It's About Time

“I’ll pick you two up from here in an hour.” My mom said to me and Missy get out of her car. I had started hanging out with her more since I couldn’t stand to be around Georige since he was dating someone else. From what Mrlowe and I could tell our plan was somewhat working. Jana would give me mean looks in the hallway.
I held open the door for Missy and she skipped into the sporting goods store. “So why are we here? Ohh do you want me to throw a baseball at him?”
“We talked about that already. It’s still no.” I sent her a half glare and the smirk dropped from her face.
Someone came around the corner and stands at the front glass case with the cash register seeing us looking around the sports store. “Can I help you find something?” The man was almost bald with grey hair wearing a green shirt and blue jeans with boots.
“I was just promised ice cream when her mom picks us up.” Missy shrugged her shoulders.
I stepped forward leaning my elbows on the counter top. “Mr. Ballard, I was hoping to see if I could get an after school job here. If you’re hiring of course.”
“I actually am. I’ll give you an application to fill out and bring back to me. The sooner I get it back the sooner I can get you started here, uh..”
“Y/n, Y/n L/n.” I introduced myself where he stuck his hand out shaking mine.
He nodded heading to the backroom coming back with the paperwork before we heard my moms horn honk from outside. “Dale Ballard. Hope to see you on Monday.”
Exiting the sporting store we got back in my moms truck and she drove us back to her house. Missy and I went into her and Sheldon’s room so she could grab her baseball glove. “Are you sure I can’t throw a ball at my brother for you?”
“Missy!” I scolded her.
She shrugged her shoulders, tossing me a ball so I could throw some hits at her. “I’m just saying it might work.”
“I already have my plan in motion.” I raised my hand back, throwing it at her.
She caught the baseball in her glove. “Okay.”
The front door opened where I dare to turn my head and see Georgie walking out with his car keys in his hands until he paused in his steps. “What are you two doing out here?”
“Just baseball.” I answered him clutching the glove I was wearing. “What are you doing?”
He shrugged his shoulders. “Gonna go hang out with Jana.”
“Oh! That’s great.” I bared my teeth hearing that name.
He nodded, tossing his keys from one hand to the other for a few seconds before he saw me not saying anything more. “Well I’ll uh see you around.”
“Yeah see ya, Cooper.” I clicked my tongue and he got in his car driving off while I kicked the grass with my shoes.
Missy called my attention back to her. “Y/n, why can’t you just hang out with my brother like you used to?”
“It’s kind of hard to explain except this way. Being a grown up sucks. So enjoy the years of being a kid.” I said back to her with a gentle smile thinking back on when things were easier between me and her older brother.
Georgie and I were watching Ducktales on the tv in the living room laying on the couch. Missy came in from the kitchen with a red notebook in her right hand. “Can you two help me with my homework?”
“You’re asking me. I don’t understand my own homework.” Georgie asked her muting the tv with the remote.
Missy admitted. “Yeah but you’re all I got.”
“What kind of homework is it, Missy?” I asked the young girl.
She held up the book away from her chest. “Grammar.”
“I ain’t great with grammar.”
I shifted sitting up on the couch giving my best friend a sympathetic look to help his sister. “Georgie, come on. At least give it a shot.”
“Grammar is just talkin’ and we talk good.” Missy sat down on the other side of her brother so the three of us were sitting upright on the couch before she handed him the book. “There’s a list of sentences and you’re supposed to say if each one’s a complete sentence or not.”
Georgie eyed the book, shutting it after reading the pages for a few seconds. “I don’t think I can help you.” He hands it back to his sister.
Missy started walking back to the kitchen but turned around with a frown. “Do you think we’re stupid?”
“Sheldon’s in high school at nine years old and we can’t figure out your homework. What do you think?” Georgie sighed heavily unmuting the tv until I snatched the remote from his hand. “Y/n!”
I sent him a glare keeping the remote away from his grasp. “Try and help her. Then you'll get this hack.”
“Sometimes I tell myself I only look stupid because he’s so smart.” Missy responded to her brother where he finally answered her.
“Give me the book.” She sat down handing it to him. “So the first one on your homework is most people in the country.”
“I don’t see an action word. Georgie , I don’t think this is a sentence.” Missy paused reading over it.
He hands her the pencil and her book. “Put a verb in there, girl.”
The next day Georgie and I were laying on his bed playing Uno until a piece of paper slipped underneath his shut bedroom door. He got up from the bed unfolding the paper where I asked him, seeing him grinning ear to ear. “What does it say?”
He turned it around to show me that the paper read 100% written in red marker with a smiley face. “That’s amazing, bestie!”
“Did you cry when you saw it?” Missy’s voice came from the other side of the door.
Georgie grumbled back. “No. Cause it ain’t that big a deal.”
“Shut up. It is such a big deal.” I jumped up from my seat on the bed.
My best friend noticed it was me and smiled with a grin directly back at me. “Hi Y/n. Looks like we'll be working together.”
Georgie whispered under his breath. “Be quiet, Y/n.” He went over using one of his pins to pin it on his board on his wall.
“Did you hang it on your wall?” Missy piped in again.
Georgie snapped at her. “Get out of here!”
“I’m telling people you cried.” Missy teased him and I heard her shoes hitting the floor as she walked to her bedroom.
I clasped my hands over my mouth trying to contain my laughter causing Georgie to come walking over to me. “Come here you little tease.”
“Ah no.” I screamed crawling off the bed but he managed to grab one of my ankles holding me on the bed.
Georgie grinned down at me with me underneath his body. “You ain’t going anywhere now.”
“Georgie!” I squealed when he moved his hands over my body to the spots where I was ticklish and I started giggling at the top of my lungs.
He chuckled, raising his hands over my stomach letting me catch my breath. “Have you quit making this a big deal?”
“Yes - for now.” I grabbed his right arm and flipped him onto his back where I was on top of him now. He stared up at me for a few minutes, shocked that I had just done that to him.
“You better not tell anyone this just happened.”
I chuckled climbing off of him and he sat up on the bed next to me. “Don’t worry, Cooper. Scar code.”
“Scar code.” He bumped his scar with mine and we both grinned back at the other.
The front door to Mr. Ballard’s store opened where he was reading over the application I had filled out for him. He held out his hand and we shook on it before he turned to see we had a new customer. “Everything looks good here. Welcome to the sports salman's department. Oh I’ll help this person out.”
“Excuse me. Are you Mr. Ballard?” I stand behind the counter hearing a familiar voice.
Ballard answered. “That’d be me.”
“I’m Georgie. Connie Tucker’s grandson.”
Ballard eyed his hair. “Oh yeah the hair. Very pretty.”
“I was wondering if I could maybe apply for a job here.”
I bolted around the glass countertop and into the back room for the employees. Slamming the door behind me I put my hands against the door screaming lightly under my breath. “Ahhh! You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“I actually just hired a girl that looks to be your age. You two could tag team working the store for me.” Ballard explains where I cracked the door open deciding that I had to face him.
Georgie asked before I came around the corner very slowly. “Oh cool. What’s her name?”
“Hey Georgie.” I nervously waved at him.

Part 2
Eclipse of the Heart
@melvia-ito
Opening the backside door of my truck eyeing the objects laying in the seat in front of me. Yanking the zipper of my duffel bag open I sighed seeing wooden stakes, wooden arrows and some vervain darts inside of it. The only double life I have ever known.
“You cock the barrel like this, point at the heart and shoot.” My mother explained to me by cocking a handgun in her hands right in front of me.
My father was watching my younger sister Caroline at home allowing her time to take me down to the firing range and no one would question because she was the town Sheriff. “Why isn’t Caroline learning this too, mom?”
“Because she’s far too young for it, Jaid.” She answered my question tucking some loose strands behind my ear that had come out of my ponytail.
I nodded understanding her response. “Do I have to do this?”
“It’s the only way I know you’ll be able to protect yourself when I can’t always be there.” She said back to me offering out the handgun in her hands for me to take from her.
Sucking in a breath I picked it up feeling the cold metal touching my fingers. Wrapping my fingers completely around the gun I aimed it at the target down the range. “One…two…three.” I muttered to myself doing my best to keep my eyes open when I fired it off.
“That’s fairly good for your first time.” The target paper came up with a push of a button so we could both see the end result. My mother grasped a hand on my shoulder when I lowered the gun looking at her, the small smile gone in an instant. “Now do it again and again until you don’t miss.”
Slinging the duffel bag over my shoulder I closed the truck door and headed up to our front door. Walking upstairs to my old bedroom I knew I had a whole backseat to unpack but it didn’t matter right now. I couldn’t stay at college knowing that our mother had probably already been teaching my sister about the supernatural like she did me.
I loved my mother, don't get me wrong. But the day I turned sixteen she decided to tell me the truth about what the council was hiding from the rest of the town. The truth that vampires still existed.
Stuffing the bag in my closet I heard someone coming so I slipped a small stake underneath my pant leg and a heart necklace with some vervain inside hanging around my neck. Shrugging a red leather jacket on I hid the jewelry underneath my shirt before someone entered my bedroom. “Jaid-o-raid, I can't believe you're home!”
“Care Bear!” I squealed, spinning around on my feet seeing my sister standing in the doorway. We both ran over to one another and embraced in a tight yet warm hug after being apart for so long.
