You know, I feel like we're not talking enough about the fact that Alastor has in his room a full reproduction (?) of a swamp-forest that's highly likely very similar to the one where he was killed. Talk about being morbid.
Edit: someone pointed out in the comments that the swamp-forest is called bayou. It's a kind of ecosystem in Louisiana.

Mc disappears without telling anyone
Demon brothers x gn!MC that has a tendency to disappear without telling anyone
This was inspired by a chat where EVERYONE was worried sick when MC left for some task. If everyone panics that much when they know where MC goes imagine the chaos of MC never telling them where they disappear to.
Lucifer
Season 1 Lucifer wouldn't care as much. Any other Lucifer would be worried sick but would try to hide it.
This bitch would look down on his brothers for acting so irational only to start asking 100 questions about where MC is the moment someone mentions their name. Hypocrite much?
The first time it happened he thought some demon did something to MC and was prepared to kill someone...only to find MC chilling in some random restaurant on the other side of Devildom
The punishment MC got is one to remember...it still didn't change shit cause the following week they disappeared again.
After like 3 heart attack because of them he gets used to it. He is still worried sick but is not as panicked.
Once MC gets better at magic he really isn't that worried they will get hurt, he is more worried they will get in trouble for other random stuff.
Mammon
The first time MC disappeared it was after insulting them in his tsundure fashion. Since it was the begging of the exchange prorhram he was still really confused about his feelings.
When he first learned they disappeared he panicked thinking about what kind of punishement Lucifer would give him. He kept telling himself it was only because of that. He didnt get attached to them, he wasn't worried about them, he wasn't hoping he could spend another day with them...no not at all.
While on his search those thoughts shifted to the few good memories they have made together up until that point. Once he finally found he felt a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders.
This cycle continues on numerous occasions and each time he denies he was worried about them at least until around the time of season 2, then he gets a bit of honest with his feeling
He uses his crows in order to find them faster. Because of that MC carries snacks for the crows each time they leave to go who knows where.
Lucifer still finds out about this and punishes both Mammon and MC. Mammon for losing them and MC for disappearing.
Leviathan
He really thought MC left because they didn't want to spend time with him anymore. He blamed himself thinking they ran away from them MC was buying instant noodlss.
MC had to explain to him that it was just a habit they had. The first few times Levi got so mad he refused to let them into his room.
After a while he notices how despite always disappearing MC always made it to their game/anime nights. It was because of that he started to believe them and stopped getting mad.
He still got insecure about it from time to time, but looking at all the times MC made time for him always managed to get him out of his bad state of mind
He gives MC lists of things to buy for when they disappear. If they are away from home they may as well buy it for him.
He starts overthinking if they are away for too long. What if a demon actually hurt them and he wasnt there?! He was such a bad friend for not protecting them. someone slap some sense into him
Satan
Got into detective mode when you first disappeared. He thought over all the things he could have happened. Random demon on the street eating you? Demon from RAD wanting to make MC pay for beating them at a game? Kidnapping in order to ask for money?
All of them seemed like they could be true which got him even more worried. He was prepared for the worst case scenario only to find MC in a random park petting cats.
He texted everyone to let them know he found MC and then sat with them so he can also play with that cats too. He did scold them about the dangers of going alone in Devildom especially since they don't know magic
When he is mad he often disappears without really telling anyone(this is shown in season 4) so he does understand the need to disappear and be alone.
He went out of his way to teach MC defensive spells and made a few potions for them. He won't stop them from going alone without telling anyone, but he still wants to keep them safe.
Asmodeus
He found out about their weird habit when he saw them in one of his friend's story on devilgram. He didn't really knew they disappeared, he put the pieces together when he saw his brothers freaking out.
Honestly he is quite livid cause all of the worst case scenarios went through his head for a second.
But since he is someone that often sneaks out for parties he's aware that forbidding MC from going alone without letting anyone know won't do shit, it might make the situation even worse.
That's why came up with 'Find the MC' game for his followers. He posts on his story 'find the MC' and in less than 5 minutes gets at least 60 messages and photos of where they are. His fans think it's just a game but for him it's a way to know that they are safe.
He invites MC a lot to his room to ask them about their latest disappearance and what were they up to. 80% it's just for gossiping and the other 20% it's to make sure no one bothered them and they were safe.
His father help any demon that may bother MC cause he will make sure that not only would they have no more social life, but no sexual life either.
Beelzebub
Is in a tie with Mammon on who panics the most and goes immediately to search for MC...without telling anyone. The other brothers just assumed they two went together somewhere since both of them were gone.
He finds you pretty fast, prepared to fight someone but instead MC offers him one of their fried potatoes they just bought as peace offer. He accepts it but he is still a bit mad at them.
If this happens around the incident from season 1 where Lucifer attacks he may or may not have a nightmare. Just maybe.
The only person MC will send a message to if they are gone for too long cause they hate seeing him sad. They also bring him food everytime they come back.
Beel offered to come pick them up from wherever they are once they are ready to come home. He still wants to be able to protect them.
He also teaches them how to defend themself. It might not be the best option against demons, but it's better to be prepared than sorry.
Belphegor
He finds out about it when he goes into their room to ask if they want to sleep together for that night and they weren't there.
Woke up the whole house, and not even in a gentle way. He used his magic to literally force them out of their dreams so they could help him figure out where MC disappeared to.
If anyone looked at him they would think he is annoyed but that's just his face when he mad, stressed, worried.
His method of keeping MC from disappearing? Make them take naps with him. Can't go anywhere if they are sleeping
And it worked for a while, until he woke up alone and no one knew where they went. At that point he kind of gives up from keeping MC from disappearing but he still is worried every time no one knows where they are.
He starts sleeping by the entrance MC uses the most so he knows when they come home. That way he can be sure to know that they made it back safe.
MC tripped a few times over him until they got used to it. It became sort of a routine for when MC disappears near bed time for Belphegor to sleep next to the entrance and once MC comes home to go sleep in their room. He says they make for a good body pillow, and while that is true it's also nice to be able to actually feel them being next to him
BONUS:
After MC's first time going back to the human world the brothers were worried sick when MC would disappear since they were no longer there to help them if something happened.
Yeah there are more humans than demons but still! Shit happens in the human world too!
Their greatest fear about them disappearing tho is the fact that they may lose contact with MC. Since MC is in the human world and they're in Devildom there is nothing stopping MC from disappearing from their life for good without them even realizing it.
This all changed when MC fell from the sky right on top of Satan when they came back to Devildom with Solomon.

Tomura's Kill count in Canon
I'm done with people calling Tomura a "sadistic genocidal mass murder who killed millions" BECAUSE HE ISN'T.
So, i finally decided to prove it my self.
So today I'll be listing EVERY person Tomura killed! With his reasons too.
Tumblr media
1- His father, his first intentional kill and one of the few he felt a thrill or pleasure, justified since he abused him.
Tumblr media
3- The two thugs, he killed them under AFO's pressure, and if you pay attention, he was wheezing during it the same way he did during his panic attacks.
Tumblr media
Time skip to the present:
USJ had no kills (despite his attempts), Stain's arc had no kills either (except some papers and a binocular, RIP). No kills even during Kamino, as he seemed to not even want to kill Bakugou.
Tumblr media
Tomura's first kill, chronologically, in the entire series, is ironically, only on the 4th season, and 11th story arc (Shie Hassaikai Arc)
4 kills so far, one of Overhaul's man, this kill was literally self defense (and revenge)
Tumblr media
5- The cop driving the police car, guarding the ambulance Ovehaul was in (we don't know if he died or just lost his hand though, it might not have even been intentional considering he aimed to the steering wheel)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we have the Overhaul arm snatching scene, the only moment Tomura is shown as actually sadistic so far.
Totally owned though, Overhaul shouldn't have threatened him, killed and injured his friends
Then, we move to the MVA arc, where the real kill count starts
First, we have a unknown number of kills, when the league visits Creature Rejection Clan, there was around 20 visible members, assuming the kills where shared equally though the League, we can say Tomura killed around 5 or 6 of these guys.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which he did with no Sadistic glee, actually, so far, he either kills with no emotions, or seems bothered by it (Also, racists, so owned 💅)
Anyways, around 10 kills by now.
2 kills, then i could count 32 people, so 44 kills.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering Deika had 110,000 Meta Liberation members, and that good part of these people had died by GigantoMachia, Twice, Dabi and others.
We don't know though, how many where killed by Tomura's decay wave.
In the end Hawks had reported around 9,946 MLA members dead
Tumblr media
I don't know if the kill wave should be counted though- since they weren't direct intentional kills
So by far Tomura has killed around 7,000 people, but none of them where innocent people (except that cop rip) People left alive:
Tumblr media
Now we move to the Paranormal Liberation War Arc
First kill being X-less, then once again a unknown number of both heroes and villains killed by the decay wave, let's count the visible/shown deaths.
Crust, these 2 guys, some of the list- around 15 kills by Tomura
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since the city was evacuated, no one died besides a few heroes.
Tomura didn't kill anyone else during his fight against Endeavor and Izuku, so now we move on, with a kill count of around 61 visible kills and hmm.. 8,000 off screen?
I won't count any kill during the Tartarus scape since these where clearly by All for One
So we move to Stars and Stripes! Since here Tomura and AFO's personality where already half way, i'll count thise ones too. So more 2 kills here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then the final arc begins, but despite the absolute mess the fight against Tomura in the UA cage was- it had no deaths besides Bakugou.
Tumblr media
FINAL COUNT:
On screen kills by Tomura: 61 kills
Kills counting ShigAFO: around 64
Kills counting off-screen deaths: around 1,000 to 9,000
Bonus: Nine lol
Ngl, owned too
Tumblr media
Now you're probably thinking: uhh- that's still a lot of people.
But the thing is, he killed much less than it looks like, literally all kills where out of self defense or necessity, very few in the list where innocent people, the vast majority are villains, and he never killed for pleasure or in a act of sadism.
