Author’s Note: Yes, I know the series was over by the summer, but in my Oc Nari au, it sounded better in the summer, lol. Let me know what y’all think, and get ready for the next 2 parts!
Summary: Summer is fast approaching, and your relationship with Tae has felt like a walk in dreamland so far! Naturally, neither of you is thrilled about the prospect of him leaving for Mexico to film a new show because it means being apart, but you are happy for him and promise to call him every night! But will that be necessary?
Pairing:  Jinny’s Kitchen era bf!Tae x oc!Nari. Mentions of the rest of Jinny’s crew but nothing romantic happens.
Rating: Mild (some teasing but nothing explicit)
Genre: slight angst, fluff, established relationship, series
Word Count: 1,570
Warnings: none really, besides separation anxiety and Tae being a little shit, haha
It is the middle of May, and the past 3 months of being the girlfriend of your stranger who turned into the love of your life, Kim Taehyung, has been absolute bliss.
While both of your schedules keep you more than occupied, he always makes time for you, and you relish being able to openly claim him as yours while seeing Jocelyn flounce amongst young bachelors like a dying fish every other week.
Something has seemed off with your boyfriend for the past couple of weeks. You are unable to pinpoint what is different, but his energy has definitely been altered by something.
He reassures you that he is fine and that you did nothing, even swearing it on Yeontan! Still, you know him better than he realizes and that doesn’t tame the worry in your heart.
The next week, you finally get the answer you have been asking for: he is leaving in 3 days to film a show in Mexico. How did you get this information from your guarded teddy bear? Tequila.
He had told you he was going to hang out with his friends Jung Yumi, Choi Wooshik, and Park Seo Joon after the gym and to not wait up as it had been a long time since he had seen them.
Well, you obviously didn’t listen and stayed up until he got home to make sure everything was all right and to sneak in a “hey” to his friends as they dropped him off after partaking in too many shots.
The second he plopped onto the couch, the waterworks started. Between sobs, he choked out the news that he feels like his life with you has just started.
He doesn’t want to leave you, but his manager already said that you couldn’t tag along but were more than welcome to visit him the last couple of days.
You sit there in a daze, rubbing his back while he cries into your shoulder and can’t believe that he has kept this from you. While you understand his reasoning, he knows about your separation anxiety.
You prefer to have a hefty heads-up before these types of things so you can slowly adjust. You’ll barely be past the depression about him leaving by the time he leaves.
Despite your annoyance at his strategy of information release, you do your best to postpone the depression and enjoy the next few days, helping him prepare and have as much fun as possible.
You know this is barely easier for him, and he has apologized profusely for not telling you sooner.
The day arrives for his departure, and you bring him to the airport and wish him and his friends safe travels with bleary eyes and continual “I love you’s” being exchanged between you.
You get home and cuddle up with Yeontan on the couch, feeling exhausted. Your emotions finally take over about 15 minutes later, and the waterworks are in full effect.
A while later, Tae shoots you a text that they have a brief layover before the next flight and that he already misses you and will call you as soon as he gets settled.
This only intensifies the tears, and it takes a miracle for you to settle down enough to pick up the phone about 5 minutes later when you see his manager calling your phone.
You answer immediately, asking if everything is okay, and he even further reassures you that they are fine and that he is about to tell you something confidential, not even to tell your boyfriend.
He apologized for saying that you couldn’t tag along before, but the decision wasn’t final yet. Your eyebrows are about to merge into one from being confusingly scrunched so much.
He explains that you will be leaving in 2 days to meet them in Mexico. A couple of episodes will already be shot, but he wants to surprise Tae (and the viewers) by having you join the crew.
He has already made accommodations for your heat sensitivity in advance, and everyone loves your relationship’s chemistry, so it would be an honor for you to guest star.
You think for a moment but decide not to live in fear and what if, and you agree! It is exceedingly difficult not to tell Tae the news when he calls that night, being the most pitiful puppy missing you so much and being homesick, but you can’t wait to see the look on his face when you spawn on set.
You arrive in Mexico a few days later at a nearby hotel so maintain the surprise and are given instructions on where to go, when, and given the Jinny’s Kitchen uniform.
It is tricky to Facetime Tae that night as you must make it look like you aren’t in the same time zone.
Luckily, he is exhausted, doesn’t suspect anything, and doesn’t even make a fuss about you ending the call earlier than usual because “you have an early photoshoot.”
You drift off to sleep with the biggest grin on your face, knowing you get to be reunited with your boyfriend way ahead of schedule.
Bright and early the next morning, you arrive at the set, and the moment his eyes meet yours, he runs toward you like an excited puppy, lifts you, spins you around, and showers you with kisses until you both need oxygen.
Everyone on set can tell how much his energy shifts now that you are around and are impressed with your acting debut and how professional you are both being.
The viewers already know that you are together, but you both have jobs to do and can’t play around like when you cook at home.
After the first couple of days, he isn’t used to you in a negative way, but his cheeky side is peeking through now that the shock of you being there has lessened.
As the crew is doing the pre-shift interviews as all of you get ready for the day, he says, “Oh well, I am definitely not the intern now that Nari is here. I’ve been running this for 2-3 days before she got here. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that is cleared up.” He says with a sly grin.
This remark is because the day before, you had gotten playfully sassy when he was trying to show you how to do something. Your reply was, “Um, I’m sorry. I’m the chef at home, so I think I can handle myself just fine, pretty boy; go check on the table 4.” giggling as he walked away.
The workday starts, and Tae calls a team meeting, shocking the older members with his boldness. Once everyone is gathered, he brings up an issue with his boss, Seo Jin. “Hyung, now that Nari is here, I think that we need to reconfigure the hierarchy of this establishment.”
You sit in the corner and roll your eyes only for a moment before they bug out of your head as the older man agrees with Tae. As Wooshik arrived a day before you, that makes you the true intern and the one with the least authority.
The whole time Seo Jin is explaining this amongst the other's discussion, you are glaring at your boyfriend while he has his tongue poking the inside of his cheek the whole time, looking the cockiest he has in a hot minute. Which is highly arousing. You won’t lie, but you are still annoyed.
You head to the back and start to gather the equipment the team will need to prep the snack foods of the day; Tae follows you with the excuse that nobody can make better rice than him so that he will start it.
Despite his attempts to show affection or joke around, you ignore him, fighting a smile because he is just your goofball boy that you are madly in love with and aren’t upset.
Dropping off the tools to Yumi and Seo Joon first, you return to the kitchen for the remaining items needed for the day. Chuckling to yourself about the events of the day so far, you get spun around and pinned to the fridge in a split second.
Tae has both of your hands in one of his above your head, and his other hand caresses your cheek, “Oh jagiya, now it’s official that you must listen to me. But that won’t be a problem; we both know how well you take instruction from me, right?”
With a smirk at your speechlessness, he gives you quick pecks on the forehead, nose, cheeks, and lips and turns to assist the others in prepping the food.
You remain frozen with heat pooling in your stomach for the next several seconds before Yumi comes to gather veggies from the fridge for the rolls.
Noticing your wide eyes, still leaning up against the fridge, she asks, “Nari, are you all right? You hadn’t been seen in a while.” Returning to Earth, you nod, saying, “Sorry, there were a few dishes, then I got overheated, so I just leaned against here a moment.” She nods with a smile, “Glad you are feeling better; we all get hot and bothered in a kitchen, so do what you need to, yeah?”
As she walks away, you grin, knowing the real reason you were back there, and mumble to yourself, “You can say that again.”
STAY TUNED FOR PART 2!

Lacuna | Pt. 3
An unfilled space; a gap.
Min Yoongi x reader
Genre/Tropes : established relationship, miscommunication, angst, yelling
Word count : ~2.2k
A/N : Hello sweet readers! Finally the third part!! Enjoy it please<3  Not much left before these two go heart to heart ^^ Are you excited to see how this plays out?
<
Next morning Yoongi is once again met with a displeasing view. You silently rushing around the room collecting your clothes and toiletries. His breath quickens and he shoots up in bed clutching the comforter as if he has woken from a nightmare.
His eyes move around following your form and only as you turn to leave you notice him. His eyebrows furrowed a sleepy and confused expression on his face. You take it as a hint to leave the room and quickly scramble out without a word.
Yoongi holds his breath the moment your eyes meet. He couldn’t read the expression adorning your face and it scared him. He once again ran hands down his face taking in a deep breath. His heart still hammering inside. Yoongi was even more scared now then he was yesterday evening. The later realization coming back to hold him by the neck. When a thought shoots in his head. He still needs to apologize to you.
He quickly throws on sweats and moves out of the room. He can hear the shower running in the guest room and stays behind the door, scared to invade your personal space now and tick you off.
On the other side of the door you were getting dressed with those same thoughts. Scared to tick Yoongi off you try to make yourself scarce as fast as possible. The stare you’ve been met with this morning almost put you in cardiac arrest as you heart stopped.
You exit the shower and start pulling on your work clothes. Suddenly a knock on the door stops your heart once again. “Y/N?” A small voice catches your attention.
You haven’t heard your name leave his lips for so long. You stop for a moment frozen in space but quickly recover as your phone lights up with notifications. You need to hurry or you’ll be late for the new presentation.
Yoongi can hear you shuffling inside the room. Excitement fills his insides when he hears your footsteps coming closer to the door. He braces himself to face you, hug you, kiss you and fall to his knees before you to apologize. The door opens and Yoongi barely catches sight of you before you scurry down the stairs. A thought enters Yoongi’s head. You’re running away from him…
He comes after you hot on your trail. When he stands on the bottom of the staircase he can’t do anything but observe you putting on your shoes and taking you bag in your hands. That’s when it clicks for him. You’re leaving.
He nears you in three big strides and catches your arm before you can disappear out the door. “We need to talk” he says assertively. You only look at him with big eyes and stutter out a “I’m late for work” before removing yourself from his grasp.
Yoongi stands there frozen in place. Everything seems to drop into place for him now. The detachment in your eyes, the space between you two now miles. This relationship is hanging by a thread...
You were full of adrenaline as you reached work, not only from running but from the weird morning encounter with Yoongi. You quickly pushed Yoongi out of your mind and walked through the office door. After setting your bag on your chair you grabbed your computer and set off to the meeting room.
After three hours you finally slumped down in your chair a smile adorning your face. A tear of happiness escaped your eye and you wiped it laughing. You got it. You got your position.
You could not contain yourself as you started typing out a message to Yoongi. Your finger stopped right above the send button. The whole world stilled as you deleted the message not wanting to annoy your lover any further. The thought once again made you sad… he didn’t feel like a lover any more…
“Congrats Y/N you were amazing!” Your colleague Hyun clapped you on the back. You turned to him “Oh!” You were startled but recovered “thank you, thank you” you smiled once again. “Great even amazing job on the presentation. Finally, you put that Lee in her place. Please fire her I’m getting tired of listening to her..” he rolled his eyes jokingly and lounged on your desk beside you.
Hyun kept up small talk asking you about the document, your days and finally reaching a topic of a new café down town with famous Japanese buns that you’ve been craving to try.
“That place is bomb! I was there a few times while in Japan they have the most delicious buns I have ever tried” Hyun almost melted on your desk holding his tummy “It’s all I want in life” he closed his eyes theatrically. You laugh boomed through the office at his actions and you held yourself back after receiving some judging glances. “I’m convinced alright stop making a scene someone might kill us” you giggled.
Hyun got serious, straightened up and looked into your eyes “Come with me”. Your giggle stopped in your throat “W-what?” “Come with me to the opening. We can go on Saturday it’s our free day thanks to you” he smiled. “C’mon Y/N we do need to celebrate you somehow” his eyes were full of affection.
Your head was spinning. Hyun has been your good friend for a couple of years in the company. But that’s it, there was never anything more than that. You had never taken your friendship out of the confines of this office and now you were feeling like maybe you wanted it. It was nice having him here at this moment, having someone congratulate you, take interest in you day and laugh together.
You gulped as Hyun got up from your desk a hand on your shoulder “I’ll get back to you” he smiled and walked away. Your eyes followed him and your heart lit up with a possibility of a new friendship.
While you were congratulating with Hyun, Yoongi was having a fight on his own.
Repairing his music was going as NOT smooth as possible. Despite the fact that he had no music, he also had producer Cho on his ass. Cho has not left him alone for the whole day.
Yoongi could deal with Cho being in the studio but he could no longer deal with his shouting and constant nagging, tough Yoongi could not say a thing back.
Apart from Cho, you were also on his mind. The morning encounter, the evening fight all of it pressing him from within. Yoongi wanted to cry. He wanted to cry his whole body out and curl up in your loving arms so you could nurse him to health again. He wanted everything to be alright. But most of all he wanted YOU. He wanted YOU to be alright. The thought made Yoongi tear up and drop his head into his hands for the hundredth time that day.
“Hyung it’s time for practice” Jungkooks voice filled the studio and immediately irritated Yoongi. He let out a groan “yeh I know.” Jungkook slipped into the room leaving the door ajar and and looked around awkwardly “Hyung are you alright?” He laid a comforting hand on Yoongi’s shoulder and Yoongi shot up out of the chair making Jungkook jump back and land awkwardly on the carpet before the couch. “DOES IT LOOK LIKE IM ALRIGHT?! IF YOU DON’T ALREADY SEE NO NOTHING IS ALRIGHT YOU- YOU-UH?!” Yoongi towered over the younger male body shaking with anger. It didn’t take long before all of the members filtered through the door to see what was happening. Namjoon and Jin quickly evaluated the situation and jumped in front of Yoongi making him sit at his chair while Taehyung and Jimin helped a tearful Jungkook up. “What the hell is going on here?! Jungkook are you okey?”the leader tried to bring peace back.
Yoongi glanced around the room eyes meeting Jungkooks. Eyes filled with tears looking up at him, a sight so sad it reminded him of a worse one...
Yoongi was taken over by his emotions once more, he could feel something brewing inside him and he had no idea how he was going to deal with it without you. “Yoongi? Tell us what’s wrong? You’ve been distant for a long time now? Is it Y/N??” Jin’s voice uttering your name was like the final straw in Yoongi’s emotions and he let it all flow.
With his tears flowing down his cheeks all the hardships flowed out too. All six members sitting around now listening to their brother cry out his concerns about his relationship and work.
“And I’m so sorry Jungkook that you happened to probe me at the worst moment. I didn’t mean to dump all of this on you…” Now Yoongi felt embarrassed not only about this Jungkook situation but also about opening to his members up about his emotions and struggles with your relationship.
“Hyung it sounds like the two of you just …grew apart…” Said Hobi and Yoongi’s head shot up to his brother eyes full of fear. “No no no not that way, maybe not grew apart but simply spent too little time together and have simply misunderstood one another’s feelings now. And to be honest time has not been kind to the two of you” Jimin tried to help his friend who looked like he was having a heart attack.
“Jiminie is right, when was the last time you talked with Y/N?” Yoongi fell into deep thought and the members looked at him hoping for an answer. The longer they waited the more scared for their friend they got. Yoongis face went from thinking to breaking in a few seconds and tears once again flowed.
A soft chorus of “Hyung” and “Yoongi” was let out by the boys as they stood from the couch and gathered around Yoongi to hug him and wipe his tears. “Yoongi look at me. Stop crying and go. Find some flowers a nice drink and something delicious then go get your woman and tell her that you love her.” Jin looked sternly into the younger man’s eyes.
Yoongi blinked a few times and nodded his head but then a revelation from yesterday popped back into his mind and he lowered his eyes to the floor again. “What if she doesn’t want me anymore...” he whispered the paralyzing words for the first time and it hit him more than he thought it would. The air got knocked out of Yoongi and the others noticed. “Yah! Stop it hyung!” “Yah go get Y/N! You know she loves you just don’t give up”
It felt like a breath of new air being supported by his brothers and it gave him new bravery to text you.
Yoongi: Hey...
Yoongi: When do you finish work?
Your eyes shot away from the computer and back at your phone when you read the senders name. You gulped and could feel cold sweat coating your body. The text was exactly what you had been expecting for a while. This is it. “Maybe it’s something else, c’mon respond” you thought trying to stop yourself from going into shock.
Y/N: Hi
Y/N: I finish work at 9
Y/N: Why?
Your heart beat fast and out of rhythm as you waited for a response praying for a better one than you have imagined.
Yoongi: I’ll pick you up.
You sat now thoroughly confused by the message. Why would he want to pick you up? Was he at home now? He wouldn’t just break up with you now would he?
If this situation had occurred weeks ago you would have jumped up and down at the thought of your boyfriend being spontaneous, however now it only served to make you nervous. You couldn’t imagine being at such a close proximity with him.
“Y/N did you get my message?” Junhi stood at your door and you awoke from the nightmare that was going on inside your head thanks to your boyfriend. “Ah message? Oh yes yes I got it sorry” you buffered looking at your computer screen trying to find a message.
“Interesting” Junhi chuckles. “Huh..?” You turn to him dishevelled. “I didn’t send you any messages. Are your messages haunted sweets?” Junhi came inside your cubicle and sat on your desk. “Don’t call me that it sounds like we’re dating or something..” you lowered your gaze in disgust.
“That doesn’t sound that bad huh? I could be your work boyfriend? We’d make an office power couple. At least you’d have someone to attend the party with on Friday” he flashed a smile searching your eyes for contact. He locked his eyes on yours finally and you let out a weak chuckle ‘this idiot again…’ . “Is there anything you need help with Junhi?” you asked looking through your documents, only one man on your mind, heartbeat elevated.
Please don’t let this be our end…

Moonlit Negotiation
The tension hung heavy in the opulent office, the scent of leather and polished wood masking the unease that crackled between the three figures. Taehyung, the young King, leaned back in his plush chair, long fingers steepled beneath his sharp chin. His cousin, Seokjin, stood by the window, an ever-present guardian, his amber eyes cool and watchful. Before them, Alpha Jay of Pack Arcania shifted nervously on his feet, his obsidian fur bristling with barely contained frustration.
"Your Majesty," Alpha Jay began, his voice a low rumble, "I humbly seek your guidance. My daughter, Rose, has found a mate, a strong wolf from Pack Sylvaia, but this... this young wolf refuses to join my pack."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement. "Refuses, Alpha Jay? Or has simply chosen to stay with his own kin?"
Alpha Jay scoffed. "Pack Sylvaia is a shadow of its former self, barely surviving after the Rough Wolf attack. My daughter deserves a better life, a stronger future within my pack."
Seokjin spoke then, his voice soft yet firm. "But Alpha, is that not for Rose and her chosen mate to decide? To force their hand goes against the very foundation of our bond, the freedom to choose our path."
The room fell silent, the air thick with the Alpha's unspoken disapproval. He saw Pack Sylvaia as weak, their isolation a sign of their inadequacy. To him, uniting his daughter with a wolf from such a pack was a slight, a blow to his own prestige.
Taehyung, sensing the brewing conflict, intervened. "Alpha Jay," he said, his voice resonating with quiet authority, "the bond between mates is sacred. To interfere with their choices is to court chaos. I believe a meeting with the Alpha of Pack Sylvaia is in order, a chance for open dialogue and understanding."
A flicker of surprise crossed Alpha Jay's face. He hadn't expected the King to side with the unknown, seemingly insignificant Alpha from the distant pack. Hesitantly, he nodded. "As you wish, Your Majesty. But I won't rest until my daughter sees reason."
Taehyung smiled, a hint of steel in his gaze. "Reason, Alpha Jay, is not forced, but cultivated. Let us see what this meeting reveals."
The tension began to dissipate, replaced by a wary hope. As Alpha Jay left, Taehyung turned to Seokjin, a wry smile playing on his lips. "Pack Sylvaia may be small, but they have endured much. Perhaps they hold more strength than meets the eye."
Seokjin nodded, his sharp mind already piecing together the possibilities. "Indeed, Your Majesty. This may be an opportunity to mend old wounds and forge new alliances."
The opulent office, once filled with discord, now hummed with the promise of change. The moon, a silent observer through the window, cast an ethereal glow, as if blessing the journey they were about to embark on. The fate of two young wolves, and perhaps the future of their packs, hung in the balance, waiting to be rewritten.