She finally broke the hug holding onto my forearms. “I can’t believe you’re home. Wait, did I miss family weekend so you came all this way to see me?”
“No you didn’t miss anything. I just felt that I needed to be home. Plus I’ve missed you bunches.” I shrugged my shoulders through part of a lie. She didn’t know that I was terrified that our mother had already turned her into a hunter.
She grinned brightly at me. “Well I’m glad you’re home. And since you are, you should come to the back to school bonfire tonight.”
“I technically don’t think I’m allowed since I’m not in high school anymore.”
My younger sister slightly rolled her eyes. “That doesn’t matter. You’re my sister. Plus they’ll be booze and hot guys there.”
“Hmm fine. But only for a little bit.” I caved and she giggled before we spent a few hours before it would get dark and then we went out to the bone fire.
But this didn’t last long and we ended up at the Grill for drinks. Caroline and Bonnie were sitting at one of the tables and I was sitting up at the bar sipping on a Bourbon.
“Are you sober yet?” The Bennett girl asked her friend.
My sister put her face in her hands. “No…why didn't he go for me?”
“Can I get another drink please?” I waved the bartender over with my empty drink cup before he came over and took it from me. Resting my chin in the palm of my hand I eyed my sister who looked like she was about to cry again.
Bonnie pushed water across the table to her. “Keep drinking. I gotta get you home. I gotta get me home.”
“Why didn't he go for me? You know, how come the guys that I want never want me?” Caroline laid her head down on the table having a pity party over the new guy Stefan Salvatore choosing one of her best friends over her.
Bonnie held her hands up in surrender. “I'm not touching that.”
“I'm inappropriate. I always say the wrong thing. And... Elena always says the right thing. She doesn't even try! And he just picks her. And she's always the one that everyone picks, for everything. And I try so hard, and... I'm never the one.” My sister runs her fingers through her blonde hair.
Bonnie sighed at her. “It's not a competition, Caroline.”
Caroline sniffed through some tears “Yeah, it is.”
“Keep the change.” I put some cash on the bar top, finishing the second Bourbon that I had ordered and going over to my sister. Touching my sister's arm I tugged her up from the chair. “Hey, we should be getting home. Bonnie, can you take her home? I’ll follow behind you and try to sober her up before our mom gets back.”
She nodded, holding onto her friends arm walking out of the bar. “Sure.”
Heading out the door the wind blew my hair in front of my eyes. I could feel someone was standing behind me where I reached inside of my jacket drawing out a smaller stake spinning around on my boots. “Back off, buddy.” I snapped at the guy who had bright blue eyes and black hair from the looks of it under the light of the moon.
“Hmm you’re the first human I've come across who was smarter enough to be armed.” They guy smirked down at me shoving me against my truck passenger door.
I nearly dropped the wooden stake on the concrete staring into his eyes. “I’m not a typical human. I know what the hell you are.”
“Then say it if you’re not afraid.” He teased me.
“Vampire.” I muttered back to him.
He revealed his fangs and I saw black veins appearing underneath his eyes. “Too bad I’m going to kill you now.” He bent his head to the side, fangs fully extended out now getting closer to my neck until I knee him in the crotch.
The vampire groaned and fell down on his knees giving me the opportunity to bolt and run away from him towards Bonnie’s car but I couldn’t find it meaning she must’ve already left. “Shit!”
“Shit is right, bitch.” The guy forced himself to his feet causing me to spin on my toes to face him. I reached down towards the other stake in my boot but he sped towards me, throwing me down onto the parking lot ground.
I grunted squirming under his hands but he was much stronger than I was. He moved one hand underneath the back of my shirt, finding the sleep dart I had tucked away in there. “I think that’s enough fight you for a while.” His grip loosened as my eyes got heavy and I passed out on the concrete.
Blinking my eyes open I groaned, twisting my neck feeling sore from whatever I had been injected with. Beginning to look around the room all I could see was mostly darkness except for the dime light in the corner of the room. “You’ve got to be kidding me….urgh!” I attempted to get up off the stone floor but I got yanked down where I winced.
My wrists were bound to the ground with metal chains keeping me trapped. Footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs where I whipped my head around before a large metal door creaked open. “I would’ve thought you would have been an easier grab.”
“Typically when someone gets abducted they do fight back. Now who the hell are you!”
The figure kept walking until they reached me. The first thing I noticed about him was his bright blue eyes. “Well don't worry in a few minutes you won't remember how we met.”
“You can't compel me. I have vervain - where's my necklace!” I gasped looking down to see it wasn’t around my neck anymore.
He lifted his hand to tilt my chin up. “I already figured that out. Now I noticed that you're hanging around with that other blonde. Who is she?”
“My sister. We're the sheriff’s daughters.” I answered his question when his eyes dilated and I cursed in my head that he had just compelled me.
He clicked his tongue, introducing himself. “I'm Damon. Damon Salvatore. Nice to meet you, hunter Forbes.”
“I didn't ask for your name but thanks.” I sarcastically remarked attempting to once again break free from the handcuffs. “Now if you're gonna kill me get on with it.”
Damon moved one hand to the side of my face while his Raven black hair slightly fell in front of his eyes. “Oh I do plan on killing you. But not until you help me with something first.”
“I'll never help you, vampire!” I bared my teeth snarling at him.
Damon held my face in his hands compelling me for the second time where I parted my mouth opened having no choice but to listen to him. “You'll want to help me. You'll not hate me. You will find me attractive and have me be your boyfriend.” He released my face where I lowered my gaze to the stone floor beginning to feel something different going on about myself.

It’s About Time

“So you’re really thinking that if we pretend to date that it will make him realize he likes you?” Marlowe and I were sitting outside on the front porch swing at my house just talking after school. Georgie had still been perusing Veronica for a few more weeks now.
After talking with Connie,Dr. Sturgis and Missy the plan had seemed fairly straightforward. Marlowe and I hadn’t gotten a chance to talk about it until this Saturday. “Yes. I doubt I can handle pretending to date a jock for that long. And we’ve been friends for awhile so it should be easy enough.”
“I guess that makes sense. I could pretend like I am writing you a song or something.” He suggested since he was hoping once he graduated high school that he and a couple other buddies could start their own band.
I nodded in agreement at what was suggested before seeing Georgie walking down the street. “That’s a great idea. Oh no, we’ll have to think fast. Look who’s coming.”
“I’m on it.” Marlowe noticed our friend at the same time as I had.
Georgie walked up the driveway coming to see the two of us. “Hey, Marlowe, Y/n. What are y'all doing?”
“Just talkin’” Marlowe responded.
Georgie nodded with his hands at his sides. “Cool. I was coming over to see you wanted to watch the Cable I just bought Y/n.”
“I would but you see I'm hanging out with Marlowe so I can't because-”
“Because we're planning on going on our first date tonight.” Marlowe blurts out cutting me off mid-sentence.
Whipping my head around to my other friend I was nearly at a loss of words. “We are?”
“Great. Hey if you want you could double date with me and Jana tonight at Chi-chi's.” Georgie shrugged his shoulders with a half smile on his face.
I asked the first question that popped into my head. “I thought you were trying to date Veronica.”
“I tried to but she never showed any interest. So I decided to just let us be friends and date other girls that seemed interested.” He explained where I clutched my hands into fists until Marlowe placed a hand over my left fist to calm me down before I said something I’d regret.
I parted my mouth open quickly thinking on my feet. “Oh okay. So sure we can go out with y’all. That sounds like fun.”
“Sweet. We’ll be going to the restaurant at six.” Georgie nodded and waved leaving us sitting on the porch when he heard his mom calling him for dinner time.
It was a few hours before we all drove in separate cars with the person we were on a date with. Georgie and Janna had picked a booth sitting across from each other. Marlowe and I did the same thing. “This is nice.” Jana said sliding in the booth first and I slide in after her.
“I like to think of Chi-chi’s as a more romantic Taco Bell.” Georgie responded and I snorted out a laugh.
Marlowe picked up the menu. “So should we get some queso for the table?”
“Sure.” Jana replied.
The waitress came back with our drinks and some queso. I reached for a chip with Georgie doing the same thing causing our hands to touch. “Sorry.” We said in unison.
“You go first.” I drew my hand backwards, blushing.
Georgie focused his gaze on me gesturing to the chip basket and queso bowl. “Nah you go. Ladies first.” I smiled longingly and he smiled at me, letting me feel comfortable since silence fell between us.
“How do you both have the same scar in the exact same spot?” Jana interrupted it, seeing the scars on our wrist since we reached out with our right hands so the cuts were visible.
Marlowe answered before me or Georgie could. “They were playing tag and Y/n cut her wrist after Georgie accidentally made her trip. He felt bad so he cut a scar on his own wrist so they matched and she didn’t feel as bad.”
“That’s cute..” Jana’s voice sounded more annoyed than the thoughtfulness of what he did when we were kids.
Marlowe sent me a cheeky smile and I nervously chuckled alongside my best friend knowing Jana was glaring daggers into the side of my head. “What else are best friends for am I right, Y/n.” The evening went pretty well for the rest of our plan. I could clearly feel Jana didn’t entirely like how the three of us were just having fun. I just hoped that it led something in Georgie’s mind to change about me.
