Missing that one person that you feel like you shouldn't miss is okay too. Even if it has been way too long since the end. Doesn't mean you haven't moved on. Its just human nature to miss what was. Don't be too hard on yourself for merely being human.
More importantly, there were so many times that you could have reached out to them in a moment of weakness. But each time you didn't, each time you stopped, you resisted the strong pull of nostalgia and prioritized yourself above all else, and I am so proud of you for doing that.

It's weird how people paint "daddy issues" and even "mommy issues" as, like, a joke or a failure on part of the person who has those issues, rather than recognizing that daddy and mommy issues stem, for so many people, from abuse. What this all is is just abuse apologia, and nobody seems to either notice or maybe even care.
When somebody with daddy or mommy issues opens up about the "why," I can't ever seem to shake the fact that they tend to have gone through a ton of abuse and bullshit as a child. It's just crazy that other people would look at that and see a joke or a failure of the once-child who was abused.

I know I have wayyy too many fan projects on my to-do list to warrant adding another one onto the pile (cough cough the 30-minute love triangle video essay), but for years now I've been wanting to do a rewrite/novelization of the Shadow of Ronin video game. Because like, the lore of this game has so many fucked up implications that never get acknowledged - but unlike with most fucked up Ninjago lore, the game is just obscure enough that not as many people are familiar with it enough to facilitate a broader discussion about this stuff. And dammit, I need at least one fic talking about how messed up SoR actually was and if I cannot find it I guess I'll just have to create it.

anyways the animators did a great job of making cxs look tired and depressed as fuck in the second season. the changes to his appearance themselves are very subtle but like the whole thing is so noticeable to me.
like for the majority of season 1, he's super expressive. the only time we see him with a more stoic expression is the day after he exits chen xiao's photo, and he goes back to his usual self after the case with dou dou
but with season 2, with the exception of episodes 1 and 2 bc those were emotional rides, his expression is very diluted most of the time. he almost looks like he's in a daze half the time. his eyes aren't really alert anymore and he's definitely not as energetic as he was. sure he cracks a few jokes occasionally but it's not near as much as during the first season

Do you just go asking order time-wise, or do you pick the ones you like best?
If someone sent an ask and didn't have it answered, would it be annoying if they sent it again after a while or would you answer it if you have more time then?
Hi! For the longest of time I went with answering the oldest asks first, and consequently got burnt out a little when there was a sudden influx of asks and headcanons that when the blog grew unexpectedly fast.
Of course I love that people are eager to hear my take on things or want to share ideas, but i have a bad habit of shouldering too much in too short an amount of time. And that’s totally on me, but it also resulted in me entering a bit of a writing slump, so I’m pacing myself a lot more now and currently respond to asks in whatever order I like best.
It also didn’t help that some anons came by and literally told me to “kill yourself you dumb racist”, so that’s fun.
I still aim to answer all asks still sitting in my inbox eventually! It will just take longer if they’re very complex or long prompts/fic scenarios. I’m sorry I have to ask you guys for more patience on it