Actually, he had very good reasons to kill each one of them.
Yes yes, he did attempt to kill much more, but he didn't.. Even if he did kill "millions" because of Deika- he's still not the monster he is portrayed by some.
Like come on, if you had an entire city trying to kill you, you wouldn't try to defend your self in your way to rescue a friend? If someone threatened you and had brutally killed your friend and taken another's arm, you wouldn't feel joy in vengeance?
Anyways, Tomura is innocent
"The reason why he killed them or how he felt doesn't change the fact he killed them!"
If so same for Gran Torino's "killing is a form of saving" ass!
Like come on, look at him!
Tumblr media
Anyways, my job here is done 😌

Threshold of Humanity: so about those demons huh?
Today, I conclude that the way Qifrey stands in doorways is the strongest proof we’ve had so far that Qifrey is, in fact, not human, but an artificial being born of forbidden magic. Or, as the witch society seems to name them, a “demon”.
Lots of images and spoilers up to chapter 69 under the cut!
On the outside looking in
Tumblr media
Let’s start by saying that in this chapter, Qifrey is back to his old habit of looking as suspicious as humanely possible. The first page is the only one where we briefly see his eye, with a look I want to describe as sorrowful, bitter and knowing. For the rest of the scene his face will stay partially hidden, and he never looks full on at the castle guard he is speaking to. His demeanor is distant, in contrast to the guard’s confusion and panic. In fact, it is a little funny how dodgy he is acting, given that he does nothing but noble deeds this entire chapter – bringing an escaped criminal back into custody, taking his apprentice to safety, safeguarding the medical tower against further attacks with a layer of salt.
So far, this looks like Qifrey’s classic brand of guilt-ridden self-sabotage, but the framing of the scene provides extra context. The threshold to Ezrest’s castle acts as a physical barrier separating Qifrey from the other man. During those three pages, they are both often shown framed by that doorway: the guard safe within the walls, contrasting Qifrey the outsider. The first page has a gust of wind pushing his robes around him, like an invisible force keeping him back. And we do know, because Qifrey emphasises this again for us, that this castle does indeed possess a natural repulsive force that keeps out monsters.
We are told in chapter 47 that, not only drawing magic within Ezrest castle won’t function, but that the castle’s walls repels all magical artefacts. It is because of that property that, when Coco notices that the leeches have not approached the castles’ walls, Qifrey immediately concludes that their current monstrous form is the result of a magical experiment.
Tumblr media
Of course, “demons” are not the only beings who would be unable to enter the castle: any active spell should be repelled, meaning that Olruggio, for instance, can’t enter with his beautifying mask. Coco, with the bracelet stuck around her wrist, technically shouldn’t be able to enter at all, and the same goes for the characters with active magic drawn directy on their skin, like Coustas, Dagda and Eunie. In fact, even if he were perfectly human, it would be only natural for Qifrey to not step inside, since he couldn’t go in without taking off his glasses, which contain spells both to hide his scar and to protect him from harsh light.
And yet. I can’t help but see a very pointed parallel between Qifrey’s confidence that the castle will repel monsters, and the way the castle’s entrance seems to subtly repel him. In particular because it adds on to a long series of scenes featuring Qifrey’s anxieties around unnatural, magically created beings. This is at least the third time Qifrey brings up the creation of monsters in the days before the pact, which he calls “terrifying” and “a disgusting form of magic”. If the illustrations for those scenes are a glimpse into his mind, then it’s a mind full of nightmares. During their fight, the rogue Sage Engendil also lampshades how curiously familiar Qifrey seems to be with demons. Qifrey furthermore muses that he knows demons haven’t gone extinct, and in fact are still being created by witches to this day.
Tumblr media
The demon in human skin
In short, my opinion is that chapters 68 and 69 together strongly hint at us that Qifrey is, or perceives himself as a demon. Now the question is: what new information would this reveal give us about him, his quest, and the way he has behaved so far?
First, we need to try and actually define what does and doesn’t count as a demon in that universe. Qifrey’s first halting description is “a monster, created with magic and by the hands of a witch”. A distinction is also made between magically altered animals that have adapted to their ecosystems and are useful or at least harmless to humans, and ferocious, uncontrollable beasts. So a demon is a new lifeform, artificially created through magic, that is inherently dangerous. The petty criminal from chapter 49 that got turned into a mindless and violent mass of giant leeches ticks all those boxes. Going by that logic, Coustas and Eunie wouldn’t fall into that category despite not being able to enter the Ezrest castle: modifying some of your body parts, or being turned into an existing animal wouldn’t count. Even Sasaran from the second test doesn’t seem to count as a demon: despite being hybridized with an animal, his consciousness hasn’t been affected and so he can’t be described as an “uncontrollable beast”, just a very heavily modified human.
One other interesting tidbit: “demon” is actually name dropped in chapter 59, a while before Qifrey’s fight with Engendil, when Beldaruit muses that a king who could use magic to gain power over life and death would become a “demon king”, someone capable of creating new lifeforms at will. This ties in the concept of demons to the other themes of the recent volumes, the dilemna of healing magic and resurection magic. What this could imply is that bringing someone back from certain death through magic carries the risk of altering them to the point where they would basically become a new lifeform, which has worrying implications for Dagda.
Going back to Qifrey though, there are three things we know for sure about him: 1) he has been experimented on with a type of magic never attempted before; 2) he looks and acts perfectly human, and 3) despite this, he is convinced that this new magic is dangerous, and must not only be destroyed but also kept secret at all costs. Finally, we know that those experiments left no visible trace on his body, because the Knights Moralis would have inspected him when they rescued him from the Brimhats (and would have soundly kicked him out of the Great Hall had they found anything). Barring other special characteristics we might not know about, what makes him unique as a demon is that he is undistinguishable from a normal human.
And that’s already more than enough to explain why he is freaking out so much.
What I like about this demon framework is that it can apply to several of the existing theories around Qifrey’s origin: whether he is a rescucitated corpse from Slistas, a silvertree turned human (I am still firmly standing behind that one), or a homonculus created from nothing by the Brimhats. In all three cases, whatever weird symptoms or powers he might have as a result of his creation, the very fact that he cannot be told apart from a human is what makes him truly dangerous. Because it shakes the very foundation of magical society.
Tumblr media
We remember the central law of the Pointed Hats: the integrity of the human body is sacred, and therefore magic cast on the human body is taboo. A demon with a human appearance is a mockery of that principle, and a walking dilemna for the Pointed Hats. Demons used to be killed by heroes, and forbidden magical artefacts must be destroyed, but what do you do when that magical artefact is a living, breathing person?
(Speaking of, I have been wondering for a while what the Knights Moralis even do with people who have had spells tattooed on them, and especially those whose bodies have been altered. They can’t let them wander around, even with their memories gone, their very appearance would give the secret away. Do they keep them hidden in some prison or on an island, like the brainwashed witches? Asking for Eunie and Coustas, I’m worried about these kids)
From that perspective, Qifrey’s secrecy makes complete sense. The existence of demons with human faces not only raises all kinds of existential questions, but in the short term it risks making witch society even more repressive than it currently is. The Knights Moralis are already merciless to anyone seen with a tattooed spell or other evidence of having been involved with forbidden magic. Can you imagine how paranoid they would become if they literally couldn’t tell apart a demon from a human? Anyone could be a demon, pretty much.
In particular, this scenario explains why Qifrey is keeping the truth from those who might be tempted to help or protect him. After all, where would it leave Olruggio if he sided with a demon against his own society? Where would it leave Qifrey, if the only solution to erase that dangerous new magic were to destroy himself, but Olruggio wouldn’t let him? It also gives context to his line in chapter 40 “You want me to stay as Professor Qifrey? I would also like that, if it were possible”, and his description of his life at the atelier as something almost like a dream. Professor Qifrey doesn’t exist, and he has no right to live that peaceful life.
Tumblr media
Anger and hope
A final bit of character musing I want to add to this: this theory of Qifrey as a demon, and the way he wrestles with that knowledge, also sheds some light on his more erratic actions and mood swings so far. What makes his motivations difficult to follow is that he always seems tugged between two extremes: destructive anger and fervent hope. Both are actually coping strategies that he tries to use to protect himself against paralysing guilt.
His anger at the Brimhats allows him to redirect his self-disgust towards those who made him. The true demons are those who willingly create monsters, he tells Engendil during their fight. These moments where he faces the Brimhats bring out a very different side of him, one that is confident, indignant and spiteful. Then, rather than being blinded by anger into chasing senseless revenge, he is calling on that anger to steel his resolve. He is using that indignation as a motivator to right a wrong done against both himself and witch society as a whole, even if he has to destroy himself in order to do so.
On the other hand, he seems to hold onto some hope that he might, somehow, erase the magic that created him but still miraculously keep himself alive. That is the side of him that fervently believes in the miracles of magic and in the power of creativity, inspired in him by Beldaruit, and passed along to Coco. His stance seems to be that he needs to dive into the ugly core of those experiments, and that maybe, just maybe, a way to save himself will occur to him just in the nick of time. It’s an interesting coincidence, by the way, that he is staring down the maws of water-dwelling demons while having those thoughts.
Tumblr media
And on that note, hold on to indignation and hope when the going gets tough (but don’t brainwash your friends), and thank you for reading!

Chapter Eleven: The Dangers of the Sea
________________________________
Tumblr media
~Y/N’s POV~
Looking at the darkness around me I realize that I'm once again, having a vision. But it felt different this time. Instead of seeing a light which I usually would have to walk towards, there was no light. I felt like I was under water as I look around me.
Feeling numb all over, the darkness was everlasting. I felt as though the world was closing in on me. I started to panic. I've never had a vision where I was this blind.
Suddenly I feel water fill my lungs as the scenery changes around me. I quickly hold my breath seeing the sea form around me as I realize I'm in the deep into the ocean. Not recognizing the reef around me I look around to what was being shown to me.
