THE CINEMATICS OF THIS.
In that first frame? With the three streams of water coming down in front of the camera?
Almost making another set of bars - like we were just talking about?
How the Syaorans and this bubble of time and the universe has been trapped as they circle this moment backwards and forwards until now, when this event finally happened properly?
How this confrontation has been locked in for a long time?
How Sakura herself has been frozen in this temporal prison the entire time?
How there are three streams of water, and this is the third confrontation between the Syaorans?
And this is where it all ends!

ok so like i know the reason is just. sexism but one thing that really irks me about how the post-timeskip naruto manga handled which characters became medic nin bc it makes absolutely no sense to me
sakura's decision to train under tsunade makes sense, and i love that she got a super strength power up, so no notes there, but the other teams.... yeesh
so first off, team ten. we're told that ino decided to follow sakura into mednin land to keep being rivals with her... despite that at no point factoring into their rivalry at all beforehand. ino never showed any interest in that, nor was the yamanaka clan ever mentioned to have anything to do with healing as far as i can remember. it's like going to art school to stay with your bestie when your goal is to become a dentist. why are you there. find other ways to spend time together. it also kinda goes against her family's whole thing as. the guys who do the torture stuff. and it's barely ever relevant anyway
for team ten, i think the team medic should've been shikamaru, and i think this not just bc i think it makes more sense skill-wise (something about the way the nara clan's various shadow jutsu work just screams "you need good chakra control for this" to me), but also bc i think it would make asuma's death a thousand times more painful. bc shikamaru is a slacker. he's not learning medical ninjutsu bc he wants to, he's learning it bc someone on the team has to in order to stick together. they're all chuunin now; one of them has to be a medic. them's the rules. but he doesn't really care that much, even when he is trying to learn, and he's so used to being smart enough to not have to pay attention in lessons anyway that he's not prepared for classes that require his full focus. and then asuma dies and shikamaru is doomed to spend the rest of his fucking life wondering if he could've saved him by paying just a little more attention to those medical ninjutsu lessons (he could not have (but he'll never know for sure))
team eight makes some sense, since giving the girl who struggles with fighting the healing job isn't exactly out of nowhere, but i do feel it was the lazy choice. kiba already had a sister involved in the medical business, even if she deals more with animals, so he could've started learning from her and found that he liked it. plus kiba's goal is to be hokage, and the current hokage is a mednin, so it's not like it wouldn't support his goal. or shino could do it; would add another layer to his character. hinata works fine but. it's just not a very interesting development imo
but what really gets me is team gai. good freaking grief. out of every single team, team gai was the one with the most obvious choice. bc there was only one choice. lee can't do any kind of ninjutsu, and tenten's only real backstory is that her chakra control isn't good enough for her to be a medic nin. so it had to be neji. canon establishes that every team has to have a medic; this is a policy tsunade got passed even before she became hokage, so no way in hell is she going back on it now.
moreover, neji becoming a medical ninja - especially if hiashi encouraged it - would show some development for the hyuuga clan maybe starting to suck a bit less. bc as a medic, neji would be bound by oath to stay alive for as long as possible. imagine a world in which hizashi came back and hiashi was able to tell his brother that not only was their family starting to change, but his son had chosen a path that would prevent him from ever following in his father's footsteps. it would be the first step (of many) to show that the hyuuga clan was freeing itself from its own bullshit.
also it would've made sakura catching the zetsu pretending to be neji a thousand times funnier. like that's her coworker. they've shared shifts at the hospital together. she's seen neji drink vodka straight from a bottle and then crash on her couch after they got out of a twelve-hour surgery on the fucking dumbass chuunin who managed to step on his own boobytrap. she knows him.

Can I just go on a rant about how much I hate them forcing naruhina down our throats? Like idk if you know about it, but there's a really popular naruto game for playstation called "naruto ultimate ninja storm", and there's 4 of them. The first one covers all of the events of part 1, the second one everything in shippuden up to the pain arc, the third one everything after that right before the war, and the fourth one is the whole war and the final fight. After the fourth one's events, they made some side quests in the adventure mode which briefly shows some of the characters lives after the war, but no one's story is as forced as hinata's. Not only can you not skip it like you can skip the others, but there's literally MULTIPLE small quests that have to do with her and ppl tryna pathetically force her and naruto together 😭 even SAI (??) to make things worse, sasuke, an objectively really important character both in the story and in naruto the MCs life, is nowhere to be seen. Ik he's traveling at this point but they could've easily shown him writing letters to naruto or maybe have naruto go on an adventure to meet him somewhere, but nope. Instead they have sakura playing matchmaker and telling naruto to take hinata around the world to different important places in naruto's life to show her his adventures (including the final valley!! that really pissed me off 😡) and the whole time naruto's just confused why he has to do alla that 😭 like that cringey quest not even working makes the whole thing even more annoying and pointless. It felt like they were kinda incorporating the last movie's storyline into the game. And the one with sai has him literally call hinata an angel and every other konoha girl the devil bc they dared to call out naruto's flaws, but good little missy hinata bug eyes princess hyuga kept finding good in every one of his bad flaws so she must be a sweet little angel 😭 she worships him like he's a God and they call it being in love. I mean naruto and sasuke are in love with each other and neither worships the other so 🥴 the quest was basically the konoha girls getting together to tell hinata about naruto's flaws so she can know him better if she wants to pursue a relationship with him. like the whole thing is so fucking cringey and weird idek where to begin with it. Like first of all who the fuck are all the girls tryna tell hinata about naruto as if they even know him that well? Besides sakura who still doesn't even know him well enough to give that kinda advice. But also why the hell is sai complimenting the hell out of hinata as if he even knows who she is? Like other than the last movie he has no idea who she is and canon shippuden sai is under the impression naruto's in love with sakura so it makes no sense for him to do this. Another one has hinata's sister analyzing naruto to see if he's good for her and once again naruto's just confused. In fact he doesn't even know who she is until she tells him and he realizes they look alike 😂 This whole thing is so obviously the very definition of forced. First we have to witness her in canon and now I can't even play a game peacefully without miss "n-n-n-n-n-n-naruto-kun 👉🏻👈🏻" or other ppl praising her highness being shoved down my throat 🙄 I like that they made naruto confused the whole time tho, at least that was ic. Wish sasuke was in it more tho. I'm glad at least they didn't have that happen to him cuz that would be too far for me 😭 I don't wanna have to witness weirdos approaching sasuke to shove sakura up his ass like they do with poor naruto. Anyway rant over, I'm gonna read narusasu fics to fill the hole in my heart now :/
Hi <3
“Can I just go on a rant about how much I hate them forcing naruhina down our throats? Like idk if you know about it, but there's a really popular naruto game for playstation called "naruto ultimate ninja storm", and there's 4 of them. The first one covers all of the events of part 1, the second one everything in shippuden up to the pain arc, the third one everything after that right before the war, and the fourth one is the whole war and the final fight.”
Ofc, you can always come and rant <;3 (I myself had to hold back so much to not go on a major Hinata rant after reading this though 😒) Ah yes, I actually planned to play the fourth one and the one that’s coming out (storm connections). Other then having seen some gameplay and trailers I’m not too familiar with the games yet.. I do find it interesting that they always exploit teen-SNS for promotional material even if their adult-selves are the subject of the promotion and how Naruto's always next to his son when they're around the same age, lol.
“After the fourth one's events, they made some side quests in the adventure mode which briefly shows some of the characters lives after the war, but no one's story is as forced as hinata's. Not only can you not skip it like you can skip the others, but there's literally MULTIPLE small quests that have to do with her and ppl tryna pathetically force her and naruto together 😭 even SAI (??) “
You can skip sq’s except for Hinata’s 🥲? Well, I’ve never seen ‘the Last’, but that’s exactly what they do in that movie, right? The entire plot is to force a version of a dumbed down Naruto that suddenly lacks all development and emotional intelligence for the sake of miss princess to then “screw” (Boruto; bolt) them together through Naruto's utter confusion and canon retcon because he'd never otherwise, lmao it’s so pathetic. Instead of giving us a proper blank period story they come with this bs. So I’m guessing the story in the game went the same direction...
“like that cringey quest not even working makes the whole thing even more annoying and pointless. It felt like they were kinda incorporating the last movie's storyline into the game.”
Ah yeah.
“to make things worse, sasuke, an objectively really important character both in the story and in naruto the MCs life, is nowhere to be seen. Ik he's traveling at this point but they could've easily shown him writing letters to naruto or maybe have naruto go on an adventure to meet him somewhere, but nope."
He is canonically just as important as Naruto to tell the story (harmony), but do you really think that if they've actually shown Naruto meeting up with Sasuke during the blank period that it's then possible in any way to make the sequel happen the way it is now and force every traumatized-from-war-etc-19yo to marry and have babies as quickly as possible? No.
Every time I start typing the reasons why I end up ranting so I gave up, but you'll understand why, yes? 😆 Too much happens when they're around each other, both in text, subtext, body language and emotion. If you want anyone to believe Naruto and Sasuke are happily married with wives (they're not happy) then they should avoid this. Alas.
"Instead they have sakura playing matchmaker and telling naruto to take hinata around the world to different important places in naruto's life to show her his adventures (including the final valley!! that really pissed me off 😡) and the whole time naruto's just confused why he has to do alla that 😭”
Nooo ffs! Poor Naruto!!!!!! 😩😩 But yeah, this does sound like the things I read about her movie where Sakura plays matchmaker so her and Hinata can 'help' each other (sure girlie, well played), where she smacks Naruto and calls him an 'idiot' idek how many times because they are trying to tell him he's in love with someone he's not... ... but VotE??? They really went there huh? (literally) 😒 Lol I’m just imagining Naruto talking excitedly about Sasuke or even Iruka during his tour, because anything important has nothing to do with her personally 😆 “oh yeah, I had my first kiss in class... it was with 🥰Sasuke🥰 actually, but you know where that is... aaaand here we are in the middle of Konoha, hehe, Hinata remember you wanted to commit suicide here for your own sake because you wanted me to acknowledge you for a minute? Except you disregarded everything else because you knew you didn't stand a chance anyway and you didn't mind trading that one minute of selfishness for the life of your Hyuuga-slave who would lose his head for you disobeying him and putting yourself in danger? And also ignoring what I and everyone else said and wished for because you just had to be so fucking selfish.... uh, your own words hehe, and you didn’t give a shit if I would feel guilty for the rest of my life for seeing a friend die in front of me, for my sake because you were the only one not trusting me? Even though I was in despair for not having an answer to the Akatsuki for a responsibility dumped on me, ah! Not because I wouldn't be able to do anything but you clearly don't have any faith me at all which is something I struggle with a lot because I want everyone to trust me y'know? Like the village does now... at least my power.. :/ ... I mean I guess.... and also because my trauma caused me to bear this responsibility of keeping what I thought was my only source of acknowledgement (the villagers) safe until I met Iruka and Sasuke, but then you said "fuck all!!!"... yeah no I almost heard you say it hehehe and it almost caused me to kill the entire village if it wasn't for my dead father????? Yeah HAHAHAaa eh, anyway let's move on. Oh! Over there, when I was with 🥰Sasuke 🥹🥰, lemme tall you about 🥰Sasukeeeee🥰-”
“And the one with sai has him literally call hinata an angel and every other konoha girl the devil bc they dared to call out naruto's flaws, but good little missy hinata bug eyes princess hyuga kept finding good in every one of his bad flaws so she must be a sweet little angel 😭 she worships him like he's a God and they call it being in love. Like first of all who the fuck are all the girls tryna tell hinata about naruto as if they even know him that well? Besides sakura who still doesn't even know him well enough to give that kinda advice.”
Oml. Here I went off-topic initially to complain about the villagers of Konoha who bad-mouth Naruto and all.. but we get how ridiculous it is that they are the ones thinking they know anything about Naruto when he represses everything for other people's sakes, right? Right. Also, lol, not only does Naruto have to give her an entire tour, she also goes to a Ted-talk to learn about him 😆? Isn't it the other way around in that movie where Naruto is stuck in a genjutsu (which is impossible at that point/retcon) to get a power point presentation about her to brainwash his dumbed-down self? "You love Hinata 101" That's kinda funny ngl. Girlie stalked his ass her entire life and only steps out of the shadow if she can profit from it in terms of acknowledgement and yet even after they are married knows nothing about him nor can say much about him to Boruto and leaves that task to Sasuke because she only knows what everyone else knows which is nothing more past the superficial surface HA!
“But also why the hell is sai complimenting the hell out of hinata as if he even knows who she is? Like other than the last movie he has no idea who she is and canon shippuden sai is under the impression naruto's in love with sakura so it makes no sense for him to do this. Another one has hinata's sister analyzing naruto to see if he's good for her and once again naruto's just confused. In fact he doesn't even know who she is until she tells him and he realizes they look alike 😂”
Well yeah, what do we expect from Sai.... Ajgharoguhwrgj I've seen things about characters 'doubting' whether Naruto is good 'enough' for princess Hinata even though... *gestures aggressively at the Manga*. They're used as mere trophies at this point :/
“This whole thing is so obviously the very definition of forced. Anyway rant over, I'm gonna read narusasu fics to fill the hole in my heart now :/“
Yep, but yeah I personally am happy that Sasuke is not made to be a part of that including the parts in Naruto's life that should've been a happy memory when they all end up in a disaster. That would've been contradictory would he have been by his side. I know many people have disagreed with me in the past but I stand by what I said; seeing them both miserable makes sense. It's also not what I wanted, but at least those parts are IC given we're already at this point. I don't want to bore you with a lot of marketing talk, but this is all part of its strategy. Kishimoto is the author and creator of the original Manga, but he isn't a businessman. Nor are the people in business necessarily storytellers. Professional storytellers (except for Jun Esaka, 'author' of retsuden, who's probably someone's niece or something) are hired to accomplish a goal. Everything beyond the original story goes through an entire web of business-related processes which by itself has nothing to with Kishimoto or the story but is often designed to expand a franchise and doing anything possible to make members of the audience into consumers and active participants to broaden the experience. Hence why games and such are media channels used for 'exclusive' content. These are considered a part of what we call content-mapping and they usually separate goals or subjects that need extra attention... Also, bet most of you didn't know that 'the Last' came with over 30 different types of exclusive merch and even 2 separate books to boost Hinata :') It's insane really. The main character isn't the main priority because it depends on the strategy.. which is kinda really screwed when you think about it because I do wonder how it would've played out if Naruto and Sasuke were 🥹 So yeah, it all makes sense, but it's not fun. Hope you were able to find some good fics though *-*🧡

I just realized that for some Sasuke fans it's difficult to understand that Kakashi didn't force Sasuke to love Sakura, I don't understand why they relate everything to ships, not everything is about bringing two characters together, when Kakashi said that the only time you need a reason is when you hate someone, he said it so that Sasuke stops being selfish, not so that he starts loving her out of nowhere. I'm tired of these kind of fans saying that he's a hypocrite, a bad character or someone who never learned anything just for that moment, those fans are very annoying and toxic for no reason. And on top of that they say that Kakashi fans are the ones who always justify everything with things that are not canon and just to make him look good
I wouldn’t call Sasuke selfish. I’m of the opinion that both Kakashi and Sasuke were right in their feelings and it’s because of their trauma
Sasuke loved his family and lost it, so for him he needs a reason to open his heart to anyone and risk that pain again.
Kakashi lost his father and his friends and his sensei, but one of his biggest regrets is that he was never really close to Obito and Rin (or even Minato possibly). We see he considers them his friends, but he always kept them at an arms length and then shddenly they were gone. Because of that, he’s of the opinion that one doesn’t need a reason to love anyone because that’s just an excuse to push people away until it’s too late (as he did)
These are both very valid outlooks and obv they’re gonna clash. Neither of them are wrong.
That being said, i agree with you. Kakashi wasn’t trying to push Sakura and Sasuke together. He was vouching for Sakura who he’d seen struggling over her love for Sasuke for so long. That’s all. He wanted Sasuke to open his heart and just be kind, rather than constantly pushing Sakura away
At the end of the day, it was Sasuke’s decidion weither to love Sakura romanticlly or not, or weither to get with her. Kakashi had no hand in that. His talk with Sasuke barely affected him, so how would he suddenly have this big hand in forcing sasuke to date Sakura?
It was Sakura who pushed. She was the one who chased after Sasuke and refused to give up. She’s the only one who continued to fight for her love and decided to ‘wear Sasuke down’ (if we follow the books). Kakashi had nothing to do with that. He said his piece vouching for Sakura and moved on.
But a lot of sasuke fans (not all obv. I know people who love sasuke who don’t make it their life goal to villinize everyone who went against him for even five seconds) have decided that Kakashi is the worst person every and instead of understanding that he was trying to help, they decide to make him this manipulative dude who never cared about Sasuke
Which is the complete opposite of cannon Kakashi. Kakashi himself states he trained sasuke for that month because he saw a bit of himself in Sasuke. Not that he wanted Sasuke to be like him, but he saw a darkness he once harbored as well and he wanted to help Sasuke escape from that darkness.
