Baghera :(((((
THOUGHTS ON LUCIE FROM OPQ
Sweetie, queen, she was trying so hard but the dice rolls were just not on her side. Made for great angst but still ;((
Lucie, at the beginning, quarrels with Amy, calling her a brat and spoiled because she stole her water. It was boiling and this little kid just runs in front of her and steals the last of the water, like what!!! Rude!
So, lucie starts complaining to Amy and her dad. But she's not being exactly rude? She's telling the dad that he needs to teach her daughter manners and to be respectful to their elders, something I think we were all taught as a child. Right now, Lucie doesn't care about Amy at all. She's just some random bratty kid that she'll never see again OK??? Why can't she be upset?
But it's not the last time they see eachother, not even close. They get trapped together, in a very dangerous, scary environment.
Lucie is a free-spirited character. She is smart and logical, but she is curious, she likes to adventure, experience and learn new things. It's probably how she met Diego; they are similar, twin flames in a way. Diego seems to be the more timid one of the duo, but will always support and follow lucie. Lucie is a leader; she knows her self worth, her importance and she knows she is smart.
She takes the lead in investigating during most of the tasks. When she sees Amy again, the situation is too chaotic to really process her being there, but she's not just going to leave her out to die so they all go in the control room together. They don't really interact much I think, but hey, they have a mutual dislike of Benito so that's cool! Amy also almost ends up saving them too by the end of the first episode, but ends up breaking down just before they are safe. Luckily everyone was fine, Jeffrey was pushing it a little but I swear he's probably a munchkin with his epic, mysterious backstory and his power of friendship (RiP wallace) ig. So yeah everyone is fine.
Amy is still crying by the time they return to Mikhail and get new clothes. I think this is the part when Lucie truly starts to care about Amy, or at least holds herself responsible for her. This is a lot for an adult to bear, let alone a little kid who still hasn't even processed her fathers DEATH, and who knows very little about their situation because no one has the time to explain. Amy is lost and scared and sad and confused and angry and upset and so very lost-
I think Lucie empathised with her in some way. Lucie is a free spirit. She lived travelling, she lived freedom. I imagine her childhood to be similar to Amys (before that entire trauma-fest). I think they all in a way see a part of themselves in Amy, who symbolises humanity in a way.
Freedom. Passion. Peace. Joy. Recklessness.
They cannot afford to have any of that here. Lucie wants to protect any of it that is left. She wants to leave too, to preserve her own humanity and life.
When Amy leaves Mikhail, Lucie is the only one rushing out to help her. She goes immediately, not a second delay. Amy has also started to trust her, so she plays along and is quiet no matter how confused she is. Lucie dies for Amy
Lucies last thoughts are not how she is happy that the others lived. She is regretful, she is mournful, because she wanted to survive with them. She wanted to leave with them. She wanted to survive.
She has lost everything she has stood for.
She can no longer travel, or explore, or theorise, or learn new things. She is bitter that she is going to die, yet despite that she chose NOT to sacrifice Amy for herself (unlike a CERTAIN SOMEONE *cough cough* Carol *cough cough*). That speaks volumes to me.
Lucie values herself, yet she chose Amy, a kid she met only a few hours ago and disliked at first. She faced torture. She didn't even get to die quickly, no, she was in horrible, excruciating pain before she blacked out and died.
I can't put it into words correctly how it makes me feel, and how I think of Lucie. Lucie did not want to sacrifice herself. She did not want to be a hero. She wanted to live, desperately. Yet in that final moment, where she could've lived, she chose to save someone else instead. I was fully expecting her to abandon Amy at the final moment. Yet she didn't....
And THIS, LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND OTHERS, is why we stan the QUEEN, BAGHERA HOLY SHIT.
*cough* yeah I have a lot of feelings about this. I might come back to it layer if I can find the words but i doubt it. Rip Lucie, the absolute GOAT of opq (I would say MVP too but that titles reserved for Jeffrey, I mean did you see him during the final part????? Holy shit) but yeah that

man thinking about ranlayclaire has given me a great idea for an UF au:
Clive, whilst researching everything he can about the professor in preparation to play the role of his apprentice, stumbles upon an article about one Randall Ascot, archaeology enthusiast and man of abundant wealth. He decides that Randall is an excellent candidate to kidnap into the future; having him would be a useful bargaining chip should things go wrong with the professor, and if nothing else his riches and status could prove useful to Clive’s plans.
What Clive doesn’t count on is Claire. Conducting her own investigation of Future London’s research facility, she stumbles upon Randall, a man she’s never met but knows all too well. She recognises him from the faded photographs that hung in Hershel’s flat, and from tipsy, late night conversations about the past, regret, and lost friends (read: loves).
Randall, who’d been biding his time whilst he thought up an escape plan, is more than happy to go with her - he may not know her in return but anyone close with Hershel is someone he could trust (it also helps that she seems to have a keen eye for puzzles). With his sharp mind, Randall is already wise to the fact that this Future London is not all that it seems, so the duo form an unlikely partnership to solve its mysteries.
The two form a strong bond, sharing in troubled pasts, even joking about their situations as the ‘undead lovers of Hershel Layton’. Randall’s heart aches for Claire knowing that she won’t get the same second chance at life he’d been given. He promises to do everything he can to help settle things so that she can return to her time knowing that the future is safer.
When the professor and the rest of the gang eventually meet up with the duo they are of course surprised to find that Randall is also in Future London. They don’t reveal everything they know for risk of jeopardising the investigation, cautious that ‘Future Luke’ is still accompanying them. Randall is somewhat surprised when Claire introduces herself as ‘Celeste’ however. He understands her wanting to avoid putting Hershel through any more pain, but encourages her to be honest with him so that they can enjoy their remaining time together. When they find the time to meet with the professor alone they reveal everything to him, and the three begin working on a plan to defeat both Dimitri and Clive, and ensure the safety of both Londons.
For the rest of their adventure together the three grow even closer. For the professor it’s a chance to reconnect with his two favourite people. In the case of Randall it’s the most time they’ve spent together since the events at Monte D’Or, and with the complicated feelings from the Masked Gentleman incident given time to heal they fall seamlessly back into their old friendship. Claire is the perfect addition to their dynamic; Hershel is of course already head over heels for her, and she and Randall get on like they’d been friends for years. He supposes it makes sense given their many similarities, both bold and confident, intelligent and inquisitive, shared terrible sense of humour and no, Hershel Layton does not have a type. He’s not sure what to make of what the three of them have, especially given the strange circumstances, but he knows it puts a warmth in his chest he’d been lacking for a while. If only they had more time to see what could happen.
When Claire’s inevitable departure finally arrives it happens much the same, though this time an additional heart is broken in the fallout. Randall, much like Hershel, had grown to love Claire deeply and had cherished the time they’d all spent together, however brief and unusual it was. She kisses each of them in turn before joining their hands, happy that the future is secure and that her boys will have each other. As she walks away, Hershel cradles his top hat to his chest with a pained smile and tears in his eyes. Randall simply stays there beside him, clinging tightly to the hand still entwined with his.

One of a Kind Vamp Chapter 3: Your Walls have Crumbled Down Around me but I’m still Here
Summery
Years after Principal Sturn's defeat, Rory and Mabel were summoned to the Kingdom Hearts universe to help aid his old friend's during the upcoming Keyblade War. However, an old mistake still hangs in the air haunting the two old friends.
Or what really happened to give Dakota her lifelong lists of regrets when she was in love with Rory.
This is some of the biggest Mabrorkota lore dump taking place five years after Whitechapel Adventures and takes place during Kingdom Hearts 3. I know I missed the rest of Rory week but I still have plans to finish this fic.
Rory was never the type of vamp to regret the past let alone dwell upon it, looking too far into it would just remind him how much has changed, how much he and his friends have grown since High School and how much he’s left behind.
However, if there was one thing he would change, it would be the mistake he made five years ago. He really doesn’t know what he was thinking, agreeing to “date” two little kids. Yes, they were hopelessly obsessed with him, and Rory had a feeling that year would be the same. Especially Dakota who lost control of herself easily leading to make outs they should not have been having. But he couldn’t fault her; he should've been firmer. Elaborate on how inappropriate these actions were, how she was too young and had to control herself before she caused irreversible damage.
But in the end, it wasn’t her who caused it, it was him. He shouldn’t have been so stupid but when Dakota and Mabel proposed the threesome with those pleading eyes and love-sick smiles, he couldn’t say no. Even though he knew it was so wrong and they were still too young for him. And yet despite those glaring issues he still agreed.
In the end he led them both on. In order to keep them at a safe distance, while they weren’t really dating it still felt real to Mabel and Dakota which led to a harsh reality check and emotional damage once the love sick high came crashing down. Once Rory heard Dakota no longer wanted to see him again, he knew he messed up big time.
And yet here he was five years later in a universe that only existed in fiction, Dakota summoned both him and Mabel to fight in the upcoming war against Organization 13 and their leader who was her arch nemesis. The blond vampire never expected a second chance or living in The Castle That Never Was; he had to admit this place was pretty awesome.
“Hey, Rory,” Mabel greeted as he left the dining hall,
“Hey, Mabes, how are you liking our new home?”
“Oh, this place is awesome. I see why Dakota and the gang keep coming back, have you seen Marge and Louie? Ohh, they’re so sweet, and Louie is so small and cute!” She gushed,
“Yeah, I met them.” He giggled; it was so good to have Mabel by his side again. “It’s amazing how they came back once the organization was revived. You’d think they’d cut their losses and bail.” He replied, “I mean the two don’t even get paid.”
“Hey, someone's got to keep an eye on them.” Mabel refuted, when the duo noticed Dakota walking down the hall with her new boyfriend Ventus. The two were chatting and laughing not even noticing the other two,
Rory felt his stomach turn, feeling the guilt rise in his throat, he couldn’t help but wonder if he declined their offer all those years ago would he have stayed close to the two.
“Hey, Rory I know that look and it wasn’t your fault,” Mabel spoke seriously “You and I both know it was ours. Trust me when I say you didn’t groom us, we’re the ones at fault who took advantage of your kindness.You were only doing what you thought was right and… I’ll always be sorry for that. .” She frowned, feeling guilty about her actions, “Talk to her, you both need closure. Plus, you have some things to clear up. She deserves that at the very least.”
“I know Mabel,” He frowned, rubbing his arm, “And I will, for both our sakes.”
Rory found Dakota on the castle roof while the world was trapped in eternal night; the light from the heart shaped moon granted him enough light to see the now sixteen-year old’s features.
“Kingdom Hearts. ” Rory remembered, or more accurately a convincing replica of the fated whatever Kingdom Hearts is considered. Plot device? Ultimate power? Rory didn’t know it’s been too long since he even thought of these games. But here he was, living through it, he was now in her doman her true home, in a way it was exhilarating to be on another high stakes adventure; he hasn’t been on one since Principle Stern nearly whipped out the vampire population. And that was years ago the last year they’d see each other. Before Dakota and her friends would move away.
And the last time he’d see that love struck smile before the gravity of her actions would come to light.
But they were older now Dakota was taller, her hair was still back length, and was wearing a blue blouse with a purple bow attached, a purple skirt with a lighter purple star with white smaller ones circling around it. And black shoes with purple leg warmers.
She truly grew into a fine young lady, and he was resembling his fourteen-year-old self, in fact his pre vamp self. Same short blond hair, his old blue jacket he wore the night he was bit, heck he was even wearing his old glasses he hasn’t needed them since he turned.
“Ya know I always thought you were cuter with glasses on.” Dakota once said, that must’ve been it when she summoned him there must’ve been some subconscious memory that caused him to take the form of his younger self however, he didn’t seem younger than the girl he hasn’t seen since she was eleven; the two fit seamlessly together like two puzzle pieces that lost themselves for years only to be found under the washer or the couch.
“Well, don’t just stand there.” Dakota spoke, knowing Rory was there, “Come on bud you know I don’t bite.” She smiled reaching her hand out, to most that’d mean an open invitation, but to Rory he didn’t miss the look of unease in her eyes and the quickening pace of her heartbeat. It seemed the young girl was still at war with herself about the whole mess. If this was 2011 Ethan, Benny, or even Erica would’ve told him his quote-on-quote girlfriend was hurting. However, he wasn’t that carefree boy anymore he was no longer oblivious to his surroundings and Dakota wasn’t the obsessive ten-year-old who made out with him in the blood truck during a moment of weakness or behind the lockers near the teacher's lounge.
Still Rory walked up to his childhood friend hoping to clear the air and give Dakota the closure he should’ve given her years ago.
“Look Dakota I’m–
“No, I'm sorry.” She interrupted much to Rory’s confusion, “I know what I did all those years ago was wrong, I know I should have never asked you to date us. Even though you made it clear we weren’t actually dating it felt so real to me. I’m sorry I made out with you without proper consent, I’m sorry for forcing myself onto you and breaking my promise to control myself better and more importantly I’m sorry for taking advantage of you. I can only imagine the amount of rumors that came from our quote on quote relationship.” She apologized adding air quotes for the words date and relationship,
“I accept your apology, but really it was my fault. I should have been firmer with you. I didn't mean to lead you on into thinking we were something we weren’t. I’m sorry Dakota, but if it makes you feel better. I never loved you or Mabel as anything other than friends.”
Dakota sighed resting her head in her hands, “Rory, why did we do this to ourselves?”
“I don’t know.” he replied feeling just as bad, “I thought I was doing the right thing, I thought giving into you and Mabel’s desires would be enough to calm you down or at least get your crush on me under control but all it did was fuel your delusions; it was so stupid of me and I should’ve told you the truth outright even if it meant breaking your heart.”
“Honestly I don’t even think it’d matter.” The other laughed pitifully, “I didn’t listen to Emily when she told me to get a grip, I doubt I would have listened to you. I was too lovesick to even listen to any kind of reason. In a way, us drifting apart like this; was inevitable.”
“But it doesn’t have to end this way.” The blonde spoke, “Sure we made our mistakes, but that was years ago. We’ve grown a lot since then. Heck you’re in an actual relationship now.” He pointed out feeling very happy his old friend was able to move on and get into something healthier. “You didn’t pull the same things with Ven like you did with me, right?”
Dakota burst out laughing, “No of course not, trust me I learned my lesson if anything I was terrified those old feelings would resurface, I was worried about scaring Ven away. Thankfully, my obsessive feelings never reared their ugly head.”
“Good,” Rory nodded, if there was one thing, he wanted Dakota to grow out of it was that. “I’m happy for you.”
“Thanks Rory, you know I really did miss you. I just needed time to come to terms with everything,”
“I understand, to be far I think it was a good thing we separated. As much as I hated myself for leading you and Mabel on, it was also healthy having you move away.”
“You’re right, even though I’ll always have my regrets. I think I’m ready to start over and become allies again. I mean you wield a wicked sword.”
“Well, I learned from the best.” He winked, making her blush. “So, does this mean we’re cool?” He turned to her,
“Yeah,” Dakota smiled, ready for a new beginning as she reached out her hand, “We’re cool.”

Slippy and Slimey: Journey to Lake Swimmington
This is the start of a new series I want to start called Slippy and Slimey. A series of slice of life series in a similar vein to the Frog and Toad books about a pair of roomates going on adventures or just vibing. Slippy (he/they), an optimistic bubble boy who's joyous and appreciates the simple things in life, and Slimey (he/him), a more grounded slime guy who, while much grumpier and quicker to anger than Slippy, has a huge heart and loves and cares for his roommate. Also they're gay ok enjoy!
Slippy woke up on a sunny Saturday morning. He jumped out of bed and rushed to their friend Slimey's room. "Slimey Slimey wake up! It's lake day Slimey! We're going to Lake Swimmington!". Slimey slowly woke up and grumbled to his old friend "Alright alright, give me a minute". Slippy could not settle down, "But I've been waiting to show you this lake for a million years now!", Slimey chuckled, "It has not been that long". "Yeah but... it's been pretty dang close", Slippy rebutted. Slimey yawned, "Ok, let me just pack some food and water for the journey". Slippy yelled, "But the bus Slimey! We can't miss the bus!". Slimey began to get annoyed, "That bus doesn't get here for an hour. We'll make it with plenty of time to spare". Slimey finished packing and the two made their way to the bus station. Slippy kept fidgeting while waiting for the bus. "Oh I just can't wait Slimey, I simply can't!". After seemingly forever, the bus arrived. The two boarded. Slimey immediately sat down however Slippy couldn't sustain himself. As the bus began moving, they would not keep quiet about Lake Swimmington. He went on and on to other bus patrons, waxing philosophically about their beloved lake, much to the annoyance of those around him, including the bus driver. Slimey began to notice her distain and approached Slippy, "Hey pal, maybe cool it a bit with all this lake talk" but Slippy was too caught up in their excitement to notice, "And reason number four-hundred-and-forty-three why Lake Swimmington is the greatest lake of all time is-" "ENOUGH", shouted the bus driver, "You two, off the bus now!". Slimey attempted to negotiate, "Oh no... he'll quiet down I promise". "I don't care what you promise, you're disturbing everybody here, and worst of all me!" She proceeded to kick the duo off of the bus". As the two got off, Slimey turned to Slippy, "Sorry bud, maybe another-" "No worries!", Slimey pulled out a map, "we'll just get there on foot, we're already halfway there after all". Slippy sighed, "Alright, we'll get there". The two walked for miles. It was agonizing. Hours and hours of pure treachery as the duo slowly got closer to their destination. "Hey Slippy, can you pass me the water?" Slippy looked in the canister, "Sorry, we're all out". "All out of water? Well... how close are we? We've gotta be getting there soon". Slimey then noticed Slippy getting nervous, "Slippy? We are almost there right?", Slippy then confessed, "Actually... I lied before. NOW we're about halfway there. I just wanted you to see it today". Slimey was furious, "What is it about that lake? Why are you so obsessed with it? And why would you lie to me about almost being there? Just to see it today, why today?". Slippy sat down and began crying. Slimey started regretting his frustration. "I'm sorry, it's really dumb. It's just... my mom... she loved that lake so much. It was her favorite place. I never got why as a kid but now that she's gone, it's my favorite too. And I wanted to see it today because it's the anniversary of when I lost her. I know it sounds weird but that lake is like... the last piece of her I still have. But I shouldn't have been so annoying about it. I'm sorry". Slimey went to give Slippy a hug. Slippy smiled, "Thanks for understa-" all of a sudden they found himself right on Slimey's back. "Slimey, what are you doing?" but Slimey stayed silent as he carried his friend all the way to Lake Swimmington. He ran for miles and miles, never stopping for a second. By the time they finally arrived he found himself out of breath. Slippy got off and hugged their friend, "Thanks buddy". The two stared at the lake. It wasn't the prettiest lake out there, but it carried a humble charm that Slimey could instantly see the appeal in. The two swam for hours. By the time they were finished it was night time. The two stared at the stars as Slippy told stories about his mom. It was a magical night. As the two began to go to sleep, Slippy realized something, "Hey Slimey", "Yeah bud", "How are we gonna get home tomorrow?". Slimey opened his eyes. "Uh oh".

My precious kitty cats...and a random lady for some spice
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well would you look at that, some kitties :3 All of which are from a book series a friend and I am currently working on! (Also first draft tho lads so it’ll take a while)
The first one is of one of the protagonists, Abricoska. A curious lass with a love for adventure, storytelling and culture, her divided loyalties between her family and her cat society plague her. Her name is a combination of the Ukrainian word for apricot with the ending “ka” for a cute feminine name.
The second one is of two background characters from a different society than Abricoska, Carraigín and Rím, Irish for moss and rhyme respectively. They’re a tragic couple who were once loving cat husband and wife and proud parents of two successful daughters with two more kittens on the way.