'Why am I here? What did Ewya want me to see?'
I had trouble holding in my breathe since I swallowed a good amount of water already. Then I see it, a figure not to far away from me swimming frantically into the coral reef. I couldn't make out who it was, but they looked to be in distress.
They looked so familiar to me. Who was he? Just as I'm about to swim to him, I see it before it crashes into the same coral trying to reach the Na'vi.
It was a Akula, a predatory creature of the sea that was very dangerous, almost the same size of a fully grown Tulkun.
It rammed its head trying to catch the Na'vi. My body freezes up realizing the dire situation the boy was in. He swims further away, making me worry. I try swimming to him, try to help him out but the Akula turns to me. I knew it couldn't sense me, it was a vision right?
But the way it looked at me, with such menacing eyes and jaws wide open I felt fear radiate from me as I let out a scream. Feeling water fill my lungs I realize that I'm drowning.
Drowning deeper into the sea.
~~~~~~~
~Third Person POV~
"Y/N?? Y/N??" Ronal says aloud, concerned, snapping her fingers in front of Y/N as she gazed off into the distance, remembering the vision she had seen earlier. Upon her mother trying to get her attention she shakes her head, taking in a deep breath.
"S-sorry mother" She says barley above a whisper as Ronal places the ointment away, which she had already applied onto the girls chin. She sat, her legs curled up against her, her injures long forgotten as she was lost in her own world.
Ao'nung stood not to far away, his head down as Tonowari continues on with his scolding. Ao'nung snuck a few glances towards Y/N who was still zoned out, trying to focus on what was happening.
"You bring shame to this family! To this clan! Y/N got hurt because of your foolishness son" Tonowari's voice thunders throughout the Marui. Ever since they came back into the hut Ronal was first to act, taking her daughter from her sons arms.
Setting her down and tending to her minor wounds and her chin. Ao'nung was frozen at the entrance as he quietly explained what had happened. Leaving out some details regarding the fight to spare him further yelling.
Tonowari sighs out turning towards his daughter. Y/N looks up at him before slowly standing up, Ronal helps her daughter to her feet , her eyes glancing at her son in disappointment.
"Sorry father, I should have deescalated the situation. Its not all Ao'nung's fault" she whispers making Ao'nung look away, guilt eating away in his stomach. Tonowari shakes his head at his daughters words.
"You are not responsible for his actions. You shouldn't have intervened when you knew you couldn't stop them" he states making Y/N nod. She thinks back to what she could have done differently. Realizing her fault she felt her mouth go dry. She should have informed someone immediately not stay around trying to fight a fight she knew she couldn't win.
"I'll go formally apologize to Jake Sully. You stay put Y/N. Get some rest." Tonowari says, his shoulder pushes past Ao'nung as he leaves the Marui. Ronal squeezes her daughters shoulder before following Tonowari out. Y/N and Ao'nung are left alone in the hut. An awkward silence taking over.
Y/N decided to take a few steps towards Ao'nung who is yet to move from his spot. He was a dumbass but he was her dumbass. Her brother she had to look out for.
"Are....you ok?" she whispers once she is close enough. Sure she felt unfiltered anger towards her brother, but upon further inspection of his wounds, she felt sympathy and hurt. He just shrugs avoiding eye contact.
"Come, I'll make you an mixture to help with the cuts" she adds trying to grab his hand, he quickly takes a step back hissing.
He moves away from her ,finally locking eyes. It was a mix between guilt, hurt and anger. "Why did you defend them? You got yourself hurt because you couldn't leave things alone! This is your fault!" he hisses making Y/N raise an unimpressed eyebrow.
"My fault? My fault for trying to ensure no harm would come to anyone? My fault trying to stop the conflict that got ALL of us in trouble?!" she growls unable to take her brothers tone any longer.
"I told you stay away from them! Because of them you had another vision-" Ao'nung hears his voice crack but chooses to ignore it "-you had another vision, and they were there! They could be the cause. Y/N....You....You stopped breathing. You turned purple from lack of oxygen! You almost died!" Ao'nung is practically screaming.
Y/N gasps at his outburst, her eyes locked on the single tear the cascaded down his bruised eye. He is quick to wipe it away.
Realizing that her brothers fear was expressed out in anger, she feels her eyes soften. Again she attempts to reach out to him but he shrugs it off.
"Ao'nung, I'm So-"
"Leave it" he growls.
He begins to leave the hut, not sparing her another glance.
Y/n tries to call for him but he's already gone. Feeling tears of her own slide down her cheeks she turns around, heading for the mat where she was sitting on earlier. She sniffles as feelings overwhelm her, her tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
She manages to wipe a few tears before her ears pick up the sound of rustling from the entrance. She quickly whips around, feeling hopeful.
"Ao'nung, I-" she stops seeing Neteyam, he walks into the Marui, his eyes full of concern seeing Y/N in tears.
In three long strides he is in front of her, his hands reach up, cupping her face. The heat radiating from her skin is enough for him to let out the breath he was holding in.
"Y/N" he breathes out, unable to form words at the sight of her. She had what seemed to be some ointment on her chin, her face flushed with color, color that proved she was alive, and breathing. The image of her unmoving and pale was seared into his head. Holding her felt like everything was finally right in the world.
"Neteyam...your lips" Y/n whispers her thumb gently brushing his lower lip making him flinch at the action.
"I saw your mother" Neteyam mummers, his eyes never leaving hers. He wanted to savor every moment he had with her. Ignoring his own injuries.
"I apologized to her, I...needed to see you. She said you'd be here" he says confirming how he found her. Y/N offers a small smile, taking his hand into hers, she leads him to her mat, seating him down. She pulls out a small basket filled with herbs.
Grabbing her mortar and pestle she turns to him. He held a small smile, as he watched her work on grinding some herbs.
"Why were you looking for me. You should have been tending to your wounds." She says worriedly. He sighs out looking to his hands. "Dad wanted me to apologize for what we did. And it's not that bad, I don't feel it. Its not as bad as your brother's" he says smirking at the end.
Y/N laughs at his expense, scooping some of the mixture onto her finger. "You don't have to apologize. I think Ao'nung went to apologize to Lo'ak, at least I hope so..." she says scooting closer to the taller Na'vi. He sat up straighter catching her gaze.
"Don't worry, this is a special blend. It wont even sting" she assures as he leans in. He watches how she gets up really close, her gaze focusses on his busted lip before bringing up the mixture. Neteyam is shocked when the mixture hits his lips. It didn't sting, it had a rather cooling sensation that felt nice.
"See, it's not so bad" Y/N mummers immersed in her craft. Neteyam watches her concentration in awe. She would make for a great Tsahik, her training has been paying off. Neteyam finds himself gazing at her lips. It looks so soft, he knew this because ever since he gave her CPR he couldn't forget how her lips felt against his.
They were soft, and felt so heavenly against him, he felt himself lean closer, he wanted another taste, he wanted to feel them again but against his lips. He wanted to feel her warmth radiate against him.
"Neteyam??" Y/N calls a third time breaking his line of thought, realizing how close he's gotten he jolts back. Y/N giggles at his flushed expression. "I was asking if you felt any pain?" she asks putting her tools away, wiping her hands against a shawl.
"O-Oh yea, N-no pain at all" he confirms. He looks to her chin. "How is that? Does it hurt...I'm sorry I couldn't get there sooner" he says gesturing to her chin. She laughs shaking her head. "Don't worry about it. Thank you for coming when you did....I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't intervened." She says smiling at the Na'vi.
Sitting this close to him she felt a wave of happiness overriding the sadness she felt earlier due to Ao'nung. Neteyam smiles, his expression slowly changing to that of concern. "Y/N....why did you pass out back there...You stopped breathing" he says grabbing her hands into his. His eyes pleading for the truth.
Y/N felt herself go stiff, she couldn't tell him. This wasn't anything normal, and the last thing she would want is for Neteyam, someone she admired so much, to think she was a freak.
"Neteyam....I-"
"Y/N?" Tonowari calls walking into the Marui.
Neteyam and Y/N jump apart from one another as the chief eyes them in question. Neteyam clears his throat awkwardly.
"I was helping tend to his wounds, as a apology for what Ao'nung has done" Y/N quickly explains, Neteyam nods looking down. For some odd reason he began to sweat nervously under the chief's stare.
He nods in understanding before turning fully to his daughter. "Y/N please look for Ao'nung, I have something I need to discuss with him." Tonowari instructs as Neteyam quickly excuses himself. He offers a tiny smile towards Y/N after ushering himself out.
~~~~~~~~
~Y/N's POV~
I scurry through village looking for Ao'nung, he was no where to be found. After asking around I realize he's gone out for a swim on his Iiu with his friends. Knowing father would want to speak to him immediately I decide I should go look for him myself.
Waking into the water I let out a few clicks and chirps waiting for Atan. As I'm waiting I notice Lo'ak get on his Iiu and swim away. Seeing Atan emerge I quickly hop on his back. "Follow him" I whisper as I follow Lo'ak quietly not attracting any attention to myself.
I knew Lo'ak and his siblings have trained well and are comfortable on a Iiu, but as the chief's daughter it was my duty to make sure he does not go beyond the reef and get in trouble or worse, attract danger.
As I keep a good distance between us I recognize the rocks we eventually swim towards, it's pretty far out from shore but it's safe. It's where Ao'nung and his friends usually hung out to fish or hunt. Just as I round the corner I pull Atan to a stop hearing voices.
"What's tree boy doing here?" I hear one of the boys pipe up, I look closer to see Ao'nung, with the boys from earlier. A part of me wants to reveal my presence but another part of me wanted to see it play out. I saw Ao'nung glance between his friends.
'Please apologize you Skxawng' I think to myself hoping my brother would be the bigger man and not start a second fight.
Tumblr media
"Sorry I hit you......so many times" Lo'ak says only focused on Ao'nung, ignoring the other three boys. Ao'nung looks at him and then at the other boys before offering a smirk, motioning his hand out he gestures to Lo'ak.