Then of course, these are the exact same people who call him a ‘bootlicker’ and ‘facist’ because they clearly don’t know the actual meaning of words

Demon Bride Ch52 NOT YOURS!!!
(Warnings!!: Douma and Karaku ARE their own Warnings.. possibly some innuendos. Sakura is in bad shape and Y/n attempts to attack her/has attacked her. Mentioning of blood. Yn clawing, biting, attacking Douma. At one point Douma's hand gets ripped off. Y/n kicking Sakura's ass and breaking Douma's arm to escape, Douma almost ends Sakura,Etc. Yn collapses from exhaustion.)
Tumblr media
You know he was expecting a lot of things when he got back.
Probably a lot more work waiting for him. More demons wanting his opinion on things. Maybe a lord or  high demon asking for another research grant or to help them with whatever economic system they ran. Maybe another lady swooning at his feet to try and gain favor with him. Someone attempting to gain his favor or trick him into something. However what he wasn't expecting when he got back from spending a few days back at his cult, to make sure things back there were still running smoothly in his absence, but what he wasn't expecting was to be walking around humming to himself and then out of nowhere a woman materialized shrieking her head off and running for her life like a bat out of hell.
He had to stop and blink as she ran out towards him catching the attention of many demons alike looking out of windows and doorways and from stairs and platforms watching as she shrieked and ran holding up threads of her once nice kimono torn and slightly bloodied with her blood torn by claws. Her messy pink hair clung to her body as she ran towards him.
"HELP ME!! BY GODS HELP ME!!"
Sakura. My, my. Now what could have happened here? It's been a few weeks since he's last seen her. Did she not listen to his...'warning'? The answer was behind her however when a crashing sound caused his eyes to look behind the woman as another person came bulldozing through a random door and crashing into the hallway. The body flopped like a ragdoll onto the same platform they were on before the bones in their body popped and like a puppet on a string, pulled itself up and staggered a few steps. F/c hair clung to the blood shot eyes and snarling teeth sharpened to find points. The scent of wysteria and orange lilies fluttering about drawing into his senses and making a woozy feeling fall over anyone who breathed it in. Raged red sclera and violent violet eyes contained deepening hatred and the promise of bloodied vengeance for the one who held their wrath. Furious flowers and twisted vines patterned the body's skin like war paint. And he'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little surprised when a voice screeched out amongst Sakura's shriek.
"I'LL FUCKING SEND YOU TO HELL!!"
Well...He couldn't have that now could he?...Hmm. On the other hand-...She DID insult his dear sweet wittle Daki whom was one of his favorite people. Kokushibo would let the two ladies fight out their differences until the two of them got it all out of their systems! That was the right thing to do!
"DOUMA IM GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THIS!!"
"Yes, yes darling. Just let out all of your anger and breath deeply."
"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!"
And in short that's how you were restrained by Douma with one arm. That's it. Literally one arm. One arm was wrapped around your middle lifting you off the ground and your back pressed against his chest as you literally clawed and slashed and bit at Douma whom didn't even flinch at your hissing screaming thrashing at him. He. Didn't. Even. Flinch.  Instead he carried you away from what must've been TONS  of prying eyes as they watched their leader carry away the Kizuki Bride screaming about how she'd murder the shooken u pink haired girl left behind the farther Douma walked away with a smile.
"PUT. ME. DOWN!!"
 You shrieked in animalistic incoherent RAGE at having your prey taken away from you. Anger bubbling up and bubbling up festering from MONTHS of frustration. Finally it was all bubbling up and out as you took every ounce of it out. On Douma. Claw after claw. Bite after bite as your vision went red and any sense of clear thinking left your body. Leaving behind a dangerous animal that was left to be restrained to keep from any further harm to anyone.
"Oh my, my, my. *sigh* This is what I was afraid of. You've gone into a blind rage because you're not used to becoming your full demon form  yet. Oh it was as Enmu warned." He blinked as his hand went flying off past his head and over the side of the platform never to be seen again before the woman hissed in rage as another hand instantly regenerated in its place. "Now that's not nice. You should be at least a little grateful. This hurts me more than it does you. Poor thing." He cooed hugging you closer to him as she snarled like a panther. "I'll take care of you."
"Y/N?!"
DOUMA hummed and only turned to spot two figures rushing towards him and he smiled wider. "Look, Dear. We have guests. Hello, Upper Moon Four! What brings you both to me?" HISS!! "To us?"
Two of those five brothers came running (well one was flying) towards him in a panic and around the same time she cursed and wriggled now given up on attacking him. Wait. Cursing? Oh. So she didn't lose her mind after all. Around the same time the two got close enough to stop and  pant looking like they were almost shocked and panicked at the sight of her. And he just smiled.
"Urogi and Karaku right? I heard all about you from Kokushibo-dono! He told me you'd be staying with us for a long while. Forgive me for not being here to greet you in person but I was busy with important duties. Could one of you perhaps tell me what's transpired between our ladies here?"
From the far side of the hall Sakura flinched when a very loud snarl was sent her way. Both brothers panted looking to catch their breaths, looked at each other, before Urogi scowled and pointed at his brother.
"That was...YOUR c-crazy ex girlfriend.... You t-tell him...what happened... Uhh," the harpy choked between gasps for air and falling to his knees to catch his breath.
Oh? ...Oh! That was right! Sakura dear was courting Karaku wasn't she? Jade mentioned that to him before he broke things off with her. He obviously turned to the green eyed demon whom winced like a kicked puppy under the much more stronger demons gaze... before sighing.
"It was a mistake!" Karaku shouted his hands flying up to grip his long black locks. "She went off to fucking best Sakura to death!!"
"NO. I. WASN'T!!" All three men turned to the woman who still struggled against Douma's single arm. Scowling and thrashing about. "I WENT THERE TO CONFRONT HER ABOUT EVERYTHING AND SHE-" a purple nailed hand pointed at the pink haired demon whom looked a wrecked. "-DECIDED IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO TRY TO PUSH ME OFF A FLOATING FLIGHT OF STAIRS!!"
"Oh?...Ooooh. I see." It all made sense now. "Sakura started it then."
"She started it but I can sure AS HELL FINISH IT!!" She yelled out struggling again..
"So what happened after she tried to push Y/n off the edge? In more ways than one."
Karaku rolled his wrist with a wince. "Well. Yn yelled 'what the fuck' at her, then She challenged and insulted her back, then Yn tackled her and both tumbled off the edge and fell through someone's roof AAAAANNND...." Karaku shrugged with a guilty look. "We kinda lost track of them both for a while."
"Well it certainly seems like it's over. Y/n has won against her twice now. She  knows better now. As temporary leader I declare it as such." Douma then hummed and slowly turned back to Sakura. "Although she's been causing too many problems for her own Good-"
CRACK!!
Something gave as Y/n was FINALLY able to break free from Douma's grasp and stand on her own two feet. A snarl still on her face as her head immediately snapped back to Sakura's form. Panting and snarling with all the rage of a rabbied wolf... Before just as quickly she snapped to Karaku whom jumped when she did-
"DWAH?!"
And suddenly found himself.. thrown...over her shoulder?? Green eyes blinked in confusion and shock as Karaku just sat there with a single arm wrapped around his middle keeping him there. Wha-
"YOU SEE THIS YOU LITTLE WITCH!? DO YOU?! THIS IS MINE!! NOT YOURS!! M I N E!! M! I! N! E! M I N E!! IF I CATCH YOUR DAMNED UNDERHANDED FUCKING LITTLE GOBLIN THUMBS YOU CALL HANDS COMING ANYWHERE NEAR THIS-" Another hand made a circle motion gesturing to Karaku whom blinked over his shoulder. "-AGAIN, I'LL TRACK YOU DOWN,RIP YOUR OWN LEG OFF, AND BEAT YOU TO DEATH WITH IT!! THEN I'LL FIND YOUR GHOST AND BEAT YOU DOUBLE DEAD WITH A HOLY TALISMAN!!!"
Silence rung out as she heaved and snarled before narrowing her eyes, and snapping back to the tall blonde.
"YOU!!" She pointed a claw at Douma to which he just oh so casually smiled at. "You are coming with me and we're going to TALK. N O W!!"
"Of course, Little Lotus! I'd be more than happy to! I heard you wanted to talk to me anyways!" A hand waved at her as he smiled wider. "I'll just be a bit. Let me just...'take care of' a few things first."
The way he spoke sent chills down her spine but she ignored him scoffing with a hiss before giving Sakura one last narrowed eyed glare.
CHIRP?!
Urogi let out a startled chicken squawk as something grabbed him harshly by the arm and a second later Urogi blinked as he was held under another arm, an arm wrapped around his waist just under his wings. Both brothers just .. blinked wide eyed before they began moving away from everyone else...Urogi gave a flustered peacock choke sound his feathers puffing out. Karaku's face just went a deepened red. There was unholy silence for what seemed like forever. Many eyes watched as a coldness swept across the entire area as Douma slowly turned back towards Sakura.
STEP.
The pink haired demon froze. Every other demon backed away from her or ran away altogether. Others cowered from doorways and closed windows. Upper Moon Two was eerily stepping down the pathway. Back towards the defeated girl.
STEP. STEP. STEP. STEP.
Golden eyes widened in knowing horror. "Uh oh..Hey. Uh..Karaku."  Said flustered brother looked at him before Urogi slowly held up a claw. "I think he's about to commit the murder Y/n was originally planning."
Both brothers have a small noise as the body carrying them slowly stopped and stood there for a long moment. Listening to each imposing step Upper Moon Two took towards the downed woman- A snap of a golden fan was heard as a looming shadow fell over the frozen girl's body and a smile that held no happiness was given to her.
"Your poor soul is cloaked in tiredness isn't it? So frail, so weak. You can barely stand up now. However you have no need to fear me." Pink irises shrunk to the size of pins. A coldness unlike any winters she's ever felt zapping the warmth from her skin. The coldness of death grazed over her head. A looming warning of what was to come. "Never fear now, as your soul will be blessed within Eternal Paradise and sleep soundly onwards-" His grip on her. It was starting to hurt. "Do not worry. For it is my place to guide you-"
"Douma....You leave her alone."
"Hm?" The cold was still there. Cold so cold it burnt. His head turned around so unnaturally. "Oh. Darling, I didn't hear you coming back! Have you come back to rechallenge her again? I was just about to see her off on her final destination to para-"
"I know EXACTLY what you were about to do." His smile remained wide on his face. "Leave her alone. She's had enough."
"Hmm." A single blue nailed finger tapped his chin as he faked looking thoughtful. "True. But that's all the more reason she should get to go to paradise! I'm also very sure Kokushibo would want the law upheld, especially for crimes against the Kizuki. Namely... attempted poisoning."
"...What can I do to convince you to spare her?"
Now THAT. Got his interest as he slowly looked from her....And his grin widened in fake joy. "Well I suppose we can let bygones be bygones if I was too busy attending to something else more important than a traitor to the Kizuki. For example if my dear fiance asked me for lunch. Oh that would be SO much more important. But sadly...She didn't ask m-"
"Douma...Will you please..have lunch with me?"
Sakura squealed as she was released from the frozen grasp and Douma popped back up to his full height clasping his hands and smiling 'happily' like he wasn't about to end someone. "Oh darling I'm so glad you asked me! I'll clear up my schedule right now! I can tell you all about my trip! Oh! Uh...But first Things first. Urogi my faithful companion." Said golden eyed harpy blinked as he was addressed. "Could you please bring Sakura dear to Hairou? She was very naughty and should be locked up to think about what she's done. I'm sure Hairou will be happy to watch her until Kokushibo comes back and decides what her punishment should be."
"And medical care." He hummed and purple eyes narrowed. "Get her medical care, Douma."
"Oh yes! That too of course! Urogi, would you please do the honors?"
Said harpy was let lose and gave a final unsure look around at the lot of you... before with a flap of his wings and a shriek from Sakura, she was grabbed by the shoulders and lugged off the ground by Urogi and into the air like how a hawk would carry away a bunny. Which all left you, Karaku still looking over his shoulder at you holding him, Douma looking pleased, and about a hundred other spectators watching you all. After a moment of staring you sighed and turned to the left, only to pause again as a person bowed. Followed by another one and another one as one by one the few demons left bowed down their heads to you and in turn you blinked... before looking up at the much taller blonde whom chuckled.
"Congratulations, Dear Y/n. You've earnt it."
"Earnt...what?"
"Sakura's rank and nobility title of course. When a Kizuki Bride or Groom is challenged for their title then the challenger also placed their own title on the line against them. If Sakura would've won against you...Well then I'd have to refer to HER as my new fiance. However since you bested her, and she was of a noble status..."
Your eyes widened as he trailed off. "No."
"Oh yes. Congratulations Dear. You weren't nobility before but now you've officially been raised to the title of Lady Y/n Tamayo. And with it...the benefits of being accepted fully into our society."
Silence clung onto everything in the Dwell as you walked almost numbly through its halls with a frown. Karaku thrown over your right shoulder still and Douma happily walking on your left. Servants alike stood watching and stopped what they were doing to watch the three of you walk by, instant bows greeted you but this time there was a different feel about it. When they bowed to you before it WASN'T because you were above them, but more out of politeness for being engaged to so many powerful people. Now...it just felt like you were royalty and they saw themselves as beneath you. You didn't like that. You didn't like them having to bow to you. Is this how Akaza felt when he asked Eri to stop bowing to him? You wondered. After a moment you finally stopped. Karaku blinked as he was finally leaned over and slowly placed down onto his feet and stood up to his full height. Blinking as your tired eyes looking back up to him.
"Are you alright?"
"I-..." He nodded. "Yeah. I uh...I don't think I'll be bothered anymore!" He tried smiling like usual and chuckling. "It was also pretty romantic of you to try and rescue me.~ Can't say I've ever had the pleasure of a girl doing something like that for me before.~..Um. but I gotta ask. Why DID you do all that for me if you hate me so much?"
"Is that what you think I think of you?" Your body swayed lightly to the left. "Karaku." Green eyes blinked as you grabbed his hand. "I don't h-hate you. I'm just a little frustrated with your behavior. I've seen h-how much you care about your family, Urogi even told me about how you help take care of his wings." His eyes widened. "You might be annoying a lot of the time, but that's not justification for what Sakura tried to do to you. Forcing love isn't right. If she wasn't going to stop t-then something had to be D-Done."
"I-...I don't...know what to say."
"A thank you would be nice, and promise me to not blame yourself again for her actions. How-However.. You're still not going to court me unless you can prove that you can respect my boundaries in a way I'm satisfied...in..."
Purple eyes rolled up into the back of your head as the world darkened and tilted over, and you fell towards the ground-
"SHIT!!" Karaku was quick to catch the limp woman in his arms and hold her ragdoll body in a dip. Her entire world fading to black. "Oh shit shit shit!! SOMEONE GET A HEALER!!" Someone immediately ran quickly away down the hall away from them. Douma blinked... before a cold hand reached over to press against her jugular. "IS SHE DEAD?! IS SHE GONNA WAKE UP?! OH GODS SEKIDO'S GOING TO KILL ME IF AKAZA DOESN'T GET TO ME FIRST!!" Green eyes flashed with much panic.
"Oh she's perfectly fine." Douma smiled wider and removed his hand from her throat. "I feel a pulse so she's definitely alive. She's probably just exhausted. The poor dear must've exhausted herself pushing her limits against Sakura. She'll be perfectly fine after napping for a few hours." He then blinked and hummed. "Although his does put a damper on our lunch plans.... We'll probably have to push back our plans to tomorrow morning. Oh bother. "
"THAT'S WHAT WORRIES YOU RIGHT NOW?!"
You didn't wake until many hours later. When you did, you slowly found yourself waking up in your soft futon and covered in extra fluffy blankets and an extra soft pillow under your head. On your body was a new kimono as you revealed sitting up and peeling the blankets from your body. Dazed, you sat there for a moment blinking at nothing for a moment.
"Hey you!" You jumped up whirling around to blink at rainbow irises. "So you're finally awake."
....You blinked before in a panic grabbing the blankets and pulling them back over your body. "DOUMA?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!''
"Well, you passed out and after a healer saw you I thought it'd be best if someone watched over you just in case something happened."
"I THOUGHT WE AGREED YOU WOULDN'T ENTER MY ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION!!"
"UNLESS it was a legitimate emergency!," he pointed out smiling, "Someone suddenly passing out after violently fighting someone is an emergency. What if something happened while you were alone? No one would be here to help you. And you did say you wanted to talk to me as soon as I got back. Here I am!"
You just blinked at his stupidly smiling face before scowling and pointing at him. "You intercepted my letter to Sakura!!"
He didn't even try to deny it. "I did!"
"You lied to Karaku and his brothers about me and Sakura!"
"I did!"
"Douma, that's a HUGE violation of trust! Why would you do something like that right after that talk we had About privacy and respecting my boundaries?!"
"Well ..If I'm being completely honest, I was legitimately trying to help while keeping it as peaceful as possible."