Rím was quite a poetic tom and once he had realized that his childish crush for Carraigín had blossomed into admiration and genuine love for the molly, he began courting her and they shortly became an item (although I imagine Carraigín was the one to confess, quite bashfully lmao). His strategic and diplomatic abilities tho made him quite the rival for the dictator leader who ended up getting him involved in a battle with a rivalling cat society, where he tragically died. He never met his younger kittens nor his granddaughter that his eldest who give birth to.
Carraigín is a loving mother who, in spite of her misfortunes, continues to work hard to provide for her family and cat society. She is quite the protective mama bear there tho and isn’t one to be afraid to get her paws dirty.
Also, the lyrics come from the song Go Tonight from The Mad Ones musical. Go and check it out, it’s a class song!
The third and final picture features two other protagonists from yet another cat society, Dris and Silín (Bramble and Cherry as Gaeilge). A chaotic sibling duo with Dris as the elegant, seemingly calm and responsible younger sister who often chides her sassy, rebellious and often lazy older brother. The two of them both share a lot of hidden anger and regrets and care deeply for one another despite their political differences. However, the roles and expectations put on them by their cat society, with Dris in a soldier-type role while Silín is the cat doctor and spiritual guide, often threaten to sever their bond.
Also we got a random lady in there for spice. I have no idea why I drew her, I put pencil to paper and boom, she exists.

You love me? | Lucifer Morningstar x reader
Fandom: Lucifer (Netflix)
Request: “ I was wondering if I could make a request where the reader is Lucifers best friend and can always cheer him up. One day (maybe after something with his brother happens) he is really upset and no one can communicate with him so the reader comes over worried sick. I thought that maybe they could have a moment after but that’s entirely up to you if you would like to write this! If you are uncomfortable or you just don’t want to write this let me know! “
Genre: a good chuck on angst but fluffy ending
Warings: nothing besides some arguing
A/N: This turned out very differently than what I was initially going for but I hope it’s somewhat good
~~~
You were more than aware of how everyone saw Lucifer: eccentric, sarcastic, over the top, at times an insufferable ass. You couldn't exactly disagree with any of those, but somehow you and the handsome gentleman got to be an inseparable duo.
You met him at Lux while out with your friends. His good looks caught the eye of mostly everyone inside the club, you included. He was attractive but you were stubborn. You weren't going to go out of your way just to talk to him, no way! Plus, you weren't exactly looking for a relationship or anything like that, so what was the point? You were only there for the drinks and the dancing, except you ended up being quite disappointed in the drinks department. The barman was slow and alcohol was a lot more expensive than you were anticipating.
You were waiting for your drink when he approached you. He was trying to get away from a girl that was freaking him out. He made a comment about being “so irresistible” and you replied with a joke about the crappy alcohol. One thing led to another and before you knew it, you had been chatting with him for hours!! Your friends had gotten sick of waiting around for you to be done with your new pal, and left early, not that you minded much. You knew they were probably under the impression that you were trying to get in bed with him and they were mostly excited about how well it was going for you, so they weren’t mad and you were enjoying yourself.
After that night, you and Lucifer became more or less inseparable. Almost every night was now spent either at Lux or in his penthouse, chatting and drinking liquor. Lucifer would visit you at work every now and then, when a case he was working on would get on his nerves. He would sometimes drag you to the station to “keep him company”. You were, in other words, his moral support.
This position came with a lot of wild adventures and incredible stories, but also with a lot of difficulties. Lucifer wasn’t the easiest to talk to when his emotions got the best of him. He had a tendency to shut down and avoid real life at all costs. You’ve been with him through that many times before and you were convinced that there was nothing he could do to shock you anymore.
Late in the evening, you got a call from Mazikeen. She was fuming and screaming over the phone about how Lucifer was in a mood and he went off on her for no reason and that you better get to him and figure it out because she was over it. You’ve received many phone calls like this, so you weren’t alarmed but as soon as you entered the penthouse and saw the mess that was covering every square inch of the place, you began to question your judgement.
“Lucifer?” you asked but he didn’t reply. You called out to him a couple more times, until you finally found him tightly tucked in bed.
“Luci?”
“Yeah…” his voice was muffled by the blanket and his eyes were shut
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing at all darling, I was just going to sleep”
“It’s 8 pm”
“Yeah, well, tough day at the station today. Not easy solving crime, you know?” “Oh really?” you questioned, to which Lucifer nodded slightly “Funny thing, I talked to Decker not too long ago actually. She hasn’t seen you all day.” Lucifer’s eyes stayed shut
“Don’t lie to me Lucifer” finally, you got his attention. He stood up with an exhausted sigh and rested against the bed frame
“What happened?”
“It’s just...Amenadiel…”
“What about him?”
“Always so curious, aren’t we Y/N?” he got up from the bed and headed towards the bar in the main area with you following close behind
“I’m trying to help you” “I don’t recall ever asking for it” his tone was harsh, but you’ve heard worse from him
“That never stopped me before”
“It never does any good either and yet here you are”
“Yes it does, you always tell me I’m a huge help” Lucifer frowned at your words, knowing full well you were right. He poured himself a drink, choosing to stay silent “I can’t help you unless you tell me what’s bothering you”
“It’s a fight between brothers, just like many others we’ve had before and we’ll keep on having for the rest of eternity probably”
“You’re really bothered by it”
“I am not!” his tone was firm. For just a second his eyes flashed red.
“It’s ok to feel upset”
“I am not upset!” he screamed, his face all of a sudden red and hot.  His devil face. Blood red eyes piercing your soul, a threatening smile displayed his sharp, yellow teeth . You’ve seen this side of him before. You could say you were even somewhat accustomed to it, except you've never seen him do this. Use it as a weapon against you. To threaten you, to push you away. That, more than anything, was what scared you. You’ve seen him so angry at times and yet not once did he change out of rage. You stepped back, almost tripping and falling back in the bed but Lucifer reached out and caught your hand. He held it softly, as if you were made of sand. As if you would slip from his grip any second
“Y/N?” when you looked back up to him, his face was back to normal “Y/N, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to, I mean, I didn’t realise I-”
“I’m just trying to be a good friend Lucifer”
“I know you are”
“I didn’t deserve that Lucifer” his eyes were full of sorrow and regret. You could see tears threatening to spill and you almost felt this man crumble in the palm of your hand. You pulled him into a tight hug and as soon as your arms went around his waist, Lucifer nuzzled his face in your hair and began to sob
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you, I didn’t mean to do that…”
“It’s ok Luci”
“You didn’t deserve that”
“Yes but you’ve apologised, I forgive you. Everything is ok” Lucifer pulled away slightly, just enough so he could look into your eyes without leaving your embrace. His face was red and stained with tears.
“How do you do that? How can you always forgive so easily?” he asked as you wiped away some of the tears with the sleeve of your shirt
“Well, with you it’s quite easy. I care too much about you to stay mad.” Lucifer rolled his eyes, as if he didn’t believe you “Plus, I know you. You are kind and caring and would never do anything to hurt me. You have a hard time managing your anger sometimes, sure, but you are working to improve.” You cupped his face with your left hand and Lucifer immediately leaned into your touch
“I’m doing my best.” he said
“And I’ll be here for you. No matter how much you dislike it sometimes!” you giggled, but than Lucifer whispered something in your palm
“I love you.”
“I love you too, Luci.”
“No, I love you Y/N” he took a step back as he said that, the closeness between you two suddenly too much to bear. You looked at him with glossy eyes, scanning his features as if you weren’t sure you heard him right and each look made Lucifer want to crawl back into the pits of hell because he was not worthy of you and he knew that.
“I’m sorry, it wasn’t the right moment, I should have just-”
“Lucifer” your voice was warm and welcoming which only made the devil feel worse. You were trying to reject him nicely, he just knew it!
“Yes?”
“You love me?” when he didn’t reply, you took a step closer, asking him again “Are you in love with me Lucifer?”
“Yes” he was crumbling once again under you. He was the devil and he’s known no weakness but somehow, someway, you managed to bring him to his knees with a single glance and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Did I get the devil to fall in love with me?”
“Perhaps..” you looked him in the eyes. You were once again standing close to him and Lucifer felt weak
“Good” you said, before grabbing onto the collar of his shirt and placing your lips on his, kissing him hard. Lucifer didn’t realise at first what you did, boldness wasn’t exactly your thing, but then, almost naturally, his arms went around your waist, pulling you into him. He felt his worries and tears fade away with every second that he felt your lips on his. He swore in that moment that no matter what, he would never ever push you away again. You were way too important!
When Someone Flirts With You!
Hello! Little disclaimer: This is the same format used on two different blogs, they’re both mine (if you’ve seen them). This is just a really fun thing to do, so I always try to do them for new fandoms I join and whatnot. I hope you like it!
Sidenote: Normally, I have banners just cuz they look nice but I’m not sure if I wanna make em for this blog, yet.
Includes: Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, Wen Ning, Lan Xichen, Jiang Cheng, Xiao Xingchen, Song Lan, and Xue Yang.
Come one, come all! See what happens when someone flirts with you in front of your mans!
Wei Wuxian:
One day, you were at a tavern waiting for your boyfriend to get back. He had left for only ten minutes and someone had already swooped in to bother you. No matter what you said or did, they just wouldn’t back off.
Like people don’t know who he is-
Normally, he won’t jump in immediately. He’ll stay back and just let you handle it if you can. If you can’t handle it, just look at him. He’ll know the second you make eye contact.
He prefers to stand next to the person and joins them. Of course, they’re uncomfortable and ask what he’s trying to do and he’ll respond with something like “flirting with my partner, they’re cute, aren’t they?”
Yeah, that usually doesn’t work. Unless people KNOW him and are scared of him, they would just brush him off.
He doesn’t like that. Not one bit, especially when you’re getting more uncomfortable by the minute.
He’ll try to do the same thing again, but the SECOND someone tries to touch you, he slaps them with his flute. No, he ain’t playing it, he’s swinging it. In one whole second, he’s in front of you and the person is most likely on the floor. 10/10 would recommend.
“Don’t ever touch my (y/n) ever again, ok?”
Lan Wangji:
You followed Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji on their adventures often and always tried to stay close to the duo. The ONE TIME you decided to go off on your own, you found yourself cornered. Thankfully, both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were just around the corner.
Oh dear.
He glares. He just idles at glaring at everyone. So even before you ask for help, he’ll just glare at the person. But if you need help, feel free to call him.
He’ll immediately stand between you and the offender. He’s not scared, he’s not arguing, just glaring silently.
50/50, he’s actually pretty scary so most people are freaked out.
In the unlikely event it doesn’t work out and they continue to push you, he’s fighting. But it’s Lan Wangji, he doesn’t have to try. It’s just… smack and they’re down. 10/10 would recommend.
“...”
Wen Ning:
During his adventures with Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, Wen Ning often tends to go off by himself. You always followed him, trying to keep as close as you could. There was one day where you were hungry, so you went to buy some snacks. Wen Ning didn’t come with you and you definitely regretted not asking him to join you. Someone had cornered you and they just wouldn’t let you leave so you had to call out to your boyfriend.
Even as fierce corpse, he’s pretty hesitant at times. So normally, he’d just wait it out to see what you do, mainly because he doesn’t want to be THAT boyfriend... you know the one who just does too much.
If you need help, just call him or look at him. He’ll be in front of you in a second, hiding you behind his form. He’ll at first just ask someone to leave you alone.
0/10. Never works, he just LOOKS nervous. So people will either try to push him out of the way or just roll their eyes and ignore him, while still trying to talk to you.
Wen Ning doesn’t care if people ignore him, it’s not the first time. What does really bother him though is when people can’t take a hint. He hates when you’re uncomfortable, so if someone is making you feel like that ON PURPOSE, he hates it.
The thing is, they can’t shove Wen Ning out of the way. He’s actually pretty strong and so the second they try to (especially after they ignore him), he just grabs their arm and twists it, holding them in place until they apologize to you.
8/10, usually very effective but if it still doesn’t work, he’ll just throw them out of the establishment. He warned them TWICE, he ain’t doing it again.
“Are you ok? I’m glad... I was worried I was too late.”
Lan Xichen:
He had invited you to an event with him, one where you did your best to stay close to him. You’d already seen some weird stares, ones that made you very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Lan Xichen was called away for one second, but that’s all it took for someone to immediately come bother you.
He’s very observant, so he’s always got his eye on you. He worries more than he likes to admit, only because he doesn’t want to overdo it. You’re an adult, who can handle themselves.
However, if you do need help, just call for him. He’s on his way. He’ll immediately stop them by grabbing their arm and pulling them away, claiming they’re making you uncomfortable.
50/50 and it depends on whether they know him. Most don’t so they’ll kinda brush him off, which he doesn’t appreciate.
He’ll try again, not wanting to resort to violence. There are times where people just quit, finding him bothersome, but there’s always ONE person who wants to try again.
One person even tried to touch you once, roughly grabbing your arm and yanking you away from Lan Xichen.
Oh boy, he had his sword out faster than you’d ever seen. The person immediately let you go and you hid behind your boyfriend.
“Do not touch people without their permission.”
Jiang Cheng:
You were with Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Jiang Cheng on one of their numerous adventures. They had left for maybe thirty minutes and you were keeping busy doing your own thing, when you felt a hand grab you. You thought it was Jiang Cheng, but boy were you wrong. However, your boyfriend wasn’t too far away.
He is PROTECTIVE.
The last thing he wants to see on your face is discomfort, especially when it’s caused by some creep.
He’s in front of you in a second and he’s usually pretty aggressive. The last thing you want to see is him fight, so you often just grab his arm and hide behind him.
Just that alone, usually makes people back off. It’s kinda obvious you’re already his. BUT. There’s that one fool…
They often move closer to you, ignoring Jiang Cheg, and ask if you’d like to “upgrade” to someone better. Before you can even answer, they’re on the floor.
“Yeah, like you’re any better. Come on, (y/n).”
Xiao Xingchen:
Normally, you’re glued to the hip with Xiao Xingchen, since you two were so close. There was one occasion where you stepped away from him to gather some flowers. He wanted to talk to someone about something, nothing you often concerned yourself with. That’s when someone took their chance and swooped in.
So he can’t see you, but he can hear you. All you gotta do is call for him and he’ll be at your side faster than the speed of light. He’s not immediately jumping to fight and often prefers to talk things out, instead.
0/10. It never works. Not one time has that ever worked. People just don’t back down, especially those who tend to bother you.
They usually just shove Xiao Xingchen aside, thinking he’s just a blind man who can’t do anything.
This is one of those things that just… bothers him. Xiao Xingchen can’t understand why, but when someone bothers you, it really makes him upset.
He’ll once again try to stop the offender through a more pacifistic way, but there was one time when someone roughly grabbed your hand and yanked you away from Xiao Xingchen. The squeal that left your mouth was something that just made him draw his sword.
It really was an accident. No one was hurt, but the person was scared away. 69/10 would recommend.
“Are you alright? Good, I’m sorry they hurt you.”
Song Lan:
You had often followed him and Xiao Xingchen on their adventures, doing your best to stick close to them both. One day you saw a flower that intrigued you more than it should have. So you walked over to it and you were gone for maybe ten seconds, but when you turned around, you couldn’t see Song Lan or Xiao Xingchen, but you did see another person blocking your path. He found you pretty quickly.
He’s usually always on high alert. He’s extremely protective of you, sometimes surprising himself.
He’ll usually step him, keeping you hidden behind himself so the other person can’t see you. If someone is holding your wrist, he’ll use his sheathed sword to separate you two. He mentions you’re uncomfortable and tells the person to leave.
2/10, it’ll work sometimes but rarely. Usually offenders shrug him off and just pretend as if he’s not there. Even if you hide behind him, they’ll walk around and try to get at you that way. If they touch you, it’s almost as if they touched Song Lan and he really doesn’t like that.
The second they try to grab you, they’re on the floor unconscious. They don’t stand a chance.
10/10 works every time. They’re not unconscious EVERY SINGLE TIME it’d about 90% of the time.
“Let’s go. No they’re fine, don’t worry about them.”
Xue Yang:
Xue Yang is obviously protective and he doesn’t like it when people touch/bother you. You belong to him, nobody else. There was one day you strayed too far and got in some trouble with 4 people.
LMAO
Xue Yang usually laughs when he steps in, telling everyone they should leave before he kills them.
Of course people don’t listen. Usually, they just brush him aside and go back to “impressing” you.
Xue Yang warns people ONCE. One warning and that’s IT. If they don’t listen, their funeral. Literally.
The worst occasion was when someone shoved Xue Yang away and pushed you against the wall. You screamed and felt something touching your chest. When you looked down, it was Xue Yang sword poking you which had been stabbed through the offender’s chest.
10/10 they’re literally dead?
“I warned you about touching what belongs to me.”
"What does it take to be queen?" - 3
Tumblr media
King Thirain (Lost Ark) x Reader
Summary:
A simple, innocent question, really. You were just doing a favour for one of the townsfolk, you had no idea how much it would affect your friendship with king Thirain. How it would crack open the geode of admiration you held for each other, and show the glittering insides.
Chapter 3 - The Dawn of a New Day
It had started growing long before it was noticed. Much like a small flower grows from a hidden seed to a colourful flower, basking in the sunlight, strong feelings of affection had sprung roots into his heart and a dark rose-red had coloured his cheeks at the realization.
He had been surprised from the first meeting. A priest and an adventurer suddenly appearing to help the troops, his initial wariness had been beat to the ground much like the assassins that were after his life had been. The surprise had quickly been forgotten however, as more pressing matters appeared at every second. It had been easy to lose himself in work again, forcing all his concentration onto the fight against Scherrit, despite the brief moments of doubt that he could not stop. It was in one of those exact situations, that the adventurer had once again surprised him.
“Are you trying to make me feel better?” He chuckled. The adventurer had nodded their head furiously in return.
To lead his people in battle, it was of outmost importance to be their pillar. A strong, unwavering leader, whose orders’ they could trust. Although he had many friends alongside him, he had not wished to burden them with his troubles – they all had enough to worry about already. Opening up to the adventurer had been a spontaneous action in a vulnerable moment. And yet, he was never given the chance to regret it. The small act of understanding and compassion had only been the first of many. Both father Armen and the adventurer had proven themselves to be important assets in the fight for justice. He felt a strong trust towards both of them, how they both assisted the people around them and were willing to put in the effort to see the work get done. A great weight had been lifted off his shoulders. With the duo on his side, many obstacles that had seen so daunting were overcome with relative ease. With each passing day, the journey to the throne became so much shorter, as land was reclaimed and citizens were freed.
Of course, it wasn’t a painless journey. Despite how strong the adventurer was, and how hard he himself and his men fought, they always lost someone. Sometimes, they were too late to arrive, and civilians were killed, and other times, it was the soldiers. Each death weighed heavily on his mind, but none hit as hard as the old mans – Sir Bernards’ death.
It was then that his doubt gripped him tightly, how could he ever hope to win this, when he lost everyone around him, and Vanguard still did not shine. As the light had faded from Sir Bernards’ eyes, so had all of Thirains’ courage. They needed to continue advancing, but in the dark, damp room of Medrick Monastery, he found himself utterly lost.
The notes of the Song of Valor drifted into nothingness, as the adventurer put down their instrument. That song… It was the old mans’ favourite.
“Thank you. You’re always around to help me out.”
The grief wasn’t gone. It would linger till Thirain had the time to let it out and experience it fully. For now, he knew what he needed to do. And he knew you would stay at his side through it all.
It was soon after that Vanguard finally shone in his hands. The fight with the demon had been something he didn’t expect, and yet it paled in comparison to the fight for Luterra Castle. This was the final fight. If they lost there, he had no doubt that they would be annihilated, and Scherrit would continue to sit on the throne.
