Hi, could you please write a headcanon for a Mc who is the daughter of Thor from Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow and the dorm leaders reaction to this. If it is possible thank you.

OMG!!!! The Next Avengers isn’t known a lot and I didn’t expect to receive a request from it. I suggest checking out their comics too. I enjoyed both the movie and comics but I am based and it made a major ship of mine canon. I’ll leave their comics look under the cut.

I’ll refer MC as Torunn for this request. It’s been over 6 years that I watched this so I might have forgotten her characteristics.

Riddle Rosehearts

Riddle thought Torunn was only a trouble maker who loves to brawl which encourages Ace and Deuce more. He cannot allow that so he tries to talk with Torunn to adapt more appropriate manners.

He sees that his talk backfires when she comes with her giant sword to Heartslabyul. Riddle starts “Queen of Hearts Rule #666 says that you cannot use a sword bigger than -” but he is interrupted by her. HE is furious as it is also against the rules “I’m not using it, I’m just holding it. If I used it” she summons lightning which freaks him out “it would be Mjölnir”

Riddle thinks of adding a few new rules to Heartslabyul such as “No lightning summoning in Heartlabyul” and “No Mjölnir in the dorm” just for Torunn. He doesn’t like how she got around the rules, accidentally asking it out and embarrassing himself and unfortunately Torunn heard it, answering his stupid question.

Leona Kingscholar

When Leona first saw Torunn at the entrance ceremony, he thought she is a twink. His opinion on her changes when she plays Magift with her friends against Savanclaw.

If he didn’t have a plan in motion, he would have asked Torunn to transfer to Savanaclaw to play in his team against Diasomnia. He thinks she would have countered the Lizard and Savanaclaw would have won.

Even after the whole Magift tournament, he makes Ruggie ask her to join Magift club. She may not be a player but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t be useful to train against as a practice for the next year’s Magift. He even encourages her to use her full powers to learn how to counter lightning when fighting against the Lizard in Magift.

Azul Ashengrotto

Azul didn’t think much of Torunn until she became a torn at his side. He thought he can trick her into a contract easily but some unforeseeable events happened. First she cares about her friends more than he predicted and second, she is a deity. He learns about the later when she puts her fist fast on the coffee table which breaks while all the electricity in Monstro Lounge goes out, yet Torunn’s eyes are glowing and small lightnings appear on her arms.

He may want the deed of Ramshackle dorm but he knows it is not wise to piss off a deity who can manipulate the electricity, is super powerful and probably has lightning powers. He releases her friends from his servitude and tries to find new ways to get deed of Ramshackle.

After the overblot incident, there is no bad blood between them and he thinks Torunn as close associate. He hires her to generate enough energy for Mostro Lounge to use every few days. The amount he pays to Torunn is far less than his electricity bill. He even thinks of hiring her for Octavinelle’s whole energy need.

Kalim Al-Asim

Kalim is ever the friendly person. When he first meets Torunn, he invites her to the feast. When Torunn says his feast reminds him of the feasts of Asgard with plenty of food and people, he says “I don’t know what you mean but thank you.” She then adds that she has never seen that feast while she struggled with her made-up family in the world Ultron ruled.

When her words register with Kalim, it touches his heart. He says he didn’t mean to upset her and apologizes. He asks the reason behind it and sheds tears when he hears her story. He promises to be her friend as long as she is in Twisted Wonderland.

To disperse the sad aura, Kalim offers to ride with flying carpet. Torunn accepts and they fly together. When they reached the peak, Torunn jumps, giving Kalim a heart attack but then she starts flying. They return to Scarabia dorm while flying together. He asks if she can fly them together because he wonders what it is like to fly without any object.

Vil Schönheit

Vil is never going to admit but he is jealous about Torunn’s skin and hair. She has flawless skin and perfect hair even though he has never seen nor heard that she puts a lot of work on herself.

He wonders her secret and bluntly asks her self-care routine and what she uses for her skin and hair.

When Vil doesn’t get actual, he is annoyed, thinking that she is making fun of him. Then Torunn says “Probably because I’m Asgardian, Midgardians refer us as gods.” casually. Well, at least being a God which Vil can accept as an excuse is a better explanation than Neige’s “I’m not doing anything”

Idia Shroud

It is weird for Idia as his family are the ones that referred as Gods and his uncle is the thunder God.

When he learns she is the daughter of the thunder god, he thinks they can be cousins from parallel universe. He is relieved that is not the case when she tells him about her family and Asgard.

A plan formulates in Idia’s mind when it clicks that Torunn would be as powerful as Olympian ones. He asks if she can fight wrestle with his annoying cousin in RSA. He would film the entire thing and watch whenever he wants a laugh.

Malleus Draconia

When Malleus saw her for the first time, he thought her sword was just a regular sword but bigger than the one Sebek and Silver use.

He is in one of his nightly walks when he spots Torunn rise to the sky, lightning surrounding her, not harming her. He is curious about her, she was supposed to be magicless then how she can do these. As far as he knew, humans cannot fly.

Malleus asks how she was able to fly and evaded the lightning. She tells that she is the daughter of Thor the thunder God and has inherited his powers. She demonstrates her skills with her sword, summoning lightning with it. He is amazed by her skills and happy that he wouldn’t hurt her if he accidentally summons lightning when he is moody.

Malleus also thinks about a new nickname for Torunn as “Child of Man” wouldn’t fit her. Maybe “Child of Asgard” or “Child of God” would be better. He needs some time to think about it.

Meeting Din Djarin When He Goes to Earth - Headcanons

The way he and Grogu ended up on Earth is when he went to help Cara

They found the weapon the Empire had built, some kind of weird machine, Din wasn’t sure what it can do. But when the weapon was turned against Grogu, he acted quickly getting in front of the Kid.

The next thing he knew, he woke up on a planet he wasn’t familiar with. Only to add to his confusion, he couldn’t see droids, creatures of all kinds, they were all humans.

Humans looked at him with a weird expression whenever he asked a question about the Galaxy.

Din felt lost.

He couldn’t purchase a ship to fly off with. Everyone laughed at him whenever he asked about pointing him to something called, Nasa. But he was sure that wasn’t what he was looking for.

He couldn’t find a way to get back.

He saw the vehicles they used. Four-wheeled machines. To him, they were primitive machines.

The way he met you was when he decided to visit a book store to get to know more about the planet he was one and find a way to get out. You were purchasing a book for a friend of yours and he was the person standing before you. You thought his costume was cool. You never saw anything similar. But the weird robot by his side looked more realistic than it should have for a toy. Especially when it seemed to react to your and reached out.

“I’m sorry, Sir. But I cannot accept your payment. We don’t take such money here, please go to the change booth so they can exchange your current money. Or I can take your card.” Din was more confused than as a child when he was rescued.

He had a helmet on, but the confusion was clear for you, so you decided to help him.

“I’ll pay for him.” you said and since he only had one book, you had no issues.

“So, you are interested in history, are you a teacher or something?”

“No. I’m a bounty hunter who was quested to return this child to his kind.”

“Ooookay.” you started to slowly back away from him, he was a freak for sure.

“Thank you very much for your help, here take my coins.” he said handing you two coins.

“Are you a foreigner?” you thought maybe he just came from a faraway country.

“Something like that.”

“And why are you dressed like this?”

“I am a Mandalorian, we all dress like this.”

“So there are more people like you. Is it a cult or something?” you didn’t know why you kept on asking him, he could be dangerous, but something about him interested you.

The next thing Din knew is that he was sitting in a cafe watching you as you sip on your drink. Grogu sitting beside the two of you, babbling as he asked questions.

“I like your toy. He is very life-like. Did you make it?”

“He is not a toy. I’m not sure what his species are, he’s special.”

“Wait. So he is…alive?”

He didn’t know why, but he told you everything. You seemed like a trustworthy person to him.

