Cass is an expert of many things, but your absolute favourite has to be her love for ballet!

It was no surprise how much she's incorporated her ballet knowledge into her fighting style—not to the point where anyone could see the similarities between Cass and Orphan, but just enough to give her certain advantages that the rest didn't have.

The first time Cass gave you the invitation to her recital was when she stopped by the café as usual one fine afternoon.

You had expected a form for a trip that needed your permission but no, it was so. much. better.

Not only was Cass' name handwritten in gold ink, but she was going solo for that matter?

You immediately tackled her into the biggest, most bone-crushing hug you could muster. Nothing Cass couldn't handle, though, in fact, she reciprocated your own happiness, grinning and giggling as you wouldn't stop gushing about how proud you were and how you needed to call Bruce, even if it was still office hours.

And you did just that!

Bruce thankfully didn't have any pressing matter when you rang him up, picking up the phone in one hand and idly checking some reports with the other. He stopped caring for the papers in hand though, not when he could hear how excited you sounded.

"We're invited to Cass' first recital next month!" You squealed, the soft of giggles of your not-so-little girl didn't go amiss on the line, "You have to clear your schedule."

Bruce grinned, both at the news and your sudden seriousness. You didn't have to tell him and you knew it, for he immediately wrote the date on a piece of paper to be passed to his assistant later on.

Cass also took the opportunity to share the news with the rest of the family, with all of their congrats and compliments ranging from Alfred and Damian's detailed praises for her appreciation in such fine art, to Dick's chaotic but meaningful cheers in all caps lock, with a side of triple fire emojis.

All in all, it was almost overwhelming for her—no matter how subtle Bruce tried to be in moving the old, almost depressing paintings out of the manor's ballroom after learning about her hobby, or how you'd bring over a single chair in the middle of the room to watch her new move without hesitation, or how Alfred made sure the manor's ballroom was always squeaky clean for her own use, she would be in awe of how fate brought her here.

A place where she not only fought for the safety of others, but also a place where she could finally make a name for herself the way she wanted.

Despite your protests, Cass helped you around the café that day, too happy to just sit down when she could channel that energy by lending a hand. You were thankful for the extra pair of hands though, for you wanted nothing more than to celebrate with her at home.

It was only fitting to bring her to the ballroom, the person praising her now was Alfred, who had came in with tea to pair with the extra cookies you brought from the café.

There was really no other way to channel your own joy other than to dance with her—from pirouettes to a grand jeté together. You learned from the best after all, how could you ever say no when she once shyly offered to teach you how to properly plie once upon a time?

With the classical music paired with Alfred's claps and the three of you laughing, it wouldn't take long for the rest of your family, besides Bruce, to investigate as soon as they're home. Some readily came with gifts, others were ready to properly congratulate Cass as texting did little to no justice. But seeing how much fun you were having, they believe it was best to at least wait till the music ended.

But ever the perceptive child, Cass was quick to notice the newcomers and immediately waved at them. They all huddled around her, with Cass growing flustered by the sheer attention she was getting in one day. She did somewhat expect a positive reaction, but not to this extend, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

You and Alfred watched the sight fondly, your smiles growing bigger when one of them had asked her to teach them a thing or two. And just like chain reaction, almost everyone was trying it out. It was hilarious, to say the least, seeing them, ranging from tall, buff, serious and just almost out of place, glancing at one another as they sought the girl's approval for their plie.

"I wasn't aware of a party." You sucked in a breath, the unexpected arrival of your husband taking you by surprise, let alone when his arms wove around your waist and then kissed you on the crown of your head. You leaned into him, caressing the back of his hand before letting his intertwine his fingers with yours.

"It's only fair," You sighed, not wanting to tear your eyes away from the tooth-rotting moment before you. You felt Bruce's chest vibrate on occasion, no doubt amused to see some making it a competition to see who was best, "Our girl deserves it."

Our girl.

As if on command, Bruce's hand lightly brushed over your tummy. You didn't stop him, only to gasp when he proceeded to tickle you and shared a laugh. You threw your head to the side, giving him the opportunity to nuzzle into your neck and be in your own world just as your children was.

To say Cass was in heaven was an understatement, and though her life started rough, she had always thanked the universe for shining her to the path that actually mattered to her most.

