Tony perry x reader
Warning: argument.
Note:I realize this is similar to another tony perry imagine I did, but I get inspired from prompts or requests, and I don't have any requests right now. Also, I base somethings off of myself. Like the whole never going to the fair or anything is based off myself.
Your pov
Me and tony have been walking around the carnival all day, i found it incredibly fun, I never got to experience the carnival or fair as a kid. "Thank you turtle" I say, holding my icecream cone that he had insisted on paying for.
"No problem darling" he says as he pecks my lips. "I've gotta go to the bathroom, you gonna roam around or wait?"
"I'll wait" I say as I lean against the wall, next to the bathrooms. A man starts to approach me, i think nothing of it, I meet fans all the time.
"Hey, you y/n," he asks, his voice sounding intimating.
"Yeah! Are you a fan?" I ask, this guy is towering over me, and it's starting to scare me a bit.
"No. I'm the opposite, you aren't even good enough for that boyfriend you have" he says, I roll my eyes, I get told that everyday on the internet. I feel Tony's hands on my waist.
"The fuck did you say?" Tony asks, his eyes filled with anger.
"I was tellin that bitch the truth" the man responded, tony wasn't pleased, nor was be impressed.
"Don't ever, and I mean ever talk to her like that again. Matter of fact don't even talk to her you fucker" Tony glares as the man as we walk off hand in hand.
"It really wasn't that bad tony" I say as we walk his hand firmly holding mine. "He want even original with it" I try to reassure him.
"What do you mean he wasn't original with it? Does this happen often?" He asks, his face washes over with worry.
"Well not in real life no. On the internet yes, but I chose a job in the public eye, it'd my fault, it comes with the job." I say and squeeze his hand slightly in a loving way.
"Y/n why didn't you tell me?" He asks as we make it back to the car.
I shrug, "I guess I didn't think it was important" Tony opens the door for me and I get in. He gets in the drivers side.
"It is important, and I know your going to ask why so I'll just tell you. It'd important because I hate to see the person I love so very much get insulted, bullied" he pauses "I'm not mad at you or anything like that, I just want you to know that anything to do with you is important to me" he finishes off his statement. He places a han don the side of my face and gently kisses me.
"Thank you" I whisper, and we drive home.

The Hell Tour - 2. Fresno
Part 2 of the Hell Tour, Vic Fuentes fanfic. Remember this does take place during the World Tour that was PTV and SWS. Mike F, I know has had sexual allegations against him in recent years. Honestly, I don't know what the outcome of those allegations were, but I know that he is no longer in the band. I just wanted to warn that he will be a part of this story as he was a member of the band at that time, but I am rewriting/editing the chapters as I post, so there won't be as much of him in future chapters. That's all I got for now. Other warnings is there is some curse words, but that's about it.
Enjoy!
Words: 2460

Kristi pulled into the back lot of the Woodward Amphitheater. It was quite a drive from Los Angeles. At least to her. Just the day before she as well as three other photographers had a two hour meeting about the do's and don'ts of tour life. She also got her all-access laminated pass that was now dangling around her rearview mirror. The bands' tour buses were already there and there were people scattered about the parking lot. Some people were just chilling outside of their buses while some were hustling around getting stuff ready for the show.
Kristi turned towards the passenger seat and gently shook the girl who was reclined back, sleeping.
"W-what?" A girl of 23 with the lightest of brown eyes, freckled cheeks and hair that was half white and half black, stuttered. Her eyes fluttered as she tried to make up the environment around her. "Are we here already?" She asked, stretching her arms and legs as much as she could in Kristi's Corolla and stiffed back a yawn.
"Yeah. Guess we should see if Zack and uh..." Kristi paused to think.
"Jake." The girl said. Kristi laughed.
"Yeah, Jake! We should see if they got here yet. Also, I think I need to charge up one of my cameras. I'm not sure I charged it last night."
The girl, whose name was Amanda, nodded and reached into the backseat of the car to get two camera luggage bags.
"Same here, let's go."
-------
Kristi and Amanda wandered the grounds, snapping pictures of the roadies. Some stopped to pose and make silly faces whilst others just went on without even noticing the girls. They had eventually found the other photographers, exchanged a few words, and then went to prepare themselves for the start of the show. The guys were going to snap the two opening bands, Amanda was going to take care of Sleeping with Sirens and Kristi was going to close out the show with Pierce the Veil. It was part of their contract that since there were four bands and four photographers, only one could take a band each. They still had to leave room for local newspaper or blog photographers and other media. They had decided to alternate each night on who got which band and since Kristi was made the Head Photo, she got dibs on PTV tonight.
"Girl... I'm nervous as hell. I've done some band stuff before, but never anything like this." Amanda said as they stood around backstage during an intermission. SWS was about to go in 10 minutes and Kristi was feeling a little nerve wrecked herself. She hadn't spoken one word to Kellin since the night she had called him nor had she seen him wandering around the venue. She sure didn't want to run into him before his show and make him angry.
Actually, she didn’t want to run into him AT ALL.
"Hey, it's fine. You just stand right up there by security, take a few shots, do some backstage and some from above. It's not that hard. You don't even have to do the whole show. You just need enough." Kristi consoled Amanda. They had already gotten to know a bit during text prior to meeting in person for the first time the day before. The people who had selected them as the photographers had been pretty adamant about them getting to know one another and getting along.
“We expect there to be drama as it does come with being on a tour, especially one as big as this one, but we expect that the individuals in their group get along at almost all times.” The words from yesterday’s meeting rang through her head.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just don't know if I could do it with all the yelling and shit. Do you see those fangirls??" Amanda and Kristi looked towards the packed theater of people. Kristi shivered at the thought of going into that crowd.
"Don't let those kids make you nervous. You got this!" Kristi said with a sincere smile.
"Wish me luck." Amanda said as some guy running around backstage called out 2 minutes.
"Good luck!" Kristi said as her new friend disappeared to go down to the front of the stage. Kristi made a dash towards one of the dressing rooms to avoid Kellin. Once there, she sat on one of the soft ratty couches and watched as SWS performed on the small TV screen that was on top of the vanity. She had to admit, Kellin was good. He was a very good singer and she couldn't believe this side of him. All she ever knew was the Douchebag Side of him and not this Charismatic performing side that he showed on stage.
Close to the end of their time slot, a sweaty Amanda dashed into the dressing room.
"Fuckin' WOW!" she exclaimed as she removed her camera from around her neck. She began to look through her shots immediately and showed some to Kristi as she talked rapidly about how amazing the band was. "A-and then, Kellin! Just look! SEE! He looked right at the camera and SNAP!! Caught him in action!" Amanda squealed and pulled her camera into a hug. "I love my job."
"Same here, buddy." Kristi sighed just as a crewman stuck his head into the room.
"Pierce goes on at 8. Ready?" he asked. Kristi nodded at him and then he scurried away.
Kristi grabbed her camera from the camera bag and swung the camera strap around her neck. She stuck two different lenses into the pockets of her hoodie and gave Amanda a thumbs up before heading off to the stage.
"Have fun!" she heard Amanda call out to her.
Kristi made her way backstage, flashing her laminated badge at security and random bodies who asked to see it. She showed it one more time to one of the body guards that was in front of the stage. He nodded at her and let her pass by. The space between the stage and the fans was only about five feet wide and already there were four other local photographers occupying the space. She smiled and waved at them. She turned to face the crowd and they were going absolutely insane.
She took several pictures of some of the girls and boys in front of her. They looked like hell, sweating and tired from standing for hours, but the smiles on their faces were priceless. They started chanting PTV as their clock neared 8.
Finally, the lights dimmed and a heavy white sheet with the floating girl off PTV's third album fell to the ground showing off the now Pierce the Veil themed stage. Kristi prepared her camera just as the bassist, Jaime, came jumping onto the stage and the first notes of May These Noises Startle You.... began.
Tony joined him after a few seconds and then Mike went to sit behind his drum set. After a suspenseful minute, Vic Fuentes came onto the stage and Kristi almost went deaf from the screaming and crying behind her.
Kristi did her best to keep up with the band members as they played through their set. She was definitely working a sweat as she went from the front of the stage to the back of the crowd to the top of the venue and backstage and then back to the front of the stage. Of course, she sang along with the crowd. She was a big fan of the band and now she was going to be photographing them through an entire tour. It was most definitely a dream come true.
PTV was in the midst of Bulletproof Love when she went to stand directly in front of the stage. She aimed her camera up to get a floor shot of Vic and it was in that moment that he bent down to sing into her lens. She could smell his cologne and sweet sweat off him from his closeness and she admitted to fangirling internally as she took multiple shots of him singing directly into her camera. When she had enough, she lowered her camera and looked up into his face and everything stopped.
Vic looked at Kristi, his guitar dangling off his neck and his microphone at his mouth, but he had stopped playing and his throat closed up in the middle of a lyric as he stared deep into Kristi's eyes.
Kristi smiled shyly at him and then turned away to get back to the dressing room.
"VIC!" Jaime said, concern for his friend dripping heavily in his tone. He inched his way to the singer, but Vic held a hand up to stop him from continuing forward. "Whoa, are you okay?"
"Y-yeah" Vic stuttered. Kristi turned back to see that Vic had followed her with his eyes as she disappeared into the crowd at the side of the stage. "I think it's just the nerves." Vic broke his gaze as Kristi turned around a corner, but she could still hear him as he composed himself. "Alright, sorry about that folks... Now... WHERE WERE WE?"
==================
Kristi and Amanda trudged slowly to Kristi's car after the show closed out and everyone was almost gone. Amanda was carrying five camera bags and Kristi was carrying five more.
"I can look these over in the morning on our way to the next city. I think I'm too tired tonight." Amanda croaked as they arrived at the car. Kristi unlocked the car and they tossed the bags into the backseat.
"Yeah. I'm gonna head directly to the shower as soon as we get to our hotel." Kristi stated as she opened up her car door.
"Fuck ye---"
"Kristi!" a loud voice hollered in their direction, startling Amanda in the midst of her sentence. Amanda darted her eyes between Kellin and Kristi, confusion written all over her face. Kristi mouthed an It’s okay, I got this.
Amanda quickly got into the passenger seat already inputting her headphones in her ears as Kellin jogged up to the car. Kristi stiffened up and held her breath a little before Kellin stopped two feet away from her. He was fuming. He was red in the face, she couldn't tell if from running to her or because he was so mad, but by the looks of his furrowed brows and sour face, he was pissed.
"What do you wa---"
"What the fuck was that?!" Kellin exclaimed without giving Kristi a chance to speak. She looked at him, confused.
"What?" she asked with a cock of her head. "What are you talking about?"
"You fucking him or something?!" Kellin suddenly accused. This made Kristi step back and hold herself against her car.
"Kellin, you need to calm down and tell me what the hell you're talking about." Kristi said as calmly as possible, but he wasn't having it.
"Vic! I'm talking about Vic!" he screamed, almost for the whole world to hear. His hand gestures were just as energetic as the ones he did on stage and Amanda wondered if he was just pulling her leg, but Kellin didn’t joke… at least, not with her.
"Vic? Why would I be sleeping with him? I don't even know the guy, asshole!" Kristi said, her voice suddenly high pitched from false accusation.
"You sure about that? Whatever the fuck just happened during their perfomance didn’t look like nothing."
Kristi laughed slowly, trying to refrain from cackling in her brother’s face. This only made Kellin angrier.
"God, you are so paranoid, aren't you, Kellin?" she asked. "Get over yourself. I don't know the damn guy and I don't know why he stopped... Didn’t you hear him? It was nerves." Kristi shrugged him off and put a leg into her car to get in.
"Fuck you, Kristi! Why are you such a bitch?" Kellin said, stopping her from putting her entire body in the car.
Kristi took a second to check on Amanda. She was looking lost and confused, oblivious to what was going on with her headphones on nearly full blast, no idea that Kellin was her brother. She gave Kristi a quick, sad smile and pretended to do something interesting on her phone. Kristi stepped out of her car and slammed the door to save Amanda from hearing anything that was about to be said in the case that she was able to hear through her music.
"I don't know what the fuck your problem is, Kellin, but honestly, I don't think you're mad at me. I think you're mad at Dad. So you need to stop being fucking childish and hunting me down and accusing me of fucking band members I don't even know and do your job! I'm here to do mine so you do yours." She yelled at him. Her body was hot with rage, sweat was starting to come down her forehead, and she felt like any more accusations might really make her take a jab at Kellin.
"You think you're so special, don't ya, Kristi?" Kellin started as he paced side to side, his fists clenching at his sides. "You're nothing but trouble."
"Oh! I'm trouble, aren't I?" Kristi asked. "No! You're just an asshole! I've done nothing but try to be nice to you, but ever since Dad told you about me, you've had it out for me and you've made my life fuckin' hell!
"I only wanted a sister and brother to love and hang out with. Kailee was okay with it. But not poor little Kellin! Because of you, I don't even know anyone on Dad's side of the family. Kailee was so nice to invite me to her wedding, even make me a bridesmaid, but once you got your chime in, I was disinvited. I wasn't invited to your gorgeous wedding on the beach. Kate was nice enough to send photos though and don’t even get me started on you keeping my niece from knowing me. You won't even let me see her not even once!
"Why? Because I'm Dad's bastard child? Get the fuck over it Kellin! We are in our 20's and it's been 15 damn years of nothing but hate! If your mom can accept it and accept me, then so can you!"
Kellin stayed silent and then suddenly turned his back to Kristi. It wasn't something she expected. She expected him to yell back at her, but he didn't. He only began walking away. Kristi watched him, but she was still hyped up from her rant. When he was still within earshot, she yelled out his name.
He turned around.
"Even if I did fuck Vic, I can fuck whomever I want!!" she called out, but he didn't say anything. Only kept walking.

Maximoff Industries, run by the most respected woman in all of New York, of course her recent divorce was publicized and her children were also thrown into the limelight, which made having a private life extremely difficult for her and her family. But one thing she never expected to happen was meeting her secretary's room mate and best friend.
"Who is this?" Wanda asked as she spotted the taller woman standing beside Natasha.
"This is Y/N, my bestie." Nat smiled as she introduced the two.
"It's nice to meet you." Y/N held her hand out for the brunette to shake. "You also look better as a brunette, the red didn't suit you."
"Thank you." Wanda smiled as she shook her hand. "It was my ex who preferred the red."
"Well, he is clearly stupid." Y/N smiled as Nat watched the two. "I have to go back to work." She told them both with a smile, Wanda watched as Y/N disappeared down the hall, biting her lip before she turned to Nat.
"Does she work here?" Wanda asked her as Nat shook her head.
"She had an interview with Peggy in Finances for the assistant supervisor." Nat informed her.
"Can you ask Peggy to see me in my office please." Wanda told her. "Immediately." She entered her office, only waiting a moment before there was a knock on her door.
"You wanted to see me ma'am?" Peggy spoke as she opened the door.
"The interviews from today, who is the highest contender?" Wanda asked as she looked over the schedule she had received.
"There are two who would be extremely beneficial to the company." She started. "Pepper Potts, she is fresh from being Tony Stark's assistant." Wanda shook her head no. "And there is Y/N Y/L/N, she worked closely with Norman Osborn at Oscorp."
"Y/L/N is the obvious option." Wanda stated. "Hire her." She told her as she didn't want to hire her ex brother-in-law's assistant. So the following Monday, Y/N had carpooled with Nat to work, and the two made their way up to Wanda's office. Y/N sat waiting for Ms Maximoff to arrive as Nat started to get to work, sorting through Wanda's schedule for the day.
"Y/N, follow me." Wanda told her as she walked past the two. Y/N was fast on her heels, closing the office door behind her. "I will need you to fill out these forms for me, give Nat your I.D. so she can make photocopies for our company files." Y/N nodded as Wanda spoke. "Also, you and I will be working closely together as you will soon be taking over for Miss Carter, she is retiring soon and I need a fully qualified CFO."
"Yes ma'am." Y/N nodded as she took the forms from her hands.
"I will need the forms back at the end of the day." She told her. "And please call me Wanda."
"Of course Wanda." Y/N smiled as she gazed at Wanda intensely before leaving. Wanda couldn't understand the way she made her feel. She had never really looked at another woman like this before, she didn't even know it was possible since she was forced to marry her Ex by her parents or they would have disowned her. Of course with their passing, she had built up the courage to get out of her marriage as she ran the family business.
As the days turned to weeks, Wanda found herself working late on some days, Y/N was always the one who stayed with her, working on strategy plans to keep some of the company deals that they were at risk of losing.
"Do you want a drink?" Wanda asked Y/N who only hummed a quiet yes, going over the information she had before her eyes.
"I think we need to let go of some employees." Y/N told her. "Cut back by one or two in each department. We can split the work between the remaining employees accordingly."
"I don't want to talk about that right now." Wanda groaned as she took a seat beside Y/N, handing her a glass of bourbon.
"I didn't know you were a hard spirit kind of woman." Y/N teased her, watching as Wanda leaned on the back of the sofa. Observing Y/N's movements as she came up with a viable strategy for the company's future.
"How are you single?" Wanda questioned as she watched Y/N intently, the pen between her teeth as she turned to meet Wanda's gaze.
"I guess I never really found the one." Y/N shrugged. "My ex hated my dedication to my previous job, so she left me. Well, I caught her with my old friend."
"I'm sorry that happened to you." Wanda spoke softly as Y/N shrugged.
"It's ok." She smiled as she sipped her drink. "Love isn't for everyone."
"I think it is." Wanda spoke as she placed her glass down. "There is someone out there for each of us, it's just that we don't usually see what's right in front of us."
"And what do you see?" Y/N asked as Wanda inhaled deeply.
"You." She spoke as Y/N's eyes darkened as she gazed at Wanda's flushed chest, rising and falling rapidly. "A woman with strong arms and anyone would be lucky to have you. To just be in your embrace for the rest of their life."
"Is that what you want?" Y/N asked as she leaned in slightly.
"I don't know what I want." Wanda whispered, her underwear becoming damp with her arousal. "But I know what I need." With that she closed the gap, taking Y/N's lips on her own, her hands resting on Y/N's shoulders as she moved to straddle Y/N's lap. Her hands instantly held Wanda's waist before her hands ventured up her spine, holding her close as the kiss deepened. Neither of them were drunk enough for this to be known as a drunken mistake, all they both knew was they needed each other.
Y/N lay Wanda down on the sofa, unbuttoning her blouse as she kissed her passionately, their tongues dancing together as Y/N took all control. Wanda became a panting mess as Y/N's hand ventured under her skirt, pushing her underwear aside as her fingers ran through her folds, collecting the arousal before she made tentative movements on her clit.
"Fuck." Wanda gasped as Y/N moved her kisses down, taking a nipple in her mouth as Wanda arched her back, needing more than she was getting at this moment. "More. Please." She whined. "I need more."
Y/N complied as she plunged two fingers deep inside her, watching how Wanda's face changed due to the pleasure she was receiving. Y/N's name falling from her lips as she came undone, a panting mess as she soon calmed down.
"You taste so fine." Y/N smiled as she pulled her fingers from her mouth before kissing Wanda hard.
The next day, the two needed to set boundaries, so that was what they had done in the privacy of Wanda's office.
"We can't be anything more." Wanda told her as she sat in her chair. "I've just gotten through a messy divorce and I have two boys."
"I can be mature and just have fun Wanda." Y/N smirked as Wanda chuckled. "Besides, I am not going to blur the lines, I can keep my emotions in check."
Well, the two of them thought that was the case as what started out as quickies in the office turned into Wanda staying over at Y/N's and sneaking out before Nat woke up.
"We can't keep doing this." Wanda whispered as Y/N locked the office door before approaching her. A solemn look on her face at the realisation of the feelings the two share.
"Wanda." She started as she took Wanda's hands on her own. "We can do this." She held them close to her chest as Wanda closed her eyes, allowing Y/N to pull her closer. "I don't care that you have children or an ex husband. I know I will always be third."
"Second." Wanda corrected her. "It will be my children and then you."
"I thought the company." Y/N started as Wanda shook her head. A small smile on her lips.
"You will always come before the company." Wanda caressed her cheek as Y/N smiled, leaning down and claiming her lips with her own. Her hands soon wrapped around Wanda's waist, pulling her impossibly closer, causing a moan to escape Wanda as she felt the toy concealed within the confines of Y/N's dress pants. "Fuck, are you packing?" She questioned with a raised brow as Y/N just smirked, her hands trailing along Wanda's waist, pulling her blouse out of her skirt. Wanda's hands started to undo Y/N's blouse as they sloppily kissed roughly. Y/N had Wanda on her knees in no time, groaning at the sight of her red painted lips around the silicone toy.
"Fuck. You look so pretty on your knees for me." Y/N groaned as she gripped Wanda's hair, thrusting her hips into Wanda's face. "The great Wanda Maximoff on her knees, my little cock slut." Wanda moaned at her words, her cheeks flushed and her arousal dripping down her thighs. She whimpered as Y/N pulled her hair, pulling her away from the strap, the saliva leaving a string behind as Y/N brought her to her feet. "Face the window." Y/N ordered as Wanda was quick to do as she told. Spreading her legs as she looked over the busy city below, people rushed to and from lunch breaks as she stood bare against the cool glass. Her nipplea hardened against the glass as she moaned as Y/N slapped her ass before massaging it. "Such a good girl." Y/N bit her ear as she teased her with the strap. "Give everyone a good show, I want everyone to see how good I make you feel." Wanda moaned as the toy slipped past her entrance, Y/N's hands on her hips helping her remain steady as her hands were flat against the glass.
"Oh." Wanda moaned as Y/N snapped her hips, the toy moving out and leaving just the tip inside before thrusting harshly once more.
"Keep your eyes open." Y/N told her as she groaned, fastening her pace as she fucked her. The sound of Wanda's moans and the squelching of her arousal was music to her ears, her now favorite song. "Fuck. You take me so well Wanda." She went harder with each thrust, her fingertips bruising the skin on Wanda's hips. Neither caring for the people in the neighbouring skyscraper having a show. "You have no idea what you do to me." She groaned as she pressed her body up against Wanda's. The heat building between the two as Wanda's orgasm neared.
"I need to cum." Wanda whispered as Y/N grunted at her small tone. "Please let me cum." She pleaded as Y/N's head moved into her neck, licking and biting the skin.
"Let go for me." She whispered as she pressed tender kisses to Wanda's skin. A loud moan left her lips as she came, just in time for her machine to pick up a call.
"Miss Maximoff, the twins school had called, they need to see you asap."
"Fuck." Wanda whimpered as Y/N pulled out, Wanda was quick to gather her clothes, throwing Y/N a blouse, not bothering to see who's it was. "I have to go." Wanda said as she fixed her hair. "But I need you to stay here." She reached inside her desk drawer, a set of handcuffs as she pushed Y/N to sit on her chair, putting the handcuffs on her wrist as she handcuffed her to the chair.
"What?" Y/N tried. "Wanda, what if someone walks in and sees me? I am practically nude with a strap!! And I am wearing your blouse because it is abnormally tight!!"
"Please Y/N." She pleaded as she fixed herself. "Here, I'll be back as soon as I can." She places Y/N's jacket on her lap before placing the keys on the shelf above the bourbon. Y/N groaned as she walked out, leaving Y/N alone and handcuffed to the chair.
"Fuck." Y/N mumbled as she tried to wriggle free, hoping to break the plastic arm rest. Soon giving up and counting the ceiling tiles above. As an uncertain amount of time past, Y/N was left feeling uncomfortable. Soon the phone rang and it was Wanda's voice.
"I'm so sorry Y/N, Billy had a fall and I am currently at the hospital with him." She spoke in a hushed voice. "I know I said I wouldn't be long but we are just waiting for the x-ray results. I'll see you soon." Y/N slammed her head on the desk with a tired groan, closing her eyes for a brief moment, only to look up like a deer in headlights at the sound of keys in the door.
"Oh, I am so happy to see you." Y/N smiled as she saw Nat walk in with some files.
"What are you doing here?" She questioned as she hurriedly closed the door.
"Well, Wanda and I have been having sex, for months." Y/N told her. "And we have obviously had sex earlier and now I am handcuffed to this bloody chair." Y/N gradually raised her voice as she spoke, shaking the chair with her whole body. "But." She took a breath to calm down. "The key is just above the bourbon, so if you would please uncuff me so I can get dressed."
"Y/N." Nat shook her head, an unsure look in her eye. "Wanda will be expecting you as such." She gestured to her posture. "And I can't afford to lose my job because I actually like working here. Without the sex part."
"Come on!" Y/N pleaded as she moved from around the desk, her jacket falling from her lap.
"Oh come on!" Nat covered her eyes as she spotted the arousal stained strap on. "Wheel yourself back."
"Please Nat." Y/N pleaded. "I will buy you anything."
"I need a new Nintendo Switch." She told her. "Yelena borrowed mine and we both know that I will not be getting it back."
"Sold! Now get me free." Y/N told her as Nat moved to get the key.
"So, those nights you had someone in your bedroom, that was Wanda. Our boss?" She questioned as Y/N nodded.
"Yes it was." She answered. "Now please let me out of here!" She begged. "This shirt is unbelievably tight and these cuffs are starting to hurt me."
"You and Wanda do have the same style, which is weird." Nat admitted as she approached her. "But she did look much better in a looser blouse."
"Don't you dare." Y/N snarled. "She is mine." Nat just giggled as she undone one of the cuffs, Y/N massaged their wrist before the door soon opened.
"Nat? What are you?" Wanda rambled as she looked between the two.
"I know about the two of you." Nat told her. "But please don't fire me. I can't live off of Y/N's paycheck."
"Can you sit with Billy, he's just outside at your desk." Wanda asked as Nat nodded, closing the door behind her.
"She took the key." Y/N pointed out, just a moment later, Nat opened the door slightly and handed Wanda the key. "How is Billy?" Y/N asked her as she undone the other.
"He is fine, he has a hairline fracture so nothing too serious." Wanda told her as Y/N bent down to put on her pants, soon hearing the blouse tearing causing Wanda to giggle. "I think we need to wear different blouses."
"You think?" Y/N asked with a raised brow.
"It's not my fault you are buff." Wanda squeezed her biceps as she looked up in Y/N's eyes. "But it is a bonus to have strong arms wrapped around me, making me feel safe."
"I'll always keep you safe." Y/N kissed her softly as she grabbed her jacket. "Luckily I have a spare in my office." Y/N approached the door, hand resting on the handle as Wanda spoke.
"I think I love you." She told her, a smile formed on Y/N's face before she turned around to Wanda, approaching her and kissing her softly before pulling away and looking in her eyes.
"I think I love you too." She smiled before kissing her once more before she left the office. Wanda smiled as her heart swelled at the growing love between the two of them. Love comes to us all at different times of our lives, the journey we take to find the one who makes your heartbeat rapidly and your smile grow impossibly bigger. Wanda has finally found that love in the woman who works alongside her.