Spark
It was at around four in the evening, when Jungkook walked past the giant glass doors at the entrance, into the well-lit, enormous workspace teeming with a rather dynamic mass of employees rushing around to get their work done. He noticed that to his right was a reception, and to his left, were some coffee tables along with a few armchairs which he assumed to be the lounge. Straight ahead at the centre, there were the elevators leading up to the innumerable floors present in the building.
As he glanced around the interiors and the infrastructure of the ground floor, the sound of heels clicking, drew his attention to a young, good-looking woman, who was walking towards him.
"Evening Mr. Jeon. I am Y/N, Mr. Kim's Personal Assistant", she said as she flashed a pleasant smile.
Jungkook admired her facial features. Her warm and inviting eyes were a deep shade of umber and the sunrays of the golden hour enhanced her flawless skin making her look undeniably beautiful. Her firm and elegant voice radiated her strong aura. She was petite yet her presence felt audacious.
"Oh, umm hi." Jungkook replied awkwardly as he realized, he had been staring at her.
"Mr. Kim is currently in a meeting, and he would be able to meet you in approximately 10-15 minutes. I have been instructed to keep you company until then."
"Great!" Jungkook replied almost inaudibly. He was glad that he would get to spend some more time with his recent acquaintance.
"Would you like to wait in Mr. Kim's office sir?" Y/N asked diligently.
"Sure!"
"Alright then, this way sir." Y/N said, as she started walking towards the elevator.
"Since how long have you been working here Y/N?" Jungkook inquisitively asked.
"This is my third year working here sir."
"So you're well acquainted with work and stuff, right? Specially with Taehyung, it can be quite annoying."
"I..." Y/N began.
"Agree." She completed with a small smirk as both of them entered the elevator.
"Don't tell him I said that sir." She quickly whispered and pressed a number.
Jungkook played along by nodding curtly and smiling assuringly. He was, after all slightly interested in her, and therefore, was keen on creating a good impression. Jungkook is in fact pretty chill with women and didn't have to try that hard. But boy was he having a tough time. He suddenly became highly conscious of every step he took and everything he said. How should one look like a genuine guy and not a creepy asshole?
'Come on JK, be cool' he told himself.
Jungkook decided upon not furthering their conversation anymore. Otherwise, it might seem a little forced and desperate. Besides, what would you say to your friend's assistant, whom you just met in a workplace other than work-related things? Surely, he can't ask her out just yet. So, he waited. Waited patiently, until he heard a 'ding' and the elevator doors opened. They walked in silence which was only broken by Y/N when she paused to open the doors to Taehyung's office and asked Jungkook to take a seat.
Y/N checked her watch and said, "Mr. Kim's meeting must be done anytime now. Let me inform him about your arrival. I will be right back sir. "
"Alright" Jungkook nodded.
Y/N POV
I closed the door of the office and noticed that Mr. Kim's meeting was indeed, done. He was standing outside the meeting room discussing with a man, whom I assume is the new client.
"Mr. Kim" I greeted him as I approached him. He was wearing a grey linen lounge suit and a white dress shirt with black hair pushed off his forehead.
"Ah yes Ms. Y/N. This is our client- Mr. Cheong, and this is my secretary, Ms. Y/N" Mr. Kim introduced us to each other.
The client, Mr. Cheong, was a well-known, successful businessman and the CEO of a few companies, majorly Cheong Corporation. He wore a navy suit, a light blue dress shirt and a matching tie. He looked like a man in his early thirties. The atmosphere felt a little strange around him.
"Looking forward to working with you Mr. Cheong.'' I smiled warmly and bowed slightly.
"Oh Ms. Y/N! It is my pleasure. I'm equally excited to work with you." He enthusiastically smiled and extended his arm out for a handshake.
I shook his hand for a brief period of time and for some reason, his smile did not seem genuine.
I turned to Mr. Kim and informed him of Mr. Jeon's arrival.
"I shall take my leave then Mr. Kim" Mr. Cheong announced.
"Alright Mr. Cheong." Mr. Kim said as he shook hands with Mr. Cheong.
"Ah I apologize, I seem to have forgotten the way out!" Mr. Cheong chuckled slightly in embarrassment and looked at me.
"Perhaps...Ms. Y/N could lead me out." He suggested.
No way. Sure there are multiple floors, rooms, and corridors, but there is no way this guy actually forgot how to leave this goddamn building. I mean he's the CEO of four companies for god's sake. Can't remember the exit? Bullshit.
"Of course Mr. Cheong." I smiled through gritted teeth and looked at Mr. Kim once before leading the way.
The meeting room was the last room in the corridor at the farthest end. We walked towards the elevator in silence, and it was obviously awkward.
"Since how long have you been working here Ms. Y/N?"
Jeez what is it with people wanting to know about my duration of work in this company?
"This would be my third-year sir."
"Oh. Well if you don't mind me asking, how much do you get paid here?"
"Enough sir" I replied, nettled by the intrusive and odd question. Mr. Cheong on the other hand, started to chuckle at my 'witty humour'.
Silence descended yet again as we walked further. Only the sound of my heels clicking, the distant chitter-chatter of the employees, and the squeaky handle of Mr. Cheong's briefcase had managed to interrupt the silence. After a few minutes, Mr. Cheong spoke again.
"Well, Ms. Y/N, I'd like to offer you a job in my company." He passively but abruptly stated.
Just then, we had reached the elevator.
"A job?" I asked, slightly taken aback by the sudden offer, as I pressed the button.
"Yes, Ms. Y/N, a job"
"May I ask why? Don't get me wrong, I'm just curious as to why you would hire someone you've just met."
"Hmm, I see potential in you, Ms. Y/N. You're skilled, competent, well versed, and most importantly, a charming woman. I think your work would be highly favourable to my company." He replied with a smile as he looked at me. Or...he replied with a smirk as he checked me out?
'No you're probably overthinking Y/N'
"So, what do you say Ms. Y/N?"
"Well, I uhh, I apologize Mr. Cheong. I just started working two years ago and I believe you'll find people who are way more capable and experienced than I am."
"But I insist Ms. Y/N. I could pay you twice what you're getting here. It's an offer you shouldn't refuse."
"I'm sorry sir, it is not just about the pay check" I replied, and fake laughed.
"Moreover I've signed a four-year contract with this company." I reasoned.
Mr. Cheong thought for a brief moment, smiled, and said, "Oh that's unfortunate! I hope you reconsider after the contract then. The offer would be valid for you."
And thank lord the elevator doors opened just then. Mr. Cheong stepped inside, and I pressed the ground floor button inside the elevator and stepped out.
"The exit doors will be right ahead of you on the ground floor sir. Have a good day." I smiled.
I noticed the change in his expression from a smirk to a frown and back to a disappointed smile.
Looks like he got the sass.
"Good day to you to Ms. Y/N" He said as the elevator doors closed.
'That went well'
Author's POV
Y/N recalled the previous conversation as she walked back to her desk. She realized that she should've been a little less savage. A deal with the Cheong Corporation and Mr. Cheong, an important business client, would be highly beneficial and imperative to the company. And by no means, should Y/N jeopardize it, regardless of how Mr. Cheong smiled at her or looked at her. She had to stay professional.
Y/N was met again, with the busy crowd, scrambling and surging around the vast room. She smiled and waved at a few employees as she passed by them to her desk. She took a seat and continued with her work.
Through the transparent and humongous glass panels, she occasionally glanced at the two old friends having a cheerful conversation. It was actually the first ever time in two years that Taehyung had invited a friend to his office. His office would usually host clients, shareholders, and business officials so it was rare to see a close friend in there.
And dating? You might ask, but nope. No time for that. Since the last two years have been...well how do I put it...busy? Yeah, let's go with that. Taehyung had joined the company as the acting CEO two years ago, along with Y/N. Ever since then, he wanted to put up his best work and prove to be worthy of running the company. And so, in the pursuit of excellence, he pegged away tirelessly for two years.
Now that things were a little under his control, and that he had earned the respect and admiration of the Board Of Directors and his employees, Taehyung decided to loosen up a bit.
Presently, Y/N pushed the long steel door handle of Taehyung's office with one hand while holding a wooden serving tray with two ceramic teacups along with their saucers, a sugar pitcher and two spoons in the other. Taehyung had asked Y/N to bring some tea for them.
She walked in, placed the tray onto the glass coffee table and smiled at the two of them who were sitting on the light blue couch.
"I assume you've already met her?" Taehyung asked Jungkook.
"Yes, I did." Jungkook nodded and looked at Y/N.
"So how did your conversation with Mr. Cheong go?" Taehyung casually asked Y/N as he picked up one of the teacups.
"Who?" Jungkook asked.
"Mr. Cheong. He is the CEO of a conglomerate, owner, and chairperson of Cheong Corporation. A high-profile corporate client who has signed a contract with Kim Enterprises." Y/N explained.
"And...umm, well it was odd." She continued.
"Odd?" Jungkook asked slightly bemused by the answer.
"Yes. Well, he offered me a job. And it was quite odd for him to do that, since we've actually never met before."
"Preposterous, what did you say then?" Jungkook asked further.
"I refused of course."
Taehyung's eyes instantly shot back up at Y/N.
"Why? I'm sure he would've definitely offered you more than what you would get over here." Taehyung eagerly inquired. He thought it was strange that someone would pass on such an incredible opportunity. He was disappointed that Y/N made that decision but pleased that she chose him and his company over Mr. Cheong's.
"He did. But sir, I signed a four-year contract at Kim Enterprises."
"Besides, Mr. Cheong...didn't seem like a guy with good intentions." Y/N added.
"So, is Taehyung...a guy with good intentions?" Jungkook raised his eyebrows and asked her impatiently.
"Uhh, maybe, maybe not, but Mr. Kim is definitely a guy without bad intentions" Y/N replied.
"That makes no sense" Jungkook expressed bluntly.
"I'll be outside if you require me Mr. Kim." Y/N announced as she chuckled and left the room.
"You've hired the right person as your secretary Tae. She is amazing." Jungkook said in pure awe of the woman who just left the room.
"Uhuh" Taehyung replied and noticed his friend's gaze on his secretary through the glass panels.
'Does he like her?'
"You wanna have fried chicken and beer for dinner?" Jungkook suggested as he looked back at Taehyung.
Taehyung nodded in reply. For some reason, Taehyung was slightly bothered by the fact that Jungkook was interested in Y/N. He doesn't know why though, Y/N was his secretary after all. Anybody has the right to date anyone. Y/N could date whomsoever she wished to date. So could Jungkook. And so could Taehyung. Right? Whatever. He pushed aside the sudden discomfort he felt when he pictured Jungkook and Y/N together, and focused on the dinner plan later this evening with his best friend.

the siren
Tumblr media
Pairing: Siren!Reader x Human!Seokjin
Genre(s): Angst, Fluff at the end, Fantasy, Siren AU
Word Count: 2079
TW’s: Pining, mentions of blood, possession, mentions of death, frequent insomnia, murder, depression
this is from my old account that i deleted awhile back, but i decided to come back <3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“There! There, I heard it again, someone is calling out for help but I can’t find where it is!” Seokjin says in a panic, he’s been hearing your voice for minutes now. Although you aren’t really calling out for help, you don’t need it - breathing underwater is second nature now since you’re deceased and everything. Now that you think about it, its been over 15 years since you were on that shipwreck, the memory still haunts you to this day, remembering that every person who knew you went to your fake funeral with a fake body in the casket celebrating a very real death that never actually happened. Looking back at it you’re somewhat thankful that it happened, everyone working for Her -- the Sea that is, for 100 years.
Yep, that’s how it works, 100 years of service to the source which lured you to your death. But you’re not alone, there are millions of others like you, some that your friends with, and they all reached the same fate that you did, shipwreck? No, sorcery. Your voices are poisonous and luring, a simple word could make someone meet their inevitable death unless they choose to serve the Sea, which is another horrific process in its own ways and sorts.
“We need to help them, Namjoon, if we don’t they could drow and die! Don’t just stand there we need to save them!” Seokjin yells at his friend, the anger is flowing off his body in waves, touching your soul from the water. You know what’s going to happen soon, She’s going to make you sing and kill them, and you know you won’t have the strength to kill innocent people in fancy gowns and crisp slacks and pressed suits. They always look so prim and proper, wealthy - and you’re reminded that was once you. They jump into the ocean without any hesitation, the poison seeping into their bones and flowing in their veins until the boat sinks to the cold ocean floor. If they miraculously snap out of it, they are given the option to become a siren or die. If they choose the former, a dark blue liquid is forced into their mouths - a mixture to keep them looking young and pauses their aging, while also simultaneously making their voices hypnotic - if you don’t follow along with Her orders you’ll choke and die.
Do it y/n, sing for me - make me stay alive she whispers in your ear, ordering you to sing, to lead these poor humans to their death. You do so dutifully, but saddened, and th only two who remain are the ones you recognize. They aren’t awake, and you always told to let them be - they won’t remember anything, the shock and they will think they were dreaming, a simple, easy concept that you’re ever thankful for.
“Y/N? I took the survivors last time, so it’s your turn.” Sapphire tells you with a solemn face, she hates this just as much as you do - thankfully it’s only once every three months. You all finish singing once the last gurgled scream fades into the warm summer air. Taking Namjoon and the other man into your arms, She helps you carry them to the shoreline, from there, someone will hopefully find them and bring them to the nearest hospital before they die from starvation or lack of water. If they don’t you’ll kill them or turn them - depending on if they wake up. You curse yourself constantly for choosing this over painless death but another chance at like without any reminders of this way of living seemed so much better than your end.
“There, please wake up so someone can bring you somewhere far, far away from here.” You whisper lightly to the beautiful men - they’d make great sirens, good looking, and easy to make any women lust over them. Dipping back down into the water you bid one final goodbye to the men before heading home to your apartment, it wouldn’t make sense to any regular person to see beautiful women in the sea all day every day, so you and your friends Sapphire and Peisinoe can live like somewhat regular humans. You miss that life, but at least you can live like one of them while serving Her. Swimming your way to the small apartment on the other side of the lake isn’t very far for extremely strong swimmers like you three, and you’re there within the hour. It’s around late evening - roughly around 7 pm, and your thankful that no one will see three teenage-looking girls getting out of the water in soaked clothing.
“I hate that every time, why does She always choose us to kill innocent, young people who have a full life ahead of them? Sure killing older people wouldn’t be better but it sure as hell wouldn’t make me feel bad since they’ll die soon.”  Peisinoe grumbles, her hands clenched into tight fists, the anger building up inside her, and soon enough she’ll want to go swimming. She’s the youngest - just turned 17 - but also the smartest out of all of you since she was turned so late. “Peisinoe, calm down, you and I both know that it’s easier for her to choose young lives than old ones. And they all had that fate coming.” Sapphire explains to her, she’s the oldest - serving the Sea for 21 years, she was also the one who lured you - and you’re thankful you have someone to listen to for wisdom and all that. This small argument happens after every calling, so when you leave once the yelling gets to it’s loudest none of them even hear the back door shut.
“Finally, peace and quiet.” You say to yourself quietly. Getting changed into your swimsuit you sink into the warm water, a long sigh leaving your mouth as you do so until you hear a familiar voice. “I’m telling you Namjoon - that wasn’t a dream, maybe a hallucination but not a dream.” He says, and you cringe, if he recognizes you then you’re dead. Taking a deep breath you go underwater and swim as far away from him as you can without making any above water movement. You can hear them faintly talking until a splash interrupts your thought process. You’re kidding, they can’t be swimming right after a boat sinking that they were a part of, that’s blasphemy you think to yourself, but you're wrong, and you can hear the two men laughing full-heartedly only a few feet away from you. Shit, what do I do now? They’re going to see me! You continue to ramble to yourself. After a long while, you decide to come up for air, realizing your only options are to worry your roommates or to act like you're a regular person - and in the long run only the latter will help you. Thankfully, your voice only lures people in when She needs energy, so you can talk whenever you need to outside of that time.
Coming up, you startle the two men, making them jump away from your direction. “See Namjoon, she was in that so-called “dream” you were talking about, it must’ve been real!” He calls his friend out, raising his arms up in the air triumphantly. You give Namjoon an odd look, and he simply shrugs mouthing a don’t worry about it before admitting defeat to his friend. “Oh you poor thing, you must be so confused, I’m Kim Seokjin, but you can call me Jin for short, and this is my friend and partner in crime Namjoon.” He explains to you like the past 12 hours never happened, you nod along to his words, introducing yourself.
“I swear I recognize you from somewhere but the odds of you being the almost goddess-like woman I think I saw is too rare. Maybe you’re related or something.” He thinks aloud before continuing to talk. You don’t know how long the conversation went by, but when you walk in the apartment lights are on yet no one seems to be awake. Looking at the clock you realize it’s nearly midnight and you’ll need to go to work tomorrow so you don’t raise any suspicion, especially since flu season doesn’t come around in Seoul very often. Turning off all the lights you head to your room and pass out immediately, with the ethereal face of no other than Kim Seokjin plaguing your dreams.
Your sleep is filled with nightmares, the innocent lives you murdered haunting your mind, making you restless. You can’t sleep, the memories making your insomnia arise, this happens every time, some worse than others but usually the same degree. Walking around the house, both Sapphire and Peisinoe are having the same issue as you, not surprising, ever since your first sinking it’s become a household event. You all nod at each other, not needing to exchange words to understand each other's pain, you all feel it. Sighing deeply, you collapse onto the couch and watch movies until the sun comes up and you can no longer sit comfortably in your small apartment, deciding to go swimming - thankful that Sirens don’t need sleep to survive.
Time goes by quickly, day after day you do the same thing over and over again until you’re all used to the schedule again, with the occasional mass murder you’ve all become so used to, one month, then two, until you see Jin again. He’s walking home from work - you’ve decided - his suit fitting crisp on his broad shoulders and built frame, Namjoon walking beside him, they notice you, and you feel some sort of butterflies in your stomach that’s been accompanying you every time you think of him. Somehow, a conversation starts, and you never want it to end, time slows and you notice how his eyes glimmer a bit more that usual when he looks at you, and you regret ever meeting him. The trouble he could get into if he were to love you - to even feel something for you - would be drastic. But the look in his eyes and the feeling in your stomach feel so alike it scares you and excites you at the same time. Bidding him goodbye you decide to swim, feeling Her presence will be calming, and that's precisely what you need right now.
Feeling the warm water envelope your body is exactly what you need, looking around you make sure no one is around before dipping your head under the water and swimming as far as you can, away from your friends, from Seokjin and Namjoon, from everything. Her presence is apparent, you can feel Her envelope in a warm embrace - like a mother would hug their child - and you feel safe, for a while you just stay there, enjoying the feel of comfort as it settles into your head and flows through your veins.
You need to stop talking to that boy, forget about him y/n. She tells you, and you know She’s right, but it’s infuriating that you’re an adult and still can’t remind yourself that you’re going to get hurt by this man you’ve come to adore. He’s going to hurt you, he’s using you to try and remember what happened that day that you met him, don’t be dumb - that’s not how I raised you. She whispers, every word that comes from Her makes your patience run thinner, She knows it too and that makes everything even worse. C’mon y/n, stop fighting me and just accept this, she continues on, and you’ve had it. “Get out of my head!” You yell underwater, trying to swim away from Her and you get away. Sitting by the dock, you want to cry, the reminder of hoe dumb you’re being creeping up your spine and settling into your brain. You're infuriated, everything is so infuriating, and you want it to just go away for a while, but that never comes.
Hours go by sitting at the dock, and by the time you decide to head in, the sun set and it’s well past midnight.

Connect Two
Tumblr media
Disclaimers: I don't own Coca-Cola (obviously) and I also don't own the gif I used for my header (double obviously) 😁 Creator is credited.
A Note from Kutemouse: I know, I know, I'm supposed to be working on my several Works-in-Progress, not something new. In my defense, I recently attended my class reunion and had a lot of feelings surrounding it, hence this piece of work. JK's character is a lot like the guy I was in love with for all of high school, someone I recently cleared the air with.
This work is raw and unedited (except for a brief spellcheck), so hope you enjoy kutie pies 💜
Age Recommendation: 16+ This is a pretty tame one, kuties.
Genre: Angst, Fluff, High School AU
Warnings: Swears, duh. That's honestly about it. Like I said, tame.

Summary: A party brings you and your old classmates together, including him. Can you reconcile with your feelings?