On the other side of town Georgie was taking Jana home after their double date. Yet things weren't going good for the oldest Cooper kid. “Sp you're saying you have no feelings for her at all.”
“I wasn't at the restaurant with her. I was with you.” Georgie argued with his girlfriend Jana.
She shifted in the passenger seat. “That doesn't answer my question.”
“I was hoping you wouldn't pick up on that.”
Jana huffed in annoyance. “Did you invite her on purpose?”
“Hold on a second is this one of those fights where we end up making out in the backseat?” Georgie asked her hopefully.
Jana smacked him on his arm that was closets to hers. “No!”
“That's too bad.”
She snarled in his direction feeling like an idiot for agreeing to go on a date with him. “So you invited her just to be nice. That’s what you're going with?”
“Yes. Why is that a problem?”
She replied back. “Because people who are just friends don't secretly make goo goo eyes at you across the table, idiot!”
“She was not doing that.”
Jana rolls her eyes. “You're lucky your cute cause anyone else can see it a mile away.”
“I don’t think of Y/n in that way. I never have and I don’t think that I ever can.”
He parked the car in her driveway and she got out of the car saying one last thing to him. “Just so you know Georgie I won’t wait around so you need to think about your feelings and who you really want to be your girlfriend.”
Georgie watched her go inside her front door while he turned the engine back on. He gripped the steering wheel sucking in a breath. He sat there in silence thinking about what they had talked about. He couldn’t admit it to himself till later that he might have been falling for his best friend and didn’t know it until that evening.

8 - The Jealousy Plan
Tumblr media
Part 9
It’s About Time
Tags just ask - @lover-of-books-and-tea @bvbwestfall @bubble-blu @liesanddreams @bethanymccauley @skeletonontheroad
Ashley, Hannah and I were walking out of class and I saw someone walking by with some candy. I had heard rumors that Georgie had started selling candy a month after Veronica and her boyfriend broke up. Georgie saw the girl come out of the bathroom. “Veronica.”
She smiled at him. “Oh, hey.”
“Come here. I got something for you.” Georgie opened his bag of candy.
She came over looking in his bag. “Ooh, is it candy?”
“No, but it is pretty sweet.” He handed her a black box.
I rolled my eyes wanting to leave. “This is unbelievable.”
“Georgie, what did you do?” The blonde asked him curiously.
He looked at the black box. “Just open it.”
“This looks expensive. $100?” She opened the box gasping at how much he had spent on a tiny silver necklace.
Georgie smiled at her. “And that's without tax.”
“I can't accept this.”
He shakes his head at her response. “B-But I bought it for you.”
Veronica snapped at my best friend. “Well, you shouldn't have.”
Ashley sent me a half smile when he tried to figure her out. “I don't get you. I went out of my way to buy you something nice and you don't even want it.”
“Georgie, it's too much. I mean, you're not gonna impress me by throwing money around.” Veronica shut the box, giving it back and walking away.
“You sure? In "Material Girl," Madonna loves it.” Georgie calls out as the blonde walked away glancing over at me. “What did I do wrong Y/n?”
“Maybe she just doesn’t like you and you're throwing all your efforts out when there’s someone else who likes you!” I spun around on my feet leaving my two friends standing with him not wanting to talk with him right then.
For the rest of the day I didn’t have class with him and I managed to basically avoid him until school let out. My moms car pulled up in the parking lot and I opened the door about to get in hearing Georgie’s voice. “ I saw you smile.”
Veronica was holding the gift box standing by her car and he was standing near her. “Go away, Georgie.”
“You can eat it or wear it, it's up to you.” Georgie smiled back at her, shifting his gaze over to me. He walked over seeing me toss my backpack in the car. “Y/n, can we talk?”
“Not really. I have to get home soon.” I bared my teeth not wanting to see him winning over Veronica.
He slides his backpack on his shoulder. “Are you mad at me or something?”
“I avoided you most of the day, what do you think?”
“What did I do?” He asked confused.
I shut the door in his face turning in my seat to look at my mom. “Missy could figure it out before you. Why don’t you ask her!”
“What was that about?”
“He likes another girl.” I grumble. “Could I hang out at Connie’s house for a little while?”
“Sure.” My mom tuned on the car and we drove to his Memaw’s house.
I pushed her front door open hearing a ruckus coming from the backyard. Sitting my backpack down I went to the back door finding the noise. Going outside I went around the corner seeing Connie sitting at the picnic table with a beer watching Missy throw a ball at an empty trash can. “What are you guys doing out here?”
“I'm practicing the baseball tricks my dad taught me. Why aren't you with my brother?” Missy asked, holding a baseball in her hands.
I sat down in the empty chair with her grandmother. “I ditched him at school. He's on my nerves right now.”
“Has my idiot grandson not noticed you have a crush on him yet?” Connie turned her head in my direction.
I leaned forward in the seat, baffled. “You know. How?”
“It's kind of obvious.” Missy replied.
Covering my face with my hands I throw my head back sinking in the chair. “If I'm lucky everyone in Medford will know before he ever does.”
“Connie, are you home!” I heard a guy's voice calling from the backdoor I had left open.
Connie shifted in her chair. “Out here John!”
“Hello Connie and your Sheldon's sister Missy.” An older man that was bald and looked to be the same age as the woman waved coming outside. He moved his gaze to me. “Have we met before?”
She waved him over grabbing a third chair for the table so he could sit. “John this is Georgie’s best friend.”
“Y/n, nice to meet you.” I got up from my chair holding out my hand.
The elderly man shakes my hand, holding a bag of fruit in his other hand. “John Sturgis. I brought a bag of grapes if you all would like some.”
“So why are you mad with Georgie?” Whipping my head around Missy asked me throwing a ball at the trash can and it fell over.
John and I made our way over to the table sitting back with Connie. “He's trying so hard to be with Veronica and it frustrates me.”
“May I ask a question?” John entered the conversation.
I nodded yes. “Sure.”
“Is Georgie your mate?”
I blushed at the use of the word mate with Missy chiming in. “No but she wants him to be.”
“We've been friends since forever. Now he likes this other girl at school and I can't stand it. I'm just too afraid to tell him how I feel while he's pursuing her.” I tapped the armrests of the chair I was in.
Connie sipped from her beer bottle. “Teenage boys are the worst.”
“I could throw a baseball at him. Knock some sense into him if you want.” Missy offers me.
Shaking my head no I wasn't sure that was necessary. Dr. Sturgis finished the grapes he was eating adding to the conversation. “Lions in the wild typically fight over the lioness that they want to be with me. You could incorporate that.”
“I don't think me fighting with him will get me anywhere.”
Connie sat her drink down. “He might be onto something. You could date someone else or show interest in another guy he's close with to make him jealous..”
“And realize he has feelings for me.” I finished her sentence.
Missy throws a fist into the air. “Yeah!”
“It could work but with who?”
Connie questioned me. “Are any of your other guy friends signal?”
“Ryker and Ashley are together.”
Missy added in knowing about my friend group. “Marlowe. You could date Marlowe.”
“I'll talk with him at school tomorrow. This just might work.” I responded to the other three people.
Connie held out her hand, Missy put hers on hers, Dr. Sturgis and I put our hands over there. “Then it's a deal, kiddo. Cooper Jealousy Plan on three.”
“One…Two…Three.” Dr. Sturgis counted off.
The four of us hollered raising our hands in the air in victory. “Cooper Jealousy Plan!” If Marlowe agrees to our plan then maybe Georgie would feel the same.

Part 8
It’s About Time
Should the reader have special moments with Memaw. What would you like them to be??
Shutting the red locker in front of me I shrieked in surprise not expecting Ryker to be standing on the other side. “Ryke! What are you doing there?”
“What would ya say about me and you getting a bite to eat?” He shrugged his shoulders.
I made a confused face. “You normally hang out with Hannah after practice.”
“Yeah normally. But I thought we don’t hang out enough anymore, just the two of us.” He replied leaning against the lockers.
I cut myself short. “Ryker, I appreciate it. But I promised Georgie I would watch him during football practice - hang on what’s the paper in his hand?” I peaked over his shoulder seeing Georgie walking past me carrying a note in one hand.
Ryker shifted in front of me trying to block my view. “I insist Y/n. Let’s go to Waffle House right now.”
“Ryker, let me see. We can go on Saturday.” I tried moving past him but he moved in front of me.
“No, let's go right now.”
“Ryker! Let me see - Veronica!” I pushed him into the locker gently and we both turned our hands for me to see Georgie walk up to Veronica about to hand her the piece of paper.
A guy that I assumed had to be her boyfriend snatched it before he could. “What's this, a love note?”
“Give that back!” Georgie reached up on his toes trying to get it back but couldn’t.
The guy chuckled, unfolding the paper reading it aloud. “Oh, I don't think so. "To my beloved Veronica, Every minute I'm away from you is an eternity. But it feels longer than that…”
“Y/n, I didn’t want you to see this.” Ryker explained standing behind me.
I clutched my hands into fists at my sides grumbling under my breath. “Veronica!” I didn’t want to be jealous of the blonde girl but I couldn’t bury my feelings deep inside.
The guy who was dating Veronica kept reading and she just sent my best friend an embarrassed look. “I can't eat, I can't sleep, it feels like there's a hole in my heart that only you can fill..."