"We should be friends" he says making a smile creep onto my face. It wasn't an apology but it looked like Ao'nung wanted to settle things once and for all. Watching them shake hands made me feel like they needed their time alone. Just as I'm about to tell Atan to turn around I stop in my tracks.
"Come hunting with us-" Ao'nung says with y he same smile still on his face "-outside the reef" he emphasizes making my blood run cold.
What was that idiot thinking?
"It's were the men hunt" he adds making the offer seem that much more tempting. Lo'ak pauses, thinking about the offer. "No way, I'm not allowed" he says sternly. A sigh escapes my throat, Lo'ak was being reasonable, which was a good sign.
Ao'nung shrugs his shoulders turning to his friends. Rolling his eyes playfully at the response. "I must be asking the wrong brother" he mocks causing the others to snicker at his comment. I grit my teeth, he was trying to lure Lo'ak in and by the looks of it, he was considering it.
"Lets do it" Lo'ak says accepting the weapon from Ao'nung.
"W-wai-" I try to scream, try call them back but I'm cut off by them quickly swimming off letting out screams of excitement. I look at where they were before and where I had come from, it would be too late to go back and tell father about what Ao'nung was doing. And it would be too late if they ran into trouble. Making up my mind I pat Atan's head, "Lets go" I whisper urgently.
~~~~~~~
After following them for some time I look around me my ears flattening against my head. We were at Three Brothers Rock. It was forbidden for anyone to come here, especially for children. For us.
Hunting parties would come here and they had Skimwings.
Iiu's would not be safe here. I notice the group had disappeared. They must have gone underwater. Looking at Atan I realize that if there were any predatory creatures near by, he wouldn't be able to outswim them.
I gently get off, facing my beloved Iiu. "Atan" I call his attention to me, I notice his nervous eyes wonder around the new territory.
"Go back to the village. Call Tsireya or father. Once they see you without me, they'll know its an emergency" I say sternly, he grumbles back as if in protest. "My sweet boy, I need you to do this. Please" I plead as he nuzzles into my hands. Taking that as a sign I let go, watching him swim away with urgency.
I take a deep breath diving into the water, they couldn't have gone to far away, I should be able to find them. The unfamiliar territory is unlike anything I've seen before, creatures I've yet to see are around me. I try not to marvel at it, but it was so beautiful to say the least. From the corner of my eye I catch movement.
I notice Ao'nung and his friends quietly swim away. Lo'ak was not present amongst them. Turning to where they came from I swim further into the sea. I look around frantically, where was Lo'ak? Ao'nung was with his friends, he should be safe.
But Lo'ak was nowhere to be seen. Feeling the knot in my stomach I look around frantically.
All of a sudden a chill goes down my spine. I felt my body freeze up as a colony of fish near me swim away and scatter.
Then I see it.
My vision from earlier today flashes before my eyes as I notice it swim towards the surface, attracted by something or in this case: someone.
It was a Akula.
Realizing what that meant I quickly swim forward my eyes widening when I see Lo'ak cash into the sea. I watch in horror seeing the Akula chase after his Iiu. I move my legs faster, feeling adrenaline pulse through me. If I could grab Lo'ak right now we could get out of here while the Akula is busy.
Unfortunately my prayers aren't answered as the Akula turns to Lo'ak, who rushes into the coral reefs. Just like how I saw it in my vision. It was Lo'ak who was in danger. That's why he felt so familiar.
The Akula gets aggressive, crashing into the ancient coral shattering it into pieces. All of it sudden it moved back, thrashing around. Noticing the weapon lodged in its mouth as it tried to get rid of it, I quickly swim inside the coral.
I see Lo'ak jolt at my presence. 'Lo'ak' I sign holding his shoulders, I see relief take over his fearful stare which it short lived as the Akula attacks again.
I pull Lo'ak with me deeper into the coral hoping  we could make it into a part that the Akula couldn't reach. I tug his hand as we scurry our way to a different coral reef, which looked sturdier. I look back seeing him keep up with me.
As we make it to the heart of the coral structure I look back seeing the Akula struggle to get in. Luckily it was sturdier just as I had hoped. If we could wait it out, we could make a quick swim for it. Hopefully get further away from the Akula to safety.
My happens is short lived when I notice some oxygen leave Lo'ak. His eyes widen as we lock eyes. He was running out of air. Even though they've been training long and hard, it is still tough to hold it for this long while actively swimming.
I look around me, knowing the Akula was still near by. If we tried for the surface we would be way out in the open. The Akula would get us. I see Lo'ak start to panic as I realize I have no other choice. I grab his shoulders making sure he didn't continue to panic. Panic to the point he loses more oxygen.
I look at him before signing. 'Calm down. I'll give you some air' I sign.
He looks at me confused.
Rolling my eyes I cup his face bringing him closer to me. He seems surprised at first but allows it. Seeming to relax under my touch.
'Trust me' I sign before attaching my lips on to his. I push my tongue in, prying his mouth open, which he thankfully does. I breath some air into him quickly pulling away. I ignore the way he seemed to blush, because I knew my face was equally flushed.
'I gave you enough for our swim to the surface' I sign to him. With shaky hands he signs back 'Thank you'. I nod back looking around, sensing it has been enough time I motion to Lo'ak that we should swim to the surface.
He agrees, I go first making sure it's safe. I feel Lo'ak press up against me looking around as well. I nod to him before we start are ascend. As we are half way there I feel that similar chill.
I look around seeing the Akula, swimming straight towards us. It's jaws open wide. Lo'ak notices, taking out his dagger which he held on his waist belt, he grabs my hand to keep me close to him as I wait for the inevitable.
Out of nowhere the Akula is knocked off it's course but some unseen force. The impact caused a ripple sending Lo'ak and I flying back. I feel water fill my lungs as I'm unable to hold my breath any longer. I feel myself sink, letting the water consume me. Then it clicks, I was drowning in my vision. Right before everything went black..
IHNMAIMS Theories
Okay so a lot of people have a problem with the IHNMAIMS game for many reasons, but mostly because Ellen's storyline doesn't make much sense with the others. Nimdok is getting tortured by AM because he was a Nazi, Ted was being tortured because he was a playboy and a liar, Benny let his comrades die, Gorrister possibly sent his wife to an asylum, etc. But Ellen was only sexually abused. That is the furthest thing from her fault, and certainly one of the cruelest things that AM does. So why does AM torture Ellen? I think I have an explaination that might explain things.
First of all, AM isn't torturing the survivors because he wants to teach them a lesson about their past mistakes, because obviously Ellen doesn't have one, at least not one to be tortured over. Plus AM's just not the vigilante type. I think he's doing these things to make them recognise their fears - not face their fears or get over them - but recognise them, to see them, using their own guilt and fear as a weapon. Like that scene from A Clockwork Orange, he's keeping their eyes wide open.
-Nimdok's fear is his heritage, and his shame for his horrific experiments on his own people. He feels guilt not only for the experiments and for throwing his own parents to the Nazis, but that he knows he can never ever atone. His crimes are too great. He's also one of the more obvious cases of AM trying to force them to look at their fears. Nimdok doesn't remember his past, so AM forces his eyes open to see.
-Gorrister's fear is him being at fault for his wife's mental illness, and his guilt over her being put in the asylum. His guilt (and his other tortures from AM) are partly the reason for his attempts at suicide. But of course, AM can't have that, so he punishes Gorrister by, again, forcing him to face his fears.
-Benny's fear and guilt is never knowing if his comrades forgive him, if he is actually a changed man or if he is still an animal inside (and outside, thanks to AM). Benny in the book was gay, before being forced straight by AM. Benny in the game was a soldier who killed his commrades who were seen as weaker, that had shown weakness. The graves themselves say that Brickman is the one that Benny has to apologise to the most. I may have been the only one, but I thought that maybe Brickman could have also been an ex-lover of Benny's, which could have been seen as this supposed 'weakness' of Brickman's. Benny could have been so afraid of being discharged, especially as a drill sergeant, that he killed his lover Brickman so that nobody could have found out. That is why Brickman is seen as more important to apologise to, and why Benny feels that he has to prove himself a changed man even more.
-Ted's fear is his lies being revealed, he's mentioned to be paranoid (though that point was more obvious in the book) which could be due to constantly wondering if he was going to be called out on his behaviour. And his storyline could be reexamined as his fear of if he actually did fall in love with someone, that he wouldn't be able to pretend to be 'knight in shining armour' anymore. I don't believe he was actually in love with Ellen, the book made that part very clear, but because she was the first woman he had actually spent time with, without a mask or an act, that made her even scarier to Ted. Ellen knew who Ted was, without his armour.
-And Ellen. Ellen's story is told in a fantastic way. When we first start her story, she has panic attacks about the colour yellow, she has panic attacks over enclosed spaces. But later on it's revealed that it's not these things on their own that scare her, they're painful reminders of her attacker. It's how after trauma you can only remember certain parts, and not often the full picture. And AM does this to force Ellen to look at her fear full on. Not just yellow, not just small spaces. But of course, if you play the game right, she fights back and gains control of her fear again. But it's clear that Ellen is never 'cured' of these things, she's still scared. But she's probably the least willing to put up with AM bullshit. Her guilt is related to her rape, a lot of people such as myself who have been sexually assaulted/abused do feel guilty, and no matter what people say to assure you, you do often feel like it's your fault, or that your life has ended here, much like how Ellen started slowing down her education after the attack. And due to her being a black woman in the 60s/90s depending on the story, of course she wouldn't exactly feel safe coming forward with anything. This doesn't make AM's torture any less cruel than before, in fact it's probably more so, but it makes more sense than AM punishing Ellen for nothing.
I think it's a really interesting way of looking at it, and it makes a few of their storylines like Benny's, Ted's and especially Ellen's make a bit more sense. If you have any ideas of your own I'd like to hear them!
How do you think Gordon would show affection? Does he express it through physical touch or words?
