You’re Going To Be A Grand….Bat
Part 2 to Shower Suprise Part 3
Jason Todd x gn pregnant reader
Word count 2,303
You bounced your foot impatiently as you and Jason sat in the gynecologist’s purposefully pastel waiting room. He watched you look anxiously around the space, your eyes never settling on any one thing and your head perking to every name called. You fiddled with your new engagement ring, a small smile curling into his lip upon seeing it. He held your right hand gently but firmly, his thumb rubbing circles along your soft skin. He slipped his grip up to your wrist, pressing just enough to feel your wild heartbeat racing.
“Hey, look at me doll.” He said lowly. You turned to look at him, your eyes possessing a frantic look and your pretty face twisted with worry. He let go of your hand to cup your cheek.
“It’ll be alright sweetheart. Either way it goes, it’ll be alright. You just gotta stay calm and breathe. Can you breathe for me?” You closed your eyes as you sucked in a shuddered breath, but you matched his in and exhales. You were both 99% sure you were pregnant, that’s not what you were nervous about.
After further deliberation, the two of you had decided to keep the baby. Jason felt nervous, excited, stressed, ecstatic, and terrified all at the same time. He’d spent the whole night reading about the first trimester of pregnancy and researched what you would learn at the first ultrasound. That was why you were nervous.
They’d go over basics: how far along you are, the baby’s measurements, listen to the heartbeat, etc. However, they’d also possibly hear some bad news: Ectopic pregnancy, developmental screenings, and genetic abnormality screenings are what had you stressing. Of course, chances were everything would be fine, but the couple was still understandably scared.
“Y/l/n?” A nurse called from the now open door. Jason squeezed your hand then stood, grabbing your bag and following you into the office. She confirmed your identity, took your height and weight, then led you into a small room. She had you sit on the cold blue exam table, the paper crinkling as Jason helped you up. He took his place at the chair by your side then once again grabbed your hand. You met his eyes and smiled nervously.
“Alright, I understand we’re doing an ultrasound today?” You nodded and she smiled warmly at you both. She took your basic intake info then had you lay down.
“Now I’m just an exam tech. The doctor will be in after to go over the results with you, okay? Pull your shirt up to your bust and relax. Oh, and sorry in advance, this will be cold.” Once you were settled, she squeezed a clear gel onto your bare belly making you shudder.
“Jesus fuck. That is cold.” Jason chuckled. Between the two of you his kid would be cursing like a sailor by 2.
You both watched the technicians face closely for any sign of what she was seeing as she waved the wand along your belly, but she had an impeccable poker face. And, as someone raised to analyze facial expressions, he couldn’t get a read of her at all. Impressive.
The exam thankfully only took a few minutes and the technician quickly departed to share the results with the doctor. Jason grabbed a couple of the cheap, rough paper towels and brought them over. You thanked him with a smile then moved the wipe the slick gel off. He tossed them for you as soon as you were done.
“You okay doll?” He asked. You still looked beyond anxious.
“I’m fine, just impatient.”
“Well that much I know.” He teased. You smiled and smacked his arm. He pretended to be hurt as if Superman himself had slugged him.
“Oh shut up, drama queen.” You laughed. There was a knock at the door before he could respond.
“Hi, I’m Dr. Hall and I’ll be going over your results with you today. I can see you’re both waiting anxiously, so I’ll cut to the chase: you’re 8 weeks pregnant.” The two now confirmed new parents looked at each other with excitement growing on their faces. He squeezed your hand tight.
“Wait, I didn’t finish.” The doctor interjected. The two froze and looked at her nervously. Oh no, was something wrong? She didn’t look like it was bad news though. A slight smile tugged at her lips.
“You’re pregnant with twins.” She said simply. If there were a window in the room, Jason would swear there’d be a bird suspended in air outside the way the world froze around him. You were the first to break the stunned silence.
“No, I’m not.” You denied, disbelief painting your tone. The doctor laughed.
“Yes, you are.” She grabbed a folder from the counter behind her and handed you a black and gray photo. Not just any photo, your ultrasound. The shock of twins dissipated when you saw the two little blobs that would be your babies.
“They’re not very visually developed at this stage, but you can see their little heads right here and this is their body. They’re about the size of raspberries right now. They’re both perfectly healthy so far as we can tell, but you’ll need to come in monthly for checkups.” Neither responded, their eyes glued to the paper. It suddenly felt very real for Jason. Pregnant wasn’t just a word and parenthood wasn’t just an idea; he already had two kids on the way. He had a whirlwind of emotions raging inside of him.
Twins. You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me, he thought. He heard you sniffle then turned to you to see tears rolling down your cheeks. He was worried for a moment before you wiped them away with a small laugh.
“Sorry, I don’t know why I’m crying.” The doctor smiled and handed you a tissue.
“It’s alright! Totally normal reaction with your hormones. Congratulations!” Jason still hadn’t said anything. He heard the conversation going on around him, but he felt like he was in a trance.
Twins. Two cribs, two car seats, two beds, twice the diapers, twice the bottles, twice the spit up, and more than likely half their sleep for the next couple years.
“I take it you’re the father?” She asked. Something clicked in his mind, and he looked up to meet your eyes. His head was still spinning, but he knew with you at his side everything would be okay. His signature handsome smile began growing on his face.
“Yeah, I’m the dad.”
You left with a copy of the ultrasound and your 12-week checkup scheduled. Once in the car the two of you made your way home.
“Jay, can I address the elephant in the room?” You asked from the passenger side.
“I mean sure but, we’re in the car and I don’t see an elephant anywhere.” He remarked making you scoff.
“Don’t be a smartass.” You chided. He let out a sigh.
“I know we need to tell Bruce.”
“He’s gonna find out sooner or later, and if you hide it for too long, he’s gonna get his feelings hurt.” Jason barked a laugh.
“You know we’re talking about Batman, right?”
“He’s human, Jay. And he’s really making an effort with you. If you don’t tell him he’s going to think you don’t trust him, it’ll hurt his feelings, and he’ll express it in anger or coldness. Better?” He groaned.
“Fine.” He made the turn that takes you out of the city to the suburbs where the manor was located.
“Wait we’re going right now?”
“I know he’s home right now, and most of my siblings aren’t. It’s as good a time as any.” You didn’t say anything, just squeezed the hand he had resting on your thigh.
“Can you let Al know we’re on the way?”
Telling Bruce had been an issue dancing around his mind just as much as the pregnancy itself. He didn’t expect B to be mad, but he doubted he’d be happy about it. For someone who had a small army of kids himself, B had been very clear about how dangerous it is to bring kids into their world. Plus, Jason had always said Bruce should give criminals the safe sex talks he and his siblings had received. The awkwardness alone would probably set them on a better path.
The manor was only about 20 minutes away from the hospital, so you reached your destination quickly. Which was good, because Jasons nerves were already shot by the time you arrived. Alfred had clearly been waiting for you as the door was open by the time they were on the stairs.
“Master Todd, y/n, it’s good to see you both.” Alfred greeted with a smile.
“Hey, Al. Where’s B?” Alfred scoffed.
“Where he always is.” The trio made their way through the manor, into the study, then descended into the cave. Being that it was only 11am, they found Bruce in his street clothes typing away at the Bat-computer, his back to the entrance.
“Hey, B.” Jason greeted as they got closer. Bruce looked up from his research and turned to them with his universe famous resting bitch face.
“Jason, y/n.” He acknowledged with a nod before going back to his case. The couple looked anxiously at each other before Jason cleared his throat.
“B, we uh… we actually need to talk to you.” Jason said tentatively. That got Bruce’s attention.
He fully turned away from the computer to face you. You stared at the floor, your hands fiddling anxiously with the hem of your shirt. Jason looked him in the eye, but his face was controlled, intentional. He gripped a folder in his hand with white knuckled strength.
You were both nervous as hell.
He noticed the new ring on your finger, but you weren’t here to announce your engagement. This was something else. Something important that affected you both, that clearly involved Bruce, and that you were anxious about.
“Excuse me.” Alfred said with a small bow, dismissing himself.
“Actually Al, you should stay.” Jason added. Bruce and Alfred both raised a brow to that. There were several potential options mulling around Bruce’s mind, but one stood out as a prominent possibility.
“Don’t tell me you’re pregnant.” He said, still painfully deadpan. You both froze, head snapping up like deer in headlights. Shit, you were pregnant.
“Are you serious?” He asked, his voice sterner than he meant it to be but he didn’t bother correcting himself. Jason approached and handed him the folder, then took a step back to your side, placing a reassuring hand on your hip. Bruce flipped it open with Alfred peering over his shoulder.
Bruce had never been there for the pregnancy of any of his kids and had never really been around pregnant people for any extended periods of time, but he knew what a sonogram looked like. And he also knew there weren’t typically two fetuses in the picture either.
“My god, you’re having twins?” Alfred exclaimed. The couple both nodded silently. Bruce sighed.
“After all the talks I had with you boys…” He muttered.
“We used a condom!” Jason defended.
“And birth control.” You added. Bruce groaned and ran a hand over his face.
He looked at Jason, his son. His son that had been through hell and seen the world at its worst. His son who died and was brought back angry and crazed. Bruce’s greatest failure. His son who went on a killing spree, following his own vengeful sense of justice. His son who, after everything, was trying to be a better man. He was a better man. A man who controlled his anger, who was denying vengeance for justice, who had settled in with a partner and really began building a life for himself. Bruce wasn’t the sort to load praise, he found words useless and pretty, so he preferred actions. However, he was proud of Jason in a way unique to his children. And now his son, whom he once thought lost, was having two kids of his own. Bruce sighed again.
“I’m not even 50 and you’re making me a grandpa?” He asked, the slightest quirk at the corner of his lip. The couple paused; a loading screen might as well have been floating above their heads.
“So you’re…” you began.
“Not pissed?” Jason finished. Bruce scoffed.
“No. You’re adults, you can make your own decisions.” He said plainly but paused.
“And, for the record, I think you’ll be great parents.” With that he turned back to the computer and set to work again.
“Oh, and congratulations on the engagement.” He yelled over his shoulder. You furrowed your brows.
“How did he- oh, right. World's greatest detective, I forgot.” Bruce snorted to himself at that last part.
“My congratulations to the both of you. How far along?” Alfred said as he approached the new parents to be.
“8 weeks.” You answered smiling brightly, your hand moving to your currently unchanged belly. Something warm lit in Jason’s chest.
“Well, I wish you luck informing the rest of the family, I’m rather thankful we don’t have neighbors. They’re sure to cause quite the ruckus in their excitement.”
“You think they’ll be excited?” You asked anxiously. Jason knew you were worried about your place in his massive and chaotic super family.
“Oh, babe, they’re gonna be through the roof. Two babies? You kidding? There’s gonna be a war from day 1 to be the favorite aunt or uncle.” You smiled, your nerves dying down.
“Everyone will be together for dinner tonight, perhaps you could join us then? I’m making tortellini.” Alfred tempted. Jason suddenly looked like a kid on Christmas.
“Oh, babe, we have to do it. You’ve never had Al’s homemade tortellini, absolutely killer.” You laughed.
“I guess we’ll see you for dinner tonight.”
Note: I know, I knoooow the twin trope is overdone but the image of Jason trying to juggle two toddlers is just too good. I have one more piece drafted then I may write the whole family reveal, but I’m anxious to write that many characters at once. Also I know I have a pretty nice Bruce, but I don't feel like Batman as a character needs to be an absuive ass to his kids to be himself. And again, I'm a new writer so I'm sorry if it's bad lol. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

My Found Family
I never grew up with the luxury of family. As an orphan, my childhood was lacking to say the least, and it left me jealous of any kid with caring fathers and siblings. That's why I had to find my family. Nobody's perfect, but with a little reconditioning, I've trained them to be exactly what I was looking for.
This guy is now my father...
Tumblr media
"Breakfast is ready, boys!" I call, using my lower register like I'm supposed to, "Whoops! I mean bacon-fest!"
Guttural laughter comes from my stomach even though I don't find my joke that funny. Bad jokes like this have sort of become my personality lately. In fact, my whole life has transformed over the last couple days. A week ago, I would've never imagined myself strolling around my house in nothing but underwear and a robe! My standards for style seem to have vanished along with pretty much every other part of my old way of being.
It happened three days ago at a grocery store, when I ran into this guy in the produce section. He caught me examining avocados for ripeness and walked right up, beginning to talk like we'd known each other for years.
It was all a bit bizarre, but I found myself unable to turn away. He was explaining my life to myself. Well, not my life, but the one he wanted me to live, the one I was meant to live, and I hung on his every word. He was maybe six years younger than myself, but I was to be his new daddy. It was a role I was proud to fill.
"Here you are, son," I grin widely, unable to contain the feelings of pride I have as he walks into the room.
"Thanks, old man," he answers and grabs the plate gratefully.
For a moment, I stand there and stare. My heart beats for my boy as he tears apart the food I made for him. My paternal instincts have been working overtime lately. I can't help but love that boy with every fatherly fiber of my being.
It doesn't matter that I never wanted kids before. Previously, I'd wanted to remain a bachelor forever, but I have them now, and it couldn't feel more perfect.
With a content grin, I turn back to the sizzling bacon and think about my day. Things I used to hate were now what I looked forward to; mowing the lawn, washing the car, cleaning the gutters. I have a full day of work ahead of me to keep this house in tip top shape. Of course, I'll do it all with an ice cold beer in my hand. I never had a taste for the stuff, but my boy thinks I should grow a bit more of a gut.
I know what I say goes around here, but I could never say no to my favorite son...
I obviously have dad wrapped around my finger, but he's not the only member of this family. This next dude is my new big bro...
Tumblr media
"Fuck yeah," I grunt and sniff up the ripe stench under my arm, "Smells like a real fuckin' man!"
I toss the barbell down, finishing a new personal record on the bench press and I couldn't feel more pumped. My tank top and sweat pants are drenched with sweat, but I love bein' a nasty gym rat: at least, I do now.
A week ago I was waiting tables at this fancy restaurant, when one of the customers got to talking with me. He was sitting alone and looked kinda sad, so I tried to be friendly and I'm sure glad I did! I got a whole new family out of it. He made me quit my job and move into this sweet place. Now I'm his big brother!
Of course, like all big bro's, I'm supposed to work out in the garage all day. I was never one for weights, but I couldn't imagine my life without them anymore. I like to push my limits and get all hot and sweaty. Then I march around the house flexing and farting all over the place. It's not the most refined thing in the world, but my bro explained to me how much I don't care about hygiene and all that crap.
