My Wife - Aaron Hotchner
You and Aaron had been dating for a year. You had met when you were walking your sister's dog in the local park and Jack had come running up to you asking if he could pet them, of course you agreed and thats when his dad introduced himself as Aaron Hotchner but insisted you called him Aaron. You met them every time you went to the park.
You started to get excited at the prospect of seeing him again and he felt the same, he eventually asked you on a date, to which you happily agreed. Time flew by when you were with him, happy to be in his company. You started making Jack and Aaron's food for school and work respectively. When his team noticed they asked him who had been making them, he was very secretive with the details and didnt tell them much.
They asked Garcia to hack his phone to see but she refused to, she did want to know who was making her boss smile but wanted Aaron to tell them in his own time.
You were currently in the passenger side of Aaron's car on the way to his work. You kept staring and him, he smiled at you and you felt your heart rush. He had this blush rising from his neck to his face because you kept staring lovingly at him. He had never had someone so in love with him before, it felt really strange and magical at the same time.
When he pulled up and parked the car in the car park. He then got out, rushed to your door and opened it for you. He held your hand as you got out the car and all the way to the building. Aaron was always opening doors for you, that's what made you fall for him. He was always a gentleman and kind, he didnt kiss you until your 3rd date.
He held your hand all the way to the the floor he worked on, as he opened the door he coughed to get everyone's attention. "Everyone this is my wife Y/N". You gasped and looked at him. You blushed and started to giggle. He looed down and you confused for a moment before saying "Sorry, she is my girlfriend not my wife".
He lead you down the steps to where all of his team was waiting and introduced to them one by one. The girl you knew as Penelope, dragged you to one side and started asking you questions about your relationship, all of which you happily answered.
Aaron was stood staring at you with love and dedication in his eyes. Emily walked up to him and said "Wife? You really love her dont you?". He didn't offer a verbal response but just nodded and patted his trouser pocket, where the engagement ring was. He had plans to ask you very soon.

immediately yes pls… my guilty pleasure is shit like this >< makes me think of hanji & felix for some reason :p
Jisung wasn’t having it. You were his— originally, at least. Sure, he didn’t get to call you his girlfriend or give you his last name, but everyone knew you were his. He thought you knew as well. But then he found out you got yourself a boyfriend and suddenly he was gritting his teeth fuming. How could you? How dare you? And the fact that you still kept his number in your phone… the same contact, the same random texts at night. Oh, Jisung was going insane. He knew you still wanted him; he knew he’s the only one who could have you, and he knew you knew that very well. Yet, you were still posting pictures of your “perfect, pretty boyfriend.” You were still telling everyone he was amazing.
Jisung wondered why you were even wasting your time. He’s seen the pictures of your boyfriend— Felix. Even the name makes him scowl. Felix was too innocent looking, too kind, the way he held you in pictures was nothing like how Jisung held you. It was different, softer. It almost made Jisung laugh whenever he saw them. Was it jealousy? Maybe, but it was also smugness. His name was practically carved into you at this point, Felix was just an added accessory. Maybe it was sad how Jisung still waited by his phone every weekend, manifesting your call on his screen as he stared at it. Maybe he was the one who should be embarrassed, but he didn’t have it in him. He always found himself accepting the invitation to your house, to invitation to fuck you. It’s like the second he heard your voice he folded. The anger he felt for being the second choice dissipated and all he longed for was you— your momentary ecstasy. The only time when he can call you truly his. Maybe it’s pathetic, he’s beginning to believe that he actually is, but he can’t help himself. It’s an incurable urge, an insatiable need.
“You’re mine— mine,” Jisung moans as he bends to your face, the flat, toned surface of his chest meeting yours, sweats mixing, eye contact unbearably toxic, “Say it to me.” God, he wants to cry, from the pleasure the absolute burn he feels when he sees you. He almost sounds angry, hissing out demands. You obey them always, your infidelity clearly not a worry in your brain. You breathlessly respond as his hips drive into you, again and again. Over and over in the same spot that he knows drives you mad. “I’m yours— Hannie, m’ all yours, please, baby!” Your nails dig into his shoulders but he doesn’t feel it, his big brown eyes shimmer down at you. “Louder.”
“I’m y-yours!” Your back arched off the sheets, Jisung’s fingertips sliding up your body and onto your throat and jaw. He touches you like lava on water, stinging and singeing. Burns of lust and bliss. Your vision is blurry and suddenly Jisung is wide awake, the pure rage becomes smugness again because, well, you just said it. You’re his. He knows it’s just temporary, but what if it didn’t have to be? Your perfect, little boyfriend might not like that his girlfriend is being fucked brainless by another man— he may not be aware of it now but Jisung was more than capable of changing that. So as your eyes cross and roll back, Jisung reaches for your phone, the screen alight with 3 messages from your boyfriend: “Where are you?” “I miss you.” “Come home soon.” And it almost makes him laugh. Oh, he knew this was evil, he knew this was an irreversible, bitter act. But so was cheating on your supposedly-perfect boyfriend.
Was it an act of jealousy or an act of revenge? Either way, he was doing it. So he opened your phone, placing the Face ID in front of your fucked-out face, snickering of how unaware you were. He laughs as your messages open and, of course, the chat was with Felix. The three messages practically burning into his retinas. He clicks the camera icon and doesn’t hesitate before clicking record. His hips relentless, but slowing now just so the camera wouldn’t shake too much. You blinked, callously breathing while your eyes stared at the ceiling above. “Baby, look at the camera,” Jisung commanded, your obedience was perfect, immediately looking curiously at the phone in front of your face. Your phone. You parted your lips to speak, only to feel the quick interjection of his cock thrust deep inside you, a moan falling from between your lips, “Who do you belong to?” Him. “Y-you.” Who? “M’ yours, Ji!” That’s right.
“Say to your boyfriend, baby, I’m sure he’ll be so happy to see you,” Jisung chuckles, tongue gliding over his teeth. You’re too fucked stupid to even reply, moaning as his thrusts became indecent, too quick and rough. Jisung doesn’t hesitate to press send, he flips you both around, situating you on his lap, a simple command of, “Fuck yourself on me, bub.” His eyes fixated on the screen; he watches the little grey dots appear and disappear, he watches so happily. He has it immortalized forever, you’re his. And now your boyfriend knows. Your boyfriend is well aware of what a cheating slut you are, the three dots appear again. And the message that sends makes Jisung laugh boisterously, throwing the phone down as his hips instantly reach for your waist, helping you bounce on his cock, “Felix said hi.”

[Light] [Noa x GN!reader oneshot]
Tumblr media
Summary: Noa wakes you up at an ungodly hour to go into the overgrown city.
Words: 2.5K+
Warnings: Mutual pinning (neither of you know yet), romance, Reader is insecure, self indulgence at its fucking finest. Gender neutral but Noa thinks you're pretty :)
A/N: I'm so in love with him it actually hurts LMAOO, literally a ache in my chest. I was listening to Light by sleeping at last while writing this <3 hence the title, I hope I got the energy right!
Tumblr media
You weren't quite sure what Noa was planning, he had woken you up early, maybe an hour or two before sunrise.
Groaning and rolling away from his poking, he moves to trail a hand down to your side, jabbing his fingers there.
Your eyes fly open with a yelp, staring daggers into his head. You turn to him, and he has a small smirk on his face, laughing silently about the pout of your face.
He's already dressed in his normal attire, his feathered adorned to his person, a sling wrapped around his shoulder as well.
Noa watches your face take him in, and he hopes to anyone who's out there, to Caesar you can't tell how flushed he gets under your gaze. It's bad enough that everyone in the clan side eyes him because they know of his feelings for you. He hasn't worked up the nerve to tell you himself. He doesn't know what to do. He's both simultaneously enamored with you and your differences, but in the same vein, you're so different.
Sometimes, a part of him wishes he hadn't fallen for you. It'd be easier. It's easier to just be your friend and your protector, but falling for you was as easy as breathing.
You move to stretch out our limbs, groaning as you twist and turn, eyes still half lidded. The noise gaining his attention, his previous thoughts disappearing.
You're pretty like this, he thinks. You always do though, no matter what you're doing.
"What the fu-
Noa shoves a finger against your lips, gesturing for you to be quiet.
'I need you to come with me, important.' he signs, moving to grab at your hand, pulling you up. He forgets his strength a lot and yanks you into his chest. Your head knocks into him, and you yelp. In his defense, he didn't mean to!
"Sorry." He sniffs, using a large hand to rub at your forehead to soothe the ache there.
"This better be worth waking me up."
"It will be, come on."
Tumblr media
Noa leads you down to the horses, a hand on the small of your back, pushing you to go faster.
"Noa, what is the rush? Is everything okay?" You dig your heels into the soft earth beneath you, looking at him with concern.
He's been unusually impatient.
It's early as hell in the morning, no one else is awake. Not even Dar is up and about and that woman is constantly moving.
"Everything is fine, you worry too much."
"I worry a normal amount, thank you very much." You stick your tongue out at him, moving a hand to rub at your eyes, to get rid of the crust lingering.
You both arrive at the hut where the horses are kept, you linger back as Noa goes inside to grab his. He's fast and efficient, checking the satchel strapped to the animal to make sure he has everything he needs for this impromptu trip he's taking you both on.
It's cute the way he gets in the zone, his eyes trained on his task.
Yawning, you're not processing Noa's words until he's right in front of you in the saddle. That was fast.
"Come, come. Do you want to ride with me or ride alone?" Noa always ask, and he knows the answer by now.
You always ride with him, just like you always go with him anywhere.
It's a running joke in the clan that you're Noa's shadow, always at his heels, asking if he needs anything or if there's something you can do in general.
You've come a long way since then, finding your place in the clan. Not needing to follow Noa like a lost puppy, but as it turns out, you can't shake the habit of being around Noa when you can. Without thinking, you find your way towards him.
A part of you is still insecure about your place among them, knowing just how different you are. Noa is your only true companion, you think. Dar is loving, but you're worried she doesn't like you, same with Anaya and Soona. No matter how much they say they love you, years of differences have made you insecure.
So you cling to Noa like a lifeline, despite knowing you shouldn't, surely he doesn't want to be around you all the time. It's not fair to him.
But Noa never let it show that he finds your differences bothersome, you couldn't lift what the others could? No worries, he'd adjust it for you, making you a pulley to help or helping you himself when he had the time.
Or if you didn't know how to fish or hunt, he'd take you and Soona, and Anaya would come with all three encouraging you and helping you learn. He'd ask his mother to teach you how to make garments and how to farm the earth. He always looked out for you, even if he wasn't around.
They never made you feel like a burden, Noa never made you feel like a burden.
How were you not supposed to love him? In every universe, you're sure you were to be in love with him in every single one.
"Help me up?" You ask sheepishly, lifting your arms up so he can grab onto you.
"Of course."
Tumblr media
It's been about an hour or two, give or take on the ride to the overgrown city. Not that you'd know. With the warmth of Noa against your back and the steady movement of the horse, you've fallen asleep again.
Noa snorted when he realized, your body slumped into his, your hand loosely holding the saddles horn in a feeble attempt to not fall off.
He has to wrap an arm around your waist to make sure you didn't fall off or that what he tells himself.
Noa would never admit it, but he cherishes how easily you trust him, how comfortable you are with him, it makes him feel important, makes him feel loved. He'll give you shit for it, but nothing makes him happier.
You're only asleep for the last hour of the ride, breathing softly as Noa leads you both past the overgrown city, the hooves of the horse being the only noise being made.
"Here, wake up." He slows down the horse, pulling to a stop in front of a looming building, covered in greenery. He has not so great memories of it. Almost falling to his death would do that to you. But he won't take you that high. He'd never put you in danger.
His arm slips from your waist, moving to rub up and down your side as he tries and wakes you up for the second time today.
You let out a grumble. He feels it in his chest, and it makes him chuff, but open your eyes, blinking rapidly to get the sleep out of them.
Once he's positive, you won't fall without him propping you up. He demounts with an ease, his feet hitting the ground in a soft thump as he turns around to face you, holding his hands up so you can use him to get down yourself.
You move to grab his hands with your own, ignoring the spark that runs down your spine at the contact.
There are so many differences between you and Noa, too many to even begin to count, but the way his hands are similar to yours, the way he immediately holds you so gently, makes them seem insignificant. Is this what love is? It's weird.
Noa sets you down on the ground, smiling softly at you, then moving to wrap the reins around a piece of metal protuding out of the ground to ensure the horse doesn't go anywhere. Something he didn't use to do, but after the events of the last time he came into the city, he's not going to have that mistake happen again.
"We'll start climbing here." You crane your neck and balk at just how tall the structure is, it's a good couple of stories up, he's insane.
"Uh, Noa, I don't think you remember, but I can't really climb that high."
"I carry you, like I always do." He says it nonchalantly, shrugging with a shoulder.
"Noa, I'm heavy, no." It's always embarrassing when he carries you. It makes you blush, and you're terrified he can hear your heartbeat.
The look he shoots you is devastating.
"You always say that, you are not." He argues, looking offended on your behalf.
There's no point arguing with him about this.
You sigh and gesture for him to turn around so you can climb onto his back.
He does just that, crouching towards the ground.
You're always afraid of choking him out when you get on his back, so you take extra care to gently wrap your around around his neck, sliding your legs around his waist.
"Are you ready? It'll be a bit of a climb."
You let out a 'mhm.' Your brain too occupied with taking in his warmth and his scent, mind all fuzzy at holding him.
"Hold on tight." He squeezes your thigh.
Tumblr media
The climb is uneventful, mostly you filling in the silence with what you've done in thr last few days, Noa nodding and offering a hum here and there.
He finally stops, jostling you a bit to look at what he's come to show you.
A smile creeps along your face. It's Eagle eggs, four to be exact.
Despite the Eagle clan hand raising plenty of the birds, they don't do well breeding with their intervention, so to see a clutch is rare.
"Pick the egg that speaks to you the most."
You stare at the nest of eggs, taking in each one's complexion. It's hard, you have no idea why you have to choose. You figure Noa just wants your input, so you take it seriously.
Within a minute, you decide to point to the biggest egg in the center. The eggshell is freckled, and it stands out the most among its siblings.
"I like that one." You say softly in Noas ear. He nods and scoops it up, taking care to put it in the sling.
"Was that it? Can we go home now?" You rest your head on his own, holding back from nuzzling into his soft fur.
"Yes, this is all I needed today."
Tumblr media
After making a slow descent down the crumbling tower, Noa helps you get back onto the horse, throwing himself behind you. He moves the egg sling to be on his back, in order for you to be comfortable. (He wants you to lay against him so bad again)
The way home is filled with a comfortable silence, only breaking when you see fit.
It's always nice to spend time with Noa, but this particularly feels different, like something is innately changed in your relationship. You're probably imagining things though.
Tumblr media
Noa stops shortly before the village, it not being more than an acre away.
Noa swings a leg off the saddle, falling down and reaching for your waist to lift you down as well.
He breaths out your name, continuing after a moment. "Before we go, I need to give you something. Close your eyes."
You lift an eyebrow at him, but do as you're told. It's Noa, you trust him with everything in you, so your eyes slide closed.
Noa ruffles with something, cursing quietly under his breath. It makes you giggle, you had been teaching him some human vocabulary, alot of curse words included.
You're a bit startled when you feel him brush your hair away from your face, his thumb gently brushing against your skin. The blush that threatens to overtake your face is insane, and you hope he thinks it's just because the sun is beaming down on the both of you.
You feel something be placed over your head, sliding down and stopping at your chest.
Noa takes a second to readjust it, making sure it's snug and resting comfortably on you.
"Open now."
Peeling your eyes open, you're greeted with a blinding smile by him, and your mouth goes dry for a second at it. Yes, he has always been handsome, but the way he's looking at you now, the way his eyes are shining with happiness, it's a lot to take in. He's so handsome and he doesn't even know it.
Noa doesn't notice your internal dilemma over him, nodding his head towards your chest, still beaming with pride.
You snap yourself out of your Noa fueled daze, eyes going down to your chest.
It's the egg you chose.
Confusion fills your brain for a second.
"This is your egg, why am I carrying it?"
Noa told you all about how his egg was crushed the first time he got it, and how a downward spiral that moment had lead to.
Even though he had Eagle son now, you had figured he still wanted his own, to say he had done it for his late father.
"No, this is your egg."
"What?"
"Your egg, your Eagle to raise."
"Noa-"
"Noa, nothing. You are part of us. You get an eagle."
"Noa, I'm not. This is special to your clan. Someone else should have my egg." You try and carefully slip the sling from your neck, but Noa beats you, his hands inclosing around your own to stop you.
"You are apart of the clan." He murmurs, pushing your hands down until they're at your side. His hands then come back to your face, holding your cheeks gently.
"You're not an outsider."
The lump in your throat is suffocating, your eyes well past the point of welling up. Salty tears having no consideration for how embarrassing it is for you to cry over this.
Noa hums, this thumbs coming up to brush them away, still smiling, his eyes willed with warmth and his smile just the more softer.
He pulls you in then, resting his forehead on yours, a hand against the back of your head.
You let out a shuddering breath, smiling so hard it starts to hurt.
"You're apart of me."
Tumblr media
"Noa! My Eagle hatched!" You're sprinting to him, he just got home from exploration with Anaya. You've missed him, even more than usual.
You move to grab his hand, trying with all your might to pull him off to drag him to the Eagle area.
Anaya shoots a look to Noa, a smug smirk on his face.
"Noa you go, your mate needs you." He teases, dismounting his horse, grabbing Noas reins from him.
Noa sputters, quickly signing that no, you two are not mates, at least not yet. He hasn't even asked if you liked him yet! He's told Anaya this on the trip, many times, after many rounds of teasing.
You don't understand their signing that well yet, so you tug at Noas hand again, intertwining your fingers.
"Noaaa, come on!" You whine.
Noa is sure he'd do just about anything you asked of him, and then some. So he gets off the mount and runs with you.
Anaya snorts, shaking his head good-naturedly.
"Not mates, as if."