You blanked staring at him. "...WHAT?! HOW IS THAT HELPING?!"
"You see Sakura did legitimately think that you knew what her intentions were outside of the incident with my dear Daki, and when you beat her the first time she was too humiliated to try it anything believing you bested her. If anyone found out that you DIDN'T actually fight her for Mr. Karaku's hand-..." He shrugged while explaining still with a smile. "She might've confronted you again but tried something much more underhanded. Your letter and gift would've sent her after you."
"Then what was the point of telling everyone else that?!"
"To make it seem believable and to put Upper Moon Four at ease once more. If Sakura had seen them not knowing about your 'victory' against her it would've raised suspicion. I figured since you've shown disinterest in Karaku specifically courting you that you'll just reject him afterwards and he'll live happily knowing that the entire situation was as far as he knew resolved. Sakura would've been too humiliated to try anything else especially after my warning after poor little Daki was so humiliated." He then sighed again. "You confronting her today only undid my work and resulted in her actually challenging you for real.'' He then smiled again brightly. "But on the bright side you legitimately bested her and so this entire thing has been resolved either way! Isn't that all that matters?"
"I-....RRRRRRR!!!" Your hands grabbed your face and slowly ran down it before looking back at him with a giant inhale. "Douma." He hummed smiling at you. "You can't just go behind my back like that and do something like that! Believe it or not I think it comes off as very distrustful."
Douma's smile vanished as he legitimately looked confused again before tilting his head. "Really? I thought me doing the right thing would make you happy."
"NOT when it's something behind my back like that. Douma, you need to understand that doing something that I don't know about and LYING about it afterwards to other people About it is something BAD. If someone like Jade spoke about and did things behind Daki's back like you said she did, wouldn't it be reasonable that I wouldn't want that for myself?" You tried again using Jade and himself for a comparison he'd understand.
She again looked thoughtful as if thinking... before slowly nodding and smiling again. "Yes! I do believe I see that now! I will be sure to keep that in mind going forward!"
"Good. Going forward anything behind my back and lying AND stealing any of my letters is OFF LIMITS!! I'll only give you a pass this ONCE! Understand?" He nodded. "Good. I also want you to apologize for doing that."
"Alright! I'm sorry!"
"Good. I want you to apologize to Karaku and his entire family too after this!" You pressed pointing.
"I promise I will right after we have dinner together!"
"Good. Wait... What's going to happen to Sakura then?"
"Well...Since the remnants of a highly illegal love potion was found in her home and she had intent to use it on a Kizuki, she's now arrested and put in solitary confinement for treason. Don't worry. Hairou is VERY good at his warden job. She'll remain there until Kokushibo-dono arrives and decides on what her punishment will be."
"And the love potion?!"
"I destroyed it personally. It won't ever be used again. "
You sighed in relief. "Well..Did you send for her to be given medical treatment?'"
His held tilted at you. "You are a strange person. A person attacks you intent on causing you harm possibly even to kill you and take everything you hold, and yet you ask for her life to be spared and for your enemy to be healed."
"DOUMA?!"
He chuckled again at you... but his chuckling was without joy as usual. ''Yes. She'll get it. Hairou won't like it however. You see he enjoys his torment."
''... What's Sakura's family going to think about this?" Your eyes narrowed at him. "You're not going to harm them are you?"
"Oh no. There'd be no point in doing that! Nothing will really change with them other than maybe some rumors and ridicule. Sakura was always a spoiled, lose cannon. Jade however might ask me to release her. Despite their very opposite personalities, the sisters are oddly close. I wouldn't worry about her either. She knows from our last talk that any rebellion from her will make me most...'irritated'."
You shivered at the tone he took but shook it off. "...I guess that's good." You then glanced at his arm, and contemplated something before sighing. "Thank you.'' He hummed in question. "When you restrained me from doing something I might've regretted. Thank you for that. I also want to... apologize for somethings I've done to you."
"Oh?" He looked... interested now.
"You obviously don't... perceive things the same way I or anyone else does. I have to explain myself and we need to talk more clearly in order to understand one another. I should've just talked to you sooner and not just try to trick you or push you into the Dwells most." No matter how much you DIDN'T regret pushing him in the most, twice, or trying to trick him, it'd be better to just...let it all go. You'll be better just going by what you learnt now to navigate around him. "I also apologize for attacking you earlier. I shouldn't have done that either. I won't be doing that again." Unless he gives you a reason to.
He just smiled wider and wider. "All is forgiven! I honestly didn't mind anyways! That was just you getting all that compacted stress out wasn't it?"
"... Actually now that you bring it up, I feel...a lot better now than I have been since I've gotten here months ago."
"You must've taken out all your stress out on Sakura and a bit of myself until there simply wasn't any left in your entire body! Your head should be clearer now!"
"Yes. It is actually..." You then looked at him. "Has Rui arrived home yet?"
"The child has not."
"Good. There's something about his family I need to talk to you about." He hummed again. "Months ago, his biological mother and all his brothers and sisters arrived in your care. I want you to ensure that woman and her children has everything they need for a comfortable life. Education, medical care, whatever they need."
"Oh yes! Akaza had spoken to me about that!" He nodded. "It's all been taken cared of. I even took the liberty of finding a suitable male figure for the children can imprint onto until they're old enough to no longer need a father figure in their lives. You need not worry about them, however I will take your request into account next time I need to check over things back home." His eyes became half lidded. "However I am surprised again. You're concerned about a woman whom abandoned her child and children whom no longer see Rui as family, and you do not seem to not hold any hate against them for it."
"Trauma effects people differently in different ways. I don't like how they treated him but it's not my place to say how she chooses to handle that pain. And I HAVE seen her." You stressed out pointing at him. "I've seen how she interacted with her daughters and her other sons. She loved those children. They don't need punishment, they need help."
His smile widened. "Then it's a good thing Im used to helping people of all kinds."
You didn't get a chance to say anything else before the door opened up and you both looked over. There was two people standing there. A servant girl with a large tray of food, and Rui whom stood there staring at you. Before he frowned deeply.
"Oh come on! How many dates are you going to go on this week?!"

Modern Sasuke X Shippuden Sakura - Part 3
“Okay, I give. What happened between you two?” Sasuke snapped out of his daze hearing Naruto’s voice. He didn’t realise he was staring at Sakura across the dining hall. Instead of sitting next to them as a group -which normally would happen- she sat by herself. Until Ino went over with Hinata to keep her company, giving a suspicious glance at Sasuke. “What?” “You and Sakura-Chan, she’s been avoiding you for a while. Not only that but she’s been acting… weird. Even with us.” That’s to be expected Sasuke thinks to himself. She must be trying to distance herself from them too. He’s not really sure how to answer. On one hand, he could make something up and that they got into an argument to save their skin but what if his Sakura comes back. How was he going to explain everything that happened when she was never there, to begin with. Would she even believe him? What if by distancing herself from them, she ruins their friendship? No, this whole avoidance won’t do. He watches as she gets up from her seat, done with the meal and seemingly so cold.
“I’ll find out.” Sasuke doesn’t wait for Naruto to respond and the poor blonde panics thinking he’ll just make things worse. Everyone else is dumbfounded but they know it’s best to let the two stew for now.
~~~
She hated this, she really did. It wasn’t like Sakura wanted to hurt them, but they were too distracting and she really couldn’t waste so much time here when Naruto needed her more back home. A hand was slammed by the wall, the arm blocking her way with an Uchiha.
“We need to talk.” And then there was this, she hasn’t seen Sasuke in years until their encounter with him at Orochimaru's hideout and now he was right up in her face pissed. “No, we don’t!” Sakura was about to walk around him, but he grabbed hold of her arm keeping her in place. Students around them started whispering, some walked by eyeing them weirdly, and others either stared or pretended not to see not wanting to get caught up in the fight. “I can help you.” He whispered audibly enough for only her to hear, there were far too many students around for his liking. “I don’t need your help, I can’t take care of myself.” She gritted back, did he forget she was a kunoichi. If she wanted to Sakura could easily slip out of his hold and be on her way. But that would mean making herself look suspicious and she’s done enough of that. “You’re making a scene.” “You’re the one causing a scene.” He snapped back. Why couldn’t she just let him explain? “Sasuke.” “Sakura.” Hearing his name without the suffix really annoyed him. He couldn’t figure out why.
“Can I help you two?” They froze at hearing Kakashi’s voice, it was quite surprising hearing the two of them yelling outside the classroom. Usually, he was used to dealing with Naruto and Sasuke’s fights but Sakura? Sasuke’s hand was also still holding her arm tightly which they only seem to notice, and he quickly let her go. “No,” Sakura coughed, collecting herself. “Everything’s fine. Right Sasuke?” “Hmph.” “Right…” Kakashi didn't buy it for one second. They both gave another glare at one another before Sasuke went back to his friends and Sakura went off elsewhere. ‘Teenagers’.  ~~~
Of course, when she walks out Sasuke is there waiting by the school gates, couldn’t he leave her alone? Sakura decided to ignore him and walk past as she was still annoyed by the scene he made earlier that day. It didn’t deter him though as he only followed behind before walking alongside her. “Where are you going?” “Nowhere that concerns you.” “The library?” “…” “I’ll go-” “No!” She stopped in her tracks facing him. “I want to help!” “And I don’t-” “Need it, I know but we can’t keep avoiding each other. I know you want to go back but you're acting strange to everyone else.” “And why should I care?” “What happens if she comes back?” “She?” “My Sakura, when we figure out how to get you back most likely she’ll come back as well. How am I supposed to explain that everyone hates her because of you?”
Was he serious? That's a bit steep for ignoring someone, besides if she could get herself back to the other world soon then all this will be over and done with. “They won’t hate her.” “You don’t know that.” “Why do you care anyway?” It was stupid, to be jealous of them. They were them, well another version anyway. And yet seeing how easy everything was for them whilst her own Sasuke left and probably never even thought about her, about them as a team. It stung. “Because… I do. I want her back, the sooner you can go home the sooner we’ll have our Sakura right? So let me help you.” It almost seemed like a slap in the face, no matter where she was she wasn’t good enough for any Sasuke. He only wanted to help her to have his Sakura. And hers...
“I really hate you.” It was mumbled but he still heard the words, she didn’t even look at him walking past but said he could tag along. Great, now what did he do?
Desert Flower Part 27
A Promise to be Kept,
"Ugh. What happened?"
Yuri groaned as she sat up, rubbing her neck. Her eyes widen when she saw explosions happening all over the stadium and far off within the village. The Hidden Leaf Village was being attacked by Sand and Sound Ninjas. There were several Anbu Black Ops fighting them off. The area where the Third Hokage and Kazekage wore was being blocked off by a barrier. There were several Leaf Shinobi trying to break through it but had no luck. Yuri also saw that Sasuke and Gaara were nowhere to be seen, along with Temari and Kankuro and Shino.
Yuri quickly got up and quickly went upstairs to the upper floor of the stadium. The spectators were asleep as they were caught in a Genjutsu. Ino, Hinata, Kiba, Lee, and Choji were all asleep. Shikamaru was lying on the floor passed out as well. But, Naruto and Sakura were gone as well. Yuri saw her mom and Yukina asleep among the crowd as well. When she was about to run over to them, a kunai suddenly flew in her direction. Yuri threw one back, deflecting her attacker's weapon. A Sound and Sand Ninja stood in front of her.
"I see you managed to stay awake during our Genjutsu." The Sand shinobi smirked.
"Lucky me." Yuri deadpanned. "Get out of my way. I don't have time for both of you."
"You're going to wish you'd stayed asleep." The sound shinobi spoke. Just when the two of them were going lunge at Yuri to attack, a voice shouted.
"Dynamic Entry!" Gai was in the air and landed a kick into the Sound ninja, sending him crashing into the wall. Kakashi poofed in front of Yuri and took out the Sand Ninja with a punch to the stomach and a karate chop to the back of the shinobi's neck.
"Why are the Sand and Sound ninjas attacking!?" Yuri shouted.
"It was all an ambush to get to the Hokage." Yuri heard her father's voice spoke from behind her. Yuri turned and saw him walking over to her.
"Let me guess, Orochimaru's behind the sound ninjas attack and they probably teamed up with the Sand as well?" She pointed out. Gai's eyes widened a little in surprise.
"How did-"
"He attacked us during the second exam. But that's not important right now. Where's Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura?" Yuri asked Kakashi.
"They went after the two Sand ninjas who took Gaara with them." Kakashi told her.
"Where are they now?" Yuri asked. Kakashi pointed to where they had run off.
"Okay, I'll head in that direction and hopefully I'll find them." Yuri took off before either one of them could stop her.
"Let's focus on the fight, right now! I bet I can get more than you, Kakashi!" Gai smiled.
"Yeah. Yeah." Kakashi replied.
"I already got 32." Kisuke smirked. Kakashi and Gai's eye widen shock.
"We can't let him beat us!" Gai shouted.
Yuri hopped through the trees, while being on alert for any shinobi, searching around to find her teammates. Within the distance, Yuri saw Kankuro fighting against Shino.
"Hey, Shino! Where are the others!?" Yuri shouted.
"They went on ahead." Shino spoke.
"Okay, thanks!" Yuri shouted and quickly left, leaving Shino with Kankuro.
"You're not going anywhere!" Kankuro shouted and made his puppet lunge out at Yuri. Shino used his bugs to keep the pupper back.
"You're fighting me or have you forgotten?"
Yuri went ahead a little further until she heard a commotion up ahead. Then Yuri saw Temari trembling as she was hiding behind a tree, sitting on a branch, covering her ears.
"Temari!" Yuri called out and hopped down and walked over to her. "Why did you hit me!?" Temari didn't answer or even noticed Yuri when she inched closer to her.
"Where's Gaara?" Yuri asked her, concerned.
Then Yuri heard Gaara laughing manically a little further away and saw him fighting with Naruto. Gaara had transformed a little as some of his sand, covered half of his body. It formed two elongated arms with claws and a tail. On the right side of his head there was a pointed ear and his teeth had become razor sharp. Sasuke was lying on a tree branch, unable to move. His curse mark had been activated. Sakura was being pinned to a tree with by a large claw like hand, made from Gaara's sand. She was being slowly crushed to death.
"G-Gaara Is-He's out of control!" Temari shook her head. "He's going to kill all of if we don't get out of here!"
"Snap out of it! He's your brother, isn't he!?" Yuri shouted at her. Temari's eyes widened but said nothing.
"Is there any way to snap him out of it!?"
Temari still didn't answer her, still shivering in fear.
"I'm going to try and talk to him." Yuri spoke. Temari's eyes widened, and she tried to stop Yuri, but she had already left. Gaara smacked Naruto away from him as Naruto tried to throw a punch. Yuri landed down a little further away on the branch that Gaara was on. Naruto wiped his mouth, getting up.
"Yuri, run!" He shouted. Gaara slowly turned to her with a wide crazed grin.
"You come to fight me as well!?" He shouted. "I should've killed you the first time I saw you!"
Yuri held her hands up. "Gaara, I know that you're hurting. I can't even imagine what you've gone through." Gaara's eyes widened when he saw her slowly inching closer towards him.
"Stay back." He growled.
Yuri ignored him and continued, walking closer. "I wish that could've been there for you back then, but I couldn't. I'm so sorry. But I'm here for you now." She slowly began to reach out towards Gaara's face. "Please, stop this."
"Get away!" Gaara smacked Yuri away with his arm, hard, knocking the wind out of her chest.
"YURI!" Naruto quickly darted forward, grabbing her before she was slammed into the tree. Then he looked back at Gaara. "Why you!" He growled at Gaara, angrily, gritting his teeth. Naruto set Yuri down before he got up, Yuri quickly grabbed Naruto's arm.
"Naruto, please don't hurt him. He's not thinking clearly. You have to help him, please!" She cried.
Naruto's eyes widen. He had never seen her cry before, ever, since she came to the Leaf Village. Then he turned to Gaara, facing him.
"I plan on it. But not before I beat his ass." He spoke and stood up. Yuri saw Naruto lunging at Gaara before she passed out.
Naruto and Gaara fought each other before Gaara fell asleep and transformed into his full tailed beat form. A large raccoon, Shukaku. Naruto summoned Gamabunta and used Gamabunta to turn into the Nine-Tailed Fox, so he could grab onto Shukaku. Naruto quickly charged at Gaara and tried to land a punch to wake him up. The sand lashed out, grabbing Naruto so he couldn't reach Gaara. Naruto growled as he struggled against the sand, pushing closer toward Gaara.
"I-I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU!" Naruto roared and he slammed his head into Gaara's forehead, waking him up.
"No! I just got out!" Shukaku cried out before he slowly began to crumble away. Gaara and Naruto fell onto the trees and got up, narrowing their eyes at each other. The two of them panted, heavily, completely exhausted.
"One punch is all I've got." Naruto spoke. "And by the looks of it, you're at your limit as well. Let's make it count."