Connect Two (Angst, Fluff)
The party was, in a word, loud.
Just the way you liked it.
You and your best friends, Roseanne and Lisa, were standing near the couch, sharing drinks, laughing, talking.
“What about him?” Roseanne asked, her Aussie accent piercing through your jumbled thoughts. She raised her finger to a guy who had just entered the room.
You shook your head in disgust. “Ugh, not that guy. I remember him. All he wanted from girls was their virginity.”
“He isn’t even that cute,” Lisa muttered as the said guy in question walked past, tossing a wink towards you and your friends.
You visibly shuddered. “Believe me, you don’t want to touch him with a ten-foot pole.”
“Yeah Rosé,” Lisa teased. “What’s with your taste in guys tonight?”
She tossed a dazed smile back. “Apparently I’m way too drunk to pick anyone.”
“And why are we doing this again?” you sighed. “Thank you guys for your concern, but I don’t need or want to date anyone right now.”
“Who said anything about dating?” Rosé retorted.
“Yeah, fuck that noise,” Lisa added. “We’re trying to find someone for you to spend the night with.”
“I don’t think so,” you muttered, taking a sip from your cup in the hopes that it would help you tolerate your besties’ antics.
You had been invited to a party near your parents’ house by some old schoolmates, where you knew several people from your class would likely show up. So far, you hadn’t seen too many people you knew, but the ones you did were ones you only knew in passing. You had transferred into your school only three years before graduating. Everyone else had formed their own friends and cliques, and you had different tastes than most of the student population, anyway. Where was your group of nerdy, animé-loving schoolmates?
Oh, that’s right. There were only three of you, and the other two lived abroad, leaving you here to fend for yourself. You were just glad that he wasn’t here. You hadn’t seen him since graduation five years ago, and ever since then, you’d been rehearsing the same speech over and over in your mind.
I’m sorry.
Lisa audibly gasped, gripping your arm tight. “Where?” Rosé asked, looking over your shoulder. She too loudly gasped and grabbed your other arm.
“What?” you asked, glancing between their faces. “What?!”
Lisa slowly raised a finger, pointing behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see him walking by. “Shit!” you mumbled, turning quickly back around, heat rising to your cheeks. Of course. Just when you thought you were in the clear.
Rosé looked at you incredulously. “Wait, Y/n, do you… know him?”
To say the least. You had only spent every single minute of those three years in love with him. Back then, he had cherry red hair that did nothing to take away from his bright, shy smile and the ever-present mischievous sparkle in his dark eyes. You remembered the first time you met him.
You were standing in line with your best guy friend, Hoseok, to get food. The crowd inside the gymnasium was tumultuous with all their chattering, cheering, cat-calling. You were glad to get a reprieve from the noise, even if it was brief.
“Hey, Jungkook!” Hoseok called out. “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Hey Hobi,” a quiet voice said back. You turned to see him, a shy smile on his face as he stuck his hands in his trouser pockets. His dark eyes slid over to you, giving you a curious once-over. And just like that, every wall you had up fell. You had to get to know this boy.
“Oppa,” you muttered, nudging Hoseok.
“What?”
“Introduce us,” you hissed.
Hoseok smirked. “Jeon Jungkook, this is L/n Y/n.”
You turned and gave him a bright smile, which on second thought, might not have been the best thing. Jungkook looked extremely nervous. “H-Hi,” he stammered out, his voice cracking.
However, you were determined not to let his shyness get in the way of what could potentially be an epic romance.
“Hi,” you said back, holding out your hand. He took it gingerly, his grip gentle as your intertwined hands briefly touched.
You shook the memory away, your hair falling into your face. “Oh my god, you do know him,” Rosé said. “No way. Were you friends?”
“You should introduce us,” Lisa added, twirling her hair around her finger.
“Not a fucking chance,” you muttered. You tipped your cup into your mouth only to find it frustratingly empty. “Hang on, I need another drink.”
You made your way to the kitchen, stumbling slightly, when you saw him talking to another girl, laughing and smiling that bright, wide smile. Damn him. He looked even better than he had back in school, which was saying something. His jet-black hair matured him in a way that made your knees weak, casually falling over his left eye and giving him a sultry look. Tattoos now covered his arms and hands, along with a new piercing that went through his right eyebrow. “Holy fuck,” you thought. You placed a hand over your chest as your heart flipped over itself much in the same way it had eight years ago when you saw him for the first time. No longer was his grin shy and withdrawn, but confident and fearless.
His eyes shifted in your direction, connecting with your gaze for a few seconds before sliding back over to the girl he was talking to. Just that small exchange left you reeling. It was like nothing had changed. You still felt that same invisible string connecting both your souls together, tugging you towards him despite you using all your strength to break it. But you knew he didn’t feel the same way.
“Hey guys,” Jungkook said, averting his gaze as he opened his door and gestured inside.
“Hey JK,” Hoseok said. “Ready to have your ass kicked?”
“You wish,” Jungkook shot back, tossing Hoseok a small grin. “H-Hey Y/n.”
“Hey.”
You bit your lip to contain the grin threatening to cover your entire face. After that day at the game, you, Jungkook, Hoseok, and a couple of other guys had sat at the same table for lunch. One of your favorite things to do was to play board games or card games during your break, but what you all looked forward to the most was playing video games together.
You were okay, kind of ranging in the middle of the pack, but it was one of the only ways you could spend time with Jungkook. You loved who he became while you were playing video games. He turned from a shy, soft-spoken teenager to someone who knew what he was doing and knew he was good at it. Really good.
“On your left,” he called, directing you and Hoseok effortlessly. You glanced at him. He’d dyed his hair to an attractive brunette, and had obtained a couple new ear piercings. You inhaled sharply as he bit his lip in concentration, eyes focused intently on the screen.
“Y/n!” Hoseok groaned as the screen went grey.
“Oh, oh, my bad,” you said, ripping your gaze away from Jungkook.
“It’s okay, it’s time for a snack break anyway,” Jungkook said, standing up.
“I’ll help,” you said, feeling a fresh wave of confidence wash over you. Last year, you were the awkward new girl with braces and glasses that magnified your eyes in an unattractive way, but this year was the year Jungkook noticed you. You had gotten contacts, learned how to use makeup, gotten your braces off, and learned how to style your hair to frame your face in a cute way. This was the year you made your feelings known.
You followed Jungkook to the kitchen, watching his broad shoulders as he towered above you. He’d definitely grown a lot in the past year. And his smell… so enticing. You didn’t know what kind of cologne he used, you just knew you wanted to buy buckets of it to inhale from.
Jungkook opened the fridge. “What kind of soda do you want? I have Coca-Cola, cherry, grape…”
You were barely listening. All you could do was stare at him, his flawless, creamy skin beckoning to you. The string you felt connecting your souls tugged you forward, giving you the confidence you needed to take things to the next level. You stepped close just as Jungkook was closing the fridge door and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
Jungkook dropped the can, letting it clatter on the floor.
He looked at you, his mouth parted open. “Y/n…?” he asked weakly.
You placed your hands over your mouth, shocked at yourself. “I’m… I’m sorry,” you said, turning and fleeing the room.
You nearly crashed into Hoseok. “Hey, what’s the rush?” he joked, placing his hands on your shoulders to steady you.
“Whoa,” he said, noticing your blown pupils and heaving chest. “Are you okay, Y/n?”
“Yeah,” you said breathlessly, holding a hand to your forehead. “I mean, I think so. Feeling a bit light-headed.”
“Want me to take you home?”
“N-No, I have my car, I just need a minute.”
“Yo JK,” Hoseok said, looking over your shoulder. You didn’t dare turn around. “Can you get Y/n some water? And make sure she gets home safely? I know she’s been staying up really late to study. I’d do it myself, but I’ve gotta go home to watch my little sister. My mom was just called into work.”
“Sure th-thing.”
Concern took over Hoseok’s features. “You okay?”
“Yep,” Jungkook replied, his voice much too high.
Hoseok didn’t look convinced, but he left you both anyway after saying his goodbyes. “I’d better go too,” you said, turning.
“Wait.”
You turned, hope blooming in your chest. Jungkook’s dark eyes caught the light as he stepped close, wide and earnest. He gently took both your hands in his and squeezed. Tingles exploded across your body, like mini-fireworks of every color lighting up your insides. “Y/n, I know you l-like me,” Jungkook stammered. “But I have to tell you something…”
The fireworks inside you fizzled out, your eyebrows drawing together as you anticipated his next words. “I like someone else.”
You slid your hands out of his. “What?”
“I like someone else,” he repeated, looking away from you.
You scoffed. Of course he liked someone else. There were a hundred other girls he could pick from, all of them prettier than you, smarter than you, better than you in every way.
“I’m sorry, Y/n.”
“For what?” you said, your voice hoarse. “It’s not your fault. You can’t help how you feel.”
Jungkook finally looked at you again, pity in his eyes. You turned away, hating that he felt sorry for you. For you! He should feel sorry for himself.
You closed your eyes, willing the anger away. You meant what you said. This wasn’t Jungkook’s fault. He couldn’t help who he loved or didn’t love.
“I’ve got to go,” you muttered, turning away.
“Wait, Y/nー”
“For what?” you said, whirling around to look him in the eyes. “For you to love me back? That’s never gonna happen, soー”
“You love me?”
“Shit,” you said under your breath. “No, I-I’m confused, what I meant wasー”
Jungkook took a step away from you, his face screwed up in distress. “Y/n… I’m sorry, I don’t feel the same way.”
You shrugged. “Okay. That’s fine. It’s fine. We’re fine.”
You grabbed your things and opened the door, the tears welling up fast.
“Did I fuck up?” Jungkook asked quietly from behind you. “Are we still friends?”
You turned back, your eyes shining with tears that hadn’t spilled yet. “Yes, we’re still friends,” you choked out. “I’ll see you at school.”
“Want a drink?”
You were shaken out of the memory by a guy standing in front of you that you didn’t recognize. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I asked if you wanted a drink,” he said, his voice filled with amusement. You sized the guy up. He was cute. Not really your type, but maybe you could make the most of tonight with a guy like him.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, causing you to turn. You were expecting Rosé or Lisa, but instead felt ice run through your veins as Jungkook’s dark irises met your own. “Dude, I think your girlfriend is looking for you,” he said pointedly.
The guy snorted and left, tossing a glare in Jungkook’s direction.
“I didn’t need saving,” you snapped, brushing Jungkook’s hand away.
“I know. I just wanted to talk to you.”
“So talk.”
One side of Jungkook’s mouth lifted in a halfhearted smirk. “C’mon Y/n, you already know what I want to talk about.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Do I?”
“Don’t you remember?” he asked, stepping closer. “Graduation?”
You blinked and glanced down at the floor, painful memories pushing past all the walls you’d built to hold them back.
“Congrats Y/n,” Jungkook said, holding his diploma, smiling shyly at you. Your heart skipped a beat. Despite everything, you were still in love with him. He had grown even taller, and his hair was now dyed a sandy brown with blonde streaks. He’d grown into his smile a bit, and had even grown confident enough to sport a bit of eyeliner that attractively set off his dark eyes.
“Congrats to you!” you said enthusiastically. “We did it!”
“We did, huh?”
The awkwardness between you two grew. Even after three years of spending time together, it seems neither of you could keep the conversation flowing. “Hey, can I talk to you? In private?” Jungkook asked suddenly.
Your mouth parted open in surprise. “S-Sure.”
You both stepped out into the darkened hallway, the only light coming from a few windows further down. “I figured I should be honest with you,” Jungkook said, looking down at his feet. “Remember when you kissed me a year ago?”
You blushed profusely. “N-No,” you said, cursing your shaky voice. Of course you remembered. How could you forget? It’s not like your feelings had changed. Despite him rejecting you, Jungkook still held the number one spot in your heart. Sure, you’d dated other guys and done your best to get over him, but that string was still there, connecting you to him, wrapped around your very soul.
“I told you I liked someone else.”
“Oh, yeah, that’s right,” you said. “I r-remember now.”
One side of his mouth lifted in a half-smile. He saw right through you, and you both knew it. “Well, that girl was Aubry.”
You resisted rolling your eyes. Of course it was. She was only the prettiest girl in your class. You didn’t know a single guy who hadn’t had a crush on her at one point or another. Aubry was not only extremely beautiful, but extremely nice as well. She’d stood up for you a couple times when her more snobby friends made rude comments toward you. As far as you knew, she’d stayed single your entire school career. She was a free spirit, a kite that wanted to break free from its string. You knew she wanted to travel and do volunteer work in less fortunate countries, not stay here and be in some relationship that would likely end in disaster anyway.
“She rejected me.”
Again, you resisted rolling your eyes. You saw that coming a mile away.
“But I never stopped loving her.”
“Jungkook, why are you telling me all this?” you asked impatiently. Your friends and family were waiting on the other side of the door, why were you here letting your emotions get torn to shreds?
“Because,” he said, twisting his hands around each other nervously. “Because I wanted to tell you I was wrong.”
You blinked at him. “Wrong? About what?”
“About turning you down. I should have given you a chance.”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. “Wh-What?”
“I was so fixated on Aubry, I ignored everyone else,” Jungkook muttered. “But as far as being with you went… I can’t say I didn’t think about it.”
Silence built a wall between you two. “Are you… Are you serious?” you finally said.
Jungkook nodded.
You scoffed. “What the hell, Jungkook? You couldn’t have told me this earlier? We’re graduating! It’s too late!”
“I know. You’re going off to college abroad, and I’m focusing on my singing career. We’re going totally different directions, but I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t at least tell you.”
“Wow. You couldn’t have left well enough alone, could you?” you said, emotion clogging up your throat. “You just had to get one more painful memory in.”
“What? No, that’s not what Iー”
“Fuck you, Jungkook.”
His mouth dropped open in shock. “Wait, Y/nー”
“No!” You cut him off, holding a hand up. “You don’t get to break my heart like that again. Fuck you!”
You threw open the door and ran through it, angrily swiping at the tears that had finally spilled over.
“Yeah, about that,” you said, pushing the memory back down into the dark recesses of your mind. “Sorry I told you to fuck off.”
“Uh, I believe your exact words were, ‘Fuck you, Jungkook.’”
You rolled your eyes. “Whatever.”
Jungkook smirked before taking a sip from his cup. “Are you here alone?”
You folded your arms. “Maybe.”
He chuckled. “If you are, I’d like to keep talking to you, if that’s okay.”
You bit your lip to contain the smile that surfaced at his words. “Sure.”
Jungkook grinned back at you, melting your insides like butter tossed into a hot pan. That string that had always linked the two of you began to thicken, building strand upon strand with each flirtatious comment, each meaningful look, each chuckle and laugh. Maybe this would ramp up into an epic romance, or maybe this would merely turn into a beautiful friendship, but either way, your connected souls would never part ways again.

the best of me | jk

description: i worry that i wasted the best of me on you
Tumblr media
Sitting on the kitchen floor with a half empty bottle of vodka at your side wasn’t how you planned your New Year’s Eve. Staring at the kitchen cabinet with a vacant expression wasn’t how you wanted it to go either, yet here you were alone, and empty. The sound of people in the streets screaming and cheering drunkenly as the clock got closer to midnight was the only thing keeping your mind present and not drifting your thoughts to him. His large eyes and wide smile that could capture a crowd’s attention in an instant. His laugh that would roar across a room with delight causing others to smile and laugh themselves. Everything about him seemed perfect, but you should have known that there was no such thing as perfect and someone pretending to be perfect would eventually slip.
And slip he did, right through a thick piece of ice.
Not literally of course, the heat in your country heated the water before it even had a chance to drop to such a temperature to freeze. No, his perfect façade faded. One day it was good morning texts, the next it was you asking if he was okay and him not replying till 4pm in the afternoon with one word – not even bothering to ask if you were okay. Trying to get a conversation out of him was like trying to squeeze shit through a straw, completely pointless. Yet there you were, trying and holding onto what was left. The hopeless romantic in you refusing to believe that it had fizzled out and he was no longer interested in spending time with you or wanting to know how your day had gone.
Just silence.
‘You’re so young, don’t worry about it’. Young? Yes. Tired? Exhausted. You had been known for the theatrics and anytime you tried to explain how tired and drained you were, they simply scoffed and told you that you’d be over it before you know it. It was easy for them, their husbands, wives, partners were their first or their second. Yet, you had a long history of short relationships that lead nowhere and were often fake while they chased who they really wanted. Then you met him. Over a year you had him where you wanted him to be and it felt nice to be able to tell people you had someone and it to be still the same the next time you spoke. He fit perfectly into the life you had imagined, never asking for too much and never expecting too little. Perfect.
Or was it really perfect? Did you see what you wanted to see? Did you ignore the signs he gave and pushed them back? Of course, if you didn’t then you wouldn’t be sitting on the kitchen floor, half drunk and thinking of every little thing he did – or didn’t do.
He did bring you your favourite food whenever he could. He did tell you what he liked most about you. He did support everything you did. He did protect you at every chance and he did introduce you to his friends as soon as you agreed. He respected who you were and the boundaries you had set. He did make you laugh, and a smile would always grace your face when his name was mentioned, or he walked into a room.
He didn’t tell you he loved you till you would. He wouldn’t go out of his way to see you when he was free. He did put his friends first. He did make you cry without knowing. He didn’t answer calls when you needed him most.
But that’s normal, right? He had his life to live, he couldn’t drop everything to run at your beck and call. So why did you? Why were you first on the scene when his smile fell? Why were you the first to schedule a date? Why was it always you telling him you loved him first, and sometimes only you?
“You’re being very dramatic,” Sasha says walking into the kitchen in her new year’s outfit.
“Is that right?” you reply in a monotone voice.
“You should come to the party! Everyone is going to be there, it’ll be fun.”
“I don’t feel like fun.”
“You don’t look like much fun,” Enya jokes walking into the kitchen, clearly not reading the room. Sasha shoots her a glare before returning her attention to you.
“Come on, I have a dress you can wear.”
“No thanks,” you say, “I’m good here.”
She sighs and looks at Enya with a concerned look, Enya simply shrugged in return before turning on her heels and walking out of the kitchen.
“Y/N,” she says kneeling down in front of you, “This isn’t going to help you.”
“I don’t want it to,” you reply, “I just want to feel it out.”
“You’ve been feeling it out for 3 months.”
“We were together for a year, I have another 3 to go,” you tell her. Half the relationship time and that is how long you’re allowed to feel sad about it they say.
“That’s a terrible phrase,” she groans standing up, “I’ll leave the dress and shoes by the door if you change your mind. Change into the clothes, don’t come in that.”
You look down at the dirty sweatpants and oversized jumper before meeting eye contact, “But this is such a look.”
“I’m not going to tell you what you look like,” she smiles before checking her bag, “We’re going.”
“Have fun.”
“We will!” Enya shouts opening the front door, “Fuck it’s freezing!”
“They think it’ll snow,” Sasha says, “Unusual for here since it’s always so hot.”
“Reverse global warming,” Enya laughs.
“I wish,” Sasha groans walking out of the kitchen, “Bye Y/N!”
You picked up the half empty bottle of vodka and took another swig before groaning and kicking it away from you. Everything felt bad and smelt bad if they got too close to you. Half of you hated what you had become and the other loved the miserable, empty feeling that resided. But Sasha was right, even though you hated to admit it. You needed to feel something different than the empty yearning feeling, and maybe a party surrounded by people who were too drunk to care that you were quiet would do the trick.
Right?
Wrong. The music was loud, the people were a lot drunker than first anticipated and to make it worse you forgot that the whole point of New Year’s Eve was the midnight kiss. You could always hide in a toilet or on a balcony while it happened, but there was something about it that made you feel a lot worse than just standing around watching everyone kiss a stranger.
“You’re here!” Sasha screams letting go of Hoseok’s hand, “And you smell nice!”
“I showered,” you reply as she shook you left to right excitedly, “Where’s Enya?”
“Her and Taehyung are playing a game of who can drink the most shots in a minute. She lost the first two rounds, she’s determined now.”
“Jeez, how many did Taehyung drink?”
“1, she couldn’t finish them,” Sasha laughs spilling her drink, “Shit! Come on let’s both get a drink.”
“I think I’ve had enough,” you say as she pulls you between the crowd of people.
“You had two swigs of vodka, that’s just a double!”
“Three.”
“Well drink a coke or something then,” she says throwing a can at you, except it misses and goes straight into the back of the person behind you.
“I’m so sorry!” Sasha screams.
“That really hurt!” she cries dramatically, you thrown as you pick it up off the floor as the boy, she was with crouches down with you.
“Thanks,” you mumble as your hand meets his over the can, a spark ran up your arm and you immediately knew who’s hand you had touched. His.
“Shit,” Sasha whispers from behind you.
“Y/N,” Jungkook smiles sadly.
“Yeah, hi,” you say taking the can off him and walking out of the kitchen. The first time you see him, and he was with someone else… and she was a lot prettier than you could ever imagine to be.
“No wait,” he says following you through the crowd and onto the balcony.
“What?” you ask trying to freeze your now piping hot cheeks.
“Your bright red,” he replies worryingly, “Are you okay?”
“Just hot,” you say putting the cold can to your cheek.
He laughs and looks at you intently, “I’m not with her by the way. She was asking me about my shirt.”
“She was flirting with you.”
“No, she wasn’t.”
You sit on the cold, hard floor, and groan, “Yes she was Jungkook.”
“Oh, I didn’t realise.”
“Of course, you didn’t,” you say lifting your head and closing your eyes. You feel his body sit down next you as he shifts awkwardly.
“How have you been?”
“The usual.”
He nods his head, “I deserve that.”
“Deserve what?” you groan.
“The coldness.”
“Yeah, you do,” you say looking at him, “Tell me, did I deserve it?”
“No, you really didn’t.”
“Didn’t think so.”
It fell silent once more as he fiddled with his hands in front of him.
“I’m sorry,” he says breaking the silence.
“You’re 3 months too late.”
“I feel like I’m 6 months too late. I didn’t treat you the best towards the end.”
“Well, you were trying to give me a clue,” you tell him with a sigh.
“No, I wasn’t. I was really struggling with university and work and I lost sight of who I was and who I had around me. I took a lot for granted.”
You shrug your shoulders as you watched everyone inside laugh and practically fall over each other. Yet here you were, on a balcony with your ex-boyfriend who was apologising over and over.
“No offense Jungkook, but I don’t want anymore apologies. They’re pointless,” you interrupt, “You can’t apologise for being an asshole 3 months after being one.”
“I know, you like action not words,” he says, “How can I show you?”
“By being considerate to your next girlfriend,” you tell him standing up, “And telling her you love her from time to time.”
“I love you,” he says, “I did then, I do now, and I will – forever and always,” Jungkook says before you opened the door to the party. Turning to look at him you saw the sincere, nervous look he had when you first met.
“Tell it to your next one,” you reply opening the door and pushing through the crowd. He didn’t come after you and you didn’t expect him to. The words you had left him with were harsh, but at least he knew how it felt to not have the person you love say it back.
Now it was time to focus on not losing what is left of you and stopping the anxiety you felt when you looked back at everything you had given him.
Except just one thought lingered as you walked home.
Had you wasted the best of you on him?

