2023 NOTION TEMPLATE
Tumblr media
hello hello!
disclaimer: this post is not related to writing, but to a notion template I've created.
these past few weeks i've been developing a notion template for 2023 (for myself), and thought why not sell it online?
honestly, it's been a bit difficult lately because I'm a college student and there's lots of stuff to pay all the time and I'm aware I can't ask my parents for money 24/7. also, next year I'm going to study abroad for a whole semester, which (again) is going to take a lot of money.
so, i opened gumroad store, but I found out it only works when you already have a platform (yay 😒) and guess what! i don't have a platform! tumblr probably is where I have more followers, so that's why I'm posting this here (kind of off-topic I know!)
here goes the little promo:
2023? Well, this is your year!
Make sure you write down your goals, keep them visible on a vision board, and run after them! Don't forget to plan your days through the year and, also important, to keep track of things in your life such as your health and fitness goals, books and articles, recipes, and more.
To help with all of this, I've created this notion template, which contains:
dashboard (overview of your calendar, undated tasks, and upcoming events)
planner (schedule, tasks & events, habit tracker)
health (fitness goals, workout and meal history, life trackers)
workouts (categories, exercises, progress with pictures, measurements, diary)
meals (plan your meals through the week, grocery list)
recipes (save your favorite recipes by category)
finances (weekly balance, log income/expense, statistics, yearly overview, bills, subscriptions, savings)
goals (2023 resolutions, vision board, monthly goals)
personal (learning, shelf - books and articles, prompts, mood log)
This template is all you need to start this new year! Organize and plan each day and month of 2023 with this operating system and make sure you achieve all your goals this year!

Tuesday 28th November 2023
After a long-deserved break, I am back! Hope everyone is doing well! In terms of coding, I have gone straight into learning Figma a bit better now (I know how to use it now, at least the basics) and now just planning my next project better~!
It's more of a personal project which is basically a bunch of productivity widgets on one page that's more designed as a dashboard. One step further would be that I turn it into an extension that loads whenever I open a new tab so it's always there, but that's more fetch for me right now, I know my current limits~!
Besides that, do check out some stuff I've made on a whim for my store:
Top Priorities List Widget | Notion Widget
Saint of the Day | Notion Widget
Simple Weekly Planner | Google Sheets Template
I'll be sure to keep posting updates, but still taking things slow~! Have a nice day and learn to code something today, IT CAN BE FUN believe it or not- 🤔💕

some updates:
focusing only on mandarin for now
been using quizlet to store new vocab i pick up and grammar notes as i like to hear the audio to help me remember and shadow
transferring them later into anki in quiz review format that i plan to only take like maybe weekly to test myself - used a 'type in the answer' option vs using the basic style
using this site for grammar and still using hellochinese for daily streaks - my 'lifeline' for days i don't get to study as much
logging study sessions i've accomplished for the day in notion with some journal / thoughts after the session~
been watching derailment (2023) lately for listening practice (the plot twists are plot twisting)
haven't got into the habit of reading books yet on readibu but it's on my to-do list!
changed my notion dashboard a bit again. been really lovin art made by sseongryul on instagram! found their stuff on pinterest

Monster Beyond The Lab
This story's word count sits at three thousand, fifty two (3,052), and was completed in August 2023. This story features several original characters of mine (mostly human and one not), and is set in a modern-adjacent setting.
Any comments, questions, concerns you might have about this story would be best served to my askbox!
To reduce the size of this post on y'all's dashboards, the story itself is below the cut~!