Naruto and Gaara both jumped, throwing their fists back. Naruto slammed his fist into Gaara's cheek, knocking him back. The two fell and crashed to the ground, both a few feet away from each other. Gaara couldn't move. He had completely used up all of his chakra and so did Naruto. Naruto, slowly, inch by inch began to crawl over towards Gaara.
"Why-Why are you protecting them?" Gaara asked.
"Why? Because they're my friends! Even if I have to kill you, I will protect them!" Naruto panted.
"S-Stay away!"
"It's almost unbearable, isn't it? That feeling of loneliness." Naruto spoke, crying a little.
Gaara's eyes widen a little in shock. An enemy of his, who he didn't even know, was crying for him.
"I know that feeling. I've been there. If it wasn't for them, I don't know what would have happened to me. They saved me from that loneliness. Yuri was the first to ever acknowledge me. She always talked about her old village before she moved here. She told me about you, her friend from the Sand Village. She always said something about a promise between you two, that you two made, but never told me what it was."
"S-She talked about me?" Gaara questioned, a little in shock and in disbelief. She didn't forget about him.
"She wouldn't shut up. It kind of got annoying, actually." Naruto spoke. "Maybe, I was just jealous because you got to meet her before me." Naruto panted.
"That's enough, Naruto." Sasuke said and jumped down in front of him. "Sakura's going to be fine."
"Really?" Naruto asked, smiling a little.
"The sand crumbled away. This guy used up all of his chakra." Sasuke spoke.
"That's good to hear." Naruto sighed in relief and passed out. Sasuke turned around and saw Temari and Kankuro jump down, landing in front of Gaara to protect him.
"Temari, Kankuro, stop. It's over." Gaara spoke.
Temari and Kankuro both turned back, looking at Gaara in shock to see him in such a beaten state. They have never seen him like this before.
"Alright." Kankuro said and walked over and picked Gaara up, by putting Gaara's arm over his shoulder, supporting him. The three jumped away and left.
As they, hopped through the forest, heading back to the Sand Village. Gaara remembered what Naruto words that he had told him. Love? Is that what makes him so strong? Protecting those that are precious to you. Perhaps, even I can be like him, someday...
"Temari. Kankuro..." He said, softly, catching his brother and sister's attention. "I'm sorry."
Temari and Kankuro's eyes widen in shock. Temari smiled.
"I-It's alright." Kankuro stammered.
As they continued, Gaara slowly reached into his pocket of his pants and pulled out a red familiar ribbon.
Now, he needed to apologize to someone else.
Oooh, I have an absurd shisui pairing!!
For Maximum Pain: Jiraya/Shisui
Actual Pairing: Shisui/Tenten
Tumblr media
Omg you're evil??? (/JK) 🤣🤣🤣
Jiraiya/Shisui: unless you're asking me to summarize a really fucked up spy/sugar daddy fusion AU, then I'm afraid I'm going to yeet this one into the sun 👋✨
Shisui/TenTen? He's 11 years her senior but, with very little interactions when she's young and if both are full adults now, I can work with this~
Also if I shifted Shisui down to the youngest possible age at the massacre in canon, which is around 15, then we're dealing with only around 7 years difference, that would put them both within a decade of each other...
The most important thing about TenTen is that she knows the meaning of self-ownership.
Lee is an underdog turned tragic hero turned inspiration. His sensei is his role model, devoted to his protege and guiding his every step. He's struggled, with the academy and then the many agonies and uncertainties afterwards, but he pushed through and emerged victorious every time. That's who Lee. Lee is hard work.
Neji is a genius shackled by his own people, his destiny, and his abilities. Choice is a luxury that he's never truly known, every technique that he's perfected has been inherited from his Clan and specifically skewed towards their own plans for him. Even fighting Hinata only showcased the futility of his struggles, that he could rage and scream and no reform would come about, no outsider would intercede. It's Neji against himself, that shadow of a future always two steps ahead of him, and it's Neji who breaks that cycle. That's what defines Neji, his freedom.
TenTen isn't like either of her teammates. She isn't like the rest of the Rookie Nine. There is no legacy for her, nothing to inherit and nothing to go in search of. She is surrounded by Heirs and spares, even Sakura has a Sannin to tutor her through healing and possibly reviving Senju techniques, and they all have a place that they fit into.
Not TenTen.
Of them all, only TenTen goes into ANBU.
Everything she knows, every skill and weapon and strength, has been honed by her and for just herself. She didn't have a teacher who favoured her, she didn't have the traditions of Clan or family to bolster her, she didn't have a mentor to step up and shape her. TenTen moulded herself. The determination, the grit, the genius in its own right, the creativity, the self awareness... TenTen fits nowhere until she finds herself fitting so perfectly into ANBU.
It's not easy. There's no way it could ever be.
Here, your name doesn't matter, your Clan or parents can't throw around their weight. Even kekkei genkai aren't questioned further, even if the presence of a Nara or Aburame is a dead giveaway. It is you and your anonymity and your skills.
The hazing is crucial, not the squaring up of the Chuunin Corps or the jealous ribbing of the Jounin. They can't afford to sow resentment, form grudges or do anything that could weaken cooperation. It is a trial of trust, of mental and physical resilience. There are no termites in her bedroll, no ice bucket showers, no naked dashes between the changing rooms and the dorms, no beat downs and no sneering bullies.
It's so much more efficient.
Trainee Bat - a new identity, TenTen but not, and the transition was awkward but vital - is on the second week of training probation when Rabbit-sensei is joined by another veteran in the arena.
"Taichou," she calls him. His mask appears almost sarcastically jovial.
'Monkey-sensei' is what the trainees are ordered to address him by.
The fight is over so quickly, ended with a brutal efficiency that feels as irresistible as a natural disaster, that Trainee Bat wasn't even sure she'd seen more than a fraction of Monkey's movements.
He comes rarely but the beat down is always the same, no matter that Bat can see how they're all improving rapidly under Rabbit's tutelage.
There's natural ribbing and competitiveness amongst the ranks of trainees. There are seven of them, four of which have been within the programme for several months. Bat is the newest, the youngest - as far as she can tell, since silence is inevitable on personal details - at only twenty-two and easy pickings. It doesn't help that she has quickly caught up.
Bat can live with it. The Orphanage was worse, if only because children were thoughtlessly cruel and had known enough about her to dig in deep where it hurt (to ask about her dead family and her damning lack of surname).
And then Monkey arrived one day, not in the arena but in the barracks. He's alone. There is a situation; 'urgent' he signs, remaining as mute as always. He needs the trainees to run missives for the veteran operatives.
They do so.
Monkey appears, hours later, in the corridor between the dorms and the operatives mess hall. Bat is alone, having lingered at training, and Monkey must have timed it for a reason.
'Mission-procede' he signs.
Bat accepts.
This continues for weeks.
He never speaks. Bat doesn't expect him too; ANBU sign is almost completely seperate from KSL, no doubt intentionally, and fluency has been hammered into them harder than even training with the regulation tantō. ANBU have no names, no faces, and they do not speak unless their vision or both hands are absolutely out of the question. There are even sub-tells that require only the movement of shoulders and chins to communicate basic commands, in case hands are occupied.
But, after the first four... errands... Bat does begin to understand a little more of her superior. He starts sticking around. Bat is ordered to shadow him, once, and bears witness to hows the ranks of ANBU and Daylight Corps immediately defer to his presence. It's fascinating to track his expressions through the set of his spine, the minute tilts of his beaming Mask, the way his fingers flutter through signs. She doesn't know Monkey's identity but she learns what he's like. Not his name or face or past but... Who he is.
Monkey, she learns, is the unofficial leader of ANBU.
No one says this to her. He's never addressed as such - 'Taichou', 'Taichou', not 'Leader', not that he ever verbally responds - and Commander Boar is very clearly the authority in charge of missions, designations, and reporting to the Hokage. But-
There is a respect there, one that Bat has only ever seen between equals. They walk in tandem, discussing topics between them - Boar, aloud, and Monkey somehow responding without notice. They are, dare Bat say it, something of a partnership.
It's in the way the operatives manage to simultaneously straighten and relax at the sight of him, how he knows exactly what everyone else is up to. How he's always around and, if he's not, then it's because he's on a mission and the barracks are still, with bated breath, until he returns. If he has a life outside of ANBU, Bat has found very little evidence of it. Maybe others would think it sad, would think him empty or broken; Bat has seen Hatake Kakashi, has heard enough whispers in ANBU to hint towards ANBU Hound, and she doesn't agree at all.
On the fifth week, three of the seven trainees do not return.
"They failed to meet standards," is all that Rabbit says when Raccoon dares to ask. There are no more questions - at least not posed to her - after that.
And then Raccoon is missing the week after.
On week six, Monkey changes things up.
'External-mission'. Her first true ANBU-rank in the field.
Maybe it was inevitable that it completely went to shit.
The difference between Daylight and Black Ops wasnt just the skill level. It wasn't just the type of mission, honeypot or assassination or torture, etc etc. It was the risk; Jounin had the safety net of a carefully investigated brief but ANBU? The demand was often high enough that patchy intell was the best they had to offer.
The information had been fatally wrong. Half of the team dead, Bat's shoulder dislocated, and Lizard was burned up both arms and had begun sobbing behind his Mask.
Monkey alone seemed untouched by the violence. He'd taken down the bombers faster than the eye could follow, aided only by Bat's quickness to locate and neutralize the 'second wave' explosives that were rigged even further out of the blast zone.
'Trainee Lizard- training- continue.' Monkey signed. 'Trainee Bat- promoted- Rookie.'
"I'll bet you're glad to earn your Rookie stripe," Lizard said, awkward in the emptiness of their dorm. "Rabbit and Monkey are kind of crazy hardcore. I want to get on protective detail, not play those kind of mind games, so I'll be glad to follow soon."
Bat didn't say that she disagreed. That Rabbit was the clearest and most focused tutor that she'd had in her life. That Monkey had been careful and intentional with what he believed them capable of. That Bat felt more seen in the past two months than she ever had before.
Monkey was waiting outside of the dorm, one shoulder propped against the wall and his arms casually crossed over his chest.
"Sensei," Rookie Bat greeted him.
"Taichou," Monkey corrected her. And that was definitely laughter in his voice.
It was the first time Bat had ever heard his voice; younger than she'd expected, considering, and nowhere near as detached as his stoicism might've suggested.
The muteness made a little more sense. Bat didn't think listening to his smiles from Day One would've had the same intimidation factor as ANBU sign had.
Bat would learn that Monkey was a self-made man. That he'd had everything handed to him and all the benefits in the world... But at the price of everything. One day she'd recognise the gleam of a Sharingan behind that beaming Mask, would understand that Monkey's untraceable speed was an unmatched mastery of the basic Shunshin, and realise that he was someone who had been moulded for a purpose, betrayed in his youth, who had raged against the injustice... And then devoted himself to the thankless dark of ANBU. He'd claimed the Black Ops as his own, had integrated himself so much with ANBU that not even the Elders or his Clan could touch him again, and had stepped up to be the vital backbone of the ranks that everyone needed. He knew survival, he knew freedom-
He knew self-ownership.
(It didn't even matter that it took months before TenTen knew his real name. She'd already learned the heart of him before then. And, at any rate, she figured out his identity long before he unearthed hers.)
TLDR: Shisui and TenTen both know how it feels to need to build something for themselves and be the masters of their own future. Shisui has the tools of the Uchiha in reach but it's the Shunshin that he is best known for; TenTen never had anything handed to her or inherited, so she is the embodiment of determination and ingenuity.
I didn't mean to write a drabble, honest, but the ANBU feels came at me. I couldn't even decide on what tense I wanted to write in lmao that's how rough it is 😂
Personalities: TenTen suffers from Kishi Misogyny Syndrome so we don't know much beyond 'long suffering girl' but I image she's got to be smart, savvy, have good self-worth, and independent to boot. Shisui, since my little Ficlet has their relationship based off of ANBU identities and the slow build of comrades and trust, is free from the expectations of being an Uchiha around her. They are just Monkey and Bat, or Shisui and TenTen. They are both highly ambitious, adaptable, willing to work without thanks or praise, and like to prefect 'the basics'.
I think they would have so much fun training together and Shisui could definitely help TenTen with her speed and seals, whilst TenTen would be great for dodging/target practice etc etc. Also i love the idea that TenTen is like "oh you're an Uchiha? Huh" And Shisui is like 'omfg I've found one of the few girls who never had an Uchiha stalker crush???' And also Shisui, in his Daylight life, is like "Oooooh the saviour of the Uchiha clan who stopped a civil war and his cousins are the Uchiha Heir and that angry twink that runs after the Jinchuuriki brat, ooooh Shunshin no Shisui~" and then Shisui whips out this girlfriend who is a badass but no one actually knows who she is? 😅 Meanwhile, the Rookie Nine are like 'TenTen, anything going on in your life?" And she just shrugs because nbd and it's not until so much later that someone catches her, idk, holding hands with Shisui and are like "YOURE FUCKING THE SHUNSHIN NO SHISUI?!" and basically it's just fucking hilarious
Also older TenTen is so gorgeous what the actual fuck, TenTen deserves the most socially adept and gorgeous and loyal and emotionally available Uchiha pretty boy possible 😤✨❤️‍🔥💢 (I'm sorry Itachi but you are an introverted little waif with a lung condition, you need a spa retreat and not more drama)
ANYWAY this is - as per - massively out of hand and so much more than what you signed up for, Empress 🤣 enjoy, regardless~
Weekly Oneshot Challenge - week 9
Title: you will find a way Rating: T (canon-typical violence and blood) Fandom: Naruto Word count: 1277 Summary: When everything goes to hell defending Tazuna, Sakura reaches deeper than she ever has before. [part of the mokuton sakura rewrite]
-
Sakura might have been proud of herself with how quickly she realized that something was wrong… if she hadn’t immediately felt a thick, heavy knot of fear settle in her stomach. She drew a kunai and fell back to where Tazuna was standing before the construction workers had even gotten past their bewilderment at the sudden wall of mist before them. “Get off the bridge,” Sakura managed to croak out past the lump in her throat. The workers nearest to her turned to look, bemused at getting ordered around by the little girl with pink hair. “Go!”
“Get off the bridge.” At Kakashi-sensei’s harsh demand, they began dropping their tools and sprinting away. Sakura looked toward her sensei for- she wasn’t sure what she wanted. Comfort? Assurance? She wasn’t going to get it. Kakashi’s attention was completely taken by the massive sword that he just managed to block with his own crossed kunai.
“Sensei!”
“Stay with Tazuna!” Kakashi-sensei sounded strained, like the effort to hold Zabuza back was so immense he could barely speak. “Remember the mission!”
Zabuza laughed, even as Sakura set her stance defensively. “Don’t worry, little girl. I won’t keep your sensei long.”
It took everything Sakura had to stop staring at Zabuza in fear, but she tore her eyes away to look for her teammates. Kakashi-sensei had Zabuza handled (she hoped). Naruto was nowhere to be seen. Sasuke was-
Sasuke was locked in combat with that strange masked ninja they’d seen earlier, at the first encounter with Zabuza. So they were working together. The masked ninja was incredibly fast, and Sasuke was somehow keeping pace. Sakura noted, even past the sick worried feeling in her stomach, that maybe Sasuke had earned top student spot after all.
Her eyes flicked from fight to fight, trying to keep an eye on the most obvious threats. Tazuna seemed content to stand behind her. Her single little kunai seemed so useless in the face of these enemies. Her hand still stung from her training accident. And her knees felt weak from the weight of the malicious killing intent that seemed to fill the air even worse than the fog.
Kakashi-sensei… Sasuke… somehow, the two of them were evenly matched with someone like the Demon of the Mist and his partner. Sakura even had a little surge of hope when Sasuke sent the masked ninja flying from a vicious kick. But the ninja stood back up, seemingly uncaring about the blood trickling from below their mask, and instead flew through hand signs so fast Sakura couldn’t even see their fingers. And the dome of mirrors that surrounded Sasuke only became more worrying when the masked ninja melted into one and began darting around Sasuke even faster than before.
Sakura was very, very grateful when Naruto showed up.
Even if he did somehow end up trapped inside the mirrors with Sasuke, he was a welcome helping hand. Sakura watched Sasuke try to melt the mirrors- they were made of ice so it wasn’t a bad thought, but of course a kekkei genkai wouldn’t be so beholden to the rules of physics. And what else could such a powerful jutsu be? Sakura wasn’t totally sure it was a kekkei genkai, but it was likely. That kind of power would certainly suit a Demon’s partner. Sakura tried not to pay too much attention to the fight, though Kakashi-sensei and Zabuza even seemed to be watching it fairly intently, only occasionally taking swipes at each other in their own fight.
Naruto took his usual course of bombarding the mirrors with tons of clones. After a moment of that technique, two things happened at once. One, Kakashi-sensei reached up to uncover his sharingan. Two, Zabuza flew through some hand signs and summoned even more fog.
Sakura reflexively drew closer to Tazuna even without Kakashi-sensei’s warning. With such low visibility, a threat could come from anywhere. Sakura really only had enough chakra for two clones (and how exactly did Naruto summon so many? What kind of chakra coils did he have?) so she summoned them both and surrounded Tazuna as best she could by herself. “Don’t worry,” she murmured. “Stay behind me and I’ll protect you.”