"Wassup, little man," I call as he saunters in.
"Nothing much," he answers, staring at my arms while I show off my biceps.
"Alright, get out of my space. I'm tryin' to work out," I snarl, acting as tough as possible, "Do I need to wrestle you again to prove my point?"
I definitely didn't used to be like this. I used to be the most polite and approachable guy in the world, always chatting random people up, but that guy's gone. My bro got rid of him and his old family. This new family is the only one I'm interested in now, even if I'm not supposed to show it. I'm supposed to be muscular, rude, and gross. It's who I am now.
"Alright, I'll leave you to it," he replies, "You can wrestle me though."
"I will," I frown, flexing even harder, "And this time, I'll win!"
Whenever we wrestle, I always end up with the urge to let him win. It sucks because I could easily beat him, and I should put him in his place, but for some reason, I just know I have to let him win. He just deserves it I guess.
I give him an intense glare and then return to my weights. These arms aren't going to pump themselves...
My big bro always makes my legs quiver, but I love seeing how cocky he can get. Of course, he'll never out wrestle me no matter how big he gets. I programmed him to let me win. Just like I programmed the breadwinner of the bunch...
Tumblr media
A short groan rumbles from my lips. For some reason, everything has been disappointing me lately: my sons, my husband, my job has all been leaving me grumpy and frustrated. Even the channels on the TV aggravate the living hell out of me. I have to fight the urge to chuck the remote across the room.
"How was your day, honey," my husband asks, walking into the room and handing me a beer.
"Great," I moan without any emotion.
Everything's been changing so fast lately, and I couldn't be more over it. I was married to my work, busting ass for years to get promotion after promotion, and I had a job I loved that paid extremely well. I couldn't be more happy, even if I was the only unmarried guy in the office. I didn't mind. I loved my bowling league and my solo trips to Vegas too much to settle down.
Then I met him, my son. Well, he wasn't my son at the time, but after talking, I quickly realized who he was and who I was to him. I'm the head of the household, the disciplinarian, the breadwinner. At least, that's who I've become.
"What's for dinner?" I grunt, peeling my eyes away from the TV.
Looking at my husband, odd feelings bubble up. I used to know him as my neighbor, a nice enough guy, but now I'm married to him. It all happened so fast. He's changed too recently, I think. The guy I knew a week ago would've never walked around all day in a robe and underwear.
His hand reaches out and holds my own, "Steak and potatoes if that's alright with you."
I grunt in agreement, turning back to the TV. My husband's presence stirs my cock to life, straining my member against my work slacks.
This is another new development.
Until now, I'd never had a gay bone in my body. In some ways, I still don't, but my son explained how I should feel about my husband. I should love him, I should be turned on by him, and I should get it on with him. He's right, I suppose.
"Hey, I could use a blow job before you get cooking," I gesture to the thick tent in my pants.
My husband pauses for a moment like he's unsure of what to do, but then it comes to him, "Of course, babe, but we need to be quiet. Both of our boys are home right now."
"Don't worry about it. If they walk in without knocking they'll get the belt," I snort as my husband gets on his knees in front of me.
"You shouldn't be so hard on-" before he can finish, I've shoved his face into my crotch.
Somehow, I know I can be rough with him, just like I can be rough with our sons. I'm the man of the house after all. Within seconds I'm grunting in pleasure while staring at the evening news broadcast. For some reason, I always find myself watching it and complaining about current events. It's just who I am now..
I grin, sneaking a peak at my two dad's going at it in the living room like the good little couple they are. My new family couldn't be more perfect, but no family is complete without the dog...
Tumblr media
"Ruff!" I bark, gleefully scampering over to the bowl of food that was just placed on the floor.
Without hesitating, I shove my face into the bowl, sending the little pellets flying everywhere. They taste like cardboard, but for some reason, I can't get enough of them! I've done nothing but drool and whine for the last hour while the real humans eat their dinner at the table.
"That's a good boy," a voice coos, and I feel fingers running through the hair on my head.
I can barely acknowledge being petted. I know I'm supposed to act like a hungry animal right now, so that's what I do.
I would've never thought I'd find myself as a house pet, but a couple days ago, this guy just walked up to me and talked me into it. It'd just been a normal day for me, working at the car garage when he became my master. I knew right there and then that I had to drop to my hands and knees and follow him home with my tongue out.
My new life has been great ever since. My masters play ball with me outside, they hose me down when I get muddy, and they snuggle with me on the couch at night. I barely even miss my old work and fiance!
"Alright, boy," one of my master's commands, "That's enough. Get in here!"
It's the mean one. The one who used to own this house, but is now just a working dad. He's always the one who hits me with a newspaper when I drink from the toilet. I don't know why, but I just feel compelled to do it!
Licking the bowl clean, I abandon it and crawl into the living room. There, the entire family is gathered around the television.
I stop by the smelly one and sneak in a few licks. I love licking him because he's always salty with sweat and smells funny. After licking his feet for too long, he kicks me away, "Leave me alone, mutt!"
"Oh don't talk to him that way," the nice one adds.
I climb on the couch and curl up beside him. His belly is always the perfect cushion for my head to rest on, and he always lets me lick his beer bottle when he's done. Within a couple minutes, I'm drifting off as his hands absently play with my hair...
...sitting with my family at night is always my favorite part. Watching TV with my two dads, brother, and dog heals the child in me that had always yearned for this. Sure, it might be easier to just go to therapy, but this is sure as hell a lot more fun!

Bad Day - Bang Chan Drabble
Summary: Reader has a terrible day; one of those days where everything goes wrong. Luckily, her boyfriend is there to wipe the stress away with some well deserved hugs.
Word Count: 2.2k
——————————————————
Punch after punch after punch after punch lands on your soul today. Every single time you turned around, another horrible situation would present itself.
You’ve been sick for two and half weeks now. The sore throat would come and go, but you weren’t able to sleep without propping two pillows under your head. This morning when you woke up, your voice was completely gone.
The empty space next to you in bed certainly doesn’t help either. Chan has been gone for a work trip for two weeks now. He wasn’t due home for another two more.
Work has been its own animal to take care of. It was your first job after graduating, so you were at the bottom of the totem pole. Each higher up suddenly felt the need to burden you with any difficult projects they didn’t feel like taking care of themselves.
“I don’t think this is something I was trained on,” you tried to say to one of the more older workers. The huge stack of papers was so heavy in your hands. “These calculations would take me—“
“Just do it, Y/N,” he said before closing the door to the conference room you were standing alone in.
You had just watched that coworker’s boss tell him to do it. But nope, he dumped it on you.
On top of that, you were also tasked with training the new guy even though you’ve only been here for nine months.
And this guy made it his personal mission to make your job even harder. The way he would go from not knowing anything to being a complete know-it-all within two sentences made your blood boil.
But it’s fine. It’s totally fine, you can handle this.
Then, someone ate your lunch out of the fridge even though your name was clearly written on it. Your lunch break was so short that there was no way you could run out to get something else.
It was raining so hard as you jogged to your car through the parking lot. Every spot in the parking garage was taken this morning so you had to use the satellite lot ten minutes away.
Your clothes were drenched by the time you got into your car and slammed the door shut.
Fumbling with the keys, you shoved them into the ignition and started your car. The heat immediately kicked on and you sat there for an extra couple of minutes, warming your frozen fingers in front of the vents.
A book from one of your favorite authors came out today. You were going to pass the store on your way home, why not stop and buy a copy? It certainly would help with the day you were having.
The drive to the store was silent. You didn’t even turn the radio on. If you’re being honest, you didn’t think you could handle sound.
People were everywhere in the bookstore.
You walked in and looked around for the new book. There were signs and posters everywhere that announced the book. Where was it?
“If you’re looking for the new Kingdom book we sold out this morning.” A worker says to you softly.
A small part of you dies.
You politely nod to the worker and leave.
It’s ridiculous how you feel the tears building behind your eyes.
It’s fine. It’s fine. You’re overreacting. It’s totally fine. You’ll just buy a copy on your Kindle. You didn’t even need a physical copy, right?
Your fingers fumble with your keys and you drop onto the ground. They splash right into a puddle.
It’s fine, it’s fine.
Swallowing painfully, you wince at your sore throat and gather your things to get back in the car.
You’ll go home and watch TV.
“It’s Friday,” you whisper to yourself in the car to try and calm down. “It’s treat day, why not stop for a coffee?”
Every Friday you would buy yourself a coffee. ‘Treat Day’ is what you dubbed it as. It slowly became a tradition with you and your friends.
Chan used to always reload your coffee rewards app with his own money without telling you.
A sad smile tugs at your face while you drive to the coffee shop. God, what you wouldn’t give to see him right now.
The tension in your shoulders is so bad you think your shoulders are level with your ears.
After getting your coffee, you drive all the way home to your apartment complex.
Right before you turn into the lot, a car decides to come out of nowhere and cuts you off. You cut the wheel and slam on the brakes to avoid them.
Your coffee launches out of the cup holder and spills all over your lap.
“Fuck!” You curse and try to focus on the road. “Fuck fuck!”
At least it was iced coffee and you’re not burned. Right? Silver lining?
You’re at your limit. Your sanity is teetering.
Parking in your designated spot, you trudge into the large building.
The weight of the day still sits so heavy on your shoulders. Now your lap was soaked with coffee.
A package sits underneath the complex’s mailboxes. It’s ruined and crushed. The ‘FRAGILE’ sticker is gnarled up.
“No,” you sigh and look closer at it.
Yep, it’s yours. The new dishwear set you ordered came in.
When you lift the package you hear all the pieces shift around. It’s just a box of broken ceramic at this point.
Tighter and tighter your throat gets.
Slowly, you trudge up to your floor. Because, of course, the elevator is broken. Of course it is. Why would the elevator work today?
Just as you get your keys out to open your door, your shitty neighbor comes outside.
“Oh god, Y/N, you look horrible.” He says loudly.
You turn and look at him with tears already brimming in your eyes.
No sign of compassion crosses his face, instead, he laughs. He laughs right in your fucking face.
“No wonder I haven’t seen Chan around. He finally came to his senses, eh?”
Your jaw drops open.
“God, pull yourself together.”
Your neighbor picks up his newspaper from the doormat and goes back into his unit without another word.
For a long moment, you just stand there. Your clothes and hair still soaking wet and clinging to your skin, work bag and purse slung over your shoulder, box of broken plates and bowls in your arms.
Inside your body, you felt yourself finally snap. You felt your anger and frustration hit it’s limit.
Your look of surprise quickly morphs into one of seething rage. Lips pulling in a sneer, you rip open your door and stomp inside, slamming it shut behind you.
Dropping everything you own at the door, including the box of glass, you let out a muffled scream.
The box bursts open and glass shards go everywhere. They skitter across the floor and cover the wood in a dangerous mine field.
A moment of silence passes.
You lose it.
You drop to your knees and cradle your face while angry, hot tears stream down your cheeks.
Wails leave your lips as the weight of the day finally takes it’s toll.
On any normal day, you would be able to handle these things individually, but all at once? You just couldn’t deal with it anymore.
“Y/N?!” A voice calls out from the other end of the hallway.
Your head snaps up and you see your boyfriend standing there with a look of horror on his face.
“Chan,” you croak out.
His eyes frantically look around at the scene in front of him. Your disgruntled state surrounded by broken glass.
He’s here? He’s back?
“Y/N, are you okay? What happened? Are you hurt?”
He tries to walk closer but then he realizes he’s also surrounded by broken glass.
“Chan.” Is all your able to say again before the sobs come out even harder. Your entire body wracks with them, chest sputtering as you try to breathe between cries.
His face twists up in anguish.
“S-Stay there! Don’t move, I’m gunna get a dust pan, okay? I’ll be right back, babygirl. Don’t move.”
He continues to say things over and over to you while running to get what he needs.
“I’m here, baby. You’re okay, right? You’re home and safe, Y/N.”
You bury your face in your hands again and continue to cry. His words reach you, but they do nothing to quell the emotions.
Before you could fall further into this headspace, two warm, strong arms wrap around you and pull you into an even warmer body.
“I’m right here, honey, I’m here. You’re okay.” Chan whispers into your hair. He pulls you onto his lap and holds you close.
His comforting scent envelops you everywhere.
Chan rocks back and forth while holding you.
“You’re okay,” he says over and over into your hair. “You’re home now, I’m here, Channie’s here.”
Your face buried into his shoulder, hands gripping his shirt tightly
“What happened, baby?” He asks gently.
You cry harder.
“I’m so sick,” you cry into his shirt. “People keep taking advantage of me at work, I had to park ten minutes away in the rain. Someone ate my lunch. I dropped my keys in a puddle, the new book sold out, I spilled my coffee everywhere. Then fucking 304 across the hall tells me how horrible I look.”
You motion outwards at the glass all over the floor still. “And how do you like our new dishes?”
Even in the middle of a mental breakdown, you still crack a joke.
Saying it all makes you cry even harder. At this point, Chan’s shirt is soaked with your tears.
He continues to hold you as tight as he could. Not once does he tell you to stop crying, instead he carefully scoots and leans against the wall, cradling your body on his lap.
Chan rocks back and forth, pressing kisses into the crown of your hair as you cry your heart out.
His one hand rubs slow circles on your back while the other pets the back of your hair.
Low hums come from his throat. Chan lays his cheek on top of your head and keeps you close to his chest.
“It’s okay, babygirl,” he coos. “You’re home now. You’re with me now.”
“Thank god you’re home,” you hiccup and clutch his shirt closer to you.
“My spidey-senses were tingling,” he jokes in a hushed tone.
You manage to chuckle through your tears.
“My babygirl needed me.”
You’ve always been so happy go lucky, the glass was always half full with you. You always looked on the bright side of everything. If anything bad happened, it always just rolled off your back.
It was one of the main reasons he fell for you.
Chan has never seen you as bad as you were on your knees in the entryway, it shook him to his core.
Another long kiss is pressed to your head.
Slowly, your sobs calm down. Your throat still hoarse and sore from before has only gotten marginally worse.
Sniffling, you sit up away from Chan.
“‘M sorry I got your shirt all gross.”
Chan laughs in spite of everything. Both of his strong hands cup your cheeks for you to look him in the eye.
His chin dips down to your level so he can stare right at you. Those gorgeous brown eyes sparkle at you.
“I’m not upset about my shirt, Y/N,” he says gently. “I’m only worried about my sunshine. It’s not every day you cry, baby.”
