How about Tokoyami, Shinsou, Tenya, and Sero with a playful childlike s/o who always smiling (like they could have literally be in a serious fight and they’ll be cracking jokes and giggling throughout).
I started writing this last night and don't have time to finish it this morning, so sorry, we're missing Sero. I'll try and come back and add him after work.
Tenya gets migraines with you and your coping mechanism. You are his precise opposite, seeing rules as a suggestion and life as a reason to have fun.
Even during fights, you're laughing in villains' faces and providing witty one liners. He'll admit to cracking a smile every now and again, particularly when you've verbally roasted the enemy, but still you can't always treat life like a joke.
People are three dimensional, no one's happy 100% of the time, so when that crash does happen, Tenya has a way of being there.
He doesn't gawk at the lack of a smile on your face, or try and get you to laugh again, he lets you breathe, with no pressure to be your "usual self", you get to relax, truly relax.
Tenya invites you to his room to do your studying, claiming he's created the optimal environment for it in his dorm.
It usually results in you being so comfortable you end up spilling your guts to him, or falling asleep somewhere utterly random.
Tenya never complains, keeps inviting you week after week, to give you that little moment where you don't need to be the jester.
Shinsou won't lie, it was downright annoying at first.
Both you and Kaminari, high-energy balls of go go go!
He doesn't know how you do it, he's tired just looking at you, always with that infuriating...gorgeous, sunny smile on your face. You have the audacity to light up the world without really trying, you make a joke out of everything.
In grave situations though, that sense of humour of yours turns...sinister.
"Welp, we're getting our asses kicked, but at least we're doing it with style!"
"Sure, let's all march into the corridor of destruction, I'm sure Bakugou won't laugh too much as he blows us to teeny tiny pieces!"
"My ass is going to get firmly kicked, but hey, we're learning right?"
The sarcasm was on the mark every time, and you didn't seem to care that Jirou levels you with the death glare to end all death glares, it's all in good fun.
Your humour sometimes alienates you, Shinsou's seen it, but it never seems to be reason to make you stop. That smile turns out to be your little rebellion of self, and Shinsou loves you for it.
Tokoyami was drawn to you from the start, which made you quite the ironic pair. You were a ray of sunshine, almost literally (bonus points if you have a light based quirk), and he...was not.
He tries not to be dower and depressing, he does have a sense of humour, and you have a way of making him laugh in the oddest situations.
Hawks took you both on for the workstudy and ended up meeting the bloody dynamic duo, you blend seamlessly together and help each other keep up with the feathered menace. Alone, either of you is a force to be reckoned with, but together?
People joke that the two of you are joined at the hip, but you can't help it when there's an innate comfort in his presence, he doesn't even have to try.
The quiet moments are his, when you both fall silent in your room and just...exist together. Sharing space while occasionally sharing a thought, there's never any pressure in each other's presence.
Someone made the mistake of claiming the two of you shared a braincell once, and you've never let it go.
Your running joke is: "Sorry, can't talk right now, Fumi has the brain cell."
Fumikage picked up on it, and now his response when everyone looks at him funny is: "I won't be giving it back until you promise to stop using it for evil."

Hello lovely Ducky! I was wondering if I could get an emergency request? I’m going through a lot and am struggling with bad seasonal depression. Recently, I’ve really needed encouragement and some sort of hope, but instead of it, I lost a friendship. It was kind of a huge blow to my mental health. No pressure ofc, I know it’s exam season right now and you’ve got your own life, so don’t feel pressured and don’t rush! thank you in advance and ily I hope you’re having an amazing day!! make sure ur drinking water!!
Heya, Kross!
This took 4000 years, so I hope it’s not too late!!!
I hope you’re feeling better :(
I will personally fight your friend, don’t even worry.
I hope this provides you some kind of comfort! If not, feel free to request again!

Exam season at U.A was never an easy time of the year. Multiple tests, multiple classes of work to still turn in, and atop of all else, this time of year is when things started to weigh heavier on you.
You try your best to make it through the day, but it never seems to be enough for those close to you.
Although you explicitly have stated that this time of the year is hard for you, your friends swear that you’re avoiding them on purpose.
Overtime, you got used to it. But this year was different.
While you were studying for your heroics exam, a text buzzed on your phone. You reached over to it and read the words “we need to talk”
Instantly, your mind raced with all of the things that could’ve been the issue. You didn’t have to do much soul-searching, however, when you received a huge paragraph from your friend.
It was clearly copied and pasted, meaning that your friend had put some thought into, and maybe even asked others for help with, it.
Your heart dropped into your stomach as you read about how your “friend” claimed that you were avoiding them on purpose, and how they felt neglected by you.
Frustrated, you start to text them back, explaining in vain that it was just because of the time of year, and that you really didn’t mean to ignore them. By the time the text had sent, there was a delivery error.
Your friend had blocked you.
Your mind and emotions went numb. You shut your book and laid down on your bed with bleary eyes as you thought about all of the moments you had with your friend.
Defeated, you stood up to turn off your desk lamp, and went to bed with tears streaming down your face.
As time progressed, you had scarcely come from your dorm. You spent your time studying when your mind allowed you to. Most of the time, you could only lay on your bed in defeat.
Luckily for you, your green-haired best friend had noticed your recent absence. Izuku was nervous about your disappearance, and would bring a plate of food to leave at your door. When he knocked, you wouldn’t answer him, so he figured that something must be very wrong.
Eventually, Izuku gathered the courage to knock and stay there until you replied to him.
“(Y/N)? It’s me. I know you’re in there,“ he murmured as he rested his forehead against the door. “I just want to know if you’re okay.”
You sighed as you looked at the door. Were you really in the mood for company? What would his reaction be? Was it worth it?
You rolled over in your covers and stared blankly at the wall.
“(N/N), I’m not leaving.” His voice was a little more stern, almost as if he was upset with you.
“Go away,” you mustered.
A gentle gasp was heard from outside the door. “Please let me in… I promise I won’t bother you.”
You readjusted yourself to be turned away from the doorway. Sighing, you decide to let him in.“Door’s been unlocked since Tuesday.”
You closed your eyes and waited. Within a second, the knob of your door turned, and it was pushed open.
You heard a gentle gasp and a forlorn voice. “(N/N), please, talk to me.”
“Nothing to talk about.” You replied.
Izuku sat next to you on the bed and put his hand on your shoulder. “I will not leave your side until you at least acknowledge my presence.”
You rolled over and your teary eyes met with his own. You didn’t have time to react before the boy wrapped his arms around you tightly.
“I’m sorry if you don’t wanna be touched right now, or if you just wanna be alone, but I know in my heart that you need this.” He whispered, running his hand along your head. “Tell me, what’s going on in your mind?”
His soothing words and comforting touch made you instantly dissolve into sobs. Izuku held you close, whispering reassuring words into your ears. “It’s okay, it’s okay… shhh… I’m here, it’ll be okay. Im not going anywhere, I promise you’re safe with me.”
As soon as you calmed a bit, you started to pour out all of your troubles. They flowed out like water, and you were unable to hold them back.
Your friend held you securely, hoping to convey his solidarity. Izuku listened intently to every single world that you said, nodding in acknowledgement.
When you finished, he wiped your tears and took both of your hands.
“I’ll preface by saying that I’m so sorry that this happened to you… I can’t even begin to imagine how awful this must be, especially during this time.”
“I want you to understand that this isn’t your fault, not at all. You expressed clearly that you are feeling a certain way, and your “friend” didn’t respect that. You can’t be responsible for how they feel, because you tried to explain what had happened.” His thumb came up to your cheek as another tear fell from your eye. “They chose on their own to not listen to you. If it’s worth anything, I personally think that this individual is not your friend. If they were really someone who wanted to have a bond with you, they wouldn’t do this to you.”
“You can’t control how you feel either. Depression is a sickness, and you can’t force it to go away. You’re trying your best, and that’s all anyone can ask of you…”
You rested your head on his shoulder, and he kissed the crown of your head. Closing your eyes with a sigh, you finally spoke. “I just don’t get why you can be so understanding but they can’t…”
“Because some people don’t take mental illness seriously.” He replied, tracing circles on your shoulder blades. “It’s dumb, but some people just don’t understand how terrible it really is… I just hope that I can be enough of a support system for you.”