Warnings: whoops attempted* angst ;0 other than that, none
Song inspos: it’s ok if you forget me, Astrid S (but imagine the exact opposite of what she sings) & mess it up, Gracie Abrams :’)
Word count: 1,500+
Summary: Jimin notices way too much about you, while you don't notice nearly enough about him. He also needs to invest in some hoodies.
a/n: hi hii :) this is my first completed fic i've writen on here, or anywhere at all for that matter kaplskjjs ahh i really hope you like it. Let me know what you think, feedback is super super welcome!! there is a flashback that's written in italics, and i took ridiculously long trying to come up with a summary which i'm sTILL iffy about. i'm also new on here so let's be frens :))
______________________________________________________________
Park Jimin has never regretted something more in his life. Sure there was the time when he hadn’t listened to his mom when she told him not to climb that one tree in their backyard, which ended with him in a very itchy cast and a long scolding from his mom. Now, years later, he wished his mom had warned him before he gave you a part of him you’d never want or need; his heart.
It’s not like he didn’t know what he was getting himself into, he knew you held his heart in your small hands (even smaller than his, HA! ) and he thought he didn’t care. Oh how naive he’d been to think that.
2 months ago:
It had been exactly seven months and three days since he realized he was in love with you, his best friend of six years. You had cried in his arms over Aaron? Adam?? He couldn’t really remember who it was this time.
“Why won’t he love me?” His heart breaks as you look at him as though you really want an answer. “Why won’t any of them love me?”
His fingers twitch at your waist. He wants to scream about how much he loves you but he refrains, settling instead for a small pained smile. He doesn’t try to say anything, not trusting himself to not ask you the exact same question. Why won’t you love him? He hugs you harder into his chest as a new wave of tears rack through your body.
He was wearing the purple hoodie you’d once mentioned you loved seeing him in. It was beginning to fray on the left shoulder where you’d always lean into while you cried. Not that you’d notice anyway, but he always wore it when you called with a shaky voice and he invited you over. It felt like it was yours, same as his heart.
He didn’t know how you couldn’t see it. The way he’d drop anything and everything for you. Let you pick any version of himself, let you mould him in any way if it would get you to love him back. He’d always adored you, and somewhere along the line you’d subliminally snatched his heart.
Maybe you’d never love him the way he did you, but he had hope. His heart was big enough. No matter how long it took, how many times you unknowingly broke it, he’d always have enough left to give to you.
He watched you cry and only when you finally curled up, something between a wheeze and a snore coming from you did he speak.
“I love you, i love you forever. Promise.”
He knew you hadn’t even heard the promise he’d made to you two months ago, yet he couldn’t help but feel guilty knowing he needed to break it. His friends knew him to be very loving, very selfless, he feels selfish now. He’s leaving merely to save his own heart, breaking yours (though for a totally different reason) in the process.
He’d watched as you gave your heart to different men, never once thinking to give it to him. He was never even an option for you and that hurt. You couldn’t blame him for falling for you, not when you cared so deeply for everyone continuously giving your heart no matter how many times it broke you just gave and gave. The two of you are similar in that sense.
Loving you is painful, like he’s bursting into flames and freezing at the same time. He can’t keep this up. He doesn’t know how to act around you anymore. Hugging you was never a problem, everyone knows how touchy and affectionate he is, however every hug he’s given you in the last few months, he doesn’t know what to do with his hands. He usually wears his heart on his sleeve, now he feels he needs to constantly check himself hoping you didn’t catch him smiling dopily in your direction.
Jimin couldn’t talk to you without wondering if something he said sounded suspiciously like an ‘i love you’. He couldn’t even listen to his favourite songs anymore, they all reminded him of you, probably because you introduced him to most of them, it hurt all the same.
Had he fallen out of line when he kissed you on the cheek days ago?
He remembers thinking he was invincible when he made that promise, thinking his heart could take it. He also remembers you saying you’d never love someone as much as Andrew? What was his name damnit?
He noticed everything about you, and frankly he was tired. He needed some time to think, to rebuild his heart. To un-notice everything.
He zips up his suitcase, the moving van would be by in a bit to pick up the remaining boxes. The daisies on his windowsill that you got him for his birthday last year are drying up, he notices with a sigh. With one last glance at the room he releases his grasp on the purple hoodie and walks out the front door.
He hasn’t answered your calls all day, and he probably wouldn’t for a while... not that you know that. You think nothing of it as you drive up to his house, eyes puffy from all the crying you’ve been doing. Alex had just called asking to take a break, something about you being too intense and you couldn’t help but replay every moment in your head wondering where you went wrong. You badly needed to rant to your support system otherwise known as Jimin, craving one of his hugs.
You don’t even notice his black Porsche missing from his driveway. And you don’t think much of it when he doesn’t answer the door, simply pulling out the spare key he gave you for moments just like this.
You do, however, notice the emptiness of his house. Where in the heck did his couch go? And why is his house so cold? Where are all the pictures of the two of you and his family that decorated his walls. You’re beginning to get frantic as you search through room after room for something, anything to make this less real. To show you he’ll be back shortly. That he didn’t just up and leave.
Whatever the reason, you’re sure you can get him to come back, or at least talk to you. “Chim?” Your voice echoes through his hallway. Your converse screech on the bare floor and you’re running down the hall to his bedroom. You’re stumbling now, eyes blurry with tears and you call out again “Jimin?” He was really gone.
You only just catch yourself before you hit the ground. You stare at the purple material that had snagged your foot. A purple hoodie lies by you on the floor. You’re sobbing.
Jimin swears the distance between his house and where he’d parked his car a block away wasn’t this long. He’s panting as he grips the door handle, stumbling inside with sweat making his recently dyed-pink hair stick to his forehead.
It was definitely rash of him to just leave the hoodie behind. It was too sentimental to just leave here to collect dust until the landlord discovered it. He missed it already. It smelt partially of you after all your cuddling sessions, and as embarrassing as it might sound, he needed it.
He jogs down the hallway, all the memories the two of you had here send a pang straight to his chest that has him tripping over his feet. That’s when he hears it. Sniffling. Someone was sniffling in his house. More curious than scared, the boy takes cautious steps past the bathroom and towards his bedroom.
His hand comes to rest over his heart, when he sees a head of long pink hair, shade identical to his save for the few bleached streaks he’d missed when the two of you had dyed each other’s hair. His fingers itch to bring you to his chest. You were crying. Because of him.
He reaches out to touch you, his first instinct being to pull you into him, but he stops in his spot when the floorboards beneath him creak. He waits for you to whip around and hug him, maybe scream at him for scaring you with his absence like that. His face scrunches up at your words.
“I can’t do this without you, why would you just leave?”
Jimin has to press a hand into his mouth to keep the sob threatening to expose him silent. Why was he not surprised. Of course you hadn’t noticed how much he’d been struggling the past few months. How his love for you far surpassed that of a best friend. He doesn’t know why he thought you might have noticed. In fact, when was the last time he’d talked to you about his problems?
Whatever fragments there are left of his heart ache. He suddenly misses his mom. Misses her scolding more than anything else, that would hurt much less than this does.
Jimin does what he knows he must.
Like most Jimin related things, you don’t notice what hoodie it is, don’t notice the frayed shoulder, and you most certainly don’t notice the boy who had come back for the hoodie backing away, quiet tears running down his face.

[ ‘Spring Day, ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : Jungkook x Reader
word count : 3,828 words
warnings : character accident, character death, major angst (especially at the end), fluff, suggestive (idk?)
a/n : WOAH HI THERE ! This is my first au inspired by me playing spring day on loop by accident. But I hope to get better later on. I hope you guys enjoy this :>
Concert Day.
Today was the most exciting and most awaited day during these past few months. From the moment you scored your ticket online, to the very second that you stood in front of the concert hall.
Hands shaking, you take deep breaths to calm yourself down. This was your very first concert and the more steps you took the more you shook from excitement. “Hey wait up!” your best friend Ryunjin says as she runs up behind you.
Both of you were all prepared for the event, lightsticks in hand and throat ready for the deafening screams you’ll be sounding tonight. “Remind me again why you’re shaking?” she says as grabs your arm to drag you to the front section of the concert hall. “Why wouldn’t I be? Seven gorgeous men who I didn’t believe were real, still won’t until I see them, are going to perform in front of us. How are you not?” you asked, giving her a questioning look then turning away as you looked towards the stage.
“Fair point”
As soon as you knew it the venue was fully packed as the concert was starting. The lights started illuminating the venue, and the screams of all the armies around you filled the room. Next thing you knew they were performing their first song. The fire surrounding them made them look way more good looking than they already were. As the song progressed you eyes travelled onto Jungkook who sang the first verse after Taehyung. He danced and sang and all of a sudden his eyes were on you.
For that brief moment time slowed down as he gave you a wink. Your cheeks turned a light hue of pink as you continuously started at him. Soon you were brought back into reality when you hear Ryunjin screaming “OH MY GOSH Y/N DID YOU SEE THAT? JUNGKOOK JUST WINKED AT ME!” while repeatedly shaking your shoulders violently. You chose to push past what just happened because the chances were low that it was meant for you.
The concert was going great and you felt as if you wouldn’t have a voice the following day from all your screaming. From all the energy from the song that previously played the lights dimmed to prepare the atmosphere for the  upcoming song. The familiar tune of pied piper started playing in the background, and they gleamed even with their sweaty selves as the spotlights shown onto the group.
Jungkook started the song really into it, it was captivating as he closed his eyes holding onto his mic. As Namjoon started his rap Junkook’s eyes scanned over the crowd and stopped once his eyes met yours. His lips lifted up into a smirk as he broke the eye contact. I really must be imagining things you told yourself as your eyes moved onto Taehyung and Jin doing the pre-chorus. You glance at Ryunjin who’s just staring at Taehyung in awe. “Y/N  I don’t know what it is but the way Taehyung just stares into your soul as he sings just makes my heart do things.” you both laughed as she continuously stared.

“Neol guhareo on geoya (i’m here to save you)
Neol mangchireo on geoya (i’m here to ruin you)
Niga nal bureun geoya bwa (you’re the one who called me, see?)
daljanha (i’m so sweet)
Pirisoril ttarawa (follow the sound of the pipe)”
That entire he sang those lyrics he kept stealing glances until reached the final line of the chorus. “I’m taking over you.”
Your heart started to beat faster in your chest and your mind started becoming fuzzy. The rest of the song you were thinking about what just happened until he sang the bridge and held the eye contact with you the entire time.
Geurae naega jom wiheomhae (yeah i’m a bit dangerous)
Nado nareul gamdang moshae (i can’t handle myself either)
Geokjeong ma naui soneun (don’t worry my hands are warm)
Neoegeman ttatteushae ttatteushae (warm only to you)
As soon as he broke the eye contact at the end of his part you felt very flustered and you bit your lip in confusion. You looked back at Jungkook who tried to bite back a smile while walking to his place as they started to dance.
-------------
Soon the concert was over and the whole group was waving goodbye as they used the platform that brought them to the stage underneath. The fireworks that lit up the sky and the final chorus singing of the crowd filled the room. With tears brimming in your eyes “Wasn’t that amazing?” you asked as you turned to Ryunjin. “Best night of my life” she says with a wide grin on her face.
As you exit the concert hall you and Ryunjin agree to go grab some Ice cream outside before heading home. The walk towards the shop was filled with laughter as you both rewatched the concert through the videos that you took.
Once you’ve arrived you both get your ice creams and sit down in the booth near the window. The shop was a cozy cafe illuminated with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and candles lighting each table.
While you and Ryunjin were talking you hear the bells of the door signalling someone entered the cafe. You turn your head towards the direction of the door to see 2 men come in wearing all black hoodies. Not minding it at first you and Ryunjin continue talking, until one of the hooded men approaches her and whispers something in her ear. Her eyes go wide as she stands up and says “I’ll be right back”.
Taking another bite of your ice cream you open your phone to scroll through instagram to see what you missed these past few hours. It wasn’t until you noticed one of the other hooded men sitting in front of you that you looked up from your screen and gave him a questioning look.
“Who are you?” you asked the stranger as he kept his head low and continued eating his ice cream. “I saw you tonight.” he said his voice sounding awfully familiar but you couldn’t quite place who it was. “I was at a concert I don’t thin-” he cut you off with a chuckle “I saw you at the concert.”
Getting awfully creeped out you stood up from the booth trying to walk away “That’s great but if you don’t mind I actually have to get going now.” As you’re about to turn away the stranger abruptly stands up and grabs your wrist making his hood fall from the sudden movement.
“Wait” you turn to ask what he was doing but as you did you were at a sudden loss of words.
“Jeon Jungkook?” you say too loudly glad that there was no one else in the cafe. “Do you remember me now?” he smiles showing you his bunny smile which made you melt. “You remember me?” you ask, still questioning if this moment was real or if you were dreaming. “You caught my eye the whole night I don’t think you’re that easy to forget. I honestly thought I wasn’t going to see you after the concert but here we are” he says a blush creeping onto his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck.
The silence was cut off when you got a phone call “Hello?” you answered forgetting to check the caller ID. “Is he hot? Are you talking? Did he actually go to you? Did-” you cut her off already knowing who was on the other line “Yes he’s here, where are you”
“Uh I’m just outside with Taehyung.” shocked at how normal your best friend sounded saying that you were about to say something but hearing the phone line disconnect. About to text her Jungkook speaks up again “Actually I have to go in a while we said we were gonna be brief. I was wondering if I could get your number?”
“Oh yeah sure.” As you exchanged your number the bells on the door chimed and in came your best friend with Taehyung laughing. “Jungkook-ah we have to go” Taehyung said as they walked closer.
“All right Hyung. I’m Jungkook by the way and you are?” he said as he extended his hand. Shaking his hand nervously “Y/N, my name’s Y/N”. “Well I’ll text you later Y/N” he says with a wink “See you later Ryunjin” Taehyung says as he and Jungkook walk out of the shop waving their goodbyes.
---------
The next day Jungkook asked you out on a date in a park nearby. Strolling around on that warm spring day “The cherry blossoms are such a nice sight to see” you said admiring the light pink colored flowers that filled the branches of the trees that went on for as far as you could see.
“Yeah such a nice sight to see” Jungkook says turning his head towards you smiling.
For hours you both kept walking through the path getting to know each other, laughing, and having an overall great time with Jungkook. “How do you not like bugs, but like cool bugs? They fall under the same category.” you said holding your stomach from all the laughing you’ve been doing. “Hey! They’re so cool have you seen the way they look?” he says with a pout defending his statement.
After a while as the laughing died down and you just continued talking Jungkook suddenly asks “Can I take you somewhere?” you nod your hand as he interlocks his hands with yours. You could feel the blush creeping over your cheeks and Jungkook’s as well. He brings you to a bridge with cherry blossoms hovering over it.
“This is the romance bridge and I wanted to ask my future girlfriend out here.” he says with so much sparkle in his eyes like he dreamt of this moment as he turns towards you. You smile back and you both turn away to look at the people walking on the pathway below the bridge.
Slowly Jungkook’s hand makes his way to yours and gently interlocks his fingers with yours and a huge grin gets plastered onto his face. “I think I like this bridge” you say looking down and biting your lip to hide the smile forming.
----------
Time figuratively and literally quickly passed every time you were with Jungkook. But he always made sure even the short moments were spent together were as memorable as the last.
“Jungkook noooo you’re gonna spill salt everywhere.” you said as you tried to stop him from doing the salt bae meme. “But it’s essential for the dramatic effect” he says as he tries his best to imitate the meme
As Jungkook mixes the fried rice you were making you continuously stared at him and wondered how you got this lucky to be best friends with this man.
----------
A few months went by in a flash and you and Jungkook have had the best moments and memories spent well together. You and Ryunjin even visited him during his practices to bring food for the whole group. Taehyung and Ryunjin hung out and got closer as well.
You and Ryunjin decided to hang out in a nearby cafe after dropping the food off at the Hybe Labels building and hanging around there for a while. “I wonder when Jungkook’s gonna ask you out.” Ryunjin says as she holds her chin pretending she’s in thought.
“He’s not gonna ask me out, we're just best friends.” you say slapping her shoulder at the mere thought of it. “You’re so dense Y/N you should see the way he looks at you, I don’t think that’s how best friend’s look at each other.” as you were about to reply your drinks were brought to your table.
Thinking about what Ryunjin said you start questioning how Jungkook really felt about you. He was such a sweet person and he always made your day. He knew everything about you and knew how to make you laugh. Sighing you took a sip of your drink thinking Why does this all still feel like a dream?
You pushed past the thought and continued listening to Ryunjin talking about her and Taehyung’s game night the night before.
-----------
A year ago on this spring day you don’t remember much but all you remember were all the fun moments you spent with Jungkook no matter how short or small.
While you were watching whatever you could find on your youtube page late at night, you got a call from Jungkook asking to meet him at the park where you first hung out saying it was an emergency.
Rushing over there worried you frantically looked for Jungkook to find him nowhere to be seen. You ran around the exact path you walked on until you remembered the romance bridge he took you too figuring he might be there.
Once you arrived you saw Jungkook’s back facing away from you and you rush over to him. “Hey Jungkook are you okay-” your sentence dies midway as he turns around with his phone in hand tapping it and music starts to play. He walked toward you with a his bunny smile plastered onto his face
“Jungkook?” you ask as you start shaking out of nervousness. After a few steps towards you Jungkook was standing right in front of you.
Putting his phone in his back pocket he slowly caresses your face and takes a deep breath. “Y/N I’ve been waiting to do this for quite a while now. Remember that time I told you I wanted to ask my future girlfriend out here on romance bridge?” you nod your head as you look around wondering where the girl was.
He holds onto your chin to make you look at him again. “She’s standing in front of me.”
Tears filling your eyes Jungkook finishes his sentence by asking “Y/N will you be my girlfriend and be mine?” waiting for you answer he stares into your eyes searching for an answer.
Next thing you know you leaned in and your lips connected. It was soft and full of love and passion and your lips molded perfectly. It wasn’t full of sparks or fireworks like in the movies but it was the type of kiss that filled your heart and sent your stomach into a frenzy. You pulled away and connected your foreheads. “Does that give you an answer?” he smiles and leaned in again.
It wasn’t until you heard someone say “Finally!” when you broke the kiss and look behind Jungkook to see the entire group there and Ryunjin’s mouth being held by Taehyung for her to keep quiet. “Oh don’t mind us just pretend we aren’t here.” Namjoon says as you both laugh
“I’ll promise to take care of you forever even if forever doesn’t exist” Jungkook whispers into your ear. The wind blows and the cherry blossoms that surround you blow by your side creating a perfect moment, and Jungkook turns you around to hug you from behind as you just stare into the night sky.
---------
Sitting outside a cafe near the Hybe building you waited for Jungkook as he finished practice and was heading to meet you right now.
Scrolling through your phone you look at the new teasers for the upcoming album they’re preparing for and smiled at all the boys who looked amazing in all the photos. While you continued looking you saw a text notification appear from Jungkook saying “Look across the street”
You looked up from your phone and you saw him across the long street that kept you apart. Waiting for the walking sing to go green he jogged toward you with a smile on his face.
Until everything started to go by in a flash.
In movies everything goes by in slow motion when something like this happens. But in reality everything goes by in a blink of an eye. Next thing you knew you were running towards Jungkook who was lying limp on the road. You start screaming for someone to ask for help as you hold his weak body in your arms. Caressing his head you hold him close “Jungkook stay with me please” repeating the words stay with me again and again hoping he wouldn’t lose consciousness.
The sound of sirens increase in volume as the red and blue flashing lights approach you. The back doors of the ambulance open aggressively as two men ready out a stretcher and take Jungkook away from you. Everything was a blur from the way the driver repeatedly apologized to the way the paramedics were telling you everything was going to be alright at the back of the ambulance. You just focused on him and held onto his hands as tears flowed down your face.
“You’re going to be okay”
-----------
Arriving at the hospital Jungkook’s lips turned pale and his eyes were fighting to keep open. You kept holding onto his hand kissing it and telling him that he had to stay strong. You heard him say a breathless “I love you” before taking him into the operating you.
You sat outside the operating room doors and slid down the walls with tears streaming from your eyes not stopping anytime soon.
A few minutes pass and the rest of BTS run in with Ryunjin and the managers. Ryunjin sits beside you and holds you in her chest as you cry even harder. Caressing your head she looks at Taehyung with pain in her eyes seeing you like this.
The wait was hard especially with the atmosphere that was filling the air at that very moment. The managers walking back and forth and some on the phone talking seriously, the members on different parts of the room nervousness written all over their faces, and Ryunjin holding onto while drawing circles on your shoulder to help calm your nerves.
Sooner or later the doctor comes out with a devastated look on his face and before you knew it the tears were back on your face as you ran into the operating room.
“Jungkook you can’t do this to me you promised forever” you said as you fell onto your knees holding onto his hand pleading for him to wake up. You squeezed his hands, not able to face him while softly and repeatedly telling him to wake up through your choked voice from all the crying.
After a while of sitting there you felt his hands squeeze you and you stood up immediately. “Jungkook how are you feeling?” and the next thing you heard “Y/N I’m sorry I didn’t fulfill the promise of forever-” you cut him off by shushing him “It’s okay Jungkook”
Everyone started to fill in the room as they heard his voice but stepping back when they saw the moment between you both. “Everyone I’m sorry, Y/N I’m sorry.” The room was quiet except for the sniffles that could be heard. “Y/N I have something to tell you.” he said weakly as he looks up into your eyes “Anything Jungkook”
“I love you” and as you were about to answer his lips met yours. The kiss was weak but you knew Jungkook gave his all until all his movements became weaker and suddenly the beeping of his heartbeat suddenly stopped. You frantically shook him and held onto him as everyone tried to pull you away.
Soon you met Taehyung’s chest sobbing “I didn’t even get to say it back.” you hugged him tighter saying the words over and over “I didn’t say it back” and you closed your eyes and faded into black.
Suddenly you took a deep breath in and were confused like you were pulled out a trance. You looked around and a bunch of questions popped up in your head. Why were you back in your room? Why was Ryunjin just sleeping on the floor? Where was everyone?
More tears streamed down your eyes as Ryunjin woke up and asked what was wrong. You told her everything and she started rubbing up and down your back saying everything was okay. “It didn’t feel like a dream, it felt so real. I didn’t even say it back Ryunjin, I didn’t say it back.” you said as you hiccuped in her chest.
--------
*cue spring day by BTS*
You waved goodbye as Ryunjin left your place. Eyes puffy from all the crying everything made sense to you now. Why everything went by so quickly and why time moved so fast.
The concert happened the night before but you went straight home with Ryunjin and nothing else happened as you both fell asleep. The dream that took place for a year and a few months merely only happened in a few hours of sleep.
You played music in your airpods and decided to go for a walk. While reflecting on everything that happened you walked up to a familiar park and the song that started playing was Spring Day by BTS.
You opened your phone receiving a notification from the BTS instagram page saying they posted. You opened it while the music played in the background and saw the Jungkook’s teaser photo.
Bogo shipda Ireoke malhanikka deo Bogo shipda (I miss you, when I say that I miss you more)
Neohi sajineul bogo isseodo Bogo shipda (I’m looking at your photo, But I still miss you)
Looking at the cherry blossoms around you you continuously walked with tears in your eyes.
*skip to 3:16 of the song*
You know it all You're my best friend
achimeun dashi ol geoya (The morning will come again)
Eotteon eodumdo eotteon gyejeoldo (because no darkness)
yeongweonhal sun eopseunikka  (and no season can last forever)
You arrived at the romance bridge and more tears flowed out from your eyes.
Beotkkochi pinabwayo (Cherry blossoms are blooming) I gyeouldo kkeuchi nayo (The winter is ending)
Every step you took you get a flash of memories
Bogo shipda (I miss you)
Bogo shipda (I miss you)
To the day he first took you here and you held hands for the first time
Jogeumman gidarimyeon (If i wait a little longer)
Myeochil bamman deo saeumyeon (If I stay up a few more nights)
The moments where he made you laugh from his weird but funny self
Mannareo galge (I’ll go see you)
Derireo galge (I’ll go pick you up)
His bunny smile that get you going
Chuun gyeoul kkeuteul jina (past the end of this cold winter)
dashi bomnari ol ttaekkaji (until spring comes again)
When he asked you to be his on this bridge
Kkot piul ttaekkaji (Untill the flowers bloom again)
Geugose jom deo meomulleojwo (Stay there a little longer)
And When he told you he loved you as his last words even if it was only just a dream
Meomulleojwo (Just stay there)
Suddenly you hear someone panting from the side “Hey are you Y/N? Were you the one in my dream?”