With the people she was meant to be with.

Expect to sit on Katakuri's shoulder as he walks around with you. It's the easiest way to travel together without having to hold you in his hand the entire time or force you to run. Plus, being so close to his face makes conversation also possible.

He is sure to use his observation Haki quite a bit if he isn't sure where you might be. The last thing he wants to do it accidentally step on you coming home in the dark one night. Best to be safe rather than sorry!

Your massive size difference does not hinder doing activities together. Given the wide range of citizens in Totto Land, it's not that difficult to get smaller sizes accommodations for you in tandem with his much bigger sized ones. You have a customer dinner table so that you can still eat together as a couple.

Bathing together is intimate and honestly fun. The bathtub is practically a swimming pool to you, and the shower has two set of controls so you can still use it without him having to turn them on.

If he feels you're getting an attitude, he'll pick you up by the back of your shirt and lift you to his face. He likens it to disciplining a temperamental cat, and the image pops into his head every time you pout at him with crossed arms from this position.

His clothing makes climbing up Katakuri quite manageable. It's secretly one reason he has spikes in so many places, so that you can scale up his body if need be. He finds it a little endearing.

Sleeping is a...tricky arrangement. Most often you just end up sleeping on his chest so that he doesn't accidentally crush you in his sleep. Though you can't lie, being completely smothered by his sleeping body and being pressed into the comforter sounds quite lovely.

He has no problem simply picking you up by the waist and carrying you around. He always makes sure not to squeeze, since he is so ridiculously strong, he could hurt you by accident.

The tiny kisses that you can provide do wonders for his heart. And he hopes that his much bigger, teethy ones are just as satisfying for you.

He loves you, no matter how big or small you may be. The fact that you love him back with as much intensity is more than he could have ever imagined having in his life and he appreciates it well.

Freud's Last Session - my review

I finally got to watch Freud's Last Session after being immersed in this film and talking about it for over a year! I loved it, it is beautiful 💗

Both actors did a magnificient turn. Matthew was truly mesmerising, his presence filled the whole screen and he conveyed such an incredible and nuanced range of emotions. You could read his face like a book, no words necessary. And when he did talk, the cadence and timbre (😉) of his voice was enthralling.

He said in interviews he wanted above all to convey C. S. Lewis's humanity and boy did he nail that. Kindness and compassion truly emanated from his character's every pore. I wanted to see more of his Lewis 💗💗.

Unlike some reviewers, I really enjoyed the flashbacks as I thought they added to the characters and understanding of their journey. But for me the sub plot with Anna and her friend was a bit drawn out and detracted from what was going on with the two main characters (although beautifully acted and an interesting story on its own merit).

As for the main show, the two giants Freud and Lweis talking to each other, that was amazing and I could also have had more. However, I felt the dialogue was quite fast-paced and I now want to read the script and watch the film again so that I fully absorb what they were saying. I deliberately watched without subtitles (I always need subtitles lol) so that I could just soak up the film through first impressions.

The cinematography by Ben Smithard was stunning, particularly the play of light and dark (chiaroscuro, one of my favourite things 😁). The losing of light as the day progessed (with the sound of the rain pattering outside) beautifully conveyed the passing of time, Freud and Lewis getting absorbed into their talk, their growing intimacy and the momentousness of their day together. And the woodland scenes with Lewis were truly magical.

The set design by Luciana Arrighi, particulary Freud's meticulously recreated office) was astounding in its detail and beauty. The opening sequence and panning shot of Freud's antique objects was so gorgeous.

Congratulations to all involved, a beautifully crafted film.

I will be posting edits from the film but will try and keep them spoiler-free until most of us have seen it.

Yes to that comic version of Bruce! 👏 (what did you think of the bale batman and battinson?) Jensen is a bloody good actor but I just can't process him as the bat I look at him and my brain just says 💗soft💗 I liked the bale batman- although I can't see him as batdad but I can somehow see battinson trying to parent lol Jon Bernthal would make a killer batman for sure. I find it soo hard to fancast and I always end up changing my mind

Who is your Alfred? I love Michael Caine Alfred and I quite liked the Alfred from the Gotham TV series

I can't unsee Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing like in my mind the way Hugh Jackman shall forever be Wolverine and Ian McKellen is forever Gandalf, Brenton Thwaites is now my forever Nightwing. I really really want a Nightwing movie so bad. Have you seen the YouTube Nightwing series?