And for some weird reason, you believed his story about another galaxy, creatures, planets, droids, and many more. He even told you about the Mandalorians.

“So, you never take the helmet off? Do you cut your own hair then?”

It was a question Din never been asked about. Washing, yes, sleeping, yes, but never about his hair.

It was a lot to wrap your head around, but you managed and even offered your home for him.

“This is called a television. We watch movies and such on it as entertainment.”

“Please promise me you won’t eat all my stuff, not everything that’s shiny or colourfull is a food.” you said looking at the green bean in his arms.

“Shower is that way, I won’t peak I promise.” you pointed him around your place.

You saw him as this scared, lost puppy who wanted to find a way home. But you weren’t sure how he will find his home. The things he explained to you, they were way more advanced than anything you have ever seen.

You began to form a special connection with the man and Grogu.

Grogu often slept with you as you were watching your movies while Din was reading his book.

The book was no help.

But when you told him more and more, he enjoyed those nights.

You two sitting on your couch exchanging stories.

While Grogu stayed at your place, sleeping, you two often went out to the store or just in public so he can learn more.

Although he wanted to get back, he was also very interested.

People gave you looks, but you didn’t care.

You just told to the ones that came to take a picture that he liked costumes.

One particular day you left Mando with the shopping cart in the store while you got the last ingredient you will need for your soup.

When you got back to him, you find a group of girls taking pictures and flirting with him, he was very uncomfortable, you could tell.

So, you walked over, claiming to be his girlfriend and getting the girls away from him.

“Please girls, leave my man alone.”

“Is he handsome under all that?” one asked.

That day changed everything.

Din saw you in a different light.

He now understood why Grogu always wanted to be around you, even though he had to understand you had work to do and go to.

You just knew you wanted to go with him.

When or if he finds a way to get back to his old life, you wanted to go with him.

His galaxy sounded much more interesting than your life could ever be on Earth. You wanted to go.

Din wanted to object, wanted to tell you that you needed to stay, stay here where it was safer.

But he was also selfish.

He wanted you by his side, he wanted to be happy with you, show you his world as you showed him yours.

He wanted you on the Crest, help him with the child.

But no matter how selfish he was, he could never ask for you to leave your life behind.

“You are not asking me to go with you. I want to! I have nothing here. No one. I hate my job, all I have is this shitty apartment. I want to see your galaxy.”

“It’s dangerous, Mesh'la.”

“That’s why you will be there. To protect me. Please don’t just leave me here. I care so much for the kid. And I love you.”

After your confession, there was no doubt in his mind that you will go with him.

Love was something he never knew, yet he yearned for.

A clan of his own. A clan of three.

It was Cara who rescued him, opened a portal to get Din and Grogu back.

You were just an addition she wasn’t prepared for but she didn’t mind

Cara immediately liked you.

And there you were finally, in his world, trying to process all the new things that you see.

You had to get used to the droids

All the planets and everything. The creatures, the people.

In his word, he wasn’t considered to be a weirdo.

If anything people looked almost afraid of him.

You thought that leaving your old life behind would be a lot harder, but no.

Even on the other planet, all you could think of was your Mandalorian and his son.

Soon, you were in the cockpit of his ship, ready to take off and see the start.

GOSH thank you so much for liking my old hq stuff enough to ask for more!! I’m not sure if I’ll get back to drawing bokuro soon, honestly? So I can’t promise that if I’ll go through with the suggestion it’ll be soon, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind for when the mood strikes!! And about the shop, I add to it whenever I feel there’s enough stuff piled up to? Though I plan to start adding more often than that from now on - I don’t really have anything for momo and kuroo to add on rb that isn’t already there, but as soon as I’ll have more of either of them I’ll remember to put them up! Thank you!!!!!! I actually used to have that same problem with shadows? However much I kept track of where the lightsource was and the shapes I was working with it always looked wrong, somehow - the way I fixed it was by adding more shadows, actually. If you’ll pick any of my colored pieces you’ll see I don’t really put down lights all that often, which means the base color ends up being my light color too, and everything else is just shadows getting darker the further I go from where the light hits the object I’m shading - generally, I use a soft tool like a brush or a marker to very roughly put down where I want the shadows to go, and then using the same tool I smudge and darken it till it looks right to me. I can’t really explain it any better than this? But I have a small tutorial for how I do this in my art tips tag, if you wanna give it a look!

It’s a mixture of both, actually! I like to look at clothing, both irl (on people I see, or stuff in the shops I visit, or even pics and movies and tv shows!) and drawn too - in anime and illustrations and manga and cartoons! I look at them and try to remember how they’re made, and then when I draw I think about it all and come up with my own by mixing stuff I liked from all those things - unless I see a piece of clothing that’d work just right as it is on a character, in which case I just draw it either as best as I can from memory or, if I have it, using a ref! It’s one of the things I find the most fun when drawing, I’m glad to hear you like what I come up with!! Thank you so much!!!

I like it!! I don’t actively ship it, since my only actual ship for Kirishima is kiribaku, but I like the look of him with todo, aesthetically, and their friendship is highly entertaining to me, which means their potential relationship in a romantic setting is too - and, as we’ve seen with my very random dip into the non-existent kirijiro fandom, that’s more than enough for me to decide maybe I’ll wanna go and draw for them, one of these days haha

So I just finished reading all of How to Handle a Nico and I absolutely fucking loved it, do you have any NicoMaki fanfic recommendations of your own?

I must offer my apologies for the delay in response. I did not forget you, Anon, despite answering two questions that came in after this one. However, I wanted to wait until I knew I had a good amount of time I could dedicate to making a proper list of recommendations worthy of my time in the LL/NicoMaki fandom, which is typically sometime during my weekend.

Also, please bear in mind that this list is not all-inclusive. NicoMaki has one of, if not the most extensive list of fanworks out of the various LL ships. If someone reading this list is a fan of, or the author of a given work not included, please do not take it personally, this is merely a sampling of my favorites. There are genres and tags that I tend to avoid for various reasons, and there are many perfectly good works with the NicoMaki ship tag that I haven’t read simply because they are not the primary focus. And due to current events, as well as those of last year, there is a sizable backlog of NicoMaki focused fics that I hope to get around to reading sometime soon.

And as I expect this to get long, I will put the list itself under a cut.

First and foremost, I must shamelessly shill an author whose first forays into NicoMaki fanfic are based on HtHaN. It’s been almost a year since the first one went up and I remain in awe that I was able to pay forward the inspiration given to me by other authors. For this list I will only be including said works based on HtHaN, though VNVdarkangel has written some other NicoMakis I haven’t read yet. - Always there - Nico wakes up in the middle of the night. Some post-canon fluffy angst. - On tracks to the heart - Takes place during the scene transition in Homecoming. - Meet ‘n’ greet - Nico has a meet ‘n’ greet event and Maki shows up - Part-time idol composer - Nico hires Riko to compose some idol music for Egao. Minor YohaRiko to keep up the casual connections between HtHaN and HL. - Next steps... - A long, multi-chapter work that takes place after the numbered chapters of HtHaN. This work tells the story of NicoMaki as they take advantage of the research mentioned way back in Telling Mama. Yay science babies! - Out of focus - Maki can’t focus on anything but Nico - The door to dreams - Riko finds the piano from How to Celebrate a Maki and Maki finds Riko. More minor YohaRiko from HL. - Idol trainer - A non-NicoMaki, RinPana honorable mention tied to HtHaN

Next, I must link a few things from jstonedd, whose works I can point to as being among those that helped cement NicoMaki as a my favorite ship. - Buy Your Love - By the gods, I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve reread this fic. It is also responsible for my headcanon that Tsubasa teaches Honoka how to skate, which I thusly include in Nico on Ice. - Soldier Wars - If memory serves, this work earns its M rating less for lewd stuff and more for action movie depictions of violence, like an R rated Charlie’s Angels or something. - After School Troublemakers - Earns its tag of Fluff and Crack. - Babies Maybe - More Fluff and Crack I only skimmed the first few chapters of Otonokizaka Private Academy and it didn’t seem very NicoMaki focused or really much my cup of tea. But I’ve heard others like it, and it was finally completed a few years back, so there’s that.