Summary: While you have been working for BTS for a little over a year, you and your boyfriend Taehyung have only officially been together for two and a half months. Everything is going well until he starts tagging along to your shoots with your other clients, Stray Kids.  Are his suspicions correct or is he seeing things?
Pairing:  idol!Taehyung x multi-group-photographerGF!Nari a.k.a. “Burning Film” couple
Rating: PG13
Genre: idol!au, mutual pining, angst, fluff, early relationship, jealousy, coworker!au, work crushes
Word Count: 1, 965
Warnings: angst, fluff, feeling insecure, slight teasing, jealousy,
Author's Note: Here is the "Burning Film" couple again! I have created an oc basically for this storyline of Tae named Nari who represents y/n! It isn't necessary to read BF first but it would help you understand what they've bee through already plus I am proud of it so if you do, let me know what you think! Also, we stan SKZ and Felix in this house so no hate, this was just an idea I've had for awhile. Enjoy!! :)
P.S.- yes I am going to go back into Burning Film and replace y/n with Nari but another time. I have work in like 6 hours so going to catch some sleep hopefully XD
The last three months have been much deserved bliss with your new boyfriend Taehyung; not only do you finally have the man of your dreams, but your work has garnered a plethora of attention earning you the title of official photographer for the kpop group Stray Kids as well! Tae is supportive of your dream but is having a hard time adjusting to you being away from him more than usual. Noticing his demeanor change every time you say you’re going to “other work”, you make a decision as you are getting ready one day.
Nari: “BAAABBEEE!!” – you shout from the bathroom as you put the finishing touches on your outfit.
Tae: rushes to you out of breath “Yes jagiya? Is everything alright?”
Nari: giggles and turns towards him “Yes silly, I didn’t scream fire or anything. Still cute though.”
Tae: kisses the top of your head “Fair enough but I just had to make sure, and you’re the cute one baby. Anyway, why did you summon me?”
Nari: blushes slightly Wellllll, I was going to see if you wanted to accompany me to the Stray Kids photoshoot today. I know it’s been rough having less free time together lately. If not I totally get if it’d be boring for you so no pres-“
Tae: interrupts you by picking you up and spinning you around “Oh I’d love to y/n that’s such a great idea!!! I’ve always wished I could see the magic behind the camera so this is perfect! I’ll meet you by the car in 5 minutes, you’re the best!”
You can’t help but chuckle at how puppy-like he could be, but it was endearing that he wanted to understand what you did for a living. In true gentleman fashion, he opens your door when you get to the SKZ location, carries your equipment inside for you, and even brings you a water and an easy snack for while you work. Halfway through the shoot, you tell the guys to take a 10-minute break so you can assess what else you need and so they can grab a snack as well.
Tae has been waiting nearby during the shoot in case you need anything, so he takes this opportunity to use the restroom and refill his water. As he returns he sees you talking with Han, Bang Chan, and Felix, which was fine until he heard Felix exclaim, “Woah Gracie, I love you for that!”. He doesn’t say anything, but he is not thrilled about the fact that he of all people has a special nickname for you. Before today he had no issues with the guy, so what changed? You and Nari will find out soon enough don’t worry!
The shoot comes to an end about a half hour later and Tae can’t help you pack up and get out of there fast enough. I mean, you can’t really blame him since y’all have been there for close to 5 hours but it’s not like he hasn’t had longer shoots. Guess time is more of a drag when you aren’t an active participant. In any case, after picking up a quick bite y’all are home bound! As soon as he puts the car in park you can tell something is different. He uncharacteristically grabs his meal and goes inside before you can even open your door. Chalking it up to him being hangry and missing Yeontan, you give a tired exhale and head inside.
As you kick off your shoes and scan the house, you don’t see Tae anywhere; you peak into the living room and his room because he likes to eat in there sometimes but still no luck. Assuming he must have something to work on after hearing him in his studio, you resign yourself to eating at the kitchen island alone with Yeontan peacefully asleep at your feet.
After eating, you shuffle to his studio door looking for some company, but your knocks are met with silence then a “C’mon Nari, can’t you tell I am busy right now? I’ll be out when I’m done, go watch TV or something aish!”. Tears pricking behind your eyes, you give a quiet “oh, okay sorry I won’t bother you anymore love…” before you walk away and curl up on the couch listening to calming lo-fi music as you try to quiet your brain. You didn’t do anything to make him upset as far as you can recall so unless something gets brought to your attention, you decide to enjoy the rest of your afternoon doodling in your notebook.
The sun has long set, and you can’t remember when you passed out on the couch exactly before you got awoken abruptly by the loud opening of Tae’s studio door and him stomping to take Yeontan on a walk. You are less in a daze when he comes back and are just looking up pleadingly at him only for him to bark out a “what?!” and in return you croak out an unconvincing “nothing” just for him to scoff at you. “Yeah sure, you’ve looked pitiful since we fucking got home. What’s the problem huh? Miss your strays?”.
You blink wide-eyed “what the hell are you talking about? You’re the one who has been in a shitty mood since a random point in the shoot. You wanna tell me what’s going on?” He sits in the big armchair near you, running his hands through his hair then gets up and paces for a good 3 minutes before sitting back down with his elbows on his knees and hands clasped; deeply sighing, he finally reveals the truth.
You sniffle, heart pounding in anticipation trying to look strong even though you were terrified you had blinked wrong or something and were about to be single. He takes a long sip of water then glares up at you, “So you wanna know what’s going on huh? Well, I don’t ‘knaur’ Gracie, what is going on?” Confusion shadows your features as you meet his eyes, “Why did you ask like that and why on earth did you call me Gracie???” He darkly chuckles and says, “Oh, is that an issue?” Nari rolls her eyes and says “Why are you laughing first of all? And it isn’t an issue per say, it just shocked me because you have never called me that once since we’ve met.”
Tae leans back in his chair manspreading trying to affirm his authority and explains, “Well, here goes and don’t you fucking interrupt me. If you somehow have questions, be a patient little cheater and wait until I’m done okay?” You nod in anticipation trying to stay strong and not react to his accusation yet. “Well, whatever name you’re going by, you are right. I haven’t been in the best mood, and it wasn’t a ‘random point’, it was when you had called for a 10-minute break. I had returned from the bathroom and saw you had relocated from our spot to near the Aussies and Han.”
You raise your hand giving him the grandest power complex to which he only tilts his head towards you beckoning you to speak. “You know I’m friends with all of them so why did seeing that turn you into a dick?”. Poking his cheek with his tongue, he clarified, “It didn’t turn me into a dick darling. I just don’t like people trying to take what is mine.” “Nobody was trying to take me you dumbass.” “Then why the shit does Felix have a special nickname for you AND said he loves you??” he slightly yelled with tears in his eyes.
As he hid his face in his hands, taking deep breaths to avoid sobbing, you were trying to process the words that just came out of his mouth. After stuttering and trying to form sentences, you explain the situation as he comes to sit next to you. Turning towards him and covering his hands with yours, you take a deep breath and bring him up to speed; “So the name thing first. Well as you know he and Bang Chan are Australian. So, them trying to say my first name just winds up in a 10-minute loop of aggressive ‘nauring’ you know? So, I decided to tell them my middle name and Bang Chan immediately fell in love with calling me ‘Gracie’ so only the Aussies call me that, for that reason only okay?” He cracks a small smile, “I guess that does make sense….. but why did he say he loved you?” You choke on air, and you ask incredulously, “Ummm when the hell did he say that?!?!”
He glances at the floor sheepish worried he misheard something now and is starting to feel like the biggest asshole to ever exist. “I dunno, I just heard him tell you ‘Woah Gracie, I love you for that!’ and just after the unexplained name thing it sent me spiraling.” You give a small smile this time and go “calm down tiger, I had just shown him a photo I had edited of him and hella fixed the lighting, so he was grateful because it was an important photo of him. That’s it I promise okay? I swear on Tannie!!”
It was his turn to go big eyed because he knew when you swore on a pet, you meant business! “Okay I believe you Nari I really do.” You breath the deepest sigh of relief ever until he interrupts with “But I do have one more question…” “Oh?” you question, “what’s up Tae?”. “Okay now don’t get mad, but are you sure there’s nothing there? I mean it seemed like there was some flirting, at least from where I stood.” “I mean I doubt he was flirting with me; he knows I am with you plus I double doubt you started a trend of fine Korean men finding me attractive.” you chuckle.
Suddenly his countenance darkened again in an instant as he backed away, “fine Korean men????” you gulp, “I mean, I didn’t mean fine fine, I just meant that I am a photographer, so I appreciate aesthetically pleasing things and people.” You say as you start to get off the couch, but he stands and pulls your hair getting you to look him in the eyes “So you aren’t attracted to him AT ALL then??” Tears form once again in your eyes as you explain yourself, yet again…”Okay so he maybe was my first SKZ bias, and you aren’t the first person to point out that he flirts with me a lot. I won’t deny that before we were together it was very nice, but I love you not him okay?”
There’s a long pause until you both sit back down, and he looks like he has seen a ghost, “wait…love me???” You chuckle, “Yes you idiot, lovingly of course!” He has tears in his eyes then asks, “Are you sure??? I mean, it has only been a few months and I know I’m taller, but my voice can’t get near his and I was an ass earlier…” “Hun, I agree you could’ve handled everything earlier better and come to me sooner and been upfront. But it doesn’t mean that you are inherently an ass okay? I don’t care that your voice isn’t just like his, I love your voice and it’s been my peace for years now.”
“Well, good points all around and I just…. I really am sorry that I freaked out so much earlier, I just love you too, so it lit a fire in my soul. I’m sincerely sorry and I’ll do better okay? I can’t lose you…”. You are both sobbing at this point and then while you pull each other into the most intense embrace, you reassure him
“You won’t”.

It’s been a year since you last saw him. A year of emptiness, hollowness, blankness. A year since you turned your back, leaving without a goodbye. It’s been a year since you’ve walked out his front door, the same one that you’d find yourself visiting and revisiting when you knew he wasn’t home.
It’s been a year since you last felt some semblance of happiness, a year since you’ve let out a genuine laugh, smiled from cheek-to-cheek. It’s been a year devoid of warmth: you shivered under the embrace of the summer sun, no longer noticed the blooming flowers that you had once loved so much. The world lost all its color. Fading into a bleak grayscale so far away, unreachable. No longer did you walk with a spring in your step, no longer did your eyes glimmer with galaxies that you’d once built with him. You were empty, a ship lost in the depths of the dark oceans. Floating, barely surviving, with no set destination. All you saw were never-ending, infinite oceans in all directions. No escape, no lighthouse. Just you. Alone. Pointless.
Your heart aches for him, the echo of a honeyed baritone, the ghost of his warm, muscular arms wrapped around your shoulders.
It’s for the best, you had thought. It’s for the best.
You squeeze your eyes shut, willing the thoughts out of your mind. There was too much, too many feelings, pent-up emotions. You weren’t a woman of emotions, never were, swore to never be, until you had met him. And he had changed everything.
Stop. This is getting ridiculous.
You needed to get on with your life, you think. There are too many things to think about, so many better thoughts requiring your attention. What were you doing, wasting your energy on him? It was time, you had decided, to end things once and for all.
The ticket machine snaps you out of your reverie, demanding it get paid. How much did the trip cost? You’ve forced yourself to forget, holed up all the memories too far into the shadows of your mind in your sheer desperation to evade the pain. You slot in a W10,000 bill, way too much, but better than having to remember. The machine happily eats up the cash, returning your card and sending you on your way.
You navigate the platforms, seeing the brightly-lit signs: Incheon line, Suin line, Bundang line. Then you see it, Platform 6, Gyeongwon line. South-bound to Soyosan, stopping at Iryeong. Your heart thumps, stomach twists, and you feel like throwing up. How many times had you once ascended these very steps with him, hand-in-hand, smiling to one another? How many times had you raced up these stairs, trying to get to the platform first? It’s too much, and you want to run. Run away from this place, from the thoughts and feelings.
No. You need this.
The winter air roughly brushes against your cheeks, hurrying you along.
What are you so afraid of?
Everything, you think. Everything. You’ve bound your heart in chains and locks, plastered it with thousands of bandages, one on top of the other. You’ve holed it away, willed it out of existence. You’re afraid of the memories, the emotions. You’re afraid of yourself.
Go. Just go. Get it over with.
You force your feet to move, one after another. You don’t think, you just move. Move onto the platform, move onto the train. You don’t realize that you’ve boarded the machine until you hear an all-too-familiar voice on the loudspeaker.
“This is the Special Rapid Train, on the Gyeongwon line, headed for Sosoyan. We will be stopping at Seokgye, Wolgye, Dobong and Iryeong. Please stay clear of the sliding doors!”
You vaguely see the blinking of lights and hear the shutting of the doors. The train picks up speed, clicking against the railroads. You are blank, a passenger on an endless journey. You sway when the train sways, stop when it stops. You don’t know how many stops have passed, having lost yourself in the familiar nothingness that had hollowed you out for the past year, until the speakers announce something about the next station being Dobong. You’re near, you realize. Too near.
Too soon does the train halt, birthing out and collecting new passengers as seats empty and taken once more in a matter of seconds. You watch this interchange with a bitter smile: how quickly he must have replaced you after you’d left, how he must’ve taken in another in your place.
Stop it.
Too engrossed in your thoughts, you don’t notice the closing of the doors and the blinking of the lights until you hear the loud system once more as the train starts to accelerate.
“Iryeong, Iryeong. Our next stop is Iryeong, please get off on the right side of the train.”
You are left suddenly hyper aware of your surroundings, watching as snow paints the ground white. The houses blur into trees and back into villages as you stare out the window, and you start to remember. You remember your hands intertwined, dancing in the snow, the click of a camera as the melodies of your laughs twirling in the air. You remember the snugness of his embrace, his earthy cologne, his smile, his lips pressed against yours…
Stop.
You tear your gaze away from the glass, staring down at your gloved hands fiddling in your lap. It’s been a year. It’s laughable how much and how little has changed. You’re different, yes, but yet so painfully similar to the girl who ran away. It’s funny how much of a difference, or lack thereof, a year can make, you think. It’s certainly been hard on you, and you find yourself wondering about him, about how maybe the year has changed him, how he’s doing, if he’s eating well, if…
Stop.
You’re hopeless, aren’t you?
You sigh and shut your eyes. You’re going crazy. Or maybe you’ve always been crazy. Your thoughts are feverish, a maelstrom in your mind. Involuntarily, you notice your feet rapidly tapping the metal bar to your side, vibrating against the pole. You feel the ghost of a touch on your thigh, hear the empty shell of his words, breathe, Y/N, breathe. What’s got you all worked up? And for a moment, just a moment, you feel his presence to your side, capture the warmth radiating off of his figure, and smile. Because it’s all okay when he’s here.
But he’s not.
You decide to focus on the sound of the railroads, staring down at the speckled floor of the train as the carriage undulates gently, side to side. You ride along, the train’s movements easing your own and you begin to lose yourself once again in the clacks of the rails, mind going blank, until you start to notice the slowing of the sounds. The train’s dance comes to a slow, inviting people to start getting up and shuffle towards the doors. Your heart sinks to your stomach. Not yet, not yet. It can’t be. It’s too soon.
The loudspeaker crackles to life, confirming your worst fears. “Arriving at Iryeong, please stay clear of the doors and exit on the right side of the train.”
Your legs move on their own accord, pulling you to a standing position as you grip the metal post with your life. The train continues to slow, eventually, painstakingly coming to a halt. You wish it never will, that it will continue on with its journey ahead. But it’s too late. The doors slide open, the sounds of the outside world whistle for you, calling you, urging you out of the comfort of the train. You don’t dare move, standing still as passengers trickle out, as the flashing lights start to appear, as the minute at the station starts to come to an end. The doors are closing in five. Four.
You twitch.
Three. Two.
“Wait!”
You rush out the doors, barely escaping the iron clasp of the metals that would’ve devoured you had you been a second too late. Behind you, the steel hisses as the vehicle exits the station, leaving you alone. So utterly alone.
You’re blessed with a moment of solitude, feeling nothing but the cold air chilling your face, until you realize where you are and why you’re here.
The bliss of being alone rapidly evaporates, and you’re hit with a speeding truck. The memories flood in; you’re winded, gasping for breath as you’re stormed with images, short clips of him, you, the pair of you. His smile, his laugh, his cheeks, eyes, nose. His breath tickling yours before he leans in for a kiss, his gentle, large hands cupping your face as you close your eyes…
Stop. Get a fucking grip, will you?
You force the color out of your mind as you make your way around the platform, empty now that everyone has gone. Your eyes graze against the pathetic, run-down station: the signs are only partially lit, the electricity having worn out. Your fingers run against the peeling, dirtied paint of the walls, dust bunnies catching onto your gloves. You scoff. This is pathetic. The floor is littered with plastics and old soda bottles, as if nobody’s been here to clean in too long. Graffiti smiles sadly back at you as you scan the fading walls, losing their life by the second. The bricks have faded into a musty brown, drab and uninteresting. Everything is so run down, so tired. You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose as you make your way to the minimart to your right, wanting a beverage to help warm your insides up.
The doors slide open with a gentle clink, altering the store of your presence. The cashier at the counter looks up at you through half-lidded eyes, barely acknowledging you, before returning to the drama playing on his cracked phone. The shelves are well-stocked, however, in stark contrast to the beaten-down appearance of this whole ordeal. You glide along the aisles, and everything is the same. Your favorite tea is still on the same shelf as it was all those months ago, his favorite gimbap in the bottom left corner of the chiller. Beef and sesame, he’d get, while you’d get a tuna for yourself, clinking your drinks and hearing the hiss of his cola opening, laughing as you made a mess of yourselves, two young fools madly in love. You’d talk, drink, eat for hours, whispering, dreaming and wishing, wondering what was going to come in the future, what you’d name your first puppy, whether you wanted a girl or a boy for your first child. Never would you have ever imagined that it would all end this way.
Stop it.
You grab your bottle of tea violently, almost knocking it over in your hurry to leave. You could no longer stay, not here, suffocating in your memories of him. You erased the gimbap out of your vision, ignoring it as you made your way to the counter, paying for your drink as the half-hearted employee handed you with your change. You mutter a thank you, unsure if he had even heard, and mindlessly make your way out of the store, too focused on keeping someone out of your head. You nearly bang into the glass doors in your haste, looking down and walking as fast as you can. Until your heart stops, that is.
You don’t dare look up, not now. The whole world slows to a stand-still, your gaze sharpening on nothing. Your heart is about to beat out of your chest, your lungs stop working. Electricity charges through the air and you’re left reeling, not knowing what to do.
Slowly, painfully, your neck raises, muscles straining with all their might. You already know what you’re going to see, who you’re going to see, but the sight of him still shocks you all the same. You nearly spill your drink all over yourself when you finally look up, and your brain goes into overdrive. You’re sure that your mouth is hanging open, jaw slack, but you can’t do anything about it. Your knees buckle, you can’t breathe, suffocating, wanting the ground to swallow you up at this very moment. You want to fall, tumble into an eternal tunnel. You are dizzy, light-headed, going crazy, you swear. You’re going crazy, aren’t you? This can’t be real, can it?
You can’t believe it. You’re drowning, drowning in those chocolate eyes, sinking into his pupils, losing yourself in his gorgeous features. You drink him all in, his own face mirroring yours, in no doubt absolute shock or maybe even despair, his deadly stare making your breath hitch as it once did so long ago. He’d never lost his power over you, after all. The world is suspended around you, all operations ceased as you both continue to stare into each other’s eyes, the tension so palpable that it threatens to devour you whole. Your larynx seems to be glued shut, your tongue a stone in your mouth. There are no words, no way to express this feeling that washes over you upon seeing him again.
“Y/N…”
His voice. Your ears ring with his deep baritone, honey to your ears. You can’t help it: you quite literally swoon, despite the circumstances. His voice: it ignites a fire within you, warm tendrils of heat rising up from your stomach. Vibrations send throughout your core, making you lightheaded and sure that you’re about to fall. You remember his timber next to you in the dead of light, comforting you, whispering sweet nothings into your ear, it’s okay, it’s okay, breathe, it’s okay, you’re here with me.
You hug your arms around yourself, trying to keep it all in, retain the strange feeling that was now foreign to you after months of cold. It’s been too long, after all - you’ve gone too long deprived of this humanness, comfort that radiated off of him.
Things are different now, Y/N.
Yes, they are. Your mind goes berserk once more, considering all of the scenarios. Why is he here? He probably just needs to go to the minimart - no, why would he come all this way, he lives pretty far as well, or maybe he’s waiting on a friend, no, maybe he’s brought a new girlfriend, maybe she’s with him right now waiting to jump out of the shadows. Maybe they’re both exchanging looks right now when I’m not looking, laughing, taunting me, this girl from the past who doesn’t deserve to be here, maybe they all think I’m a joke now, what am I doing, why, why, why?
You’re so lost in your thoughts that when Taehyung addresses you once more, you’re violently jolted out of your mind and nearly fall backwards, body forgetting everything but the sound of his voice.
“Y/N…” he says again, forcing you to look up at him. Your name splinters through the air from his lips, cutting through the frost and straight into your chest; you notice now that his voice seems tired, that he seems tired.
You finally regain some semblance of control over your frozen tongue, lips moving in an attempt to emit a sound, any sound. Your lips wrap around the sole syllable that comes to you like muscle memory, the only one that you manage to choke out.
“T-Tae…”
Your voice cracks, unable to continue. The prolonged eye-contact has got you weak, his pupils boring into your soul. You look into his eyes, reciprocating, and you notice that maybe they’ve lost their golden sheen, that they no longer twinkle with constellations of stars. And it’s then that you realize: maybe the year has taken a toll on him too.
Look at what you’ve done to him.
“T-Tae, I, I, I…” you sputter out, guilt flooding your system like a drug. There was nothing you could say, nothing you could tell him to cheat yourself out of the situation or paint yourself in a better light like you’re so used to doing. You’re not used to feeling this powerless, this weak. Taehyung was the only one who saw through the facade, the only one who allowed you to feel vulnerable. You couldn’t lie to him, you knew you couldn’t; there was no wheedling, no bullshitting, no lying yourself out of any sticky situation, which had caused you this whole trouble in the first place. You ran because you were too much of a coward to talk to him, to confide in him. And look where that’s gotten you.
“Why are you here?” he asks, burying his head in his hands. “Y/N, why are you here?”
Why am I here? You don’t really know as well, there’s nothing that you can say to him. Why am I here? To get over him? How are you even going to tell him? He has to think that you’re over him, that it’s done. Stop torturing yourself, and stop dragging him through this mess of your life. Tell him that it’s done.
“I… I came because…”
Y/N, say something?
“I came because I… I was looking for you.”
What the fuck?
His head snaps up, his piercing stare catching your gaze once again. “You were looking for me?”
You feel your heart stop.
“Umm… well, I mean, no, but, no, well actually if I think about it now, yeah, yeah I was looking for you,” you stammer, unable to produce a single cohesive line of thought. “I was looking for you because I wanted to tell you that it’s over.”
Your own words are like a dagger twisting into your own heart and vaguely hear a choked sound breaking the awful, awful silence. Until you realize that it’s come from your own mouth, a sob that you hadn’t even realized that you were holding in.
A moment of charged silence goes by, yet louder than any noise that either of you could’ve let out. Never in your life has silence felt so utterly deafening, and you wish to cover your ears and scream it all out.
“You’re telling me this now?” Taehyung manages, features distorted in pain. “You’re telling me this now, a whole fucking year after you walk out the door without a single word to me?”
You look down at the ground, hating, blaming your traitorous mouth for saying something that you hadn’t fully thought through.
No, Y/N. You have to stop bringing everyone down.
You’ve lost all rational thought when you say, “yes, Taehyung. Yes. I had nothing to say to you then and nothing to say to you now. It’s done and it’s over.”
You couldn’t even say sorry?
The frosty wind brushes over the pair of you, causing you to shiver in your boots. You want nothing more than to curl up into a ball and disappear, pretend that this never happened, that this was all a bad dream.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see a security guard watching the whole exchanged with piqued interest. It’s none of your fucking business, you want to scream. It’s none of your fucking business. And yet you’re so humiliated, embarrassed at this whole mess that you’ve made of not only yourself but the situation in its entirety that you cannot muster up any words to merely defend yourself. You want to cry, sob, yell, scream.
“Fine, Y/N, it’s okay. You know what? It’s okay, you don’t owe me an explanation, you don’t owe me anything, not an apology, not a reason, not your love. It’s okay. It’s fine. Maybe you never loved me, saw me in the same way. Maybe I just assumed, maybe it was wrong of me to assume. Maybe I was too optimistic, too in love with you that I had forced myself to believe the story that I had made up in my head, that you were in love with me too. Maybe I had wanted it, wanted you so bad that I had made myself believe it. Made myself believe that you were in love with me.”
Your heart instinctually reaches out to him, drumming feverishly against your fragile ribcage. No, you want to scream. No, Taehyung, you couldn’t be more fucking wrong. He doesn’t know the way your heart beats for him in the dead of night, how the mere thought of him sends shivers down your spine, how every cell in your body, every thread of your being aches, yearns for his presence with every hour, every minute, every second.
You feel your heart breaking, splintering into thousands, millions of tiny little fragments raining down like shards of glass. It hurts, it hurts like hell.
“It’s okay, Y/N. Don’t force yourself into anything. There’s no need to anymore. There’s no more need to lie, no more need to pretend that you’re happy.”
“Thank you for telling me the truth.”
It’s not the truth, you want to cry. It’s not. It’s the farthest from it. But you return his look, tight-lipped. You nod, despite the swell of emotions that are threatening to cut you in half at this very moment.
“You’re welcome.”
He reciprocates your nod and slowly, painfully, tears his eyes from yours. He stands up, gingerly, as if hesitating, and you want to tell him to stop, to sit back down, that you’re lying to him, that you want him, that you want him more than anything in this world. But you don’t, and he continues onto his feet, sparing you one last gaze.
“At least I get to say goodbye,” he says, wistfully. “At least I now have the chance to say goodbye.”
You’re sure that tears are streaming down your face at this point, little trails of ice making their way down your blushed cheeks. Your lips are tight, and you cannot, for the life of you, return his look.
Before you can fully comprehend what’s happening, you know he’s here, the familiar hold of his arms, your face finding itself nestled on the same spot on his chest, right above his heart. You feel it beat, gently, slowly, under your ear, a comforting rhythm that you’ve too often fallen asleep to, whispered to. Your arms instinctually wrap around his waist, and his head settles on the crook of your neck, the curve of his nose gently kissing your delicate skin. His warmth radiates from under his coat, and you soak it all in, collecting as much as you can. You are two puzzle pieces, a perfect fit, and you will this moment into eternity, searing it into your memory, wishing for the world to stop, stop right now and leave you in this moment forever. You’ve been lost, wandering, and have finally come home.
But forever doesn’t exist.
You’re struck with a blast of cold at his loss, feeling horribly empty. He steps away from you, and you’re almost certain that you see moisture in his eyes, tears threatening to break free. Every fiber of your being yearns for him, you want to reach out to him, extend the hug, shower him in kisses, make up and forget that this all even happened, but you’re too prideful. You can’t let yourself do this.
“Goodbye, Y/N. Thank you for everything.”
And just like that, he’s gone.