It was awful, only being able to hear the battles nearby and not see what was happening. It put Sakura on edge.
That edge, thankfully, saved Tazuna’s life as Zabuza was suddenly there. He swiped down with his almost comically giant sword and Sakura’s kunai-holding arm nearly buckled under the pressure. She could walk up trees and on water, but she still didn’t have as much muscle as a full-grown man. Maybe I don’t need muscle, Sakura thought. She could use chakra to hold herself horizontally. Could she use chakra to hold back a blade? There wasn’t time for doubt. Sakura cycled chakra through the muscles in her arms, her legs- anywhere that would bolster her push back against Zabuza. A clone popped as she used her chakra freely. There was no point in reserving it if she was dead, after all.
“Oh?” Was all she heard from Zabuza before Kakashi-sensei was there to take his attention again.
Sakura was tired, and her legs trembled, and she felt weak from lack of chakra. But she still stood, peeking back at Tazuna to make sure he’d survived the brief onslaught.
Sakura heard a scream, feral and heartwrenching, and the fog cleared to show her a nightmare.
Sasuke, full of senbon on the ground, bloody and motionless. Naruto, tears streaming freely down his face, chakra pouring from him as he turned on the masked ninja. Kakashi-sensei, frozen and staring at Sasuke even as Zabuza swooped in for the kill.
Something snapped inside her. Sakura moved without thinking, without planning. Her remaining clone exploded in a puff of smoke as she fell to her knees and slapped her hands onto the ground. Wood exploded upwards into a wall between Kakashi-sensei and Zabuza, catching the blade of Zabuza’s sword just in time. A second wooden wall- smaller, curved like a half dome- sprung up to defend Naruto and Sasuke’s unmoving form. Sakura trembled, pushing up until she was kneeling in front of Tazuna, her kunai forgotten in the dirt. I did that.
What happened next was hazy to Sakura, pushed to the limits of her chakra and her nerves. Naruto did… something, hitting the masked ninja so hard that they were blasted out of their mirrors and their mask cracked right off their face. Kakashi-sensei pulled out some kind of scroll and lunged at Zabuza with somehow even more terrifying killer intent. Dogs leapt right out of the ground and pinned Zabuza in place- summons, she thought through her daze; sensei has ninja summons. Lightning crackled around sensei’s hand as he charged Zabuza. And then suddenly the unmasked ninja wasn’t next to Naruto. They were impaled on Kakashi-sensei’s arm, just in front of Zabuza himself.
Zabuza thanked his partner- Haku… their name was Haku- but as a tool. Which Naruto exploded at, shouting about Zabuza being Haku’s dream and how trash Zabuza was and… well, Sakura couldn’t follow. She could feel herself trying to pass out from the chakra exhaustion, but she struggled to stay awake and guard Tazuna. She did see Kakashi-sensei carefully lower Haku’s body, closing their eyes one last time. Like a slideshow in a dark room, Gato showed up. Zabuza turned on him after Naruto’s words. Sakura thought maybe she had already passed out and began dreaming as Zabuza laid down next to Haku, tears rolling down his cheeks as he died.
The last thing she remembered was Kakashi-sensei’s hand ruffling her hair before she succumbed to unconsciousness.
Note
Hi again. I already got people saying I'm a fake Sakura stan but I promise I'm not, I'm giving the reasons why the writing for Sakura sucks.
I don't know, it's caused me to dislike her writing because she's not involved when she can. She could be working with Katasuke and Amado but she's not. It's so frustrating to go month by month and absolutely no news, others doing the prosthetic arms, the recovering... but not her.
The the plot being carried by them, it's not from Delta and on, Ino is introduced as leader of the Barrier Team as early as chapter 28 and the anime already had her interrogating (which Sasuke does too) as early as episode 72, right after the re-animation of the Boruto movie. They even got her interrogating Katasuke (which doesn't happen in the manga) which happens in chapter 13. She's been heavily involved since the beginning, after the Team 7 and Kawaki spotlight.
As of useless, the Medical Department is nowhere to be seen, the manga doesn't acknowledge her as the head of that department and when she heals is just Sasuke. Her writing doesn't go beyond that. But it's just exactly the plot, nobody takes novels seriously, nobody reads them, they only watch the anime and read the manga in which Sakura are gone, no involvement. The work Sakura might have done in the past is ignored and never mentioned, the only thing that matters is the manga, the current involvement and all.
No, Pain's arc doesn't work here because Sakura's role was very well executed, she was healing people, but there's nothing about healing multiple villagers or fighting an enemy, so the current Code and Daimon plot doesn't work here.
By Ino having more power than Sakura I don't mean it in battle strength, I mean it in controlling the village. Naruto gave Ino the control of the village's borders, she can change locks and passwords, she works closer to the Hokage and Shikamaru than Sakura, she coordinates the evacuations and alerts the Military Police... next to her, Sakura is nothing, her status as jonin means nothing, her status as head of the Medical Department means nothing, and all that surely means nothing for the plot right now.
Being a Hokage candidate when Ino controls the Barrier Team, interrogates people and coordinates the Military Police is so much more than Sakura's role right now. Ino is second to Shikamaru according to the plot, the writer is making her so important that's why.
Healing isn't necessary right now, there have been battles with Kawaki, Boruto, Naruto, Sasuke and even Shikamaru involved and no healing has ever happened since chapter 44, no healing corps stationed anywhere. They're not necessary. I don't even know why you mentioned the Mental Health Clinic since nobody needs is (not even Kawaki) and it's also inside the hospital so I don't know. The hospital is needed but all you will see Sakura do is heal (probably Sasuke) and nothing more, no plot relevance, no information about the situation, just like a bot in the village.
So yeah, I am a Sakura fan but I'm listing the reasons why the writing her made her very bad in my opinion, how it has made others more important and how haters take advantage of it.
I don't know, it's caused me to dislike her writing because she's not involved when she can. She could be working with Katasuke and Amado but she's not. It's so frustrating to go month by month and absolutely no news, others doing the prosthetic arms, the recovering... but not her.
Exactly, that was a reason for you to dislike her writing, but you said that you've grown to dislike the character herself, which doesn't make any sense, because Sakura herself hasn't actually done anything which caused your opinion of her to lessen.
The the plot being carried by them, it's not from Delta and on, Ino is introduced as leader of the Barrier Team as early as chapter 28 and the anime already had her interrogating (which Sasuke does too) as early as episode 72, right after the re-animation of the Boruto movie. They even got her interrogating Katasuke (which doesn't happen in the manga) which happens in chapter 13. She's been heavily involved since the beginning, after the Team 7 and Kawaki spotlight.
Yeah Ino is introduced as the leader of the Barrier team, so what? Sakura was introduced as being a member of the hierarchy and important enough to be present at the 5 Kage Summit since Gaiden, so I fail to see your point here. Also, Ino most definitely has not been heavily involved since the beginning, that just isn't true, so please stop exaggerating her importance to the plot.
As of useless, the Medical Department is nowhere to be seen, the manga doesn't acknowledge her as the head of that department and when she heals is just Sasuke. Her writing doesn't go beyond that. But it's just exactly the plot, nobody takes novels seriously, nobody reads them
How is the Medical department nowhere to be seen? Seriously, I don't get these claims. The manga doesn't need to explicitly say that Sakura is the head of that department because everyone, everyone knows it to be true. That, and the anime (which more people follow than the manga) has clarified that on numerous occasions:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So again, you have no point here, since you've also made references to the anime. Furthermore, can you please stop saying this nonsense about how Sakura only ever heals Sasuke? Off the top of my head, She was shown to heal Sarada and Hinata:
Tumblr media
And you really don't want me to show you the plethora of people she was shown healing in the anime. So for goodness sake drop it.
they only watch the anime and read the manga in which Sakura are gone, no involvement. The work Sakura might have done in the past is ignored and never mentioned, the only thing that matters is the manga, the current involvement and all.
Sakura hasn't been gone from the anime nor has she had no involvement, so I'd ask again that you stop spouting these untrue statements. The work she's done in the past hasn't been ignored, otherwise she obviously wouldn't have the prestige that she currently possesses. Just because you choose to ignore everything else and only choose to focus on what's currently happening, doesn't mean everyone else does the same.
No, Pain's arc doesn't work here because Sakura's role was very well executed, she was healing people, but there's nothing about healing multiple villagers or fighting an enemy, so the current Code and Daimon plot doesn't work here.
What do you mean the current plot doesn't work here? This is honestly so ridiculous. Do you think that just because Kara has infiltrated the village, it means that people have suddenly stopped being sick? That people have suddenly stopped being injured? That the hospitals are suddenly free of all patients? Do you really think that Sakura is literally doing nothing at this moment, just because she's not being shown on panel? Goodness gracious man.
By Ino having more power than Sakura I don't mean it in battle strength, I mean it in controlling the village. Naruto gave Ino the control of the village's borders, she can change locks and passwords, she works closer to the Hokage and Shikamaru than Sakura, she coordinates the evacuations and alerts the Military Police... next to her, Sakura is nothing, her status as jonin means nothing, her status as head of the Medical Department means nothing, and all that surely means nothing for the plot right now.
I seriously cannot believe you cannot see the sheer ridiculousness of what you just typed. So keeping thousands of people from losing their lives on a weekly basis, is nothing to you?
Yeah I don't want to continue wasting my time on this, and frankly, I can very much see why people have questioned the legitimacy of your claim to be a Sakura fan, when you've constantly dismissed her value and importance to the village, simply because she's not currently involved in dealing with the current threat. The amount of times you repeated "right now" in this ask, is proof enough of that.
Here's something you need to remember since you once again claimed that healing apparently isn't necessary, and used the fact that no one needed healing for the current threat - Just because no one involved in handling the current threat needed to be healed, doesn't mean everyone in the village has suddenly healed from their sicknesses and injuries. Sakura is still there, keeping people alive. Just because those dealing with the cyborgs didn't need healing, doesn't mean healing in general becomes unnecessary. You place all this significance on what is currently happening that your points seriously just lose all reasoning and logic. You even had one final petty dig at Sakura by saying...
all you will see Sakura do is heal (probably Sasuke) and nothing more
And you're wondering why people call bullshit when you say you're a Sakura fan... Okay then. Well, I already explicitly proved how wrong that statement is by showing that Sakura heals far more people than Sasuke, and now I will no longer be entertaining this discussion, because as I said earlier, you've lost credibility with me. Good day.
The Several Attempts To Make You Aware
Attempt 5
A 5 + 1 Kalpas x Reader request, chapter 5 below!
Emile finally convinced Kalpas to explain to you what was going on in his mind and not just spring it on you, and Kalpas finally conveyed to you that he wanted to be the person you relied on.
“Look, I get you’re a stronger fighter than me, but I didn’t just become useless overnight.” Kalpas normally wouldn’t care how others felt, but the scowl you were sending him while you spoke made him feel as bad as you intended.
“I know you can fight,” he spoke in a low tine, though there was no real anger behind it. “I want to fight with you.”
“And I’m saying you don’t need to! I know you’re always looking for a battle, but you can’t just steal all of mine.” People around the canteen were staring at you both. Seeing someone yell at Kalpas was a rare event; no one was brave enough, or stupid enough to do so. Seeing you angry was even rarer, and the stares came out of both curiosity at witnessing the two unlikely phenomena at once as well as concern that they might be a bit too close to a very nasty fight.
“I will fight for you, but that’s not what I’m trying to do!” Kalpas’ voice rose to match your own.
“Then what the hell do you want?!”
“I can’t speak for Kalpas, but I’m fairly certain the entire base wants you both to argue a bit quieter,” Sakura spoke from behind you, and heat rushed to your face when you realized how loud you had been. Before the argument could flare up again, she continued, “You promised Rin you would help her make muffins.”
That had Kalpas closing his mouth rather quickly. He would rather give up a good fight than disappoint Sakura’s sister, and apparently you were no better. When you were invited to join, the spat you’d been having was forgotten and you accepted readily.
When the door to Sakura’s apartment was opened, all of you were greeted by Rin’s bright smile and a big hug. Kalpas was last, and he picked the girl up and carried her into the kitchen. Instead of joining them, you were pulled into Sakura’s living room to give you both a bit of privacy to talk.
“Kalpas is only worried about you—” Sakura raised a hand to stop you when you opened your mouth to complain. “Because he cares for you and would be devastated if something were to happen.”
“Sakura, I hate to say it, but we’re living through the end of the world. Something is going to happen, sooner or later.”
“I understand that, trust me,” your friend sighed. “Kalpas is not the most skilled at explaining himself. What he is trying to say, at least as far as I can tell, is that he will do all he can to protect you and if that’s not enough, he fully intends to die by your side and nowhere else.”
 Her words caused you to grow silent as you thought through them. In a way, it made sense, though you were still extremely confused, and the furrowing of your brows indicated as much. Your moment of contemplation didn’t last very long as a shout from the kitchen drew both yours and Sakura’s attention.
“Oh no! Now they’re all stuck together!” Rin sat on Kalpas’ shoulders, looking over his head to the bag of chocolate chips in his hands. Though now it more resembled a bag-shaped block of chocolate rather than individual pieces that could be stirred into batter.
The two had been making decent progress on the muffins, with Rin directing Kalpas where to go from atop her perch, but her sweet comment a few seconds ago caught him off guard. Telling him that he should give some of the muffins to you, since Rin had seen couples do it in all her movies, made him freeze and his hands grew hot enough to melt the sugar in the bag. Luckily, he hadn’t simply caught fire or hurt the girl on his shoulders, but the fact that you were now staring right at him had him struggling not to boil the chocolate.
Sakura—ever the life saver—stepped in and calmed Rin down, assuring her the muffins weren’t ruined while removing the crumpled bag from Kalpas’ hands. His handprints could still be seen where he’d been gripping tightly while the chocolate all melted, and the perfect mold left behind made you giggle a little. As quick with a knife as she was with a sword, Sakura cut the chocolate out of the bag, and then into chunks that could be used in place of the chips.
Kalpas and Rin took over from there, and within an hour, the muffins were out of the oven and cooling with Rin watching them eagerly as though that would help them set quicker. When Sakura declared them safe to eat, her sister immediately snatched one and was eating it so fast you were worried she might’ve gotten some of the wrapping paper too. Sakura took one next, and when you reached to get one, Kalpas handed you one instead. The second the muffin was in your hand, Rin gasped and you two stopped moving out of fear that something was wrong.
“Are you two getting married!?!?”
“Eat your muffin,” Kalpas remained almost completely unbothered while you and Sakura were trying not to die; you from embarrassment and her from holding in her laughter.
After the conversation you had with Sakura, you seriously considered what she’d told you. So when Kalpas started trailing behind you on the way to the next mission you were overseeing, you didn’t stop him. The problem-causing cadet you had to babysit was on her best behavior, not wanting to give Kalpas a reason to blow up—not that he really needed one. Throughout the entire mission, the only issue was trying to keep the enemies alive lone enough for the new MOTHs to fight them.
Kalpas had you running around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying—and failing—to stop him from killing everything. Your cadet insisted it was fine, even though he was normally just as bad about wanting the highest kill-count. Eight encounters later, you gave up. Kalpas cleared the rest of the area while you and your recruit Whinny followed behind making bets on whether each fight would last one second or two.
When you were all heading back to the ship, you pulled Kalpas aside. He was still breathing heavily, more from his loud laughter than from the fight itself, and a few licks of flame came off him every so often. Most of the buildings in the area were crumbling either form the Honkai, or the man standing in front of you, but you were able to find one that was still in decent shape.
“Look, I get that you enjoy a fight, but the whole reason behind these missions is to get the new agents used to fight, and they can’t do that if you just kill everything in sight.” You felt like you were telling a very large child to keep his hands to himself, and Kalpas was playing is part rather well. Arms crossed, eyes glaring, and a frown you didn’t even need to see to know it was there; he looked like he was having a temper tantrum, and the fire around him wasn’t helping.
“If you want to come on my personal missions, that’s fine, but these smaller ones, I’m not even supposed to help with. You turned a two hour battle into a two minute skirmish.”
“Your MOTHs are pitiful,” Kalpas spat, making you sigh and move your weight to one hip. “There’s no rage, no bloodlust or passion-!”
“Yes, yes, they’re not as good at destroying things as you,” you sighed and rolled your eyes when you saw Kalpas look almost prideful at your accidental compliment. “That’s not the point! They’re never going to be passionate about killing Honkai if you never give them a chance to.”
“They’re not worth your time.” Kalpas leaned towards you, flames appearing more frequently. He just couldn’t understand why you’d follow some inexperienced, uninteresting, weakling agent instead of fighting yourself. Were you seriously leaving him at the base to come do this? Your narrowed gaze told him that his words only succeeded at making you mad, and not at getting his point across.
“I’ll show them how to fight,” he spoke with a grin, and you could hear the underlying threat in his voice. Those agents would be dead before they even had a chance. “Let me save you the trouble.”
