I made a medieval fantasy style meal for dinner tonight! It was super easy to do and it was fun kind of like going to medieval times when I was 10! I had some Welch's sparkling grape juice with it (since I can't drink alcohol because of my antipsychotics), and mom and sibling had wine! And I made the bread into garlic bread on a last minute whim, but my god bitch, I got it to the PERFECT kind of crunchy. Sometimes you just have to eat like a medieval peasant splurging at a tavern and that's FUN. Gotta eat like you are chilling in a Neverwinter Tavern and the adventuring life is good.

TWILIGHT'S DAUGHTER CREATURE - THE WITHERED

In this write-up, heavily inspired by John Carpenter's The Fog and Prince Of Darkness, we are introduced to The Withered - poor unfortunate souls who were trapped in The Void Between and left to be worn down by the corruptive and maddening realm of non-existence until they were nothing more than empty husks serving the will of their master.

But then that raises some questions.

Just who do The Withered call "master"?

And second,

2. Why are the so interested in Davrick Bene above all the other heroes of Twilight's Daughter?

(AKA This wholesome goober right here, who prefers to be kind instead of casting one of the MANY INCREDIBLY POWERFUL SPELLS that have been lost to time and only he knows?)

The only way to find out is to read Twilight's Daughter when I finally finish writing it! But until then, I'll continue these write-ups of various monsters from Twilight's Daughter to fill the void (pun intended). Not sure what monster or creature I'll do a write-up for, next. Lord knows I have a lot to choose from.

Cecilia the groundskeeper said the ghosts have been extra cranky ever since that tour of schoolchildren came to visit last week. Parsimony Smit (1667 – 1721) disagrees, stating merely that the coming supermoon is what has all the spirits in a tizzy. Not that he would ever stoop to such behavior himself.

Parsimony Smit (“Death is a debt to nature due that I have paid and so must you”) is one of the more respectable members of the deceased community here, according to himself, unlike Archie Jack (1854 – 1881 “Now between / these carved stones / rich treasure lies / dear Jack his bones”) who never got over his childish love of pulling pranks. Cecilia said you should be fine, as long as you don’t bring anything into the graveyard you don’t mind mysteriously winding up in a nearby tree. You’re not sure exactly what you’ve gotten yourself into here.

The Graveyard Game is a solo-journaling game where you travel to a magical haunted graveyard in order to learn more about the community and write an ethnography on them. 

Pull cards to ask questions of the residents, roll dice to see how well interactions go, and get to know a host of colorful characters from prankster ghosts, to the cemetery gravedigger, to a local vampire, and a mysterious stranger. Unlock 12 different locations and gain levels in friendship and familiarity with the community as you document more and more in your field notes.

You'll need: A d20, d12, and d8, and a deck of playing cards 

The Graveyard Game is a hack of For Truth's Sake by @hmooncreates. It was inspired by The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

TWILIGHT'S DAUGHTER CREATURE - HELL SQUIRRELS

So, here's one more critter (animal critter, not Critical Role fandom) from the world of Mallinor. This time, from the Infernal Realm. A place of dark omnipresent red skies filled with tumultuous clouds, dark soil that has bears the scent of bloodstained earth, pillars of flame that line the roads and barbarous trees home to a plethora of unique and somewhat frightening beasts both large and small.

And small is the optimal word today. Because the creature that has gotten the newest write-up is none other than the Hell Squirrel - a very small, very feral and very original beast made of spikes and fire and bones and fangs.

(And naturally, the Half Demon hero named Corvis, Prince of the Throne Of Lies and Fire Shaman Fuckboy extraordinaire, is involved...)

Just read on and you'll see what I mean!

(Told you they were mean little buggers! Corvis was just trying to be nice.)

And next time, Davrick will be in the highlight when he finds something coming through the other side of the mirror while investigating a room inside a tower.

And trust me, this thing on the Other Side is definitely NOT your Friend.
