omg yes? Like I don't think I noticed this on my playthroughs of me3 (I just took him as being condescending to everyone equally), but now that you mention it, I can't remember a single instance of him expanding on humanity's primitiveness (is that even a word?). Like imagine him being shown the prothean equivalent of a picture of a human, in the middle of a war, and him going "aw, that's cute" the way we look at cat videos when our life is falling apart xd -blue anon

Mhm! The most he calls humans is "primitive" when he lumps us with other species.

Like the fact they made a whole base on mars just too adorable. Maybe even it became a bit of a tourist attraction besides being a scientific base, where protheons come and look at the caveman humans and holy shit one just discovered fire!

Debating between themselves and making betting pools on what the humans will discover next no matter how slow our progression is. Looking at the cave paintings and handprints with fondness, thinking it's so adorable how we hug and cuddle one another for affection.

Humans quickly becoming a fan favourite main stream media, meanwhile the asari are weaving silk and having their knights era while we are banging rocks together and somehow all eyes are on us instead.

A video of the human who spotted the spaceship and shook their fist at it angrily gets spread around like wildfire, and every protheon is reposting it on their equivalent of twitter.

Javik, the hardened commander of 10,000 soldiers who has known war since the moment he was born, has a cute picture of a human as his phone background equivalent that he coos at whenever he opens his device. It's a primitive human clothed in fluffy animal fur and making a flower crown to the wolf they somehow domesticated who's sniffing the flowers thinking they're food and hindering the human's progress. But the human just looks amused at their companion's interruption.

Did they look at our love? Basic and plain in an endearing way? Did they consider all the ways they'd convince us to join the protheons without the need for any bloodshed? They didn't want to fight the humans, they wanted to gently coax us into serving them instead.

When the reapers came and they had to abandon all progress, did some of them hope for our survival somehow. Prayed to whatever higher power they believed in that the dumb cave humans stayed dumb long enough for the reapers to deem us too primitve to harvest.

Imagine his reaction 50k years later when he is met with the same fleshy faces and hairy heads of the race he used to watch funny video compilations of before, but instead of our carefree smiles, our expressions are serious, shiny innocent eyes hardened and carrying weapons that resemble the prototypes of protheon early space technology.

Humans discovered the protheon ruins after all, didn't we? On mars, it is the only reason we learned space travel. Did he witness us model our ships and engines after protheon technology and felt a nostalgic sense of pride and longing.

Javik watching the humans clumsily copying the protheons, trying to walk in his footsteps while holding hands with the rest of the galaxy and each other, while keeping the same stubborn hope our race was known for. The way each of us was so different that a whole team of scientists had to be assigned to a single human just to get enough results since there never seems to be a pattern that we don't immediately break.

Maybe that's why he is so open to Shepard, so quick to indulge our requests despite being defensive towards Liara. Maybe that's why he wants to explore the human ship and feel the traces of every human who has ever walked on these iron plates.

He does immediately agree to Shepard's request and calls them commander when you first talk to him on the ship, while refusing to address the others with anything besides their race titles for a while.

He wonders if we still enjoy head scratches or someone playing with our hair like humans did in their primitive times. He wonders if we still hug to show affection, he wonders if still kiss and love for the sake of love rather than reproduction.

He wonders if our spines are still a major flaw and a failure in our skeleton designs, how a back massage will surely relief the pain and he isn't saying he is offering but if you happen to complain about back pain near him and pat your cute human eyelashes then maybe he can help.

Like how we can't resist petting a cat or giving a dog a treat, he probably can't resist cupping a human's face or playing with their hair. He wants to pick you up and watch the confused look on your face, he wants to have your round pupils focused on him as you ask him to put you down, nervously swallowing as your throat pops.

Simply too endearing, something like humans shouldn't have existed. Too soft, too adorable.

Not built for war like krogan.

Not built for survival like Turians.

Not built for attraction like the asari.

It's a mystery why the universe saw fit for humans to look the way they do. Maybe it was a little treat for the protheons to have an entire race fitted to their taste.

And the fact humans DNA is really versatile, we can survive so many things, we can eat so many different foods and we have a long history of evolution ancestry. Our immune systems are more decent making us a great companion since we adapt to whatever environment we are thrown into.

Quickly fill in whatever role we are needed in, so many different opinions that can contradict themselves. Javik and the protheons knew deep down that the humans held a special kind of potential, that they won't always be the coddled baby race of the galaxy with the perfect cradle planet of earth.

That with the right tools, they might even match the high protheons, and in a way they felt pride at the idea of finding the perfect protege to their grand design.

Or just imagine Javik squeezing Shepard's face because the way human's cheeks are so squishy and made their lips part always lightened his mood. Javik is handling waking up after 50k years so well because he is on a ship filled with humans, much like a person waking up from a coma and being moved to a room full of therapy dogs and kittens.

LORE QUESTION YES PLS I WILL RAMBLE ABOUT THE LORE ALL DAY! Dragons can shapeshift yes! It’s something they have to learn and get better at, and some dragons are better at it than others. Elias (and mama walker, when she was still alive) could hold their human forms for months without needing to change back, while the kids need to shift much more often. It doesn’t necessarily hurt to hold a human form for too long, but it taxes a dragon’s energy and makes them much more volatile. They can also partially shift - which can appear anywhere on the spectrum from tiefling-like to Dragonborn from DnD depending.