You were originally ecstatic over the shot at your very first story line when Tony pitched the idea to you. You’d been in AEW for a little over a year and had been hoping that you’d get a little more substantial tv time outside of your typical matches sometime soon, so when Tony called you to his office with an idea that was brought up to him, you couldn’t agree quick enough.
That was until the person you’d be doing the storyline with walked through the door.
The coldhearted handsome devil, as he frequently gets called. Someone you were somewhat familiar with due to seeing his matches in the viewing room from time to time, or him sitting alone in catering every so often, typically with a hatred look towards the whole world on his face.
A man you never considered approaching for the simple fact that he gave the impression that he was not to be fucked with, or even smiled at, for that matter. He was the last person you’d expected Tony to bring in.
“Hook, glad you’re here again. I know we’ve already been over this but now that we have your future partner here, I wanted to give you both the rundown. Have a seat.” Tony points to the chair next to you. He steps in, a hoodie over his head shadowing his eyes that glance at you before he silently takes a seat.
He brought a sudden energy to the room with his presence, one that made you feel a tad bit uneasy. Intimidated, more so.
“Y/N, Hook is who I’m pairing you with for this storyline. It’s come to my attention that the two of you are both crowd favorites and apparently a lot of fans want to see you two together. It would be great for the ratings and for both of your character developments.”
You nodded along, wanting to look over at the man next to you to see what he thought of this, though you kept your eyes on Tony. You knew that fans liked to talk about how you and some of the talent should pair up together, and there were a lot of edits on instagram of you and certain wrestlers that they shipped, but Hook was the least of your expectations.
“I’ll be putting you both in a group chat where I’ll send you segment and promo schedules and concepts, so keep your eyes out for that. Next week, during your match with Anna, Jack Perry is going to come out with the FTW title and hand it to her, and that’s when Hook will be coming out after him. The fans will think it’s all part of their feud until he comes to your aid when Anna hits you with the title while Jack and Hook are fighting on the ramp. That’s going to be the start of the entire storyline leading up to a tagteam match between the four of you.”
You listened intently, not wanting to miss a beat of the instruction. The storyline made a lot of sense since you and Anna did have some on screen animosity to begin with, and hook and jack have been at each others throats for some time now, so you could see the relevance to having Hook as your alliance.
“I’ll be sending you both a text soon on more details.” Tony said before he excused you both from his office. Hook silently got out of his chair and headed through the door without sparing you a glance. You weren’t sure if that meant that he was displeased about the storyline or if he just collected the information and went on his way.
You decided to try to talk to him when you both got into the hallway, but quickly wished you would’ve let him keep walking.
“Hey!” You jog up to him, reaching his side. He glanced over at you for a split second before he fixated his sights ahead. He didn’t greet you back, and that alone made you feel a little uneasy, but you still attempted to make conversation.
“I know we’ve never talked before, but since we’re about to do this whole storyline together, I guess I should introduce myself and all.” You managed a nervous chuckle, but he kept a straight face.
“I’m Y/N.” You continued on, feeling your nerves start to get the better of you, which is when you start rambling, usually.
“I mean, obviously you know that now since Tony said it, but, anyway, i just wanted to break the ice a little. This is all pretty new to me. I’ve never done a story line before so-“
That’s when Hook stops in his tracks, turning to face you. His stare was cold and jaw set. He showed no emotion, nothing at all, really. The way he looked straight into your eyes made you immediately shy away from that gaze. Your eyes dropped to the gold cross sitting over his chest similar to the one you had tucked underneath your shirt that you wore as a good luck charm.
You wanted to pull it out and show him that you had one too but something told you he wouldn’t care about that at all.
You glanced back up into his eyes, the ones that were strongly fixated on you, managing to push past the nervousness he made you feel until you heard him say, “Let’s save the talking for the scripts.”
He held his eyes on you for a second longer before he turned on his heel and headed down the hallway. You didn’t bother to follow. It was clear that Hook didn’t care to make conversation with you, and he wanted to make sure you understood that.
———
You were sitting in catering with Skye and Willow, oblivious to their conversation due to the thoughts that kept swirling around in your brain. It had been a week since that very first interaction with Hook and tonight you were going to be starting the whole storyline.
Skye noticed how you barely paid attention to the conversation and decided to ask you what was going on. You had yet to tell them about the storyline since talking to Hook, or attempting to, didn’t go over so well.
“What’s going on with you?” Skye’s voice reached you, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You could’ve said it was nothing to save yourself the conversation but they were going to know about the whole storyline tonight, so you decided to spill it all.
“Tony’s giving me my first storyline.” You say, watching as a smile spreads across both of their faces before the confusion sets in.
“You don’t seem too excited?” Willow commented.
“I mean, I am, but… Well, okay, so you know how Hook and Jack Perry have that whole rivalry going on right now?”
The girls nod slowly, clearly they were still a bit confused.
“And me and Anna have a match tonight, so Jack’s going to come out and hand her the FTW title so she can knock my ass out with it,-“
“So then Hook is going to come out to save you.” Skye figured. “So is it like, an on screen dating kind of thing?”
“I don’t think so. Tony said we’ll end up teaming up against them, so I’m pretty sure it’s just alliances.”
Willow’s lips spread into a smirk before she looked down.
“Are you nervous about it or something? You’re the one who said you wished you’d get your shot at a story line and now you’re talking like you don’t want to do it.” Skye said, but you hardly heard her when the man who’s been racing through your mind came walking through the catering doors.
Willow noticed your eyes immediately finding him, following him as he headed around the perimeter of the room to take his seat in the very back.
“I think she’s nervous.” Willow grinned, clearly with insinuation but that’s when you quickly tore your eyes away from the man in question and back to them.
“No, it’s the fact that I tried to talk to him after we left Tony’s office, y’know, introduce myself and break the ice since we’re going to be working together, and he literally looked me dead in my face and told me to save the talking for the scripts.”
Both of their jaw’s dropped and Willow’s eyes cut over to the man, shooting him a look he didn’t see since he was on his phone.
“That’s fucking rude.” She said.
“Yeah, and we haven’t spoke since.”
“I mean, he kind of does look like that type of guy. He’s always by himself, always looks like someone pissed in his cheerios, maybe he’s just a dick. I’d just stick to the storyline and don’t bother with him outside of that if he’s going to have that kind of an attitude.” Skye says before she grabs her phone and stands up from the table.
“Anyway, I gotta go. I’ll be watching your match from the viewing room tonight though. You’re gonna do amazing.” She smiles before she heads out, leaving you and willow at the table.
“I agree with Skye. Just try to enjoy your first storyline despite his negative attitude.”
You nodded, then your eyes adverted over to the back of the room, for some reason you felt strongly compelled to steal a glance of him, only to find his eyes locked on you.
You felt your stomach twist suddenly and looked away immediately, but you could still feel the powerful gaze he possessed burning a hole through you, and you weren’t sure if that meant you should look back again, maybe try to go talk to him, or leave the room all together.
“Oh my God, he’s staring at me. Don’t you fucking look, Willow. Don’t make it obvious.”
Willow didn’t, but it was clear she wanted to. You could practically feel his dark eyes on you from way across the room, and you couldn’t help the way it made the pace of your heart quicken, out of the sheer nervousness that his presence hasn’t failed to make you feel.
“He’s leaving now.” Willow whispered as her eyes followed him around the room before she dropped them to the table. “He’s gone.”
————
You couldn’t help but to be nervous but you attempted to put it all aside as you clutched you ribs, lying on the canvas after Anna kicked into your side, probably a little harder than she should have. You knew what was coming as soon as Jack’s music hit and he came running down the ramp with the FTW title in hand.
You grabbed Anna’s feet before she could reach him, swiftly making her fall flat against the canvas in an attempt to protect yourself from the inevitable. That’s when Hook’s music hit and a sudden pop from the crowd made your ears ring.
He didn’t run down the ramp like Jack did, but it took him only a few seconds to get his hands on the man. Hook snatched the title and threw it to the floor before he threw a series of punches to Jack’s chest, while you and Anna were throwing punches to each other’s jaws. She was hitting you with a force that felt a little more personal than just entertainment purposes. You wondered if she meant that or not.
She grabbed your wrist and slung you against the turnbuckles, hitting your back so hard you sprung foward and fell to your knees. It was all planned, but you were taking one hell of a beating.
That’s when Hook and Jack had the referee distracted enough for Anna to grab the belt. Just as you were getting on your feet, you felt the impact against the side of your head knocking you down flat, staring up at the bright lights of the arena as she pinned you.
The three count came fast and her music rang through your ears. You laid there like you were dazed and confused and thankfully she didn’t actually hit you with it too hard. You had a little pain but nothing like it would’ve been if she would’ve intended to knock you out cold.
The crowd was booing jack and Anna both, but they roared with cheers when Hook slid under the ropes. You felt a warm hand sneak beneath your shoulder before he helped you sit up. There was no script to go off of so you weren’t sure if anything should’ve been said, but nobody would’ve heard over the thousands of screams piercing your ears.
Taz was on commentary hyping the interaction up for the added affect of the viewers watching on tv.
“I don’t know when those two became friends, but I’ll tell you one thing, Y/N has a good one in her corner. If Hook has your back, you know you’re gonna be alright. Jack and Anna better watch out now boys.”
Hook leaned down and grabbed your hand, pulling you up to your feet. The crowd was absolutely wild, and it was a reaction you really didn’t expect. He silently nodded towards the ramp as he let go of your hand. You walked ahead of him, slipping out of the ropes and making your way towards the tunnels, clutching your side and your head for the added affect.
You looked over your shoulder to find hook close behind, his eyes locked on you the second you spared a glance. Just before you reached the tunnels, you heard his voice, somehow over all the commotion around the arena.
“Wait” he caused you to turn around, now inches apart from you. Your eyes widened when you realized the closeness, before you felt his hand grab yours again and hold it up in the air, turning you towards the crowd that was on the verge of losing their minds.
He pointed at you, nodding as he took in the reactions. You were trying to soak it all in but it all had you confused. Assuming he was really good at selling, you tried to ignore the fact that his harsh words had been running through your mind for the past week, but due to that, you didn’t expect all of this.
He dropped your hand and nodded towards the tunnel, letting you lead the way. As soon as you got away from the chaos in the arena, you turned around to face him. Part of you wanted to ask why he was so rude to you last week but the other part of you was screaming for you not to.
Hook’s brows knitted together when you looked up at him. The last thing you probably should’ve been thinking about was the first one that came to mind simply because your brain did that sometimes.
He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and looked like the walking depiction of darkness with the way his hair casted over nearly half of his face. Meanwhile you had on all white ring gear coupled with white nails and the comparison must have looked nothing less than polar opposites when you stood side by side.
But then you heard him say, “Are you just gonna stand there and stare at me?”
That’s when you realized you’d just been staring up at him, feeling your cheeks immediately burn beneath your skin when he called you out for it. Hook saw the way your face flushed and a rosy tint dusted over. Then he noticed a gold cross sitting against your chest much like his own. He didn’t comment on it, obviously.
You wanted to redeem yourself but couldn’t muster words at that point and he stared down at you awaiting a response or simply for you to move out of his way, which is exactly what you did.
The second you stepped to the side, he slipped past you, brushing your shoulder on his way down the hall. You stood there with a bit of a dumbfounded look on your face as you watched him leave without sparing you another glance.
———
Another week passed by and again, you and hook hadn’t spoke, but your tagged photos on instagram were nothing but you and him from Dynamite the week prior. It was funny how many fans were going crazy for a duo that was anything but when you weren’t on cameras.
You’d looked down at your phone when it buzzed and a text from Tony came through. You were put in the group chat with a 363 area code and debated whether or not you should save him in your contacts.
The text was the instructions for a segment later on. You and hook were going to be spotted talking in the hallway. He sent the full script and with only an hour to memorize and apologized for the last minute scheduling.
You were typing back when another message popped up. It was from hook, nothing but a short and simple reply saying, “All good” meanwhile you’d typed almost a whole paragraph about how it was okay, don’t apologize and you were going to get to memorizing right now. Needless to say, you deleted that and typed back, “No problem, I’ll have them memorized.”
You then scrolled up the long message, unsure if you could actually sell this with such a short amount of study time. You didn’t want to screw up on live tv.
Your lips moved as you read over the lines. It would’ve been way easier if you could actually rehearse them with someone but clearly hook wasn’t going to be down for that and Skye and Willow both had the night off, which was the reason you were sitting alone in catering.
You tried to focus but you felt that feeling again. Eyes on you, unavailable. He was somewhere in the room and you could feel it. He was staring at you again, and you didn’t even have to find him to be able to tell that.
You couldn’t keep your mind on the script now that you knew you were being watched. You wondered why he was staring in the first place. What was his problem with you after all?
The temptations got the better of you and you finally tore your eyes from your phone, only to find him sitting directly across from you at the next table over. Like you already knew, staring.
He didn’t bother to snatch his gaze off of you. He was shameless about the way he watched you. You couldn’t help it when your nerves grabbed strong hold of you and out blurted, “Are you just gonna sit there and stare?”, loud enough for the people around to hear, earning their attention.
Hook didn’t acknowledge them. He didn’t even blink. Didn’t move a single muscle and that’s when you decided to get up and walk over to him, despite the way his dark eyes made you want to take off running.
You approached his table and took a seat directly across from him. He tilted his head back slightly and crossed his arms over his chest. His brows raised in an expectant manner and you could feel the eyes of talent all around focused on the two of you.
“Why do you keep staring at me?” You called him out the same way he did to you last week in the tunnel. He kept a stoic expression as his eyes dropped down to your phone in hand on top of the table. He decided to avoid your question to ask one of his own.
“You think you can sell that segment later?”
Caught off guard, you felt your brows knit together, looking down at your phone which served as a reminder that you needed to be studying those lines.
“I’m gonna do my best.” You answered honestly, looking back at him. “Are you not going to go over your lines?”
“I already know them.”
“The text just came in like five minutes ago.” You pointed out.
“And I already know them, and yours.” He coolly states before he grabs the bookbag from the seat next to him and stands up. “Don’t mess up.” He says before he tries to leave.
“Wait!” Your voice didn’t do you any favors when it came out a little squeakier than you intended, but it kept him there. “Can you help me go over them?”
He stared down at you, face unreadable as always. There was a pause before he said, “If I didn’t have to get ready for my match, maybe I’d consider.” Then he headed out of catering, leaving you alone at the table.
———
You headed down the hallway where you were supposed to shoot the segment. Hook was already there, leaning against the wall with his phone in hand. He had his ring gear on, a couple red marks on his chest and sweat glistening off his skin. He must have just came back from his match.
Nobody else was around yet. You slowly walked over to him and stood against the opposite wall in front of him. He finished typing something before he picked his head up and looked down at you. You did your best not to spare him a glance as you continued going over your lines.
“It’s a little late to be trying to memorize them now.” You heard him mutter.
“I think I have them memorized, actually.” You look up at him, now leaning back with arms crossed. His hair was absolutely unruly and you couldn’t help but stifle a laugh when you saw it up close. The way it was standing straight up over his head reminded you of Chicken Little.
“What?” His brows knit when he catches your reaction.
“Sorry” you shake your head and wipe the smirk off your face. “It’s your hair.”
“What about my hair?”
“It’s like, standing straight up.” You point out, watching his eyes squint at you.
“It’s hair. It does that.” He deadpanned.
“Mine never does.”
“That’s ‘cause Anna’s always pulling yours out.” He bantered back, and for the first time you thought maybe you saw his lips tip up in a smirk, but as soon as you caught it, he wiped it away.
“She is not always pulling it out. That was one time. And that was so long ago, how do you even know that?”
Silence suddenly filled the hallway. He didn’t have an answer for that and thankfully for him, the cameraman made his way around the corner just in time.
“Alright, ready?” He calls out to the both of you. You take one more quick glance at your phone before shoving it in your pocket and taking in a deep breath.
Hook pushed himself off the wall and whispered, “Don’t mess up.” Before he stood behind you, close enough that when you turned around, you had to put a little space between you.
“Action.”
“Y/N.” Hook suddenly spoke. “You can’t let anyone walk all over you in this company. It’s time for you to take control. You need to start fighting fire with fire.”
He was right when he said he had his parts memorized. It was so effortless to him. He went from one persona to the next in a matter of seconds.
You tried to hide the surprise on your face and snap into character. He eyed you skeptically, you could clearly tell he was expecting you to mess up.
“I don’t want to play dirty, Hook. That’s gonna be my karma when it comes back to bite me.” First line down, you didn’t think it was too bad.
“Or maybe Anna Jay and Jack Perry’s karma is us. Did you ever think about that?” He raised his voice and took a step foward unexpectedly, backing you against the wall. You were suddenly flustered but knew you had to force that away.
“Jack knocked me out with the same title Anna hit you with. My FTW title. They’re cornering you and you’re allowing it! What’s gonna happen when you’re in the hospital with a concussion next time and I can’t save you?”
His chest started heaving as hot breaths fanned against your skin. He was way too good at this.
“What do you want me to do, Hook? You want me to be evil like they are? That’s not me!”
A second passed and you saw the way his eyes dropped down to some other part of your face, suddenly making you self conscious about whatever caught his attention. Then, he leaned in even closer, his chest brushing against yours when he inhaled.
“If you’re gonna be with me, you have to be tougher than this. That sweet, innocent personality of yours isn’t going to get us anywhere, and I’m not gonna stand by while you let yourself get assaulted every week. It’s time to start fighting back, Y/N.”
Half of that line, you didn’t recall memorizing. It threw you off a little bit, and thanks to that, you couldn’t remember your final line. You suddenly got anxious, mouth falling open with no words coming out. Hook picked up on this, not letting too much time pass before he tried to jog your memory.
“You don’t have anything to say? You’re okay with these people tormenting us? You want them to take everything from us?”
You hoped he could hear you silently thanking him. You knew that wasn’t a line but he kept it going for the sake of embarrassing yourself.
“If you want me to fight back, then let me do it my way.” You recited, shooting him your best glare for the dramatics. “I’m not turning cold for you, but that doesn’t mean I can’t beat her ass so bad she’ll wish she never stepped foot in a ring with me.”
His lips turned upwards in the faintest hint of a smirk and this time you were certain on it before he quickly brought that straight face back for the camera and nodded his head saying his last line.
“I’m gonna hold you to that.”
“Cut”
The camera man left you and hook in the hallway. As soon as the camera wasn’t on you an enormous weight was lifted off of your shoulders, finally able to take a deep breath, but the air around quickly got suffocating all over again.
Hook didn’t move. He was still standing close enough to you that you felt pinned to the wall. He held those infamously dark eyes on you for a moment, studying you. In his mind, he didn’t see the value of having you as a partner. He couldn’t understand why he got paired with someone who looks like they’d cry the minute someone raised their voice.
You just appeared to him as a sweet, innocent person and not in the way that he intended for it to be a compliment. Sweet and innocent wasn’t his thing. He needed someone just as coldhearted and vengeful as him.
Nevertheless, he was with you now until this storyline ends and his dad told him during a conversation they had a few days prior, that he needs to look at things a little bit differently. Taz seemed to think that he needed someone like you by his side. The coldhearted handsome devil needed a conscious and in his dad’s mind, a babyface with the reputation of being a walking ray of sunshine was the angel on Hook’s shoulder.
He carefully considered his dad’s perspective, but then aroused ideas of his own. A concept that he pitched to Tony that you had no idea what was coming. Plans to take your squeaky clean image and transform it into something greater, something more complimentary to himself.
You eyed him, swallowing past a thick lump accumulating in your throat before you managed to speak in a voice almost weary.
“Why are you staring at me like that?”
Hook’s head tilted to the side, as if he was intrigued by the simple question. Your wide eyes reminded him of a skittish puppy ready to bolt, and he was surprised you haven’t yet.
“I thought you had your lines memorized?” He countered your question.
“I did, until you decided to improvise.” You quickly blurted, feeling like you exaggerated that defense. His brows raised slightly from beneath the thick hair against his forehead before he took a step back, putting space between you for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
“See you next week.” He muttered before he disappeared around the corner.
———
Two nights later, as you got cozy in bed, just about to doze off, your phone buzzed with a text from that same area code you recognized as Hook.
“been talking to my dad. you need to learn redrum. im in the hotel gym”
You glanced at the time, nearly baffled when you realized it was one-thirty in the morning. You texted back a quick reply.
“Right now? This can’t wait until tomorrow? And why do I need to learn your moves? I have moves of my own.”
You stared at the message until the delivered turned into read at 1:32 and locked your phone until he texted back.
“im going to bed at 2”
You stared at that simple little message and knew it was basically him not giving much of an option. You huffed as you slid out of bed, never minding to change out of your sweatpants or do anything with yourself for that matter. It was almost two in the morning. You should be asleep.
The elevators brought you down to the first floor. You headed across the lobby towards the gym. You could hear the sound of a punching bag being hit three times each even through the closed door.
You walked in, to your surprise finding Hook and Taz both. Taz was keeping the punching bag steady while Hook threw his fists into it, but that came to an abrupt halt when taz spotted you first.
“Ah, there she is.” His voice echoed through the empty room. “Didn’t think you’d actually show.” He chuckled, turning to his son. “Tyler and I have been talking about that upcoming tagteam match between you and the goofballs, we think if the crowd saw a double redrum they’d go nuts.”
You glanced at hook, now with the new knowledge that his name was actually Tyler, and for some reason that’s all that registered in that moment. He was looking at his dad, not even sparing a glance in your direction until Taz gave him a strong pat on his bare back and said, “I’ll leave you to it son. Your mother’s waiting for me.”
You held the door open to let him through, offering a faint smile. Taz stopped before he left the room, looking over his shoulder at his son, “Polite too” he commented, and you weren’t sure what that was supposed to mean but didn’t ask either. “Don’t hurt him too bad.” He muttered with an amused grin before he headed out.
You closed the door and stepped a little farther in the room. Taz seemed to have taken that lighthearted energy with him when he left because once again, the air was thick. It felt hot and heavy in your lungs and it made no sense to you why that was always the case when you were around him.
He stood at the front of the room with his hands on his hips. He looked like he’d been at it for hours what with the way his cheeks were bright red and sweat was covering every visible inch of his body, and drenching his hair.
“Do you always work out at two in the morning?” You asked as you drew a little closer, feeling like you were physically walking on eggshells.
“I go to sleep at two.” He replied, rather breathlessly. His eyes adverted down to your t-shirt and sweats, and the fuzzy slippers you put on before you left the hotel room. “Apparently you do too.”
“I was almost asleep when you texted.” You defended yourself and your cozy loungewear. “I’m not going to throw on a whole outfit just to come down to the gym.”
“Real shoes either.” He countered.
You looked down at the slippers and then back up at him. “They’re comfy. I don’t care.”
“Clearly.” He nodded. “Doesn’t matter. You familiar with any of my moves at all?”
You could’ve told him that you’d watched some of his matches in the viewing room before but something told you that he would think you were weird for that, so you simply shrugged and said, “kind of, not really.”
The way he eyed you made you think he knew you were lying.
“Never seen me do redrum?” He questioned, raising his brows.
“Maybe like one time.” You lied again, and that’s when his eyes narrowed, as if he was reading right through the bullshit.
He pushed his hair back and let his hand fall to his side with a smack to his hip before he stepped away from the punching bag and over to a bench, grabbing an almost empty water bottle and chugging the rest.
He crumbled the plastic before tossing it in the trash can halfway across the room and walking back over. He stood in front of you. It seemed to you like the man didn’t know the definition of personal space.
“Are you familiar with a half nelson at least?”
You shot him a questionable look, feeling the sarcasm dripping from his question.
“Pretty sure everyone is.” You crossed your arms, deadpanning on him in an attempt to dish it right back. His lips fold in and that’s when you couldn’t help but notice a dimple on his right cheek.
“Alright then-“ he held his arms out to his sides. “Put me in one.”
You shot him another look, wondering if that was a serious request or not. He stared at you, clearly waiting. It didn’t seem probable since the man towered over you.
“How do I do that when you’re like, six foot tall?” You asked, holding your own arms out. “I’m obviously too short to reach.”
“Size doesn’t matter. It’s the way you utilize your body. Anna’s taller than you, how do you expect to put her in a choke? Wait for her to get down?”
“I wasn’t planning to until you said I needed to learn your moves. I have a couple of my own.”
“And clearly they don’t work too well.” He counters comebacks quickly, you realize.
“If you can’t reach, use your legs first.” He instructed, suddenly having a more serious edge to his voice. “If that means you have to jump on their back, then do that. I’ve had to a time or two.” He shrugged before he waved you foward.
You dropped your arms and eyed him skeptically. An uneasy feeling was trying to take over simply because the thought of wrestling around with a man twice your size didn’t seem like the smartest idea.
“You’re not gonna sling me over your shoulder or something, are you?”
You caught the brief flash of confusion that crossed through his eyes before they returned to that cold stare he perfected.
“No, Y/N.” He huffed in annoyance. “I’m not gonna do anything but let you take me down. I’m gonna fall foward though, not back, so if you go flying off of me that’s on you.”
In his mind he was wondering why you were so apprehensive about this. Did you really think he was going to hurt you? He might not be all that friendly but he didn’t have intentions to harm you. Either way, he pushed past those thoughts and focused on the task at hand.
You nodded in understanding before you circled around him, taking a step back for more momentum when you sprung foward. Your legs wrapped tightly around his waist, knees locking in underneath his ribs and you heard a low grunt reverberate through his throat.
“Am I hurting you?” You loosened your legs but felt his hands grab them, keeping you wrapped tightly around him.
“Nope, always keep your legs tight. I’m good. Lock it in.”
You did as you were told, snaking one arm beneath his jaw and the other under his arm, bringing it up and pushing his head down until you felt him falling foward with a low, “Fuck” beneath his breath.
You held on tight as his knees hit the floor and he tapped on your arm quickly. You unwrapped yourself and stood back up, offering your hand to help him to his feet, but he ignored it.
“Was that right?” You asked, feeling somewhat prideful about the way you just brought a six foot tall, two hundred pound man down to his knees with his own finisher.
He nodded, rubbing his neck. “Yeah, that was right.” He cleared his throat. He then eyed you with a somewhat unreadable look on his face, eyes slightly narrowed.
“What?” You asked.
“You’ve never seen that before?” He resorted back to his previous question from earlier.
“I told you I have once.” You reminded him, but again, human lie detector comes out of him and it was evident.
“Most people don’t get it right the first time after seeing me do it more than once.”
“Well I did.” You shrugged, watching as he peered those eyes at you, reading straight through the bullshit once more just to hum in response.
“Not very believable but alright.” He muttered before he walked over to the bench and sat down, grabbing his hoodie and tossing it over his shoulder. You felt your clothes sticking to your body with sweat that wasn’t your own and peeled the fabric from your skin, just for it to stick right back.
Hook noticed this. “You got a little sweat on you.” He comments obviously.
“Do I? I didn’t notice.” You sarcastically replied, and another unreadable expression played on his face, one that had you wondering what he was thinking, but you didn’t ask. It returned back to that blank, emotionless look moments after.
“I have a match Wednesday.” He said as he ran his hand through his unruly hair. “You should probably be ringside.”
“Did Tony say that? I haven’t heard anything.”
“I’m saying that.” He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees, looking up at you. Your mouth clamped shut with that response. He clearly saw the mixed reaction playing on your face and made it a point to clarify.
“The more we’re together, the more we’ll sell.”
But something told you otherwise and you weren’t sure what. Something was nagging at you about his actual motives. If you remember correctly, he didn’t seem too pleased about being paired up with you to begin with.
“I didn’t think you cared so much about this storyline.” You tested. “You seemed really unhappy about it when we were in Tony’s office. And after, especially.” You referred to the first little conversation, or lack there of, in the hallway.
He looked down at his knuckles and a few scars on them before he looked back up at you.
“If we have to do it, I want to at least make it good.” He said, ignoring basically everything you just said. “That means we need to sell it. So we need to be seen together a lot more. Nobody’s gonna believe it if we’re only shot on segments and nowhere else.”
You nodded, understanding that fact.
“So when I have a match, you be there. When you have a match, I’ll be there.” He then stood up and threw on the black hoodie you always saw him wear at work before he walked past you, muttering a low, “see you Wednesday” under his breath before the gym doors shut behind him.
———
“Sounds like he wants to fuck you.” Willow bluntly stated after you told her and Skye all about what’s been going on lately. You felt your cheeks practically burn your skin but looked away in an attempt to hide it.
“Agreed.” Skye adds in. “Looks like someone’s not so coldhearted after all.”
“No, he definitely is.” You affirm with a quick nod. “He’s just good at selling a storyline. He’s a different person on camera than he is elsewhere.”
“He looks pretty angry all the time to me. On camera and every time I pass his grumpy ass in the halls” Willow chuckled and you couldn’t help but do the same. “And if he’s trying to sell the story purely, I don’t think he’d bother getting you down to the gym at almost two in the morning.”
“Well it was to teach me his finisher for when we have that tagteam match.” You justified, but they didn’t buy it.
“That could’ve waited for a day time hour, Y/N.” Skye tried to convince you, but there was no use in that. You looked at the time and realized his match was starting soon. You got up from the seat, thankful for an excuse to leave the conversation.
“I’m needed ringside.” You tell them, noting the smirks on their face before you left.
Hook was already in the gorilla waiting for his music to hit when you finally got there. His back was turned and head hung as he pushed himself back and to against the bars.
“Hey.” You breathlessly said, due to nearly racing to be in time. He turned his head, looking over his shoulder as he kept doing what looked to you like mid air push ups, assuming it was just something he did to get amped up.
His eyes adverted down to your shirt. You didn’t have a match tonight so you didn’t bother throwing on your ring gear. He was wearing all black this time, and you were wearing a bright yellow top and black shorts.
“Hey sunshine.” He said with a condescending, mocking tone as he eyed your apparel.
“Sunshine? Why? Because of my shirt?” You asked. “Was I supposed to match you or something?”
He shook his head and dropped it, exposing that dimple again. He pushed himself off the rails to stand up straight, looking down at you rather dramatically with the way he dropped his head.
“I didn’t say anything about your clothes.”
“You insinuated by the way you looked at my yellow shirt, then called me sunshine.” You pointed out, watching an amused grin spread across his lips before he dropped his head to cover it. You know you weren’t mistaking.
It was then that his music hit and the pop of the arena was already ringing your ears. He headed through the tunnel and you followed, unsure what you were actually supposed to do now that you were here.
The crowd went crazy when hook came out, but nearly insane when you popped out right behind him. He stopped at the top of the ramp to look amongst the sea of faces, and you endured it all next to him. You turned to look at him, only to find him staring down at you.
He nodded towards the ring, signaling for you to take the lead, so you did. On commentary once again, Taz was hyping it up for the viewers at home.
“That’s hook right there folks. The coldhearted handsome devil. He’s being accompanied by one of AEW’s crowd favorites, Y/N for this match. These two have been joined at the hip ever since Anna Jay knocked her upside the head with the FTW title. They’ve got each others backs, I’ll tell you that much.”
If you could hear commentary it would probably make you laugh just how much his dad sells the storyline.
You stopped at the end of the ramp and waited for hook to walk down. He stopped next to you for a moment, the cameraman panning in on the two of you taking in the crowd reactions before he nodded towards where you would be standing, signaling for you to take your place while he rounds the ring.
When the bell rings and the match gets started, you watch on from where you stood leaning against the canvas. You’ve seen a few of his matches but never up close. It was clear exactly why he was favored in this industry. His quickness and agility was otherworldly. He was fast thinking and cleverly destructive.
He made quick work of getting his opponent down. It had only taken about three and a half minutes and the redrum was locked in, and seconds after, his music boomed through the arena.
You clapped genuinely, watching as he got to his feet and slipped out the ring on your side. He nodded towards the tunnels and by this point you already knew to take the lead while he walks behind you. No idea why he prefers it that way, but you didn’t question.
When you reached the stage, you stopped and turned to face the crowd. He got up next to you and looked at you questionably when you grabbed his wrist, even though he already knew what you were going to do.
You raised his hand in the air and listened to the crowd explode. The pop was unlike anything you’d witnessed yourself, and it was doing a pretty good job at bringing your confidence level way up.
“Probably one of AEW’s most unlikely duos. The coldhearted handsome devil and Y/N look like night and day standing next to each other.” Excalibur mentions on commentary.
“Their appearances may be complete opposites but don’t let that fool you my guy. These two are a force to be reckoned with.” Taz adds.
You get halfway through the tunnel when you look over your shoulder to find hook trailing closely behind you.
“Good job.” You smile at him, though he doesn’t return the smile back. You didn’t expect him to, anyway. He hummed in response and dropped his head, ruffling his hair.
Just then, a text came through to your phone. You pulled it out of your pocket and read the group chat message.
“It’s Tony.” You tell hook. “He said me being ringside was a nice touch for whoever’s idea that was. Want me to tell him it was yours?”
“Nah.” He shortly replied. “Did he say anything else?” He asked, seeming a little curious.
“No.” You told him, watching as he nods once. “What do you think we’ll be doing next? Another segment? When even is this tagteam match happening?”
“Ask him.” He mutters.
He wasn’t saying much all of the sudden which confused you. It was like he retreated into a shell after he decided he didn’t like the outside world for the two minutes he experienced it.
“Are you tired?” You asked, noticing the questioning glance he gave you.
“No?”
“Oh. You sound tired.” You added as you headed down the hall with him, unsure where you were actually going since you just got caught up in talking to him.
“Not tired” he sighed, giving you the impression that he didn’t want to talk at all anymore. Or maybe he never even did in the first place.
“Alright well, I’ll see you next week then.” Your voice was far weaker than his was. He slowed down but didn’t stop, muttering “alright” before he kept walking down the hallway, leaving you standing in the middle of it for what felt like the hundredth time watching him leave.
———
A text from Tony came through two days later. It was a graph with the ratings for Wednesday night’s show and apparently the interactions with you and Hook brought a lot of attention on.
You were typing a reply when another message came through. It was next weeks plans for the two of you. Reading over it, you couldn’t help but to be confused. Apparently you were supposed to interfere in one of Anna’s matches that Jack was going to be standing ringside for. This time, you were going to be the one using the belt against her after hook takes it from jack.
Sounded like heel work in your opinion.
You didn’t reply due to the fact that you weren’t sure what to say, but hook did. His message came through a few minutes after the text was sent and was nothing but a simple okay emoji.
That night, you received a text from hook. It was short and simple like all the other ones had been.
“you own any black clothes?”
You felt like you could feel the sarcasm through the screen. What kind of question was that?
“Why?” You replied, not having much time to close your phone before another one came through.
“so we can match”
You understood the reasoning but weren’t super thrilled about black of all colors.
“Do you own anything other than black clothes?” You retorted. This time there was a pause between messages.
“what color do you want to wear, y/n” if you were standing in front of him having this conversation you just knew he’d have that bored look on his face. You thought for a minute about a reasonable color. Then decided on one he probably would glare at you for.
“Got anything yellow?” You grinned to yourself knowing that he was probably going to roll his eyes at that one.
“no.”
“Fine… Blue?”
“no.”
“Red?”
“no. wear black wednesday”
You stared down at that message for a moment debating on what to say back. You looked across the room at your suitcase overflowing with clothes but you already knew the only article of clothing you brought with you that was all black was a dress you wore to go out in. Nothing reasonable for the show.
“I don’t have anything black suitable for tv.”
“how would something not be suitable? just wear it”
You sighed deeply as you walked over to your suitcase and pulled out the dress that you only wore once simply because it rode up way too high all night long. You threw it on the bed and snapped a picture, sending it to him.
“This is it and I’m not wearing it.”
There was a couple moments that passed before you received a message back.
“i don’t see the issue”
“It’s revealing.”
“so is your ring gear but you still wear it?” You stared at that message wondering why you were standing in the middle of the room arguing with that man right now. And still, you continue to do so.
“That’s ring gear. That’s different.”
This time, a good five minutes pass by before he replies. You had just tossed your phone on the bed when you figured he was done texting only to grab it almost as quickly as you tossed it when your phone buzzed again.
“ill bring one of my hoodies then”
On the other end of the phone, Tyler was sitting at a restaurant table with his dad going over the next couple of weeks.
Taz was the one who told him that the two of you should match and it would probably do good at winning over the crowd and the viewers, but he was thinking more along the lines of his son wearing something other than the typical black attire he exhausts.
“It’s funny seeing you two up on that stage” taz chuckles as he digs his fork into his pasta. “You’re like the moon and she’s the sun, for now at least”
Tyler’s eyes lifted from his phone. He was staring at the three little dots while he awaited your response. He said he’d bring you one of his hoodies and for some reason he was apprehensive about sending that message. It felt like odd territory to him to be letting you wear his clothes, but apparently all you had was a little black dress you didn’t feel comfortable wearing.
“And I’ll tell you another thing, when you two team up in that ring, the fans are gonna lose their freakin’ minds”
Just then, a text came through and for some reason a slight smile landed on tyler’s lips, until his dad called it out.
“Who’s that?” He questioned, trying to lean foward to steal a glance at his son’s phone. He was quick to lock it and stuff it in his pocket.
“Y/N.” He muttered before he dug his own fork into his food.
“Have you talked to her about the turn yet?” Taz asked, and Tyler froze for a second.
“Nah, not yet.”
“She doesn’t know?” He questioned, looking a bit taken back. “What does she think the plans for you two are? You have to tell her, son.”
“I’m pretty sure she’ll figure it out on her own.” He grumbled, leaning back in his seat and dropping the fork against his plate.
“Tyler” taz shot him a look, “It was your idea. You need to be the one to tell her straight.”
And it was his idea. He approached Tony shortly after he left you in the hallway that first time the two of you talked, and pitched the idea that you should have a heel run by his side. Tony wasn’t apprehensive at all. To him, and to Hook, the idea of an America’s Sweetheart type of personality completely doing a 180 with the coldhearted handsome devil was golden.
It was just that he told Tony that he’d talk to you about it and never did. Plans had changed from the originality of the first idea and you had no clue about it.
“What’s gonna happen when she’s supposed to go out in front of thousands of people as a heel, and she’s thinking she’s still this babyface character?” Taz reasons, making Tyler drop his eyes to the table.
“She needs time to prepare. It’s not easy going a complete 180 son. Especially not if you wait until last minute to tell her.”
He retrieved his phone from his pocket and read your message back.
“Thank you” was all you said. His thumbs hovered over the screen before he finally managed a response. It was hard to put it into words for some reason and when he realized what it sounded like, he had to send a double text for clarification.
“can you come to my room later”
“to talk. it’s kinda important”
———
Later meant way later than you expected when Hook sent you the text letting you know what room number he was in at midnight.
Regardless of how tired you were, you were way more anxious than anything to figure out what was so important. You reached room 235 and knocked on his door. You heard some shuffling around before he opened it, hair even messier than usual and eyes low, like he was on the verge of passing out himself.
He stepped back and waved you in. You walked in and eyed him as he walked around you. He didn’t sit down anywhere and you didn’t make yourself comfy either. This was awkward. Probably the most awkward encounter you’ve had with him yet.
Truth was that he was a little nervous. He didn’t know how you were going to take the fact that this entire time, you were working on a heel turn without even knowing it. And he was the one behind it all.
He looked down at you, leaning against the wall as he contemplated the best way to go about the conversation. He never really got nervous about anything so this was fairly new and rather uncomfortable for him.
“Did you get that message from Tony about Wednesday?” He started off by asking, and you slowly nodded. You eyed him, trying to read an unreadable man.
“What did you think about it?” He was doing a good job at reading you though. Wasn’t hard since you had a tendency to wear your emotions on your face. He could tell you were skeptical of him in that moment by the way you stared at him solely. He’s seen that look from you a couple dozen times already and the only other one he can recognize that easily is the look you give when he makes a smart comment to you.
“You mean about me using the title to hit Anna? It sounded like heel work to me.” You told him, watching as he nodded.
“Cause it is.”
You blinked twice. “I’m not a heel.”
“I talked to Tony about this storyline a while back. We agreed it’s a better idea if you have a heel run with me.”
You stared up at him, a bit lost. The original idea was for the babyfaces to win in the end, since jack and Anna were already heels. Now it turns out that you had a whole new character transition coming you didn’t even know about in the first place and frankly, you were unsure how to feel.
“Wait so this whole time I’ve been working on turning heel? And you knew that and didn’t tell me?” You peered your eyes at him, glaring. “Why not?”
“Never had the chance, I guess.” He shrugged.
“Never had the chance?” You felt your eyes form into small slits. “You had plenty. How come you got to decide what I do with my gimmick and I didn’t even get the chance to give my opinion?”
Just then, a voice popped into his head, belonging to his dad. Women don’t like when you lie to them, son.
He didn’t intend to lie. It just happened that way. He kind of assumed you’d catch on with the whole heel turn thing and not ask questions but now that he knows you a little better, he knows better than that.
“Your goody two shoes persona wasn’t working well for you anyway, Y/N. We knew it wouldn’t sell for a storyline like this so we came up with something better. If Tony pitched the idea you wouldn’t be getting all fired up at him”
“It’s not the fact that I’ll be turning heel, it’s the fact that nobody told me. Especially you.” You pointed out. You weren’t even mad about the new plans. You would’ve agreed to it anyway if that was the first idea Tony pitched, but you were walking around with no idea what was coming for you and that alone made you more nervous than you needed to be.