The only reason you were stuck with the housecleaning job was because your main occupation, the one where you applied to be the secretary for a really nice, friendly, sweet CEO, was a ruse. Well, technically, it wasn’t, because the other bitch that applied with you got the position you wanted, but you found out it was because that nice, friendly, sweet CEO wanted you for something else— to be his personal maid.
Your opinion of the man quickly changed when you stepped foot in his house. He went from being all the good things you heard about him to a gigantic piece of shit. His persona at work was a fucking lie, and God, you wished you could tell everyone about his actual tendencies, but you weren’t allowed to. He used that sweet charm of his to trick you into signing a literal slave contract. Money kept going and going into your account, but you weren’t ever allowed to really use it or touch it because you were locked up at his huge mansion. You were his.
The moments where he was at work were the moments you lived for yourself. His place was always clean and immaculate, so you really had nothing to do for him while he was out other than sit around. You considered going online shopping, but since the CEO had you in stupid uniforms that rotated daily, you couldn’t go shopping for clothes, and there weren't any other material possessions you really wanted, so you just sat at home and watched TV for the most part.
That day, your uniform was a freaking maid outfit. You hated the maid outfit the most out of all of the rotations because it was that iconic one with the black skirt and the white apron, and every single damn time, he made you wear tights. Sometimes they were white, sometimes they were black, sometimes they were full leg, sometimes they were thigh high; it really just depended on his mood. That day, they were black and full stockings.
“Y/N? I’m home,” you heard him call into the house the second he got home— right on schedule, as per usual.
You quickly smoothed out your uniform, fluffed out the skirt, neatly tucked your hair behind your ears, and quickly made your way to the front door to see the CEO standing before you, his fingers hooked into his tie as he loosened it. Right next to him was another man— another CEO that you had recognized.
“Mr. Jeong, Mr. Park,” you greeted while bowing. “Shall I set up the dining room?”
“No, he just stopped by quickly to grab a document that I left in my office room. He’ll be out shortly,” your employer responded to you.
You knew what that meant. You bowed your head slightly, the man heading to the office room while the other stood before you.
“Y/N,” the man stated your name softly.
“Mr. Jeong,” you responded.
“Please, you know you can call me Yunho,” he said with a dry chuckle. “How are you?”
“I’m fine. And you?”
“Could be better…”
Yunho took a step towards you, all of your cells nearly jumping out of your skin as you realized the distance that had closed between the two of you. You looked up to meet his gaze and saw him chewing on the inside of his lip.
“Listen,” he stared softly. “The offer still stands. Come work for me.”
“No, thank you, Mr. Jeong,” you politely declined.
“Is it because of the non-compete? Because I can have my lawyers—”
“No, it’s not because of that.”
“Then why?”
You pressed your lips together. Sure, you hated the terms of your contract, but it wasn’t because of the way the CEO treated you. You were his, but you weren’t really. What you really wanted was for him to not see you as an object but as a human because, truth be told, you were in love with him. Some could argue that it could be the result of Stockholm syndrome, but you were in love with the CEO even before the contract. How funny.
“Mr. Jeong, I have the document,” the other man returned to the area and shoved the folder into his chest. “I believe you best be going now.”
“No need to get testy, Seonghwa,” Yunho chuckled.
Seonghwa shot the man an ice cold glare, prompting Yunho to hold his hands up in the air as if to surrender.
“Alright, I’ll see you later, Seonghwa. Bye, Y/N.”
With that, Yunho disappeared, leaving you alone with the CEO at the entrance. Before you could even let out the breath you had been holding back, Seonghwa stood in front of you, his sharp gaze nearly burning a hole through you.
“You were late,” he said quietly, the edge in his voice nearly making your heart sink.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Park,” you responded in the same register and bowed quickly.
He let out a soft, disgruntled sigh. You kept your head bowed as he stood even closer to you and inspected every single inch of your appearance to make sure you were conforming to his presentation standards.
“No clip in your hair today?” he asked while petting the back of your head.
“No, Mr. Park. It broke last week, remember?”
“Oh, right. Never mind then.”
His hand slipped away from your head, and you let out a soft breath when you saw him take a step back. You thought you were safe, but then you felt his fingers tuck under your jaw and tilt your head up, forcing you to lock eyes with him. You barely maintained eye contact when you felt his fingers then slip from your jaw down to your neck, his fingers pressing lightly into your arteries.
“That still doesn’t mean you’re excused for tardiness,” he brought his head down and whispered into your ear, goosebumps spreading across body rapidly when you felt his breath on your skin. “Come with me.”
Oh, and that was the other thing. You were his sex doll.
He led you to his bedroom and immediately pinned you down on the bed, his hands pressing into your thighs. His thumb nails tore through the thing fabric of the tights, your thighs spilling out of the tear. You watched the man lick his lower lip slowly as he stared at the way your skin peeked through the first tear. He did this every time, and seeing his eyes darken every time he did it made your body flush with heat. Every single damn time.
You could tell his patience wore thin that day. Usually, he would take his time with you, but given that he was irritated with your behavior and the fact that he tore through your tights like it was absolutely nothing, he was definitely impatient.
“Mr. Park,” you whimpered when you felt his hands push up through the tears and to your panties.
“No, doll. We've been over this," the man sighed as he pressed his body against yours.
"I'm sorry, Seonghwa," you murmured your correction while stifling a moan.
"Good girl, doll," he whispered, his lips pressing gently against your ear. “Now turn around and stay on your hands and knees.”
You were a little taken aback; the CEO liked to savor you and eat you out, which meant he really was impatient. Also, he was more of a breasts man, so to hear that he wanted to fuck you from behind was another little surprise.
You did as the man asked, the faint tinkle of his belt buckle and the sound of him unzipping his pants echoing in your ears as you raised your ass in anticipation. He pushed your skirt up, tore even more through your tights, and pushed your panties to the side to reveal your soaking wet cunt. Licking his fingers, he ran them over the lips of your quivering pussy, his fingers teasing you as he pet you slowly.
“Mmm, look at how wet you are,” Seonghwa murmured. “Is this because of him or me?”
“Seonghwa, what are you— Oh God!”
You didn’t get to finish your thought. Seonghwa shoved his cock into you roughly, his deep groan reverberating in the room. You heard him sharply inhale when you clenched around his cock, his waist snapping into yours seconds later.
“Fuck, you’re always so tight no matter how many times I fuck you, doll,” Seonghwa hissed. “You were made for me.”
Every single nerve in your body tingle. You let out a sweet moan when you felt his hand smack your ass before gripping it tightly, his hips not letting up. The more he thrust into you, the louder your moans got. You dug your fingernails into the sheets, your toes curling as you felt his cock being to render you useless.
“You like that, doll?” Seonghwa asked through gritted teeth. “You want more?”
“Yes, please!” you whined.
Suddenly, he pulled out of you. He grabbed the skirt and yanked it down before flipping you over and pulling your top off, leaving you in your undergarments and the torn tights. He ran his fingers along your ribs before pushing your bra up and planting his lips on your breast, the feeling of his teeth tugging on your nipples sending your brain into a frenzy. His other hand guided his cock to your cunt, his waist rolling into yours before his hand found your other breast.
Despite him pleasuring you so, you desperately wanted him to kiss you, but that was the thing about Seonghwa— he never kissed you. He would leave marks all over your body and let his lips have free range of every single part of you, but not once did he kiss you. When he looked up from your breast to see your glazed eyes and slightly parted lips, however, something clicked.
“Doll, open your mouth,” he instructed quietly.
You did as he asked, and finally, his lips met yours. His tongue dove deep into your mouth as he kissed you recklessly. His hand searched for yours, and when they found them, he laced his fingers with yours before pinning them on either side of your head. He pressed his upper body against yours and moved his hips faster while you wrapped your legs around his waist, the slaps from him fucking you getting louder with every passing second— although, you couldn’t hear that over the sound of your wet kisses.
“Fuck, doll,” Seonghwa breathed out in between kisses, unaware that you could hear him. “I love you.”
Those three words were enough for you. They were unexpected given the moment you were in, but you were happy to receive them. So happy, in fact, you clenched again, the butterflies in your stomach rampaging wildly. Groaning, Seonghwa moved his face from yours and buried it deep into your neck before ramming his waist into yours harshly, his cock hitting your cervix. The two of you came together, your moans harmonizing in hot, heavy atmosphere of the room.
You could feel Seonghwa’s seed spill out of you and pool between your legs as he pulled out. You blinked the stars out of your eyes as you watched him get off the bed and stand up, his fingers running through his hair as he let out a soft sigh. Then, your heart fell. He went back to his usual pattern of helping you clean up by giving you a towel and leaving the room.
What he said to you in bed wasn’t an admission of love, you realized. It was him loving the idea that you were there. He wasn’t in love with you— he loved your purpose. Dejected, you got to cleaning yourself up, a small pout forming on your lips as you tried to push out all the hopeful thoughts that had begun to swirl around in your brain. You moved to get off the bed, only to see Seonghwa turn wearing fresh underwear and holding a brand new hair clip. He got on the bed next to you and held the bed sheet up to your chest, prompting you to cover your naked body before he started pulling your hair back. The hope started to revive in your heart as you watched him care for you in a way he never had before.
“I have a question for you,” he murmured softly.
“What is it?”
“What was… Mr. Jeong talking to you about?” he inquired as he strained to say the other man’s name.
“He wanted me to come and work for him.”
“Uh-huh… And what did you say?”
“I said no, of course.”
Seonghwa moved away to look into your eyes. He smoothed out the hair on the top of your head and smiled at you— and it wasn’t the fake, sickly sweet smile he laid on his investors. No, it was a genuine smile, one that made your heart clench and also race at the speed of light. Then, he pressed the gentlest kiss on your forehead, your heart completely and utterly swooning for him at that point.
“That’s my girl,” he whispered.