Dragons are pretty rare in this universe, and the fact that the Walkers had two hatchlings survive to adulthood is a miracle - because dragons are essentially living weapons of mass destruction and humans stealing eggs and hatchlings is a real threat.

ok, tng update time. i'm quite behind! monday we did "deja q," tuesday we did "a matter of perspective," and then wednesday was "yesterday's enterprise."

deja q: NOT as bad as i feared but still not great. turning q into a human was a fantastic idea because in general it helps facilitate empathy when you see a character suffer, which worked a little on me, and then also i greatly enjoyed seeing him suffer because he was so annoying before, lol. guinan and worf kicking him when he was down were the best <3

another smart choice was to have data be the only one who had any sympathy for him - precisely because data's "feelings" ""can't"" be hurt and he's less likely to hold grudges. also, because data is wonderful and it's easy to get behind his cause of reforming q into some kind of functional being

AND it was good that the first time q felt shame it was because data almost died for his ungrateful fucking ass...correct response

unfortunately i still have many problems. during that section right before data's sacrifice move, all of the goodwill q generated by being fun to laugh at kind of evaporated because he was being annoying

SECONDLY, i have realized the reason i dislike q is because his main two personality traits have aged horribly. firstly is the "randumb~ XD" humor (the mariachi band at the end of this ep, the random napoleon soldiers from the other ep, his various costumes...). i think the only person who could ever do that kind of humor well was robin williams and they didn't cast him as q and also he's dead now, so knock it off. his second personality trait is that he's smarter and more powerful than anybody else in the room which he (and the people writing him) seems to think is a license to be an asshole to them, as long as it is charming assholery. think t*ony st*rk, house, bbc sh*rlock. this of course is a deeply flawed premise to begin with, but he doesn't even do it WELL. nothing about his assholery is charming. specifically i am thinking of all the "worf is dumb because he's a big brutish klingon" jokes, which are for sure fantasy racism and border on ACTUAL racism, because they're derivative of horrible antiblack stereotypes. not that q is the only source of this kind of stuff aimed at worf, but it's really damning that it's ALWAYS the first thing out of his mouth and played for laughs and made his "but worf i'm a klingon at heart too!" bit extra unfunny

anyway, bringing in a SECOND q to praise him for his "selfless" act is eeehh considering one q is already one too many and the act wasn't even that selfless. it would've been better if he said the only reason he was doing it was for data, specifically, so he could stop feeling shame - that's more genuine than trying to get me to believe he'd give himself up for that ship of people even if really what he was mostly doing was committing suicide.

nonetheless i DID really enjoy getting to see data laugh at the end. GOOD for him <3 also lmao, the moon is falling, so true. JUST like majoras mask

a matter of perspective: the one thing i don't understand here is the bit where picard is a horrible painter and then data insults his art. like yes it was funny but i thought it would have something to do with the main plot. riker sees events this way and that lady sees them this way. not unlike in the art room where everyone interpreted the nude model in a different manner!

ALSO, WHY IS THERE A NUDE MODEL. does that woman not live and work on this starship. does she not have to command respect from her coworkers the rest of the time. they didn't even do this in the holodeck where that sort of thing would have made sense!! the one time you WANT the holodeck around...

anyway, i thought this episode veered dangerously close to dud territory. trial drama is fine, even though it begs the question of why no lie detector in tng. holodeck recreation also fine in this instance, as was the murder mystery

but why ON EARTH did they feel the need to show a fake version of riker attempting to rape this lady and then have deanna go well that's the way she remembers it because i sense no dishonesty from her :) this is just the true way each of you remembers it :)

LIKE THERE IS A CANYON OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIKER'S VERSION AND THAT LADY'S VERSION. it's not like they can both partially be true. in one instance she flung herself at him despite his clearly being uncomfortable and in the other he forced her despite her asking him to stop!!! like in this case what you do is believe the woman except because riker's our protagonist we know he didn't do it except they never CLARIFY that he didn't do it??? obviously i don't think for a minute that he did, but of all the fucking things to leave open...

anyway i hated it. i actually hated it more than catherine did which may be a first for tng

ok, the premise of this was kinda confusing at first, but i don't give a single fuck. TASHA YAR!!!!!!

i was so happy and confused to see her but the more scenes she had...man. like, ok, they did not HAVE to have her make out with this guy. even in death they will not stop doing this to her. but the whole thing where guinan was like your death was meaningless and empty in this timeline so she decides to go back and die in the past instead...GOOD for her

also, i'm a little confused on my canon - i think the battle that other enterprise went back to die in was the one that worf's parents were killed in? which is why he wasn't on the bridge because he fuckin DIED at age 6 or whatever? i guess they must have done enough good to save at least some people??

anyway, ABSOLUTELY adored this one. tasha yar redemption arc. that was the LAST thing i EVER expected to see on tng but here we are. they even made that other captain a woman although lmao in the end they refridged tasha nd this other captain. STILL. if shes gotta die let it be better than the death she got in canon. i'll miss you queen

my one gripe, aside from her boyfriend, is that she and data had a lil scene in the elevator and im mad we could not infer from it whether or not they had fucked in this timeline. rip :(

THIS MAN! THIS BEAUTIFUL, DUMB, AMAZING MAN. It took me many years, but I have come to. Love. This. Man. One minute he's being beaten up by a girl who's basically half his height and writes everything backwards 'just because', and then the next he's a grinning badass ready to throw down with Aizen and has one of the most OP bankai in all of BLEACH...and then he goes off and gets a questionable fringe haircut (probably believing he's setting some new trend).