“Maybe you didn’t realize, but this is my very first storyline. The last thing I want to do is blow my chance at another one and I’ve been going around absolutely oblivious to the fact that I’m expected to do a whole heel turn in who knows how soon, and you just let me look stupid when you were the one who unrightfully came up with the idea in the first place!”
You rarely yelled at people and he rarely ever got yelled at. It was heightening the tensions between both of you and he expected as much, but didn’t foresee you chewing him out this bad.
“You’re not going around looking stupid! Tony gives you the rundown every week. You know what’s coming and if you didn’t by now you would’ve figured it out.”
You were somewhat baffled by his defensiveness. There was no true justification to what he omitted and he probably knew that full well and just didn’t want to admit he was wrong.
“Yeah, like last minute!” You shout, not meaning to be as loud as you were but you couldn’t help it. “This means something to me, Tyler!”
The use of his name took him back a little and you didn’t mean for that to slip in the first place but for some reason Hook wasn’t the first name to come out in that moment.
Just then, there was a knock on his door that caught both of your attentions.
“Go away” he shouted, but that’s when his dad’s voice reached both of you.
“Open the door, son.”
He rolled his eyes as he walked over. Opening the door and taking a step back so taz could walk in. It was strange to see him wearing pajamas but you ignored that.
“I can hear you two across the hall. What is going on in here?”
Tyler looked at you for a second before he looked back at his dad. “She’s not happy about the heel run.”
“No-“ you stepped forward, correcting him. “I’m not happy about being lied to.”
Taz gave his son a look. A stern I told you so kind of glance.
“Alright” taz held his hands up, “I get that, Y/N. I told this man that he needed to let you know what was going on and not at the very last minute. He doesn’t listen to nobody but himself and half the time that steers him wrong.”
“Clearly.” You huffed out, crossing your arms.
He turned to Tyler and shrugged. “This one’s on you bud. Make it right but keep it down. We don’t need to draw attention.”
You nodded and taz made his way back out, leaving you and Tyler alone once again. He dropped his head and ran his hands through his hair, thinking.
“I’m not happy about this.” You state.
“Couldn’t tell.” He muttered under his breath. The fact that he had the audacity to be sarcastic was mind blowing to you. It made you actually want to scream at him but the last thing you wanted was Taz to come back and give you both some sort of lecture or something.
Tyler picked his head up, tired eyes landing on you. “I’m sorry for not telling you sooner.” He said, shrugging his shoulders. It was a half ass apology but the only one he’d ever given. He never really cared to give anyone that type of respect, or what he thinks is respect in his mind.
“There was no reason why you kept it from me.” You remind him, watching him nod.
“I know.” He sighed.
“And I have a right to be mad right now because my whole entire image is about to change dramatically and I haven’t even been prepared for it.”
“Yeah, but you’re not doing it all on your own. You’re doing it with me. I’m turning too.”
“Yeah, but you had time to prepare for that.” You pointedly state. “How much time do I have? Literally I’m about to start at the next show and I didn’t even realize it.”
“It’s not something you really have to prepare for, Y/N. You just go out there and put on a show. It’s not much different than what we do right now.” He walked around you and made his way to the bed, sitting down on the edge.
“It’s different for me. I’m not mean in general. I need to practice.”
You watched a weird look cross over his face, bringing his lips up in a faint smirk. “You’re not mean?” He quirked a brow. “Not even a little bit?”
“No?” You shrugged.
You heard a low chuckle before he looked down at his phone in hand. You sighed when you realized that this conversation was probably going nowhere fast and the best thing you could do was accept the reality of the situation and work with what you’re dealing with.
“Since you seem to think it’s easy becoming a whole different person, tell me where to start.” You plopped down on the chair awkwardly positioned halfway across the room. His eyes lifted from his phone before he tossed it to the side.
“It’s just acting, Y/N. It’s not like you’re becoming a different person all together. It’s literally one day out of the week that you put on a tough face and sell a gimmick. There’s nothing complicated about it. You’re complicating it yourself.”
You glared at him and the annoyance that was so evident in his tone. He sighed and leaned back on his hands, his eyes lowering by the second.
“I guess just start acting like you hate the world. Go out there and give everyone the biggest eat shit look. Be a little more aggressive in the ring and more no fucks given outside of it.” He advised, watching you nod before you stood up from the chair.
“So basically, be more like you.” You pointed out. Before he could respond to that, you held up your hand to silence him. “Got it.” You said before you left his room.
———
“Doesn’t make sense why he didn’t tell you.” Skye says as you and her head down the hall towards catering. “It’s literally your gimmick changing.”
“I know.” You roll your eyes. You were sick and tired of thinking on it. At this point you’d decided to stop wishing you would’ve known beforehand, since clearly there was no changing that, and take the bull by the horns.
Even though Tyler told you that nothing really changes, everything was about to. Your persona, your ring gear, especially your attitude. You had a lot of winning over to do and you were determined to use this transformation to the best of your ability. No matter how bitter you might feel about the fact that he kept the whole thing from you for weeks.
“Doesn’t matter. I’m gonna be a good heel. I’ve been thinking about all of it. I have tons of ideas and I’m starting to actually get excited about it.” You told her, rounding the corner.
“Speak of the devil.” Skye muttered. “Want me to wait up for you or are you good?”
“I’m good.” You nod as you watch him slowly approach with a black hoodie on and one draped across his shoulder.
He got a look from Skye as she passed by but he didn’t pay attention. He pulled that hoodie off of his shoulder and handed it to you wordlessly. You eyed him as you took it from his hand and threw it over your own shoulder. You hadn’t spoke since that night in his room and he’d been meaning to ask you if you were still mad but never ended up doing so.
The look you were giving him was telling him the answer is definitely yes, you’re still mad.
“I’m going out tomorrow to get some different clothes for my heel era so Ill give this back to you after we’re done tonight.”
“Alright.” He nodded, watching as you pull the hoodie off and hold it up to see it better. Clearly it was going to swallow you whole.
“This might as well be a baggy dress on me.” You pointed out as you held it against your body, showing that it falls nearly to your knees. He noticed the same thing.
“You can cut it if you need to.” He shrugged. “To make it fit decently.”
Your brows knitted together as you looked back up at him. “If I’m giving it back why would I cut it?”
He shrugged again, looking down at the large hoodie covering you whole.
“You can keep it. I don’t really care. Might need to match again sometime later.”
For some reason he was being nice and it was strange to you. You’d chalked it up to the fact that he feels guilty for lying to you. As he should. You tossed the hoodie back over your shoulder.
“I’ll deal with it. You can have it back later.” You say before you brush past him and head down to catering to meet up with Skye.
“What happened?” She asked when you took a seat. Her eyes adverted to your shoulder. “Is that his hoodie he was just wearing?!” You could see the thoughts rolling around in her mind and quickly shut them down. You slung the hoodie down on the table.
“No, not the one he was just wearing, Skye. Just one of them.”
“You’re wearing his clothes? What did I miss in the last five minutes?”
“Nothing.” You shake your head. “He texted me a few days ago telling me I needed to wear black so we could match and I told him I didn’t have anything. So he brought me his hoodie. I’m giving it back right after our interference and getting some new clothes tomorrow.”
She held a weird grin on her face before she looked down at her phone. “Mmkay.” She chuckled.
“What?” You peered your eyes at her.
“Nothing it’s just- it’s funny.” She shrugged.
“What is?”
“The fact that you pretend to be so annoyed by him but you’re willingly going to wear his hoodie.” She pointed at the clothing on the table. “It’s funny.”
“I don’t pretend to be so annoyed by him. He actually does annoy me. I tried to be his friend but he’s so hot and cold all the time. He will be a decent person one minute and an asshole the next, it’s exhausting.” You rambled, making sure she got the point but judging by the smirk on her face, she didn’t buy it.
“Right.” She nodded. “Well it’s almost nine. You should be meeting up with lover boy for your interference in a few minutes.” She teased, earning another roll of your eyes as you stood up from the table with a huff. “Don’t forget his hoodie.” She said before you snatched it up and headed out of catering.
He wasn’t there when you got to the gorilla but you knew he’d show soon. The directors were standing by, seemingly waiting for Hook so they could send you both out at the right time.
You took that time to toss the hoodie on, and it did nothing at all for your figure. It was far baggier than you expected, so much that the sleeves swallowed your hands.
You heard footsteps behind you tracking fast and turned to face the man in question. He took one look at you and his lips turned up in a smirk he was clearly trying to hide.
“This thing is huge on me.” You deadpan.
“I told you to cut it.” He reminds you. Then he reaches down to the ends of the sleeves and rolls them up so your hands are exposed. “Can’t fight if you don’t have fists.”
You stared at him while he rolled the other sleeve up. When your hands were exposed you pulled your hair out of the hood and did your best to make yourself decent before the music hit. As much as you could given the circumstances, at least.
Tyler held his gaze on you for a moment longer before he tore it away the moment your eyes connected, looking down at the floor and fluffing his hair. For once, you matched. You’d noticed his gold cross pendant he was wearing and remembered the one you had on yourself.
“Funny.” You said dryly. “I have one too.”
You pulled the necklace out from under the hoodie and laid it against your chest. He looked down and nodded. “I noticed.” He said, just as your music hit.
You turned around and got ready for your first appearance leading up to a heel turn. You didn’t want to psych yourself out about it, but you felt a little nervous.
“Never thought I’d be coming out to this type of song.” He commented from behind you.
“It’ll be changing soon, evidently.” You muttered before heading down the tunnel.
Anna was staring at the stage when you and Hook came through the tunnel. He threw on his best scowl and it made it a little easier for you to mimick him. Jack came racing up the ramp, hook moving you to the side before he lunged towards Perry.
He snatched the belt clean from jacks hands and tossed it over to you. The crowd went completely and utterly insane as the boys backed down the ramp, throwing punches everywhere they could visibly see of each other’s bodies.
You raced towards the ring as anna was sliding out of it, calling jacks name over and over in an attempt to get him away from hook, and as soon as she had noticed you getting close, she turned around and you slammed the title into the side of her head like she’d done to you weeks prior.
She fell to the floor and Jack immediately rushed to her aid, screaming and cursing you and Hook as you held up the title and shouted back, “This is gonna be his. You just wait! It was always his!”
A proud smirk from hook was caught on camera but you didn’t get to see it. He knew that there were no lines to this. You just came up with something and the fast thinking was what really got him.
Jack then got up to his feet and raced towards you both, but hook stepped in front of you and held his arm out, blocking Perry from getting any closer.
On commentary, everyone was eating the whole situation up.
“Looks like the coldhearted handsome devil has made quite an impact on Y/N!” Excalibur shouted through his headpiece. “This is wild!”
“That it is my friend. I said it from the start. Those two are an absolute force to be reckoned with. God help jack and Anna. Wouldn’t wanna be those clowns right now.” Taz chuckled.
You and hook walked back up to the stage and just before you were about to head through the face tunnel, he grabbed your wrist and nodded his head to the left.
You looked up at him, realizing it was happening this soon. You heard the commotion from thousands around the second you let him lead you through to the heel side, in your mind, you made it official. You were no longer the babyface you’d been for over a year. The transition was starting faster than you’d expected but, it felt a tad bit easier to have someone doing it with you.
“That’s not a shock to me. I could see that coming with those two. Bonnie and Clyde of AEW.” tony announced from commentary.
“Y/N and Hook have made their impression here tonight, and they’re just getting started boys.”
You couldn’t deny that you had an adrenaline rush running ramped. He turned around to let you catch up to him before you entered the hallway.
“How’d it feel?” He asked.
At that moment you almost felt thankful to him for pitching the heel turn idea to Tony in the first place but then you remembered how he kept it from you for weeks. Either way you were able to not let that bother you for the time being.
“Kind of exhilarating. Did you hear that crowd?” You say as you round the corner. There’s looks being sent your way from multiple talent. In your mind it’s judgement but in all actuality they’re wondering how long you and Hook have been hooking up on the low.
“Yeah, they loved it.” He says. He walked a little slower than usual. Usually he was ready to get to the shower but he didn’t mind talking to you a little before that today. He wouldn’t tell you that though.
“I didn’t expect it.” You say. Just then someone calls your name. You turn around and find that it’s Ricky. He reaches his hand out to dap hook up but his eyes stay on you.
“That was fucking crazy what you did out there.” He tells you, making a grin spread across your lips. “I never expected you to turn heel, especially not with my man Hook.” He throws his arm around hooks shoulders, and he stiffens them immediately.
“Next time you’re on I need a heads up so I can watch in the viewing room. Both of you.” He looks at Hook who suddenly has a stiff jaw. He picked up on a vibe Ricky was emitting and he didn’t like it. He didn’t know why but he wanted to get you away from him.
“Thanks Ricky.” You smiled before he nodded his head and gave Hook a pat on his back. “Good choice man.”
You didn’t miss the way hooks eyes followed him all the way down the hall. He suddenly looked like he reverted right back to the version of him you had an unfortunate encounter with weeks ago.
“You okay?” You asked, but he didn’t look at you until Ricky was out of his sights. Then he turned back started walking. You followed close behind, reaching for his arm when you realize you were being ignored.
“Hey” you stopped him. He turned to face you but kept his head down, staring at the floor. “Why do you suddenly look so mad? What just happened?”
“I’m not.” He picked his head up. You could see it on his face. It was clear as day whether he wanted it to be or not.
“You are though.” You attested. “Did he do something to you? I thought you were friends.”
“Can you drop it?” He quickly cut in with a sharp tone. You took a step back, almost feeling like his words forcefully pushed you away. He noticed the distance you put in and his eyes seemed to have softened, but only for a mere second.
He turned back towards the hall and muttered, “see you next week, Y/N.” Before, once again, he left you there watching him go.
———-
“Clearly jealous.” Willow nods dramatically.
“Obviously.” Skye agrees.
“That’s hard for me to believe.” You tell them as you adjust your ring gear. You had a segment to shoot tonight in the ring. It was going to be the first time you actually talked in front of the crowd and you were beyond anxious about it. Tyler was going to be in the ring with you but he wasn’t going to say anything and the fact that you hadn’t spoken to him since that last conversation made you even more nervous.
“Because he wants you.” Willow smirked. “And if you haven’t already heard, everyone is talking about it.”
“Who’s everyone?” You asked as you strapped the laces on your new shoes. It was going to be a little difficult to break in another pair but you assumed that was the price you pay when you turn heel and can’t wear bright, glorious colors anymore.
That was the whole reason you donned an all black attire tonight. Black nails to match. It was never something you expected to wear but if you were going to be a heel you were going to rock it.
“Everyone as in everyone in this building right now.” Willow says. “People keep wondering how long you’ve been secretly hooking up under everyone’s nose.”
“But we’re not.”
“Not yet.” Skye points. “I give it two more weeks and you’re going to send us a picture from his room.”
“I give it one and a half.”
You rolled your eyes and stood up from the bench. “It’s not gonna happen. It’s nothing like that.”
“Then why did he suddenly get all weird when Ricky came up to you?” Willow raised her brows. “Skye, please tell me, why would a man do that?”
“Because he’s jealous. Because he wants you.” She answered, and you shook your head back.
“Whatever. I have to go. I have a segment in the ring in about ten minutes.”
“Good luck. We’ll be watching from the viewing room.” Willow calls out as you head through the door.
To your surprise, Tyler was already waiting for you when you reached the gorilla. To his surprise, you looked like a certified heel. The new attire and dark makeup, it looked way too natural on you.
He had on that signature black hoodie which reminded you of the one you had laying across your bed that you forgot to give back to him.
“Shit, I forgot I still have your hoodie.” You blurted, watching his dark eyes linger down to your attire before they made their way back to your face.
“Told you to keep it.” He said. It was clear he was in another one of his moods again tonight. It was really starting to bother you how he switches so fast, but right now the last thing you needed was to get in an argument and forget your lines. This time you knew you had them memorized thanks to staying up until three am studying them.
“I’ll give it back next time I see you.” You mumbled before music started playing and a song he recognized, but not as your own reached his ears.
“You changed the music?” He asked as he stepped to the side to let you lead.
“I’m a heel now, remember?”
You slid past him and made your way out. It was strange knowing you could no longer interact with the fans. Usually you’d blow a kiss or tag their hands but now you practically ignored them. At least they were engaged and supportive of this new you, so it seemed. Or maybe they were just going crazy over the two of you. Either way, you weren’t the ones getting boo’d.
You plastered a scowling look on your face and tried to keep it there as you made your way to the ring. Hook followed closely behind you, trying not to bob his head to your music.
You slid under the ropes and he took the steps, but you both met back in the middle. You took a minute to take in the reactions from the crowd. It was something you had to try hard not to smile about. Which was going to take some work.
Tony Schiavone handed you a mic and you snatched it from his hand, all for the dramatics, of course.
“Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t already noticed, you’re looking at two of the absolute best AEW has ever had to offer you.” You pointed at Hook who nodded his head, stepping side to side on his feet.
You weren’t being boo’d, which came as a thrill to you. If they were eating it up you just wanted to give them more.
“When Anna Jay and Jack Perry made the unfortunate decision to target us, we made the decision to fight back, and what you saw last week when I knocked that bitch out with Hook’s FTW title-“ you paused to make sure the fans were taking it all in, “It was just the beginning.”
You looked over at Hook who continued to nod, chewing on a piece of gum as his eyes scanned the crowd.
“And when Anna recovers from that blow to the head she took from me, I’ll be waiting. And as for Jack, well” you chuckled darkly as you nodded towards your partner, “Let’s just say Hook was some fun things planned for him.”
He looked over at you, and you could see a faint smile on his face before he ran his hand over his lips.
“You see, I realized something a little while ago. You know, after Anna smashed the FTW title into my head?” You reminded the crowd of weeks ago.
“It’s that being nice gets you used and abused. All the times I’ve let that bitch get away with attacking me, I regret it. I really do, but it’s alright, because it will never happen again.”
The crowd popped when you took a pause, but you had to keep that cold expression on your face.
“So Anna Jay, Jungleboy, if you’re watching from the hospital, I just want to say, get well soon. Please.” The camera panned on you and you shot a mischievous grin before you dropped the mic and heard the crowd scream their lungs out.
Your music hit and Hook walked over to the ropes, holding one up for you to slip through.
You headed towards the stage, trying not to let a smile break out. You felt his arm brush yours as he walked alongside you.
When you disappeared through the tunnel you huffed out a deep breath. “Fuck that was exciting.” You chuckled as you placed your hand over your racing heart.
“Fun isn’t it?” He asked as he squeezed into the space next to you.
“Yeah, really fun.” You said before rounding the corner to find Skye standing there. Her match was next but you’d forgotten that in the mix of everything. Her eyes lingered to the man next to you before they fell to you with a smirk plastering her face.
“That was hot.” She remarked as she walked up to you. Tyler stopped when you did, to your surprise and Skye’s.
“You think it was good?” You asked.
“It was perfect. You are doing the damn thing, isn’t she hook?”
You could see what she was doing and tried to send her a look but her eyes were on him instead.
“Yeah, she did real good.” He nodded. That’s when she looked at you again and caught the look you sent.
“You two are a good duo. Can’t wait to see what comes next.” She ran her hand over your arm before she brushed past you.
Tyler looked back down at you and you hoped he didn’t pick up on Skye’s insinuations. He did, but he didn’t mention it.
He started walking when you did, and again, you saw all the people around with their eyes on the two of you. You wondered if Skye and Willow were right. Did everyone think you and Tyler were hooking up? And if so, why? You didn’t think you gave that impression at all. It was just acting, like Tyler told you.
Truth is that Tyler had been approached quite a few times, being asked about you more often than not. He never gave anyone a straight answer, which obviously left them to make their own assumptions.
“Everyone keeps staring.” You whispered.
“They’ll do that.” He muttered back.
You were heading towards the locker room when Jeff Hardy came around a corner, a smile brought to his and Hook’s face when they saw each other.
“What’s up man.” Jeff greeted, “And ma’am.”
“What’s up” hook nodded.
Jeff’s eyes adverted between the two of you, then landed back on Hook. “When are we gonna see this duo beat some ass?” He asked, “I’m ready for it.”
“Whenever Tony calls the shot.” Hook shrugged. “I’m ready too. I think we both are.” He glanced at you. Jeff brought a full fledged smile to Hook’s face pretty easily. One you hadn’t seen from him in all the weeks you’d been around him.
“It’s highly anticipated. From a lot of people, actually.” Jeff chuckles and hook drops his head, seeming to try to hide that smile that you evidently caught.
“We can tell.” He says.
Jeff’s eyes switch back to you again before he looks back at Hook. Both men were grinning from ear to ear as if they had some sort of secret telepathy going on.
“Alright well I’ll see you around brother, and you maam.” He nodded his head and you nodded back.
“Alright bro.” Hook said before Jeff walked around the two of you.
“Best friend?” You teased, watching as he brought his hand to his mouth, physically wiping away that smile.
“Something like that, yeah.” He said as the two of you made your way towards your respected rooms.
“Kind of cool how everyone likes our heel turn. I thought we’d get hate for it.”
“We still might, but it’ll be alright.” He shrugged. You reached the end of the hall that branches off into two opposing directions and it hit you that this was the first time he hadn’t left you standing in the middle of it.
He stopped and turned to face you, adjusting the collar of his hoodie.
“You did good out there.” He tells you, surprisingly. “You should think so too.”
You were somewhat dumbfounded at the fact that he actually complimented you without underlying sarcasm. You smiled even though you didn’t mean to, assuming your lips had a mind of their own.
“Thanks.” You say as you suddenly feel the air getting thick, but not as suffocating as usual.
Hook nodded before his eyes adverted to the empty hall behind you. He didn’t have anywhere to really be, but he told you he did.
“I’m gonna go shower.” He lied for no reason. You just nodded. You felt your hands clamming up, sweat spreading across your palms and didn’t like it.
“Alright well, see you next week?” You didn’t know why you asked. Of course you’d see him next week. It’s been like that for a while now.
“Yeah.” He nodded before he brushed past you, heading one way while you headed the other.
————
A text from Tony at eleven in the morning got your attention that following Saturday.
“This is it. Big match Wednesday.” Was all it said.
It felt like you’d anticipated this whole thing for so long and now that it was coming you weren’t sure how to feel. You stared down at the message until another one came through, but not on the group chat.
“you ready?” He asked, clearly referring to Tony’s previous message.
“No lol” you replied back, but you were being honest.
“you’re ready” he quickly responded, and all you did was stare at those words for a minute to long.
Why it was making you nervous, you weren’t sure. Probably because it was your biggest match to date and held a lot of value to your current heel run but, what happens next? What happens when you and Hook beat Jack and Anna? Is there even going to be a you and Hook anymore?
Lots of questions were left unanswered because you were too hesitant to ask them. You just decided to play it by ear, but the thought of a heel run all on your own wasn’t very appealing to you. As much as you didn’t want to admit it, having Hook alongside you, sort of paving the way for all your antics made things less worrisome and a lot more fun for you.
You truly couldn’t picture doing it without him and that alone was something you never expected.
Another text came through and you were surprised to find that it was Skye. She sent you the picture from AEW’s instagram account when they announced the tagteam match on Wednesday.
“This is your biggest match yet girl. I’m so proud of you. You’re gonna kill it!”
You smiled down at your phone and typed a couple hearts back. The support you had made things a little easier but your nerves were still trying to get the best of you, and you assumed it was going to be that way until the match was over.
————
It was anticipated and highly talked about all over the internet. You were constantly being tagged on twitter, instagram and TikTok. It seemed like the whole world was awaiting this match and the time had finally come.
You were heading towards the gorilla with a racing heart. You kept trying to tell yourself that this was just like any other match, any other opponent but it wasn’t. It was your first match as a heel, first match as a tagteam and longest tv time to date. You had a couple moves you were expected to pull that you never had before and there was very little familiarity around the entire situation.
“Hey” you heard a deep voice from behind you. You turned around to find Ricky standing there.
“Hey” you smiled, adjusting your black wristbands.
“Good luck on your match tonight. Just wanted to say that.” He grinned, and it was then that you picked up on a vibe that you weren’t all that into. You took a small step back but kept your politeness.
“Thanks, I appreciate it.” You say. Before you can turn back, he asks another question. One that catches you off guard.
“Hey, are you and hook like, a thing?”
Your brows knitted together but you wiped that look away quickly. You were about to respond when you felt eyes on you, and just like all the times before, you knew Hook was around.
Ricky’s eyes adverted above your head and that’s when you felt warmth radiating against your back.
“Y/N, you ready?” His deep voice reached you, making your heart flutter for some reason.
He held his eyes on Ricky as you turned around to face him. You could see that familiar expression like before. Jaw set and teeth clenched. It was then that you realized Skye and Willow were right. Hook was jealous. He didn’t get that way at all when Jeff approached the two of you. It was just Ricky.
You spared the man a glance over your shoulder and caught the disappointment on his face, but you couldn’t take enough time to think about it when you had a match in a few minutes.
“What was he talking to you about?” Hook muttered next to you.
You felt a little nervous to say it, but when his eyes landed on you, it urged you to tell him.
“He wished me luck on the match and… he asked if we were a thing.”
His jaw throbbed and you caught it, but by the time that happened you were already reaching the gorilla.
What you didn’t know was that Ricky had been coming up to him asking the same thing, and at one point he expressed that he wanted to ask you to go out with him. He thought he made it clear when he glared the man down but evidently he didn’t make it clear enough. Either that or Ricky just didn’t care, which was what Hook was now figuring on.
He knew he couldn’t get distracted. A lot was riding on this match for you and he didn’t want to ruin that. He pushed the thoughts out of his head and turned to face you instead.
“Ready?” He asked, but he could tell that you were anxious. You still had those wide, round eyes that reminded him of a puppy and as much as you might be good at playing a heel, you just weren’t that person on the inside.
“Ready as I can be.” You nodded, attempting to collect yourself.
Jack’s music was almost finished and you knew that meant it was time for you and Hook to come out. You took in a deep breath and he noticed that it was shaky.
“Something that helps me when I feel under pressure is thinking about the look on the faces of all the people who ever doubted me when they have to watch me prove them wrong.” He blurted, shrugging a shoulder.
You thought on that. Remembering back when you first came to AEW and had no foothold in the industry. All the mean, offensive things you’d heard about yourself start replaying over and over again in your mind and to your surprise, you felt a little bit of adrenaline surge.
“That’s helpful, actually” you tell him, noticing the right side of his mouth tipping upwards.
Just then, the intro of Chairman’s Intent boomed through the speakers and Hook nodded. “Remember that if you get nervous.”
You nodded back before he stepped to the side, as he usually did, to let you lead the way.
You headed out with him trailing right behind you and held your eyes on both Anna and Jack standing in the ring, amping each other up.
The glares being shared between the four of you was making for great tensions arising in the arena and the crowd was intensely engaged in all of it, which made you happy, of course, but you couldn’t show that.
You headed in one direction and he headed in the other, you both circling the ring with eyes on your opponents.
When you passed each other, he held his hand out. You tagged it as you walked past and that simple interaction had the crowd bursting with cheers.
You met up at the steel steps and he stepped back, waving you to go first. You stepped up onto the canvas and slipped between the ropes, Hook following. He didn’t lean against the turnbuckles like he usually did but you assumed that was because this wasn’t one of his typical matches. He stayed at your side and shot daggers to jack and Anna.
You and Anna were going first. You walked up to her, showing no signs of intimidation as you stood toe to toe. She smirked down at you before forcefully pushing you a foot back, making you stumble before you caught your footing.
You wiped that grin off of her face when you delivered a harsh slap to her cheek and from that point on, the two of you were rolling around the ring, throwing fists and kneeing ribs until Paul said it was enough.
You put some separation between you two and that’s when she tagged Jack, so you went to your corner where hook was waiting with an extended hand, eyeing you as you approached.
“You good?”
“I’m good” you slapped his hand and he hopped over the top rope, lunging towards back with a force that knocked him off his feet.
The crowd went wild at his explosiveness and the energy in the arena was absolutely riveting. It could’ve given you a high at that point.
You watched as Hook clotheslined jack right over the ropes, and when he hit the floor, Anna hopped off of the canvas. Hook jumped down and grabbed jack by his hair, but that’s when Anna came behind him and jabbed her elbow into the side of his neck, bringing him down to his knees.
You hopped down and raced over, grabbing her from behind and spinning her until she slammed into the barricades. Hook watched for a moment before he returned his attention to jack.
The two of them were back in the ring while you and Anna threw punches on the outside.
She was way more aggressive than you were, making you feel the urge to hit a little harder. You heard Hook shouting and you both looked up, finding that Jack had used Hook’s redrum against him, but Hook was trying to fight it, and failing.
You kicked Anna back and created enough space to slide under the ropes and break the hold. Hook fell to his knees and jack rose to his feet, walking you back towards the turnbuckles before you felt annas hands around your ankles and your face crashed into the canvas.
You lifted your head to see blood stains dripping from your mouth. Your tongue slid over your teeth to see if one was broken but all you tasted was metallic.
You glanced up to see Hook’s eyes on you. He was in the middle of getting jack ready for a German Suplex when he got distracted by the blood pouring from your busted lip.
He snapped back into it and slung jack over, then got back to his feet like he didn’t take a harsh landing himself and walked over to you.
Kneeling down, he scanned every inch of your face. This wasn’t planned and you both knew that. There was concern in his eyes that quickly turned into undoubted rage when jack grabbed Hook’s shoulders from behind and slammed him down to the canvas.
It was only then that he realized you were bleeding but by that time, it was too late for him.
Hook rose up quickly and threw his fists into jacks jaw. He stumbled back, falling against the turnbuckles and hook just didn’t stop.
Paul had to separate the two, and you when he did, Jack shouted out, “I didn’t know she was bleeding man!”
You got back up and saw the look on Anna’s face when she noticed all the blood leaving a trail from your lip to your chin. She didn’t mean it, and you weren’t mad. Accidents happened all the time, it’s a part of the business.
Hook’s eyes followed you as you walked around the ring back over to your corner, and tensions seemed to have died down when he saw that you were okay.
You held your hand out for him, knowing you and Anna were the ones finishing the match and he hesitated a little bit before he tagged you in.
“You alright?” He asked, and you nodded before you hopped over the top rope.
Anna lunged foward and you stepped to the side, letting her slam into the turnbuckle. Hook smirked at this, it was a classic move.
You grabbed her by the back of her head and slammed her down on her back, watching as she clutched her neck and rolled around, before you pulled her back up.
You knew what was next and had to remember what Hook said that night that you learned you’d be using his finisher to end this match.
Anna was a good bit taller but since you brought a six foot man to his knees, you knew size wasn’t an obstacle.
She turned her back in an attempt to create some distance and you quickly sprung forward and hopped on her. Jack immediately slid under the ropes but that’s when hook raced in and wrapped his arm under his jaw, immediately making him wobbly at the knees.
“Lock it in!” Hook shouted at you as he hopped up and wrapped his legs around jacks waist, effectively bringing him down to the canvas.
You dug your knees into Anna’s sides and reared back, holding on tight when your back hit the canvas and within only seconds, they both tapped out and Hook’s music bursted through the arena, though it wasn’t too easy to hear over the eruption of the crowd.
You kicked Anna’s limp body off of you and looked up to see Hook’s extended hand. You took it, helping you to your feet before he held both your hands in the air.
His eyes would’ve been scanning the arena but they were focused on the blood smearing your skin instead. He nodded towards the tunnels and you lead the way, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, and feeling the sting of an open wound.
“That was a hell of a match right there boys” taz exclaimed from commentary.
“That it was, taz, those two know how to bring the energy to an arena” tony chipped in.
“I’ll tell you what, I wasn’t too thrilled about the new attitude from Y/N at first, but she’s toughened up a lot since her and Hook teamed up.” Excalibur adds.
“He’s coldhearted and she’s following in his footsteps I guess” tony chuckled
“No, I’ll tell you this much. I’ve had many, many conversations with the coldhearted handsome devil and with Y/N myself and those two simply have like minds, like-personalities and like-spirits. We should’ve seen this one coming boys, it was bound to happen.”
As soon as the arena was behind you, you felt his hand on your shoulder, turning you to face him. His eyes were trained on the laceration but you quickly covered it with your hand.
“It’s fine” you tell him. You wanted to continue feeling the rush that the big win gave you, wondering why he didn’t seem excited at all.
“I don’t care about the cut, I’m too pumped up right now” you tell him as you head through the tunnel with a little pep in your step.
“It’s deep.” He says as he catches up. “I think you should go make sure you don’t need stitches”
“It’s just a cut, it’s fine Tyler.”
Accidentally once again, you said his real name. Once again, he felt a little taken back by it, but tried not to show it.
“It’s bleeding a lot.” He keeps on, like it hasn’t stopped at all.
You wiped the blood with the back of your hand and he grabbed your wrist to show you the crimson covering your skin. “That is a lot.”
“I’ve had worse, seriously. I’ll just go wash my face and hold a gauze to it for a couple minutes and it’ll stop.”
Before he could object again, Skye and Willow were both racing up to you. Their arms engulfed you and you felt the giddiness arising within you again. You glanced over at Tyler who was watching the whole group hug with an evident, proud looking smile.
“You are the baddest fucking bitch” Skye says when they unwrap their arms. “That shit was so good I would watch it a hundred times!”
You couldn’t contain the smile breaking out, and that’s when Willow asks, “Does your mouth hurt? That was a nasty fall.”
“Yeah but she got up and kept fighting cause she’s a bad fucking bitch” Skye grins.
“It’s fine, I don’t even feel it I’m too happy right now” you say as you glance back over to see that Tyler was no longer there. Your eyes adverted all around but he had disappeared elsewhere.
“C’mon, we’re gonna get you cleaned up.” Willow grabs your hand and pulls you along. “Oh, and we’re going out tonight to celebrate you.”
————
You stumbled through the hotel doors at one in the morning, wobbly on your feet with willow and Skye by your side. You’d went out to a bar on the north side of town and downed way too many drinks that you could actually remember but you were still on a high from your match that you didn’t even realize how drunk you actually were.
You were all three laughing amongst yourselves about nothing in particular when you caught sight of Taz coming out of the hotel gym.
He had an amused smirk on his face when he approached the three of you.
“Ladies, looks like you had a good time tonight.” He said as he eyed all three of you before focusing on you specifically.
“You took a nasty fall, Y/N, my son was just telling me about how you were too stubborn to get it checked out.” He chucked. That’s when your eyes lingered over to the gym doors.
“Yeah but it’s fine” you slurred. “I was so pumped I didn’t even feel a thing.”
“Be careful about that adrenaline rush, it can sneak up on you sometimes” he said.
“Okay. Is he in there?” You pointed to the gym, stumbling a little bit.
“Tyler? Yeah, he always does his workouts at this ungodly hour.”
When you heard that, that’s all your attention was focused on. You looked over and Skye and Willow who already knew what you were thinking, but they didn’t say anything except, “Well see you tomorrow girl”
Taz eyed you before a smirk came to his face and he shook his head with a low laugh. “Alright, I’m off to my room. Tell my son he needs to stop calling me down to the gym at anytime past midnight and call his tagteam partner from now on instead.”
You nodded, a smile willingly spreading across your lips before you headed towards the gym. You opened the door to find him sitting on the weight bench staring down at his phone, and right as you saw that, your phone buzzed in your pocket.
He looked up at you, brows knitted but with amusement in his eyes.
“That’s weird, I just texted you. Do you teleport now?” He asked, then cringed to himself. That was stupid, why did he say that?
You chuckle nonetheless as you stumbled in, thinking you weren’t noticeably drunk but it was way more obvious than you thought.
“Have fun?” He asked as he watched you head over to the bench across from his and sit down.
“I did” you grinned sheepishly. “It’s been such a good day, actually.”
He nodded back, eyes lingering to the laceration on your bottom lip that was already healing.
“I just ran into your dad” you tell him, swaying side to side.
“Did you?” He smirks, and you wished your vision wasn’t so blurry.
“Yeah, said to tell you stop calling him down here so late and call your tag team partner instead” you hiccuped.
He dropped his head. “Of course he did” he said as he shook it. You watched as he ran his hand through his hair and fluffed it out.
“Hey” you catch his attention.
“Hey” he says back.
“What’s coming next?” You asked the question that’s been running through your mind for a couple of days leading up to the match. “You know, we won tonight. The rivalry doesn’t really have anywhere else to go. So what does that mean for us? Are we done being partners now that we’ve beat them? I mean I know you still have the FTW title to win back, and I can be there ringside for it… if you wanted”
His eyes dropped to your fingers fidgeting over your lap.
“I don’t really know. What do you want to happen?” He asked, knowing already that he has thought about this same exact thing and the idea of the two of you no longer being a duo didn’t sit right with him, but he hadn’t mentioned anything to Tony and Tony hasn’t said anything else either.
“I want things to stay like they are” you admitted with another hiccup. “We have fun, don’t we?”
He had to keep in mind that you were drunk and now probably wasn’t the best time to take anything you said to heart, but it was hard for him not to.
“Yeah, we do.” He nods.
“So let’s call Tony and tell him we’re going to keep doing this heel run together” you pulled out your phone and read the text that was floating on your screen from Tyler earlier.
“can you come to the gym, i want to talk to you about something”
“Wait, what did want to talk about?” You asked. He shifted around and straightened his posture as he rubbed his palms over his sweats.
Before he texted you that, he was having a talk with his dad about you. It wasn’t often that Tyler came to him for advice on women but he didn’t really know who else he could trust.
He admitted that even though he tried to fight against it, he’d fallen pretty hard for you and it was starting to eat away at him. He didn’t have the impression that you would feel the same way, even though Taz completely disagreed with him on that.
He told his son that he would bet a million bucks that the feeling was mutual, claiming that a connection like the two of you have is undeniable and if he’s ever listened to anything taz told him, it needed to be that.
“You two remind me of myself and your mother when we were young” he recalls his dad saying. “We were too stubborn to admit we had feelings until we got drunk one night and it all spilled out”
“Tyler?” Your voice broke him out of his own thoughts. “What did you want to talk to me about?”
He never had to have a conversation like this before. He never really wanted anyone for more than just a fun night before. His adams apple bobbed as he swallowed thickly and tried to keep his nerves under control.
“I- uh-“ he rubbed the back of his neck as he inhaled deeply. Letting it all out in a quick huff.
“I been thinking a lot about me and you, and I don’t want to stop what we’ve been doing, but I do want to start doing more” he danced around the confession and you couldn’t quite piece it together.
“Like… how?” You asked, a little lost.
“I want to be with you.” He blurted, feeling his cheeks burn the minute the words flew from his mouth. His eyes scanned your face, studying it, searching for a reaction but you were blank faced and for once he couldn’t read you.
“You want to be with me? Like, be with me?” You were sure you weren’t hearing him right. Maybe everyone else thought you and Tyler were a thing but you never thought it was actually going to be an option.
“Yes, I do” he boldly stated, holding his eyes on you, watching as all the conversations you, Willow and Skye had over the last couple of weeks flashed through your mind and you couldn’t believe they were right the entire time.
“But if you don’t feel the same way, it’s okay, I’ll still do the heel run with you and we can forget I ever said anything.” He lowly muttered, waiting for what felt like an eternity for you to say anything back.
“Or if you’re already into someone else, like Ricky or something-“
“I’m not” you blurted out. “I’m not into anyone else.”
You couldn’t ignore the way your heart was beginning to race and your skin felt like it was engulfed in a million small fires. You stared back at him, your eyes lingering to his lips when his tongue slid over them.
A bunch of feelings you’d suppressed out of sheer denial suddenly came rushing in and it was now impossible to force them back again. All the tensions between the two of you, the anger and the confusion over the last few weeks was quickly diminished by an even stronger feeling of pure anticipation and desire.
The space between the two of you was too much and it was if Tyler had that same thought when he stood up from the weight bench and extended his hand. You took it, and he helped you to your feet.
You were unsure what to do with your hands when he let go but it became easy to find a place for them to rest on his waist when his finger curled beneath your chin, angling your head up, lips would’ve been brushing against each other if you were just a little taller.
His eyes were soft and a sprinkle of hazel appeared against the dark brown, and you realized you never noticed that before now.
He took in every inch of your face with a slow and meaningful gaze before an easy smile spread across his lips and a dimple soon followed.
You felt butterflies erupt in your stomach and spread through your whole body when he leaned in. You rose to you tip toes and your lips met gently, slowly, and tenderly. The way they fit like two pieces of a puzzle, moving in sync and pure harmony had your head spinning.
The taste of mint lingered on your tongue long after his lips were no longer on yours and you didn’t want it to vanish anytime soon.
He looked at you with eyes of adoration, his fingers slipping from your chin and pulling you into his chest. You buried your face into the fabric of his t-shirt, taking in the scent of cologne that you recognized from his hoodie you never gave back to him, and that’s when you remembered it.
“I still have your hoodie.” You chuckled, feeling his chest rise and fall with a low chuckle of his own.
“Keep it. It’s yours. It’s been yours since I gave it to you.”
———-
From that night in the hotel room gym on, you and Tyler were always together at the arena and outside of it. Your heel run was going strong. You were an undefeated tagteam that nobody wanted to step in the ring with.
After two weeks of keeping your love life on the low, he decided he wanted everyone to know. You were walking back from another successful match, standing on the stage when he grabbed your hand and spun you to him, placing a kiss to your lips that made the whole arena erupt in screams and chants of your conjoined names the fans came up with.
“Bet nobody saw that coming” Tony sarcastically remarked from commentary. “AEW’s modern day Bonnie and Clyde”
“Looks like you need to set an extra plate at the table when the holidays roll around, Taz.”
“I’ll gladly do that my friend.” Taz grinned as he watched you and hook exit through the tunnel.
“We’ve never seen the coldhearted handsome devil show any sort of emotion whatsoever… except with her!” Excalibur exclaims.
“Guess he’s not so coldhearted after all” Tony chips in.
“Oh no, he’s coldhearted son, but not towards her. Everyone else including myself gets the cold shoulder from my man, but she’s something special to him.”
Tyler walked you to the locker room and leaned against the wall. A soft smile stays on his face whenever the cameras aren’t around now.
“You looked gorgeous slamming Britt’s head into the canvas.” He taunts, earning a laugh from you.
“Thanks, I didn’t really try” you bantered back.
“Never have to.” He grins as he leans in and brushes his lips against yours before they fully connect.
“Everyone knows now” he says when you pull apart.
“They probably already did. We’ve been caught making out a lot” you remind him, earning that dimple you love so much to appear.
“True. I’m glad we don’t have to hide it anymore. I can officially call you mine.” He grins.
You place another gentle kiss to his lips before you whisper against them, “I’ve been yours this whole time”