I've never heard of Tanner Buchanan before, but yo the green eyes sealed the deal there 💚 I find Jason the hardest to cast tbh

Griffin Gluck!! Have you seen locke and key? that's the only thing I've seen him in, Felix Mallard was in it too, I can sometimes envision Felix as Jason sometimes not, I've not seen a fancast before that has made me be like yes that is 100% Jason, I liked the hbo titans version of Jason but only as the hbo titans Jason if that even makes sense, little dude did so good in that role 👏 but anyways sorry for the Jason tangent lol !Griffin Gluck Tim Drake hell yeah! This is partly crack partly not but mostly crack but I can somewhat see Rebal D as Tim Drake the energy in his YouTube videos is at times very Tim to me

I wish dc would even just make a short mini movie, like 15 mins long, about Bruce trying to be a responsible father and damian just being damian 🤣

I know the ages for this arent right but oh well lol, I think I'd fancast Chance Perdomo as Duke, Emma Stone as Steph and Violet Orlandi as Cass, for the life of me I can't come up with anyone for Babara? (I love Violet as Cass, she's not even an actress but she could sooo do it)

Hi anon!!! This is an AMAZING ask!!! Thank you so incredibly much for taking the time to send it! 🥰

This answer is going to be a bit lengthy so I'm going to put it under the break. And I am planning on doing another post of fancasting like this one for the extended Batfam members so I might not address all your points here, but they will be coming very soon! 😘

First of all, I am a big fan of both Bale and Pattinson's portrayals. I have a hard time picking a favorite because their approaches to the character are so different and yet both valid. I am VERY interested to see what they do with Battinson moving forward since this first movie is still early in his time wearing the cowl where he is still figuring out what Batman should be. And I would LOVE to see him get a Robin in the sequel (preferably sticking with Dick like the canon) but we shall see!

I'm not sure if you've seen The Boys, but Jensen's portrayal of Soldier Boy is all the proof to me that he could nail portraying Batman. And his range in Supernatural (from being a gruff and heartless hunter one minute to breaking down in a softer, protective emotional side the next) solidifies for me that he could switch between Batman to Batdad when needed. And he's charming as hell so Bruce wouldn't be a problem 😂

I'll have my new fancast of Alfred on my next post, but from previous ones, Michael Caine is always my Alfred. I think Andy Serkis is a great version of Alfred for Battinson and is what that Bruce needs (and his performance is great as always) and I enjoyed Sean Pertwee in Gotham (once again, a great interpretation for what *that* Bruce needed). However, Michael Caine was my first live-action Alfred and he was SO PERFECT, I don't think he will ever be topped as my favorite.

To be fair, I think Brenton Thwaites had the look for Dick and I think he could have been a good choice if the show was different, but for me, I can't get over how much Titans tone and interpretation of the characters/stories rubbed me the wrong way. None of the characters felt accurate to me based on their comic counterparts and the studio just tried to be too edgy and dark. The perfect example is the "Fuck Batman" moment. It was all over the trailers and just seemed like something they wanted to push to be like "this ain't your parent's Robin" but they pushed things so far it didn't even feel grounded in the characters I love. (don't even get me started on the Red Hood plot line).

I have seen the Nightwing youtube series and they do a really good job with it! My hope for this new direction of the DC movies and the fact The Brave and the Bold will focus on Bruce and Damian's relationship is that it means they'll include Nightwing and maybe mention Tim now working with the Titans (you don't want to include too many characters in the first movie which is the problem a lot of superhero movies have made lately). And I also want a mention of Jason but not have him returned as Red Hood yet which would be its own movie later.

Speaking of Jason.... While Dick is my first Robin and will always have a very special place in my heart because of that, Jason is my favorite. I just love how complex and rich his character development and story is. I also find casting him really difficult because of that. However, I do think Tanner Buchanan has a good potential. I've seen him in a few smaller roles, but I know he is a main character in Cobra Kai so he does have experience with fighting he could bring to the role (I haven't seen the show but I did watch clips on youtube). And as you pointed out, those green eyes are a big plus!