One author with whom I’ve interacted moreso than any other - maybe not VNVdarkangel as of late, but... - is the creator of one of my favorite Fantasy AUs, which is often a genre I don’t read much as it so often leans on Harry Potter, of which I’m quite unfamiliar. Of course I say I often avoid Fantasy AUs despite now writing two... Anyway, we have a few differing headcanons and I must say it’s fun to have a civil discussion about them - as opposed to others that become heated and dissolve into ad hominum attacks like the one marked by Comment Deleted tombstones in the comments of HtHaN. Anyway, that train of thought derailed, so here are some of lonelypond’s works. Worth mentioning that most works take place in the U.S. instead of Japan, something that confused me for a few chapters when I first started reading, but have come to enjoy it, especially when places are mentioned that I know. - Casual Lunacy - The aforementioned Fantasy AU as well as my introduction to this wonderful writer. Pulls in a quirky character from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, an adorable anime I’ve been meaning to finish. Maki is a werewolf. And I really need to reread this one at some point. - PhotoJazz - Maki is a photographer and Nico is an actress. - AU Yeah August - A collection of short 1 Shots. I haven’t read all of them, e.g. the Harry Potter one, but those I have were adorable, e.g. Summer Camp, Fake Dating and FWB. - Christmas Confections - A collection of amazing Christmas themed works that rank among my favorite gifts each year since I first started reading them. I’d link them each individually, but they’re all amazing so just read them all; you won’t be disappointed. Maki and Christmas just go together and lonelypond writes them well. - Can’t Get Started - To quote the summary “Nishikino Maki is trying to make it in the piranha fishbowl of movies, music and Hollywood. Yazawa Nico already has. And they keep crashing into each other.” Literally. It’s quite amusing. I’ve heard good things from other readers about the 1Kiss series but have only skimmed a few; they are high on my To Read list. The Idol House series came out during my troubled 2019, so it also remains on my To Read list. The Moonlight series seems to focus on NozoEli, which is fine, but for better or worse lowers it position on my To Read list. It’s lonelypond, so I do intend to read it eventually, but there are more NicoMaki focused fics that I’d like to get to first.

Next up is Lucia Hunter, a case where I must separate author from work. To this day I remain uncertain as to the details of the issues between this author and the denizens of Sukutomo, but the animosity exists nonetheless. Still, the listed works below were part of my gateway drugs into the wonderful world of NicoMaki fanfics. - The Diamond Princess’s Melancholy - How NicoMaki came together. - Love marginal - My favorite portrayal of KotoHonoUmi. NicoMaki is a side pairing here, and remain so through the rest of the works, but they’re still worth reading, imho. - Shiranai Love*Oshiete Love - RinPana focus but NicoMaki still plays their role. - Garden of Glass - de de deee de de deee Obviously NozoEli focused.

I’m not typically a fan of 2nd Person perspective, but this one was worth it. - Cheers for Loving You - NicoMaki Secret Santa.

Hidekins is another author that has written a lot of NicoMaki I’ve enjoyed, but on a quick scan through the AO3 entries, few are jogging my memory with title and description alone. Perhaps I’ve read more here on tumblr? Perhaps I’ll come back and add more if I remember them better later. - NicoMakisses - A set of five cute short NicoMaki stories about kisses.

Saberin writes a lot of 3rd year stuff, and that’s fine, but the NicoMaki collection is worth checking out. - Prickly Love - As of writing this list, there are 10 chapters of cuteness

whoneedsapublisher writes a lot and I enjoy the style. Thus, when I see NicoMaki pop up on the account, I try to read. - Couples Therapy - One of my favorite Maki headcanons is included here. Not explicit but earns its M rating and thus is NSFW. - Subtle - Not particularly crazy about the Nico-taller-than-Maki, but that’s a minor complaint compared to the rest of this wonderful work. - At Least Six Confessions - Presequel to the above work. Poor Nico had her work cut out for her with a romantically dense Maki. - Keep Your Promises - Ten years later... - Happy New Year - Sometimes stalemates must be broken by someone. - Hidden Depth - Nico’s voice changes. And Maki likes it - Pretending to Pretend - Not explicit, but earns its M rating so NSFW. One of my favorite examples of the Fake Dating trope. - Merry Christmas Maki - I can’t think of a better present. - No Lies Allowed - Truth of Dare, NicoMaki style. - All Dressed Up - Based on a wonderful pic by noelclover - Santa’s Stand-in - Guess who still believes... - Switcheroo - Always love the idea of the girls trying to behave like the others. Makes me want to rewatch that episode. - Tick, Tock - Some introspective Maki - Insensitive - NicoMaki dating issues - Tomatoes - Maki’s favorite food I’ve heard good things about Dazzling Warrior Nightshade, so it’s on my To Read List, but I must admit I can be picky about my Magical Girls stuff. Madoka set an... interesting bar for the genre for me and in most cases I’d prefer to watch it as an anime or read it as a manga/doujin. Still, the idea of Nico being a magic girl amuses me greatly, thus why the fic remains on my radar.

Yes, I know I just said I’m not typically a fan, but this one was also good. - Piano For Beginners - NSFW AU where Maki is assigned to teach Nico how to play the piano so as to be convincing for a film. - critical rules for not-dating - NSFW FWB AU that I need to finish reading someday but was happy enough with what I’ve read that I’d still recommend it. - 24 visits - Visits as in Nico the idol visiting Maki the doctor in the hospital. - 24 dates - A NSFW followup to 24 visits

So yeah, that’s a fairly decent list to get one started in their AO3 NicoMaki delving. As mentioned above, this is not all-inclusive and there are a ton of NicoMaki works out there. I haven’t visited FFN in years, so there may still be some authors that post there exclusively and have written some amazing stuff, but I cannot recommend what I haven’t read, or at least skimmed. I also have some tumblr works bookmarked... somewhere, so if I find them I might compare them to this list and maybe add those missed.

Here’s hoping something here piques your interest and makes you fall a little more for the wonderful NicoMaki.

Since I’m all open to taking requests and I lost the link to guidelines which were on my other Tumblr, I figured I’d just rewrite them, so here you go!

I list some potentially triggering things, if you wish me to tag for content or trigger warnings please send me a note or message!

I realize that most people on this list won’t actually go away if I politely tell them to but I feel the need to make my beliefs clear so if you’re a white supremacist, homophobe, transphobe, racist, p*dophile/self proclaimed map, or any other kind of bigot, firstly get your life together and secondly go away.

General

Fandoms I write for:

Currently I’m mainly focused on Genshin Impact, but I will also write for the Ikemen Series, Mystic Messenger, MLQC and some Lord of the Rings prompts (my lore is rusty).

For more specific information about which Genshin characters I will write for, see below.

What I won’t write:

NSFW, as I have no earthly idea currently how to write it. Maybe someday.

Ships that include such things as: problematic age gaps (including but not limited to p*dophilic ships), abuse, a relationship that only the Habsburgs would approve of (I won’t write your sibling fic), and other such things that come up.

Kids, because I’m bad at writing kids. This includes headcanons about parenting and the like.

Fanfiction for fandoms that I’m not a part of, this is for the sake of not ruining your ship or media which I know nothing about.

I’ll also currently only write character/reader, just because I don’t ship any Genshin Impact characters together, idk not my current priority. Maybe that’ll change someday.

Mystic Messenger:

Rika is a fascinating character but I won’t write for her as a ship. I just have personal hangups and also I haven’t gotten far enough in the story.

I currently haven’t played V’s route or Ray’s route yet so while I absolutely will write for them they might be a bit ooc. Sorry!