Elvish art genre that definitely exists in Middle-Earth: the captivity of Elrond and Elros (mostly just Elrond, especially after Elros dies)
The paintings– done mostly, but not always, by Sindarin and anti-Feanorian Noldor artists– are usually studies in contrast– Elrond as the bright, innocent child dressed in white; often portrayed as a small, frightened elfling, frozen at the moment he was taken from Sirion. Sometimes he is shown bravely resisting the cruelty of the Feanorians, other times he mourns for Sirion, or bows and prays to the gods for deliverance. Sometimes, he's given wings, both to stress his connection with Luthien and Elwing and to make him look more angelic and pure in comparison to the fallen Feanorians.
Maedhros and Maglor are the dark monsters the oath made them, with teeth, and claws, and harsh armor. Some of the more daring artists just portray Maedhros as an actual orc. While few of the paintings actually show the Feanorians' crimes, they're often portrayed with blood on their hands or swords, or simply surrounded by fire and destruction. They often demand, or threaten in the pictures, towering over Elrond and casting long shadows on him.
There's a few different sub-genres of these paintings. The ones that explicitly compare Elrond's situation to Luthien's kidnapping by Celegorm. The ones that feature a grateful Elrond being saved from the horrible Feanorians by whoever the artist is looking to valorize– Gil-Galad, Galadriel, Oropher, Eonwe, etc. The ones that show Elrond, locked in a dark cell, staring longingly out at Gil-Estel rising in the night sky. Some of the strangest are the ones that draw connections between the Silmarils being kept in Morgoth's crown and the twins– often with Maedhros playing the role of Morgoth.
Elrond hates almost all of these paintings. He feels like they take away his ability to define his past the way he wants to– to tell his own story. Most of them are grossly inaccurate, but most people don't know that, and dredging up all those really painful memories to try and correct people's assumption is hard. Sometimes, even when he does, people won't listen. Some of the paintings also seem... weirdly gleeful about the idea that Elrond suffered because of the Feanorians? Like they're trying to martyr him even though he's alive, and doesn't want to be martyred. It all makes him really, really uncomfortable.
There is one exception. It's not a very traditional example of captivity paintings. Elrond is at the center of the frame, shown not as a small child but as a young adult. Maglor and Maedhros are mostly unseen in the background, each with a bloody hand on one of Elrond's shoulders. Unlike the other paintings, instead of looking off into the distance or staring demurely at the ground, Elrond is looking straight out at the viewer His expression is hard to place. Anger? Acceptance? Defiance? Pity? Accusation? It's a very odd picture that unsettles almost everyone that look at it.
Elrond insists on hanging it in Rivendell.

Kaku x Izana little sister hc's????
Sure, here they are!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kakucho would be very respectful with his crush, definitely doesn't want to do anything to potentially upset Izana.
Actually probably denies his crush altogether for a long time, tries his best to see you as nothing but a friend instead. Even tries completely avoiding you. But it never works, his feelings only get stronger instead. So he tries to hide them.
Constantly sneaks glances at you, being careful to only look when Izana isn't around.
Whenever you smile at him he feels like he's going to explode. Because of that he normally frowns back.
Eventually all his cold behaviour towards you get noticed though, Izana assumes he hates you and doesn't like it so talks to him, encouraging him to "get closer to you".
Oh poor poor Kakucho having to spend time with the girl he loves and keep it a secret.
He does enjoy it though, he enjoys you and loves the time the two of you get to spend together
Has a lot of guilty feelings towards Izana though, feels like he's betraying him.
Things all come to a head one day when you get kidnapped by another gang. Both him and Izana are beside themselves with worry, they eventually spilt up to come and find you.
Kakucho finds the warehouse you're being kept in first, brutally beating up the rival gang and then going to check you over. He's frantically examining you, searching for any signs of injuries, panic clear in his eyes.
His eyes soften when he doesn't find anything and he pulls you into a tight hug, relieved that you're ok.
Naturally his feelings pour out at that point, telling you how worried he was and how he loves you.
Izana walks in at that point to find Kakucho loudly confessing to his baby sister.
And oh boy does he go through a whole range of emotions at this. Kakucho literally fliches when Izana calls his name and asks what he's doing.
Things get.......weird after that, tense. Kakucho avoids both you and Izana, Izana is even more overprotective then normal and everyone else won't stop asking questions
In the end it takes an intervention from everyone (Ran leads it) to solve the issue. With everyone's help Izana realises he just wants his sister and Kakucho to be happy. And Kakucho realises it's ok to put himself and what he wants before Izana.
Izana does threaten Kakucho though "don't you dare ever break her heart". Not that Kakucho ever planned on doing that. Now that he has you he's never going to let you go.

Broken Together

BlackCat!reader x Bucky Barnes
Chapter 5/6 : <Prev/ Next>
Word Count: 1.6k
Warnings: Talks of violence, suggestive language
A/N: okay so I fully planned to do a smut scene but then I chickened out because I've never written one before so.... sorry. ALSO: keep your eyes peeled for the kickoff post of my 300-follower (holy shit) celebration along with chapter 3 of the Fluttering Hearts series, both will be coming out before the end of the day!
Tumblr media
You nod a solitary nod and reach for the door handle.
“I love you.”
That stops you cold in your tracks.
“Don’t say that.”
“That’s not really the reaction I was looking for if I’m honest.”
“Well what did you want me to say James?”
“I don’t know, really anything but don’t say that. I tell you how I’m feeling and you know that I’m not good with that feeling shit and your reaction is to tell me not to say it?”
“Jesus Bucky, I can’t ever tell with you! Two minutes ago you were giving me the silent treatment and being all pissy and now you tell me you love me? What am I supposed to do with that?!”
“I- just… I spent the whole night worrying about you, you were back there in that room all alone with those bastards and I couldn’t get to you. I just had to listen through comms and hope and pray to whatever God there is that you come out the other side.”
“Bucky, I can take care of myself.”
“I know that, really I do. I have never ever doubted that you could handle yourself but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying when you go somewhere I can’t reach you. It’s bad enough I had to watch you hanging off that asshole all night. Watching him touch you in the way I’d wanted to all night.” Bucky’s hands tighten around the wheel. You watch as he swallows something caught in his throat.“I watched and stood there like an idiot while he held you close and made you laugh and did everything I’d been dreaming about. I couldn’t look away though, as much as I wanted to becuase even a glimpse of your smile is enough to make all that shit worth it. But then I hear you being threatened, I watch you walk away with the target and not even five minutes later he pulls a gun on you? It took everyhting in me not to run to you, not to burst in and protect you with all I have.”
“I don’t need your protection-”
“I know that! Goddamn it I know that! I know that your amazing, that’s the only thing that kept me from running in there, knowing how good you are. How good my girl is at her job, she doesn’t need me, but I really fucking wish she did.”
“You’re girl? I’m not your girl James I- you don’t even like me?”
“What?! Why the hell do you think I don’t like you?”
You scoff, “You give me shit all the time. You call me Fury’s pet and you never fail to let everyone know just how much you don’t trust me.”
“I trust you, I trust you with my whole life, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.”
“You have a funny fuckign way of showing it.” You cross your arms over your chest, this whole night scratch that day has been a total fucking emotional rollercoaster, you almost died and now here you are. The man who you love to hate and hate to love is spouting all kinds of heartfult shit and you’re reeling, I mean… what are you supposed to say to that?!
Bucky takes your silence harshly, he tries to fill the space with as many words as he can. He knows that he’s not good at this shit. He isn’t James Barnes the ladies man from the forties anymore, he’s too broken for that. But he can tell your broken too, and maybe you can be broken together?
“When I say that I love you, I mean it. I mean that I can’t stop thinking about you, when youre not next to me it’s like i can’t breathe. When I hear you laugh or see you smile my whole world lights up. God even when you’re yelling at me an throwing pillows and shit I can’t help but feel like a goddamn wire. I don’t know when I realized it was love, if it was months ago or minutes ago but I’m not taking it back. I don’t think I can ever take it back.” Bucky ends his rant with several big breaths. The whole time he was talking, his eyes never left the road, his hands never left the wheel.
“James, I- God fuck. I’m not a good person. I don’t deserve good things. Anyone i’ve ever been close to has told me the same shit, i’m too broken to be good to anyone.”
“Yeah. You’re broken. You’re a smart-mouth little piece of shit who doesn’t lok after herself and can’t follow a sleep schedule for the life of her and I love you.” He finally looks into your eyes.
“I don’t need a perfect girl, I don’t want a perfect girl, someone to hang off my arm and laugh at my jokes and just stand there looking pretty? I’ve had that and it gets boring really fucking fast. But you? I could spend the rest of my life trying to figure you out and I really really want to.”
“I’m not easy, and I don’t think I ever will be.”
“I like a challenge.”
“Well,-”
“Jesus, Stop trying to talk me out of this, I want you. I want you and all the messy shit that come’s with that.”
“I’m running out of reasons anyway.”
“What does that mean… for us I guess?”
“It means that if you can get us back to the hotel within the next five minutes I’m gonna let you see the pretty little number I have on underneath this dress.”
Bucky slammed on the gas.
_____
It took the two of you four minutes to get to the hotel, the entire time people were honking at your car weaving through traffic. You’re really fucking surprised that the two of you didn’t get pulled over.
Four minutes is a lot of time though, especially when your nervous as hell and have a penchant for self-sabatage. You don’t know how this is going to go. This is brand new territory for you and honestly your shitting bricks right now with how nervous you are.
It’s not like you’ve never been with anyone, but Bucky is the first guy that you’ll genuinely care what happens when it’s over. Most of the guys you’ve been with before have been the type to only want something physical from you, not that you were complaining, you had needs and they were willing to fuffil them. They just didn’t want to date you, and never once had any of them used the L-word.
You’re still reeling from Bucky’s confession. You have no idea how long he’s felt this way but the more you think about it the more it makes sense. For as long as you’ve known the man he’s been difficult to read, he build walls as easily as you do and he uses them to block out 99.99% of people in his life.
Now that you’re really thinking about it you’re astonished at how much he told you tonight. You guess having a gun pulled on the person you care about really makes you want to tell them everything you’d been holding back.
You’d be lying if you thought that there wasn’t something you also wanted to tell Bucky when you heard the safety click off. You don’t know if love is the right word, not yet but you do know that he means just about the world to you. The only person in your life who really seems to see you and understand what you’re thinking. You’ve always liked working with Barnes, it was easy, but now you think there might be something else to it.
Bucky pulls into a parking spot right at the front of the building and within seconds he’s by your door opening it and offering you a hand to step out.
“Eager?”
“Very.”
He pulls you out of the car but doesn’t step back, he crowds you in every sense of the word. You see and smell and think nothing but him. This close you notice the little things that you hadn’t before, like the little piece of hair that keeps falling onto his forehead, escaping the gel holding the rest of his locks back. Or the way small scars he has, one above his eyebrow, a line to the right of his lip, a little triangle under his eyes. You could spend hours studying him, he doesn’t give you that long tough,
“Can I kiss you?” He asks, moving closer to your mouth. You don’t answer, just push yourself into him. You practically melt at the little groan that falls past his lips.
His hands fall to your hips almost instintually, the grab ahold of you firmly not willing to let you move even an inch from his hold.
His mouth moves passionalty against yours, he takes his time really trying to get to feel you, to taste you. The pulls away only enough to get air into his lungs, resting his forehead agaisnt yours. God he could kiss you for a lifetime and even a bit longer than that.
“That was…” you start.
“Yeah.” The corners of his lips turn up into a genuine smile. You love his smile even if you don’t get to see it that often.
“James?”
“Yeah Kitty?” He giggles… this grown ass man giggles into you.
“Take me upstairs, these people don’t need a show.” You nod your head at the gathering of people outside, trying and failing to make it look like they weren’t just staring.
“Gladly.”