“Everything just happened at once.” Chan’s thumbs wipe away the tears on your cheeks. “I tried to keep it together but our neighbor verbally berating me was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
Chan tuts and brushes your hair behind your ear.
“Let’s throw eggs at his door,” he jokes.
He pulls a laugh from you.
“There’s my favorite smile.” He coos. It makes your smile even brighter. You sniffle again, and look down sheepishly.
Chan lifts your chin up with his thumb and forefinger. “Hey baby,” he grabs your attention. “How about this: you go shower off the day, I’m going to clean all this up and order our favorite takeout for dinner. I even stopped on my way home and got two pints of ice cream before.”
“Mint chocolate chip?” You ask softly.
“Of course I got your nasty toothpaste ice cream.” He pinches your cheek teasingly.
You giggle and lean away from his hand.
“Come on, babygirl.”
Before he does anything else, Chan leans forward and presses a long, warm kiss to your forehead.
Both of your eyes close at the comforting feeling it brings. After he kisses your forehead, Chan leans down and kisses both of your cheeks.
His warm lips then press to your nose and then finally to your lips.
It’s a long, sensual, loving kiss. Both of your mouths slipping over one another in a dance.
You sigh happily into the kiss. Chan’s mouth smiles against your own. It’s contagious, you can’t help but mirror the grin with our own.
In the end, you both look like smiling fools wrapped up in one another’s presence.
Chan scoops you up carefully and stands up from the floor, making sure to avoid any stray shards of glass.
“I’m going to take good care of you, my honey.” He coos and presses another kiss to your forehead. “Your bad day ends here.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Isagi was completely fine with being an omega. Sure, in the beginning he thought it may affect his soccer career, but as he grew and matured, he realized that it wasn't a problem anymore. Scent blockers and suppressants were a gift from the gods, and key factor of how he went pro. Without them he didn't know where he would be.
But, it led to an addiction. Constantly hiding his scent, hoping people may mistake him for being a beta so he doesn't have to deal with the slander omegas get on the field. And without heats he doesn't have to miss practice. Hence, every morning he puts a scent blocker sticker on his neck and wrist, and the second he feels a little amiss, he pops a heat suppressant. And he lived fine.
Except then you came into his life. An alpha.
Heats are supposed to be spent with you. His body was begging him to spend it with someone, but he shuts it down immediately. Its unhealthy, and he knows it. A doctor has reminded him for years now, but he brushed it aside.
The two of you had fought about it for about a year now. It was damaging his body, but he was too deep in his soccer career to sacrifice those multiple weeks of the year. You couldn't force him to do it, but every time you saw him pop that pill, and instinctual dread flooded your veins.
He hasn't had a real heat in five years. More than twice longer than what is considered “unhealthy” for an omega. It means when he finally does fall into it, its bound to be painful, and long lasting. Not only that, but his instincts are supposed to be heightened more than usual, so he doesn't know what he will say or do once he goes into it again.
But you finally convinced him spend it with you. He has been hinting for months now that he wanted you to mark him, but when he finally bluntly asked you to claim him, you said you would only do it during his heat. He agreed with much hesitancy.
It's a dread to think about, and honestly he is a little scared. But he promised you he would do it. He (very reluctantly) called off two weeks from soccer practice during off season, when he felt his pre-heat begin to creep up on him.
So, here he is. Going to have his first heat in five years.
The two of you stayed at his place. It was probably better to be at a spot he is comfortable with after all. The days before it weren't too bad, you forced him to put away the scent blockers for a couple of days, so the house smelled strongly of him. He went out of his way to scent as many things as possible, growing anxious as the days went by. He also built a nest on the space next to his bed, covered in blankets, pillows, and too many items from your dirty hamper. He was antsy during this time, finding himself clinging to you, and following you around the house. It was cute honestly, watching him have a slight pout while he grips onto your hand.
His body temperature started to pick up by the third day of his preheat. He started wearing less clothing, and you hand fed frozen fruit to him, hoping to cool him off just a little. He tosses and turns in the night, whining out for you to hold him, comfort him, make the strange feeling stop. It was so confusing and he hated it.
And finally after four days, he experienced his first heat since he was a teenager. It was in the middle of the night, the two of you in his nest, and you were fast asleep when he awoke. Every inch of his body ached, and he was panting. Sweat dripped down his temple, and he could feel slick stain his boxers. It made him groan in frustration, but he couldn't do anything about it because he was so horny.
Everything in him screamed for him to get filled, and as quickly as possible. He doesn't even think about it, tearing off his shirt and boxers. His now naked body trembles and he pants into the back of his hand, before turning to your sleeping form. He quickly finds himself scampering over to you, shaking you awake.
You turn to him with a groan, eyes blinking in the darkness to try to adjust themselves. “Yoichi?” You question, voice hoarse from sleep.
He basically tackles you, collapsing his entire body onto yours, and burying his face into your neck, scenting it quickly and desperately. “It’s h-here–dont know what to do. H-Help. Hurts. It hurts. Make it stop!”
You snap awake in an instant, resting your hand on the back of his head. He straddles your leg, beginning to hump at it. You croon at him, the sound low and comforting, hoping to calm him down just slightly. “What do you need me to do, Yoichi?”
He shakes his head back and forth in your neck. “I don't know! J-Just touch me. Please, alpha!”
You cup the back of his head, letting him rest in your neck, while you reach to grab his toy bag the two of you packed just a couple days earlier. You flick on the lamp on your nightstand and he glances at the bag in your hand, letting out a small growl and nipping at your skin.
You flinch, and he continues to growl, low, not threatening, but annoyed. “Don't want the toys. Touch me,” Isagi hisses, grinding his cock onto your leg.
“Feisty omega,” You murmur, setting the bag on the other side of the nest, and moving to reach behind him.
He gulps at the words, feeling bad already. His hormones are all out of wack, and he can't seem to think straight. He nuzzles into your neck and purrs, lifting his hips up to meet your fingers.
You use a finger to prod at his entrance, eyes slightly widening at the feeling. “Wow love, you are so wet. You're dripping all over your legs and the pillows,” You murmur in astonishment, dragging your finger around the hole.
He whines in embarrassment, cheeks flushed from his heat, and now from humilation. “D-Dont know why. I woke up and it hasn't stopped,” he complains, voice low and gruff. You continue to pet his hair, trying to comfort him.
You hum in response, pressing your other finger into his hole. He shivers at the feeling, clinging onto you in the darkness. When it slips in easier than usual, you prod another one, finding it just as easy to slip in. “Fuck Yoichi, you’re just begging to be fucked aren’t you. Taking it so easy.”
His back is arched by now, pressing into the fingers that are now scissoring him. “More. ‘ts not enough. Please, please. I need more, alpha!” He cries, both sides of him now leaking. His face is flushed, and his whole body feels like its on fire.
You shush his mewls, letting out a soothing scent and he moans into your neck. “Alright, alright. I’m going to make you feel good, relax,” you whisper, trying to pull yourself a way for minute to prepare yourself. He doesn't let you go far, arms wrapping around your entire body, breathing into your skin. The scent seems to make him feel grounded, and it's what he desperately needs right now.
“Here, lay down for me,” You encourage, trying to pull him off just for a second so that you can line yourself up with him. He doesnt seem to listen, shaking his head and panting. Sweat beads at his temples, and he's already beginning to beg again, but you push him to the bed, pinning his hands up for a moment while you press the tip into him.
He groans at the feeling, already borderline oversensitive. “Hold me. Please. Hold me, ‘s hot. I can't–”
You kiss his neck, pressing further inside of him, and his eyes widen, gasping at the feeling. His nails dig into your back and you try not to hiss out, continuing forward till you bottom out in him. Slick continues to leak out and onto the nest, but you don't say anything, afraid of embarrassing him.
But you couldnt help but notice the way his back arches, and the wet feeling now on the both of your stomachs. His breaths are shaky and his hold on you is weak. It gives you a chance to pull away for a second, glancing at the cum spread between the two of you.
He covers his face with his hand, blushing profusely. “I'm sorry. Don't know what happened. J-Just felt…really good,” He warbles, not daring to look at you, but feeling himself begin to grow hard again.
You giggle at him, planting a soft kiss to his lips. “S’alright. So cute, Yoichi. Wanna take a break then?”
His eyes are back onto you in an instant, wide and panicking. “N-No! You can't stop, please keep going!” He begs, lifting his hips to grind his cock on your stomach in a plea.
You know it's the heat talking, so you don't dare to tease him, afraid of pissing him off. So you abide by your omegas command.
“Fuckkkk,” He breathes, eyes rolling back when you start to pick up the pace. You grip at the back of his head, pulling him into a kiss, and thrusting forward. His legs wrap around your waist, and he wraps his arms around you, pulling you impossibly closer. Your thrusts are hard, short, and make a lewd slapping noise from the skin to skin contact.
Isagi pulls away from the kiss, eyes cloudy, and mouth slightly swollen from the attention. “Alpha. Alpha. Alpha. Alpha,” He chants, mewling at every thrust, while slick drips down his thigh..
You kiss his cheek, humming to him in question. “Right here. I'm here. Doing so well. Such a pretty omega,” You coo in response, and the effects are immediate. He purrs at your voice, nuzzling into your neck and scenting you with a small fucked out grin.
“Mark me.”
You pause your movements, eyes flashing to his blue ones. He whines at the interruption, grabbing at your hips to pull you in closer. “Right now? It's so early,” You reason, growing dizzy off his warm scent.
It turns sour in an instant. “Y-You dont want me?”
He was being unreasonable, but that was the heat talking. His brain wasn't in the right place, and the second you didn't agree, it hurt. Way more than it should have. Tears prick at his eyes, and he begins to push you away, feeling gross with himself.
You don't let him go far, releasing a calming scent, and crooning to him. “Not what I meant. Relax, omega. It's okay, you're okay. I'll mark you, will that make you feel better?”
He clings onto you immediately, scent light again. “Please please please. Wanna be yours. Your omega. Please bite me!”
You groan, grabbing his hips and forcing him back down onto the length. He gasps, trembling, but now baring his neck to you.
“You're going to be the death of me, Yoichi,” You sigh, not liking how much control he has over you. Between the scent and his lewd words, which would never come out of his mouth if he wasn't in heat, it was hard to stay present in the moment.
“Please please please,” he cries, grabbing your hair  and forcing you toward his very own neck. You glance at him one last time, looking at his glassy eyes, and flushed cheeks. He nods at you, a whine slipping past his lips.
You take one last deep breath, inhaling your lovers intoxicating scent and bury your teeth into his neck. He yelps, gripping onto your hair as tears drip down his cheeks. But his back arches, and hes cumming again from the action. His head spins as he feels your tongue lick at the wound, crooning out apologies for the pain.
Your thrusts have slowed down slightly, but they are deeper, harder. After cumming two times Isagi feels himself grow tired, weaker, but every cell in his body is screaming at him to go again and again. Till he passes out, if he must.
“You alright? My omega…All mine,” You whisper, brushing away his sweaty bangs. He feels light headed, absolutely amazed at the feeling of being claimed after all this time and your words, but frustrated from your bare neck. It's not fair.
A possessive nature takes over him, and he lets out a small growl. You raise your eyebrows at him, confused by the sudden aggression. He was always pretty temperamental, but you granted his wish, and were fucking him, what more could he need?
A pair of canines dig into your neck before you could even process his movements. It makes you wince, hissing out and shivering as you feel his tongue lick over the wound. “N-No warning?” You half complain, not minding the feeling of being marked by him.
He doesnt seem to be listening, heat clouding all coherent thoughts. “My alpha. Mhmmm. Mine, mine, mine.”
“Possessive little thing. S-Supposed to be my line,” You laugh at him lightly, and he pulls away for the first time tonight, maneuvering you until he is sitting on your lap, and beginning to raise himself up and down. Two hands fall on your stomach to help steady himself as he begins to grind on the length, head falling backward as he pants at the ceiling.
His movements are frantic, desperate even, as if he was afraid he would never get a chance to cum again. His own cum on his stomach is beginning to dry up, but he doesn't seem to mind. His cock flops back and forth at his movements, and sweat drips down his neck. His whole body seems to be a pinkish shade, covered in sweat. It makes you slightly worried, but knowing him, if you force him to stop so that you can check on him, he may try to kill you.
He cums again without much warning, his fingers curling up and eyes rolling backward. The stream is weaker, dripping pathetically down his cock. His whole body trembles and he collapses forward onto you, pawing at you to hold him again.
You grab water from the nightstand and basically force it down his throat, the excess dripping down his chin and onto your chest. He gulps it down without much complaint, staring at you with lidded eyes the entirety of it. “Lets take a break,” You mumble, caressing his cheek and wiping away the water.
He purrs into your touch, and realigns himself up again, a drunken smile on his face. “Not a chance, alpha,” Isagi says, sinking onto the length to try to chase his fourth orgasm that night.
The two of you get little sleep, and you awoke to him grinding on your leg, and biting at your ear, begging you to make him feel good again, full again. But even in your exhausted state, you didn't mind too much, because how could you say no to your precious omega?

Hii again
So after thinking it over, I'd like to humbly request Peter Parker with a reader who casually mentions one time (maybe even before they're dating) that her love language it physical affection
After that, Peter makes sure to always touch her, hold her hand, kiss her, etc
Thank you so much!!
-🔮
Hi my love, sorry it took me a bit to get to this! Thanks for requesting, hope you enjoy it :D
Peter Parker x fem!reader ♡ 799 words
“Hi pretty girl,” Peter calls as he comes in the door. “How was your day?”
You grin, going to meet him in the living room, where Peter sweeps you into his arms for a kiss. You laugh against his lips. “It was good. How about yours?”
He holds you to his front with one arm, chucking his backpack into the corner with the other before dragging the both of you down onto the couch. “Awful,” he laments, bespeckling your neck and shoulder with kisses. “So long without you. I was cold.”
“My poor boy,” you coo sympathetically, rolling over so you’re facing him and combing your fingers through his hair. “Get any bad guys?”
“Tons of bike thieves. Nothing interesting.”
“Hey, bike theft is a serious crime,” you argue. “If I were a college student or a delivery person, I would be very glad you were on the streets today.”
Peter’s forefinger traces a path from your temple to your chin. “But you’re you, so you missed me, right?”
“I did.” It’s no big admittance. You make it obvious enough. “I always miss you.”
