the witch and the beast

synopsis : you're a witch that cursed the oh so great beast : leona kingscholar

- implied fem reader with she / her prns ( in the manga witches are only females so )

- undercase intended

- reader is not perfect ( yuu is their own character here )

- probably ooc i don ' t write leona much

- short one-shot with no happy ending but isn ' t angst at the same time

inspired by : the witch and the beast ( manga )

"you got cursed by a witch ? i thought there were only mages, not witches" yuu asks, surprised by the lion.

"of course there are witches" leona shrugs, lying down on the grass.

"well... do you know how to undo the curse? maybe we can undo it without the witch undoing the curse" yuu asks, trying to stay hopeful. their 'friend' got cursed by a witch, of course they would wanna help.

"listen, there are two methods to undoing a curse by a witch. either the witch and the person kiss or the witch undos it, nothing else" leona says, trying to go to sleep

"does it have to be a loving kiss? if so you might just be cursed for the rest of your life" yuu says, sighing in defeat. leona shrugs at this, some people say it just has to be a kiss while other says it has to be a kiss of love. either way it wouldn't happen, he doesn't even know the witch's name for crying out loud!

"listen, herbivore, i do not know who the witch is, i do not care who that witch is, and i dont care what curse she put on me, so get out and let me sleep. get to class or something" leona says, preparing to close his eyes. grim was probably sleeping in their dorm already so they probably should go, with that they left and didn't come back for the day.

well, that wasnt true but did he know that? of course not! the curse was him forgetting, he forgets his one true love : the witch herself. she didn't mean to curse him, she really didn't. now, here she is sitting alone in an empty house waiting for her lover to come home. she wishes to undo the curse, really she does. although, you can't particularly undo a curse when you didn't know how you cursed the person in the first place.

how did it happen again? ah, right. they met in a forest when the witch got lost, the beast guiding her to the right path and day by day they grew closer. so close they called themselves lovers! except, one day she accidentally cursed her lover, the one man who loved her despite being a witch. he forgot about her, went off to college, and has yet to come back for.... 4 years? even if it's not the exact time it's still been a while.

-this was meant to be like a paragraph long but enjoy the meal I guess.

“Oi herbivore.” A deep voice that you were oh so familiar with flooded your senses as you rubbed your eyes. Turning your face towards the feline classmate, you noticed him peering down at you with a slight smirk. Someone was clearly enjoying themselves, knowing that they were the reason you weren’t able to sleep through your history class. In history, you’d have an upper hand. Just like your seat mate, you were also kind of a gifted child.

Ruggie had had enough of Leona’s bullshit, so he decided to take matter into his own hands. With the prince’s wallet, he purchased caffeine *cough* *cough* definitely not a type of drug *cough* from the local shop i.e. Sam’s. He then proceeded to dump it in the feline’s morning breakfast. Henceforth, the cat was unable to sleep.

“What?” You asked, clearly annoyed. Just because Leona was facing hell didn’t mean you also had to. You could admit that his right hand man was quite helpful at times, but you couldn’t help the want to fucking kill his ass for handing you the lion you loved and cherished dearly.

“Nothin’. Just makin’ sure you’re takin’ all those notes. Don’t want ya failing.” He said. Without warning, he then proceeded to pull your head where his arms were resting on the desk, laying your head down carefully on one. Before you could even register what happened, you felt a hand caressing your hair, Leona’s to be specific. Fortunately, both of you were sitting in the last row so no one was able to see you both.

That day, for the first time in forever, the prince had properly attended his classes. But in turn, his gentle touches made you too sleepy to stay awake throughout the remaining classes. Guess it was some sort of ‘revenge’ on his part, putting you in his shoes for a day. Not that you minded though.

In which Human-Grim has to take care of our NRC-Boys-As-Animals, and has a time of it. This was a lot of fun to do, a lot of the characters already had animal motifs, others where very hard to come up with an animal equivalent. Still not particularly happy with some of my choices, but c’est la vie. Also been a hot minute since I've spent this long on a drawing. Twisted Wonderland has me in an absolute vice grip, consumes most of my waking thoughts, clears my skin, waters my crops ... I'm tired and starting to not make sense. I shall end my inane ramblings here.