I also only write character/reader right now; basically same reason as with Genshin. Same rule about gender applies too!

It’s a whole lot of character combos so the specific requests aren’t overly detailed, please draw at will from my general likes in addition or as an alternative to those!

For any of these, I’d be thrilled to get any small situation or event that highlights the dynamic you see between these characters - show me what ties them together, what could make them drop their barriers with the other person. Or a big situation! I like plotty fic too! But especially if we matched on some bizarre “&” combo that never even interacted in canon, I’d love to simply see what a scene between them could be like.

All requests are art or fic - for art, the stuff I like is the kind that depicts the characters doing something. I’ll aways be happier with a very simple drawing of two characters walking together or sharing a cup of coffee than with an ambitious composition that looks like an Avengers poster.

Ghost Trick

For applicable characters, I am very interested in them finding about the erased timeline, but not getting their memories back, and having to live with being told about what they did but never remembering it. All what-ifs welcome (what if they managed an acceptable happy ending but didn’t reset the timeline, what if a different party went back to the past and kept their memories, what if Alma’s ghost stuck around...) Also open to AUs here, especially for generic fantasy or sci-fi settings or the Final Fantasy ones I prompted for Yuletide

Alma & Emma: an unlikely friendship, and/or something about a book that was clearly inspired by the best detective(s) working for Emma’s husband?

Alma & Sissel: domestic ghost tricks and an increasingly suspicious Alma - or a great team after she finds out what the cat can do!

Cabanela & Jowd: the loyalty... the determination... but how does Jowd express his side of their bond? What’s a Cabanela-being-Cabanela or Jowd-being-Jowd situation that’d be insufferable for anyone else, but which doesn’t bother the other one, who finds it kind of endearing?

Cabanela & Kamila: best uncle and that’s that on that. Does he teach her magic tricks? Is he not great with kids but makes an effort? What does she build that just blows his mind?

Cabanela & Missile: guard dogs bark bark. They obviously adore each other, what else can Cabanela teach Missile - and what can Missile teach Cabanela? What could they disagree about?

Cabanela & Pigeon Man: how do they meet in the new timeline, what makes their odd friendship stick this time? I love how they play off each other, with Pigeon Man’s snark bouncing off Cabs' very secure ego... does Pigeon Man end up feeling fatherly about him, in some way?

Cabanela/Jowd: please no infidelity, I only like the ship without Alma during the canon times when Alma is dead or at most a what-if where she’s not around. Did Cabanela lower his mask for a hot minute during their walk to the minister’s office, did those ~immeasurably deep~ feelings ever find an outlet? What if he’d stayed dead and tagged along with Jowd and Lynne after 15? What if no-reset scenarios? Or office shenanigans where Alma is backgrounded by virtue of not working there but she’s okay with what’s going on.

Cabanela/Jowd/Alma: what’s a hobby one of them has that the other two are dragged into? How about a day at the beach? Or in a cabin? I’ll take hot springs or basically any standard anime filler plot too. Unless you want to write about their get-together, which will never get old for me - Cabs’ stoic pining and Jowd and Alma realizing they want him and telling him is my catnip

Jowd & Lynne & Memry: please show me the Worst Mentor doing his Worst Mentoring? How is chicken involved? Do the two young detectives give him some hope for the future? What’s Memry angling for, actually?

Jowd & Pigeon Man: anything about their friendships from back in the day when Pigeon Man was still Jowd’s coroner to a new timeline where PM is still fascinated by meteors/astronomy/alien conspiracies and Jowd humors him…

Jowd & Sissel: oh the shenanigans. Some clever communication between them, on a case or otherwise? Sissel doing cat things? Gossiping through the ghost world?

Kamila & Amelie: what are they like a few years down the line, how has their friendship evolved? Throw all your aged-up headcanons at me!

Lynne & Memry: next generation detectives! Action! Ridiculous murders! Secret ghost cats! A little bit in the future maybe? Odd girl & odder girl teaming up and leaning into each other’s quirks… maybe undercover?

Lynne/Memry: same as above but they kiss - and Memry trying to get through Lynne’s obliviousness sounds like my kind of fun.

Pigeon Man & Blue Doctor: for how long has the blue doctor been a secret agent stationed in this country, has Pigeon Man crossed his path before?

Rindge & Lynne & Memry: Rindge’s burden is to be the normal one in a cast of unabashed weirdos. Memry won’t let him live it down. Lynne is faintly amused, and wishes the three of them could get a big case to show off their amazing skills...

Sissel & Missile & Lovey-Dove: pets doing pet things! What’s Lovey’s secret, how is she so blue and so strong? Sissel and Missile are on the case!

Cabanela: blind me with sparkles. I love Cabanela being fierce and dazzling bright and determined and loyal to the very end, dancing to his own rhythm, so sure of himself and of his ideas that he doesn’t even need to prove to anyone that he’s right. Too sure of the wrong idea, once, and everything crashed and burned. Casefic with ghosts? External pov about how various characters in the Special Investigation Unit see their boss?

Dark Souls

I’m only familiar with the first game! It’s probably relevant to mention that I think that linking the fire is kind of a dumbass move. There’s no winning move in this world, or at least no obvious one. It follows that I see Solaire as kind of a dumbass, tragically, inescapably drawn to a false flame even in his better ending, a paladin in a world of uncaring gods - if the topic comes up, I’d just prefer if the narrative didn’t validate his choice. Feel free to deviate from anyone's canon endings, to make things happen that'll stave off their hollowing.

Solaire & Siegmeyer: they’re both questing all across Lordran, any chance of a meeting? Could two good-natured people feel less hollow for a while in each other’s company?

Solaire & Laurentius: sun VS pyromancy go! Do their philosophies clash or can they find common ground?

Solaire & Logan: what’s Logan’s tolerance for sparkly sun boy? And what about THEIR philosophies?

Unlimited:SaGa

I’ve been in love with this game since it came out and the Scarlet Grace announcement got me all fannish again! Feel free to expand upon any of the game’s settings, they’re so charming and all so vague!

Iskandar & Leith Torles: well I spent the whole game waiting for some exposition about these two and what little there is... is in the artbook, according to the wiki? Could you expand upon that or make up something else?

Pharr & Grace: friends! And adventuring! Telling friend about adventuring? Leading friend to adventuring and discovering she’s quite apt herself?

Laura: some down time with anyone in her scenario? Or Mythe’s scenario fwiw. Who does she bond with aside from Henry?

Platyphyllum: what’s it like for a plant to travel with animals for a while? Feel free to have them bounce off anyone in either of their routes, or anyone in the cast really.

The Last Remnant

David/Rush is a welcome exception to my “no unrequested ships” DNW. I’m very interested in post-game exploration, and getting a clearer feeling of any of the cities and assorted places.

David Nassau & Torgal & Allan: like a platonic V, I’m intrigued by Torgal’s chillness toward David and by his conflictual relationship with Allan. Put all three of them in the same room and...? Skilled diplomat vs catty cat and poor Torgal in the middle?

Emmy & Glenys & Sheryl & Kate: I don’t have a specific plot hook here, I just love them all, they’re very different people and I’d like to see how they fared traveling together - or reuniting after the end of their travels! Or four unconnected vignettes, one each.

Pagus & Maddox & Sibal & Zolean: this is a ‘please adopt Zolean, he’s sad’ plea. He lost an old friend and the other three can sympathize with that, I think, and drag him into their renewed friendship and bond over being old soldiers. And three Qsiti and a Yama are fun to picture...

Pagus/Maddox/Sibal: old men being together like they couldn’t be in their youth when life got in the way, please? Get-together (who makes a move…?) or established Qsiti triad would all be amazing…

Pyre

Any cutesy activity lifted from the game would be great, like X doing laundry with Y. Any postcanon very welcome with any combination of endings as long as the revolution was peaceful. I love everyone so much. Good with background ships I requested (eg Vofred/Tariq or Bertie/Pamitha mentioned in a Volfred&Sandra fill for whatever reason), Hedwyn/Fikani, Reader/Sandra and Volfred/Oralech if applicable.