You hugged him back him tightly “You’re more than enough… You’re the only one who’s cared to check on me after all this time, so thank you.”
Izuku cradled the back of your head with his hand as you hugged him. “Just take a minute and rest, I’ve got you…”
As your residual tears finally started to dry, Izuku helped you to lay down and rest your head in his lap. He ran his fingers through your hair as you closed your eyes.
“Don’t worry about a thing right now… just get some sleep, I’ll be right here if you need me.”
Before you fully fell asleep, you swore that heard Izuku mutter a few words.
“I wish they’d only see you how the rest of us do…”

"Proud of you."
"What?"
You look up at Bakugou who has concerned written in his eyes. He goes to kiss you; you're taken aback but don't pull away and kiss him back. After a moment he pulls away.
"You'll be ok baby."
He walks away and you just watch him. You don't know how he knew but you really needed to hear that.
a/n: wrote this for those who are stressing in life right now. (me with finals)

i need the bkdk reluctant bff era where things are relatively normal post war and they have to awkwardly try to do normal friend things because they both acknowledge that their lives are intertwined and they're actually important to each other but there's no war where they can simply express all their feelings by sacrificing themselves for each other so instead they just have to like hang out and idk watch movies together or something

dabi with a s/o who has a healing quirk
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: touya todoroki / dabi x gn!reader
tags: hurt/comfort, painful quirk / quirk with drawbacks, reader is a league of villains member, protective dabi
Tumblr media
you met dabi when you joined the league of villains
you were responsible for patching up the villains after their assaults against the heroes
at first, dabi didn't think much of you
but the two of you started to chat with each other a little each time you were healing him
he realized that you were too nice to be a villain and yet you had decided to stick with them
you could've joined any hero agency you wanted to with your quirk and yet you had landed here – with the villains!
he was intrigued by you and he couldn't help falling for you
dabi started to ask more questions about you, to learn more about your past, trying to understand you better
and it was during all of that that he discovered something about your quirk. something you had been hiding from him and the league of villains
your quirk had always seemed a bit too perfect in his eyes. you could heal any wound and it would barely even leave a scar
but there had been a drawback to your quirk. one that you had been keeping a secret from everyone
whenever you were healing someone, you could feel their pain
all those times when he came back half dead and let you heal his wounds, you could feel his pain as well…
as soon as he realized it, dabi started to feel horrible about it
he had put you through so much pain, without even realizing it! you were suffering all those months with him…
and you were healing the other members as well!
he couldn't even imagine how painful it must've been to be burdened with everyone's pain each day
now that dabi knew about the drawbacks of your quirk, he tried to avoid letting you use it
and he started to scold anyone who depended on your quirk too much
dabi would much rather prefer to watch his comrades suffer than you…

bf!Bakugo comforts you (fem!reader) while you're in a vulnerable state. 『 ♡ - k.bakugo x fem!reader 』 tw/cw: 18+ themes | depression/intrusive thoughts, sex (but not smutty) ⋆ ˚ʚɞ — This thought just soared into my head and I needed the comfort because damn, it sucks when this happens. -`✧ katsuki bakugo masterlist
Tumblr media
There it was.
That familiar numbing feeling.
It followed you wherever you went, waiting idly in the shadows of your mind for the moment to strike. You could control it from time to time, sure, but that didn't mean it wasn't able to act against your will in the blink of an eye.
You shouldn't be spacing out right now, lost in the bottomless abyss of empty thoughts. You need to be present and not watching yourself from the outside - the intrusive droning voice in your head repeating negative commentary on an endless loop as a distraction.
It's as if you can feel the light drain from your eyes like water running down a drain. The chemical reaction in your body fights to keep you engaged in life, fighting an endless war with your inner demons. It was exhausting, especially when you didn’t have a reason to pin the blame on.
A gentle touch to your cheek drags you back into your body, a faint gleam returning to your dulled irises.
"Y'okay, peach?" Katsuki asks, eyes aflame with affection and sweat glistening through the blonde strands on his forehead.
The embarrassment that floods your body is fierce and settles in your nerves. You bite your lip, desperately holding back the tears that threaten to stain your cheeks.
His body was sweltering hot against you, chest heaving in tandem with your own. Katsuki slows his pace to a pause, gazing down upon the flush spreading over your body.
“Hey, ‘s okay, baby,” he whispers, leaning into the crook of your neck to plant multiple soft kisses to your skin.
“Do you want to stop? We can stop.”
“N-no, sorry,” you say meekly. “I’m okay.”
You weren’t, and Katsuki knew that. He can tell by your mannerisms and the touch of your fingers aimlessly roaming his back. You’d been a space case since coming home from work earlier in the evening. He was shocked when you asked for sex in the first place, but obliged after your insistence that you were okay.
“Really, it’s not a problem if you wanna stop.”
“Please don’t. I need you,” is all you can manage to say before choking back a sob. You needed him to fill you with a warmth only he could offer, stoke the fire inside of you to bring light to the darkness fogging your brain.
Katsuki cradles your cheek in his palm for a second time, thumbing away a stray tear as it falls from the corner of your eye. It pains him to see you struggle with these things because he didn’t quite understand it, but he did his damndest to give you what he could to help. Whatever you needed, he was more than willing to give if it meant getting to see your radiant smile.
“Okay, just keep your eyes on me, baby. I’ve got ya.”
Katsuki’s voice makes the butterflies in your stomach return, violently fluttering at his words of encouragement. You follow his praise, focusing on all of the tender devotion he’s serving to you - the sensual tempo of his thrusts, how he lowers his body to meld the two of you together as one, the delicate ways he touches your skin. All of it, and all of him, release the demons you clung to moments prior.
Your soft sobs evolving into hushed gasps fuel his desire, assuring him that you are no longer occupied by the looming clouds swirling in your head.
“I love you,” Katsuki sighs into your ear, breathless as his rhythm quickens. “So goddamn much.”
Your hands are clamoring to his hair, grasping at the roots as you squirm beneath his hold. He swoops down to steal your lips, swiping his tongue along your bottom lip to beg you to invite him into your mouth. And you do, letting him consume you in a passionate kiss as you feel your body tense, the fire in your core ready to explode. Your moans entangle in each other's mouths as you simultaneously reach your limit together, orgasms wracking your bodies collectively.
Katsuki breaks your kiss, panting with swollen lips as he pushes his hand through your bangs, separating the wisps of hair to place a kiss to your forehead. He kisses your lips again briefly before nuzzling into your neck.
"I love you, too. Thank you," you say, monotonously dragging your nails on his scalp in your blissful state. He shivers at the sensation, growing sleepier by the minute.
"Sweets, I gotta clean up before we sleep," he protests, struggling to gather enough energy to do so.
You smile into his hair. "Aw Kats, just one more minute, please."
Katsuki doesn't budge, accepting his fate as his eyes flutter closed.
"Fine, just because y'asked nicely."

you know those nights were you just feel like crying , you probably don't even know the reason why. all the stress, work, expectations and just reality had to hit you, yet he would still be there, he won't pressure you into to talking, won't force anything. he would cradle you in his arms, pat your back, caress your gorgeous hair. gosh he's so patient with you. your tears may even wet his shirt a bit but he doesn't care, because now your tears are gone and your little soul is just resting in his embrace, he rubs little circles on the back of your hand and sweetly, softly places kisses on your perfect forehead. he's just letting you know that he's always there for you and will listen to your rambles and worries whenever you feel like you need it.

Hello! I hope your day/night is great!! Can I request for kiribaku with a male reader who they found crying in the bathroom because of stress, it was the first time they saw the reader cry because the reader is the type of person who say to others "I'm fine, nothings wrong" when they're actually not fine Take your time btw! <3
Hey! I know I've got a different ask to work on as well but this one just spoke to me today, and I've never been good at doing things in order haha!
Be warned of strong language (Katsuki's a potty mouth) and implied blood, nothing too serious though.
Let me know what you think!
Dynamight and Red Riot were a sight to behold, stampeding through the city as fast as their legs could carry them, away from the scene now under control.
A villain with an incredibly volatile quirk lost their cool in the middle of a busy shopping mall, he would've brought down the whole building if it wasn't for you.