“Killing all the recruits isn’t going to help anything!” you hissed, trying not to be so loud the others on the nearby ship could hear. “And you don’t get to tell me how to spend my time! What do you care if I waste it all?” Did you even hear the words coming out of your mouth? Kalpas spent months trying to show you that he wanted to be the one you spent time with!
Unconsciously, his flames grew as he became more and more frustrated with how oblivious you were. Despite his close proximity, neither of you noticed the rising heat. Kalpas was fully ready to go on a rant about how he cared for you.
Until the fire sprinklers went off. Perhaps the building you picked was a little too intact. The fire coming off the man before you was under control, but it still set off the fire alarms and doused the both of you. Under normal circumstances, seeing a fuming, wet Kalpas, complete with steam rising from his head, would have you in stitches laughing. Right now, however, you were soaked through too, and had already been pissed. Alarms downed out any words coming from his mouth, and you weren’t going to stick around to hear what he was trying to say.
The frown on your face was deeper than ever, and even following behind you, Kalpas could tell you were done. All the way back to the ship, you both were silent. If the look you were giving before was bad, the look you gave when you saw Kalpas had completely dried off during your walk was downright murderous. Even he had enough awareness to give you some space.
The flight home was silent, and the first person off the plane was your trainee who looked like she couldn’t decide who was more terrifying: you or Kalpas. You were close behind her, gone before Kalpas could get a single word out, which was probably in everyone’s best interest.
There goes attempt number five.
Definitely not compensating for the last fic. Nope. Also the power button on my laptop is right next to the "end" key and I have hit it way too many times.
Tumblr media
I knew what would happen once I found that person what I was destined, it was known as "桜出血", Sakura Shukketsu, it was a curse which happened to all the people of your clan, since I can remember I remember that almost all they've been through it.
Once they meet the person with whom they share their soul, a strange infection appears in the lungs, specifically a cherry tree begins to grow in this space, and the only cure is... that love is reciprocated. Technically it should always be reciprocated, however, I had known some exceptions to the case and I was very afraid from that day would come, I had seen painful deaths in my family due to this curse and I was afraid that the same would happen to me.
After all, I've never considered myself a special person, I don't stand out for anything in particular, music, arts, literature, sewing, I'm very average in everything and I don't feel it's worth being with me either, I'm just a hermit who hardly knows socializes with his family and a few other people, nothing out of the ordinary.
But my parents wanted that to be different, so after many disputes I was forced to travel to Liyue because of an "errand" that I had to fulfill. I was terrified of the idea of leaving the comfort of my home, the few times I had to do it was because some important clients had different needs that I had to attend personally, but I had never gone so far by myself...
I had to do it for them, for me, so I decided, so I accepted the proposal they were giving me and I traveled to Liyue to live with a friend, I knew her because she had helped us in the past and now she was a friend of my family, she was a A new city full of unknown people and with laws that I did not understand, the contracts were complicated for me at first but after that I had adapted with the help of a friend.
Everything was going well, although soon I received an order for which I would have to leave the pink-haired girl's home for a few days, it was about a wedding dress, a girl who was staying at the Wangshu Inn would soon marry the man of her dreams and she wanted me to make her dress personally. I decided that I would stay there for a while, to make my job easier, so I said goodbye to my friend and went there.
However, the same day that I was moving I had some major delays, I ended up out of town late at night, I was alone, I didn't know how to fight and I was also a bit lost. I thought the situation couldn't get any worse but it did when some miltachurlls appeared out of nowhere to attack me.
I ran as far as I could, hurting myself a lot on the way, I regretted having made that decision and thought I would die right there, however, a turquoise glow appeared and soon my enemies were on the ground just like me.
—Can you get up, human? —a voice spoke to me, somewhat cold and serious, coming from the boy who had saved me—.
—I-
I felt a sharp pain in my chest, as if something had exploded near my heart, I grimaced and put a hand to the area trying to relieve the pain, which clearly did not work and only served to disconcert the golden-eyed boy. —You're hurt?
I denied since I couldn't speak, I felt like I was short of breath and my chest was tight… but the moment I felt his touch my heart eased. That boy had me in his strong arms and a second later we were in a completely different place, I was scared. Who is he?
—This is the Wangshu Inn, I think it's where you wanted to go. Treat your wounds and don't be alone at night again, humans like you are... very fragile.
He turned around ready to leave, finally I was able to say something. —W-wait, M-may I know who you are?
He looked at me sideways before disappearing from my sight. —Xiao.
Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Point that Changes the Momentum
Tumblr media
Summary: Shōyō Hinata loves volleyball! There is no doubt that all he really thinks about is volleyball. His sister, however, isn’t the same way. Sakura is ready to start her first year of high school at Karasuno with her twin brother and doesn’t really want to do anything, unlike Shōyō. Though she can’t help it when she gets dragged into the antics of the volleyball club.
EVERYONE COULD TELL THAT NEITHER KARASUNO NOR Seijoh was going to give up in any way during this last set. They were all fired up since this was the match that would decide just who was going to move on. Any little mistake that was made by the teams could be crucial in their loss.
In the stands, Sakura was thoroughly invested in this game. More invested than she might admit. Sure, she was paying attention to the game for her brother’s sake. However, now things were getting far too interesting for her to look away even for a moment. Her brown eyes were bouncing back and forth while watching them. Before she was focused on Shōyō, but now she was pinpointing where the ball was going at all times.
Shimada sighed, “This rally is going on forever.”
“Overall, Seijoh’s better at everything, but…” Takinoue said as they watched Nishinoya save the ball, “…their libero has far better defensive skills.”
Each of these team’s tenacity to win just this rally was tiring to watch. Sakura was nowhere near playing and she even felt fatigued by all of this. Though she was getting plenty of perfect photos of this match. The intensity in the eyes of the boys was portrayed perfectly as well as the desperation every time they fought for each and every point.
While each team fought valiantly during this one rally, thanks to Seijoh’s libero setting for Oikawa, they were able to get a point. The score was then made to be 8-10 with Karasuno behind.
Sakura’s eyes widened at the play, “their libero was a setter?” A play like that is quite impressive, and not really seen in high school games. Those types of plays are usually saved for the big leagues. Just goes to show how advanced Seijoh is as a team.
The next rally was played with Oikawa serving it once again. It was received by Daichi who sent it to Kageyama to set it to Asahi. Though even if the ace did his best to spike it over, it was saved. The ball was heading back over the net after Hanimaki saved it, though before the ball could get over the net, Oikawa was there to save it and set it to Iwazumi. Aoba Johsai was about to get another point that way. So a timeout was called by Karasuno to slow the game down a bit.
The crows all grouped together, eager to hear what their coach had to say about the game. “All right! You’re all fighting well!” Ukai exclaimed, “Keep cool!”
All the boys nodded their heads, “Right!”
“It looks like they’re getting used to attacks that cut into the middle, so use the sides of the court as much as you can!”
“Right!”
Endo glanced over at Seijoh as they were in their own huddle. Oikawa was talking to his team, no doubt giving them his own encouraging words while bragging in some way. If there was one thing that Endo admired Oiakwa about, it was his way with words. Endo knew that sometimes Oikawa could make the most vile words sound like honey to anyone. He just hoped that today would be the day he could see that smirk wiped off his face because of his team.
“Let’s go!” Ukai broke him out of his thoughts.
All the boys nodded, “Right!”
So they dispersed and headed to their spots again. Endo waltzed back over to his spot to the sideline with the rest of the bench-warmers, clapping as his friends jogged back onto the court. To be honest, Endo wasn’t sure whether or not he actually liked being on the sideline. He is athletic, but he’s also not the type of person to constantly want to be playing sports or partaking in a physical activity. He’s not lazy… he just doesn’t like to sweat all that much. After all, sweating just messes up his hair. So he’s glad to see that he still had a front row seat to Oikawa’s possible downfall today on the court. Oh, it was quite delightful. Sure, it would be quite fulfilling to see Oiakwa knocked down a peg, though Endo would be quite proud to say that his friends and teammates were the ones to do it!
The match continued with the usual push and pull between the two teams. The score became 13-10 with Seijoh in the lead. Though thanks to Tsukishima and his feint, the crows got another point, hopefully bringing them closer to the lead and win for this match. On the sidelines, Shōyō was obviously stuck in his own head, hyper focused on getting put back on the court. That was obvious from the intense expression on his face as he kept his brown eyes pointed at the game.
“Hinata.” Suga said as he broke Shōyō out of his thoughts.
The younger boy jumped slightly before turning to his upperclassman. “Yes?”
“Do you remember what Ukai-san said?” He asked.
Shōyō tilted his head, “About attacking both sides of the court as much as possible?”
“Right. That’s the best attack.” Suga stressed, “We haven’t used that much this time around.” It took a second, but Shōyō realized what he was saying.
Endo patted Shōyō on the back, “you’ve got this small fry. You and Kageyama are some of the most annoying tools we’ve got for this team.” The group of boys just chuckled at Endo’s words, knowing that he was pretty much right. The troublesome duo was going to be difficult for Seijoh to really slow them down, at least at first.
Even from so far away, Sakura could see the look in her brother’s eyes. She snapped a photo of the boys laughing together. A perfect time capsule of this happy moment between friends. Something that Sakura obviously loves capturing! Especially if it was a happy moment for her brother’s. She loves seeing those moments. It would make it even better if Karasuno won this game, she just knows that there would be plenty of happy moments to capture if that happened. Still a pretty big ‘if’ from her perspective though.
Shōyō was switched back onto the court, to the cheers of his friends and others. Nishinoya made sure to give him a hard high five as they past, which Shōyō returned just as hard.
They all lined up on the court, with Karasuno serving the ball. Thanks to a well placed block by Kageyama, it gave the crows a chance ball. From his spot on the court, Oikawa could already see that the little ginger was going to jump for a broad cross.
Everyone watched as the little number 10 used his near supersonic speed to rush across the court. Of course, Kageyama’s pin-point toss set the ball perfectly into Shōyō’s awaiting palm. They were able to get a point thanks to Shōyō’s broad cross, since Seijoh wasn’t prepared for that at all.
“Nice shot, Hinata!” Everyone cheered and jumped on the sidelines. Now the score was 14-13. Seijoh was still in the lead, but now with Shōyō fired up, who knows what will happen now.
Things were going to start swaying from here, no doubt. With Shōyō being extremely motivated now, Karasuno wasn’t going to go down with out a fight. Not only that, but his fire was infectious. The rest of the crows on the court were going to end up being just as enthusiastic about this game as he was. That was evident from how even if they were starting to become visibly tired, none were willing to slow down.
“That ball’s not coming down.” One of the girls besides Sakura said, “So amazing.”
Another girl gasped, “That little guy’s amazing.”
Sakura couldn’t help herself but smirk a bit. Yea, it was a bit satisfying to hear other people be impressed by her brother. Sue her for being proud of him!
“Volleyball, more than anything,” Shimada started drawing all of their attention, “is a sport where you keep jumping continuously, so I believe it’s also a battle with gravity. Jumping as a decoy, jumping to block, and jumping to spike. As the rally keeps going, fatigue sets in and your mental faculties decline. To be honest, you want to skip the blocking, and I’ve had times where I hoped someone else would spike it.”
Sakura took a deep breath, knowing what he was saying. They’re tired, which of course they would be after so long. Though she knows her brother. He wouldn’t let something like fatigue get in his way. He’ll keep going. Keep pushing. Until he’s down. Until he no longer can jump. He will do everything in his power to be the best. Do everything he can to stay on the court for as long as possible. Even then if he gets tired, he’ll do what he can to push through it. Shōyō would never give up. Even in the face of an impossible opponent while running on fumes, he wouldn’t find an excuse to stop. Perhaps it was a talent in itself to have that sort of tenacity. Though whatever it was, Sakura found it more than impressive.
Takinoue nodded his head in agreement, “When long rallies continue and I get deprived of oxygen, I think, ‘Hurry up and drop, ball… Preferably on the other side.’”
“Shōyō won’t stop.” Sakura said, earning all of their attention, “He’ll never stop. He’s a bit annoying like that.” Was it annoying? Or perhaps admirable? His determination could not be rivaled in her eyes. He’s just so... amazing! More often than not, when he sets his mind to something, there’s very little that will stop him from achieving it.
Back on the court, Kageyama appeared to start setting the ball to Shōyō, but there was a perfect opening for their ace! So like any good decoy, Shōyō did his best to get all of their focus onto him, even though he has done it time and time again during this game.
It seemed like Seijoh fell for it as Asahi only had one blocker in his way. That blocker was Oikawa, who didn’t seem all that happy when Asahi’s spike went right through him. Yea, Endo was more than smug about that happening from his spot on the sidelines.
“Pipe concentration!” The two alumni cheered.
Sakura clapped lightly, slowly but surely starting to grow excited about the outcome of this game. After all, they had caught up! They didn’t have the lead just yet, but there was still time. There’s no telling what will happen now.
Eventually, a timeout was called now that the teams were tied up. All of the boys came off the court to grab a towel and a water bottle. They were all tired, that’s for sure. Though their determination was palpabile to everyone in the gym.
As Endo finished handing off a water bottle to Asahi and joking with Nishinoya, he walked off to the side and noticed something. Yamaguchi was staring at the group of their teammates who were trying to cool down a little bit before going back on the court. There was a look in his eyes that Endo somewhat recognized. He appeared to be… envious of them. “You alright there, Yama?” He asked while walking up to the olive-haired boy.
Yamaguchi jumped slightly before turning to his upperclassmen with a tilt of his head. “Huh! Yea, I’m fine.”
“You seemed a little lost in thought there.” Endo smirked cheekily, “Or are you admiring our teammates, they all do look kind of attractive all out of breath like that, no?”
Yamaguchi became so red, that he honestly looked like a strawberry for a moment. “Eh!?”
Endo laughed loudly at the flustered state he just brought upon his underclassman, “I’m only kidding…”
It took a while for Yamaguchi to collect his bearings and calm himself down. Though once he did, he blinked up at his teammate, his brown eyes lit with curiosity. “Say, Endo-senpai.”
The blond glanced at him with a raised eyebrow, “Hm, yes?”
“You seem ok with not being able to play.”
Endo blinked and chuckled, “Well, I think I do a lot better on the sidelines as a cheerleader than an actual player.”
Yamaguchi eyed him, “Do you want to play?” Endo paused only for a moment, considering the question. Why did even Yamaguchi care about it? Perhaps because they were both benchwarmers for the game and most other games. So perhaps Yamaguchi was curious about why a senior wasn’t on the court at all. Sugawara wasn’t on the court that much, but even then the setter seemed impatient to be put on the court. So why wasn’t Endo? The younger boy jumped, now realizing that he may have overstepped his bounds. “S-Sorry, that was a sudden question.”
Endo chuckled at the ball of nerves that the younger boy became and answered, “For fun, I suppose. I don’t really like being competitive.” That’s more than true. Endo didn’t really care for the tournament itself, just to have fun with his friends.
“...I-I would have thought you would want to be the best there is at everything,” Yamaguchi blinked, since he knows that Endo likes to boast about everything. His senpai is quite smug and cocky, any moment he got to put himself above another, no matter who it is, Yamaguchi knows Endo would do it.
Internally, Endo was having a little bit of a conflict, like usual. Was he going to tell him that he certainly does, but doesn’t feel like he can prove it? That Endo has felt inadequate when compared to his other friends who were thoroughly passionate about the sport? Was he gonna tell his underclassmen, who Endo doesn’t really know all too well, about how he’s struggling with finding his passion for this game or anything in general? No, he wouldn’t do that.
So he just smugly smiled nodding his head, “I am the best at everything. So there’s no reason for me to constantly be on the court!” He exclaimed, “Why play when I’ve already proven I’m extremely good? I let the others get a chance at attention.” It may have been a mildly good vaile to hide behind, and he’s used to hiding behind his smugness in the past, though it wasn’t as strong as usual. So yes, Yamaguchi might have shook his head lightly at the loud boasting of his senpai and focused back on the game, but he didn’t think that it wasn’t extremely truthful. Though who was Yamaguchi to say whether Endo was being honest or not? He doesn’t know Endo all that well, so he doesn’t truly understand how his senpai really thinks.
---
Thanks to Tanaka, the score had been brought back to another tie of 16 points each. It was constantly going back and forth between them no matter what each side tried. Shōyō came running up towards the net and it was quite obvious what was going to happen. “Is he going to do another broad…” Takinoue asked before they all noticed that none of the blockers were moving to block him. “Or wait… Huh? No mark? Did they give up on the block?”
Sakura squinted her eyes as she realized that without the blockers in the way, Seijoh’s libero had a perfect view of Shōyō’s spike. Sure, it was completely open for Shōyō to spike the ball, but there was an obvious counterattack that Seijoh had in mind. It wasn’t too much of a surprise to see that with that clear view, Watari was able to save the ball. With his receive, he lined it up to Oiakwa who faked them all out with a setter dump right over Shōyō.
