This movie is hilarious. It's on Amazon free with ads, but I got the DVD. This movie has everything: Vampires with machine guns. Multiple actors from Doctor Who/Torchwood. An old lady vampire who knits. Cannibals... It's not even "so bad it's good." I'd say it's genuinely good. Weird, dark humor.

English doesn't have as many gendered words as other languages, but it does have some, mostly borrowed from French. If you are engaged to a woman, she's your fiancée, but if you're engaged to a man, he's your fiancé. A woman with fair hair is a blonde, while a man with fair hair is a blond. A woman with brown hair is a brunette, while a man with brown hair is technically a brunet. However, that word is rarely used. We usually just say he's a man with brown hair.

Why do I bring this up? Because I've been reading a bunch of fan fiction and Steve Rogers isn't a blonde, and Bucky Barnes and Matt Murdock aren't brunettes, and not one of them will ever be someone's fiancée. They're all men.

It's a small thing, I know, but stuff like that takes me out of otherwise well crafted narratives. And it's likely that the authors just don't know. Maybe no one ever taught them the difference. So, now you know.