He laughs, tilting your chin upwards and pecking you on the lips. “You miss hugs and kisses, not me.” His free hand begins roving your back as though to drive the point home.
“I miss you, and the hugs and kisses,” you counter. “I would still miss you without them, though.”
Peter raises his eyebrows, hands stilling as though to call your bluff. It takes some serious effort not to pout. “Oh yeah?” His voice is lilting, eyelashes pinching at the corners. “You think you could still love me if we never touched?”
“Of course I could,” you laugh.
“You really think so?”
“Easily.”
Peter whistles. “Bold words for someone whose love language is physical touch.”
You blink, going from teasing to confused in the space of a second. “How’d you know that?”
“Uh, you told me,” he says, grinning.
“What? When?”
“I dunno…like, a couple weeks after we started hanging out? Before we were dating. We were talking about personality tests, comparing results and whatever, and you said your top love language, by far, was physical touch.”
“Oh.” You don’t remember that at all. “Is it yours, too?”
Peter’s answering grin is borderline sheepish. “It’s a close second. My first is acts of service.”
“Huh.” Of course it is. It’s almost funny, that you’d ever thought Peter’s love language could be anything else. So why had he been the one touching you all this time? You don’t hold back with the physical affection either, but you’ve never been the first one to reach for Peter’s hand, or open your arms for a hug, or move in for a kiss. Peter’s always there, ready for you to give him the signal. Ever since your first date, his hands have been on you constantly, keeping you close. Even before that, when his touches were more chaste, they were still there. He’d link arms with you in crowds or squeeze your shoulder when you were nervous or offer you a hug on a bad day.
“Hey, don’t go all shy on me.” Peter pinches at your side. “What’s going on in that pretty head?”
You realize you have started blushing, thinking of how he’s been accommodating you all this time. “Nothing, just…is that why you’re always so touchy? Because of me?”
Peter runs his hand up and down your side, from your hip to your underarm and back again in a pensive rhythm. “I mean, if you’re asking if I want to touch you, I do. I guess what goes through my head, basically, is I love you and want you to know it, so I just do the thing that I know will register with you.” He shrugs. “And I don’t mind it either, so that’s a bonus.”
There’s a little smile playing at his lips, but it does nothing to undercut the sincerity in his eyes. Your heart grows heavy with fondness. “Peter, that’s so thoughtful of you.” You take his face in your hand, stroking at his cheek. “God, I don’t deserve you, do I? Give me some acts of service to do for you. Any holes in your suit need mending?”
Peter smiles at you, pressing his lips to your forehead. “Thanks, baby, but I’ve got it. Just be here when I get home, and that’s enough for me.”
You start to protest, but he kisses you, palming the side of your face to angle you closer. He tastes like the fruity gum he sometimes chews, and your lips part automatically for him, but you won’t be diverted from your cause.
Starting tomorrow, there’s going to be a cup of coffee waiting when he wakes up and a packed lunch for his patrol.

I hope everyone is enjoying the story. I do appreciate all the feedback! Here is Chapter 8. I feel like this one is going to create more questions than answers. Next chapter in a few days.
This chapter and the next one will touch on some darker subjects so I highlighted the specific trigger warning in red. In the story it’s not really detailed or any thing but I still wanted to make it known just in case.
Yoongi X Female Reader. CEO/Arranged Marriage AU
Summary: You were selected to marry the wayward CEO/Billionaire/Heir, Min Yoongi. You went into it with an open mind and heart determined to try and make it work. Yoongi on the other hand had no intention of ever letting you in let alone allowing himself to fall in love with you. Slowly you start to associate the smell of cinnamon and vanilla with the feelings of hurt and sorrow.
Word count: 3,608
Warnings: (May get updated as chapters progress): Arranged marriage, cheating/infidelity, hints of smut (Probably won’t get very explicit but we’ll see how it goes), Sexual Assault, Brief mentions of death, Reader grew up an orphan, General Angst, Swearing
You thought about going back in to speak with Yoongi but after what he did and what you said you decided it would be best to have some space for a while. After calming yourself down enough that you could finally breathe you headed over to Jimins. You sat on his couch clutching the photo album to your chest still sniffling every so often.
“Ahh I see he still gave you the gift.”, he said placing a bottle of water down in front of you.
“You knew about this?”, you asked wide eyed.
He took a seat next to you and began rubbing your back. “Yeah he came to me one day and asked if I had a way to contact anyone in your family. He’s been working on it for a couple months. When he finally got the book he was so excited. Seriously it was weird to see him like that. He was also so nervous to give it to you. He kept asking if I thought you’d like it or if you’d be mad or think it was weird that he did this. I don’t think he’s ever done something like this for anyone before.”
“Jimin he lied to me. He promised me he was changing and that he didn’t sleep with anyone and he slept with some woman named Suri last week.”, you said feeling the tears start up again.
“Did you hear his side of the story?”
“Seriously Jimin? He doesn’t exactly have the best history. I don’t have to hear his side of the story to know it happened.”
“Listen I’m not defending him and I can’t guarantee he didn’t do anything with her but I spend a lot of time with him and I’ve seen a big change in his ways. The way he thinks, the way he talks, the way he acts. I mean I caught the man watching a YouTube video on how to make homemade chocolate chip muffins. I just don’t think that he would do that to you any mo-.”
Before he could finish you stormed off to the spare room. The last thing you needed or wanted right now was for your best friend to try defending the man that intentionally hurt you.
The next morning you did apologize to Jimin for storming away like that. He was letting you live with him after all and you know he’s stuck in the middle between his two best friends so it puts him in a bad spot. Thankfully he was really understanding and didn’t take it to heart.
The weekend passed and Yoongi hadn’t tried to contact you once. Jimin took a couple days off from work the following week claiming to be sick but you figured Yoongi knew exactly why he did that. When Jimin did finally go to work and came home you asked if Yoongi had said anything.
“No he didn’t say anything at all. He’s acting completely normal.”, he said shaking his head.
“So he really didn’t mention anything about me or us or what happened?”
“He just asked if you were staying with me and I said yes. That was it.”
You could feel the tears start to well up again.
“Jimin, if he really did change and didn’t sleep with that woman and he loved me like he said he did, don’t you think he’d be fighting for me right now or doing anything to show me he didn’t do it?”
“Y/N, I think hes already accepted that he lost you and at this point he is just trying to get by. He’s never been the kind of person to chase after someone.” Jimin walked over and wrapped his arms around you.
You sniffled, “Jimin, the worst part of all is that I really started to believed him. I really thought he loved me and I loved him too.”
“I’m sorry Y/N. I know you don’t want to hear this but maybe you could try reaching out to him because I doubt he’ll ever come crawling back to you. But you guys do have to discuss this some time. You can’t just pretend nothing happened between the two of you.”
“I know. I’ll think about it. Thank you Jimin.”
Later that evening he knocked on your door carrying in a bowl of ramen. After you took a few bites he started to speak.
“So I hate to do this to you Y/N but I’ve just been informed that I have to go out of the country for a while. Maybe a couple weeks. Maybe a little longer. Depends on how it goes. I’m really sorry that I have to leave you like this.”
You shook your head, “No it’s okay. I understand. You have a job to do. I’m a big girl and I can take care of myself.”
“You are welcome to stay here as long as you need and I always have my phone on me.”
“Thanks. I appreciate it.”
He gave you another hug before leaving you to finish off the rest of your dinner alone.
Jimin left the following morning and with him being gone now you were left to continue trying to heal alone. You saw the photo album sitting on the dresser and realized you never properly thanked Yoongi for the book. Even though things ended badly he could’ve kept the book and never told you he had it and threw it into a fire or something instead but he had the decency to give it to you. Maybe a tiny part of you also hoped it would force him to say something to you and the two of you could talk.
Throwing on some clothes you called for a car and traveled over to his office building. The receptionist greeted you with a smile, “Hello Mrs. Min. It’s been a while.”
“Yes it truly has. I hope you’re doing well.”She nodded and reached for the intercom, “Mr. Min you have a visitor.”A few moments later there was a beep, “Who is it Areum?”
You gave her a look that you hoped translated to please lie and don’t tell him it’s me or he’ll never let me in. Thankfully it seems she got the message as she reached for the intercom again, “One of your partners.” Not completely a lie on her part.
“Send them in.”
You nodded a thanks and walked down the hall to the large oak double doors. The room was surprisingly warm and inviting. Yoongi was sitting behind his desk reading over some paper work when you cleared your throat. He looked up at you before returning back to the papers.
“What do you want Y/N?”
Suddenly you felt nervous and you were starting to regret even going there.
“Umm I just wanted to come and thank you in person for the photo album. I do really appreciate it. No one has ever done anything like that for me before.”
“You’re welcome. Anything else?” He didn’t even look at you.
You got a sudden rush of confidence and decided to just go for it since it was clear he wasn’t going to bring it up.
“I just thought maybe we could talk about everything that happened?”
Yoongi scoffed, “So now you want to talk about things? Now you want to hear what I have to say?”
“Yoongi you have to understand and see it from my perspective. I was furious and hurt. At the time I didn’t think there would be any possible explanation that you could give me but I’ve had some time to think and I would like to hear your side of the story and then decide. Maybe we could figure out how to move forward together.”
He stood up and walked over to stand in front of you, so close you could smell his cologne. The familiar scent of cinnamon and vanilla making your stomach churn.
“I did understand Y/N. I knew it looked bad and how much that message hurt you. My heart broke just at the thought of you having to see that. That’s why I begged and pleaded with you to stay and give me a chance to explain.”
“I’m sorry Yoongi. I was hurt and scared and angry, but I want us to discuss this now.”
“Why does is matter any more Y/N? You said your peace the other day. If you’re always going to just assume the worst of me no matter what I do then what’s the point? Why should I even try to be better? You said it yourself, I’m unlovable. I’m not going to force you to into the miserable life that I’ve created for myself. We’ll go to public events together and pretend to be a happy loving husband and wife and then we’ll go our separate ways until we’re forced to meet again. Maybe you’ll meet someone who will love you like you deserve behind closed doors instead of just for show.”
Before you could speak he reached for the intercom, “Areum please come see Y/N out.”
A few seconds later she opened up the door smiling and gesturing for you to exit. Yoongi leaned up against the front of his desk with his arms crossed. The unreadable expression on his face made you want to cry.
“Oh Y/N before I forget.”
You spun around so fast you were dizzy.
“There’s a charity event happening next Saturday. We’re expected to attend together. A car will pick you up.”
He turned and walked back to his chair taking a seat without sparing you another look.
You quietly followed his secretary feeling the familiar burning sensation in your eyes as tears began to form.
Areum gave you a small smile before again gesturing towards the elevator doors.
“Can I get you a coffee or a bottle of water for the road Mrs. Min?”
Shaking your head you gave a small smile and headed towards the elevator. Once inside with the metal doors blocking you from view you finally let go of the tears you’d been holding in. You’ve never had someone in your life that could make you feel the way he did. One day you hate his existence and the next you’re pinning for him in ways you never thought you would.
You and Yoongi didn’t speak the rest of the week other than the one text you got telling you the details of the event.
When Saturday came around you couldn’t have been less excited if you tried. The thought of being around Yoongi while he ignored you made you want to cry so you weren’t sure how you were going to get through the night with him.
You walked down through the lobby to the waiting car. The driver greeted you before opening the door and helping you in. You stumbled a little when you saw Yoongi sitting in the seat next to you. You fully expected him to arrive separately but there he was.
The ride to the event was silent. Several times you attempted to bring yourself to speak but the words would never come out. The car finally pulled up to the Seoul Museum of Art where the event was being held and you were relieved to be able to get out of the suffocating car.
Once outside the vehicle the familiar feeling of dread hit when you saw all the cameras and droves of people. You jumped a little when Yoongi placed a hand on your lower back. He didn’t say anything but started guiding you up the stairs to enter the building. It was hard to decipher if he was doing this out of genuine concern for you knowing how uneasy the attention made you feel or just as a show for the photographers which made you want to cry even more. Once inside you expected him to run off but he stayed by your side although not speaking to you except to ask if you’d like a drink.
His father came up to you giving you a kiss on the cheek, “I just have to borrow your husband for a little bit. Don’t worry. I’ll return him in one piece.” You smiled and watched as the two walked off and you were left standing alone. You really wished Jimin was there with you but unfortunately he was still away on business so you stood off to the side trying to go unnoticed.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw a man eyeing you. You didn’t recognize him at all and the way he looked at you made you uncomfortable. You were scanning the room hoping to get a sighting of Yoongi or anyone that you knew when you heard a familiar voice.
“Hi Y/N, how have you been?”
“Oh my god, hi Namjoon! Why am I not surprised to see you here?”
“Well this is one of my favorite events of the year.”
You laughed, “Fair enough. How’s the new job going?”
“It’s not bad. I like the work. Just wish I didn’t have to move so far out of the city. You still taking lessons?”
“Yeah here and there. My new teacher isn’t as good though.”
He chuckled, “Well I was one of the best if I do say so myself.”
Playfully you rolled your eyes, “Always so humble Namjoon.”
“Come on Y/N. Let’s go get a drink.”
Noticing the strange man still staring at you from across the room you quickly agreed to follow Namjoon.
A bell rang through the venue signaling the auction was about to begin. Various pieces of art were set to be auctioned off with the proceeds being split between the museum and the local children’s hospital. Even though you wished to stay with Namjoon you knew it would be best for show to sit with your husband. Luckily you were able to easily find him sitting next to his parents. When you walked over you gave a small smile and he removed his suit coat from the seat he was saving for you. A small gesture that made your heart swell.
You happened to look a few rows behind you and you gasped. The same man from earlier was sitting right there staring at you once again. You told yourself it was all a coincidence but something still felt off. Yoongi gave you a questioning look but you ignored it and sat down instead, secretly happy to have him by your side.
The auction was interesting to say the least. You’d never been to one before and you’d be okay if you never went again. You watched as rich people spent a disgusting amount of money on various works of art just because they could. At least it was going to a good cause you thought.
“If there’s anything you want just go ahead and bid. I’m sure Yoongi here won’t mind.”, your mother in law said leaning over her son to get your attention.
“I’ll keep an eye out.”, you said politely knowing that Yoongi would definitely mind.