Big Bertrude & Volfred Sandalwood: something nice Volfred does for Bertrude? Some mild adventure as he brought her to the Nightwings? A bizarre request for her shop? That dialogue about their relationship slew me dead - friendship through unrequited love is one of my rare tropes, so I’d like to see any aspect of their bond. Or epistolary with an ending that splits them, either way?

Big Bertrude & Sir Gilman: consider: sneks. Tiny snake looking up to grumpy bundle of snakes in a trenchcoat. Doing snake things. SNAKES. Her convo about ascended Gilman is adorable and I wish we could see that begrudging affection in some actual interaction...

Big Bertrude/Pamitha Theyn: they just get each other and it slays me. A friendship and then more for them alone, away from the rabble of the Blackwagon... Bertrude patching up her wing best as she can... joining Pam on her travels (and complaining the entire time)...

Jodariel/Celeste: if the Heralds make it to the Union to get a shot at living a life of their own, and Tariq already has his friends and his interests in the material world, what’s left for Celeste? Maybe she could find herself unexpectedly close to Jodi, who’s good with distance and silence and also feels like the world doesn’t need her anymore...

Jodariel & Sir Gilman: On war, honor, the Bloodborder… Sir Gilman is in awe of her, obviously, but is she in a state of mind where she can be boosted by his unrelenting energy?

Tariq & Big Bertrude: he knows how to treat a lady!!! And her usual tricks just bounce off his back like water off a very polite duck. In short, they’re the perfect comedy duo, or they could be brought together by a serious cause like a Volfred in distress?

Tariq & Sir Gilman: it is a known fact that the chivalric code includes the protection of the weak and defenceless and the respect of the honour of... the moon?

Volfred Sandalwood & Sandra: banter banter banter Scribes. He usually banks on his age, but he’s a baby compared to her, and their views are distant but both reasonable... did they ever have a chat when he was the Reader of the Nightwings, or does the Reader bring her along for a visit postcanon?

Volfred Sandalwood/Tariq: All I know is Tariq of all people fell and fell hard - he makes it sound like Volfred is the biggest deal ever and he’s some servant… but he’s the herald and Volfred is actually some dude who got kicked Downside (albeit a particularly charismatic and idealistic dude). And I like this double imbalance very much. What happened in the woods during Volfred’s self-imposed exile? Or do they find each other again after the ending, in the Union? If you want to lean on how alien Tariq is and/or how tree Volfred is, please do!

Hey there! I was wondering if you could do a personal headcanon on which personality type you think suits each Mystic Messenger character?

Laskdjf I’ll do my best here, but bear with me as I try to peel myself away from my ship biases to make this :) I also have a feeling you meant V and Saeran as well, and if that’s the case, I can add them on later but they’re a bit more complicated to me and I’d probably talk for way too long on Saeran in particular so. Have the original five for now.

For Yoosung

Someone who has their feet on the ground and can kindly but firmly redirect his focus when needed (like from LOLOL to homework/school/etc)

Compassion is a must along with patience. This poor bean has some sort of depression and doesn’t get the support he needs, so his partner will need to be able to provide some of that (and maybe help him begin some sort of therapy?)

Flexibility in their relationship (in general); someone who’s not afraid to lead and take care of him, but also able to sit back and let him take care of them.

Taking him seriously is important, but also being able to tease him gently at times (maybe not to the extent Seven goes)

Ability to help him explore who he is as Yoosung Kim, no longer Yoosung Kim The Cousin of Rika. He can hold on to what she taught him but he is his own person.

Zen

Must be able to keep a tight rein on their jealousy; in public, specifically, but also not let it get out of control in private, either. Let it occasionally heat up things in the bedroom, not in arguments.

Able to carry themselves well when in the spotlight, but also fine with stepping into the shadows so as not to draw too much attention (since him being in a relationship is likely going to impact his career harshly).

Please make this man take breaks, please, for the love of god, force him to just sit down and REST at times.

Also keep food in the house. More than beer and random protein bars or the occasional salad. Just have the desire to take care of this man when he’s slacking on the parts he tends to overlook.

Be supportive of his dreams and a cheerleader, even if it’s just in little ways here and there. A note in his lunch telling him he’s got this would probably be enough to make his entire day.

Encourage him to rebuild past relationships but don’t push him; urge him gently to let go of the parts of Jumin that remind him of his brother and open up to getting to know him. Be a caring shoulder about his family, help him should he try to reach out and be ready to be there regardless of the outcome.

Understand that underneath the narcissistic outer self lies a person fairly ripe with insecurity; yes, he’s fully aware he’s got a beautiful face but is he more than that? He’s just not sure. Help him discover that he’s also a wonderful person.

Jaehee

Someone to help her come out of her shell and discover herself, that she is more than just work and Zen’s musicals.

Since she’s very rooted in logic and reality, a dreamer would be good. Not too dreamy but enough to show her sometimes things don’t always have to be serious and it’s okay to imagine things or get lost in something that isn’t reality.

Must like musicals enough to go to Zen’s with her and fangirl about his performance/the songs/the show as a whole. Although it wouldn’t hurt to show her others to branch out, too.

Encourage her to follow her own dream! Help her achieve that dream! Remind her that she is perfectly capable of opening that cafe, of running it, of being a successful owner/manager. Her knowledge and love of coffee runs deep but so does her anxiety.

Show her the lighter side of life, that it’s okay to let loose and have fun at times. Take her dancing, out on the town, something she normally wouldn’t do.

Jumin

Definitely need to be able to accept gifts gracefully and understand that it’s one of his ways to show his affection. Some people don’t like it, but it’s showing his love is on his mind at most times.

Need to be able to stand up for themself, because Jumin’s used to being in charge and that’s all good and fine, but sometimes he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Being able to firmly stand ground on what they think is right is important.

But at the same time, don’t be the type to fight over everything. Given an explanation (probably logically, or at least explained well enough emotionally) Jumin will probably understand and at least agree to disagree. Basically don’t be a doormat but also don’t go seeking a fight.

Avoid drama. It was shown in his route that he finds it petty, annoying and at times, simply stupidly amusing. Being with him means being in the public’s eye, so not only does that mean his partner needs to take Jumin’s dislike of drama into account but also the fact that anything they’re involved in that could cast a whiff of drama/scandal is going to be pounced on by paparazzi.

Someone who understands how to behave in public - or willing to learn. Again, being in a relationship with a future CEO of a successful company lends to a fair amount of press and spotlight - especially when they’re used to the scandals of Jumin’s father.

Patience, patience, patience. The man spent so many years avoiding untangling those deep emotions running through him that they won’t just unravel overnight. He’s going to struggle and need to be reminded that it’s worth it - especially since not all of those emotions are likely going to be positive. Patience and support. Lots of TLC.

Also as a bonus, maybe a “translator” to help him understand more about people who weren’t born in the upper class like him. ;)

Seven

Someone incredibly affectionate! This bean needs lots of love and reassurance, especially after everything goes down with his brother. Someone who will hug him and dance with him, let him squeeze their cheeks and twirl them around… (kidding) (sort of)

It’s not necessary but a cat lover would be a bonus, for obvious reasons.

Definitely needs to be able to push past when he goes tsundere. Look at that wall and know exactly how to climb it or break it down and get him to smile again.

An appreciation of puns, memes, and silly jokes is a must, maybe even the ability to throw them back at him. A silly side is important.

The ability to firmly but gently redirect him when he’s starting to take things too far, or to get him to be serious when the situation calls and he’s trying to avoid it.

Someone who will allow (even encourage) him to take the necessary journeys to discover who Saeyoung is. Not Luciel, not 707, but Saeyoung Choi. He obviously has a vague sense but that needs to be expanded on and it’s far too easy to fall into the “I-am-Saeyoung-Choi-brother-of-Saeran-Choi” and not go any further. He needs to be pushed toward self-discovery.