I think Curran Walters does a good job in Titans for what the show wants of him, but once again, it's just not my Jason and I rage quit season 3 😂 (though I watched clips of key Red Hood moments from later in the season)

Tim is always the hardest member of the main Batfam for me to write or cast just because he is the one I have the least knowledge or experience with outside of fanfics. However, I still really like him as a character and think he has a lot of potential in a movie or show. And I haven't seen Locke and Key (though it is on my list because I LOVE Aaron Ashmore)

I am excited with the prospect of having Bruce and Damian together in The Brave and the Bold, but I am also very nervous about how they will characterize them. All the Batman projects since Batman Begins have skewed very dark and I don't think that works well if you bring in the whole Batfam (if they just want to add Dick with Battinson, I think that could work but not expanding it to the whole gang). But James Gunn's comments about making the new Superman movie more about kindness feels like it will be a brighter, lighter version (more like the Christopher Reeve movies than the Henry Cavill ones) which I feel is more accurate to most comics, so I am cautiously optimistic for the Batfam in these movies. However, the canon and fanon versions of the Batfam don't always match (neither does the canon version between comic writers), but I am still hopeful for the more loving version we want, and is portrayed fairly well in the DC Animated movies.

As for Duke, Cass, Steph, and Barbara, I'm going to include them in my next post so you will have to wait a little to get my thoughts on them as well as a few others😉

Though because you brought up ages I will mention that all of my castings are based on if I were making a movie or show today. There are a lot of different people I would have loved to have in these roles in the past that are unfortunately just too old at this point.

And just another shout-out to Wayne Family Adventures because it is everything I ever wanted from a Batfam comic/story!!! Plus, the art is so perfect! Yes, the comic is a lot of fan service, but it is really funny while also being deep and emotional at times. It never loses the heart of the characters and you can tell there is so much love in the project and for these characters. If we could get a show or even a web series of this version of the Batfam, it would be a dream come true!

Whumptober is the outright answer. However, any of my canon compliant fic (joel misses his apocalypse wife) can fill that spot. Some of the ones in the ficlet collection are pretty tragic and grim, so angst is adjacent to it.

Those would be the ones where I'm delusional correct and Tess is alive and thriving 🫡

I rarely get the normal type, so no. Luckily, no one is hating on my fics and if they do, I'm not aware 😝

For the love of God, do not use Google translate and take the time to consult the language you're gonna use if it's gonna be a recurring thing 🫶🏼 all my respect and love to writers who get to do their research, y'all are doing amazing sweetie.

I used to (terribly) write anything I could get my hands on, so no idea? Could've been anime to a very niche flash game from the 2010s.

Ella let out an exasperated sigh. “I told you I liked Chad! And you gave my number to Beaver instead! And it turns out, that’s his government name! Not a nickname!”

The lightbulb finally flashed. “Oh! Chad? He’s boring as fuck! Beaver is so hilarious! What did he do?”

He heard Ella lower her voice, and there was a slight echo as if she was hiding in a bathroom. “He just told me a 10-minute joke about a squirrel with the punchline ‘eat these nuts.'"

Leo let out a loud rumble of laughter. “You’re gonna end up having sex missionary with a lot of eye contact.”

“Come pick me up now!” Ella hissed. “This is your fault!”

The next day

Leo sat at the kitchen island, a large bag of ice over his crotch as he thumbed through a new issue of Better Homes & Gardens while sipping his coffee. Ella slammed a drawer shut and it made Leo jump. “What is wrong with you?”

“I can’t believe you did that to me, Leo,” Ella snarled as she stirred her coffee and creamer. “What did I ever do to you?”

“Firstly,” Leo stuck a finger in the air. “I did nothing to you. If anything, I was trying to help a friend. Second,” he stuck another finger up. “You set me up with that model and now my whole penis is broken! You had this coming.”

Ella raised a brow. “Aw, so sad that your toy is broken. That’s a little melodramatic, don’t you think?”

“No, what’s melodramatic is me not being able to get something going with myself! It’s like a taffy pull on a hot summer’s day!”