Everyone had been tense, and it was understandable. Even the most seasoned warriors recognized the risks, what was at stake if they failed. He had looked to you, and seen the determination in your eyes, as you made your way to one of the battletowers. And then, you were out of sight. It somehow only came as a minor surprise to him, that you had been the one to take out the mages blocking the door with their magic, which had allowed his troops to enter the castle grounds. From there, the two of you had made your way towards the castle, and then separated momentarily, as you stayed behind to fight the guardian.
And then suddenly, the battle was won. And he could finally breathe.
To think that Scherrit had sold his soul for demonic power – and even then, you were able to take him down, while he himself could not even rise from the floor. Truth to be told, Thirain had seen Scherrit as his duty to take care of. He was the true heir to the throne after all, the task of defeating the unworthy ruler fell on his shoulders, and yet. It was impossible for him to feel any negative emotions, as Scherrit’s body fell to the floor, the adventurer standing victorious over the corpse.
Even when your victory was interrupted by the demons making another appearance, you handled them just as well, despite already being wounded from your fight against Scherrit.
After Armen had taken care of his and your wounds, the three of you had made your way outside the castle. The fight was over, but the tragedy was not.
“How can we call this a victory? Every drop of blood spilled here belongs to a Luterran.”
While he had been lost in his thoughts, you had not hesitated in your actions. He soon found you standing before him, holding out a banner out to him, wordlessly imploring him to take it.
His fingers had brushed against yours, as you handed over the banner to him. His eyes had found yours then, and he had felt the words wanting to spill out – how grateful and relieved he was, and how would he ever be able to repay you?
But then you had looked at him, really looked at him, and he felt the sounds dying in his throat. The feeling in your eyes had mirrored his own, relief and gratefulness. It was then that it became an undeniable fact that you had wanted this has much as he had – to see the end of a tyrannical ruler and the suffering that had reigned alongside him. And that you were just as honoured to have fought by his side, as he was to fight by yours.
Sitting on the throne had never been his greatest wish. Power and fame did not motivate him, as it had Scherrit and many other foolish people. If he freely could have chosen his path in life, he would have wanted to be an adventurer. To see the world and all its wonders was a fascinating thought that he rarely had time to indulge himself with. He wondered where you would go from here, when you eventually had to leave. Nights by the campfire had been filled with stories about your journey, and tales from your home country. The prince had been delighted as he listened to your words. How your eyes would light up upon recalling certain events, or the mischievous smile upon your lips, as you told him of the pranks you had pulled as a kid. He had almost felt embarrassed to talk about his own childhood, but you had asked him with such an earnest face, he really didn’t feel like he had a choice. In the end, it had one of the best nights in recent memory, as he let the rest of the world fade away in those precious hours.
In that moment, where his glowed, worn hands were touching yours, a hard-earned moment of peace where he could finally truly appreciate how kind your smile was, a small green bud broke through the dirt beneath your feet.
Grasping the metal pole of the banner in his hands, he turned to face the city of Luterra Castle, his subjects, soldiers and civilians looking to him as he spoke. A ball of grief and relief twisted in his chest, as his eyes flitted over the citizens mourning the loss of their loved ones, clinging to the corpses of the soldiers recently departed as they wailed. No more. He would never let this happen again, the dark skies would eventually clear for the sun to shine. The kingdom would grieve, and so would he, but someday, they would be happy again.
The small bud twisted in the dirt, as the first rays of sunlight broke through.
“Behold, the light you have restored.”
Roots spreading further.
“The dawn of a new day!”
Looking over his shoulder, he finally let himself return the smile you had given him.
Petals unfolding, greedily reaching for the warmth of the sun.
Hello, this is a writing request. I like the idea of Tommy being a reckless giant. It wasn’t a problem for him when he was alone sense it was the only way he knew how to interact with the world. It was only when he was found by his small family with SBI and bee duo he realized it might be a problem as he kept hurting them on accident. It also doesn’t help that some of them hide they’re bruises from him to spare his feelings.
Hello? I've got an order for?... Angst?... I think- I'm kidding! My lovely Anon, your delivery is served. Enjoy your fluffy angst.
Warnings: Descriptions of injury (That's about it!)
Words: 1.1k
Tommy had always been alone in the forest, always isolated with the only company being the twinkles of the stars and the fellow creatures around. Tommy never hated it though, for some reason he didn’t know, the loneliness never bothered him.
That all changed within a short period though, as of now he had 2 best friends, a father figure and 2 brother figures. He was wandering through the forest one day, the usual routine when he found the 5 hybrids.
Originally, he was going to leave them, but he saw some of them had a lot of injuries, 2 of them were limping and he noticed that one of the family members had wings and one of the wings seemed out of place, broken.
They were most probably hunted by humans, he could understand from his standpoint, in his fair share of living there, he has had the occasional run-in with humans. He hated humans.
He carefully approached the pack, one seemed fish like with fins for ears and scales covering his arms, brown hair, and eyes, most likely a siren, he limped to be limping as blood was flowing out of his leg. The second was built like a brute and had boar attributes with pink hair and red eyes.
The third is a tall ender hybrid and the other is unknown, monochrome coloured with heterochromia. The fourth was a goat hybrid, brown hair, and green eyes, he was the most injured of the bunch with the ender hybrid carrying him.
Then was what seemed like the eldest, he held large grey wings, with his wing out of place, he reminded Tommy much of himself in appearance with blonde hair and blue eyes.
After a bit of convincing, he was told that they were being hunted down by humans. That convinced everything in his head that he had to help them, so he managed to get the family to follow him. With Tommy’s help, they managed to stay away from the humans and tend to their wounds. And stayed with Tommy for a while.
“Stayed” is more like decided to live with him and not leave since they grew attached to the boy, they’ve practically moved in and are like family to Tommy now. They’ve been around for a couple of months now and he couldn’t be more grateful for his tiny family.
They brought so much more joy and excitement to his once boring life; he didn’t know what he’d do without them. He loves Wilbur’s songs he sings to them at night, Techno trying to fight against his hand with all his might, Phil telling tales of when he was younger and told stories of their past.
And went out exploring with Tubbo and Ranboo! They always had their fair number of adventures!
That doesn’t mean there wasn’t their fair share of problems with it though, since Tommy’s been isolated from society for so long, he doesn’t quite get the idea of being careful sometimes and can be a bit reckless and accident-prone.
This has led to a fair number of accidents with his family, he’s maybe squeezed them a little too much or dropping them from a small distance.
Tommy’s noticed his family trying to hide things from him lately, especially when there was an accident, when he asked about it they always said “Oh yeah, I’m fine mate. No worries!” or “What the fuck you on about gremlin?! I’m completely fine!”. He’s noticed them limp when they think they’re out of sight. It breaks his heart to see them like that, especially when he’s the cause.
He’s tried to be more careful but with little success, it always fails. And that’s why he was sitting by the cliff, to be alone with his thoughts. The cliff was barely a climb for him, he wouldn’t hurt himself if he fell, but his family sure would.
He’s had a lot of thoughts recently, he’s become paranoid to an extent and doesn’t know what to do or how to handle it, he wants to talk to his family about it but how do you even bring up that kind of topic?
He sighed and held his hair in a stressed matter, every thought bringing him even more upset. He cringed as he felt tears stream down his face. He just curled in on himself, unable to focus on the night sky like he used to.
He laid there for a while, that was until he heard the fluttering of wings and change in the wind. He didn’t dare move in case he’d hurt him. He felt a weight on his shoulder and moved over towards the crook of his neck.
The figure placed his hands on his neck and began to soothe it gently, a way of comfort. He carefully moved his arm to wipe at his eyes, not wanting his father to become soaked with tears.
“You alright, mate?”. He made a ‘nuh-uh’ noise. Phil sighed, “anything you wanna talk about? Anything I can do to help?”. There was a moment of silence between the two until Tommy couldn’t stand the tension. “Phil how can even stand to be around me?! All I do is hurt you and the others?!”. Phil was a bit shocked by the outburst, but not because of the volume because he was worried about what Tommy said.
“Mate…”, “Please just leave me alone…”. “Right! -“He stood up and grabbed Tommy’s cheek, causing Tommy to stare at him. “No more grouching! It’s not your fault! I get that you’re worried and you care about us mate, but accidents are going to happen when there’s a large difference in size.
it's inevitable. But we’ll help you work through it okay? We all care about you so much, Toms, please. I hate seeing you upset.”. Phil’s expression showed it all worry and sadness. It all in all made Tommy regret his outburst, he hated to worry the man with his problems.
“Phil- I-…”. He couldn’t even get the words out until, “Shh, it’s alright. I’m here”. He leaned his head towards Phil, to which he embraced it, using his wings to give him the biggest hug possible, the two sat there alone for a while.
Eventually, the two of them headed, back much to Tommy’s reluctance, he carried Phil in his hands and surprisingly, he did it without failure. And when he returned, he came back to find an entire family worried about him, even fucking Techno was worried
(he could tell by the boar pacing back and forth for them to get back). Phil explained what had happened and let’s just say, the family decided along the lines of ‘Alright! It’s cuddle time with Tom! Drop everything else! Focus on the boy!”.
And so, they all laid in their respective places, Phil and Techno on his shoulders, leaning into his warmth and Wilbur, Tubbo and Ranboo cradled to his chest. And from then on, they worked it out and now he rarely dropped his family.
Hanzo Hisashi X Innocent! Reader
Thank you EzraPFoxglove01for requesting this adorable thing! I sorta changed a lot you asked for by making it go into depth, and it ended up being the longest story I've ever written lol. So I'm definitely gonna add a shorter, more cutesy version of this story soon.
Change her outfit all you wish; it doesn't have a big part in the story at all. Though due to where she lives, it sorta makes sense for traditional Japanese wear to be her attire. And this is the kimono I have in mind, but change whatever :D To be honest, it makes sense to change the look to be more suitable for fighting while still maintaining an innocent, feminine character.
Tumblr media
Word Count: 6733
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hay....ya!" A feminine voice yelled out as she kicked a large hole into a tree. She didn't really have an specific training area so she often kicked and punched holes into tough looking trees, which proven to be as affective as training dummies and whatnot. She pulled away from the tree with a large smile on her innocent features.
She held her arms up to her chest with clinched fists. "Alright! Just 113 more to go," she reminded herself as she prepared for another kick. Yet just before she kicked the tree, she heard rustling in the bushes surrounding her.
She paused and looked around her everywhere. The wind began to blow which made it hard to hear whoever or whatever move again as the wind blew the all the bushes. She made a pouty face and walked over to where she heard the noise the first time. She had a bag that wrapped around her colorful kimono that contained kunai knives, and she pulled one out just in case. To be honest, with her small, airhead, and pouty form, she was the least intimidating person most people could ever see. And her small, F/C kimono with cherry trees on it added onto it.
The wind slowed down for a second and in that time, rustling in the bushes was heard again, where it did last time. "Huh?" She hummed as she slowly and cautiously opened up the bushes. "W-Who's there!" She yelled nervously as she parted the bushes completely. "Ahhh!" She screamed as she stepped back, tripping on whatever she stepped on. A baby bunny jumped on top of her from the bushes, it's guinea pig looking face staring boldly at her. Fuck it was frightening for a bunny to withhold so much toughness and boldness.
She whined as she pulled the bunny of her, causing it to run away quickly. She stumbled to her feet, barely managing to maintain her own balance for a moment. She watched the bunny hop away into the forest as she calmed her nerves. Once it disappeared, she sighed and opened her bag to put away her knife. Yet the sound of a voice behind her caused her to throw it towards the voice with perfect aim and fast speed. Yet as she turned around, she saw her kunai knife had been frozen but it wasn't frozen quick enough to prevent the one and only Kuai Liang from behind cut a little.
"Good aim," the Sub Zero complimented in his deep and husky voice, a smirk on his face. He pulled the kunai from the ice prison it was it and tossed it towards Y/N. Y/N's innocent E/C eyes widened as she gasped.
"Liang!" She ran towards him to hug him– but no, we can't have that without her tripping halfway. "Oof!" She hit the ground hard and whined as she slowly stood back up. She had cut her face on a rock but that wasn't good enough for her to not want to hug him just as hard. So once she stood up, she lunged at him and hugged him so incredibly hard. "I missed you! How are you!"
Kuai chuckled as he softly wrapped his arms around her. "I see you haven't changed one bit, dear friend." It's true that the two of them are close friends; although they don't have any fundamental qualities in common, they managed to meet one day and their opposite personalities captured each other's interest. And so here they are, together after departed months back. Right after Sub Zero and others were free from Quan Chi, the two got close again and only had a couple weeks to get close again before Kuai had to leave. Finally, months later, they're together again!
"I've been just fine, L/N. How about yourself?" He asked as he pulled his arms down. As expected, Y/N didn't let go and continued to sway back and forth.
"Oh, I've been good! Sorta lonely, yeah but I met this one guy! He leads an entire clan that let me in!" Y/N sweet voice called out in reply, her eyes twinkling. "I don't see him often but we've been talking a lot more recently. He's really nice...like a big, strong, teddy bear, hehe," she giggled as her legs went limp. Kuai chuckled at her dramatic description and pat her head; pushing the person she's talking about to the back of his mind. She got back on her feet again and pulled away from him. "Sooooo...do you have any combat stories to share? An adventure?"
Kuai shook his head. "Unfortunately nothing to tell now, but soon," he spoke as he looked up at the bright blue sky. It was maybe 8 in the morning  at the time. Y/N held her arms in front of her as she swayed back and forth as her head tilted in confusion.
"Okay...Oh! There's flowers growing around here and I want you to see it. They're so pretty- and pink," She emphasized as she took Kuai's hand and pulled him to a nearby pond. The trees surrounding the pond were waves with red and pink flowers ground from them. It's hard to tell, but in the distant was a village. And jn that village was, drum roll please, Hanzo Hizashi himself. As the two friends spoke about the scenery, Hanzo had just gotten ready for a day of training.
As he stepped outside, he took a deep breath and examined the place surrounding him. The birds were singing, the soft winds brushing past the trees and plants, the warm sun and clear skies. The sound of children playing can be heard from the background. It was pure bliss really. Yet even so, he had an uneasy feeling wash over him. The feeling that there could possibly be an unwanted visitor.
Hanzo walked closed the door behind him and walked out. He took his time going from his home to a place a little outside of the village; a more personalized dojo. It contained dummies and targets designed for his spear and fire. The little dojo was little ways across a pond near the village so that's where he was headed.
"And that's why that's my favorite color," Y/N said as she finished her story. Kuai Liang, to be honest, wasn't paying attention to her at all and simply nodded. She smiled at his politeness to at least pretend to acknowledge what she's saying; Y/N knows she can get really immature sometimes and right now really isn't her best moment. "Eheh, so what do you want to do?"
Kuai looked over at her with a soft smile on his features. He really was such a peaceful man at heart. "I believe I saw a few rare ducks fly into the pond. Would you like to go see them?"
"You're not going anywhere."
Y/N sharply turned her head towards the pissed looking man walking towards the duo and gasped. She stood up, saying, "Kuai, this is the man that let me into his village! Hey Hanzo, this is Kuai‐"
"He already knows who I am," Kuai cut her off coldly and stood up. "Hanzo, I mean you no harm; had I known this was your territory, I would not have come." Hanzo pulled a sword from his back and held it up in a firey fists once he got close to them. Y/N stared idlely at them with growing anxiety. The two picked up on that quickly, making Kuai speak up again before Hanzo could. "The girl does not know of our rivalry. Don't punish her for my mistake, Hanzo‐"
"Do no speak to me like that. Leave at once!" Hanzo may be alive, but that doesn't mean he can't revert his voice back to his hellish Scorpion one. Kuai took a few steps back before turning around and disappearing. Hanzo and Y/N watched the whole way through in complete silence. Once Kuai was gone, they silence broke.
"I–"
"And you," Hanzo walked up to her and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt. "Exactly what made you think bringing a guest without permission was anywhere near exceptable? You endanger every one of us at this village that way." Y/N could feel his fire-hot breath against her as he spoke. A shiver fell down her spine as looked him right in the eye. She didn't respond, but rather bow her head. Hanzo scoffed, flames igniting from his fist that began to burn her clothes, making her whimper beneath him. She felt the flames heating up her neck, which made her whimper more as the pain wasn't something she was exposed to often. "Part of me wants to kill you right now. You are very lucky to have caught me in a better light."
Hanzo let go of her, stepping away. Y/N bowed her full body lowly, hands to her knees. "I'm deeply sorry sir, I really am. I promise I will never bring another guest again. I knew not of Kuai and your's relationship and if I had known when I met him in the woods a little bit ago, I would have got him to leave. It was foolish of me to have not stayed in the village and possibly risks a bloody situation. For that, I am sorry." As Y/N finished, she heard nothing but the sound of a sword being put away.
"As long as this never happens again, L/N," he spoke coldly. "I forgive you. You may continue what you were doing before he arrived here."
"Thank you so much, sir!" Y/N called out happily as she stood up straight with a smile on her face. "I promise you won't regret it!" Hanzo remained quiet and simply glanced down instead. A more calm and positive feeling took over his previous anger quickly, leaving behind a little bit of confusion. Y/N took a few steps back over to where that tree she was kicking earlier was before Hanzo spoke up again.
"I apologize for being so harsh, as well. You said you met you here; was this planned?" He asked her as he his fists were undone. Y/N shook her head when she turned back towards him. Hanzo examined her face for a moment before sighing, then a smile grew on his face. "Very well. I appreciate your honesty. Actually, would you care to join me for tea later? As leader of this clan, it feels right for me to know all my people, whether they are a weary traveler or blood."
"Of course I would," she said softly. "What time?"
"Tomorrow at dawn."
"So be it." And with that, Hanzo began to walk towards his dojo and Y/N walked towards her special tree. The two of them had that tea on their minds as they practiced whatever it is they were practicing. How would it turn out? Would Y/N innocent immaturity get her in trouble? Would Hanzo appear too serious? Will they make up and gain trust? Maybe something else? We'll see in the next paragraph.
Time flies by quickly when you're having a good time, and for Hanzo, he was quite happy about the thought of getting to know Y/N more. And also to learn more of her relations with Kuai. As for Y/N, she was nervous as all hell since she knows she can be a handful sometimes. To be honest, a simple deep breath was able to calm her down and bring the adult side out of her. So here she was now, looking at herself in the mirror of her guest cabin and taking deep breaths to calm her nerves.
"You got this Y/N," she told herself as she took her final deep breath. The kimono she was wearing was different as it was longer and above the wrists, meaning she was unmarried. It still had a pretty design on it, with the colors overall being F/C, pink, yellow, and blue. The had her H/C hair up in a bun with two strands falling over her shoulders. She had a pin that kept her hair up with a beautiful flower attached to it. To contribute to her Japanese asthetic, she had a folded fan that was black with red cherry trees designs in it in her hand.
She smiled at herself in the mirror one more time before she turned to face the door. She slid open the door to the guest home and put on her shoes before walking outside. She closed the door and prepared to head off the selected location. On the other hand, Hanzo was sure to be formal as well.
He wore a montsuki, which is a formal black kimono worn over a white under-kimono and hakama, which are traditional Japanese trousers. It was common for samurais to wear this underneath their armor, so it suited him well. After all, he was both ninja and samurai; he kept his hair in a man manbun as well. He was very good at maintaining a formal way of speaking and acting, yet he knew Y/N isn't all that. Someone as free spirited and naive really isn't all that capable of it, in his mind.
He was sitting down in a chabudai; one of those short legged tables that have cushions to sit on your knees on rather than to sit on chairs. At the moment, in another room of his lonely home, was a kettle that was boiling water. Authoress is not a Japanese fanatic who knows Japanese and is basing these designs of real Samurai and Wife dolls by their bed, I swear. It was perhaps halfway done by the time he heard a voice call from the outside of the front door; "Hello, it's Y/N. May I come in?"