PAPER HEARTS -- A JinKook Headcanon

I just became ultra emo at my own idea about how Jungkook covered ‘Paper Hearts’ by Tori Kelly and how Jin always creates them!

Also, I’m too lazy to write a full fiction so it’s a hc

Also also, I say Jinkook but it’s not like a romantic ship this time

It’s the year 2020something, so this means Jin has had to enlist and do his 2 years army service

You know, the army as in not referring to the fandom

Because I think we can all agree

He’s done more than enough service for us :)

Of course, the band don’t want to release material as a 6 piece without their eomma

Who by the way, leaves us with a beautiful solo EP to keep us going

So they pursue solo careers and even sub-units to keep gifting ARMYs with music!

There’s Rap Mon and Agust D with more hot mixtapes

Not without a sub-unit of Jimin and Suga called ‘Mini’ though

[ Min + Jiminie if you didn’t catch that ]

Jungkook would definitely release a solo album, maybe even reaching different countries

I wouldn’t go as far as to say American debut just yet

But it’s definitely on the cards

There’s a Sunshine Line sub-unit [ V / Jimin / J-Hope ]

It’s called Sunshine, written as 선샤인 also known as Shine Line because someone probably made a mistranslation

idk maybe some of it’s stuff that’s being going on in the background in preparation for Jin’s leave [and the others’ leaves eventually too] and now it’s all being put in the spotlight

So Jungkook is alone in the dorm, which seems to be empty whenever he gets any spare time lately

Omigod! She’s actually gotten to the frickin’ point now!

Yes I know

The sunshine line are out doing recordings and promotions and fan meetings

Suga-hyung and Rap Mon-hyung have bought their own places and don’t live here anymore

They drop by when they can, but like Jungkook, they’re extremely busy

He decides the dorm is a little messy and he should clear up a little

‘A little’ becomes a bit more thorough as he finds himself sorting and rearranging almost everything

And his hyungs have all been working especially hard over the past few days because it’s time for promotions for their first release as a sub-unit

So Jungkook figures it’d be a nice gesture on his half to tidy and clean the other two bedrooms

Admittedly, there isn’t a great deal to do though because the guys still manage to keep their rooms in pretty decent shape

So he finds himself having a little nosey, mainly in the room that J-Hope-hyung has moved into

Because VMin boyfriends share a room forever of course

It’s only natural for Jungkook’s mind to wander to Jin-hyung as he takes a curious peak under one of the beds

Jungkook wonders how Jin-hyung is doing, hoping that he’s looking after himself the best he can, that the lifestyle isn’t too hard on him...

He briefly tries to imagine himself in Jin-hyung’s shoes in about 5 years time -- maybe sooner if he decides to go when Jimin-hyung and Taehyung-hyung enlist

But his train of thought soon drifts back to Jin-hyung specifically again as he glances out of the door, half wishing expecting his elder to be at the door like

“Yah! Jeonggukie! what are you doing in mine and Yoongi’s room!”

Jungkook smiles at the thought of his hyung scolding him and he returns to his own room since he’s finished his fair share of the chores

In his room, he feels a little cold, so he picks out a jacket hanging on a rail

It’s one he hasn’t worn in forever and it looks cosy enough, so he puts it on

Content with just the idea of laying down on his bed and relaxing, he does exactly that

He has a little think about the things about Jin-hyung he is most looking forward to seeing again

Which is everything to be really honest

Even the little things that sometimes got on Jungkook’s nerves

But I’m not gonna separate which is which hahahaha

Bad dad jokes

Yet being his temporary mom at the same time

Delicious food

His awkward charms

and the smooth ones he gives to ARMYs

Windscreen wiper laugh

To keep his hands warm, he places them in his pockets

And as you do with a forgotten jacket, Jungkook finds himself absent mindedly rummaging the pockets

And he can feel a piece of folded paper

Which is curious

Since he never really needs to write anything like lists or notes to remember things

So he takes the piece of paper out of his pocket

That’s odd, it’s a red piece of paper...

He unfolds it

It’s a heart

that Jin-hyung must have put in his jacket

After all, this jacket was used on stage

It was probably a back up plan to show off his charms on stage

Jungkook wonders if any of the other members have come across any paper hearts in their jacket pockets or just lying around.

I feel the need to mention that this is just for fun / to be a little emo [although my initial ending was much more depressing soooo]. Please don’t take everything I say ever on this post seriously.

I think I’ll add this to my fiction masterlist in case I do more like this

Old WoY fics that I’m still proud of (+ commentary)

So yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve written really anything for WoY. Admittedly once the series ended, the tag slowed down, and new things like the Lego Batman Movie came out, I sorta lost interest. Though, after rewatching a few episodes (thank you Disney XD marathon ^v^), I’ve got WoY back on the brain. Hopefully I’ll be able to write fics for this show again soon, once I’ve finished some of my other planned fic projects/stuff I have to write for possible jobs. But until then, I just wanna take some time to look back on old WoY fics that I’m still really proud of and enjoy rereading ^v^ And, if you haven’t read these fics, consider this a personal recommendation list.

First up: Post Finale fics. Fics that focus on elements or ideas either based on stuff from ‘The End of the Galaxy’, or just take place after the finale epi.

Can’t Run - I really do love Hater’s “I can’t run if I want to be number one!” quote. Without that line from the first S2 episode, Hater’s dramatic turn around in the finale may seem like plot convenience or just something that came out of nowhere. But, similar to Wander, I firmly believe that with enough determination, Hater is able to accomplish anything. He’s certainly got the power and even intellect for it, he just needs that big push of either determination or genuine confidence. So yeah, I wanted to write this just to sorta fill in the gap between TEoTG’s opening scene and Hater’s big dramatic speech. I also wanted to write some more Hater and Peeps interaction, since it’s still a fun dynamic even if it’s not my favorite in the show. Rereading it, I feel like I could have maybe written Hater a bit better towards the end - maybe have him hesitate more before revealing what he was feeling - but otherwise I still like how it turned out.

Better - Another Post-Finale Hater fic, following the idea that after saving the Galaxy, Hater tries to do good (even if he’s reluctant to have the ‘good guy’ title). I like the idea of him struggling with this new identity as well as new goals, and who better to relate to this than a former bad guy? It really is too bad we couldn’t have more Syl and Hater interactions. I feel like they could not only be enjoyable to watch, but also interesting just to see. But yeah, writing their dynamic is fun, and after they pretty much saved each other in the finale, I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t have at least one sit-down talk/positive interaction with each other.

Conventional Rerun - Aaaaand another Hater-focused fic, though more focused on his possible reformation than the finale itself. ...Can you guys tell which character I enjoy writing most? Lol. But yeah, I remember this idea hitting me pretty randomly one day while I was abroad. Basically I wanted to write a bunch of jokes around both conventions and Hater’s cartoon. Of course Hater just hates the thing, though I was able to imagine multiple reasons why, as well as figure how that hate could possible become a ‘love-hate’ relationship with his cartoon. Again, it sorta connects to Hater having fans and being considered a ‘good’ force in the Galaxy now, and basically not knowing how to take it. Hater may seem simple at times, but I really do feel like he’s got plenty of layers - both in how he thinks as well as how/what he feels. Also, a lot of show continuity and meta jokes in this one, also fun to write ^v^

Long Time No See - My reason for writing this? WHY DIDN’T WANDER AND JEFF INTERACT IN THE FINALE?! Lol, but yeah, the idea of exploring the feelings of a character like Jeff - someone who both had been ‘wanderized’ for a while and who had to deal with his new friend eventually leaving - was too interesting to pass up. Maybe not the most exciting fic, and I do kinda wish I could have done just a bit more with it, but still pretty fun to write ^v^

There’s also By Any Other Name which, while not really an episode based on the finale, still takes place after it, and explores an element I think any WoY fan’s interested in: Wander’s name. I was really hoping this fic wouldn’t turn out too long winded or exposition heavy or ‘deep’, which is why I made the set up for all the more thinky/exposition filled and emotional stuff so grounded (and relateable, considering I was also traveling while I planned out this fic). But I’m so proud of how it turned out in the end, having just the right amount of emotion and story, as well as some humor ^v^

Similarly, there’s Reset the Clock, though that one connects more to ‘The Waste of Time’ than the finale. Definitely not my favorite of the bunch even if it’s fairly well written, though I still like reading it occasionally simply because I like filling in the gaps between scenes/time in episodes like this one.