Dynamight and Red Riot had been doing damage control outside the building, trying to get the hundreds of people to safety, they had no idea what you were dealing with inside.
The villain took a hostage, a little girl. You'd been fighting for her life for the past four hours, and though you'd won, you'd had to use more force than you would have wanted too.
That villain is barely clinging to life, the child now safe with the paramedics looking for her parents, but you, you were nowhere to be found.
It was a gruelling hour, waiting to hear from you, until Red Riot got a call from your secretary at the agency building,
You'd stormed in half an hour ago, and hadn't come out of the bathroom.
Your partners burst into the front door of the agency, checking every bathroom they passed before finding the one on the third floor, locked.
"Oi! Get this damn door open or I'll blast outta the damn wall!"
"Bakugo, chill." Kirishima placated, fighting to catch his breath after the all-out sprint to your side. "He doesn't need you yelling at him right now."
Bakugo forced himself to take a deep breath, forced himself to reign in the fear of whatever could be wrong with you. Images of you sitting at the edge of the sink, trying to stitch up your own wounds flashed through his mind. You'd done it before, and had the gall to smile sheepishly at him the whole time.
Kirishima stepped up to the door, placing a gentle hand on the blonde's shoulder. "Please let us in, baby. We just wanna make sure you're okay. You know he'll do it."
It would not be the first time Katsuki caused property damage for his boyfriends.
Eijirou tenses as he heard footsteps on the other side of the door, the boots you wore for work were sturdy, it amazed him how you could tread so softly in them.
The door eased open, but you remained out of sight until they both stepped through the door, and you slammed it shut and locked it again.
Katsuki audibly gasped at the sight of you, covered in dust and soot, thankfully no blood, but...
Streaks of tears cleaved paths through the dirt caked on your cheeks, your eyes, bloodshot and glassy, continued to pour crystalline tears, sticking to your eyelashes.
For a beat, your boyfriends are frozen. Years, years they've known you, through UA, into the pro-Hero world.
Never, never have you shed a single tear.
Or at least, not in front of them.
"Oh...oh baby." Eijirou is immediately in comfort mode, but he doesn't quite know which approach to take with you. Did you want space, to talk about it?
To your surprise, it's Katsuki who steps up with no hesitation and yanks you into his arms, gauntlets clattering to the floor as he threw his arms around you in a bone crushing hug.
You whined, buried your face in your neck, clinging to the material of his costume. His grip was tight, almost too tight, and exactly what you needed, grounding you in reality, in him, from where you'd been drifting in your worst regrets.
"You did good." He whispered softly, nuzzling into your hair. "You did so good, hero."
You stopped holding back the tremors, and Eijiro was soon at your back, enveloping you both in his big arms, pressing kisses to the back of your neck and whispering sweet nothings to you until the shaking stopped.
You lifted your head, coming face to face with Katsuki's blazing crimson eyes. He tutted at you, painfully gentle as his thumb wiped the tear tracks off your cheek.
"Tch, asshole, even when you're cryin' you're the prettiest son-of-a-bitch I've ever seen."
"Katsuki!" Eijiro chuckled even as he scolded your explosive boyfriend.
"What?" Katsuki huffed at Eijiro, cradling the back of your head and pressing a kiss to your other cheek. "I'm not wrong, see!"
Katsuki spun you around to face your other boyfriend, and you could already feel yourself smiling at their antics. Katsuki has a way of making the worst situation feel...no so bad.
He's obnoxious, but, consistent.
Eijiro, sweet, big teddy bear Eijiro, leaned down to press kisses to your forehead, your cheeks, your nose, until he'd kissed away anything remotely resembling tears. "Yup, still handsome."
By now, you can't hold back a smile, and you wouldn't want to anyway. "Thank you."
"What're you thankin' us for? You did the ass kicking!" Katsuki announced proudly, wrapping both arms around you to rest his head on your shoulder. "Seriously, babe, you did good."
You took a deep breath, let yourself lean into him. Eijiro smoothed your hair down, cradling one of your hands to his lips to kiss your bruised knuckles.
It'd take some convincing to get you to let go of the guilt, you held yourself to impossible standards, your boyfriend's know that about you.
Luckily, you're dating the two most determined men on this Earth, determined to love you, tears and all, men who think no less of you whether you announce your feelings to the world, or tuck them away to yourself.
"Let's get you home, hero."

Izuku was attentive.
Always taking notes on his classmates, he had to be. He knew everything about everyone, so he was bound to notice that something was off.
His first suspicion was when he was meeting with you in the common area.
You had gotten there before him. To not scare you, he gently placed his hand on the small of your back. “Hey! Thanks for waiting for me.” He chirped.
What he most definitely didn’t miss was the way you instantly tensed, and hitched your breath, as soon as the surprise contact came.
“H-Hey, Izu’! You chimed in reply.
He didn’t miss the way you stumbled over getting the sentence out either.
He finally knew that something was wrong when the two of you were walking back from class together.
The paparazzi and reporters were present to get insight on a battle your teachers had fought. They were completely lining the walkway.
You were calmly taking to him, smiling through your conversation. Your smile was replaced by terrified eyes when you felt someone roughly grab your shoulder.
“Mx. (L/N)! Can you give us any details on the brutal attack on U.A staff?”
You shook your head No and walked forward, but this reporter was determined. They grabbed your wrist, causing you to cry out, and tears to prick the corners of your eyes.
Hearing this, Izuku turned around quickly, and raced over to where you were. He stared the reporter down, gripping their own wrist harshly. “No further questions at this time, we’re late.“
His voice was guttural and tone venomous; you had never seen him so pissed off before.
The reporter released your wrist, and you immediately took a few steps back from them, only to be grabbed by another one. You squeaked and retreated to Izuku’s side.
The green-haired male glared at the crowd around him. “Is it alright if I hold onto you?” The whispered request was only heard by you, in which you nodded instantaneously.
Your friend placed his right hand on your right shoulder, draping a secure arm around you. “Stay close. We’ll go to my room.”
You nodded and kept your head down as you walked. The deluge of reporters continued to roar and attempt to grab the two of you for quotes, but the boy continued forward, ignoring all.
When the two of you reached the dormitories, he led you to sit on the bed in his room. After checking to see if the door was locked, he sat down next to you.
“Is it okay for me to take your hands?” Izuku asked in the gentlest of voices.
Biting back tears, you nodded.
The green-haired male carefully took both of your hands in his, brushing your knuckles with his thumbs. “What’s going on in that mind of yours?”
As soon as the words left his lips, the tears you were trying to hide came flowing out. Izuku held onto your hands, fighting the desire to wrap you up in his arms.
“It’s alright, I promise you’re safe with me.” He soothed, eyes sympathetic as they intook your current state.
“M’sorry, Izuku…” you whimpered through your sniffles, “I-I don’t mean to bother you.”
“Hey, hey, none of that. When one of my friends needs help, I’ll be there every time, without fail. You’re safe with me, go ahead and cry.”
You leaned to the side, laying across his lap, lamenting all of your fears and trauma that you had bottled up for a while.
Your friend gently ran one hand across your side, and the other through your hair. “It’s okay, let it out, all of it. Good job…”
It felt good to cry in the comfort of Izuku. He wasn’t judging you, he wasn’t annoyed, it was the opposite. He carefully held you until you were finally calmer.
“I think I’m ready to talk about it…” you mumbled, not sitting up from his lap.
“Go for it.” He replied softly, not ceasing his comforting touches.
“Over the weekend, when we went home to visit our families…” you began. “I went to get some eggs at night.”
Izuku’s mind jumped to every possible conclusion, but he didn’t want to jump to them, so he waited for you to continue.
“When I was on the way home, there was this gang outside of the train station. They started to call out to me, but I ignored them. They surrounded me, grabbed my wrist and asked if I had “learned manners”. And said that I shouldn’t ignore them. When I tried to tell them I had to get home, they wouldn’t let me go. They’d just-“
“I think I understand.” The green-haired boy interrupted. “Did they-?”
“No. Luckily Hawks was on patrol and made up some excuse about my homework for a work study. I really owe him one…”
Your friend sighed in relief. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that. People are just horrible, and I wish that it didn’t happen. I promise it isn’t your fault. I’m just really glad you’re safe, and that nothing too terrible happened.”