Hanzo smiled softly to himself as he stood up and walked over to the door, sliding it open. To say he was shocked to see the free spirited girl in such a good-mannered attire was an understatement. "You look lovely tonight," he stated as he looked Y/N head to toe. On Y/N's side, she noticeably blushed and gave him a sweet look.
"You look lovely as well, truly."
Hanzo raised a brow and stepped aside for Y/N to step inside. And rather than her normal fast walk with swaying arms side to side, she slowly walked in with her hands held together in front of her. "I haven't yet seen this side of you, Miss L/N. I am a proper kind of person so don't think I won't hold it against you if you act unmannerly," he teased as Y/N giggled to herself and took her shoes off at the front door.
"I thought that maybe I should act a bit more, I guess, fancy in order to match you. As long as you don't believe in the whole women are beneath us bigger men and shouldn't talk unless spoken to thing, then this shouldn't be too hard, hehehe," Y/N said as she was lead to the chabudai by Hanzo. She sat down on her knees on side and he on the other.
"Of course I would not act on such a thing. We are all human with equal rights," Hanzo replied as he sat his hands in his lap. His looked down at Y/N'a hands, which were on the table, before shooting her a look that told her that she was doing something wrong. Y/N hummed in confusion before gasping lightly. She put her hands in her lap and smiled innocently, creating a chuckle from Hanzo.
Come to think of it, the hone hasn't yet been described. It's easy to imagine the paper and wood that made up the walls and doors, and the warm light that shun over the two people. The carvings on the wood above them and around them, the large pot with a bonsai in it in the corner of the room. The little wooden seats with drawers distilled in them built into the walls of the home. The wooden tables with traditional statues and little plants in pots across the home. The sword holder near the front door, the mats across the floor to give the unique taste. In the kitchen had built in furnaces where people would burn a fire in the wholes on the bottom and put cooking appliances and kyūsus on top of it. If you don't want to imagine that, here's something help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Have you ever studied Japanese arts? Surely you must have had some experience in a place like this, or perhaps a friend to lecture you on what to do," Hanzo explained his thought process as he looked interestingly at the smaller girl.
"Actually, I had Kuai teach me a lot about Chinese culture. But when I met a swordsman named Kenshi, I learned more of Japanese tradition. I may not be the best, but I tried to use my knowledge of both cultures to act as good as possible! Um, I mean," she paused as her face lit up red. "To act as good as possible." She but the inside of her lip nervously as she grew more and more embarrassed of her voice level as she spoke. Hanzo chuckled.
"I'm glad I invited you here. You are very knowledgeable it seems. Plus quite entertaining," he complimented. The kyūsu began to steam loudly, meaning it was finished. Hanzo glanced over to the kitchen.
"Heh, I wouldn't say knowledgeable," Y/N replied, "but thank you." Hanzo stood up, nodding his head towards her as he walked put of the room.
"I apologize but the tea must be attended to. I will be back in a few moments," Hanzo explained before he disappeared behind a wall. Y/N nodded in understandment and began to fight with her hair, kimono ends, fingers, and whatever else she could once he walked out. When Hanzo walked into the kitchen, he felt heat rise to his face. He leaned onto a little table with his hand on it to keep his steady and his other hand over his chest. Oh kami, he thought, she gets cuter each time I see her. Whether she's trying to be like me but failing miserably or being her bubbly self does not matter; she is perfect.
He did his best to calm his nerves before grabbing the kettle from the furnace and grabbing a kyūsu, an appliance for making tea, and slowly pouring hot water into it. He made a kind of sweet green tea, one that many foreigners don't know about, called Sencha. It has to be made with the coolest kind of hot water, basically, otherwise it will turn bitter. He made sure the watch it carefully for about half a minute before grabbing two cups and pouring the tea. He then picked up the two cups and headed back to the chabudai. Yet before he got to the room, he paused.
A feminine voice sung a soft song as she waited for Hanzo to return. Hanzo felt his cheeks heat up again and his chest felt warm. He could recall this feeling but from where he first felt it is unknown to him. The ready may be able to assume that he was thinking of his first love, his wife, and how he felt when he fell in love with her. But that idea hadn't even crossed his mind as he felt there was no way he could ever feel such an extreme emotion towards anyone else. And marriage isn't even a question since she isn't from the clan. He took a deep breath before walking back into the room.
Y/N stopped singing and she smiled widely as she saw him. "Hey Hanzo! Or, um, sorry, haha. The tea smells very nice," she complimented as she gripped the sides of the cup with her little fingers. Yeah, there was definitely a way he could feel such an extreme emotions towards anyone else. Hanzo sat down on his knees on the other side of her, mumbling a quick thank you to Y/N and a thank you to the Gods' gift of tonight. And in his mind, a thank you for what to him felt like a gift from the Gods' to end his grief from his early wife.
"Mm! This is really good!" Y/N gasped after tasting it. "This is the best tea I've ever had!" Her eyes were wide in awe and her expression showing her impressment. Hanzo chuckled at her adorable reaction as he took a sip of his wom drink. It's been maybe 8 minutes since Y/N got there and she already forgot to remain all traditional and civil. It was adorable to him; she was so precious really.
And throughout the night, the two of them talked and laughed and jokes and got close. They remained at the chabudai most of the night, aside from when Y/N asked for a tour. She adored the bonsais, scenery that can be seen from outside the window, paintings around the home, and everything. She was so naive but to Hanzo, that wasn't particularly a bad thing. It made her all the more fun to be around. And because of how great of a night they were having, they even agreed to meet up the next day.
"Excuse me, Miss Y/N," Hanzo said as he stood up from the chabudai. "I will be back in one moment. Please help yourself to more tea if you'd like."
"I will," Y/N responded sweetly. Oh, on a side note, Y/N completely forgot about the traditional thing completely so don't expect her to stay put in the few minutes Hanzo was gone. Actually, by the time Hanzo came back, Y/N had her head in her arms on the table her body slowly rising and falling with the rhythm of her breaths. Hanzo couldn't help but find himself smiling down at her. He got that warm feeling in his chest again though it was different this time. It wasn't as unfamiliar as before. He knew what it was; it was love slowly blossoming.
He sighed softly before picking up the sleeping girl's tired form and carrying her against his chest. She shifted a little bit in his grasp and ended up being hudled against him more, making that warn feeling in Hanzo's chest grow more. Such a sweet, innocent creature. He slid open his door and brought her back to her guest home, where he laid her in bed and brought her hair down from its updo in order for it to not be as bad of a mess tomorrow. He kissed her forehead and then left to sleep in his own bed until the next morning.
The next day was the same as the previous. And then the day after that, and the day after that day, and so forth. But one day was a particularly cold day and a cold blanket of snow began to cover the land. Y/N was at Hanzo's place, watching the snow fall through an open window with her E/C eyes wide in amazement at the beauty. Hanzo was standing behind her with two cups of tea in his hand.
"Would you care for a drink?" He asked, making Y/N turn around.
"Thank you, Hanzo!" She said as she took the drink from him and took a big sip. It tasted sweet, as it was the tea she had when she came over for the first time. "Say, I sorta wish we could have gone outside today. I noticed that you like to fight in that place by the pond a lot; which is really great to watch! You're so strong, hehe. But you've never actually seen me fight before," she explained right before she took a sip of tea. "Y'know, I'm painfully aware that people view me as an immature, innocent, naive girl who isn't the most aware of her surroundings. But I think you'll be impressed to see what I can do," she said confidently as she hummed.
Hanzo took a sip from his tea and nodded. "Perhaps. When it gets warmer out, I'd love to watch what you can do," he replied with an extra caring tone with his voice. He caught onto his tone quickly and blushed a little bit. "But there is something we can do outside," he started.
"What is it?" Y/N asked, standing up.
"Well, there's a hotspring nearby. We can swim in there if you'd like. However be sure to dress in something not too revealing if you would like to."
"There is? I'd love to!" She exclaimed as she bounced up and down. "I'll dmgi get dressed now," she eagered on as she put her shoes back on before leaving. Hanzo grabbed her up of tea and brought it to the kitchen. It's a shape it would go to waste, but he can always make more. He returned to his bedroom to grab something to put on while swimming but please, just imagine what he'd wear to swim. Traditional swimwear is too nasty to be used in this book, but swimming trunks are too modern. As for Y/N, considering she never had a particular home or culture, it made sense for her to just wear a full body suit she could have gotten from anywhere in Earthrealm.
Of course, the both of them were sure to bathe before hopping into the hot spring. Well, Hanzo slowly got in whereas Y/N jumped in without any care. It was warm, shocker there.
"Ahh...Thank the Elder Gods for getting me here before I froze to death," Y/N shuddered as chills ran up her spine. Though those chills were disappearing as the warmth of the hot spring washer over her soon enough. Hanzo rested his body against the large rocks around the hot spring and found a seat-like area. Y/N swam around happily and sung to herself.
Oh, one thing worth mentioning for the sake of the next paragraph is that Y/N had a necklace around her neck. Hanzo had never noticed it before as it was always under her kimono or shirt. However that necklace had a great significance go it; she was told that with that necklace, she would be able to find her parents who seemed to have lost her at birth. That necklace was the only thing that remained of them and hopefully destiny was kind enough to help her find her parents.
"Kyaa–" shrieked as a splashing sound was heard. Hanzo stopped daydreaming and looked over at Y/N, who's hair covered he face and arm frantically tried to keep her body floating. She quickly pushed her hair out of her face and whined over and over again worried. Hanzo instinctively swam over there as fast as possible, grabbing ahold of her gently yet sturdy. "Where is it!" She cried out, feeling her body and looking around the waters.
"Where is what?" Hanzo asked in his husky voice that was now in a confused tone.
"My necklace! I can't find my necklace!" She replied worriedly, tears swelling in her eyes. Hanzo looked at the tears forming and felt his whole body shiver woman's his heart drop. "I can't see it anywhere!" Hanzo began to swim towards the rock formation he was against earlier, making Y/N cry out, "wait!"
"Y/N," Hanzo sternly spoke. "I will find your necklace and return it. Worry not, please, dear friend," he reassured, taking her hand in his. She shook nervously and wiped her tears. Slowly, she nodded which told Hanzo he could swim away now. And so he did; he headed towards the stop where she cried out and with one deep breath, he went underwater. He had to hold his nose for warm waters were very dangerous to go under as dangerous fungi grow in hot waters. Yet even so, he swam to the bottom of the hot spring using one hand to stir around to look for the necklace.
Y/N waited on the rocks, sniffing and whimpering. She hasn't told Hanzo the origin of the necklace, but he could tell it was important to her. When she was little, she was handed the necklace and was told it would help her find her missing mother as long as she stayed pure. What that means is that Y/N had to remain free from murder, theft, and other ways of sin. Not only that, but she could not ever preform certain adult actions as then she would never find her parents (I say that because Y/N never had a parent figure to teach her what nono stuff is), which is her number one goal in life. She grew up going from city to city, state to state, country to country, and even had been in Outworld before. She grew up with so many cultures and had never found someone that was like her in any way. It felt like she didn't have an identity as she had nothing to trace her orgins to.
Splash! Hanzo took a deep breath of air as he finally reached the surface again, with a silver necklace with a S/F/C gem inside it that's carved to show an unknown design. "Is this your necklace?" He asked as he held it up. Y/N gasped, lunging back into the water and swimming towards Hanzo. Once she got up to him, she wrapped her arms around his muscular figure and cried.
"You found it! Thank you so much!" She cried out happily, pressing her body against him. Hanzo blushed at the sudden affection and slipped the necklace back onto her. He adjusted the back of of it so it wouldn't fall off her so easily again. "I love Hanzo... You're the best friend I've ever had... I really mean it," she whimpered out. Hanzo began to swim towards the rock formation again and once he did, Y/N let go of him.
"I appreciate it, Y/N. I love you as well, you're the closest friend I've ever had," he said back to her with a warm smile on his features. Y/N smiled back at him before examining her unharmed necklace.
"Hmm... Ever since I could remember, I would move from every country in the world to another. I've been to Paris, Beijing, New York, London, Los Angeles, a few different places in Mexico and Colombia, Holland, Tokyo, Osaka, and many more. I was carried from place to place by various of adoptive mothers, and each of them left a bit of their culture and identity with me by the time I left.
"But I had one that was a fortune teller and psychic. She was incapable kf having kids and didn't want to go through the trouble of raising one, so she took me, an 11 year old girl. She gasped when she saw me and took me in immediately. Before I left her, she gave me this necklace. "Y/N," she said, "you have the potential to see your real parents again. Train, grow stronger, read, grow smarter, listen, grow wiser. Stray away from the evil in the world and remain pure from your soul to your body. This is how you'll find your mother.""
Y/N paused and looked up at the larger male. He seemed intrigued with her story and made sure to listen carefully to her every word. So she continued, "as I grew older and began to travel on my own, I thought of her words every single hour of every day. I had no reason to live as I ever did was travel and meet new people, only to leave and never see them again. Just knowing who I really was became my only reason for existing. To this day, I bet the relief of meeting my real mom will feel like being deaf and hearing music, or being blind and seeing color, or being able to walk again after being paralyzed. But now," she paused.
Y/N smiled and looked up at Hanzo. "It's strange to feel so in place, so correct. I-I know I never felt this way about any place before! But I really think that as long as you're around, my chances of meeting my mom are good! Just being with you gives me hope for the next day, truly. It's like being with you is my reason to exist."
Hanzo closed his eyes and smiled back at her. He wrapped his arms around and embraced her warmly, his head being filled with nothing but pure bliss. Y/N hugged back tightly, feeling just as happy as he is right now.
And just as soon as it came, the day was over and the two had to return home and sleep. But this particular night, their dreams were better than usual. And two days later, the snow had cleared up and the ground was dry! That meant Y/N could go train today! Unfortunately, with her absent-mindedness, she forgot she wanted Hanzo to watch her so she remained in private as she kicked thicc ass trees down in two strong kicks and crushed stones into bits by simply punching it once.
"Hai...ya!" She called out as she forcefully brought her first to a stone celler that was abandoned randomly in the woods. But hey, no one was using it, so who's gonna cry about it being broken? The impact of her punch brought a giant circular impact onto the wall, and bits and pieces of it fell down. "Hehehe! 22 more to go!" She thought out loud as she pulled her fist back again. She wasn't alone in these woods, no, as there was a particular ninja/samurai person thing, idk, watching from the nearby bush. Not to be creepy of course! He was on his way to his dojo but heard noises, and discovered it was her after checking it out.
And d a m n. If Y/N saw his shocked face the first time he saw her punch the wall with that much force and endurance, she would laugh and tease him about it for a long time. He didn't expect her to be so quick in her movements and to cause such force. Like, a short little bebe in a pink, cutesy kimono with cherry blossoms being able to cause a fucking massacre to the wall? How could you blame him?
"Hmm... that reminds me!" Y/N exclaimed as she spun around to look at Hanzo. "I told you that you should watch me train! Is that what you were doing?"
Hanzo blushed heavily and was unfortunately incapable of hiding it in the direct daylight. "Indeed, Y/N. This is truly a wonderful sight to see," he replied as he looked away for a moment. Y/N gasped and ran towards him. He took a few steps back when he noticed how close she gotten, which caused him to get a little bit more flustered.
"You're sick? You're face is all red, Y/N whined as she pulled Hanzo closer. "You should be inside, mister, getting better! Not out here watching me fight when it's colder out here! Let's go bring you inside," he said as she grabbed his muscular arm and held it close. She turned towards the village of the Shirai Ryu and began walking towards it, pulling Hanzo along. How bold.
Hanzo but his bottom lightly and remained as flustered as before. "There really is no need, Y/N," he replied back.
"You're being quite irresponsible for a ninja, y'know," Y/N replied as she continued to walk him home. Hanzo sighed and just let her pull him along. He knew she would question him if he told her he wasn't sick so he choose into except it.
"Thank you for your concern," he replied lowly. Y/N giggled proudly and nodded.
"The best for you!" They arrived to the pathways of the village and began their walk. There was a few pedestrians walking by, including a dad and daughter and a separate woman. "I'll make you some tea and you can go to bed, okay?" Hanzo nodded, smirking to himself about how funny the situation really is.
"How caring," Hanzo spoke as they arrived at his home. The got inside and took their shoes off at the front door.
"Of course," she replied before heading towards the kitchen to make tea. Hanzo wasn't sick but he's been tired lately and what's wrong with sleeping in for one day? When he got the tea, it no doubt tasted way too bitter as Y/N doesn't really know what she's doing to be honest. But hey, it's the thought that counts.
Hanzo lied in bed, with an empty cup by his side and an small girl on the other. She sat on the bed, talking to him quietly about a bunch of random things until she said something strange. "To be honest, I know this is weird, but it almost feels like we're married sometimes. I mean, we're together all the time and have a very close friendship. You let me drag you in here and give you bitter tea even though you didn't want to. That's really nice, hehe," she giggled as she looked over at Hanzo. Her eyes shun something different from simply joy this time. Instead, it showed rather care. And potentially something more.
Hanzo felt a shiver go down his spine as he looked deep into Y/N's eyes. Emhe had to examine them to ensure that he wasn't just crazy or actually sick, but no, it looked like she really did care about him more than a friend. After all these months, it was officially, wasn't it? It was mutual. Hanzo smiled as he sat up on the bed. Y/N's cheeks lit up a little bit as he stared down at her with that look.
"Sometimes it really does feel like that, does it not? I can see as a good pair to be truthful. What about you?" Hanzo asked softly. Y/N cheeks flushed pink and her expression softened.
"I agree, definitely. I mean, how can I not, heh heh. You've been there from the very beginning and I've always seen you as this big, strong teddy bear of sorta. So sweet, so nice, so caring," she replied. Hanzo leaned in, making Y/N want to lean in too. And slowly, the pair came together and finally...they kissed. It was soft, tender, and it felt like it was meant to happen. Y/N's face turned red and Hanzo's tense emotions he felt disappeared immediately.
Heh, you know what? To be honest, they lady next door was known to be crazy about losing her baby girl a very long time ago. They had matching necklaces that were bought from a village far away from their's years ago when the Shirai Ryu was attacked by Quan Chi's forces. She escaped and went into hiding, and then found a man to marry to. Her child was named Y/N L/N, and whether she's not fully Japanese or fully related into the Japanese clan, she is blood and therefore she is capable of being the love of Hanzo Hisashi. Maybe the two of them will meet some day, huh?

Meeting and Falling for Thomas would include :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's going to be shy okay? Yes he will be shy in the beginning . But later on , it's going to be so fun with him .
He'll always be curious to know you better . He would talk with you a lot . You might even be his favourite person to talk to . If you're being mysterious/are mysterious that's a complete plus point to get into his mind .
He'll often try romantic things to surprise you and show you how much he likes you , but he's so clumsy . He might smash the cake on your face while try to simply scare you , the rose might drop into a pool of dirty water while he's offering you , he might trip twice in the air while trying to catwalk in front of you and so on..
Heavily awkward situations can be a part . You both would end up laughing though .
You'll always call him Thomas , not Tom or Tommy because it reminds him of his dead friend(s)(incase you don't read my headcanons ahead lol) . He would've got silent after you once called him Tom/Tommy for fun . While her's venting out in front of you , you'll swear to yourself never to call him Tommy/Tom .
You'll have so many adventures together and Thomas 'nearly' getting out of the troubles from it .
Thomas is very impulsive , you having his back would make him feel blessed . You'll always get him out of sticky situations . You'd be very smart for sure .
Thomas is really the one who'll tell you 'you're beautiful' for 1000 times a day.