Alright, next up: Minor Character Focused Fics! Because darn it, there are too many characters to love from this series!

One Last Bite - This one I definitely have to put first, because the more I watched ‘The Fancy Party’, the more interested I was in Entozoa and Wander’s pasts. Once it was revealed that Wander was possibly immortal, the fact that Entozoa specifically wanted to take over his body just made even more sense. So, I wrote a fic focused on the two of them, both because I thought it’d be interesting to explore the relationship between two practically immortal characters, but because I couldn’t get the image of Possessed-by-Entozoa!Wander fighting the others and speaking like Malachite from SU out of my head. The latter half of this fic was so much fun to write ^v^ I also feel like I did a decent job writing Wander’s final conversation with Entozoa (and considering that I sometimes struggle with dialogue, any time I can do it well I consider a success).

Tiger in Kitten’s Clothing - I LOVE LITTLE BITS! ...Then again I pretty much love every minor character from this show but still, she’s one of my favorites ^v^ Her rivalry with Syl and the sort of irony that can come from it can also be interesting and fun to think about. I also really love the imagery I was able to do with this one. So yeah, maybe just a simple character piece with not a ton of story but eh, I still love it ^v^

Breakout and Blindly Looking Out - Two Ryder stories that, despite the first one being more Syl focused, still very much connect with each other. Maybe this is just me totally falling for Ryder’s charm, but I firmly believe that he isn’t a terrible person, despite doing some pretty terrible things. So, this was just my attempt at fleshing him out and giving some motive for his actions, as well as giving some backstory for his relationship with Syl. I like how both of them turned out, but I feel like Blindly Looking Out is the stronger one.

Freezing Warmth and Helmet and Sword - Another pair of fics, this time focusing on Hater, Prince Cashmere and Peepers. It’s always a fun challenge to write interactions for characters who have never really interacted before. Pretty sure this one was both inspired by RPs/conversations between me and Tessa as well as Hater and Cash’s brief interactions in ‘The Rager’. Adding in elements like Hater learning swordfighting and Peepers being sort of jealous just made it all the more enjoyable to write and reread. Again, I enjoy the latter story of this duo more, but I still really like how Freezing Warmth turned out ^v^

Crashing Waves - AKA the first fic in the Awesome Arc series. Like Ryder, I really do love Awesome despite his jerkiness. Though, if there was a downside to this character, it was that he never really got a ton of development or was super interesting (though still pretty fun to watch) until ‘The Rival’. So, this was my attempt to sorta fill in that possible character development, as well as just use the excuse to put a bunch of my Awesome headcanons in a story. Peepers and Hater also get a bit of the spotlight in these stories, which I don’t mind at all ^v^ If anything, it just makes the series feel more whole. I really do hope I can finish this series one day. Maybe it’s a bit too dramatic or angsty at times but eh, with something like PTSD and changing your whole identity, that’s sorta to be expected.

Peace - A quick look at Ripov, as well as a bit at Beeza and their possible relationship with each other. Maybe a bit rambley in places but, eh, I still like it ^v^ (and still ship it, lol)

Don’t Fence Me In - Another Jeff fic! Again, sorta focusing on being kind of left behind after being ‘wanderized’, though thankfully it turned out more bittersweet than angsty. To this day, I still consider it the best Jeff-focused fic I’ve ever written.

There’s also Admirable Interstella that focuses on The King of Sherblorg 7 and Stella Starbella that... I don’t hate persay but, I don’t love either. If anything, I’m more just proud that I was able to write something for such a strange idea and actually have it make sense and flow decently. Though, I do wish I could have managed to make it shorter.

But speaking of ships... Iiiiiiii have a lot of shipping fics, lol. Much more than I could list and still keep this post at a reasonable length. Most of them are for Wander x Hater but I have written plenty for Syl x Peeps, Hater x Syl, canon characters and OCs, etc. Surprisingly, even the old ones or the ones for pairings I don’t ship much anymore I’m still pretty proud of. Now, before I end this post, there’s still one fic I want to mention. My longest WoY project to date (and probably ever): Rockin’ Over Yonder

This fic... Ohhhhh boy this fic. Even without it having the personal baggage/behind the scenes stuff that I don’t really want to go into, I’d STILL probably have a love/hate relationship with this fic. For one, it was written before Season 2, so there are just soooooooo many elements that I could either rewrite or add in if I cared to. There’s also plenty of pretty cheesy or cliche moments in it that came from just me still being pretty new to writing fics as well as getting used to writing the WoY characters in general. So yeah, there’s a lot to not like...

But at the same time, there’s a lot I can’t help but love. Some scenes I really like, with some scenes that I can’t help but look at and think “Wow... I actually managed to write something like that?” There are some scenes and lines that I just absolutely loved writing, scenes that I can STILL perfectly picture in my head even after all these years. Maybe I missed out on including Dom and other S2 characters, but I still managed to fit in plenty of great S1 characters. And finally, what I love about this story the most is that I actually managed to do a good job writing and slowly developing the romantic relationships between the various characters/pairings.

So, despite the stuff I dislike about Rockin’ Over Yonder, the stuff I may be embarrassed about or the semi-related bad memories that may pop up when I think of this fic, I still can’t help but be proud of it, with part of me wanting to remember it. Honestly, along with Phineas and Ferb and maybe Regular Show, Wander Over Yonder probably inspired me the most in terms of ideas and fanfics - especially towards the end of it’s run. I’m grateful to WoY for inspiring me to write and think and analyse so much (along with all the other things it did for me, including introducing me to my best friend). The show may be over and I may be writing for other fandoms, but I don’t think I’ll ever truly forget these fics or the show they were inspired by ^v^

Some Mob Psycho 100 Gen Fics

So call me inspired by this post by @guttersnipequeen because I’m always overjoyed to be seeing gen works getting some appreciation, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites! :’D So here are a few (with an emphasis on Mob and Reigen or Dad!Reigen, since their dynamic is my favorite ;v; ) And sorry most of these are pretty short or oneshots, I tend to have a very short attention span;;;

Also heed the warnings on these fics! They’re not all pure fluff...no romance/sex/shipping or anything like that to be found in these fics though.

I’m just going to start on @sukikobold ‘s works, because she’s a wonderful writer and literally all of her works are beautiful gen. All of them. Some favorites include:

Thorns (one-shot)

The thorns that surrounded him were red and twisted. Every plant was so intertwined with the others, it was impossible to tell where one ended and the next one began. Or maybe they were all one plant. It didn’t make much difference.

(Such a beautifully symbolic piece for a beautifully symbolic picture, I’m extremely fond of them, oh my goodness...)

Hospital Flowers (one-shot)

It was bad enough for Ritsu knowing that his brother had been kidnapped. He didn't think finding him would be so much worse.

(It’s nice seeing how many people worry about Mob, and I also like seeing Ritsu learning to trust Reigen a bit more :’) )

One Afternoon (multi-chapter)

A possible answer to the question, "What would have happened if Mob had asked someone else for help with his powers?"

Aka: An AU where Mob and Reigen don't meet until the present day.

(Not finished yet, but it’s already plenty heartwarming and I’m very interested to see what this story is building up to!)

