My fiancé is playing PokeRogue (a Pokémon rogue-lite game) and it’s making me have Pokémon AU thoughts.

I’m not too sure what the story is (someone hates to read dialogue/story). But it’s giving Trainer!Kakashi with Obito as his rival vibes. Not Gai, because Gai doesn’t go off the deep-end into crazy. Obito kinda does. Getting crazier and crazier the more Kakashi beats him. Endless battles until he beats Obito for the final time.

Idk. Just seems fun. I can also see Gamer!Kakashi playing it.

Gamer Kakashi would play it and 100% name his Rival ‘obito’ not because Obito’s his actual rival (he’s not) but because this character gets so vicerally angry about losing

Meanwhile in a Pokemon world i do usually have Obito as the ‘i want to be the Rival but Gai is there and he’s clearly the actual rival’ and he’s very (understandably) upset about it

I also have Obito as the Rival in my Sinnoh play through because… well…

I mean the Lets go Pikachu Rival was barely Kakashi but at least he had a Jolteon. Sinnoh Rival does not have the bonus of having Jolteon and gets so angy everytime you beat him

Does Kakashi have a prosthetic or no? Either way i know he’s kicking butt, and post war he might get one when they start making them (it’s similar to the Leg prosthetic Gai gets) but before?

Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul is currently flooded

I don't make these kinds of posts, but Rio Grande do Sul (a brazilian estate) is going through its worst natural catastrophe in recorded history and I need everyone to know about this. Its currently looking like this:

What is going on

Most of Brazil suffers from yearly floods during the rain season. These floods most of the time aren't bad, with water going away a few hours later. Sometimes they are a nightmare, with people losing their homes and most if not all belongings. But this?

This is not fucking normal.

Currently (May 6th, 2024) there's +80 confirmed deaths and 873 thousand people are being affected by these historical floods. Eight hundred and seventy three THOUSAND people. Once again: THIS. IS. NOT. NORMAL.

Rio Grande has 496 cities, and currently, 364 are reporting problems related to this. It's almost the entirety of Rio Grande - and you know how big Rio Grande is? If you're from the USA, its just a bit bigger than Colorado, and just a bit smaller than Nevada. If you are European, Rio Grande is bigger than the United Kingdom. Can you imagine if almost the entirety of the UK was underwater? Because I sure fucking can just by watching brazilian news!

Rio Grande expects floods. It rains a lot in Brazil. What no one expect is having to deal with 2,30 meters - 7'7 feet for reference - ABOVE the expected flooding level, which is 3 meters (9'10 feet). This means that there were 5,26 meters (17'3 ft) of water. Chart for comparison:

I live in São Paulo, which is completely unaffected by what is going on over there, but I need people to be aware of this. Why?

yeah in my case I never felt that Kakashi wanted to force Sasuke to love Sakura, Sasuke is the only one who speaks romantically, but not Kakashi, from the beginning he said "she doesn't want to make you hers" and it's only when Sasuke says "she has no reason to love me nor i her" that he tells him "you only need a reason to HATE someone", I feel that Kakashi is only answering him, but not for Sasuke to marry her or return her love, but so that they can work as a team or at least get along well, sorry I don't know how to explain it

No you explained it well.

Kakashi’s definitly speaking of romantic love but in response to Sasuke. Clearly they disagree on how to love/why you would love someone and i would have loved to see that explored more outside of these conditions

But people want Sasuke to be manipulated into loving Sakura so they blame Kakashi, even though Kakashi never really suggests that he expects Sasuke to return Sakura’s feelings

He just really wants him to stop being so dismissive/down right cruel to her. Like he just knocked her out with a genjutsu for the crime of trying to stop him, and like Sasuke’s reasoning is valid (she almost died last time she tried to stop him and Naruto and Kakashi’s not gonna be able to just throw them apart this time. They’re more powerful than he is) but it was still rather cruel to knock her out like that

Espeshally when in the end, after constantly dismissing her and calling her useless, him and Naruto needed her help in order to defeat Kaguya.