Veritaserum
@struttingstag
May 24 prompt: veritaserum | Jegulus | 1811 words
CW: mention of past suicide attempt
James was feeling good. It was the last night before the Winter Holidays and naturally, the Gryffindors were throwing a party in Gryffindor Tower. He even convinced Regulus and the rest of his friend group to come to it, which made James smile even more than he did when he usually saw his boyfriend. The drinks were flowing and the music was blaring in all corners of the tower.
James was feeling bold since he was more than a little tipsy. Most everyone in Gryffindor knew about him and Regulus but they were still careful most of the time since you never knew who was going to show up at the party and Regulus was still in Slytherin, much to James' and Sirius' dismay. They would have rather he'd just stay in their dorm where they knew it was safe.
Regulus told James that he could take care of himself and James knew that but he still worried about him. It had gotten better though since they first started dating. When they first started, Regulus was still living with his parents and they ran the risk of anybody in Slytherin ratting them out if they weren't careful. James looked over at Regulus who was standing next to the drinks table with Barty and Evan. He knew he shouldn't but James couldn't help himself.
He walked over to the table, took Regulus' drink out of his hand, and handed it to Barty before dragging him to the dancefloor's centre. Regulus grumbled a little but let James do as he pleased nonetheless. James didn't know how long they had been dancing but Regulus had his head on James' chest as he wrapped his arms around his neck and played with the curls that hung down. That was until Sirius shouted and they both snapped their heads up to look in his direction.
"Alright, losers!" Sirius exclaimed as he stood up on the table. "Now that the younger years have gone to bed. It's time for the real fun to begin."
"What are you talking about?" Regulus scoffed before he buried his head in James' chest again.
"I'm so glad you asked, baby brother," Sirius announced with a bow and James could practically feel Regulus roll his eyes. "We're playing Truth or Dare but with Veritaserum because I know that some of you fuckers are fucking great liars and I want to know all the dirty, little secrets you've been hiding."
To say that Sirius was drunk was an understatement, especially since Remus was trying to pull him off the table and Sirius kept swatting him away. James had no problem with Truth or Dare. He just didn't know how deep the questions would go with how drunk Sirius and most of the others were at the moment, so he was just a tad bit worried. Not that he really had any secrets to tell anyway.
"I'm in!" Marlene shouted and that was all it took.
Everybody else in their little groups grumbled with their acceptance or agreed eagerly if they were Barty. They moved the table and chairs out of the way to make more room for everyone to sit in a giant circle, considering there were twelve of them between the Gryffindors and the Slytherins. Regulus practically sat in James' lap and James wrapped his arms around him instinctively.
"Okay, who's going first?" Sirius asked as he plopped down next to Remus and started to pour the shots of Veritaserum, passing them out as he went.
"Why don't you since you're the one who suggested to game," Mary replied with a small laugh.
"Alright," Sirius said with a shrug, "but who to ask first?"
He tapped his chin contemplatively before his eyes shot straight to his brother. James wasn't surprised.
"Reggie!"
"Of course he picks me," Regulus grumbled under his breath before he glared at his brother. "What?"
"Truth or Dare?"
Regulus sighed before he shocked everyone in the circle. "Dare."
"Umm, okay," Sirius faltered, clearly expecting him to pick truth. "I dare you to kiss the hottest person in the circle..." Regulus started to turn towards James because that was a given before Sirius continued, "that is not James."
Regulus glared at him again before he scowled and looked around the room. James was curious about who he would pick. It looked like Barty was expecting him to pick him but no, Regulus got out of James' lap and beelined it towards somebody else. They seemed shocked as well and Sirius jumped up to protest before Regulus turned on him.
"It was your dare," Regulus replied with a smirk before turning back and crashing his lips together with Remus'.
"That's not- that's-," Sirius threw his hands up in the air before he dropped back down to the ground and James had to cover his laugh with a cough as everybody else snickered with no shame.
Regulus walked back over to James with a satisfied smirk, kissing him on the lips right after. James smiled and wrapped his arms around him again.
"Okay, my turn. "Remus, truth or dare?"
It went like that for the next few rounds. Most picked dare and had to do silly little things that they honestly probably would have done anyway. But then it was Sirius' turn again and he looked straight at James. James sighed because he had a feeling he knew what was coming.
"Ja- ames," Sirius said in a sing-song tone.
"Yeah?"
"Truth or dare?"
"Dare, obviously." It really was the only possible answer.
"Okay, I dare you to pick truth."
Well, fuck.
"Umm, okay," James replied slowly as he tried to gauge what Sirius was playing at. "Truth, then."
James picked up the shot and downed the potion before he gestured for Sirius to ask his question. Sirius beamed at him before he spoke again and James wasn't sure how he felt about that. It seemed mischievous and like he was looking for something specific that James had never told him or that he thought James had never told him. Which honestly wasn't a lot, James would usually tell him everything and everybody knew that so he shouldn't have been surprised when all their eyes landed on him.
"What is one secret that you have never told anybody?" Sirius asked with an eager grin as he leaned closer to him.
James pursed his lips together. He had to ask that, didn't he because there was only one thing in his whole life that he never told anybody about and he never had any intention of telling anybody about for that matter. He was starting to sweat as he fought the potion and the words that were trying to tumble out of his mouth. Regulus was looking at him with concern now and James didn't want him to know. He didn't want anybody to know.
"Oh, come on. It can't be that bad," Marlene laughed.
James snapped his eyes up at her and glared. She just laughed some more as she held her hands up in mock surrender and fell back into Dorcas.
"It's okay, Jamie. Whatever it is. Nobody will judge you for it," Regulus whispered soothingly but all James could think was, 'You will.'
"Out with it," Sirius encouraged. "You can't fight the potion anyway so you're only hurting yourself more by trying."
James sighed before he looked down at his hands wrapped around his boyfriend.
"I tried to kill myself the summer after third year," he whispered just under his breath.
He never told his parents what he did either. It truly was a secret that he had intended on taking to his grave. James felt Regulus tense up in his lap. He was sure he was the only one who heard him since he was so close.
"What?" Sirius asked with a laugh. "Couldn't quite hear you."
James squeezed his eyes shut to stop the tears from forming. Everyone was laughing except for Regulus. After a minute or two, other people started to egg him on to repeat what he just said and since he was still under the effects of the potion he couldn't stop the hurt or anger that came out when he repeated it.
"I fucking tried to kill myself the summer after third year. Happy?" James shouted before he dislodged Regulus from his lap and stormed off towards the stairs to his dorm.
The room became deadly silent but all he wanted to do was get away from everybody. He made it to the top of the stairs before he heard Regulus yell at his brother.
"You're a fucking dick, Sirius. I'd suggest you don't go anywhere near him for a while. I can't believe you just fucking did that."
James heard the footsteps coming up the stairs and he was sure that it was Regulus but he shut the door anyway and made his way to the bathroom. James sat against the wall with his head between his knees and tried not to cry but he couldn't hold back the tears even if he was imperio'd to.
"Oh, baby. Come here," Regulus said softly as he grabbed James by the shoulder and pulled him into his lap.
James went willingly. He wanted to be alone but then again he didn't and if he had to be around somebody right now, he was grateful that it was Regulus. He really really didn't want to see Sirius. James let the tears fall as he sobbed into his boyfriend's chest. Regulus ran one hand in soothing circles around his back as he ran the fingers of his other through James' hair.
"It's okay, Jamie. I promise it's going to be okay," Regulus whispered.
James sobbed louder and Regulus seemed to put up a silencing charm which James was grateful for. He hated it when anybody heard him cry. He was supposed to be the happy-go-lucky sunshine friend after all. Although now that his secret was out, he wouldn't be surprised if people started to keep their distance from him for a while.
"Please, don't leave me," James whispered wetly. It was a little muffled since he had his face in Regulus' chest.
"I'm here for you, baby. I'll always be here for you," Regulus replied firmly. "And if you want to talk about it or anything, I'll be here for you then too. I'm not going anywhere, Mon Soliel."
James didn't say anything else. He just clung to Regulus like his life depended on it and cried until he couldn't cry anymore. He was sure he would pass out at some point but he didn't care. He was tired and wanted nothing more than to forget about everything that just happened.
"I love you, James. I always will."
It was the last thing James heard before he let himself let go and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬
Noble reader x Prince beomgyu
author's note: This isn't very fleshed out because it's not something that I had planned on writing — there’s a lot of telling not showing — and I have other things that I want to work on that this idea interrupted! I also kept a lot of details vague to allow readers to imagine your own interests. I hope this doesn't read like it was rushed (it took me about a month) and that I caught all the errors. This is inspired by Violet aka @blackhairedjjun and her fic Flowers of Every Colour. Her persona of Prince Yeonjun and vivid scenes live in my mind and I recommend you read it if you haven't yet!
word count: 6k
The prince often feels overwhelmed. Sometimes it seems as if everyone in the castle is looking for him at all times. Officials come to find him during his lessons, upsetting his tutors. His tutors come searching for him when council runs late and cuts into lesson time. No matter where he is or what duty he’s busy with, he receives notes from staff or delegates. He feels as though he’s in a constant game of tug-of-war, with his attention being the thing that’s fought over.
After a long lesson that had been rescheduled to a late evening hour to allow time for an urgent discussion with his advisors in the afternoon, Beomgyu could feel a headache coming on. As he departed from the study where tutoring was held, he felt heavy with exhaustion, a pressure pain behind his eyelids. He was so on edge that his head whipped toward every creak of the old floors, every distant sound of a door opening or closing, anxious that it was somebody seeking him out for yet another task that only he could see to or decision only he could approve. He just needed a minute – one minute at least – to himself. Every waking hour was spent in the presence of others, so much filling his days that his mind played it all back as he lay in bed at night trying to chase some much needed rest. Since becoming his parents’ consort, it felt as though he hardly had time to hear his own thoughts.
There was one place he knew nobody would look for him. Wearily he carried himself across the long open hall, past the top of the grand marble staircase he usually took to his rooms. He felt a little paranoid with the way he kept glancing around and over his shoulder as if he might be attacked at any moment by a “there you are, your highness.” If his father saw him now, he’d be scolded for looking like a thief in his own castle.
On reaching his destination, he breathed a sigh of relief. The library was quite large, with wall to wall mahogany shelves, beautifully covered atlases and historical volumes as far as the eye could see. Unlike the rest of the castle with its overbearing chandeliers, the library was lit with the soft glow of sconces. Finding a desk tucked away in a corner, Beomgyu sank into a chair. This was an area of the castle he hadn’t visited more than a handful of times, and never of his own will. He hadn’t been keen on reading growing up as his older female cousins had, always requiring a book to occupy them during the duration of their stay when they visited. The young prince had always preferred to spend his time outside whenever he could, and he'd found the silence of the library was stifling. It was bliss to him now. He only wished the buzzing of noise in his head would stop if he soaked in the silence long enough.
The place was empty, nobody to protest his posture as he leant his elbows on the hardwood desk and pressed his face into his hands. Closing his eyes, he willed his mind to quiet. He focused on his breathing. In, out. In, out. In…
It was no use. His head was still swimming with facts from his lesson. With things he had to remember for tomorrow’s conference and the names of politicians he’d met yesterday, their faces all blurred together in his mind. With his advisors calling for him, the head of house calling for him, everything needing his deliberation–
He dropped his head onto his arm on the desk. Even the silence couldn’t help him, it seemed. Was this to be his life? A mind full of endless chatter?
Beomgyu’s tired eyes wandered over the spines of the books he could see on the far wall. Their rich colours, greens and reds, whites and browns, many with delicate gold foiling of titles he couldn’t make out. His eyes traced up the aged ladder leaning against the shelves, the one he was always given a telling off by his chaperone for playing on whenever he was dragged up here. The corner of his mouth turned up at the thought of those simpler days. His cousins had married and had children, far too busy to visit except for special occasions – usually only those of a ceremonial nature. The last time he’d seen them, the children hadn’t remembered him at all, it had been so long.
Sighing unconsciously, his gaze drifted to the decorated ceiling, not even making the effort of lifting his head from his arm. The elegant painting that adorned the library ceiling had been done with a skilled hand. Beomgyu couldn’t even begin to imagine how many hours something so beautiful and detailed would have taken. It was a dazzling scene of the night sky, with clouds and stars that seemed to swirl around each other in a silent dance. He could see every fine stroke that had gone into creating the layering hues that made up the deep night sky, that brought texture to the clouds and made them look as though a gentle breeze could move them, and stars that seemed so meticulously placed. He’d never looked so attentively at the art before, but he found a new appreciation for the work as he discovered his thoughts had grown quiet. Maybe this was why people spent so much money on paintings, he pondered, before his eyes drooped to a close.
The prince had almost completely dozed off when a soft gasp pulled him from the edge of sleep. Eyes blinking open, he realized that he’d gotten far too comfortable. He felt slightly groggy as he lifted his head from his arm, which had gone dead with the weight, and wondered at how long he’d been sitting there. Thumbing at his lip, he found a wet spot had begun to grow at the corner.
“I’m sorry,” came a voice, the source of the gasp that had brought him back. Would he have spent the entire night here if he’d not been woken? His dazed eyes looked up and found you, shrouded in dim light. He caught sight of recognition dawning on your face before you dipped into a respectful bow.
“I’m so sorry, your highness, I didn’t mean to disturb you,” you said hurriedly, as if the words couldn’t get out fast enough. Did you think he was going to scold you for being here at the same time he was? “I was just leaving…”
Fighting off the lingering drowsiness, Beomgyu waved a hand, feeling sheepish at being caught in this position. “Please, there’s no need.”
You seemed to relax a little at that; the way your shoulders lowered as if you'd been tensed didn’t go unnoticed by the prince’s eyes. He had become skilled in recognizing stress, whether it was because he grew up in a somewhat high-stakes environment or he was sensitive to it now as a stressed adult himself, he was unsure. The book you were cradling in one arm caught his attention now that you weren’t clutching it so tight. Beomgyu didn’t recognize you, and he knew everyone who worked in the castle. It bewildered him a bit that you knew him but he didn’t know you, despite that being the case with almost every person he met. Suddenly he felt a touch embarrassed. Not only had you caught him in an unmannerly state, but he didn’t know your name, and he couldn't think of a single thing to say.
“I really was leaving,” you caught him out again by speaking first. Your eyes met for a long silent moment, and Beomgyu thought the silence had never been less stifling. Then you seemed to remember yourself, eyes dropping to the book in your arms. “I just need to put this back.”
Beomgyu stared at the back cover of that book as if it could help him, too occupied with scrambling inside his head for something to say to notice the way you nervously brushed the hair away from your face and stole shy glances at him.
“What is it?” he blurted. Internally he cursed himself for the way it sounded. He’d only wanted to say something before you walked away. There was an overwhelming feeling he couldn’t name. A longing for you to stay. A feeling of stupidity for not being his usual collected self.
As someone with an official title, meeting new people was always planned, always with a purpose, an end goal. He knew each time what was expected and required of him; how to act, questions to ask and answers to give. This was the first time he could remember meeting someone by accident, and it didn’t seem to Beomgyu that he was very good at it. Taking a breath, he attempted to reign in his panic and try again. “What are you reading?”
You had to look down and check. Turning it over in your hands, you revealed the cover to him with a shy smile. With just one glimpse at the title, Beomgyu knew it would be of no use to him in trying to make conversation. It was a topic he knew nothing about.
“Oh,” he said aloud. He hadn’t meant to. Hoping you hadn’t heard the disappointment in his voice, he rushed to cover himself. “Is it… good?”
Your small laugh surprised him. The sound of it lessened the knots in his stomach, even as he wondered if he had made a fool of himself.
“It’s useful,” you answered, looking him in the eye again. He tried to concentrate as you spoke, to hold on to the words and not get too distracted by your smile or your eyes. “I’m doing research for a scholarship and only the royal library has the books I need. That’s why I’m here,”
“The scholarship?” Beomgyu’s eyes had gone wide. “The scholarship that only one person is picked for every five years?”
Your eyes lowered as you began to blush. “Yes, that one.”
“Wow,” Beomgyu subconsciously sank into his chair in awe. “Your family must be very proud.”
You laughed once more, unaware of how the prince’s eyes lit up each time you did. “Well, I haven't got it yet.”
His mouth caught your contagious smile. “But to even be considered is a great accomplishment.”
Your eyes were the ones to light up this time. Clutching the book close to your chest again, you leaned forward, your fingers curling over the back of the empty chair in front of you. “This is the most impressive library I’ve ever seen.”
Beomgyu sat up taller in his chair. “It is, isn’t it?” He couldn’t help the proud grin that took over his face as he looked around.
“When I come here I lose track of time,” you went on. You were unmistakably animated with enthusiasm, and he was completely taken with you. “The first day I came here, I lost a whole two hours just reading all the spines. Even the ones that aren’t required reading.” Lowering your voice as if to share a secret, you confided, “If I lived here I’d probably never leave the library!”
Beomgyu suddenly felt guilty. He’d never thought about the knowledge that could only be found in this library, and that very few were permitted to the books that contained it.
“If only I had the time to read for pleasure here,” you went on.
“Well, why don't you take some home to read?"
"I'm not permitted to take books out of the library," you said sadly, your attention on the book in your hand as your finger traced the spine.
Beomgyu thought back to the summers he'd shared with his cousins; days he'd spent running around the courtyard in the sunshine while they lazed under a tree with their noses between book pages. "I am," he supplied. His voice came out surprisingly excited. "I could read them for you."
You looked around at him as he stood up from his chair. "Read them for me?"
The prince felt as though his smile was plastered on now. He couldn't hide it if he tried. "I could read them and tell you about them."
He felt your eyes go warm, glowing on him like the sun as you brought out your own smile. "I'm sure you have more important things to do, your highness."
Beomgyu shrugged.
***
That was the reason that Beomgyu started his days by going to the library. He read while he ate his breakfast, which luckily didn't have a set time to be finished by, as it took him a little longer to eat this way. He found himself getting so engrossed in the book that he would forget to eat at the same time, averaging a mouthful to every three paragraphs, his meal cold by the time he finished it.
Then he would read in his room at night. He found that it was an effective way to turn off the noise in his head left over from the day, helping him to sleep better. Many times he would nod off in his chair before waking up and getting into bed. He would take notes sometimes, to better remember the things he wanted to tell you about.
He looked forward to the closing of the day. Once his schedule was complete and it was almost time for dinner, he would slip up to the library in hopes of catching you and relaying all the things he'd read about so far. Excitedly and enthusiastically he'd tell you interesting facts and historical stories from his current book. He had much more energy at the end of the day than he'd had before now that he was sleeping better.
The library had become a sort of safe haven to him now. His tutors complimented his new interest in his learning during lessons, retaining and remembering with a sudden ease, and many of the staff had noted that he had become a lot less tense. The serving staff who saw him with his face behind a book each morning were amused, often surprised as he rattled off facts to them as they laid out and cleared away his breakfast. None of them knew the reason.
On his rare day of rest, he came to find you straight after lunch. He'd confirmed you'd be in the castle today the last time he'd seen you, and he'd been so excited last night that it had taken more than just one hour of reading to send him off to sleep. The day was sunny, and with some persuading Beomgyu convinced you to take a small break from your studies to sit in the garden. You were a little anxious about being caught taking advantage of your privilege to be at the palace by being seen with the prince, but he assured you that he would take care of it.
Deep in the garden, the two of you wandered up the stone path that divided the lawns, chatting casually. The gardens were magnificent. You'd only seen them from a window in the castle, but the further you walked the more beauty there was to see that couldn't be viewed from a distance. The path led to a beautiful paved area with a grand gazebo. Beomgyu ushered you to sit on the ornate bench, forgoing the custom that he should be the one to sit first and taking a seat once you had. Your heart was pounding despite the relief you felt that you'd not run into any trouble on your way out of the castle, and you were sure you felt it leap each time Beomgyu laughed.
He had produced a book when you looked back from admiring the scenery, from somewhere you could not determine. Your face lit up as you took in the familiar cover; it was the one book in the royal library that you'd longed to read most. Beomgyu beamed at your excited reaction as he held it out for your taking. You had to fight the urge to glance around and make sure that nobody was seeing as you took it from his hands.
You read it aloud, with Beomgyu listening intently to every word. In the back of your mind, you wondered how you ended up in this position. When you'd started coming to the castle to study, you had never imagined you'd catch sight of the prince let alone talk to him, and yet you had been in his presence more than anyone else inside the palace. Now, as you read, you took every opportunity to look from the page up at him, finding his eyes on you, his undivided and eager attention completely yours. You were quite comfortable being at his side by now, but sometimes when he looked at you, you could feel the prickling of heat beneath the surface of your cheeks.
You hadn’t thought he would follow through on his offer, but each time you saw him enter the library it made your whole day complete. Truth be told, it had begun to take your mind off studying a little. One moment you’d be reading about a lost dynasty, and the next you’d realise you had stopped taking in any information and your mind had turned to Beomgyu. It also happened that you would dawdle while reshelving the books you’d been studying, delaying your leaving in case the prince showed up, which he always did.
Time seemed to fall away around you as you read. Minutes were marked by each turn of a page and seconds by the now steady beat of your heart, until you were so enthralled by the text that you could have almost forgotten the scene you were truly in.
Beomgyu chuckled lightly and you paused your reading. Your eyes readjusted to the glow of sunlight on the backdrop of bright white flowers beyond the gazebo as you took in his smiling face once more.“You’re really enjoying this one.” His eyes flicked down to the page where you were marking the place you’d stopped with your finger. “You haven’t looked up for the last five pages.”
“I’m sorry,” you couldn’t help but laugh too. You felt almost giddishly content in this moment; in a breathtaking garden with a good book and someone you felt was becoming dear to you.
“No, it’s wonderful,” he assured you. “Is it as good as you imagined?”
“No,” you answered in one breath. “It’s better.” Beomgyu beamed, and it made you feel so warm you might’ve been sitting directly in the sun and not under the shade. But just then, a sudden cloud passed through your mind. “I’ll be sitting the scholarship exam soon.”
Looking out over the garden, you couldn’t help but feel sad as you thought of how much more you would miss your visits to the palace now that you had fond memories and someone you could call a friend here.
“Are you nervous?”
You shook your head softly. It wasn’t the answer to his question. He hadn’t caught your meaning. “My studies will be finished then.”
The prince’s eyes brightened even more. “Then you can read whatever you like, whenever you like.”
“Yes,” you agreed distractedly. In your mind you were going over the future possibilities. If you were awarded the scholarship, you’d be going off to attend university. If it was not granted to you but to someone else, your life would go back to the way it had always been.
Beomgyu seemed to catch the somber look in your eye as you looked to the distance. His expression faltered. “Oh.” He shifted on the bench beside you. “Oh, you mean…”
“I won’t be coming to the castle any more,” you affirmed.
His eyes lost their sparkle only for a moment as he thought through this information. Then he seemed to perk up again. “Well, I can invite you to visit. To visit the library. I’m sure there’s still so much to learn here.”
Your heart swelled with the idea that he wanted to see you more, even if you knew that it wasn’t a probable conclusion. It wasn’t that you didn’t trust the prince’s word, only that you knew that he was a busy man with tight schedules, that you were the eldest child of a noble family with a future to be decided and forged ahead. You returned his smile and tried to ignore the thought that you wished he’d come to the library months ago, that you’d met sooner so you could have had more time together.
“Would you like me to keep reading?” you asked as you reminded yourself that he was a prince and that was all he would ever be to you. It was a fortunate happenstance to have met him at all, you reminded yourself as he nodded eagerly and propped his chin into his hand to listen contentedly as you began to read again.
It didn’t stop you from clinging to every moment and trying to engrave every detail into your memory.
***
During the last few days you visited the castle library, you tried your best to think about Beomgyu as little as possible and focus solely on study. It was a hard task. Passing the grand portrait of the royal family in the hallway without looking was like trying not to glance around when feeling the presence of someone you know. It felt as if the library was haunted now. Almost each corner held a memory of the prince finding you and bumbling eagerly through a tale, helping you carry books back to their shelves, or asking you to come and sit in the garden.
You had seriously considered leaving early, removing yourself from the castle before the hour he usually made his way to the library. But you weren’t sure which would hurt more — knowingly missing out on seeing him in the last few chances you had, or having more encounters in which to grow more attached. The thought of both made something inside of you ache.
Just when you’d convinced yourself you had made up your mind to leave, you passed a window and spotted a carriage pull up at the entrance gates below. The door swung before the footman could rush to open it and there he was. You didn’t know he hadn’t been here in the castle. The heart that had sat heavy in your chest felt leagues lighter just at this distant glimpse of him. As you tried to gauge whether you were relieved you hadn’t gotten away without seeing the prince, you saw him rush inside. He disappeared from view of the window and you looked up into the purple hued sky of the fast oncoming dusk. Maybe you were safe after all. He was clearly on his way to tend to a matter of importance. Feeling assured you could slip away unnoticed, you slid the last volume back onto its shelf and made for the door.
The sound of hurried footsteps on marble gave you pause. Unconsciously you backed away a few steps frin the open double doors, ready to wait out the staff who must have been ascending the staircase on some urgent errand. But the huff of exertion you heard was familiar. Heart pulsing suddenly and in a mind of suspense and disbelief, you waited with bated breath.
When Beomgyu stepped through the doors, you felt an overwhelming gratitude that you hadn’t succeeded in your departure. Even after a mere day without seeing each other, seeing those warm eyes and the smile that broke across his face when he found you felt akin to finding a well of water after a month without rain.
“I’m so glad I found you here,” he said in his usual way, and it sparked your smile just as it always did. You were so occupied with trying to memorize this feeling, to make sure you remembered this moment, that you didn’t reply. Beomgyu was preoccupied himself and didn’t seem to notice. “I got you something.” His grin turned a tiny bit shy.
You blinked in surprise as the words sank in. “You got–? Your Highness–”
Beomgyu chuckled. “Come on, none of that.” Your eyes didn’t leave his as he reached for the hand at your side. His other retrieved something tucked under his arm. Gently he turned your hand upwards, and you hardly had time to process anything before an object was placed into it.
You looked down to see the very book you had been reading in the garden, only it wasn’t the same copy. This seemed to be a newer edition, with a beautiful blue velvet cover. It felt quite luxurious as you turned it over in your hands. A gasp emitted from you as the glint of the gold page edges caught the light. It was the most special and thoughtful gift you’d ever received, and, you thought, far more precious than any of the books that surrounded you in the royal library. You found yourself so touched that you wanted to cry, but you fought back the tears as you looked up at your friend.
The prince looked twice as happy as you felt. His eyes sparkled despite the soft lighting, and his cheeks had taken on a slightly bashful pink. “So you can finish it,” he told you softly. “And read it over and over again, any time you want.”
You were still speechless, and you could feel the hot prickle of tears threatening to build. Before you knew it, you had thrown your arms around his neck, his arms closing around your back. Never did you imagine anything like this. You were stretched up on your toes, and you were sure he was leaning down to hug you, but you were too wrapped up in the moment to think about any of it. It felt like you were holding on to each other a long time before you finally parted. The urge to kiss his cheek filled you as you brushed away from him, but you thought better of it. The last thing you wanted was for him to feel as though you were jumping to conclusions that were presumptuous.
“I don’t have anything to give you,” you fretted. The weight of the book in your hands made you feel unexpectedly empty-handed.
Beomgyu chuckled. “It’s a ‘good luck’ present. Except I know you won’t need luck.”
“Thank you, Beomgyu.” His smile somehow grew at your use of his name. You knew you had his smile etched into your memory already.
“You’ll have to tell me how it ends,” he said as the two of you made your way slowly down the stairs. It was the first time he’d walked you out, and you were too intent on borrowing more time with him to worry much about being seen together when you reached the grand hall.
“No, I won’t,” you retorted with a laugh, looking up at him as you both dragged out each next step as subtly as possible. “You have your own copy here,”
Beomgyu pondered this for a moment, lips pursing, before formulating his reply. His eyes were determined as they met yours again. “Well, we’ll have to discuss our opinions on the ending.”
Neither of you took notice of the way the heads turned and followed the two of you as you crossed the hall. It was mostly palace staff at this time of evening. With the book clutched to your chest, they could only gather that this was the spark that had ignited Prince Beomgyu’s sudden penchant for reading. Many silent smiles were exchanged across the room as you passed.
“You will come if I invite you, won’t you?” Bromgyu asked on the front steps. His face was earnest, maybe the most you’d ever seen. “When you have time out from school?”
“Of course,” you replied, meaning it with all the hope in your heart. “But I haven’t gotten the scholarship yet.” You felt cause to keep reminding him.
“As well as I know how often you could come to visit if you didn’t get it, I know you will. I have no doubt.”
You looked up to see the genuine look in his eyes, sincerity doing little to conceal the sadness. “We’ll see each other again.” The words felt like truth as you spoke them. “And in the meantime, we can write.” Beomgyu nodded eagerly.
Disappointment tugged at you when you spotted your family’s carriage roll up through the gates. With a small bow and one last smile, you stepped into the vehicle, still clutching Beomgyu’s gift. You kept your eyes on him as the horses walked on, watched him wave until he was out of sight. There was a renewed heaviness about you as you sat back and settled in for the journey home. Even the first stars beginning to emerge from the darkening sky couldn’t comfort you as you gazed out of the window solemnly.
***
Prince Beomgyu tried his best, rather unsuccessfully, to stifle yet another yawn. He’d stayed up too late reading, and now he was sitting in the grand hall trying to go over his upcoming speech with bleary eyes. He hadn’t intended to go to bed quite so late, but each time he’d told himself he’d close the book at the end of the chapter, he hadn’t been able to. The closer he’d gotten to the end of the story, the more gripped by it he’d become and the faster his eyes seemed capable of taking in the words. He’d read until he’d finished the book, then sat in stunned silence. He couldn’t help but wonder if you’d finished the book yourself, and he’d had the strong urge to start a letter. Instead, his good sense had taken him to bed, where he’d remembered the speech he should have spent the night memorising. The book had been a satisfying distraction. Without it he likely would have tossed and turned the whole night in anticipation of giving his speech.
Beomgyu was still new to public speaking and was not fond of it. As the hour grew closer, he found himself stumbling over his words as he practised. He could feel his heart rate increase, seemingly with each tick of the loud ornate clock across from him and every sound that carried into the hall from the room full of people he was to address.
Getting to his feet, he began to move about the room in an effort to soothe himself. His thoughts attempted to reassure him. He knew what was expected of him. He knew, for the most part, what he was to say. But then the image of hundreds of pairs of eyes all fixed on him crept into his mind, sending a chill down his back. As he passed the clock, he felt it was taunting him — it seemed the minutes were passing faster than they should. He could almost feel the second hand’s torturous chanting inside his chest from this proximity. With a shaky sigh he turned to cross the room away from it again, fiddling with the golden buttons on his jacket cuff which he had already fastened and unfastened more times than he could count in his nervous state.
Through the open doors across the hall he could hear the familiar sound of a carriage arriving out front. Beomgyu allowed himself to imagine it had come to rescue him. He had the urge to go and greet it, just to give him a brief distraction, but the clock stared him down, boasting a mere five minutes remaining until he must speak in front of the crowd. Reaching for the small paper in his pocket, he made to sit once more and make himself concentrate on revising the words, until a voice called his title. He jumped back to his feet in panic, fearing they had come to usher him in early, but as he turned to the door beside him that led to the luncheon, he found no one. Instantly some of the tension in his raised shoulders fell away.
“Beomgyu!”
His heart skipped over one beat as he spun toward the entrance and saw a figure in a half mannerly run. Disbelief flickered in his mind at the sight of you, the first in weeks, but his body suddenly felt lighter than it had all day. You were rushing toward him, an unmistakable grin on your face, footsteps muffled by the thick ancient rug that carpeted the tiled floors.
Beomgyu stepped away from his seat with only seconds to spare, his face still one of bewilderment as you threw your arms around him, almost knocking the prince off his feet. His heart was thudding rapidly in his chest, but now it had nothing to do with nerves. His arms went around you instinctively as you met chest to chest, and in his excitement he brought you up onto your toes with his hug. Your laugh in his ear was like a familiar tune from a yesterday he’d longed to return to.
You pulled back to see his face, speaking first as you saw a question forming in his mind. “I got it! The scholarship – I got it!” you exclaimed.
The sun seemed to dawn on Beomgyu’s face, along with something that looked proud. “Of course you did! What did I tell you?”
His arms had relaxed around you to let you draw back, and now you glanced down at the placement of your hands on his shoulders, looking a touch shy in your realisation. His smile grew at this.
“You worked so hard.” He spoke more softly than a moment ago. His heart didn’t seem to settle as the two of you untangled from each other. He had half a thought to check on the time before another thought replaced it. “I finished the book last night.”
Your smile turned fond. He’d missed you more than he’d thought he had, which was hard to imagine. “I finished it the night you gave it to me,” you admitted with a small laugh. “Did you like how the story ends?”
Beomgyu reached a hand out toward yours in a small movement, his skin tingling at the feel of your warm fingers as you allowed your own to close around his. It was the second time he’d touched your hand, and this time he could hold it longer. “Yes,” he replied as he felt his smile widen. Your eyes met his again with a new shine. “I liked the ending very much.”
The clock chimed across the hall, announcing the hour and reminding him of his impending task. The door opened and his advisor appeared. If he was surprised to find the prince with company, he didn’t show it. The man simply smiled and nodded his head respectfully. “They’re ready for you, Your Highness.” Then he disappeared back inside.
Beomgyu took a deep breath. He found that he wasn’t as anxious as he had been before. There was still a lingering nervousness, but it had been softened by another feeling. Even the wall of sound that was just beyond the door seemed to have dulled at the back of his mind. He looked at you and you nodded towards the open door.
“My parents are inside. I used them as my excuse to come here.” He caught your clever smile, then felt your hand on his shoulder, and before he knew it you’d raised up onto your toes and your lips brushed his cheek. It was the kiss you’d held back before. “Good luck. But I know you won’t need it,” you said, slipping away through the door before he could react to the tingle on his face.
The prince’s mind was pleasantly blank as he faced the door and the duty ahead of him. It seemed his nerves had been replaced by a buzzing sensation that felt rather like courage, matching the tingling trace of your kiss on his face. Equipped with a smile, he stepped into the room feeling like he was about to give his best speech yet.