Everyone was surprised by that, the alumni shouted, “Now a dump?!” That wasn’t good, at all. If this continues on, Aoba Johsai may be able to pull far enough ahead in points and leave Karasuno in the dust!
After that, Oikawa was then next up to serve. While he put the same amount of power into it as he normally does, the arch of the ball wasn’t high enough and ended up just hitting the net. Though it was just enough for it to tip over onto Karasuno’s side, and no one was able to save it. Now they were two points behind again. Oikawa served once more and it was perfect, which let Nishinoya receive it nicely. Though there was some confusion as Kageyama and Asahi both ran over to receive that ball. It would have ended up in a point for Seijoh if they hadn’t been quick enough. Kageyama bumped it to Asahi who took the last hit to send it over the net.
Takinoue grabbed his head in anxiety, “That was close!”
“Calm down! Don’t lose your cool!” Shimada exclaimed in worry.
Sakura bit the inside of her cheek, more than worried about all of this. They better not lose their common sense after all of this work. It would be quite unfortunate for them to lose this set thanks to a few stupid mistakes. That would be the most anti-climatic thing ever, in her opinion. Also quite sad. After all the work they’ve put in, to be out done because of a few mistakes. That wouldn’t be the best feeling.
“This isn’t ending any time soon…” The Oikawa’s black-haired fan girl gasped at the long rally so far.
“When you make it through a long rally, you can shift the game’s momentum. With this rally, getting that one point will be crucial.” Shimada commented, speaking from experience.
After a one touch by Karasuno’s number 10, Asahi dove for a nice save of the ball. Shōyō had tried to spike the ball with a set made by Nishinoya, but it didn’t work. Aoba Johsai was there with a three man block to stop him. Now, the score was 19-16. Slowly but surely, that small gap that Karasuno had used to catch up was closing. It wasn’t that much of a surprise when Ukai called for a time out. There needs to be some semblance of effort made to slow Seijoh down. If it wasn’t through Karasuno making points, then slowing them down through timeouts should work.
“Damn.” Takinoue grunted, “They’ve used up their two timeouts.”
“It can’t be helped. They’ve got to physically break that momentum with a timeout, or Seijoh’s going to take control.” Who knows where Karasuno could go from here. They needed some sort of miracle to get them out of this slump. Though as he gathered the team together and thought things over, Ukai glanced up to the stands where the alumni and Sakura were standing, to their confusion. He appeared to have an epiphany right at that moment.
Sakura’s eyebrows furrowed, “why does the old man have that weird look on his face?” The two older guys just shrugged their shoulders, just as confused as her.
The teams went back on after the timeout, the last time out that Karasuno could call for this set. Though as they played, the referee blew his whistle. Shimada gave a large sigh of relief, “Seijoh touched net. Thank goodness!”
“But…” Takinoue started to sweat.
“If they miss here, Seijoh will have the advantage at 20 points. If they take the momentum, we won’t be able to catch up.”
The teenager girl blinked as she watched her brother step up to the back of the court. “It’ll be Shōyō’s serve too…” Sakura has faith in her brother, most of the time. When it comes to his serves… She has little to no faith.
Though there was a little commotion as it seemed like Karasuno was going to sub a pinch server in. “Hey, Shimada, look at that.” Takinoue said as he pointed to who Ukai was subbing into the game. It was the team's pinch server, Yamaguchi Tadash. The poor boy was shaking like a leaf, appearing to be extremely anxious. He walked onto the court like a baby deer learning how to walk for the first time.
“T-Tadashi’s the pinch server?!” Shimada shakily exclaimed. He grabbed his head, almost ripping out his hair while hiding behind the railing, “What is Keishin thinking?! He’s an idiot! I told him that it’s still mostly pure luck!”
“I think he wants even that pure luck.” Takinoue said, “You don’t know what’s going to change the momentum.”
‘Tadashi…’ Sakura thought. Quite a few different emotions ran through her chest in that moment. Worry, excitement, pride were just a few. She’s more than happy to see him play in the game. Since he didn’t think that he was going to play in this game, she’s excited that he got the chance. She’s even proud to see that Ukai trusted him enough to try to change the momentum of the game. Though this was his first game, with it being an extremely stressful moment. This is bound to be the most nerve wracking  moment for him.
On the sidelines, the rest of the team were staring at the more than nervous Yamaguchi. Endo was certain that he was going to be sick at some point. That’s definitely something that he didn’t wanna see. Because if Yamaguchi was sick, then Endo was going to be sick, and it just wouldn’t be pretty at all.
“Is that all right?” Ennoshita asked, “He already has enough reason to be nervous, but won’t there be more pressure from playing with his seniors?”
Suga nodded his head,“Oh, right.” He then quickly gathered the benchwarmers together and lined them all up. “Hey, Yamaguchi!”
The frightened boy jumped before glancing over at the group to see them all staring at him with large smiles. Lined up like a kick line, they all pointed at him and shouted, “Hit a nice serve!” Who knows if that helped calm Yamaguchi down at all. Perhaps the absurdity of it had lightened his mood at least a little. That’s all they could hope for.
“Dang… He’s so stiff.” Even Takinoue could see just how tense the pinch server was from up there.
“Wouldn’t you be?” Sakura asked, “first ever game he’s been put in, and it’s a pivotal point in the game. His actions here alone could determine how this game goes.” She almost felt defensive of Yamaguchi. He’s her friend, so she guessed the protectiveness over him was normal. Like she said, he hasn’t been in an official game on this team just yet. Not only that but to be put in the game to hopefully change the momentum left a heavy burden on his shoulders. Sakura knows he can be quite the anxious guy, so she has no idea how he’s handling this moment.
“It can’t be helped.” Shimada said, “Relying on your team is most of volleyball. Serving is the only time you’re alone. Everyone will be looking at you, and you’ve got all the pressure. But when you’re standing in the serve position, you’re the center of attention, no matter who you are.”
Yamaguchi seemed to prepare himself while on the line. This is his big moment after all. What happens if he does make this? He’ll be quite the hero to the team if that were to happen. They were in a moment of need and he might just be the piece to pull them towards their win. So he readied himself. He jumped up to serve. A near perfect jump float serve, just like Shimada had taught him. Everyone held their breath, waiting to see just how good of a pinch server Yamaguchi is. However, the ball didn’t even make it to the other side. It was just a bit too short, and just ended up falling back onto Karasuno’s side. So that was that. The score was now 20-17, Seijoh obviously still in the lead. So they broke to 20 points first, that wasn’t a good sign, but still not the end.
Sakura let out a soft, sad sigh while watching the destroyed expression on her friend's face. “Oh, Tadashi.” She watched as he headed off the court with his head hung low. No doubt spewing apologies to his teammates for his mistake.
One of the fan girls blinked, “Eh? So he got brought out here because of a punch, but if he fails, he’ll be pulled out?”
The other girl sighed sympathetically for the poor boy, “That’s sort of sad.”
Shimada shook his head while he explained, “That’s the job of a pinch server. That one shot has both the game’s momentum and their pride riding on it. And Tadashi messed up. But this chance to feel this regret and his own helplessness will definitely make him stronger.”
Sakura nodded her head, silently agreeing. She may not have been friends with him for all that long, but even she knew how he would be feeling about this. Sakura could only hope that he looked past it for the time being. It was one mistake, he could make up for it another time.
On the sidelines, Endo greeted Yamaguchi back over to them with a pat on the shoulder. “You did great out there!”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t get the point we needed.”
“Don’t worry about it! You did the best you could. Plus I bet you were super nervous out there. I mean first high school game and you have to get us a point that might make or break us in this set. That’s super stressful. I’m surprised you’re holding yourself together so well!”
Ennoshita quickly stepped in between the two, separating the now sickly looking Yamaguchi from their senpai. The second-year pinpointed Endo with a small glare, “If you keep talking, he won’t be.”
Endo blinked, now realizing that he wasn’t really helping Yamaguchi calm down all that much. He sheepishly scratched the back of his head, “Oh.”
Putting Yamaguchi’s little mess up aside, the atmosphere had changed around Karasuno’s side. Obviously, this has happened a few times during this game. Though Aoba Johsai knows to watch out when this happens. Each time Karasuno
“Did the black team cheer up of a sudden?” A fan girl asked.
“It’s just like Tattsun says…” Shimada said with a smirk, “You don’t know what’s going to change the momentum.” Even if Yamaguchi didn’t get the point, his actions still appeared to change the momentum. They were fired up now more than ever. Their teammates effort had fueled them to some capacity to push themselves harder. They most likely wanted to redeem Yamaguchi, to not make his effort in vain, even if it wasn’t successful.
So it was another push and pull between the teams taking and getting points. Even a quick move by Takana kicking the ball over the net to save it had given Karasuno a point. So when Kageyama stepped up to serve, it was 23-22!
It was intense to watch all of this happen. None of them wanted to lose so they were giving their all. Though Karasuno may have put up a fight, but Aoba Johsai was now at match point. This might just be the end of Karasuno journey. Sakura seemed to be more than resigned to
Tanaka was then up to serve, which he did pretty easily.
“Crap! It’s going past the net!” Shimada exclaimed as they all leaned over the railing, “They’re going to hit it head on!”
Oikawa was right there to get the ball, more than likely going to smack the ball straight down for the winning point. However, Kageayama was there too! He saved the ball from going over the net and into Oikawa’s hands just by a centimeter. Once he did, Shōyō was there to spike the ball over the net. Now Karasuno had another point. Taking away that match point from them was more than satisfying. It also meant that Karasuno was more than capable of catching up to Seijoh. Even if the Great King thought that he could keep them from reaching him at all, but things were certainly changing now.
Sakura Haruno & A Succubus
Tumblr media
You, Sakura Haruno, are connected to a succubus Your partner selected the 18+ server. Your partner has a starter. Type /starter or tap here to see it.
Sakura Haruno: /starter
a succubus: https://img3.gelbooru.com//images/04/d2/04d2ac4de07630e6599b4677cf673e15.jpg "Heyyyy~" The voice was coming from nowhere it seemed, but it sounded so sweet to your ears! "I'm lonely... and you seem just right to keep me company..." Whoever it was giggled sweetly, your heart beating faster already. "Aww, and it looks like you really want to. Why don't we talk a little. I promise to make it worth your while!" It was just a little chat! Nothing to worry about, right?
Sakura Haruno: "Ummm..." Sakura turned around, already regretting being the last to leave the hot spring outside the hotel. An enemy? She's not picking up malicious intent...but why couldn't she sense this presence before? That's clearly not one of the hotel's attendants...and did she just say she's lonely? What the heck is she trying to pull with her? "If it's just talking, I won't mind. I gotta leave soon though..."
a succubus: "Oh, you do...?" The voice sounded... almost disappointed. "I don't know, I wouldn't want to keep you here too long then." The voice seemed to move around, growing closer, drifting around her. And strangely, as it got closer, a sweet scent followed. Something warm, inviting, relaxing... it just made her feel a little fuzzy all over!
Sakura Haruno: The scent...this was clearly some type of jutsu. Not genjutsu but something much more insidious...after all, a girl's scent has never made Sakura feel so...hot before. Whoever this is, she smelt better than Sasuke! Standing up, an on-guard Sakura searched around for the intruder. "Who are you?! What do you want?!"
a succubus: "W-what? Why do you look ready to fight already!" The voice seemed taken aback, and of course, she was. She was used to slightly easier targets! "Ugh, fine, if you can't even trust a pretty voice, who can you trust..." With a dramatic sigh, the voice floated away, settling near a rock above the hot spring before materializing, from foot to horns. She sat, one leg crossed over the other, tail flowing behind her, the one-piece outfit showing off her legs and arms... and waved. "And I told you, I want some company... really!"
Sakura Haruno: "...Eh?" This was surprising: it was a girl, definitely...but the horns, the tail, the, uh...outfit indicated that she wasn't human. And she seemed to be genuinely friendly, if a bit dim for trying to be coy with a chunin when they were alone. Either way, Sakura let her guard drop a little but kept her frown. "Why do you want my company in particular? Who are you?"
a succubus: "Well, because you also looked a little lonely out here. Really, when I see someone pining so hard over someone, its hard not to think they're a bit lonesome." She set her hands on the rock behind her and leaned back, switching her legs around as she did. "I'm Lani. As you can probably tell... I'm a succubus. You know, most beautiful creatures you've ever seen, tempting mortals, feeding on lust, that sort of thing?" She was either dim or... no she had to be dim, she was just explaining everything out in the open, right?
Sakura Haruno: "Succubus...agh!" Sakura covered her wet breasts as she absorbed the woman's identity. "Why are you targeting me?! I've got nothing to give you! I'm not into girls like that...and even if I was, I could do way better than a succubus!"
a succubus: "Uh, no, you really couldn't." She looked a little perturbed at the idea anyone would be better than her! "And relax, it's not like I didn't already see everything!" Not... really the sort of reason to relax. Lani didn't seem to care about that though. "And those other two... honestly, if they weren't so absorbed in their world, I probably would have invited one of them instead..." She shrugged, then leapt from her perch, landing with grace and ease several feet from Sakura. "You've really got it bad for that blue one though, huh? Maybe I can help with that!"
Sakura Haruno: Sakura pouted in embarrassment, letting her arms fall from her chest. Intentions aside, she is another girl. It's not like she has anything she hasn't seen...still though, she refused to relax around someone who explicitly feeds on her "essence". "So what if I do? What can you help with?"
a succubus: "Oh, honey, I'm a creature of pure temptation and magic, do you think I don't have a few fun tricks? Don't think I didn't notice that little shiver when you smelled me passing by~." She brought a hand up her mouth to laugh softly, then started walking around her, keeping a safe distance, until she was back in front of her. "It's not like you don't have the looks for it. Honestly, you're pretty hot yourself. You just need a nice kick to break him out of his own head and really make him see you!"
Sakura Haruno: Could she really learn a good seduction technique from this woman? It's not out of the question...female ninja are expected to be well-versed in seduction techniques by the time they make Jonin (which is a whole other bag of worms in itself) but should she accept help from a literal devil? Sasuke is already gone in all but spirit...after everything that happened, she doubts that he'll ever see her as more than an ally. As much as she hated to admit it, she was getting desperate. "...Alright." Sakura gulped. "If you have any advice or moves you can teach me, I'll be grateful to learn them."
a succubus: "Oh the things I could teach you..." She was letting her guard down again, just a little, just enough. She walked just a little closer, waiting for the girl to catch her eyes, if only for a moment. She had to assume she was used to the basics of this sort of trick, but the soft pink glow was always so inviting, and all it took was one little glance... "...and before you know it, you'll have him wrapped around your pretty little finger."
Sakura Haruno: Sakura knew she was just telling her what she wanted to hear...and she fell for it completely, locking eyes with the demonic beauty as she let the pink glow penetrate her. "Do you...really mean that?"
a succubus: Her honey-sweet words now sounded like beautiful truths, reinforced by echoing voices reminding her of all the little things the succubus had. "Of course, honey, I know exactly how to do it, too!" She knows whats best, she's so pretty. Lani walked right up to her, keeping their eyes locked as she slid her hands onto Sakura's hips, one leg pressing gently between hers, parting her thighs. "You just listen to everything I say... and you'll know just what to do when I'm through with you." She was about the same height as the girl, so with a squeeze of those hips, she leaned in and brushed her lips over Sakura's, causing a tingling heat of pleasure right where they touched.
Sakura Haruno: She's touching me... Sakura meant it when she said she had zero interest in other girls earlier...and this was the most aroused she had been in her life. When she held her, she felt like she was melting. When she put her leg against her, her tingling turned into a full vibration. When her lips brushed against hers...Sakura couldn't stop herself. She pushed her lips back against hers, kissing Lani as deeply as she could while wrapping her arms around her.
a succubus: Lani took full advantage of the push of those lips, slowly guiding Sakura backwards until they hit a wall, and then sliding her tongue out, pressing against her lips, demanding entrances as her fingers played along her sides. She pushed her knee up between her legs, grinding ever so gently.
Sakura Haruno: Sakura's moan granted further access to her mouth, parting her lips so that Lani's tongue could enter. She felt a shudder travel through her entire body as the succubus played with her...it felt so good. Too good.
a succubus: Her tongue was warm, her saliva so sweet, her mouth was tingling with pleasure, the warm feeling growing, spreading through her body. It reached her brain, pleasure exploding along it, just as she pulled back with a giggle. "There you go... now you're getting into it. Oh, don't worry about that whole... being straight thing. It's really not that big of a deal. Plus..." A hand moved up, brushing hair out of Sakura's face, then cupping her cheek, rubbing, a single thumb playing over her lips. "You'll be able to use all of this on anyone... just imagine how powerful you'll feel!" So strong, just like Lani....
Sakura Haruno: "I-I'm not worried..." Sakura never exactly fretted over her orientation before and now, at least in this moment, such labels were quickly becoming a foreign myth. "I'll just...do what you tell me. Anything you tell me..."
a succubus: "I know you will. Because you're..." Listen carefully, listen, so important! "...a good girl." Good girl! So good! Feels so good to be a good girl! Lani's good girl! The phrase continued to echo as she kissed the ninja again, that soft hand sliding down to start playing with her breasts, the grinding between her legs speeding up again.