[taehyung]
I miss you.
I miss you as the seasons come and go, I miss you as I watch the world going to shit, losing all hope. I miss you when the wind blows, taking me along like a pointless man, destined for nowhere. I’ll miss you eternally; I’ll miss you when all the ice melts into the ocean, I’ll miss you when everything’s finally disappeared and there’s utter nothing left for me.
I miss you in the brightest mornings and the darkest nights, when the sun comes out to play and the rain starts pelting down like there’s no tomorrow. I’ll miss you in the loneliest winters and the blooming springs.
Everything reminds me of you. I am stuck in this eternal frost without you here; your loss has trapped me into this winter forever. I am slowly losing feel of my limbs as they succumb to the cold around me - everything has frozen into place, trapping me into the confines of this perpetual season. The world is closing in, I have nowhere to go, nothing to do. No longer do I have you to lead me out of this snow, no longer do I have you to hold my hand and bring me warmth through it all.
Why did you have to go?
Baby, did you know how much pain I’d be in when you’d left? Did you know how much it would hurt, how you’ve trapped me into this never-ending arctic, leaving me behind to freeze?
Did you know when you chose to go?
You’ve left me in ruins, my love. I can’t continue without you. I’m struggling to breathe, suffocating, as the world collapses inwards, threatening to bury me alive. I wait for you everyday, through all of the grief, the pain. I still wait for the day that you come back, that I get to see your face again.
Or maybe I’m a dumbass. I don’t know. Have you changed? Or is it I who has? Or perhaps, us both? I’m still a lovesick fool for you, Y/N, that I can tell you for sure. I can’t stop thinking of you, as the days pass, sun and moon taking their turns in the sky. I’m left, suffering in this darkness, bleakness without you here. I wonder if you’ll still be there at the end, when all ceases to exist. I wonder if I’ll see you again; how much more do I have to wait? How many more sleepless nights will have to pass before I can lay my eyes upon you again? How many days, months, years do I have to hold back before I get to feel you, touch you, kiss you, one more time?
Or maybe I’m being optimistic. You know what, Y/N, I’ll never see you again, maybe you’re better off without me. Maybe it’s all for the best, maybe it’s time for me to move on, maybe it’s time for you to move on. Maybe it really was not meant to be, maybe you really weren’t the one for me.
Then why can’t I get you out of my head?
Y/N, I wish I could just forget you. I wish you never existed, I wish I had never gotten to know you. Then it would be so much easier for me. I wish that you had ignored me, that you had turned me down when you had the chance. It would’ve been the most pain that I’d feel at the time, but believe me, it’s nothing compared to this.
Now I can’t get rid of you, no matter how hard I try. You’re there, you’re there when I lie down and close my eyes for the night, you’re there at work, hiding behind my papers and my laptop, waiting to take me out to lunch. You’re everywhere, baby, you’re in the car, riding shotgun and racing to connect to Bluetooth first, singing at the top of your lungs as we speed down the highway like the reckless teenagers that we were. I see you, hair tangled by the wind, belting out your favorite lyrics out of the roof of my convertible. And I remember thinking, for the hundredth time that night, you’re the most beautiful girl in the world. Damnit, Y/N, you’re standing by the mirror every morning when I get ready for my meetings, dainty fingers straightening my tie and planting a kiss on my lips. You got this, lover boy.
You’re there, and then you’re not. You flicker between reality and imagination, I cannot discern whether I’m living in a fever dream or simply hallucinating. You’re slipping through my hands like grains of sand: I’m losing more of you by the second, can’t seem to hold on to you. You’re disappearing, getting further and further away as all I can do is watch helplessly as you fall through my fingers.
Where are you now, Y/N?
I worry about you, I worry whether you’ve eaten well, whether you’ve slept well, whether you’ve had a good day at the office. Have you seen your parents lately? Have you had some time to yourself over the past days, have you overworked yourself as you often tend to do? Are you taking care of yourself?
Is it selfish of me to be wishing for you, thinking of you after all this time? Tell me, Y/N, is it wrong of me to be wanting you despite it having been over for so long now? You’ve probably moved on by now, considering how long it’s already been. Maybe you’ve met someone new, maybe you’re in love with someone else, maybe I’ve already been replaced with another man in your life.
Maybe I treated you wrong, maybe you didn’t feel like I loved you enough, maybe I didn’t make you feel special enough. I wish, Y/N, I wish that I could turn back time for you, I wish I could go back and be better for you, that I could fix all of the mistakes that I’ve made, wipe all of the tears that you might’ve cried for me, swallow up all of the pain that must’ve been plaguing you, to suck up the hurt that you were feeling back then. I wish you could give me all of the pain, I wish that I could’ve carried it all for you, shielded you from it all like how I should’ve done.
But it’s too late now, isn’t it?
You’ve met someone else by now, you’re laughing, smiling, whispering with another, kissing someone else’s lips, in love with your new man. And I’m still here, trying to get over you like the pathetic loser that I am. There are so many regrets, so many things that I wish that I could still tell you, so many errors, mistakes that I made. It’s all my fault. I want nothing more than to be able to get on my knees in front of you and apologize for everything. There are so many more words, so many moments that I want nothing more than to be spending with you.
I’m still in love with you.
I think I always will be, Y/N. I know it’s selfish of me. I really can’t help it. I’m sorry.
You came into my life like a whirlwind, taking all of me along for the ride. And now that you’re gone, I don’t know what to do with myself no longer. I’ve been swept away with you and my fate will forever be left in your hands. There’s nothing left for me here, not in my work nor art. All that’s left is you. You are the only thing keeping me going now - I live another day, endure another night hoping for you, waiting for the day that I will finally see you again. I open my eyes for you in the mornings, in hopes of laying them upon your figure once more.
Maybe it’ll all be for nothing, I know. Maybe I’ll never see you again. But there’s nothing left for me, remember? I’m willing to take my chance. For when I finally do see you once more, it will all be worth it.
I miss you, Y/N. I miss you so fucking much. My heart beats for you, my lungs breathe for you. My every cell in my entire being aches so desperately for you, for you and you only. And so I’ll wait for you. I promise. I’ll be here for you, waiting for the day that I get to catch a glimpse of you, to be there when you need a shoulder to cry on, for when you need even the littlest, tiniest thing. I’m ready to give you the world, baby. I’m ready to right all my wrongs, to treat you like the fucking queen that you are. I’m going to treat you the way that you deserve.
When that time comes, my heart will be happy. When the time comes that I see you again, that I hear your voice again, your laugh again, it’ll be okay. All this pain will fade away to nothing. Don’t worry about me, darling, I’ll always be here, waiting. Waiting for you, until the end.
I promise.

𝗞𝗜𝗠 𝗧𝗔𝗘𝗛𝗬𝗨𝗡𝗚
‣ angst, manipulative ppl, gn reader.
❝ 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝘆, 𝗰𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗜 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲 ❞
I am a mess. I don't know how, but when  I met you, I became a mess. No explanations, no meanings, no nothing.
A smile is all it takes. I forget all the bad things you said and did to me with just a smile from your pretty lips. I...I don't know how.
'If you really love me, you'd do what I'm asking.' was what he said when I was first hesitant about sex.
I was a virgin. He was my first time and I thought I was his first. He told me,
'Dont you trust me?' and I was a bit taken a back but nonetheless, I trusted him with all my heart.
I didn't care about those words thinking it was harmless, but when I told my friend about it, he started saying how unbelievable, uncivil, and what a jerk kim taehyung is.
He told me that the three of us should have dinner together. To test that his theory is right (that he's a jerk, bastard, and a manipulative piece of shit.). Then, he'd tell you to break up with him.
And so you did. you were waiting with jeon jungkook, your friend, at the restaurant. He was already 30 minutes late, jungkook getting annoyed, but nonetheless stayed clam so he wouldn't hurt you.
"I swear to god if he don't arrive here within 5, we are leaving." jungkook puffed, getting more annoyed.
"Ah come on, I'm sure it's just traffic!" you nervously chuckled.
"Traffic?! This is a trip near the company! I bet he's somewhere cheating!" jungkook huffed.
"Come on! Have a little trust!"
He replied with a 'tch' and ate his free garlic bread.
Speaking of the devil, kim taehyung finally arrived. He walked towards the table, wearing his black suit that was hugging his perfect body. You stood up to greet him
"Hi, babe." he kissed you on the cheek like he always did, and sat on his chair.
"Hi tae! What caused your delay?" you asked with a smile and held his hand.
He removed it, just as you thought. Jungkook saw it and planted deadly stares towards taehyung.
"I met up with a client baby." he chuckled as he saw you buying that excuse.
"So," he dragged his eyes onto jungkook. "are you the famous jungkook he always talks about?"
Taehyung smelled...different. Well, he always smelled different. Different perfumes every single day. You knew something was wrong. You were too inlove with him that you were seeing him as a saint, where in fact, he was the devil.
His watch were tainted with red lipstick, you assume. A hickey on his lower neck, even if he always tells you 'no toucking', 'baby, I can't afford someone thinking I have a lover.' It's just funny that this relationship was a secret. I thought being lovers with someone means being proud or such.
"Obviously, Sherlock." jungkook rolled his eyes and laughed when he saw taehyung's hickey.
"Is that a...hickey?" jungkook pointed on taehyung's neck.
"H-Hickey?" you stuttered, eyes wide open.
"Ah, I didn't notice that must be a-"
"A slut, no?"
"As I was saying, that must be an insect bite." he faked a smile.
'He doesn't think I'm mas fucking dumb does he?'
You knew. Oh you knew so well.
You sighed. "Let's...Let's just order."
After the meal, you just called it a day and went home.
-
Opening the front door of your shared apartment, you heard the noise that you were so scared of.
Mustering all your courage, you entered your room. There stood a naked Kim Taehyung with a naked woman.
"Taehyung," you said with no emotion. "You're not gay, arent you?"
His eyes widened and couldn't think of anything. He thought you were out shopping or whatever gays do! There were no escape for him.
"Babe! It's not whay you think it is. I-I promise!" he lied. He always did.
You laughed. And cried. Tears were streaming down like waterfall. They couldn't stop. Pain. All you could feel is pain. You knew what he was doing, so shouldn't you be prepared?
"Fuck, Fuck! Leave right now, Gayoung!" he started messing his hair up and that girl hurried and left.
You stood there feeling stupid.
"Are you going to give me an explanation? If not, just fucking tell me! So I wouldn't look foolish here thinking that you're gonna say you don't want me to fucking leave!"
"I love you. Is that what you wanted to hear?"
You laughed. "Do you really think that has an effect anymore? I already know those were empty words!"
"Well who would've thought! Maybe if you used your body for good, then I wouldn't be looking for someone to relieve myself!"
Taehyung felt a sting in his cheek. You slapped him.
"Say that again. I fucking dare you."
Goosebumps. All he felt was goosebumps when your emotionless eyes met with him. 'I broke him...'
More tears were streaming down. You sobbed. "I shouldn't have begged you to love me."
"Baby, I-" he tried to hug you or touch you but you have him no chance.
"Don't fucking touch me! You loathed my body, remember?!"
"No...no! Please, I can't lose you!" tears were already in his eyes. What a sight.
"You already did." you smiled.

J.JK Soul Ink - Chapter 16

¬ Now or Never - Halsey
"What do you mean they know we're here? We lead them to a different place how-"
Yoongi sighs and begins to gather his stuff mumbling,
"I don't know, one of us mustn't of got rid of them without realizing, I'd suggest you guys get dressed and start gathering some stuff, we need to go. Now."
We nod before rushing off to our rooms to pack as much as we could, we could not afford to waste any time. I go to rush into my room but gasp as I feel a hand wrap around my arm and I spin around to stare into the familiar doe eyes of Jungkook and he opens his mouth to talk but shuts it again and pursing his lips.
"Jungkook is everything okay?" I ask taking his hand off my arm into my hand, watching him hesitate before nodding and giving me a reassuring smile, kissing my knuckles, feeling the cold metal of his lip ring against them.
"It doesn't matter, it's not important, go pack, we'll talk later." He says letting go of my hand and I nod slowly and smile at him as he leaves me alone going into his room and I enter my own sighing, whatever he wanted to say must of been important, it was bothering him. I shake it off for now, quickly pulling out my duffel bag from under my bed and opening all the drawers and the doors to my wardrobe and throwing everything into it, keep out an outfit to change in, hearing everyone rush about in their own room. We needed to leave as soon as possible.
----
"Okay is everyone packed? Remember this is a temporary move alright? Once this is all over we can come back but for now we're going to the safe house, split into groups again and we'll all scatter in hopes to lose them and meet at the house. Who ever gets tailed do not come to the house until you are certain you've lost them. Am I understood?" Namjoon says sternly as we all stand in the living room. We nod in confirmation and I notice Jimin look down guiltily.
"Jimin? Are you okay? What's wrong?" I say placing a hand on his shoulder as he sighs and shakes his head.
"It's my fault, I swear I thought I lost them but I was in such a frenzy to get Kook back home so he could have medical attention I must of not seen them properly. I'm sorry guys." He murmurs and I pout ruffling his hair.
"Jimin it's okay, we all have our moments, you did what you had to and you made the right decision, we'd probably all do the same if we were in the same position, you probably saved JK from anymore damage, that's all that matters, we'll lose them for sure this time okay? No one is mad alright? Now gather yourself we can't waste anymore time, we don't know what they're scheming. Let's go. Good luck brothers and sister, see you on the flip side." Namjoon says as we go into our groups and I take the keys from Jimin.
"I'll drive, you tell me the directions, you know I can lose them if they tail us." I say and he nods as we all enter the garage, throwing our bags into the back and climbing into the cars, Jungkook in the passenger seat and Jimin in the back, the both of them getting their pistols ready just in case. This could go really badly or really good.
"Okay let's get out of here. Ready?" I say as turn the ignition and look at them and they give me a curt nod. Taehyung opens the garage door before rushing to get into a car and everything was like a blur from then.
----
"Are you definitely sure I lost them because I'm coming up to the safe house and I don't want to park the car up to find out that they're still on our tail." I say as I drive and Jimin peers through the back window and gives me a thumbs up.
"All clear I promise, there's no one behind us." Jimin says and I sigh in relief nodding, slowing down until I come to a complete halt, parking in front of the house they tell me to stop at, turning the car off and leaning back into the seat and let out a breath.
"Well that was eventful..." Jungkook mumbles before climbing out and Jimin and I follow, getting our bags out from the back and lock the car making our way towards the house and entering once it was unlocked.
"Looks like we're the first ones here." Jungkook says looking around noticing how quiet it was as we nod in agreement as I look around.
"Well this is home for now, Y/N you're going to have to share a room with Kook...we don't have a spare sorry." Jimin says sheepishly as Jungkook smirks, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and guiding me towards the stairs so he could show me to his room.
"Ah it's not a problem at all Hyung, is it babygirl? Just more time with my girl." Jungkook says mischievously making me roll my eyes and nudge him slightly.
"Don't be getting any ideas Jungkook." I say raising an eyebrow making him cackle as he pushes the door open to the room and rows himself onto his bed making me gasp in panic.
"Yah! Your shoulder be careful you fool!" I scold making him chuckle at me sitting up as I place my bag on the floor and sitting beside him, pinching his cheek making him hiss and smack my hand away.
"Ow! What the fuck! I'm fine it didn't hurt you didn't have to do that!" He whines making me laugh before standing up again and picking up my bag and sighing unzipping it so I could get at least a few outfits out to hang up.
"Fuck..." I hear Jungkook breathe out and I look up in confusement seeing his eyes staring in one spot and I follow his eyes before gasping and rushing to shut my bag, cheeks bright red looking at him as he smirks at me and I knew he was going to tease me to no ends.
"How come you haven't wore one of them in front of me yet? You hiding it from me babygirl?" He teases making me huff and cover my face as he laughs at me as I subconsciously pout and put my bag under the bed.
"Shut up leave me alone, Irene packed the bag not me." I mumble shyly.
"Hmm remind me to thank her when she's back." He grins as I roll my eyes and flip him off making him laugh even louder until Jimin yells up to us.
"Hey you two! The guys are here! We're going out to see if we can get any intel and some food! You stay here Jk needs to step back for a bit!"
"Okay! See you guys soon! Be careful!" You yell back before Jungkook could protest that he had to sit out and groans throwing himself back on the bed again as you walk over to the dresser, folding some clothes in a slight daze as your mind begins to overthink and worry.
Jungkook looks over noticing my silence and frowns seeing your blank face through the mirror above the dresser, slowly sitting up and walking over, concerned as to what could be playing on your mind.
"What's wrong?" Jungkook murmurs placing a hand on your waist and turning you to face him, peppering kisses to your face.
"I don't know, I just have a bad feeling about where this is going. You're right about Yixing. He's always one step ahead, something isn't right." You mumble resting your head on his uninjured shoulder.
"Yeah well everything is gonna be okay baby girl, he may be one step ahead but what he doesn't know is that we're 10 steps ahead. He hasn't got a clue what's coming. We've always got a plan." Jungkook chuckles.
You nod, sighing and look up to him and press your lips to his and he smiles softly as you wrap your arms around his neck. The kiss begins to get heated and he pulls away from the kiss and begins to pepper kisses down to your neck and sucks and nips at the flesh. You squeal when he picks you up and smashes his lips back onto yours and you mumble out as you slip your hand into his hair subconsciously,
"You're going to hurt your shoulder."
He chuckles against your lips, smirking and he whispers,
"I couldn't care less right now."