YAY I GET TO TALK ABOUT HOW EMOTIONALLY REPRESSED GORDON IS AND THE SUBTLETIES OF HOW HE SHOWS LOVE
Okay Gordon is…. Not good at showing affection to say the least. It takes him years to even begin to soften up around his fellow engines and even when he does it’s very rare. But that’s not to say he doesn’t love and appreciate his friends far from it. Though he hides it under a million layers of coded jargon and fake anger/annoyance. (To which I’ve labeled Gordon Jargon) I honestly think if he tried to expression affection through words like a normal person he’d struggle to stutter out half a sentence then explode and crumble into dust.
I even drew a little comic about it. But I’m too lazy to grab the link since I’m answering this on mobile. So to summarize, Gordon will hide his worry/affection.care under a billion different layers that you have to decode. For example he might say to Edward. “You never shunt my coaches right, I’ll do it myself.” Is his was of saying “thanks for helping me up the hill again. I’ll shunt my coaches so you can take a break.” Or he might say “No no, big strong engines like myself don’t need the warm berth. We are perfectly fine without it. I’m far too strong to rely on such frivolities.” Is his way of saying “you take the warm berth, I heard you had a bad run in with the snow earlier, please take the warm berth so you can rest up.” And his most common phrase “You are such a stupid silly little engine what on earth were you thinking!?” Is his way of saying he was worried about you.
Gordon also probably shows a lot of emotion through micro-expressions because of that patented Gresly Emotional Repression™️
Another way of him showing affection is the amount of time it takes for him to apologize to you. His image is very important to him. He despises being wrong or being in the wrong. And will take a bit to apologize since he doesn’t want to admit it. Now he will always apologize since he learns from his mistakes and is a good person at heart but the amount of time it takes for him to apologize depends on the person and the situation. He will apologize to Edward and Henry the fastest, since not only does he realize he’s wrong he also doesn’t want to see them upset.
Gordon is not a physical touch person at all. I would say his love language is acts of service. He’ll do little things like shunt his own coaches, let others take the turntable first, let them go ahead of him for water, coal or go first at the steam works.
In ITAR specifically, he shows affection with his avatar as well. While he doesn’t do hugs or physical touch, the most he’ll do is give you an approving shoulder pat. Though he has made a couple of exceptions. He was pulled into a hug by Edward and Henry a few times (they always initiated the hug), he gave James an affectionate side hug at the end of the great race, he has hugged Spencer after the silver slick had a emotional breakdown, and the only time he ever initiated a hug was when he had his own emotional breakdown in front of Edward. But the most often way he’ll show affection with his avatar (and this is a sign you’ve earned his trust) is by giving you his jacket. If you’re cold, or sad and he cares about you, he will toss his jacket in your face or throw it around your shoulders. He’s probably the most affectionate with his kids. He will leave a small plate of coal and mug of water for his kids as well as give them some hair ruffling.
In ITAR one of the only times Gordon has actively shown great amounts of parental emotion is in Journey Beyond Sodor when James and Thomas get lost on the mainland. He has a panic attack because James is gone. If anything happened to any one of his kids he’d be a wreck. He worries by anxiously pacing back and forth for hours, hand over his mouth not saying a word.
I'm voting Kotoko Guilty this round for quite a few reasons. First off, the only other two characters who have been voted guilty are Haruka and Muu. Yk. Minors. Who are already in a shitty mindset, who's verdict will most likely make that worse? Yeah. I would rather not have them beat up by Kotoko. And she WOULD beat them up- she would have beat up Amane if she hadn't been stopped, and Amane is much younger than Haruka and Muu.
I don't even mind her fighting injustice to feel good about herself. I mean, she's still fighting injustice. Regardless of her personal feelings about it, she's still doing good things. It's the way she goes about it that worries me. The article she was reading on her phone states that "more violence than necessary was used". Of course, the article could always be biased, but Kotoko has shown herself to be a violent person. Her call to us to vote everyone else in Milgram as Guilty, regardless of their crime, is a request for us to give her permission to make them her enemy and crush them. She would apply the same amount of force to, say, Yuno- someone who simply had an abortion because she didn't want the baby- as a person who kidnapped a child.
Kotoko sees everything in black and white. Yuno's "crime" of an abortion is just as evil as Haruka's crime of murder. Here's a reminder of the character's crimes (from my understanding):
Haruka: killed out of desperation to be seen, to have his mother finally acknowledge him after he wasn't good enough (ie, neurotypical) to keep up with the other kids.
Yuno: Had an abortion because she didn't want the baby. She didn't have some tragic reason why, she had a normal life. She was simply doing as she pleased.
Fuuta: Took part in cancel culture, which ended up doxxing a minor and she took her own life. He didn't want to accept responsibility for this, but it was clearly weighing on his mind.
Muu: She bullied others with her friends, and then her friends turned on her. She reached out to a classmate for help, but didn't receive any. Muu stabbed her in a panic, after alluding to either her or the classmate dying at the end of all of this.
Shido: Medical malpractice ? I think ? It's still not clear to me idk
Mahiru: Abused her boyfriend until he offed himself due to her sheltered life and toxic positivity. She feels as though she can't change, and she wants someone to love even if it hurts both of them.
Kazui: Lied about romantically loving his wife so that he could fit in to society at large. When he finally opened up about his feelings, the shock of it all caused his wife to end her life. He cared for her, but can't continue lying like this.
Amane: Killed her abuser, and is clinging to religion to both justify it to herself and comfort herself.
Mikoto: Still unclear whether he or John did the murder, how many murders there were, who was murdered, etc. The focus isn't exactly on the murder, moreso how mentally ill people are pushed to their limit with no support or help from others and the unhealthy coping mechanisms that can arise from that.
She tells us to throw away our sympathy. But understanding and kindness and sympathy are so so so important- not just in Milgram, but everywhere else, too. Yes, these are just characters, but a popular theory is that they represent societal issues. And I do believe that's true. They may not be real, but they represent real problems real people face. By ignoring the nuance, we blindly swing at whatever we're told is "guilty". Kotoko only attacked the prisoners we announced as Guilty. She won't act on her own moral code, merely the law. We are the law in Milgram, so she follows us.
I adore Kotoko, but her mindset is genuinely dangerous. While this is unlikely (cough, Amane) I hope her Guilty vote will help her. But it probably won't- Guilty votes destroy a person. But I can't vote her Innocent, either. I don't forgive her for her black and white thinking. Thus, she is Guilty to me. I'm very curious how she'll develop after this. I'm a little scared, too, but oh well.
With how certain parts in the story play out or are portrayed, do you think Yana exploits or down plays O!Ciel’s trauma sometimes? For example, during Noah’s circus arc, that panic attack he has is caused when he was exposed to Kelvin’s doings which triggered his trauma. Yet at the same time, actions like Ran Mao hugging O!Ciel and pushing him into her chest makes him flustered. The interaction doesn’t make him panic in the same way even though he suffered at the hands of both men and women in the cult. I can mostly chalk it up to Yana putting in fan service in when it comes to how he is framed in certain instances or in situations like the corset scene, but overall, is his trauma only there when the plot needs it?
Our earl's trauma on display
I'd say the trauma is there all the time. It's just that much of the time he can somewhat control how he reacts. He regularly suppresses his emotions, anyway, because it's the only way he can move forward on his goals. Consider this part of his act, pretending to be the "better" older twin. He knows real Ciel went through the same ordeals, but he probably assumes his older brother would have faced each new day with all the strength he could muster... if he had survived instead. It's probably on his mind more often than we actually witness, but since he's not the main, title character, we don't see his thoughts as often.
If he were constantly displaying the effects of the severe trauma, he'd pull a revolver on Sebastian when he's called upon to wake up each day. He'd be jumping out of his skin to run away whenever a creep like Druitt showed up. Or crouching down to go into the fetal position and scream. That sort of thing. He'd be too much of a mess to let the plot progress. He wouldn't be able to function very well. Basically, he'd be like he was during the witch arc, until Sebastian was 90% serious about devouring his soul then and there.
Honestly, the series would be hard(er) to read, if we were constantly getting the full brunt of the effect those traumatic events have on him. As a victim of childhood abuse myself, with the repetitive intrusive thoughts and flashbacks I already have regarding those long-past experiences, reading and seeing illustrations of similar ongoing suffering would be somewhat detrimental... possibly. What I experienced wasn't as terrifying or horrific as what happens to him and his twin (though the abuse lasted way longer for me), and I don't have any real triggers. Regardless of what happened to me, I do my best to carry on with the day-to-day, even on days I'm thinking about it more than usual. Whatever PTSD I might have isn't nearly as severe as it could be. A series written that way -- our earl constantly showing us how he suffers from trauma -- would be downright unreadable for a lot of people. Some find it too emotionally difficult, as is, and dropped the series.
I expect that what he mentally goes through, after the abuses, is pretty much the same thing all day, every day. It's repetitive, pestering him, and he has to brush away thoughts about it. He does the best he can to hold himself together. He tries to focus on revenge. On Funtom. On his duties as watchdog. Whatever... to think about something other than that timeframe and those memories. What's shown to us (of the trauma) are the times when it's just too much for him to maintain that composure... as well as what caused the trauma in the first place. I'd say that is quite enough to get the point across.
It's sad that a lot of those scenes are given fan service treatment. Sad mostly because it means there's still a large chunk of the fandom that practically demands it. I'd prefer a lack of glamor and sexualization in those moments. I know a lot of fans would agree with me. But she can't please everyone all the time. And what sells, sells.
And episodes 7 and 8 of "Frozen Podcast" were released.
7 - THE CONFESSION
Tumblr media
The next spirit to face problems is Gale who attacks the three queens, but Elsa manages to prevent anyone from being hurt.