You smiled for the first time that day, sitting up to face him.
“From now on, I’m going with you everywhere. I don’t care how annoyed you get. I’ll hold you hand every time we walk to classes or gyms. I’ll keep you close anytime we go on a school trip. I’ll sit next to you on public transport, and I will be the most annoyingly clingy person you’ve ever met.”
You giggled and dove forward to hug him.
Izuku placed his head on your shoulder and hugged you back tighter. “I’ve got you. From now on, if anyone wants to get you, they’ll have to go through me.”
“My knight in shining hero costume.” You joked, eliciting a chuckle from both of you.
When the hug broke apart, he took your hand gently. “How are you feeling? Can I do anything for you?”
You laid down on the bed, staring at the glow-in-the-dark star stickers on his ceiling. “You can let me take a nap. Aizawa’s class totally took it out of me.”
Izuku laughed and laid down next to you. “That sounds like a great idea.”
You definitely weren’t planning to spend the afternoon sleeping under the stars, next to your friend, and yet… you couldn’t help but feel completely safe.

HEYOOO
so I read your keigo fics and I really loved them! What do you think about Keigo waking up from a nightmare and he can't find you, so he starts to panic, and when you come back from the toilet (or wherever you were), he immediately latches onto you panicking and crying
Man he is so sweet
Tumblr media
hi anon! ^_^ tysm for your ask, it rlly made me smile hehe. here’s a small drabble as thanks:)
(apologies if its rusty, the only thing i have written as of late is uni essays-)
Tumblr media
keigo gasped for air as though he’d been reborn, feathers pricked out like needles.
he clutched at his shirt like a vice, daring to tear through his skin and stress grip his dying heart. he panted, delirious amidst his fear.
the suns of his eyes bounced across every corner of the room, his free hand scratching away the duvet in search of you. nothing, not even his feathers could sense you, clouded by fright.
what the avian didn’t know was that you hadn’t left him like his father, you’d only gotten to get a glass of water after the drought in your throat had woken you up, not nearly as violently as the way your boyfriend’s body treated him.
what you didn’t know was that your boyfriend was unfurling faster than the might of his wings ever could.
pattering through the hallway of your apartment with a glass and a plenished throat, you gently broke your way into your shared bedroom with a tired hand.
your eyes retreated behind their lids at the light you swore you hadn’t put on, lest you disturb keigo in his sleep.
no, an instinctual feather did so.
you stop, feet planting into the carpet as your brain tries to process the scene in front of you, whirring through its fatigue.
there was keigo, plumage fluffed up in fear, eyes wild and pinned on you, your bedsheets in tatters.
“kei?” words clawed up your throat as you slowly made your way to the bedside table and placed the glass. keigo grabbed your wrist the moment you’d set it down, you managed to get a better look at him.
sunny bedhead and a dark sky lining his eyes, his chest heaved along with the heavy burdens that laced his blood, what was his own that didn’t stain his hands.
no matter how much he scrubbed his skin, keigo would never be clean. it had trickled into his brain, and he couldn’t even escape it in his sleep.
“stay,“ he silently barked, his words scratchy.
keigo’s stress grip on your wrist wouldn’t let up, the avian latched onto you for dear life.
your face fell, eyebrows furrowed as you saw his glassy eyes, glossed over with fear.
“bad dream, baby?” you whispered, slowly raising your wrist to run a hand through keigo’s hair, massaging his scalp with gentle nails.
keigo only choked on a sob, his vulnerabilities racing down his cheeks to their end. if only this would end, he begged to a god he wasn’t sure existed.
you brought your wrist down, eyes trained on the dots of his.
“‘m not going anywhere, baby boy,” you soothed, gentle reassurance hanging in the air until keigo was ready to pluck it down and hold it close to him.
he tried to not, more words contesting in his throat.
keigo looked down at himself, feathers shaking more than his tired body.
“bad..” he gestured to himself.
“you aren’t him, birdie,” your words were soft, sun against his skin. his heart swelled amidst the silent rage of his head.
soon, you felt keigo’s grip starting to soften too.
you grabbed the glass of water with a free hand, using the other to usher strands of gold out of his eyes, tucking them behind his ear as you helped him sip some water.
kissing his forehead, you cooed, “that’s my boy,”
keigo chirped, too frightened to speak. he would only chirp or coo when this regressed into his fear, not that you minded. you knew that his bird qualities were something he was forced to bury, much like other innocents.
but, there wasn’t any blood on keigo’s hands.
the only thing in his hands was the silk of your skin, fingers intertwined as you spoke to him with the song of your voice, an angel he would tell himself he didn’t deserve.
your wings were pure, his stained red. he was born like this, conceived by a monster of a man. so, that must mean that he was born the same.
it took an angel like you to help him realise he had never fallen, it was someone else who had clipped his wings.

a/n: I said I was gonna post like two weeks ago but this draft kept getting longer and longer. it's like half edited but I just need to post something atp. thanks for your patience. I love you all
reblogs and likes appreciated
“Why do you always do this it’s so manipulative.”
You two were in the middle of an argument with your boyfriend. At first it was expressing how each other felt but no one was understanding making it more frustrating. Leading up to you both raising your voices. You hated fighting with him and you felt an upcoming headache.
His loud booming voice was hurting your ears and making you shrink back. Feeling your eyes water you started crying.
All you wanted was to talk about it and not let it get this far. You were sniffling and tears were right down your face.
Mid sentence he interrupted himself, “Here you go again with the tears. Every time we fight here comes the waterworks. Always so sensitive. Why do you always have to be so manipulative.”
The words were dying out of your throat.
What?
He thought you were manipulative because you were emotional. Out of the two of you, you were the most expressive. You were a crybaby and he always teased you.
Books, movies, even a 2 minute youtube video could have you bawling as he laughed at you holding you as you cried. You loved the Notebook it was your favorite movie and you watched it constantly always crying so hard it was as if a loved one died. A fluffy animal on your phone could have you wiping your running mascara off. Someone was mean to you in the store and your eyes would water. It was just who you are as a person since you were a baby. Your own family laughed at you as you waved them off with bloodshot eyes. Katsuki would snicker at your tears and roughly wipe your tears with his thumb. Kiss the top of your head and rubbed it to calm you down. You never thought he had a problem with it. Once at a party a guy in passing called you an ugly bitch and Katsuki had snatched him up as soon as he saw your wobbly lips forcing him to apologize for making you cry.
But he thought you were manipulative for crying?
“You think i’m manipulative?” You said in a small voice.
“Yes! Look at you right now sobbing when we’re in the middle of the fight to make me feel bad.” He barked at you red eyes narrowing.
“I didn’t mean it to be…I just cry easy.” You said unable to look him in the eye, your vision blurred with tears blinking sadly at the floor.
“I get it,” He sighed,” that doesn’t mean you’re not manipulative.”
He was right, “I…i’m sorry i’ll stop.” You said not even remembering what the fight was about.
Katsuki saw how defeated you were looking and all the anger in his chest disappeared. He wanted a fight not for you to be his punching bag.
Both of you stopped the fight and tried to move on so neither one of you went to bed angry. The next couple of days you reminded yourself to keep your emotions in check. You had a terrible day at work, a supervisor yelling at you for a co-worker's mistake and a customer screamed at you not even 20 minutes later over the same mistake. You were crying over the stove, cooking dinner for the both of you. Katsuki came home with a groan and the door shut signaling he was back from work. You quickly wiped your face hearing him enter.
“Baby are you in the kitchen?” He called out
Clearing your throat you answered, “Yea i’m here.”
He wrapped his arms around your waist placing his face in your neck with a kiss.
“What’s wrong?” He said in a gruff voice tired from when work. He could tell from your back something was wrong.
You wiped your face again, “Nothing I was just chopping onions.”
He looked down at the meal and saw no onions but didn’t say anything. “Okay, thanks for cooking.” He said, “I’m getting undressed.” Pressing two hard kisses on your cheek before walking off.
You finished dinner and tried to splash some water on your face to stop the puffiness.
You came back to the table emotions in check and face straight with him across from you. Playing with the food you could feel his eyes on you but you ignored him still feeling how watery your eyes are.