Midway Point Lab, April twelfth, twenty one hundred hours. Previous to today, this laboratory has been experimenting with genetic modification of organisms for long enough that their researchers have made several fully functioning organisms via the tech in this lab. Despite the team’s small size, their first ever success was born fourteen years ago, a humanoid covered head to toe with eggplant purple fur and has two gleaming gold eyes. This success story was named Morris to honor the lead researcher’s, Oliver Supra’s, late father, and Morris ended up being raised by the kindhearted Della Prune, the team’s lone psychologist at that point in time. Oliver Supra, being the leader of the team, is the public face of his cohorts. Standing at exactly two meters tall, with light tanned skin, chestnut hair, freckles scattered across his skin, straight edged formal glasses to aid his vision, and usually sporting a standard issue lab coat and name badge, he’s quite the rallying point of the team and the public. By contrast, Della Prune ends up blending in, even at the scientific conventions this team goes to view. Della is a fair skinned, brown haired, trans woman sporting green eyes, glasses decorated with simple flower etchings, and typically wearing her lab coat in combination with her flowery name badge. Jumping back to the present, April twelfth is the day that Midway Point Lab finally received a shipment of their sister lab’s experimental mutation agent after several weeks of delays. This mutation agent, nicknamed the monster vaccine, has odd morphological and behavioural effects on most test subjects it is used on, mostly lab rats at this point in time.
Oliver brushes past Della on the way to Morris’s chamber in a huff.
Della, confused by Oliver’s faster than average pace, simply watches as Oliver enters Morris’s room.
After a moment of consideration, Della begins to make her way to Morris’s room, curious about what could be going on.
Della, now several meters from Morris’s room’s door, a guttural roar radiates out from the direction of Morris’s room and through the rest of the lab. The first roar just about knocks Della off her feet before she’s able to catch herself.
More concerned than ever about what that noise was, Della runs for Morris’s room at a quicker pace than before. She sets her hand on the door as a second roar rips the surrounding air.
Della, in an attempt to soften the volume hitting her eardrums, covers her ears as the second roar runs the rest of its course.
As soon as the second roar peters out, Della swiftly opens the door to Morris’s room.
An empty, specially marked syringe lies on the floor as Morris rears. No longer in his humanoid form thanks to the shot he was given, Morris is almost two feet taller than he was before and standing on all fours as he looks down at Oliver.
Morris’s head towers over Oliver’s as Morris speaks, his golden eyes fixed on Oliver’s face. The lab child’s voice is still recognizable despite its increased volume and lowered pitch. “Why did you do this to me, Olly?!”
Oliver, despite having fallen to a place ahead of Morris moments before, raises his voice at the lab child. “You’ve been a bad kid for the last month! Ever since Della taught you about HER manners, you’ve been acting up!”
Morris, enraged at this notion, grabs Oliver with his dominant front limb and lifts this lead scientist off of the floor. “It’s because of you I hate this place! I want out dangit!”
Morris forcefully tosses Oliver at the wall to his right. A resounding thud marks the moment Oliver hits the wall, which also shakes the room enough that several of Morris’s keepsakes fall from their places. Morris’s reading glasses on his bedside table, a picture frame from a shelf, and Morris’s favourite weighted tyrannosaurus rex plush all find their way to the floor, some in more pieces than one.
Della, having had front row seats to this, simply covers her mouth with her hands before falling to her knees.
Morris notices Della’s presence and looks her way.
The psychologist closes her eyes and weeps. Almost all of Morris’s belongings were gifts from her, and seeing a good chunk of them on the floor in this wrecked room doesn’t make things any better for her. This is the first time she’s cried at all in the laboratory.
Morris, concerned for Della’s well being, steps towards Della’s position. “Della! I’m so sorry!” Morris’s eyes nervously dart around as he cobbles his next statement together. “Is there anything I can do to make things better?!”
Della looks up, tears in her eyes. Despite Morris’s inhuman appearance, she loves him like a mother loves a child. Della and Morris begin to hear emergency sirens in the distance.
After sharing a moment of eye contact with Morris, Della’s mind is settled. “Morris, I’m getting you out of here.”
Della gets to her feet and wipes her face clear of tears, then begins to run towards the lab’s exit, leaving the now unconscious Oliver in their dust. Despite having to squeeze through his room’s door, Morris easily keeps pace with Della despite his unfamiliarity with this new form. Long legs go a long way it seems…
After about two minutes of running, Della and Morris have found the largest exit to the building. This exit to the laboratory amounts to a garage door that has to be unlocked with a lab-mandated key card. Having never seen this part of the lab, Morris simply examines the currently closed exit and the surrounding area as Della hastily whips out her key card and unlocks the exit. Della hears the chime of the locking mechanism go off through the cacophony of alarms and swiftly hits the button to open the exit.