Georgie turned on his feet quickly moving through the crowd of laughing students who were watching the whole thing. “Georgie.”
“Not now Y/n.” He shoved his way past me.
I remained there for a few seconds seeing him disappear around the corner. Ryker touches my shoulder gently, calling my attention. “Y/n, I’m sorry -ah!”
“Leave me alone! It’s never going to happen between us.” I smacked his hand running away from him and past Veronica who I wished I could punch in that moment.
My mom had already had dinner with me and my dad expected me to be over at the Cooper house, except I wasn’t for long. I heard George sr voice down the hallway when I entered through the front door of the house. “Going somewhere?”
“Alaska.” Georgie was in his bedroom stuffing things into a gym bag. “Gonna work on the pipeline.”
His dad leaned in the doorway of his bedroom not noticing me peeking in on them from the living room. “Alaska, huh? That-That's pretty far.”
“Not far enough, but it'll have to do.” Georgie responds.
Mr. Cooper enters his bedroom and I snuck around the corner to hear the rest of the conversation. “Look, Georgie, I know it feels bad right now, but... I promise it'll get better.”
“How's it gonna get better? Veronica thinks I'm a jerk, and everyone in the school's calling me Lovey Cooper. “
His dad sucked in a breath. “Ooh, that is not a good name.”
“It doesn't matter, 'cause I'm never going back to that school.”
George sr called his son’s attention. “Listen to me. Hey. You're a good-looking kid, and you got a big heart. Once we get you on a daily shower schedule, the girls are gonna be lining up.”
“I don't want girls. I want Veronica.” Georgie admitted and I felt tears welling up in my eyes.
“Yeah, maybe you'll get her and maybe you won't. But someday, you'll find the woman who was really meant for you.”
I scramble over to the couch, opening one of the magazines from the table pretending to read it when his mother walked past with a basket of laundry. “You mean like Kathryn Dempsey?”
“Alaska's beautiful. How 'bout I go with you?” Georgie’s dad mumbled.
Georgie asked him. “Who's Kathryn Dempsey?”
“I was 15 years... I was 15 years old!” His father hollered back to her and it was shortly after that I heard him leaving the room so I bolted up and out the door onto their front porch. I plopped down on the front porch swing sniffing through some tears feeling some tears falling until the front door opened. “Y/n, I didn’t know you were here. Hey are you crying?”
I wiped under my eyes trying to act like I wasn’t. “Uh no. I’m not.”
“No, something is bothering ya. So what’s wrong?” George sr came over to me sitting down beside me.
I dropped my hands in my lap avoiding his gaze. “Nothing is wrong.”
“Look, I know I’m not your father. But you’re always around like one of my kids so I’m here for you if you want to talk.” He explained letting the cricket noises fill the silent air until I finally had the courage to blurt out what I needed to say.
“I have feelings for Georgie.”
His father became nervous at that. “Oh I wasn’t thinking that but okay…um when did it start?”
“About a year or so after we made these marks together.” I rolled up the sleeve of my jacket showing him the scar on my wrist.
His dad just leaned back on the porch swing seat with his hands in his lap before he spoke. “And he’s being an idiot for not realizing it sooner. That’s why you’re out here because you’re jealous that he’s looking at other girls.”
“Yeah…I shouldn’t be that way.” I run my fingers through my hair.
George sr placed a hand on my knee causing me to meet his gaze. “You have every right to be upset. He’s got a good heart and you are a good girl around him. Eventually when he gets older I have no doubt you two will be together.”
“Thanks Mr. Cooper. I should be getting home it’s late.” Getting up from the seat I slide my backpack on my shoulder walking down the driveway making my way home.
Maybe just maybe he was going to be right about our future. That we would end up together.

52 - Dark Raelyn
Tumblr media
Part 53
Family is More than Blood
@secretdreamlandmentality
Raelyn’s pov
Twirling the tip of the hunting knife blade on the wooden nightstand in silence staring at the hybrid that was standing before me as my husband. He had been just staring at me for the last few minutes. “I can only assume you’re silent means that you agree with what I have said.”
“Quite the opposite actually. My silence towards you is because you are not the woman I married.” He growled at me.
Rolling my eyes and scoffing back at him. “I think biology and a blood test would prove that sentence wrong.”
“Look whoever you are. I want nothing you can offer me.” He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
Swinging my legs over the side of the bed I huffed getting up to my feet. I stride up to him grabbing his shoulders and digging my fingernails in them where he winced just a little bit. “Listen here Niklaus Mikaelson I know you. I know that you want to think that the weak and innocent Raelyn is still inside of me. But she's not. She’s gone.”
“That’s not true, witch. Now if you wish to have me give into your demands I suggest that you start telling me them. Because frankly I am in no mood for a guessing game.” He stepped away from me.
Tapping my fingers on my chin I paused in thought trying to think of a moment where he was close to giving into some sliver of darkness. It didn’t matter whether it was her witch side or vampire side. The desire was there regardless and that is what I was currently feeding off. “Are you sure there were no feelings at all when the weaker me had her humanity off?”
“What the hell are you talking about?” He snapped at me dropping his arms down at his sides.
Vamping into his face I grabbed the sides of his face pushing his forehead against my own. “You forget that I am a part of the Rae you love, meaning I have the same access to all her memories just like you do.” Closing my eyes I forced his mind to view the moment back at the bar when Jeremy was a newbie vampire hunter.
Klaus pushed the door open for me to see a whole bar filled with people and I could hear all their hearts ringing in my ear. “Why bring me here if you know I will drain them dry?”
“Because I have already fed them my blood. So when you kill them…” He trailed off with a smirk on his face watching my reaction.
Wrapping my arms around his neck I kissed him for the first since I had turned into a hybrid. “They will be in transition to be vampires. You are brilliant and so hot right now. I’d say I always had a thing for the bad boys.”
“I knew that about you before you turned, Raelyn. Now before the boys get here I suggest that we start this little show. Ladies first.” He gestured with his hands out in front of him before I vamped forward onto a guys back sinking my fangs into his neck draining him quickly.
Grabbing two girls by their necks I held them down drinking from one after the others throwing my hair around in a mess. It all became too much for me to not just see blood everywhere where I started vamping around like a madwoman. Klaus the whole time was just standing by the bar watching both turned on and sick to his stomach by how much his former witch was enjoying herself. He never imagined this fate for his love. Losing her twin brother took more of a toll on her then he was ever capable of understanding.
Ripping my fangs into half of their necks I pulled back letting blood drip down my chin. He reached up, taking some off of me moving his other hand to my neck. I watched his eyes flash gold nuzzling his nose into my neck whispering. "I want you to know that it pains me to see you like this. I want nothing more than to find pleasure seeing you like this. But my heart can’t allow that in.”
“You only feel horrible because you have your humanity on. So why not just turn it off with me huh. We’ve got time before these babies come out of my belly. So turn it off with me, together forever." I smirked before he hooked my legs around my waist, vamping me against the wall kissing me hungrily. Everything felt right, his hands and lips on mine. Blood mixing together where he started kissing my neck slowly. I gasped, gripping his locks in my fingers, throwing my head back.
“Urgh! That means nothing to what you're toying with me about.” He harshly pushed me backwards away from him. His eyes glowing golden with me smirking directly at the hybrid in front of me.
Tilting my head to the side I could feel he was lying to me. The big bad hybrid I knew years ago was in there. He just needed to remember what he made the world believe he was. “You are a terrible liar, Mikaelson. You can’t tell me that you feel nothing when I do this…” I held his face tightly in my hands before pressing my lips up against his own.
At first he was hesitant and tried to pull away yet I got the result I wanted when he kissed me back. He moved his arms quickly around my waist pushing my body as close to his as possible. I smiled into it threading my fingers into the dirty curly locks of blonde tugging on them until he moaned. “Rae!”
“There you go. It’s me.” I mumbled breaking the kiss wrapping my arms around his neck deepening the kiss.
He broke the kiss briefly when his phone started going off getting distracted. “Who is it?”
“Did you wake Raelyn yet?” I could hear Rebekah's voice through the phone.
He answered her. “She woke up on her own. She's rather different though - not that I'm complaining..” Wrapping my arms around his neck I buried my face in his shoulders trying to distract him and it was clearly working.
“Different how, Nik. She didn't turn off her humanity again did she?” Rebekah asked sharply.
He growled into the phone following my movements slowly turning around to face me. Dark Raelyn sways her hips back and forth at me, reaching for the bottom of her shirt, dropping it on the floor leaving her in a bra and jeans with her boots. “Rebekah, she consumed the dark magic in the prison world. She isn't herself…but I have to go.”
“What no!” She cried.
I caught wind of Elijah's voice when he tossed his phone onto the bed. “Niklaus!”
“You know telling them about little old me won't end well. They'll come here.” I walk forward to him, draping my arms over his shoulders.
My husband clicked his tongue yanking me against his by the loop of my jeans and I jumped wrapped my arms around his waist. “I don't want to care for you because you're not her. But I can't help myself.”
“You like to be in control, you've told me.”
“Not so much anymore.” He pointed out.
“I'm not looking to overpower you, Klaus. I just want you to embrace this side of me. I mean honestly have you never imagined what it might be like to be a true vampire with me. Have you never imagined what it would feel like being rippers together or breaking all the furniture in the room hmm?”