“How was your day?” He said moving seats from across to next to you. Pulling your legs over his with a cheek kiss.
“It was fine how was yours,” you said picking at your food trying to not think about your day. Offering him a small smile.
Fortunately Bakugo was in a talkative mood talking about one of his rough villians today. You nodded along happy that he was the one talking.
He stopped talking to study your face and he frowned, “Are you sure you’re okay? You have this look on your face. You look sad.” He stroked your face with his large finger trying to warm you up. You froze at his reading of you when you promised yourself you would be better, you straightened your back out pulling from him. “No nothings wrong im glad you came back safe.”
He studied your face but let it go. You cleaned up the kitchen as your boyfriend stretched and walked out the kitchen.
Bakugo flopped on the couch arms open for you to crawl into.
“Do you want to watch the notebook it’s been a while since you’ve seen it I know it’s your favorite.” He said trying to cheer you up. You did cry but you always had a small smile on your face for the rest of the night.
"Why are you smiling, weren't you just bawling," Katsuki asked looking down at you with his red eyes as you snuggled into his chest now wet with your tears.
"I dont know...it's sad that she forgets. But love is so beautiful and they have it. He never gave up on her and loved her no matter what. They got to build a life together and grow old and die together." You mumbled looking up at him your chin gently resting on his chest as he rubbed your back.
"I love you." Katsuki said squeezing you extra tight and rolling on top of you making you groan.
"Youre so heavy."
"Shut up."
Your lips pressed together as you tiredly stared at the screen. It was your favorite but it also made you bawl and Katsuki had to hold you as you calmed down.
“No I’ll watch by myself later I know you don’t like it.” You said moving the cursor to a different genre, more his speed.
There was definitely something wrong, Katsuki thought.
You never said no to The Notebook and you would always cry to him about how he better spend his days with you when you’re both old even if one of can't remember. You switched to an Allmight movie he loves and laid back down cuddling him. As emotional as you were you were also very observant. Knowing what ways to distract your boyfriend and fake a poker face. It had just been a while and you were easing back into it.
Bakugo with his arms smothering you with his large biceps telling you facts about Allmight that made you smile as the movie rolled.
“See right there, in the corner that’s the same design i had in my room for my action figure.”
“I had this one poster when I was a kid that was made from this scene.”
You nodded along humming to let him know you were still listening.
No one else got to see him be so dorky about his hero except you and it warmed your heart. Eventually you dragged him to bed and held him close as you both fell asleep. The next couple weeks it was unnatural to you. Burying your emotions down in an exhausting time. It was hard but you would do anything for your relationship. Bakugo had taken notice at you not expressing emotions with him and it freaked him out but he was unable to say how. You could cry up to 3 times a day just crying or complaining to him going to him for comfort. Now you would just stare off into space in your own world around him. The only time he did hear you cry was on accident. He had woke up to clamor out of bed to go pee and hop back into bed. As Bakugo returned he noticed you weren’t there at 3am. Before he thought to panic he walked out to the living room to see your guest bathroom light on. The door was closed but he could hear you crying your eyes out.
He knocked on the door, fully awake to your noises now and ready to cuddle you until you felt better.
“Baby what’s going on?” He said in a gruff voice with sleep still mixed in.
You froze from the bathroom floor at your boyfriends voice.
You quickly wiped your tears and swung open the door, “A nightmare I didn’t want to wake you.” You said with the saddest eyes too tired to try and put on a neutral face.
Work was getting to you, badly. And you had no one to talk to anymore. So you ended up sneaking out of bed to cry on the other side of the house to not wake him.
He rubbed your arms up and down pushing you into him. “Cmere baby.” He said kissing your head.
You leaned into him for a minute before remembering.
“I’m..okay now.” You said weakly, moving away from him and walking to the bedroom.
Katsuki frowned and grabbed your hand to pull you to turn.
“Yes?” You asked
“What’s wrong?” He said trying to get you to talk to him.
“…I’m fine I’m just dramatic.” You said, “A nightmare let’s go to bed.”
He sighed not believing you but following you back to bed extremely tired from patrol.
He trapped you in his arms so you wouldn’t escape him again and both of you drifted off to sleep. Katsuki became buried in work for the next couple days and you missed your boyfriend. It was like you were falling into a deeper and deeper hole as time went on with no escape. Even if you couldn’t express your emotions around him anymore didn’t mean you didn’t love him any less. You decided to stop by the agency after a really hard shift just to see his face hoping it would make you feel better. Walking through the lobby to his receptionist only to be told he was pulled away for an emergency.
Feeling your eyes burn you blinked back tears of frustration.
Katsuki’s receptionist was scrolling on her computer trying to figure out when he would be back for you and you felt a hand tap your shoulder. You turned and Izuku was smiling down at you. One of your good friends since Katsuki introduced the both of you.
“Hey y/n how are you?” He said with a warm smile.
“Izu! I missed you,” You said avoiding his question and giving him a hug.
He happily accepted hugging you back. “I know you’re here for Kacchan but he’s on an emergency right now, but you can always come back to my office and wait for him. We can catch up?” He said. He noticed how fidgety you were at the receptionist’s desk knowing something was wrong.
“Thanks that’s really sweet of you.” You said taking his offer and walking with him to his office.
Izuku and you talked about his girlfriend he had just started to date and how it was going as you sat next to him on the couch he crashed on during late nights.
“It’s going really good I can’t believe she said yes to me, still.” He admitted rubbing the back of his neck with a blush dusting his cheeks at the thought of his girlfriend.
You couldn’t help but smile at how cute it was, Izuku being so bashful about the girl he was starting to fall for.
“Izuku she said yes because you’re a great guy and from what I’m hearing you’re a good boyfriend so stop thinking like that. You two like each other and that’s all that matters.” You reassured your friend already knowing all those doubts were swirling in his mind.
He let out a sigh of relief, “You always know what to say to make me feel better.”
“What are friends for,” You shrugged
Izuku studied for a moment before speaking, “What’s wrong y/n.”
Eyebrows furrowing you were confused, “What do you mean?”
“I saw you at the desk, and I know you better than most. There’s something wrong, and if you want to discuss it with Kacchan i’ll respect that. But know that i’m also here for you.” He said gently putting a hand on your shoulder.
You pressed your lips together trying to stop your chin from wobbling but the tears started to fall against your will.
Damn it
You were doing so well
Stop crying it’s stupid
“It’s that obvious huh,” You said with a cracking voice.
Izuku brought his hand from your shoulder to around both pulling you into his chest as you cried, shaking.
You pulled away after a minute or two wiping your face. “I’m sorry, I’ve been doing so good I thought I had it under control but it’s just…so hard.” Mumbling but Izuku caught every word.
“What’s wrong what are you talking about.” Izuku said gently
“I…if I tell you can you not tell him please?”
Izuku nodded, “It’ll be just us I promise.”
You rubbed your face in your hands letting tears run before taking one solid breath.
“We got in a fight a couple weeks ago. And I was crying while we were…yelling. Kats said I was manipulative with my emotions and crying. I said I would work on it and I was sorry I didn’t know my crying and emotions had that effect on him, and it’s been…s-so hard. Everything in my life is terrible right now, my job, my family and I can’t even talk to him anymore. It’s been so difficult keeping my emotions in check around him. I can’t talk to him or be expressive; be myself around him but I know it’s the only way the relationship will work. I never, ever wanted him to feel like I was manipulating him. I just feel so guilty about it.” Tears stream down your face, “I’ll get over it soon though, it’s a hard transition.”
Izuku watching your body look so hopeless and small as you cried he felt terrible.
Izuku had seen you and Katsuki together and understood the dynamic. Katsuki was known for having a tough exterior and any emotion other than anger was difficult for him. You on the other hand were very emotional. Izuku thought you two were a good match balancing each other, but as of recently, that wasn’t the case.
“I’m…i’m so sorry y/n. But you know he loves you, maybe if you talk to him about how you’re feeling.” He suggested.
You shook your head, “He has enough problems without that. It doesn’t matter how I feel. And he already told me how he feels about the situation, there would be no point…I just need to adjust no matter how hard it is.” You felt your phone buzz underneath you and it was your boyfriend letting you know he was back in the office from an emergency.