Gale ends up taking the group to a mountain and there they come across an automaton excavating it, but he faces problems which leads him to cause a landslide that would hit Elsa and Anna, but Disa ends up saving them
Elsa tries to hold him back with the ice while Disa and Anna try to get closer, but he is too strong for the ice which leads Elsa to decide to ask for help from the Giants. In the midst of the confusion, Anna and Disa end up trapped in a cave because of the landslides. Disa ends up having a panic attack, but Anna manages to calm her down. Disa is surprised at how Anna is dealing with this whole situation and Elsa's sister gives a summary of her problems in the two films and how this made her stronger. In the cave Anna says that the culprit is Wolfgang, but Disa confesses that she was the one who created the automatons. Disa created the automatons on her ship as a way of trying to help Arendelle with her science, but with simple things like purifying water, but apparently when they came into contact with the spirits of nature, they ended up causing some problem that led them to act strangers and cause all this confusion. Anna ends up arguing with Disa because she tried to impose her will on how Arendelle would go in the future without consulting her as queen, Anna is the one who decides the future of the kingdom and whether they followed that path or not. But Anna manages to forgive Disa and they end up hugging and working together they manage to leave
When they leave, the two come across Gale and Bruni, who are very calm and interact very well with Disa. The women decide to return to Arendelle to save Woflgang from jail, but Anna prefers to keep the revelation of Disa's guilt within her social circle rather than tell the kingdom
8 – THE DUKE OF ANTLERS
Tumblr media
As soon as Anna and Disa return they go directly to Woflgang's cell to apologize and release him, Disa confesses her guilt to him, but Wolfgang doesn't take it personally and in fact he even enjoyed his time in prison since the allowed him to rethink his life and even composed a sequel to his opera
As they are preparing dinner Anna comments that Queen Disa hasn't shown up and feels that she is currently tense, Wolfgang says that he gave her copper because she was wanting to start a new project. And while Wolfgang talks to Olaf about opera, Anna goes to Disa
But Disa had gone outside and ends up being found first by Elsa who was riding Nokk. There is an uncomfortable atmosphere between the women as Anna's sister seems to only want to help the other woman and her people. Kristoff arrives being sent by Anna who wants to meet her, but Disa dismisses the company and seems really worried about her ship, much to Kristoff's confusion, although Elsa understands the other woman's feeling of wanting to be alone for a while
Mattias goes to Olaf and Wolfgang, the general wanted to apologize for having arrested him, but Wolfgang again shows that he does not hold any kind of grudge. Wolfgang spent two days in prison, but for him, who has a philosophical mind, he considered it an eternity of reflection alone in the philosophical way possible, much to Mattias's confusion since it was only literally two days. But as Mattias really wants to apologize and makes himself available to Wolfgang, the Duke of Weselton's nephew ends up pulling him into the sequel to his opera. Olaf even tried out for the same role Wolfgang wants for Mattias which involved playing the flute, but the snowman says he's a better singer and starts singing. And after that Wolfgang gives Mattias what he's been knitting the whole time since the two of them met in the square: the green sweater that matches his own, and he even made a blue one for Olaf that's a little difficult to put on
Disa is the last to arrive at dinner and says her ship suffered little damage. During the conversation at dinner Kristoff asks the trio of women if they saw Ryder in the Enchanted Forest and what he was doing, but the conversation is interrupted by Wolfgang who asks Disa if her machines can be used for mining and extraction, this conversation ends up making Disa feel sick and leave dinner
And with Disa gone, Lord Wolfgang focuses his attention on Kristoff by asking him about Ryder, but the conversation ends up being forgotten to focus on the sisters. Anna is worried about Disa, but Elsa although she trusted Anna about Disa she fears that her gone Anna is not safe, and again Anna reinforces that Disa is a good person and decides to go see Disa after dinner
After dinner, Wolfgang decides to premiere his opera with different instruments, and it has fifty-seven songs, much to Kristoff's despair and Anna's laughter, which they would have to listen to in its entirety
GEEZ this complete lamp of the body story was such an amazing and sinister read!
The two main theories I had going into Dark Light Within were either a) nightmares were caused by residue nen leftover in the eyes after the death of one of the kurta victims or b) nightmares caused by Chrollo himself tormenting reader for some unforeseen but necessary purpose (at the time I assumed, the suffocation might have been a troupe member or chrollo himself trying to pin down reader due to the process of implanting the eyes being potentially very painful and/or traumatic. And the reason the pain and nightmares kept continuing, I assumed, was due to Chrollo needing to constantly use nen or some convoluted/agonising procedure in order to make sure the eyes wouldn't 'reject' their new host since they're the body parts of such a unique and isolated ethnic group).
In the end, I was halfway right on both parts, but even so, I didn't expect the reason for Chrollo to be doing all this to be so callous. Because wow, this was definitely one of the cruelest Chrollo's fics out there! I was lulled into a sense of false security in part 1 due to how soothing and considerate he behaved (albeit still controlling and manipulative) but fuck, here? He was absolutely merciless; partly shown in how violently he fucked the reader, but ESPECIALLY in the way he deceives and violates her so deeply with literally zero remorse or regret during his POV. Like god, he's such a selfish bastard. The cheek! When I first read the line about him smiling after reader confirmed they'd never leave him, I definitely thought he'd felt genuine relief that she'd never abandon him. But lol, now? All I can think about is how smug and smarmy that smile must have been because his sneaky ass knew DAMN well how codependent reader was – he said it himself, he didn't even need Pakunoda to see how distressed she was without him. And yet, he had the gall to act like he was legitimately worried over her leaving him. Classic husband crying tears for sympathy when they abuse their spouse technique and he's not even ashamed about it.
And UGH... The fact he was so focused on the eyes when fucking reader... it really gave the impression he was objectifying her so deeply, roughly treating her like a breathing fleshlight in the pursuit of getting off to the radiance of the scarlet eyes, a body part that doesn't even belong to her, like her own actual physical beauty has diminished in the light of the kurta eyes next to them. Like her actual body was, at least in that moment, just a tool for Chrollo to indulge in an old unearthed obsession. The fact he so insidiously objectifies both this poor dead kurta clan victim AND reader, both subjects of his viciousness and abuse in completely different ways, and gets off to the fact that one of his murder victims is being forced into a form of intimacy with him after he literally snuffed them out... This poor kurta clan member can't receive any rest or peace or dignity even in death... Just horrible. Not to mention the fact he was completely unbothered by the fact that hunting for the eyes for so long was inducing so much pent up anxiety and stress in reader, especially considering she'd just suffered such a deeply isolating and traumatic accident. The fact he feels zero guilt in torturing/tormenting reader for months on end both awake and when she was asleep, completely vulnerable, even though the night terrors and panic attacks clearly traumatised and debilitated her. His callous usage of her for his own curiosity/sadistic pleasure escalates to the point he becomes so audacious he chokes her during a moment where she's genuinely lucid! He doesn't even care anymore that he's strangling her whilst she's wide awake! And the worst part is she's just too deferential towards him to legitimately confront it.
Which leads to the saddest person in the fic: poor poor reader. Honestly, when it comes to stories like this, I feel like people tend to believe aggressive readers that are combative and fight back are the ones who suffer the most since their obviously resistant behaviour tends to inspire rage in the yandere in question and severe punishment as a result. But I've always felt like readers such as this one, readers who are overly generous and submissive are amongst the most tragic of all, because by being so forgiving and boundary-less, they allow insatiable yanderes like Chrollo here, to take more and more and more of their dignity, their identity, their personhood... They're so profoundly mutilated from their own self-worth they just let things like this happen, their lack of sense of self/independence and the normalisation of their abuse is so ingrained it feels like even daring to fight for their own worth and dignity would be arrogant, selfish ... almost even petty. It's like watching a prey animal just lie down and do nothing whilst it's being eaten alive by a tiger, completely giving up on themselves and their own existence, giving in completely to the unrelenting oppressiveness of their environment. Though, having said all that... I do have to wonder if Chrollo may have shot himself in the foot here. Because those scarlet eyes still have nen in them, given how they interacted, if only fleetingly, with reader. I wonder if being attached to a living body now, and being activated to glow scarlet so often, especially by their own personal killer, will inspire that nen to grow, and lead to a subtle growing resentment/bloodthirstiness in reader that Chrollo won't see coming, especially from so 'servile' a victim. It would certainly be a very ironic and very deserved case of hubris if that were to happen, made even more poignant by the fact that it would be ushered into motion by one of Chrollo's past victims empowering the current. Like his victims are somehow uniting, empowering, uplifting each other, in whatever small ways they can, even after death, to gnaw at the chain of Chrollo's iron abuse.
Just amazing, I had a hell of a time reading this fic – left me thinking on ever since it was posted, thank you so so much <3 🩷❤️
First off, thank you so much for sending this! It was a lot of fun to read over all of your thoughts regarding my fic❤️❤️❤️
I had a lot of moments while writing this where I thought to myself of just how awful Chrollo was being to both reader and especially the unknown member of the Kurta Clan. You're absolutely correct when you say that they can't get any peace or dignity in death. Chrollo is just too selfish and greedy
Poor reader really should've stayed home that day and dealt with being a lil lonely while she waited for Chrollo to come back😭
I'm very glad that you enjoyed the fic! It always makes me happy to hear when people enjoy my work! And thank you again for this detailed message. It was very nice to see when I opened up my inbox today🥰🥰🥰
If you're taking er.....'requests' for theories about characters, I want to discuss something peculiar about David <- being a simp
I'm going to sound like the biggest David apologist ever, but....I have reason to believe that he wasn't lying about his family depression secret. Not in the sense that he actually has it, but him legitimately believing that was his motive secret. When he walked into the dining hall in episode 4, he was getting frustrated and stressed from all the fighting and you can even see the stars going out in his eyes. His distress and annoyance felt more to himself since his body language also helps to see that he was doing his best to block out the fight. The first CG looks like he was trying to think of something to stop it, and the second one looks like he was just growing more and more stressed until he finally stepped. What I'm trying to say is, his family depression secret feels more blurted out than actually thought out. Yet, it was highlighted in yellow, so it's worth considering. Not to mention, he has shown signs of being depressed since day one
You can also see when Arei was going to confront him, she started off by flat out saying "Why did you lie about your secret?" after she found David. David was still shocked at her question. If you knew you were caught red handed lying about your secret, yeah you would still try to deny it. But the first thing that comes to mind, in this situation, is that "Oh shit, Arei must've gotten my secret,". It was also hinted that David thought this way when Arei told him she wanted to talk about his 'secret' until Teruko and Eden walked in. So why would David still try to 'play dumb' when he knew he was done for with the person he presumed had his secret?