Through the night nothing really caught your eye anyways. There were a few beautiful pieces here and there but nothing you’d be willing spend that kind of money on. Then the auctioneer announced a one of a kind piece by a young up and coming artist named Hyunjin. You’d seen his work before as most of it included various flowers and this was no exception. A gorgeous water color painting of a large bouquet of blue hydrangeas with just a touch of sparkle when it caught the light just right. Instantly you knew you were going to try and get this one. Before you could even bid though the price shot up to 12 billion KRW. Your mouth dropped open. Even though it was technically Yoongi’s money you couldn’t bring yourself to spend that much on a painting. It did look beautiful though. You hoped that whomever purchased it would treasure it as much as you would.
“Going once, going twice, sold to the gentleman in the fifth row.”, you heard the auctioneer announce.
Feeling movement next to you is when you noticed Yoongi stand and walk down to the front to grab the ticket that he would use to claim the beautiful painting. When he walked back over he handed you the ticket and took his seat next to you without saying a word. You looked down at the ticket and smiled. He had bought the painting for you.
It was amazing how long these events lasted. You felt liked you’d been there for hours and you still had to get through dinner. Yoongi had excused himself and went to sit over at another table where he began talking about numbers and things. You noticed the same man from earlier sitting a few tables over with his eyes still on you as he sipped from a glass of whiskey. Feeling uncomfortable and suffocated you grabbed your clutch deciding you needed some fresh air so you exited through the front door. The cool air felt great. It felt refreshing. You were standing off to the side watching the various people move about when you felt a presence next to you. Peeking over to your right your heart skipped a beat. That same man from earlier was now standing right next to you. “How are you Y/N? I know that you’ve been noticing me all night. Why didn’t you come say hello?”, he asked. His voice nasally making your skin crawl like you just heard nails on a chalk board.
“You’re very beautiful Y/N. Yoongi is a very lucky man.”, he continued. Looking around for an escape you realized that you’d have to walk right past him to get back to the front entrance that you came out of which seemed like a bad choice being that he could easily grab you that way. Instead you decided to try walking around the building because surely there had to be another entrance a long the way. As you made your way around and you got further away from the hustle and bustle of the front entrance, things got quieter. You heard your heels on the cement but you could also hear footsteps behind you. Looking back you confirmed your fears. The walk to the back of the building was significantly longer than you had anticipated and you were really regretting your choice of shoes. You did your best to power walk without breaking an ankle.
Feeling more and more nervous you began reaching into your clutch to find your phone. You were going to call Yoongi or Namjoon or even your in-laws. Anyone to help. The man saw that as a distraction on your part and an excuse to quicken his step running up next to you just before you could turn the corner. He grabbed your arm quickly pinning you up against the cold brick of the building.
He was much larger than you. His cologne was strong and not pleasant, kind of like a wet dog ran threw a perfume factory. He saw you still scrolling through your phone so he grabbed it tossing the device on the ground. “Come on Y/N, we’re not going to do that now.”
“Seriously who are you and how do you know so much about me?”, you asked.
“That’s not important right this moment. What is important is that you let me get what I want without a fight?”
You scoffed, “Someone will come looking for me. They probably already are.”
The man laughed, “You mean Yoongi? Do you really think he cares about you? If he did then he wouldn’t have been cheating on you most of your marriage. He wouldn’t have been hooking up with Suri a week before your anniversary and lying to you about it. He’s probably got one of the waitresses bent over in a bathroom stall right now as we speak. He doesn’t care about you Y/N. Never has and never will.”
You could feel tears begin to form. The man placed his hands on your hips leaning in like he was going for a kiss. Quickly you turned your face away from him. He pulled you a little closer.
“Maybe that Namjoon might care about you from what I’ve heard but I’m sure he knows better than to cross that boundary.”
You continue to try and wiggle free but he had a hard grip on you.
“Please just stop. Let me go.”
“I don’t think so sweetheart. I’ve wanted this for a long time and the fact that you are Yoongi’s is going to make this that much sweeter.”
The man kissed your cheek then your neck. You tried to push him away but he had moved his hands to grip your wrists.
You had your eyes screwed shut so you didn’t even see or feel anyone else come up to the two of you but you heard a loud deep voice speak which startled you,
“Get the fuck away from her.”
“Yeah or what?”
No words were spoken after that but you flinched when the man suddenly fell to the ground after taking a hard punch to the side of his face. You looked down at the unconscious man before turning your attention over to the person that threw the punch.
You stared at him your mouth open in shock, “What are you doing here?”

hii! its tots fine if no but could you maybe do some fluff with basketball player luke and like him tryinh to teach you how to play?🙈
i read basketball & fluff and my one tree hill obsessed heart started singing. YES, ABSOLUTELY I CAN DO THIS <3333 have to preface this by saying that i know like nothing about basketball, though. i am a strictly baseball-hockey girl myself sdjfhskdjfh. my knowledge is limited but i will do my best, hehe. she's short and sweet. enjoy, my lovely! 𓆩♡𓆪
Tumblr media
"you might be the worst player i have ever seen, and i once watched grover try to play." your boyfriend, luke castellan, chuckled unhelpfully from behind you.
you and luke had been going out for a couple of months now and honestly? you'd never been happier. he'd made you feel so welcome your first week of camp and every day since, he'd made you feel safe and cared for.
you were basically luke's dream girl. you were funny, caring, charming, and you had very quickly become his safe space. your one big flaw, however, was that you couldn't play basketball for shit.
the two of you had been playing horse on the camp court and you were failing... miserably. luke already had H-O-R-S and you... had no letters. yeah, you were that bad.
"in the words of annabeth: statistically speaking, you should have at least gotten one by now." he grinned, his smile only growing wider when you turned around to glare at him.
"oh, fuck off! not all of us are basketball superstars!" you huffed, but you couldn't help but laugh along with him. this was part of why you cared about him so much, he could always make you laugh despite yourself.
"if this is the best you can do, i don't think we can see each other anymore. makes me look bad." he laughed, quickly getting up from the bench he was on to avoid getting hit with the ball you tossed at him.
"i'm kidding, i'm kidding! c'mere." he laughed, beckoning you toward him with that easy smile you loved. "i can't do it, basketball is not one of my many skills! quit on me, castellan, i'll only slow you down." you sighed dramatically.
"alright, drama queen. you can, just trust me." luke stated, rolling his eyes at your dramatics. "square your shoulders, to the basket." he instructed, watching as you begrudgingly did as told, lips formed in a little pout.
"now, you gotta bring the ball up right past your nose like this, okay?" he instructed, demonstrating exactly what to do with his own arms, ball in hand as you went through the motion with him.
"bend your knees a little." he corrected, holding the ball out for you to grab before stepping behind you. "relax your hips..." he murmured, gently placing his hands on you and leaning down to your ear to make sure you could still hear him... and also to be a romantic sap.
"and... just shoot." he stated, eyes watching you while you eyed the hoop suspiciously. "that's it? just shoot?" you asked, voice a little breathy as you turned your head a bit to look at him. "just shoot." he repeated with a nod.
"well, here goes nothing." you sighed, bending your knees a little more before bending a little and letting the ball fly out of your hands and... right into the net.
"holy shit" you breathed, grin breaking out onto your face as you turned to look at your smiling, slightly cocky boyfriend. "told you so." he smirked, grunting a bit on impact as you flung your arms around him with a laugh.
"okay, maybe you can be right sometimes." you relented, sighing dramatically like it was the hardest thing you'd ever have to admit. "that's very big of you, babe." he chuckled, eyes shining with adoration as he looked at you.
"now, do it a few more times and maybe you'll catch up to me." luke hummed, jogging leisurely to go pick up the ball from it's spot by the bench.
"nuh uh, castellan. i'm going out on the high of making that one shot, i'm retired, 'm too good to keep going." you stated, shaking your head and turning on your heel to leave.
"quitter!" he called after you, grinning as you simply flipped him off and kept walking. "see you before dinner?"
"duh, you owe me a victory kiss."

◈ He gives you a look and you can’t resist
◈ “Okay fine! I guess a couple of hours wouldn’t hurt…” you got up off the chair and head in his direction
◈ “Oh baby who’s says we’re stopping?” He says giving your ass a light slap
Alejandro
◈ He came home and was planning on going out with Rudy and a few others
◈ But when he saw you in the same place as you were this morning he shook his head in disappointment
◈ He cancelled all of his plans with the guys and went to go run a bath
◈ You didn’t even notice he came back out without any clothes on
◈ He came up behind you and wrapped his arms around you while giving you a kiss to the cheek
◈ “Come with me mi amor~ I have something to show you”
◈ You followed him to the bathroom and there was a bathtub with your favourite fragrance wafting from it and candles were lit
◈ He helped you undress and you both got into the bath - letting all of the water wash away your stress and anxiety
König
◈ He woke to you not beside him and he panicked at first
◈ When he went to go look for you he was confused when he sees you in the same clothes as yesterday
◈ You were also asleep with your head in a book
◈ When he realised you didn’t come to bed last night he felt bad
◈ He knew you’ve been stressed recently but you never voiced your concerns
◈ He walked over to the speaker in the corner of the room and played your guy’s favourite song
◈ It woke you up straight away and you looked around to see König looking at you with a sad smile
◈ You stood from the chair and walked over to him, he twirled you around and brought you into an embrace
◈ “Cmon darling, dance with me”
◈ You both laugh and you dance for a very long time until you’re too tired to even move anymore

have a little father's day blurb about complicated father-son relationships. 1k. cross posted to ao3
steve's relationship with his parents has been complicated at best his entire life but it's only after he and eddie have an apartment together in chicago that his perception of of the father-son relationship shifts.
for the past decade or so, he's watched eddie's relationship with wayne and ached a little bit. because that's the kind of father-son relationship he wishes he could have had with his dad.
it wasn't always great, especially after his dad realized steve could mostly fend for himself and started leaving him alone more and more often for longer stretches of time. but it wasn't all bad either. his dad used to take him to ball games and he taught him how to ride a bike without the training wheels. he taught him how to change the oil in his beamer and how to bullshit his way through a book report.
mostly, though, he taught steve how to be lonely.
over the past couple of years, steve has slowly been trying to repair that stilted relationship with his old man. the guy isn't going to be around forever, and if nothing else he owes it to steve to leave him with some good memories after he's gone.
father's day has always been a bit of a weird day for steve, because his dad has always kept his feelings close to the vest, so steve's never had any idea how to navigate the day around him.
he thinks about the year he was thirteen; they'd gone to a cubs game together at wrigley and his dad let him have a cup of beer with his hotdog. he thinks of the year he was sixteen, before hawkins turned itself upside down; his dad was out of town at the condo in indy for some work conference the following week and he'd sighed when steve called him to wish him well, thinking there'd been something wrong at home.
this year is going to be different, steve tells himself.
he and eddie have invited both his dad and wayne to their apartment in chicago for dinner, and his dad is going to be here. steve's already bought a card for his dad, and his mom sent him her lasagna recipe, and he splurged for a good bottle of red wine.
hopefully this year will begin to repair the distance between steve and his dad.
steve finds himself hovering over the coffee maker at the kitchen counter, staring off into space while it brews, and eddie startles him a little when he comes up behind him to wrap an arm around his waist and kiss his cheek.
'you good?'
"yeah. little nervous.'
'it'll be fine. i made him laugh at christmas last year. remember?'
steve does remember. it was a good christmas.
it took steve's parents some time to accept steve and eddie as steve and eddie, but it's been so long now that it's not something that the harringtons can just ignore. if they want to be a part of their son's life, they need to get used to eddie. and this past christmas felt like a win - the harringtons had gifted them concert tickets and a fancy toaster oven for their apartment.
that night, after the sunday chores have been done and the laundry has been folded and put away, richard and wayne show up within moments of each other. steve and eddie's beagle mix, ozzy, greets them at the door, his tail thumping against the floor as he resists jumping up to beg their visitors for pets.
dinner goes really well; richard doesn't say anything offensive about their little apartment and eddie doesn't goad him into a discussion about politics. together, the four of them reminisce about steve and eddie's childhoods around the table, their plates overflowing with noodles and red sauce. wayne tells them stories about eddie that steve's never heard before, and richard tells stories that steve had completely forgotten about.
it's giving steve hope, this father's day dinner with his dad and his boyfriend and his boyfriend's uncle-dad.
until steve and richard are at the sink washing up the dinner dishes together, and everything crashes down around them.
'you're still young,' richard says. 'there's still time.'
'for what?'
'for you to come to your senses.'
'dad...'
'no, i mean it. there's always a job waiting for you at my firm. plenty of pretty girls in administrative roles there, too.'
'dad...' steve says again.
'i'm just saying, steven. it's time to stop playing house like this and settle down.'
'i am settled. we have a good life here. i love my job at the school. i love my life. i love eddie.'
'don't you want kids of your own? he can't give you that.'
steve scoffs.
'why would i want kids of my own? i didn't exactly have the best parental role models growing up. i'd fuck a kid up, just like you and mom fucked me up. besides, i have my students. that's plenty for me.'
'we gave you everything, steven.'
'everything except your presence. i needed you guys, especially as a teenager. and you guys just... didn't give a shit. why would i want to keep that cycle going?'
the silence in the kitchen is so loud.
'it's late. you should get going. eddie's got work in the morning.'
richard sighs.
'the offer stands. the firm is always there when you're ready.'
'just go. happy father's day.'
it comes out bitter. snappy. steve doesn't apologize.
richard goes. steve stays in the kitchen and tries not to think about it. he pops open a second bottle of wine - cheap, sweet, white, the kind of wine his father would mock him for drinking if he gave him half a chance.
he feels stupid for thinking his father could change, for thinking it could ever be different. people his dad's age are so stuck in their ways that there's no getting through to them. it's not easy but it's reality.
after wayne leaves, eddie comes into the kitchen to join steve and pour himself a glass of that cheap riesling steve's been working his way through. he doesn't say anything because he doesn't have to. ozzy curls up at steve's feet and the three of them sit together in a comfortable silence. eddie holds steve's hand atop the table.
at least steve isn't lonely anymore.

When you have time I had this concept/fic idea.
Maybe y/n and Jack go out to eat with the girls and the waitress leaves her phone number with a heart on the ticket and y/n loses her shit. Tells the girls and Jack she’ll be right back and goes in the distance to cuss the waitress out. Jack is just admiring her with love hahaha and the girls are confused and then they get in the car and Jack is just all smug about it. 🤭
"I'm Such a Big Fan"
"Mama! I can't find my silver sandals!" Aaliyah came running into your bedroom on the verge of tears, just as you were finishing up your makeup. "It's okay, we can find some other shoes for you to wear, baby." You knew she had a hundred pairs of shoes in her closet, but your suggestion did nothing to calm her. "I want to wear them for my date with Daddy! He bought them for me!"