Had It Coming Part 4!?!?!?!!
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING SO HERE IT IS
Had It Coming Part 4 (Christian Cage x Female Reader/Hook's Sister/Jack Perry's Ex):
Summary: It seems that you and Christian are going strong. But how does that sit with your ex-boyfriend, Jack Perry?
Word Count: 2.3K (Please accept as an apology for being so late)
Supreme Speaks: thank you guys so much for supporting this series and showing it love. it really means a lot to me. okay, I ain't gonna waste your time any longer. Here is the anticipated part four of this series (it has a dark portrayal of Jack, you don't have to read if you're uncomfortable). Please remember that you are loved and appreciated.
Warnings: DARK PORTRAYAL OF JACK (tw: obsessive, stalking, in the denial stage, borderline yandere vibes tbh), suggestive mentions, explicit language, proofread to the best of my abilities
Taglist: @hooks-martin @sheinthatfandom @triscillal @cassie0sstuff @hookerforhook @batzy-watzy @wwenhlimagines
It’s been 33 days since he saw you walk away from him with his former mentor and best friend.
And Jack is going crazy.
He legitimately lost it.
Everyone can see it on his face. But they can’t help him…they can only watch as he unravels and continues to ruin his own life. After seeing you run off in the sunset with Christian, Jack became uncharacteristically silent. He wouldn’t even talk to Anna, and when he did, it was screaming and placing blame on her. Anna, who truly wanted to help him, was broken up with before she could even do so. You found that out in the locker room as she was crying to Tay Melo, a sight that was so bittersweet for you to watch.
Jack would walk around the halls, bags under his eyes, genuine stress marrying his facial features, wearing all-black clothes, hair matted, and not utter a single word to anyone. It got so bad that Tony wouldn’t even put him on the screen. He would spend his evenings in the arenas sitting in a corner on top of boxes, just looking over your contact. His thumb would caress your face through the phone screen as his eyes lingered on the contact name “Sunshine.” He tried texting you, asking for you to come back. You never answered. For some reason, he thought changing your name and breaking up with Anna would be enough for you to come back.
It wasn’t.
But even though you didn’t come near him, two people would come near him, offering friendship and shoulders to lean on: Austin and Colton Gunn. They would try their best to get Jack chatting with them as they filled his ears with loud jokes, obnoxious laughter, and weird banter. Although he never cracked a smile, the Gunns were resilient and still provided him with company.
“Hey, Jackie-boy,” Austin said cheerfully, walking up to the sulking wrestler, who would mumble a response. “How ya doing?”
“Man you should have been at the party last night,” Colton said bumping his shoulder. “You could use a night out. There was this insanely cute girl that is exactly your type-” Jack shook his head. Colton looked at his brother before nodding to Jack.
Austin sighed, “Look man, we get it that it’s been a rough month and a half. You lost your best friend, other best friend, title, and girlfriend-“
“I didn’t lose Y/N.” Jack snapped, looking up at the brothers.
Colton and Austin quickly side-eyed each other before Austin continued, “I was talking about Anna…but bro and I mean this respectfully, Y/N left you a while ago.”
“Anna and I were never together. She doesn’t matter to me. Y/N didn’t leave me. We are just going through a rough patch right now.” Jack said while running his fingers through his hair. “It’s not my fault.”
“We’re not saying that it is. We’re just trying to say that maybe there is no future where you and Y/N are together. You need to accept it.”
“No, I’m not going to accept it because it’s not true!” He shouted, startling the Gunns, with Colton hugging Austin in fear. Jack lowered his voice as he continued to talk, “It’s not my fault. It’s not her fault. It’s Christian’s fault.” He whispered to himself. “I didn’t lose my beautiful, innocent, and sweet girlfriend to Christian. That could never happen. He took her from me! Just like how he took my best friend and credit for my career. He just takes everything from me.”
Colton said taking a step forward, “Jack-“
Jack stood up from the boxes, looking into Colton’s eyes with anger, determination, and bitterness, “He filled her head with these images that I’m not the one for her. That he’s better than me. He basically kidnapped her, come to think about it. Yeah…he kidnapped my precious Y/N and started feeding these lies to her. And to make matters worse, Anna came back into the picture and distracted me from realizing it. That’s what happened.” He poked Colton’s chest as he finished his statement, “And I fully intend to get her back.” He swiftly walked away from the brothers as they stared in disbelief.
Austin looked up at Colton, “He is not okay. Where do you think he’s going?”
“It’s 9:00, he's off to do his favorite activity.”
That consisted of Jack watching you from afar when you were by yourself or with your girlfriends; curious if you missed him, if you cried over him, if you were dying to run back to him for safety, comfort, and love.
The answer was no. None of the above.
But the second he saw you with Christian, his stomach would turn and he would run away, not wanting to see the bitter and disgusting man with the love of his life. Jack is miserable, but you? Oh girl, you are thriving right now.
It seemed the longer you and Christian dated, the bigger the smile on your face would get. As Christian stated, if you wanted something, all you had to do was ask. And he has continued to keep that promise. Nowadays, all you have to do is look at him as it seems that he can read your mind. The newest Louboutin heels? He bought them in 5 different colors. You feeling stressed and want to escape? He booked a yacht. You want to ride something while on the yacht? He’s already underneath you, allowing you to take control.
He was a gentleman to you; dropping everything just to assist you, even for a second. You didn’t have to worry about doing a single thing. As long as Christian is beside you, you are sure to be treated like the Princess you are. Hell, he even changed your stance in wrestling. As you were no longer bound by Jack, you took the necessary steps to reconcile with your brother, Tyler (Hook).
As Christian filled your life with love, positivity, and care, you realized that the FTW championship wasn’t something you wanted. So after a couple of defenses, you relinquished it, crowned Tyler the official champion, and started to manage Christian full-time.
But this wasn’t a parasitic relationship where you got all the benefits. Oh no. Christian loved being around you. It just felt right having you near him, with a hand lingering around your waist. Not only did you feed every single one of his sexual and physical needs, you also met and exceeded his emotional needs. You made him feel heard and seen. You see him in a different light than everyone else. He is letting his humane side be seen more now that you are always with him. Because to you, he is more than your lover, he is your protector and motivation.
He is also a great man of taste…
“Willow, he is so sweet! Just yesterday, he drove 45 minutes to sleep beside me because I couldn’t fall asleep. And then, he brought a chef to cook my favorite breakfast!” You yelled out to your best friend while getting dressed for Dynamite.
“That’s great Y/N, I’m so happy to see you smiling again. I haven’t seen you this happy in a while.” Willow said with a grin on her face. To everyone, your relationship with Christian was no more than a typical “sugar baby” transaction. But it was nothing like that, and Willow saw that.
You stepped out in your new dress that complimented your skin tone beautifully. “I know, he truly makes me happy.” As you were about to speak again, there was a knock at the door. You squealed, running to open it and seeing a medium-sized bouquet of white roses. You thanked the man before closing the door. “He always sends me flowers every Wednesday.” You said as you put the vase down. Willow got up and examined them. “But he never gets me white; they’re either red, pink, or orange.”
“Maybe he’s full of surprises,” Willow said as she got closer to the vase. There was another knock at the door, you went to answer it as Willow started to speak again. “Y/N, there is-“ She was cut off by your sequel again. She looked back at you to see you give Christian a soft kiss.
“Hi Princess, how are you?” Christian said hugging you with one arm, the other was behind his back. He twirled you around, “You look gorgeous.”
“Thank you, baby.” You said, placing a kiss on his cheek. Christian greeted Willow while still trying to hide his arm behind his back. “What are you hiding?”
“Well, it is Wednesday and you know I give you flowers-“
You smiled as you cut him off, “Baby, I already got the flowers you sent me. They are beautiful.”
Christian’s face screwed up in confusion, “What are you talking about?” He moved his arm from behind his back to reveal a much larger bouquet of red roses. “The flowers I got you are right here, I wanted to personally deliver them myself today.”
The color drained from your face as you took your boyfriend’s flowers and looked behind you. Willow held the roses in one hand and a paper in the other, as she read the note, the color drained from her face as well. “You need to read this.” She gave you the note. It would have been a very sweet and flattering one….if it was sent from your boyfriend.