Klaus blinked his eyes a couple of times. He still held me up by my thighs against his chest. “Raelyn, I am flattered by this other side of you. But its not the woman I married. I want her back, always and forever.”
“Come on just give me a chance. I know deep down you've considered it once or twice. So tonight let's see where this takes us and if tomorrow comes and you still don’t like it then I'll have to try harder.” I shrugged my shoulders giving him the puppy dog eyes, returning my eyes back to their normal color briefly.
Klaus wasted only a second before the wolf and vampire inside of him couldn't last any longer. He crashed his lips down to mine hungrily. I responded back with the same force, threading my fingers into the dirty locks for the second time. “I must admit I have been intrigued at the thought of breaking all the furniture.”
“The mansion has been needed an upgrade.” I broke the kiss and the next thing I knew I was on my back on our king size bed. He leaned down capturing my lips with his and our clothes got thrown around faster than they ever had.

6 - Will He Ever Realize??

It’s About Time

Author note - would you all want me to skip onto season two or three to make Georgie and Y/n older or just keep going through certain season one episodes???
Walking up the metal bleachers my shoes banged on the ground until I saw my friends waiting near the first row of seats for one of the football games. Hannah grabs my arm tugging me against her. “Hey Ashley got you something.”
“My birthday has already passed, why are you getting me another present?” I asked her looking from her to Ashley.
She unfolds something out of the backup she had for her volleyball practice. “Thought it was about time you had one of these after all this time.” She held up a red tea shirt with the number 23 on the front in the color white.
“You guys are unbelievable. This isn’t going to make him suddenly realize he has feelings for me.”
Hannah sticks her tongue out. “That was what I thought too until Ryker saw me in my volleyball uniform. So it does work.”
“Yeah right.” I rolled my eyes, shrugging the shirt on over my head regardless. The wissel went off where I started walking down the stairs to get a closer look I leaned over the railing.
George sr opened the play book pausing as he looked at where the two teams were on the field. “Hang on.”
“What?” The assistant coach asked.
Georgie’s dad looked at the play book. “Let's go for it.”
“Why? We got plenty of time.” The assistant was still confused.
George said back. “I know. Still want to go for it.”
“We're on the 12-yard line. Everybody know you punt.”
I smiled remembering what Sheldon had said when we were watching a different football game at his house. “Why does everybody knowing something make it right?”
“He's at the 30, the 20, the 10. Touchdown, Wolves!” The pa announcer came over the speakers before everyone in the crowd cheered loudly.
I bolted toward the staircase running out to the football field and jumping over the green fence. The team was all rallied around the guy that had gotten the touchdown. “Georgie!”
“Y/n…oh!” Georgie barely had time to fully turn around before I halted in my tracks and tackled him onto the turf. He fell down and held me by my hips with our faces inches from each other.
“Ooohhh!” Ashley and Hannah’s voices could be heard behind me where we turned our heads seeing them standing off to the side.
Georgie chuckled up at me. “What are they teasing about?”
“Uh nothing. They’re just excited like me that y’all won.” I scramble to my feet helping him up. Georgie stands in front of me noticing the number on my shirt before we had to separate so he could get pictures with his team.
After the game was over the Cooper parents had gone out on a date night leaving the kids and me alone together in the house. Sheldon was out in the garage playing with his trains. That left me, Missy and Georgie in the kitchen and he brought in a Wigi board he had hidden in the garage from their mother. Georgie and I had our hands in the middle eyeing Missy who yanked her hands away. “Pastor Jeff talked about these in Sunday school. He called them Satan’s monopoly board.”
“Come on.” Georgie nudge his head with a smirk on his face.
The phone went off and she got up answering it. “It’s pastor Jeff what do I do?”
“See what he wants.” Georgie answered.
She asked. “What do you want?”
“Um, is your mom home?”
“No, she went out with my dad. It’s just me, Georgie and Y/n. Sheldon is in the garage.” She replied to his question.
“Well I hope y’all will behave yourselves.”
“We are. We’re just watching tv. Okay bye.” She hung up the phone spinning around on her feet beginning to panic. “I just lied to a pastor.”
Georgie tilted his head. “So?”
“So I’m going to hell.”
I shake my head at her. “No you’re not.”
“Yes I am.”
Georgie shrugged his shoulders. “Sucks for you.”
“I’m going to hell. I’m going to hell!” Missy stomped around back and forth in front of us.
Georgie crossed his arms over his chest. “Relax. Not till you’re dead.”
“Missy if it’s bothering you that bad just call him back and tell the truth.”
She nodded in agreement grabbing the phone on the wall. “I lied to you. I wasn’t watching tv. I was playing with a Wigi board.”
“Who is this?”
She said terrified. “Missy Cooper and I’m going to hell.”
“Missy you’re not gonna go to hell.”
“Yes I do. God knows what I did. He sees everything.”
The pastor paused on his end of the phone. “But he also just saw you be a good Christian and tell the truth. So I promise your soul is safe.”
“If you’re lying you’re going to hell too.” Missy quipped back at him to be super sure.
The pastor hung up the phone. “I’m sure. You take care now.”
She sighed leaving the room and headed towards the garage. “I'm going to play with Celeste, my cabbage patch doll.”
“So you wanna get pizza or something?” I shrugged my shoulders eyeing the game board in front of us.
Georgie nodded his head towards the phone, getting up from his seat and grabbing the phone from the wall. “Once I get more money later the first place I’m going to eat is Chi-chi’s.”
“Tacos and margaritas. That’ll be a pretty nice place to take a girl on a date.” I turned around in my chair looking at him.
He punched in the number waiting for it to ring. “Yeah. We’ll have to go someday.”
“Really?” I gasped, hanging my mouth open thinking that maybe Hannah and Ashley were onto something.
Georgie pulled the phone away from his ear showing me the cut on his wrist. “For sure, Y/n. This means friends for life.”
“Oh…right.” The blush on my face disappeared and I lowered my gaze down to the cut on my wrist, tracing it with my thumb until someone came running through the kitchen from the garage for me to see it was Sheldon.
“Missy coughed on one of my trains!”

51 - The Lane Family Darkness
Tumblr media
Part 52
Family is More than Blood
@secretdreamlandmentality
Jacob’s pov
I couldn’t believe my sister right now. She would never understand with her and her hybrid husband being able to keep making babies. I decided to take matters into my own hands and figure out the spell that Klaus's dead mother used that gave her the ability. Stomping through the woods I removed the duffel bag off my shoulder and sat it down on the hard dirt. “This should be a good enough spot.”
“Care to tell us what we are doing out here, J?” Hayley asked me, arms over her chest.
Andrea, my daughter , tilted her head in confusion. “Yeah dad. You said you needed help but with what I don't get.”
“I need you to siphon the magic out of this.” Rummaging around in the duffel bag at my feet I drew out the Ascendent that I had taken from Josie and Lizzie when they had brought it back to the school.
My wife Hayley eyed me. “Why does she have to do it? You’re half siphon witch too. So I suggest you start telling us what is really going on.”
“I have to do another spell once you have the magic inside of you and the spell requires the family blood.” I lied the best that I could knowing that dark magic hadn’t been good in the hands of Josie or my twin but she refuses to help me.
Andrea takes the Ascendent from my hands, closing her eyes beginning to chant the siphoning spell. “Magia tollux de terras…Magia tollux de terras.” Her hands on the object turned red until she dropped it on the grass and I saw black veins crawling over her arms.
Hayley gasped, stepping forward to touch her. “Jacob, what the hell are you doing to her!”
“Be quiet, Hayley! Okay give it to me, sweetheart.” Grasping my daughter’s hands in my own I drag a knife across her right palm, letting the blood drip onto our intertwined hands. She winced when our hands turned red and I started siphoning the dark magic from her. “In unum edito, dominus sae domina. Cuplas sino lieros. In unum edito, dominus - shit Klaus!”
“What the bloody hell do you think you're doing, Jacob!” The hybrid growled in my face, the fangs and veins appearing very quickly.
Hayley stepped forward asking. “Yeah what are you doing, J?”
“Urgh it's none of your business Niklaus - motus.” I grunted siphoning off of his forearm lunching him into the nearest tree.
He shakes his head with some wounds healing over. “It is my business when you are part of the reason my wife was terrified to take her magic back.”
“What's wrong with Aunt Rae?” Andrea asked her uncle with a lot of concern in her tone of voice.
Klaus rose up from the ground dusting his hands on his pants. “He hasn't told you because he doesn't even know himself. She's in a coma because of my idiot daughters who tried consuming the Dark magic inside of that.” He pointed at the Ascendent laying in the dirt.
“Dark magic!” Andrea cried out looking at her hands that once had the power inside of them.
Hayley glared at me. “Jacob Lane, how could you trick your daughter like that. And all for what?”
“So that we could have more children like we talked about years ago. Andrea doesn't deserve to be an only child!” I shouted back at the three of them with some of the trees around us suddenly bursting into flames.
Hayley stepped over to our daughter holding her against her chest noticing something on my arms. “J, if giving me more babies means you'll have to die for real this time then I don't want any.”
“Hayley I'll be fine.”
Klaus scoffed under his breath. “No you won't, mate. Look at your arm because I remember quite clearly that magic nearly killed your sister.”