As the exit begins to open, Morris turns to face Della. “Della, what’s the plan after I get out?”
Della wastes no time to answer. “You need to run into the woods. I’ll take whatever consequences they give me.”
“Consequences?! Della, I don’t want you to be in trouble!”
The exit is halfway open at this point. The security begins making their way to this far off corner to the lab, and both Morris and Della can faintly hear their footsteps over the sound of the lab’s alarms.
Della turns to look at Morris once again. “It will be fine, Morris.” Della leans forward to set her forehead on Morris’s. “I want you to be happy, and if I have to get in trouble to do that, so be it.”
Morris begins to tear up at Della’s statement. The distinct click of the exit fully opening makes Della perk up. The security is almost here.
Della sets her hands on opposite sides of Morris’s face and looks him in the eyes. “Morris, run and don’t look back. I’ll always love you.”
Morris smiles with his face full of tears. Della takes a step back from Morris, and waves goodbye. Morris sincerely nods to Della, and dashes out of the back exit to the lab. The security, having just arrived at the scene, are only able to catch a glimpse of Morris upon entering this back room…
Three weeks have passed since the incident on April twelfth. Thanks to her involvement with April twelfth’s incident, Della was expelled from Midway Point Lab, and has been rooming with her longtime friend for about two weeks now. Della currently sits at a covered bus stop in the pouring rain with a bag of apples next to her. She’s been texting Ulmer, her long time friend, to pass the time while waiting for the ride that her brother had promised her.
Della’s notification noise sounds. Della taps on it to find that it’s another text from Ulmer.
“Are you sure Damian is coming for you? He’s not usually awake at this time…” Ulmer’s text reads.
Della begins typing a response. “Eh fair.”
Ulmer’s response hits faster than Della can add on to her previous message. “Are you sure you are handling things alright?” And yet another message hits. “You haven’t been yourself since you moved in with me”
Della’s hands tremble for a moment before typing up her response. “... I’m going to be okay eventually. Just come get me before the rain gets worse.”
Ulmer replies with a thumbs up emoji.
Della locks her phone screen when another notification noise sounds.
It’s another message from Ulmer. “Where are you again?”
Della rolls her eyes before opening her phone’s map app, obtaining the URL for the bus stop she’s at, and sending that link to Ulmer.
Ulmer gets the message and replies with two thumbs up emojis.
Della breathes a sigh of relief and locks her phone’s screen with no interruption. Della’s attention drifts throughout her field of view from her seat at the bus stop. With an older neighbourhood to her back and an empty, eerily quiet road ahead of a decrepit metal fence, there isn’t much to look at around here. Della, starved of stimulation, begins to nod off after some minutes…
That’s when Della snaps back to awareness at a familiar sound. After a half second of not knowing what the noise was, Della’s mind realizes.
Della quietly repeats her mind’s transmission. “That was a light switch.”
But from where? Della begins to look around for the source of the noise, and then finally notices what is beyond the torn metal fence. The structure looks to be an abandoned warehouse, but now with its electric lights on.
Della shakes her head at the thought to go investigate the warehouse before hearing her ringtone loud and clear.
Now alert, Della unlocks her phone screen and finds the caller is none other than Oliver flippin’ Supra.
Della’s following comment drips with acid as she grits her teeth. “How dare you-”
Della is quick on the draw to hang up. She has no reason to talk to her traitorous former boss, she thinks. Now back in the general quiet of this rainy night and over her spike in adrenaline, Della’s jitters still and she begins to drift off again. She feels the vibration of the phone in her pocket before her eyes drift closed…
A distant exclamation makes Della snap to attention. The exclamation came from beyond the weathered fence, and was far enough away that she couldn’t make out what was said. But Della thinks she knows the source of the utterance. Della loudly sighs, and deciding to drop her better judgment, opts to get up and make a path towards the abandoned warehouse.