In multiple ways.

So like, Kakashi has watched Sasuke belittle and insult her this whole time and now Sasuke’s knocking her out???

I can see why he’d step in. Sakura can’t defend herself anymore, and it has been constant non stop dismissals from Sasuke even after Sakura helped him and Naruto defeat Kaguya

He doesn’t want Sasuke to love Sakura back romanticlly

He just wants him to maybe understand why she’s doing what she’s doing

How she feels

And maybe just be a lil nicer

(I would consider it manipulating if Kakashi had said something about Sakura before Sasuke did the stupid lil poke thing before leaving Konoha, but in the end Kishi just decided to make ‘Sasuke finally returns her feelings’ as part of his stupid ‘i need to redeem myself’ (even though he honestly didn’t) arc

I don't know if you said it because they are talking about it again, but I still feel that it's a scene where people want to find who is right and blame or hate the other, but it's not that deep, it's to show different points of view and that's all. It's tiring to see that they always talk about it again in order to hate Kakashi, or for example in tw where they use the scene to hate Sakura/Sasuke

I mean, I dislike Sasuke/Sakura but that has nothing to do with that scene and everything to do with Kishi’s overall terrible writing of the couple

As for that scene in particular, you’re right

I guess it can feel a bit like Kakashi’s pushing Sasuke to love Sakura back, but i feel like he’s just begging ng Sasuke to stop pushing her away so violently

Like he stats ‘she doesn’t want to make her yours’ (which again we know is wrong but dude isn’t a mind reader) which tells me he’s not trying to manipulate or force Sasuke into loving Sakura back and getting with her

He’s just trying to explain Sakura’s feelings and how he personally can understand why she continues to love Sasuke even without a confirmed reason to

Sasuke’s the one who starts the conversation stating ‘she has no reason to love me nor i her’ and Kakashi responds ‘you only need a reason to HATE someone’

Which is just saying ‘you don’t really need a reason to love someone so i can get her point’ but also not at all trying to push Sasuke to love Sakura back

Just to understand that while he feels a reason is needed not everyone does and that’s valid

And it IS valid

It doesn’t make Sakura/Sasuke any better as a couple. In general they’re just a bad match

But that has nothing to do with the conversation at hand. It’s just a difference of opinion on love

I love her because she’s actually a character who ‘takes no shit’ but is also immediately shown to be more conplex

Like she loses her temper but when she thinks the rock she threw destroyed Konoha she gets just as upset/concerned as Omoi and it is adorable

She’s also fiercly loyal to her Sensei and i love that for her.

Also (and this is obv from the books) her love for Choji is just so sweet. Karui is very much a woman who could have had her pick of men but she met this sweetheart of a shinobi and didn’t even hesitate and i think that’s adorable

I’d say a really important headcanon close to my heart is that he’s Chocho’s uncle, and not just her main uncle

Her BEST uncle

Always comed to Konoha with treats from Kumo so she can have good food from her other home, trains with her, always pumping her up, and just generally loves her

Would kill and die for her without hesitation, and Chocho very much returns those feelings as she gets older. No competition that Omoi is her fav uncle

Rin lives au

It actually takes Kakashi longer to start talking to Rin again than it does for him to heal. Boy is rightfully angry and Rin is trying to justify why she tried to use him to off herself

It’s only when she complains to Gai that Rin is finally told that her actions hurt Kakashi

Not just physically by forcing him to destroy his own arm, but mentally

He’s terrified of going near her and having her try the same thing again, and being unable to stop himself a second time

Only when someone finally tells her just how much her choice to die by Kakashi’s hand really messed him up mentally does Rin understand that Kakashi doesn’t need to understand the position she found herself in

He understands just fine

But she needs to accept that her shitty situation doesn’t take away how much she hurt him with her choice, and that she owes him an apology for trying to take that choice away from him and use him as a weapon

Once she apologizes the two of them can start rebuilding their friendship stronger than ever, because Rin stops seeing Kakashi just as this really strong talented shinobi and accepts that he is just as human as she is.