Like a lot of characters in the series, there's an unsaid depth to Shinji and you just end up wanting to find out more about him. When you realise the story is over though, you end up turning to fanon, and that's where you can get some awesome headcanons and theories about why Shinji turned out the way he did, what his relationships with others are like, and what he truly thinks about certain things (like Aizen).

When you sit down to think about his backstory, I don't know about you, but I just want to give the guy a hug. He thought he could keep an eye on Aizen before he did anything to endanger someone, but he ended up getting played and actually brought Aizen to the exact spot he needed to be to enact his plans. He was then thrown out of his home world, became the pseudo leader of the people he feels responsible for getting into this mess, and had to learn about human culture and find a way to live in the World of the Living. All the while he's likely blaming himself for what happened, seething about Aizen, and having to deal with a Hollow's voice trying to get him to go full carnage.

But then you see him turn all of this into a means to understand someone who had gone through a very similar experience: Momo. While Shinji had been blinded by his suspicion of Aizen, Momo was blinded by admiration for Aizen. Regardless, this use of of a blind spot and the betrayal she felt is something Shinji can most certainly relate to. So he does what no one else was doing at the time: letting her talk about Aizen. Its stated in Death Save the Strawberry that he never prevented her from talking about Aizen, and he would casually bring up Aizen in a conversation if he so happened to come up. It's in talking about Aizen and in telling her that her friends aren't leaving her behind but are waiting for her that he helps Momo recover from her trauma. He helps her back up on her feet, to become the lieutenant she once was, but with a much healthier dynamic with her captain. She's now more assertive with her feelings, expressing annoyance and exasperation towards her captain, but also able to laugh with him and know that he truly has her back. She retains some of her prior qualities (such as her willingness to throw herself into dangerous battles when her captain is harmed, like with Bambietta), but Shinji helped her develop and grow, and he saw a kindred spirit in her, and that probably helped him get back into his role as captain and motivate him to do right by the division. Hell, he apparently calls her his 'daughter' in We Do Knot Always Love You!! Who else does he think of in that way?! You can just SENSE the dynamic between these two, it was absolutely ingenious on Kubo's part to put these two together!

I love speculating on what his life was like in the World of the Living for 110 years, on his dynamic with Momo and his subordinates and the other captains, on his interests and how he runs the division...I JUST LOVE THIS MAN!

Ikkaku

To be honest, I just couldn't pick a suitable box for Ikkaku! XD I like the guy, he has his great moments (mainly with Ichigo and Yumichika) and I think he's one of the more unique character designs. His lucky dance is in my top 5 funny moments of BLEACH, and every now and then when I need a pick-me-up, I go watch a clip of the dance. However, he isn't oen of my favourites, so I don't think about him too often.

As for why I have 'genuinely. what the fuck'? Simply because of the filler episode where he makes these faces:

I cannot for the love of my think of any other BLEACH episode that has character pull faces as creepy and crazy as this. Also, the heck is happening with his hands in the final shot?

- Collector isn’t dumb. they know King is lying to them/making it up as he goes. they just don’t care because they’re free and they get to play a game

- since they’ve got the whole “stuck in one place for centuries” thing going on (and based on the shards floating around their pokeball thingy, they’ve probably been trapped and freed many times before) do you think they’ve become a bit claustrophobic???? man can you imagine what would happen if the Collector panicked or was afraid. the universe literally bends to their will, it’d be a disaster

- maybe that’s why the Collector hasn’t slept in forever. had a nightmare that affected reality negatively and decided to never sleep again

- the Collector does in fact have a name that isn’t the Collector. like, a real name. man wouldn’t it be funny if the way to stop him was to just yell his name in the most disappointed parent voice ever

- this is just something i think would be fun and interesting but the collector is either a human kid that got hit by a shooting star, or outright is a shooting star.

For anyone who found calling adversary "the kill-love route" weird, it's kinda translated from our language. However the common usage would be of a "love-hate relationship", which doesn't fit adversary route, so I change it up a bit

Not sure if I ruined their experience by saying some weird out of context stuff, but it definitely ease their fear so I'm going to keep doing that >:)

So my sister dm’d me in discord a while ago and this was the convo we got out of it

This is literally me and my sis going kinda batshit on a whole ‘Analzying Chuuya Nakahara’s intelligence’ that turned into ‘Analyzing and Comparing Sokouku smarts’ or something like that, so you’re gonna get this shit word for word cause I needed to share this, since it also came from a few hints of hcs made up on the spot and I thought that’d be funny XD

So like, imagine that when Chuuya was younger, many mafia members believed he wasn't all that bright, nor was he anything besides the strength of his ability. Normally, people who meet him for the first time would have some what of similar idea of him; not really smart, brash, hard headed, loud, angry, you know, the works.

They fail to realize that there is more to him than what they think, and that he is much smarter and more intelligent than they realize, he simply has a different way of thinking. We all know why people think he's a naturally angry person, which isn't entirely off the mark since Dazai gets on his nerves so easily and he acts out violently, but he may not only be calm, but also a really chill, passionate and empathetic person.

And I say empathy because the thought of him trying to understand every possible problem a human may face as best as possible is oddly fitting.