You could be insecure , but Thomas is gonna show you how wonderful you are . Sometimes , he might feel as if he took a wrong step or something , due to the pressure of having everyone depend on him . Having you will relax him emotionally (as you comfort him) and mentally (as he knows there's someone whom he can depend on for smartness)
You'll be one of the girls from Glade B . You both would unite in the Scorch Trials .
Minho would be your favourite . He and you = Sarcasm alert (salute to Thomas , Teresa , Newt and Frypan to bear you both)
You would not like Teresa from the beginning , doubting every move which might cause a mild rift between you and Thomas , yes only mild because he'll feel a need to trust you too .
Frypan would be the one you liked but not relied so much (also when he left , in books)
You and Thomas would be bestfriend since the beginning until Teresa betrayed Thomas and sent you down the second Maze with the help of Aris and Rachel .
Thomas would catch feelings for you at the end of Scorch Trials/beginning of Death Cure when you decide to stay back and help them get Minho back (okay , I've read the books so in the books you might help him escape Teresa and Aris , asking him to let you accompany him in return)
Even though you both wouldn't confess due to the problems going on but eyes said everything . You both knew you liked eachother but both of you decided to wait for the correct time
You'll often have proper comebacks to Brenda's flirting . So you can say , you're sarcastic and sassy .
You would definitely be curious yourself , getting yourself end up in thomas' problems . You both would be the legendary duo which would escape everything together .
You'll definitely risk yourself to save Newt , Thomas' bestfriend , resulting in you getting infected instead of Newt .
I personally feel you're not immune . Thomas , when came to know this , did anything to keep you safe but alas , you get infected . When Teresa called him out for the cure , he went there for you .
You were saved okay ?
But you saw Thomas leaning in to kiss Teresa since you went to the already falling building for Thomas . Turning around, you waited for them to end(but they never started it , Thomas was loyal)
You ignored Thomas for a long time in the safe haven until he told he was under the pain , it felt as if it was his end and whatsoever . But , you believed him and gave him a chance .
Seems like you never regretted doing so .
He's definitely the one to marry at the correct time . So he'll see you as the ideal woman he would like to start a family with .

A Sunless Skies!AU fic, Part 1
So I've...ended up writing a fic for my Sunless Skies x Hermitcraft AU. At first it was meant to be just like, a ficlet, but it's kind of spiralled a bit into a multi-parter fic. So here's the Part 1!
Again, credit to @redstone-sun for the FL!AU that kickstarted my inspiration for the Sunless Skies!AU!
Ren and Doc, brave Co-Captains of the Octagon Van, seekers of secrets and conspiracies, have for once, decided to take a brief vacation from their adventures and accidental incidents in the High Wilderness. Their vacation of choice? A few days at the most desirable holiday destination in all of Albion: Worlebury-juxta-Mare.
An idyllic holiday spot, where nothing is amiss, and nothing can go wrong. Right?
(Spoilers for Sunless Skies lore!)
The admission passes for a weekend stay at Worlebury-juxta-Mare had been a gift from the Boatem Crew, after a series of incidents that were probably best to never be spoken about again, on both groups’ parts.
Specifically, Scar had handed over the admission permits with a wink, tipping them out of his top hat with a dramatic gesture, along with a pamphlet.
“Should be fine for a weekend stay, gentlemen! I’ve heard that they even sell genuine rubbery lumps there, tastes just like it does back in London, apparently. Haven’t tried any myself, admittedly.”
And with that parting note, the Boatem Crew had set off from their rendezvous, leaving behind Ren, Doc, and their horde of semi-displaced goats.
A few weeks later, they had finished finding decent homes for the goats across the entirety of the High Wilderness, with a few exceptions who were still very much at home onboard their locomotive. And finally, the two could head off to their first vacation in several months.
“So, Worlebury-juxta-Mare.” Ren commented, staring at the cursive writing on one of the passes, and checking the pamphlet’s travel details with the map in front of him. “Have you gone there before?”
“Nope.” Doc replied, most of his focus upon repairing his mechanical arm after their last goat drop-off resulted in a very close call with some of Albion’s native wildlife. “It’s…off to the east, isn’t it?”
“Past London, yeah. Not close to the Avid Horizon, though.”
“That’s good to hear, I don’t think they’ll be happy to see us again so soon after that one, uh, incident.”
“I thought we agreed to never speak of that again.”
“True.”
The journey to the holiday destination took a little under a fortnight, with the last of the goats willing to leave rehomed on the way. The one remaining goat ended up being named Vigenere, and appointed as the Octagon Van’s noble mascot, screams and all.
The island that Worlebury was located upon was shrouded in mist, which slowly parted to reveal a quaint-looking town, with multiple other locomotives docked at the port, and the faint outline of amusement park rides in the distance.
“Well, it certainly looks like what the pamphlet described.” Doc said, as their locomotive was guided to a docking station.
As they stepped onto the wooden planks of the docks, they followed the signs leading them to a sizeable queue in front of the main gates of the station. A few signs, all in the same fanciful cursive as the passes that they carried, directed visitors either to the queue for those with passes, those bringing supplies, those waiting for regular entry, and workers. Right by where all the queues began, they could see a bright turquoise banner for a Swaggon Inc. stall, set up in what looked like a cart, and selling all manner of knickknacks to the passing visitors.
“Suppose that’s us.” Doc pointed at one of the shorter queues, patrons in fine clothing and clearly of noble or wealthy backgrounds murmuring among themselves as their passes were checked and stamped.
As they waited, an official suddenly wandered by, stared at them for half a second, before making a ‘come over here’ gesture. Curious, the two headed over, and the man held out a hand, the badge of a government representative clearly affixed to his lapel.
“First time in Worlebury-juxta-Mare? Excellent, excellent, right this way then.” He said, a businessman’s grin fixed upon his face as he shook their hands in greeting. “I’m a representative of the Bureau of Entertainments, and I’d like to welcome you to our fine port. Now, I know queue jumping is a little uncouth, but well, for fine gentlemen as yourself, I am certain you would rather be enjoying the sights rather than mingling with the proletariat for hours.”
Ren and Doc shared an awkward glance, silently comparing their practical, but significantly less extravagant, attire with the shining emerald suit the official was wearing. Over by the admission pass queue, one of the women’s hats looked more expensive than all of Doc’s prosthetics combined, and Ren knew for a fact that Doc had not spared any expense with his equipment or materials for that.
“Uh, thanks? We do have passes though.” Ren held up the aforementioned two items.
“Consider this a courtesy for your first time visiting. We are, of course, absolutely certain that you will be returning guests, after all.” The man smiled at them, before showing them to a door that had a brass plaque with the words ‘Fitting Room’ etched onto it. “Now, there is a dress code, so please do step inside and let the good Couturier find you a suitable outfit.”
With only the slightest amount of hesitancy, the duo stepped into what turned out to be a sizeable room that had all manner of clothing hung up in the wardrobes and racks that lined its walls. The Couturier took one look at Doc’s labcoat (missing a sleeve after it was ripped too many times by him using his mechanical arm to physically fend off the creatures that attacked their locomotive), and Ren’s combination of overalls, tinted goggles, and a ragged red shirt, seemed to grind his teeth in silent outrage, and stalked over to one of the racks.
“Pick an article of clothing you imagine suits you, and I’ll…figure something out to match it.” He said shortly.
Doc immediately gravitated towards the rack of coats, finding a white coat that was almost like his labcoat except with all its sleeves, and also made in the fashion style of decades past. The Couturier seemed to calm down upon seeing his choice, and immediately busied himself with providing the rest of a three-piece suit to accompany it. Off to the side, Doc saw Ren contemplate a lavish velvet-lined hat, before putting it down and flicking through a selection of dress shirts and blouses.
Fifteen minutes later, they had finally shoved Ren into a tailcoat set, much to the relief of the Couturier, who had seemed close to sobbing after the twelfth time that Ren had thought the chosen attire did not suit him.
“I still think the fur coat would have looked better.”
“It looked like someone had stitched together a bunch of rats, Ren.”
Ren sighed dramatically, before immediately lighting up once again as they finally made it into the port town proper, and spotted the wide variety of shops and amusement park games that lined the streets.
“Oh, there’s a stall for the rubbery lumps that Scar mentioned!”
And with that, the hours whirled past as they visited shop after shop, Ren gleefully taste-testing several shops’ worth of tea variety before ordering a few caddies for them to take with them. At one point, Doc swore there was something more wormy than earthy in a particular cup of tea, staring suspiciously into his cup before setting it down. There was something…just a bit odd, besides the fact that the mists really were vaguely corrosive and causing their clothes from the fitting room to slowly disintegrate and unravel as time went by.
But, on the other hand, Ren did seem to be having a good time, and the shop with a wide array of elaborate tea sets, and other porcelain objects, was quite enjoyable to wander through, even if the screams from the nearby donkey ride was a little disconcerting.
Wait. Screams?
Doc whirled around, to where the donkey ride was. No, he must have been mistaken, it seemed like nothing was amiss, though his mechanical eye did focus upon an odd reddish stain that seemed to shimmer in and out of view. He blinked, and the stain was gone.
Huh, his eye probably needed a little bit of a tune up once they were back on board the Van.
“Hey, Doc, want to get some candyfloss?”
He turned away from the donkeys, to where Ren was tugging him over to a stand with multicoloured sticks of candyfloss. Still perturbed, he absently took a bite out of the pale green spun sugar that Ren had purchased for him.
It was sweet. A bit almond-bitter, if he thought about it for long enough.
Their hotel resort room was actually quite comfortable, considering they were essentially visiting for free. The Department official had said that their stay would be the equivalent of their usual pass, just without needing the actual pass, for some reason.
Ren tugged awkwardly at his clothes as they settled for the day, the fabric already looking a bit threadbare. Doc simply huffed, sitting down in one of the armchairs with relief after a whole day of walking and running around.
“They sure weren’t joking about the mists.” Ren joked, looking out at their beachfront view. “We’ll probably be lucky to get to midday tomorrow before we have to leave because our fitting room outfits are in tatters.”
“I thought we already saw everything today?” Doc eyed the bags of souvenirs that they had acquired, and the stack of cargo receipts he was dreading having to file away at a later time.
“There’s an art exhibition tomorrow, and we still haven’t seen the beach.”
“Hm, alright.” Doc sighed, sinking further into his armchair. “I’m going to be honest; I’m looking forward to being back on our locomotive, my eye’s been seeing some strange things and I think it might need a tune-up.”
“Probably isn’t anything serious, Doc!”
“I hope so.”
Roughly eight hours later, Doc was deeply regretting everything as the sky above the beach shimmered and doubled, the sight of an idyllic foggy day overlapping with scintillating tendrils of unsettling light. Off to the side, Ren was attempting to skip stones along the sea of mist, which quite frankly wasn’t working on account of the ‘water’ not being water in the first place.
“Ren, I think we should leave.” He said, catching the other man’s attention. “I’m…The place is starting to look a bit weird.”
“Ah, is the eye giving you that much trouble?”
“No, it’s-“
“Eh, we can always come back later, we still have the tickets Scar gave us.” Ren shrugged, and the two of them slowly made their way back to the dock. As they stepped back out onto the wooden platforms that formed the dockside, Doc blinked as the double vision he had been experiencing slowly cleared up, fading away almost like mist on a windy day.
An hour or two later, and Doc held up his mechanical eye to the lightbulb above his workstation, frowning in consternation. There didn’t seem to be any faults with the eye, and he even swapped it back out again with the spare, to compare the two. For all intents and purposes, his eye was perfectly functional, down to the polished glass lenses within it.
“Well, Doc? How’s the eye?” Ren poked his head into the tiny room that housed most of Doc’s tools and other equipment.
“It…seems to be working as normal. I don’t get it, I swear it was glitching out whilst we were in town, but there’s nothing wrong with it! I even pulled it apart to check if some of the internal pieces had corroded or fallen out of place, but it was all fine!”
“Huh, weird.” Ren shrugged. “So, you up for heading back in to the town, or do you want us to go? We did manage to get quite a bit of souvenirs, anyways.”
“Honestly? I think we ought to go, there’s just something not right about this place.”
“Hm, maybe something about the mists is making your hardware go a bit haywire? They do have a corrosive effect, even if its mild enough to only affect fabrics.” Ren nodded. “Anyways, I’ll go tell the crew to get ready to set off.”
“Uh. Captains?”
The two turned, to see one of the crewmembers looking at them with barely hidden panic on their face.
“Yeah?” Ren raised an eyebrow.
“Vigenere. The mascot. We can’t find them anywhere!”

Alright! Time for part 3 of married!Awu/XQ headcanons. This time? It’s all about the children!
There is nothing unplanned about Awu’s second pregnancy. The subject of children comes up again not long after Awu reunites with Xiao Qi after the so-called death of the latter. Their days in Ningshuo may be filled with the hustle and bustle of preparing for the upcoming march on the capital, but evenings and nights? Those are for holding each other close in search of comfort and reassurance. If not for that, Awu would scarcely have the strength to let Xiao Qi out of her eyesight during those first days and weeks.
During one of those quiet Ningshuo evenings Awu finally breaks. She has had to be strong for so long, all the while half-believing she would never be allowed the luxury of being weak in her husband’s arms again, that even now it takes time for her to let go and simply cry. When tears finally do come out, so do all of Awu’s past fears, leaving her one by one in an unstoppable torrent. Fear for those reliant on her, for the orphaned country and for her own fate; all of those are carefully listened to and soothed with words, silent affection and sense of complete togetherness.
One of those fears? Had you died, had you truly left me alone, what would I have of you for all the years to come? she asks, her voice muffled, her face pressed into her husband’s neck. There is a good reason why she was prepared to die after exacting her revenge. Far too many sleepless nights in Hulan had been spent imagining the long, dreary years of her widowhood. Ten, twenty, thirty years of loneliness, seeing her nephews and nieces being born and then growing up, with nothing, not even her husband’s sword to put in that bloody chapel; would that have been her fate?
She hits him – not too hard, but hard enough for it to be more than a playful tap – when he says that, in time, she would remarry and find happiness again. Would you?! she demands angrily, then softens, once she reads the answer in his eyes. A man should take responsibility from the beginning to the end. Not even a bloody sword to be mounted on the family altar, she laughs tiredly. You owe me, my Prince Yuzhang, you owe me and I shall be your most merciless creditor. Give me a child with your smile, one with your hands and eyes, she demands, pressing insistent kisses to that smile, to those hands and eyes, and then and only then will I consider myself satisfied.
He would, you know, he would have given her a dozen children if that were only possible, but surely she must know that it is not, it can never be in this lifetime. Awu can have anything else for the payment of his debt; he knows he owes her and will give her all that she may wish for that she does not already own. She wants children? Fine, she may have all the orphans in Ningshuo for the raising, if that will bring her joy. But he doesn’t, can never regret putting her health above all else and would give her five more miracle flowers if he had to…
Yes, Awu finally shuts her husband up, unable to take any more of this lethal sincerity. How? Well, the exact method I shall leave to your imagination, but the gist of it is as follows: Xiao Qi is not getting off that easily. They can and will have that child. How? Well, Awu might have plotted with Doctor Shen towards that goal and it will work this time. Maybe not now, maybe it will take another few months or years of fiery needles, but it’s not like they are in hurry. There is no way Awu will agree to have a child in the middle of a civil war, so her husband should really get on with restoring peace in all Cheng. Not right now! In the morning should be soon enough.
____________________________________
It does take some time, first to restore peace and then for Awu to actually get pregnant. In the meantime, she does take all the orphans in Ningshuo as an advance on that debt, not to mention their first son and daughter, Xiaohe and Qinzhi.
Doctor Shen, who – struck with a sudden premonition – had moved to Ningshuo among much grumbling and trembling over the contents of his priceless apothecary, is rewarded with the dubious honour of playing witness to Xiao Qi’s complete meltdown. The first thing our brave general does upon hearing of his wife’s pregnancy is to hug her and refuse to let go for a good while, not that she protests. The second thing? He panics like he’s never panicked before. Doctor Shen comes upon his noble patron, well, not hyperventilating, we’re talking about Xiao Qi here, remember. But certainly in throes of a good old anxiety attack. It’s… an experience for the good doctor, that’s for sure.
Thankfully Doctor Shen manages to talk Xiao Qi out of his wildest ideas. Like, for example, shutting Awu in her rooms in the middle of Ningshuo Fortress and standing guard over her until the baby is born. Yeah, that was not Xiao Qi’s proudest moment. Doctor Shen promises not to tell anyone of this sudden bout of unreasonable behaviour and keeps his word… for about three days, when he gladly throws Xiao Qi under the bus in order to ensure Awu’s full compliance with his own, medically justified safety measures.
Mind you, even Doctor Shen cannot work miracles, which he comes to bitterly regret in those next few months. Panicked Xiao Qi and worried Turnip Wang make for a truly hellish duo and Ningshuo soon experiences a steady trickle of accomplished doctors from the capital. Some of them have clearly been dragged out of their comfortable practices under duress, for others it’s quite an adventure. The latter soon find themselves put to work; no use in simply standing around and deliberating over a stunningly healthy woman when there are actual patients in need to be seen to!
____________________________________
Awu considers Xiao Qi’s debt fully repaid the moment she sees her son smile for the first time. Xiao Qi, an overachiever that he is, doesn’t quite agree… and a few years later they try for another child; this time it’s a daughter. One - as Xiao Qi likes to brag - as beautiful as her mother and isn’t it lucky that he has an army fit to guard the greatest treasures in all Cheng? Awu thinks that it would serve him right should Treasure the Younger marry an officer of that very army in the future. She doesn’t, by the way, but that is an entirely different story.
The children are named Yunshuo and Yunning, which is a reason of much good-natured teasing. Even among the children themselves. Yunning, once she grows to an age when she starts to assert her dominance, insists that really, her brother should listen to her in all things. He may be older in years, that much is true, but Ning always comes before Shuo, everybody knows that!
Jinruo’s words come true after all: Xiao Yunning is Awu’s tiny copy, only, according to Awu herself, twice as bossy and confident. Xiao Qi never questions this claim, at least not out loud, but Uncle Asu has no such qualms and immediately provides a good half-dozen stories to that effect. Now, Yunning has every chance to grow up spoiled with a mother who applauds her strong character, a father who might seem strict, yet folds like wet paper at the first sight of a trembling lip and a whole bunch of playmates only too easily coaxed into following her commands. And she very well might have... if not for one Hu Yao (who is alive and you won’t convince me otherwise, ha!). The younger Hu, a true Ningshuo legend, enjoys great authority among recruits and veterans both; she proves a match for a head-strong girl like Yunning, although only barely. No, Hu Yao’s pupil doesn’t become a general in her own right, choosing another path instead… but she keeps up with her training in the years to come.
Xiao Yunshuo, affectionately called Xiao Xiao, is no warrior in the making, being of a rather gentle disposition, something that he never grows out of, for all that this gentle disposition later turns out to hide a character of pure steel. Oh, make no mistake, Yunshuo is perfectly competent with weapons and on horseback, but it is not something that comes naturally to him, nor does he find much joy in fighting. This becomes blatantly obvious once he starts advanced training. Every child under Awu’s care is taught enough to be able to defend themselves or know when to run away, but nobody is forced to persist with military training, should they not wish to. Yunshuo persists all the same, making continuous progress. It’s only natural that he does: he’s rather frighteningly smart, that boy, and he works hard.
A bit too hard, as it turns out. Xiao Qi becomes suspicious of his son’s behaviour and makes sure to ‘accidentally’ come upon one of Yunshuo’s solitary and completely unsanctioned training sessions. Why, he asks and becomes rather angry once the truth starts coming out. No, not with Yunshuo. With himself, for not preventing this whole issue from existing in the first place. See, Yunshuo thinks it shameful that he, the firstborn and only son of Prince Yuzhang, the greatest general and warrior Cheng has had for generations, will never be able to become a worthy successor to his famous father. No, nobody has said anything, but Yunshuo is not stupid, he knows what he is and is not capable of!