Della spares barely a moment to look both ways before crossing this quiet, currently damp road. She finds a breach in the metal fence, and after making sure no one is watching, Della steps through the gap in the fence and carries onto the electrically lit warehouse.
Della steps to a place that she can see inside the warehouse before quickly jolting back behind a proper wall. She certainly saw someone familiar…
“Huh?” The someone in the warehouse barely caught a glimpse of Della.
Near complete silence ensues. The rain continues to patter on the warehouse’s roof.
Della does her best to stay out of sight as she attempts to relax, but the slight shifting of Della’s hands against the brick wall tips off the someone just beyond. The someone begins stepping towards Della’s position, and Della’s anxiety gets more intense with each step as they become more audible to her.
Just before the someone makes it to her position, Della decides to reveal her presence by stepping out from behind the warehouse wall she was behind. Della closes her eyes and braces herself for a drastic reaction…
… Only to hear this someone softly drop to the floor.
Then, the someone pipes up. “Can someone PLEASE get some first aid for me…?”
Morris, over his monstrous form from weeks ago, is bowing so low that his head is touching the floor. Della notices that Morris’s voice has stayed the same pitch as the last time she saw him, unlike his physical presence from weeks ago. Morris’s body plan has reverted back to its humanoid state, but now with slightly longer fur atop his head and a likely stolen and ragged pair of tan pajama pants.
Della struggles to cobble an answer together. She’s too preoccupied to predict what Morris will do if-
Morris sets both of his hands around Della’s right ankle and looks up towards the woman’s face. “Please, I’ve had a bear trap stuck on my leg for-”
Morris goes quiet. He recognizes Della, but can barely gather his words…
In the resulting quiet, Della dodges into the warehouse with Morris still holding onto her ankle.
Della carefully bends her knees to lower herself closer to Morris’s level. She sets a hand on his forehead.
Morris carefully looks up at Della’s face. “You’re doing okay, Della..?”
Della quietly speaks. “... I’d say so.”
Morris lets go of Della’s ankle and backs a short distance away from Della. “What else has happened?”
Thanks to the position that Morris settled into, Della can plainly see the bear trap clamped around Morris’s lower right leg.
Della verbally stumbles. “W-Well, that can wait, Morris! We’ve gotta attend to your leg!!!”
It is Morris’s turn to stutter. “But w-where do we go for that??? An urgent care doc won’t treat me…!”
Della sighs. “I’m sure we can-”
Della cuts herself off as she hears a familiar clatter. She turns her head in the clatter’s direction, and sees a slightly dishevelled Ulmer looking down at her.
Ulmer shouts. “Della! You silly goose! I don’t even know how many laws we’re breaking right now!!!”
Della, still low to the ground, raises an eyebrow. “Huh?”
Ulmer shouts at a slightly lower “Well first ya missed my call, then ran into a restricted area, left the apples at the bus stop, and then-”
Morris decides to cut in. “And then found me?”
Ulmer goes white upon getting an eyeful of Morris, then promptly faints. Ulmer crashes to the floor just next to the plush owl-shaped fidget toy he brought with him. Both Della’s neutral expression and Morris’s questioning stance from a moment before snap to extreme concern for the guy who just crashed onto the floor. Della and Morris get up to come to Ulmer’s aid, with Della getting up with less difficulty in her uninjured state and taking a moment to grab Ulmer’s fidget toy.
After setting Ulmer’s owl in her pocket, Della turns towards Morris and shouts. “Morris! We’ll get ya patched up at my place, just help me carry Ulmer to the car!”
Morris nods, and sets the unconscious Ulmer to a place over his shoulder.
Della motions for Morris to follow her out of the warehouse before beginning to retrace her steps back to the bus stop. Morris nods, and limps behind Della through the rain and muddy ground.
After stepping over the decrepit fence and crossing the street, all three of them have made it within view of the bus stop that Della was at earlier, albeit with Ulmer still unconscious and slung over Morris’s shoulder. Raindrops continue to splatter on the roof of Ulmer’s car sitting just outside of the bus stop, and Della quickly turns to Morris.