The staff of Salt Middle School consider Kageyama Shigeo's third emergency contact.

(First gen fic I found and liked for this series! It’s really interesting seeing character studies from the outsider POV of a well written OC. Plus the ending is precious <3 )

99 by entrenched (two-shot, part of a series I haven’t made it all the way through yet but it is indeed all gen)

In which Mob & Reigen ask the same question: Will you forget me?

(Oh mannnn...really sweet but melancholic fic, this one breaks my heart in all the best ways ;~; )

Symbiosis by ruthwrites (multi-chapter)

In the aftermath of the night fighting Claw's 7th Division, Mob's powers return to him. However, something unknown is left behind with Reigen. Something that doesn't want to remain there. And someone begins to take notice of the strange psychic activity coming from the Spirits and Such Consultation Office.

(Or: in which Reigen is saddled with ???%, and things go poorly for all involved.)

(Woo, okay, REALLY COOL fic here, full of some interesting headcanons and theories (some horror too, be careful) The last few chapters kept me on the edge of my seat! I love the descriptions and characterizations soooo much, and I was also happy to get a sort of Psychonauts-ish vibe from the end scenes which I don’t wanna specify because spoilers lol)

On Glass Shoulders by NotHereForIt (two-shot)

Mob is not answering his phone.

And Reigen really does not want to be the one to tell the Kageyamas that he lost their kid while on an exorcism job.

(Admittedly, I was a liiittle iffy on the premise at first glance, but after reading...dang I think I’m in love with this one really. Wonderfully in character, protective Reigen, good fluff, the return of Reigen lecturing bad guys and being awesome in general...plus a surprise follow up chapter update recently to nicely wrap things up! What more could I ask for really? )

When You Need Me by SpiritusRex (multi-chapter)

Five times Mob hugged Reigen, and one time Reigen hugged Mob.

( Gosh this one’s so good and sweet, and I can see these happening in canon too! They actually fix/add a few scenes that I think should have happened; all very good, I’m always excited to see a new installment :’D Annnd I know it was already mentioned on the linked post, but @ghoststrawberries /SpiritusRex and @starsfadingbutilingeron /GlowingArrowsInTheSky also made the adorable A Cat Named Milk fic series, SO precious and pure, oh man...I had to put it here still, I had to ;v;)

Lysis by caratcake (one-shot)

The boy stared, his eyes holding the immeasurable depth of black holes, empty but all-encompassing. He lifted his hand, and the man tightened his grip on his charm. The boy did not reach for it. Instead, he splayed his hands palm up, eyes directed upwards -

“There is no rain.”

(Super short but super beautiful Serizawa-centric fic, I loved reading it!)

(There’s only one chapter of this so far but it already looks very promising, so I’ll go ahead and put it here! :’D)

As for @phantomrose96 , I feel like her angst fics get talked about alot, and for good reason too (I’m sure you all have seen me yelling about A Breach of Trust at some point or another asdhureiregh), but I sometimes like to remind myself she can write some really good fluff when she wants to...this is one of those times. Chiasmus by fireflysummers (two-shot)

In the end, Mob can’t protect other people from himself. In the end it all comes to a head, and when he wakes up people have died. It doesn’t matter who they were or what they were trying to do. It doesn’t matter that his life, and the lives of those most important to him were at stake. All that matters is that he failed.

So, in his despair, he builds a cage and willingly walks into it. His vessel sleeps, and he knows that the others may mourn him for a while, in the end it’s better this way. The others, however, aren’t going to let that stand.

Even if they have to go in after him.

I love this headcanon???? But also consider, if his boyfriend is Kaminari, Sero’s hair is always super staticky once he’s stopped petting it. Like, his hair just sticks in every direction, it looks super funny. Or, his boyfriend is Bakugou (or his girlfriend is Mina! same scenario plays out) and Sero has to wash his hair after Bakugou/Mina is done because their hands are dangerous and having flammable hair isn’t much fun, Neither is having acid very slowly corroding his scalp Poor boy, three out of four of my fav partners for him are dangerous for his hair haha

You’re not the only one!! That’s one of my favorite things out of bnha and also one of the reasons why I’m such a fan of the adults of the series - not all of them, but most of the guardians have a great grasp on what they should expect out of kids and what they can ask of them and what they should instead keep them away from, which I appreciate a lot. And some of them (Aizawa, Toshinori from some point on, Bakugou’s parents, Fatgum to say some) have a great understanding of the kids they’re responsible for and make decisions based on what’s right while at the same time accomodating the kids’ aspirations and dreams, which is super amazing because it doesn’t negate the fact that even if they’re just kids they’re still people, you know? They talk to them and understand them and act as guardians without clipping their wings, you never see this sort of things in media tbh so I appreciate it a lot

Yeah I’m sure that’s how it went! Well, I was about to say that maybe even if Izuku hadn’t been the last one Aizawa would have let the last one stay anyway since 1A is a pretty impressive class, but the 19th place was Mineta that time so honestly who knows. Maybe we were one step away from not having Mineta in the class and Izuku ruined it for us. Who knows. (lol)

I used to follow the manga! Like, a real long time ago? I think I got up to when we found out that Yukio’s a demon too and then I sorta... dropped it... cause I just... couldn’t stand Shiemi at all... sorry - my faves used to be Shima and Izumo tho!!! I used to love them so much and I still miss them so much that sometimes I seriously consider picking the manga up again just for them hahaha

"Love Novels" may be intended to be sung to a dense boyfriend, but from this Chinese fan's YT video [?v=7CA9gB8ZQak], it works too well if Nico & Maki sing it addressing each other. Maybe sometime after "Running Late", Eli notices how well that video boosts the Nico/Maki ship within the HtHaN universe? (As a side note, the same Chinese fan also created a fan video for "Zurui yo Magnetic Today" somewhere.)

To be honest, I’ve always held a generic headcanon that thelove songs of LL are being sung to a generic fan, gender unspecified. The exceptionto this would the LONLIEST BABY as it uses the English word “boy” multipletimes. However, as I continue to listen to the songs in my playlist, read the translatedlyrics and think about those singing the song, I eventually form headcanons forindividual songs.

BiBi dominates the play counts and as such, I have moreideas about their ten awesome songs. And I would like to eventually mentionthem all in HtHaN in some way; be it a scene about writing the song, editingit, deciding the center, practicing it, performing it, analyzing some aspect ofit, etc.

Back in my early days of shipping NicoMaki, back when translatedcanon content was harder to come by and the fanfic authors were gearing up fortheir heyday, I stumbled across a fic that addressed the creation of the firsttwo BiBi songs, and I liked the idea. Without going into great detail, the girlseach wrote a song based on the other; Nico writing Diamond Princess about Makiand Maki writing Love Novels about Nico. I’d like to take that idea and make itmy own for HtHaN.

I’ve already established that Nico and Maki pulled an all-nighterto pound out the first two BiBi songs, but I would like to backtrack and writea scene or two leading up to that. How obvious either girl is about the factthat they are steering one of the songs toward being about the other girlremains to be seen, and I’ll probably cross that bridge when I get there. So thatall said, both songs, in HtHaN, will be written with the intent of being abouteither Nico or Maki.

Maybe that’s what causes the fans to set sail on the goodship NicoMaki? Maybe a fan video of that nature is what causes Maki to learn ofthe ship? I currently have her set to learn about the ship some time after thethird-years graduate, but as I haven’t written that scene, I am open to retconningthat idea; I think it’s only mentioned once anyway. Or maybe Eli finds the videoand tries to keep it secret from the easily embarrassed Maki for fear that theredhead will not want to perform the songs? Obviously Nico would have already foundthe videos, as she scours the net for idol content, and is definitely the typeto Google herself which might result in her finding such a vid.

So, I guess this was all a long, roundabout way of saying,yeah, I’ll add the idea of a Love Novels NicoMaki fan video to my notes. AndI’ll see what my µ’s muse does with it.