Pining Over You
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen
Characters: Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru x GN!Reader
Warnings: None!
Gojo Satoru
In all his days of living, he had never met someone like you. In his 28 years on this planet, he experienced a lot, but somehow, none of them compared to the person whose name melted at the tip of his tongue -- yours, [Surname] [Name]. And he wasn't sure what to do about it.
He was Gojo Satoru. The strongest jujutsu sorcerer, and he always knew that. So why was he getting caught up by a nobody like you?
Well, you weren't exactly a nobody. You were a fellow sorcerer, a grade 1 sorcerer actually. You were quite capable in this society, withholding enough support during missions and ensuring everyone's safety.
Somehow, even though you weren't the strongest sorcerer, like him, everyone always grew more confident and comfortable when you arrived to the scene of the battle.
He wondered how you did that.
He actually hated you at first, annoyed by how bossy and sure you were at your job. But somewhere in the lines of hate, he found himself thinking about you, his interest never once waning. He found himself thinking about your smile, your optimism, and your quiet strength. He would worry when you would not show up for a while after a certain risky mission, and feel his bones itch to go try and save you. Then, he would feel stupid as shit when you do end up showing, safe from harm and carefree as day.
Thus, the cycle repeated.
"What? Are you here to try to tell me to do my job again?" you asked him, standing there in the dark alley to exorcise curses. Your words didn't attack him necessarily -- actually, you seemed to be quite amused, your lips curved into a lopsided smile.
That was the thing. His disdain for you in the beginning was not met. You always greeted him kindly, not at all offended by his petty behavior. Maybe it was because you kept it up professional, drawing this invisible line to stop him. After all, you were the bigger person.
"Now why would I do that? I would never do that to you," he said, scoffing.
"Okay buddy." Your brows raised.
His body moved on its accord. His fingers hovered in the air for a moment, before reaching your [h/c] hair.
"What is it?" you asked, eyes growing wide.
He didn't realize how close he suddenly got to you, your breath intermingling, one and the same. "There was something in your hair."
Your lips were close -- the very same lips he envisioned kissing. Just one lean in and the gap would be closed. His heartbeat pounded in his chest, so loud he could swear you would hear.
No, no, no. He could not let these feelings be known.
He was the strongest sorcerer -- you were a nobody... his nobody.
That was a recipe spelled for disaster.
He pulled away, only wishing to be pulled in by your warmth again. He wished... oh how he wished. What was the point of being the strongest if he couldn't give into his desires? What was the point of it all if he couldn't be embraced by you? There were too many expectations... too many rules... that he never used to mind, but now, all was changed.
"Thank you," you told him, grinning as bright as the sun.
His ears felt hot, so he turned his head away. He wished you didn't grin brightly as such. It was undeserved.
Geto Suguru
The woes of his technique were having to sink to the ocean floor, buried in the mass of curses he was forced to ingest. It was a dark and lonely atmosphere, lack of life and companionship.
And that was when he let it loose, exhausted of the bonds that kept his down as a jujutsu sorcerer.
Because why... must he serve to these monkeys? All they added to this world was the endless mounds of curses. It was disgusting.
But you...
How did you sneak up on him like this? He could not, would not, dare not give into the temptations that you had caused him. What kind of torment were you dealing him with?
You were not a jujutsu sorcerer. You were a mere human, a catalyst for curses. He should hate you. And he would hate you.
The few times he tried to kill you, for the sake of his lifelong dream, he could not. What made you different than any other? So what was stopping him from doing the deed? It was despicable, making him sick of himself, from how weak he was.
"Suguru..." you said, smiling softly, your voice a gentle melody to his ears. Your fingers wove into his long, dark strands, twisting them into one another, into a braid. "Did you have a good day today?"
He nodded slowly, thinking back to the process he made with Yuta. It was getting closer and closer, though not quite there yet. And he was fine with that. He was a patient man. "It's been fine." He glanced your way, imagining the curve of his fingers wrapping around your neck to squeeze the life out of you. Then it flipped like a switch, and suddenly he found himself imagining himself kissing you and cradling you into his arms.
Fuck. Hurling his head away, he clenched his hands so tight his knuckles grew white.
That one fateful day. Where you arrived at his front steps, pleading, begging for a place to stay. You were near homeless, going through it with the loss of your job and home. He should have killed you then and there. But the look in your eyes... they reminded of his... this longing and desperation to escape your doom.
And still, no curse brought upon you, because for some reason, you didn't let the past catch up to you, thankful for each and every day.
You were even thankful to him.
He wished he never took you in, thinking it would make no difference, considering he was going to use you and then kill you.
Because that had left him a dilemma.
The dilemma of wanting you.

