!” and “That's Cheating!” rang around the room and two missiles collided with both his legs Ava staring up from his left with a pout and Ira looking up reproachfully from the right the Master of Masters laughed “Oh dear, I must have forgotten the rules, there's only one thing for it” The children looked confused before their expressions brightened to glee as the Master of Masters announced seriously “Cookies and milk for all and a bedtime story!” the children cheered loudly “Wait? Where's Luxu” asked Ava confused The Master of Master paused thoughtfully then gasped as though stunned “It seems Luxu won at hide and seek that means he gets to choose the bedtime story this time” The five children groaned as the Master of Masters chuckled and lowered the children carefully to the ground “Now if I go get the cookies and milk ready will you find Luxu and tell him to pick a story?” Five sets of eyes shone happily “Yes Papa!” Chorused the group before they scattered around the room looking for Luxu, The Master of Masters chuckled warmly and went to the kitchen wondering what story Luxu would pick this time.
This was way before MoM!Sora started to get visions of the future, at this point in time the Foretellers and Luxu are teeny tiny tots and toddlers (I am leaving the ages ambiguous) This is my headcanon territory in this AU and Nomura can rip it from my cold dead fingers. As far as MoM!Sora is concerned they're his babies and he’ll happily murder anyone who suggests otherwise which make what's about to happen in the future all the more heartbreaking.
Suffice to say I was in a big mood when I wrote this.