His receptionist obviously calling him that you were here when you had left her desk.
You wiped your face again, “He’s back I gotta go.”
Izuku nodded unsure of what to say and walked you out of his office.
You hugged him and he hugged right back feeling worried
“I’m sorry I’m talking about my problems. You’re a good friend.” You pulled away and Izuku wiped a tear falling down your cheek. “Anytime okay? Know that i’m here for you, even when you want to cry your eyes out on my couch.” He lightly joked
A tiny laugh escape you, “Bring your girlfriend over soon for dinner! I would love to meet the girl you’re falling for.” You said and he nodded.
Watching you walk away Izuku could feel nothing but worry and sadness for you. Your entire aura was sad and tired.
Katsuki was stretching in the locker room of the agency with Kirishima walking in the door surprised to see him here.
“What are you doing here man? I thought you’d be with y/n.”
Katsuki frowned at his words, “What do you mean?”
“I just saw her crying with Izuku in front of his office. Thought she would go over to you?” Kirishima innocently said confused.
Katsuki immediately got up and left to find you. He texted he was back but he thought you would be in his office.
Why were you crying?
Why were you with Izuku?
Not even knocking on the door he swung open Izuku’s door to find you scaring his green-haired friend.
“Where is she?” He said with a scowl and angry red eyes.
Izuku recovering from his door almost ripped off the hinges blinked at him, “She went to go find you after you texted her”
“She was crying? Why?” He said seething at the thought of you upset
“Um…I don’t know.” Izuku said keeping his word to not tell Katsuki.
“Useless fuck.” Katsuki grumbled slamming the door behind him to go find you
He called you and you picked up on the second ring, “Where are you?”
“I’m in your office stealing your snacks.” You said causally on the phone and it confused him.
Weren’t you crying?
" Okay, I’ll be there soon.”
He walked into his office and you were sprawled out on a chair on your phone.
In the time you took to go to the office, you forced yourself to calm down, wiped your running makeup, and became ready to see your boyfriend
He leaned down kissing your head lifting you from the seat. To have you sit on his lap as he held you.
“How was the emergency?” You said.
“Dumbass villians but I took them down.” He said.
“You’re not hurt are you?”
“No im not babydoll.” He said gruffly. Katsuki trying to bring up you crying but not knowing how.
Why were you crying to Izuku but fine with him?
“Good, I missed you. Thanks for the hug.” You said giving him a kiss ready to move off his lap but he moved his big arm around you keeping you in place.
“What’s wrong?” He said studying your face
“What do you mean?” You said confused
“You were crying earlier Kirishima saw you.” He said his red eyes going back and forth with your own.
“Oh…it was stupid it doesn’t matter.”
“But i want to know,” He insisted
You felt your heart squeeze, you couldn’t tell him you were sobbing to Izuku because of him and how unhappy you were. “A rude client today at work,” You said with a sad smile.
Katsuki could tell you were lying but didn’t say anything.
“Okay I gotta go to the store and pick up for dinner. Do you want anything?” You wanted to leave.
He sighed, “No and it’s my turn for dinner remember.”
You moved to get up again and he trapped you in his arms.
He began kissing up your neck and face, “I love you, you know that? You can talk to me.” He said seriously trying to pry whatever was bothering you out of your tight grasp, to let him in.
You brought both your hands up to his pale face and kissed him, “I love you more.”
You had to, to be destroying little pieces of yourself for him.
After dinner, you climbed into bed with him next to you. He was reading a book with his reading glasses when your phone was buzzing from an incoming phone call. You picked up the call to your sister crying her eyes out making you alert.
“What’s wrong?” You asked worried trying to comfort her
“Luna is dead, she died in her sleep but she’s dead.” Your sister sobbed and you felt your heart drop.
The childhood pet you’ve had since you were 5 was dead.
She was your favorite thing in the world.
“What…” You whispered feeling the pit in your stomach widen.
“I know she’s old but I thought we had more time.” Your sister cried.
Feeling stuck, like all the energy in your body was gone you hung up the phone.
Bakugo at this point heard screaming on the phone and put down his book to see you staring off into space with a drained expression on your face.
“Y/n.” He said softly touching your arm.
Humming a small noise to let him know you acknowledged him.
“Y/n what’s going on baby?” He said rubbing your back.
You forced back the tears in your eyes, “My childhood dog died.” You said in the most monotone voice.
“What? Jesus i’m sorry.” He said sitting up to try and hold you. But you were stiff and leaning away from him, “I have to use the bathroom.”
You locked yourself in the bathroom and quietly cried. After 20 minutes Bakugo got up and gently knocked on the door.
“Baby come on. Please come out. I can hold you like you love.” Bakugo said in an almost begging tone.
It had been little things he had observed of you being less emotional but he never thought it was this bad. You couldn’t even cry in front of him or let him hold you? Even when it was this bad? You were shaking on the floor in a ball crying,
“I’m fine please…just go away.”
You wanted, no needed, to just cry. Not feeling guilty about how that affected him. Bakugo reluctantly left and you slept on the floor of the bathroom that night only wanting to be with your baby who you would never see again. Bakugo barely slept just watching the bathroom door and realizing how badly he had fucked up. Around 7am when his alarm went off you woke up to crusted eyes on the floor.
You finally crawled your way out of the bathroom to your boyfriend walking in with a coffee in his hand. Not even having the energy to stand.
Your order from Starbucks in his hand. His hand engulfing the large cup.
“Y/n- oh you’re out of the bathroom.” He placed the cup on your nightstand and pulled you to your feet. He gently put his hand on the back of your head to hug you. Leaning into him before pulling away. You fell back into bed throwing a cover over your head.
“I got you your drink.” He said slowly rubbing your back and you let out a small groan.
He hated Starbucks but went to for you to make you feel better. Loathed it as he had told you many times complaining whenever you made him go. Hated the lines, your fancy drink order, and the number of people but he went for you.
“I…i have to go to work but i’m coming to check on you at lunch okay? Breakfast is on the counter and I already called your work that you wouldn’t be coming in.” He said.
One thing about Katsuki is he was great at acts of service. He pulled back the blanket to see your face. Broken expression and a blank sad stare in your eyes focused on the wall. Katsuki stroked your hair and gave you a kiss. “I love you okay? Try to get out of bed today for me.”
You shut your eyes at his words, just waiting for him to leave.
He sighed and left the apartment.
You slept most of the day not wanting to be up. Wanting to wither away into nothingness, never to be bothered again. Letting sadness that at most times was a small wave at your feet turned into a deep dark hole where you struggled to not drown.
Katsuki came in to work in a sour mood that everyone could tell to steer far from him. That is except his best friend who was so used to his moods. Izuku saw that Katsuki wasn’t angry even if that what appeared. He was frustrated and he looked worried. Izuku knew he only sported this look when it came to you.The only person Katsuki cared about more than anything.
As the briefing for the next big mission came to a close Izuku caught up to the foul mouthed blond.
“Hey Kacchan.” He said expecting a frown at his greeting
Katsuki was in his head so busy thinking about you, he didn’t even manage to turn down his lips at Izuku.
Only focusing on what he could do to help you.
He had noticed the change in your behavior in the recent weeks and it concerned him. Now dealing with death he was worried for you. You weren’t in the best place mentally and seeing you so drained this morning not even able to walk to bed was scaring him.
“What is it.” He sniped at Izuku as they walked down the glass hallway.
“How are you? How’s y/n. I talked to her a couple days ago and just wanted to check in.” Izuku said trying to set up an open discussion for Katsuki to help him talk about his problems. To help you.
Katsuki scowled at Izuku’s mention of you remembering that you cried to him.
Him
Izuku
But you locked yourself in the bathroom these days and pulled away from his hugs when he tried to comfort you. He walked into his office knowing Izuku was following him and sat at his desk, sucking his teeth. Izuku sat down across from him waiting.
“She’s shutting down on me. She won’t talk to me or let me comfort her. I don’t know what I did.” Bakugo admitted
“What happened?” Izuku asked
“I don’t know you tell me. She was crying to you last week. What the hell was that.” Katsuki almost barked at Izuku
“She felt bad and needed to cry. So I let her. She just needed someone to be there for her. I didn’t do anything.” Izuku said carefully not wanting to give away what you had begged him to not say.