“Morris, keep watch while I get my apples.”
Morris nods, and Ulmer slightly twitches. Della smiles, and walks into the bus stop.
Della grabs the apples she left on the bench inside, and turns to walk out before coming to a sudden stop. She thought she saw something on the wall.
Della slowly turns back the other way, and sees a newspaper headline taped to the wall in the covered bus stop.
“Monster Cited In Local Woods” is at the top of the page below the publication’s details, and that is all she gets to read as a horrible noise begins to roar in the distance. A cavalcade of police sirens are at the edge of Della’s senses.
Della jolts out of the bus stop and shouts to Morris, her possessions and produce in hand. “Morris, we have to go, NOW!”
Morris’s eyes light up with fear. “U-Uh, where?!”
Ulmer sleepily shifts back into consciousness at the sound of conversation. “... Why ya two yelling?”
Della, now in the grip of panic, jolts to the driver side of Ulmer’s car and swiftly opens the door. “Less talking, more driving, Ulmer!” and signals for Morris to set him down.
Morris obeys, properly orienting Ulmer and setting him down feet first on the road before nestling one clawed hand in another. Della steps away from the driver seat and gestures for Ulmer to get in.
Still slightly dazed, Ulmer loudly sighs and swiftly steps over to the open door to get behind the wheel. Della opens one side of the back seat and dives into the car before quickly opening the other entrance to the back seat, the one closest to Morris.
Morris looks into the newly opened backseat and sees Della reaching toward him with an outstretched hand. Morris takes Della’s hand and slots into Ulmer’s backseat, and hastily closes the door behind him after having navigated the bear trap laden leg safely into the car.
Ulmer turns on his car and sets the car to drive back home without a backwards glance.
Several minutes after Ulmer, Della, and Morris have left the premises, a brigade of police cars and their singular plus one arrives on the road just outside the abandoned warehouse. The cops exit their vehicles in bunches at a time and proceed to the warehouse in a piecemeal fashion, desperate for data to achieve their mission to retrieve the lab-created monster. Midway Point Lab’s legal team discreetly bribed the swine’s leader to avoid a PR disaster for the upcoming convention, and with any objections from the little men being met with expulsion. Lightning lights the sky above as the last of these officers scale the fence. The hogs’ informant, the plus one mentioned above, turns his car off and steps out onto the damp street. A thunderclap sounds, radiating throughout the area. Oliver adjusts his tie before whipping out his phone, ready for another dubious communication…

25 August 2023
Okay, I'm finally starting to draft my Notion, and one page I'm adding will contain my saving goals. Each month, I plan to put aside anything I have left over toward some items I want to save up for! I'm already committed to saving 5% (may go up to 10%, we'll see) and investing 1.5% monthly (may increase to 3%... maybe), and then I'll save for specific goals (some serious, most fun) after my expenses. For me, almost any single item over $50 is an investment, and any frivolous item over $100 requires serious, long-term consideration before purchase (tbh anything unplanned over $25 feels exorbitantly expensive). I currently have six goals to complete in varying amounts of time:
bass guitar + kit -- I don't have a specific model in mind, but I think I want to learn bass as a treat for myself after passing quals!
american duchess shoes -- I just adore their oxford heels so much, but I think giving myself the time to actively save for them will help me decide whether I actually want them or just like the aesthetic on others
new laptop -- honestly I just want a laptop that's significantly more portable without sacrificing too much power/space (I don't know the slightest thing about computer specs though so I'm going to need a bit of research), and I want to save up enough to get a new one before my current one craps out on me (it's still going strong though!!)
england trip -- I would like to go visit a friend after my first year in grad school, but I'll likely have to dip into savings for this because that's a lot of money to save in a short period
starter emergency fund -- I know that I'm lucky to have familial support, but I want to have a base savings in my account I think to help with anything life has to throw at me. I won't be able to rely on my parents forever. I know you don't go to grad school to save money, and I know I want to live with a bit of comfort and glamour, but I still think this is an important goal to start actively working toward. Since I didn't spend much in college (and got a well-paying internship during lockdown which went directly into savings), I'm not that far off from my goal amount. Until I reach that amount, this one is my priority tbh (and I'll obvi keep adding after reaching this amount).