When Gojo asks why we won’t just be with him we tell him that he isn’t worth it 😔🫰
He isn’t worth the body or the history… I know a lot of people like to brag about having exes and body’s but that shit is so embarrassing to me 😭 like I feel like a whore because a boy kissed me in like middle school and he was a BOY. Boys are so gross omg-anyway-
Like why would I date you if we’re gonna break up? Get out of my face bro 😔
"....Is that what you became friends with me for? I'm not interested in dating you, Gojo."
Gojo never knew you were the type to reject people like him. He was everything you wanted in a man and he knew it. Money, extroverted, very fine, strong, tall, sexy, intelligent, all of the above. So....why did you say no to his confession? I repeat, HE CONFESSED and you rejected HIM. He couldn't help but accidentally voice his thoughts.
He leans back in surprised and scrunches his eyebrows at your response. "What?" You raise your eyebrows at his answer and continued eating the food he bought you at this expensive cafe that you now loved. ".....What? Never been rejected before?" You laughed at his response and kept eating. He wasn't gonna pressure you into dog shit, he could kiss ass. You did like his qualities. But with how the dating pool is currently, you wouldn't be surprised if he had three bitches lighting his phone up currently. You had zero hope in all men unless they don't use their phones at all and instead told you the worst jokes on planet in hopes of swooning you.
You would rather not date him. He was nice eye candy though. He gains his composure back and leans on the table. "Yeah, I have been, but I felt like we were both interested in each other, you know...?" You nod, understanding what he meant. "Yeah....sorry if it seemed like I was leading you on." He shakes his head, still incredibly butt hurt inside. "No, it's not your fault."
Why did you say no? He wants to ask desperately. Too many questions filled his mind at the possibilities. Were you lesbian and he was too stupid to realize? Was he not your type at all whatsoever? Was he too stuck up like Suguru said? He doesn't know. "Is it okay if I ask what made you say no?"
You shrug and look up in thought. "Well, it's not you, it's just....too much is happening right now. And I mean with everyone. Too many people are love-bombing each other, there's no genuine connection ever, then there's 'situationships', and a looot of people my age don't have patience for long-term relationships and it's just....i feel like- ugh i guess I'll say it. But I feel like you're the perfect person to have all of those qualities. You're very attractive, Satoru, so....I don't know if I'm ready to trust you enough not to put those labels on your head. It's dumb, but yeah. And I do too much with relationships. I put too much time and energy into the person I'm with, and i hate doing that knowing that there are so many people who've just neglected my needs in return. Basically, I love trauma."
Satoru watched you the entire time you spoke, so you found it hard to continue speaking, but you managed to push through. "Fuck them." You roll your eyes and he takes one of your fries, eating them. "I'm serious. I can give you everything you want and need y/n. I wouldn't ask you out if I didn't have a major attraction and connection to you."
You didn't look impressed, but he was determined. "I agree with you. None of the girls I tried to date just wanted me for sex. I know you would treat me better than that. And I would be willing to give you the love and respect you deserve. I get....I don't want to say this, but I get really happy at the thought of being able to provide for you. All I want is you. And it's okay if you don't want me now."
He takes a piece of your cake and eats it without your permission. "I'm willing to wait."
I'm sorry I took forever with this omg. This is the start of many. I might do like 6 more tomorrow. I need sleep.

Protective - Aaron Hotchner
You and Aaron had been secretly dating for months. You had already met Jack and Jess, they really liked you and thought you were the perfect person for Aaron. You spent a lot of time with them both and you loved them both dearly, almost as much as you loved Aaron. You and Aaron agreed to keep the relationship a secret for now becuase of the dangers of your jobs. You both knew that if people knew you were together, it would put you both in danger.
The team was currently in Florida helping the local PD catch a serial killer, you were polite and courteous to all the officers, except one seemed to think that meant you were intrested in him. He always flirted with you, let his hands linger on you for longer than approprotae, squeezing in your shoulders as he walked past you. You meantioned this to Aaron and he promised to keep an eye on him.
Currently you were all sat around in a conference room talking about the case, you chair extremely close to Aaron's, you knees were touching and his hand was on your thigh. The officer slowly kept moving his chair closer to you and kept staring at you, this made you very uncomfortable. You whispered this to Hotch and he switched seats with you to put a barrier in between you and the officer.
You were gathering your documents and didnt notice the officer standing behind you, until he cleared his throat to get your attention. You turned around and politely smiled. You could see Aaron in the doorway watching you carefully to make sure you were safe. You tried to walk around to officer but he stopped you "not too fast" he said while chuckling. "How about me and you go out sometime". You replied saying "No, I have a partner". You walked past him and to Aaron. Aaron guided you out of the room.
At this point Aaron was just getting annoyed at the officer, despite you telling him you werent intrested, he carried on trying to persue you. Aaron wasnt jealous, he trusted you and knew you would never hurt him, he was just annoyed that he wouldn't leave you alone.
You were leant over speaking to Spencer, when you felt someone smack your butt. You knew it wasn't Aaron because he wouldnt do that in public. You quickly spun around and smacked the officer, that caused everyone to look in your directon. Aaron came storming over, you could see the anger in his eyes. He grabbed the officer by his collar and slammed him against the wall. "Leave her alone! I want you off this case. I will be speaking to your commander" Aaron screams at the guy. He then drags him out of the room and the building. When he got back he rushed over to you and pulled you in to a hug, while you sobbed in to his chest.
He let you cry in to his chest, not caring if his shirt will be ruined. He his arms were wrapped around your shoulders, whilst yours were wrapped around his waist. When you pulled away and looked up at him, he smiled softly at you.
"I'm sorry I didn't say anything or do anything sooner" he whispered in to your hair.
"It's okay. It's not your fault" you said.
You looked at him and he leant down softly kissing you. When you both pulled away, you glanced around the room and saw all your team smiling.  Aaron kissed you again and said "I'll be back. I'll speak to his boss" and walked away in the director of the chief's office.
The team rushed up to you asking lots of questions about your relationship. You answered them with a big smile on your face. You were happy and in love with the man you wanted to be with forever.