Xiao Qi takes a minute to consider his next words carefully. In the end, he tells the truth: when he was a bit older that Yunshuo is now, he had no valuable skills, no education, no family and no real hope for the future. Signing up for an army was pretty much the easiest choice to make for somebody who didn’t really have all that much to live for. Killing people? Is not that difficult. All it takes is a good sharpened sword and some basic training. Learning to protect people, well, that was a bit harder; took Xiao Qi some years and a lot grief and pain to master that. Everything else – building a true home, making peace for yourself and everybody else, and creating a lasting, better future? That’s Awu’s forte and her work. There is no shame in having different skills, explains Xiao Qi. Find what you do best and make sure that it is of use to somebody. That’s it. Whatever Yunshuo’s skills, as long as at the end of the day he is be ready to use them to protect what is dear to him, he will be a warrior in his father’s eyes.
Xiao Yunshuo takes his father’s words to heart and, when the time comes, relays them to his own children. He never becomes a one man army, for all that he takes care not to let his skill with weapons go to rust. He does, however, become a great lord and statesman, and a startlingly brilliant strategist to boot; his advice is greatly appreciated by his older brother, the brave General Xiao Xiaohe… as well as by his brother-in-law, the Emperor of Cheng himself.
In Ningshuo, despite all his merits and great dignity, Xiao Yunshuo stays Xiao Xiao long, long after becoming a father himself.
____________________________________
Xiao Yunning is widely held by the ministers of Cheng to be the cause for at least a quarter of their grey hair. And all because of one rather tiny, if rather infamous deed. Okay, maybe not that tiny… But it is not Yunning’s fault that Xiao Qi had made such an impression on a bunch of delicate noblemen over twenty years earlier!
Once His Imperial Majesty, one Ma Jing, successfully negotiates puberty, it becomes a matter of national importance to supply him with a wife of appropriate station, character, beauty and fertility, the first and the last being the most important, of course. The true war over who will become the Empress of Cheng does not start until His Imperial Majesty becomes a fully-grown man; that is not until the Prime Minister’s eldest daughter comes of age. Having another Wang Empress is seen as inevitable by many; others are rather eager to see the streak of Wang Empresses die a final death. The idea of courting a foreign princess gets briefly thrown around and then soundly rejected. It’s a pity that all of His Majesty’s marriageable cousins with even a drop of Ma blood have the same family name, says somebody who sounds suspiciously like a true Classist Wei. For a moment there is complete silence as the thoughts of everyone present turn to the one cousin who is neither a Ma or a Wang.
See, Xiao Qi and Awu could easily make their daughter an Empress… if they thought that it would make her happy. They have nothing against Jing’er, why, he’s a beloved nephew to them both and they have taken a good measure of his character during the time he spent in Ningshuo, which amounts to a good couple of years. If they were to be honest, Yunning could use a husband this good-natured and conciliatory, and Jing’er would do well with an Empress of Yunning’s strength of character. There is also the matter of a rather touching childhood crush… but since Yunning herself has nothing but derogatory words for this whole imperial marriage mart mess, there is nothing to be done. Nothing to be done at all, as Xiao Qi quite readily assures his brother-in-law, adding that being an Empress is not an easy fate and one that he would not wish on anybody. Asu, long-used to not truly understanding Xiao Qi’s ambitions or rather the lack thereof, takes this assurance on its merits and goes back to planning his own daughter’s imperial wedding.
Rather surprisingly it’s Jing’er who becomes the greatest obstacle to Asu’s dynastic plans. Somehow he never really says no… but no mercenary father can ever pin him long enough to force him to say yes to any of the myriad of candidates. This stand-off lasts for some time, to Xiao Qi’s quiet amusement and Turnip’s frustration. Awu, on the other hand, becomes rather pensive, although she refuses to share her suspicions with anybody. It’s not like she has any proof…
...until her daughter provides her with all the proof she could have ever wished for.
The day another group of potential candidates is to be presented at court, Xiao Yunning pulls a Xiao Qi, causing many a minister to relieve their old trauma. Yes, she marches into the throne room accompanied by six of her companions, most of which do rather poorly at concealing weapons under their dresses. Yes, she climbs the stairs without as much as a by-your-leave. Yes, she does all of that while wearing clothing in a colour appropriate for the occasion. In this case? Wedding red. The main difference is that Ma Jing is a much wiser Emperor than Ma Zitan and grants Yunning’s petition immediately and with good grace.
The reason why Yunning did what she did, leaving Jing’er with no choice but to accept her suit? Well, that childhood crush might have been rather more than a crush. Really, Yunning would have had it in the bag the day of her coming-of-age ceremony, were His Imperial Majesty not such a noble bore. I cannot condemn you to carry this burden with me before you really know what you want, he said, every word disgustingly noble and self-sacrificial. You are not somebody who can be caged, so go and spread your wings and I shall wait for you for as long as it takes, he offered in a rather suspiciously bland tone of voice. Really, one could almost believe that Jing’er actually bought into that silly rumour that Xiao Qi requires every prospective son-in-law to fight him with live steel. Which, by the way, is not true. He only ever fought two rather persistent young lordlings who couldn’t understand that Qinzhi’s no means no.
Everything ends rather well for all interested parties, although Turnip keeps grumbling about having an unfairly deceitful brother-in-law. Awu quickly shuts him down, if only to get in her own portion of shameless teasing. See, if Xiao Qi wanted to avoid such situations, then he should have given his children a better example. This quickly devolves into a round of Yuzhang-style teasing, which prompts a stark realization from Xiao Yunning. She might be the Empress-to-be now, but even being thrice an Empress would still give her no power to stop her parents from being a pair of embarrassing old people in love. Jing’er, ever the conciliator, shows his diplomatic skill by proposing that she might have her revenge… by being one half of a pair of embarrassing young people in love.
The Wang Princess of that generation, a rather lovely and wise young woman by the name of Wang Xu, is not all that sad about losing a chance at the throne. Why, her tastes were always rather specific and in general ran more to generals than delicate young nobles. Now, this Xiao Xiaohe looks like an interesting specimen and certainly worthy of taking a closer look, should one be in-market for a pet general of one’s own...

My top 7 Arsenal wfc players, aka the whole team because they're all my children and you can't chose between children
(And they're not many more than seven anyways)
Beth Mead: a wizard on the wong and the original crot queen. She may not have had the best season this year but shes still managed to play an important part in the team and has conquered many hearts in the process. If she has to retire early because of all the hits she receives during matches then she's got a bright future ahead of her as a cringey tiktok star or, if that fails, a career as a HSM impersonator on cruise ships
Tumblr media
Cailtin Foord: there were mixed opinions when she was first announced as a new signing, but she almost immediately became one more member of the arsenal family amongst players and supporters alike. Before Covid struck shes already stamped her mark on the club with her skill and made her way onto the scoresheet, and now shes also made her way into Lia's house and infected the squad with the chaotic tiktok bug
Tumblr media
Dan Carter: literally a gooner through and through having played for arsenal for practically all her life and pulling through in the big moments. Heartbreak and injury have been her middle names for over the past year having sustained two ACL injuries in 14 months. Even if she hasnt had as much of an impact on the pitch shes still been a large part of injury fc, with her and her diary always being a source of sarcasm and banter through it all.
Danielle Van De Donk: she probably described herself best when she said she was a feisty puppy who wants to ball. A woman who takes no prisoners during matches, opponents refs and the back of nets all fear her. Off the pitch though shes a real softie who radiates chaotic energy and yet has developed over the years into quite the leader (even if she still follows beth around on her tiktok adventures)
Tumblr media
Jennifer Beattie: a friendly giant who quietly puts in all the work at the back, being an absolute unit as a last line of defense which was sorely missed during her injury. She came back from City because arsenal is home and that's beautiful. Talking about beautiful, her and Chloe. That's it, nothing more needs to be elaborated on. Pretty underrated although shes been getting more attention lately, she makes Kim company as the quiet Scottish duo who are lethal on the pitch
Tumblr media
Jill Roord: despite her love hate relationship with goal posts, shes still made her mark at arsenal this year especially thanks to the fact that she has remained injury free this year (dont worry I touched wood when I typed that) and hopefully next year when shes settled in even more to the team and the league then she'll be able to show what she's truly made of. That is, if she lasts that long before the team kick her out for being too annoying. A woman who likes the two extremes, Frozen and Olaf as well as blonde tattooed players and famous thirst traps, she epitomises this soft yet hard personality dichotomy too
Tumblr media
Jordan Nobbs: calm, composed, skillful, professional, dynamic and with the capacity of being able to astutely read the game, she's the personification of arsenal in a player. Having been at the club for a whole decade now she's practically lived it all and yet she continues on hungry for better and more. With the way she acts on the pitch you would never guess her forgetful, dorky, awkward nature off it. The woman with both the longest nando's order ever and the shortest attention span.
Tumblr media
Katie McCabe: the Irish devil, the arsenal player founder of the tucked in shirt, member of the love to hate her girlfriend club. Her almost permanent move to left back this season has reaped bountiful benefits for her, a flexible player who always finds freedom on the wing shes proved herself as lethal as both a defender and a finisher. In Jordan's words, she talks about her biceps all the time, but so would I if I was that stacked. That being said, Ruesha always finds a way to beat her which is probably payback for her scoring against West Ham in the cup
Katrine Veje: another player lost to injury this season, although lockdown has treated her well (that makes one of us) and she's apparently fully fit again. Shes been sorely missed as a fullback for most of her season, her explosiveness and crosses in particular. As it is shes used her time to get in some spectacular photoshoots and just be and just be a source of clownery as a veteran at injury fc
Kim Little: as silent as Kim and as deadly as Kim should be new british sayings at this point. Quick on her feet with nerves of steel shes an impressive player to watch and is sometimes the glue in the midfield that keeps arsenal together. Her professionalism both on and off the pitch is as big as her dislike of cameras
Tumblr media
Leah Williamson: the face of arsenal and not because of her looks, rather because of her insane talent and her embodiment of all things arsenal. From the moment she was born arsenal was pumping through her veins. One of the best up and coming CBs with long range passes for days she has been a crucial part of the arsenal squad for so long you forget she's just 23. What she lacks in some of her fashion choices she makes up in her bright and nerdy personality and her never ending stream of insults directed at Jordan
Tumblr media
Leonie Maier: she recently said that she has never regretted the decision to move to arsenal and that has been because shes been able to shine in defense mainly alongside Leah, each playing off each other's strengths and developing herself as a player in a new league which is never an easy transition. Dont let her banana bread making trick you into thinking shes the mum in the group, shes proved herself to be as chaotic as the rest of them.
Lia Walti: arguably the best thing to come out of Switzerland since toblerone (much better than swiss cheese though). Like a lot of arsenal players, it sometimes seems like she would be better off playing in bubble wrap so she wouldnt sustain as many injuries. She's an intelligent player, one of the best qualities to have as a midfielder, with skill coming out of her ears and unfulfilled potential still to come. Her sunshine-like looks can be deceiving though because she leaves her brain cells in the changing room, as is becoming an arsenal tradition.
Lisa Evans: another alround players who, as a winger-cum-fullback, has thrived in her position this year. Her defensive position yet forward thinking mentality has proved deadly and when shes been given space to roam the wing too shes provided goals and assists a plenty. Her unpredictability on the pitch translates into her chaotic tendencies off it and a love for the arsenal anthem “we've got McCabe, Katie McCabe”. Sometimes she likes to pretend that she's a seal (exhibit A attached below)
Tumblr media
Louise Quinn: it would be stereotypical to say that it's natural that shes so good at headers due to her height, but stereotypes exist for a reason and her tower-like build makes her a match for any Millie Bright in the heading department. She's a consistent, sturdy player who is great at starting up play from the back in many cases providing that vital first past (sometimes with her head because she's tall). Her pastimes include drinking a lot of coffee, understandable that she needs to refuel considering her height, and making fun on her teammates so that they dont make fun of her accent and her 183 cm length. Have I mentioned that she's tall?
Manuela Zinsberger: an extremely talented goalkeeper although sometimes people can excusably confuse her with being arsenal's eleventh outfield player. Another bayern recruit she's been key this season making some great saves and causing a few heart attacks in the process (west ham's penalty box free kick anyone?). She may look tough but she's just as much a clown as the rest of them
Tumblr media
Pauline Peyraud-Magnin: the second proud member of the goalkeepers union. Shes not called the Hulk for no reason, racking up some great saves and skills with her feet even as Joe's second choice. What she lacks in command of the english language she makes up in utter chaos including hand gestures, shouting and eratic dancing, well as staging photoshoots at arsenal's gym.
Viki Schnaderbeck: shes been able to mostly avoid injury fc this season after a long stint there last year and her hardwork has paid off to establish her as a mainstay here as a skilled defensive player. Shes been loud and proud recently on social media and I am loudly and proudly here to support it
Vivianne Miedema: in Katie's own words “the goat”. Absolutely lethal as a center-forward, calm collected and composed in front of the goal, and also crucial in providing build up play and assists. She can both hold off opponents and reach an unmatched maximum speed with surprising ambidexterity and complete nonchalantness. The only player who is actively lazy and is able to get away with it. She puts up with a lot of chaos but is not unknown to add to it too, mainly providing subtle humor and sarcastic wit. Not a personality for the faint hearted.

Summary: Natsu and Lucy go on a job together, but what they bring home is something neither anticipated. As they work together on their toughest adventure yet, they find themselves drawn to one another, in ways they never realised. Nalu/cute/fluff/multi-chapter.

Natsu sighed, his breath visible in the brisk night air. Unable to sleep, he sat alone outside his house. His mind was distracted, it had been since the quarrel he'd had with his small flying companion.
He never fought with Happy, well, rarely enough for him not to remember anyway and because of it, the Exceed was refusing to speak to him. Sure, they had minor disagreements, tiffs were common place between friends and loved ones, but it never meant anything. This however, was something entirely different, something he knew the cat wouldn't forgive so easily.
"Still thinking about Happy?" A soft voice tore through his thoughts.
He peered over his shoulder at the sleepy blonde standing there, clad in next to nothing, shivering uncontrollably from the crisp autumn breeze.
"I thought you were sleeping?" Natsu replied, ignoring her question completely.
Seeking out a warmth that only the dragon slayer could provide, Lucy plonked herself down next to him and grazed her chilly hands against his bare arm.
"You're freezing! Why didn't you put more clothes on before coming out?" He removed his jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
"That's what I got you for! Duh!" She said, resting her head on his shoulder.
Playfully rolling his eyes at her statement, he cradled her hands in his, blowing hot air onto them. Once satisfied she wasn't going to freeze to death, he laid his head on top of hers, contented to have her next to him whilst he felt so down.
It had been a week since the altercation between Natsu and Happy, happening just as they were set to leave on a mission with the whole team. Originally, Natsu had been ecstatic about finally doing a job again with everyone, it'd been so long since they'd all worked together. It was going to be his first mission since Haru was just four weeks old and considering the little one was seven months now, he'd been dying to set something on fire.
But then, everything fell apart.
Distraught, Happy had ditched the job altogether and refused to listen to anyone who tried to persuade him otherwise. Natsu hated the idea of leaving without him in such circumstances, but did not have the luxury of bailing out himself. He and Lucy had another mouth to feed and no matter the situation, Haru came first.
It'd been a long mission, having only just returned home from it. Natsu had hoped after a week apart, the Exceed would've been ready to talk to him, but he'd been very wrong. Happy kept his distance and it was starting to really frustrate the fire mage. He valued all of his friends dearly, but the blue feline held a special place in his heart. The inseparable duo not on speaking terms was almost unfathomable, yet here they were and the poor boy was at a loss on how to make things better.
"So, are you gonna answer my question?" Lucy asked, startling the slayer once again, he'd forgotten she'd even said anything. Trying to remember her question, his mind was too muddled right now to think straight. "I asked if you were still thinking about Happy?"
"How can I not? It's too weird not having him here." Natsu looked down to his lap, feeling an emptiness without his friend at home. "I said I was sorry, what else can I do? I can't change what I did."
"I know, but try to see it from Happy's point of view. I imagine he was just as shocked as everyone else when you reprimanded him like that. You've never done that before." Lucy said, thinking back to the incident.
"I don't know what came over me, I shouldn't have called him irresponsible…"
"Or reckless, or careless, or immature… Sounds like someone else I know, hey Natsu?" She giggled at his cute pout.
"Hey, it's not funny!" He huffed childishly. "In my defence, I thought he had been—at the time! Haru could've gotten seriously hurt if I hadn't been there, but I still regret saying them now." He really did regret it. In the heat of the moment, words were exchanged that he wished he could take back.
They were all at the guild, helping to set up the hall for a local event and Happy had been charged with occupying the baby. The Exceed had sat Haru up on the bar top, having only just mastered the skill of sitting unaided, the infant was still a bit wobbly. Thinking the baby had gotten his balance, the cat let go for just a few seconds. In which time the little guy had fallen forward and toppled head first off of the side and nearly collided with the hard floor.
Luckily, Natsu had seen it happen and just managed to catch Haru in time before his head smacked the ground. The baby, of course, had been none the wiser, giggling and clapping his hands when he'd landed in his fathers firm hold, thinking it all a very fun game.
Although relieved to see that his son was unharmed, the slayer did not hold the same reprieve when he glanced up at his little friend. Happy had apologised profusely to the fire mage, however, pumped with adrenaline from watching Haru fall like that, the slayer hadn't taken a blind bit of notice. Further adding to Happy's mortification, Natsu scolded him like a child in front of the entire guild for how irresponsible he'd been, causing the cat to fly off in a huff.
"You were just being a protective father, no one blames you for that, Natsu. But, Happy didn't do it on purpose, you know that! You just didn't give him chance to explain." Lucy chuckled, shaking her head. Those two were such idiots sometimes! "You've got some grovelling to do when he does finally come home."
"Grovel?! But I already apologised!" He exclaimed, but one look from Lucy made him recoil, the guilt returning. "Fine, fine… Happy's pretty stubborn, if I don't do it, he definitely won't." Natsu sighed.
In the end, the cat hadn't really done anything wrong. It'd been an accident and now the fire mage would have to find some way to make it up to him.
"Why don't you take him fishing, just the two of you? You haven't done that in a while." Lucy asked. She could almost see the light go on in Natsu's brain at the suggestion. "It'll be good for you both to spend more time together, he's your best friend Natsu, you don't want him to feel left out."
"You think he feels left out?" Natsu looked down to his lap again, he didn't want Happy to feel pushed out, especially now that this had happened between them. The blue feline was a valued part of their family and now more than ever, he needed to be reminded of that. "I guess I have been busy with Haru, that I've not really noticed because he's always around."
"Babies do take up a lot of time, but a break to go fishing with Happy every now and then wouldn't hurt. Plus, Haru will be old enough to go with you before long." Over whelmed by how quickly the last seven months had gone, she smiled at all the memories they'd made. "It really has flown by, hasn't it? He was a tiny baby not moments ago and now look at him! Maybe he'll even say his first word soon?"
Natsu turned to look at her, feeling a warmth flood his body at the pretty smile on her face as she thought fondly of their son. "Wouldn't that be awesome?"
He couldn't believe it either, their little baby, the one they found so helpless that day had become such a happy boy, with so much love held within those chubby cheeks when he smiled. He'd grown into a very cute, chunky baby, that they couldn't be prouder of.
Leaving the conversation there, they fell into silence once again, looking out onto the horizon. Well, Lucy was—Natsu had his eyes set on something much more enthralling. Shining brilliantly with the sun, she made his heart flutter excitedly in his chest. The morning light had cast a warm glow to her angelic form, bringing out all of her natural beauty. To put it simply, she was stunning.