“When did she start to pull away?” Izuku said trying to make Katsuki see the connection of his words and your actions.
Katsuki pressed his thumb and finger in between his eyebrows trying to focus on when the change started.
“I get it,” He sighed,” that doesn’t mean you’re not manipulative.”
“I…i’m sorry i’ll stop.” You said
Bakugo froze at the memory. Oh god what had he done.
“We had a fight. And I told her… I told her she was manipulative for crying. And she said she would stop” He said feeling his heart drop into his stomach.
Winning that one fight had caused this much damage? Bakugo felt his stomach twisting.
Izuku sighed, “She doesn’t feel comfortable with you anymore.”
Bakugo let out a shaky breath at his words. “Get the fuck out.” He said bitterly and Izuku got up and left without a word.
Bakugo picked up the phone filling his eyes sting.
Come on baby pick up
Please
Reaching your voicemail, Bakugo looked up at the ceiling shaking his head.
You stopped. Stop crying. Stop talking to him.
Stop coming to him.
Bakugo wanted nothing but to be there for you, protect, love and cherish you.
And he had pushed you away. He knew how sensitive you were and how everyone diminished your feelings constantly since you were a child. And he called you manipulative making you recoil.
He felt sick at the thought of you needing him and he wasn’t there for you.
Leaving you.
It was his fault.
He looked at the clock and saw it was lunchtime. Bakugo rushing to the apartment as he had promised earlier. Seeing the untouched breakfast sitting on the counter. You were sleeping, taking a nap, exhausted from crying so hard.
Gently shaking you awake he saw you open your puffy bloodshot eyes.
“Y/n. Baby.” He said softly.
You blinked at him tired. Your boyfriend was home.
“Can you sit up for me.” Katsuki asked
You shook your head pounding from a headache. You were dehydrated from crying.
Katsuki sighed.
He walked out of your eyeline and you closed your eyes. Katsuki coming only to check on you. He was leaving.
When you felt a weight on the other side of the mattress and Katsuki wrapping his arms around you engulfing your body with his.
You didn’t move just taking shaky breaths.
Katuski feeling how you trembled in his hold.
“You don’t have to do this. I’m fine.” You said in a shaky voice staring at the wall. Squeezing your eyes shut hoping he would just go away.
You felt guilt swimming in your stomach at him holding you.
You promised yourself you would work on your emotions.
“I know.” He said behind you but not moving snuggling closer to you holding you in his arms.
You began to hyperventilate at his touch.
“Please. Stop. We agreed…I would work on this.” You said beginning to breakdown unable to stop. Tears streaming and shaky breaths racking your body as your boyfriend held you ignoring your words.
He knew you better than anyone. These walls you were putting up were no match for him and how much he loved you.
Katsuki gently turned your body to face him and held the back of your head to his chest. You sobbed into his chest until you tired yourself out
You woke up to Katsuki stroking your head holding you in bed as the tv played on a low volume.
Stiffening in his hold you pulled yourself away from him.
“I..I’m sorry it won’t happen again," You said realizing what you had done, "I meant what I said. I’m working on it.”
He looked at you, confusion flashing over his features before sadness.
“Baby…you don’t have to. I don’t mind-. You can come to me you know that right.” Bakugo said struggling to find the words at your fragile state.
You shook your head feeling tears coming but forcing them down. “No…no, I can’t. I don’t want to manipulate you even if I don’t mean to.”
“You’re not.” He said heartbroken at your shaking form. Seeing you punish yourself with your thoughts of coming to him was hurting him. He slowly tried to reach out his hand and you almost flinched.
“I am and I…I can’t lose you. If that means I can’t come to you anymore I’ll do it. I never wanted to hurt you and I have. And I keep making mistakes but I can’t do that with you, with us. I can’t lose you too. I slipped up. I promise I’ll do better.” You said holding yourself from him
Bakugo watching you destroy yourself because of him. In shock at your words.
He grabbed you before you could protest hugging you into him.
And words he rarely said left his lips.
“I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.”
“What did I do?” He whispered into your scalp as you shook and hyperventilated.
“I'm not leaving you, and I was mad when I said it. I love you I’m not going to leave you if you act emotional. You can cry to me forever if you want. I love you no matter what and I need you to come to me when you feel bad.” He said, feeling like the worst partner in the world.
“You don’t think I’m manipulative, you’re not going to leave.” You said with wobbly lips and the saddest eyes he had ever seen.
As if he could ever leave you.
“No baby, I'm not leaving. I can’t. I need you.”
That broke the damn and you cried even harder as he held you closer rubbing your back.
“I missed you.” You said in between shaky breaths into his chest.
“I'm sorry baby. I'm here now.”

You don't even remember what the fight was about.
The quiet rushing of cooled air and the machinery of the train helped to lull the negative thoughts away, the bright lights hitting your face every time you passed a station.
All you remember was...
"You can't live here anymore! I can't put up with this any longer!"
Your mother... She and you didn't get along too well. She was too distant for you, and you could never seem to get along, despite the numerous efforts made by both parties.
Constant fights were normal. Not talking for long periods of time was normal. But you knew you both were wearing thin. That's why you jumped at the chance when she said she'd be sending you to live with your father instead, with hopes that it'd turn out better than the current way it was with her.
You hardly knew the man. You'd seen a few photos, spoke on the phone a few times. That was all you had.
Was it a risk? To jump so fast to live with what was practically a stranger? Very much so. But you'd take it, anything to get away from the constant arguments.
The intercom crackled to life, calling your station. With a sigh you rose, awkwardly lugging your single suitcase and heaving your backpack onto your shoulder.
The night was sparkling with life. You had never been over to Musutafu, having lived in the more rural parts of Japan your whole life. Back there, people would shut off lights and be in bed by 9 or 10 if they weren't working. You rarely saw anyone out past that.
So to see such a large city, bustling with so much life despite the dark... It was mesmerizing.
You lugged yourself to a less crowded part of the station, pulling out an address shakily scribbled on a piece of paper - despite owning a functioning phone. Reading it to yourself once more as if you didn't already have it memorized, you folded it and put it back in your coat pocket. This was it. You were in the city, now all you had to do was find the place.
As you walked up the steps and out in fresh air, you suddenly felt like a child again. No home, no support, all by your lonesome. Stuck and helpless...
You clenched your fist. You got this far, you couldn't go back. It had a chance of working out.
With that thought, you found a taxi (despite how expensive it was) and rode out to the apartment complex. The cab was cool and quiet, reminding you of the train you took to get there.
Once there, you stood out on the sidewalk, holding up a picture you had to compare to the building. You felt your heart beat faster, the blood in your body warming and filling you with adrenaline.
This was it.
The very building you had heard of but never visited, the place that housed a person you had never officially met in person...
All you had to do was go up and...
And-
You mentally slapped yourself. You hadn't even bothered to call! You didn't even send a note or something! You had simply up and left in the moment!
Panic flared in your chest as your surroundings began to spin. You hadn't even let him know you were coming. What if he didn't want anything to do with you?! What would he do? Throw you out?!
Inhaling deeply and exhaling similarly, you attempted to calm yourself. Worst case scenario, he could give you some money to travel back, and you could just grovel for your mother to give you a place to live.
A shudder passed through you. You'd rather it not come to that, but you couldn't exactly be too picky. You were currently homeless, after all.
What else was there to do, besides dragging you and your suitcase up the steps to the building, and then even further until you were on the third floor of the apartment, until you were standing in front of his door. Finally, you held up your hand to knock.
Nothing.
You knocked once more.
Nothing again.
You waited about five minutes before trying again. Then ten minutes before knocking once more. Then again.
Finally, once thirty minutes passed by, you began to panic once more.
'No, no... What if he's... Out getting groceries or something?'
The thought wasn't the brightest, but it was something. That's at least what you told yourself. Finally, after an hour of waiting, you slowly trotted down the steps, nowhere to go. The people passing by reminded you that they had places to be, while you didn't. It felt suffocating.
Before you reached the bottom, an older man who was watering some plants noticed you. Looking over at him, you saw he had greying hair and was wearing a cardigan, along with a bandana placed oddly low on his head, close to his eyes.