I wish fans would stop dissecting Buck/Tommy scenes but enjoy them for what they are: flirty banter between two lovers. Oliver stated in an interview he and Tim agreed to keep this relationship on the lighter side, more like a rom-com.
But no people go and dissect it like an alien discovered by NASA in a backyard.
When Tommy throws the line, "God, I hope so," he is nothing but hinting at the age difference, which is, give or take, about 7 years. So what? Seven years is nothing. Still, Tommy refers to it but means it as a joke. And Buck even blushes a little.
I can't remember we've ever seen Buck that flirty and all smiles whenever he and one of his many GFs where together. Can't the pearl clutchers be happy for him because he is finally who he is? Without having to hide a part of his sexuality that he kept buried deep inside before he met Tommy. A side he couldn't even show to Eddie. A side he knew was there but never dared to explore? Tommy came into Buck's life and opened this cage. He understands Buck on a totally different level than Eddie ever could. We see that Eddie has no gaydar. He was also clueless about Tommy being gay. Being so close to Buck, like the tin hats want them to be, he must have realized that Buck isn't only into women but guys as well. "Buddie" lived practically out of each other's pockets. And not once did Eddie ask, "Could it be that you aren't just into girls?" In a serious manner, not as a joke.
How about dissecting Eddie's dating "issues" with the doppelganger of his deceased wife? Does this imply Eddie's into necrophilia? This is ridiculous. It would be only one of their reactions. The nicer one, I guess. But it is no different from their daddy-kink nonsense.
What's wrong with these tin hats who are constantly complaining about LIs in general. No matter if it's Buck or Eddie? Shoving your favorite ship down everybody else's throat is the opposite of being open-minded and tolerant.
If Buddie should ever become canon, they will need a lot of patience. Eddie suffers from PTSD and is mentally unstable. Now, he lost his son. He has so much on his plate already. The last thing he needs right now is Buck coming over him like a force of nature and telling him he loves him. That would be the final straw if you want to see him end up in a loony bin. Eddie has to be on his own for some time to find out what and who he really wants. Something that would have to be stretched at least over a few episodes, if not over a full season. If it should be realistic. It took them 100 episodes to address Buck's bi-sexuality. And we saw hints here and there. We never saw hints of it concerning Eddie. Why do these "fans" think you can turn him bi from one moment to the other? Like Oliver said, it's not what he wanted for his character that Buck is bi, and suddenly, everyone else around him has some sort of sexual awakening. Since when can't a bisexual or gay man can't have a heterosexual bestie?
Also, bashing and harassing an actor for a part he is playing shows how sick these tin hats are. Or do they really think they could scare him off the show with their immature behavior and their unfounded hatred? Such behavior never ended a series character, let alone made a showrunner diverge from his plans and suddenly turn his show into a fan service-only show. Get a life ASAP, you tin hats and spread your toxic behavior among your ilk. It's not our fault you're leading a sad life full of envy and h*te. I am so sorry for you all. Fueled with so much anger must turn you into embittered personalities with no fun and no friends. How many of you opened sock puppet accounts to have at least someone to talk to? Living in an echo chamber can be exhausting at times...

Here I am back with another request, anyway : "Headcanon"
Hazbin gals(all of them if you could, emily included) react to R that likes to follow then around. Reader was just on the couch and maybe Charlie or Lute or anyone had to go elsewhere and R just follows them, no particular reason just that R wants to be near them but not to the point of irritation.
I'm gonna make it for 5 of the ladies so it's not so insanely long BUT if you have any specific ladies you wish to see? You can request again! Hopefully these are good! Half of them I'm still learning to write for still-
Also! Sorry for not writing- it's summer and I've just been incredibly burnt out so been writing once in a while. Also. I didn't see the Emily part until after I wrote this- I'm sorry
Warning(s): slight angst in some parts but mostly fluff, all bur sera has drabbles
Hazbin ladies(charlie, vaggie,Lute, rosie and Sera) x reader: headcanons!
Charlie
By far the most excited about it- her lover(or friend) following her around? She 100% does it back! Like a lost little puppy she adores you by her side no matter what it is she's doing.
Just talking your ear off from the plans she has for the hotel. Future dates. Whatever comes to mind? She tells you excitedly just wanting to see your reaction. Her number one supporters option matters the most to her.
But because of that she gives surprises away.. to often.
"-then! After~ I'm taking you to that lovely bakery-" she went kn and on- walking as you trailed after her like usual. Smiling heartfully. She was doing it again- talking about the plans she had for your date tonight. From the beginjng of the day to now she was a bundle of joy- babbling about things you were sure your not supposed to know.
"-then I'll get on my knee and pull the box out-"
Your grin widen at that comment you heard. Humming you kept quiet no longer listening to safe the surpise. A proposal? Now that's something your more then happy to keep a secret from knowing
When she would babble you kept quiet. Not telling her the stuff you knew. No matter what it was. You knew how she was. How excitable shed get.
She did never find out she gave the proposal away
Vaggie
She's suspicious, as hell over, literally everyone. Outside and INSIDE the hotel. Understandably, so - given you both in hell. Doesn't matter if you're stronger than her. Or what you are
She will NOT. Allow you to wander off without you in her sight. No matter what. Especially since the hotel is a clear hot spot for danger. She'd actually lowkey ENCOURAGE you following her about. Inviting you places or if comes down to it? Following you.
Standing up Vaggie sighed cursing under her breath at yet another sexual comment Angel made. Scowling lowly turning glancing over at you- smiling in approval once you trailed behind her on instinct- which let to her ranting to you on what she encountered
"Do you wanna cuddle?" You spoke up leading her to your shared room watching her slowly relaxing.
Vaggie is a worrier. Even in her sights, she just looks around cautious everyone
To be honest- I think she'd prefer you following her around. Makes her "job" at being your protector so much more easier.
Worried about the what ifs. The when's. But she knows your strong- she's seen it. She just can't help but worry- after all. Your her lover. She can't help herself but worry.
Lute
We see her with Adam(assuming she's around him ALOT) she truly wouldn't be to bothered hanging out with ypu 24/7 cause she does love you and for her? Having you in her sights is better then assuming your fine and healthy
Of course it's not unhealthy - she trusts you'd take care of yourself. Trust that you're capable of saving yourself if it comes down to it. But it means a lot to see you wanting to be with her-
Lute adores it- she won't SAY it but she feels prideful when you wander beside her. Following her everywhere
"So.. where are we going~?" You hummed, snickering at her jolt, ignoring the glare she sent your way, grumbling loudly at you. You were just asleep an hour ago. Now here you are trailing after her as if you didn't just see her a while ago
"..training. come on if your up you can work out."
It's also not like she does the same thing either. Just instinctively trailing you- just anywhere either of you are? The other is certainly close by
Rosie
Honestly like most ladies in the list she may actually prefer it- after all her town is full of cannibals itching to dig into you. Literally-
Doesn't matter if your a lover or not. They'll be tempted or swayed in a way to try and take a bite. But if Rosie is around? They'd never attempt it. Never dare upset her.
Rosie also takes this chance to use this as a tea spilling time. Talk about the latest drama. The rumors- anything and everything the two of you share together no matter what it is.
A laugh escaped you both as you ate your share of the snacks she brought with "-oh darling I wish you saw it! Poor Alastor was covered in the flour~ he was so mad" Rosie laughed covering her mouth with her hand like usual grinning at you before smirking
"Oh~? Now I know that look~ the look of more tea~?"
Nodding, she hummed, sipping her tea before putting it down, "I heard.. from a certain soemone.. the king himself? Lucifer? Did it~ to win the..bet they had"
Sera
Now she's the only one so far on this list that will not let you follow her EVERYWHERE. she is a Seraphim. The highest level itself. The lord himself daughter(I think? May be wrong) so there's places she'd wish you could come but you just can't.
For yours and her safety.
She does not wanna be the next fallen. No matter how she adores you- she loves heaven- she can not commit a crime. Allow you in certain meetings witness things..
But she will allow it sometimes. Especially given her status it may be hard- to hang out with one another.
Sera never worries about your safety. Your in Heaven! The safest place(she has guards tailing you secretly worried about the impure influences that dome angels can have- adam)
Once in your shared home? Your free to follow hwr everywhere she is. It makes her happy seeing you constantly- makes what she's doing to ensure heavens saftey(dispite being not the purest option) so much more worth it.