There was a lot to celebrate in the Harlow household lately, with Jack's new single charting across the world, and you hitting the second semester of your pregnancy, so the family was getting ready to go to your favorite restaurant in Louisville.
The girls talked non-stop about how excited they were to go on a date with Jack, but the night was off to a rough start so far. You were battling morning sickness that ironically lasted all day, and getting both girls dressed was proving to be a most difficult task this evening.
"Hey, what's going on? We're gonna be late for our reservation." Jack walked into the bedroom as he adjusted the clasp on his watch, stumbling back as Aaliyah ran to him, clinging to his leg. "I can't find my shoes, daddy", she spoke through sobs. Jack scooped her up in his arms, wiping the tears from her cheek. "Did you look in your room?" She nodded, taking shaky breaths.
Jack gave you a look; you usually knew where everything in the house was, but you could only shrug, as pregnancy brain had wiped your memory clean.
"I found them." Brooklyn walked into the room, Aaliyah's sandals in her hand. "You left them in the bag you took to Nana and Poppa's house."
You let out a sigh, thankful the meltdown was over. "Perfect, thank you, B. Can you help her put them on?" Both girls left the room hand in hand, leaving you and Jack by yourselves.
The look you gave him almost made him call the restaurant to cancel. "We can do this another night, if you want." He knew your pregnancy had been challenging so far, but you'd never complain. "No, the girls are really excited, and I can make it a couple hours." Jack helped you up from your vanity, his hand gently touching your small bump.
"You look beautiful, baby", Jack remarked, pressing a kiss to your temple. You had chosen a long sweater dress because it was quite cold in Kentucky, hoping it would conceal your belly enough that no one at the restaurant would think you were pregnant. You had barely just told your families, and weren't planning on announcing it to the public for another couple weeks. "Thank you, love. You don't look so bad yourself." You ran your hand over the cashmere sweater he was wearing, a cheeky smile on your face.
"Hey! Is that the best you can do?" Jack playfully clutched his chest as if he was hurt. "Don't push it. Let's see how this date goes." You wagged a finger at him as you left the bedroom.
****
"Should I have brought security?" Jack asked at a whisper, leaning into you after you had been sat at your table. "No, I think we're okay, baby." You rubbed his back, trying to reassure him, but you could tell he was nervous.
The restaurant was pretty crowded, so you were glad that Jack had reserved the back room so you could have some privacy. People in Louisville usually gave Jack space in public, especially when he was with his family, but every once in a while there would be an especially bold fan who would try anything to get a photo or autograph, and that had Jack permanently on edge whenever he left the house.
"Daddy! I wanna get the chicken tenders!" Aaliyah was blissfully unaware of her father's fame, and rightfully so, her only concern was whether the restaurant had chicken tenders and mac and cheese. "You don't wanna try something else?", Jack asked as he scanned the menu, "they have really good pasta here to, Liyah." She shook her head, so confident in her decision.
"Nope", she responded as she tucked her feet underneath her bottom. "How about this? I'll get the pasta, and you can try some of mine." Aaliyah was a very picky eater, but if Jack was willing to try it, she was usually more open to trying new things, and you were using that to your advantage to try to expand her pallet.
"Ok, I'll try a little bit", she agreed, narrowing her eyes and pinching her fingers together to show just how little she wanted to eat. "That's my girl." Jack copied her, dramatically pinching his fingers together with a smile, which made her giggle.
Everyone was set on their order when the waitress approached your table. "Good evening, I'm Rachel, I'll be your server tonight. Are you ready to order?" You looked up and immediately noticed that her eyes were fixed on Jack, who was still looking at the menu. Your immediately thought was that she was starstruck and trying to remain professional, but as she took your orders, she was always looking back at Jack, which made you uneasy.
Menus in hand, she continued to linger at the table and everyone seemed to notice except your husband. You squeezed Jack's thigh, a little harder than you intended, his head shooting up to look at you. "Ow, what's wrong?" You gave him a small smile, nodding in the server's direction. "Oh, I think that's it." Jack gave her a smile, and you would have thought she could pass out right there.
"I just wanted to say I'm such a big fan of your music." You could tell she was nervous, and a part of you felt for her. "I've listened to all of your albums." Jack nodded, appreciative to meet a fan. "Thanks, that means a lot." The waitress hurried back to the kitchen, and as soon as she was out of earshot, you couldn't help but laugh.
"What?" Jack was genuinely clueless as he looked at everyone. He'd had so many interactions like that over the course of his career, he was immune to the fawning.
"Dad, that girl has a crush on you." Brooklyn thought it was hilarious, and Aaliyah clapped a dramatic hand over her mouth. "What? No she doesn't. She was just being nice." Jack felt the heat start to creep up on his neck out of embarrassment. He hated when women were so brazenly flirtatious with him in front of you. "Mama, are you mad?" Aaliyah asked. She barely knew what flirting was, but she had enough interactions with fans to know when you weren't happy.
"No, baby, I'm not mad. Like Daddy said, she was just being nice." You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to conceal just how irritated you were.
Over the course of dinner, it was becoming more and more obvious just how much your waitress was infatuated with Jack. She checked in way more often than any server normally would, and every time she did, it was to give Jack a compliment or strike up a conversation about his career. He never validated any of her advances, but she was definitely crossing a line, flirting with him in front of his wife and children, and you were starting to get pissed off.
After a while, Jack finally caught on, but he didn't want to make a big deal out of it, so when he noticed your mood turn sour, he tried to diffuse the situation. "Its fine, baby", he whispered, kissing the sensitive spot behind your ear, "I love you." Tears started to sting your eyes, and while you knew it was just your pregnancy hormones making you overreact, you just wanted to get out of the restaurant. "I love you too." You avoided eye contact so he wouldn't see you start to tear up.
Jack called for the check, and after what felt like forever, the server returned with the receipt. "Thank you so much, and again, it was so good to meet you." She winked at Jack, and everyone at the table froze out of fear. Brooklyn's eyes grew wide as she looked at you, waiting to see how you would respond, but you just smiled. You were over the night, and just wanted to go home. "Let's go." You stood and caught something out of the corner your eye, Jack quickly trying to hide the paper in his wallet, but you snatched it before he could tuck it away. The waitress had scribbled her number on the receipt with a heart and a note to "call her".
"Babe, just let it go." Jack tried to catch your gaze, but you were already burning a whole through the waitress' back across the room. "I'll be right back." He didn't even try to stop you, chuckling to himself as he stood and helped the girls put on their coats. "Daddy? Is Mama crying?", Aaliyah asked as Jack picked her up. "No, but someone will be soon. Let's go to the car and wait for her."
All of the other servers were cowering with fear as you approached your waitress, but she just had a smug look on her face. "I just wanted to commend you for your service tonight. Do you leave your number for all of your customers?" You knew you could destroy her easily, but you were looking for an outlet for your frustrations. "I'm sorry, I just saw my opportunity and decided to take it."
You let out a humorless breath. "Listen hun, that man has two children with me, a third on the way", you made a point to accentuate your bump, "and he is very happily married. If you fuckin' ever try to flirt with him, give him your number, or even look in his direction again, I will make sure that you never work at another restaurant in this town. Understand?" The smile dropped from her face, and you felt a surge of satisfaction as she nodded. "Good. I know the owner very well. You better pray you have a job tomorrow."
Jack had a cocky smile on his face as you got into the car. "Everything okay?" He got a lot of satisfaction out of seeing you get jealous over him, especially because it was usually the reverse, Jack having to swallow his pride when a number of guys hit on you when you were in public. He leaned over, giving you a quick kiss. "You're so sexy when you get like this, babe." He kept his voice low so the girls couldn't hear him. You rolled your eyes, making him laugh.
"Baby, call Neelam and tell her that news about our pregnancy will be out tomorrow." Jack shot you a look, his face riddled with worry. "What did you do?"
You winced, knowing you'd made a mistake in the heat of the moment. "I may or may not have let it slip when I was cussing our waitress out."

could you do a soft Dom Steve x sub bucky x soft Dom sick reader?
where bucky wakes up all subby and wants his mama. he goes to look for her and cannot find her, he starts to cry but then Steve comes around the corner and tells bucky that mama has the flu and is lying in bed to sleep. Bucky than ask Steve if he can help mama feel better. Steve says yes, they spend the day helping the reader get better.
Hey love!! I’m so sorry it took me a while to get back with you, but it’s finally here! I wrote reader’s illness so it could either be just a bad flu, or a chronic illness since I deal with those and flare ups can be terrible aha. The ending is a little rushed and not my favorite but… I’m too lazy to fix it. Hope you enjoy!!
Soft Dom Steve x Reader x Sub/Little Bucky
Warnings: Bucky is scared of being abandoned, but that doesn’t actually happen. Illness. Other than that, just a whole lot of fluff.
(Part of the Sharing is Caring AU)
Blinking awake, Bucky was met with the comforting space of the shared bedroom. Steve’s sketches were littered on the walls, a couple of your nicknacks spread around. Even his own collection of books, stacked neatly on the shelf in the corner.
He could feel it, already brewing inside. The need to be coddled and cared for. The need to be nothing more than a good boy who pleased his Mama and his Captain. But they weren’t here. The bed was empty, only slightly warm. A whine huffed up from his chest as he rolled over on his back- where were you both? You were supposed to be here, covering your baby boy in kisses and compliments.
Bucky shuffled onto his feet, taking his time collecting comfortable clothes before putting them on. One of Steve’s sweaters you had stolen and been wearing for a week, it smelled like both of you. His softest sweats, the fluffy socks with silly cartoon cats on them. You and he had almost convinced Steve that a cat would be a great addition to the little family you had made together.
All cozied up and surrounded by the scent of his lovers, he stepped out of the bedroom at last. The little apartment area was quiet, which was unusual. If you and Steve were awake first, it usually meant the team had come for breakfast. Meaning lots of noise. So the silence piqued his curiosity, urging him further down the hall. He checked the bathroom, empty. So was the office, and even the little storage closet that you loved so much. (Mostly because it’s where you hide all the good snacks)
You both must be in the kitchen, he thought to himself. He needed his Mama, he needed his Captain, he needed to be a good boy and receive praises from you both. That he was kind and sweet, how proud you were and how much you loved him. Bucky was already thinking of breakfast, he would probably find his Mama and Captain cooking something. Maybe he could help! He was good at mixing things, and stealing the yummy bits when nobody was watching him. He was a renowned fruit thief.
Much to his disappointment though, Bucky found the rest of the house empty. The living room, dining room, kitchen, he walked through them all four times. And the only trace of life he found was a discarded soup can next to the sink. The silence was deafening, but somehow the heartbeat in his ears was louder. It felt like the ground had been pulled from beneath him, falling down a spiral of anxiety.
Were you hurt?
Maybe there was a mission nobody told him about?
Had you two gone out for breakfast without telling him?
Did you leave him?
Was he… alone?
It was as if the walls were caving in, stomach cramping with terror and bile rising in his throat. Bucky hadn’t even realized he was crying until then, but once he did it was like the tears wouldn’t stop. He was gasping for air, vision blurry as he wiped desperately at his eyes. Maybe this was his fault somehow. He was needy and damaged, never a good combination in his own opinion. Wasn’t he doing better though? Clearly not if his Mama and Captain both had left him-
“Bucky?”
He spun around wildly, already reaching out for the voice of his Captain. Bucky was swept up against a firm chest and the cries let loose. Steve was gentle and patient, petting his hair and shushing his tears until the poor man was able to form coherent words again. “Thought…I thought you were gone.”
“Oh, sweetheart.” Steve sighs, pulling back so he could clean the brunette’s face with gentle hands and a soothing voice.
“We would never leave you, and you know that. (Y/N)- Mama is sick, baby. She’s not feeling good today, we were in the guest bedroom so we didn’t disturb you baby boy. M’ so sorry, I should have let you know.”
The guest bedroom, that made sense. He hadn’t even thought to look in there, it was never used for anything. None of you had family to visit, and all your friends also lived within a reasonable distance for daily visits. Bucky looked up at his Captain, eyes still wet with tears, face red and puffy from crying already.
“Mama’s sick? Can I help her be better?” He felt so small, he really just wanted to be useful somehow. Especially if his sweet Mommy wasn’t feeling good. You didn’t get sick often, but when you did it was never pleasant. Bucky had seen it on occasion, the underlying illness in your body flaring up with a vengeance. It left you nauseous, weak, miserable. And he didn’t want his Mama to be miserable.
“Of course baby boy, you want to help make her some tea?” He gives a little nod and is rewarded with his Captain’s charming smile. They take their time making the tea, Steve giving his baby boy extra love for the fright he endured and explaining a little more. You had been throwing up- and Bucky needed his sleep. He had been on too many missions lately. So you insisted on moving to the spare room, hoping he could get some extra rest. Next time he would definitely have to write a note to make sure your sweet boy didn’t worry like this again.
The tea was finished with no spills. Bucky held the mug close to his chest and walked carefully down the hall, his Captain following with a fond chuckle. He was shuffling his cat socks, pausing if the drink shook too much with that cute pout of concentration on his face. Once at the door he stopped, and Steve could see the gears in his boy’s head turning. How was he supposed to open the door? Sure, he could hold the mug with just one hand. But… it was hot, and he was holding it with his sleeves. The mug would slip away before he could open the door, and all his mama’s tea would be on the floor.
His pondering was answered as a large body wrapped around his back. Reaching around the man, Steve turned the knob and gently pushed the door ajar before urging Bucky inside. He knew that seeing your baby boy would immediately help you to feel better.
Bucky peeked through the gap, eyes landing on the mess of sheets and pillows on the bed. There was a small bin at the side, there in case you got sick. Discarded soup and water on the nightstand, curtains pulled tightly together. You hadn’t even noticed him yet, face buried in the sheets and you wrestled with the ache in your bones. His heart pulled together, his poor Mommy. You were clearly miserable.
As quietly and carefully as he could manage while still balancing your tea, Bucky shuffled his way inside. He could hear you groan from your spot on the bed, moving a little faster at the sound until he arrived at your beside.
“Mama…?” There was a shuffle, and you peered out from the sheets. The sight you were greeted with was just…precious. Your sweet Bucky, wrapped up in your favorite sweater to steal from Steve, a mug that smelled nearly diving held carefully in his hands. He was watching you with a nervous smile, presenting the tea for you to drink. “Here you go, made tea so you feel sick no more.”