Sakura Haruno: Good girl...good girl! That's right! Sakura is a good girl! Everyone told her so...so why is it now that is sounds so important? Her nipples began to harden as Lani played with her breasts and her slit began to moisten from the other girl grinding in between her legs.
a succubus: "I bet you just can't wait... can't wait to learn, can't wait to feel, can't wait to understand..." As she pulled away from the kiss, she caught Sakura's lower lip between her teeth, gently pulling on it as she moved back, letting it slide away. "God, and look how deep you are already. Part of you wants this bad... and the other wants the rest of my offer. So... how about a little taste?" Her eyes flared, just a little. The part of Sakura still aware of danger could tell that... wasn't a good thing. But it didn't matter much as their lips touched again. She felt her whole body quiver, felt her knees shake, felt pleasure shoot like lightning through her body, and felt a part of her be absorbed by the succubus's kiss, who leaned back, licking her lips in satisfaction as the edge of an exhausted feeling crept into her mind. So good, so good to give, give in...
Sakura Haruno: "I'll do whatever you want...I...I..." Sakura clung on to Lani with all of her might, her tongue twisting with hers as she pressed their bodies together. She should stop. She knows this is purely transactional and Lani is clearly going to take more than what's agreed to. She knows better than to agree to something that will leave her without real power. She's smart. She's better than this. I'm all yours... She thought as she looked into the succubus' eyes.
a succubus: "You're all mine." She played with the girl's hair, repeating back her thoughts, reinforcing the idea, and then smiling sweetly. "But hey, don't worry... originally that was going to be all of it!" Her fingers slid down between Sakura's legs, rubbing for some time, eventually sliding one finger inside. "But now I have a whole new idea... I'm going to drain you, Sakura." She didn't say her name, never once gave it... Lani had simply taken it from her memory during that kiss! "You're going to be so weak, so tired, and you'll feel so, so good when I'm through... and then do you know what I'm going to do next?"
Sakura Haruno: "N-no..." She was so high on the pleasure, she didn't feel frightened at the very real lapse in privacy that allowed Lani to obtain her name. Instead, she was excited at the mystery, hoping for the worst (best?). "What are you going to do next?"
a succubus: "I'm going to make you service me... and as you lick and lap and pleasure me while I sit on your face..." She giggled as she painted the image, and brought her finger out of the ninja just for a moment, tracing... something on her body, just above, before moving back and continuing. "...and I'm going to give you energy back. My energy." She leaned in close, breath hot in her ear, whispering... "I'm going to turn you into another succubus."
Sakura Haruno: Sakura's eyes widened, a part of her felt like it should be a reaction of terror...but her words indicated otherwise. "So...does it mean that I can be with you...forever?"
a succubus: "Anytime you want~ I am busy... but I'll make time for you, sweetie." She laughed, kissing her cheek, a second finger sliding inside her. "So you'll need to find a way to keep yourself company while I'm gone~. And I think that boy will do just fine... Sasuke, right? You'll be able to play with his mind, just like I'm playing with yours. Twist it around, make him your little toy... I promised I could make that happen, didn't I?"
Sakura Haruno: "Yes...he'll be mine." She bit her lip as Lani's fingers stirred inside her...but gave her a pleading look as she did so. "A-and I'll be yours too, right?"
a succubus: "Yes, sweetie, always mine. Always." She kissed her again, taking a little more of her energy in the process. "You'll always be able to feel me, and how much I love you. Even as you train your new pet. And any other toys that cross your mind. I'm sure you know a few that would just love to serve..." She really was stirring the pot but... a bunch of ninja's hopelessly in love with their Mistress, who in turn was fully devoted to her Queen? The idea really did make her feel all hot and bothered. "And I'll play with you for hours and hours..."
Sakura Haruno: She was feeling weak, so weak...and so much fuller. She could have collapsed right there. Was this wonderful woman going to make her hers forever? Did she really find her true love in these hot springs? These questions didn't matter. What mattered is that Lani knew how much she cared. "Make me yours!" Sakura begged. "And make sure I can never go back!"
a succubus: The succubus laughed, leaning in, pressing her harder into the rocks. Those eyes flared again, her fingers sped up, fingers began playing with her nipples, and just before Lani kissed her again, she spoke. "That's the idea." Their lips met, she was so much rougher this time! She felt wave after wave of her own energy leaving her body, replaced by the bliss only a succubus could ever provide. She felt her expertly toying with her clit, driving her further and further into depraved lust, and in a moment, as her orgasm hit, her whole world went white with pleasure. Everything felt far, distant, hard to comprehend, but she did realize a few things. She was on her back. Her Queen was standing over her and taken her clothes off. And in just a moment, her face was going to be covered as those beautiful hips lowered.
Sakura Haruno: Sakura didn't feel like herself. And, in a while, she wouldn't even remember herself. Again, she didn't care. She was starved. Thirsty. Famished for the dripping gash above her face. She wanted to taste all of Lani, have her fluids inside her...and, as a bonus, give her an iota of the pleasure she shared with her.
a succubus: Lani cooed as Sakura began to lick, playing with the girl's breasts to start with. "That's it, my pet, that's it... taste me, smell me, drink in your new Queen. And pretty soon..." She pulled on both of her nipples, just a little. Just for effect. "...I'll let you loose, so you can claim a pet of your own... and test out your new life!"
Sakura Haruno: Sakura groaned in euphoric delight as she felt her nipples tweaked, her tongue swirling in Lani's pussy. She was already transforming...becoming something other than human. Her very chakra was morphing inside of her, becoming alien...and she was adoring every moment of it.
a succubus: "Soon my pet, soon my love..." She giggled, of course love wasn't exactly the same for a succubus. She really did adore all her pets though! She wiggled her hips, getting her feet under Sakura's head and pressing her up more tightly, making sure there was no chance of fresh air. Just her. Just Lani. She leaned down as she did, starting to trace patterns on Sakura's body. "Keep it up... ah... you're tongue is so good!"
Sakura Haruno: Air? Who needs air? All Sakura cared about was pleasing her new owner. She gripped Lani's cheeks as she kept her pussy planted on her face, lapping at her drenched entrance with all the enthusiasm she had and then some. She wanted more. No, she needed more of her mistress inside of her...
a succubus: "Ah... hah... what a good girl! So eager! N-now, hold on... I just need... a steady hand here." She didn't say stop, crucially, and didn't want her pet to do so. But she needed to concentrate. Needed to finish this... at the same time she did. Sakura could feel a warmth spreading from where Lania was drawing, a sigil glowing on her body. The binding magic that would soon warp her chakra entirely into demonic energy.
Sakura Haruno: Sakura could feel the heat. A shrinking part of her wanted to resist, to throw her off, preserve her identity...What about Naruto? And Ino? My parents? Kakashi?! And then she remembered her original reason to agreeing to such an obvious con...and let Lani finish her work, her old self dying thinking that as long as she had Sasuke, everything was for the best...
a succubus: She repeated each name back as Sakura thought about them... "Naruto... Ino... Parents... Kakashi... sweetie, you know so many people that will make such adorable pets! ...I can't wait to meet Ino~." She was shuddering slightly, squeezing her head even closer, burying her. "Just... a little.... ah~!" Just in time. The final line drawn, just as those obsessive licks finally drove her over the edge, right into Sakura's waiting mouth, covering her face completely! She shuddered, wave after wave of pleasure coursing through her, loving every euphoric moment as the the girl's body changed subtly. Hips just a little wider, breasts just a little more perfect, tail growing, coiling around her leg, the peek of horns from her hair...
Sakura Haruno: Sakura finally felt whole, her depraved baptism making her feel the most powerful she ever felt in her life. Yes, she will still have everyone...and she will make them such good pets! Naruto would be grateful that his lifelong crush is finally paying attention, she can sort out her complicated feelings with Ino, she could recharge her parents' sex life, it would be fun to have a powerful shinobi like Kakashi on her side...her future was so bright, her tail was already wagging!
a succubus: sorry, one second)
Sakura Haruno: (It's cool.)
a succubus: Lani shuddered with euphoric feelings, and the slight loss of some of her own energy that she'd used to complete the ritual. True to her word, Sakura could hear Lani's voice in her head, accompanying her own thoughts, reminding her of who she served, who she belonged to. But... other than that connection, and the knowledge that she would obey every word her Queen said and love every moment of it, she knew she could act on her desires! Lani climbed off Sakura, giving her one extra view of her behind before turning to look down at her work. "Mmm... even more beautiful now. How are you feeling, my pet?"
Sakura Haruno: "Like the luckiest person on the planet~!" Floating up, Sakura planted a gentle peck on Lani's lips in mid-air. "I meant what I said, by the way. Every word. I'm all yours, mistress..."
a succubus: "Oh I know, sweetie. Whenever you think of me, just remember how much pleasure I bring you~. And whenever I think of you..." Her brand glowed a soft pink, and a blissful feeling coursed through her body. "...oh you'll just know." Lani put her arms above her new thrall's shoulders, kissing her back a few times. "Now be a good girl... and go enslave your friends for me?" Any energy Sakura drained, a portion would come to Lani... a perfect union, at least in the eyes of a succubus.
Sakura Haruno: "Your will is my ultimate desire...my beloved mistress." Sakura gave her a playful grin, flying off into the night. Her heart was fully enraptured, chained, captured... Free.
Sakura Haruno: (Thanks!)
29. Share a bit from a fic you’ll never post OR from a scene that was cut from an already posted fic. (If you don’t have either, just share a random fic idea you have that you don’t plan on getting to.)
Please and thank you!
I have sooooo many fics that might never be posted hahahah (and ones that I plan to but I was told I'm not allowed to start posting them until they're planned out and/or finished because I have too many WIPs)
I have a couple Naruto ideas that are started and likely won't be finished including:
So what happens if you land in the naruto verse?
You wake up and it’s clearly unfamiliar. You fell asleep in your bed. You woke up on the ground, a fire burning and someone sitting there waiting. Obviously, you assume the worst.  What you get instead is insanity.  It takes a while to recognize him. You’ve seen some of the anime but facing him, it looks more like a cosplayer instead of a cartoon. He is quiet and young, so much younger than you ever expected. You feel ancient looking at him. He’s not even twenty. Not that you’re much older. Or at least you don’t feel like you are.  The slash through the headband tells you he’s defected. But he’s so young. God, he looks like he should be starting high school.
A Sakura Focused fic that takes place in an AU and during the Chuunin Exams
They killed her.  She is left for dead, haphazardly buried. They don’t even bother sealing her body and returning it for proof. She’s not worth it, in their eyes. They don’t even check. Her murderers are certain that this civilian playing ninja is dead and if she isn’t, she will be. There is nothing special about her. Her only purpose is to die, according to their orders. Her death will bind her team to the village. She will be a footnote in a story of Konoha’s greatness. If she’s worth even that.  They do not expect the girl to dig herself out, to drag her broken body out of the ground through sheer will and determination. They do not know how her anger fuels her enough to break the surface and breathe. She succumbs to the darkness, alone and furious and in so much pain, as her mind replays the last words said to her: “For Konoha.”
Also a Naruto/Demon Slayer crossover where Sakura ends up in the Demon Slayer 'verse
The world was ending.  Or maybe it was her. There had been someone screaming her name, the sound nearly drowned out by the laughter of a goddess. A whispered promise of realized potential, of a world where she could thrive. Retribution and reward for deeds she hasn’t yet accomplished. Will never achieve. Sakura wakes alone.  The forest is unfamiliar, strange in a way she can’t entirely make sense of. It is not a Konoha forest and she adjusts her chakra to enhance her senses. Nothing smells familiar but she hears a battle in the distance. Children screaming and fighting against something that sounds guttural in return. Despite her uncertainty, Sakura cannot let genin, let alone civilians, get hurt. She shifts the slightest amount of charka to her feet and runs.  They are not ninjas, at least none that she recognizes. She sees no sign of their allegiance, but that’s a small part of what draws her attention. The thing they are fighting is grotesque. Too many hands that remind her in some way of Sasori’s puppets. Two of the fighters are wearing kitsune masks. She hasn’t seen them in ages, the shape banned in Konoha for all the damage the Kyuubi had done. It’s a sudden realization that she is nowhere near a Hidden Village. None of them wished to insult or inadvertently summon another demon.  She balances on the limb of a tree, watching as they fight. The styles are not familiar to her and none of them seem aware that she is there. Even with a focus on an opponent, one must always be aware of their surroundings. Even if your enemy is not alone, there are methods they can use to overpower you if you are not paying attention. She’s trained enough with Shishou and Kakashi to know.
There's also the Jujutsu Kaisen fic about a Queen of Curses...
It’s not like she’s planning anything radical, but she knows this asshole. He was never the type to stay dead. Then again, neither was she. She knows it won't be long before someone will do something stupid and attempt to resurrect him more than he already has. She needs to investigate and deal with this. Quickly.  What a pain.  “I thought you said we were avoiding the country?” she asks herself softly.  “There’s no choice,” the voice echoes back. “Better we deal with him now and find whoever’s helping him.”  “And then what?” She shoves her hands in her pocket. Her headphones are covering her ears, helping it look like she’s just on a call.  “We deal with them.”  She sighs. “Yeah, I thought you’d say that. So what’s the plan?”  “Stay hidden,” it says. “Until it’s too late.” “For them,” she agrees. “You sure no one will sense you?”  “They never have. They’ve forgotten about me.” “Well, not for long I guess,” she says.  “We will remind them.” “As you wish, milady.” She can’t help but tease them. It’s so easy sometimes.  “Refrain from that term.”
There's an updated list of my wip docs here (but it doesn't include the prompts in my ask box that I need to finish lol)
Thanks for asking!
There's something I want to address and it's the claim that SS and NH are lacking or bad because Kishimoto can't write romance or can't write female characters. While I definitely agree that he doesn't write his female characters nowhere near as interesting or with the same depth as his male characters, Sakura and Hinata's characters being particularly bad and SS/NH being bad has nothing to do with his inability to write heterosexual romance. We have seen him write some.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dan and Tsunade had a romantic relationship, and we see them bond due to similar values and similar pain. They can relate and understand each other. They have things in common. They speak like equals. Now, I will not add all of their pages together because it will make the post too long, but isn’t it sad that in three pages we have a better connection, better understanding and more believable romance between a minor character and a side character, than we have between two main characters that had 700 chapters worth of time to have a believable romantic relationship and connection? I don’t even need to add all the pages where they are touchy and happy around each other or when Dan calls Tsunade his dream and kisses her forehead.
Now compare that to Sasuke and Sakura. To quote @sneezemonster15 "We are yet to see a profound, honest and emotionally touching interaction or conversation between Sasuke and Sakura". To add to that, we have yet to see Sakura say anything profound about Sasuke's character, goals or values. All we ever see her do is cry and scream how much she loves him and how much it pains her. Sasuke doesn't even treat her as an equal enough to face her whenever she pours out her feelings, like he does with Naruto. She doesn’t know anything about him because he never speaks to her. She has the nerve to compare him leaving her to the massacre of his family in terms of tragedy and loneliness, despite the fact she has a family, because she lacks empathy and understanding towards him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whenever she confesses, she looks angry, and her reasonings are irrational. She always tries to talk about herself in order to sway him. They never communicate, they never have deep conversations. They can’t relate to each other because Sakura doesn’t value her family and family is Sasuke’s character motivation and the most important thing to him. When Sasuke says there is no reason for him to love Sakura and no reason for her to love him, he’s right. What would Sasuke love about Sakura? He doesn’t even know her, and her values and behavior are something that irritates him. Sakura doesn’t know Sasuke either. She’s just addicted to him.
As for NH, Kishi was able to make a female character save her love interest without looking pathetic or coming off as selfish. And that character is Temari.
Tumblr media
Again I won’t post all the images but Temari comes to save Shikamaru because Tsunade send back up, and Shikamaru starts with his usual “a man can’t have a woman defend him” nonsense and Temari is like, telling him not to underrestimate her and she proves him wrong too. She does manage to save him. Temari is a great kunoichi and always shown as one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now compare this to Hinata. First of all as I pointed out in one of my essays Kishimoto build up this moment by having multiple characters say no one should join the fight between Naruto and Pain because they would only make things harder for Naruto and get in his way. Hinata is also told about this. But, as she says, her motivation to join the fight is selfish. She wants to confess her feelings. She also has no strategy, she just barges in and is immediately one-paneled by Pain and needs to be saved. So not only did Kishimoto show Hinata as an incompetent kunoichi, he also showed her as selfish and only thinking about her own feelings. This is completely different from how he portrayed Temari.
My point is, Kishi can write female characters as not pathetic, even if he doesn’t give them the same attention as his male characters. He can also make them have reasonable interest in a male character. He can write them as not selfish. He can write the romantic interaction as tasteful. But he never did this for SS or NH because he never intended them to be good romances.