Your laughter, a melody, a joyful song, In my embrace, is where you belong. Each moment with you, a cherished delight, You're my sunshine, my morning light. Love J
Your heart started racing as Christian ripped the note, took the flowers from Willow, and them in the trash. “He’s a piece of shit. That bastard.” He looked at you, who was in shock and disgust. He hugged you tightly, avoiding the roses he got you. “He just needs to leave you alone.”
“Yeah, I’m going to make sure of it.” You said before gently placing the red roses down on the table, taking over from where those distracting and bitter white roses once were.

“No, you will not. You let me handle it, I don’t him anywhere near you. He put you through shit before and I’m not letting that happen.” Christian said getting angrier by the minute, obviously not at you. “I’m going to get Luchasuarus to accompany you tonight. My woman will not go anywhere near him.” He said sternly.
Did you listen? No. Of course not. You left way before Luchasaurus got to your locker room door.
Your heels clicked along the halls as you were trying to find your ex-boyfriend. Anger was pounding through your blood as you carefully looked for him. You were about to turn to go down another hallway until you saw his matted hair in a bun. You stormed towards him, calling out his name. Jack turned around and immediately lit up at your figure getting closer, even though your facial expression was anything but happy.
"Y/N-"
You cut him off by sharply slapping him. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" You angrily asked him, not giving him a moment to register anything.
"Sunshine-" He sweetly started to say
"How dare you send me flowers and address me like that? We are not together. That was clear when you cheated on me with Anna"
Jack's face became angry as he spat out, "Don't talk like that. Anna means nothing to me. You love me and I love you. That backstabbing, lunatic, bastard is messing with your mind. Sunshine, just come back with me. Stop this little game of yours, you're letting him get the best of you."
"Jack, stop. I am with Christian; he treats me with love and respect. He actually cares about me and my feelings and treats me like royalty. Much better than the low-down and disgusting ways that you have shown. The only lunatic around here is you. You don't care about me."
"Don't say that!" He yelled, grabbing your arm harshly, "I love you Y/N! He's not the one! I am! Just come back with me and everything will be fine!"
You were struggling to pull your arm away from the man you once loved. Then a voice shouted down the hall, making Jack take his hand off of you. You turned around to find your boyfriend and your supposed bodyguard. Christian gently placed you behind him. "I'll talk to you later about this." He quietly said to you before turning his attention to Jack. "Listen, you have one more time to pull some shit like this-"
"Shut up! This is between me and my girlfriend-"
"MY girlfriend, MY woman, your ex. You have no reason to talk to her anymore. I'll be damned if you try to come between us or weasel your way back into her life." Christian stepped closer to Jack, looking down at him. "Leave her the fuck alone, little boy. Or the next main event for you will be your funeral."
Jack rolled his eyes as Christian grabbed your hand and kissed it before leading you and Luchasaurus down the hallway, away from your ex. You quickly looked back with bitterness and a glare as you turned the corner. But to Jack, that was a look of hope and desperation.
Desperation to get away from Christian, the man who drove you two apart. But also he could have sworn that your eyes were delivering him a message, a message of love and secrecy that was directly for him. "I'm going to save you from this Y/N. You don't have to pretend to have feelings for him much longer. I see your plan, and I understand it. It's genius. As those white roses signify, it will be a new beginning for us. And then, when it's all said and done, Christian will finally see who the real man is."
And according to Jack,
Christian had it coming…
And he only had himself to blame.

Tumblr media
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x (Fem!)Reader
Summary: You’ve known Wanda ever since she began her time as an Avenger. You considered yourself unspecial compared to everyone else. Even when she chose Vision over you, you never stopped finding Wanda so fascinating to you.
Warnings: MoM spoilers, Angst, Self-Esteem/Mental Health Issues
A/n: If you haven’t watched MoM yet, I recommend skipping this until you watch it.
Unconditionally - Katy Perry
Key: +*+ = Time skips
--------------------------------------------------------------
                        -Post Winter Soldier-
Through your mother, she would tell the story of how she met your father. She would often tell you a tale of how ‘special’ people like you and your father would find their form of soulmate. They would find themselves fixated on a specific person, to the point where they would become anyone they wanted them to be.
“The real challenge was for the person to reciprocate the feelings back,” You explain, “Well, call it a little stalker-ish... But, my father got lucky with my mom.”
“Who was your father again?” Natasha asks
“Never met him...” You say, “But, my mother would always tell me how he was the sweetest guy ever. Gave her everything she desired, not just by a snap of his fingers like a king would to woo the heart of their potential queen. He actually worked towards getting her the finer things in life.”
“You being one of them?” She asks
“Guess so,” You smile
                       -Age of Ultron-
You were split from Clint Barton as you, him, Thor, Steve and Natasha were attempting to stop Ultron and his sentries from taking the Vibranium. But the challenge were his two accomplices: Wanda and Pietro Maximoff.
-The Girl tried to warp my mind, it would take special care to keep her at bay, I doubt a human could do it. Fortunately, I am Mighty-
Thor says over the comms.
Oh we’ll see about that buddy...
You became determined. To prove to a god that you, a measly human could keep a woman with telepathic powers at bay. However, finding her was the trick. She could have been anywhere.
-Y/n, get back to the ship. This could get hairy...-
Natasha became the mother figure you needed ever since losing your own, and since joining the Avengers. However, you still weren’t at full extent with your powers.
I have to do this... I want to prove my worth to everyone...
Natasha was basically a highly skilled former assassin, Clint had perfect eyesight when it came to a bow and arrow, Bruce was a walking time bomb of Green Anger, Thor was a god, Steve was a super soldier and Tony had a suit of armor he could modify with ease.. You weren’t sure why you were still in this band of people with superior abilities, or why they still wanted you there.
“It just...” a feminine voice pulls you out of your own self-doubting thoughts
You turn your head towards the voice and there she was... Wanda Maximoff.
“Bounced off...” She says, when she realizes that you had no reaction to her magic
“Well, when you already picture your own self-doubt and fears your little mind controlling thing is very inefficient,” You explain, lightly chuckling
Wanda couldn’t help but giggle a little bit. Even on the field, even if she was your enemy, you couldn’t help but smile at her little giggle. However, even though you were too fixated on the way she laughed, she tries once more to mind-control you. But like the first time, she watches it bounce right off of you.
“Still not gonna work lovely,” You say
Before you could attempt to bring her in, you thought too late as her speed-powered brother comes to her rescue; punching you, knocking your face onto the ground.
+*+
You continuously thought about your small interaction with Wanda back in Africa as you sit in the field of Clint’s house.
“Clint said you came out here,” Natasha comes up to you
“Nat... Is it odd that I found myself... Fixated on that Wanda girl?” You ask, “It’s like she won’t get out of my head...”
“Maybe she really got to you when she hit you with her mind control trick,” Natasha suggests, sitting next to you
‘That’s the thing... Nat, she tried doing that, twice. But, they didn’t work both times,” You explain
“You already must be going through some dark shit then,” Natasha tries to pass it off as a mood enlightener
However, she looks at you and see no reaction, her smile drops.
“Oh my god y/n, I’m so sorry I-I thought-” She immediately tries to comfort you
“I haven’t even discovered who I am, my powers are still manifesting, I don't know why any of you actually enjoy having me here or unless I am so that I could be used as some kind of secret weapon against these two kids...” You try to spew everything at once
You begin curling yourself into an upward fetal position as you begin uncontrollably hyperventilating.
“Hey Hey Hey y/n it’s okay,” Natasha wraps an arm around you, trying to comfort you
“Who the hell am I?!” You sob
“Y/n, y/n look at me,” Natasha shifts her body to sit in front of you
You finally look up and look at her.
“You are y/n y/l/n,” Natasha explains, “Daughter of an amazing mother and share the special traits of your father. It’s okay that you don’t know who you are yet. You still have a whole entire life ahead of you. I’m with you every step of the way.”
+*+
“You,” Pietro calls out to you
You were in the middle of putting on some Armor.
“Me?” You ask
He nods, “I need you to do me a huge favor,” He says
“Shoot,” You say
“My sister seems very fixated with you,” He says, “I always see you at her side. But, seeing her smile when you're around... That’s something my sister hasn’t been able to do in a very long time.”
“You’re implying?” You ask, not catching on to what he was implying
“I need you to look after Wanda, should anything happen to me,” He says, “Although that’s not the goal. But, my point is, just in case.”
“Deal,” You say, “Name’s y/n by the way.”
+*+
“I got her back Pietro,” You tell him, “Don’t worry.”
Wanda looks over at you from across the key, looking at you in absolute awe.
“It’s you and me,” You smile at her
+*+
You snatch Wanda up into your arms and use whatever leg power you had left. However, you found yourself shifting through a black haze; you were on one of the cargo ships that Nick Fury launched to bring the civilians to the hellicarrier.
“Wands are you okay?” You ask, looking down at her, still holding her in your embrace
“Yeah, I’m okay,” She replies, looking up at you, “How... How did you do that?”
“I... Don’t know,” You answer, “What matters more is that we’re safe.”
                      -Civil War-
You run over to Wanda as she comes back to consciousness after getting hit with a sonic ray, you pull her into your arms.
“Hey hey are you okay?!” You ask her, attempting to check her for any noticeable wounds
“I’m okay y/n,” She smiles
You two hear the footsteps of the German government coming to apprehend you and your team. You honestly were neutral about choosing to be on team Rogers or Stark. But when you saw that Wanda chose to be on Steve’s side, after Vision attempted to keep her at the complex, you immediately followed behind her. No real reason. Just Wanda.
“I’m sorry... To the both of you,” Vision comes up to the both of you
“Us too,” You say, knowing Wanda felt reluctant enough
You hear the German government come even closer...
Wanda doesn’t deserve to be locked up again...
The small team coming for you and Wanda stop. Both Wanda and Vision look at you; the brown of your eyes turned a bright blue flame. Your field of vision towards the civilians.
“Y/n... Stop,” Vision calmly instructs you
However, you were in a trance-like state. As if you didn’t hear him, you easily lift Wanda into your arms as you begin easily walking straight past them. A familiar black haze forms a portal as you and Wanda disappear into the other side.
                       -Infinity War-
You were returning to your shared apartment with Wanda after running out to get dinner. However, when you look up to your window, you saw her with Vision, in a loving embrace. You knew Vision came to visit Wanda often. But, you noted how they became even closer.
Ouch...
However, even after Vision leaves, everything was seemingly normal between you and Wanda.
“Y/n, what’s on your mind?” Wanda comes up to you
“Nothing,” You lie, smiling
“Promise?” She asks, looking up at you
“Promise,”You smile down at her
+*+
You were waiting for Wanda to return from a date with Vision. It was another evening by yourself, even though Wanda promised to have an evening with you. However, you weren’t surprised at that point. You just wanted to make sure that Wanda had a good time.
~
“Even if the one fell for someone else, you never really fall out of love for them. You just simply become someone they can turn to when they need someone. Whether that is actually their lover or a very close, trusting friend,” Your mother explains
“Won’t it hurt?” You ask her
“Most likely,” She answers, “But, you never really think of yourself. You really think of them over everything else. You would want them to be happy. So you do everything in your power to make them feel as such, even if they have someone in their life. having them know they have one other person that cares about them as much would mean everything to them.”
~
You thought about how your mother explained the legend of ‘special’ people like you and your father find their soulmate. However, you’ve found yourself fixated on Wanda for the last couple of years, even when she found herself fixated on Vision. You were pulled out of your thoughts when you hear a blast in the distance. You go up to the window and see flashes of red light and two bodies falling from the sky.
Shit!
+*+
“Y/n, I need to ask you for a huge favor,” Vision walks up to you
Wanda attempts to walk up to the both of you so that she could listen in.
“In private,” He turns to Wanda
You look up at him, confused. Ever since the attack, Wanda has been nearly at his side, even throughout the complex. Vision lead you through an empty hallway, looking over to the direction you two had walked through, making sure Wanda didn’t secretly follow.
“I don’t think they’ll be able to get the stone out of my head quick enough before Thanos reaches it,” Vision says, “Wanda though... She’s going to need someone to keep her company once I’m gone...”
“What are you asking Vis?” You ask
“I’m asking you,” He begins, getting on both of his knees
He doesn’t make eye contact with you. As if feeling some kind of shame, he looks down at the ground.
“Please,” He begs, “I need you to look after Wanda once I’m gone. Should something happen to me. She has experienced enough loss. I know after this one, I don’t know if she’ll ever recover from it. I’m asking you to be at her side through everything. Promise me y/n... For Wanda’s sake...”
But, she’ll never be truly happy with me...
That was what you wanted to tell him. You wanted to also tell him that you and the team weren’t going to let him die and that they will figure out a way for him to live and that Wanda would be happy.
“Deal,” Was what came out of your mouth