He may not speak intelligent words, but he is quite smart, it's just applied differently. If he has a good understanding of someone, he can calculate what they may do or say in certain situations like with Dazai, cause no one can guess what he's thinking, even most people in the Mafia, but Chuuya has a pretty good grasp on who Dazai is.

So Chuuya might be more people smart than academics smart, not to say that he isn't academically smart though. His train of thought is less of a complicated monologue, and more of a complicated visual unfolding in front of his eyes that only he truly understands. Not to mention, he might be pretty good at thinking out of the box, like spiritually or less in a creative way and more in a 'I can resonate with your soul' kind of way.

I can also totally see this misconception as a side effect of just who Chuuya is often seen around. Most of the people in the Port Mafia are freakishly smart, not many are any short of genius, and that can also technically include Chuuya when thinking from the 'People Smarts' perspective he has.

If anything, he probably also doesn't see himself to be anywhere as smart as them, undermining himself and his own abilities and smarts from always being the second to a person, never the first. So he doesn't put himself on such a high pedestal in intelligence, compared to all of his coworkers and superiors.

But if anything, Chuuya is smart in a way none of them would understand, like you said, I feel that even Mori would struggle to understand Chuuya, simply because of the way he must have been brought up, thinking that people were made for using, and not much else. Chuuya is probably the person who understands human emotions the best out of anyone in the Mafia, and as a result, fits perfectly with Dazai as the other half of Sokouku. It could also be said that a lot of people would think the people smarts thing lies in Dazai, when really, he simply understands how to manipulate the human emotions, and not so much understand them.

This same thing goes with your 'Chuuya wanting to understand every possible humane problem' thing. This in a sense of, people thinking Dazai would better fit that role because of his own inhumane being, when really, it doesn't fit, because Dazai always sees himself as 'Non-human', but doesn't have any will, want or motivation to prove himself wrong, but this trait shows in Chuuya, the part of Sokouku that's the most humane.

Definitely. Chuuya is constantly surrounded by people who are smarter than him in critical, tactical and strategical thinking that it makes him look clueless or, dare I say, dumb. Chuuya understands people best not only because he wants to be as humane as possible, but also because he understands those certain feelings.

In the Mafia an emotionless front or reaction to things is key, essentially ‘get used to and accept it’. Chuuya definitely is used to it and accepts it, but he doesn't let that desensitize him to emotions or certain situations as much as others, he reacts completely genuinely in accordance to his feelings.

Dazai is a master at manipulating people, but feeling and understanding emotions is a concept that Chuuya thrives in more than him and people don't often see that. Dazai triggers, exploits and mocks people's emotions while Chuuya considers, processes and understands them.

Chuuya has such a unique way of thinking to the point that, you may know the basics or something to the level of Dazai, but you will never truly be able to picture, imagine, understand nor comprehend what exactly is going on in his head. He may be predictable to some, but he's got lots of wit and thinks quickly in battle too.

Another thing. I think Chuuya’d be good at things like pick pocketing, making distractions, preservation and just general survival. He used to be on the streets (with the Sheep) so he'd definitely pick up a hell of a lot of street smarts that may not sound like something you would think to be all that useful to him, but are much more important than one would expect.

so, simply put, Dazai is put on more of a pedestal than Chuuya when it comes to human emotions, whilst in reality Chuuya is the more experienced one.

it's also said in the anime where Dazai states that he memorized and knows all of Chuuya's tactics, mannerisms, behavior and whatnot, but we can also very clearly see through Chuuya's actions alone that he's got the same reading with Dazai, even when he doesn't fully understand Dazai, since neither of them completely understand each other, but know more about one another than anyone else ever could know.

For Dazai, the understanding is more pronounced, explicit. While for Chuuya it's more subtle and implicit, a diverse dynamic of understanding people and showing that in different ways.

Perhaps Dazai picked up on the fact that Chuuya knows more than what opinions of him people are hooked on, but he still doesn't know to just how far that extent goes, showing there's still quite a bit of each other they need or have the desire to uncover.

 You are definitely right there. The two of them might not fully understand each other, but they see a hell of a lot more than other people could ever hope to dream of.

Dazai is placed on a pedestal for various reasons; respect, fear, his status, Mori's favoring of him etc, whilst Chuuya has none of that, but he has a useful ability and great loyalty to the Mafia. They balance each other out in their own traits. Dazai is academically smart, strategic, manipulative and has high status, while Chuuya is people smart, strong, resilient, loyal, street smart, and in a way he's unassuming.

When I say unassuming, I mean this in more than one sense; he has a petite figure, doesn't seem all that bright, hot headed, doesn't think for himself, but not only is some of that wrong, but also extremely useful to keep under wraps, as a way to manipulate people without all the mind games that Dazai does. He just looks like an angry teenager.

 I believe that Dazai not only acknowledges that Chuuya is much smarter than he appears, but he also respects that. Dazai himself knows how hard it is to understand him, and to see that Chuuya has a good enough grasp on who he is to be able to make a good deduction on his ulterior motives, or that fact that he had a motive in the first place, is impressive. He also prides himself in knowing Chuuya so well, of course because he's Dazai.

They may never fully understand each other, but Chuuya knows best that humans were never made to be fully understood in the first place, they are fascinating, yet fickle in such a way. Maybe he even believed that it was slightly pathetic in a way, while also acknowledging that he too will never fully understand humans, but he tries to understand as much as he can anyway

Yeah, I love talking to my sis about this stuff. We both just toss ideas at each other through text and over analyze stupid stuff, and also ramble like mad men, which led us to this new kinda thing that’s now become a bit of a headcanon to me. Just multiple hcs wrapped together along with canon, like a canon/hc burrito or some shit.