Uhhhh Hi?
I'm sorry for the long and I mean very long wait for this chapter.
I originally put this on hold for Ramadan but a lot went on after so I couldn't update and then I had plagiarism issues so I took a break entirely and since then, getting back into the book was very hard so I apologize if this wasn't the greatest I'm a bit rusty and had to push through a massive writers block to complete this so if it's not long like usual I'm sorry. I promise this will get better with the next few chapter, I have no idea when I'll update again I'm currently still busy with education so finding time is difficult so bare with me. Anyway hope you guys enjoyed I've missed you all my butterflies!
See you soon!
Love you all!

Warnings: Mature language
A/N: AHHH I’m soooo sorry I haven’t been posting lately due to this crazy pandemic a lot of unfortunate things have happened to me. I hope you guys like this fic, it took me awhile to plan it and write it, and I’m still disappointed in it :( I wish you all good health and please be careful!! Make sure to always wash your pretty hands!!!
Tumblr media
“ Her parents have been married for twenty years but she thinks her mother is having an affair. She still wants to find love like them well...at the moment when they were happy. Her favorite movie is Fight Club because she thinks it makes her have good taste in movies. She doesn’t kiss on the first date because she doesn’t want to seem too easy,” you finish your statement and hold your hand out. “ That would be a hundred dollars.”
Jimin hurriedly reaches from his back pocket and looks for cash in his wallet. He’s about to give you the money but stops himself. “ Is that all? Did Heejin say anything about me?”
“ Well I can’t just randomly say your name in our conversations. You know how long it took me to be her friend and I had to listen to her complain about everything.” Jimin gives you a sad pout and gives you an extra twenty dollars. “ Fine okay. We were playing truth or dare and she said she wouldn’t mind getting on
her knees for someone on the football team…”
“ And…”
“ It was you. Happy now?” You smile once he hands you the money. You smirk while counting the money. “ There’s also one more thing but I don’t think I should tell you.” You sigh and put the rest of the textbooks in your bag
He slides you another twenty dollars, “ Tell me.”
“ She lost her virginity in a small car and she regretted it. It was to some random guy. Well she wants her first boyfriend to think she’s a virgin so it can be special to her. She only told me since we are ‘close friends’. Now it’s your time to woo her or whatever.” You grab the cash and put it in your wallet. You quickly say bye to Jimin and walk out of the library.
You enter the classroom and take your notebook out. “ Hey. Wanna hangout afterschool? My parents aren’t home, we were thinking of throwing a kickback?,” Heejin asks you as she takes her notebook out.
“ Uhh... can’t I’m really busy with homework.” This was the hardest part of doing this ‘job’, trying to get rid of your relationship with them.
Heejin shakes you lightly, “ C’mon you can worry about your homework another time. And guess who’s going to be there?”
You look at the time on your phone wondering when the teacher is going to come. “ Who’s coming?” You fake a smile and twirl your pencil.
“Jimin’s coming. He asked me out on a date so I asked him if he wanted to chill.”
Wow he works fast. Heejin always has alcohol at her place; one drink wouldn’t hurt. “ Okay I’ll go but I can only go for an hour.” The teacher comes and class starts.
--
You show up to the kickback forty five minutes late. “ Y/N. Nice for you to show up,” Taehyung says while giving you a drink.
Taehyung is someone you rarely talk to, he’s the guy who just casually nods his head at you when you see each other around the hall. He’s also the guy you gave a handjob to.
“ Hey. I had to walk here. Thanks.” He looks out of place wearing oversized sweats and a hoodie. “ Where’s Heejin?” You should at least say hello to her ,stay for a while, and leave. He holds your hand and leads you upstairs to a door that is slightly ajared.
He whispers to you in your ear, “ She’s in there with Jimin.” You look in the small opening and you see her on his lap making out. So much for not kissing on the first date you think to yourself.
“ Is she drunk?” You whisper back to Taehyung.
“Most likely she had like five shots and a beer.” He opens the door slightly more, “ Aren’t you going to help your friend?”
Oh yeah she’s your friend. You opened the door more and walked into her bedroom. “ Heejin! I’m here!,” you smile at her as she turns her head at an angle to see you. Heejin smiles brightly and gets off of Jimin, and hugs you tightly.
“ You're here! I thought you weren’t going to come.” She pouts while holding your hands. Jimin coughs lightly and stands up from the bed. “ Oh this is Jimin. I don’t know if you guys like properly know each other.”
You know Jimin quite alright, you probably know him more than she does. He’s the guy who paid over hundred dollars to get to know her more. Know her more than any instagram post. “ Hey, you're the guy that throws the football across the field and hopes that someone catches it. I’m Y/N,” you smile at him
Jimin laughs and smiles brightly at you. You got to admit he’s an attractive guy and he’s stacked with money. Jimin and Heejin will make a good couple, they are both the same. “ Yeah that’s me. Nice meeting you.” He grabs his cup from the desk and looks into it, “I should get a refill. Anyone want more?”
Heejin is about to say something but someone interrupts her. “ No, I think they are good.” You turn to see Taehyung still waiting by the door. Jimin lets out a small okay and walks out kissing Heejin on the cheek. “ Alright, I should get home. It was nice seeing you Y/N. Thanks for the party Heejin.” With that said Taehyung leaves.
“ Are you and Taehyung something?” Heejin giggles at her own question.
“ No way. He was just talking to me.”
You ended up staying the whole time and helping Heejin clean up. Heejin knocks out the moment she lays on her bed. It’s really late, you should get home. You're about to lock Heejin’s front door until a girl yells to stop. You’ve seen her around campus. She's really pretty but you don’t know her name.
“ Hey I left my wallet in the house, I’ll be quick.” She goes into the living room and grabs her wallet. “ Hey, your Y/N, right?” You are surprised she knows your name, she’s way too popular, more popular than Heejin.
“ Yeah. That’s me...,” you say to her while walking away from Heejin’s house. “ And you are?”
She gives you a flash of surprise, “ Chaeyoung. Do you need a ride?” Chaeyoung points at her shiny black jeep.
“ Yeah, that would be great,” you smile at her. She is pretty and nice, huh.
When you enter her car it has the lingering smell of a new car. The dashboard was nice and shiny. You told her where you lived, looking outside the window you hum a familiar tune on the radio.
Chaeyoung asked softly while looking at the road,“ So Y/N how’s business these days?”
You froze at her question only a selective amount of people know about your so called business. If everyone knew of you what you do, then there would be no point in this business. You only had a few clients at school and mostly were rich boys wanting information on girls so they can date or hook up. Yeah, it sounds sleazy but it’s going to help pay for college.
“ Don’t freak out on me Y/N. It’s just a simple question,” she laughs while she looks at you at a frozen state. “ It was Hoseok who told me. I couldn’t believe that Hoseok managed to have sex with Miyeon. I know Miyeon, she’s sweet, pure, saving herself for marriage. And I asked myself how’d did Hoseok, a guy who likes to have sex with a new girl every month, have sex with her. I forced an answer out of him.”
That asshole can’t keep his mouth shut. What are you gonna do now, maybe you could try to lie and find a way to get out of this situation. You need this job.
“ I-,” you start to say.
“ I gotta admit it was pretty incredible that you managed to do that,” she lets out a whistle. “ Don’t worry Y/N, I won’t tell anyone.”
You felt a rush of a relief, “ Okay thanks.” You wipe your sweat from your hands and take out a piece of gum from your purse. You gave her a piece, she laughs while putting it in her mouth.
“ Since you're so good at your job, can I be your client,” she asked, tapping her light pink polish nails against the steering wheel.
This was the first time a girl asked you she wanted information on someone. “ It cost money,” you advise her.
“ I know a good amount of money, and I have a good amount of money,” she smiles and turns left. “ I need information about Jungkook.”
There’s no way you can do this job. First he’s a male and the chances of me trying to become him his friend would be impossible. Second he’s way too popular, he has his own group of friends that wouldn’t allow me to talk to him. Third, he's rich and powerful if he finds out that you did this to him, you don’t even know what will happen to you. Let’s try to veer her away from this person. You laugh cooly, “ Trust me you don’t need my help. You have a pretty smile, nice legs, and a new car. Plus, I see you are already close to Jungkook. You guys sit together at lunch with his other friends.”
Chaeyoung doesn’t say anything for the next few minutes and you think that she forgot about this subject but unfortunately she doesn’t. “ You know I have been Jungkook’s friend...or whatever he claims I am for like three years?,” she asked you. You hum for her to continue on. “...I want to be his girlfriend, something official. He’s very hot and rich, and his father has his own law firm and his mother is head surgeon of that new hospital. I think we will look good together...no I know we will look good together.” Chaeyoung parks her car in front of your house. “ I know I’m all those things you described me as but the problem is...I can’t seem to get to really know him. You know after we have sex he takes a shower and he just leaves. No pillow talks and even when I try to talk to him he puts up a wall, a fucking wall I can’t get over. So that’s when you come in Y/N, you do the impossible, and I need you to do this for me.”
“ I understand but—”
Chaeyoung interrupts before you can finish,“ I’ll pay you whatever you want. Does five thousand sound okay?” This girl is really desperate and really rich.
“ Okay, it sounds like a deal,” you stick your hand out and shake her hand. You can’t believe you are taking this deal, wow money does change a person's mind.
You are about to leave until her hand gently grabs your elbow. “ Here, consider it a deposit.” Chaeyoung gives you some cash. You bid your goodbyes and enter your house.
Entering your room you immediately lay on your bed sighing with exhaustion, you lift the money and start counting the money. “ 20,40,60,80...what the fuck…” you continue counting the money until it’s to five hundred dollars.
“ Here I come, Jungkook.”
--
“ Wait we really did make out! I’m so stupid you think I would have known the first time I did this,” Heejin says while placing her head in disappointment.
“ Wait, you were drunk when you lost your virginity?,” you asked. Stop pretending you care Y/N, she’s not your friend, you were paid to be her friend.
Heejin gives a sad glance and nods her head. You place your hands on her back rubbing it soothingly. “ Hey, it’s okay. If you ever want to talk about it, I’m all ears,” you smile at her and she smiles back.
“ Thank you, Y/N. I never had a good friend like you.” You roll your eyes jokingly, trying not to take the compliment to heart. “ Y/N, I really mean it. I gotta go to Calculus, see you later!”
You enter your Chemistry classroom sitting down on your assigned seat.
“ Okay settle down class. You know what today is? It’s lab day.”
You look to your left to see that your partner isn’t here. What was his name? Jinwoo no it wasn’t that...Jinhwan—“Y/N, Sangchul transferred to another school, go find another partner,” the teacher said loudly.
Looking around you see another student with an empty seat next to him. You stood in front of him and was shocked to see him. Jungkook. How convenient for you. You never knew he was in your class. “ Can I be your partner?,” you ask him. There was no one beside him so you naturally assumed he'd say yes.
“ I have a partner already,” Jungkook says it curtly. His eyes briefly make eye contact with yours and then he looks back at the textbook.
“ My bad I didn’t see him sitting right next to you, oh wait he’s not,” you sarcastically speak. You didn’t mean for it to come out like that he was being rude first. Jungkook looks at you and rolls his eyes. Fuck, he can’t hate you, you have to get close to him. “ Sorry I didn’t mean to sound like that. But can I please be your partner. It's only for this lab day. I may be shit at chemistry but I’m good at helping…,” you timidly smile. Jungkook ignores you and you are about to leave until he sighs loudly.
“ Fine. You can be my partner,” he pushes the chair out beside him. You silently cheer in your head. Jungkook is different from all the other people you work with. He’s harder to approach almost not welcoming than the others. Placing your things beside you, you stay at a safe distance from him. The teacher hands Jungkook the lab assignment instructions and he reads it for about three minutes, then hands it to you.
You briefly scan it and look at him, only to see his side profile, and he’s writing things in his lab notebook. You don’t want to bother him since you don’t want to get on his bad side. Occasionally Jungkook would make comments related to the lab and you would quickly jot them down on your own notebook. “ Sorry, I wasn’t much help,” you tell Jungkook.
“ It’s fine,” he says and reaches for the lab assignment paper by your hands. You give it to him and he quickly says thanks, handing it to the teacher.
He takes your lab notebook along with his and turns it to the front desk. You quickly slip your history notebook in his backpack before he comes back. “ See you later,” you leave with your belongings.
--
Chaeyoung is smoking in the school parking, leaning against her car. “ How’d it go?,” she asked once you got closer to her.
She offers you a cigarette and you shake your head no, “ Great, Jungkook said five sentences to me,” you kick a rock that was by you.
You look at her blow out the smoke in a different direction and she laughs, “ Sounds like him. At least he said something, when we first met he was silent the whole time.” She throws the cigarette on the floor and steps on it, “ We had sex this morning.”
“ Okay…” you say awkwardly. You didn’t need to know that but okay.
“ He’s being more distant than usual. I don’t mean to rush you but I’m running out of time here.” Chaeyoung grabs the mirror from her purse and reapplies her lipstick.
How the hell are you going to make him get closer to you? Jungkook is a difficult person to talk to and now Chaeyoung is rushing you. “ Okay, I’ll work faster.”
She smiles, “ Good.”
You walk back to the cafeteria and look around for Jungkook, he’s sitting down with the rest of his friends and he’s laughing. You walk closer to the table and Jimin is the first person to greet you. “ Y/N! How’s it going?,” he swings his arm over your shoulder. Jungkook looks towards you and is surprised to see you.
“ I’m doing good, Heejin told me you looked cute today,” you come up with an excuse. Jimin blushes and scratches his head. “ By the way is it cool for us to join you guys for lunch?,” you ask curiously.
“ Yeah join us!,” he exclaimed excitedly.
Heejin is talking to one of her other friends and you interrupt them “ Hey Heejin, Jimin invited us to eat with them.” She looks at you in shock and flushes when you drag her to the table.
Jimin invites her to sit with him, you stand along the table searching where you should sit. “ You can sit here,” one of Jungkook’s friends said. You sit between Jungkook and his friend. “ What’s your name?”
“ Y/N. And yours?,” you ask politely. You feel your thighs brushing up against Jungkooks and you scoot closer to his friend.
“ Namjoon. I think you are in my AP Physics class, you beat me with the highest mark on the test,” he jokingly states.
“ Oh, that’s you! You were always a point ahead of me so I finally decided to study a little bit. Wow, it feels good to see the person I beat,” you smile. Jungkook looks invested in the conversation but doesn’t say anything.
Namjoon barks a laugh, his dimples fully on display, “ A little bit? I’m impressed, you gotta show me your ways,” he nudges his elbow against you.
“ How do you suck at chemistry but not in AP physics?,” Jungkook asked you and you turned to look at him. “—Sorry it doesn’t make sense to me, physics is way harder than chemistry.”
Finally he decides to talk to you, baby steps Y/N. “ My dad is a Physics professor,” you tell both of them. Both of their eyes widen and you laugh, “ I’m kidding. I’m not sure why I’m really good at physics. What are you good at Jungkook? You look like you're good at Literature.”
Namjoon intervens, “ He’s good at everything.” Jungkook subtly rolls his eyes but Namjoon doesn’t see it, only you.
“ Oh is that so. Must be sad to be good at everything,” you say indirectly to Jungkook.
“ How so?,” Namjoon asked, pushing his glasses up. “ Being good at everything means you can accomplish anything.”
You think thoughtfully, “ People will always have this high standard of you though. If you don’t meet their expectation won’t you be useless since you are supposedly good at everything? Even if you could accomplish anything would you be accomplishing things that you want? I wouldn’t want to be perceived as someone who is good at everything, they must be really lonely.”
You look back at Jungkook and he stares at you for a long time. “ Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.” He leaves quickly and says goodbye to the rest of his friends.
“ Wow, he’s in a rush. So Y/N about that upcoming physics test…” Namjoon scoots closer to you.
--
You lay your head against the table in the library listening to your music and softly hum. A blue notebook comes into your view when it’s placed on the table. You sit up and see Jungkook standing by the table, you take your earphones off, “ I found your history notebook in my backpack, I don’t know how it got there,” he gives a skeptical look.
“ I’m not sure either, thanks anyways,” you lay your head back down. Jungkook looks at you closely and you laugh, “ Need company?”
He shakes his head and is about to leave but then turns back and sits right next to you, “ What’s wrong with you?”
“ Nothing just tired. I feel like I’m always tired, I don't know of what,” you continue to lay your head.
He taps his finger against the table lightly, “ It sounds like you're depressed.”
“ Probably.” Your fingers go beside his and lightly tap with his. “ Are you good at everything Jungkook?,” his fingers stop tapping.
“ Why do you care?,” Jungkook said defensively.
“ I don’t care,” you bring your hand closer to you. Any minute he’s going to give you a tragic story but then again he’s not like the others. Jungkook is cautious of you and he should have every right to be. “ What’s your favorite color?” You switch the conversation to ease the tension between you two.
“ Black,” he says quietly. You ask him why as you close your eyes. “ Black is simple, it’s not complicated. There’s no light or dark black. It’s just black.” You hum an okay and smile when he asks you what’s your favorite color.
“ Today it’s blue. I don’t have a favorite color because it always changes when different people ask me,” you sit up and look at him. “ I have to go, it takes forever for me to walk home. It was nice talking to you Jungkook.”
--
You start sitting next to Jungkook more often and Chaeyoung watches from the side. It goes on for weeks and your surprise that he hasn’t pushed you away. He talks to you in short sentences, never anything deep. You both are in the library individually listening to your own music. Your head is once again against the table, you feel Jungkook tap you on the back, you take your earphones out as a sign that you are listening. “ Y/N, what’s the thing that you are most afraid of?”
Why should you tell him? Jungkook is like every other person, someone you pretend to be friends with. He shouldn’t know anything about you but you tell him anyways. “ Getting old. Seeing yourself get old and people dying around you, wondering when your time is up. What about you Jungkook?”
“ You know the first time you hangout with us at lunch, that scared me the most. I like how closed off my friend group is, it scares me when new people come into my life. I don’t know what they want...I don’t know what I’m saying,” he sighs and lays his head next to you. Both of you stare at each other and his eyes are shining, you hate how hopeful it looks so you close your eyes.
“ You fear me?,” you ask softly.
“ No,” he clarifies.
It is silent for a while and he finally speaks “ I was in middle school when my dad introduced me to one of his interns at his work. Areum, that was her name, she just got out of law school. She was nice and pretty...I saw them having sex in my dad’s office. I hated her so much I slashed her tires and broke her mirrors.” You open your eyes and his eyes are closed. “ My mom knows that my dad has affairs, she just lets it happen.”
He must be lonely at his house. “ What’s your favorite food?,” you ask Jungkook.
“ Pork belly. Yours?,” he smiles for the first time at you.
“ Today it is kimchi fried rice.”
He sighs, “ Why do you always do that Y/N?”
“ Do what?”
“ Tell me things that other people want to hear. You did it with the ‘what’s your favorite color question too’. I really want to know what you like and hate,” Jungkook says softly.
You flush a little, never ever having to tell what you want or what you like. “ I like Sundubu-jjigae. My Dad used to make it for me when I was younger,” you smile to yourself.
Jungkook chuckles, “ When you were younger, you make it sound like you're in your mid thirties. Why doesn’t he make it for you anymore?” He is disappointed to see your smile disappear when he asks this question.
“ He’s busy,” you want to tell Jungkook all your troubles but you swallow them. “ Wake me up in 15 minutes,” you close your eyes and rest on the hard table.
--
Chaeyoung invites you to her party and you really don’t want to go but you have to. Once you enter the party you go straight to the alcohol, taking two shots before looking for Chaeyoung. She’s smoking outside and standing beside her, she offers you a hit and you take it.
“ How’s it going with him?” she immediately asked.
You blow the smoke away from her, “Good I guess, he’s gotten closer to me.” You hand the blunt back to her.
“ I can tell. Anything important he said?”
There’s always a small part of you that feels guilty when you have to tell the clients shared secrets. “ His dad is having an affair with his interns. He hates that his mom doesn’t say anything. He’s sad that he can never love or be loved.”
“ Hm, good work. Do you think he’ll ever love me?” Chaeyoung gives a new blunt and you take it.
No Jungkook will never love Chaeyoung. “ Yes. Just give him time.”
“ Okay.” She smiles bashfully to herself. “ Keep up with the good work.” And with that she leaves you. You look at the blunt in your hands and put it in your pocket.
You walk around her house looking at her pictures that are against the wall. She looks like the only child, the house looks big and pristine despite all the people here, she must be spoiled. You go upstairs to use the bathroom and then you stay there for thirty minutes watching videos on your phone. You get a text from Namjoon to see if you were at the party, you tell him yes and go downstairs. “ Hey Y/N! Studied hard for the test tomorrow?”
“ Of course not, I’m here partying,” you smile at him giving him a drink. Namjoon laughs and goes to the dance floor.
“Hey Y/N.” Jungkook says.
“ What’s up. Wanna get high?” You take the blunt and wave it in front of his face.
He laughs and smiles at you, nodding his head yes. Jungkook leads you to a bedroom and you assume it’s Chaeyoung because there's pictures of her and her friends. You go towards her window and open, you feel a cold breeze and you shiver. “ Here,” he pulls his hoodie off and hands it to you.
“ Uh, Thanks,” you put over you and immediately feel warmth. It smells like him. You don’t know how to describe it but it’s nice. You light up the joint and inhale the smoke letting it consume your lungs. Jungkook takes the joint and does the same. He blows it out and sighs in content.
“ This is some good shit. Who did you get this from?,” Jungkook sits down on the bed.
“ Your girlfriend. The tall pretty girl who always wears red lipsticks,” you laugh and lay on the bed with your joint close by. He doesn’t say anything and you pass the joint to him. It goes on like this for a while just passing it back and forward until there wasn’t nothing left. You throw the butt in the trashcan by the bed. Jungkook lays beside you looking at the ceiling and chuckles.
“ She’s not my girlfriend. Just someone who’s using me,” he turns sideways to look at you. “ But it’s okay I’m using her too,” he says softly.
The weed makes you feel light and you are not functioning straight. And for that reason the words that came out his mouth made you laugh. They are all using each other including you. Jungkook gives you weird stares but smiles anyways asking you what’s funny. “ Nothing I’m just really fucking high and I haven’t been high in a long time,” you try to wipe the tears in your eyes but you feel his hands wiping them away. His fingers brush against your cheek and he is staring into your eyes. If this was a romantic novel both you guys would've kissed but it’s not. The warmth of his hand is gone and it feels cold, you don’t deserve to feel his warmth. “ If you don’t mind me asking how are you guys using each other?”
Jungkook sighs, “ Chaeyoung only wants me because I come from a rich family. I would be like a prize or something to her. I only use her for sex. Just meaningless sex,” he looks at you to see if your expression has changed but it didn’t. If Jungkook can see it so easily then why doesn’t Chaeyoung see it.  “ Have you ever used anyone Y/N?”
“ You,” you say mindlessly. What if you told him the truth would Jungkook still want to be your friend? He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “ Yeah, when I asked to be your partner in chemistry.” Jungkook laughs at your statement and scoots closer to you.
“You’re so pretty,” he lets out under his breath.
Your heart skips a beat but you shouldn’t feel this way. “ And you are high.” You laugh while pushing his chest a little. Your hands feel his toned chest blushing you pull your hands away.
“ I am but you are still pretty. I thought you were pretty the first time I saw you. Also a little bit mean,” he smiles thoughtfully. His hand reaches to the fallen strands of your hair pushing it back from your face.
“ Of course you would remember being mean,” you roll your eyes.
“ Yeah you made a bad impression. It’s okay I like you.” He continues to make eye contact to see your reaction.
Fuck Jungkook likes you. Why does he have to make it so much harder than it already is? And why do you feel happiness when he confesses to you? “Why do you like me?”
“ You understand me. I could talk to you about anything and you just know how I feel.”
“Jungkook I—”
“It’s okay you don’t need to say anything,” he pinches your cheek and laughs. “God I’m so hungry we—”
“Jungkook can you kiss me?” You bite your bottom lip nervously and play with the string of his hoodie.
He doesn't say anything but leans closer, “ Are you sure?” Nodding your head and closing your eyes, you hope that this kiss doesn’t affect you in any way. His lips kiss you carefully while his hand holds your cheek. It feels nice, it’s not like that kind of kiss that makes you feel like you're in heaven or that you find the answer to every unsolvable question. But it feels like you can kiss him and you won’t have to worry about anything.
He pulls back with hazy eyes and a smile, you pull him back for a second kiss. His tongue traces your bottom lip asking for permission to enter, and you grant him. The position is uncomfortable since you are both laying on the side so he hovers over while you keep kissing him. His lips leave yours and you whine a little, and he laughs but continues his kisses to your neck. The feeling of lips on your neck makes you feel warm all over your body. He bites your skin on a sensitive part of your neck and you gasp.
“ Jungkook…” You sighed. He groans and you place your hands on his hair, tugging it lightly so he can return to your lips. One of his hands goes to rest between his hoodie you’re wearing and your shirt, caressing your stomach. The kisses become more desperate and you start to feel his hard member against your core.
He pulls back from the kiss and looks at you with a fond smile,“ Y/N, I like you a lot. I haven’t felt this way with anyone before.” He rests his head against your neck, laying completely on you.
Laughing you play with his hair, “ You’re heavy!”
“ Just let me stay here for a while,” he muffles against your neck. You turn your head to the side and see the picture of Chaeyoung and her friends. Fuck what are you doing Y/N.