“You’re just trying to talk me out of what I want. There’s no…marks.” I raised up my arm gasping under my breath seeing small thin black lines crawling up my arms.
My brother in law snarled. “I’m not bluffing anything, mate. Now either you are going to help me save my wife, your sister or you will face some very painful consequences!”
“Uncle Klaus, don’t hurt him.” Andrea begged me with some watery eyes.
Spinning around on my feet I snapped at my niece even though I didn’t wish too but her father needed to understand how selfish he was being to let his sister suffer. “I’m sorry, Andrea. Bu he refuses to accept the weight that his sister is suffering in agonizing torment and now he is only thinking about himself.”
“Shut the hell up, Klaus!” I yelled towards the hybrid, turning my hands into fists at my sides.
The hybrid vamped forward grabbing me by my throat and slamming me into the nearest tree that I hadn’t sent up in heavy flames. “Klaus don’t!” Hayley warned him with her eyes glowing golden but she remained by our daughter's side.
“Don’t worry, little wolf. He will heal you know.” Klaus held his gaze on mine intensely.
Andrea croaked out. “Uncle Klaus, don’t hurt him. I’ll help you save Aunt Rae.”
“Oh this is now about more than needing his help, dear.” His eyes turned dark gold following the dark veins and fangs of his vampire side coming through. “The reason for this chokehold is on the fact that I don’t understand why your father’s desire for having more children is overshadoweding his desire to help his sister.”
“I’m angry with her - that’s enough of a reason.” I winced when his fingers closed tighter around my throat.
Klaus pressed his nose against mine getting in my face. “Your sister was so broken up years ago when she was tricked to kill you. She would have gone through hell on Earth to protect you but you don’t seem to be the same. From where I am standing I don’t see how you two are related. You may share the same blood yet that seems to be the only thing you have in common.”
“Klaus, I get you upset. So just put him down and we can find a way to help you.” Hayley touched his shoulder before he moved his hands tightly around my neck more and snapped it where I grunted falling to the dirt at his feet.
Andrea gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. “Was that necessary?”
“He needed to be taught a lesson and don’t worry he’ll come back you know that, Little Lane.” Klaus dropped his hands to his side eyeing the knocked out vampire. His phone vibrated in his pocket till he put it up to his ear. “Melissa, have you found anything?”
“Lizzie thinks she can help us.” The young heretic answered his question.
He responded by vamping away from the two other supernaturals. “Brilliant. I’ll be there shortly. This could have gone less violent if he just helped me.”
“Sometimes I really don’t like the Mikaelson family.” Hayley hugged her daughter to her chest while they waited for Jacob to wake up.
Missy’s pov
Remaining in a sitting position at my mothers bedside I felt a huge weight on my shoulders from not being there to stop my sisters from putting her in this situation. They had no right on not telling me in what they were doing especially if they knew about mom’s situation. Footsteps were heard coming up the stairs and the door creaked open. “Dad, Lizzie isn’t here yet. So we’ll just have to wait a second - Ethan what are you doing here?”
“I know you said that you don’t want me around sometimes because you’re worried about me getting hurt. But I uh…brought some French fries and a chocolate milkshake from the Grill.” He nervously stands in the doorway revealing a paper bag and a shake cup from behind his back.
Flipping my hair out of my line of sight I sighed. “E, I really don’t think - I can’t believe you remembered one of my favorite things from there.”
“Of course I remember. You are my girlfriend after all.” He walked over handing me the shake and then the bag before he sat down beside me on the bed.
Shoving my hand in the bag of fries I ate one talking with my mouth full. “Thank you for this. I actually haven’t eaten much all day given what’s happened with her.”
“Do you wanna tell me what is happening with her or not?” Ethan asked me, trailing his voice off.
Swallowing some more fries I shifted my gaze to my unconscious mother. Her hair was slightly tousled and you could see the black veins crawling up her body. “My sisters made her take her magic back when she wasn't ready for it. Now she's under some coma or something. And we're not sure if we can wake her up.”
“That's scary. But you’ve a Mikaelson. From what I've seem you guys don't go down without a fight.” My boyfriend responded before I sat my drink down and hugged him without saying a word.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and embraced me back with the same comfort level. “Thank you, E.”
Footsteps came into the room and so we separated from one another seeing Lizzie. “So I think we should be able to just siphon it out of here.” She sat down a Grimor on the edge of the bed.
“Siphon it into what would be helpful to know, Elizabeth.” My father vamped into the bedroom standing by her side seconds later.
She flipped her hair over her shoulder. “I don't know. I assume we could put it inside the Prison World that it was previously in.”
“Uhhh! My head hurts…” Everyone in the room quickly turns their heads in the direction of the new voice. My mother slowly pushed herself up in a sitting position holding the side of her neck.
I gasped with Ethan reached out to her. “Ms. Mikaelson. are you okay?”
“Ah! I will be once I…kill you.” My mother slowly revealed her fangs from her mouth. The veins under her eyes appeared as she launched herself straight for my boyfriend.
I screamed out. “Ethan!”
“Expello.” Lizzie gripped my father’s forearm siphoning from him, managing to create a quick boundary spell that my mom hit her forehead straight into.
I dragged Ethan off the bed and he sucked in a breath seeing my mother standing there up against the barrier. She pressed her hands against it, baring her teeth. “I didn’t think she’d ever do that. Is something wrong with her?”
“She definitely would never hurt you unless you deserved it.” I bent down on my knees seeing no injuries on him. Ethan grasped my hand in his slowly getting his breathing under control.
Lizzie pointed her index finger, gaining our attention. “Were her eyes like that the last time she consumed Dark Magic?”
“Get out of here right now. I’ll handle her and don’t do anything reckless or stupid until I tell you otherwise!” My father turned his hands into fists at his sides, instructing the three of us to leave quickly and we all scrambled out the doorway with me shutting the bedroom door behind me.
Raelyn's eyes turned black as night, slamming her hands against the barrier. “You can’t beat me, hybrid!”
“I’m not trying to beat you whoever you are that has passed the love of my life.” Klaus slowly stepped forward until he reached the barrier as close as he possibly could. “But I am going to get my wife back.”
Dark Raelyn tilted her head to the side with a cheeky smirk playing on her lips. “Are you sure you don’t love me instead of the other Raelyn?”
“What do you mean by that, witch?” He snarled at her.
The heretic held her smirk when she spoke her next words leaving the hybrid in front of her speechless. “What I mean is you only think that you want goodness in your life. But the truth is deep down inside I can feel that you’re drawn to her darkness just as much as she is to yours. What do you say to that, hybrid?” Klaus just blinked his eyes wishing he could be staring back at his wife’s beautiful eyes rather than the mistress of darkness.

Part 9
The Last Velaryon
Tag list @rise-my-angel @cdragons
Soft knocking on my chamber door woke me up from my peaceful sleep. Shifting myself up from the pillows I brushed my hair out of my face. “Who’s visiting me in the middle of the night?” Tossing the covers aside I climbed out of the bed.
Creaking open the door I peaked my head through the doorway seeing it was Antler standing in the hallway. “Haelsa, I apologize for the late visit. But it’s Chezney.”
“Chezney. What’s wrong with her?” I asked instantly, feeling nervous.
Antler simply answered my question. “I’d grab some shoes and a robe. It’s better to show you.”
Scrambling around my room I grabbed a blue cloak and some slippers following on the heels of my father’s most trusted guard. We swept through the castle hallways until we reached her chambers door and I burst inside not bothering with knocking. “Chez! What happened?”
“Hael! I need your help.” She cried from the corner of the room holding onto a pot. She throws up in the pot hair getting in her mouth until I came over to help.
Holding her hair out of her face I asked even though I had a guess of what was happening to her. “You’re pregnant aren’t you?”
Her and Antler were both extremely close friends of mine and by some crazy miracle they ended up falling in love with the other. A lays in waiting and a top officer of the guard, what could possibly go wrong. “Haelesa, you can’t tell your father please. Pretty please he will likely execute Antler for this.” Chezney slides around on her knees grasping the fabric of my nightgown in her hands.
“Chezney could be sent out of the castle too. Including her mother too.” Antler added on ,standing guard by the door in case someone else can enter.
Intertwining my hands with hers I lowered myself down on my knees to be level with her. “I would never do such a thing and do you both to the fate of death or banishment. We are best friends after all.”
“Thank you, Haelesa.” She threw her head against my chest and I held her against me. Burying my face into her hair I sighed heavily in relief. The three of us in that moment were horrified by others knowing, unfortunately she lost the baby in the span of only two months. But I kept my promise that I would always guard her secrets and she would mine.
Pushing the tent flaps away with my hands I saw that Chezney was leaning against the wooden post that was one of the support beams of the tent. She had her hair tied up in a crown pattern, wearing a simple blue gown with some brown boots. “Are you ever going to let the young wolf see you in a gown?”
“We have been transported from one war camp to another. Dresses aren’t suitable for that environment. Therefore when Robb or Jaime wins the war then and only then shall I wear a ridiculous gown.”
Chezney tilted her head to the side, she clasped her hands together. “So are you ever going to tell him what you wrote in your letter to Joella?”
“You mean the letter that you were supposed to send before we left?” I snapped thinking she had sent it out the morning before we had left Kings Landing with a band of men and Lannister flags.