I also love how that’s how some of our hcs come about, from over analyzing things about characters and going ‘yeah, that makes sense’.

I'm shook by your reading habits. Not in a bad way, just surprised you don't really read Wilbur/Schlatt or Wilbur/Quackity. Majority of Dre/grge in makes me cringe bc they make them both OOC. Sounds stupid of me to say because all fanfics shoehorn their personalities in some way. I usually stick to Wilbur stories. I think when I gave a chance to your DNF series, it was the only enjoyable portrayal out there. What sort of DNF stories/tags do you enjoy? Are you disappointed by the offerings out there?

What I do is go through a tag, choose random filters based on the day, search by bookmarks then go through 8 pages, opening fics in a new tab I might read. Then, go through what I collect and see if I'm hooked. Usually out of 15 fics chosen I'll find 1 or 2 I'm like "hey, this was pretty okay." Rarely ill find something I'm like "gonna subscribe and camp this."

Manhunt D/NF

I do love DN/F Whump. If no one is hurt, it's hardly as fun.

I'm not going to lie, Manhunt!Dreem is my favorite. I really love him being a scary, but still funny and morally grey wisecracking man, but finding a fic where they don't make George a woman in a George disguise is hard. Why did you castrate him? Where is his feral energy, rude tone and the fact he's a 25yo man, writers?! If an author doesn't let George sound just as dumb as Spnap and half as cocky, I click off. The amount of authors writing themselves as George is unreal.

DSM/P Verse C!D/NF

I love XDN/F and love c!D/NF, but can't ever find fics I like of either.

So, with c!DN/F, I really search for a fic honestly written by what the fandom terms "apologist", but also, it can't defang him. Dre has to be bloodthirsty, but likable and charismatic. He needs to care, but do an awful job showing it. He has to be full of character!

But whenever I find fics that nail him, they fail at Gog or vice versa. Half the time I see "Gogy fixes him :)" No, Gogy does not fix him. Gogy is also just as messed up.

There is not an ounce of c!Gogy lore I've seen that would make me think he's not going to kill someone too. Have we all been watching the same man? He kidnapped Michael with Surpnurp and that was the funniest shit ever and the fact it got retconned I'm so sad about. C!Gogy is a nightmare. He's batshit, he's unhinged, he likes chaos. He's cold and standoffish to everyone outside his friends and a gremlin. But he also cares so much. Underneath that he's caring in odd small ways. He's going to steal your flower garden and then come back with a sandwich, hand you half, and then tell you a story about a cat he saw in the woods. He's lazy and a coward, yet cocksure and a persistent stubborn ass when he wants to be.

Yet fics write him like a victorian woman pining at the window for their love. Locked in a prison. How sad. He's going to criticize c!Dre for his wrongs? No. He's going to criticize c!Dre for not getting him armor and helping him and dethroned him and not giving him attention.

A fic I crave is a villainous c!Q (that's still sympathetic, and clearly written morally grey) killing c!Gogy. I want c!Q to taunt c!Dre. I want c!Q's obsession with power to push past his obvious love for his friends and I want there to be casualties. I want c!Gogy to be a price. I want his blood.

XD/NF Ramble

Now XDN/F. Oh man. My old writing long before DSM/P was in a fandom with Greek-like gods and I found myself pouring hours, and hours, and hours into researching religions as a teen. I came away with so many stories of gods who always were too inhuman, too powerful. Even out of love humans were hurt. Like many kids, I'd read Percy Jackson, but I saw a world of possibilities. I saw stories of humans falling in love with gods ending tragically.

But I haven't EVER dropped my obsession with stories of gods' and their human followers. I am so deeply in love with the concept.

But I fell in love with XD/NF because it was what I'd wanted, and honestly, George's lore eps are a HELL of a lot like the old media. You have to make sense of what's canon and not yourself and it's such what I wanted.

But...one AO3s filtering is limited by what people tag, and XD/NF isn't separated from D/NF in searches. And the fandom largely discards c!Gogy...just like they did for well...my old blorbo.

But anyway. I do actually have a super vested love for DN/F. Mostly AU fantasy verses, but I've read that one popular more RPF-esque one.

But the fandom lets me down ;-;. Mostly how they wrote Gogy.

I can’t judge, I straight up orphaned one of my works when it was halfway done cause my ADHD got so bad I couldn’t write so I feel ya there! I love your works so much, maybe one day I won’t be super shy and will come chat with you (I’d love to hear more on Kali if you want to share?). I was very briefly in a discord with the main author for a while and they did chat about how they hated their first characterisation of Ash so I know for a fact we’ll see some changes with her. If you read some of thier other fics that Ash is in she’s completely different so I’m hoping we’ll get a serious by the book upgrade to her. Either way I’m just happy to share the siege love and buzzed that you liked it. I think the author is on tumblr but I could never find them, probs a good thing 🤣 Keep up the good work, can’t wait to read what you come up with next ❤️

Oh sweet, I'd love to see how Ash is for them now cause yeah Ash is very much a more secluded trust issues sorta person, I wonder if their role will be given to someone more outgoing. #ADHD buddies, I have uh like two big fic's I was working on, one for ffxiv and the other for RE8 that I just... haven't updated. The RE8 one cause I got block and then the FFXIV one cause I forgot what I had and hadn't put in and couldn't be bother rereading my writing to edit properly XD.

