Today I struggled a bit more with staying focused while watching the recorded lectures, but it was mostly due to the professor jumping back and forth while speaking. I still managed to do everything I was supposed to, without buring too many energies. I am reading way less than I normally do, and I am not sure whether it's the book I am reading or the fact that I have yet to find a new balanced routine.
Productivity:
watched and took notes of three new lectures of my history of libraries and reading class
highlighted said notes
checked again for online materials for two other classes and there's still absolutely nothing which is not promising
practiced Irish on duolingo
wrote a letter to my penpal and sent it
planned when to watch the remaining lectures, and by the end of next week I should be all done which is way better than I anticipated
Self care:
slept until 7.30
read first thing in the morning
skin care
journaled for a bit (I didn't write much but I did, which still counts as a win)

Today was good.
microbiology lecture was interesting, we learnt about Complement ( antigen antibody complement)
Surgery clinics have started and we are just having lectures this week on history taking and special symptoms so it's chill , the teachers are nice.
Patho lecture was boring af.
Patho practicals were okay
I came home and had snacks and started studying

Went for a run , honestly it feels amazing. From not being able to run for even 40 sec straight to running for 5 mins without stopping, it def sounds less, but for me it's a really big thing cause I'm finally making actual effort to do some physical activity with the little time I get .
Now I'll probably do some micro reading of what was taught today .

you need to rest as much time as the one you spend working, in the end everything is about balance
never leave any task to the last moment. start doing a task when it’s assigned and start studying the same day the teacher explains you a topic. this will avoid stress in the long term
don’t get involved in any drama, just focus on your studies and if something bad happens keep it private
organisation is key, so have a planner always with you and find your own organisation method
active recall methods are extremely useful if you want to memorise something easily and keep it in your long term memory. my favourites are explaining a topic in your own words and testing yourself
for being productive you don’t need to do six hours-long study sessions, it’s much better to work little by little
reading can help you to improve your reading comprehension, creativity, writing skills and concentration, so always have a book with you
keep your space cleaned and organised, it will help you to focus
have a sleep schedule, rest is key for being able to do your homework correctly
try to romanticise everything a little bit: have cute stationery and a pretty work space, study at a library or a cafe, wear your favourite outfits and accessories, etc. it will make everything much more fun
good grades don’t make you a good student, but perseverance does
make sure you have a hobby so you can relax yet continue learning and developing skills
be curious about everything, that will help you make your least favourite classes more pleasant
don’t stress yourself out because of an exam. it’s important to have good grades, but one bad grade won’t have a big impact on your future

Today was a studying in the kitchen kind of day.
18|03|2023
Today was less productive than it might seem, but I am still pretty tired for some reason. In the morning I went to help my brother in the store, but there weren't lots of people so we ended up playing cards between custumers. In the afternoon my goal was mainly to plan a little bit the weeks ahead, since I have an exam coming up at the very beginning of April. I also started my first review of the notes I took, but I just did a little bit. I again didn't journal even though I know I should get back to it, but my mental brain just wasn't there. Instead I started to work on the April spreads in my bullet journal. It's something that I find very relaxing, and that helped a lot.
Productivity:
worked in the morning
posted this update for the jumbo reading challenge
booked my history of libraries and reading exam
started rereading my notes
worked on my bullet journal
did a bit of study planning
practiced Irish on duolingo
continued to listen to the audiobook of Peter Pan

Os últimos sete meses têm sido um tanto desafiadores. No início do tratamento foi complicado digerir tudo o que estava acontecendo, mais difícil ainda foi encontrar um lado positivo na situação.
Uma vez alguém me disse que o ensinamento com o amor é o melhor caminho, mas que a dor também pode ser uma professora muita eficaz. Por mais que machuque, ela vai lá no fundo e te faz repensar uma porção de coisas.
Cuidar da minha saúde mental não está sendo fácil, mas estou tão dedicada à isso que, atualmente, até consigo encontrar um lado positivo no processo. Estou organizando os meus sentimentos, aprendendo mais sobre mim mesma, priorizando o meu bem-estar, encontrando soluções mais saudáveis para as minhas crises e me tratando com mais carinho.
Minha saúde mental quebrou, mas não me sinto fraca por conta disso. Na verdade, me sinto muito forte! Estou juntando os caquinhos e resignificando a minha ansiedade e melancolia. Estou me esforçando, cuidando do meu corpo e mente, sendo responsável e comprometida com a minha saúde. No fim das contas, estou orgulhosa de mim mesma.
Ah, também sou muito grata pelo apoio e ajuda da minha família e amigos próximos.
Gostaria de lembrar que, se você está passando por um período difícil, não sinta vergonha de assumir e de pedir ajuda.
Procure um profissional de saúde, faça o tratamento, converse com um terapeuta, não importa a velocidade e os resultados, o importante é a constância e o processo. Com o tempo as melhoria são perceptíveis. Só não desista. Saúde mental é coisa séria.

100 days of productivity⏳🎧
i kind of want to try this out since i struggle a lot of the time staying on track. i’m going to try to keep it consecutive but if i miss a few days i’m not going to beat myself up.
here are my goals:
school
going to bed and waking up earlier— i’m always yawning and tired in class, so i want to have more attention
getting homework done— i procrastinate a lot and i’m not using all the time i can in between classes to get my work done
speaking up— there are a lot of things i complain about for my school, so i want to start actually doing something about them (i’ll probably do this through clubs)
i think the biggest thing is my studying habits. i’m used to not having to study in advance, so i need to start making time for it before it’s too late and i have to cram.
volunteering
this is also a part of school, but i want to kind of treat it separately because it’s important to me. i need to get my hours and i want to help whoever i can in ways that actually matter to me, not just whatever’s available.
spending my free time
i’ve been making time for my hobbies and i want to keep it up.
i’m already crocheting and reading a lot
i want to embroider again and i have a redbubble account that i want to build up
i want to try clay crafts (maybe candle making too??), to learn another language, and to learn the piano
family & friends
i realized how little i actually go out with my friends and i want to change that. i also want to spend more time going out or doing things as a family too.
health/hygiene
shorter showers
less screen time
remembering to change my sheets & towels
laundryyy— no more piles
i kind of forgot about my retainers (i might need an appointment)
my nails need help
take my vitamins and allergy medicine
drink water
don’t let the junk food build up
at least do a stretch every day, try to exercise more
religion
pray on time— i’ve been forgetting to wake up for fajr a lot
the little things— thasbih and dua don’t take long at all
read Quran every day
just remembering Allah constantly and making Him a bigger part of my life