“Wanda...” Your first thought comes out of your mouth as you regain consciousness
Your vision comes to... Vision... His lifeless... Grey body...
No no no no...
However, once you look up, Wanda was turning to dust...
“Wanda!” You yelp, launching yourself
You outreach your arm right as Wanda fully disappears. Your heart thumped against your temples as you try to process the fact that Wanda was dusted right in front of your eyes, under Vision’s lifeless body. You back yourself into a tree as you let out a blood curdling scream, running your fingers roughly across your scalp, through your hair.
“WANDA!!!!” You repeatedly scream
It wasn’t until Natasha was the first one to pull you into an embrace, trying to calm you down.
                     -Wandavision-
“Stop!” You cry out
The soldiers lower their guns as they stand there. Wanda looks at the irises of their eyes; a familiar blue flame color in them. They move out of the way, making a pathway for you as you appear before Wanda. Her eyes widen as she watches you approach her.
“You’re with them?” She asks you
“No,” You answer, “By may own free will. I didn’t know they were going to do this... I’m here so I can bring you home...”
“I am home,” She tells you
“Keeping all of these people here against their will?” You ask, “I know that you always talked about wanting a life of where you don’t have to be afraid of your own powers, to be who you are...”
Wanda looks at you, unamused.
“I don’t know what’s harder: trying to get you to come to your senses or traveling the world to find you,” You confess
“You... Traveled the world?... To find me?” Wanda asks
You look at her in total surprise, she really thought you gave up after Tony’s funeral.
“Yeah,” You say, “It wasn’t easy to do. Everyone wasn’t willing to answer, or they would intentionally avoid me when I would ask about you... Until Monica contacted me.”
“So you are with them?!” Wanda’s scary demeanor coming back
“No,” You say, “I’m here for you. I don’t give a rat’s ass about what their goals are. One thing I know for sure is that I found you and I’m not going anywhere until you come home.”
“I am home now,” Wanda repeats, “And you don’t have to be without me again.”
She takes a hold of you with her magic, strings of red wrapping around your arms so that you wouldn’t use your pwn powers against her. She begins dragging you along back into the Hex.
                   -Multiverse of Madness-
You return your horse back to his stable after a day out in the field.
“Y/n y/l/n,” Dr. Strange calls your name
You sigh and turn around to face the Sorcerer.
“Dr. Strange,” You smile, “To what do I owe this pleasure?”
“I need your help,” He says
“What kind of desperate help are you in need of now?” You ask
You didn’t mean to call him weak like that but, that was how it came out.
“Wanda Maximoff has turned evil,” He bluntly states
You stop washing your dishes and slowly turn around. Unholy anger begins building up in you as you turn to look at him.
“Tell me you’re lying,” You say, practically growling
“Y/n... Calm down, let me explain,” He says
You look down and see a blue flame-like haze beginning to form around your hands.
“You’ve worked with her the most,” He says
“That’s an understatement,” You say
It was true. You were the last person she is very close with, maybe the only person. You would think Clint Barton would have checked on Wanda, but, after Westview, he didn’t even attempt to try and talk some sense into her, that was you.
“I’ve been trying to look after her ever since I promised to Vision that I’d be there for her. But it’s hard when she continues running off...” You sigh, “You still didn’t properly explain to me why you insulted Wanda by calling her an evil being.”
“Have you heard of the Darkhold?” He asks
“That book that Wanda was reading?” You ask
”You allowed her to read that?!” Dr. Strange asks, furious
“Strange, I only know so much about the type of magic you work with,” You say, “I was born with mine and I still haven’t even manifested the full extent of them.”
“The Darkhold has the ability to corrupt the reader,” He explains, “I came to Wanda, attempting to have her help us take down the demons after America Chavez who has the power to travel through the multiverse.”
You think back to the moment you and Wanda heard her kids’ voices...
“And since you were the one who allowed her to read that, you can right it by helping us stop her from breaking all laws of natural order,” He demands
“I’m pretty sure this is now a ‘I’m not asking, I’m telling’ kind of situation yeah?” You ask
He nods.
“Okay...” You sigh, “Let’s go.”
+*+
You didn’t know when you hit the ground of Mount Wundagore after attempting to talk to Wanda once more, but you knew that your life was slipping before your very eyes.
I didn’t even tell... Wanda how I felt...
After the amount of times she threatened you, captured you, even hurt you, you knew better. You knew better than anyone now of what she has been going trough.
“You’re really giving up here?” A male voice calls
Who?...
A beam  of light crackles from beneath the earth’s crust.
Satan?...
“Close enough,” He says, “I’m actually your dad. King of the Underworld, overseer of the deceased souls.”
Hades?...
“Not quite either,” He says, “Now are you going to let your sorry ass die here, or will you fight for the one you love?”
How the hell a I going to do that? I can’t move my entire body, I’m slipping into death, And I’m on the ground... She’s all the way up there...
“Fully manifest your powers, save her from the influence of the Darkhold,” He says, “Break her out of your senses.”
How?..
“No longer question yourself,” He tells you, “Believe in yourself. Never be afraid of who you are.”
+*+
Wanda was continuing to absorb America’s powers. Still clinging onto the hope that she’d be able to be with Billy and Tommy.
“Stop this!” Your voice booms throughout the temple
She looks up towards the cliff and nearly stops. Wanda was attempting to read you... You seemed... Different. Not entirely but, the energy didn’t match what was before. But, the giant beings began putting themselves in front of Wanda, preventing you from getting to her.
“Don’t start,” You speak to them
With a simple wave of your hand; illuminated in a bright blur/black angelic ray of light outline, the beings fall behind you, over the cliff.
“Would Vision want this for you?” You ask, “How would Billy and Tommy see you after what you’ve become?”
“Don’t speak to me about them!” She spits at you, “You don’t know the amount amount of loss I have suffered! You will never understand!”
“Actually,” You start, “I understand it all too well... I never met my father whom I literally just met 2 minutes ago, lost my birth mother to an aneurysm, and my mother figure to a goddamn stone. I understand completely... Wanda...”
“Then I’ll just drop you off in a reality where you can live with them all,” Wanda attempts to negotiate with you
“I don’t want that,” You confess, walking even closer, “Because there is something more that I could ever want in this reality and this one alone...”
“And what could that possibly be?” She asks
You don’t give her a straightforward answer but give her a straightforward stare.
“W-Wanda Maximoff is gone,” She attempts to hide her blush, “Only the Scarlet Witch is left!!”
“No,” You say, reaching the other end of the enchantment table, “I know you’re still in there Wands... I know you are,”
“You are so naive,” She attempts to hurt you, “You always attempt to find the good in people even when the good in them is clearly gone.”
“You never doubted the good in me, when I didn’t see it myself,” You say, “What makes you think that I’ll doubt your goodness?”
You know it sounded quite selfish of you. But, what else could have been said? You loved her, deeply. The idea of her leaving you behind for another universe with her kids that weren’t even hers hurts enough.
“I don’t get it,” Wanda begins breaking
“Don’t get what?” You ask, beginning to walk around the table
“Why are you doing this?” She asks, “I’ve hurt you countless times, left you countless times for Vision
+*+
You groan as your vision comes to. You don’t know how long you’ve been out for however, you hear screaming.
Wanda...
You immediately bolt onto your feet and rush toward the portal. But stop. Your Wanda fell to the ground. When you look ahead of her, you notice... Another Wanda, with Billy and Tommy.
“Wanda?” You ask
Both look at you. You actually didn’t specify to whom, but your Wanda noticed how you were staring at the other Wanda.
“Wanda!” A similar voice calls out
Another you... Rushes through the kitchen, immediately embracing Wanda and the boys.
“What happened to you?!” Other you holds Other Wanda’s face in your hands
“I’m okay,” She says, caressing other you’s face, “I’m okay love.”
Love?...
You watch as other Wanda begins to make her way over to your Wanda; Billy and Tommy attempting to keep her from approaching her other variant.
“It’s okay boys,” She assures her kids
Other You attempted to hold her back as well, but you watch her console the other you, so lovingly... Something you never gotten from your Wanda... You watch her walk up to your version of herself and gently raise her fingers to caress her doppelgängers cheek.
“Know that they’ll be loved,” She tells your Wanda
Her vision changed to you.
“Though it took time... For her and I,” Other Wanda gestures to the other you, “But, I love you... In every universe...”
Her hand reaches up to brush her fingers against your cheek. Tears streamed down your face as the portal began to close.
“I opened the Darkhold...” Wanda states, levitating herself onto her throne, “I have to be the one to close it.”
You, America, and Wong were preparing to head back to Kamar-Taj to regroup however, when you turned around to check if Wanda was right behind you, she isn’t.
“Go, y/n,” She tells you
You turn back to face Wong and America.
“I got it from here,” You smile at them, watching America close the portal
You run back up to her, attempting to grab at her arm. However, you look around you and notice how Wanda wasn’t going to move.
“Wanda come on!” You gesture
“I’ve hurt too many people,” She cries, “You should leave while you still have the chance.”
Not again...
You hp up onto the throne, facing the opposite of Wanda. You attempt to gain a grip on her shoulders as she tries to force you off of her.
“What are you doing y/n?! Get out while you still can!” Wanda screams, trying to push you away
“NOT AGAIN!” You scream, finally breaking, “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than with you in this damn world!”
Wanda stops pushing you and stares.
“You really want to be with someone who has been mistreating you all your life?” She asks
“I don’t care if you’ve mistreated me,” You say, “Mistreat me, make me pissed the hell off, hell, even shatter my heart into a million pieces! I made a promise to Vision... To your Brother... Even vowed to myself that I wouldn't ever let you be by yourself... I love you Wanda.”
You shut the gap between your face and Wanda’s. She widens her eyes as the bright light begins to darken. She realizes silver-y grey wings began appearing before you.
“You... Have wings?” Wanda pulls away
You turn your head over your shoulders.
“Huh... That makes sense on how I can fly,” You say, shrugging
“You just now see them too?” She asks
“Well... Guess I never could find a way to believe in myself,” You chuckle, “Knowing you do too guess it’s now visible to us...”
Your arms wrap around Wanda as she continues to bring Mount Wundagore crumbling down. You didn’t know what was going to happen, but you didn’t care. You were with Wanda now. That was all that mattered to you.
“It’s You and Me,” You say

Just a nightmare
Tony perry x reader
(I made it gender neutral)
(Please,somebody,please request!)
Your pov
I wake up in a sweat, my heart racing, trying grab ahold of my surroundings. M mind keeps telling me he's okay, but my heart has to check. I slide out of bed, tears bubbling in my eyes. I walk down the stairs, knowing that tony is either in the kitchen,or in the living room. "Turtle?" I call out, I don't get a response, panic slowly sets in. I swallow hard, and start to cry silently, "tony?" I call out, louder this time. I walk into the kitchen,no tony. "Tony?" I call out,not yelling, but it isn't quiet either, again I get no answer. I walk into the livingroom, and see him with earbuds in,listening to music. He looks up from his phone and sees me,standing in the archway, tears streaming down my face.
"Darling what happened?" He asks, pulling the earbuds out of his ears, and opening his arms to me. I it in his lap,his arms around me. I sob into his chest.
"I-I just had a nightmare" I say, still crying and slightly embarrassed. "I just needed to make sure you were okay" Tony nods and holds me tight.
"I'm okay honey,I promise, it was just a nightmare" he whispers, as he calms me down,I slip away into a peaceful sleep in his arms.