Ah I feel you about being shy tho, I've joined discords for writing before and spent like 1 day there cause I'm too shy to talk lmao which is pretty funny cause I'm the Overshare Master 3000™ in rl.

But you see now you have me talking about Kali. So Kali is such a grey character. Because unlike someone like Ash or Mira she's not super black and white in terms of her actions and views. We see in her psych report that it's unknown how she feels about her country, especially with her born wealth. She's someone that's always gotten what shes wanted so to be refused to be deployed because that fact shes a woman, I imagine it would have been very frustrating and pissed the fuck outta of her. That being said I can't think imagine its the first time shes experienced sexism of course that leads to her in Nighthaven.

There must be some level of morality inside of her, to stay as a PMC rather than fully going underground- the fact she even applied for the military must mean something. I don't think it was out of the kindness of her heart though, shes not like that. Perhaps it's because of her love of combat. Shes careful to stay within the laws, adapting her PSC to become a PMC, she's known to be amazing at negotiating which is why it's so almost odd that they would be so easily caught in what's currently going. It just doesn't seem like them, for Nighthaven to take in Rainbow Operators then directly work out in the open with criminals, it doesn't quite add up.

Sure she's one for money and ultimately Nighthaven is a business but I can't imagine her putting it at such a high risk without proper motivation. Kali gets a lot from her deals as written in her biography right? So something this big such as putting everything shes built up on the line must have a high reward if she's doing criminal activity.

Kali is cocky, shes arrogant but shes not dumb, the fact that she planned out everything and got almost everyone she wanted recruited shows her talent for her leadership, shows her skill. But shes also still human, her support for Osa isn't something driven from manipulation, they wouldn't be so close if it was. In Osa's bio we know that Kali supported her through her transition and the pair of them are pretty much like sisters at this point. I imagine she has sympthay for Osa's struggles, Kali sure has been given a lot of things but shes certainly had to fight for a lot aswell. So shes not cold-hearted, she does care about someone else.

Now, shes a bitch. It's obvious, she taunts Ash, there's no need for it, but it makes me wonder if the same situation would have happened under Kali's command. Shes an advocate for doing anything it takes to get the job and for risks such as friendly fire so long as its non-lethal. In her interviews as her as captain she does mention that she doesn't want people to die, least her team. The entire situation is interesting because she went rogue when she used Ash as bait so I wonder if it was more in her control, would she have communicated to her team what she was doing? There was a disconnect in trust in a team that was designed to fail. In Nighthaven how does she lead? In such a situation you have to trust your leader, what does Kali do to keep that trust when she's an advocate for well shooting your team in the back (lowkey) Kali doesn't have the charisma, shes far too arrogant, perhaps it's her knowledge, she knows the battlefield well and her risks are calculated. Kali knows her skill level, shes good and knows it. So far we haven't seen her overstep that boundary unlike Grim (get dunked on idiot)

Anyway, Kali also has this one line in game when u kill (headshot?) someone which is 'bow before me' and every time my gay ass brain restarts. Waman pretty hot.

Hey, so this is going to be a whole rant, sorry I've been gone.

Lack of internet and mainly my job i feel like a workaholic 😭

Anyway, so not many of you know but I've been a TMNT fan for most of my life.

I, unfortunately, grew up with the 2012 series, there are several reasons why that show went downhill.

Donnie x April, writing, the romantic trope is written, the turtles all having a romantic love interest, Leo crushing on Kirai ( his sister may i say) and honestly lost me after the love triangle with April, Donnie, and Casey.

except for Raphael and Mona Lisa, i love them as a couple i wish rise had them in the show or movie.

I have seen the 1980s movies and cartoon shows of TMNT through my dad who is an even bigger fan of TMNT but only the originals.

I'll explain more on, however, 2003 or 2007 i have never seen.

Honestly, I have never loved TMNT more than Rise, I'm in love with Leo and Donnie smart and funny guys count me in XD

I recently started watching the show and when it came out and 15 year old me, did not give it a chance.

At first, i thought it was dumb, i still think they look like frogs lol and i was still confused why April's skin color was changed.

I was used to seeing white April than black April and my dad does not see her as April but as a completely different character.

I'll get back to that later but oh boy i missed out on a good show, given it is still too kiddy for me.

But i love the humor, animation and yes, i believe Leo and Donnie carry the show with the humor :)

Just watching season 1 is making me happy, I'm super into it.

I just love it's the opposite of the old TMNT and less serious.

The old TMNT never really got me into loving the turtles like Rise i just liked them like heroes until Rise..

Usually, Leo is the serious older brother, and leader, Ralph angry fighter, and Donnie is an inventor genius while Mikey is the big pizza lover and fun kid.

Raph is a giant softie older Brother, Leo is a dumb ninja, Donnie is genius still but autistic in this world which is confirmed and Mikey isn't a full-on pizza lover like in the previous media adaptions but an artist, a fun-loving kid who loves pizza like his bros.

I love the fact Shelldon's voice by the original Michelangelo.

I hope to watch season 2 and the movie soon, definitely won't see the movie til i see season 2.

I recently got into the Rottmnt fandom and made two OCs

Emily & Gwendolyn, i mention them because of the topic I'm going to bring up.