“Ewwww!” Ella screamed as she covered her ears.

Drake and Maxwell walked into the kitchen, Drake with his normal scowl, Max with his cheerful smile.

“Good morning everyone!”

“What did Rys do now?” Drake asked upon seeing Ella with her hands over her ears.

Ella let out a frustrated sigh. “I can’t even repeat it, I can still see the visual in my retinas!” She stomped off to her room in a huff.

“She left her coffee,” Max quipped. “Let me bring it to her before she short circuits.” He grabbed the mug and high-tailed after her.

Drake took the first sip of his black coffee and sighed happily. “Hey, how long are you gonna ice that thing?”

Leo shook his head sadly. “Eight weeks. Any excitement is excruciating pain.”

Drake nodded in response; then his mouth curled into a mischievous smirk. “Boobies.”

“What?”

He hid his growing smile behind his mug as he took another sip of coffee, then repeated himself a little louder than before. “Boobies.”

Leo sat up in his seat, a broad smile on his face. “Oh I love boobies … ow!”

Drake couldn’t contain his grin as he continued. “Girls with clean hair.”

Leo’s smile had faded and his face contorted into a grimace as he groaned in pain. “This is the least funny game we’ve ever played.”

“Models eating sliders.”

“What the fuck, Walker? Stop!”

“Bernadette Peters on a high beam.”

Leo pressed his forehead against the kitchen island as he squirmed and continued to grab himself to lessen the pain.

“Freshly baked bread,” Drake gleefully continued his word torment.

“Why do you hate me?” Leo yelled.

Drake cackled. “Leo, this is just your hypochondria.”

“No, when I sat on the mute button and thought I’d gone deaf, that was my hypochondria!” He slowly slid off of the bar stool and hobbled to his room. “I need a fucking cast on this!”

“You’re mad.”

“No, I’m not mad,” Leo hollered from his room. “I’m happy, thrilled. I love when you make me look like an idiot.”

Drake wandered to the open door and smirked at his friend laying face down on his bed. “That explains your shoes,” he snorted. “I kid, I kid. But really, they’re ridiculous.”

Leo’s head flung up and glared; he had his fluffy dinosaur house shoes on. “It’s cold and comfortable!”

“It’s 68 degrees, Rys!”

“What are you wearing? Like I’m the one wearing stupid shit!” Leo gestured to Drake’s pants. “Are those your girlfriend’s pajama bottoms?”

Drake awkwardly looked down at himself, forgetting he threw it on and pulled his shirt down over his crotch. “It’s uh … football pants for breast cancer awareness.”

“It’s pink with 'juicy' written on your ass, you freaking weirdo.”

Throwing back the last of his coffee, Drake grimaced and released an exasperated breath. “I like how it hugs my junk okay?”

A door opened down the hall and a female voice echoed down the hallway. “Drake, where are my pants?”

Drake’s eyes widened and he turned and ran back to his bedroom. Leo let out a hoot of laughter, then grunted and grabbed his crotch in pain. “Busted!”

Hello my friend, I hope you are doing well and swimming in money and happiness. My question is, what in the chart can tell us about which quality that is more likely to be valued or noticed by people around us? Is it 10th house and 11th house again? Or are there specific placements to look at?

I might have gotten some details wrong but there's a guy, a creative, he makes content. He tried all kinds of content but none of them worked out, most of these things had himself as the focus. He took a step back and realised that he was good at making other people famous. So he decided to make other people the focus of his content, in a way that allows their individual uniqueness to shine. That's how he got famous. It's like a secret ingredient. He probably has placements that make him feel drawn to creative and independent work, but those specific elements of 'people' and 'uniqueness' are what make the crowd notice him and his work. I want to know where we can find this specific indicator, if possible. It doesn't have to be worldwide recognition like this dude, as long as it pertains to a crowd or group of people.

I mean, yes there's a possibility that if another person tried the same idea he did, it might still be noticed by others, but I wonder if every person has their own secret ingredient. The reason for my ask is that I'm writing a fictional story, and I'm wondering what theme, quality or method I should emphasize in the story that will align with my chart and all the points that can help make the work stand out. I'm doing this for fun I'll still do it regardless of whether I get recognitions or not, but like, why not try making the best version of it at the same time y'know. Also if this quality can be replicated in other fields as well, and not only in creative projects.