FP Jones/Andrew’s Family/Riverdale imagines - Oh Dear Part 35 - Final Chapter - A Sore Goodbye
Tumblr media
A/N: This is based on the memorial episode for Luke Perry. Watching and writing this was very hard and I miss him as do many fans and everyone who ever knew him. My characters pain here is almost real as it pained me to write about Fred’s death knowing that we didn’t just lose Fred Andrews, we lost Luke Perry. I hope you enjoy this final chapter of ‘Oh Dear’. It’s been a wild ride and I thank every single reader, liker, etc. I love you all.
MASTERLIST LINK (HERE)
Overall Summary: You’re Archie’s older sister and you have a thing for a certain Serpent.
This chapter: Based on Season 4 Episode 1 - (Y/N) has been living away from Riverdale for two years now. Only keeping touch with her family every now and then but (Y/n)’s brother, Archie, and herself never allowed any Riverdale drama to pull her back to the town which held the man she loved but couldn't have. But the sudden death of her father meant she had to finally return...
Pairing: Reader x FP Jones, Sister!Reader x Archie Andrews, Daughter!Reader x Fred Andrews,
Word count: 8,864
Warnings: Very emotional. Loss of a father. Some strong language. Some smut.
“(Y/N).” His voice was like velvet as his arms snaked around you.
You slowly moved in his arms to face him. Your smile widened as you met his eyes.
“You’ve been gone ages–” Fp’s mouth cut your words short as he kissed you deeply and with a hunger you could feel in the pit of your own stomach.
Your fingers tangled themselves in the older man’s hair within seconds, your hips pressing against his as he held you tightly.
You dragged the man backwards to the bed behind you and allowed yourselves to fall down onto it. FP’s hands rushed to rip the clothes from you.
You let your eyes roll backwards at the feeling of his hot tongue against your neck.
His hands left your body for a moment which made you pout and whine in desperation. The empty feeling didn’t last long as hands placed themselves back against your soft skin; but the feeling was different... Not completely foreign but not him.
Your eyes fluttered open to see Malachai’s face. The air flooded your lungs in a sharp gasp but before you could make another sound, Malachai’s hand trapped your lips beneath it.
You screamed into his hand and tried to fight underneath him but his body felt like a deadweight.
You watched him with wide eyes as he moved closer to your face; his lips and eyes blood red.
You squeezed your eyes shut, feeling his fevered breath against your cheeks, trying your best to mentally escape this.
You finally felt the weight lift from you when you snapped your eyes open and thrashed forward, sending your bedsheets across the floor.
Sweat drenched you.
It took you a minute to realise you were alone in your apartment, not in Riverdale.
You shifted your legs off the side of the bed and rested your elbows against your knees with your head low whilst you tried to slow your breathing.
It'd been months since you dreamt of Riverdale; of FP; of Malachai and that night.
You lifted your mobile from the bedside table and a glaring 4:43am flashed back at you.
It was July so the sun was already rising outside.
You pushed back your curtains and opened your window to let some air into the stifling room.
It wasn’t likely you’d be able to sleep against after a dream like that so you just headed to the shower and put some coffee on for yourself.
You kicked some of the dirty clothes from the night before towards your clothes hamper as you entered the bathroom to cool off and clean the nightmare from your body.
Your apartment was small and you hadn’t been there very long but it was perfect for you. No one had been inside it but you since you moved in so you felt like you truly had a place just for yourself.
You let the water cascade down your body and through the tangle that is your hair.
You thought after all this time why would the dreams be coming back?
The dreams plagued you for weeks when you first left Riverdale but after your first short relationship with some barista that you met in your first town, they’d completely disappeared. They’d only ever come back if you had been heavily drinking but you hadn’t gone out drinking for weeks so why would it happen now?
You managed to waste some time in the shower, clearing your head before you slipped into some clothes and went to get your coffee.
You checked your phone again to see that only 40 minutes had passed so you decided to go through your unopened messages.
Archie had texted you last night asking how you were but you must've been asleep when he did.
You had to admit you missed your little brother, you had always been there for each other even when you disagreed with each other. It was hard for you to stay away from Riverdale when he was arrested so soon after you left but Archie had convinced you to stay away. He always convinced you any problem in Riverdale was smaller than it was in order to stop you from leaving your current life to return to one you didn’t really want.
You contemplated calling him but you knew that he'd be asleep. That boy always tended to sleeping if he wasn’t with Veronica or facing whatever problem Riverdale currently had.
You put down your phone and walked over to your small portable radio to switch it on. Your footsteps pattered around the apartment whilst the quiet music began to fill the space.
You had work today but it wasn't until 8, it was a small bookshop a few blocks down so there was no need for your bike. Still you eyed your helmet and keys and wondered where to go.
You downed your coffee as the idea came to mind then grabbed your keys, heading down to the apartment blocks private garage.
The wind challenged you as you rode towards the smell of the ocean. You inhaled deeply as you pulled up to the sand, slowing down to eventually switch off your engine.
You had travelled all over the U.S. and some of Europe too but you always ended up somewhere near the sea. It was calming and even during these hotter months where the beaches became overcrowded and noisy, you somehow always found the most peaceful area or time to just come and sit.
You fought the urge to go swimming over the couple of hours you sat there due to the fact you knew you'd have to head to work shortly.
Tumblr media
“Morning (Y/n).” The son of the owners of the book store was sat behind the counter with an open book on his lap. He was about Archie’s age and was very polite and nice enough but you knew that he held a small crush on you which made it a little difficult to converse sometimes.
“Morning Jeffrey.” You smiled as you passed him to walk into the small staff room to place your bag inside.
“That book for your dad arrived yesterday afternoon while you were off.” Jeffrey hopped off his stool to collect the novel for you.
“Perfect. I wanted to write a note inside it before I sent it to him.” You explained to the boy about why you didn't just order it to your old home. It was that and the fact it was way more expensive to order the book to the house rather than the bookstore.
“Well if you need me to run it down to the mail for you, I’m heading there at lunch?” Jeffrey offered as he leant against the counter, close to your side.
“Thank you, Jeff, but I’ll probably write in it tonight and send it off before work tomorrow.” You passed on the offer which made the boy look a little disheartened but you brushed it off and asked what other orders came in yesterday so that you could start on calling the customers to inform them.
A couple hours into your shift you kept feeling your phone vibrating in your pocket. You excused yourself to use the bathroom and checked it to see it had 1 missed call from your Dad, 3 from your Mom, 2 from Archie and 3 from Jughead.
You called Jughead since his was the most recent number and he answered within two rings.
“Jughead? What the hell is going on? I’m at work and my phone’s been exploding with missed calls from you, my mom and Archie?” You didn’t bother with a hello since the calls seemed so urgent.
“(Y/n)...” Jughead swallowed. “(Y/n), you need to come back to Riverdale. It’s your dad...”
“My dad? What’s happened? Is he okay?” You felt your chest tighten.
“(Y/n), he... He died.”
The words spun around in your head like a marble in a bowl.
“Jughead... Whatever you’re playing at...” You started, trying, hoping, that this was some stupid game or prank.
“(Y/n), it’s true. Archie got the call from the hospital. He was in an accident. The details aren't clear at the moment but––” You hung up as Betty took Jughead’s phone and spoke the truth.
You threw your phone across the bathroom which resulted in your screen cracking but it didn't matter. All that matter was that your dad, Fred Andrews, was dead.
The events that followed were a blur.
Jeffrey sent his mother into the bathroom, an elderly woman with kind eyes and red hair. She found you collapsed on the floor with tears streaming down your cheeks and tried to help you as you gathered the words together to tell her what happened.
The next thing you knew was that you were at your apartment, packing a small rucksack full of essentials with your bike keys in your hand.
The only moment that became clear in your memory of that moment was when you pulled open your closet door to find your old Serpent jacket.
You held the rough leather material in between your fingers as you reminisced your old life. You ran the tips of your index and middle finger over the embroidered snake but only Fp’s face flashed before your eyes.
You pushed down the memories of the Serpents and continued to pack.
You didn’t know how long it took you to travel home. You knew you didn’t follow the speed limits but you didn’t care. You needed to be home. You needed to know if it were all true. Really true.
You passed the old sign at the border of the town and what felt like a hundred different emotions all seemed to hit you like once.
WELCOME TO RIVERDALE
You hadn’t stepped foot into the town in a couple years now. It felt like a whole new place now.
That is until you hit the top of your road where your old home resided.
You pulled up in front of the house and stared up at the front door with tears in your eyes.
Your dad's truck wasn't here.
“(Y/n)?” The door opened whilst you were lost in your head. Archie must've seen you from the window after hearing your bike pull up.
“Arch?” Your eyes met his with the question you didn’t want answered.
A tear fell from Archie’s eye. You immediately rush up the stairs and took him in your arms.
“(Y/n)?” Your mothers voice crept up behind Archie. It was almost a disbelief in her voice.
“Hi Mom.” You wiped your nose and faced her. In that moment, all hatred and betrayal washed away and you just wanted to be a family again.
The three of you held each other in the doorway, sharing the same pain, crying the same tears.
When you finally parted, Archie was the one to notice his friends had gathered outside.
“It’s good to see you, (Y/n).” Betty was the first to greet you. “It’s been too long. I’m sorry this is why you had to come home.”
You could see the pain in Betty’s eyes, the sadness, the sympathy.
“Me too.” You whispered, returning her hug.
Veronica then hugged you and so did Jughead but when Reggie made some comment about how good you looked you decided to leave them be.
You tiptoed up the stairs to your old room. It was just the same as you left it, not that you stayed in it much towards your final few months in Riverdale.
As you sat down on your bed, you looked towards the door, half expecting to see your dad’s head poke around it to check on you.
You heard commotion in the garden. Archie and his friends were all putting seats around in a circle and chatting.
“When things started getting bad with my dad and drinking, my mom would call up Fred... for help.” Jughead’s voice caught your attention as you sat by the window. “And he would drive to the bar, and he would pick up my dad and he'd lay him on the couch. And he'd always stay a little while... just to talk to me... to see how I was doing in school, and... if I'd eaten dinner. He just wanted to know if I was hungry. I always was.” The group chuckled lightly at Jughead’s comment but the story just reminded you of FP. How you looked after FP when Fred could no longer do it...
You wondered what he was doing. How was he handling this?
You mentally scolded yourself for thinking about him when you were Fred’s daughter. You should be thinking about you and the pain you feel.
You heard a knock at your door. It was your Mom.
“I thought you’d want to know about the accident.” She sniffled as she entered.
You nodded your head. You wanted to know if he died in pain, if it was his fault or someone else's, something else’s...
“FP spoke to the Sheriff at Cherry Creek. He knows all the details. I don’t know if I can––” Your mother broke down in tears once again and you found yourself comforting her with a short embrace.
“FP? Why would FP know the details?” You pulled away, a little confused.
“FP is Riverdale’s Sheriff.” She managed to string together. You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. You were almost convinced this was all some crazy nightmare.
“Okay. I’ll be back soon.” You hurried past your mom and down to your bike.
You were at the station within minutes.
Tumblr media
It took every ounce of energy you had left to walk through those doors at the station. Your feet felt like rocks being dragged through the mud at Sweetwater River.
The station was busy, people rushing around and talking to one another.
You found yourself outside the sheriff’s office, peering through the small glass window at a man you knew you recognised despite the khaki disguise.
He was on the phone, wrinkles frowned on his face and his eyes were glassy but focused.
You watched him put the phone down and pinch the bridge of his nose. He slid off the corner of his desk and moved around to his chair where he finally became horizontal to you.
His eyes finally lifted from his desk and upon seeing you, the colour seemed to drain from his face. It was as if he’d seen a ghost.
Suddenly, your flight mode kicked in and you turned to leave.
“(Y/n)!” FP’s voice seemed to freeze every joint in your body even though your mind was screaming at you to walk away.
“I only came to know what happened. What happened to my dad.” You couldn't stop the tears rising to your eyes but you refused to let them fall.
“Come... Come inside.” FP held his door open for you and you forced your feet to move in that direction.
“It’s, uh, good, good to see you.” FP seemed almost as nervous as you felt.
“It’s been–– Please tell me what happened.” You couldn’t do small talk right now. You were desperate. You wanted to know if it really were an accident.
“Fred was driving home to Riverdale when he pulled over to help someone's car that was stalled on the side of the road, and, uh... Another vehicle... came upon them way too fast and... He was struck by it.” FP could barely get the words out himself.
You buried your face into the palm of your hands as you broke down once again. He just wouldn’t ever say no to helping someone. And now he's dead because of it.
“I’m so sorry, (Y/N).” FP placed his hand on your back and the electricity almost made you jump backwards but you managed to stay sat.
“I kept dodging his calls. I hadn’t spoken to him in three weeks. I was sending him this stupid collectable book to apologise for my distance and now, now he’s... he’s...” You couldn’t help but let the words fall from your lips.
“Hey. Hey, now.” Fp pulled you towards him and you let yourself engulf in the man. His arms felt familiar, safe and warm. His scent flooded your nose which brought you some peace. “It’s alright.” He tried to assure you but seeing you in this much pain only made his pain worse.
You were even more beautiful than ever. His heart almost stopped when he saw your (y/e/c) eyes shining through the window. Sad but still bright.
“Sheriff?” The door swung open which made you pull away from the man out of habit. “Sorry to interrupt but there's a call waiting for you, sir.” The young deputy recognised you as Fred’s daughter and sent an apologetic look your way.
“I should be going. I shouldn’t be bothering the ex-Southside Serpent sheriff anyway.” You laughed a little trying to lighten the mood but nothing could lighten the darkness inside your chest.
You returned home and found yourself in your fathers closet.
You pulled out one of his favourite shirts and pressed it against your face. You hadn’t even gotten the chance to hug him since you last left Riverdale.
You pulled it on and retired for the evening to your bedroom.
Dreaming of you as a little girl in Pickins park with Betty as you took turns on the father/daughter potato sack race with your dad.
You woke in the morning to your mothers stern voice downstairs. She was clearly on the phone with someone who’d upset her.
You pulled yourself from bed and trudged down the stairs. You held on to the banister as you swung around to see your mom at the end of the hall in the kitchen on the house phone.
Your mother hung up before turning to face you. The irritation she once felt from the call had disappeared when she saw you stood at the bottom of the staircase with your father’s shirt on. You look almost as innocent and sweet as when you were a child, a picture image of you 8 years old in your dad's shirt to go play ball in the garden with your father and Archie came into her mind.
But today you were different to that little girl; dark circles clung to your eyes and  your skin seemed to dull in colour. You weren’t a little girl anymore, you were a woman, but it seemed that both of you were desperately wishing times were different in this moment.
“Who was that?” You asked, you didn’t realise how hoarse your voice was until you spoke, it must've been from the crying during the night.
“Your brother. He went all the way up to Cherry Creek to fetch your fathers body.” Your Mom sounded almost as shocked as you felt by the news.
With that, you darted back upstairs and grabbed your cell.
“Archie?” You were fuming as Archie answered your call.
“(Y/n)?” Archie responded.
“Why did you go to Cherry Creek? Why didn’t you say anything? Why have I travelled all the way back to Riverdale just to be alone?” The questions seem to leave your mouth like a flood. “He’s my dad too, Archie. You didn’t think I’d come with you to bring him home? I waited so long to see him and now it’s too late.”
“(Y/n), I’m sorry. I didn’t think you’d want––”
“––want to travel hours away to bring dad home? Want to see him as soon as possible?” Your voice broke as tears flowed from your eyes.
“I’m sorry, okay?! I had this nightmare and I left as soon as I woke up. I just couldn’t leave him here. I didn’t want you or Mom questioning or dictating to me about this journey. I’m sorry, (Y/n).” Archie sounded emotional himself. You wondered if he had seen your dad yet.
“What if I get on my bike and come up now? I’ll leave within minutes.” You suggested.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, (Y/n). It’ll take you a few hours to get here and by the time you arrive, we’ll be allowed to take dad and leave. You might as well stay there and make sure Mom’s alright. We’ll be back as soon as possible.” Archie discouraged your idea and as much as you hated it you knew it was best if you stayed and waited with your mother.
You heard the doorbell go off downstairs by the time you hung up the phone and got dressed for the day. You knew you had slept in your dad’s shirt but his scent clung to it so strongly you didn’t want to take it off.
The sound of high heels downstairs gave you an idea of who might have arrived so you weren’t surprised to see Cheryl and Toni in the hallway, embracing your mother.
“(Y/n)! Oh my god! Wait ‘till the Serpents hear your back!” Toni almost ran towards you when she saw you. You hugged the girl back and smiled at how grown and beautiful she’d gotten since you left.
“I’m terribly sorry for your loss, (Y/n), but I must admit seeing your face has made it a happier time for Riverdale.” Cheryl hugged you once Toni finally let you and all you could do was force a smile onto your face as you tucked your hands into your back pockets.
“The girls say they’ve come to ask us something.” Your mother chimed in.
“Actually I’m going to head out and look around town. It feels too heavy in this house without dad.” You admit, sending an apologetic look towards Toni.
“It’s alright. Maybe you can stop by Pop’s later and we can get some food and catch up?” Toni asked,
You just nodded before taking hold of the front door handle and escaping.
Just as you looked up from the concrete floor, leaning against the house door whilst letting out a deep breath of relief, there stood at the bottom of the steps on the sidewalk was FP.
You watched him remove his hat before stepping towards you.
“Are you alright?” He asked, his face full of concern.
“Just feeling a little claustrophobic.” You admitted you felt a little closed in with the visitors this morning.
“I see you kept your bike.” FP gestured to your motorbike on the side of the road.
“She took me all around the country. Broke my heart to leave her here for a while when I travelled Europe. I plan to take her to Italy in the future. I rode a bike there but it just wasn’t the same.” You found yourself talking about his gift to you with ease. It was the first conversation you had that wasn’t about your father.
“Wow, Europe? That’s further than most people from Riverdale get.” FP saw how you gushed over your bike and it made his heart squeeze knowing he was the one who got it for you.
He still couldn't believe you were stood in front of him. When you rode off and out of Riverdale he figured he wouldn’t be seeing you for a long time. Perhaps ever again.
You had grown in more ways than one. He could see the travel helped you find yourself or at least figure out yourself a bit better than Riverdale could ever do.
Even though you looked worn from the news of your father passing, he could see that you were comfortable in your skin, any insecurity you had previously shown was gone or hidden. He admired you from afar.
“How are you? How did you even become Sheriff? Are you seeing anyone?” You couldn’t help but let the last question be spoken aloud.
“Uh, it’s complicated.” His response seemed to answer every question. You noticed his eyes flicker to the Coopers household.
Alice.
“Do you, uh, do you want to get out of here?” You pointed your thumb down the direction of the street as you looked around.
“Um, (Y/n), I––” FP started, tugging on his belt loops with his thumbs as he too looked around but his answer only began to panic you.
“––No, it’s fine. I shouldn’t have asked. Things have changed, I get it.” You rambled on, hugging your arms around yourself as you retreated.
“I’d love to.” FP cut any more rambles from your mouth off.
“Your ride or mine?” You asked, nodding towards the sheriff wagon across the street.
FP chuckled and shook his head,
“Mine.” He made his way to the car, and opened the door for you.
The gesture was so small yet so large. Who was this man now? Has he changed much? His smile hasn’t changed. It never has.
He had his radio on quietly, probably so he wouldn't miss any calls on the police satellite. You tend to be busy as the sheriff of the town called Riverdale. This crazy, surreal like town.
“How’s Red handling it?” Fp asked,
“He, um, he went up to Cherry Creek last night. Arrived this morning to collect my dad. He didn't tell me or our mom. He just went with Jughead, Betty and Veronica and left. Called Mom this morning asking her to sign some paperwork so that dad could be released to Archie.” You stared out of the window as you spoke. The town floated by as if it hadn’t been bothered by Fred’s death.
“He what?” FP furrowed his brow as he looked over at you for a moment. “That boy...” FP started but you finished it with a light chuckle and a ‘I know’.
FP pulled off the main streets of Riverdale and toward the river.
“So, what happened the last time you spoke to your old man? You said you didn’t speak to him for three weeks after that.” FP was careful to poke due to the sensitive topic but for some reason, you felt calm enough with him beside you.
“Nothing. The usual, asking questions where I'm living, if I’m eating, have I met anyone? Have I got a job? But he kept talking about me coming to visit Riverdale now I was a little closer. He kept on about how much my Mom wants to see me and how happy it’d make Archie but... But I just didn’t know how to say that I didn’t want to come back yet.” You admitted honestly.
FP’s car wheels came to a squeaky stop as he pulled into Sweetwater River.
“I know it’s stupid and selfish and I should have come back when he asked. I mean he only wanted me to visit and now it’s too late. Now I can’t... He can’t... He’s not here.” You felt yourself crumble throughout the sentence and FP watched with tears in his own eyes.
“Hey.” He pulled you towards him, hugging you tightly. “It’s not your fault. You had only just got the hell out of here.” FP tried to comfort you.
You gripped onto his shirt as you buried your face into him.
“We all should have spent more time with him. Life likes to play these dirty games with us.” FP could feel the pain radiating from your body.
You seemed so small and fragile in his arms. You felt like the person you used to be right at the beginning of your relationship, when all you wanted to do was look after him and make sure he was alright. Now, he just wanted to make you feel alright.
“I remember when Fred found out that he was having a baby girl. He couldn’t have been more excited and terrified at the same time.” FP laughed softly, “Little did he know that little girl would grow up to be one of the kindest, strongest and damn-near smartest women in this town. Fred knew you were beautiful in and out, (Y/n). He believed you could do anything you wanted to.” FP explained, trying his best to bring some happiness to the memory of your father.
You pulled away slowly to look the man in the face. He took hold of your cheeks and tried to smile but you could see the sadness in his eyes.
“And I can’t believe that little girl grew up to change my life. She used all of her kindness and strength on a hopeless drunk who couldn’t hold down a job.” There seemed to be a hint of regret in FP’s eyes. Not regret for the relationship but perhaps regret that he had dragged you alongside him for so long.
“That man has turned out to be the sheriff today. Ex-king of the Southside serpents and sober. He helped me find a backbone and gave me something to fight for.” You argued with his negative outlook. “My dad must've been so proud to see you as big dog in Riverdale.”
FP lowered his eyes and shook his head with a smile.
“He wouldn’t have been proud much longer if he found out that his best friend had been in love with his only daughter.” FP’s words seemed to fall from his lips in slow motions as you processed what he had said.
You had no control over your body when you found your mouth meeting his, lifting his head back up.
FP didn’t expect the gesture but welcomed it as one hand found the back of your neck and the other squeezed your waist.
Your tongues danced together like two lost lovers had finally found each other again.
You tried to lean forward to press your chest against his but the position of the car seats wouldn’t allow it.
It was the police radio that interrupted you both, a deputy calling for ‘Sheriff Jones’ to return as there was new information on the Fred Andrews case.
You fell apart as quickly as you came together.
You shot your eyes down to your feet as you tried to catch your breath.
Fp stayed silent as he panted beside you.
The car came alive as he cleared his throat, pulling out of the famous riverside and back onto the main road.
You both remained silent until you pulled into the station.
Your skin felt like it was on fire from the passionate kiss but the news about the case overtook your thoughts.
You both rushed into the station and to the sheriff’s office where FP picked up the phone, dialling the Cherry Creek police.
You sat in the rigid uncomfortable chair opposite FP’s desk and bit down on your thumb nail as you waited anxiously.
You sat up in anticipation as FP hung up the phone.
“So?” You asked, your voice was soft, almost a whisper.
“The guy that hit Fred. He turned himself in this morning.” FP informed you, dialling a number on his cellphone.
“So they’ve got him? He’s off the roads?”
“He, uh, he made bail. He’s been released. It’s just how these things go sometimes.” FP could see the anger on your face when he said that the guy was released.
“But he killed my dad.” You felt sick knowing the man who killed your father was out walking around.
“And he’ll get justice for it.” FP said it in a way that you immediately it was a promise than a statement.
“I’m gonna call Red. Go ahead and inform your mother.” FP instructs you and you do as you’re told. Telling her only what you know.
When you returned to the office from taking the call outside, you could see the worry on FP’s face.
“What’s wrong?” You asked,
“Your brother. I think he’s gonna try and take justice into his own hands. I’m trying to get through to Jughead now.” FP held up his phone.
When Jughead finally answered, FP told him everything and Jughead said he’d take care of it.
“Jug will get to him. Archie might be mad but if they get to him first then no one should get hurt.” You tried to be optimistic. You didn’t want Archie starting a fight he might not win. Who knows who this guy is!
FP leant back in his chair and ran a hand over his face the way he usually does when he’s stressed.

“For some reason, it doesn’t feel real.” You murmured as you folded your arms across your chest and moved yourself in front of FP. Leaning back against his desk, standing between his legs.
“I keep thinking that I’ll go home and his truck will be there. He’ll be stood in the kitchen, buried in some paperwork with a beer bottle in his hand. He’ll moan at me for staying out so late and we’ll argue about how I’m an adult. But at the end of the night, he’ll still be leaning in bedroom doorway to say goodnight.” You didn’t realise you were crying against until the salty tears found your lips.
“This town’s not gonna be the same without him.” FP met your eyes with his own glassy ones.
“I didn’t tell him I loved him in three weeks.” You broke.
Fp rose to his feet and his hands squeezed your upper arms as he tried to get you to look at him.
“You didn’t need to say it. He already knew.” FP embraced you once again and you relaxed once more.
“Look, while you were on the phone to your mom, I got a call from Cheryl. She has this whole parade planned for when Archie returns with Fred. A special way to honour him and I gotta be the one to stop Archie from going straight into town. We’re gonna give him a police escort and let the town say goodbye.” FP thought the idea would give you something to look forward to. Something to be apart of.
“This town really loved him, huh?” You wiped at your nose and smiled sadly.
“Yes, they did. Now, if you’ll have me, I’d like for you to ride in the wagon with me out front.” FP knew it was a risky move but he knew you’d appreciate it.
You nodded your head, letting another tear slip from your eye.
FP caught it with his thumb.
The next thing you knew your lips were gently pressing against his.
Fp nor you could fight these feelings. Fp knew that if Alice or Jughead’s mom found out.... His thoughts seemed to disappear when your hands caressed his arms, leading up to your neck.
He deepened the kiss, closing the small space between you by lifting you up onto his desk. He fitted nicely between your legs and you arched your back against him as he kissed down your neck.
You internally rejoiced when you noticed the blinds on the office door were shut. Hopefully prompting anyone who needed to enter to knock.
You straightened back up to reclaim his lips as his hands moved up your shirt to your chest.
“FP.” You whispered, your hands were on his belt buckle but you didn’t make any movements to loosen it yet.
The pain of the past couple days seemed to melt away at the touch of one another. You were like each others morphine.
FP took the hint and yanked at your jeans, pulling them down your thighs to your ankles. You clawed at his belt, hissing when he brought you forward and sank his teeth into your shoulder.
You threw off your top and fixated your arms around the older man.
He could feel your want on the outside of your panties.
A moan escaped as his fingers brushed your sex as he moved your panties to one side.
“You have no idea how much I’ve needed this. You.” FP spoke against your skin as he pressed himself inside you.
You threw your head back for a moment before resting your forehead on the man’s shirt.
Fp lifted you slightly to get a better angle as he thrusted in and out of you.
He felt so good that the world around you seemed to become white.
“Fuck.” FP snarled as you rolled your hips against his.
His name left your lips as you both picked up the pace. You could feel yourself drawing close to climax already.
His hand buried itself in your hair and tugged as you bit down on your lip to stay quiet. Your cheek burned against his with the friction of his beard and the heat from you both.
With your bodies moulded together, the desperation of a release built.
You bit down on his shoulder as you unravelled, throbbing around him which only brought his release closer.
You let go of his shoulder and silently cursed at the wet teeth mark you left on his khaki shirt but you quickly forgot as he pulled his length from you and emptied his seed over your thigh.
He rested his forehead against you as you both caught your breath. You were glad you tore off your shirt as you were coated in a thin layer of sweat.
FP reached over to the box of tissues in the office and began cleaning up his mess.
He looked up from your thighs to catch something he had forgotten about on your shoulder.
A very obvious ‘M’ was scarred in your beautiful skin.
You watched him stare at you with a twisted look of pain. His thumb ran over the mark which made you flinch away slightly.
It was just a horrid reminder of what nearly happened that night. However, you refused to cover it with a tattoo as it also reminded you that you survived it.
You slid off the desk to tug up your jeans and scoop up your t-shirt.
You cringed slightly as you realised what you had done. You had thrown away your dad’s shirt to fuck his life long best friend on the sheriff’s desk.
FP must've noticed your face pale as he asked if you were okay.
You could hear his belt being done up and you muttered a swift apology about his shirt before turning the handle on the door.
“Hey! Wait!” FP called after you but you tried to escape the building as fast as you could.
As soon as you were out the station doors and the warm summer air hit you, you started sprinting.
You ran until your legs ached and when you finally stopped.
You were at the play park.
It wasn’t too busy considering what the day was.
You sat down on an empty swing and took a moment to catch your breath.
“I’m sorry, Dad.” You looked up at the sky as you spoke. You didn’t know whether you were happy he never found out about the affair or sad because all you did was lie to him for years.
The internal conflict you had only worsened the pain you felt.
“I didn’t expect to see you here.” The voice was enough to almost make you groan audibly.
“Don’t think anyone did.” You pressed your lips into a thin line as Alice approached you.
“No. I mean in the park. Of course, you’d come home for your fathers funeral.” Alice looked like she had been crying but her words were stable enough.
You didn't respond.
“I’m sorry for your loss, (y/n). Fred Andrews was one of the best men this town ever knew.” Alice stated.
“Yeah, thanks.” You pushed yourself off the swing and started to stride away from the woman when she caught your wrist.
“Hey, you need anything you let me know? You and Archie are as much family to me as my own.” Alice sent you a sympathetic smile and you couldn’t help but remember all the times you’d play with Polly and Betty at their house.
“Thank you, Alice.” You softened your words before turning to leave again.
“(Y/n)! (Y/n)!” Not long after you left the park you heard a man calling your name.
You faced the direction of the call to see FP shutting his car door to come towards you.
“I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Archie’s almost back.” FP announced.
“We better head to the edge of town then.” You brushed past his shoulder to enter the car.
“Hey.” FP took hold of your wrist and made you look at him. “What happened?”
“I just... I’m wearing my dad’s shirt today. It smells like him. I threw to the side to be close with you and when I picked it up... I couldn’t help but think about how much I’ve lied to him. How many lies I told and how many secrets I kept.”
“Sometimes we have to keep things from others to keep them from getting hurt.” FP’s eyes darkened at the mention of your secret relationship.
“There’s just so much I never said.” You sighed, closing your eyes to prevent any more tears.
“Fred knew all of the important stuff you needed to say. We all kept a few secrets and lied to your old man, that’s the way it is in this town. We can forgive ourselves for it or we can let it turn you into a sour old drunk that can’t even feed his kids.” Fp’s eyes flashed with regret and sadness from his past mistakes.
Your throat was locked shut so you just nodded your head.
“Let’s go get your old man.” Fp opened the car door and you followed.
You didn’t have to wait long on the side of the road before Archie emerged in a hearse with your dad’s truck, driven by Betty and Jughead, behind him.
Fp pushed himself off the front of the car where you both had sat to wait, you lifted your head from his shoulder to watch him stand and raise his hand to slow Archie down.
“Everything all right, Mr. Jones?”
“Everything's good, Red. I, uh, heard what you, and Jug, and the girls were up to, and I wanted to be a part of it. I'd like to give your dad a police escort the rest of the way home, if you're okay with that. He deserves it.”
“Yes, sir.” Archie looked past Fp to you. You smiled as much as you could manage and quickly wiped away any water escaping your eyes.
“All right. Follow me then.” Fp leaving Archie’s side gave you the signal to climb into the wagon.
As you drove towards town, you couldn’t help but hold FP’s hand. He held onto you tightly and gave your hand a tight squeeze here and there when he caught you getting emotional again.
“He’d be so happy to see you home.” Fp told you.
“I know.” You agreed.
That's when the parade became clear ahead.
You smiled as you cried silently to the cheers and appraisal your father was getting.
You couldn’t help but laugh as the Serpents all cheered loudly as you passed. You blew them all a kiss as a thank you.
You didn’t stop crying until you pulled up in front of the house.
All the signs and familiar faces tore at your heart and made you think about how well known Fred actually was.
He changed a lot of people’s lives and you were so thankful he was always apart of yours; as your father.
As Archie exited the hearse, you opened your own door.
You rushed to his side and wrapped an arm around his waist as he approached your mother.
“I couldn't leave him there, Mom.” Archie confessed, taking both you and your mom into a tight embrace
“I know.” Your mom said as she snivelled repeatedly.
“I brought Dad home.” Archie looked between you and your mother. You only smiled and tucked yourself under his arm.
“You did. You sure did. I'm so proud of you. I know he would be, too.” Your mom gushed, Archie pulled her back into the group hug and you all just stayed there for a minute.
Fp watched from a distance as you hugged your family and he knew that things would never be the same in Riverdale ever again. He once thought that when he saw you leaving but now, now he knew that he truly meant it.
“Hey, I found something in Dad’s truck.” Archie parted from the hug and dug into his pocket.
What he pulled out was a photo of you, Archie and your dad. All together. Happy.
You laughed weakly as you stepped towards your bike, pulling up the seat to get into the under compartment.
You put your hand into a small bag inside and out came the exact photo but more crinkled and torn. It has travelled with you always.
“I can’t believe he’s gone, Arch.”
“I know. Me either.” Your brother buried you in his chest and it wasn't the first time you felt like the younger sibling between the two of you.

The funeral didn’t take too long to put together and before you knew it, the casket was being walked towards you and your mother at the graveyard.
You watched your mother press a kiss against the closed casket as she lay her rose on top.
You were shaking when you found the courage to step forward yourself.
You wrapped your arms around the casket and pressed your cheek against the cold wood, letting your tears hit it below.
“I love you, Dad.” You were heartbroken. Here lay Fred Andrews, never to be seen again. Not outside of pictures or videos.
Archie had to be the one to come forward and move you along as the crowd watched with agony in their hearts.
“And now... Fred's son, Archie, would like to say a few words.”
You watched Archie take the podium with more strength than you could even muster that day.
“‘Uh, earlier I was thinking... on the drive over here... how much of Riverdale my dad built... or just fixed up. Houses, office buildings... A bit of everything. He helped build this town. And one day if I'm lucky enough to have a son or a daughter of my own... I'll be able to point to a building or even just a brick in the building, and say, "Your grandpa made that... with his hands."” Archie paused, you smiled at the idea of a little Archie running around Riverdale.
“It's the 4th of July. I remember this one th... it was raining. The fireworks show was canceled, and, uh, I was so bummed, I remember sitting in the backyard just bawling... Until my dad came home with all these fireworks. I mean, enough to burn our house down, you remember that, (Y/n)? Mom?”
You and your mother nodded with a smile as she took your hand.
“And, uh... we lit them in the backyard, it was just... it was the best night. My dad was here for every high and every low. He's the greatest man I've ever known. It hurts me that I never got to say goodbye. That I won't get to see him again or talk to him. But his spirit and his memory lives on... in this town, and in everyone he's met. Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale. I love you so much, Dad.” Archie finished his speech and you felt like you couldn't even move.
You felt horrible that you couldn’t say anything but you could barely get a word out without breaking down completely.
Once the funeral was over and you had returned to your childhood home, you went upstairs and draped one of your dad’s flannels over your shoulders and your dress.
“I miss you, Daddy.” You curled up on his side of the bed and buried your face into the sleeves of the flannel.
Archie could see you from the hall and he considered comforting you but the sight of you so broken was too much for him to bare at that moment.
You knew you couldn’t stay in Riverdale without Fred being there.
You knew you couldn't even stay a week just to stay with Archie.
You had spent so much time in the past fighting to stay in the town but now all it held was memories of your pain.
You returned to your room after what felt like hours, you must’ve fallen asleep at some point as you felt groggy when you finally lifted yourself up to gather your things together.
“You’re not staying for the fireworks?” Your mom appeared at your door.
“I can’t.” You tried to keep yourself composed. “I can’t, Mom. I can’t be here without him. He was always there. Always. When you left, when I'd fight against him, when I left. He was always right here.”
“I understand.” Your mom surprised you with her answer and even more with her hug. She kissed you on the cheek and pressed a smile onto her lips.
“I love you so much. Please don’t be a stranger in the future.” She begged,
You kissed her forehead as she lowered her head.
“I promise I won’t.”
As you moved away, you noticed she had changed and redone her makeup.
Archie was downstairs from what you could see from the top of the stairs and he too was dressed up.
You descended with your mothers hand in yours and your bag in the other.
“We’re about to start...” Archie’s words trailed off when he saw you were holding your bag.
“I’ve got to go. I’ll visit you real soon little brother.” You placed your bag down as Archie watched.
“Already?” Archie pouted,
“I have too. We all have our ways of coping. I can’t move past this if I stay here. I can’t stay here without him.” You were honest with your little brother.
You awaited an explosion but Archie followed in your moms footsteps and simply hugged you.
“Promise me this isn’t the last time I’m going to see you.” Archie whispered against my ear.
“I promise.” You kissed his cheek and pulled away. “Tell the others it was good t see them.” You didn’t want to deal with any more goodbyes.
“I will. You ready?” He turned back to his mom and she said she was.
You didn’t stay to watch them head out to the garden to watch the fireworks.
You put on your helmet and mounted your bike.
As you drove away, you smiled as you saw the fireworks in your wing mirror.
At the end of the road you noticed FP’s sheriff car parked and FP dressed in his usual get up of jeans and a flannel.
“Didn't think you could skip town again without a goodbye.” FP smirked as you stopped your bike.
“How’d you know I’d leave tonight?” You rose your voice enough to be heard over the fireworks.
“’Cause...”  He shrugged and swaggered towards you.
“You think you can just smile at me and everything will be alright?” You removed your helmet as you spoke.
“I wanted to tell you something. Something I should have said a long time ago.” Fp only grew closer to you.
“I’m all ears, Sheriff Jones.”
“I loved you, (Y/n). I always loved you. You were this unexpected gift that came into my life and kicked the crap out of the old me. You taught me what it was like to feel again. You were better than any drink I had ever had.” FP began to confess to you. “I know I didn’t deserve you and I know we can never be together in the way I wanted to but those many months of my life with you by my side. My Serpent Queen. They were some of the best days of––”
You kissed the man after hearing the words you had always wanted to hear.
You knew he loved you that time ago but he never said. Never told you.
“I loved you too, FP Jones.” You let your lips part from his slowly as you breathed out the words.
“Keep on fighting. You’re stronger than you know.” FP pressed his forehead against yours as he looked into your eyes.
Those eyes. Those hypnotic eyes.
“Stay out of trouble. Don’t make me come back and kick your ass back into shape.” You half-kidded.
FP sighed and kissed you once more.
“I’m forever yours, FP Jones.” You let the man know as you backed away from him back towards your bike.
He watched you climb back on but before you replaced your helmet he remembered something...
“Wait.” FP pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and as he got closer with a slow jog, you realised it was the polaroid. “It’s your turn to keep it.”
You took the photo without any fight and tucked it into your jacket.
“Look after yourself, Jones.”  You brushed your lips against his as you held his cheeks between your fingers.
“Don’t break too many hearts, (Y/n) Andrews.” FP took a step back.
“Can't make that promise.” You winked. The only heart that ever mattered to you was his.
You revved your engine as you finally rode away.
Watching the man only disappear in your mirror as the fireworks only continued.
The End.
AN: That’s a wrap folks. I hope you enjoyed this story and I hope this ending wasn’t too awful for you all. I want to say that I hope all of you are safe and doing well. I hope those who are rioting are staying safe and protecting themselves. This chapter is dedicated to Luke Perry may he rest in peace. Goodnight my lovely readers and thank you once again for reading.