My guess is that he genuinely thought his family depression was legit his secret. You can even see his sprite when Arei reveals what it actually is. He's......shocked. He stutters a bit until he asked Arei if she was the one that got his secret, and then just....completely shuts off. He even goes to see the secrets being revealed the next day (keep in mind, he KNOWS what his real secret is) and when Teruko asked him which one is really his, he uses a similar sprite to the ones he used when Arei was grilling him. They all look like he's on the brink of a panic attack, almost triggering him. It's a whole another can of worms than what I'm going on about, but opening the lid a little bit.....David looks....triggered by being called manipulative. It makes me think that this whole act is a breakdown of his and he's just playing along with a last minute act he made up cause no one is going to believe anything he says cause they're convinced he's just this horrible person with no context behind it. You can even see Arturo was triggered when his secret was brought up. If I was planning a killing game and this was the secret I was working with, I would care more about getting underneath the skin of the participants than making these secrets accurate. Not saying one secret is wrong and the others are right, but you can't deny they're worded in a really unfavorable manner
Also, ngl, even if you are aware you are manipulative, how can anyone guess their secret is "You were born only to manipulate others"?
Sorry I went off on a tangent, but yeah :)
don’t worry about going on a tangent, you’re not the only one lol. if someone mentions david in front of me, i will start talking about him and never shut up ( ´ ▽ ` )
Tumblr media
(take what i’m about to say with a grain of salt)
and actually, i think i touched on this a little bit once! i highly doubt david was aware that his secret was about manipulation, at least not until arei revealed it to him in private.
i’ve mentioned this before but david’s motive secret is the most “up to interpretation” out of the rest of the cast, and there’s no specific factual details in there like the other secrets:
“the thing is, everyone else’s secret, though written in a way that took out crucial context and painted them in a bad light, was at least somewhat based on an actual occurrence, portion of their identity, and real information. david’s secret is the most vague and was written in a way to attack his purpose and what he personally (secretly) believes his actions to entail. but, unlike everyone else, there’s no concrete occurrence, action that he’s done, or any specific detail in that secret that connects him to manipulation. additionally, his is the most open-ended.”
overall, his secret is really ambiguous, which makes it difficult to guess in the first place.
given that it’s heavily implied that he at least struggles with his mental health, it makes significantly more sense (for david) to think his secret was about depression.
but the thing is—david’s pretty smart, so i’m sure he’s aware that these secrets were tailored to “get underneath the skin of the participants” like what you said. but not only that, they’re also written in a way that diminishes the reputation of that person from an outside perspective.  i mean, even the secret he received (which is probably teruko’s) is worded in that way—it’s incredibly difficult to take something like “this killing game is your fault” at face value without proper background information. these secrets are almost written in a way to be accusatory, and it’s difficult to derive any outside context about them without directly asking the person themselves.
but in that case, which would be more tarnishing towards the reputation of the “Ultimate Inspirational Speaker” — the fact that your family has a history of depression, or the fact that you’re still struggling with depression yourself?
my personal theory is that david actually thought that his secret was about his own depression (despite his optimistic persona), and his wording of a “family history of depression” was a half-hearted attempt to dance around that fact. but like you said, it was blurted out, so i feel like it was more a rushed attempt than anything else. though it’s heavily likely that the family history of depression is still true, it’s still intriguing that he decides to use this exact wording—and personally, i see it as him refusing to directly admit he has depression himself. (but i do think david genuinely believed his secret was related to depression)
about the part with him possibly being triggered by the word “manipulation,” i think that’s a really good theory. like you said, his sprites (and that shaky breath the VA put in) during his conversation with arei look like he’s genuinely shutting down. not just that, the same exact sprites are used right before his breakdown in the ch2 trial, when his motive secret is officially confirmed (and when everyone else is reacting to it). it makes total sense if he was spiraling during that time, and i personally believe that to be the case. if you couldn’t already tell from my previous posts lol /lh
thank you for the ask lexi ^^ sorry this is kind of short though, i wrote this while on a car trip so it was kinda rushed
and like i said before, my inbox is currently open so feel free to send in other things you guys are curious about as well!
THE WIDOW AND THE BOY
BY: sarcasticpinapple
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/30398256/chapters/74943624
TW: graphic depictions of violence, blood and injury, nightmares
Natasha Romanoff is on the run after Captain America: Civil War, with Secretary Thaddeus Ross close on her tail. Back in Queens, she happens to run into none other than Peter Parker, the slightly annoying spider kid in spandex that Tony found on the internet somehow.
MY THOUGHTS:
I love, love, love this fanfic. It's one of my personal favorites, and I could read this a thousand times over and never get tired of it. Perfect grammar and punctuation, amazing formatting, and a smooth, consistent plot that's both in-character and makes me laugh out loud and empathize with the characters. They do an absolutely stellar job with the character's voice, and I could fully immerse myself into Nat's train of thought. If you want a lighter fic that's both realistic and kind of crack-ish at moments, this is definitely the fic for you!!
SECOND CHANCES DON’T COME EASY
BY: Watch_as_the_rain_fell
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/30763790/chapters/75932426
TW: neglect? Slight emotional abuse (but it’s more implied than shown)
Natasha knows Tony was left by all of them. Let down by his entire team, including her, and she wanted to fix it in someway. What she didn't expect to find when she went to the tower was Spider-Man, much less him acting very differently to how she expected, less bubbly. What she really didn't expect was to care for the man without even knowing who he actually was.
She knew she had a long way to go to gain the trust of the two men, knew she'd made mistakes, but hadn't all of them? This whole mess had blown up quicker than any of them could have anticipated and their family was torn apart. Natasha knew that fixing her family was going to be hard but maybe Natasha wouldn't have to fix it alone.
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this fanfic a lot, and this is honestly one of my first introductions to mama spider as a concept but it is firmly team Ironman (which I’m very anti-tony) but it’s still a great read, well-made but very angsty not going to lie. Grammar and spelling are really good, along with plot and storyline and it has proper formatting!!
DON'T HIDE THAT
BY: TheAsexualOfSpades
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27465043
TW: Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Blood/Injury.
Spider strength is both a blessing and a curse.
Peter can hold this building up long enough for the others to get the people out. He can do so he has to do it. He grits his teeth inside the mask until the air squeaks out and still he clenches. Peter knows he’s not supposed to clench his jaw this hard, it fucks up his neck and his shoulders and his whole system, but he has to hold this building up.
My Thoughts:
Adorable and very hurt/comfort-y (which is my JAM) for those of you who prefer completed fics this is a wonderful option!!! Not a lot of overt mama spider (it's more in the background) but it's still great!
DIRTY WORK
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/39521496/chapters/98922948
TW: child abuse, blood/injury, panic attacks
"And maybe teenagers are like that, maybe that is what they do. She wouldn’t know.
But it all seems so wrong."
or
Natasha Romanov watches, Peter Parker is seen, and help is given. Tony is there as well, he's trying his best.
My Thoughts:
oh, my, GOD!!! IT'S SO GOOD!!! NATASHA CHARACTERIZATION IS THE KIND I S T R I V E TO WRITE AND THE FORMATTING AND EVERYTHING IT'S JUST *mwah * perfect chefs kiss beautiful
That's all for now, but go over and comment someone nice things because I n e e d more of this shit.
love you all! Stay safe and drink water ❤️
Wh y did Percy have a panic attack when the group when Artagan asked to be shown a “good time”? Why do you think he did anyway?
You mean in Episode 112? (A note: please give me a rough episode estimate, I can usually figure it out but knowing which transcript to search makes my life a lot easier)
Various reasons, I imagine. To look at the Transcript* directly:
TALIESIN: I am legit out of sheer panic going to take off all of my clothes and dive straight into that lake. That little pond? I’m washing. I have had a nervous breakdown. I am like, yeah, no, we’re naked into the water. MATT: “Well, that is considered good manners, definitely.” LIAM: 11 minutes from now, I’m going to be joining you, Percival. TALIESIN: I’m in there, yelling into the water right now because it’s been too much.
Context wise it seems to me it's not just Artagan and the preceding dialogue - it's that everything as a whole has been an awful lot, he's stressed as hell, and it's kind of worth remembering that Percy pretty canonically dissociated for several years after the Briarwoods - severe stress fucks him up. Further, he doesn't like it when he can't do anything - his love language is gifts and acts of service, he likes to be useful, and there is a grand total of fuck all he can do.
So, the various reasons for his panic attack, in my opinion:
Everything is pretty stressful and the stresses are all things Percy can't do anything about. He doesn't like that.
Adding onto that, Percy is a private person who was tortured. He likely has no interest in being party to whatever "good time" the others suggest to Artagan (Scanlan, Vex and Vax are actively flirting with Artagan at that stage, Scanlan prepping to remove his trousers and Vax making comments about removing his armour). Percy values his bodily autonomy and probably wouldn't want to be roped into it even if he wasn't already committed to Vex.
I repeat. This man has been tortured. The idea of trusting anyone, let alone a relative stranger, with his physical wellbeing, is probably not a fun prospect to him!
And then on top of this, he played a trick on Garmelie/Artagan the last time they met, with the Threshhold Crests, and Percy was familiar with the Feywild and Feywild stories - he's probably wary of retaliation and thus thinks he has even less reason to trust Artagan with his physical wellbeing.
