She forgot how to speak when she felt the tip of his aristocratic nose nuzzle into her hair and heard him inhale deeply. When his right hand released hers and trailed with near agonising unhurriedness down the slender curve of her waist, Sakura felt like every part of her was caught between devastating electricity and intolerable fire. She didn't know what to do to get away from the head spinning sensations his touches were eliciting. And what terrified her most of all was that a part of her, at that very moment, wasn't even fully certain that it wanted to get away.

Day 1: Genin Days

Sakura frowned at the bandage on Sasuke's cheek, which honestly wasn't doing much to help the wound. She couldn't help herself for she was the one who had put it there in the first place.

“Something wrong?” Sasuke asked.

She jumped a little at being caught staring at him.

Kakashi-sensei was still busy helping Naruto cook his pack of instant ramen over the campfire they'd set up. When she looked back, Sasuke was still gazing attentively at her, awaiting her response.

Her brows furrowed in hesitation as she spoke, “I'm sorry.”

Sasuke matched her expression, lips turning down in confusion. “Why?”

“For the bandage.” She explained. “Sorry it doesn't help much with your wound.”

She heard a soft breathy release of air.

Sakura blinked several times, wondering if she was under the effects of some sort of hallucinogenic, forest plant. Or did the “Sasuke Uchiha” actually scoff at her?

“Don't worry about it.” He touched the bandage gently, lips quirked up into a faint smile. “Its enough.”

Day 2: Rogue

“Would you betray Konoha for me?”

“Yes!”

She was 16 and young, and a little too in love to realize what she was getting into. She'd thought his maddening drive for revenge wouldnt last long. Believed she'd persuade him before it was too late.

But now, as she stood next to Sasuke, paralysed by the dreadful sight of the burning village she had grown up in, and the lifeless body of the young boy she'd once called a friend, she didn't know if she'd made the right decision.

“Sakura,” He called.

She didn't realize she'd been trembling until he wrapped a hand around her waist and drew her closer. She didn't notice she was crying until he wiped a tear from her eye with the very same bloody hand he'd used to pierce a chidori through Naruto's heart.

He gazed down at her, his sharingan feeling far more sinister than ever as he used the same hand to raise her chin up and capture her lips into a kiss that chilled her in spot.

When he pulled back, he smiled and whispered. “Thank you for everything.”