i know you get me, so i let my walls come down // you brought me to life
growing up as a hydra experiment meant you had a pretty nonexistent childhood. the team believed that it was your shared lack of childhood that allowed you and natasha to be so close. the team weren’t all wrong, the fact that both of you had a similar past definitely helped you have a deep mutual understanding of each other. but it was also the thrill of it all, because when you were together, you both felt so free, so alive. you felt things for and with natasha that you never even knew the name of.
natasha has seen you at your worst, literally. beaten and close to death in a hydra cell was not the kind of first impression you’d wish to have with anyone. you’ve seen her at her worst too, when she’s so overcome with emotions that her automatic response was to shut down. but you never pushed, you just made sure you were there, ready to give her whatever she needed or wanted. turns out a lot of times she just wanted to be held, your arms were her safe space. both of you had your walls built high but when it was just the two of you, the walls came tumbling down and you knew that no one else would see you like natasha did.
now every february you’ll be my valentine // no regrets, just love
you used to hate february, because it was the month you got adopted by hydra agents with the promise of a family but instead you were made into an experiment. ironically, you were saved on the 14th of february, something you didn’t learn until you were dragged out by natasha to go shopping for a gift for yourself. she explained that she wanted to commemorate the one year mark of you being rescued and joining SHIELD, who were you to say no? as if you could ever say no to natasha to begin with.
you ended up getting your ears pierced and went home with a pair of emerald green gem earrings which reminded you of natasha’s eyes. you never took them off, not until she gave you another pair of earrings a year later, just that it was no longer just the anniversary of you meeting, it was also a valentine’s day gift. it became a trend, for her to get you earrings every year on the 14th of february. except for the one year she pulled out a ring whilst on one knee to propose. of course you said yes, no regrets, no hesitation because it was natasha and when you were with natasha all you could feel was love.
you and i, will be young forever // you make me feel like i’m living a teenage dream
it was safe to say that your inner child came out when with natasha. with the others, you were always hesitant to act out that way in fear of being judged. but for some reason unknown to you, it was never like that with natasha. while the red room took away most of the redhead’s childhood, natasha clung to several memories from her time in ohio or when she was sent undercover for certain missions as child. she knew that unlike her, you were kept in a cell, the most normal thing you experienced was the classes you had with other kids, kids who eventually didn’t survive hydra’s experiments.
so natasha made it a point to do things with you, bringing you to amusement parks, arcades and all the fun things you had missed out on. not only does she enjoy seeing your childlike wonder, being able to bask in such moments of normalcy feels like a dream most days.
let’s run away and don’t ever look back
loud laughter echoed through the halls as you ran away from wanda who was hot on your tail. you had stumbled onto her cuddling into vision, fast asleep whilst the android was watching a sitcom. you had snapped a picture but accidentally left the flash on, so now wanda was chasing you down to get you to delete said picture.
you made a sharp turn and collided straight into natasha who was quick to steady you. when you heard your best friend’s shouts way too close for your liking, you hurried behind natasha, using her as a human shield. wanda rounded the corner and she gulped visibly when she natasha standing there, an amused smile on her face.
“natttt, y/n took an unflattering picture of me!” wanda whined as she glared at you. you rolled your eyes in response.
“it was a cute picture!” you defended yourself, arms snaking around your fiancée’s waist, knowing wanda wouldn’t dare cross the redhead. natasha just shook her head as she prepared to play peacemaker between the two of you, this happened more times than she could count but she also knew you and wanda would go back to normal within a couple hours or so. the two of you always acted like siblings, teasing each other and getting the other riled up.
my heart stops when you look at me
it was finally the day. after months of planning and praying that no alien invasion would disrupt your wedding, you were finally getting married to natasha. it was a simple ceremony, just the two of you and the avengers family as well as natasha’s family. when natasha received the strange red color vials from yelena, she was quick to track down her younger sister. much to the team’s annoyance, natasha insisted that she wanted to do it alone only allowing you to tag along because god knows what you would’ve done if natasha snuck out behind your back. you and yelena became fast friends, and after the red room was properly destroyed she was recruited into the avengers.
now, as clint walked you out of the back door of tony’s lake house to where the ceremony was being held in his backyard, you could’ve sworn your heart stopped in that very moment. natasha was dressed in a beautiful white dress, it was simple and fit her body beautifully. natasha took one look at you and willed herself not to cry, you looked absolutely breathtaking and she couldn’t believe that you were hers.
i finally found you, my missing puzzle piece // i’m complete
the ceremony went smoothly, and now it was time for the vows. natasha gave hers first, and her grip on your hands was tight as she spoke. when she was done, you were quick to pull her hands up to your lips to plant a soft kiss on her knuckles. taking a deep breath, you started on your own vows.
“natasha romanoff, i vow to be with you through all the good and the bad. to be with you at our happiest times and also at our lowest. you saved me all those years ago, at a point in time where i thought that being in a cell was going to be all my future had to offer. you saw something in me that not even i could see, you believed in me when i didn’t even believe myself. everyday, you continue to save me, love me and for that i am so eternally thankful. i finally found the one person that makes life worth living, you’re the one that makes everything make sense, you are my missing puzzle piece. you complete me in a way i never thought plausible. so thank you for never giving up on me and i vow to be with you through it all, to always be with you whenever you need me. to make you your coffee just the way you like it or tea if it’s late and you want to relax. i will always treasure you and love you, thank you for being my everything, for forever and always.”
when the pastor finally pronounced you two as married, you met in a sweet kiss, tears slipping down both your cheeks.
in a lifetime where it felt like love and a life such as this was simply a dream, the two of you found each other and made dreams become a reality.

Confidence was always a sore skill for you, you never knew how to not be too much, and often ended up being not enough. You honestly did not know where you got all the confidence earlier. This drive is proof enough, after your moment with Wanda you retreated into your shell. It was then and there that ironically you realized you knew basically nothing about the girl. Trauma aside you knew nothing, and if you know anything about trauma it's that it does not define you. You were curious as to who she actually was, and by the glimpses you’ve seen you knew you wanted to see more. Whatever it was however miniscule the detail was you wanted to know everything about the girl you were slowly but surely developing a crush on. You were pulled from your thoughts by said girl leaning forward to turn on the radio. It wasn’t long before you three were singing at the top of your lungs to Katy Perry's Teenage dream.
You didn’t miss the pointed meaningful looks that Pietro was sending your way. Even though he was protective of his sister, he loved you too so the smile stayed on his face the entire ride to the lake. Once you got there Pietro was the first one off to try and unload the boat, key word try. He was back not even ten minutes later calling you, well more like screeching your name till he caught your attention. You laughed when you saw the line waiting on Pietro, you laughed knowing that if he had asked anyone in that line for help they would not have hesitated. “Alright ‘Mr. I-can-do-it-by-myself’ What seems to be your issue?” You ask teasingly. “Well outside of the fact that I have no idea what I’m doing, nothing.” He replies with an easy smile. You nod. “Get on the boat, I'll drop you in.” You tell him as you make your way to the truck. After a short bout you finally get your boat in which elicits a crowd to clap. “Seems like you have quite the audience.” Wanda says as she walks up behind you. “You have no idea… your brother is incompetent.” You say pointedly as Pietro who is now walking up to you on the dock. She chuckles and nods. “You’re not wrong unfortunately.”
That last comment caught you off guard, but she seemed to shrug it off so you did as well. The party didn’t really start till later in the day so the three of you settled for pregaming, before other people got to your alcohol which you all knew was inevitable. “You know Y/n I didn’t know you were rich.” Wanda points out seemingly finally having caught on that you had a very nice boat, car, and house for that matter. You nod not really wanting to get into the subject, but then she smiles at you and your lips just seem to move. “Yeah well It’s a not so well hidden secret my parents died but left us set for life.” Wanda and Pietro’s eyes widen in surprise, but you’re too far gone to even notice. “My father was very close to Tony Stark. You’ve probably heard of him. He kind of picked us up after they died. He made sure any and all business dealing with my father were completed, he gave us the money and his shares in the company.” You didn’t even notice the twins flinching at the name. You finally break out of your daze and head to the other side of the boat to sit. Some odd hours later you moved the boat down to where they were all gathering, and anchored down.
You started the music and started to dance. It wasn’t long before you saw Wanda again. You smiled at her, but she just turned and walked away towards the other side of the boat. You wanted to go after her, but decided not to when people started joining your boat. Wanda had left you, she felt bad for ignoring you, but she could not physically bring herself to go back up. How was she supposed to look you in the eye after what you told her, the man who killed her father and mother, saved you. “It’s not her fault Wanda.” Pietro says seemingly knowing exactly what she was thinking. “She probably hasn’t even made the connection yet.” He points out like it was obvious, and maybe it was but she didn’t want to hear it at least not now. “Fine then Wanda… If you need me I’m going to spend time with my best friend Y/n who is leaving to god knows where after this trip.” She knows Pietro is right completely so she gathers her bearings and prepares herself to see you again.
After a couple of minutes of you dancing alone you feel someone join you on the dance floor bumping hips with you. “Pietro I didn’t know you had moves! Where did you keep these hidden?” You ask teasingly. “What do you mean, you know all my best moves.” You only laugh. It wasn’t long before you and Pietro got separated. Respectively you get pulled away by a group of women having the time of their lives, meanwhile Pietro gets pulled away by a rather aggressive girl. You met his gaze and he was asking for help, you wanted to, you really wanted to help (no you didn’t). You recognized the girl as soon as she boarded, you felt safe with a group, leaving Pietro to fix his own mess. Who you were actually worried for was Wanda you hadn’t seen her science she avoided you. You started canning the area but she was nowhere to be found, when you found her she saw you first. That is when you notice the somewhat compromising position you were in. She just shoots you a small smile and makes her way towards the drinks and her brother. “Hey… I’m sorry if I said something that made you uncomfortable.” You say to her when you reach her. She turns and shakes her head. “You didn’t say anything wrong I-i just got a headache.”
You just nod. “Well I’m going to go give your brother a hand…” She finally spots him and immediately grimaces. “Yes, I would go but that woman looks a little unhinged.” She says, which just puts you more on edge. “But I’m sure you can handle it.” She says as she pats your shoulder. You glare at her. “Go on, I'll be waiting here.” Her smile is all but challenging you. You nod. Walking up to them you hear the woman go on and on about kids. “Our kids would look so beautiful, with your eyes and my smile.” She says enthusiastically. You walk up behind him and slide your arm around his waist. “Hi honey, I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” You physically feel Pietro relax in your arms. “What's this I hear about kids?” You question looking at the woman for her answer, as she was about to answer when you cut her off. “I miss the kids too, actually you know what honey we should call them up a little later, don't you think?” He chuckles and nods. “Just in time for bed time…” At that last part the woman was stomping away. Not long after that Wanda walks up to the both of you. “Right what did you tell her, I could see the smoke coming out of her ears.” You turn to Pietro and laugh. “Who knew a wife and kids could be such a turn off.” Her eyes widen, but she laughs along shortly after.
You didn’t notice the look she was giving Pietro, but he did and boy was he going to milk this. He sends his sister a smirk and a wink before he turns to you. “So Mrs. Maximoff what will it be, wait let me rephrase that… Darling, sunshine, love of my life?” You smile at his antics and play along unaware that Wanda was glaring dagger into the side of Pietro's skull. “Darling? You know Paul and Sarah would be so happy right now.” He laughed remembering why. “Paul hyped you up so much, I just had to meet this Y/n he kept talking about.” You laughed. “Wanda, tell your brother it's never going to happen.” By the time you look back at her she is flustered beyond belief but still manages a tight smile for you. “Pietro, you heard the woman lay off!” She emphasizes the last part. “I’ll go get us some drinks before they drink it all, I'll be right back.” You tell them watching as the party goers raid your mini fridge. “You need to tell her sestra… she’ll leave before you know it and then you’ll regret it.” She says as he shoves her shoulder. “Are you sure you don’t want her to stay? Because you looked very comfortable in her arms.” She seethes her brother finally meeting her fiery gaze.
“It’s all fun and games sestra, but you’re jealous. Aren’t you?” She made a double take. “I-i I’m NOT! I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He smiles. “Alright then you won't have a problem if I go back and ask Y/n for another one of deliciously warm embraces.” He goes to walk off in your direction, but she grabs her brother firmly by the wrist. “Don't!” She says simply. Pietro’s gaze moves from her when. “Then you might want to make your move before that woman does.” Her eyes fly to your frame when she notices a woman all over you, you promptly remove the woman's hands from your body and all but run away. “That's it everyone off my boat!” She watches as you unceremoniously kick everyone off the boat. “Time for some scary stories!” You say as you make your way towards the twins. “Oh I want to go first!” Pietro excitedly jumps up and down in place. One story turned into two then three, but you did notice that Wanda would not meet your gaze. Any and all attempts at making a conversation with her died with her. The next day was much the same: you wanted to talk to Wanda but she would avoid you. The same girl from yesterday found her way back on the boat only this time she did introduce herself.
“I’m Natasha, and I would like to apologize for yesterday.” She motions to the area you were in yesterday. “Yes, well you did catch me a bit off guard.” You joke and she laughs. “I would really like another chance with you, you seem like a great person.” You smile and nod as you extend your hand out for her to take. “Well It’s a pleasure to officially meet you Natasha, I’m Y/n.” She takes your hand and kisses your knuckles. “Likewise Y/n.” You didn’t even have time to process what Natasha was doing before Wanda was at your side pulling you away for some very important reason. She lets go of your hand when she deems it's enough distance between that woman and you. She hands you a beer, you don’t question it and sit there with her in comfortable silence. You indulged her for a while until you got bored and turned to face her. You moved your body to face her and waited until she acknowledged you. “You know, your staring is getting very creepy.” She says playfully you only roll your eyes. “Alright Maximoff lets work on this handshake business, because I'm getting bored.” It took her a while to react to your words, but when she did you could swear that you felt your heartbeat out of your chest. “Alright Y/n let's see what you’ve got.”
The previously mentioned drinking did not help with your situation at all. Any type of hand eye coordination was gone at this point. “NoOoo WanD-SA yoU nEEd tO go do-wwn, anD mE gOEs Up.” You chastise when you get it wrong for the millionth time it seems. “Y/nnnn… This is not working.” She says playfully. You gasp lightly when you notice that the sun is going down. You tap Wanda’s shoulder and point towards the sunset. Her attention shifts to the sunset before you, and you can’t for the life of you find it in you to look away. She looks back at you for a moment and silently asks you what you’re looking at. “Well, I-ii your eyes look so pretty.” You say quietly and you almost think she didn’t hear you when you see the small blush on her cheeks. She murmurs a quick thank you and nods before looking back at the sunset. You sigh and turn your attention back to the sun. You shuffle slowly closer to her, at first she stiffens when she feels your body on hers but ultimately she relaxes. You move your head to rest on her shoulder, it’s not long till you succumb to your tiredness and fall asleep. When Wanda notices she sighs and moves to move your hair out of your face before settling once again.
“You are going to be the death of me Y/n.” She mumbles quietly before kissing your temple. When you wake up you’re sprawled on the ground and very much feeling the effect of a hangover taking a toll on your body. The next couple of days Wanda acts strange with you, but she doesn’t avoid you anymore so you take that as a win. You’re up for jet ski racing, Pietro stepped out last minute and asked Wanda if he could join you. Before the race started she sent you an award winning smile and you could swear that time stopped right then and there. Before you knew it she was halfway across the lake and you just sat there and watched her. She was laughing and you could not help, but scoff. She knew what she was doing. “What happened back there slowpoke?” She asks with a smug smile on her face. Oh shut up, no one likes a cocky winner.” You state a pout forming on your lips. “And no one likes a sore loser Y/n.” She teases further. Before you could say anything else Pietro waltzes up to you both with a wide grin on his face. “Well ladies, it looks like you two will be making the trip back home alone.” You nod smiling at him. “Who’s the lucky lady?” You ask teasingly. He shuts his mouth and zips it, turns the key, and tosses it away.
“Right then pretty boy, help me load up the boat?” It wasn’t long before you two loaded up the boat. You're sitting in the driver's seat waiting for Pietro to walk up. “Well you’re all set.” He says patting your arm. “Well then Pietro I’ll see you before I leave right?” You ask. He nods sharply. “Of course I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” You nodded and pulled out of the lake and started the drive home. You thought it would be awkward and weird being in a car alone with Wanda, but surprisingly it wasn’t. She made any and all attempts to keep you talking, you didn’t realize that she was holding your hand the whole way there and she never once let go. You couldn’t help but smile every time that you looked at your hands intertwined. Her smile was captivating and you were having a hard time keeping your eyes on the road. Luckily you made it safely to her home and you got off to walk her to the door. “We didn’t get to finish our handshake.” Wanda says slowly. You nod slowly with a small smile on your face. “I guess not…” She goes to walk past you, but you grab her arm. You cup her cheeks and lean in. When she doesn’t stop you, you kiss her. When she kisses you back you feel like you're on cloud nine. If you could physically stay there with her in your arms you would. Unfortunately the need for oxygen became imminent. You pulled away slowly and pressed your forehead on her. “That was much better than a handshake.” You say quietly, and she chuckles. “I would have to agree, Y/n.” You breathe in trying to take in the moment. “Wanda… Run away with me.”

or else they better dig two | b.b.
summary: the man standing before you was not your husband. not in the slightest. However, he was sorry. so fucking sorry. his white eyes showed you that.
pairing: bucky barnes x wife!reader
warning(s): angst, major wounds, kinda zombie!bucky?, main character/variant death, the ol’ winter soldier but 10x worse. bucky’s variant is from earth-807128 and, lemme tell ya, it is absolutely brutal in that universe.
a/n: um, yea, well, decided to give this a try. it’s short but simple. inspired by The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two”.
Tumblr media
It had been almost two months since you last seen your husband. Five weeks since he went complete radio silent. And thirteen days since his identification marker disappeared off the grid.
You were quite concerned, to say the least.
A few times would Bucky not answer for days at a time. The longest was five weeks, but that was before he sent you a surprised "I'm coming home bby" text, and his tiny bright-red marker sparkled as he grew closer to both New York and you.
But his ID marker had never disappeared off the S.H.I.E.L.D intel atlas. Not once during his entire career as an Avenger/S.H.I.E.L.D agent. That’s why you knew something was wrong. Terribly wrong.
You could feel it, deep in your bones. It made you feel a little sick.
Nick Fury was instantly made aware of this situation. He spent ten minutes just staring at the screen before directing both Steve and Sam to pack up. They would be deployed to Bucky's last known location and do a thorough areal search. It could be several reasons why he isn't showing up anymore, Maria Hill murmured, From a possibly fatal wound to an enemy ambush.
"Don't worry," she said with a tight-lipped smile that did not reach her eyes, "We'll find him. Or, better yet, Steve will. Cap would not allow his best friend to vanish off the face of the earth again. You know that. I know that. Everyone in this compound knows it."
With nothing really left to do, you wished Steve and Sam a bit of good luck and assured them that you’d update with anything new that came up in the database. It would take them roughly eight hours to reach Belgrade. Time was ticking. You felt nauseous.
Three days later, you received a much-needed update that didn’t do anything to alleviate your fears. Bucky's S.H.I.E.L.D-issued backpack was dug up near a desolate cabin within the Molin Forest. Scrapes of dark blood splattered the cabin's flooring, along with the most overpowering and appalling smell. It smells like a...like a dead body, Sam stated, covering his nose. Beside him, Steve dropped his head.
Tony left the room and Natasha threw her arms around you, holding you close as you wailed. Fury gave them the choice: come back home or search for the body.
They chose the latter. But they could not locate the remains of your husband. of your Bucky.
You felt nauseous again.
It had been almost three weeks since then. Condolences begin to pile in. “I am so sorry…It must be so devastating to lose your husband…To be a widow this young…If there is anything I can do….”
Then, the U.S. Army reached out, requesting if you wish for your husband to be buried in Arlington.
“He’ll be laid to rest alongside other members of the WWII Howling Commando Unit. There will be a plot next to him, reserved for you as his wife, of course.”
It was almost too much to take.
You want to scream and shout and cry because your husband is not dead, dammit.
To take your mind off of the most… recent issues, you decide to tuck yourself away inside your bedroom and reorganize the closet. On the left side, your clothing. On the right, Bucky's. You color-coordinated his Henley's and straightened up his boots, wondering if you should polish them as well.
No. Bucky prefers for his boots to be scuffed up. He likes to see the tiny scratches when the sunlight hits them. They’re like ‘little badges’ as he jokingly says.
You leave them alone and move on to the next.
As you're folding away shirts into the dresser, you hear a slight stumble outside. It sounds like someone almost tripped. You immediately stop what you're doing and listen. The footsteps are heavy against the hardwood. You could recognize them from a mile away.
"Bucky!" You shriek, feeling like crying from utter relief as you run towards him. "For the gods' sake, Bucky! You fucking terrified me! Where were you-" You suddenly stop in your steps, eyes widening in horror.
“Bucky?”
It's Bucky. But it's... it's not your Bucky.
Your hands are quick in an attempt to trap the ghastly scream that escapes your mouth. Somewhere, in the background, you can hardly make out FRIDAY asking if you require immediate emergency assistance.
It won't help, you think. It won't do jack shit.
Because Bucky is standing before you, 6′ft or so in the Winter Soldier suit.
Thick, ebony leather from neck to toe, with numerous weaponry and devices strapped to his waist. One thigh holds a pistol, his back carries another. His old metal arm, the one with the red star, hums with electricity. Over his mouth is the same black muzzle, which hides away the majority of his face. It leaves just his eyes to be seen, a pale white that is practically blinding.
“Bucky...”
A fat tear drips down your cheek as you take notice of the pitchfork buried deep in his chest. It's still fresh, blood trickling onto the floor. It matches the dried red along his scalp.
Yet, despite all his injuries and everything, Bucky stands motionless, every so often a twitch in his shoulders.
"Bucky...Oh, gods, what did they do to you, baby?"
He blinks, once, twice, four times. You stand, hushed, as you await his next move. Then, the skin between his brows creases, and he mumbles something. It's muffled, it's weak, yet you can hear it perfectly.
It's your name.
"Kill me. Kill me. Kill me..."
"Do it. Do it. Do it…"
"Please. Please. Please..."
You cannot move, nor can you think. Instead, you feel that familiar urge to suddenly vomit. When he sees that you haven’t done anything, he recites his pleas, each one a massive stab at your heart.
"Kill me. Kill me. Kill me..."
"Do it. Do it. Do it…"
"Please. Please. Please..."
You take a deep breath, biting back a large sob. In the back, amongst the walls, FRIDAY lets you know that Steve, Sam, Natasha, and Clint are rushing their way up to your floor.
“Do not worry, Mrs. Barnes. An on-site emergency medical team is on its way. ETA five minutes.”
But you know that any attempts would all be in vain.
There is no saving this Bucky, whoever he may be with these white eyes. You hope Steve will understand when he enters and sees the aftermath. Maybe he will if he realizes that this Bucky wasn’t yours, you tell yourself as you reach for the gun at your side.
And this would’ve been your last choice in any scenario given.
"I’m so sorry but I won’t have you endure this any longer. I’m better than that. I know it’s painful. Don’t worry, though, I will avenge you. Steve will avenge you. We‘ll all avenge you.” You raise your gun, finger heavy on the trigger.
He makes a deep drawl that kind of resembles a Steeevvvieee?
You nod, blinking back tears, “If we meet again, I beg you, please forgive me...”
A second later, Bucky collapses to the ground, forehead wet with new blood.
“Th...Thankkk...Yooouu...”
You have to remind yourself that this wasn’t your Bucky. Your Bucky isn’t dead on the floor with a bullet in his brain and a pitchfork in his chest. He’s gonna come back, you repeat, rocking yourself back and forth as you eye all the blood pooling around the body.
That wasn’t him.
It was not.
He’s gonna come home.
Or else they better dig two.