"Like what you see, Natsu?" She teased, feeling his eyes burning into her skull. She moved her head to look at him directly, an amused smile dawning her cheeks.
"I always like what I see when I look at you." Lucy felt herself shudder, he was so blunt sometimes but that's what she liked about him, there was no dancing around the bush with Natsu.
Even after being caught gawking, he kept his gaze on her, only this time she was staring right back. The gentleness of his expression made her yearn for his touch, her eyes flickering down to his lips, feeling a tug from an unknown but familiar force to kiss them.
He cupped her soft cheek, quirking his lips up at the delicate pink tinting her skin. Feeling that same yearning, he brought his mouth to hers. Soft, gentle and smooth, with enough pressure to send little vaults of electricity down into her stomach, eliciting a small contented sigh into his mouth. Their lips, having gained plenty of practice in the previous months, meshed together snugly, tongues interloping, losing themselves to the moment of beautiful uninterrupted bliss.
Breaking apart, Lucy stood herself up, a shiver taking over her body suddenly from feeling the bitterness of the wind again. She turned and offered her hand to Natsu and pulled him back inside. Cuddling up together in bed, Lucy hoped Natsu might get some needed rest now.
Lucy had made it her mission to try and take Natsu's mind off of the missing Exceed. He was always so ready to make her happy that for once an opportunity arose where she could repay the favour. She hadn't seen that face splitting grin in too long and was determined to make him smile as much as she could until he started to feel like himself again.
They'd decided to stay home, after a week long mission away from Haru, they wanted to spend some time with him and just relax. The first to wake, Lucy was already downstairs preparing breakfast by the time Natsu got himself up. Haru had been seated in his chair at the table, whilst Lucy busied herself in the kitchen.
"Morning Luce, whatcha making?" He mumbled whilst stretching, looking over to his partner who was busy washing up the pans she'd used for cooking.
"Morning Natsu!" She chirped, smiling sweetly over to him. "I've made your favourite and lots of it, so I hope you're hungry?" She said, plating it up and placing it on the table.
"Awesome! Thanks Lucy, I'm starving!"
He gave her a tired, half smile whilst walking over to the table and sitting down next to Haru, ruffling his hair. "Morning, little guy! What's Mama made you then?" He asked, noticing the baby had covered himself in whatever sticky substance he'd been given to eat. Natsu sniggered at the state the child was in and grabbed a wet cloth to clean him up. "Did you eat any, or just go straight to painting yourself in it?"
"It was little mashed up pieces of fruit. I was gonna feed it to him but he got there before me…" Lucy's sheepish grin made Natsu quirk his lips up and shake his head in amusement.
"Daddy does that as well. Only, I'm not cute like you so Mama likes to yell at me for it!" Natsu jokingly told the baby, turning to the sound of Lucy giggling. He retrieved what was left of the fruit in the bowl and began to spoon it into the little one's hungry mouth. "That's better, now you're actually getting some!"
Once they'd all finished, they sat around and played with Haru for the rest of the morning. Lucy sat back and watched Natsu chuck the baby into the air and catch him again, pretending he could fly. Whilst distracted, he seemed like his normal self, smiling and laughing, but there was still something that felt off, like he was missing that fire in his belly that he was so well known for.
Just as Natsu was about to chuck the infant back into the air, Haru let out a big yawn and began to rub at his eyes. "Did all that super cool flying make you sleepy?" Natsu said, bringing the baby into his chest so that he could snuggle in. Haru had closed his eyes the second his head touched Natsu's shoulder, sleeping soundly in the comforting warmth that surrounded him.
"So cute! Here, I'll take him upstairs to his room." Lucy whispered, gently taking the baby from Natsu and making her way to the stairwell.
Once returning to the living room, Natsu was nowhere to be seen. Lucy knew where he'd gone though, back outside no doubt to keep himself from getting bored. Seeing a bright light coming from the partially open front door, she walked over and peered out of it, watching as he made short work of burning all of the brown leaves with his fire breath, that'd fallen onto the grass around the house, then perched up against the offending tree, looking forlorn once again.
"What's it gonna take to cheer you up?" Lucy muttered under her breath, making her presence known and walking over to him.
"Huh? What do you mean? I'm fine!" Barely believing himself.
"Sure, that's why you're sat out here by yourself, setting leaves on fire?" Raising an eyebrow at him, she sat herself down on the now charred grass, courtesy of Natsu. "What did those leaves ever do to you?"
"They keep falling on my head, that's what!" Feigning annoyance, Natsu caught another leaf mid air and burnt it, making Lucy chuckle. No matter how blue he was, the sound of her laughter always made him feel brighter.
Silence yet again befell them, it was a comfortable silence but Lucy knew better than to assume it was because Natsu didn't have anything to say. She needed to distract him somehow, make him concentrate on something else for a while. Haru was always a good diversion and had been all morning, but he was now fast asleep so she needed to find something else. Then it hit her, she could totally use herself! Ideas flooded her mind at all the ways she could occupy her brooding partner.
Starting off gently, Lucy leaned forward, catching his attention as she ever so slowly brought herself within inches of his face. Natsu watched, a bemused expression taking over as she pressed her lips to his cheek then moved away again, smiling brightly, hoping he'd reciprocate. But to her dismay, he didn't say or do anything other than look at her like she was being weird. She huffed in frustration, this was going to be harder than she thought.
"Alright, cutesy not working for ya? Fine, I can do rough…"
Eyes widening, Natsu had no idea what she meant by that, but was soon to find out when the blonde eagerly plopped herself in his lap and grabbed his head, pulling him forward and taking his lips by force. Lucy mashed their mouths together in such a fierce and scorching kiss, it was enough to make his head spin. It was blisteringly hot, and full of dark promises, plunging her tongue deep into his mouth and nearly choking the poor guy.
He tangled his fingers into her hair, not knowing what else to do with his hands and tightened his grip, causing a light whimper to escape her mouth. Enjoying the roughness far more than expected, Lucy reluctantly pulled away, gasping for air. She stared into his eyes, his dazed and completely bewildered eyes.
"Are you trying to kill me, Lucy!" He panted heavily between each word, struggling to catch his breath, he felt both confused and aroused by her attack.
"Not even that worked?!" Dumbfounded, she couldn't believe a fiery kiss like that hadn't had the desired affect. "Right, well, you asked for it! If this is the only way, so be it!" She got up from his lap onto her feet and turned away, gathering herself for her next assault.
"Asked for what? I didn't ask for – WHOA!" He exclaimed, shocked by her sudden boot clad foot coming straight for his face. Luckily, he'd seen it just in time to push himself up out of the way before she made contact with the side of his head. "What the hell was that for?! I didn't do anything that time, I swear!"
"Fight me!" Were the only words she said.
Using the other foot that was currently holding her weight, she jumped up and round house kicked him straight in the chest, knocking the boy flying back and landing him flat on his ass.
"Aargh! Dammit Lucy, that really hurt!" Gritting his teeth, he rubbed at the sore area where her foot had made contact. He peered up at the cocky looking blonde standing there in a fighting stance. He was so confused, if he hadn't done anything wrong, then why was she trying to fight him? And then he realised… "Wait… fight you?"
"You brawl with everyone else, so why not with me?" She challenged him, knowing that she'd get a reaction from the fire boy eventually, she just had to say the right words. "Or are you scared I might win?"
"You're being serious right now?" Standing back up, Natsu raised his eyebrow at the smirking blonde, he just didn't understand what had come over her. This wasn't like Lucy, she hated fighting. She never got into any guild brawls and rarely chose violence over talking first. "You're not everyone else though? I don't wanna brawl with you, Lucy."
"Why not? I'm perfectly capable! I might even give you a run for your money… Or do you really think I'm that weak?"
Lucy knew that was a low blow and almost back pedalled when she saw the guilt appear in his expression, but she held strong. The blonde wasn't planning on taking it too far, but a little brawl might cheer him up just enough to put a smile back on his face and blow off some steam that he so clearly had built up inside him.
"What?! I never said- Aargh!" Distracted, he was thrown back once again, by yet another lethal kick, to the face this time.
She smirked, starting to feel a little smug at all the hits she was getting in while he was still holding back. Holding his sore cheek, Natsu realised then that he really didn't have a choice in the matter, it was either spar with his weirdo of a girlfriend or become her personal punching bag and that sounded quite painful. With his competitive streak finally seeping through, he stood himself up and wiped the blood from his mouth, dawning a smirk of his own.
"Alright, Luce, you're on! But don't think I'm gonna take it easy on you, you've had your hits, now it's my turn."
In a flash, he was right behind her, about to grab her arms and pin her down on the floor. Having anticipated that he'd go straight for the kill, to try and end this quickly, she threw her head back, crashing straight into Natsu's nose, making him yell out in pain. Lucy swivelled and ducked down whilst he was distracted, taking out his feet and watched him flail, landing him flat on his ass for the third time.
"Ow! That's not fair! You're fighting dirty!" He accused her, holding his nose until the throbbing stopped.
"Oh, poor little dragon doesn't like it when he gets beaten… Looks like I might win after all." Her voice was sickeningly sweet and filled with tease. She laughed mockingly, anticipating his next move while she taunted him.
Back on his feet in an instant, he readied himself for another attack. It was apparent that head on blows weren't going to work against Lucy. Although physically weaker than him, she was too smart and cunning for him to get to her like that. Natsu needed to figure out a way to subdue the girl, the quicker he did that, the sooner this, whatever this was, would be over.
He eyed her dangerously, she was obviously trying to provoke him and he hated to admit, it was working. Lucy's fighting prowess had really come a long way since they'd first met. Natsu felt pride swell in his chest at how well she held her own, even against a force like him. Many powerful mages in the past had struggled to lay even a single finger on him, yet here she was playing with fire and then goading him like it was nothing.
Even though he'd never gone up against her before, the fire mage had learnt through the years that she wasn't one to take lightly. That was becoming apparently obvious, having landed three separate strikes to him already.
"Don't get too cocky, ya just got lucky! It won't happen again!" He warned.
If Lucy wanted to fight dirty, then he would too. Having already made the detrimental mistake of challenging the fire dragon slayer, she naively followed by not setting any ground rules, which he was going to exploit to his full advantage.
He stood by for a moment, gauging her every move until he'd figured out a way to bring her down without going overboard, because this was Natsu after all and he had a slumbering baby to think about.
Taking him by surprise once again, there was no time to react before she rushed at him, dodging the fist he'd aimed right at her in a vain attempt to knock her down. Bringing out her whip, she slid along the floor, catching it around his ankles and yanking hard, toppling him over and watched him face plant the dirt.
"So much for it won't happen again! I was being serious about sparring and you're just making a mockery of me. It'd be different if I was Erza or Gray right now." Surely that would get him into gear? Lucy knew he was probably still unsure of her true intentions and that was the reason for him not going all out, but she wanted him to let loose and be the Natsu she'd always known. "I know I'm not as strong as they are, but now you're just rubbing it in!"
"You really think I'd do that?" His voice stern and his gaze held a seriousness that wasn't there before. Keeping true to her intentions, she did nothing but stare at him accusingly, waiting for him to react in the only way Natsu would.
Taken aback, he bore deep into her eyes, hoping to find a slither of falsity, anything that would tell him she was lying, but he found nothing. A sudden rush of adrenaline pumped through his body, a fire ignited within his belly, determined to prove her wrong.
Grabbing hold of the whip that was still wrapped around his ankle, he yanked it hard towards him. Lucy, of course, tried to pull back, not willing to let go of her precious celestial whip. But Natsu was simply too strong, bringing her closer until she fell straight into his arms. Quickly flipping them over, he pinned her to the floor and straddled her hips.
However, the blonde wasn't about to give up that easily, not until she got what she wanted. Grimacing up at him, Lucy thrust her hips right into his groin, yet another low blow, but necessary. With his eyes leaping out of his skull and a yelp of discomfort, she speedily switched their positions, with her now on top and him being pinned to the floor.
"Nice try, dragon boy, but you're still not trying hard enough!"
Her grip tightened on his wrists, knowing that if he truly wanted to, he could get out of her grasp, no problem. So she promptly used her magic to dawn Taurus' star dress, using the pervy cows strength to hold the slayer down.
"Jeez, Luce, when did you get this strong?!" Natsu asked surprised, pushing against his restraints and being met with equal amounts of force. He was testing Lucy for sure, finding it rather enjoyable. "Have you been training with that goat man again?"
"I wouldn't have to if you ever bothered to show an interest! You never even ask!" She was trying to push the boy further, he was still holding back and it was starting to frustrate her. "Go on then, Natsu! I know you're not really struggling! Stop treating me like some delicate flower and-"
Before she even knew what'd happened, Natsu had pushed against her and flipped them once again with her arms held down above her head. He was staring right at her, almost intimidatingly so as her Taurus form faded back to her own clothes. She glanced up into his piercing glare, curious to know what he was thinking after having obviously triggered him.
"Lucy… You're no delicate flower… trust me on that." His expression remained stern, like he was working through something in his mind. "You're right, I don't ask but only because I don't need to, you're the strongest person I know. But if that's still not enough for you to believe me then train with me? Show me what you're made of!"
Although not the purpose of this little exercise, she was pleased to hear him say that. It made her feel good that someone as powerful as Natsu recognised her capabilities as well. "I'd love to, Natsu." She smiled.
"Good." He smiled back at her. "And I gotta admit, you've surprised me, Luce. I don't let just anyone knock me down that many times and get away with it, so a word of advice for ya."
Leaning down to her face, his green eyes locked on to her pink lips and smirked as he claimed them eagerly with his own, rough and heavy just like their earlier kiss, proving he could be just as torrid. Detaching from her needy mouth, he studded small kisses across her jaw and up to her ear, where he whispered to her, sending a shiver down her spine.
"You should never let your guard down, Lucy." Hearing him chuckle made her realise her fatal mistake.
"Oh no…" She uttered, gazing upon the piercing glare of a very smug dragon slayer. She gulped thickly, knowing what was about to come. If she didn't get out of his hold soon, he would use her ultimate weakness against her.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He murmured sarcastically, enjoying the look of horror on her face. "Did you forget who you were up against?"
Her eyes were wide as he switched to hold both of her arms with one hand and without a moments hesitation, dug his fingers into all the places he knew would make her squirm with the other. He tickled her mercilessly, tears welling in her eyes from giggling so much and Natsu couldn't help but grin along with her, finding pure joy in making her laugh so hard that it made her cry.
"N-Natsu! St-Stop! Please!" Lucy begged, barely able to breathe from his hand ravaging her entire body. She couldn't control her movements, jerking and writhing beneath him as he continued his onslaught, only stopping to let her inhale some much needed oxygen.
"Do you give up?" Technically if she conceded now, he'd win, regardless of what underhanded tactics he'd used. Chest heaving, she stayed quiet, contemplating whether she should give up now or not. He grinned wickedly, preparing himself for his next attack, giving her exactly what she'd been after this whole time. "Surrender or I'll use both hands this time. It's up to you, Luce!"
The girl smiled up at him, happy to see his contagious grin back on that handsome face once again. She pulled her hands free from his loosened grip and sat herself up a little, so that she could reach his face. Placing her hand on his cheek and caressing it softly.
"That's all I wanted, was to see that sexy smile of yours. I give up, Natsu, you win." She said, kissing his lips tenderly then placing her head back on the ground.
"That's all you wanted? Pretty weird way of getting what you want, Luce. But I gotta say, it was fun!" This girl was such a weirdo sometimes, but then again, it had worked, she had cheered him up and had definitely got his blood pumping. Now he had the problem of wanting to let off steam in a different way, a more… intimate way. "You know, watching you fight has always been a huge turn on. Now I know fighting against you just makes that worse."
"So, you like being beat, do you? I didn't know you were a masochist! I'm sure Virgo has plenty of things I can punish you with." She sniggered, as his eyes widened in fear, not entirely sure how serious she was being. "Or would you prefer it if I was the one tied down, to do with as you pleased?" She smirked, feeling his member twitch in excitement, she rubbed it ever so gently with her thigh, turning him on even further.
"Hmm… I think I'd prefer that. I never knew you were into such kinky shit, Lucy." He growled, latching on to her neck and nipping at her sensitive skin. The mere thought of Lucy being tied up, begging him to please her, almost made him want to try it right where they lay, but a singular thought was enough to rip that away. "Wait, I'm not sure how I feel about Virgo knowing, she's creepy enough as it is…"
Lucy giggled, her own arousal faltering as images of them getting freaky were ruined by Virgo popping up in the middle of it, asking for punishment—well, if anything was a mood killer… "Shh! I don't wanna hear about Virgo when I'm trying to have my way with you."
"I like the sound of that even more!" He murmured, closing in on her, and kissing her passionately, the scent of her arousal taking over his senses, making him forget about everything but the beauty under him.
Lucy freed her legs from underneath him and wrapped them around his waist, using him as leverage to pull her hips up and rub her core against his erection. He growled against her mouth, approving of her ministrations. Not wanting to wait any longer, he reached down and pulled himself free of his pants and moved her underwear to the side, gently pushing himself into her and earning a guttural groan from her plump lips.
Heightened by their sparring, he thrust into her hard, making her eyes roll into the back of her head and cry out into the open air. In that moment, Natsu didn't care that they were outside and Lucy's loud moaning would give away to anyone within earshot what they were up to. He had so much pent up energy and as much as he loved fighting, fucking Lucy senseless was the best way to get rid of it. This didn't require any underhanded tactics, he simply allowed Lucy's reactions to guide him and the best part was, everyone was a winner.
"Yes, Natsu… Harder!" She gasped as he doubled in speed. In her haze, she felt the slight ache of her back being ground into the floor, but it was over taken by the intenseness of his relentless pounding. The roughness of it all was going to make her cum, that sweet knot inside her was just about ready to snap.
"Cum, Lucy!" He growled through gritted teeth, feeling her tightening around him.
She was so close, her eyes were shut tight, her breathing had become heavy and laboured and she was gripping onto Natsu's head like it was her lifeline. With one more forceful snap of his hips he came, unloading himself deep within her, a strangled moan escaping his lips.
Feeling him tense between her legs made Lucy shudder, gripping tightly around his shaft and greedily milking him for every last drop. Digging her fingers into his scalp, she pulled hard on his pink locks, her cries of ecstasy flying out with the wind.
Natsu took great enjoyment in watching her unravel and waited patiently for her to come down from her high, soaking in every last harsh breath and weary whimper. It was a new type of accomplishment, knowing that he and only he, could make Lucy feel like that.
Leaning down and grinning like a mad man, he kissed her with every last ounce of lust he had in him, thoroughly spent after their afternoon of wild activities. She kissed him back with just as much fire, burning deeply into their bellies.
"AAHHHH! NOT AGAIN!" They heard a small voice shriek from the distance.
Breaking apart, both mages heads twisted to where the noise had come from, their hearts beating rapidly and faces turning beet red, to see who had caught them in such a compromising position.
"Happy?" Natsu said, all arousal leaving his body as he gazed upon the little Exceed, shocked to see him floating there. "You're back?"
The blue cat was hovering there a few metres away, masking the embarrassment in his cheeks by averting his gaze away from the mages who'd obviously been up to naughty things, wanting no part in it. "Um… C-Carla told me I had to come and speak to you, but I can see that you're, uh, busy…" He went to turn around and leave, when Natsu shouted out to him, catching his attention again.
"No! Happy, wait! Uh—just give me a second…" The slayer yelled awkwardly, grateful the Exceed hadn't flown off yet.
He looked down to Lucy for approval, not wanting to just ditch her like this, but she simply smiled at him and kissed his cheek. This was what she'd been waiting for, knowing that once the pair made amends, everything would return to normal, she would have her family back together again.