According to my Notion widget thing, I'd have to have $687 left over each month to reach all of my goals on time using my time and cost estimates (major note: literally $500 of that is going toward the possible england trip bc the turnaround is so quick lol,,,, ~$200 a month toward realistic saving goals aint actually all that bad).
I actually am looking forward to saving for things??? Which is weird and feels very adult. Like yeah having expendable income is nice but I love the idea of having a bit of patience pay off.
I was a little daunted by the idea of starting a Notion for my PhD because there are quite a few expectations I have for it, and I was afraid of not "getting it right" the first time (I recognized that it's unnecessary to create entirely new pages for each semester when I could just add them to a single dashboard to minimize the remaking I have to do each semester (grocery list, recipe book, etc), but this makes me feel like I would be stuck with whatever I crafted the first time even though that's obviously not true). That's a fault of mine that I have to work hard to overcome if I ever want to get anything done. But I watched a video about starting a Notion in ten minutes and the speaker plainly said to just start simple. Then build off of the simplicity in small chunks when you have the time. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to keep a lot of the same functions I've used previously that have worked (Academic Timeline, Spaced Rep calendar, grocery list and recipe book), add a savings tracker from a template which I know I want and will use, and worry about all the other little bits at a later date many later dates. Maybe I'll add a half-hour (or single-task) "Notion Tune-Up" to my Admin Friday routine. Play around and fix it up bit by bit brick by boring brick (da-da da da-da da da-da).
I'm going to be relatively close to one of the cities/venues where Welcome to Night Vale is performing on its tour this fall, and I am so so so so tempted to just buy a ticket and go alone. The only thing holding me back is not knowing exactly what my first semester will look like calendar-wise. Like I'd probably (maybe..) skip it if there was an exam the next day, you know? But that opportunity seems almost too good to skip considering the cost (esp since I'm going to have to miss out on The Crane Wives this fall even though they're coming near my hometown for their first tour post-pandemic and that kills me on the inside a little). I'd love to support my favorite scripted podcast if I could. I also just don't know the area at all or how safe it would be to go alone. I mean,,,,, I could just adopt a bit of the delulu and hope for the best. There are only a few more days for me to buy the ticket relatively guilt free and I'm pretty close to just doing it.
Today I'm thankful that my sibling had a good move in day.
I... ugh I really need to get started on my hair. My sister used a hack this last time on her hair where she braided halfway, banded, then came back to it after the roots were all done. I might implement that. There's no way I'll be able to finish all of my hair plus everything else I need to do if I braid every strand straight through. I want to be packed by Sunday night so I can use Monday morning as a last-minute-check period.

notion tour | 2023 (outdated)
hello humans! new month, new notion post. today i'll be showing you how i set-up my notion workspace and my organization system. for a deeper look into my set-up, check out my notion yt channel. i'll have a more in depth tour on my channel soon!
starting off with my sidebar, i try to keep this as clean and free of unnecessary pages as possible. ideally, i'd have one dashboard page and my archive but that's not the case at the moment. currently, i have my command center at the top which is my main dashboard. then, i have my server room which i talked more about in this video. next up, we have my business dashboard which is where i manage all my business related responsibilities such as my gumroad orders, and expenses. following, we have my book of shadows page which i use to organize my witchcraft and astrology tarot cards. next, we have my archive page which is where i store unused notion pages.
command center
my command center was inspired by templates i purchased from this etsy shop quite awhile ago and i just adapted some features into my own set-up. this is the specific template i purchased. my command center is full of different specialty areas that i use on a daily basis. the first being my 3 priorities section.
server room
my server room was adapted from this etsy shop but i ended up changing it to meet my needs. i go through this page in this video. essentially, i keep and store all my original databases in this page so i don't accidentally delete it across my workspace.