So as far as i will til i upload the drawings of my OCs.

Emily is a half-American half-Japanese teenage human girl, with a mysterious/dark past, best friends with April, and has a HUGE crush on Leo.

Emily lives with her aunt, uncle and cousins it is noting her father is not in the picture and confirmed he is deceased while the mother is a mystery for now.

It's a semi-canon Emily has a large dragon burn mark on her right arm

Gwendolyn or Gwen is Donnie's human online friend she is surprised that he is a turtle mutant but thinks it is cool, she is a geek, hipster, comic book lover, and mainly chill.

She is basically Ramona Flowers, with the chill vibe, hammer weapon, and dying her hair every day different color.

Gwen is a chubby, Hispanic teenage girl, she lives in New York with her family and is a classmate to April and Emily.

She is known as a smart gal, hipster internet blogger, and gamer.

She is a love interest for Donnie but is not confirmed until later on that they're dating (most likely early season 2 wise)

I recently heard that if you have a cartoon and you have a certain race that character has to be voiced by that certain race.

That kinda sounds like reverse racism, i would go into it but don't want to say anything wrong.

But if i were to choose voice actors for my OCs Emily definitely be voiced by 'Misuki' even though she is only a singer she would be perfect for Emily

Gwen probably would be voiced by Zoe Saldaña, i just see her voice like that :)

Now as for TMNT 2014 & 2016 Bayverse i did not enjoy as much the CGI was just weird and the first movie was alright but the second i wasn't into.

Once again one of the turtles had a crush on April, Mikey.

I dont mind mutant x mutant or mutant x human but it has become weird ever since 2012 Donnie had a crush on April 2014 Mikey had a crush on April.

And now mutant mayhem Leo having a crush on April. What's next Raph has a crush on April.

Personally, i think they should use a different female character to be shipped with the turtles other than April.

As some may tell i didn't enjoy the TMNT mutant mayhem movie, the humor was there but the writing and animation didn't make me fall in love with it, unlike Rise.

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.

Oh, this is an easy pick. X from Mega Man for sure (specifically the X series incarnation). He's seen as a genuinely friendly character no matter what species you are, and honestly, would easily keep me in check if for some stupid reason I did something dumb.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Ooh, a multi-fandom question! The funny thing is all three of these characters are involved in time travel shenanigans and are very tragic characters. Nope, no pattern there, nope.

Quint (Mega Man Classic): I bet no one is surprised by this, given that a ZX version of him is technically my Tumblr avatar. My OG favorite, Quint was actually the first character of any fandom that I completely fell in love with, and a lot of my early Mega Man fanfics were about him. There are still Mega Man fans that, to this day, recognize my old username of RandyPandy and think, "Oh, the Quint fan!" The games didn't explore him much, but the moment that I found out about his backstory, all I could think of was "Wow, that's an incredibly tragic character that can be interpreted in so many different ways."

Inigo (Fire Emblem): I actually played Fates first, so that means I fell in love with Inigo's older self, Laslow, first (my Corrin married him because I liked him the most out of the possible candidates). Then I played the Hidden Fates DLC and Awakening, and learned his backstory. His policy of "Smile so that no one knows you're hurting and so you can make others happy" really struck with me during a time where I tended to hide how I felt about a lot of things (I was in an abusive job when I discovered FE), and it really endeared me to him even more than his Fates self had.

Bruno (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds): This pick I had to think about, given that my two main fandoms are Mega Man and Fire Emblem, and every other fandom that I'm into, I tend to rotate around in my head (thanks, ADHD). But Bruno was my wallpaper on my old Windows 7 desktop until it died. Beyond that, he really brings up the question of what personhood is given that he's an android mimicking a dead human, and was probably one of the most interesting characters in the season that he was in -- he was a full-on mystery (and if you only watched the dub, he remained a mystery), though there were plenty of clues that he wasn't quite what he appeared to be (he really demonstrates the trope "Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass", and really, after he got his memories back, it's a question of "How much of his dumbassery was just an act so the others didn't get suspicious, and how much of it was his true personality, without the stressors of having to make sure the world survives?")

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

Ooh, a question about platonic relationships, there definitely aren't enough of those. If we're going with a canon friendship, then I'm going to have to go with the Doctor and Wilfred Mott from Doctor Who (though X and Zero from Mega Man were a close second, I went with these two because I absolutely adore them AND in honor of Bernard Cribbins). I've enjoyed every single interaction with Wilf and the Doctor in every episode that they've been in together (especially the ones in The End of Time), and their relationship really did strike me as very parent/child, and honestly? The Doctor needs that parent/grandparent-like figure that he can just go and hide from the world with.

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

Oh boy, where to even begin with this. XD Well, for one, I've seen enough Jujutsu Kaisen, Twisted Wonderland, and Danganronpa from you that I see that and my first thought is, "Oh, Kim's fandom!" Other fandoms that I've noticed that several of my friends/mutuals follow are My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Terraria, Final Fantasy XIV, and more. XD

Kirby used to be on that list, but that changed when I did research, watched the anime, played a few games, and then wrote Lucid Dreaming.