You held your breath as Bobby gathered the band backstage. Two dozen roadies, stage crew, and security stilled as he looked past the boys and Pam to their support staff, only Charlie and her team were missing, already in place in the booth. You shivered and waited. Jody’s voice echoed behind the bend thanking the crowd and promising a great show from Phantom Traveler to come. Andy slinked around and continued to snap pictures, despite the glare it earned him anytime Bobby caught the lens pointed toward him. The ragtag group buzzed with excitement and you silently prayed that it would go off without a hitch.
Finally, Bobby began to speak, “I know a lot of you are nervous about tonight, ‘bout this tour— hell about this band. But it means a lot that y’all signed on for another round of nonsense with these idjits. It means you believe in them, that you’ve got faith they can pull together and get it done. Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not a time to worry, because ain't no other band that can do what these guys do. It’s a time to celebrate. Let’s get out there and fuckin’ rock’n’roll.”
Lee hooted and people cheered, you couldn’t help but clap and shriek along. Then everyone crowded in for the circle of hands and chanted “Phaaaaaantom TRAV-ler!”
The band and crew maneuvered in the dark, letting the interim instrumentals keep the crowd distracted as they set up. You scurried back to where you had left Bela in the wings, under Tiny’s care.
“Everything alright?” Bela asked out of the side of her mouth, shifting in place as she tried to clock Dean amongst the many moving shapes.
“Aces,” you replied, bouncing on the balls of your feet as the crowd started to clap with an increasing beat.
You spotted Sam and Kevin’s silhouettes high five and then Lee strummed a teaser chord. Walkie talkies crackled around you as the all clear was called. You kept an earpiece in, but without much left for you to do, you turned it to the lowest setting besides mute.
It was go time.
“Bring ‘em up, Charlie,” Bobby prompted over the line and the Forum erupted.
Lights and wavelengths of sound shot off in every direction and Phantom Traveler took off.
You wouldn’t have stopped yourself from screaming bloody murder even if you had remembered you were directly beside your very posh best friend and her security detail.
It was happening. They made it back home.
“Good evening Inglewood!” Dean greeted, pointedly accurate. Plus you could tell he was grinning from where you stood, from just the sway of his head and a glimpse of his profile.
There was no other chit chat, no grand speech thanking them for coming out, it was just the band, the music, and the audience.
They started off with ‘Woman in White’, their first major single and something high energy enough to get people out of their seats. Then on to the B side of their first EP, which was a cult favorite called ‘Playthings’ that featured something affectionately referred to as ‘the beat off’ between Sam and Pam.
But at the time it was written, it was played by Sam and Cas.
Pam did it better.
It was like someone was racing up the stairs or against time itself as the two rhythm setting musicians fought for dominance. The crowd ate it up. And you could tell they both were already dripping sweat by the time the song ended and they tuned it back and finally jumped into their last fateful album.
‘Scarecrow’ was haunted and foreboding, reminiscent of early 90s metal that you knew Dean adored. It was also Cas’ favorite track off that entire album. And Kevin killed the bridge as the keyboard turned into an ancient organ chasing the crows away with the dawn. Charlie even added a cackling Vincent Price at the end that couldn’t be topped.
“How’s everybody doing tonight?!” Lee took the words out of Dean’s mouth, which earned him a kick in the ass. They were having a blast up there and it was infectious.
The crowd roared.
“That’s what I’m talkin’ about!” Dean bellowed. “I hope you don’t mind, but we’d like to bring somebody out for this next number.”
Shrill ruckus pierced the air, they knew what was coming.
“She’s our very dear friend and we just so happened to convince her to tag along with us this tour. You know her, you love her, please— give a very warm welcome to the incomparable Ms. Annie Hawkins!”
Everyone screamed and stomped, watching as the spotlight followed Annie from the farside of the stage towards the standing mics centerstage.
“Oh, she looks amazing,” Bela spoke for the first time since you’d gotten back. And she wasn’t wrong.
“The girls probably had a blast with her in their dressing room,” you tacked on thoughtfully.
“Her top though,” Bela continued. “I want it.”
You chuckled at Bela’s priorities and quickly got sucked back into what was happening barely thirty feet away.
“You sure you’re ready over there?” Annie teased as Dean adjusted his mic after rushing to set down his guitar.
The crowd laughed in unison.
“I’m ready, do you think they’re ready?” Dean asked coyly, gesturing to the crowd.
All around you camera screens glowed and flashed burst through the darkened arena. Concert security lined the stage and guarded the partitioned areas for the crew and band to navigate the area. Until that moment you really hadn’t been able to pull any single response from the cacophony. You hadn’t been trying anyway. But when Annie goaded Dean a cluster of women in the pit got your attention.
“And here I thought you were out here warming them up for me?” Annie teased.
The crowd loved it, but one catty comment made it feel like you and Bela were right there up on stage with them. “Bela needs to get her man before that cougar gets too cozy up there.”
They eyed your little corner below the VIP suspiciously. You missed whatever Dean said in response, instead watching the women glare and Bela adamantly ignore them in equal measure.
But then the song began. A slow and slinking start reminiscent of Springsteen’s Fire. Which you clocked the first time you heard it, but that was just the intro. The lyrics started up as a quick conversation, a compromise even and then they were harmonizing into the chorus.
The band hadn’t done many duets, even with such talented singers in their ranks. It wasn’t their style. But this song felt like it had always existed, it was timeless and familiar and really fucking catchy. Annie beamed at Dean when he slipped closer on stage and they belted out the final lines.
It made you feel like they were performing only for you, for their people. It was honest and intimate, but this wasn’t rehearsal or karaoke and the audience would not be forgotten.
Everyone cheered. Even the judgy bitches that kept watching Bela at your side.
Dean hugged Annie and made sure she got the reception she deserved, egging the crowd on and bowing in homage to her talent.
She rolled her eyes, did a snarky curtsy and waved her way back off stage.
“You guys seem to be digging that one. Maybe we could play some more new stuff for y’all tonight?” Lee asked. “I mean— the album isn’t out yet.”
Naturally, the crowd shouted and begged for more.
Bela turned to whisper to you. “They’re not gonna get in trouble for this are they?”
You shook your head. “They’ve got permission to do a few songs until the album is actually out and then they’ll change up the set list to cover more of the new stuff.”
“Got it.”
“Yeah, bootlegs always exist, but this way they’re building excitement but not giving away the farm.”
“Lee!” Dean admonished playfully.
“What?!” Lee spat back, smirking.
“Sam— tell him.”
Sam shook his head, always stoic on stage.
Dean kept up the ruse. “I don’t know if we should. Pamela?”
Pamela thudded the bass drum and hit the crash.
“Okay! Pammy’s in— Kevo?” Lee kept the momentum going.
And without any warning or time for Kevin to actually respond, they burst into the opening of 'Prophet and Loss'.
“I would kill for a drink—- is there somebody we could send to concessions?” Bela asked midsong. And you looked around, wondering if any of the staff could actually leave their posts without getting in trouble.
You suddenly felt like a bad host. “We’ll get you a box for Vegas. I know this isn’t as fun as it sounds standing for two hours straight.”
“Y/N, I’m fine. Promise.”
“Okay, well I’ll go after the next song. You want anything, Tiny?” you asked your silent companion.
“All good, boss.” He replied and straightened his stance, clasping his hands in front of him.
Kevin silenced the space with the burst of chords at the beginning of his solo, showcasing what Julliard training could do and how rock’n’roll could still be classy as hell. The key changed, turning the mood broken and lamenting as they stumbled into the bridge where Dean pelted out about losing Cas without so much detail.
Dean let the note hang in the air. “'Prophet and Loss', everybody.”
Whistles filled the air, keeping the mood somber but with enough reception to know that small offering was gratefully accepted.
“Thanks— uh, I, we really appreciate being here tonight and being able to share some of the new album with everybody. But we know you wanna hear the stuff you know, too. So we’re gonna hop back to it and have a kick ass night. How’s that sound?” Dean checked in.
The crowd cheered.
“Did you hear something?” Dean asked Lee jokingly.
The crowd got louder.
“I don’t know if they’re up for much more,” Lee taunted back.
You rolled your eyes and turned to Bela. “Okay, I’ll be back, text me if you think of anything besides drinks.”
The crowd continued to take the bait, howling behind you as you made your way out of the off limit areas and up a side stairway towards the general admission cavern-like hallway. For the first time it felt like all day, you exhaled. Your pass flapped against your chest as you strutted quickly towards the concession area, bypassing the VIP lounge because you didn’t want to get distracted by Madison or any of the mid-level suits that might be milling around.
You could have stolen something from the dressing room, but that wouldn’t have taken nearly as long and you needed some time off of Bela duty tonight. Which made you feel guilty as hell. She was your best friend! She didn’t do anything wrong. And yet you were incredibly frustrated with even the thought of her.
So you waited in line, ordered two extremely overpriced and depressingly weak cocktails, and put them on your expense card.
The thing about regret is that it isn’t a one time experience. There might have been a moment in the process of you contriving this scenario for Dean’s redemption where you second or third guessed yourself. But the biting sting of seeing him play happy with Bela online and even in person had come at you in waves.
Regret was bearable if it meant it worked, if Dean could have some peace.
But this wasn’t just regret, it was petulance and jealousy and injustice.
Because Bobby had asked all the way back in the beginning, why couldn’t it have been you playing arm candy? And the fact that people could see what you had tried so hard to bury and ignore plain as day, well, it made you feel incredibly small and even more pathetic.
There was no reason for you to be the one at Dean’s side. But damn did you want to be.
And somehow you had managed to keep that from one of the most important people in your life. So it wasn’t just that Bela was getting a part of Dean that you’d never have. Or parts. You shuttered at the thought of where his mouth had been. It was that your best friend hadn’t even clocked the elephant in the room.
Like she didn’t even know you at all.
Or maybe that was on you too. Maybe you hadn’t been honest with yourself until it was too late. How could you put that blame on her too?
You slammed your drink and got back in line for a replacement, not wanting to return with only Bela’s cup like some kind of maid. You could hear the crowd singing along with Lee on ‘A Reaper’s Offering’, a bluesy cut from their second studio album.
You probably had another two songs before you’d miss anything else new. But you also knew Bela was waiting and the longer the show went on, the more drunk and ballsy random fans could get. You couldn’t leave her with the forever nonplussed Tiny for backup. You smiled at the woman working the bar cart apologetically and ordered another husk of a cocktail.
After another stream of applause, the opening bars of ‘Abandon All Hope’ started and you knew you had to book it. This was Jo’s song, you couldn’t miss it. You never left Dean to get through this one alone. Huffing down the service steps with two drinks in hand in heels was something that you managed only from practice, but you made it in time for the first chorus.
“Oh aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” Bela murmured to her drink before sipping it and wincing. “It’ll do. Took you long enough,” she teased and winked, hip checking you as you struggled to get your breathing under control as you mouthed along with Dean’s words.
“Trapped by your side with no exit, we had to let you go—”
Bela quickly picked up on your shift in mood and reeled in the playfulness, for which you gave her a grateful glance before turning back to try and lock eyes with Dean on stage.
“Defending that night while trying to give comfort, we should have known—”
“To abandon all hope,” you sang out, the last lyric rising up to hover in the air.
Dean turned and glanced in your direction and then looked again once he finally saw you. He nodded and tapped his heart and you returned the gesture, you both kept her safe as you could now. He blew a kiss to the ceiling and bowed.
The crowd continued to echo around you, suffocating yet as distant as thunder.
“Alrighty, folks, we’re gonna take a short break for Sammy to find another shirt and we’ll get you one last sneak peak,” Dean explained. “Kevin? Think you and Pam can keep ‘em busy for me?”
“Aye-aye,” Kevin said and saluted, out of range of his mic stand.
Pam started in with the count and Kevin peeled in down from the upper registers, like he was sliding in from Heaven and crashing a party. The instrumental interlude was a mesmerizing feat of jumping genres and killing time while showcasing just what all each of them could do. But you weren’t even paying attention. Dean made a beeline for the back of the stage and he wound around security until he could find you.
He gripped the ball of your shoulder and leaned in. “I didn’t see you until the end— had me worried, Trouble!”
He had to talk over the crowd, his back firmly towards the nearest wedge of fans.
“I know, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be!”
He stared at you, sweaty and down to a single layer, earpiece still in his left ear.
“You’re killing it up there,” Bela said, making you both stop and blink. Dean grinned and pulled her into a hug, a boyfriend hug, arms tight around her waist so her arms can loop around his neck. She even kicked a leg back for balance.
God was she good.
“You keep an eye on her, okay? She’s gonna need tissues for the next one,” Dean warned playfully down his nose at Bela about you.
She rolled her eyes. “You are a menace on the emotional, aren’t you?”
“All in a day’s work,” Dean shrugged and set her back on her own two feet.
The crackle of a nearby walkie made Dean look around for whoever was sent to find him. “Sam’s looking for you,” an unimpressed lackey of Benny’s pointed out from ten feet away.
“Yeah, I bet he is. Alright, well, see you ladies later— Tiny,” Dean stepped back nodding. He soon disappeared only to hop up on the wing of the stage, grabbing an acoustic and sliding it on.
After the chaos of the crowd dissipated from Pamela’s and Kevin’s antics, Dean and Sam walked on stage and sat down on a pair of stools that had been left out for them. They didn’t look at each other or even the crowd and you knew in that moment that Dean hadn’t been lying. You weren’t gonna survive the next song live with a dry eye.
‘Brothers Keeper’ nearly took down the entire venue.
Cell phones and lighters blazed in the dark, enraptured space as Dean and Sam sang about each other, about family, and about forgiveness.

PART THREE OF MY GRANDEST GAME CHARACTER PREDICTIONS!!
——————————————————————————
3: knox landry (tw, sexual assault)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• closest to in the game: brady daniels
• love interest: im not too sure but im just gonna hc that he gets a boyfriend/girlfriend outside of the game
• person they dislike the most in the game: lyra kane
• personality traits: hardworking, reliable, selfless, trustworthy, creative, strong, intelligent, and independent
• negative personality traits: cruel, destructive at times, irritable, petty, hesitant to trusting people, good at keeping others away, and is mean as a coping mechanism (💔)
HIS CHARACTER OVERALL HEADCANONS:
• he’s bisexual
• does boxing as a hobby, as well as art
• his father died when he was just a few months old and he has a step dad and mom
• was sexually assaulted when he was 12 by his uncle 3 separate times. even now, he can still feel the ghosts of his uncles hands on him. 💔
• has trouble sleeping most nights because he wakes up from the memory of being touched
• he pushes others away because of it too. he’s never really had a lot of friends since the incident or could never keep a lot because he kept pushing them away and being mean as a coping mechanism
• he’s 5’10 and 23 years old with hair that looks black but is actually really dark brown, and hazel eyes
• is very harsh on himself with his art but can draw literally anyone or anything at any given time. he’s defo one of those people who can, in fact, draw zendaya (iykyk)
• tells everyone that his favourite artist is arctic monkeys, when in reality it’s laufey 💀
• he has a twin sister who is older by like 2 minutes but he’s always acted like the older brother
• very attractive and has a crazy good jawline (and an eyebrow slitttt)
• he has an irish accent that’s not too strong, but when he’s anxious or pissed out of his mind you can’t understand a word that’s coming out of his mouth
• the reason why his accent is more watered down is because he moved from ireland to texas with his mom, sister, and stepdad after the incident to avoid his family who gaslit him into believing that his uncle didn’t sa him
• although it’s been hard, his family has always been supportive, and immediately fought for him once they found out about his uncle touching him
HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OTHER CONTESTANTS:
• lyra kane: lyra and knox are both people who can be cold and stubborn, so because of that they didn’t mix well when they first met. knox immediately saw her as an enemy and lyra was returning the favour. it wasn’t until hawthorne chutes and ladders where they really started seeing each other as people instead of just contestants that they were supposed to beat in the game. once they do get over their rivalry though, they end up being best friends and knox sees lyra as a little sister. he teaches her more efficient ways to fight and punch, and she helps the old grandpa with tech and computers. 💀 they’re very close and when grayson and her started dating, knox immediately went out of his way to piss him off just to be petty. 😪
• odette morales: knox honestly sees odette and lyra as a package deal, so whenever he hangs out with odette he has to bring along lyra too. at first odette was kind of unsure of knox because of how lyra felt towards him, but once they started warming up to each other knox and her became better friends. he loves how kind and soft spoken she is, and wishes that he was like that instead of being so “cold hearted” and “destructive” 💔 he defo taught her how to box too, (as she had no idea how to) and now she’s pretty good at it.
• brady daniels: brady and him became close immediately, and although knox would never and will never tell him, he had the teensiest crush on him when he came to the island. but once that crush dissolved into friendship and he got over it, they have the best banter and are constantly getting into dumb arguments over dumb things. although bradys way taller, knox can fight way better and has kicked his ass before.
• rohan: rohans british, so naturally, knox doesn’t like him. JKJK, but fr they get into so many arguments about the whole “british vs irish” thing, and their banter is a lot like michelle and james’ banter from derry girls. (if you’ve watched it, you know) knox sees him as a dumb cocky little brother, and finds his crush on savannah so cute. also, they definitely box together ALL. THE. TIME. like you CAN’T convince me otherwise.
• savannnah grayson: he was definitely cold to her once he found out about the whole “game master being her brother” thing, and held it against her. but he never tried to outright accuse her because he knew she was young and he was not about to start beefing with an 18 year old girl when he’s 5 years older 💀💀 they do warm up to each other eventually though, and although they don’t hang out a lot, when they do they have a lot of meaningful talks. also, like everybody else, he taught her how to box because “she should know how to defend herself in a situation where she’d need to”. (now savannah threatens grayson with the fact that she can fight whenever he pisses her off)
• gigi grayson: even though knox didn’t really trust her at first because of the same reason he didn’t like savannah (*cough cough* because she’s a nepo baby *cough cough* who said that?) he never tried to show it because he loves how bubbly and cheerful she is and doesn’t want to do anything to turn her sour. (because he knows what that’s like and wants to protect her) he definitely doesn’t like mattias and thinks he’s not good enough for her though 💀 gigi loves to paint with him even though her paintings are… not that great, and his are van gogh level good because they have a really good time. <3