Approaching him, he gave a little wave. "We don't usually see that many this late at night," he joked, as if he had known you for a long while.
"Ah, about that..." You suddenly felt a rising acknowledgement about your situation, feeling oddly embarrassed at your impulsive actions. "I'm here to see my father, but he doesn't seem to be home at the moment"
The man looked over without saying anything, smiling tiredly while he watered the plants, only making you feel even more awkward than before as you debated whether you should stay or not.
"Sorry if I seem suspicious, but we get that a lot from nosy intruders trying to bother our residents here - especially since we house a few heroes." The man let out a little chuckle as if he hadn't just said he suspected you of lying. Although, you could understand his sentiment.
"You said 'our residents', are you the owner here?" You asked, not expecting this man of all people to be someone responsible for the entire building.
"That I am" He responded kindly.
You stood bewildered. The owner! Maybe he could help you... You just had to get some proof. Quickly, you scrambled to pop open your backpack, looking for a certain photo book. You didn't have any photos with your father past birth, but you did have a photo of him holding you as a baby. Just one.
The man stood to the side, tiredly watering the plants with an old hose, a stark contrast to the panicked movements of you right next to him.
Finding the photo and pulling it out, you showed the man. It was a photo of your father holding you just as you were born, with his sole focus on you instead of the camera. He was much younger back then, and you didn't know what he would look like in current times.
The man looked over the photo once before shrugging his shoulders.
"I believe you, I already did from the beginning. Cute photo though."
You stood there with the photo still in your hand. What was with this guy?!
"Your father is Shota? Is that right?" He looked over at you with an expression of interest compared to the tired smile he wore earlier. "He never said anything about having a kid."
You nodded, "We don't really talk that much... Do you know where he is by the way?"
The man stopped looking at the water flowing out of the hose and went to look up at the stars instead, moving one hand to his pocket and exhaling a heavy breath.
"You won't find him here right now, unfortunately"
"Why? Is he busy?"
The man shrugged once again, slow as molasses, though clearly smarter than he was letting on.
"You could say that"
Talking to him was a struggle, really. He only let out answers to questions explicitly asked, and you felt as though you weren't getting anywhere.
"Can you please explain?"
He chuckled at your exasperated tone, finally giving a suitable explanation.
"He's almost never around. He works at night. Probably sleeps for a bit, then he works during the day. Sometimes I don't see him for days at a time just because he sleeps elsewhere," He sighed once more, looking back at the plants in the little garden. "He needs to take better care of himself, that Shouta.. "
You couldn't believe it. Days at a time? You didn't have days, besides what if you couldn't catch him during the small amount of time he was actually there?
Another thought dawned on you. If he was so busy all the time, would he even have time for you? You stood quietly, pondering what you would do.
"Maybe try waiting by his door for a bit? Tomorrow's a weekday, so he'd have to show up to get ready to go to his day job"
You could only nod sullenly and take the man's advice. He gave you a few snacks to keep yourself busy while you walked back up the stairs, eventually planting yourself in front of his door to wait it out.
The view from the third floor wasn't so bad at least. You could see the lights of the lower buildings twinkling in the back, and since the area was quieter than the rest of the town, you felt as though you could think a little clearer.
After a couple hours, the landlord from before came back with a blanket and more snacks (which you just packaged to save for later), and soon enough you were out like a light.
-
A soft nudge to your side caused you to groan, and the sharper one that followed it caused your eyes to fly open, rubbing the tender area on your ribs. Looking up to see who caused it, your eyes widened as you saw exactly who you were looking for.
"Mind explaining why you're sleeping in front of my door? I'd also like to know why you're here, on the opposite side of Japan, as well."
Giving him a once over, you didn't expect your father to look so... Worn down. Raggedy, you'd call it. His hair was unkempt and fell in front of his face, and his eyes held dark bags underneath them, the eyes themselves being red and irritated. In addition, he was still wearing his hero outfit from patrol, with him just wanting to head in, get a few minutes of rest, then clean up before heading to UA. You tried to ignore the small spatter of red on his scarf.
"I..." Quickly standing up, you brushed yourself off and tried to make yourself look as presentable as possible (at least for someone who just woke up from sleeping outside all night).
Clearing your throat, you tried explaining yourself, "I... I'm sorry for the sudden request but..."
He looked at you with an eyebrow raised.
"I was wondering if I could live with you?"
Getting it all out at once was what your decided was the best you could do. At least it'd get rejection out of the way.
He wiped his eyes, the irritation of dry eye making him want to be inside even further. He was covered with grime from patrol, hadn't eaten all night (wondering if you didn't either), and was exhausted.
"Look... There's a lot going on right now, but you can just come inside with me so we can discuss it there," he explained, fishing out his keys before opening the door and letting you in first.
The place was rather empty. Clean, but empty. It was small too. You started questioning yourself once more at the sight. The walls were bare, the furniture being the bare essentials (like a couch and a table with a chair), and it definitely showed he wasn't there a whole lot.
"Sit wherever you'd like. I'm going to get changed and then we can work something out."
You sat on the couch due to it being closest, fearing he'd send you back sooner if he thought of you as a nuisance.
Truth be told, Aizawa was feeling as though he was hallucinating. Coming home exhausted from work and seeing his daughter sleeping outside of his door made him think he had really lost it. His daughter, that he had never seen in person other than photos every now and then, and who was supposed to live across Japan.
He didn't know what to do for once. He couldn't send you back, that'd be cruel. He knew you and your mother didn't get along, but that was all he knew. He didn't think it'd get this bad, though.
He could understand your perspective, at least. He himself didn't have the best relationship with his own mother, having moved out when he barely turned eighteen and having to survive off of cup noodles and a single lightbulb for months on end. He didn't want you to go through the same struggles.
Still, he didn't know if he had the time. The last thing Aizawa wanted to do was to ignore you and your needs.
Wrapping his scarf up and tossing it on his bed (instead of the special rack on the wall that it was intended for), he decided he'd have to make changes to his schedule then, so he could take care of you without being too busy.
Back in the living room, you clutched your backpack to your chest, fearing where this would take you.
Once Aizawa stepped into the room, you immediately put your attention on him, ready to beg for a place to stay. You noticed he changed into something more casual, being just a long sleeve shirt and joggers, with his hair tied up.
He stood in front of you with his hands in his pockets, giving you a once over. He could see the way you tensed up. The way you were ready for a yelling match. He'd definitely not be sending you back.
Instead, Aizawa surprised you by holding his arms open. Sensing your confusion, he directed you.
"I haven't seen my daughter since she was born, you couldn't at least give me a hug?"
He almost chuckled at the sight of your eyes getting wider, wrapping his arms around you when you came up to him. He wasn't the most outwardly affectionate man, but his colleagues and students were making him softer by the day.
You stayed in place for a solid minute, enjoying the warmth which helped to ease your tension that had been built up all night long.
"You can stay with me, but since you failed to communicate this to me earlier I'm going to need time to prepare"
You nodded, smiling as fatigue overtook you once more.
"Does this mean I'm living with you now?"
Aizawa smiled softly. "It does." Looking out of the barely rising sun in the window, he breathed out of his nose. If only he had more time to discuss and get things ready.
Ever since you were small, he cherished every photo and phone call sent his way. He looked forward to it, your voice or smiling face being the only thing keeping him going some nights. So to have you in person, he was elated. Frustrated with the lack of communication, yes, but overall it wasn't the worst thing that could've happened.
Seeing your eyes closing on you once more, he frowned. It wouldn't hurt to take a day off work.
"C'mon, let's get you into a pair of pajamas or something so you can sleep properly," looking over to you tiredly rummaging through your suitcase, he remembered his earlier thought. "Let's also get some food in you as well"
As you brushed your teeth while the sun began to rise, Aizawa pulled out a plate to prepare some food. Out of habit he pulled only the one. Reopening the cabinet, he brought out another. Looking at the two dishes, he smiled. It was nice not being alone for once. If you weren't there, he'd have slept with his hero outfit on, popped a jelly packet, and then headed off to work at UA.
Maybe taking care of you would also teach him to learn how to take care of himself.
Seeing you walk in the kitchen in your sleepwear and toothbrush still in your mouth, Aizawa's look softened.
It definitely wouldn't hurt to call off work today.