She shrugs her shoulders in response. “I was simply thinking it would be a conversation starter.”
“Chezney Ally, I swore to keep your secret years ago and you swore the same to me. The contents of that letter or any future letters to Joella are meant to remain privately between us.”
My best friend gestures her head in a different direction causing me to follow her gaze and see that the young wolf was striding over to us. “Well you better think of something to say to him if you won’t tell him your feelings.”
“Robb.” I curtseye when he had finally reached us.
He shakes his head waving his hand up for me to rise. “There's no need for that. Uh Halesea I was wondering if you have time of course.”
“She does have time!” Chezney piped in before I could get a word out.
He sent me a bright smile back. “Thank you, Chezney. Shall we, Lady Haelesa?”
“We shall.” I held out my hand and he held onto his own intertwining our hands together as one. We began walking away from my best friend and off throughout the war camp.
We hadn’t been alone like this since the morning we went horse riding to the Godswood Tree. Scanning the area around us we were on the edge and outside of the camp so that others weren’t watching us. “I have been meaning to ask why did this all start between you and the Lannisters. I mean I didn’t hear much of Sansa and Arya. But Sansa seems excited to marry the young prince.”
“The Kingslayer has been keeping you in the dark?” Robb knits his brows at me.
It took me a second to know who he was talking about since I had only ever referred to him as Jaime. “You’re talking about Jaime Lannister?”
“Yes.” Robb answers with a stern voice. “My father and sisters rode South when he was to be Hand of the King. A few weeks ago something happened and now Jofferey Baratheon sits on the throne.”
“Meaning Robert is dead. How is that a problem for you?”
Robb turned to face me. “He put my father in chains and is holding him prisoner.”
“I'm sorry.”
“I'm riding South with my father's bannermen to free him. But lately I just…I want to know why.” He slumped his shoulders.
I quickly answered. “I could ask Jaime - uh the Kingslayer - to see if he knows anything.”
“What makes you think he'll tell you anything?”
I shrugged my shoulders making a good point. “Because he's not the man that everyone thinks he is.”
“How did that happen?” Robb raised a brow towards me.
I responded to the wolf. “Because he told me when we were alone in his chambers a few months ago.”
Knocking on Jaime’s chambers door I waited outside until he to my shock actually opened the door for me. His green eyes focused onto mine and he was in a red tunic and trousers. “Velaryon girl, what are you doing here so late?”
“I need to talk with you and this appears to be the only way I can do it.” I explained to the lord who just silently stared at me. He eventually moved aside letting me inside his chamber and I stepped inside with him shutting the door behind me.
Jaime stands at the end of the bed asking me a simple question. “So what do you so desperately need to talk with me about in the middle of the night, Little Velaryon?”
“I’ve heard the whispers and some gossip about the nickname Kingslayer everyone gives you. I wish to know why, why do they call you that?”
He replied simply. “Because I killed what history calls The Mad King.”
“Yes I suppose I understand the reason behind the name. But…but why did you kill him?”
The Lannister lion clicked his tongue. “You want to know my side of the story?”
“Yes I do. So tell me your side of the story. The whole truth please.” I rounded to the table drawing out the chair. Crossing my arms over one another and my chin resting upon them.
Jaime sat down on the end of his bed, running his fingers through his blonde hair sucking in a sharp breath before he began explaining his side of the story. “Wildfire….The Mad King was obsessed with it. He loved to watch people burn, the way their skin blackened and blistered and melted off their bones. He burned lords he didn't like. He burned Hands who disobeyed him. He burned anyone who was against him. Before long, half the country was against him. Aerys saw traitors everywhere. So he had his pyromancer place caches of wildfire all over the city ... beneath the Sept of Baelor and the slums of Flea Bottom. Under houses, stables, taverns. Even beneath the Red Keep itself. Finally, the day of reckoning came. Robert Baratheon marched on the capital after his victory at the Trident. But my father arrived first with the whole Lannister army at his back, promising to defend the city against the rebels. I knew my father better than that.”
“What happened next?”
Jaime continued the story. “He's never been one to pick the losing side. I told the Mad King as much. I urged him to surrender peacefully. But the king didn't listen to me. He didn't listen to Varys who tried to warn him. But he did listen to Grand Maester Pycelle, that grey, sunken cunt. "You can trust the Lannisters," he said. "The Lannisters have always been true friends of the crown." So we opened the gates and my father sacked the city. Once again, I came to the king, begging him to surrender. He told me to... bring him my father's head. Then he... turned to his pyromancer. "Burn them all," he said. "Burn them in their homes. “Burn them in their beds."
“What’s that look for?” I questioned seeing him silently looking at me now when I could feel he had more to say with his story of how he killed the Mad King.
His eyes softened when pouring their attention into mine. “Tell me, if your precious King commanded you to kill your own father and stand by while thousands of men, women, and children burned alive, would you have done it? “
“I….I can’t say that I would let it go on.” I was at a loss for words. Imagining that all those dead bodies must say on his shoulders, along with everyone saying he had broken the oath he had taken.
“First, I killed the pyromancer. And then when the king turned to flee, I drove my sword into his back. "Burn them all," he kept saying. "Burn them all." I don't think he expected to die. He ... he meant to... burn with the rest of us and rise again, reborn as a dragon to turn his enemies to ash. I slit his throat to make sure that didn't happen.” He sighed heavily letting silence fill out the room, asking me the next question. “What do I get to know about you?”
Getting up from the chair I stride over finding a spot next to him on the bed. Jaime and I shift our heads in one direction to stare at the other. “For this marriage to work you need to know I will never be this obedient wife. I am the lady of the fierce sea and the heir to the Velaryon household.”
“I know you’re aware I didn’t want this marriage either. But it’s possible for us to learn from each other on how we can both get what we want.” He responded.
Reaching down I looped my hand in his right hand. “If you’ll help me see the world then I’ll make sure the world knows the real story. The real story of the Kingsguard soldier named Jaime Lannister. You won’t be forgotten by House Velaryon.” Jaime silently stared at me and from that moment on I would keep my word to the former knight.

Missy’s pov
Grabbing a hold of the football when it hit my chest I smiled in the direction of Ethan and MG. We had gone out here after school since we all agreed we could be friends or date, not worrying about what Dr. Saltzman wanted us to do. "Dang you boys might be giving me trouble.”
“Don’t worry, Missy. You would be running circles around us both in other situations.” Ethan chuckles standing by MG.
I smiled, enjoying the feeling that had happened between the three of us. My phone started ringing in my jacket so I placed it up to my ear hearing my father’s name. “Melissa, I need you back at the school immediately!”
“Woah dad. Slow down. What are you yelling about?” I asked him, hearing the panic in his raised voice.
MG vamped over to my side. “Everything okay?”
“You’re sisters are bloody idiots for bringing Landon back. Your mother took her magic back but she hasn’t woken up. So I need you back at the school now!” Shrugging my shoulders to my vampire friend while my father declared to me.
Running my freehand through my hair I attempted to reply the best I could. “I’ll be there as fast as I can. Well save her like always.”
“Missy, is everything okay?” Ethan walked over picking up the football off the turf that I had dropped focusing on my conversation with my father.
I paused to find the best response. “My mom is in some trouble because of my sisters.”
“Then let’s go help her.” Ethan piped up.
Raising a hand I stopped him before he could say anything more and I knew that MG would agree with me on this. He may know the truth but he doesn’t know how to help my mom, especially when it comes to magic. “Ethan, I think I can handle this. You and MG can just hang out until I get back.”
“Okay, just be careful M & M.” Ethan hugged me and I hugged him.
“Watch out for him, Milton.” I nodded and MG nodded in agreement watching me vamp off away from them. Skidding my feet on the front doorstep of the Salvatore School I pushed the door opened heading upstairs hearing yelling that could only belong to my father.
“Do you have any idea of what you have done to your mother? She wasn’t taking her magic for a reason and she probably wouldn’t if you hadn’t been trying to get yourselves killed!”
Hope began speaking towards him. “You would have done whatever it took to save mom. Screw the consequences for the others around you.”
“And Hope didn’t think it would go as bad. It was mom’s choice to step in.” Alina said behind her sister, even though the werewitch knew that it was mostly her older sister’s fault.
Our father ran a hand harshly down his face. “You’re mother and I will always react when you kids are getting yourselves in trouble. Dark magic is very dangerous from my experience with your mother. You could’ve died.”
“Josie and I stepped in so Lizzie and Hope wouldn’t die.” Alina snapped in defense.
Dad growled. “You shouldn't have even been doing the spell in the first place.”
“Mom didn't die, dad!” Hope raised her voice at him.
Our father vamped in front of our sister pushing her into the wall. “She's not woken up! What do you call that, Hope? She is immortal and one of the most powerful creatures in the world but she hasn’t woken up yet!’
“Ug dad!” Hope winced under his harsh grip.
Shifting my gaze around the room I finally landed my focus on our mother. She was laying on the large king size bed in the center of the bedroom.  “Mom! What did you guys do to her?” I gasped vamping over to her bedside.
“We didn't make her take her magic back!” Hope snapped at my question.
Alina glared at her sister with golden werewolf eyes. “Shut up Hope!”