I hope that I'm not too late for this, but can I have a Scenario with Leona when something goes wrong in potion class and the reader turns into a lioness, and now Leona is tasked to take care of them until they found a cure. But while doing so, the reader started to try to court him: rubbing her head and body against his, grooming, wrapping her tail around him, even trying to find food for him either by stealing food from the cafeteria/kitchen, or by actually trying to hunt some animals (I can actually imagine the reader trying to hunt Grim XD)

Why by the love of the great seven, did he had to babysit you, or more likely lionsit you? Thanks to one of many accidents during the potion class, you, the one and only magicless student became a lioness! The only thing that Leona wanted is to take a nap and not stay around a lioness, who even tries to court him!

The prince isn’t dumb, he knows when lions try to court each other, and the thing you are doing totally screams: “Be my beloved! Love me! Notice me! Hold me!”. Leona’s eye twitches as you started rubbing your head on his, while he was laying on the fresh and grassy ground, ignoring the glances and stares of students that walked on the school ground, confused why the hell a lioness was in their school. But the students just shrugged, noticing that many strange things did happen this year, so the fact that a big lioness was there, didn’t really surprised many students. The only thing that had actually surprised them was, that the lioness loved to spend their time around Leona and only around him.

Why exactly did you wanted to stay around the grumpy big cat? Was it because he was a lion? Because he was strong? Because of his… smell? Leona sniffed on his arms, still wondering why you did this. You never acted so boldly when you were a mere herbivore, but look at you. You were wrapping your tail around him and nipped on his ear lovingly, gazing at him like a lovesick puppy lion would!

Leona raised his hand, trying to shove you away from him. “What is wrong with you? Are you in love with me? Were you even in love with me before your transformation?” His eyebrow rose, asking you, even though he knew that he couldn’t get a reply or any kind of those from you. You were stubborn, like any other lion and even if many students could listen and understand animals perfectly well, nobody understood your words. “Become you again. Your clinginess is so annoying. I need my nap.” He tries to shove you away from him, sighing as you now tried to groom him. “Stop it.” A small purr left you, while you continued. “(Y/N)…. Stop.”

He laugher interrupted you two. Your head turned to the noise for a second, before you started licking Leona’s cheek. “So our lovebirds are here.” Ruggie smirked, walking to you two. “Lovebirds?” Leona repeated the word, clenching his teeth at the laughing hyaena. “Sorry, sorry! I meant lovelions!” Leona stood up, clenching his hands into fists. Ruggie only laughed at the prince’s action and run away. “Don’t forget to go to your lessons.”

Right… His lessons. Maybe then you will leave him alone, if he attends one of his lessons.

But the poor royal lion was so wrong. You still had refused to leave his side, rubbing your head on him and growling at other students who even dared to stare at the both of you, until you left Leona in the middle of his class.

The prince sighed in relief, but was also irritated by you. Where were you going now? Well that question was answered after three hours, as he turned in his sleep. His bed was so comfortable and big. Just wonderful for every nap and unfortunately his dear nap was interrupted. “(Y/N)!! LET ME DOWN!” – “Hey, what do you want from us now? You never pulled us here, (y/n)!”

Leona sighed, he was getting more and more annoyed now. The professor said that you would turn back to a human after three days, weren’t those three days over by now?

The door of his room opened, as more screams made his ears twitch. “Why the hell are you all so annoying?!” Raising up from his bed, Leona scratched his head, seeing Grim and Epel’s sleeve in your mouth. “What the-?” – “(Y/N) wants to eat us!” Epel screams, trying to run away from you, but no matter what, the poor small purple-haired boy was weaker than you. Even back then, when you used to be a human, you were still stronger than him. Everyone was…

Your eyes shined with delight as you jumped on Leona’s bed, letting go of your two friends and throwing Grim onto Leona’s lap. “You want me to eat that thing?” – “THING!? WHO ARE YOU CALLING A THING!?” Grim screamed, wanted to burn you all alive, while Epel run away as soon as you had let go of his sleeve. He doesn’t want to get killed by you. You were out of your mind!

Your nose nudged Grim and then Leona’s mouth. “I won’t eat it. It’s dirty and disgusting.” Leona said, throwing Grim off of him. “WHAT DID YOU SAY!?”

While the both cats now discussed the current situation, their conversations and another of Grim’s silly insult were interrupted by a loud puff sound. Smoke filled the air of the large room of the Savanaclaw dorm leader, as he coughed at the smell of it. “What was that?” Grim asked, now staring to the place where you were sitting. “Huh? (y/n)!! You are back! You are you again!”

Your (e/c) eyes glanced down to your hands and back to the room around you. What did you do? Why were you here? You barely had any of your memories of the time you were a lioness, so it was very weird for you to be in the Savanaclaw dorm and not in yours. “Huh… Leona? Grim? What are we doing here?” You asked, until Grim had told you what you did in the three days during your transformations.

A week passed by, since you became a human again and everytime you saw the lion prince, your cheeks turned redder than Riddle’s hair and run faster than Jack could ever do. “AAAHHH!! WHY ARE YOU PULLING ME!? WE WANTED TO BUY TUNAAAA!!” Grim squeaked out, as you run away from the prince and laughing hyaena. “Oh man, is that funny. Mh… Where are you going?” Ruggie asked the prince. “Go back to the dorm. I have something to do.” Leona’s lips turned into a smirk, while his legs moved towards the direction you had escaped to. A low chuckle left his throat. “It’s time that I have some fun…” He mumbled, ignoring the sigh of Ruggie, who shrugged his shoulders. “Let’s see what the lovelions will do…”