You are walking to your Literature class and feel someone pull you into a classroom. It’s the art classroom where students normally work on pieces and leave them there to be secured. Taehyung locks the door and stares at you with a deadly glare, crossing your arms. “ What the hell are you doing Y/N?”
“ What the hell am I doing? What the hell are you doing?” You try to leave but he steps in front of the door. “ Move, Taehyung.”
“ What are you planning to do with Jungkook?”
You scoff and look around the room, “ Nothing.” You weren’t surprised that Taehyung knew what was going on, he was always suspicious of you even with Jimin.
“ Y/N, don’t fucking play dumb. You especially don’t want to fuck with me,” he says sternly.
“ Why does this concern you?”
“ Because Jungkook is my friend! I don’t want him to get hurt because of this stupid game you like to play.”
You laugh bitterly, “ A game? You think this is a game?”
“ Well I’ve seen the shit you do Y/N, you’ve done with Hoseok and Jimin. And now Jungkook. Just to have fun playing with people’s feelings.  Stay the hell away from him,” he turns his back from you.
“ Wait up asshole,” you grab his wrist so he can look at you. “ You don’t have the right to talk to me like that. You think I do this for fun? Huh, you think I like fucking do this. Not everyone is as privileged as you,” you rant and there’s angry tears starting to fall out.
Taehyung’s face shows nothing but confusion, “ Y/N...why are you crying?”
You wipe the tears away, “ I don’t like it Taehyung. I really don’t. I just need the money for college.” You push him to the side so you can exit the classroom but he stops you.
“ Y/N, I can help you. My dad knows people that can give you high paying job-”
“ Stop, I don’t want your pity.”
“ Shut up and listen to me,” he says and you give him a glare. “ Sorry, but I just don’t want you to do this anymore Y/N. I can tell it’s hurting you. Please stop this and tell Jungkook the truth.”
--
The library is empty and it’s just the two of you silently working on school work. “ Want to play Xbox at my house?” You stop typing your essay when Jungkook asks you this.
Sighing you close the laptop, “Yeah, I’m beat with this essay.” He helps you pack up your stuff and leads you to his car. It’s your first time in his car and it suits him. As he continues driving to his home you pass through multiple affluent neighborhoods. Finally when you arrive at his place your eyes widen. It's bigger than Chaeyoung and it’s front lawn looks so green and spacious.
After silently gawking at the inside of his house he leads you to his room. You immediately are fond of the scent and the pictures of the room. A picture frame is placed on his desk, grabbing it you smile. “ That’s me and Taehyung. When we were younger.”
“Kim Taehyung?”
“ Yeah we are great friends, he doesn’t hangout with us during lunch since he is busy finishing touches on his art portfolio for college,” he says while setting the Xbox on. “ You two know each other?,” he looks back at you with a curious gaze.
“ Not really. We had art history together ,” you casually say while you sit on his bed.
Few hours passed and your multiple losses with his video games had made you upset but it was fun. You never had this much fun in a long time. He laughs when he kills in the video game and you throw a pillow at his head. “C’mon don’t be a sore loser,” he grabs your remote and places it on his console.
“ I have every right to be, you don't even give me a chance,” you pout and lay down on his bed. Your skirt rises showing more skin and Jungkook stares at it. His fingers brush your thighs carefully, you flush at the nice sensation. He looks away from your legs and throws a small blanket on them, and sits on his bed with his back against the headboard. You copy his actions and lay your head against his shoulder just looking at his black screen tv. “ Have you ever cared for someone, Jungkook?”
“ I would say no but I would be lying to myself,” he touches your hair carefully. You lean into his touch like a needy kitten. “What about you?”
“ I’m starting to care for someone but I’m scared I might hurt him—“
“Then don’t,” Jungkook said sternly. “...Don’t hurt him. Don’t hurt me,” this time he says softly. You turn to look at him and he looks beautiful with his soft features but determined eyes. He closes the gap between you two and kisses you gently. It’s warm, you feel warm like everything is perfect but it’s not.
“ Jungkook we shouldn’t,” you lightly push his chest. He looks at you with hurt and confusion but backs off.“I just...I don’t want to complicate things.”
He looks lost and searches for your eyes, “ I don’t understand… I thought you like me… I like–“
“ Please Jungkook, you don’t like me. You say you like me but your having sex with other people. You're just fascinated with me because you're lonely…you don’t like me. No one will,” you say quickly and rush to get your things.
“ What the hell are you talking about?,” he voice rises. “ Chaeyoung is nothing to me. I haven’t had sex with her since we like met. Don’t you dare call me fucking lonely when your fucking lonely yourself. You analyze people thinking you're better than everyone, guess what you're not. You're just good at lying to yourself,” he finishes and pushes his head hair back in frustration.
You don’t say anything because all of those were true and it hurts to hear him say it. “Goodbye Jungkook,” you quickly walk out of his house despite him calling your name.
—-
It’s been a few days since the fight with Jungkook and you’ve been dreading to get up each morning. The rainy weather fits your mood and you're done with all this shit. You send Chaeyoung a text if you can talk to her and she invites you to her house.
You're in front of her house door and you open it since she said she left it open for you. Walking upstairs you hear moaning and you halt. It’s coming from her bedroom and your heart stops. “Fuck–Jungkook! Please don’t stop!” The sound of the bed frame hitting the wall is making your head hurt so you back down stairs to the living and wait there. Listening to Jungkook and Chaeyong have sex put a pang on your heart. You really thought Jungkook liked you and now you feel like a fool.
You hear them stop wiping your tears and fixing yourself up, you hear footsteps coming down stairs. Pretending to type vigorously on the keyboard on your phone you make yourself look busy. “Y/N?,” you look up to see Jungkook and it hurts even more to see him. He’s lightly shining because of the sweat and there’s red marks on his neck.
You try to smile at him but it's just filled with sadness, “ Hey. I just needed to give her something.”
“ Y/N, it’s not what you–fuck I’m stupid. Can we talk later or something? Please I want to talk to you,” Jungkook pleads as he tries to grasp your hands. “I’m sorry about everything and this meant nothing I was sad and she–
“ It’s okay. I’ll see you later,” you squeeze his hand. Jungkook gives you a hopeful look.
You walk upstairs and Chaeyoung is lying down naked on her bed with her phone in her hands. You see her clothes on the floor and you hand it to her. It hurts to see her lying in bed breathless because of Jungkook. She dresses while you talk, “ I don’t want to do this anymore. The contract is cancelled.”
Chaeyoung's eyes widened, “Why?” You don’t answer her and look away as she throws away the used condom on the floor. “You caught feelings for Jungkook, huh? I can tell the way you look at him and the way he looks at you. I didn’t pay you to fucking make him fall in love with you Y/N.”
“ It’s not that...he doesn’t like you, okay. He already knows that you want him because he’s wealthy and hot. It’s pointless to continue this”
“ And what about you Y/N? He likes you because you are not using him? Last time I checked you were getting paid to use him.”
“Whatever I’m done.”
“I’ll tell him what you do,” Chaeyoung threatens you.
“ I was going to tell him anyways. Don’t forget you are the one who paid me to do this, we are both not innocent,” you leave her house.
You lay in bed for a couple days not bothering to go to school. You tell your mom that you have bad period cramps and she doesn’t attempt to force you to go to school. Jungkook texted you multiple times but you're too scared to read his messages. After three days you decided to go to school and you dread it, you purposely walk slower as you walk there.
“ It’s lab day guys! Nice for you to come to class Y/N,” the teacher welcomes as you enter the class late. You are walking to your desk until she interrupts, “ Y/N sit by Jungkook, his partner isn’t here today.”
You walk towards the empty desk beside him and look at the lab assignment that was on the desk. “ Where were you these past days? I kept texting you but you didn’t answer. I’m sorry that you saw me at Chaeyoung’s house. I still mean what I said at the party... ” Jungkook bites his lip trying to see your face but you're staring down at the assignment. “Y/N…”
You hear every word that he says but it still hurts that he had sex with her but then it wasn’t like if you guys were together. “ The first answer has a frequency of 1.9 GHz,” you say. You did the calculations in your head. The first time you met you lied to him saying that you were bad at chemistry. “ I lied to you Jungkook, I’m good at chemistry. I’m sorry.”
He looks at you with confusion, “ It’s okay... but are you okay? You don’t look well,” he checks if you have fever by letting his hand rest on your forehead.
“ Are you really okay with me lying to you?,” you say quietly. His hands leave your forehead and look at you carefully. “ I need to tell you something.”
“ Jungkook, Y/N! Are you guys done flirting, the assignment is due after class,” the teacher yells out from the front of the class. You hear a couple students chuckling and Jungkook rolls his eyes.
“ We will talk about this later, okay? He pats your thigh and continues to solve the problems.
You are both outside for lunch sitting in his car. “ You can tell me anything Y/N. I’m here for you,” Jungkook stares at you and grabs your hand.
“ I was paid to get close to you Jungkook,” you say without taking breath.
“ What?,” he laughs incredulously. You don’t laugh with him, “ Is this a joke?,” he says seriously.
“ No it’s not. I get paid by certain people you want to be with a person. I get their secrets and what’s so important to them and tell the person who’s paying.” You look at him and there’s a million questions that’s going on inside of him. “ Chaeyoung paid me, Jungkook.” He stops holding your hand and gives you a hard stare. “ I’m sorry, I am really sorry. I wish I could take it back but I can’t.”
He lets out a humourless laugh, “ Wow, and I was stupid enough to tell you everything. I told fucking things that I haven’t told anyone and you tell her. And to believe that I actually thought you liked me, cared for me--”
“ I do care! I like you so much Jungkook that for once in my life I was happy and I wasn’t tired,” you plead with tears in your eyes.
“ Get out. You used me, I don’t think I can ever so your face again. Leave.” Jungkook looks out his window not wanting to see your face as you leave his car.
“ Hey Y/N, where have you been? I’ve been looking everywhere--,” Heejin says but you hug her crying into her shoulder. “ It’s okay let it all out,” she pats your back soothing your whimpers.
“ I’m so sorry Heejin. I’m sorry, thank you for being my friend but I ruined it all,” you cry out. You feel Heejin looking around the halls and she leads you to the bathroom.
“ How...what have you ruined?” Heejin softly asks while pushing your hair out of your face.
“ I do awful things. You won’t like me after I tell you.” You look at her and she looks like an angel with her white dress.
She shakes her head, “ Tell me and I will find a way to understand.”
You tell her what you do and she looks confused half the time as you explain it going through each client you had but never stating their name. You expect her to yell at you, to look at you in shame, or just to simply leave but she doesn't do either of those things. Instead she hugs you tight, “ You must have been going through a rough time being all by yourself.”
“ Heejin… Jimin paid me to do this to you. I’m sorry, I don’t deserve your--”
“ But you told me the truth right now, you understand what you did was wrong and you are apologizing for it.” You shake your head and the tears are slowing down but your heart still hurts. “ It takes two people to make a transaction, you shouldn’t be the only one hurting, Y/N.”
“ Thank you Heejin. I..I uh I want to thank you for being a good friend. If we can still be friends…”
“ Y/N stop. We are still friends. Let’s get out of the restroom, it smells like weed,” she smiles and grabs your hand. You walk together towards her car and she tells you what’s been going on with her cat. It goes silent when she mentions Jimin. “ I have to talk about this to him,” she sighs and you squeeze her hand lightly.
The weeks pass by and you’re in your AP Physics class when Namjoon decides to sit next to you. “Why haven’t you’ve been sitting with us anymore?” He whispers while the teacher is lecturing.
“I’ve been busy with college admissions,” you tune out the teacher’s voice. He does a bad job at teaching anyways.
“Something happened between you and Jungkook, right ?”
“Why would you even need to ask me if you knew it already.” You roll your eyes and solve the problems for today’s homework.
“ You know I wanted to ask you out after you started hanging out with us.” He gives you a cheeky smile and you laugh. “ I told Jungkook that I was into you this was before the Chaeyong’s party...and he told me that you’re not into people with glasses.”
“Why would I not be into people with glasses when I sometimes wear them?” You stifle laughter with your hand.
He barks out a laugh and the teacher looks at you two but continues on. “ Jungkook doesn’t think through things. But I caught on that little Jungkookie had a crush on you.”
“ Not anymore,” you sigh.
“ Talk to him please. He looks like shit, he always looks at your table at lunchtime. Contemplating how to talk to you,” he looks at your homework and checks his answer.
“ What if he doesn’t want to listen to me?” You look at his answer to see a significant difference.
“He’ll listen. If he doesn’t tell him that you are going to date me,” he says jokingly. “ Y/N please help me with this,” pointing at his obvious wrong answer.
Heejin is waiting for you in the school parking lot wanting to eat at a new ramen place. Walking to her car you hear your name being called and it’s from Chaeyoung. What does she want, walking to her you, you see her smoking. “ Make it quick.”
“What a way to greet me,” she chuckles. “ How are you?” She flicks the cigarette on the floor and steps on it.
“ Good. See you later.” You say and turn around to leave.
“ We are still having sex.”
You stop and feel anger and sadness rising within you but you put it aside, “What do you want?”
“ I heard him cry when he was in the shower after we were done. I also heard him moan your name once when we were doing it.” She rolls her eyes and sighs, “ It’s meaningless sex anyways. I’m always facing away from him so he won’t see my face.”
“ Funny how he’s still talking to you,” you scoff. Jungkook doesn’t even look your way but he’s able to have sex with Chaeyoung.
“ He’s not talking to me, he fucks and just leaves. I guess that’s my punishment,” she arches her brow and shrugs her shoulder.
“You shouldn’t be punished like that Chaeyoung. It's not healthy for you,” you tell her softly.
“ I know,” she smiles tiredly. “ I’m putting an end to it, I can’t do this to myself, to him...to you.” You nod your head and part ways until she stops you, “Here like I promised.”
“No I don’t want it,” you stop her from giving you money. “ Chaeyoung it will make me feel bad.”
“Okay. See you later,” she goes into her car and walks the opposite way.
“Finally you're here! I’m starving!” Heejin yells with excitement as you enter her car.
“ This place better be good.” You tell her and she rants on how she always picks good restaurants. Your phone lights up and you see a notification from your bank. Did you forget to pay a bill. $10,000 has been transferred to your checking account.
---
The next day you decide to approach Jungkook during lunch and you get very nervous, shaking your leg throughout class. You walk with Heejin to his table and Jimin greets you. “ Hey Y/N,” he nods at you and  whisk Heejin from you, greeting her with kisses all over her face. Heejin confronted Jimin that day you broke down, they were able to talk it out and now they are dating.
“ Y/N! Sit here,” Namjoon pats next to the empty space between him and Namjoon. Jungkook doesn’t look at you just staring at his phone and browsing his social media.
“ Hey guys,” you sit down trying not to bump into Jungkook. Namjoon tells you how he fell down his bike while showing you his scrape. Jungkook doesn’t join the conversation just silently watching you both talk. You catch him a few times looking at you and your heart races a little.
The bell rings indicating lunchtime is over and everyone disperses while you take your time throwing your trash. “ Hey.” Jungkook is standing beside you and throws his trash away.
“ Hey,” you say back quietly. “ How’s your day?”
“ Good.” He scratches his neck and looks around the cafeteria. “ Are you going to the library?”
“ Yeah… you want to join me?” Please say yes.
“ Yeah I’ll come.” Jungkook walks beside you whistling lightly. The library is empty and you chose a table near the back.
“ I miss you,” Jungkook speaks out and looks at you.
Your eyes widen, “ I miss you too.”
“ Why do you do it?”
“ What?”
“ I just want to know why you do it, is it for fun or money?” Jungkook scoots closer to you wanting to hear you clearly.
“ I don’t have enough money to go to college. I don’t want my parents to worry about paying for it. They work too hard. Adding my college tuition to their bills will take a toll on them. I don’t like what I do but I do it anyway.” You cut off the eye contact, looking away in shame.
Jungkook sighs and grabs your hand, “ I’m sorry. I got hot headed and ignored you. It would’ve been easier to not get mad at you if I heard your reasoning.” You look at him and he wipes your tears. “ Y/N...I uh I had sex with Chaeyoung during our time apart. I’m sorry I was mad and I wanted to hurt the both of you. I realized how much of a dick I was…”
“It’s okay Jungkook. I’m sorry too,” you sheepishly smile.
“Can we start all over?” He gives you his signature bunny smile and the butterflies flutter in your belly.
“Yes please,” you lean forward and hug tightly. He rubs your back and your entrance with the feeling of comfort.