Vax died. Vax is going to die. And at the end of the day, a good part of that is due to firstly, Percy's own recklessness in the tomb and secondly, not stopping the Briarwoods completely in Whitestone. Percy has a massive sense of responsibility. He very likely feels responsible for Vax's fate to some degree, and consequently the fact that his wife and his best friend are going to be losing someone incredibly dear to them. I don't imagine that helps matters any.
Also, he had the knowledge of the Divine Trammels in his head not that long ago and he says himself that he's "Not meant to know that" + not that long ago the whole love potion situation happened.
They are prioritising dealing with Vecna. Percy has had basically no time to process any of this and they are presently outside of time in the Feywild, in a relatively safe, known place - he can have a complete freakout for the first time in a while. They're not in the Mansion which isn't outside of time (and which they just learned isn't wholly safe) - they are on a whole other plane which interacts oddly with the Prime Material.
And... it's notable that after Percy's had his panic freakout, he returns to the group - still speaking to Argatan - dripping wet and naked. To quote!
TALIESIN: Coming back sopping wet and naked I’ll say: And we’ve got this weird thing that we’re not entirely sure about.
So yeah, I think for the most part it's just Everything being Too Much and Overwhelming with the others flirting with Artagan being the trigger that tipped him over the edge and aided by the fact they're finally in a pretty safe space and so he's able to take that needed moment to Screm.
*using the tumblr and not kryogenix because I needed to first find the episode and searching Artagan's name through the old tumblr is faster than filtering through every example turned up in the kryogenix database.
Derision spoilers
So the episode was a bit...eh? For me.
There was a lot of stuff i liked like I liked having a flashback and I liked Marinette having panic attacks...but the way it was handled was... not great.
We know from the origins episode that Chloe had bullied Marinette to the point she was hoping she wasn't in her class that year as well not liking Adrien at first because he was friends with Chloe, and she thought he pulled a prank on her...so yes, I can see them elaborating on that...but...Kim? Really? We know he had a crush on Chloe, but the way he acted was so out of character, and if it gave Marinette all that trauma, why was she even around Kim? Why be friends with him if it hurt her that much?
Sometimes people are just awkward and get obsessive over things. Sometimes there doesn't need to be a reason.
I personally think that it would have been a good episode if they continued with the Chloe redemption arc. It could have shown how far Chloe has come as a person, from terrorizing Marinette to at least tolerating her.
Adrien... you told her you wouldn't be friends with her and warned her so many times..how is this different? Seriously, Chloe went from one of my favorite characters to me hating her, not because of what she does but because the writers are ruining her. They are turning her into Lila.
The panic attack thing I really liked. I just wish it was more of a trigger from Marinette losing the miraculous, not Kim pulling a prank on her. And her being scared to tell Adrian how she felt could be because she is scared and nervous (which is completely natural), and with the whole Luka thing where she couldn't tell him who she was and kept secrets from him and then Hawkmoth being an even worse threat...it would make sense why she wouldn't be able to confess her feelings because she can't be completely honest and worried for his safety.
Just...I'm disappointed by this episode, especially when we just had a really good one before it.
The scary Truth Behind the Guest part 1: the trauma of two people’s past (My Theory )
The Guest a human bird creature that haunts the town of raven brooks who feasts off fears of you and Quentin’s soul and making your investigations to raven brooks a living nightmare.
We all know the Guest/Visitor/Forest protectors and of course The Goose, but what we don’t know is who under the mask? Well we had theories all of us had amazing theories like the guest being Ike Mr.Peterson old friend Ike who possibly survived or Gordon Cleave who was a Forest Protector and the one I believed to be the case.
Now there the other possibility is that The Guest is actually Aaron taking after his dad with there being a lot of evidence of this so it would make sense that he would be Aaron...well until the beta came out, while it could be still true that he is the guest it wouldn’t make sense on why he is tall and what his motvation would be especially when all of this is right after act 2. Which leaves Mr.Peterson and while we could just assume it’s him it is him it’s confirmed in two books reset day and The Raven Brooks disaster I don’t know why but they could of wait until hello neighbor 2 was out but yea Peterson is chicken man but is he really and to answer that is yes...and no, while it is shown that yes Mr.Peterson is the guest heck it shows right here.
Tumblr media
there is one scene in the book that puzzled everyone which was a scene where Mr.Peterson is trying to do a good thing in his life but then out of nowhere the guest comes out of nowhere and drowns him
Tumblr media
but yet it is shown that Mr.Peterson is the guest and this puzzled everyone and I haven’t seen anyone even talk about this because it just really weird I mean who could explain this...well I can’t explain why they did this but it was until I watch a lot of star wars movies and star wars theory about darth vader and anakin skywalker as well as total drama with the character Mike where it all hit me so I did what anyone would do and decided to remember Mr.Peterson personality and what was his actions and his trauma as well as Nicky’s.
and that when it all came together that this moment that we are all seeing is not some stupid weird clash...no we are seeing a man trying to gain control of his own mind but isn’t strong enough and is taking his last breath as he dies in the process to his new creation...that right this is the death of Mr.Peterson and the birth of the Guest let me explain.
first let's talk about Mr.Peterson and Nicky and what the first game was about. In the first game the game is about Nicky while on the surface being a game about sneaking into your creepy Neighbor house and discover his secrets it’s really about Nicky facing his past and taking on his trauma head on but while act 3 and finale isn’t real they are important to solving the guest.
This is important it is said that in the neighbor guide book that when Nicky is a  adult Nicky he pretty much the same to his Child self and the reason for this is that Nicky couldn’t grow up and move on with his life we are shown through out the game that Nicky has nightmares of his past and it gets worse when he moves back where he experience Panic attacks to point to where he curls up in a ball and try’s to sleep it off only to wake up in this living nightmare for him...and us because playing act 3 is torture XD.
Throughout act 3 Nicky collects object solves puzzles and sneaks past Peterson to obtain his goal but while those are well and good there are three that are more important to Nicky that being the fear rooms with them severing purpose of Nicky facing his fears and going through them and in the end he gets special powers that make him stronger and more powerful then Peterson himself until he reaches the act finale this is where Nicky finally gets to face his fears and move on with his life and in the end he does.
were shown in the ending that he is much more calm and even happy at waking up and seeing the sun as he starts moving in this important because Nicky in this moment has finally move on because in the story Nicky is alone and lives in apartment that he can’t even afford to live in and shows that he has no job no place to go clearly Nicky is alone and is living in a unhappy life where he alone with no one because he couldn’t move on he just a child in a man’s body it only until he faces his fears and see that he shouldn’t live in the past and needs pick up the pieces of his life and make a better life by facing his fears and finally putting them behind him and grow up finally.
Tumblr media
So how I see it is that Nicky faces his fears and learns to move on from his past and learn that rather than focusing on the past he should focus on the future and clearly that is true as we see Nicky move box after box into his house with a smile. Nicky has clearly moved on and instead of focusing on the past he now focusing on the future and making a happy life for himself...but that can’t be said for Mr.Peterson because where Nicky moves on from his past Peterson doesn’t.
It has shown that Peterson still attempts to try to do his failed goals either being to rebuild his failed theme parks or try to capture the people who have wrong him that being Enzo in reset day, But he takes it a step further to point to where he will flood all of Raven Brooks so he can get his revenge showing that he is gone insane but that the thing Mr.Peterson has showed through the series that he is insane that being because of his past with his childhood like in the novel disco bay it shown that he killed Jen Brother in ride failure and in the end he still continue to make theme parks which once again caused him took take more lives which through these resulted in two things
One: to continue to make theme parks even though when he does people die and instead of finally just quitting or or spend time with his family he continues which shows that Peterson doesn’t learn from his past and rather then maybe finding a better job or have a career change he still holds onto making a entire theme park in his basement just to entertain his guests it also to note that he was totally building this before his family died this proven on how he long it would take to build a entire amusement park under ground which means he is still hold onto the past rather then looking forward to the future and still continuing to fail and never learning from it.
two: his ever growing insanity. With every failure Mr.Peterson has begin to become on edge and become even cuckoo at times but it also from his childhood as a kid his parents were arrested and judging by the books were not the best to him and plus his sister seems more more distance towards him which seems to explain why he insane in the first book of Aaron and why he also distance towards his own family but all this failures and neglect has caused Peterson to hang onto the past and to go insane and final push was when Lucy Yi died to where Mr.Peterson has weird behaviors in final book being the scene where he said to Maritza “ I made lucy fly.”
The scene where he said that was the point to where we saw how Peterson is truly awful person and his excuse was worse to where he says “ he wasn’t in the right mind “ and while rereading this scene it disgust me on how a person can say something like that to a little girl after he killed her on accident but after rereading it again and again it connects to the scene in novel because in novel Mr.Peterson has gone fully insane to point to where he will keep a crow in his truck and talks to it and also is willing to destroys the whole town while this could be him being just doing it out of revenge I think it something else or someone else that has Mr.Peterson in the wrong mind.
I think overall with rereading every scene in the books with Mr P we always get to see how wrap up he is with the past and how he keeps going insane from it and as well as events that happen which it keeps on getting worse to the point to where he will say to a little girl “ I made your friend fly “ and I think with that one word and everything else we see in the future of Mr.Peterson is explain as well as how he is the guest but not.
I think that with all evidence and facts that I explain I believe that the guest is not a ghost or a separate person or a mutant bird or a giant KFC no but a split Personality that is manifested by Peterson’s insanity and his desires for his revenge and his past which all of this will be explain in part 2 for reasons and more evidence.
(also I know I included Nicky but that was because he does have a sort of place in this because he represents what Peterson couldn’t do which was to focus more on the future and make better decisions for his life but the ending of hello neighbor where Mr.Peterson is trap in that house and is unable to face his own demons )
Hope you guys enjoy and sorry if this was too detailed but I just want to explain the origins of Peterson and how he the guest as well as not next will be what truly caused him to become the guest and some evidence to back up this theory hope you all have a good day.