“They brought that Phoenix boy back from the prison world forgetting that it was filled with dark magic. But you’ve sister here refused to stop the spell when it started infecting them and the Saltzman twins. The magic is now inside of your mother including her own which she wasn't comfortable taking back yet.” Our father declared still holding Hope against the hardwood wall in the corner.
She attempted to get out of his grasp. “Like I said we didn't tell her to come rescue us!”
“Just be quiet, Hope.”
She tried to say something back but I stopped her. “Missy, I-”
“Silencio.” Snapping my fingers she shut her mouth and tried talking but the spell prevented her. “Dad, who do we call to help us?”
He released his grip on my older sister turning to face me. “I don't know, sweetheart.”
“Freya or Davina?” Alina questions.
Whipping my head around I raised my index finger to the open bedroom door. “Yeah no shit Sherlock. You know what how about you and Hope just leave!” I wasn’t normally angry about things but I was getting pissed with them.
“Missy, what have we done to you?” My twin asked me.
Shoving my fangs out of my mouth I snarled at my siblings. Over the top infuriated them for doing this to our mother and also for not telling me. “You didn't tell me what you were up to and like dad said you forced mom to put herself in danger. So just get out of here. I don't want to see you two right now!” Alina and Hope looked at one another before they left the room together.
Waving my hand the bedroom door slammed shut by my magic with my father lightly chuckling. “I must say I am impressed, Melissa. I knew you had anger in you somewhere.”
“Thanks I guess. I'm just upset they left me out and now she's in trouble and we don't know how to help her.”
Dad came over sitting across from me on the bed. “When you're sister was under a coma after fighting Josie she had difficulty facing the fact. It was a battle of the mind.”
“So what does that mean for mom?” I raised a brow at my father.
He lifted his gaze to meet mine, answering back. “It means I think we need to give your Uncle Elijah a call.”
Unknown to either of them MG and Ethan were sitting out in his truck in the Mystic High School parking lot just talking. Ethan pulled out an old radio scanner looking at the vampire. “I found one of my moms old police scanners. I thought we could use this instead of just waiting around not knowing where something bad will happen.”
“That’s cool, E. But you know we can just hang out.” MG shrugged his shoulders.
The human sat the scanner box in his lap. “And we are. But we should be ready for when you face off against the ultimate bad guy or girl.”
“You don’t have to worry about being ready, Ethan.”
Ethan sighed heavily. “Yeah that's what Missy says…which means to basically sit on the sidelines.”
“That isn't what I'm saying.” MG raised his hands out in front of him in surrender. “I just mean we can just hang out and be friends. Rather than spending all our time waiting for something serious to happen in Mystic Falls.”
Ethan shifts in the driver's seat of his truck. “Speaking of Missy could you help me with something regarding her?”
“Sure. What do you need help with, E?” The vampire perked up seeing the conversation take a different turn.
Sadly the hops disappeared from his face when the human responded to his offer. “I was hoping you could help me convince her to turn me into a vampire.” MG had nothing to say for he had lost any idea of what to say back in response. He only could sit and think that Missy wouldn't care for the confrontation later on.

5 - The Birthday Surprise
Tumblr media
Part 6
It’s About Time
Mr. Cooper parked the truck and let me and Georgie get out at the tire shop. Georgie had helped fix a part in his truck and now he had started working there. I dropped my backpack on the nearest work table and hoisted myself up to sit down to watch. “So you’re saying he's got a tire gift?”
“Yes ma'am. Just watch.” Hershel nodded standing by me.
George Sr entered the tire shop and his neighbor handed him a beer. “Let’s see what you can do.”
“Okay.” Georgie nodded, slipping on some overalls and picking up one of the torn tires and laying it down on the table across from me. He basically laid on the tire rubbing his hands over the surfaces whispering, until he lifted his finger off a certain spot. “Tell me where it hurts baby…got ya.”
“Did you actually find it?” Jumping off the table I parted my mouth open, surprised.
Georgie lifted his finger off the spot a few more times showing me. “Yep.”
“That’s incredible.” I couldn't believe it that he made it look so easy.
George Sr looks at his neighbor. “I've got goosebumps.”
“I told ya he's got the gift.” Hershel nodded, taking a drink of his beer. “So are we all good with him still working here?”
George Sr finished his beer. “Yeah. His mom just said if his grades slip then he can't anymore.”
“Would you want to work with me too?” Georgie looks in my direction with such excitement.
I paused in thought. “Well that'd be up to Hershel. Plus I was thinking of working at this sporting goods store. Dales I think it's called.”
“There's an offer there if you change your mind.” Hershel said throwing the empty beer bottles in the trash can.
Georgie shifts his eyes to the wall cloak. “Oh hey it's almost time. Dad, we better go.”
“Go where?” I ask my best friend.
Georgie takes my hand in his dragging me back to the truck with his father thanking the man. “You'll see when we get there.” The three of us climbed in the truck and drove out almost to the edge of the town line. There was this area just past the Medford town sign that we pulled into.
“Georgie, why are we here?” I asked him after he had helped me out of the truck.
We had snuck out there with a few of our friends the year before we were going into high school. It had become our personal camp area, especially since Sheldon didn't care for the outdoors. “You'll see. Come on.” He tugged me by the hand around the corner and down a small dirt trail until we came to a clearing of trees and I saw our friend group all waiting for us.
Ryker, Marlowe, Hannah and Ashley all cheered. “Happy birthday.”
“Georgie!” I throw my arms around his neck hugging him as a big thank you.
He hugs me back looking at his dad who brought in our bags from the truck. “I'll pick you all up tomorrow morning. Happy birthday Y/n.”
“Thanks, Mr. Cooper.” I smiled and he left in his truck leaving us teenagers by ourselves.
Hannah came over removing me from Georgie’s grasp and over to the cooler’s they had set up by some bag lawn chairs. “I was able to snag some stuff without my dad finding out. Happy birthday.” She hands me a wine cooler.
“Thanks, Hannah. Don’t go getting arrested now.” Her father was the local police officer of our town so we would be in deep trouble if he found out.
Ashley nudged my arm coming over to us. “Stop worrying. Hannah and I are great liars.” Ashley and I had first met in Kindergarten after she wanted to play legos with me and we have been close ever since. Not as much as me and Georgie but pretty close.
Taking a drink from the bottle Hannah peaked her head over my shoulder where the boys had gone over on their own to talk like we had done. “What do ya think they’re talking about?”
“Football.” I answered her.
Ashley added on. “Annoyed, we are already gossiping over here.”
“I’ve got one better. Our bros are interrogating Georgie to finally ask the birthday girl out.” Hannah did a thumbs down and made a wrong answer buzzing sound.
Ashley’s face lit up. “Oooh yes.”
“Are you two still on that fairytale concept we joked about in fifth grade.” I scolded them feeling my face begin to turn red so I took a longer drink.
Hannah aims her wine cooler bottle at me. “It’s not a joke, Y/n. You and Georgie are falling all over each other making it so obvious.”
“No we are not.” I fought back.
Ashley finished her drink, sending me a smirk. “You totally are.”
“I don't know what you are talking about.” I denied what my friends were saying.
Hannah taunts me. “What if I told you that he was dating Veronica and didn't tell you?”
“He wouldn't dare!” Stomping my feet on the ground my voice raised in anger.
Hannah waved her fingers in my face. “That proves it.”
“You totally like him!” Hannah and Ashley squealed at the top of their lungs, jumping around me in a circle.
Ryker came over to the three of us, Georgie and Marlowe following suit in his steps. “So birthday girl, you down for some football?”
“I'm a Texas girl. What kind of question is that? Of course I'm down. After drinks and pizza though, deal.”
Ryker stuck out his fist and I bumped mine with his. “Deal.”
Our group of six got settled on some lawn chairs around a fire that Marlowe got started since his parents had taught him the most about wilderness survival.
Leaning back in my chair I opened another drink Georgie was sitting beside me and we were just enjoying the sounds of nature. I glance over to him with the corner of my eye noticing that he was staring at me and I just now had noticed he had been. “What ya looking at me for, Cooper?”
“I got ya something for your birthday.” He reached inside his jacket pocket, pulling out something.
I trailed off until he held it up in the firelight. “Georgie, you didn’t have to get me anything. The surprise was enough - oh wow it's beautiful.” He turned out to be holding up a necklace that was a Locket which had a picture of us when we were really little all hugging up on each other.
Georgie nervously smiled. “So you like it?”
“I love it. Thank you.” I got up from my chair flinging my arms around his neck hugging him.
He wrapped his arms around my waist tugging me down to sit on his lap. We held onto the other for a few minutes until he mumbled into my hair and I drew back to look him in the face. “Happy birthday, darling.” Biting my lip I soon realized that we were extremely physical close to each other, which normally wouldn’t have been a problem if we weren’t in a very romantic setting sitting together around the fire and the rest of our friends were over by the coolers with drinks and snacks away from the burning fire.
“Georgie…” I mumbled his name slowly leaning down and he to my surprise leaned up looking like he was going to kiss me.
But the moment was short lived when Marlowe came running over to us. “Hey, you guys ready to play footbal”
“Yeah sure.” Georgie and I separated and I scrambled off his lap, catching sight of us both blushing. Yet I brushed it off going over to hang out with our friends with the idea still in the back of my mind that I almost kissed my best friend.