Heart melting in your chest, you took the mug and gently set it to the side on the nightstand. Bucky was confused, you could see the pout forming as he began to think the worst. But before your baby boy had time to spiral, you lifted the blankets and reached out for him. “Thank you, sweetheart. But right now Mommy just want lovin’ from her best little boy.” The smile that lights his face could heal anything as he slid into the space provided, curling his large body up against your chest. You smoothed back his hair, pressing a kiss to his forehead before fussing with the blankets. Steve stepped up, taking over and tucking the comforter around you both with a fond grin. “How are you feeling?”
“Better, now that I have my baby.”
The blanket shook with a little giggle, you and Steve sharing a small kiss. Sick days were unavoidable sometimes, but they were always easier with both your boys at your side.

Hands of a Knight
(Yandere Childe) (Normalized Yandere AU) Part two to Hydro Knight
credit to the names goes to @busy-dadzawa-fish who I asked if I could use the names they came up with here as placeholder names for the other darlings when writing from different perspectives
Tumblr media
The room Clarus was kept In what could presumably be the late Signora’s bedroom in the Zapolyarny Palace. The Tsaritsa decided to keep the knight around, saying how he made for good company, and as embarrassing as it was to admit she wasn’t bad company either. As of now he sat in an arm chair, book in hand, the door was locked so there was no where else to go, he tried to focus on his book but it was difficult to say the least. His mind kept on drifting off to the day he was brought before the Tsaritsa and the Fatui Harbingers, after Signora’s death. She had his letter he was going to send to you read aloud to all the Harbingers, revealing that you were his student, teaching you how to fight. Clarus truly thought he was done for when he met the eyes of your “fiancé”, Childe. Sure your marriage was arranged by him and your over eager parents (you told him how excited they were that you were to be married to not only a harbinger but your childhood best friend, how romantic was that? You two laughed at this of course) but that didn’t mean Clarus didn’t feel fear when the harbinger smiled at him. Clarus expected to be killed then and there, but instead he was brought to his feet and a sword was out in his hands, space was cleared out of the way as the harbinger knowns as Tartaglia approached him, a smile plastered across his face…
“I want to see how skilled my darling’s master, the Hydro Knight of Mondstadt, is with my own two eyes. I promise I won’t hurt you too bad, after all you probably mean a lot to her.”
Clarus does not think that fight was evenly matched. Sure they both wielded blades that day and both wore hydro visions, but he was just a knight, sure he was one of Mondstadt’s best but he didn’t stand a chance against a harbinger. His back was still sore from when Childe kicked him in the stomach hard enough to send him flying into a nearby pillar. That knocked him out cold, and Clarus didn’t know what Childe classified “too bad” as, dead probably seeing as he woke up with a few broken ribs and a concussion.
It has been a couple of weeks since then, that time was spent every day pretty much the same. He would wake up as the maids came in to change his bandages and clean his wounds, he would get dressed in the clothes that were provided, they weren’t his usual style but then again his usual clothes wouldn’t fit the Tsaritsa’s standards. Then speaking of the Tsaritsa, he would then be escorted to the dining hall where he would have breakfast with her and whom ever else would be there, most of the time these were harbingers or some other Snezhnayan nobility. During their time together the Tsaritsa would bring up how much Rosalyne would talk about him, of course this wasn’t him, it was mostly his past life, Rostam. Clarus and Rostam were similar, yes, but they were not the same, they wore different faces, different families, different appearances, and Clarus didn’t know much about his personality. After breakfast the rest of his day would either be spent by the Tsaritsa’s side, if she wished for the company, or he would be in his room, left to his own devices, the door locked of course.
That leads to where he was now, sitting in an arm chair, reading. His mind was elsewhere, he couldn’t get himself to focus. He set the book down before standing up and walking over to the window, looking for anything unusual. Like always nothing was there but the snowy landscape of Snezhnaya, it felt like nothing like Mondstadt. He missed his home, he missed the other knights, he missed his students, but most of all he missed his friends, he missed you. You were kind to the formal and serious knight, you weren’t bothered by his cold personality. You were able to find the heart of gold underneath the ice, frozen over to protect it. He sighed, trying to keep himself crying, just because there was no one else around doesn’t give an excuse to show his weakness, especially here.
There was a knock at the door which snapped the knight out of his melancholy thoughts. He hummed in response, letting the person know they could come in. There was a turning of a key, followed by the twisting of the door knob. Clarus looked over to see the eleventh harbinger standing there. Clarus raised an eyebrow at the harbinger. “The Tsaritsa told me you were going on a vacation to  Fontaine. Changed your mind?”
“No, I’m leaving later today actually.” Childe answered, resting his side against the door frame. “I wanted to discuss something with you first, Captain Clarus.”
The knight scoffed and tucked his hands in his pockets. “I am no longer a Captain of the Knights of Favonius. Unless they have decided to leave my chair empty which I would be surprised if they did.” Clarus paused on his words, brushing his hair out of his face. Honestly he didn’t know who would take his place, if there was anyone who would want to, he was the recruitment captain. He ran the boot camps, he tested the endurance of potential candidates for the knights, he had to be stern and strong but kind when they needed someone to talk to. He pushed these thoughts down, clearing his throat to keep himself from crying, and turned his attention back to the harbinger. “Anyway, you wanted to talk to me, about what?”
“Your student.”
“One of my future knights, or (Name)?”
“My fiancé.”
“Hm…I didn’t think you had one.” Clarus said with a laugh, but Childe, despite his smile, was not amused. “My apologies, but I do not think she is ready to marry.”
“Her parents said otherwise, they seemed so excited for her to marry me.” Childe replied, still not moving from where he stood.
“Did you think that was because of what is expected of her, to fall into someone’s obsession and be a possession? Not to mention you are a harbinger, that sort of marriage would mean she’s would never have to worry about something like work again.” Childe’s smile twitched at the knight’s words, but he didn’t break it yet. “No… (Name) is a free spirit, she can’t be tied down, nor should she. Marriage here in Sheznaya is till death do us part… it is similar other places, Fontaine, Liyue… but here… sometimes death won’t mean someone’s freedom.”
“It’s not like that, (Name) and I have known each other since we were children. I love he-“
“Love? You’re joking.” Clarus stepped forward, standing up to Childe. Something he would probably scream at himself for in the future, so hot headed. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but (Name) told me it has been almost seven years since she saw you last, you were children. You’re living in a delusion, she isn’t that same girl she was all those years ago.”
“Then tell me who she is.” The harbinger’s smile finally broke as he looked at the hydro knight with those blank, empty eyes. “Who is she? You must know since you taught her how to fight? Is she good?”
Clarus gulped and nodded, clearly nervous now. “She is very skilled, she… she was able to fight a ruin guard after the first week of lessons.”
Clarus expected the harbinger to be angry, letting you run into such obvious danger, but he only smiled…
“Oh, I’m looking forward to see that strength with my own eyes…”
—————————
It has been a few days since that conversation, but it does not matter much to you since it is beyond your knowledge. You have been traveling with two others since Clarus’ disappearance, the former mother of the House of the Hearth and darling of Arlecchino, Solene, and with her the former darling of the harbinger know as Sandrone, Sylvie. The medic and the hunter, the darlings of Dottore and Capitano respectively, had decided to stay in the wilds of Sumeru, an environment they were familiar with. The one you ran away with, the darling of Pantalone, had gotten herself a job somehow at the Jade Chamber as Lady Ninggaung’s personal assistant, so she stayed behind there. You three now travelled, looking for a safe place to land, that is why you found yourselves in Fontaine. Fontaine was not the safest region for you all, but Solene wanted to check up on a few loose ends before you all continued on, most likely to Natlan next. You were the brawn of the group, which wasn’t a lot, just you knowing you’re away around a sword thanks to the missing Clarus, which leads you where you are now.
You slashed through the skin of the last Fatui agent that had spotted you three. You all were on your way to the Court of Fontaine when you were spotted by more than a few members of the Fatui who attempted to take you by surprise, but luckily Sylvie had more than sensitive senses, she had noticed them in time for you to draw your blade. As the body fell to the ground with a sickening splat you breathed a sigh of relief, you could live to be free another day. Sylvie and Solene started discussing on how you all could figure out where Fatui were stationed to avoid them all together as you sheathed your sword. Then, out of the corner of your eye you noticed a strange envelope in the unconscious man’s pocket, you were careful not to kill him that would be to brutal for you. You reached down and delicately grabbed it. You walked behind the other women as you opened the wax seal and read it and immediately your heart sank.
My dearest (Name),
I wish so much to see you again soon. Your teacher has told me about how strong you have gotten and honestly while I wouldn’t have taught you how to use a weapon, I am so incredibly proud of you, милая. Honestly I can’t wait to have the chance to test your strength myself, I promise not to hold back if you don’t.
Yours,
Ajax
P.S. These agents had orders to bring you to me, but something told me that they wouldn’t stand a chance, so I wrote this letter just in case.
This letter had confirmed your fear about the Fatui holding your friend, but there was not much you could do about it. Sylvie had guessed weeks ago, when Clarus was first missing, that if the Fatui were the ones behind it, he would be in Snezhnaya by now. You must have looked like a ghost when reading the letter because without you realizing it, the two other woman were in front of you, trying to snap you out of it. You could hardly process anything besides the loud heartbeat in your ears, you were in a complete panic.
You looked towards the unconscious body of the Fatui. If they were to wake up they would report back to Childe about where you were.. you could…
You quite literally had to shake that thought away as the others guided you on either side away from the carnage you caused. You looked down at your hands and all the callouses you had gotten over the last weeks… or was it months? They were not the soft and delicate hands that would play with that young boy in the woods of Morepesok, your hands had become rough and strong like that of a soldier… like Childe’s…
No, no, no, you cannot think of yourself like that, you cannot be like him…
Your hands can be strong and rough, when you need to be, but they can be soft and delicate, holding them out to help another up…
Your hands were like a knights’s.

Chapter 2 - Masterlist
Tumblr media
You were annoyed. You had Ratatouille Renesmee in your lair for five days now and honestly, she was slowly making you regret ever kidnapping her.
"So you don't want to kill me ?"
"No."
"But you want my mommy ?"
"Yes."
"Why ?"
"Because."
"Because is not a reason. Really you could have targeted someone with a family weaker than ours.".
"I have good reasons."
"What are they ? It's kind of boring here don't you think ? You should add some colors on your wall !"
"No."
"Why not ?"
"Because I say so."
"But it's boring !"
"Shut up."
"That's a bad word !!"
"SHUT THE F― oh my God, kids nowaday."
"You look younger than I though."
"I'll burn the kid today." A groan escaped your lips as you turned away to grab your coat and out on your hood.
"Imma go on a little hunt. Stay in your cage and try to find something to distract you in your tiny space." You walked out as the girl started to speak again.
"Hey, don't leave me alone ! That's not very kind !"
The moment you closed the door, you finally felt like you could breathe. How was that kid Isabella's daughter ? She was so talkative while her mother was probably the most awkward introvert you've ever got to meet. But when you were younger, people always prefered a shy introvert who loved to read than a loud extrovert who jumped on trees.
Rolling your eyes at the thought, you made your way toward the entrance of the wood and jumped on a few trees. It was always better up there, that way you could see your prey any human much better. And as if your thought summoned them, a couple walked in the forest. They were dressed in a bunch of hiking equipment so they were probably here to see the awesome view the mountain offered them once they reached the top. Sadly they would never get the chance to.
Following behind them quietly, you always vomit your dinner hearing their cringe lovey-dovey discussion. The couple was talking about their movie date a week before and it was an awkward date and also an annoying one. Because honestly, who goes to the movie theater to watch a documentary on otters ?
"I love you bug-a-boo~"
"And I love you more winnie poo~"
"No ! Me bug-a-boo !"
"Me winnie-poo !"
"No―"
"Both of you are dead now anyways." You jumped off the trees you were on and you pinned them both on the ground with your feet smoothly.
"Who am I going to eat first ?" You smirked at their horrified expression and lowered yourself before taking a deep breath.
"You love alcohol don't you ?" You asked the man and his eyes widened while his girlfriend glared at him.
"What !? I thought you stopped ?!" She claimed and you rose and eyebrow surprised.
"Man you lied to your girl ? That's kinda low." You pointed out and the woman huffed before looking away from her boyfriend and you smirked.
"She cheated on me three times with all my boys !" He claimed and you looked at the girl in surprise.
"Damn, low blow girl." You acknowledged and the girl gasped dramatically before glaring at her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend whatever.
"Both of you are dead anyways."
Screams echoed through the forest and then there were two bodies, lying lifelessly on the ground, a bunch of claw marks on their bodies along with a few burns but no blood coming out of their injuries. Their blood got drained and the bear that clawed them was already jumping from trees to trees to go back home.
On your way back, you crossed a deer drinking some water and you stopped on your track. For the past five days she was there, Renasberry didn't eat all because she was brainwashed into their weird aff vegetarian diet or because the hybrid weird kid wanted human's food. But you needed to keep her alive somehow. A silent groan escaped your lips as your eyes the deer before you and prepared yourself to kill it.
Snapping its neck was an easy part honestly, especially since you just feet, carrying it to your super villain's lair was also an easy part, opening the door though, was kind of harder. But you were a super villain so you guess what you did ? A badass kick in the door and busted in.
The weird hybrid kid named Rasputin turned toward the door in shock and you rolled your eyes before dumping the deer in her cage and creating a new fire door for your lair.
"Eat up. You're paler than your mom when she was able to be sick." You glared before turning away and the kid looked at you with a teasy grin.
"You got me some food ! It's because you care~" Renesmee teased and you rolled your eyes annoyed.
"No I don't."
"You so do."
"Do not !"
"So do !"
"Do not !"
"Do not !"
"So do !" You replied and the kid smirked at you while you realized what you just said and a groan escaped your lips once again.
"How the fuck did I fall for that stupid two year old trick ?" You muttered.
"You said a bad word !"
"SHUT UP AND EAT !"
Tumblr media
The Cullen's household wasn't happy anymore. You know how Bella used to say that her life was a nightmare before meeting Edward because now she has a handsome rich vampire husband ? Well now she thought that her life was worse because she lost her beautiful super rare hybrid daughter.
"We couldn't find her anywhere." Jasper announced seriously as him, Emmett and Seth arrived in the living room and Edward rolled his eyes in annoyance.