rosepehtels
this is my business page for my personal brand and shop(s). i keep track of my business expenses and responsibilities like managment and administrative tasks here.
conclusion
that is all for this tour for now. to read my full post on this check out my blog post here

as the new year approaches, many of us set goals and resolutions - myself included. one of my goals for 2024 is to write a novel (I've been procrastinating on this for quite a long time now). i assume that some of you might have the same goal, that's why I'm writing this post today.
over 2023 i've been releasing some freebies for authors just like me, so I thought I could compile my favorites in this post. hope you find this useful :)
1) the writer's workbook
Tumblr media
this workbook has over 60 exercises to help you develop characters, scenarios, etc. if you're ever stuck, I'm pretty sure this workbook will be your best friend.
2) author's corner (notion template)
Tumblr media
this is the most downloaded freebie in my shop! it is a notion dashboard with everything you need to organize your writing and has some templates included (like scrivener)!!
3) another notion template
Tumblr media
this one has two themes you can choose from: cottage-core and dark academia. they're very similar to the previous template, but this one is more recent and I added some new features. feel free to explore both and pick the one you like the most.
4) the author's journal
Tumblr media
this is a cute printable with 20 pages that will help you stay on track and manage your social media accounts as a writer who shares their work online. you can also register what you're currently writing and your personal research and resources.
5) plan your book printable
Tumblr media
this is a 6-page printable for you to fill out and plan your book easily and effectively.
6) excel sheet to organize tasks & word-count
Tumblr media
this is a simple excel sheet, but it is very effective for keeping track of your tasks & word-count of your novels. also, it is 100% customizable to your liking!
that's all for now! feel free to explore my gumroad shop where I have plenty of freebies to grab! also, don't forget to subscribe so that you never miss any opportunity to get a goodie for free :)
hope this post was useful!

EdTech Thought (4:39)
While the notion of banning cell phones in schools might seem appealing due to concerns over distraction and misuse, it is worth considering the multitude of benefits these devices can offer in enhancing the learning environment. Cell phones can be exceptional educational tools, offering students access to a plethora of online resources, apps, and e-books, thus expanding their learning beyond traditional textbooks.
In today's digital age, early exposure to technology through cell phones can cultivate technological literacy in students, preparing them for future opportunities. Additionally, cell phones can provide an essential bridge across the digital divide for students who lack access to computers or tablets at home, promoting a more inclusive and equitable learning environment.
In the event of emergencies, cell phones offer an immediate communication channel, ensuring safety. They can also be instrumental in teaching students about autonomy, responsibility, and digital etiquette. Moreover, they have the potential to revolutionize teaching methods, as educators can incorporate interactive activities accessible via students' devices, promoting active engagement.
While these benefits are significant, it's crucial to foster a disciplined and respectful usage of cell phones within the school environment. Rather than imposing an outright ban, schools could develop a comprehensive cell phone policy, focusing on teaching students how to use their devices effectively and responsibly.

At the end of the school year, teachers should take a few key steps to clean up their Google Classroom to ensure a smooth transition to the next academic year.
Archive Classes: Once a class is over, you should archive it to keep your dashboard organized. Archived classes are still accessible for reference, but they don't appear in your active class list.
Return All Work: Ensure all assignments have been graded and returned to students. This allows students to view their grades and feedback even after the class is archived.
Download and Save Important Data: If there are important materials, grades, or student submissions you want to keep, make sure to download and save them elsewhere before archiving the class.
Remove Old Class Materials: Clear out any unnecessary posts, assignments, or materials from the class page. This will make it easier to navigate in the future.
Communicate with Students: Let students know when you plan to archive the class so they can download any materials or grades they want to keep.
Plan for the Next Year: Consider what worked well and what didn't this year. Start preparing for the next year by setting up new classes, reusing posts or assignments, and updating your course material as necessary.
Following these steps will not only make your Google Classroom more manageable, but it will also set you up for success in the upcoming school year.