"Go on, Natsu, don't worry about me. I'll make sure dinners ready for when you both come home, okay?"
Pulling her up into a sitting position, he slipped out of her and quickly adjusted himself before the Exceed looked over. Natsu jumped up onto his feet and drew Lucy up with him, feeling the strain of their actions on her back as she straightened herself up. Her underwear and skirt were now back to normal and all evidence of their intimacy now gone, both looking as innocent as ever.
"Thanks, Lucy! You're the best!" He grinned, kissing her mouth one last time before letting go of her hand and turning to run towards Happy, who'd been waiting patiently.
The young girl sighed and smiled as she watched them walk off towards the river. Once out of sight, she turned to make her way back inside the house, the sound of the baby stirring, catching her attention.
At first they remained quiet, sitting by the river with nothing but the sound of water rushing passed made it feel awkward between them. Natsu really didn't know what to say, he'd been running it through his head all day how he was going to apologise to his little friend, but now all words seemed to have vanished from his vocabulary.
"So…" Happy started, looking out onto the river. "I didn't know you guys were exhibitionists now."
"Happy!" Natsu exclaimed. Using his scarf to cover his cheeks as they flushed with embarrassment.
"What? I'm just saying! Being caught in the house wasn't enough for ya, so you ventured outside this time?" Happy said, a devilish smirk appearing on his face.
"Shh! Lucy will gut you if she hears you say that!" Natsu darted his head around quickly to make sure the blonde hadn't followed.
This hadn't been the first time the cat had caught them in the act, or the second… or third for that matter. He had a habit of popping up at the most inconvenient of times, although Happy would argue that they were always at it, so it was never truly safe. It was a wonder it hadn't traumatised the poor cat for life. But Happy simply giggled cheekily, shocking Natsu for a moment until he too found the humour in it all.
"It's nice to smile again. I haven't since-" All mirth had gone from the cats face as he looked down to the grass in front of him, feeling saddened as he remembered the incident. "I really didn't mean to cause any trouble, I was just trying to entertain him. I didn't think he'd fall off of the bar that suddenly, I only let go for two seconds."
Happy felt tears well in his eyes as he turned to his best friend. He'd had a lot of time over the past week to think about what'd happened and what could've happened if Natsu hadn't been there to save little Haru.
"Happy, it's o-"
"No, Natsu, it's not okay!" He interrupted the dragon slayer, who instantly shut his mouth, allowing Happy to continue. "You were right, I was careless and irresponsible. I could've seriously hurt him and then what would you have done? You don't want someone like me around, I don't deserve your friendship!"
Feeling like utter shit, Natsu couldn't believe Happy had come to that conclusion. The fact of the matter was, nothing bad had actually happened and speaking in hypotheticals was a waste of energy. All the slayer wanted was his friend back, by hook or by crook, Happy was going to come home with him, because that's where he belonged.
He was going to make this right, Lucy was counting on him to make it right and he'd be damned if Happy thought he was going to be walking away from here without him as his friend. That would never happen! Natsu leaned over and pulled the now crying Exceed into his lap, holding him close until his bawling calmed into whimpers.
"Happy, I will always be your friend, that I know for sure." The slayer sighed, he wasn't good with emotion or talking about said emotions but he was trying, for Happy's sake. "Look at everything we've been through together, you think I'd let you leave alone? I never meant any of what I said to you, Happy, but I couldn't stop it from coming out. Looks like we've both got a lot to learn, huh?"
Happy, having stopped crying, looked up to Natsu's solemn face and watched as he went through the motions. This argument had been their biggest to date and it'd affected them both greatly. It seems even the care-free, rambunctious hot head, wasn't immune to the stresses of life, especially those that came with being a father.
Natsu never saw caring for Haru as stressful, he enjoyed everything there was about being his dad, but having a child was still an extra responsibility and that came with added worry, something the slayer was very unfamiliar with. It was the only reason why he'd reacted like that towards Happy, why he'd been unable to control himself when Haru took that fall.
"I know I don't spend as much time with you now, but that doesn't mean I don't want you around. In fact, having you there makes everything feel normal. You're the one thing that's always remained the same through all of our adventures and I never want that to change. You'll always be my best friend, Happy." Natsu finished, hoping he'd managed to convey just how important the flying cat was to their little family dynamic.
"You're my best friend too, Natsu." The little Exceed felt hope build within his small frame. "Does that mean you're not angry with me any more?"
"Of course not, Happy. I never really was. I just want you to come home."
"Fine… I'll come home then on one condition…" Happy smirked, his stomach rumbling. Natsu tilted his head in curiosity, what did the blue cat want? "I can have fish for dinner, I'm starving!" The cat began to drool, thinking of all the little fishes.
Natsu began to snigger which quickly turned into a full blown laugh, all these emotions were sending him doolally apparently. He'd had a feeling the request would be fish related and he was right. Patting the little guy on the head who also started to snicker. The fire mage nodded, relieved that everything had fallen back into place.
"Kissed and made up yet?" A female voice broke through Natsu and Happy's laughter, snapping their heads to the beautiful blonde standing there. Clad in appropriate clothing this time with a basket in one hand and a baby in the other, smiling happily at the two on the ground.
"Lucy? I didn't hear you coming, I thought you were gonna stay home?" Natsu asked, surprised but happy to see her.
"I didn't know how long you'd be, so I thought I'd bring dinner to you guys instead." She said, placing the basket down on the floor and plopping the little one into Natsu's lap. But before she had chance to sit down herself, Happy flew at her, barrelling into her chest and wailed like a child.
"Lucy! I missed you!" He yelled excitedly, snuggling into her chest. "Did you bring me fish?!"
"Of course! Raw and smelly, just how you like it." She chuckled at the grin on the Exceed's face, plonking herself down by the basket.
They sat along the river bank until the early evening, enjoying their dinner and telling Happy all about the mission they'd been on. Everything seemed normal again, like the fall out had never happened. Everyone was smiling and talking, even Haru was trying to join in on the conversation with his babbling.
"Let's get a look at ya then." Happy said, walking over to the little one. Haru, who was still sat in Natsu's lap, grinned widely as he laid eyes on the cat. Haru tried to lean forward to grab hold of the cats whiskers, but missed and fell forwards again, but this time Happy was right there to catch him, lifting him up into the air. "Wow! You're getting heavy! Just like your Mommy…"
He smirked evilly and looked over to Lucy, who's expression turned sinister. With a sense of foreboding hanging in the air, Natsu took the baby back from the cat and slowly moved away from the now steaming blonde, mouthing to Happy to run for it before she skinned him alive.
"That's it!" She yelled, like a battle cry. Storming over to the Exceed, her Cancer form appearing with two large blades pointing directly at the felines throat, scarily resembling a certain red head. "Say that again, I dare you!"
"WAH! Natsu, help! She's gonna kill me!" Happy screamed, flying into the air rapidly and shooting off into the distance, with the stellar mage hot on his tail.
Natsu watched them both run off into the trees, furrowing his brows he looked to the baby in his arms, who was busy playing with the white scarf. "And they say I'm the impulsive one?" Shaking his head, he casually made his way into the woods, hoping Lucy hadn't killed Happy before he got there to rescue him.

[Snowball Warzone] - Sleepyboisinc Fanfic
{Family Dynamic only, no relationships at all in this story}
[This story is set back when they were young and Phil still took care of them]
"I here by declare this land to be SNOW VILE" Tommy shouted at the top of his lungs on the small snow mound he was standing upon at the moment. Making Wilbur and Tubbo glance back at him in confusion as they were making snow angles on the other side of the yard. Tommy watched them confidently with a smirk on his face as they got up. Taking note of the devilish look in Wilbur's eyes. Brushing the snow of of his hands so he could wipe his nose with out making his face cold and wet.
"Why Snow Vile Tommy....aren't there other names you could have chose from?" Tubbo asked  as he sat up from laying back on the snow. Noticing Wilbur doing the same as he brushed the snow off the back of his hat. Tommy flashed him a smile as he shrugged his shoulders slightly in return. Meaning it was a split second decision he had made and didn't put much thought in to it at all.
"Because Tubbo, as President I have thought long and hard about this decision on the name and that is what I have come up with....not totally because I randomly just thought about it right now not at all no" Tommy replied with a laugh as he bent down and wiped some of the snow off of his knees. Regretting his sitting position while he was piling the snow for his mound in the first place earlier on. The boys had gone out to play in the fresh snow that occurred the night before hand. Begging to go out last night but Phil convinced them it wasn't safe enough to go out in the first place and to wait for morning. The snow was one of their favorite things to happen in the year for many reasons. It was fun to play in, started wars and adventures and it also brought the family closer together. It meant to Christmas was just around the corner and the up coming days for it were always memorable among them all. But the blonde couldn't get much in to it, for now he needed to start his new nation of snowmen and women. Who knows how long it would take for him to make them all before sun down at the rate.
"Wilbur could you help me make a flag for my hill, I think it would be good for my country and my soon to be snow people that I will rule over!" Tommy asked as he glanced back over to the brunette where he thought he had last seen him. Surprised to find a snowball coming at him quickly with laughter following behind. The blond fell to the ground, over doing the dramatic side a bit as he laid there. Holding his chest where he had gotten hit like he had been killed. Hearing Tubbo scream his name before landing on the ground next to him in sadness. Bringing his head up on to his lap as his eyes were slowly shutting.
"NO Mr president Don't DIE no!" He yelled, not even above the age of 11 and he knew what that meant already. To everyone's surprise Tubbo did know a lot of things that no one thought he would. Maybe the fact that he had some small trouble reading made everyone think he didn't know about important stuff. But the looks on their faces when he did say something no one knew were priceless.
"t-tubbo....my friend...m-my vice president"
"yes Mr president what do you need?"
"come....c-closer to me Tubbo...I-I need to tell you something....something very i-important"
"what? what is it Tommy......please tell me?"
"......tell Wilbur......that I ate his last cookie inside....and"
"Yes and what?"
"that....he sucks!" Tommy said before letting his head fall back to act like he was dead. Snickering as he heard Tubbo cry out his name in agony and sadness as they sat there in the cold snow.  But the scene was broken by the laughter that filled the air by all of them. Tommy soon raised his head as Tubbo fell back on to the ground with laughter. They couldn't contain it any more and their show was now sort of over.
"Sike I'm still alive Bitch!"
"Tommy watch your mouth!"
"sorry sorry....but I'm still alive and I declare war on your country Wilbur! With Tubbo on my side we will foil your plans you terrorist! You will feel the pain and suffering of Snow vile for your actions!" Tommy shouted as he helped Tubbo up off the floor, trying to hold back his laughs still as they raced over to the mound. Or the city capital as Tommy would say. Trying to build up their wall for the war that was about to happen and get so much worse between them.
---------------------------------
Phil just watched from inside as they all played the scene in front of him like a show. Laughing at their acting and their show as he gathered things to make hot chocolate for when they came in for breakfast. As he stood there by the window he heard the stairs creak behind him and a small muffled yawn. Turning around to see Techno standing there with an unimpressed look on his face as he came down. It seemed he had a rough night, and depending on how he was acting was what side of the bed he slept on too. Phil smiled warmly at him, the smile was returned as the young pig hybrid covered his mouth as he yawned once more. The small bags underneath his eyes told all. Running his hands through his hair to untangle the knots from his restless sleep he had.
"They're outside if you're wondering, raced straight out there as soon as they woke up.....Your things are by the door, I also fixed your gloves since they had a rip in them that you neglected to tell me about" Phil said calmly as he sat the coco mix on the counter top. Making his way over to the fridge for the rest of the ingredients he needed. The small grunt was heard a reply, telling him okay from how many times Techno has done it before hand.
"Sorry about that Phil, just slipped my *yawn* mind a little bit....you know I have trouble remembering somethings with my low attention span" Techno replied with a sly smirk, Phil couldn't help but giggle as he nodded his head.
"That is true, but could you just come to me next time? You know I have spares in the closet some where"
"I suppose" Techno replied, meaning that he wouldn't really remember to after this conversation. The blonde  adventurer smiled softly at him in return as he watched him glance out the window quickly. Phil could tell from the very start Techno was not and never a morning person. But after a few minutes he was back to his normal attitude he had most of the time. Waking him up was the worst thing though if they all needed to do something.
Techno sighed as he grabbed his light jacket, gloves and hat. Being that he was a piglin hybrid his body warmed up naturally very easy. Making it apparent that he didn't need much to keep him warm and assured Phil he was fine several times about it. But warm biomes were in fact one of his worst enemies at the moment from how hot he could get.
"Make sure you don't beat them to bad Techno" Phil commented quickly, knowing how competitive he could get. Techno glanced back at him with an evil smirk on his face, watching Phil roll his eyes slightly as he ran some fresh water in to some of the cups.
"How ever do you mean Philza....that is something I would never do......are you implying something?" Techno replied sarcastically back as he crossed his arms slightly, hoping Phil would get that he was joking. Earning a laugh from his father figure as he worked at the counter, he did get that he was joking then which was good. He wouldn't admit it but Phil did have a point about his competitiveness. It wasn't as bad as Tommy's ego though which was something he couldn't let him add on to when beating him at a snowball fight outside. He would hear it from him for weeks that he was beaten by him and like Tommy says was beaten by the alpha male.
"Nah mate, just go and have some fun before breakfast is ready kid." Phil replied with a soft grin, noticing Techno's eyes softening from his sarcastic expression. Technoblade flashed Phil one last smile before heading outside the warm house he wanted to stay in overall. He would rather stay inside with Phil then out in a cold war zone. Immediately regretting his decision as soon as he stepped foot out there, his face being met with a snow ball from the left side of the yard. The yard went silent as they're eyes landed on him standing there. Wiping the snow off of his face with an annoyed look that said all. Tommy knew that was his snow ball too, he knew he was in big trouble if Techno knew that. He was screwed, his could feel the blank stare and his blood ran cold. Chewing on his bottom lip out of nervousness.
"Well if it isn't The mighty Blade waking up finally! You're on our property you terrorist! Pay your taxes by giving us cookies or LEAVE" Tommy shouted, confusing the hybrid standing there with a poker face almost. The blonde was trying to cover up the tension and his nervousness by his shouting. The look on Tubbo's was changed once he heard Tommy say those words. Realizing they could have used Techno's help against Will to make it a somewhat fair fight. But now that the two older kids were on the same side there was no telling what could really happen between the groups. Techno looked over to Will , watching the brunette shrug his shoulders with a smile as he continued the ball snow in his hands. The hybrid smirked slightly as he turned his gaze back to Tommy standing there.  Trying to appear taller almost as he stood to show dominance., ignoring the fact that both Will and techno were taller then him by a lot. Taking notice on his anxiousness as he stood there with fake confidence. He already knew he was screwed the moment Techno took a step outside. Techno could use that fear against them, but today he felt like being a little nice at least for now anyway.
"YOU KNOW I HATE GOVERNMENTS AS MUCH AS I HATE ORPHANS TOMMY! NOW YOU SHALL FEEL THE WRATH OF ME THESEUS! WE WILL DESTROY YOUR LAND" Techno shouted to play along with their game they played. He busted in to a sprint over toward Wilbur behind his snow and ice built wall. Hearing laughing and shouting on the other side of the yard from the youngest duo taking camp there. The tension between them all fell as soon as they heard Techno speak.
"Took you long enough! I needed the back up, they've been at it all morning ever since I tried to assassinate Tommy earlier when he built the mound"
"Sorry, you know I don't do well with mornings Willbur"  Techno replied as he started to grab some snow off the ground. Making snow balls to add to his pile as ones were being thrown over their wall by the two youngest boys on the opposite side of the yard. He smirked as he chucked one over their wall. Hearing a faint scream from Tubbo in return which meant he managed to hit him with only a quick glance for accuracy. Wilbur started to laugh as he threw more over, he didn't even look he was just throwing them over the wall. Tommy screamed as he ducked, yelling at Wilbur with words no one could even understand.
"TUBBO DO SOMETHING!" Tommy screamed as he covered his head as more snow balls were being thrown at them. Watching as the brunette tried to throw some back in return but failed miserably.
"I'M TRYING TOMMY! HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MANY SNOWBALLS PREPARED!!" Tubbo yelled back to them, hearing laughter loudly erupting from their side. Techno stood up with a sly smirk as he showed the snowballs in his hands he made. Now that he was standing up he could get a better shot at them from where he was. The piglin hybrid took his shot, hitting Tubbo twice as he tried to throw more snowballs Tommy had made. He even managed to get Tommy in the arm as well. Hearing his shrieking and laughing as he ducked down for more cover. They really did stand no chance against them both, they should have had Techno on their side when they had the chance to recruit him. Now he was the reason why they were loosing so poorly. Who knew the mostly antisocial piglin hybrid would be so good about snowball fights.
"Why don't you guys just give up already and let us take over your land? you have clearly been defeated by us!" Wilbur shouted at the both of them from his side. Standing up with no fear at all of them trying to attack. Tommy looked over at Tubbo who stood up with his hands in the air,
"Tubbo what are you doing!"
"Tommy...I er Mr. president we stand no chance against them. As your vice president I advise you that we should give up in defeat"
"But we can't!.....No I'm not giving up!" Tommy said as he stood up, giving techno the challenge of changing his mind. Technoblade smirked as he threw another snowball at him, hitting him square in the chest. Tommy sighed as he wiped off the snow, realizing his defeat was the best moment Techno has had this whole time fighting them.
"B-But we can't give up Tubbo-" As soon as he was about ready to continue Tubbo started to scream. Hearing Wilbur's laughter coming closer toward them,
"Air Strike!" The brunette yelled as he ran as fast as he could and dumped the mound of snow he gathered in his arms on him. Covering Tommy's head and shoulders the white fluff that made him freeze in his spot. At first he didn't know how to react, but then everything set in. His vocal cords should have been damaged after the scream he had let out. Hitting Wilbur's arm as he cussed him out with only the few words he knew so far. But because of his height difference he was only hitting his forearm and hip. Leaving Wilbur in a laughing mess as they all stood there near the mound.
"Well I can safely say it is my honor to take over Snow Vile and run this country as my own chaotic one. Banishing these two to do all the work for ever!" Wilbur said with his own little evil laugh as Tommy stepped down from the mound. But even with their win Techno wasn't finished yet, not until the country was destroyed for good. The piglin hybrid uncovered another snow ball from within his coat pocket that was covered by his cloak. The brunette flinched as he felt it hit him in the dead center of his back. He turned in awe as he saw Techno running closer.
"NO BODY CAN HAVE THE GOVERNMENT, NOT IF I'M AROUND!" He yelled as he tackled Wilbur to the snow covered ground, glad the the snow piles covered their fall as they laid there on the ground. Laughing at each other as they laid there, surprisingly WIlbur didn't get as cold as he thought he would because of Techno's heat. Soon having Tubbo and Tommy follow their lead and add on to the pile after Wilbur was done putting snow in Techno's hair as pay back. They were all laughing as they laid there especially at Wilbur's attempts to get up off of the ground. His complains got louder about how cold his back was but the only thing that changed was Tommy added some snow on to his neck and face once he got up off the dog pile as he would call it.
"Kids come on! Breakfast is done and you don't want your hot chocolate to get cold as in you Tommy"
"But Phil they took my country and you know it's not good when it's cold. It's just chocolate water soup after that!"
"No you mean my country"
"It was mine first you terrorist" Tommy replied, noticing Tubbo and Techno had gotten off of Wilbur and started to head to the door. Wilbur smirked as he shook the snow off of him, throwing some at Tommy before sprinting toward the door. Past Techno and Tubbo on the way in in order to get away from the little gremlin that chased after him. Phil rolled his eyes as he let the other two boys inside and shut the door after. Hearing the bickering subside at the table as they started eating. Knowing that it would soon return once they were done and would head back outside to finish what war they have started.