Seeing his brother's reaction's Emmett felt his own anger starting to rose up. Yes, Emmett wasn't the type to get annoyed or angry, except if you won against him in video games, but he wasn't annoyed for that. No, the big bad himbo vampire was annoyed because Edward was acting like he was the only one affected by the disappearance of ReNameMe, sorry oh my goodness, your author may have a problem with Razzel Dazzel's real name, Renesmee. Edward was acting like Rosalie wasn't isolating herself in her room out of guilt and refused to face anyone. See Emmett was usually very playful. That was until his wife was hurting and everyone just ignored it.
But was Emmett McCarty Cullen the main character ? No, you guessed it. He was probably the most underrated sibling of the Cullen's family but let's not talk about that.
Reading the thoughts of his brother, Edward glared at him from his seat on the couch and scoffed.
"Well I'm sorry, if your wife would have kept a eye on my daughter we wouldn't be here !" The golden brunet expressed and Emmett growled.
"Hey ! Rose did what she could ! You should have kept on eye on Renesmee she is your daughter after all ! Don't put everything on my wife !" Emmett's eyes turned darker as he was ready to jump on his brother.
Seeing the outbrust about to happen, Alice decided to take Jasper out of the room. The empath was already overwhelmed enough by everyone in the room, he didn't need to feel the emotions of the fight as a plus. Seth followed shortly after them, believe it or not he thought of them like his second parents. Leah followed her brother obviously, leaving Esme, Carlisle, Bella, Jacob, Edward and Emmett in the living room.
"Everyone calm down." Esme tried to sooth the atmosphere miserably.
Poor woman hated to see her children hurting and she hated even more to see them fight each other. Over the past few years, it has been hard for everyone between the hunters, the newborns army, the pregnancy and all the drama following the Volturi, Esme's caring nature couldn't help but worry for her children. But people oftenly forget that she existed too. She was Dr. Cullen's wife, not Esme, just Dr. Cullen's wife, so let's not make a big deal about her and how she might feel after all those years, yes ?
"No Esme, I'm sorry but Edward here needs to know that he is not the only one being hella worried about Nessie." Jacob butt in and Edward growled at him before getting up and face the alpha.
"If you were so worried you would have run faster !"
"And if you were so worried you wouldn't have let your daughter in the guard of other people ! Especially if you're not gonna assume your mistake after it !"
"I'm going to―"
"Boys ! Please ! Don't fight each other. Not now." Bella begged and the two turned toward her pleading eyes before getting off each other.
Like usual, Bella was the peacemaker between the two boys. Were they supposed to be adult now ? Yes they were. But the main character is the hero in every situation am I not right ? So let's make Bella act like the perfectly not-awkward-anymore-super-powerful-vampire-newborn main character that she is.
"Emmett, go check on Rosalie yes ?" Carlisle told his second son who simply huffed before being taken out of the room by his adopted mother.
"Edward, I know that you're frustrated but we're all soing our best to find her. And Jacob, I know that your imprint link makes you act up but we need to calm down and sit to think about a way to get Renesmee back without any harm." Carlisle announced when suddenly Seth ran back into the room, a familiar type of half burned letters in hands and a horrified expression on his face.
"Carlisle ! This was by the entrance of the wood. The child's sent is all over it." The young shifter exclaimed and Edward snatched the letter from his hands before that his expression fell and the words of the letter rolled off his tongue.
"'Fighting each other for five days, losing her more for five days. You had ten days granted. Tic, tac, fire and flames'."

Guess I wanted too much
Spring had made its way to Gotham, snow melting into slush and flooding the streets as the days grew longer and the winter chill started to recede. It crept into the past as singing birds and allergies were to come. It was supposed to be a time of happiness, of excitement for warmth before the general population complained about the heat plaguing the city in a few months time. But Jason watched the rain that had cleansed the city for a week already with certain disdain.
His apartment was silent save the rain’s ambiance—it hadn’t been this quiet in ages. Hadn’t been so hollow and empty since you came into his life. A presence to warm the space even when you sat in silence scrolling through your phone. Or when you cooked and hummed to yourself or when you took phone calls in his bedroom and didn’t think he could hear you sing his praises. It should’ve made his heart swell, flattered by your adoration of him, and yet it made Jason anxious. Nausea flowering in his throat at the sounds of your lies on his behalf, covering up the life he lead all while admitting how deeply you felt for him. He had heard that phone call so many times, a quick tangent usually, but it stuck with him nonetheless.
It was those moments—sweet and tender—he turned into something dark, twisted. The way you unabashedly reached for his hand at the grocery store, or called his name in a room full of people felt…wrong. You weren’t supposed to be like this with him, no one was. Jason didn’t deserve such kind words and outward gestures of love, and you didn’t deserve to be trapped with him. Stuck in something that could never really be anything. You were too good for Gotham and for him. He had always known it, tried to ignore it and just dwell in the bliss that came from being with you, but his guilt was stronger. More consuming than the feelings he had for you. It made breaking your heart painful, but a necessity.
He wasn’t yours to love, to have. He had said those words to you, “I’m not for you to love, or to be with. I’m sorry, but I can’t keep playing house anymore. This isn’t my life. You aren’t.”
His voice was cold, empty as he spoke. You couldn’t hide the hurt in your eyes, tears threatening to spill. “Then go.” It was all you were able to muster, standing in your apartment as he let himself out without another word.
He wanted to add it was because he loved you, but it felt cruel. He had to remind himself he wasn’t yours to love. Jason wasn’t for anyone.
And he believed his words, for weeks on end he told himself over and over again that he made the right decision. Threw himself into work and tried to burn you from his memory with violence and power. Jason ignored what headlines you might see—what you might think of him. He had never let himself care before, you told him what he did with that life was not for you to be apart of if he choose to keep you separate. You said it casually, with a shrug like Jason was supposed to know. Know that respect and privacy he could never ask from someone was being offered freely.
Jason supposed you’d keep your word, keep your distance from the bloody and chaotic side of his life despite him leaving you. You were good like that, honest and uncompromising when you needed to be. It made him smile despite the torrential downpour, knowing there was something good still in Gotham. Something—someone worth fighting for.
Yet, as something akin to peace washed over Jason, fate played its hand and it sent him reeling. A notification lit up his phone sitting on the kitchen table. It drew his attention away from the window he had been staring out of for a while, compelling him across the room and to read the two words that broke his heart.
I’m moving. A message you sent a minute ago, two words hanging in the ether that left Jason short of breath. He had already lost you, but this was like sand slipping through his fingers all while a tsunami rushed the shore. It made his stomach knot and guilt trickled into his chest like a steady stream. You couldn’t leave the city you had made a life in because of him. Because of the pain he caused you—no that grief, that guilt, would swallow him whole. Devour him till he was nothing, but bone to burn to ash one day.
Jason was out of his apartment in record time, not dawned in his suit, but enough tactical wear to hop across rainy rooftops safely. He ignored the chill of the rain that drenched him in mere minutes, he slicked his wet hair back and regretted his leather jacket as he landed an apartment over from yours. He huffed out a few breaths, calves flexing and whining from the amount of work he just put them through to get here. Jason steadied his breathing as best he could, grappling over the alleyway and to his surprise, landing right behind you. You were next to a small pigeon coop someone kept on the roof, the stretching piece of plywood was a makeshift roof you just fit under. You had a blanket wrapped around your shoulders, the bottom corner wet with rain water likely from the puddles on the roof.
He let out a sigh that caught your attention. You glanced over your shoulder before your face fell. Your phone was still in your hands and Jason wondered if you texted him because you were up here. Staring out into the city and thinking of him as he was you. “You’re moving.” He found himself saying, more accusatory than he intended, but he couldn’t help himself. Not when desperation wafted off of him in waves.
“Yeah, I just…can’t with this city anymore.” You turned fully, you had never looked so small before. So withered and tired. You look like you had been crying recently and Jason’s resolved weakened. He assured himself that cutting you out of his life was right, to save you pain in the long run, but the pain you wore so clearly now was a gut punch. It was wrenching and Jason didn’t know what to say to fix anything.
“When?” He asked instead.
“Not sure, Im gonna stay with a friend in another city for a bit before I figure everything out. Think I have someone to take over my lease so…” The idea of someone else living here made his head spin. This space was an extension of you—he could see your interest in what you hung up on your walls, your love in the plants littered around the space, your happiness in the smell of food mixing with the candles you burned and even your old grumpy cat belonged to this space as much as you did. It was one of the only places in Gotham Jason could…breathe. Think or not think and he was losing that and you—
“No.” He gritted through his teeth.
“No?” That wasn’t meant for your ears, he was trying to silence his own thoughts. He cursed to himself and turned away from you, rain soaking his face as his only then remembered it was pouring. “Maybe I shouldn’t have sent you that text…I think I knew you’d show up here—I’m sorr—“
“No.” This time it was for you, even if he still refused to face you, let you see the regret plain on his face. “I don’t want you to leave Gotham like this…not because of me.”
“I know, and I wish I could stay, but Jay its too hard. Being here and trying to move on is killing me.” You were calm, calmer than he anticipated. He wanted anger, he wanted you to throw his words in your face, scold him for showing up when he was the one that forced you away. And yet, you tried to apologize and were being honest with him.
“I wouldn’t ask you to stay, but I’m sorry for how I ended things. You don’t—didn’t—deserve any of this.” Jason was never one to admit his wrongs, but this was the end of something that meant everything to him once. He couldn’t let you go with resentment between you two. You let a beat of silence pass, eyes fallen to the ground between your bodies as you processed his words. Your brows pulled together and you took a step closer to him. You weren’t out in the rain yet, but stood close enough to the edge to make sure your words hit him clearly.
“What did you mean by that? Didn’t deserve…what? What we had before? Didn’t deserve a good relationship? Didn’t deserve to be happy? I know I don’t deserve how you’ve treated me since, like I never existed, but what didn’t I deserve before? You?” Your tone was jaded, it wasn’t angry, but hurt. It made the knot in his stomach twist, his heart wrenching at the thought of you undeserving of good things. It was all you deserved, it was all he wanted for you.
Jason whipped around as he spoke, breathless before the words even left his mouth, “You didn’t deserve to be in a barely real relationship. I can’t be the person you deserve to be with, I can’t offer that much of myself to you.”
Another beat, you hovered by the edge of the makeshift roof, before letting you blanket slip off your shoulders behind you. You stepped into the rain and took him in properly, soaked from head to toe, but Jason was still bathed beautifully in the moon and streetlights that barely touched buildings this high.
“I knew all of that, I knew it wouldn’t always be normal, but I accepted it Jay. I chose to look past the parts of your life you didn’t want to share, because I didn’t care. I still don’t. What we had was a real relationship Jason, to me at least, and I didn’t even think anything was wrong when you broke up with me. I thought it was actually great, for what we were working with.” You laughed at the end, watery, but your voice stayed strong. You meant what you said, Jason blindsided you more when he left you than with his Red Hood confession. His admittance to the double life he lead was a blow, but one you could digest. Jason leaving you? It was a grenade set off from within your ribcage that left no survivors. It was pain beyond grappling with the violence that surrounded the man you loved.
“But that isn’t fair to you. I can’t give you everything, but I know I’ll take everything you can give. You get half a person and—“
“I make that choice, not you. I’ll take half a person if its you. I’ve always known I’ll love you more, be able to give you more because I’m sharing you with a city hellbent on destroying itself. When you’re the only person I want to share anything with, of course you can have it all.” He was silent, staring into the dark skies and wondering what he did to deserve you. Had he suffered enough that it was finally time to enjoy the peace?
You put your hand on his arm, urging him to look. He let his eyes meet yours reluctantly as you sniffled. “I don’t need what you think is real Jason. I just need you.” Your voice was a soft plea, fingers tightening around his leather jacket. He stared down at you, so much ache in his chest for ever thinking life made more sense without you there. He wanted to apologize, again and again until his voice went hoarse. He wanted to fall into your arms and sleep for days after weeks of restless nights. He wanted to cook your favourite meals you always said never tasted as good when you did it. He wanted to forgive and be forgiven for all the hurt swirling between the two of you.
But all he could manage was a plea of his own, almost drowned out by the spring rain that washed away the cold weeks you both spent unbearably lonely, “Don’t leave Gotham.”
You nodded, “Don’t give me a reason too.”
The knot churning inside his stomach disappeared with your soft words, making him breathe out a laugh. It was surprised, relieved and everything you needed to hear. A smile broke over your face and the tears brimming in your eyes finally spilled over as you closed the distance between you two. Your hands rested on the lapels of his jacket. He let his cradle your jaw as the rain engulfed you both, foreheads pressing together as the moment overtook you two. It felt like a dream, like everything Jason wanted was suddenly in the palm of his hands and he couldn’t believe it. Believe he had let you go and somehow managed to get you back. He couldn’t decide what you deserved, but god he’d try be the person you needed him to be.
He wanted to say that, promise you he’ll try, but words failed him at times like this. Jason was all need, desperate for you to understand how much he loved you. All he could do was act, fingers tightening and tilting your head up before his mouth crashed into yours. It was hungry and pleading, begging and convincing you to stay with him forever. To know his love forever. You kissed him back with as much urgency as you could muster, just as desperate for his touch as he was yours. It was deprave how you both nearly crumbled when his teeth tasted your bottom lip. You hands had slid under his jacket, pulling you flush against him as your fingers fisted the dry fabric against his spine. He shuddered into you, pulling away with a heaving chest. You rested your chin on his sternum, blinking up at him with happy tears still overflowing. He brought this thumbs to the corners of your eyes, brushing them away before kissing you again.
His lips met yours slower this time, mending the harshness from his last kiss. It was just as needy, lips finding the corners of your mouth, cheeks and jaw before he found his way back to your mouth. Jason’s tongue swiped over your lips, one of his hands moved to cradle the curve of your skull, letting your head fall back as he left open mouthed kissed against yours. Your tongue slid over his and you wished you were in bed. Sat comfortably atop him and making out on some boring Tuesday afternoon. It was always those moments, those days when everyone else was consumed with jobs and school and life, where you and Jason flourished.
Or embracing on a rooftop, in the pouring rain, during the dead of night, while everyone slept.
It was moments where you fell into the corners of life, missed by the bustle of the city and enraptured by each other. It was all you ever needed from Jason, and he was ready to give.
Gonna stay humbled to this rock
Silently when I know that I belong
Tell me stay on the right track
You know I got faith and beliefs
In my life and just
I guess I wanted that much
Yesterday I fell out of grace
I made you feel bad again
I wanted all your reasons explained
Guess I wanted too much