You don't have to have planets in these houses, whatever sign sits on them will be noticed by others (ie; aries over the fifth will gain you the reputation of being an active or competitive partner, gemini over the sixth causes people to notice you always dabbling in different things or you're big on small talk, etc).

It depends on the person for what's valued, an introvert will probably avoid someone with Gemini over the sixth (if they're a regular at a store and they know this cashier often strikes up a conversation, they will go to self-checkout for example), so that's up to how the charts play out.

Recognition

Oh I love talking about this, yes you can figure that out! Very obvious one is Second House Ruler Within the Eleventh. It can lead to either gaining from others or helping others. Amy Peohler has this and when you think of the entire cast of Parks & Rec (a show i believe she produced), nearly everyone from there got shot into memorable castings after that. Even then, she's at her best when she's working with those she's close to/on great terms with (which is attributed to her Jupiter, the ruler).

Uh, I guess you can also say Tenth Ruler Within the Eighth, but that heavily depends on what the sign/planet is. This arrangement can range from healing others, dealing with things behind the scenes, or showing others how to deal with things and helping them adjust to life (access to hidden knowledge and sharing it with others). It's not the same as making other people famous though. It's more like showing people the ropes so they can do it themselves lmao.

not weird at ALL. not only does the mekakushi dan have CANON heights but i have my thoughts about them

from shortest to tallest, these are their CANON heights:

hiyori 138 cm (4'5'')

hibiya 140 cm (4'6")

mary 154cm (5'0")

ayano 155 cm (5'1")

takane 157 cm (5'1") as ene, 640 pixels

momo 162 cm (5'3")

kano 165cm (5'4")

kido 168 cm (5'6")

shintaro 172 cm (5'8")

seto 178 cm (5'10")

haruka 182 cm (6'0")

i dont think these heights are bad but i think they're a little silly, especially hibiya and hiyori. girl they're 12. they wouldn't be THAT tiny!!! ive been the same height since i was 12 tbh, ive been 154cm (5'0'') for ten years 😐😐😐 anyways. yeah. they wouldn't be that short, in my sick twisted mind hibiya and hiyori are around the height of mary ayano & takane.

which brings me to. ayano and takane's heights are a little weird, especially takane. they're mostly drawn with a big height difference with ayano being the tallest when they're actually listed with takane being 3 cm taller so they're rly the same height lol. i usually draw ayano as taller for the lols bc i love shortest of the quartet takane, so id probably either make ayano a little taller (maybe 160cm, which would put her as shorter than momo, or maybe just as tall as momo to have a more clear height difference with takane) or takane a little shorter, but i think her height is fine as is. im a little attached to the 157cm bc of how big of a revelation it was JEJDKEKD and idk mary is always described as super short when there's literally 2 other grown characters just as tall as her lol. take ur "kiddy" mary and shove it up ur ass jin ur weird 💗 mary is my height i get her the view is FINE from here.

the thing with takane is that he's got the whole Secret Identity thing like as is takane is KINDA a spoiler character? and enes whole thing is that no one knows where they came from so for a long time we only knew how big ene was in pixels ajdkwjdk and unlike everyone else she does NOT have the funny fun facts like a canon birthday or height or weight. we only know the height bc in a takane sketch from sidu they wrote next to it the 157cm and the fandom took it and ran with it. at least that's how i remember it, i was so damn excited. idk if it has ever been super confirmed (tho its been listed in the wiki for years), so i can see why its so inconsistent to ayano(and mary, who is also close to their height but we see takane with ayano more often) and his weight is listed as 2MB. thats soooo funny. mysterious weight takane sometimes it can be so #girl but also im kinda glad bc the weights are so fucking BULLSHIT.

anyways. id make these characters around the same height (in the range of 154cm to 159 cm) from shorter to tallest: hiyori, hibiya, mary, takane, ayano. maybe even ayano as tall as momo. and hibiya and hiyori would probably grow taller than those 3 as they grow up lol. i think hiyori would end up in a height like momo's and hibiya would be just slightly taller than shintaro which would probably anger shintaro a lot. tho short king hibiya is also funny tbh
